- 2:31Speaker 1: before I get into our scheduled cases today, I wanted
- 2:35Speaker 1: to highlight an issue that is happening right now in Texas.
- 2:39Speaker 1: I did not have time to write a summary, so
- 2:42Speaker 1: I'm just going to read you the article I found
- 2:44Speaker 1: on CBS. Austin authorities are searching for twenty nine year
- 2:49Speaker 1: old Brenna Swindell, the daughter of former Longhorn and Major
- 2:55Speaker 1: League Baseball pitcher Greg'swindell. She reportedly went missing last week
- 3:00Speaker 1: after being seen with her ex boyfriend at a bar
- 3:03Speaker 1: in Spicewood. Swindell was last spotted around ten twenty pm
- 3:08Speaker 1: Thursday at Pooty's Hero Top Bar. According to the Austin
- 3:12Speaker 1: Police Department, she was with her ex boyfriend, Margan Gidrey,
- 3:17Speaker 1: and neither have been seen since now. Police said both
- 3:21Speaker 1: of their phones have been turned off since Friday. Swindell's
- 3:25Speaker 1: family reported she has not been in the usual contact
- 3:28Speaker 1: with them or friends. Swindell is described as a white
- 3:32Speaker 1: five foot ten about one hundred and forty pounds. She
- 3:36Speaker 1: has brown hairs and brown eyes, and she has tattoos
- 3:39Speaker 1: on both arms in maybe traveling in a white twenty
- 3:44Speaker 1: twenty two Kia Carnival with Texas license plate v FS
- 3:50Speaker 1: seven five two eight. Her dad, Gregg Swindell, posted on
- 3:55Speaker 1: social media that Brenna's ex boyfriend has a warrant for
- 3:59Speaker 1: his rest and he is violent. That warrant is due
- 4:04Speaker 1: to a violent situation with Brenna. He added that Brenna
- 4:08Speaker 1: has children and he wants her to come home now.
- 4:12Speaker 1: Authority said that the vehicle may have been seen in
- 4:15Speaker 1: Colorado Springs or Denver, so you're going to want to
- 4:20Speaker 1: keep your eyes out. The Austin Police Department is asking
- 4:23Speaker 1: anyone with information to call nine one one or the
- 4:27Speaker 1: Missing Persons Unit at five one two nine seven four
- 4:32Speaker 1: five two five zero. Police also have said they do
- 4:36Speaker 1: not know if Brenna has gone with him willingly, so guys,
- 4:41Speaker 1: please keep an eye out for Brenna anywhere between Texas
- 4:45Speaker 1: and Colorado. If you see anything, please definitely call the
- 4:50Speaker 1: Austin Police Department. Okay, guys, now I'm going to tell
- 4:57Speaker 1: you you're going to want to buckle up and grab
- 4:59Speaker 1: your tissues. Okay, because this first case is one that
- 5:03Speaker 1: hits really hard, so just get ready. June third, twenty seventeen,
- 5:12Speaker 1: was a typical hot day in Alpaso, Texas, and Angel
- 5:16Speaker 1: Marie Avlos went to a graduation party with her boyfriend
- 5:21Speaker 1: Alan Longoria and she was never seen again. Angel was
- 5:26Speaker 1: a young lady who was full of life and had
- 5:29Speaker 1: a huge heart. According to all of her friends and family,
- 5:33Speaker 1: Angel was eight months pregnant and she was looking forward
- 5:36Speaker 1: to welcoming her new baby. Now Angel's mom, Monica, became
- 5:41Speaker 1: worried when she didn't return home and she could not
- 5:45Speaker 1: reach her. Now Angel's boyfriend Alan, He's from the Valley
- 5:49Speaker 1: of Warrez, in case you don't know, that is a
- 5:53Speaker 1: big place for drugs and the cartel. And based on
- 5:57Speaker 1: everything I could find, Alan did not cooperate with the
- 6:01Speaker 1: family and he even blocked them on social media. Guys,
- 6:06Speaker 1: moved on to a new girlfriend not long after Angel
- 6:09Speaker 1: went missing. Okay, guys, little suspicious could not find out
- 6:16Speaker 1: if he was the father of the child. Nowhere did
- 6:19Speaker 1: I see that? Now? Several news reports call Alan her
- 6:23Speaker 1: then boyfriend, which makes me think he told her or
- 6:27Speaker 1: he told someone that they broke up that day. You know,
- 6:32Speaker 1: to try to distance himself. We know those games they
- 6:35Speaker 1: play right now. In May of twenty twenty two, Monica
- 6:40Speaker 1: Angel's mom told the al Passive Times that she thinks
- 6:43Speaker 1: Alan took her daughter across the border into Mexico and
- 6:47Speaker 1: that she is locked up somewhere. Guys. She then looked
- 6:50Speaker 1: in the camera and said, if my daughter is watching this,
- 6:55Speaker 1: I've just got to tell her that I am doing
- 6:58Speaker 1: everything to bring her back. That I don't want her
- 7:01Speaker 1: thinking or not doing nothing for her. It's just that
- 7:05Speaker 1: my hands are tied. I don't know where to look
- 7:08Speaker 1: for her. I don't know who to look nothing. I
- 7:14Speaker 1: just want to let her know that I love her
- 7:16Speaker 1: very much and I miss her and I want her
- 7:19Speaker 1: to come back, and I'm not going to rest until
- 7:23Speaker 1: I have her back. Guys. That ripped my heart out.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Not only is Monica missing her daughter, she has no
- 7:32Speaker 1: idea what happened to her grandchild. Was the baby born?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Was it killed with her daughter? Are they being held somewhere?
