- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Welcome back, big ballers.
- 0:18SPEAKER_01: It's your boy Manny coming in with another episode of your fantasy football sports minds with my co-host, Joe Schmoe, Kings League.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: Joe, how the hell you doing today, brother?
- 0:29SPEAKER_02: I'm doing great, Manny.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: One week till football starts.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: One week from today.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: I'm more than ready.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: I've actually had one draft already, went very well.
- 0:38SPEAKER_02: But as we were saying right before we started recording, it is best to draft this weekend right before the season starts.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: Agreed.
- 0:47SPEAKER_01: That that means everybody kind of has a really good idea on who's who instead of just taking a shot in the dark.
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: Um, obviously, I feel it's the most unbiased way because if it was just drafting early, I'd have such an advantage of all my competitors because I do the research early on, you know.
- 1:05SPEAKER_01: So uh, but either way, uh I'm happy, I'm excited.
- 1:09SPEAKER_01: Uh, football season is here, and uh hopefully another season of championships for myself here.
- 1:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and we're gonna do a few things.
- 1:17SPEAKER_02: We're gonna touch on the news and notes.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: Of course, there there are so this one one reason it is also good to wait is because there's a lot of stuff that happens right before the season starts, as we will go over.
- 1:28SPEAKER_02: But before we get into that, a quick word from our sponsor.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Hey there.
- 1:33SPEAKER_01: My name is Manny James Gonzalez with PRB, and I'm a real estate agent here in Central Florida.
- 1:38SPEAKER_01: I'm a U.S.
- 1:39SPEAKER_01: Navy veteran, military relocation pro, and big supporter of 2A and veterans' rights.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: My specialty is VA transactions, and also experience in all parts of real estate.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: I've been living in Florida for over 20 years, and I can tell you we still believe in freedom down here.
- 1:58SPEAKER_01: One of the greatest job markets, excellent economy, and no state income tax.
- 2:04SPEAKER_01: When it comes to an agent, you want one that's gonna be honest, not afraid of a fight, and most importantly, willing to do the things that some agents aren't willing to do.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: And what's that, Manny?
- 2:15SPEAKER_01: Choose straight, Dan.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: If you ever consider buying in Central Florida, you need somebody you can trust, and I got your sticks.
- 2:26SPEAKER_01: I'm Manny James Gonzalez, buying land for the free and home for the brave.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: Welcome back, ballers.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: Now we have some news and notes to go over, a few injuries to touch on, and then we're gonna get into a mock draft for you where Manny's gonna be drafting from the number one spot, and I'm gonna be drafting from the 12 spot.
- 2:52SPEAKER_02: So you can get an idea of what it's like to draft first and last and be on complete opposite ends of the draft board.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's good.
- 3:00SPEAKER_01: That's a good uh changeup, Joe.
- 3:02SPEAKER_01: I know we were doing like middle of the draft, which you know we discussed was one of the harder places to draft from.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Um, you kind of got to play, uh, be one with the flow.
- 3:11SPEAKER_01: But when you're drafting first or last, uh, you know, my opinion, there's different ways to to go about it.
- 3:17SPEAKER_01: But obviously, uh we'll go into that once we start drafting here.
- 3:21SPEAKER_02: Yeah, absolutely.
- 3:22SPEAKER_02: I mean, it is it is so much different from first, you've got all that time until you come back, and then when you're drafting last, you got back-to-back picks.
- 3:29SPEAKER_02: So it's it's definitely a different strategy, and and we'll discuss that.
- 3:33SPEAKER_02: But first, let's get into our news and notes.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Now, there's some very important news that just dropped today.
- 3:48SPEAKER_02: A couple hours before we start recording.
- 3:51SPEAKER_02: The Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver, Rashi Rice, has accepted a six-game suspension and will miss the first six games of the 2025 season.
- 4:01SPEAKER_02: So anyone that was under the impression that he was gonna start in like week eight or nine, like they were talking about, that is no longer the case.
- 4:08SPEAKER_02: And Terry McLaurin received a three-year deal,$87 million with$44 million fully guaranteed and a$30 million signing bonus.
- 4:17SPEAKER_02: I heard actually it was like 96, so I'm not sure.
- 4:20SPEAKER_02: Uh, but the most recent number I saw was$87 million,$44 million guaranteed and a$30 million signing bonus.
- 4:27SPEAKER_01: And I do I do want to touch on the relevance of that, ladies and gentlemen.
- 4:31SPEAKER_01: Well, at the end of the day, Terry McLaurin was being faded in a lot of drafts because he was having a contract dispute.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: But if you looked at his numbers last year, 13 touchdowns, he hit he, I think he just hit a thousand uh receiving yards for the season, and he wasn't even targeted that much.
- 4:48SPEAKER_01: You know, now a season with him being really in touch with uh Jaden Daniels, I could see his stock, I mean, putting him as one of the top like tier two or three uh wide receivers, in my opinion.
- 5:00SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, no one was looking to draft him last year.
- 5:02SPEAKER_02: I mean, he just kind of fell to you, and um, you know, now that he's made that deal, uh, he's he's definitely shooting up the draft board.
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: I'd say third round pick at least.
- 5:13SPEAKER_02: And uh Carolina Panthers wide receiver Adam Thielen was traded to the Vikings, so he's back with the Vikings.
- 5:19SPEAKER_02: I don't know how much that really matters, but I felt like I should mention it.
- 5:24SPEAKER_02: Um, and again, something that probably doesn't matter that much, but the Saints decided to start Spencer Rattler at QB.
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: He's at least gonna open the season, and we'll see how that goes.
- 5:34SPEAKER_02: Maybe they'll change things up after a few weeks, or maybe they'll stick with him.
- 5:38SPEAKER_01: Well, I'll tell you what, Tyler's show is probably I would want to see what that kid can give me more than Spencer Rattler because he did play a little bit last year, and he did get thrown to the woods, right?
- 5:47SPEAKER_01: He was starting as a rookie and it was a terrible team, terrible situation, and and now he's taking over with uh you know what could be you know a whole new staff altogether.
- 5:58SPEAKER_01: So I don't know if Spencer's that guy, but I definitely am I'm fading Chris Olave.
- 6:03SPEAKER_01: You know, I was never a fan of him this season, but his ADP is way too high for me.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: If he's not falling to like the ninth, tenth round, he's not worth picking up for me.
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: Well, that's why you know when they announced that I think it was yesterday, that's when I asked you, you know, should I just go grab Christian Kirk over um Rasheed Shahid?
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: Because I just don't really like the New Orleans offense, and Christian Kirk's on a on a much better offense.
- 6:29SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: And and that's something I totally slipped my mind.
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: I forgot Kellen Moore went over to the Saints.
- 6:35SPEAKER_01: He was my offensive coordinator for my Philadelphia Eagles last year.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: So uh great offensive mind.
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: I saw Rasheed Shahid actually had a decent, you know, uh season one he played last year.
- 6:46SPEAKER_01: So, you know, best ability is availability, right?
- 6:49SPEAKER_01: So we'll see how he stays on the field this year.
- 6:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he started off hot last year, that's for sure.
- 6:54SPEAKER_02: And uh another minor note that you probably heard Keenan Allen is on the Chargers, so that'll be interesting to see how that pans out.
