- 1:07and news you missed, as well as concert tours being announced,
- 1:10metal festivals to cover stuff we did here at the site, all
- 1:13that jazz. This is your first time here.
- 1:15Check us out at goescoldman.com. Feel free to like and subscribe,
- 1:19but it's not necessary. Check out my fun bearded
- 1:23ornaments. And yeah, so much fun stuff to
- 1:27cover today. I'm actually missing one of
- 1:29these. I lost one right before the
- 1:31recording, so I don't know what's going on.
- 1:33I'm missing one. But anyway, thanks for being
- 1:35here. We this is our next to last live
- 1:38stream of the year. We might do one more additional
- 1:42one on Monday. I have a few things I want to
- 1:46get out the way, including my personal rock and metal pics for
- 1:51the year. Ghost Call already ran our list.
- 1:53We'll talk about that in a SEC. If you're new here again, please
- 1:57check us out at ghostcodeman.com.
- 2:00That's what we do. That's what we're here to do
- 2:02Boom, boom, boom. I think I have a little deck
- 2:05here, not at the home studio. I am at the backup studio.
- 2:11Skull Basher is here. What up, what up?
- 2:14Let's make sure we're live everywhere.
- 2:16I feel like Instagram is lagging.
- 2:19OK, now we are live. The best experience to watch
- 2:22this is Facebook, YouTube, Twitch, Instagram and I'm also
- 2:27hanging out on TikTok. What's up Max, Thanks for being
- 2:31here. If you love rock and metal, this
- 2:33is the place to be. It is Christmas Eve.
- 2:35I know a lot of people are fighting the Blues or dealing
- 2:39with their family or preparing girding their loins for family
- 2:43drama. You know, I know this can be a
- 2:45very difficult and tough time of the year, so hang in there and
- 2:50smoke weed if you need to. I'm rather parched.
- 2:55Hey, Q, what's up? Happy holidays.
- 2:57Thanks so much. Dillinger compound has arrived.
- 3:03Several of our everydays are in the gym.
- 3:07I'm so glad you're here. Thank you.
- 3:08Happy Christmas Eve if you're celebrating.
- 3:10If you're not celebrating, that's OK too.
- 3:12I grew up Jewish. Like a little Jewish.
- 3:17I don't have a problem saying Merry Christmas.
- 3:19I love the holidays. I know again, they're hard for
- 3:22some people, but I always enjoy them.
- 3:24Flat spot record this year, what's up, what's up?
- 3:27All good in the hood. We are not.
- 3:30We're not done for the year. We have new stories going up,
- 3:34interviews to run next week, festival coverage coming.
- 3:37That's happened recently. I just posted a new review, an
- 3:40interview and a festival review all this afternoon.
- 3:43So lots to do in the ghost cult world.
- 3:48And Annette is here. Hello, Annette, and Merry
- 3:50Christmas to you and great to see you here.
- 3:53Thanks so much for being a supporter all day long, Scott.
- 3:56Dave is here, Julie is here, and my punk rock life is here.
- 4:01Always fun with the context. Jenna Hayes and Greg Pusciotto,
- 4:05Please don't say that. Please, Please, Greg, please
- 4:09don't. Please don't put your penis in
- 4:11crazy. I don't care how great it is.
- 4:14Oh my God, Greg, what? Fuck, Maybe he's got that Jerry
- 4:17Cantrell money now and he doesn't care, but it's
- 4:19definitely not the better lovers money.
- 4:21No one's picked up on it yet. Well, I mean, you know, it's
- 4:24been a tough week. There's a lot to talk about, so
- 4:26let's get into it. Again, as usual, the
- 4:29announcements and you know, again, these are, it just seems
- 4:34like at the end of every year there were just some
- 4:36heartbreaking, heartbreaking announcements.
- 4:46You know, there's just so much stuff that happened this week
- 4:49and obviously we're still reeling from a lot of crazy
- 4:51losses this year. I will likely do the biggest
- 4:58stories of the year on our website, but let's just get into
- 5:03a little bit of the things that have happened.
- 5:05I'm scared Dillinger. I'm scared just once again, I
- 5:11recently got diagnosed with ADHD and my brain is like a chicken
- 5:14inside of a computer CPU. They don't tell you Ritalin is
- 5:19actual meth. It's not like doing a whole
- 5:21bunch of meth like blue. I'm doing Blue Sky with Jesse
- 5:25Pinkman, but you know, it's like tiny doses of stimulant.
- 5:28So I'm still adjusting to it. I haven't been sleeping too
- 5:32well, but actually I'm not doing bad.
- 5:33I'm heading into this holiday with a full heart and open eyes.
- 5:37So, you know, it's been quite a year.
- 5:40A lot of people are doing a lot worse off than me, so I'm just
- 5:42grateful that's something you hear.
- 5:45Miss Asta's here. What's up?
- 5:46What's up? Gary Riddle, fish boy.
- 5:48We've got some regulars on the old TikTok.
- 5:52And Danny 2 ounce. Danny 2 oz is here.
- 5:57We've been here before. But yeah, so anyway, I'm still
- 6:00trying to figure out how all this works.
- 6:03And again, we just a little pre announcement.
- 6:07We did one last giveaway to celebrate the year.
- 6:12Check out TMZ. All right, all right, thanks,
- 6:15man. I don't know.
- 6:17It's really not ghost cult style.
- 6:19There's so much salacious stuff out there.
- 6:22I can leave it to lamb, go to metal.
- 6:24Sucks to do, but you're not. We're doing a giveaway.
- 6:27I have amassed a bunch of books. I even bought some to support my
- 6:31favorite underground authors. But we're doing the book
- 6:33giveaway. Hit the pen post at
- 6:35ghostcalledman.com. I'll link it in the description
- 6:38here as well during the show and sign up to our newsletter.
- 6:43And there's a bunch of other ways for additional entries.
- 6:45We're giving away the Ozzie memoir because I have two.
- 6:48We're giving away 2 Slayer books that you know, DX Ferris just
- 6:54put out a new edition of his massive Slayer biography that
- 6:57would include the reunion and and stuff as well as his amazing
- 7:0233 in the third book on Rain and blood, hopeful future ghost cult
- 7:06and relationally musical podcast interviewee DX Ferris.
- 7:11Also two other books by friends of the friends of ours as well
- 7:15as, you know, allies and supporters and people I wanted
- 7:17to support in my circle. Jessie Mae of Turkey Vulture and
- 7:21Owl Maker who's also a Blogger and and author.
- 7:27Metal metal head money money hacks for millennials and metal
- 7:31musicians, as well as mosh pit productivity by Mark Morris.
- 7:36You know him from Mark's Metal minute.
- 7:37He's been on the channel before. Jesse's been interviewed on the
- 7:40channel before and also been a guest.
- 7:42Pretty damn cool. Enter at the site to win some
- 7:48other tough ones this year, man. Just again, just your own big in
- 7:52this for effect Mcabrams a long time guitar player Jethro Tull
- 7:58passed away. I don't think he'd been touring
- 7:59with the band, you know, on all their iconic records.
- 8:04He's been a long time guitarist for the band.
- 8:07And you know, Ian Anderson has said recently like, yeah, Manson
- 8:13type shit. Possibly big music news
- 8:15incoming. Well, there's, there's Manson
- 8:18news in the show tonight. And I think, you know, again,
- 8:21release the Epstein files, actually, not just the redacted
- 8:24ones. Some crazy shit is about to
- 8:27happen. You know, we're going to have
- 8:28another music industry. Me too.