- 7:41Speaker 1: Was the baby sold? Was Angel sold? I mean, there
- 7:45Speaker 1: are so many options, and they are I mean, guys,
- 7:49Speaker 1: they're all heartbreaking. Now, law enforcement has publicly said that
- 7:54Speaker 1: Allen Longoria is of person of interest, but due to
- 7:58Speaker 1: the fact that he lives in Mexico, their hands are
- 8:02Speaker 1: somewhat tied. It was revealed that Allan never contacted the
- 8:08Speaker 1: family again after picking Angel up that day to go
- 8:11Speaker 1: to the graduation event. I mean, guys, what in the
- 8:14Speaker 1: hell your girlfriend ex girlfriend? If you broke up with
- 8:18Speaker 1: her that day, okay goes missing and you don't even
- 8:22Speaker 1: contact the family. I mean, that makes you not only
- 8:27Speaker 1: Hella suspicious, but in my opinion, it makes you look
- 8:32Speaker 1: like not a very good person. It makes you look
- 8:35Speaker 1: like a piece of shit. Now I looked and looked,
- 8:38Speaker 1: but I could not find anything. Like I said saying,
- 8:42Speaker 1: if he was the father. If he was the father,
- 8:46Speaker 1: that makes it even worse because if he is the father,
- 8:50Speaker 1: you're not even asking and caring about your unborn child.
- 8:56Speaker 1: So now one of the reasons I think maybe it's
- 9:00Speaker 1: his baby, because I'm guessing guys like Alan don't date
- 9:05Speaker 1: women who are pregnant with another man's child. I could
- 9:08Speaker 1: be wrong, but she was Angel Longoria or excuse me.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Alan was twenty at the time of Angel's disappearance. Now,
- 9:18Speaker 1: Angel is five foot two inches, has a birthmark on
- 9:22Speaker 1: her cheek and a tattoo that says Monica in cursive
- 9:26Speaker 1: on her left chest. Guys, the fact that she has
- 9:29Speaker 1: her mom's name tattooed on her tells me mom and
- 9:33Speaker 1: daughter were very close. Daughter would not go off missing
- 9:40Speaker 1: intentionally and not tell her mom. Okay, so let's just
- 9:45Speaker 1: get that out of our mind. She did not leave
- 9:47Speaker 1: on her own. Now. Police did search a portion of
- 9:50Speaker 1: the desert with a drone after they received a tip. However,
- 9:55Speaker 1: the drone did not find any area that looked like
- 9:58Speaker 1: it had been disturbed. Police also received a tip that
- 10:01Speaker 1: Angel was in middle and Odessa and that she went
- 10:04Speaker 1: there to have the baby. They also followed up on
- 10:07Speaker 1: that tip and they investigated it. Nothing came of it.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Now there is not a lot of information about Alan Longoria,
- 10:15Speaker 1: but the police would love the opportunity to talk with him.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Angel Marie Avlos was a vibrant and happy nineteen year
- 10:25Speaker 1: old and guy. She was excited about becoming a young mom,
- 10:29Speaker 1: but her dreams were cut short when she disappeared, and
- 10:33Speaker 1: her family wants her back. The El Paso community has
- 10:39Speaker 1: come together and they have tried to help find Angel,
- 10:43Speaker 1: and just last year, someone donated billboards that were in
- 10:46Speaker 1: English and in Spanish with her missing person information and
- 10:51Speaker 1: her mother Monica has been vocal about her daughter's disappearance,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and she has emphasized how uncharacteristic it is for Angel
- 11:00Speaker 1: to lose contact, especially given her advance pregnancy. Okay, the
- 11:06Speaker 1: uncertainty has been crippling, Yet Monica and her family cling
- 11:11Speaker 1: to hope that one day she will come home and Alan,
- 11:16Speaker 1: if you are holding her somewhere, let her go home, Okay,
- 11:21Speaker 1: stay in Mexico if you want, but let her go home. Okay.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Now I have so many questions, okay, and if anyone
