- 0:29Speaker 6: Break me down. I've come too far. I've come too far, yeah.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Yeah, I've come too far, yeah. So just throw in
- 0:36Speaker 4: the towel.
- 0:36Speaker 7: Hey, hey, hey.
- 0:37Speaker 4: It's a new day. I'm a, I'm a doobie. Yeah,
- 0:39Speaker 4: I'm gonna go all the way.
- 0:40Speaker 6: You may build me up.
- 0:42Speaker 8: Welcome, welcome, welcome!
- 0:47Speaker 9: You're listening to the Sports Shock Show. I am the
- 0:49Speaker 9: Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you out there
- 0:53Speaker 9: in listening land. Glad to be here with you on
- 0:56Speaker 9: this beautiful Monday. As always, the weekend of sport. Just
- 1:04Speaker 9: never know how your Monday is going to start. So
- 1:07Speaker 9: much going on at this time of the year. when
- 1:11Speaker 9: you have all the sports colliding. There's a couple of
- 1:14Speaker 9: junctions when all the sports are colliding, and we talk
- 1:19Speaker 9: about that the last couple of shows. NFL, college football,
- 1:23Speaker 9: high school football, Major League Baseball Championship Series are going on.
- 1:30Speaker 9: The WNBA Finals is set preseason, and not just preseason.
- 1:36Speaker 9: We're getting closer to the regular season.
- 1:40Speaker 6: Of the NBA.
- 1:41Speaker 9: All of that is going on right now, and another
- 1:46Speaker 9: great weekend of sports just happened for us. Tonight, Monday
- 1:51Speaker 9: Night Football, the 3-1 Buffalo Bills taking on and traveling
- 1:58Speaker 9: out to L.A. Take on the Rams, who are 2-2,
- 2:03Speaker 9: two teams. This is a Super Bowl game. Wouldn't be surprised.
- 2:10Speaker 9: I'm quite sure it was a lot of odds in
- 2:13Speaker 9: Vegas set that this would be the Super Bowl this
- 2:17Speaker 9: coming year from the AFC and from the NFC. So
- 2:24Speaker 9: when you look at this matchup, the Rams can't really
- 2:28Speaker 9: figure out. One game they look like the team that
- 2:31Speaker 9: everybody thinks, and the next they lose. The Bills still
- 2:35Speaker 9: trying to not depend on Josh Allen. every play.
- 2:40Speaker 6: You know, you're trying.
- 2:41Speaker 9: I mean, you can't, Josh can never walk up to
- 2:43Speaker 9: the owner's office and say they are not like, hey man,
- 2:47Speaker 9: I'm trying to get you a couple of plays.
- 2:50Speaker 6: I'm trying to. But I'm trying though.
- 2:55Speaker 9: Like I'm bringing guys in, I'm rotating, I'm trying to
- 2:59Speaker 9: get you some help. But until then, break out your
- 3:03Speaker 9: cape and do that thing you do as much as
- 3:07Speaker 9: you can. I got a chance last night to go
- 3:09Speaker 9: down to the Falcons versus the Ravens game. You have
- 3:14Speaker 9: to get you anything like the Hawks or the Falcons
- 3:17Speaker 9: just for they are truly have entrenched themselves into the
- 3:26Speaker 9: Vegas experience.
- 3:27Speaker 6: The show.
- 3:29Speaker 9: You can at any moment forget that there is a
- 3:33Speaker 9: actual sporting event going on. They start you off with
- 3:38Speaker 9: the hawk walking or the falcon walking across a tight
- 3:41Speaker 9: rope At the top of the stadium, that's how you
- 3:44Speaker 9: start off.
- 3:45Speaker 6: Wait now, wait now.
- 3:47Speaker 10: The top of the stadium where the little eye opens up,
- 3:50Speaker 10: the lens eye.
- 3:51Speaker 9: They had the stadium open last night. For the first
- 3:53Speaker 9: time in what I understand was about a year.
- 3:55Speaker 6: At least the first time this year.
- 3:56Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, because it was, I think, game 11 last
- 3:59Speaker 10: season that it was open. But that's thousands, maybe thousands,
- 4:03Speaker 10: that's hundreds and hundreds of feet in the air.
- 4:05Speaker 6: Yes. And the Falcon is doing. Like the mascot. The mascot.
- 4:10Speaker 10: In the mascot outfit.
- 4:13Speaker 6: I wonder how you get that job. They got that
- 4:14Speaker 6: on Indeed. They normally do. Can you get a Falcon
- 4:19Speaker 6: mascot job on Indeed?
- 4:20Speaker 9: I guess so, but I'm telling you, that's how they
- 4:23Speaker 9: start you off and they hit you with a splash
- 4:25Speaker 9: of hip hop, which you know, the one thing I
- 4:30Speaker 9: love about them, they're true to the city where they're
- 4:34Speaker 9: only going to play Atlanta artists. So Whoever that might be.
- 4:40Speaker 9: You're talking about a biased musical tribute. That's all you're
- 4:44Speaker 9: going to get.
- 4:44Speaker 6: Because they probably think, oh, that's enough.
- 4:47Speaker 9: That's all. They are truly placating to their fans. But
- 4:52Speaker 9: it's all over different, you know. They're going to find
- 4:55Speaker 9: whoever from Bow Wow to Ludacris to whoever might be
- 5:00Speaker 9: in Lou Williams, you know, and Lemon Pepper Lou. Every
- 5:04Speaker 9: time I see him, I just want to get me
- 5:06Speaker 9: a 12-piece.
- 5:08Speaker 6: The blue cheese. I ain't judging.
- 5:10Speaker 10: Who don't want to get a 12-piece with blue cheese?
- 5:13Speaker 6: Am I right? What a great player.
- 5:16Speaker 9: I hope at some point, as I always say on
- 5:18Speaker 9: this show, Jamal Crawford, Lou Williams, definitely, to me, need
- 5:22Speaker 9: to crack open.
- 5:23Speaker 6: And not dismissing. I think.
- 5:29Speaker 11: Cook.
- 5:30Speaker 6: From the Lakers. Michael Cooper. Michael Cooper is in the
- 5:33Speaker 6: Hall of Fame, right?
- 5:34Speaker 9: And I was hoping when he came, then you start
- 5:36Speaker 9: getting Vinny, the Microwave, and different people that you.
- 5:39Speaker 6: And being in should open the door for those guys.
- 5:42Speaker 9: Yes, for Jamal Crawford, Lou Williams, meaning that you have
- 5:46Speaker 9: to understand for me the responsibility of what it is
- 5:52Speaker 9: that you are. This is what you put me in.
- 5:55Speaker 12: Yes.
- 5:55Speaker 9: So then that's what you have to judge me as.
- 5:58Speaker 9: You can't judge me based on the start. You said
- 6:01Speaker 9: I'm the sixth man. And in that, I become the
- 6:06Speaker 9: number one sixth man. And you're telling me I won
- 6:12Speaker 9: the sixth man award multiple times.
- 6:16Speaker 8: Then you have to put me in as. The best
- 6:20Speaker 8: six man in the world. That's a hall of fame
- 6:22Speaker 8: because that's the role you gave me.
- 6:24Speaker 6: That's a specialized skill. That is. Specialized skill, six man.
- 6:28Speaker 9: So I don't know why more and hopefully, you know,
- 6:32Speaker 9: and I thought Michael Cooper because that's what he was
- 6:35Speaker 9: known for. His impact was just as important as anyone
- 6:40Speaker 9: else that was on the court because that was the
- 6:42Speaker 9: role that you put me in there.
- 6:44Speaker 13: So.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Whenever I see Lou, I just want to get him,
- 6:47Speaker 6: you know, blue cheesed.
- 6:50Speaker 9: Hey, and he's appreciated somewhere. You can believe that. Big
- 6:57Speaker 9: controversy going on. Not really controversy. I don't know why
- 7:00Speaker 9: these things hit the news. It's Heiko. Comanche Greg sent
- 7:03Speaker 9: me about the Atlanta Dream. Big Kenny sent me about
- 7:06Speaker 9: the— It's the Golden State Valkyries, right?
- 7:10Speaker 6: Yes, that's correct.
- 7:11Speaker 9: So when these two teams will play on Saturday in
- 7:16Speaker 9: the WNBA finals that they both made, which they're giving
- 7:21Speaker 9: them a week off, which I thought was a pretty
- 7:25Speaker 9: long amount of time for basketball because I didn't know
- 7:30Speaker 9: the WNBA. The NBA kind of sets a date because
- 7:34Speaker 9: they want to start selling the commercials. They didn't growing
- 7:37Speaker 9: up that's not how they really did it it was
- 7:38Speaker 9: like okay once both of you win then about three
- 7:43Speaker 9: days later we'll start the finals then they went to
- 7:46Speaker 9: we're going to set a date so we can tell
- 7:48Speaker 9: our advertisers yeah remember that's what it's for it's not
- 7:51Speaker 9: for you no i can start selling you those dates
- 7:56Speaker 9: like the nfl does with the super bowl i can
- 7:59Speaker 9: set it there so If it's 10 days, if it's
- 8:03Speaker 9: five days, it's going to start, based on how fast
- 8:06Speaker 9: you win your series, the WNBA, both teams. The dream,
- 8:14Speaker 9: the issue with the dream is that the dream has
- 8:18Speaker 9: come alive again, and there are two or three, four teams.
- 8:22Speaker 9: The Valkyries is one of them, too, where the city
- 8:25Speaker 9: is just very supportive. The Dream used to play at
- 8:29Speaker 9: State Farm Arena where the Hawks play. A couple of
- 8:32Speaker 9: years ago, attendance was down.
- 8:35Speaker 6: Very down.
- 8:35Speaker 9: And you don't want to be, as an athlete, you
- 8:38Speaker 9: don't want to be an arena that holds 20,000 people
- 8:44Speaker 9: and only 5,000 are there.
- 8:46Speaker 6: No. You really don't.
- 8:50Speaker 9: The Buffalo Bills, their stadium, I think when they opened
- 8:54Speaker 9: it this year, seats like 60,000 people. Something like that.
- 8:58Speaker 9: And you're like, oh, that's small. No, they're actually making
- 9:01Speaker 9: it so that when you come, it's going to be
- 9:03Speaker 9: sold out. It's going to always look like it's full,
- 9:07Speaker 9: which it is. And it's the same thing with the Dream.
- 9:09Speaker 9: They built a different facility that was conducive to their
- 9:14Speaker 9: attendance at that time. Now, over the last year or two,
- 9:18Speaker 9: they have rebounded. Attendance is up. But with the WNBA Finals,
- 9:24Speaker 9: both of these teams, the Valkyrie and the Dream, find that,
- 9:28Speaker 9: especially with the Dream, because they're asking to try to
- 9:32Speaker 9: play in State Farm and not their home arena. Well,
- 9:37Speaker 9: State Farm, just like with the Valkyries out in Golden State,
- 9:40Speaker 9: those arenas are in business. They have book concerts and
- 9:46Speaker 9: comedy shows. They're entertainment venues. They're not just sporting venues.
- 9:50Speaker 10: Arenas.
- 9:51Speaker 9: So they're trying to move. I know Big Kenny sent
- 9:54Speaker 9: me the one where the Valkyries, Doja Cat, which maybe
- 9:57Speaker 9: they had written that in.
- 9:59Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Already. I'm quite sure. It's Doja Cat. Now, if it
- 10:03Speaker 6: was Yeezy, I wonder. They probably had.
- 10:06Speaker 9: Written it in to give her a certain discount or
- 10:10Speaker 9: something if she has to move a flex. A kind
- 10:14Speaker 9: of schedule to it based on that. The State Farm Arena,
- 10:19Speaker 9: when you look at it with the Dream, they are set.
- 10:21Speaker 9: They got different concerts. The Hawks start their actual season.
- 10:26Speaker 9: So they're kind of floating because I guess their only
- 10:30Speaker 9: option if they went in the State Farm, which would
- 10:32Speaker 9: have to be hard, is to do something at like
- 10:37Speaker 9: the 1 o'clock hour.
- 10:39Speaker 6: I was going to say in the 1 o'clock in
- 10:41Speaker 6: the afternoon. In that window.
- 10:42Speaker 8: I was trying to find out if. if it was
- 10:46Speaker 8: confirmed that they wouldn't be able to play there. And
- 10:49Speaker 8: I saw 330, but like, well, that's the same day
- 10:53Speaker 8: that it was the day that the Hawks would also
- 10:55Speaker 8: be playing. Like that's unless there's a shared like court situation,
- 11:00Speaker 8: which doesn't seem plausible. I don't think that was, it just, I,
- 11:05Speaker 8: it wasn't going to work. The time that they had
- 11:06Speaker 8: wasn't going to work. And even if it was 130, that,
- 11:10Speaker 8: that would, that wasn't going to work either. If you
- 11:13Speaker 8: got to change the court same day.
- 11:14Speaker 9: And the Dream next year has decided that they will
- 11:18Speaker 9: once again rent State Farm for their game. That's how
- 11:23Speaker 9: they actually, they will rent it again this year. I
- 11:27Speaker 9: would imagine you might just have to take the.
- 11:30Speaker 6: L and go.
- 11:31Speaker 9: They do have an arena. So I don't know how
- 11:34Speaker 9: the story fully writes out. It's not like they don't
- 11:36Speaker 9: have somewhere to play. They're just trying to play in
- 11:40Speaker 9: a bigger arena. then their home arena over.
- 11:45Speaker 6: Four times more seats. Yeah, so I think that's where
- 11:48Speaker 6: they're trying to do.
- 11:49Speaker 10: And I think it's interesting that when you're talking about
- 11:53Speaker 10: logistics for something like a reemerging WNBA team, you wouldn't
- 12:00Speaker 10: have had a plan for maybe extra seats in the
- 12:03Speaker 10: venue you already rent regularly. Like there's no ability to
- 12:07Speaker 10: expand it. We can't roll in an extra set of bleachers.
- 12:11Speaker 6: No, that's not how they built that arena. Yeah, see.
- 12:15Speaker 6: They built it for a certain group. It seemed like
- 12:18Speaker 6: they didn't see the vision coming this soon. We'll be
- 12:21Speaker 6: back with more of the Sports Talk Show right after this.
- 12:35Speaker 6: Don't go away.
- 12:36Speaker 5: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is coming.
- 12:43Speaker 6: Up next. We have theirs. The Sports Chalk Man of Honor, Mr.

- 13:02Speaker 7: to the vets by giving away a free mattress to

- 13:42Speaker 14: Talking about guns with others might not always feel comfortable,
- 13:45Speaker 14: but it could save a life. Here's a way to
- 13:47Speaker 14: start a conversation. Your family is going over to your
- 13:50Speaker 14: neighbor's home for dinner for the first time. How would
- 13:53Speaker 14: you ask if there are any unlocked guns in the home?
- 13:55Speaker 6: Hey. Hey, we're so excited for tonight.
- 13:58Speaker 12: Before we come over, though, may I ask if there
- 14:00Speaker 12: are any unlocked guns in your home?
- 14:02Speaker 15: Our guns are stored securely, locked in a safe that
- 14:05Speaker 15: the kids can't access.
- 14:07Speaker 6: Awesome.
- 14:08Speaker 14: Learn how to have the conversation at agree2agree. org. Brought to
- 14:11Speaker 14: you by the Ad Council.
- 14:13Speaker 13: There's danger out there. It lurks on highways and quiet
- 14:16Speaker 13: neighborhood streets. It's more likely to kill you than a
- 14:18Speaker 13: shark and more terrifying than the biggest snake. Distracted driving
- 14:23Speaker 13: claims lives every day. Every notification, swipe, social post, video,
- 14:27Speaker 13: or selfie while driving risks your life. So while you
- 14:31Speaker 13: might think public speaking or the zombie apocalypse is scary,
- 14:34Speaker 13: what's really terrifying and even.
- 14:36Speaker 6: Deadly is distracted driving. Eyes forward.
- 14:39Speaker 13: Don't drive distracted. Brought to you by NHTSA and the
- 14:42Speaker 13: Ad Council.
- 14:45Speaker 6: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Ganty.