- 7:01SPEAKER_01: Nice flex play.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: Keenan Allen, he's probably going like around your 10th round, you know, 12-man draft.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: So um definitely worth a nice little flex spot on your team.
- 7:12SPEAKER_02: Yeah, doesn't hurt to keep him on your bench for a couple weeks and see how he see how he does.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: Now to get in some important injury news, it is official that Joe Mixon will miss at least the first four games of the season.
- 7:26SPEAKER_02: Uh, I was actually kind of high on him going into the season.
- 7:30SPEAKER_02: I thought, you know, they're talking about his ankle and his foot, but there's enough time.
- 7:33SPEAKER_02: Apparently, they don't know when he's gonna play.
- 7:36SPEAKER_02: And as we know, Tank Dell, he's also gonna miss at least the first four games and probably more.
- 7:40SPEAKER_02: So Houston uh wide receivers, that's another reason where Christian Kirk might be a good guy to grab.
- 7:47SPEAKER_02: Uh Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson was moved to the pup list, and Jaden Reed is actually back at practice, but he said he still can't run routes without pain, so he's not certain to play week one.
- 8:00SPEAKER_02: We'll see.
- 8:02SPEAKER_02: And then at Tampa Bay, there's a lot going on.
- 8:05SPEAKER_02: As we know, uh wide receiver Jalen McMillan was placed on IR and will miss uh a good chunk of the season.
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: Godwin, he's taking his recovery very slowly and probably won't practice until week two.
- 8:18SPEAKER_02: And just today, uh, there was a report that Cade Otten is dealing with a leg injury that was different from the hamstring issue he had a few weeks ago.
- 8:28SPEAKER_02: Uh, so his status for week one is in question.
- 8:30SPEAKER_02: And I actually really liked him due to the issues at wide receiver.
- 8:34SPEAKER_02: I thought he was gonna get fed more, but you know, now Ibuka is looking a lot better as as someone to grab, and same with Mike Evans.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, Mike, Mike all day on your radar should have been.
- 8:46SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I mean, of course he's already on your radar, but just with that news, you know, it might bump him up a little more.
- 8:52SPEAKER_02: Now, as we know, uh Brandon Ayuk is on IR and will miss at least four games, probably more.
- 8:59SPEAKER_02: And uh Juwan Jennings is dealing with a calf issue that I thought was minor, but now they're saying he might miss me miss week one.
- 9:06SPEAKER_02: So keep an eye on that and make plans.
- 9:10SPEAKER_02: Uh Titans running back Tajay Spears was placed on IR.
- 9:14SPEAKER_02: Um the Ravens tight end, Isaiah Likely was not placed on IR because the team expects him to return, but they didn't say exactly when.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: They just said the early part of the season.
- 9:25SPEAKER_02: I'm not sure what that means.
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: And then a new report uh Darnell Mooney, he was also not placed on IR, despite the fact that he has not practiced really at all in the preseason.
- 9:37SPEAKER_02: So keep an eye on him for sure.
- 9:39SPEAKER_02: And last but not least, running back Najee Harris was activated, and they're saying he could actually play in week one.
- 9:48SPEAKER_02: I don't know, he's never missed a game.
- 9:50SPEAKER_02: Maybe his involvement will be very minimal, but they're saying he could play in week one.
- 9:54SPEAKER_01: He's part of the celebration part of the show.
- 9:56SPEAKER_01: He's gonna light the fireworks.
- 10:00SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 10:03SPEAKER_02: Oh, yeah, that's all we got for you.
- 10:06SPEAKER_02: Now let's get into our mock draft from the first and the last spot.
- 10:14SPEAKER_01: Welcome back, ballers.
- 10:16SPEAKER_01: So uh going into this draft here, obviously, uh me and drill want to talk some strategy for you.
- 10:21SPEAKER_01: So me picking in the beginning, obviously, this is uh something that you don't want to overthink, right?
- 10:27SPEAKER_01: You gotta have your top number one guy you're gonna pick no matter what happens, right?
- 10:31SPEAKER_01: So always go with that pick.
- 10:33SPEAKER_01: Um for me, I have mine.
- 10:35SPEAKER_01: Everyone has might have differ a little bit, but most of them are gonna go Jamar Chase, right?
- 10:41SPEAKER_01: Um but in this case, what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna uh build my team very strategically.
- 10:48SPEAKER_01: So since I'm picking first, it's gonna be a while for my second pick, but my second and third are back to back.
- 10:53SPEAKER_01: So the guys that I'm picking up front are gonna be my foundation for my team.
- 10:57SPEAKER_01: So I'm I'm looking at guys that are gonna hit 30 points a game consistently.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: So that's gonna be wide receiver, running back, or quarterback.
- 11:05SPEAKER_01: You know, those are the three positions you're looking at only.
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: You shouldn't be touching a tight end, none of that.
- 11:11SPEAKER_01: Now, uh Joe, your your obviously your opinion on where you're picking from.
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: Uh similar mindset where I'm trying to load up and get the the rock solid studs, and again, I'm not focusing on tight end.
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: Like I know a lot of people are taking Brock Bowers at the beginning of the second round.
- 11:31SPEAKER_02: Uh, I just feel like there's better options out there, and um specifically with the wide receiver and running back positions, like you're you're just so stacked up that I I don't really have as much confidence in Brock Bauer as everybody else.
- 11:46SPEAKER_02: You know, he's he's on the Raiders.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: We were just talking about their quarterback issues, and um, I would feel more comfortable just taking someone that's uh gonna be a guaranteed 25 every week that's on a good offense, and that's what I'm gonna look for on mine.
- 12:01SPEAKER_02: I'm getting back-to-back picks, I'm gonna look at what's left on the board.
- 12:05SPEAKER_02: If there are two incredible running backs, I'm taking two running backs.
- 12:08SPEAKER_02: If there's an incredible wide receiver and running back, that's what I'll do.
- 12:11SPEAKER_02: And I might on the way back wait for a quarterback, but you know, you can reach if you want Josh Allen or or Lamar.
- 12:19SPEAKER_02: So if you guys really want someone like that on your team, take them.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: I would just say, you know, wait for tight ends pretty much until sixth, seventh round.
- 12:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, those guys aren't worth grabbing.
- 12:32SPEAKER_01: I mean, you and I were talking about something as well, Joe, before this, that you know, the 50-point difference per season, 50 points divided by 17 points is like 2.9 and some change.
- 12:43SPEAKER_01: So consider it three points a game.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: So when you're talking about the difference between tight ends and and wide receivers, so most wide receivers are going to be on average like uh 250 to 300.
- 12:55SPEAKER_01: That's like a really good solid season.
- 12:57SPEAKER_01: For your tight ends, there's only a couple tight ends that had great seasons.
- 13:02SPEAKER_01: Well, a few, right?
- 13:03SPEAKER_01: Trey McBride, Brock Bowers, Kittle, but they're still on they're still hitting 50 points less per game than the uh per the season as than the other guys.
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: So to take a guy in the third round, second round, where you're seeing those guys getting picked just to get 17 points a game is not worth it.
- 13:22SPEAKER_01: I'd rather get you know 20 points for this position instead of 15, uh, because at the end of the day, just your team's gonna overall score more, and that's what the whole point is is right score the most points.