- 8:30And there's all kinds of stuff happening in the music business.
- 8:35Not all great to talk about. But D Boone, the legendary punk
- 8:40front man of the Minutemen, died 40 years ago this week.
- 8:47Minutemen is unbelievable. Mike Watt is, you know,
- 8:50obviously his fame has grown beyond that band, but such a
- 8:54good and unique and special punk rock band.
- 8:57Jimmy is here, Horse Torso is here.
- 8:59Good to see you. Good to see you, D Boone.
- 9:02I'm a big Minutemen fan, kind of like the Germs, very for like
- 9:06not forgotten, but just kind of not loved enough to me.
- 9:09That's my own two cents. Also, Betty Reed Saskin, who was
- 9:13the longest serving park Ranger in U.S. history, passed away at
- 9:18104 this week. She was a treasure by everyone
- 9:22that she came into contact with. And also this one hurts.
- 9:26James Ransom, you know him best from The Wire, but he's been
- 9:31there. A bunch of other stuff.
- 9:32He unfortunately took his own life.
- 9:34Again, I said this at the top Hollywood, music industry and
- 9:39every single person out there watching and, and on my team and
- 9:42everybody I work with, mental health, we are not exempt from
- 9:46mental health problems. I have my own and I've made some
- 9:50good progress this year. Yeah, Ransom, sorry, Boo, Boo.
- 9:55Thanks for the comment. So, yeah, just a tough one.
- 10:00If you watch The Wire, he was unforgettable.
- 10:02And then roll. And yeah, Lemmy's birthday would
- 10:06have been today. He would have turned 80, I'm
- 10:08sure. We no doubt would have been
- 10:09celebrating him. It's kind of hard to believe
- 10:11that he died 10 years ago in a couple of days.
- 10:15This is a photo if you're watching anywhere but TikTok
- 10:17that I took at Mayhem Festival when Motörhead was the second
- 10:22stage headliner under Slayer. It was an incredible time.
- 10:27And this is one of my favorite photos I've ever taken when I
- 10:30was a concert photographer. I am no longer and just, you
- 10:35know, life sucks since we lost Lemmy and Prince and George
- 10:39Michael and Bowie all in a row basically.
- 10:43Also Mike Siaka of rigor mortis would have had a birthday this
- 10:47week. Very sad.
- 10:49Also of ministry. People know him probably better
- 10:52from ministry than rigor mortis, but surely the rips that he put
- 10:55down and rigor mortis led him to get into ministry when I'll move
- 11:00from Chicago to Texas. Peter Chris celebrated her
- 11:04birthday this week. We had some crazy shit going on
- 11:07with KISS and Peter Chris to talk about.
- 11:10I wish Gene Simmons would stop talking about Ace Frehley or
- 11:13anything. Bro, stop.
- 11:19Just fucking stop. OK, so let's see what else?
- 11:24Chris Robinson of the Black Crow celebrated her birthday this
- 11:27week. Storm Morgan of Seether
- 11:30celebrated a birthday this week. Also Rick Nielsen the guitar
- 11:36riff Lord of Cheap Trick, Great guitar player.
- 11:39He celebrates a birthday this week.
- 11:42Dave Murray of Iron Maiden This is a great Photo by Omar Cordy,
- 11:45the co-owner of Ghost Cult when he shot Iron Maiden last year.
- 11:48Great shit. Rare Smile from Talis Jalapenan
- 11:53of Nightwish. I always stand Nightwish and Tom
- 11:57Thomas as long as he's not talking or playing his horrible
- 12:01Christmas theme Scrooge Mcduck album.
- 12:04Look it up, it's a real thing. It's horrifying.
- 12:06It's one of the one of the worst things I've ever heard in my
- 12:09whole fucking life. Like I absolutely can't.
- 12:15So anyway, happy birthday Thomas.
- 12:19Sudden Jared Lido. Jared Leto has a birthday this
- 12:23week. Speaking of horrifying people in
- 12:25Hollywood. But I did love Tron Eris and he
- 12:27was great. The only person I want playing
- 12:29in a motionless simulation or or alien or something is either
- 12:35Jared Leto or Keanu Reeves. Keanu Reeves 100 times the guy
- 12:40that Jared is. But anyway, Sudden Jared Leto's
- 12:43face. Lars Ulrich has a birthday the
- 12:45day after Christmas. Also, Chris Daughtry of Daughtry
- 12:50celebrates her birthday this week.
- 12:51We got more for next week, of course.
- 12:54Once again, a quick reminder, if you're feeling tipsy, feel free
- 12:58to drop a tip in the tip menu. Not our everydayers or our
- 13:00staff, but anybody else. If you're feeling good, I know
- 13:03it's the holidays and you spent a lot of money probably on
- 13:06presents. Shaka.
- 13:08So completely underrated. The Shredmaster, dude.
- 13:10Yeah, no one talks about him. And you know, obviously in
- 13:13ministry didn't really have many guitar solos, so he really, but
- 13:18he really helped like develop their sound that absolutely, you
- 13:22know, inspired and helped push bands like 9 Inch Nails and
- 13:28standing westward in a heavier, less pop direction.
- 13:31There's just no question that was the influence.
- 13:33But if you feel like dropping a tip and a tip, then you we
- 13:36appreciate it. Ghost Cult is not corporate
- 13:38sponsored. We do make some money from
- 13:40advertising it ghostcoltand.com and we don't monetize on
- 13:43Facebook. So you might be seeing, I'm
- 13:46sorry, monetize on on YouTube. You might be seeing some ads.
- 13:51Anywho, there's our cash app. There's all the things.
- 13:53Let's talk about some features this week.
- 13:55It goes coal and it's ladies to the front.
- 13:58Time to talk about like we've done quite a lot of interviews
- 14:02this year and pleased to say we've got more and more coming,
- 14:07not just weird lame white dudes. But anyway, if you're looking
- 14:11for a somehow last minute gift at almost 11:00 Eastern Time on
- 14:17Christmas Eve, you might be one of those people at last minute
- 14:20Buy stuff. Our holiday gift guide has all
- 14:24kinds of links and stuff to buy stuff online.
- 14:26You can e-mail gifts, gift cards and gift subscriptions and
- 14:30ticket discounts and things like that.
- 14:33So check that out. It's still good for the holidays
- 14:36this year. Also also, we ran our 2025 album
- 14:41of the year. Countdown is voted on by the
- 14:43staff of Ghost Called Ghost. Skeletal was the album of the
- 14:46year. I don't know a little Mystic
- 14:47Recordings, but check out the rest of our list.
- 14:49Let us know who we missed. Let us know in the comments who
- 14:52your favorite records were this year.
- 14:54Who were the best bands? What records are you looking
- 14:56forward to next year? We're probably going to have
- 14:58some content around a preview of the best music coming out next
- 15:04year and what bands are doing. We did a whole thing last year
- 15:07where I did like 100 band countdown of what like what
- 15:10every major band is doing or did or what's going on with them.
- 15:15So maybe we'll do that again. Also, we ran an interview with
- 15:20Brocardi. Brocardi is an up and coming
- 15:23rock artist from the UK, your own Justice Peterson, who is now
- 15:27stepped down from Ghost Coat. You can catch her work other
- 15:29places like New Noise and Mladic Magazine, but she interviewed
- 15:33Brocardi. It's super interesting to hear
- 15:35about Brocardi's artistic process and all the stuff that
- 15:38they're into. Also this week I ran my
- 15:42interview with Kate of Pupil Slicer, probably one of the best
- 15:45black and death metal math rock albums of the year.