- 14:50Speaker 7: The Jock of the Day is sponsored by MattressHeroesUSA.com. The
- 14:54Speaker 7: sleep you deserve at a price you can afford.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Now, it's time to present the Jock of the Day
- 15:00Speaker 3: on the Sports Jock Show.
- 15:02Speaker 6: He's taken it to a completely different level this year.
- 15:04Speaker 6: Where we highlight an athlete that has taken their game
- 15:08Speaker 6: to the next level.
- 15:09Speaker 11: I like.
- 15:16Speaker 4: It like that.
- 15:18Speaker 6: I said I like it like that. Now, I like dollars,
- 15:23Speaker 6: I like diamonds.
- 15:24Speaker 13: I like stunning, I like shining.
- 15:26Speaker 4: I like million-dollar deals.
- 15:28Speaker 16: Where's my pen?
- 15:28Speaker 4: I'm signing.
- 15:29Speaker 17: I like those balloons.
- 15:30Speaker 6: Welcome back to the Sports Shop Show. I'm the Sports
- 15:32Speaker 6: Shop Wayne Candy.
- 15:33Speaker 9: Before we jump into the action of the NFL and
- 15:37Speaker 9: college football from the last couple of days, the great
- 15:41Speaker 9: Asia Wilson did take home her fifth MVP of the year,
- 15:48Speaker 9: the NBA. Las Vegas Aces did get knocked out, swept, actually,
- 15:53Speaker 9: by the Valkyries this past week. But Asia Wilson, once again,
- 16:00Speaker 9: winning the MVP. Now, for my dollar, I thought it
- 16:03Speaker 9: was Kelsey Mitchell of the Indiana Fever.
- 16:10Speaker 6: Asia, I get it. We just get into that cycle.
- 16:14Speaker 6: Almost check a box.
- 16:16Speaker 9: Did the same thing as she did last year, but
- 16:18Speaker 9: I just didn't see the dominance. With Kelsey Mitchell, she
- 16:23Speaker 9: went on a run where almost every game this season,
- 16:27Speaker 9: she broke Asia Wilson's record, actually, for the most consecutive
- 16:33Speaker 9: games with 20 points. She got into the record books
- 16:37Speaker 9: of how many 30-point games she So it was a
- 16:42Speaker 9: lot of things where she actually was checking the box
- 16:47Speaker 9: off where I would have thought she did come in
- 16:50Speaker 9: third in the voting. It was Asia Wilson, Olivia Miles,
- 16:54Speaker 9: the young rookie, Kelsey Mitchell, and then Kaitlyn Clark, who
- 16:59Speaker 9: still gets, I don't know, fourth and third in scoring,
- 17:06Speaker 9: first in assists, you know. I don't know what else
- 17:11Speaker 9: y'all thought she was going to do, but that's about
- 17:15Speaker 9: all she's supposed to do, right?
- 17:17Speaker 18: Right.
- 17:18Speaker 6: I'm going to be third in the league in.
- 17:20Speaker 9: Scoring, and I'm going to lead it in assists, so.
- 17:25Speaker 6: I don't know what else you wanted, Comanche.
- 17:28Speaker 8: I think the only thing I think of is maybe
- 17:31Speaker 8: a few more wins. I think the Fever were the
- 17:35Speaker 8: sixth seed. That might have– factored more in in voting
- 17:40Speaker 8: for either or kelsey mitchell yeah so.
- 17:44Speaker 10: Um and and what what i thought was interesting about
- 17:47Speaker 10: this story is that uh asia's been in the wmba
- 17:50Speaker 10: since 2018 which is what's about seven eight years now
- 17:54Speaker 10: this is year nine year nine and she's won the
- 17:57Speaker 10: mvp five times and this is her third consecutive yes
- 18:04Speaker 10: where is she in the advertising spectrum Zeitgeist?
- 18:10Speaker 6: Why don't we see more Asia?
- 18:12Speaker 9: Well, I don't know how much the WNBA appeal as individuals.
- 18:18Speaker 9: Like you still have a certain, everybody can't, don't sell.
- 18:23Speaker 9: I think that.
- 18:25Speaker 10: Sometimes we get lost on. Stop real quick, Sports Jack.
- 18:29Speaker 10: That's the direction I want to go to. When we
- 18:32Speaker 10: talk about, we've talked about, for example, Lamar Jackson and
- 18:37Speaker 10: why he don't sell. There's always a visible, there's always
- 18:42Speaker 10: a direct correlation that we put our finger on as
- 18:45Speaker 10: to why he isn't chosen for. We've talked about Cam
- 18:50Speaker 10: Newtons and certain other players who just don't, the Aaron Rodgers,
- 18:57Speaker 10: people like that who just don't fit those molds.
- 19:00Speaker 6: What is it about Asia.
- 19:01Speaker 10: That we can't sell five-time MVP in nine years?
- 19:06Speaker 6: What are you trying to sell? You tell me. You
- 19:09Speaker 6: tell me. I've seen her commercials for her shoes. Tom
- 19:13Speaker 6: Brady selling pizza.
- 19:14Speaker 10: I know he ain't never had sliced pizza at pizza,
- 19:16Speaker 10: but they went and found him.
- 19:18Speaker 6: Who are you trying to appeal to? What's your audience?
- 19:24Speaker 8: Because all of these outsiders came in with Caitlin Clark,
- 19:30Speaker 8: people who don't watch women's basketball. They hardly watch sports
- 19:35Speaker 8: at all, but they're able to connect to her and
- 19:40Speaker 8: she's in a State Farm commercial or T-Mobile or.
- 19:43Speaker 6: Something like that. Well, here it is.
- 19:46Speaker 9: Caitlin Clark is the Steph Curry crowd. That's why Steph
- 19:52Speaker 9: Curry was trying to sign. It's the more everyday I
- 19:56Speaker 9: can be. Well, not even the wholesome. She looks like
- 20:01Speaker 9: something I could manifest.
- 20:05Speaker 11: Okay.
- 20:06Speaker 6: She's not the tallest.
- 20:07Speaker 9: She's not big and bulky. She has the Taylor Swift effect.
- 20:16Speaker 9: And people forget to do the numbers. The Taylor Swift
- 20:21Speaker 9: crowd is larger than the Beyonce crowd from a standpoint
- 20:30Speaker 9: that the Beyonce, I ain't that beautiful.
- 20:34Speaker 12: Right.
- 20:34Speaker 6: If you can't.
- 20:34Speaker 9: I can be Taylor Swift.
- 20:40Speaker 6: And that's no, I'm not calling Taylor ugly.
- 20:44Speaker 9: I'm saying she is more what a girl make feel
- 20:48Speaker 9: that she can reach. It's the difference between Steph Curry
- 20:51Speaker 9: and LeBron.
- 20:53Speaker 12: Right.
- 20:53Speaker 9: I'm not, I'm not going to ever get my arms.
- 20:57Speaker 9: I've been in here for like two and a half years.
- 20:59Speaker 6: And I'm still trying to. Doing this. But I get
- 21:02Speaker 6: this stuff.
- 21:03Speaker 10: But I got that stuff with the shirt off, right?
- 21:05Speaker 6: I got that. I got that. I got that. I
- 21:07Speaker 6: get it.
- 21:08Speaker 10: With Beyonce, if you don't jump to put jeans on,
- 21:11Speaker 10: you don't feel my pain. But ain't nobody in the
- 21:14Speaker 10: Taylor Swift crowd worried about jumping to put jeans on.
- 21:17Speaker 8: They're just worried about jeans that fit. I can't dunk,
- 21:20Speaker 8: but I can shoot it from 30 feet away. Of
- 21:22Speaker 8: course I could throw it up from that far. Of
- 21:24Speaker 8: course I could. And I might not hit it.
- 21:26Speaker 9: And then Asia has a competitor in someone like Angel Reese.
- 21:31Speaker 6: Cause Angel Reese has a set crowd. So to me, Asia,
- 21:38Speaker 6: and she's been in different things. I've saw in the
- 21:40Speaker 6: state farm commercial one time, but it's still, we're in
- 21:45Speaker 6: business and we got to figure out who can sell
- 21:48Speaker 6: what and how they can sell it.
- 21:51Speaker 9: It's the Tom Brady. I haven't seen the Tom Brady
- 21:54Speaker 9: pizza commercial since last year. Have you seen it this season?
- 22:00Speaker 6: No.
- 22:00Speaker 12: No.
- 22:00Speaker 6: Because people wouldn't believe it. They wouldn't believe it.
- 22:02Speaker 4: Right.
- 22:03Speaker 9: But now Peyton Manning selling Center's uniform.
- 22:11Speaker 6: Yeah. Telling that his name is Gary.
- 22:17Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 22:17Speaker 10: That's complete sense. Because it seems like something. It seems
- 22:20Speaker 10: like something. It seems like something. If football didn't work,
- 22:25Speaker 10: this is what he would be doing.
- 22:27Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 9: These commercials that him and his brother are doing, they
- 22:31Speaker 9: seem like they actually eat bush beans and.
- 22:36Speaker 6: And could fall into that demographic. Fall in there.
- 22:39Speaker 9: So I don't think there's any knock against Asia. It's
- 22:42Speaker 9: just become... We can't categorize her.
- 22:45Speaker 10: We can't put her in a box and then sell
- 22:48Speaker 10: that box to people looking for whatever's in this box.
- 22:51Speaker 6: Correct.
- 22:52Speaker 9: Everybody has a niche. And sometimes, like you're saying, there's
- 22:55Speaker 9: a Lamar Jackson... versus a Patrick Mahomes equally as MVP
- 23:03Speaker 9: and as famous and all that but Lamar carries himself
- 23:08Speaker 9: his demeanor could be the nicest guy but not nicer
- 23:12Speaker 9: than Patrick but it's just how people perceive you and.
- 23:16Speaker 10: That's kind of what I was what is the perception
- 23:19Speaker 10: of Asia Wilson was sort of what I wondered about
- 23:22Speaker 10: because she's got the accolades she's got the resume but
- 23:28Speaker 10: Don't see any of that off the court adulation.
- 23:32Speaker 6: We'll be back with more of the Sports Jock Show
- 23:34Speaker 6: right after this.
- 23:40Speaker 19: Don't go.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Away. More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby
- 23:51Speaker 5: is coming up next.
- 23:53Speaker 20: As veterans, we're no strangers to helping others.
- 23:57Speaker 21: That's what we were taught, service before self.
- 23:59Speaker 20: But we do have one question for the veterans listening.
- 24:03Speaker 6: When was the last time you reached out for help?

- 25:36Speaker 14: Distracted driving was the cause of more than 3,000 deaths

- 26:18Speaker 6: You can cha-cha-cha to this Mardi Gras.
- 26:20Speaker 23: I'm the dopest female that you've heard thus far.
- 26:22Speaker 6: And I do get better. The voice gets wetter. Nobody
- 26:26Speaker 6: gets hurt. As long as you let her. Do my
- 26:29Speaker 6: thing with an 89 swing. Welcome back to the Sports
- 26:31Speaker 6: Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock, Wayne Canty.
- 26:34Speaker 9: Tonight's Monday night action, the Bills and the Rams.
- 26:39Speaker 6: Maybe a preview.
- 26:41Speaker 9: Based on how things shape out of the Super Bowl
- 26:45Speaker 9: in February. We will see how it goes down in L.A. tonight.
- 26:50Speaker 9: Thursday night football, the Bucs showing some heart and some
- 26:54Speaker 9: pride 24-16 over the Cowboys on that Thursday night game.
- 27:00Speaker 9: The Bucs deciding they were not going to go 0-5
- 27:04Speaker 9: on that night.
- 27:07Speaker 6: Typically, that's how it really works. Like, okay.
- 27:10Speaker 9: We're not going to win but four or five games,
- 27:12Speaker 9: but we're not going to be historically where they start
- 27:15Speaker 9: talking about, oh, man.
- 27:17Speaker 6: We've never seen this before, that kind of stuff. That
- 27:20Speaker 6: kind of thing.
- 27:20Speaker 10: And it was just unfortunate that the Cowboys happened to
- 27:23Speaker 10: be on the schedule for that night.
- 27:24Speaker 9: Yeah, the Cowboys playing at home, coming off of their
- 27:27Speaker 9: big win, and then now everybody that's a Cowboy fan
- 27:32Speaker 9: once again questioning your defense is a little not there.
- 27:39Speaker 9: And to me, your offense is just not balanced enough.
- 27:43Speaker 6: Not a little. Not a little with the defense. Not
- 27:46Speaker 6: a little. Not there. It's just not. Well, I was.
- 27:52Speaker 9: Trying to be because you were at the table, so
- 27:54Speaker 9: I was trying to be a little kind.
- 27:57Speaker 6: I am honest.
- 27:58Speaker 10: He ready to have a hard conversation. He ready to
- 28:00Speaker 10: have a hard conversation. He in the acceptance stage of
- 28:04Speaker 10: his grief. I am honest about my team. He in
- 28:06Speaker 10: the acceptance stage of his grief.
- 28:07Speaker 6: He want to just go ahead and have a hard conversation.
- 28:10Speaker 6: With the Joey Porter trade, what did I say? It
- 28:13Speaker 6: wouldn't change anything. It wouldn't change the defense.
- 28:17Speaker 9: And in this game, it was all about the running ability,
- 28:21Speaker 9: Bucky Irving, and the run game of Tampa Bay, which
- 28:25Speaker 9: that's what you do. You had Jalen Daniels, not Jaden,
- 28:28Speaker 9: Jalen Daniels, the rookie in there with Bacon Mayfield being out.
- 28:33Speaker 9: They ran the ball, I think, like 230, 40 yards
- 28:38Speaker 9: rushing as a team, some crazy number like that. On
- 28:41Speaker 9: the Cowboys, but that's the kind of game you have
- 28:43Speaker 9: to have with a rookie quarterback. Got to run the ball,
- 28:46Speaker 9: but the Bucs over the Cowboys. The Eagles and the Jags,
- 28:51Speaker 9: they went over across the pond. And all those games
- 28:56Speaker 9: are always interesting. It's a coin flip. I don't know
- 28:59Speaker 9: if I was a gambler. I would even bet because
- 29:01Speaker 9: who knows what's going to happen. The Jags winning 1917.
- 29:06Speaker 9: The first kickoff, like somebody got threw out. The game,
- 29:09Speaker 9: football is so sensitive now. Like, what happens if there's
- 29:13Speaker 9: two fouls, two offsetting personal fouls, and let's keep playing?
- 29:17Speaker 6: Now they're throwing guys. You swing or talk a little smack,
- 29:21Speaker 6: and they throw you out the game. Just like we
- 29:23Speaker 6: talked about last episode, this is supposed to be a
- 29:27Speaker 6: gentlemanly game where we are polite. We don't curse at
- 29:32Speaker 6: each other. That's between players and players and referees.
- 29:35Speaker 9: It's supposed to be nice. Never seen two players kick
- 29:38Speaker 9: each other in the face. out as the ball was
- 29:41Speaker 9: kicked off. So they were going right then. You can't
- 29:45Speaker 9: have that in front of company.
- 29:47Speaker 10: You can't be going at each other in front of company. No,
- 29:51Speaker 10: this company always come up. It's four games in London.
- 29:55Speaker 10: They call them Uncle London.
- 29:58Speaker 6: Depending on their laws, they could have been arrested, maybe.
- 30:01Speaker 10: Now, with the Jags and the Eagles, did anybody besides
- 30:06Speaker 10: myself think that the NFL could do more to promote
- 30:08Speaker 10: these early? They could do more to remind us that
- 30:12Speaker 10: remember today.
- 30:13Speaker 6: Hey, guys.
- 30:15Speaker 10: Tomorrow, don't forget. Let's get up early. They've been doing
- 30:18Speaker 10: it for so long.
- 30:19Speaker 6: 9.30 a.m. I think they have a– I think they
- 30:22Speaker 6: are– They what now? They've been doing it for so long.
- 30:25Speaker 6: They kind of figure we're keyed in by now?
- 30:28Speaker 9: I think they're feeling themselves that you are keeping up
- 30:32Speaker 9: with it to that point.