- 13:35SPEAKER_01: So uh and you're not you're not gonna have a tight end that's gonna have a huge week every one, uh, pretty confidently every time.
- 13:42SPEAKER_02: So yeah, that's such a valid point.
- 13:44SPEAKER_02: When you just look at the total, the season total that they're projecting, there's a clear difference of 50, 60 points between the top tight ends and the top running backs and wide receivers.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: Easily.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: So let's get this party started.
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: You've got the number one pick.
- 14:02SPEAKER_02: We'll talk everyone through it in case they're just listening.
- 14:04SPEAKER_02: We'll let you know what every team picks, the other the other robots.
- 14:09SPEAKER_01: So obviously, uh, I mean, I have my little cheat sheet here, my my Excel sheet on guys that I love personally, um, as my top guy.
- 14:18SPEAKER_01: And you know, we did talk about this for our running back rankings already, right?
- 14:22SPEAKER_01: Top number one guy.
- 14:23SPEAKER_01: So I would actually go Saquon just because I like uh superstar running back.
- 14:37SPEAKER_02: All right, so as Manny was just saying, he went with Barkley.
- 14:41SPEAKER_02: Number two was C.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: D.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: Lamb, number three was Jamar Chase, four was Jameer Gibbs, who I have as my number one running back, Bijan Robinson at five, Derek Henry at six, Justin Jefferson at seven, amon Ross St.
- 14:55SPEAKER_02: Brown at eight, Malik Neighbors at nine, hookanakua at team ten, and then Christian McCaffrey at the 11th spot.
- 15:04SPEAKER_02: And now I'm up.
- 15:05SPEAKER_02: And the guys that we got on the board for running back are Ashton Genty, Devon Achan, Josh Jacobs, Bucky Irving, Jonathan Taylor, Kyron Williams.
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: Wide receiver, you got Nico Collins, Brian Thomas, Drake London, AJ Brown, Ladd McConkey.
- 15:22SPEAKER_02: Now, typically, I'm always looking for the running backs, but I actually like the wide receivers that are left a lot.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: And I'm not as high on Ashton Genty as everybody else.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: Um, not saying he couldn't be in the top five.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: I just have my concerns with that offense and with him being a rookie.
- 15:42SPEAKER_02: Devon Achan's got a little bit of uh issue right now that is making me nervous to draft him.
- 15:48SPEAKER_02: Josh Jacobs is a guaranteed stud every week on a good offense.
- 15:52SPEAKER_02: I like the idea of taking Josh Jacobs.
- 15:54SPEAKER_02: Bucky Irving, same thing.
- 15:55SPEAKER_02: Little nervous about Jonathan Taylor just with his injury history.
- 15:59SPEAKER_02: I think I'm actually gonna go with a wide receiver, a guy I told you I was very high on, Nico Collins.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: Now coming right back around, it's very tempting to grab another wide receiver in Brian Thomas or Drake London, but then I'm gonna be left with scraps at running back.
- 16:16SPEAKER_02: A lot of people are going double wide receiver.
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: I think it's risky.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: Now let me take let me take a look.
- 16:22SPEAKER_02: Quarterback, you got Josh, you got everybody still a quarterback, but I'm gonna go with Josh Jacobs.
- 16:31SPEAKER_01: Yeah, that's a solid pick.
- 16:32SPEAKER_01: I have Josh Jacobs as my number five running back now.
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: I put him over Henry with my final rankings.
- 16:39SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I'm huge, huge on Jacobs again.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: Oops, hold on one second, guys.
- 16:45SPEAKER_01: Josh Allen fell off the board, so did Lamar Jackson.
- 16:48SPEAKER_01: I had back-to-back picks.
- 16:50SPEAKER_01: So I know if I don't get my superstar QB right now, he ain't ever coming around.
- 16:55SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 16:56SPEAKER_01: So all the guys left, Bucky Irving, Lad McConkey, Tyree Kill, you know, you still have Shake McBride, T.
- 17:03SPEAKER_01: Higgins, these are like second, third round guys.
- 17:06SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna definitely get my QB.
- 17:08SPEAKER_01: And um because I like to mix it up, I'm not gonna do Jalen Hurts, I'm gonna do Jaden Daniels as my primary guy.
- 17:16SPEAKER_01: And then for my second guy, I want to get somebody I got Saquon Barkley, the next best running back, Bucky Irvin, Chase Brown, James Cook, Reese Hall.
- 17:25SPEAKER_01: These are all guys I consider like tier two guys, right?
- 17:28SPEAKER_01: Uh, but I could go over here to this side and get one of the final tier, I say, I say higher end tier two wide receivers in McConkie.
- 17:40SPEAKER_01: So that's what I'm gonna do because all these guys here are pretty valuable, but uh I think he's the best guy right now on the board.
- 17:49SPEAKER_02: That's a really good stack that you got.
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: You know, you've got a running back, quarterback, wide receiver.
- 17:54SPEAKER_02: I love it.
- 17:55SPEAKER_02: And for me, you know, so after all those guys I was talking about, considering they were taken off the board in the second round, including Brock Powers and Um, as as you just grabbed, Jaden Daniels.
- 18:07SPEAKER_02: Then we got McConkey, Bucky Irving, Tyreek Hill, Chase Brown.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: I was thinking about taking him, but Josh Jacobs is just gonna be that reliable floor.
- 18:17SPEAKER_02: I I think he he and Chase Brown, I have them really close in my rankings, but I do think Chase Brown has the ability to finish inside the top five.
- 18:25SPEAKER_02: Then after that, you got Brees Hall, not a huge fan of that.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: Joe Burrow, I love Burrow.
- 18:31SPEAKER_02: Jalen Hurts, I love Jalen Hurts.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: Trey McBride, also good.
- 18:34SPEAKER_02: JSN, rock solid pick.
- 18:37SPEAKER_02: Marvin Harrison Jr.
- 18:38SPEAKER_02: And then we've got uh Cook at the 11th spot.
- 18:43SPEAKER_02: So now I'm back up.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: Who do we have at running back?
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: Alvin Kamara, Amarian Hampton, Kenneth Walker, Chubba Hubbard, James Connor.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: Who do we have at wide receiver?
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: I can grab both these guys.
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: T.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: Higgins, Garrett Wilson, Mike Evans, Terry McLaurin, Devontae Adams.
- 18:57SPEAKER_02: We were just talking about how much we like Mike Evans due to the situation in Tampa.
- 19:03SPEAKER_02: And we're also talking about how much we like Terry McLaurin.
- 19:06SPEAKER_02: And you were talking about third round.
- 19:08SPEAKER_02: You know, we're now in the fourth round.
- 19:10SPEAKER_02: But T.
- 19:11SPEAKER_02: Higgins, Garrett Wilson, I I like them, but not as much as Mike Evans.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna go with Mike Evans here.
- 19:17SPEAKER_01: Mike, great pick.
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: And honestly, T.
- 19:20SPEAKER_01: Higgins being here this late is a surprise.
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: He's us he's a second and third round guy.
- 19:25SPEAKER_02: So, you know, is when he's healthy, he's he's one of the best wide receivers in the league.
- 19:30SPEAKER_01: Like he put up our wide receiver one, you know, uh not top superstar receiver, but he put up wide receiver one numbers last year, 1,047 yards, eight touchdowns.
