Transcript
- 0:01Speaker 1: Now Seor presents no Mark Simon Shaw.
- 0:09Speaker 2: Well, hey, we've got a lot to get to. The
- 0:11Speaker 2: President has landed. He's in China, grand entrance, red carpet,
- 0:16Speaker 2: all that stuff. The big banquet is later tonight, although
- 0:19Speaker 2: with the time difference it's more like tomorrow morning for us.
- 0:24Speaker 2: We'll get to that. We'll get to Cash. Prittel was
- 0:26Speaker 2: great in front of the Congress. You know, Democrats are
- 0:30Speaker 2: great at doing hearings. They know how to really bash
- 0:33Speaker 2: and trash somebody in a hearing. So Cash Pttel was
- 0:37Speaker 2: the target, but he fought back pretty good. Also, we'll
- 0:41Speaker 2: get to crazy Mom, Donnie, his new budget. We'll get
- 0:44Speaker 2: to Colbert. He's going off the air a week from tomorrow.
- 0:47Speaker 2: That'll be the end of this national nightmare. Also Kevin
- 0:53Speaker 2: Nelan I love Kevin neland he'll be with us a
- 0:55Speaker 2: little later this hour. So the President is landed in China.
- 1:01Speaker 2: He's got sixteen of the biggest CEOs in the world.
- 1:04Speaker 2: He's got Tim Cook, he's got chairman of Boeing, He's
- 1:07Speaker 2: got Steve Schwarzman, Blackstone, the biggest hedge fund on earth.
- 1:12Speaker 2: Got all sorts of guys. Somehow, Brett Ratner, the Hollywood
- 1:18Speaker 2: producer director who was ostracized in twenty seventeen, almost ten
- 1:23Speaker 2: years ago. Forec he was accused of all kinds of
- 1:26Speaker 2: sexual harassment, sexual abuse. He was a big, big figure
- 1:30Speaker 2: in Hollywood, big producer director. But with all that sexual
- 1:33Speaker 2: harassment accusation stuff, he was banned from Hollywood. That's it.
- 1:37Speaker 2: He went back to Florida, where he's from. He's been
- 1:39Speaker 2: hiding out there for years, trying to make a comeback
- 1:42Speaker 2: somehow somewhere. But he's the guy that did that Milania
- 1:46Speaker 2: documentary for Netflix. He was the producer. He did a
- 1:50Speaker 2: pretty good job. Amy is good that stuff. So I
- 1:54Speaker 2: guess that got him in with the Trumps and somehow
- 1:57Speaker 2: he's on the flight. Somehow he got in this bunch.
- 2:01Speaker 3: You got the.
- 2:02Speaker 2: Biggest CEOs in the world, and there's a scruffy Brett
- 2:04Speaker 2: Ratner in the group. Now he's supposedly he's in China
- 2:07Speaker 2: because he's doing some kind of documentary about China and
- 2:10Speaker 2: he's scouting locations. That's what he says. He's another one
- 2:14Speaker 2: of those guys that unfortunately ended up in the Epstein files.
- 2:17Speaker 2: Not so great. So the President will be there for
- 2:20Speaker 2: a couple of days there's lots to talk about, obviously Iran,
- 2:24Speaker 2: although President says, no, we have a lot of things that.
- 2:30Speaker 4: I wouldn't say.
- 2:31Speaker 5: Iran is one of them, to be honest with you,
- 2:33Speaker 5: because we have Iran very.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Much, and you get Ron that's of course not true.
- 2:39Speaker 2: You know, he's gonna be meeting with President She They're
- 2:41Speaker 2: gonna be talking for hours. Obviously Iran will come up.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Obviously it'll be a topic.
- 2:45Speaker 4: Now.
- 2:45Speaker 2: The problem is China wants Taiwan, so they might want
- 2:50Speaker 2: to trade permission to go into Taiwan in exchange for
- 2:54Speaker 2: their help with Iran. But the President, the great negotiator,
- 2:57Speaker 2: he'll make a good deal. And he got a little
- 3:00Speaker 2: flak yesterday. Not really, he just he said the wrong thing.
- 3:05Speaker 2: But it's the media. When he says the wrong thing,
- 3:09Speaker 2: they go crazy. This is all they talk about. They'll
- 3:12Speaker 2: be all over it for the next couple of days.
- 3:14Speaker 2: If you're watching CNN or MS, this is all you're
- 3:17Speaker 2: going to hear about. They asked him about they're talking
- 3:20Speaker 2: about a ram. They said, aren't you concerned about American's
- 3:24Speaker 2: financial situation? I guess, meaning the prices have gone up
- 3:28Speaker 2: because of the war, And he said, no, I'm not
- 3:31Speaker 2: concerned about American's financial situation. Now that's the quote. Well,
- 3:35Speaker 2: it sounds horrible, it sounds tone deaf, it sounds awful.