- 30:34Speaker 8: Now, now, I'm going to be transparent. If you're playing
- 30:37Speaker 8: fantasy football, if you're on DraftKings or something.
- 30:40Speaker 10: As I'm scrolling through the guide on the TV, I
- 30:45Speaker 10: see the game, and I'm thinking, is that a replay?
- 30:49Speaker 10: And it was probably near noon before I went, hold on,
- 30:54Speaker 10: that's a live game, and switch to it because I'm
- 30:59Speaker 10: used to stuff kicking off at once.
- 31:01Speaker 9: They're having so much success, and I don't know the numbers,
- 31:04Speaker 9: but I'm similar to you, Big Kenny. First of all,
- 31:08Speaker 9: I'm already going to spend most of a Sunday watching sports.
- 31:13Speaker 9: Now you're trying to make it almost a 16-hour day
- 31:18Speaker 9: by starting this game at 9.30. So if the first
- 31:23Speaker 9: kickoff to the day is at 9.30 and the last
- 31:28Speaker 9: whistle for the Falcons, Ravens game last night is 11.30 p.m.
- 31:37Speaker 4: Yes.
- 31:40Speaker 10: That's 14 hours. That's been a full 14 hours. I
- 31:43Speaker 10: only sleep for eight. I got eight of those hours
- 31:45Speaker 10: left to sleep.
- 31:46Speaker 9: I don't door dash, so when do I get to eat?
- 31:50Speaker 9: When would I get to do anything? You're really pushing
- 31:54Speaker 9: your envelope of attention span.
- 31:56Speaker 8: You got 30 minutes after the 4 o'clock game before–
- 32:01Speaker 8: The 8 o'clock game. So you got about 30 minutes there.
- 32:04Speaker 10: And that's catching up on the games you haven't personally watched.
- 32:08Speaker 6: Right.
- 32:08Speaker 10: So of the three or four I've watched.
- 32:12Speaker 6: Yeah, you're asking a lot.
- 32:14Speaker 10: And then last night, last night, after the late game
- 32:19Speaker 10: goes off, you, or right as the late game getting
- 32:23Speaker 10: ready to come on. Which went to overtime. Yeah, you
- 32:26Speaker 10: got the nerve to throw me a little championship baseball in. Hey,
- 32:30Speaker 10: let's catch this game after the football game now. So
- 32:33Speaker 10: you can get two sports in one night, and they
- 32:36Speaker 10: all going deep into the evening.
- 32:38Speaker 9: So you're asking easily to ask me to dedicate 14
- 32:43Speaker 9: to 15 hours of a day if I wanted to
- 32:46Speaker 9: catch all. You're asking a lot, and I love football,
- 32:50Speaker 9: but here does become an expiration of your attention.
- 32:55Speaker 6: Come on, man. It does.
- 32:59Speaker 9: You can give me too much at once, and that's
- 33:03Speaker 9: a long day. I've consumed nothing but football. But you
- 33:06Speaker 9: see how the league is countering this, though, right? Like, okay,
- 33:11Speaker 9: that's too much for Sunday. So we already have one
- 33:15Speaker 9: Monday night game. Sometimes we have two. We may move
- 33:20Speaker 9: a game to Tuesday.
- 33:22Speaker 6: See, now there are less games on Sunday, but now
- 33:26Speaker 6: you have Tuesday night football. And then Wednesday night. I'm
- 33:29Speaker 6: going to miss it. And Thursday night.
- 33:31Speaker 9: And I'm missing, as a former player, I'm missing games
- 33:36Speaker 9: because you're having too much. So if the game, like
- 33:40Speaker 9: the game tonight, there's two marquee teams that win. So
- 33:45Speaker 9: maybe I'll catch it. But now it starts becoming who's playing.
- 33:49Speaker 12: So.
- 33:54Speaker 9: I'm not going to watch that much. If it wasn't
- 33:57Speaker 9: two powerhouse teams tonight or I played for the Rams,
- 34:02Speaker 9: so I had to have a personal connection, like Kenny
- 34:04Speaker 9: is saying. I didn't watch the Jags and the Eagles
- 34:09Speaker 9: because I have no connection to them because I needed
- 34:14Speaker 9: to get some things done before 1 o'clock. So, you know,
- 34:19Speaker 9: so to me, it's a little pushing the envelope.
- 34:25Speaker 6: And, again, with it being Jags, Eagles, maybe I know
- 34:31Speaker 6: that they've been playing good football. Yeah, Jalen Hurts and
- 34:34Speaker 6: Trevor Lawrence. But it ain't the kind of thing that
- 34:36Speaker 6: will make me go, oh, that's right. Wake up earlier.
- 34:40Speaker 10: Right.
- 34:41Speaker 6: Oh, that's right. Imagine people who live on the West Coast.
- 34:44Speaker 6: Brother Johnson, you at 7 o'clock service. I rarely see that.
- 34:49Speaker 9: The Cincinnati Bengals 31 over the Miami Dolphins 24.
- 34:54Speaker 6: That will make the Dolphins 0-5.
- 34:57Speaker 11: Yes.
- 34:58Speaker 6: They haven't won a game. And I'm not sure when
- 35:01Speaker 6: they're going to.
- 35:02Speaker 9: Malik Willis, it was their big acquisition on the offseason.
- 35:07Speaker 9: He's 0-5. The Bengals moving to 3-2. But 0-5 basically
- 35:15Speaker 9: means start getting ready for the draft.
- 35:17Speaker 12: Hmm.
- 35:19Speaker 9: It starts looking at job security and 0-5. During the break,
- 35:25Speaker 9: could you Google that real quick? See if any team
- 35:27Speaker 9: has ever made the playoffs. I'm pretty sure it's never happened,
- 35:31Speaker 9: but we can confirm. I'm saying strange things happen. Strange
- 35:35Speaker 9: things happen. So that's how that game went. And speaking
- 35:42Speaker 9: of the battle of no wins, that went down between
- 35:46Speaker 9: the team that used to be the team playing the
- 35:49Speaker 9: team they used to be. That's the Tennessee Titans playing
- 35:53Speaker 9: the Houston Texans.
- 35:54Speaker 6: Right.
- 35:56Speaker 9: And the Texans finally winning a game 26-3 over Tennessee.
- 35:59Speaker 6: Cam Ward 0-5. When is the buzzer going to go off?
- 36:11Speaker 6: He's on the clock.
- 36:12Speaker 9: I think he's on the clock. This is his second year.
- 36:15Speaker 9: They drafted him first in the draft.
- 36:18Speaker 6: Well, well, I'm saying now.
- 36:20Speaker 8: And there have been stories that the media and the
- 36:23Speaker 8: local media and him are, there's a lot of tension there, so.
- 36:28Speaker 6: Well. We could really influence if they drive him out
- 36:31Speaker 6: of there. And again. Find him out, Big Kenny. Stall
- 36:34Speaker 6: him out, Big Kenny.
- 36:35Speaker 10: If I'm riding on a bald tire and my spare
- 36:41Speaker 10: is a bald donut, what are my options really? Who
- 36:48Speaker 10: they going to replace him with is what I'm asking you.
- 36:51Speaker 10: They got to go get a new tire.
- 36:53Speaker 6: They got to go and get it. Okay. I'm saying,
- 36:58Speaker 6: and all of them people that's worth having, already gone.
- 37:01Speaker 6: Most of them. Most of them. You got to go
- 37:05Speaker 6: to the new store that got the new tires.
- 37:08Speaker 22: Oh.
- 37:09Speaker 6: Let's see. There you go. I don't think they're the
- 37:12Speaker 6: same size.
- 37:13Speaker 10: I don't even think they're the same size, but we
- 37:15Speaker 10: just going to throw something on there because we need
- 37:16Speaker 10: a tire.
- 37:17Speaker 9: Yeah, the 0 and 5 Titans. Biggest news probably out
- 37:22Speaker 9: of this game. is that the Texans traded for Marvin
- 37:27Speaker 9: Harrison Jr., which is a shock too.
- 37:31Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah.
- 37:31Speaker 6: That he was like maybe what, the second, their first pick,
- 37:34Speaker 6: but he was like the fourth overall. He was the
- 37:36Speaker 6: second pick of the draft. He was fourth overall. And
- 37:39Speaker 6: how many years ago?
- 37:40Speaker 2: Two.
- 37:40Speaker 6: Two years ago. That's what I'm saying. I was like,
- 37:42Speaker 6: why are they? This is year three.
- 37:43Speaker 10: But is this what we talk about all the time,
- 37:46Speaker 10: getting rid of them while they're worth something?
- 37:49Speaker 17: Sure.
- 37:49Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying.
- 37:50Speaker 9: That's why I said Cam Ward is on that same
- 37:52Speaker 9: kind of– Marvin Harrison. It doesn't matter that you was
- 37:57Speaker 9: a quarterback. Both of them was top five picks. So,
- 38:01Speaker 9: you know, to be traded in the third year, four
- 38:07Speaker 9: games in, five games in to another team, it lets
- 38:10Speaker 9: you kind of see where the NFL is now. We'll
- 38:12Speaker 9: be back with more of the Sports Talk Show right
- 38:14Speaker 9: after this.
- 38:24Speaker 6: Don't go away.

- 41:09Speaker 6: Welcome back to.
- 41:12Speaker 9: The Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock, Wayne Candy.
- 41:16Speaker 9: Good morning to you out there in listening land. We'll
- 41:18Speaker 9: get back to the NFL in just a second. Out
- 41:23Speaker 9: in California, more than 200 California high school students walked
- 41:29Speaker 9: out of class to protest a the captain of the
- 41:32Speaker 9: football team, social media post leaving school officials facing questions
- 41:39Speaker 9: about accountability as the team also had to forfeit their
- 41:44Speaker 9: game the previous night. But that was centered around not
- 41:50Speaker 9: having enough healthy linemen. They only had five healthy offensive linemen.
- 41:55Speaker 6: You can't play football like that. That means you have
- 42:01Speaker 6: no options.
- 42:02Speaker 9: So they forfeited that game, but that had nothing to
- 42:05Speaker 9: do with why the students walked out.
- 42:08Speaker 6: This is at.
- 42:09Speaker 9: Piner Junior Senior High School in Santa Rosa. This followed
- 42:16Speaker 9: an Instagram post that went out a couple of weeks
- 42:20Speaker 9: ago where the captain of the football team on his
- 42:23Speaker 9: post put free the Cornell 7. And the Cornell 7
- 42:32Speaker 9: situation with allegations of rape that happened at a fraternity
- 42:38Speaker 9: party back in 2024. But for that post, the students
- 42:44Speaker 9: decided to walk out. They're looking for really this young
- 42:51Speaker 9: man in their mind to be dealt with in a
- 42:56Speaker 9: harsher way. I think they just had him leave school
- 43:00Speaker 9: or that day, but students and a couple of parents
- 43:05Speaker 9: are looking for a tougher situation to be dealt to
- 43:12Speaker 9: this young man. And the story stood out for me, guys,
- 43:16Speaker 9: from the standpoint of, as we always talk about with
- 43:22Speaker 9: social media and different things, if.
- 43:25Speaker 6: This young man.
- 43:28Speaker 9: From what he knows, hears, reads, doesn't or feel that
- 43:35Speaker 9: these other guys from this situation.
- 43:42Speaker 6: Are innocent.
- 43:47Speaker 9: Why is this something that he should be dealt with on?
- 43:55Speaker 9: Where is his freedom of That's how he sees it.
- 44:00Speaker 9: It's no different than put OJ behind bars or free
- 44:04Speaker 9: OJ or free Chris Brown or put, you know, everybody
- 44:12Speaker 9: makes their own.
- 44:16Speaker 8: He's, okay, this is an opinion that he has. And
- 44:20Speaker 8: it's not a crime for him saying this.
- 44:26Speaker 6: It's not a crime.
- 44:27Speaker 8: But you can't control how other people are going to
- 44:30Speaker 8: react to this.
- 44:32Speaker 6: As far as.
- 44:33Speaker 9: No, I'm not asking why the other people react. The
- 44:39Speaker 9: 200 students are going to do what they want. I
- 44:42Speaker 9: don't know why it would even be a question of
- 44:44Speaker 9: why he would be under any scrutiny.
- 44:47Speaker 8: From the school. What is being dealt with? What does
- 44:52Speaker 8: that mean? Are they going to suspend him? The article
- 44:57Speaker 8: says he was... ask not to attend a team event team.
- 45:02Speaker 10: Dinner and for me I think this is the slipperiest
- 45:06Speaker 10: slope of social media is you give people platforms where
- 45:11Speaker 10: they can speak their individual thoughts in real time unlimited
- 45:18Speaker 10: unrestricted they can just put what they're thinking out there
- 45:23Speaker 10: but then you want them to think the exact same
- 45:25Speaker 10: thing that you think You want them to agree with
- 45:29Speaker 10: you on everything. And if they don't, now all of
- 45:31Speaker 10: a sudden they're wrong and warrant some sort of punishment.
- 45:35Speaker 10: We used to call this freedom of thought. We used
- 45:39Speaker 10: to call this free speech. We used to call this
- 45:43Speaker 10: what I think first person point of view. And now
- 45:46Speaker 10: that's not allowed anymore. This man can't feel like he wants.
- 45:49Speaker 10: I remember during the OJ trial, we were alive doing that.
- 45:52Speaker 10: Remember all the people calling for the death penalty for OJ?
- 45:55Speaker 10: Remember all of that? Remember some people saying that they
- 45:58Speaker 10: deserved it. They in that man house and, and nobody
- 46:02Speaker 10: got fired. Nobody walked out. They might've argued a lot.
- 46:06Speaker 10: They might've disagreed. But at the end of the day,
- 46:08Speaker 10: we would agree that that was our agreement is that
- 46:11Speaker 10: we disagree. And now I'm just saying, I don't see
- 46:14Speaker 10: how freedom of speech has turned into something punishable. Like you,
- 46:19Speaker 10: you are restricting me from coming places. You want to
- 46:21Speaker 10: put me off the team?
- 46:22Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 46:24Speaker 6: And then what?
- 46:24Speaker 10: What if they're found innocent later? I'm not saying that
- 46:28Speaker 10: that's going to happen. I'm just saying, what if that happens? Well,
- 46:30Speaker 10: I don't even know what rule you are breaking. This
- 46:33Speaker 10: is not hate speech.
- 46:34Speaker 6: No. So you can't even follow under that.
- 46:38Speaker 22: No.
- 46:38Speaker 6: You can say free whoever it is that you want
- 46:41Speaker 6: to say free. Right or wrong.
- 46:44Speaker 9: I don't have to agree with that, but that's not hate.
- 46:47Speaker 6: And to my knowledge, I don't think they're actually in jail,
- 46:50Speaker 6: are they? Uh, they were, I think all I know
- 46:53Speaker 6: is that they were expelled. If any of them were.
- 46:55Speaker 6: So where's the free ball?
- 46:57Speaker 22: Right.
- 46:58Speaker 9: I'm saying the difference for me is it's different. If
- 47:01Speaker 9: you said kill.
- 47:02Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 47:03Speaker 6: Yeah. X, Y, and Z. Yeah.
- 47:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:06Speaker 9: But I can say free. Whoever. I want to see.
- 47:13Speaker 9: Or a free.
- 47:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:16Speaker 6: A year or two ago. Remember they were smart. Free
- 47:18Speaker 6: Larry Hoover.
- 47:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:20Speaker 18: So.
- 47:21Speaker 6: Okay?
- 47:22Speaker 10: That's how you see it. I think I might have
- 47:25Speaker 10: liked two or three of them posts. I'm serious. I
- 47:28Speaker 10: think I shared one of them free Larry Hoover posts.
- 47:31Speaker 10: I'm going in.
- 47:32Speaker 8: Full transparency about, like, no, you can't say that. You
- 47:36Speaker 8: could say free Larry Hoover. You could say free the
- 47:39Speaker 8: Cornell 7. And you have the right to walk out.
- 47:42Speaker 9: To me, I don't see where the coach gets to say,
- 47:45Speaker 9: don't come to the team dinner. Why whatever you're supposed
- 47:49Speaker 9: to be part of the school is even in question.