- 19:40SPEAKER_01: He only played like 13 games.
- 19:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
- 19:44SPEAKER_02: Now I'm going back over to the running backs because I'd rather just double up with two running backs and two wide receivers than grab a quarterback right now.
- 19:55SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna wait for the quarterback now, and I'm gonna wait for the tight end now.
- 19:58SPEAKER_02: So, who do we have at running back?
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: We got Alvin Kamara.
- 20:00SPEAKER_02: I like Kamara a lot.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: We've got a Marion Hampton who has climbed a lot up my rankings.
- 20:06SPEAKER_02: I I didn't actually have him at first in my top 25 because I didn't think he was gonna get a lot of time at the beginning of the season.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: Now we know that since Najee and practicing, that situation has changed over there.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 20:18SPEAKER_01: I've been I've been high on that man uh for a while.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: The problem is it took so long for the season to roll around now, every it's no longer a secret.
- 20:27SPEAKER_02: Right, that's true.
- 20:28SPEAKER_02: And it does feel like a little bit of a reach to take him in the fourth.
- 20:32SPEAKER_02: But here's the thing if I don't take him now, he's not coming back to me.
- 20:36SPEAKER_02: And and honestly, he's just a little more exciting to have on my team than Alvin Kamara, who I've had on my team like 10 times.
- 20:43SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna go with Amari and Hampton right here.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: Bro, that Harbaugh run offense is gonna be so good for him.
- 20:50SPEAKER_01: Like you saw what he did for J.K.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: Dobbins.
- 20:52SPEAKER_01: Oh, you talk about a dude like Amari Hampton, like he's gonna fucking dominate, bro.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: And and Najee Harris is just gonna get some breathers, give him some breathers.
- 21:03SPEAKER_01: But uh, anyways, uh obviously we had a good runoff over here.
- 21:06SPEAKER_01: I'm not gonna go over everyone, but I will say that they did pick everyone that I was considering.
- 21:11SPEAKER_01: I was looking at Chuba Hubbard, Mick Lauren, obviously Matt Calf, right?
- 21:16SPEAKER_01: Those were the guys that I expected to stay a little bit later.
- 21:18SPEAKER_02: So you're just talking about two.
- 21:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yeah, he's I knew he was gonna be gone.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: So now my running backs are these guys, right?
- 21:25SPEAKER_01: So now we're getting to our rookie rounds.
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: The four uh fifth, sixth round, you're talking more about rookies, uh, as far as like the talent projection.
- 21:36SPEAKER_01: But because those running backs are kind of suspect right now, what I want to do is I want to get a stud wide receiver because I got the chance to get some higher end wide receivers here because fuck a tight end is early.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 21:54SPEAKER_01: Running backs Pacheco, Trevion, Tony Pollard, Caleb.
- 21:59SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Know exactly what I'm gonna do.
- 22:01SPEAKER_01: So uh in this case, I'm gonna go with whatever receiver I want on my team, right?
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: So I I like DJ Moore, but actually in my rankings, I have who do I have higher?
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: DJ Moore or Devontae Smith.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: I actually had Devontae Smith a couple spots higher on my rankings.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: How about Cortland Sutton and Xavier Worthy?
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Yep.
- 22:26SPEAKER_01: Okay, so I'm gonna get Cortland Sutton.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: Get that connection here.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: So I got two studs, but I need to definitely go running back.
- 22:34SPEAKER_02: That would have been my pick, too, by the way.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: I was I would have grabbed Sutton right there.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: I really like him.
- 22:39SPEAKER_01: He's good, and then I'm gonna take the guy that has all the hype and looked amazing in training camp, Trevion Henderson.
- 22:45SPEAKER_01: Man, everybody knows Ramondre was losing that job two years ago.
- 22:49SPEAKER_01: So it finally drafted somebody.
- 22:53SPEAKER_02: Dude, it's true.
- 22:54SPEAKER_02: It's funny because it's true.
- 22:58SPEAKER_02: But they were kind of giving us mixed signals at the beginning of the season, but it's pretty clear now.
- 23:04SPEAKER_02: Um, now one thing I did want to touch on is in the third round, George Kittle was taken off the board.
- 23:09SPEAKER_02: I I think it's a little too early.
- 23:12SPEAKER_02: That's just my opinion.
- 23:13SPEAKER_02: But you know, Kittle's one of those guys that's gonna give you peaks and valleys, but the situation in San Francisco, that's a pretty solid pick, too.
- 23:20SPEAKER_01: When healthy, he's you know, putting up 20 points a game in that offense.
- 23:24SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:24SPEAKER_02: And and like, you know, he's gonna be operating as a wide receiver with all these injuries they got going on right now, probably running next to uh Ricky Pearsall.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: So a few more players came off the board that I really like.
- 23:35SPEAKER_02: Devonta Smith is someone I would have considered too, but there's someone I'm really high on that's still left right now.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: Actually, a couple guys.
- 23:43SPEAKER_02: Pickens.
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: Just look at the first three guys there in the ADP George Pickens, Jamison Williams, and Tetaroa McMillan.
- 23:50SPEAKER_02: I like all those guys.
- 23:52SPEAKER_02: Like those are solid picks.
- 23:53SPEAKER_02: I even really like Calvin Ridley.
- 23:55SPEAKER_02: He's still hanging around up there.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: Now let's take a look at running back.
- 23:58SPEAKER_02: Not as appealing, not as appealing.
- 24:01SPEAKER_02: Isaiah Pacheco, Aaron Jones, DeAndre Swift, Mixon, who we were just talking about, is not gonna be playing for at least four to six weeks.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: Pollard is a good pick.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: I like him.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: He's still up there.
- 24:11SPEAKER_02: Quarterback at this point, I'm still waiting.
- 24:15SPEAKER_02: Tight end, I'm still waiting.
- 24:16SPEAKER_02: So which running back and which wide receiver am I going with next?
- 24:20SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go with Jamison Williams.
- 24:24SPEAKER_02: I actually like him a little bit more than Pickens.
- 24:26SPEAKER_02: I know a lot of people disagree with me, but I do like him a little bit more.
- 24:30SPEAKER_01: Tesla's taking a lot of those targets, man.
- 24:33SPEAKER_01: They're not all going to Jamison.
- 24:35SPEAKER_01: Isaac Tesla, the rookie, third round pick, he's gonna get a lot of that uh burn this year, too.
- 24:39SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they've been talking a lot about him, man.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: They're saying I I don't think he's gonna take as many from Jamison, but if anything happens to him, he's gonna step in no problem.
- 24:49SPEAKER_00: Yeah, plug and play.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: Now, I'm gonna take a risk here with running back, but I just feel like we didn't get it enough from Isaiah Pacheco last year.
- 25:00SPEAKER_02: I think he came back injured, and I think if he's healthy and he's strong, he could be that guy again that we saw two years ago.
- 25:08SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna roll the dice on Isaiah Pacheco.
- 25:11SPEAKER_01: I'm a little worried about him, you know.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: I am too like he I thought he was healthy last year, and they just didn't let him play, you know.
- 25:18SPEAKER_01: So that to me was a little bit worrisome.
- 25:21SPEAKER_01: Like, is he injured or what?
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: You know, right.