- 15:49I'm sure Dillinger is a fan of Pupil Slicer.
- 15:52Oh Dylan, you didn't have to give us a tip, man.
- 15:54You're an everyday or shame shame.
- 15:56Yeah. Preview Nude may pop nice and
- 15:59Amigo the Devil dropped the new song this week.
- 16:01I think might be going even more DIY with his upcoming music, but
- 16:05I didn't have the story up yet. So.
- 16:07But amigo the Devil new music coming soon, Perhaps a whole new
- 16:10album. But Kate pupil slicer flesh work
- 16:13also strangely or not strangely, much more inspired by industrial
- 16:18metal like 9 Inch Nails and even Dillinger Escape Plan she
- 16:22mentioned. So it's a pretty good interview
- 16:24with Kate. And then just some more recent
- 16:26interviews are on. Don de Lamont interviewed Frail
- 16:29Gwen and Sean Killer new album out by them.
- 16:33Also Tom Osman, our managing editor of our reviews team
- 16:37interviewed Primitive Man. Primitive Man is like one of the
- 16:39OG essential girls called artists that we've always
- 16:43covered and I'm a huge fan. I often refer to them as the
- 16:46heaviest band in the world, and they just might be, if such a
- 16:50thing interest you. Some people don't want heavy
- 16:52music. What else?
- 16:54What else? Glacially musical broadcast with
- 16:56this Cowboys From Hell inspired cover of Me, Don and Nick
- 17:00Cameron who turned shout out to Nick for turning 50.
- 17:03This week. We continue our series on
- 17:08finally our final episode. Then Nick will be praising
- 17:12Yeshua on Queen's Right. He has not enjoyed this series
- 17:16whatsoever. I have rather enjoyed it a lot
- 17:18because Queen's Right was a very important band to high school
- 17:20and junior high school Kefi. Especially high school Kefi
- 17:23loves Operation line climate empire.
- 17:26I don't remember liking promised Land because I was already like
- 17:29into Alice In Chains and Soundgarden and other things and
- 17:33black metal was starting to happen for me and I seem to
- 17:36remember not loving that record. But I'm going to give it a fair
- 17:39shot and check it out also also. So check that out.
- 17:44Give us a sub over there. Commented on the Lamb of God
- 17:47post Nice work. Thanks, Tom.
- 17:49Appreciate you. Appreciate you checking in.
- 17:52Yeah, that's absurd. We're going to talk about that
- 17:54in one second, man. Just absolutely bananas.
- 17:56If you subscribe to us on TikTok or Instagram or YouTube or any
- 18:00of these platforms where you have a public profile, I'll be
- 18:03happy to support you. If you've got a band, DM me some
- 18:06music. We'll check it out and so forth
- 18:09and so forth. All right, here we go.
- 18:11It's time for the news rundown. I'll take another sip.
- 18:13I drank so much coffee today. And the Zoomies, so much coffee.
- 18:22I need to temper it down with some liquid time to talk about
- 18:27metal festivals. I will then begin this again.
- 18:30Let's just take a take a quick stroll through metal festivals
- 18:33once again. I'm hoping Metal meeting has
- 18:34announced their first big bands for next year.
- 18:37Our reviews are running this week coming Blood Fire, Death,
- 18:41the Tribute to Bathory, Flocks with Jets and Death Angel, who
- 18:43just wrapped up a tour, the Crown farewell tour, Shamash,
- 18:49Darbaza, Fordaris, I mean, so many killer bands.
- 18:55Hey, King, what's up, brother? Merry Christmas.
- 18:57I appreciate you being here. Thanks for checking this out.
- 19:00One of these days, King, we're going to run into you at a show.
- 19:03We're going to run into you. I'm going to let you know what,
- 19:05once again, Mojave Experience is coming up this March, March 20th
- 19:09and 21st. We did a huge extensive rundown
- 19:12of the whole lineup. After the holidays.
- 19:14I'm going to catch up with Patrick, who's also the front
- 19:16man of volume. They just wrapped up a tour.
- 19:20And thanks again, Dillinger. Much appreciated, man.
- 19:24And thanks again, King. Much appreciated for checking
- 19:26in. So yeah, Mojave experience.
- 19:28I'm going to catch up with Patrick to a big interview with
- 19:30him, talk about booking shows and bands and how great this
- 19:34festival is going to be. And we will also be there also
- 19:38also Milwaukee Meadowfest added bands like Suicidal Tendencies
- 19:41and Pallbearer. They also drop their whole
- 19:45lineup daytime splits, but there's more bands coming.
- 19:48Yup. DNA Lounge.
- 19:49I have that coming up there with a Parabellum.
- 19:51Sick, bro. Sick, sick, sick.
- 19:54I might make it. We'll see.
- 19:56I think I will probably still be in a town, but we'll see.
- 20:01I would like to see Nefarious with the new singer and we'll
- 20:04talk about that. Desert Fast London has announced
- 20:07their whole lineup. Clutch Green Lum Hermano the
- 20:09Sword Face Face Face, face, face, face.
- 20:13Earth Lifts, Truck Fighters. This is a lot of bands I've
- 20:15interviewed before. Church of the Cosmic Skull,
- 20:18Noam, Blackwater, Holy Light, Love them.
- 20:20Rubber snake charmers, Witch Hazel steak in human waste,
- 20:24zigzags, Howling giant, Death Club.
- 20:26Many many many many more. That looks rad.
- 20:29Maybe we'll get to cover another desert Fest.
- 20:31Also another festival we've covered quite a few times is
- 20:34Radar Festival in the UK, Thy Artist Murdered, Chelsea, Grand
- 20:39Skindrid, Northland, Protest, the Hero, Heart of a Coward,
- 20:43Animals As Leaders, Voyager, Pineapple Thief, Employed to
- 20:46Serve and many more that looks killer for early July in the UK.
- 20:54Also Frontiers at Sorella is an Italian label.
- 20:57We've covered a lot of stuff from them, done a lot of
- 20:59interviews with their artists. They usually have a lot of
- 21:01progressive rock and metal people as well as heavy metal
- 21:05and power metal. But they have their own festival
- 21:07taking place in Italy and Mickey Thomas's Starship, AKA Jefferson
- 21:13Starship featuring Mickey Thomas.
- 21:16They can't call it Jefferson anymore because they want the
- 21:18original people. They are headlining the festival
- 21:21along with Striper. And we know that Michael Sweet
- 21:24of Striper is battling a form of cancer again, but he believes
- 21:27he's going to make a full comeback.
- 21:29But yeah, I was like, I pride myself on knowing a lot of
- 21:32minutiae about music and stuff. And I was like, Mickey Thomas,
- 21:36why do I know who that guy is? And he's been there for, like,
- 21:38you know, 30 years, 35 years. But Mickey Thomas is the guy who
- 21:42used to be an Elvin Bishop. So the song you hear is like,
- 21:45hey, child songs of the 70s, a fooled around and fell in love.
- 21:50That's Mickey Thomas, who went on to join Starship.
- 21:55And he did. We built this city and
- 21:57everything. Crazy shit.
- 22:00Craig Caruso is passing by. What's up Craig?
- 22:02I'm going to give you a shout out in a few minutes because you
- 22:04are my homie. You are my ace.