- 47:51Speaker 9: That might not even have been a punishment. It might
- 47:53Speaker 9: have been, hey, you too hot right now. No, because
- 47:58Speaker 9: then that's wrong too. To admonish me based on those
- 48:02Speaker 9: people is a choice of mine. I can offer like, hey,
- 48:07Speaker 9: I understand if you need to miss Thursday night's dinner.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Right.
- 48:10Speaker 6: But if that's something you want to attend. You're welcome
- 48:14Speaker 6: to because you're part of the team. You're part of
- 48:15Speaker 6: the team. You're the team captain. You're the team captain.
- 48:19Speaker 10: If anything, let's get some extra security out here because
- 48:22Speaker 10: these people have lost their minds. But that's the thing
- 48:25Speaker 10: about social media is you will allow people to say
- 48:29Speaker 10: what they want to and then criticize them for having
- 48:34Speaker 10: individual thoughts and feelings.
- 48:37Speaker 6: We'll be back with more of the Sports Jock Show
- 48:39Speaker 6: right after this. Don't go away. More of the Sports
- 48:55Speaker 6: Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is coming up next.
- 49:00Speaker 21: Some people won't give you the real talk on drugs,
- 49:03Speaker 21: but it's time we know the facts. Fentanyl is killing people.
- 49:06Speaker 21: It's a powerful opioid often made illegally and commonly mixed
- 49:10Speaker 21: with illicit drugs. It can even be pressed into counterfeit
- 49:13Speaker 21: pills that resemble prescription medications. Just two milligrams, about the
- 49:17Speaker 21: size of a few grains of sand, could potentially be lethal.
- 49:20Speaker 21: This isn't an ad to scare you, but it is
- 49:22Speaker 21: an ad to make you think twice. Get the facts.
- 49:25Speaker 21: Go to realdealonfentanyl.com. This message is brought to you by

- 50:16Speaker 5: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Gandy.
- 50:22Speaker 6: Center Court. On sports, news, gossip, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 50:34Speaker 13: Welcome back to the.
- 50:42Speaker 6: Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock Wayne King.
- 50:50Speaker 9: But Kenny, you said we had a couple of comments
- 50:51Speaker 9: here as we wind down this first hour.
- 50:54Speaker 10: Yeah, Sports Shock, our loyal online listeners have been with
- 50:58Speaker 10: us since the beginning of the top of the hour.
- 51:00Speaker 10: And Uncle Charlie said he tried to hang. But he
- 51:03Speaker 10: fell asleep around the fifth inning of the Major League
- 51:05Speaker 10: Baseball game and woke up just in time to see
- 51:08Speaker 10: the Atlanta Falcons quarterback acting like he was hurt. And
- 51:15Speaker 10: that was the most Johnson post ever because that was
- 51:18Speaker 10: my experience. I fell asleep about the fifth inning and
- 51:22Speaker 10: then woke up to catch the Falcons with, I know
- 51:25Speaker 10: my body.
- 51:26Speaker 6: On the ground. And I'm like, oh, is he hurt again?
- 51:29Speaker 9: So he went from the baseball... Mid-baseball game.
- 51:34Speaker 6: Mid-baseball. To a nap. To a nap. To waking up.
- 51:37Speaker 6: To waking up to Michael Pennant. That was my experience too.
- 51:41Speaker 10: And I was thinking to myself, I know he's not
- 51:43Speaker 10: writhing on the ground in pain, but yes, he was.
- 51:46Speaker 10: And then as we were talking about the high school
- 51:50Speaker 10: football player and the students walking out, Chris Michael said,
- 51:54Speaker 10: there is no free speech. And a lot of people
- 51:58Speaker 10: are starting to feel like that. You can't speak your
- 52:01Speaker 10: original language. True thoughts anymore. If you're going to put
- 52:05Speaker 10: them in public, you have to keep that stuff to yourself.
- 52:08Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 52:09Speaker 9: And I'm confused. And, you know, hopefully that the program
- 52:12Speaker 9: and the school do have his back. But I don't
- 52:16Speaker 9: know where there's an infraction. outside of the students can
- 52:21Speaker 9: get together and do whatever they choose to. They have
- 52:23Speaker 9: that right, just like he has the right. And I understand,
- 52:26Speaker 9: as I said, if it was some kind of hate speech.
- 52:29Speaker 6: It'd be different.
- 52:29Speaker 9: It would be different. I couldn't justify him. He's talking
- 52:33Speaker 9: about kill or shoot or somebody else.
- 52:35Speaker 6: We wouldn't want that.
- 52:36Speaker 9: Free whoever you want to free is within your range.
- 52:40Speaker 9: That is why they call it freedom.
- 52:42Speaker 10: And speaking of, we got Baron Duffy who commented, the
- 52:47Speaker 10: bad producer. William Conway with an exclamation.
- 52:52Speaker 6: Point. Do you want us to?
- 52:54Speaker 10: That's free speech. We ain't finna challenge that. They just
- 52:58Speaker 10: said the bad producer William Conway. I'm just asking for clarification.
- 53:02Speaker 10: I'm not restricting anybody. That's where we get in trouble.
- 53:04Speaker 10: I'm not restricting. I just want to understand. Want folks
- 53:07Speaker 10: to clear stuff up. I just want to understand. Might
- 53:10Speaker 10: want to just leave it alone. That's how we move forward.
- 53:12Speaker 10: If you say something and I have questions, just to understand.
- 53:16Speaker 6: Where you're coming from. Okay. We can do that, right?
- 53:20Speaker 6: Or that's restricting free speech if I can't ask questions.
- 53:23Speaker 10: I'm saying what about the established reality? We know who
- 53:26Speaker 10: the bad producer is. We know what he do. And
- 53:29Speaker 10: then anybody calling for him.
- 53:33Speaker 6: Do you want to question that and drag it out?
- 53:35Speaker 4: No.
- 53:35Speaker 10: We just going to let them call his name and
- 53:38Speaker 10: we'll be like Candyman. We won't look in the mirror
- 53:40Speaker 10: and turn around when we say that.
- 53:42Speaker 8: Is that what the student protesters should have done?
- 53:44Speaker 6: They should have just not looked in the mirror.
- 53:47Speaker 9: Last night, speaking of the Falcons, Michael Penix getting hurt there.
- 53:52Speaker 6: The Ravens in a.
- 53:53Speaker 9: Game where you really felt like the Falcons was going
- 53:55Speaker 9: to do enough to win this game. Lamar Jackson being out.
- 53:59Speaker 9: Snoop Huntley in. Really shows you the difference between Lamar
- 54:06Speaker 9: and him, but he did enough. As the game went on,
- 54:10Speaker 9: Derrick Henry, you're talking about, you know, the Hall of
- 54:13Speaker 9: Famer Derrick Henry against, if he keeps this pace going on,
- 54:17Speaker 9: Dijon Robinson will be in that same kind of electric
- 54:21Speaker 9: conversation last night. Both of them doing some big things
- 54:25Speaker 9: at different points. But 30-23, the Ravens over the Falcons
- 54:32Speaker 9: in overtime. Baltimore had a good contingency of fans in
- 54:36Speaker 9: there as well at this game. Michael Penix did. And
- 54:43Speaker 9: he was having a solid night in this game until
- 54:49Speaker 9: he took a big hit. And that is where this
- 54:54Speaker 9: young man unfortunately seems.
- 54:57Speaker 6: To dwell in the durability.
- 55:02Speaker 9: And I think that was some of, you know, sometimes
- 55:05Speaker 9: people say things and you don't want it to be true.
- 55:09Speaker 9: One of the knocks for him and even the great
- 55:13Speaker 9: Jaden Daniels up with the commanders. Shout out to him yesterday.
- 55:18Speaker 9: They did tie the game. It went into overtime, ended
- 55:21Speaker 9: in a tie. But shout out to them as far
- 55:25Speaker 9: as playing with that dislocated elbow. But both of those
- 55:29Speaker 9: kind of guys came out with that.
- 55:31Speaker 10: Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on.
- 55:35Speaker 6: Get him, get him, get him, get him. Hold on, man.
- 55:37Speaker 6: Hold on, hold on. Coach, just one, I need to
- 55:40Speaker 6: come out.
- 55:40Speaker 9: Can they take that punishment week in and week out.
- 55:46Speaker 6: On bodies that... He said he's okay, though.
- 55:49Speaker 9: Because at their sizes and the slimness of them, then
- 55:54Speaker 9: they can't. The guys in your mind... that was smaller,
- 55:59Speaker 9: like a Russell Wilson or Michael Vick, they had the
- 56:03Speaker 9: talent to stay away from them kind of hits.
- 56:06Speaker 6: And even when I was on.
- 56:07Speaker 9: Opposing teams playing against someone like a Michael Vick or
- 56:12Speaker 9: Drew Brees, the whole concept of attack was to hit
- 56:16Speaker 9: them and fall on them and try to reduce them.
- 56:21Speaker 9: That was called body blows. The defensive coordinator would be
- 56:26Speaker 9: sitting there saying, hey, I'll take the first personal foul
- 56:31Speaker 9: on me. I'll let y'all know when to not be
- 56:35Speaker 9: on edge. Until then, just let the dogs go. I
- 56:39Speaker 9: don't care if he's close. Take him to the Gatorade cooler.
- 56:43Speaker 9: Punish him as much as you can. Then I'll tell
- 56:46Speaker 9: you when to stop punishing him. Okay, now play a
- 56:49Speaker 9: little control. Don't do it. But until then, I want
- 56:54Speaker 9: you to slam him, fall on him lay, make him
- 56:58Speaker 9: push you.
- 56:58Speaker 6: Up off of him.
- 57:01Speaker 9: Now you can't follow him. Well, I'm talking about like,
- 57:03Speaker 9: I know you're talking about Ben. Not the dump. And
- 57:06Speaker 9: I'm talking about like within the legal, like lay there,
- 57:09Speaker 9: just let the 300 pounds lay on top.
- 57:12Speaker 18: Right.
- 57:12Speaker 6: And he have to roll from under you.
- 57:14Speaker 9: Make him get you off or make the lineman come
- 57:16Speaker 9: have to pull, just hold them down there. It was
- 57:19Speaker 9: that kind of, cause they're small and it's get tiring, man.
- 57:25Speaker 9: It's just, you know, Can you imagine these big guys just, ah, man,
- 57:29Speaker 9: get off me. You know, it gets frustrating. They try
- 57:33Speaker 9: to do it to Lamar, but the 4-2 speed just
- 57:35Speaker 9: don't let you get to him.
- 57:38Speaker 6: Some quarters you don't see them get tackled, but you
- 57:41Speaker 6: don't see them get hit. You don't ever see them
- 57:43Speaker 6: get hit. And Michael Penix got hit last night.
- 57:46Speaker 10: Now, yesterday, speaking of the Commander's Giants, I was wondering
- 57:52Speaker 10: if I had maybe gotten overwhelmed with all of the
- 57:54Speaker 10: coverage of football. But they played one overtime and ended
- 58:00Speaker 10: in a tie. And that's a new rule. Is that
- 58:03Speaker 10: a new rule? No, it's always been the rule. We
- 58:08Speaker 10: each get a shot, and if nobody scores, then the
- 58:10Speaker 10: game is over. It used to be not we each
- 58:12Speaker 10: get a shot. That is new.
- 58:14Speaker 18: Okay.
- 58:14Speaker 6: It used to be first person scores wins.
- 58:18Speaker 9: But it's always been when the regulation of that added
- 58:23Speaker 9: time is over, the game is over.
- 58:25Speaker 20: Okay.
- 58:26Speaker 9: So it's not like basketball. So they put the 10
- 58:29Speaker 9: minutes on the clock. Cause I, I, I think maybe
- 58:32Speaker 9: I had two ties in mind. I think one of
- 58:35Speaker 9: them was against the Falcons.
- 58:37Speaker 10: And so it's just a rare occurrence that, that there's
- 58:40Speaker 10: a tie after the regulation.
- 58:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 58:44Speaker 8: Because now it's the, it, the teams are encouraged to
- 58:48Speaker 8: be a more aggressive offensively or to like, really, if
- 58:51Speaker 8: you get the ball first, take your time, use as
- 58:53Speaker 8: much time as possible to.
- 58:55Speaker 9: And that's what the Ravens did. Even though they won,
- 58:59Speaker 9: when they went on that long drive, they only left
- 59:02Speaker 9: like two minutes for Tua because Tua had to come
- 59:06Speaker 9: in and he threw an interception. But they started, you
- 59:08Speaker 9: could tell they were trying to use it like, okay,
- 59:11Speaker 9: whether we kick a field goal or score a touchdown,
- 59:14Speaker 9: when you do get your opportunity, you're going to almost
- 59:17Speaker 9: be in a two-minute drill.
- 59:18Speaker 10: And the Eagles-Jags game, that was the most exciting. Last
- 59:23Speaker 10: eight seconds of the game was the most exciting. We'll
- 59:25Speaker 10: be back with more of the Sports Talk show right
- 59:27Speaker 10: after this.
- 59:38Speaker 6: Don't go away.
- 59:39Speaker 5: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 59:41Speaker 5: coming up next.
- 59:45Speaker 6: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 59:48Speaker 7: Three-quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 59:51Speaker 7: of financial security, yet only 49% actually have life insurance.
- 59:56Speaker 24: When I was 25, me and my wife were just
- 59:58Speaker 24: getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:00:00Speaker 24: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 1:00:03Speaker 6: What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:00:06Speaker 24: When I was 40, with a kid in college and
- 1:00:08Speaker 24: bills piling up, I was worried how my family would
- 1:00:10Speaker 24: survive without me. That's when I made an appointment with
- 1:00:12Speaker 24: the insurance informant.
- 1:00:13Speaker 7: Information gives you power and life insurance gives your family security,
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:00:18Speaker 24: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:00:21Speaker 24: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:00:23Speaker 6: The answer is easy.
- 1:00:24Speaker 7: Whether you're 25 or 50, whether you earn a little
- 1:00:26Speaker 7: or a lot, all you need is the insurance informant
- 1:00:29Speaker 7: to help you build a foundation of security. Because without you,
- 1:00:32Speaker 7: your family will have two options, benefits or bills. Which
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: legacy will you leave behind? Log on today, benefitsorbills.com or bills.com.
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: Enough is enough i have had it why so serious and.
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: We hold the world ransom for excuse me while i
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: whip this.
- 1:00:59Speaker 6: Out broadcasting live in atlanta georgia this this is the sports.
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: Jock show with wayne dandy You may build me up.
- 1:01:11Speaker 6: Build me up, yeah.
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: Can you build me up, yeah? But you won't break
- 1:01:17Speaker 4: me down.
- 1:01:17Speaker 6: I've come too far.
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: I've come too far, yeah.
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: Yeah, I've come too far, yeah. So just throw in
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: the towel. It's a new day.
- 1:01:23Speaker 10: I'm a doobie.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna go all the way.
- 1:01:26Speaker 6: You may build me up.
- 1:01:29Speaker 9: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock,
- 1:01:32Speaker 9: Wayne Caney. Good morning to you out there in listening land.
- 1:01:35Speaker 9: Monday night football, Buffalo at the Rams tonight. Comanche Greg,
- 1:01:39Speaker 9: I know you're feeling good about your Oklahoma Sooners. I
- 1:01:45Speaker 9: thought that was your team.
- 1:01:46Speaker 6: That's the team. Oh, I forgot. It's Florida State. I
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: was trying to give him some love.
- 1:01:51Speaker 10: Any Native American reference, huh, Sports Chalk? Any planes? Any
- 1:01:56Speaker 10: reference to the tribe?
- 1:01:57Speaker 6: I cannot celebrate anything the Sooners do.
- 1:02:00Speaker 9: Well, they knocked off Texas in the Red River robbery.
- 1:02:06Speaker 6: Yeah, they did. On Saturday night. You know, it was
- 1:02:14Speaker 6: a good game. Between Bama and Georgia. Good game. But
- 1:02:21Speaker 6: it was a little dab of something wasn't there for it.
- 1:02:25Speaker 6: Like what? Like what? I don't know.
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: It was like you was waiting on something a little
- 1:02:29Speaker 9: more thrilling. But it was a good game. I watched it.