- 25:24SPEAKER_01: So at this point, obviously, one of my higher end guys actually have Calvin Ridley really high on my rankings here.
- 25:31SPEAKER_01: So had I known I'd overlooked him earlier, so Calvin Ridley is actually one spot above uh Cortland Sutton in my rankings.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 25:39SPEAKER_01: I have him as the number 20.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: Obviously, I'm in a position now where you know running back is getting thin.
- 25:46SPEAKER_01: You know, as you can see here, there's only a couple starters left, and the rest of the guys are coming in as flexes.
- 25:52SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna take one of those starters.
- 25:54SPEAKER_01: You mentioned one of their names, Tony Pollard and Tyrone Tracy are the only two starters left up here.
- 26:00SPEAKER_01: Everybody else, Caleb Johnson, he didn't have a good camp.
- 26:03SPEAKER_01: Quinshawn Junkins, Judkins, who knows if he's even gonna play this year.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: Brian Robinson, backup, ETN, he could be a starter, but he could split time all together with uh Tank Bidsby.
- 26:16SPEAKER_01: So, you know, I'm gonna go with the guaranteed start.
- 26:19SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna go with Tony Pollard and a terrible Titans offense.
- 26:23SPEAKER_01: No one's gonna take his touches.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: Um, so that's number one there.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: And of course, like it's not even a question for Calvin Ridley, he's the best guy left on the clock here.
- 26:36SPEAKER_01: So I'm just gonna keep that balanced approach.
- 26:40SPEAKER_01: I have three wide receivers, three running backs now.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: So I want to I want to touch on both those guys because you said that your ranking for Cortland Sutton was number 20, right?
- 26:51SPEAKER_02: 21 for 21.
- 26:52SPEAKER_02: And and Calvin was number 20.
- 26:54SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: Okay, that's funny because I have for my rankings, I have Cortland Sutton at 20.
- 27:00SPEAKER_02: So we're we're real close there.
- 27:02SPEAKER_02: But I also was considering when I took Pacheco, I was considering Tony Pollard because I like Tony Pollard as a like very safe floor.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he's a good starter, man.
- 27:11SPEAKER_01: He's gonna get you like a good 17 a game.
- 27:15SPEAKER_02: Now I'm gonna take a glance at quarterback and see what we got going on, and then you know what?
- 27:21SPEAKER_02: I might grab a uh tight end after that because I'm I'm pretty good at at running back and wide receiver.
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: You know, I got three of each, so let's see who we got a quarterback.
- 27:31SPEAKER_02: Kyler Murray, Justin Herbert, Brock Purdy, Dak, CJ Stroud, Drake May.
- 27:36SPEAKER_02: Honestly, don't really love any of those guys, but I feel like Justin Herbert is gonna be much better this year than he has in past years.
- 27:44SPEAKER_02: And the situation at San Francisco makes me a little iffy about Brock.
- 27:49SPEAKER_02: A lot of people really like Dak this year.
- 27:51SPEAKER_02: They're high on Dak.
- 27:52SPEAKER_02: I'm not as high on Dak.
- 27:54SPEAKER_02: I'm pretty much looking at Kyler Murray and Justin Herbert right now because Kyler Murray, I feel like he's gonna put it together, he's got a lot of weapons, and same thing with Justin Herbert.
- 28:04SPEAKER_02: Um, I'm a little tiny bit higher on Justin Herbert, so I'm gonna grab him.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: Agreed, he's a safer play for sure.
- 28:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and now I'm looking at tight end, and I'll be honest with you, it's Slim Pickens already.
- 28:20SPEAKER_02: But um a lot, dude.
- 28:25SPEAKER_02: I'm not as high on Tyler Warren.
- 28:26SPEAKER_02: A lot of people are talking about Tyler Warren and they love him.
- 28:31SPEAKER_02: I just I mean, he's on the Colts, you know, it's hard to digest.
- 28:36SPEAKER_02: But I'm just gonna go with the consensus on oh wait, Tucker Kraft's still there.
- 28:43SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go with Tucker Kraft.
- 28:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I'm I'm not and to your point, too, like the Colts had Michael Pittman last year, they couldn't even scheme him open, you know.
- 28:53SPEAKER_01: So that quarterback situation has not gotten any better.
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: No, and uh Daniel Jones is your starter, fuck that.
- 29:00SPEAKER_01: I'm not bent on Daniel Jones, and uh as far as tight ends, I don't touch tight ends for at least the 11th round.
- 29:07SPEAKER_01: So guess what?
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: Uh, because at the end of the day, this guy's gonna score 10 to 12 a game, this guy's gonna score 10 to 12 a game, this guy is gonna 11 to 12.
- 29:17SPEAKER_02: As we were talking about, yeah, it's like the the fall off is is steep.
- 29:21SPEAKER_02: But you can get if you can get that consistent, even 8 to 12.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: I mean, that's what you're looking at.
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: Look, I got another starter right here, Tyrone Tracy.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: Boom.
- 29:31SPEAKER_01: Another running back starter, and then who else?
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: Oh, speaking of the devil, Ibuka.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: If you're gonna get him, you're typically gonna get Ibuka and uh no later than the eighth round, guys.
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: Like, if you see him, we just talked about him earlier, he's gonna get so much burn.
- 29:48SPEAKER_01: You know, like it's it's like I knew he was gonna have a good roll, but like everybody's dropping like flies over there in Tampa Bay, and it's just you know, unfortunately, he's gonna be unleashed and he's gonna be on fire too.
- 30:00SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, before the situation we were talking about with um, you know, over at Tampa Bay, like we knew they were a little banged up, we didn't know the severity of it.
- 30:08SPEAKER_02: And we liked to buca before, you know.
- 30:11SPEAKER_02: So now even more so, he's gonna be getting a lot more reps.
- 30:14SPEAKER_01: So if you look at my team now, I have four wide receivers, and of course, I'm gonna go for a running back because you don't always get a chance to get uh uh another starting running back uh this late in the in the game.
- 30:26SPEAKER_01: So Tyrone Tracy, they have a way better quarterback in New York.
- 30:30SPEAKER_01: I think that was about the Eagles getting drafted in the ninth round.
- 30:34SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah, it definitely wasn't for my pick.
- 30:38SPEAKER_02: No, and it and and I doubt it was for Cooper Cup.
- 30:41SPEAKER_02: Oh, it might have been for Brandon Aubrey, a kicker.
- 30:44SPEAKER_02: We so so one of these AI bots went Eagles D, and then right after him, someone went Brandon Aubrey.
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: Uh, maybe it was one of those.
- 30:53SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 30:54SPEAKER_01: I would say Eagles D this early, man.
- 30:56SPEAKER_01: That's crazy.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: So one guy I was hoping would stick around for me that just came off the board is Ricky Pearsall.
- 31:04SPEAKER_02: Um I really like him.
- 31:06SPEAKER_02: Dude, I like Tyrone Tracy as a safe floor, too.
- 31:08SPEAKER_02: I had him on every team last year.
- 31:11SPEAKER_02: I grabbed him a couple weeks before he went off, and it paid off big time.
- 31:16SPEAKER_02: Now he fell off a little towards the end of the season, but he was getting touchdowns and was was very helpful.