- 22:07That's all the festival news for now.
- 22:08It's going to be a ton of festival stuff getting announced
- 22:11soon. For 2026, Foo Fighters have
- 22:15announced the one off show at the Kia Forum.
- 22:17The the comeback and the the the cleaning clean slating of David
- 22:21Grohl continues with their upcoming new album.
- 22:24They're doing the benefit Hope United for the Hope Mission, the
- 22:29Hope Mission in LA Mission, but Kia Forum, Foo Fighters, I'm
- 22:34pretty sure it's a Dave's birthday show and good times for
- 22:38a good cause. Dave often comes out in
- 22:40barbecues for first responders and homeless, donates profits
- 22:46for things he doesn't give away to Hope United.
- 22:48So that's his big charity again. Summer in 99 and beyond,
- 22:53Festival, Creed, Limp Bizkit, Cypress Hill, Bush.
- 22:59What fucking year is this? I don't want to go to this.
- 23:02This is in July and Seven Dust is on the bill.
- 23:05Also with Kitty and Puddle of Mudda.
- 23:08We'll see what Puddle of Mudda does.
- 23:10Also Mammoth the Wolf in Halen Candle Box still out there doing
- 23:17the farewell tour for two years. Hoobastank.
- 23:20Fun stuff, fun stuff. Anyway, holiday and fire is also
- 23:25this weekend. It's kind of like a one off
- 23:27macabre and bones at Reggie's in Texas.
- 23:30If you're in the I'm sorry in Chicago.
- 23:32If you're in the Chicago area at Reggie's, get down there.
- 23:37Also this fall, this winter is the US and Canada.
- 23:41So North American tour of Lord of the Lost, The Birthday
- 23:45Massacre and indescribably Wednesday 13 is under the
- 23:48Birthday Massacre. Decent band live.
- 23:51Never understood their appeal beyond the kind of industrial
- 23:54metal people. So this is a very bizarre bill.
- 23:57I know Wednesday 13 and Laura Veloster on the same label and
- 24:01had the same touring booking agent and Birthday Massacre
- 24:04again, don't think that fans of either of the other two bands
- 24:07are going to like them much, but you know, they're solid live.
- 24:10Good for them. But yeah, we should be covering
- 24:12this tour coming soon. Also.
- 24:15Also Lacuna Coil tickets are on. I mean, Wednesday is so much
- 24:18better dude. And honestly Lord of the Lost is
- 24:20fun but I think they haven't really peaked yet in the USI
- 24:25kind of feel like they're the folk metal version of Electric
- 24:28Callboy where the kite is outliving the I don't want to
- 24:32say the talent, but the music so far for me.
- 24:35But they're fun. Live Lacuna Coil tickets on sale
- 24:38now we know they have a very varied and interesting bill that
- 24:43starts in March and goes all the way through the through the
- 24:45beginning of May again, here's that show.
- 24:49King Nefarious, Nukem Trencher and Parabellum at DNA Lounge,
- 24:54which is officially around the corner from my house, but if I'm
- 24:57not home, I cannot get there with Buds Podcast this year.
- 25:00Oxide, another homie of mine. I think I gave Melissa my Oxide
- 25:06shirt. Fishy Boy is here.
- 25:09That's fun. That's a fun name.
- 25:10You got a fun name. You got a fun name and Wednesday
- 25:12is so much better. But you know what?
- 25:14I don't want to bash on bands that just don't do it for me.
- 25:17They're not bad, they just don't do it for me.
- 25:18Maybe I'm missing something. There's the more Manson dates
- 25:22got added here with Vows. Good for Vows to get on such a
- 25:25big tour. Sonic Temple is one of them.
- 25:28I think for Manson, he's going to add even more dates.
- 25:32I believe we're going to get news soon about that one.
- 25:35Assassination Under God volume to album coming soon from
- 25:39Nuclear Blast. So Wednesday during the Murder
- 25:42Dolls cover tour was awesome. Yeah man shout out to Wednesday
- 25:45for keeping that flag flying. A lot of Joey Love this last
- 25:48year from Sensanum and Murder Dolls type stuff on tour like a
- 25:54Murder doll set and Wednesday set and a few other things.
- 26:00Or can you smell the numerous in the dark?
- 26:02Holy Junior High School Kifi Summer of hits one off show and
- 26:06perhaps there will be more taking place in the UK with
- 26:10Peter Hook and the Light somehow opening for OMD and a certain
- 26:14ratio. That's insane.
- 26:17We've covered Peter Hook and the Light and a certain ratio.
- 26:19I would love to cover OMD so parents will get out there.
- 26:22I don't know what this photo is with like a tiger and the OMD
- 26:25guys. I don't know what it's is it a
- 26:28British lion? Is that what it is?
- 26:29I don't know, I'm confused. I see Big Ben behind them.
- 26:33Like who made this? What fever dream that gave us
- 26:35this poster. Holy shit bro bird again.
- 26:44Your mom? Clock tours on single now in
- 26:46Monmouth and Def Clock with Castle Rat opening.
- 26:49Holy shit. I could see some Castle Rat fans
- 26:53leaving after Castle Rat but it should be fun.
- 26:57Like I said, we did many interviews the last few years
- 27:00with Brendan Small and Gene Hoagland of Def Clock talking a
- 27:05lot about those tours. War On Women, which is one of
- 27:08the best punk rock bands around right now, is doing a Time Under
- 27:12Tension tour in March with Oceanator opening almost every
- 27:16show except for a big sort of festival type things.
- 27:21They're doing War on Women incredible band live and we'd
- 27:24love to see more of them. All right, we are like at the
- 27:28halfway point of the show. I'm getting angry again, even
- 27:32though I had a pizza earlier. So I really need to hook it
- 27:36through the rest of this before I cancel.
- 27:39But you know, let's talk about Fable Beard for a second.
- 27:42So, you know, people have been commenting about how awesome my
- 27:45beard is and all the credit kind of goes to Fable Beard and my
- 27:48awesome girlfriend Melissa for turning me on to it.
- 27:51And I'm going to show off some new Fable Beard products I have
- 27:56in time for the holiday. I think people have seen me talk
- 27:59about the beard washes. This is the fit the beard bomb,
- 28:03the wizard, which is my favorite scent.
- 28:06I probably have all of them, but I wanted to try some new ones
- 28:09and and Melissa wanted to have some new ones for me.
- 28:11I also have the barkeep, which is unscented because you know, I
- 28:15don't want to offend people who are sensitive to smells if they
- 28:18have to hug me, which this stuff is really good, but also I got
- 28:22some some of their beard oils finally, and I do believe I have
- 28:25a bearded comb here. So I believe which one is this?
- 28:31This is the villager and the other one is the how the
- 28:35Christmas scent right, the wreath Wrangler.
- 28:39So let's try one of these and I think I like both of them.
- 28:42The smell of both is pretty good.
- 28:44Let's see that's a good one. The villager.
- 28:50So let's do the wreath Wrangler since we're in the Christmas
- 28:52spirit on Christmas Eve. That's really nice.
- 28:58So my beard routine, I will wash my face obviously everyday.
- 29:04I use the Co wash with my, you know, sometimes I used to do
- 29:08like a Trader Joe's tea tree shampoo in my beard, which was
- 29:13nice for a while to keep it smooth and soft, but it's
- 29:15getting just very full and nice looking.
- 29:17I don't know that I can ever grow like an absolute long
- 29:21banger beard, but you know, it's pretty fun.