- 1:02:33Speaker 9: The rain did hold off as far as being able
- 1:02:36Speaker 9: to cancel it. And I did see about four deaths
- 1:02:41Speaker 9: last time I saw with the storm.
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: Unfortunately. The weather.
- 1:02:50Speaker 9: It always lets you know, hey, certain things in life
- 1:02:55Speaker 9: you can't control. And the weather is definitely something, no
- 1:02:59Speaker 9: matter how many social media accounts and electric driverless cars
- 1:03:07Speaker 9: that we have, the weather still is the weather.
- 1:03:11Speaker 10: And have you seen, no one complains about people trudging
- 1:03:16Speaker 10: forward at sporting events. even in the face of the
- 1:03:21Speaker 10: weather being so bad that four people lost their lives.
- 1:03:24Speaker 10: If this were anything else, everybody would be like, how
- 1:03:27Speaker 10: insensitive that you would be more concerned about sports than,
- 1:03:32Speaker 10: but not with Bama, Georgia. Everybody's on some rest in peace,
- 1:03:38Speaker 10: go dogs. And I think that just goes to show
- 1:03:41Speaker 10: the mindset that goes along with big time sport.
- 1:03:45Speaker 9: It's a huge mindset. Interesting case coming out of Monaco.
- 1:03:54Speaker 9: German Panada, the 75-year-old referee, the Mexican wrestler that body
- 1:04:05Speaker 9: slammed or what they called the power pile driver. Remember
- 1:04:10Speaker 9: that move in wrestling?
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: Yeah, I am.
- 1:04:14Speaker 9: One of the wrestlers put this move on a German
- 1:04:20Speaker 9: and was arrested on manslaughter charges. I'm trying to make
- 1:04:30Speaker 9: sure it is Hijo de Fishman who executed this move
- 1:04:39Speaker 9: and killed the referee. Referee was 75 years old, Kanata,
- 1:04:47Speaker 9: and he.
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: Applied a double underhook pile driver to the referee. I'm looking.
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: I just Googled.
- 1:05:00Speaker 10: Based on the facts, and it says the referee's ring
- 1:05:03Speaker 10: name is El Buho.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:05:07Speaker 10: Is this something standard, like having a ring name as
- 1:05:11Speaker 10: a referee? I've never known referees to have ring names.
- 1:05:14Speaker 10: That makes me think that maybe they are equal parts participant.
- 1:05:18Speaker 6: Or he used to be a former wrestler. Or something.
- 1:05:21Speaker 10: There is something that you were more deeply connected to
- 1:05:27Speaker 10: the wrestling part of it than just officiating it.
- 1:05:30Speaker 9: Well, typically when they are part of the whole spectacle.
- 1:05:36Speaker 9: whatever their part is. It looks like it on television,
- 1:05:42Speaker 9: but they understand when the wrestler is going to throw
- 1:05:46Speaker 9: them over the ring. They're part of the whole gag
- 1:05:50Speaker 9: that's going on. So I don't know if in this
- 1:05:56Speaker 9: case that wasn't part of the– They.
- 1:06:01Speaker 10: Said he was released from custody after reaching a financial
- 1:06:04Speaker 10: compensation agreement with the referee's family to avoid further prosecution.
- 1:06:12Speaker 10: I've known similar cases. I was informed when I was
- 1:06:15Speaker 10: in South Korea that you can handle judicious cases like that.
- 1:06:24Speaker 10: I hit you in an accident and I kill you.
- 1:06:29Speaker 6: And it's, I didn't mean to do it.
- 1:06:31Speaker 10: It was obviously an accident and here's $ 50, 000. And if
- 1:06:35Speaker 10: your family goes, okay, even if it's not that serious,
- 1:06:39Speaker 10: if I go, Hey man, here's $ 200, the police will
- 1:06:42Speaker 10: wait until we negotiate. Can we work it out? And
- 1:06:44Speaker 10: if not, then we'll do the whole report thing outside
- 1:06:47Speaker 10: of that, whatever you can negotiate is on you.
- 1:06:51Speaker 6: So the charges of arrest drop once I pay.
- 1:06:55Speaker 20: Yes.
- 1:06:56Speaker 6: All of that. Interesting.
- 1:06:57Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:06:58Speaker 9: Um, Things like it would have been just something lawyers
- 1:07:01Speaker 9: would have taken care of without the arrest part.
- 1:07:05Speaker 6: You would think.
- 1:07:06Speaker 10: But maybe that is part of what opens up the
- 1:07:10Speaker 10: faucet of payment is, all right, now this is what
- 1:07:14Speaker 10: it's like in jail.
- 1:07:16Speaker 6: You can avoid all this. Gotcha.
- 1:07:19Speaker 9: Well, I just thought that was because I've never heard
- 1:07:21Speaker 9: someone being charged. I would imagine wrestlers for people that
- 1:07:26Speaker 9: are not supposed to be part of something if they
- 1:07:29Speaker 9: get hurt, but I figured they had insurance for that.
- 1:07:32Speaker 9: If we do a gag and somebody in the front row,
- 1:07:35Speaker 9: almost like, you know, and I don't know if they
- 1:07:37Speaker 9: make you sign a waiver or they tell you if
- 1:07:39Speaker 9: you get these seats up there, like in baseball, like
- 1:07:44Speaker 9: before they put that net up, they would let you know, hey,
- 1:07:47Speaker 9: the line drive on you. You sure you want to
- 1:07:50Speaker 9: sit down here?
- 1:07:53Speaker 10: Because who were we watching last night? Was it Milwaukee?
- 1:08:00Speaker 10: And was it the Dodgers?
- 1:08:02Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:08:02Speaker 10: And they were in Milwaukee, and I didn't see the net.
- 1:08:06Speaker 10: Maybe it's a different design, but I didn't see the
- 1:08:08Speaker 10: net behind home plate. And I was thinking you might
- 1:08:11Speaker 10: be needing to pay attention in Milwaukee because it doesn't
- 1:08:13Speaker 10: have that. Most Major League Baseball parks have that, hey,
- 1:08:17Speaker 10: if you sit here, there may be potential, but it's
- 1:08:20Speaker 10: on the back of the ticket, but they still have
- 1:08:22Speaker 10: that safety netting.
- 1:08:23Speaker 6: I didn't see the netting in Milwaukee.
- 1:08:27Speaker 8: What section was it? Who said behind home plate? Behind
- 1:08:30Speaker 8: home plate.
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: Well, it's definitely behind home plate.
- 1:08:34Speaker 10: It has to be wiring, and maybe it's the color
- 1:08:36Speaker 10: of it that didn't show up, but it wasn't something
- 1:08:40Speaker 10: that made me go like, oh, they're safe, but they
- 1:08:42Speaker 10: looked really comfortable.
- 1:08:44Speaker 9: The Brewers did win and take a one-game lead in
- 1:08:47Speaker 9: that series, winning last night 2-1 over the Dodgers.
- 1:08:53Speaker 6: So Milwaukee leads.
- 1:08:55Speaker 9: I guess the other series would start tonight or tomorrow
- 1:08:57Speaker 9: night Tonight. Between the Guardians and the Rays on the
- 1:09:03Speaker 9: other side in the ALCS.
- 1:09:07Speaker 6: NFL action.
- 1:09:07Speaker 22: Go ahead.
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: Well, I was going to say like what you're going
- 1:09:09Speaker 8: to hear a lot about and I've already been seeing
- 1:09:12Speaker 8: it is comparing payrolls.
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: The Dodgers.
- 1:09:18Speaker 8: Have the highest payroll in baseball, while the Guardians, Brewers,
- 1:09:26Speaker 8: and Rays are in the bottom five, I believe.
- 1:09:32Speaker 6: Now, that's something I see.
- 1:09:33Speaker 10: Something you might hear about a lot. Something that I
- 1:09:38Speaker 10: see happen in baseball quite a bit. I see the
- 1:09:41Speaker 10: Lakers do it in basketball, and I don't really hear
- 1:09:44Speaker 10: about it much in football, and that's paying the luxury tax.
- 1:09:49Speaker 6: Like baseball's willing to just go, yeah, whatever.
- 1:09:51Speaker 10: We spent too much. Take this $ 9 million and we'll
- 1:09:56Speaker 10: work it out. But the Lakers have had a luxury
- 1:09:59Speaker 10: tax fine.
- 1:10:00Speaker 6: I don't know if the NFL, we have to look
- 1:10:02Speaker 6: that up.
- 1:10:02Speaker 9: I don't know if they have the option of a
- 1:10:04Speaker 9: luxury cap kind of situation. In the NFL, I think
- 1:10:09Speaker 9: that's a hard cap. I think it's a hard cap.
- 1:10:12Speaker 9: You don't get to just say you went over. But
- 1:10:16Speaker 9: we'll have to look that up. But I understand what
- 1:10:19Speaker 9: you're saying, and I agree with you. People always like
- 1:10:21Speaker 9: to do that. I always try to first and foremost
- 1:10:25Speaker 9: tell you that the pay scale does not always determine
- 1:10:30Speaker 9: by the talent. You're always thinking that the $ 20 million
- 1:10:36Speaker 9: player is always better than the $ 10 million player, and
- 1:10:40Speaker 9: that's not true. It just means that the $ 20 million
- 1:10:44Speaker 9: player caught or was free at the right time. Or
- 1:10:50Speaker 9: maybe he's a little more consistent or have a bigger name.
- 1:10:53Speaker 9: He sells tickets. But that doesn't always. Because people love
- 1:10:59Speaker 9: when the Yankees used to do it. The Yankees would
- 1:11:01Speaker 9: end up playing with a small market team. These are
- 1:11:05Speaker 9: small market teams that are still left. The only Tampa
- 1:11:09Speaker 9: Bay Ray fans live in Tampa. If there are any.
- 1:11:14Speaker 9: Some of them might be in St.
- 1:11:16Speaker 12: Pete.
- 1:11:17Speaker 9: I go to Florida, and that's not really. There's a
- 1:11:20Speaker 9: couple of them in St.
- 1:11:21Speaker 12: Pete.
- 1:11:21Speaker 9: You know, the Milwaukee Brewer fans are in Milwaukee and.
- 1:11:25Speaker 6: In that area.
- 1:11:26Speaker 9: And Menominee, Wisconsin. In that area, and the same thing
- 1:11:31Speaker 9: with the Cleveland Guardians. It's a small market. Cleveland sports, period,
- 1:11:36Speaker 9: is their region. The Cav fans were just LeBron James fans.
- 1:11:42Speaker 9: That's why it dropped so fast when he leaves or
- 1:11:46Speaker 9: when they don't have a superstar there, it just drops.
- 1:11:51Speaker 9: As big as Atlanta is, the Atlanta Hawks and the
- 1:11:54Speaker 9: Atlanta Falcons are regional teams. Now, they might have big
- 1:11:59Speaker 9: fan bases based at the region just happens to be
- 1:12:02Speaker 9: a bigger city.
- 1:12:03Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:12:04Speaker 9: But they're not in that caveat of teams like the
- 1:12:10Speaker 9: Cowboys and the.
- 1:12:12Speaker 6: Steelers and the Raiders where.
- 1:12:14Speaker 9: People live in other states, North Dakota, and decided they're
- 1:12:20Speaker 9: going to be a.
- 1:12:22Speaker 6: Steeler fan.
- 1:12:24Speaker 10: And really quick, you mentioned fan bases and things like that.
- 1:12:29Speaker 10: I want to apologize to Angel Reese because when she
- 1:12:32Speaker 10: first got here, you mentioned some players sell tickets. I
- 1:12:35Speaker 10: said when she got here that all she was going
- 1:12:37Speaker 10: to do was sell tickets. She wouldn't be instrumental in
- 1:12:39Speaker 10: helping them advance. And I was wrong about that, Angel.
- 1:12:43Speaker 10: You played and helped get them to the finals. And
- 1:12:46Speaker 10: so from Big Kenny, part of the Sports Jock Show.
- 1:12:50Speaker 10: My bad, Dwayne.
- 1:12:52Speaker 6: We'll be back with more of the Sports Jock Show
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: right after this.
- 1:12:58Speaker 19: Hey don't.

- 1:16:32Speaker 6: Doc always seems a little older than that, doesn't he?
- 1:16:35Speaker 6: Because of the voice. It's Doc. Speaking of older. How
- 1:16:38Speaker 6: old is Doc? 65. Again? It's Doc. You see my face.
- 1:16:44Speaker 6: You see my face. Doc, who are you trying to
- 1:16:47Speaker 6: keep up with now?
- 1:16:48Speaker 9: Former Lakers coach Dale Harris is 89 years old.
- 1:16:54Speaker 20: 89.
- 1:16:54Speaker 9: Marie Osmond is 67. Jermaine O'Neal, 48. Paul the Truth
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: Pierce is 49. Former supermodel. Back in the 70s, Beverly
- 1:17:09Speaker 9: Johnson is 74. Brian Dawkins, the hard-hitting eagle, is 53.
- 1:17:16Speaker 9: Your man Ryan Clark is 47. Shirley Caesar, 88. Paul
- 1:17:24Speaker 9: Simon is 85. Sasha Baron Cohen is 55. Kate Walsh
- 1:17:31Speaker 9: from Grey's Anatomy, 59. Tiffany Trump is 33. How do
- 1:17:39Speaker 9: you say the congresswoman or what is she, senator or politician?
- 1:17:44Speaker 9: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. Cortez is 37.
- 1:17:51Speaker 6: What do they call her?
- 1:17:52Speaker 12: AOC.
- 1:17:52Speaker 6: Oh, AOC is 37. World, as many of the 49er
- 1:17:54Speaker 6: fans remember. Jerry Rice is 64.
- 1:18:06Speaker 9: And the owner of the Dallas Cowboys is 84 years old,
- 1:18:14Speaker 9: so you figure out what his name is.
- 1:18:18Speaker 6: That's enough hints.
- 1:18:19Speaker 10: Wait, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys is in the 84?
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: Yeah, you figure the rest out. That's enough information, right? Zero.
- 1:18:26Speaker 6: owns that's his given first name.
- 1:18:31Speaker 9: Did i give y'all enough information on that that's enough
- 1:18:33Speaker 9: information he owns the cowboys and he's i want to
- 1:18:36Speaker 9: buy a vow 84 years old big kenny little work
- 1:18:40Speaker 9: here uh.
- 1:18:41Speaker 10: I was i was i was gonna file paperwork on
- 1:18:44Speaker 10: beverly johnson then i looked and was like okay marie
- 1:18:47Speaker 10: osmond still in play and then you mentioned Kate Walsh.
- 1:18:52Speaker 6: Kate Walsh. You done lucked up. Clock in on Kate Walsh. Okay.
- 1:18:59Speaker 6: She got caught on the other side of the fence.
- 1:19:01Speaker 6: Everybody else made it before the gate got closed.
- 1:19:04Speaker 9: We were speaking to Jerry Jones being 84, and this
- 1:19:06Speaker 9: is why I be saying the media write things.
- 1:19:10Speaker 6: They just, and I know it's just how, for what
- 1:19:12Speaker 6: y'all call it, clickbait. Content, gotta have some.
- 1:19:16Speaker 9: But when I watch it, it says, Nike founder Phil
- 1:19:19Speaker 9: Knight sparks health fears and sad, in quotation marks, footage
- 1:19:25Speaker 9: of him arriving to the Oregon game, Oregon play UCLA
- 1:19:30Speaker 9: the other day. Why is it sad? Because you saw
- 1:19:36Speaker 9: Phil Knight, he's 88 years old. And y'all captured him
- 1:19:41Speaker 9: walking with his cane to the game. And that was
- 1:19:47Speaker 9: your thought? Because I would have saw it. And when
- 1:19:49Speaker 9: I saw it, I'm like, look at Phil, still getting around. Boy,
- 1:19:52Speaker 9: he's still out here.
- 1:19:53Speaker 10: He's still coming outside.
- 1:19:55Speaker 9: Still going at 88. Phil still go out? Didn't need
- 1:19:59Speaker 9: no wheelchair.
- 1:20:00Speaker 6: He's going to every Oregon game. Think about that now.