- 11:31Speaker 1: knows the answers, I would love for you to reach
- 11:34Speaker 1: out or put the answers in the chat because I
- 11:38Speaker 1: do not know these answers. But do they not ask
- 11:42Speaker 1: to see your passport or ID when you go from
- 11:44Speaker 1: the US into Mexico. My understanding is that you have
- 11:49Speaker 1: to have a passport, So do they just see it
- 11:53Speaker 1: or do they scan it keep it? How do they
- 11:56Speaker 1: log who goes in and out? Okay? And also do
- 11:59Speaker 1: they and not keep logs of all the license plates
- 12:02Speaker 1: that go in and out between the US and Mexico.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I would think they would because I've seen articles and
- 12:12Speaker 1: they're like, yeah, the person was saying a crossing the border,
- 12:15Speaker 1: so there's got to be a camera. There's got to
- 12:17Speaker 1: be something. Also, they said that Alan Mongoria lived in Mexico.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I couldn't find if he was a US citizen or
- 12:26Speaker 1: a citizen in Mexico. And my other question is why
- 12:32Speaker 1: won't the Mexico police get involved and help the US.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I mean, do they want to have a man living
- 12:38Speaker 1: in their country who possibly did something horrible to a
- 12:42Speaker 1: young pregnant woman. I mean, guys, I have so many
- 12:47Speaker 1: questions and no answers, and that is something that drives
- 12:52Speaker 1: me insane. So if anybody knows, please either put it
- 12:56Speaker 1: in a chat message me here on the YouTube channel
- 13:00Speaker 1: on Facebook somewhere, okay, because I need to know. Now.
- 13:04Speaker 1: If you have any information about Angel Marie Avelos or
- 13:08Speaker 1: her child, or about Alan Longoria, please call the El
- 13:13Speaker 1: Paso County Sheriff's Office at nine one five five three
- 13:17Speaker 1: eight twenty two ninety one. Now, I didn't plan for
- 13:24Speaker 1: today to be a Texas day, but it's a Texas day.
- 13:28Speaker 1: So this next case is very recent and like I said,
- 13:33Speaker 1: is in Texas. This case was sent to me by
- 13:36Speaker 1: a friend because I used to live in mckeller Fort
- 13:39Speaker 1: Worth area and she thought I might want to share,
- 13:42Speaker 1: and then someone tagged the podcast True Crime and Wine
- 13:45Speaker 1: Time on the Finding James Dusting page, So James Dusting
- 13:50Speaker 1: was last seen on Monday May sixth, twenty twenty four.
- 13:55Speaker 1: James is believed to be on foot and he left
- 13:58Speaker 1: all of his belongings behind behind, including his cell phone. Now,
- 14:03Speaker 1: James has suffered from alcoholism and depression in the past,
- 14:08Speaker 1: but if you don't know, alcoholism and depression is an
- 14:13Speaker 1: ongoing thing even though you're sober. It's a tightrope. And
- 14:18Speaker 1: it is said that he was in good spirits the
- 14:20Speaker 1: weekend before he disappeared, and the last weekend before he
- 14:24Speaker 1: went missing he spent with his two boys and he
- 14:28Speaker 1: was sober and nothing appeared to be overly bothering him. Now,
- 14:34Speaker 1: a couple of groups have helped do searches in the
- 14:36Speaker 1: area that they believe he could have walked, but have
- 14:40Speaker 1: little information about where else they should search. Now on
- 14:46Speaker 1: the Finding James Dessing page, I found where his brother
- 14:49Speaker 1: David posted that they have checked James's emails and they
- 14:53Speaker 1: have called several rehab facilities. They have his phone and
- 14:59Speaker 1: James I had erased all of his messages. Now, I
- 15:04Speaker 1: don't know if he intentionally did that. Like me, I
- 15:07Speaker 1: have mine, they erase I think every seven days because
- 15:12Speaker 1: I get so many messages. It could have been that.