- 29:25Rather than coat my hands with the bomb the beard oil, I'm
- 29:28going to put it on my my beard and brush it in.
- 29:34It's real nice. I smell like a candle shop right
- 29:36now, like a Yankee Candle at Christmas time.
- 29:41Very nice. If you want to hook your beard
- 29:43up the way I just did, you can check out our link in the
- 29:46description for $10 off your next order and we get free.
- 29:52They will be of merch with every order you make.
- 29:54So that's ran for us. Affiliate deals for the win.
- 29:58Hopefully some more money and affiliate deals next year.
- 30:01Also, if you see ads at ghostcalledman.com, that's
- 30:03because of Lamb Goat. Lamb Goat is the much meaner
- 30:06version of ghost cult. They will definitely post the
- 30:09TMZ Jenna Hayes, Greg Pucciano information, Jesus.
- 30:15But yeah, Lamb goat, whenever you see ads, that's yeah, that's
- 30:21right. I I still have the screen in big
- 30:24end, so I didn't do this. Boom, there I am.
- 30:28Hey, so I just brushed in the beard oil into my face.
- 30:31I'm going to do some like stand alone videos of the beard tests.
- 30:35But yes, lamb goat, I always forget.
- 30:38Look at my awesome beard if you want to have an awesome beard
- 30:40like I do. Thanks, Melissa for being like
- 30:42no one can see you dumb ass. No, she wasn't.
- 30:44But yeah, lamb goat, check out our ads there.
- 30:48Also again, Caruso apps stopped by on TikTok a little earlier.
- 30:51If you've gotten a professional business and you need an app or
- 30:55you need website care or hosting or break under glass emergency,
- 30:59I would not have a business if it was not for Craig.
- 31:02Craig Caruso is like my Jiminy Cricket for a business that
- 31:07depends on the Internet and a website so much.
- 31:09And I feel extremely lucky to work with him and he's very
- 31:14reasonable actually. So he has helped me out more
- 31:16times than I can get. And then again, you're watching
- 31:20this. I don't know how much longer
- 31:21we're going to be partnered up with Stream Yard, but as of now
- 31:24we're still using Stream Yard. I'm exploring some other things
- 31:27for 2026. But in the meantime, if you want
- 31:31to stream to all your locations except TikTok at the same time,
- 31:35check out Stream Yard. The link in our bio description
- 31:39and we're on all the social things.
- 31:41And you know, if you're watching this on YouTube, which most of
- 31:43you are, go over and hit up Ghost called Kifi 666.
- 31:47That's going to become our second channel.
- 31:50That was originally my personal channel, which it will have some
- 31:52personal and different content there.
- 31:54But I think we're going to move the live streams only there in
- 31:5626 because YouTube doesn't understand yet any skull bashers
- 32:01pass by. YouTube still doesn't understand
- 32:04how like live streams are not the same as long form videos.
- 32:07So if you're really good at one, they penalize you for the other.
- 32:10It's it's kind of dumb. I'm going to be honest.
- 32:12I love being on YouTube and I really appreciate the platform,
- 32:15but what a pain in the ass. OK, here we go on to the rest of
- 32:24the news and so much drama. So much drama this week.
- 32:29First things first, Spotify was hit.
- 32:34I mean, this has been such a black eye year for Spotify.
- 32:37I still appreciate the platform, but you know, they have just
- 32:41been taking a beating and now they were hacked.
- 32:44I don't know if you know about this.
- 32:46They were 100% hacked by Anna. Anna's archive, which is like an
- 32:54Internet piracy group has scraped 300 terabytes of data
- 32:59and music from the platform, like 90% of all the music and
- 33:05they're going to just upload it. Spotify confirm to text tech
- 33:09crunch that they identified and disabled the accounts involved
- 33:12in the scraping, but it's done. It's already too late.
- 33:16It's kind of stupid that it's so late.
- 33:19Like they didn't catch it. So supposedly text based media
- 33:25such as books and papers is what NS archive usually does.
- 33:29You know, they could have hacked all of your user info,
- 33:32including, you know, your accounts.
- 33:34They also, but like if they're going to release all the music,
- 33:37I don't know that that hurts Spotify as much as it hurts the
- 33:40artist, but I guess you're not getting paid anyway.
- 33:44So people who would never use Spotify will have an opportunity
- 33:46to have a complete clone of up to a certain point of all the
- 33:50Spotify music that has ever existed.
- 33:52But again, Spotify, I think there's something like 100,000
- 33:55new songs a week put on Spotify by bands and independent artists
- 33:59and everything, and they really don't pay.
- 34:01So maybe this will make Spotify bend to some new powers, but I
- 34:07doubt it. Highly pirating is making a
- 34:10comeback. I know King, I know.
- 34:13I never thought it would happen again.
- 34:16Let me tell you one more time for those in the back of the
- 34:19room. I know it's Lars's birthday the
- 34:22day after Christmas, and we just talked about that.
- 34:24But Lars was 100% right about what was going to happen because
- 34:28of Master. The wrong thing was chasing
- 34:30after loyal Metallica fans. But he was right.
- 34:34He was 100% right. And I did a video on this not
- 34:37that long ago if you want to reference it.
- 34:40Also, StubHub mistakenly uploaded a photo of Lamb of God
- 34:45and promoted a Christian event in Spartanburg, SC as a Lamb of
- 34:49God event. Missed the Limewire days.
- 34:54Yeah, I hear you. Remember when you used to like
- 34:57to ask for the new Pearl Jam and you got 7 married?
- 34:59Three. I don't miss that.
- 35:02But yeah, there was there was something about those days.
- 35:04And Dillinger, I support that. I'm telling you, fuck Spotify.
- 35:08So Dylan, Lamb of God, like I understand that they chose that
- 35:12name. Their previous name was Burn the
- 35:14Priest. There's no way they would have
- 35:16become as big a successful band with the name Burn the Priest.
- 35:20So they changed their name to Lamb of God because it was
- 35:22equally subversive and not as horrible sounding.
- 35:25And this has happened before, like 10 years ago, Five years
- 35:27ago, every few years, someone takes the Lamb of God logo and
- 35:31puts it on a Christian flyer for a church event.
- 35:35And so StubHub had a post, an apology to both Lamb of God and
- 35:40this Christian event for the confusion.
- 35:43There's one bunch of balloon heads.
- 35:45You know what a bunch of dummies, I don't know.
- 35:49Anyway, the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium complex, the
- 35:53Spartanburg is, you know, it's where South Carolina State is.
- 35:56It's like the third or fourth largest city in South Carolina.
- 36:00And they do, they did have a metal club there for a long
- 36:03time. And I think Niall is from that,
- 36:06that area of the band Nile, who I love a lot.
- 36:09But yeah, just so fucking weird. Spotify keeps raising the art,
- 36:13the prices, and they don't even pay the artist shit.
- 36:16I mean, there's so there's so much to unpack about Spotify.
- 36:20I did a thing on this a couple of weeks ago.
- 36:22I'll just say one last thing about it.
- 36:24Yes, UK ban dynamic pricing. We had that last week on the
- 36:27show Dillinger. We'll see if it happens here.
- 36:30Live Nation, of course, says the right thing that you need to,
- 36:33you know, we support them. But just came just to go back
- 36:36for a second on your thing about Spotify.
- 36:38I did a whole thing on this. Spotify has a sub stack where
- 36:42they release all their data and blogs every year and they do,
- 36:47they have like year to year data.