- 1:20:01Speaker 6: He's trying to get a national championship.
- 1:20:03Speaker 10: Look, just on the fact that you could have Oregon
- 1:20:06Speaker 10: play at your house. You could have just told him
- 1:20:10Speaker 10: to come by the house and do this game and
- 1:20:12Speaker 10: you done actually came out.
- 1:20:13Speaker 6: Yeah, got up. On your own. And y'all talking about
- 1:20:17Speaker 6: health scare. Let me tell you something. Standing up when.
- 1:20:20Speaker 10: You 88 is a health scare.
- 1:20:24Speaker 9: Going to an arena with 90,000 screaming fans and all that.
- 1:20:28Speaker 6: Oh, yeah. You Iron Man. There's a contingent. You just
- 1:20:32Speaker 6: overachieving at 88.
- 1:20:34Speaker 8: There's a contingent of people who don't understand that. Understand
- 1:20:37Speaker 8: that people age. Like, maybe people who wrote that article
- 1:20:43Speaker 8: were expecting him to, you know, jog into the stadium and,
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: you know, maybe toss the ball around during warm-ups.
- 1:20:53Speaker 4: 88.
- 1:20:53Speaker 6: They're expecting him to do that at 88.
- 1:20:55Speaker 10: Well, do you think because he's the owner of Nike
- 1:20:58Speaker 10: that they figure his body would be different at 88
- 1:21:01Speaker 10: than the natural human body would be at 88?
- 1:21:10Speaker 9: No, I think that maybe they, because we live in
- 1:21:15Speaker 9: the rebuild of body, maybe they think he would have
- 1:21:20Speaker 9: invested into robotic different things that would make him look different.
- 1:21:27Speaker 9: Like he would buy some kind of back brace or
- 1:21:30Speaker 9: knee brace or put some kind of stem in his
- 1:21:33Speaker 9: neck that would make him part robot.
- 1:21:38Speaker 6: As he moves.
- 1:21:40Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:21:40Speaker 9: Because, you know, growing, just growing to your age and
- 1:21:43Speaker 9: moving at your age, you know, he's not running to
- 1:21:48Speaker 9: get the Lionel Richie package.
- 1:21:50Speaker 6: Because Lionel Richie got a package.
- 1:21:52Speaker 9: Fixing his face and all that. Then you falling out
- 1:21:54Speaker 9: on stage and you, whoa, why your blood pressure out?
- 1:21:57Speaker 9: Because you locked it under your chin. You locked the
- 1:22:01Speaker 9: whole vein when they pulled your face back.
- 1:22:03Speaker 6: Allegedly. It's a vein that got locked up under. Pressing
- 1:22:09Speaker 6: against your jawbone. Filled with Botox.
- 1:22:12Speaker 9: It's a reason why your throat is supposed to. Your
- 1:22:15Speaker 9: veins need more room, I guess, when you get older.
- 1:22:18Speaker 9: It's why your face... I don't know, but I'm saying
- 1:22:20Speaker 9: maybe they just think with all his... He was supposed
- 1:22:23Speaker 9: to come in, and I'm like, well, I was just like,
- 1:22:26Speaker 9: look at old Phil.
- 1:22:27Speaker 6: Still moving around.
- 1:22:29Speaker 8: Or like that one movie where they scan your body,
- 1:22:32Speaker 8: and now all the cancer's cured. It's supposed to be
- 1:22:35Speaker 8: something like that. He's supposed to have that. That's a
- 1:22:37Speaker 8: real machine, right?
- 1:22:39Speaker 6: I guess so. I don't know. He's supposed to have that.
- 1:22:42Speaker 5: I just.
- 1:22:43Speaker 9: I look at that like, man, I hope I can
- 1:22:45Speaker 9: walk to the– At 88, bro. I hope to even
- 1:22:48Speaker 9: just be here. I'm saying with enough wherewithal to be like,
- 1:22:54Speaker 9: I'd like to go to the game.
- 1:22:57Speaker 6: I might not even.
- 1:22:58Speaker 10: Know what game it is, but just to have awareness
- 1:23:01Speaker 10: that there's a game being played and I.
- 1:23:03Speaker 9: Want to go to it. I feel good enough to
- 1:23:06Speaker 9: go to it. To go to the game and not
- 1:23:08Speaker 9: wheelchair in.
- 1:23:10Speaker 4: Walk.
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: We'll be back with more of the Sports Jock Show
- 1:23:13Speaker 6: right after this. I gave them the teaching. That wasn't
- 1:23:17Speaker 6: a problem. Because if he caused it, I would have
- 1:23:18Speaker 6: to solve them. Because George looked good.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: Damn good.
- 1:23:21Speaker 9: And if I didn't, some other girl.
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: Would.
- 1:23:25Speaker 6: Don't go away.
- 1:23:26Speaker 5: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:23:28Speaker 5: coming up next.
- 1:23:33Speaker 25: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 1:23:35Speaker 25: took lightly. But with everything going on, I really wanted
- 1:23:38Speaker 25: to feel like I could protect myself.
- 1:23:40Speaker 21: I hadn't thought about.
- 1:23:41Speaker 25: The danger of an unlocked gun in my own home until.
- 1:23:44Speaker 16: Mia, where are your napkins?
- 1:23:47Speaker 6: Ooh, not that drawer.
- 1:23:49Speaker 4: Unless anyone needs a gun.
- 1:23:53Speaker 25: Now, I always lock my gun to keep everyone safe.
- 1:23:56Speaker 25: Visit nfamilyfire.org to learn how to store your guns more securely.
- 1:24:00Speaker 6: Brought to you by Brady and the Ad Council.
- 1:24:02Speaker 11: I'm a pretty great multitasker. I can wash dishes and
- 1:24:06Speaker 11: do laundry. I can roller skate while walking my dog.
- 1:24:08Speaker 12: Woof, woof!
- 1:24:10Speaker 11: I can even order lunch while doing my homework. But
- 1:24:12Speaker 11: I can't use my phone while driving. A distracted driver
- 1:24:16Speaker 11: is one of the leading causes of death in the
- 1:24:18Speaker 11: United States. So when it comes to driving, please, don't
- 1:24:21Speaker 11: be a multitasker.
- 1:24:23Speaker 6: Don't drive distracted.
- 1:24:24Speaker 22: A message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic
- 1:24:26Speaker 22: Safety Administration, Project Yellow Light, and the Ad Council.
- 1:24:32Speaker 6: All right, son. Time to put out this campfire. Dad,
- 1:24:35Speaker 6: we learned about this in school.
- 1:24:36Speaker 20: Oh, did you now? Okay.
- 1:24:38Speaker 6: What's first? Smokey Bear said to.
- 1:24:40Speaker 20: First, drown it with a bucket of water. Then stir
- 1:24:43Speaker 20: it with a shovel.
- 1:24:44Speaker 10: Wow.
- 1:24:44Speaker 6: You sound just like him. Then he said.
- 1:24:47Speaker 20: If it's still warm, then do it again.
- 1:24:50Speaker 6: Where can I learn all this?
- 1:24:51Speaker 20: It's all on SmokeyBear.com with other wildfire prevention tips.
- 1:24:56Speaker 9: Because only you can prevent wildfires.
- 1:24:58Speaker 6: Brought to you by the USDA Forest Service, your state forester,
- 1:25:01Speaker 6: and the Ad Council. And now, back to the Sports Jock,
- 1:25:06Speaker 6: Wayne Gandy.
- 1:25:09Speaker 18: Players Lounge. You have been given full access to the
- 1:25:15Speaker 18: Players Lounge on the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:25:29Speaker 23: When you say you love me, it doesn't matter. It
- 1:25:31Speaker 23: goes into my head as just chit-chat. You may think
- 1:25:34Speaker 23: it's egotistical or just worry-free, but what you say, I
- 1:25:36Speaker 23: take none of it seriously.
- 1:25:38Speaker 9: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock,
- 1:25:41Speaker 9: Wayne Candy. Good morning to you out there in listening land.
- 1:25:44Speaker 9: Glad to be here with you. Comanche Greg, Big Kenny,
- 1:25:46Speaker 9: Monday Night Football, Beals. Rams, game one of the ALCS
- 1:25:53Speaker 9: between the Cleveland Guardians and the Tampa Bay Rays. Probably
- 1:25:58Speaker 9: game two. Remember, baseball, they don't take breaks. Not like
- 1:26:02Speaker 9: the NBA. They don't do that, play a game, wait
- 1:26:04Speaker 9: three days, play another game. They just keep playing. So
- 1:26:08Speaker 9: maybe game two of that Dodgers-Brewers is tonight as well.
- 1:26:12Speaker 9: So check that out. One thing, the Virginia State Police.
- 1:26:17Speaker 9: For all of you that think they're not still looking
- 1:26:19Speaker 9: for Travis Lee Turner, they say they are. Just want
- 1:26:22Speaker 9: to make y'all know. High school coach that went missing
- 1:26:26Speaker 9: after charges of child sex charges.
- 1:26:31Speaker 6: I guess they can't find him.
- 1:26:34Speaker 9: So there's been speculation early on that maybe when he
- 1:26:39Speaker 9: went into the woods, he died or something. But right now, look,
- 1:26:44Speaker 9: from what they're still searching, He could be living off
- 1:26:47Speaker 9: the land. What has it been, like a year now?
- 1:26:54Speaker 5: Almost.
- 1:26:55Speaker 6: Okay. We're at 11 months.
- 1:26:57Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:26:58Speaker 6: They just want you to know, Comanche, because you probably thought,
- 1:27:00Speaker 6: they're still looking. And they say he walked into the
- 1:27:04Speaker 6: Appalachian Mountains carrying a gun and never seen again.
- 1:27:09Speaker 19: All right.
- 1:27:11Speaker 8: Whatever animals are in the area, coyotes, hyenas, I think
- 1:27:19Speaker 8: they got to them.
- 1:27:21Speaker 10: Well, if there are coyotes and hyenas, then there are
- 1:27:24Speaker 10: definitely bear and fish and deer.
- 1:27:29Speaker 6: And so how are you going to survive, John? Day
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: by day. Day by day. Day by day. I'm saying
- 1:27:40Speaker 6: it's plausible day by day.
- 1:27:43Speaker 8: But if he went there with just a gun, I mean,
- 1:27:46Speaker 8: John Wick may have survived with just a gun.
- 1:27:48Speaker 10: I don't know about this high school football coach. Elvin
- 1:27:50Speaker 10: Casey say he in the woods off Gresham Road. And
- 1:27:53Speaker 10: if he in the woods off Gresham Road, he just
- 1:27:55Speaker 10: hiding for his own safety now.
- 1:27:57Speaker 6: He ain't trying to come out on Gresham. Yeah, I
- 1:28:00Speaker 6: don't know. He ain't trying to come out on Gresham.
- 1:28:02Speaker 9: I guess they got maybe some people sending them emails
- 1:28:05Speaker 9: and social media posts, and they just want you– Comanche, Greg,
- 1:28:11Speaker 9: in particular, to know they're still looking, but he hiding
- 1:28:16Speaker 9: well from these sex charges. Because I think if he
- 1:28:22Speaker 9: had killed himself, they would have found his body.
- 1:28:24Speaker 10: Yeah, you would think some remnant of, well, now, then
- 1:28:30Speaker 10: that would lend itself to how hard are we searching
- 1:28:33Speaker 10: for you? If we looking for you and we can't
- 1:28:36Speaker 10: find remnants of your body, bloody trails of bone. and
- 1:28:40Speaker 10: all of that, there would be. It's been 10 months.
- 1:28:43Speaker 10: I'm saying now, I'm saying now bear eat human, but
- 1:28:46Speaker 10: they don't eat belt buckles and shoes.
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: And things like that. That stuff. They found people decades
- 1:28:52Speaker 6: in the woods.
- 1:28:53Speaker 8: But also consider like whether it's, it's rained, it's snowed.
- 1:28:59Speaker 8: Those belts or shoes or whatever are buried under lots
- 1:29:05Speaker 8: of dirt.
- 1:29:05Speaker 6: Yeah, but he's been taught to ignore wind, rain. He's
- 1:29:10Speaker 6: been taught to eat things that'll make a billy goat puke.
- 1:29:16Speaker 9: The NFL, just to finish up the games, what game
- 1:29:19Speaker 9: didn't we touch on yesterday?
- 1:29:22Speaker 6: The Raiders.
- 1:29:24Speaker 9: Starting to look a little less potent. especially when they
- 1:29:28Speaker 9: can't get Jenty to run the ball when it's not
- 1:29:31Speaker 9: going through his legs. The Patriots finally showing up, looking
- 1:29:35Speaker 9: like the team that went to the Super Bowl last year.
- 1:29:38Speaker 9: Drake May having a nice day, 45-17 over Vegas. The
- 1:29:45Speaker 9: Houdat Nation losing again to the Vikings. Kyler Murray doing
- 1:29:50Speaker 9: a great job yesterday of voiding the sack and extending plays.
- 1:29:56Speaker 6: 23-13 over the Saints. The Chargers.
- 1:30:02Speaker 9: We was talking about 0-5. So who do we have
- 1:30:05Speaker 9: at 0-5? The Dolphins, the Tennessee Titans. The Chargers are
- 1:30:11Speaker 9: the only other team, right? They haven't won a game.
- 1:30:15Speaker 6: They're 0-5. I think it's those three. Nah, nah. The
- 1:30:18Speaker 6: Bucs got off. We say the Titans. We say it.
- 1:30:24Speaker 6: The Titans, the Dolphins. The Dolphins. And the Chargers. Chargers.
- 1:30:29Speaker 9: And it was the Texans and the Bucs. But the
- 1:30:32Speaker 9: Texans and Bucs won this weekend.
- 1:30:34Speaker 10: But of the Titans, the Chargers, and the Dolphins, you
- 1:30:39Speaker 10: kind of don't expect the Chargers to be there.
- 1:30:45Speaker 6: Who's more?
- 1:30:47Speaker 10: Who's got more concern for job security right now? Oh,
- 1:30:51Speaker 10: the Chargers, definitely. everybody out there.
- 1:30:53Speaker 9: We're talking about a team that odds were, you know
- 1:30:56Speaker 9: how we talked about the Bills playing the Rams. People
- 1:31:00Speaker 9: had imagined that maybe the Chargers would play the Rams
- 1:31:04Speaker 9: out in the Super Bowl.
- 1:31:05Speaker 6: It's in L.A. this year.
- 1:31:07Speaker 9: So, very surprised for the money, the talent of Justin Herbert,
- 1:31:13Speaker 9: because at least with the other two teams, Malik Willis
- 1:31:17Speaker 9: and There were a lot lower expectations. The Tampa Bay
- 1:31:22Speaker 9: Bucks without Baker Mayfield. But Justin Herbert has actually played
- 1:31:28Speaker 9: all five of these games.
- 1:31:29Speaker 22: Yeah.
- 1:31:30Speaker 9: And they are 0-5 and lost to Denver 23-17. The
- 1:31:35Speaker 9: Lions ran over Arizona. And when you start trading a
- 1:31:39Speaker 9: top four pick in Marvin Harrison Jr., kind of lets
- 1:31:45Speaker 9: you know where the Cardinals are at. When you start unloading.
- 1:31:49Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:31:50Speaker 9: They seem like they're preparing for 2027, losing 45-21. And
- 1:31:56Speaker 9: the most exciting game of the day, based on that
- 1:31:59Speaker 9: people were getting thrown out, the 49ers and the Seahawks, 32-29.
- 1:32:06Speaker 6: What was the man, Greenlaw? Yeah, Dre Greenlaw.
- 1:32:09Speaker 9: Dre Greenlaw, headbutting the running back on their sideline, and
- 1:32:15Speaker 9: he didn't have a helmet, so I'm looking for a
- 1:32:17Speaker 9: fine on that. So it's because you came way over
- 1:32:21Speaker 9: to my sideline arguing with us and headbutt. It was
- 1:32:24Speaker 9: obvious they had to get rid of him. I mean,
- 1:32:26Speaker 9: some things are like, oh, man, they didn't have to
- 1:32:29Speaker 9: call that.