- 15:15Speaker 1: They also tried to check his history on his computer,
- 15:19Speaker 1: but he used an incognito browser, So I want to say,
- 15:23Speaker 1: I know people who use incognito browsers or the Dug
- 15:27Speaker 1: dut goat all the time for everything, so that doesn't
- 15:30Speaker 1: necessarily mean it's suspicious. Now, guys, this is heartbreaking. James
- 15:36Speaker 1: disappeared on his deceased brother's birthday. Maybe that was a trigger.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I don't know. Based on my research, it looks like
- 15:46Speaker 1: James left his job in March of twenty twenty four,
- 15:50Speaker 1: and based on LinkedIn, he had not added a new position.
- 15:54Speaker 1: I also found that James was dealing with some legal
- 15:57Speaker 1: issues due to a DDPI arras guys, but that is
- 16:01Speaker 1: not uncommon for people dealing with alcoholism. So it seems
- 16:06Speaker 1: to me that James was going through some things and
- 16:10Speaker 1: was trying the best he could to cope. Now, the
- 16:14Speaker 1: disappearance of James highlights the complexity and individual faces when
- 16:19Speaker 1: they're fighting addiction. Now, I could not find news article
- 16:24Speaker 1: where the news had picked up James's disappearance, and I
- 16:28Speaker 1: can only speculate that it's because he's an adult and
- 16:32Speaker 1: they feel he has the right to go missing, which
- 16:36Speaker 1: I understand. But guys, I also understand that a person
- 16:41Speaker 1: maybe having a mental health crisis or maybe fell off
- 16:46Speaker 1: the wagon and alcoholism. I mean, but guys, as I've
- 16:50Speaker 1: said before, they could still come upon a predator and
- 16:55Speaker 1: then become a victim. Okay. James has two sons and
- 17:00Speaker 1: a family that wants to find him, and I am
- 17:04Speaker 1: asking you all to share his missing person flyer and
- 17:07Speaker 1: share it on all your social media accounts. It is
- 17:11Speaker 1: not getting the publicity he deserves. And if you have
- 17:16Speaker 1: any information about James Dusting, please call the Fort Worth
- 17:20Speaker 1: Police Department at eight one seven three nine two four
- 17:25Speaker 1: four two nine. I'm also asking any of our viewers
- 17:29Speaker 1: that live in Texas please keep an eye out for
- 17:34Speaker 1: James anywhere. Even if he left to you know, have
- 17:39Speaker 1: some time to think, he would have contacted as kids,
- 17:43Speaker 1: which tells me something has happened to him. So please
- 17:49Speaker 1: share that flyer. Let's get the word out. My other
- 17:54Speaker 1: thing about that is media, do a news report on it,
- 18:00Speaker 1: even if you only release it to your online viewers.
- 18:03Speaker 1: You know, I know you don't want to put every
- 18:05Speaker 1: missing person that maybe they walked away on their own
- 18:08Speaker 1: on the ten o'clock news. But he's missing. Something has
- 18:14Speaker 1: happened to him, So why wouldn't you share it. It
- 18:17Speaker 1: is a news story and you say, oh, it needs
- 18:21Speaker 1: a hook. There is a hook. He has kids. They
- 18:25Speaker 1: miss their father. They want to know where he is.
- 18:28Speaker 1: So let's put the word out, guys, Now Fire Wednesday,
- 18:35Speaker 1: Palette Cleanser. I've heard a lot of you have said
- 18:40Speaker 1: that you really like the stories, so I have another
- 18:44Speaker 1: one for you today. Once upon a time in the
- 18:48Speaker 1: lively world of true crime podcast, there was a bright
- 18:52Speaker 1: peak pen named Penelope. Penelope wasn't just any pin. She
- 18:58Speaker 1: belonged to your Tarry True Crime. Yes, I'm the co
- 19:03Speaker 1: host of True Crime and Wine Time, and I loved
- 19:06Speaker 1: Penelope because she was smooth writing and her pink ink
- 19:12Speaker 1: popped on the page and guys, I used it to
- 19:16Speaker 1: make notes and outlines for the podcast episodes and it
- 19:20Speaker 1: made them look lively because of that bright pink ink.