- 36:48They don't have 2025 because they're still compiling the
- 36:51data, but also they had all the 2024 data and Spotify like threw
- 36:55their balls on the table, took their unzip, they're flying,
- 36:59laid it all out and said not only did Spotify pay more than
- 37:02anyone else, the other streaming services are afraid to tell you
- 37:06how little they pay because they don't pay shit.
- 37:08Now again, why did the music industry collude with Spotify
- 37:12and Apple to shut out artists when only the top 3 or 4% of
- 37:18artists really make a living, could make a living off of their
- 37:21streaming and the artists that do get paid off the streaming
- 37:23don't need it. Metallica sells enough music
- 37:26themselves on metallica.com and concert tickets and merch that
- 37:29they don't need Spotify. That's an extra revenue stream
- 37:32for them. You know, if you want to take it
- 37:35in terms of rock and metal. So I did a whole thing on this
- 37:38where Rick Biano talked about how metal is dead or metal heads
- 37:42are leaving metal because they're not streaming.
- 37:44Numbers are not big for metal bands outside of the big legacy
- 37:47bands that used to sell physical records.
- 37:49And I was like, no, Rick Biano is dumb because measuring
- 37:52underground music mostly against Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift is
- 37:57moronic and stupid because I love Rick but he's a goddamn
- 38:00boomer. Anyway, there we go.
- 38:04And then so also also, I posted this story on TikTok and on
- 38:11Instagram and I love this. I got an auto response from
- 38:17StubHub about the story. Now I want to tell you I am by
- 38:20trade a social media manager and strategist so I know when
- 38:24bullshit is up, you know? So so OK, it's a canned
- 38:28response. Hello there.
- 38:30We regret the trouble this is causing you.
- 38:32You are welcome to send us Adm and we'll talk discuss it
- 38:36further about them. They must be getting in and
- 38:39inundated by either Christian people mad at Lamb of God or
- 38:43Lamb of God fans pissed. This is hilarious.
- 38:46I don't, you know, I don't expect, you know, I just tagged
- 38:50StubHub because I want people who follow StubHub to see this
- 38:53story and people follow Lamb of God to see this story.
- 38:57And I don't care who is mad about it, but like just what it
- 39:01is. What?
- 39:02OK, Anyway, enough about that. More, more stories.
- 39:07This is an interesting one too. Here's another one.
- 39:11Mastodon has their own studio in Atlanta, West End Recording,
- 39:14where they rehearse and record it and make their albums.
- 39:17They made Hutched and Grimm, their last album with Brett
- 39:20Hynes, who died over the summer in July, very sad.
- 39:22And they made their new ads of yet unannounced unreleased album
- 39:27on this old on this board. And they are selling their DDA
- 39:30profiler recording studio desk for $7000.
- 39:34I think you have to pick it up from them in Atlanta in little 5
- 39:39points and super interesting. Literally Bill Kelly here posted
- 39:45the posted the postings. That's kind of interesting,
- 39:48right? In Atlanta, you know, you could
- 39:50own a piece of Mastodon history. I don't think Brent worked at
- 39:55all on their new record. That's why the announcement was
- 39:57when he was leaving. Which sucks, but, you know,
- 40:01there you go. IQ in the Black Label.
- 40:04Somebody poke or commented on one of our posts.
- 40:06That's amazing. So, yeah, very fun.
- 40:08Andrex you. I've been talking about this for
- 40:10years, years and years. Where is the new Anthrax?
- 40:13Anthrax new record is done. Anthrax new record has a release
- 40:16date. Anthrax has recorded a music
- 40:19video for their upcoming new single.
- 40:23And I could not be more stoked. I know John Bush played in New
- 40:26York City last weekend, and Frank Bello was there and my
- 40:29partner was there, and Charlie Benante came out in Chicago.
- 40:33And the Anthrax guys, I believe record, you know, shot their new
- 40:38music video on the East Coast because it was something about
- 40:40breaking the cold and snow. So Midwest or East Coast Chicago
- 40:43or, you know, PA or New York. I know Frankie Bello still lives
- 40:47in the New York area. So fun times Insane Clown Posse
- 40:52took on Gore on Hot Ones. I'm sure you're a fan of the Hot
- 40:57Ones competition wing eating show.
- 41:00We've done hot sauce taste tests on the channel and and his
- 41:04podcasts and it was a lot of fun watching them grill each other
- 41:08and they seem to like each other, which was kind of funny.
- 41:15Great job everybody. Gore's had a banger of the year.
- 41:19Shout out to my man John Freeman, who's their publicist.
- 41:21We're buddies. Gorgeous, had a phenomenal,
- 41:24phenomenal year. Tours and they got more touring
- 41:27coming up next year. The big new record, new, you
- 41:34know, a new multimedia release, a graphic novel, a coffee table
- 41:37book, an art exhibition. Don is here Talking the talk
- 41:42with Don is here. What's up Don?
- 41:44I talked about your Frail interview earlier and about I
- 41:47showed the new glacially Cowboys from Helicopter.
- 41:50Melissa and I were listening to Pantera later.
- 41:52I was learning my lady on the magic of Pantera CP.
- 42:02You know there. It's weird.
- 42:04In terms of fandoms, ICP fans and and their band are less
- 42:07bizarre than you think. I saw them a little bit for the
- 42:11second time only ever riot fix 2023.
- 42:14I don't think Osborn's grandson was the one day Aston Villa
- 42:18mascot for the slaughter that they took of beating versus Man
- 42:24U. And just to talk for a second
- 42:26about, I mean, he really looks like Kelly and and obviously
- 42:29looks like Ozzy a little bit and that's her her son with Sid from
- 42:33Slipknot. I want to talk for a second
- 42:35about skillet fans make ICP look, well, evangelists in
- 42:40general, bro, like evangelicals are crazy.
- 42:44You know, Kelly Osbourne had a go to social media this week.
- 42:47People are just dogging her, just absolutely dogging her.
- 42:51Like, you don't look good, You don't look well.
- 42:53And she's like, I am not well. My father died.
- 42:55He was my whole world. He was my best friend.
- 42:57And he's dead. And I have to get up every day
- 42:59and be a mom and a daughter and a sister and a wife and figure
- 43:04out my place in the world where my dad is not alive anymore.
- 43:07They were not ready. They were not prepared.
- 43:09They did not think this like, this could happen despite his,
- 43:12you know, lack of well-being the last few years.
- 43:15And I just think, like, again, man, be gentle on social media.
- 43:18Kelly Osbourne may be in the spotlight.
- 43:20She might be an international, internationally known celebrity,
- 43:24but like, she's also a human being.
- 43:27And we've been watching the BTK, the daughter of the BTK on
- 43:33Netflix. Brilliant and unbelievable.
- 43:36And this guy was much more evil than you can even imagine.
- 43:39Murders are only part of the fact that this guy's an evil son
- 43:42of a bitch. What's up, Rob?
- 43:44Merko is here. We just followed you back
- 43:46recently, Rob. And she, her life is literally
- 43:50ruined by social media piercing. Not always here.
- 43:53Sup, buddy. Just literally just ruined by
- 44:00just ruined by, you know, her life is ruined by social media
- 44:05and people hounding telling her she should die.
- 44:08Dylan, there is a Man U fan. That was a terrible match.
- 44:11Yeah. You know, I've never been a
- 44:13soccer fan. I can't lie.