- 31:22SPEAKER_02: Uh now I'm looking at running backs and wide receivers again because that's all I want to fill at this point.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: Options at wide receiver, Juwan Jennings, who's got the calf issues, Josh Downs, who's always got injury issues, and he's on the Colts, Michael Pittman.
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: He's not even close to being on my radar.
- 31:40SPEAKER_02: Keon Corey.
- 31:41SPEAKER_02: Keon.
- 31:41SPEAKER_01: I like Keon, man.
- 31:42SPEAKER_02: I I I'm not as high on Keon just because you know we're we've been waiting to see it, and it's it still hasn't happened.
- 31:50SPEAKER_02: Um I actually like Darmel Darnell Mooney a lot, but now that he's got you know the issues with his shoulder that are more severe than we knew, I'm not sure about him either.
- 32:02SPEAKER_02: I'm going back to running back.
- 32:03SPEAKER_02: We got Jordan Mason, Zach Charbonnet, Javante Williams, Nick Chubb.
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: Nick Chubb's the starter in Houston now.
- 32:11SPEAKER_02: So that's gonna be probably at least a respectable floor, especially because uh they got some issues at wide receiver as well.
- 32:19SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna actually grab Nick Chubb.
- 32:21SPEAKER_01: And I do want to talk about that.
- 32:23SPEAKER_01: So Nick Chubb, you put up a great point.
- 32:26SPEAKER_01: Like I was high on him.
- 32:27SPEAKER_01: I knew Joe Mixon was a good one.
- 32:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you were high on him.
- 32:29SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you were high on him before that news was announced, though, that he was gonna miss that much time.
- 32:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and now obviously he's on everybody's radar.
- 32:36SPEAKER_01: But the what I like about Nick Chubb, he's gonna guarantee to get the full workload those first few games.
- 32:42SPEAKER_01: So when you're looking to set up your team, you know, and you're waiting for your stars to develop or like get into that flow, a guy like Nick Chubb just kind of steps in and gives you that really high ceiling, you know.
- 32:53SPEAKER_01: So I'm very, very happy with him this year.
- 32:57SPEAKER_02: And I totally agree with all that, and you know, there's a few guys left that are in a similar situation, but I'm not as high on him, like Austin Eckler.
- 33:06SPEAKER_02: He's now the number one, allegedly, over in uh Washington, but they're probably gonna be on a committee.
- 33:11SPEAKER_02: I have a feeling all those guys are gonna get work.
- 33:14SPEAKER_02: And um Javante Williams, I have my concerns with him, but at the top of this, you got Jordan Mason and Zach Charbonnet still left on the list.
- 33:23SPEAKER_02: I kind of like both of them, and it's unfortunately because of who the starter is.
- 33:28SPEAKER_02: Jordan Mason is behind injury prone Aaron Jones.
- 33:33SPEAKER_02: I love Aaron Jones, but you know, he's probably not gonna play a full season.
- 33:37SPEAKER_02: Zach Charbonnet is behind the incredible Kenneth Walker, who's an amazing athlete, probably not gonna play a full season.
- 33:43SPEAKER_02: I think I'm gonna grab one of those guys, and I'm actually not sure in my rankings who I had.
- 33:52SPEAKER_02: I think I had Jordan Mason higher in my rankings.
- 33:58SPEAKER_02: So I'm gonna go with him, but it's a toss-up between those two, really.
- 34:02SPEAKER_01: Well, Javante's um a starter in Dallas, you know.
- 34:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I'm not I'm just oh kicker.
- 34:11SPEAKER_02: Yeah, kicker and then Steelers right after that, which yeah, it's just way too early.
- 34:15SPEAKER_02: Don't take it, don't take a defensive or kicker until the last two rounds.
- 34:19SPEAKER_01: Yeah, definitely.
- 34:20SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I'm just I'm just not sure about it.
- 34:22SPEAKER_02: I I have a feeling that Dallas could be a committee as well.
- 34:26SPEAKER_01: So now I'm round number 10.
- 34:28SPEAKER_01: Let's see, I got one, two, three, four receivers, one, two, three, four running backs.
- 34:33SPEAKER_01: My running back stable is a little bit light, but the guys, oh, Jay Krosky Mary.
- 34:40SPEAKER_01: Oh my goodness, he was so far down in the rankings.
- 34:43SPEAKER_01: Guys, he's not gonna be here this late.
- 34:44SPEAKER_01: This is somebody I totally forgot to talk about.
- 34:47SPEAKER_01: He's a starting running back for Washington, and if he's not on your radar, guys, you definitely need to take another look.
- 34:55SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, I think just to touch on that real quick, I think, like, see, right now, technically, Austin Eckler is still at the top of the depth chart.
- 35:02SPEAKER_02: I think they are gonna be on a committee for at least a few weeks.
- 35:04SPEAKER_02: Now, I do think he's going to be the starter, no doubt.
- 35:07SPEAKER_02: But I don't know how quickly that's gonna happen.
- 35:11SPEAKER_01: Um, and then for my next pick, obviously I'm in the 10th, 11th round.
- 35:15SPEAKER_01: So now for tight ends, I have a few good options.
- 35:18SPEAKER_01: Obviously, will this be the year that Kyle Pitts shows up, right?
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: You know, with Michael Peenix Jr.
- 35:26SPEAKER_01: Um, there's a couple other guys, uh, Zach Gurtz, Dallas Goddard, and actually the guy on the top of my list here is gonna be Jake Ferguson.
- 35:35SPEAKER_02: He uh he liked that, dude.
- 35:37SPEAKER_02: He would be at the top of my list too.
- 35:39SPEAKER_01: He had a good season last year.
- 35:41SPEAKER_01: He just got hurt, you know.
- 35:42SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and Dak Dak is gonna if Dak's 100% and so is Ferguson, they will put up numbers.
- 35:51SPEAKER_02: All right, so back to me.
- 35:53SPEAKER_02: We had a lot of uh questionable picks in that round.
- 35:58SPEAKER_02: Um, but hey, it's the 11th round.
- 36:00SPEAKER_02: What what can you do?
- 36:02SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna go glance back at wide receiver and see who we got left.
- 36:06SPEAKER_02: Brandon Ayuk, not on my radar, Rashid Shaheed, not this not until the end.
- 36:11SPEAKER_02: Marvin Mims.
- 36:12SPEAKER_02: I actually do like Marvin Mims.
- 36:14SPEAKER_02: Um he's a little banged up right now, though.
- 36:18SPEAKER_02: What does it say about his injury?
- 36:21SPEAKER_02: Uh okay, so that just happened um on Wednesday.
- 36:25SPEAKER_02: Today, we're recording on Wednesday.
- 36:28SPEAKER_02: He left practice early with a groin injury, but they say it's not gonna be that serious.
- 36:32SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna grab Marvin Mims.
- 36:35SPEAKER_02: And now we were talking about Christian Kirk with the issues over at uh over in Houston.
- 36:42SPEAKER_02: Um, I was deciding as as you know, between Rashid Shaheed and Christian Kirk.
- 36:48SPEAKER_02: Um I don't really like either of those guys, but I feel like this late in the draft, they could do something.
- 36:59SPEAKER_02: You still have Keenan hanging around, who could be a touchdown threat.