- 19:26Speaker 1: But Penelope had a secret. She loved the spotlight just
- 19:32Speaker 1: as much as I did, and she had a knack
- 19:36Speaker 1: for disappearing at the most crucial moments. Yeah, Penelope. Every morning,
- 19:42Speaker 1: I would set Penelope down next to my trusty notebook,
- 19:47Speaker 1: ready to jot down ideas for the next big episode.
- 19:51Speaker 1: But guys, by the afternoon, Penelope would be gone off
- 19:55Speaker 1: on her own on a little adventure. Penelope has a
- 20:00Speaker 1: mischievous streak, sneaking into the nooks and crannies of my office.
- 20:05Speaker 1: I mean she's head under the stack of unsolved case files.
- 20:09Speaker 1: She slipped behind my wine bottles on the shelf, all
- 20:13Speaker 1: enjoying the thrill of me looking for her. I mean, guys,
- 20:18Speaker 1: I searched high and low, talking to myself constantly. Where
- 20:22Speaker 1: did I put that damn pink pin? I just had her.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I mean even double H would chuckle, offering a plane
- 20:33Speaker 1: black pin as a replacement, but I insist, it's just
- 20:37Speaker 1: not the same without my Penelope. Now, Guys. One day,
- 20:41Speaker 1: after an exhaustive search that ended with Penelope being found
- 20:45Speaker 1: wedged inside a drawer full of podcast merch, I decided
- 20:50Speaker 1: to play along with penelopees little game. I started leaving
- 20:54Speaker 1: post it notes around my office saying Penelope, stay put Penelope,
- 21:01Speaker 1: no more hide and seek. But of course, guys, Penelope
- 21:06Speaker 1: just couldn't resist. She still went missing, and now she'd
- 21:12Speaker 1: make sure to pop up in the most obvious places,
- 21:15Speaker 1: like perch the top my microphone, just in time for
- 21:19Speaker 1: me to record, so that I had my trusty pen.
- 21:24Speaker 1: And so Penelope the Pink Pin became an unofficial member
- 21:28Speaker 1: of the True Crime and Wine Time podcast team. Listeners
- 21:32Speaker 1: of the podcast will hear me joking about my elusive pen,
- 21:37Speaker 1: making Penelope a small legend in the true crime community.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Even though she left her adventures, Penelope always made sure
- 21:47Speaker 1: to be there when I needed her most, because every
- 21:51Speaker 1: great podcast host deserves a pin that adds a little
- 21:55Speaker 1: excitement to the story. And guys, I just want to
- 21:59Speaker 1: tell you, let me get Penelope. Penelope runs away often,
- 22:05Speaker 1: and Penelope needs to stay put because I don't like
- 22:08Speaker 1: it when I have to use the black pen. So
- 22:12Speaker 1: there's our pellate cleanser for today. I want to thank
- 22:16Speaker 1: you all for joining me today and I look forward
- 22:19Speaker 1: to seeing you all again on Wednesday for our next
- 22:22Speaker 1: episode of Midday Missing. Please once again be sure to
- 22:26Speaker 1: share the missing poster and flyers from today's cases so
- 22:30Speaker 1: that we can help the families get the word out
- 22:33Speaker 1: and bring their left ones home. And guys, if you
- 22:36Speaker 1: have friends in Mexico, please share it. I don't know
- 22:40Speaker 1: anybody in Mexico, so I can't share it there, but
- 22:42Speaker 1: I'm saying, please, let's get the word out. Don't forget.
- 22:46Speaker 1: You can also join our Facebook group, follow us on
- 22:49Speaker 1: all of our social media channels, and you can catch
- 22:53Speaker 1: all of our productions here on our YouTube channel, and
- 22:57Speaker 1: you can see our podcast live stream tire or you
- 23:00Speaker 1: can listen to it wherever you get your podcast. And
- 23:04Speaker 1: I want to remind you we have a lot of
- 23:08Speaker 1: exciting things coming, so you're gonna want to keep an
- 23:12Speaker 1: eye out. Some of the little hints and teasers will
- 23:17Speaker 1: just be a picture, it might just be a few words.
- 23:21Speaker 1: We are going to see how many of you can
- 23:25Speaker 1: put the pieces of the puzzle together and maybe figure
- 23:29Speaker 1: out what's coming. So until next time, guys, stay safe,
- 23:36Speaker 1: watch out for crime, and enjoy your wide time. Bye guys,