- 44:14I like American football. My team is horrible.
- 44:18Giants will probably win and not even get the number one pick
- 44:20versus the Raiders. I would love to see them hire
- 44:22the former Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce, but my team
- 44:25sucks. Waiting for, you know, hockey
- 44:27season. Knicks jury's out.
- 44:31I'm very slow to believe in them and baseball season is four
- 44:35months away. All right, last week as we last
- 44:41week as we went to press live Fishbone dropped their cover of
- 44:47them bones one take live cover and video of them bones, bias
- 44:52and chains. Just a super fun job of doing
- 44:57that cover. That was for the MO Pop Awards.
- 44:59Back in 2021, the Nelson Chase was honored with the MO Pop
- 45:03Founders Award. King says.
- 45:06The Bears. The Bears.
- 45:09But yeah, Fishbone, man, what a great job.
- 45:11Yeah, we had a recent interview where Omar interviewed Angela
- 45:14Moore. Great new album out now.
- 45:16Stockholm Syndrome. Another band having a banner of
- 45:20the year. And I'm looking forward to more
- 45:21Fishbone jams next year. The this story continues to get
- 45:26weird. Wayne Static and Turner Ray were
- 45:29making a documentary about their life and their love life when
- 45:32Wayne died and then Tara died. Matt Zane of Society 1, the porn
- 45:37actor, director and sort of quasi metal singer is in
- 45:41possession of this stuff, this material, this these this
- 45:45archival footage he helped make and shoot.
- 45:47And he was like, oh, I'm putting this documentary out.
- 45:50And he's been like leaking stuff over time.
- 45:52And nobody, I think, took it very seriously that this was
- 45:54going to happen. And then the family filed the
- 45:59cease and desist and what Matt did.
- 46:02And I'm not knocking Matt because Matt, Matt as a defense
- 46:06of himself, put out a statement from terrorist former roommate
- 46:09and best friend, who I think is also an ex adult actress.
- 46:12Well, it's all coming back to porn in this episode, isn't it,
- 46:14Dave? And Dillinger and Tim, Dave and
- 46:19and Don, her friend said like, oh, they wanted this thing to be
- 46:24made and come out. That's not a defense of I don't
- 46:27own this material that was recorded.
- 46:29And the family absolutely has intellectual rights of, of
- 46:33static X and Wayne solo stuff. And you need to cooperate with
- 46:37them to get this thing made. You can't just be like, I'm
- 46:40putting it out. It seems very self-serving and
- 46:43very sad. Dillinger compound says slayed
- 46:47the fishbone. Slayed the cover fishbone hidden
- 46:50out of the park. I agree they absolutely did.
- 46:52Ebenezer that is passing by. It's nice to see all all the
- 46:55homies passing through. Super nice close enemies.
- 47:01Which is the Rock Super group featuring Tom Hamilton of AR
- 47:04Smith and members of Barry Manilow's band and Rod Stewart's
- 47:08band and a bunch of other rockers, will release their
- 47:10debut album in the spring. They've already booked a couple
- 47:13of shows and it looks like they're going to be doing some
- 47:15more touring. You know, Jury is still out.
- 47:18If Aerosmith will ever play a farewell show or tour or
- 47:22residency, I really don't see it.
- 47:24But Tom is in good health. And I used to see Tom all the
- 47:28time, used to take his sons to black metal and death metal
- 47:31shows when I lived in Boston. Did you know I lived in Boston?
- 47:34Don does. And now for some more Peter
- 47:38Chris news. So not only did Peter Chris
- 47:40celebrate a birthday this week, Peter Chris has been has invited
- 47:43some controversy. Here's what happened with Peter.
- 47:48Peter's new album came out last week.
- 47:50I've heard a little of it. I like what I heard.
- 47:52He's 80, you know, whatever have high expectations for Peter
- 47:59Chris solo album at 80 years old.
- 48:01The last record was like 10 years ago.
- 48:03The record before that was 13 years ago or something.
- 48:06And his record label, he put this out with the band Camp Page
- 48:12where they were asking like the album was not really available
- 48:15for streaming and it was for $1000 for digital.
- 48:20Now they was it really $1000? They took that down.
- 48:23Peter then had to make a statement saying please don't
- 48:26buy the record off of band camp or even listen to it on Band
- 48:28Camp. They had no right to do that.
- 48:31All the, you know, you can stream it here and there.
- 48:34It's not, it's not on certain things like Apple Music, but
- 48:37it's certainly not $1000 to get a digital.
- 48:39Every CD or vinyl bot will come with a free digital download.
- 48:44But just like, what the fuck? We saw this happen this year
- 48:48with Dark Angel, who I love, and I actually really love that
- 48:52record and I don't know what everybody was talking about that
- 48:54it was bad because they didn't hear it because it's not on
- 48:56streaming except the one song. So they heard the one song and
- 48:59they judged the whole album on one song.
- 49:02I have my copy at home and I've listened to it.
- 49:04It's awesome. It has some disadvantages.
- 49:08We've seen this where not the recent Zakwob Live album, but
- 49:12the one before that that they did with Magnetic Eye Records
- 49:15Live was like only available on vinyl, limited edition on CD and
- 49:20a big bundle and then not digitally originally was like
- 49:24$1000 and then it was like $666 and then it's still not on
- 49:29streaming. But like, you know, Zach has
- 49:31diehard fans who will pay any amount of money to get their
- 49:34Zach bill. I wonder if he was talking to
- 49:37Vinnie Vincent. I know that $225 one song CD
- 49:42that's a glacially musical podcast topic there.
- 49:44King if you want to subscribe to that Channel if you're not
- 49:46already, just a reminder because part of our book giveaway is the
- 49:51Slayer book, the 266 and two third of metal band Murphy by
- 49:56our friend and yours DX Ferris. But that audio book is out now
- 49:59on band Cam for a lot cheaper than $1000 and you can win a
- 50:04copy of that book. Both the 1st and 2nd place prize
- 50:08winners will could get a copy of that book if you win that
- 50:11contest. Giveaway is going to go until
- 50:13the end of January. I didn't want to talk about
- 50:17this. So Coalesce is a band I have
- 50:19liked for a long time. Really, you know, saw them live,
- 50:22really appreciated them. They reunited.
- 50:24And so their long running band, their, their guitar player, Jess
- 50:28Stenninger, who was a college professor, was accused of an
- 50:32inappropriate relationship with a student.
- 50:34And the band made a statement. And the Long story short of it,
- 50:38our friends at Lamb Goat, actually, this is what they do.
- 50:40They posted this thing and they defended Jess and defended the
- 50:46same, defended their guy. And apparently then the victim
- 50:50was getting like harassed on Reddit and Instagram and docs
- 50:54and all these things and they were like backing they back
- 50:58their guy. There's nothing he did wrong and
- 51:00we're going to release like 2 weeks worth of emails.
- 51:03And then there the victim came out and said it's a lot more
- 51:07than two weeks of emails. It's months and months of
- 51:10emails. And they're going to take this
- 51:11approach and I'm still getting slaughtered by fans and people
- 51:14coming for me. I'm going to release all the
- 51:16emails. And you can make up your own
- 51:17mind about how inappropriate this is.
- 51:19So this is gross. They're not kicking them out of
- 51:22the band. That's fine.
- 51:24But like, you know, it doesn't seem like he's been completely
- 51:27honest and they don't have all the facts to make a
- 51:30determination about this. So what a mess.