- 1:32:30Speaker 6: Yes, Trey.
- 1:32:31Speaker 10: And they kept what.
- 1:32:36Speaker 6: Was the guy Jones? Was it that he headbutted? I think.
- 1:32:39Speaker 6: But whoever it was, he headbutted.
- 1:32:40Speaker 10: They kept panning over to him to see if he
- 1:32:42Speaker 10: was bleeding because he kept touching his forehead like that.
- 1:32:46Speaker 10: but uh now in that game we all know how
- 1:32:50Speaker 10: it ended what did you think of that ending was
- 1:32:54Speaker 10: that a first down oh with uh with cooper with cooper.
- 1:32:57Speaker 6: Cup yes um it looked like from my vantage point
- 1:33:05Speaker 6: but It was 50-50. I will say that. No, it wasn't.
- 1:33:12Speaker 6: It was 50-50.
- 1:33:13Speaker 4: No, it wasn't.
- 1:33:14Speaker 10: We got all of that technology, and you saw that
- 1:33:16Speaker 10: man's feet in, and we got an.
- 1:33:18Speaker 6: Imaginary line that stretch around the world. Am I correct?
- 1:33:22Speaker 6: Am I correct? I don't know about the world, but
- 1:33:25Speaker 6: at least in the stadium. It stretched the world, Craig.
- 1:33:29Speaker 10: And this man had both feet in, and he stretched
- 1:33:32Speaker 10: the ball to the first down marker, and in football,
- 1:33:36Speaker 10: that's called the, let's say it together, a.
- 1:33:39Speaker 6: First down.
- 1:33:42Speaker 9: Why wasn't it a first down last night? They looked
- 1:33:45Speaker 9: at it at headquarters and decided that it was not.
- 1:33:50Speaker 9: I'd turn this stuff over. I swear I'd turn this
- 1:33:52Speaker 9: stuff over.
- 1:33:54Speaker 6: They decided? They decided. They went to the replay booth.
- 1:33:57Speaker 10: And they said, no, bro, let's go get this over with, man.
- 1:34:01Speaker 6: We've done a couple of overtimes today. You know, Vegas
- 1:34:05Speaker 6: can say it. Come on, man.
- 1:34:06Speaker 10: I ain't got time to be standing around here. You
- 1:34:10Speaker 10: can't tell me it wasn't a judgment call.
- 1:34:13Speaker 6: Somebody going to get hurt.
- 1:34:14Speaker 10: Somebody going to get hurt out here if we keep
- 1:34:17Speaker 10: letting this go on, man.
- 1:34:18Speaker 6: Let's just go and wrap this up, bro. The 49ers
- 1:34:21Speaker 6: are 5-0. On the season. I don't know. They sent
- 1:34:28Speaker 6: it up to the replay booth. Oh, come on, man.
- 1:34:32Speaker 6: And then we want to ask the question. I don't understand.
- 1:34:35Speaker 6: Y'all upset with the replay booth. Right.
- 1:34:37Speaker 10: And then we mad because we want the refs to
- 1:34:40Speaker 10: have more oversight and all that.
- 1:34:42Speaker 8: I gave you oversight. And we want more technology, too.
- 1:34:46Speaker 8: This is why they want more. Where the first Dow
- 1:34:48Speaker 8: Barker is. So then we can see, did he cross
- 1:34:51Speaker 8: the laser line? And this is why they want more oversight.
- 1:34:54Speaker 8: I gave you enough. You didn't want the people on
- 1:34:56Speaker 8: the field to make the decision. So I got an
- 1:34:59Speaker 8: impartial party. Because we see what they do. We see
- 1:35:04Speaker 8: what they do. Now all y'all in.
- 1:35:06Speaker 6: On it together.
- 1:35:06Speaker 8: You need an oversight of them. An oversight of the oversight.
- 1:35:10Speaker 8: Everybody in on it together. So y'all want some kind
- 1:35:13Speaker 8: of black ops team. It's the Chicago Black Sox. That
- 1:35:16Speaker 8: really exists. The Illuminati.
- 1:35:18Speaker 10: It's the Chicago Black Sox all over again. I'm telling you.
- 1:35:22Speaker 10: I'm telling you. Well, all I can go with, the
- 1:35:26Speaker 10: refs gave it to the replay. The replay said no.
- 1:35:32Speaker 10: That's all you got. You got to live with that.
- 1:35:36Speaker 10: How many more people need to vote on this? Who
- 1:35:38Speaker 10: you going to believe? Them or your own lying eyes?
- 1:35:42Speaker 6: Maybe from their screen. I only have 4K. Maybe they
- 1:35:45Speaker 6: have 5K. That's all the Ks. They got four. Right now,
- 1:35:50Speaker 6: four is the top number of Ks. Somebody got eight Ks.
- 1:35:53Speaker 6: I'm saying now, no, no. The highest number of Ks
- 1:35:55Speaker 6: is four. They have many LED OPR CYT technology. They
- 1:36:02Speaker 6: show you red, green, blue, and white, all in vivid.
- 1:36:05Speaker 10: When you start throwing all them alphabets together, I get confused.
- 1:36:09Speaker 10: So I'm going to have to let you have that.
- 1:36:11Speaker 10: I'm going to have to let you have that with
- 1:36:13Speaker 10: the OP and then that. I'm going to go on
- 1:36:16Speaker 10: and digress. But y'all know that was the first down.
- 1:36:20Speaker 6: NFL.
- 1:36:21Speaker 9: We'll be back with more of the Sports Talk show
- 1:36:23Speaker 9: right after this.
- 1:36:31Speaker 23: Don't go away.
- 1:36:38Speaker 5: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:36:45Speaker 5: coming up next.
- 1:36:49Speaker 6: Everyone needs to take care of their mental health, even
- 1:36:51Speaker 6: running back B. John Robinson. When I'm on the field
- 1:36:54Speaker 6: and feeling the pressure, I usually just take a deep breath.
- 1:36:57Speaker 12: When I'm just breathing and seeing what's in front of me,
- 1:36:59Speaker 12: everything just slows down.
- 1:37:00Speaker 6: It just makes me feel great before I run the play.
- 1:37:03Speaker 6: Just like Bijan, we all need a strong mental game
- 1:37:06Speaker 6: on and off the field. Make a game plan for
- 1:37:08Speaker 6: your mental health at georgia.loveyourmindtoday.org. Love your mind. Brought to

- 1:38:07Speaker 20: My Alzheimer's diagnosis was hard to take.
- 1:38:10Speaker 12: But early detection allowed us to take control of the
- 1:38:13Speaker 12: situation together. Talk to your family about seeing a doctor.
- 1:38:16Speaker 6: Go to alz.org slash time to talk. A message from
- 1:38:19Speaker 6: the Alzheimer's Association and the Ad Council. And now, back
- 1:38:33Speaker 6: to the sports jar, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:38:35Speaker 4: It's Wayne Gandy It's Wayne Gandy.
- 1:38:56Speaker 1: Oh, log on so you can see the sports J-O-C,
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: even Big Kenny.
- 1:39:02Speaker 9: Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show. I'm the Sports Talk,
- 1:39:06Speaker 9: Wayne Gandy. Former Indiana Fever guard Sidney Coulson delivered a message,
- 1:39:12Speaker 9: Big Kenny Comanche Greg, to white players in the WNBA
- 1:39:21Speaker 9: that they should not speak on the trans athlete situation. Basically,
- 1:39:32Speaker 9: former player on her podcast, Unsupervised, went back to 2020
- 1:39:39Speaker 9: when the co-owner, Kelly Loeffler of the Atlanta Dream, had
- 1:39:44Speaker 9: a statement during.
- 1:39:45Speaker 6: Black Lives Matter.
- 1:39:47Speaker 9: And her whole situation here, guys, is based on, like,
- 1:39:50Speaker 9: as she said, Listen, if you don't speak up, basically,
- 1:39:55Speaker 9: then be quiet. Because if you don't speak up on everything,
- 1:40:02Speaker 9: then you shouldn't speak up on anything. When I hear this, guys,
- 1:40:09Speaker 9: have people forgotten Greg, Comanche Greg, Big Kenny? Have people
- 1:40:14Speaker 9: forgotten that everybody has their own own causes. Your cause
- 1:40:26Speaker 9: is not necessarily my cause. That doesn't mean that I'm
- 1:40:31Speaker 9: against your cause. But I have a cause. You have
- 1:40:37Speaker 9: a cause. Correct, guys? Is that how it works? You
- 1:40:40Speaker 9: have things that touch you more than other things. I
- 1:40:46Speaker 9: might not have been very enthusiastic about Black Lives Matter,
- 1:40:51Speaker 9: or maybe that's not something that registered to me. But
- 1:40:55Speaker 9: the trans athlete thing does. Do we not have, or
- 1:40:59Speaker 9: I have to be mad about, I know you guys
- 1:41:03Speaker 9: are reading, but I'm trying to get an answer about causes.
- 1:41:08Speaker 6: Not so much the story, causes. Well, I'm saying.
- 1:41:14Speaker 9: You dedicate your money to the homeless. I dedicate my
- 1:41:18Speaker 9: money to PETA. We have different causes. You're trying to
- 1:41:23Speaker 9: make it seem like because I don't support your cause,
- 1:41:27Speaker 9: I shouldn't speak up about mine.
- 1:41:31Speaker 10: Well, the thing is, we have shared interests, though. They
- 1:41:35Speaker 10: see the WNBA as the platform for... to promote this cause.
- 1:41:42Speaker 10: That's the thing that I think keeps the WNBA a
- 1:41:45Speaker 10: lot of times.
- 1:41:46Speaker 6: So disjointed.
- 1:41:48Speaker 10: It's like when we start having certain civil rights conversations,
- 1:41:53Speaker 10: we own the same side, but we have vastly different
- 1:41:57Speaker 10: ideas of directions and how to get there.
- 1:42:01Speaker 9: But we're not on the same side. We're just at
- 1:42:04Speaker 9: the same job. Well, We all work for Coca-Cola.
- 1:42:11Speaker 10: See, but you sound like one of them old people.
- 1:42:14Speaker 10: You sound like one of them old people. Your job
- 1:42:17Speaker 10: and who you are are synonymous. You can't separate yourself
- 1:42:22Speaker 10: from where you work.
- 1:42:23Speaker 6: Sure I can. No, you can't. Why would you?
- 1:42:26Speaker 9: Because our occupation does not formulate what we actually, and
- 1:42:32Speaker 9: we saw this years ago with Cam Hayward of the Stillers.
- 1:42:36Speaker 9: The NFL and those guys wanted to support cancer, breast
- 1:42:41Speaker 9: cancer research.
- 1:42:42Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:42:43Speaker 9: He, being with his dad, Ironhead Hayward, who died from
- 1:42:48Speaker 9: brain cancer.
- 1:42:49Speaker 18: Right.
- 1:42:50Speaker 6: He wanted brain cancer. Right.
- 1:42:53Speaker 9: It's the same thing on any issue that you can't
- 1:42:59Speaker 9: make mine Sensibility's yours. Did the NFL fine him? Because
- 1:43:06Speaker 9: we worked.
- 1:43:07Speaker 6: Did the NFL fine him? Yes. And that's where it starts.
- 1:43:10Speaker 9: And then they eventually just got rid of it because
- 1:43:13Speaker 9: they understood. We went too far. And they gave him
- 1:43:16Speaker 9: his money back.
- 1:43:17Speaker 6: Because we went too far.
- 1:43:19Speaker 10: But what happens is, you know how we pick sound
- 1:43:22Speaker 10: bites and video clips. All the people who want to
- 1:43:27Speaker 10: push that agenda did was clip out the he got
- 1:43:30Speaker 10: fined part. If the NFL is willing to stand with
- 1:43:34Speaker 10: these sensibilities, then it ought to make sense to you too, non-participator.
- 1:43:40Speaker 10: You and me work at a grocery store, and we
- 1:43:45Speaker 10: ought to be protesting the fact that they serve fresh
- 1:43:48Speaker 10: meat because animals are people too.
- 1:43:53Speaker 6: Yeah, that's not my hassle with the story. Well, you
- 1:43:57Speaker 6: shouldn't be working here then, sir.
- 1:43:59Speaker 9: And that's what I'm saying. to Sidney Colson, I don't
- 1:44:03Speaker 9: get why you're telling a group and then you're specifically saying.
- 1:44:09Speaker 6: White players.
- 1:44:10Speaker 10: Yeah, why can't white players speak out for transgender? Why
- 1:44:15Speaker 10: can't white players? Just because one white person said something.
- 1:44:21Speaker 9: I think because she thought that doing, as I said,
- 1:44:25Speaker 9: the Black Lives Movement, in her mind, maybe enough white
- 1:44:31Speaker 9: White players didn't speak up on that. 2020, so what?
- 1:44:37Speaker 9: Maybe Sophie Cunningham would have been a rookie then. So
- 1:44:41Speaker 9: if you're not going to speak up on that, don't
- 1:44:42Speaker 9: speak up on nothing. And that's what I'm, why though?
- 1:44:47Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:44:48Speaker 10: I mean, because it seems like she was saying, like,
- 1:44:53Speaker 10: since you didn't speak up for this and she was
- 1:44:55Speaker 10: attaching Black Lives Matter to transgender athletes. But what she's
- 1:44:59Speaker 10: just saying is if you didn't want to, if you're
- 1:45:02Speaker 10: not going to shout free.
- 1:45:04Speaker 6: The, what is it? The Cornell 7. The Cornell 7.
- 1:45:10Speaker 6: Then we can't say free nobody. That's weird. And then
- 1:45:15Speaker 6: to make it color. That's weird.
- 1:45:17Speaker 9: Yeah, if you wasn't against what the Black Lives Matter,
- 1:45:20Speaker 9: then you shouldn't have a problem with the trans, and
- 1:45:24Speaker 9: I don't understand how those are.
- 1:45:28Speaker 6: Connected.
- 1:45:29Speaker 10: Elder Casey was asking why they making it about race,
- 1:45:31Speaker 10: and that's what's confusing us.
- 1:45:32Speaker 6: Yeah, that's what's confusing us. Why can't white players be like, hey!
- 1:45:36Speaker 9: Not just confusing us from that point, but confusing why
- 1:45:39Speaker 9: you think what you.
- 1:45:42Speaker 6: Want to go out and pick it.
- 1:45:44Speaker 10: Because remember when it was Black Lives Matter, there was
- 1:45:49Speaker 10: a faction of people from Black Lives Matter that were
- 1:45:52Speaker 10: against white people joining the movement because.
- 1:45:56Speaker 6: You were not.
- 1:45:57Speaker 9: Well, you know how we've had stories, even in the
- 1:45:59Speaker 9: last year or two, where people go and throw paint
- 1:46:05Speaker 9: and oil on paintings and exhibits in their protest of whatever,
- 1:46:11Speaker 9: the pipeline or bare fur. I don't have, I get
- 1:46:16Speaker 9: a thing in the mail all the time talking about
- 1:46:18Speaker 9: save some gorillas or something or whales.
- 1:46:24Speaker 6: And I'm always like, man, if y'all don't stop sending,
- 1:46:26Speaker 6: y'all wasting paper. And listen to this. That ain't mine.
- 1:46:29Speaker 6: I'm trying to get, I'm trying to get Rallo.
- 1:46:31Speaker 10: Listen, you want Rallo free.
- 1:46:37Speaker 6: And you're out here telling me about something in the Congo.
- 1:46:41Speaker 10: Nah, them folks send it to my mama.
- 1:46:43Speaker 6: She going to donate. My mama donates so much that
- 1:46:45Speaker 6: they start sending her money in the mail.
- 1:46:47Speaker 9: Everything doesn't hit with everybody. Everybody has their own little–
- 1:46:51Speaker 9: I don't really care if people wear fur. That's not
- 1:46:53Speaker 9: my– we can– I'm neutral. But that goes back to–
- 1:46:58Speaker 9: We can wear it or not wear it.
- 1:46:59Speaker 10: That starts at the top of the last hour when
- 1:47:02Speaker 10: we started the show about the high school captain quarterback.
- 1:47:06Speaker 10: Nobody wants you to feel your way anymore.