- 37:06SPEAKER_01: And you know, an automatic chemistry already with Justin Herbert, man.
- 37:10SPEAKER_01: He's gonna step right into the same role again.
- 37:12SPEAKER_02: I have a feeling you're right about that, but one guy that is still hanging around, I I was just mentioning I think he's gonna be um involved at least at the beginning, is Austin Eckler.
- 37:22SPEAKER_02: And then also Braylon Allen is still hanging around, and um there's a chance he could be involved too.
- 37:32SPEAKER_02: I would I'm only going with I'm going with Keenan.
- 37:35SPEAKER_01: I was gonna say I'm only grabbing Braylon Allen if I have Brees Hall.
- 37:39SPEAKER_01: You know, like I'll handcuff him, but you know, to have him for only a few weeks is not enough for me to like stash them that long, you know.
- 37:47SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I hear you.
- 37:49SPEAKER_01: So now uh my pick rolls around, right?
- 37:52SPEAKER_01: Best available.
- 37:53SPEAKER_01: There's 12th round, there's only four more rounds.
- 37:56SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna get two back to back.
- 37:58SPEAKER_01: So I already have my quarterback.
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: I don't need to go over here.
- 38:03SPEAKER_01: So looking at uh running backs, most of these guys are backups.
- 38:07SPEAKER_01: Rashad White actually has a roll with Tampa Bay, so he'd be a nice little flex rotation, most likely.
- 38:13SPEAKER_01: Uh Jerome Ford is gonna be splitting that backfield with uh the guy that I'm gonna pick, Dylan Sampson, who's supposed to be the starter this year.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: He's a rookie uh fourth round pick for the Browns.
- 38:24SPEAKER_01: So they grabbed uh Judkins second and they grabbed Dylan Sampson fourth.
- 38:29SPEAKER_01: So I'm taking him.
- 38:30SPEAKER_02: What's the deal with Judkins anyway?
- 38:32SPEAKER_02: Isn't he possibly gonna get suspended?
- 38:35SPEAKER_01: Well, he's um he's talking about possibly going back to college.
- 38:39SPEAKER_01: Uh oh, that's what it is.
- 38:41SPEAKER_01: Okay, it's that and a contract standoff, you know, and they're not paying him what he wants.
- 38:45SPEAKER_01: He wants more money, they want to pay him less with uh uh a waiver or something that he forfeits at all if he messes up, and he wants a guaranteed contract.
- 38:54SPEAKER_01: So fortunately, he's not gonna have that with coming out of college with a sexual assault, you know.
- 38:59SPEAKER_02: Yeah, no shit.
- 39:01SPEAKER_01: So my uh my pick here, obviously.
- 39:04SPEAKER_01: Um the the guy I liked is gone, right?
- 39:08SPEAKER_01: So I have Keenan.
- 39:09SPEAKER_01: Oh, you grabbed Keenan Allen, good pick.
- 39:14SPEAKER_02: Glad we talked about it.
- 39:16SPEAKER_01: Okay, so now the next, so I got enough running backs.
- 39:19SPEAKER_01: I'm gonna get another wide receiver.
- 39:20SPEAKER_01: So Christian Kirk's a guy I like.
- 39:23SPEAKER_01: Um maybe Xavier Legat moves up a little bit now with uh uh Adam Thielen over there back.
- 39:31SPEAKER_01: Uh but actually also Hollywood Brown's another one, right?
- 39:34SPEAKER_01: Like he's somebody that's gonna get some playing time early on.
- 39:37SPEAKER_01: Will he be healthy though?
- 39:38SPEAKER_01: That's different.
- 39:38SPEAKER_01: Wandell Robinson's gonna be a nice PPR target, right?
- 39:42SPEAKER_01: So there's a few guys that I really like here.
- 39:44SPEAKER_01: Um, but typically instead of going for the safe floor guys, I want the ones with the higher upside, right?
- 39:51SPEAKER_01: Because if I'm gonna be taking somebody this late, they're not gonna be starters.
- 39:55SPEAKER_01: It's hopes that they will take over a starting job.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: So, with that case, I saw some really good tape on um a lot of these rookies.
- 40:03SPEAKER_01: So Luther Burden for Chicago is nice, Trey Harris for LA Chargers is nice, and so is uh Pat Bryant uh for the Denver Broncos.
- 40:11SPEAKER_01: So, since I'm I'm gonna be taking a shot in the dark, anyways, here Pat Bryant, I'm gonna go ahead and take him.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: He's uh guy that's high up on my list.
- 40:21SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 40:23SPEAKER_01: I got my five wide receivers, six running backs.
- 40:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, so I'm back on the clock, and you know, I see Christian Kirk still hanging around, and I do like him specifically because of the situation over there.
- 40:39SPEAKER_02: Another guy that's you know, possibly gonna do something, um, is Josh Palmer.
- 40:45SPEAKER_02: But he's one of those guys, it's like I've had him on my team so many times just sitting on the bench hoping he could do something, and he never does anything that I'd feel weird drafting him now.
- 40:54SPEAKER_02: Um, but one guy I do like just because of the situation over in Miami that could have a role is Ollie Gordon.
- 41:03SPEAKER_02: So, you know, I I really hope Han uh is healthy and and does fine.
- 41:08SPEAKER_02: And Jalen Wright, he's another one that's banged up.
- 41:11SPEAKER_02: But let's say Jalen Wright is banged up at the same time that Han goes down.
- 41:16SPEAKER_02: Ollie Gordon's gonna be the guy.
- 41:17SPEAKER_02: I know it's a reach, but I'm gonna grab him.
- 41:20SPEAKER_02: And then my next two, I have to take a kicker or defense.
- 41:26SPEAKER_02: Who cares?
- 41:27SPEAKER_02: We'll see what defenses are left.
- 41:29SPEAKER_02: Um got the Chiefs, who I really like as always.
- 41:34SPEAKER_02: They they were incredible last year.
- 41:36SPEAKER_02: You got the Niners, Cardinals.
- 41:38SPEAKER_02: I actually like the Cardinals.
- 41:40SPEAKER_02: The the Cardinals schedule is is very tasty for the first six weeks of the season.
- 41:44SPEAKER_02: So they're not a bad defense to have.
- 41:46SPEAKER_02: But I'm just gonna go with the um with the reliable pick in the Kansas City Chiefs.
- 41:54SPEAKER_01: I'm actually a big fan of grabbing a kicker at the 14th pick.
- 41:57SPEAKER_01: Okay, in my opinion, like uh defenses can shift, and you can have a defense that's on a wire that's gonna be good.
- 42:04SPEAKER_01: And so if you get the kicker you want up front, you're you're gravy because you know this guy's gonna get all the, you know, he's gonna be the most efficient.
- 42:12SPEAKER_01: So for example, you have Cam Little from Jacksonville, who's has a lot of hype right now.
- 42:17SPEAKER_01: Tyler Bass from Buffalo, you want a kicker on a high volume offense that's gonna score a lot.
- 42:22SPEAKER_01: Evan McPherson, right?
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: He had a really good season two years ago.
- 42:26SPEAKER_01: That's why he's down here.
- 42:28SPEAKER_01: Uh, same thing, Daniel Carlson, Las Vegas.