- 51:35You know, just what a mess. Anyway, I tend to believe all
- 51:40victims, but that's me. And that's all the news.
- 51:43And there's no news on Friday for another couple of weeks.
- 51:46But in the meantime, it's time for the mailbag.
- 51:48So I'm going to bust out a couple of things from my mailbag
- 51:51before we end the show in a very reasonable amount of time.
- 51:54I did quite a bit of spending on myself.
- 51:56I treated myself treat, yo. So let's put the let's put me
- 52:00back on the screen here. Hey yo, I can't even get rid of
- 52:03this all together. Boom.
- 52:06For Black Friday, there were a lot of fantastic sales and in
- 52:11between Black Friday and the last Band Camp Friday of the
- 52:14year, maybe the last Band Camp Friday ever.
- 52:16I wanted to support artists I like, not just mainstream ones.
- 52:20Some I did and a lot of underground labels that I like
- 52:24and we work with and and do stuff and I do get a lot of
- 52:27music sent to me for free. It's just like Almost Famous.
- 52:30You'll never make a lot of money, but you will get free
- 52:32records from the record industry and it's usually not a physical
- 52:34record. It's hard to get physical
- 52:36records sent to you. I did get that Smashing Pumpkins
- 52:39box set which that content is coming soon.
- 52:42So I got 2 awesome records for sort of a Small Business
- 52:48Saturday. I'm going to pull up my order
- 52:51here. Hang on one second because I
- 52:54want to make sure I get it right, buddy.
- 52:57We have, we have more stuff, more things to post and review
- 53:04and all kinds of content coming. Still, I know that word is equal
- 53:10to some people. But yeah, you know, if you got
- 53:19something cool and you want to talk about it or there's you
- 53:22have a band, feel free to drop a link to your music or DMSA link
- 53:26to your music and let us know. But a rowing wins is a store
- 53:33from the owned by the former, the the current owners of Gilead
- 53:37Media. That record is kind of gold that
- 53:39labels kind of not putting up new music anymore.
- 53:43But I wanted to make sure I I talked about this in the show.
- 53:47So I got these two records for Small Business Saturday and
- 53:51rowing wins is rad. They sent me the these awesome
- 53:55things. And so the first one is Foreign
- 53:59and Hatreds, Ancient Tongues and process.
- 54:04So it's a split single. It's beautiful artwork and
- 54:08everything, which I think you like.
- 54:09And then it's on a fun. I think this was like $7.00 on
- 54:13this fun. I'm not sure what color this is.
- 54:15I guess it's candy apple red vinyl.
- 54:19Hatreds on one side, foreign on the back.
- 54:21Nice. And then I think the other one
- 54:24is Yellow eyes. I was looking at a lot of stuff
- 54:27in my cart and I just wanted to kind of spread the love around
- 54:30as much as I possibly could. I think this is like comes with
- 54:34a sleeve and artwork and all kinds of fun things.
- 54:37So let's take a look at this kind of like a fun card.
- 54:41Stop here. It comes with a whole art book
- 54:50of photography, almost like a Zine, like time lapse and other
- 54:56types of photography, which is fun.
- 55:01And then, yeah, I think this is yellow eyes on a white one.
- 55:06Very nice with the label. So very cool, very cool.
- 55:13I wanted to support them then in terms of the mainstream stuff.
- 55:16And we have some content coming soon about my favorite vinyl
- 55:21reissues of the year. And here's the one that probably
- 55:24the most coveted thing I had on my wish list forever and I was
- 55:28reluctant. I don't want to buy.
- 55:30I do buy some bootlegs, but what I really want is the original.
- 55:35I want the original repress of the thing by the band Emily.
- 55:39So Danzig has not had the rights to his first four records for
- 55:44the longest time. And I have been on a Danzig cake
- 55:46basically all year because I saw Danzig in March in Vegas and he
- 55:50was phenomenal and he did stuff off the 1st 4 records with a few
- 55:53more recent things. So Universal Music, who has the
- 55:56rights? Because they bought American
- 55:58Records from Rick Rubin and they will not negotiate with Danzig.
- 56:01Finally decided to repress the first four Danzig records this
- 56:04year. And I tried to buy them all at
- 56:07once and they had two, which is my favorite Danzig record.
- 56:10All sold out. Danzig 2 Lucifuge.
- 56:13And I have it now because they re put another thing here.
- 56:16Yeah, Andrew, I saw you there. We took a selfie, we hugged.
- 56:20You know, I was one of the highlights of the whole year,
- 56:22buddy. I'm so glad I got to see you,
- 56:24what with my drummer from my being Abe and I had a magical
- 56:28time in Vegas for a few days, but I got this Danzig Lucifuge.
- 56:32Now I know after I've made the orders both at different times,
- 56:36when they finally put out another batch of these, they
- 56:39will be in stores, in record stores in 2026.
- 56:42In the spring, they're going to do an indie exclusive, maybe
- 56:46Record Store Day, maybe not, but they will be in the You will be
- 56:49able to buy these in stores in 26.
- 56:52You just couldn't before now. But after I made all the orders,
- 56:58I did read on Reddit that some of these were coming with errors
- 57:01and they were getting refunds for bad records or whatever.
- 57:04And listen like when you get something pressed out, whether
- 57:07from the smallest to the biggest labels to the smallest to the
- 57:10biggest bands, there will be errors sometimes on your bottom
- 57:14and a good partner or a good store will gladly refund you.
- 57:20So hopefully this doesn't suck. I will be doing my favorite
- 57:25reissues countdown probably the first week of January.
- 57:29I think next week if I do an additional live stream, as long
- 57:32as nothing crazy happens, I will do my personal talk top 20 or 30
- 57:36records of the year and most of them on vinyl.
- 57:39But I love this is my favorite Danzig record still and always,
- 57:42absolutely. The music holds up.
- 57:44Hopefully the sound is good. And yeah, that's the show.
- 57:50I'm in a very manageable 58 minutes.
- 57:54So thank you for all watching. If you're celebrating Christmas,
- 57:57Merry Christmas and happy New Year.
- 57:59I'll be back at least one time or two times next week with a
- 58:02couple of streams. But thanks, everybody for
- 58:04supporting. Thanks, Dillinger, for the
- 58:06donation. You know, thank you, Andrew, for
- 58:08popping in to the end here. Love seeing you brother.
- 58:11Hopefully I'll see you out there with either Sun Don't Shine or
- 58:15Down or something next year or maybe at a punk show since we
- 58:18both love the punk rock. And you know, again, just one
- 58:23last time, Merry Christmas, man, Merry Christmas to everybody.
- 58:27Thanks for being here and thanks for watching.
- 58:29And you know, I will say one more time, this is a hard time
- 58:33of the year for people. So please check on your friends.
- 58:37Check on people. Don't take it for granted that
- 58:39they're OK because they're being quiet.
- 58:42Check your friends love you, Don.
- 58:45I'll talk to you Friday for sure.
- 58:47I'll sure I'll text you before then.
- 58:48But I'll see you Friday for the new glaciers report cast the
- 58:51final episode Queens York series.
- 58:54And as we say every week at this jumps for the show.
- 58:56It's a tough time in the world. So please take care of
- 58:58yourselves. Take care of each other.
- 59:00Stay as metal as humanly possible.
- 59:02Don't drink and drive and I'm going to dance a jig on the way
- 59:05out like Joe Hollenbeck in the movie Boy Scout.
- 59:09Peace and Merry Christmas.