- 1:47:10Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying.
- 1:47:11Speaker 10: You're telling this woman, this person is telling a whole
- 1:47:15Speaker 10: race of people.
- 1:47:17Speaker 6: I'm telling you, Big Kenny.
- 1:47:18Speaker 10: Not to talk about anything and be offended by it
- 1:47:22Speaker 10: because you didn't stand up for what I wanted you
- 1:47:25Speaker 10: to stand.
- 1:47:25Speaker 6: I don't even know you.
- 1:47:27Speaker 9: We should have a national holiday that we have a
- 1:47:29Speaker 9: day off to celebrate the pig.
- 1:47:36Speaker 6: And I'm vegan.
- 1:47:40Speaker 10: And one of my favorite pets growing up was a pig.
- 1:47:45Speaker 10: And he disappeared. I still don't know what happened to him.
- 1:47:48Speaker 6: But it's such a giving animal. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:47:51Speaker 10: We ate good that whole winter, and I still don't
- 1:47:53Speaker 10: know what happened to my pig.
- 1:47:55Speaker 9: And that's just how it, I don't get it. But
- 1:47:58Speaker 9: very interesting that you can say that. because I could
- 1:48:05Speaker 9: just see Breonna Stewart having this conversation and trying to
- 1:48:10Speaker 9: say black players can't. And how she would just be canceled.
- 1:48:16Speaker 9: And they would ask for liberty to take her jersey down.
- 1:48:19Speaker 9: and all her stats out of the magazine.
- 1:48:21Speaker 6: I don't want black players talking about. We'll be back
- 1:48:25Speaker 6: with more of the Sports Chalk Show right after this.
- 1:48:29Speaker 4: Ice.
- 1:48:30Speaker 20: Came through drippin'. Drip, drip. Came through drippin'. Drip, drip.
- 1:48:33Speaker 20: Came through drippin'. Drip, drip.
- 1:48:35Speaker 12: Got myself a wrist, they trippin.
- 1:48:36Speaker 11: Ice.
- 1:48:38Speaker 6: Don't go away.
- 1:48:39Speaker 5: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:48:42Speaker 5: coming up next.
- 1:48:44Speaker 6: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance.
- 1:48:47Speaker 7: Three-quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:48:50Speaker 7: of financial security, yet only 49% actually have life insurance.
- 1:48:55Speaker 24: When I was 25, me and my wife were just
- 1:48:57Speaker 24: getting started with our family and thought we lived forever.
- 1:48:59Speaker 24: Life insurance was the last thing on my mind.
- 1:49:01Speaker 6: What about you? Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:49:04Speaker 24: When I was 40, with a kid in college and
- 1:49:06Speaker 24: bills piling up, I was worried how my family would
- 1:49:08Speaker 24: survive without me. That's when I made an appointment with
- 1:49:10Speaker 24: the insurance informant.
- 1:49:12Speaker 7: Information gives you power and life insurance gives your family security,
- 1:49:15Speaker 7: no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:49:17Speaker 24: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about whether I'll
- 1:49:19Speaker 24: leave my family with bills or benefits.
- 1:49:21Speaker 6: The answer is easy.
- 1:49:22Speaker 7: Whether you're 25 or 50, whether you earn a little
- 1:49:25Speaker 7: or a lot, all you need is the insurance informant
- 1:49:28Speaker 7: to help you build a foundation of security. Because without you,
- 1:49:31Speaker 7: your family will have two options, benefits or bills. Which
- 1:49:35Speaker 7: legacy will you leave behind? Log on today, benefitsorbills.com. That's benefitsorbills.com.
- 1:49:45Speaker 6: And now, back to the Sports Jock, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:49:50Speaker 18: Now, it's time for the scoreboard, where we put a
- 1:49:54Speaker 18: spin on life and sports and how they intermingle on
- 1:49:58Speaker 18: the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:50:04Speaker 23: Step back, it ain't that type of party. No reply
- 1:50:08Speaker 23: if you ain't somebody. Get out my face, you don't
- 1:50:11Speaker 23: want to hear no more. If you hate rejection, don't try.
- 1:50:15Speaker 9: Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show. I'm the Sports Talk,
- 1:50:17Speaker 9: Wayne Gandy. 17-12, the J-E-T-S.
- 1:50:20Speaker 6: Jets, Jets, Jets.
- 1:50:22Speaker 9: Beat the Cleveland Browns yesterday up in New York. A
- 1:50:27Speaker 9: game where Geno Smith and Deshaun Watson just had average days,
- 1:50:31Speaker 9: about 50% completion. Neither one of them lit it up.
- 1:50:36Speaker 9: 17-12 in that game. Getting lit up yesterday was the Bears.
- 1:50:41Speaker 9: Playing up in Green Bay, 31-7 in that game. There
- 1:50:47Speaker 9: is speculation that Caleb Williams will maybe make it back
- 1:50:51Speaker 9: next week for the Bears. A lot of names, a
- 1:50:56Speaker 9: lot of teams, a lot of people dealing with injuries.
- 1:50:59Speaker 6: That's one thing. Very few teams, even in week five,
- 1:51:05Speaker 6: are hitting with all the players they thought. so quickly.
- 1:51:11Speaker 9: That's why I was like, you know, people try to
- 1:51:13Speaker 9: gauge the preseason and how much not to play, but
- 1:51:17Speaker 9: then the regular season hits. And it seems like you,
- 1:51:21Speaker 9: you could have just might as well have just played
- 1:51:23Speaker 9: in the preseason. Cause by week three, you got five
- 1:51:27Speaker 9: starters that are out.
- 1:51:30Speaker 10: Cause remember during the preseason, we have the whole, he's
- 1:51:34Speaker 10: not going to show up to camp until, uh, or
- 1:51:39Speaker 10: he's late to camp and then he's not going to
- 1:51:41Speaker 10: play this many games in the preseason. And then on
- 1:51:44Speaker 10: game number three, he, in overtime, laying there pretending to
- 1:51:48Speaker 10: be hurt. And, you know, you're in the fifth game
- 1:51:53Speaker 10: and everybody else.
- 1:51:54Speaker 6: He said he could have gone. He tried to go
- 1:51:56Speaker 6: back in. He couldn't open up. But it hurt. He
- 1:51:59Speaker 6: couldn't open up on the throw, Big Kenny. Okay.
- 1:52:01Speaker 10: His ribs hurt too much. Listen, I still don't know
- 1:52:05Speaker 10: what that means. So I'm going to just go with
- 1:52:07Speaker 10: it again. A lot of that I'd be having to
- 1:52:09Speaker 10: trust you on, Sports Jock, because I don't be knowing
- 1:52:11Speaker 10: what it means. So if he done something to his oblique,
- 1:52:18Speaker 10: we don't want him to do none of that, dude.
- 1:52:21Speaker 6: Because if you never hurt your oblique. You thought Tua
- 1:52:23Speaker 6: would give him a better chance. I guess. I guess.
- 1:52:26Speaker 6: And we saw how that turned out.
- 1:52:28Speaker 9: Out in Santa Barbara, school principal. admitted to overriding student
- 1:52:36Speaker 9: elections to award her own daughter to be the class president.
- 1:52:47Speaker 6: How does she still have her job? I wanted to
- 1:52:50Speaker 6: ask what she fired. I wanted to ask what she
- 1:52:52Speaker 6: fired and apparently not.
- 1:52:53Speaker 9: They put on an administrative leave for a couple of
- 1:52:56Speaker 9: days and then she's back to be the principal of
- 1:52:58Speaker 9: the elementary or the sixth grade.
- 1:53:03Speaker 6: Is her daughter still class president?
- 1:53:06Speaker 9: No, they went back with who the students wanted. But
- 1:53:10Speaker 9: she admitted that she rigged the election and she gave
- 1:53:15Speaker 9: two spots. One of them happened to be her daughter.
- 1:53:17Speaker 9: She promoted the two people who lost to the winners
- 1:53:23Speaker 9: on her own admission.
- 1:53:25Speaker 10: So it was sports jock, bad producer... And Comanche Greg
- 1:53:33Speaker 10: running for class president. And I said, okay, sports jock
- 1:53:37Speaker 10: class president. Then I had a fit of conscience. I said, no,
- 1:53:40Speaker 10: you know what?
- 1:53:40Speaker 6: You know what?
- 1:53:41Speaker 10: Actually, it ought to be bad producer class president and
- 1:53:43Speaker 10: Comanche Greg vice president.
- 1:53:46Speaker 6: Can we even trust that? How does she still have
- 1:53:49Speaker 6: her job? I don't know. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:53:51Speaker 9: Well, I tell you how she still got it. No,
- 1:53:53Speaker 9: there has been harm and there has been foul. I'll
- 1:53:55Speaker 9: tell you. You actually rigged the election and you told
- 1:53:58Speaker 9: other people. But you went with the real result.
- 1:54:01Speaker 10: They wasted resources and time and all of that.
- 1:54:04Speaker 6: And you know why?
- 1:54:04Speaker 9: You took these kids through disappointment that they didn't win.
- 1:54:07Speaker 9: And now you're teaching your daughter. You're teaching other students.
- 1:54:13Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:54:13Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:54:15Speaker 9: The damage has been done because you said something right
- 1:54:19Speaker 9: does not mean that there was no foul.
- 1:54:22Speaker 6: Right, right.
- 1:54:23Speaker 10: Them kids had all. Now, you know why she still
- 1:54:26Speaker 10: has her job? Because we live in a world where
- 1:54:30Speaker 10: people look at that and think, I understand. If I
- 1:54:35Speaker 10: could have rigged an entire election to give my child
- 1:54:39Speaker 10: a class presidency, I would have done it too, or
- 1:54:41Speaker 10: at least been tempted to.
- 1:54:43Speaker 6: We have no moral code. Ariel Curry is her name.
- 1:54:47Speaker 6: We have no moral code. She's the Santa Barbara school
- 1:54:49Speaker 6: principal of the sixth grade. And I hear what you're saying,
- 1:54:54Speaker 6: but the damage is done. We have no moral code.
- 1:54:57Speaker 6: The damage is done. The damage has been done.
- 1:54:59Speaker 10: My son came home crying.
- 1:55:01Speaker 6: He said he a failure.
- 1:55:03Speaker 10: Daddy, you told me if I applied myself and I
- 1:55:05Speaker 10: worked hard and I did everything I was supposed to do,
- 1:55:08Speaker 10: it would work out the way it was supposed to.
- 1:55:11Speaker 6: And it didn't.
- 1:55:12Speaker 10: I put up the posters. I had the best speech.
- 1:55:15Speaker 10: We campaigned for three weeks straight. I just, I don't
- 1:55:19Speaker 10: want to live no more. That's the generation we live
- 1:55:22Speaker 10: in now.
- 1:55:22Speaker 9: Or even to the fact that you've, already sparked the
- 1:55:26Speaker 9: flame to a whole class that elections can be rigged.
- 1:55:33Speaker 9: So you took a whole bunch of 11, 12 year
- 1:55:36Speaker 9: olds and have already reinforced what some of society already
- 1:55:43Speaker 9: puts out there. Already believe that our elections are not real.
- 1:55:47Speaker 9: That our elections aren't fair and impartial. And you've proven
- 1:55:51Speaker 9: that they can be manipulated. So damage done. Coming back
- 1:55:57Speaker 9: after telling me later.
- 1:55:59Speaker 6: You know what, bruh? Remember when I said.
- 1:56:02Speaker 9: That's like the president now or any former president coming back.
- 1:56:05Speaker 9: And hey, man, you know, back in 82. You remember
- 1:56:08Speaker 9: that time.
- 1:56:10Speaker 6: Yeah, man.
- 1:56:11Speaker 9: I rigged that election. Damage done. We was just playing.
- 1:56:16Speaker 9: The damage has been done.
- 1:56:18Speaker 6: I was just joshing. The girl, the young lady with
- 1:56:20Speaker 6: the Brian Banks.
- 1:56:21Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:56:22Speaker 6: Yep. I already spent the five years in prison. And
- 1:56:25Speaker 6: done that. Done that time. I missed my scholarship at USC.
- 1:56:29Speaker 6: Did all that. Been labeled a sexual predator.
- 1:56:34Speaker 10: Been living under that flag all this time.
- 1:56:36Speaker 9: So now you're getting the conscience. You may remember when
- 1:56:41Speaker 9: I was talking about you was a sexual predator and
- 1:56:44Speaker 9: a rapist.
- 1:56:45Speaker 6: Oh, sorry. We cool. I didn't mean it.
- 1:56:48Speaker 9: Yeah, so the damage, that's what I'm saying, the damage
- 1:56:50Speaker 9: is already done. So just interesting that she still, that
- 1:56:54Speaker 9: was the part that threw me, that she still had
- 1:56:57Speaker 9: her job.
- 1:56:58Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:56:59Speaker 6: And we are in the ocean. The truth is, he
- 1:57:05Speaker 6: will throw your a * * in the ocean.
- 1:57:07Speaker 18: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Jack
- 1:57:10Speaker 18: Show with.
- 1:57:35Speaker 9: When you're the sound of the ocean, here's a sports shout-out.
- 1:57:37Speaker 9: Just a minute to vent. We'd like to thank you
- 1:57:39Speaker 9: for tuning in to today's show. Big Kenny Comanche. Greg,
- 1:57:41Speaker 9: thank you for your contributions to the show today. If
- 1:57:45Speaker 9: you missed any of the show, you can go to
- 1:57:47Speaker 9: Amazon Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio, or Spotify and
- 1:57:54Speaker 9: catch the replay. Big shout-out to our man, Mike Ditka,
- 1:58:00Speaker 9: passing away at 86 years old.
- 1:58:02Speaker 6: What an icon.
- 1:58:03Speaker 9: Mike Dicca became, as a player and as a coach,
- 1:58:09Speaker 9: an American. Williams in that dress still is part of
- 1:58:14Speaker 9: my consciousness back when they were with the Saints.
- 1:58:18Speaker 6: But going into Ocean today.
- 1:58:22Speaker 9: I mean, she overachieved, but I still got to throw
- 1:58:26Speaker 9: her in the ocean. 34-year-old Jiaying Chen. She pleaded guilty
- 1:58:33Speaker 9: in July to felony bigamy and obtaining money under false pretenses.
- 1:58:41Speaker 9: She married 14 men to support her gambling addictions. They
- 1:58:51Speaker 9: said it was a couple more, and she was asked
- 1:58:55Speaker 9: by the investigators why she didn't marry the other four
- 1:58:59Speaker 9: or five men. She said, because not everyone pays was
- 1:59:04Speaker 9: her explanation. Not everybody pays when you get married. So
- 1:59:08Speaker 9: she would get married and then ask basically for a
- 1:59:12Speaker 9: little money. And the ones that would give it, she
- 1:59:16Speaker 9: would leave. them and just disappear. She even went under
- 1:59:22Speaker 9: another name, Vicky Ling. Big Kenny, you told me about
- 1:59:27Speaker 9: meeting Vicky something, right?
- 1:59:29Speaker 10: Called me $ 85. Called me $ 85. I didn't know I
- 1:59:35Speaker 10: was the only one. I didn't know I wasn't the
- 1:59:38Speaker 10: only one.
- 1:59:38Speaker 9: But in our society where we keep and always promote,
- 1:59:42Speaker 9: as Victor Women Yamba said, he was not going to
- 1:59:45Speaker 9: support these gambling sites.
- 1:59:48Speaker 6: These kind of things go on. She pled guilty.
- 1:59:51Speaker 9: She owes $ 280, 000 in restitution. She's already spent 125 days
- 1:59:58Speaker 9: in jail. She has probation. But 14 men to fund
- 2:00:04Speaker 9: her gambling.
- 2:00:05Speaker 10: And it's one I'm still in love with. Want to
- 2:00:08Speaker 10: see it now. So for that, Comanche Gray.
- 2:00:11Speaker 6: Walk the plank.
- 2:00:13Speaker 12: No!
- 2:00:23Speaker 9: From Big Kenny, the funny man himself, Comanche Greg.
- 2:00:27Speaker 6: And from the Sports Chalk, we hope you have a
- 2:00:29Speaker 6: good afternoon. Peace.