- 42:30SPEAKER_01: His offense is uh inferior though, so I don't think he's as good of a pick.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: But if you look at the rest of the guys, Jake Moody, so there's a uh a big drop off here for talent, right?
- 42:43SPEAKER_01: So that's why I would just take one of the best available here.
- 42:47SPEAKER_01: So if I'm looking at that between these, I like either Fairbeam or McPherson.
- 42:54SPEAKER_01: So gotta have one bang on my team.
- 42:56SPEAKER_01: That's who I'm going with there.
- 42:58SPEAKER_02: I like him best out of this choice, too, because I feel like Cincy's just gonna be scoring so much.
- 43:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, he he is.
- 43:06SPEAKER_01: He's gonna have to keep him in a lot of games, man.
- 43:09SPEAKER_01: Uh him and uh Burrow, of course.
- 43:12SPEAKER_01: Uh, but as soon as this pick registers, perfect.
- 43:14SPEAKER_01: I'll get my player here.
- 43:16SPEAKER_01: And then uh for my defense, obviously, 49ers commanders, Cardinals, uh, three really good defenses.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: Uh, but 49ers is the most proven one.
- 43:26SPEAKER_01: Robert Silas coming back, and the 49ers actually made some pickups this offseason.
- 43:31SPEAKER_02: So they needed to, man.
- 43:34SPEAKER_02: Yeah, they fell off a little bit.
- 43:36SPEAKER_02: They had a lot of injuries last year.
- 43:38SPEAKER_02: Um, you know, that's a good uh point about whether you should take a defense or a kicker first.
- 43:46SPEAKER_02: It's not something we got to focus on, but like I usually take a defense first, but Manny's exactly right.
- 43:54SPEAKER_02: You can play a defense every week and just go with the flow.
- 43:57SPEAKER_02: I typically end up doing that just because.
- 44:00SPEAKER_02: Um really early in the season, I give up on whatever defense I drafted and just start playing week to week.
- 44:07SPEAKER_02: Um, and I'm just gonna grab Tyler Bass because Buffalo scores a lot of points too.
- 44:12SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 44:13SPEAKER_01: Good strategy.
- 44:14SPEAKER_01: So now uh pulling up the report, Birdman's team over here, guys.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: Nico Collins, Jordan Jacobs, Mike Evans, or Marion Hampton.
- 44:25SPEAKER_01: Like he he did exactly what you need to do in this position.
- 44:29SPEAKER_01: You got to build a nice balanced team.
- 44:32SPEAKER_01: And he went with two superstar wide receivers and two star running backs, right?
- 44:37SPEAKER_01: Like you, you know, that's that's gonna be your foundation.
- 44:40SPEAKER_01: Um, he didn't go bad on wide and quarterback either.
- 44:43SPEAKER_01: He got you know pretty solid quarterback overall.
- 44:46SPEAKER_01: I think Justin Herbert's like a tier three guy, so he's gonna get you a solid 20 a game.
- 44:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, he's a solid floor.
- 44:53SPEAKER_02: I feel like he's safe play.
- 44:54SPEAKER_01: And obviously, a couple starters over here, right?
- 44:57SPEAKER_01: Isaiah Pacheco and Nick Chubb, you know, like you know, those are guys that are gonna get uh some snaps early on, and then obviously the other guys are good handcuffs or uh flex plays.
- 45:08SPEAKER_01: Jordan making apparently Jordan Mason's gonna be used as a thunder to Aaron Jones' uh lightning.
- 45:15SPEAKER_01: So that's how they're gonna be operating there in Minnesota.
- 45:18SPEAKER_01: And like you said about Miami there, you know.
- 45:21SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, just in case something happens to Achan and Jalen Wright, you know, I'm I'm just not sure uh how Miami looks at them at this point.
- 45:29SPEAKER_02: So they might just give the ball to Ollie Gordon.
- 45:31SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah.
- 45:32SPEAKER_01: Now, however, on my my side, obviously, guys, I I had the advantage of having guys that were like way down in the rankings here, but that's just kind of an idea here.
- 45:41SPEAKER_01: Like you look at my team, I have two solid starters, you know, uh for running back, two veterans, and the rest are a bunch of rookies or young guys.
- 45:51SPEAKER_01: You know, you don't want to be too heavy into them because they can really be beneficial or they can really you know bite you in the ass.
- 45:58SPEAKER_01: So it's always good to just instead of going for potential, go for like production.
- 46:03SPEAKER_01: You know, that's that's that's always good.
- 46:05SPEAKER_01: But overall, I feel like I had a solid draft, you know, pretty decent team.
- 46:09SPEAKER_01: Is it my favorite one I've done so far?
- 46:11SPEAKER_01: No, it's not, but uh I think overall you gotta roll with the punches when it comes to this stuff and adapt because everybody drafts differently, and you know, you might have guys that just want to run the clock on the same position over and over again.
- 46:27SPEAKER_02: You're gonna have in every draft.
- 46:29SPEAKER_02: Like I wasn't like thrilled about my team either, but um, every draft, the players you plan on getting, you know, they're not gonna be hanging around.
- 46:38SPEAKER_02: You're gonna be lucky if if every player you want happens to fall to you.
- 46:41SPEAKER_02: You're gonna be really lucky.
- 46:42SPEAKER_02: The chances are you'll get about half of them.
- 46:45SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and that's the point, right?
- 46:47SPEAKER_01: You want to get them either the front half or the back half, either way, you're building your team a certain way.
- 46:52SPEAKER_01: And you know, my only advice is make sure you know where your rankings are at so you don't regret decisions you make later.
- 47:00SPEAKER_02: That's right.
- 47:01SPEAKER_02: Have them in front of you.
- 47:03SPEAKER_01: Well, ladies and gentlemen, we appreciate you stopping by again.
- 47:06SPEAKER_01: You know, this is the last you know, show before the draft.
- 47:09SPEAKER_01: Uh, we're actually gonna do uh a little bit of a live stream uh with our draft, our people in our draft just to have a little bit of fun this weekend.
- 47:18SPEAKER_01: So if you guys want to tune in, it's gonna be Saturday night, uh, 8 p.m.
- 47:21SPEAKER_01: Eastern Standard Time.
- 47:23SPEAKER_01: Joe will be there, I'll be there, and of course a few of the other guys in my league.
- 47:26SPEAKER_01: Uh, but hopefully you guys learned a little something.
- 47:29SPEAKER_01: Please reach out to us if you have any questions.
- 47:31SPEAKER_01: Uh Joe, do you have anything else for them?
- 47:33SPEAKER_02: No, but if you want to tune into a high stakes draft, you'll see it's a very serious league.
- 47:38SPEAKER_02: People, people are paying attention, they're doing their research.
- 47:41SPEAKER_02: So you'll see what uh what a draft looks like when everyone's really involved and invested.
- 47:47SPEAKER_01: Oh, yeah.
- 47:48SPEAKER_01: Awesome.
- 47:48SPEAKER_01: Well, you see you guys uh next week, same time, same place.
- 47:52SPEAKER_01: You know where to find us.
- 47:54SPEAKER_01: And uh don't forget to share it to your friends, your mama, your grandmama.
- 47:58SPEAKER_01: Let everybody see it.
- 48:00SPEAKER_01: All right, have a good day, Bollers.
- 48:02SPEAKER_01: See you next time.