- 3:39Speaker 2: He's not concerned about America's financial situation. Well, how could
- 3:42Speaker 2: this be? Well, obviously we know what he meant. And
- 3:46Speaker 2: it's a political reporters, so they always look to do
- 3:50Speaker 2: a gotcha and if you say the wrong thing, that's it,
- 3:53Speaker 2: we got him. They never actually follow up and try
- 3:56Speaker 2: to figure out what are you at, what do you
- 3:57Speaker 2: actually mean? And then if they had asked him, he
- 4:01Speaker 2: would have explained carefully, and everybody knows what he meant.
- 4:04Speaker 2: This Warren Iran is crucial to get rid of their
- 4:07Speaker 2: nuclear weapons. We can't let them have nuclear weapons. That's
- 4:10Speaker 2: the whole point of this national security and I'm not
- 4:14Speaker 2: gonna use politics to make decisions on national security. Politics
- 4:18Speaker 2: doesn't come into play here. Obviously, he's concerned about americans
- 4:21Speaker 2: financial situation at all times. It's all he's been talking
- 4:23Speaker 2: about for ten years. It's all he's been talking about
- 4:27Speaker 2: in the campaigns all that. So he just it just
- 4:31Speaker 2: came out wrong. But again, the reporter, you know how
- 4:33Speaker 2: they always do a million follow ups when the wrong
- 4:36Speaker 2: thing comes out of his mouth. No follow ups because
- 4:39Speaker 2: they can take that quote and use it, so you'll
- 4:41Speaker 2: see it all over. There's Jake Tapper going nuts over it.
- 4:44Speaker 2: There's the amiss Now anchors going crazy over it. But
- 4:48Speaker 2: we know what he meant, so uh Cash Petel testifying
- 4:53Speaker 2: in front of Congress. Now you know he's been accused
- 4:56Speaker 2: of drinking and getting drunk and partying. And why we
- 5:00Speaker 2: he at the Stanley Cup championship? Why was it the
- 5:04Speaker 2: hockey games? And remember the picture him celebrating with the
- 5:08Speaker 2: team with the Stanley Cup with the hockey or what
- 5:11Speaker 2: was it the Olympic hockey hockey team. I think that's
- 5:13Speaker 2: what it was. Why is he in the locker room?
- 5:18Speaker 2: It looked you're supposed to be the FBI director. What
- 5:20Speaker 2: are you doing in the locker room of a hockey team?
- 5:21Speaker 2: What are you doing within the clubhouse with the hockey players?
- 5:25Speaker 3: You know?
- 5:26Speaker 2: Look terrible Except I'm watching Greg Kelly Reports last night,
- 5:30Speaker 2: a Newsmax, and he opens with this story and then
- 5:33Speaker 2: he shows a million clips photos, film clips of Robert
- 5:38Speaker 2: Mueller with the hockey team, Robert Muller in the locker room,
- 5:43Speaker 2: Jim Comey with the hockey team, Apparently every FBI director
- 5:46Speaker 2: they got something about hockey. With the FBI, they're always
- 5:49Speaker 2: hanging around in hockey clubhouses and locker rooms. They're always
- 5:54Speaker 2: at the finals of the hockey game. But he showed
- 5:56Speaker 2: all these There's Muller doing it, there's a Christopher Ray
- 6:00Speaker 2: doing it, there's Komy doing it. This is every FBI
- 6:02Speaker 2: director doing it. There they are all posing with the
- 6:05Speaker 2: Stanley Cup. So again it's the double standard, the hypocrisy
- 6:09Speaker 2: democrats are famous for. So don't blame cash Battel. You
- 6:12Speaker 2: know that's a good show, Greg Kelly reports Newsmax. But
- 6:16Speaker 2: why did I have to wait till that to find out?
- 6:19Speaker 2: How come nobody else did this story? When they're all
- 6:24Speaker 2: going after cash Battel for being at the hockey playoff,
- 6:26Speaker 2: why didn't they show the pictures of Muller, call me,
- 6:28Speaker 2: Christopher Ray and all the other FBI directors doing the
- 6:31Speaker 2: same thing. So they're yelling and screaming at him that
- 6:34Speaker 2: he's a drunk, he's drinking, he's a drinking problem, and
- 6:37Speaker 2: he's denying it. There is this one guy Van Holland,
- 6:41Speaker 2: and he's accused a Cash Battel of having a real
- 6:44Speaker 2: drinking problem. Drinking all day. Why isn't he work? Why
- 6:47Speaker 2: is he drinking? But he forgets this guy's the FBI director.
- 6:51Speaker 2: He can get all kinds of intel. So he finds
- 6:53Speaker 2: out Van Holland is in bars drinking all day with
- 6:57Speaker 2: his staff. And this is the FBI director. He's got seats,
- 7:00Speaker 2: he's got photographs, he's got it documented. So listen to
- 7:03Speaker 2: Van Holland trying to get him.
- 7:05Speaker 5: These are serious allegations that were made against you.
- 7:09Speaker 6: Are filed you drinking margarita's with a young Actually just
- 7:12Speaker 6: goes to show you running a seven thousand dollar bar
- 7:15Speaker 6: tab at the lobby bar, but has been filed by
- 7:17Speaker 6: your own office during the day. That's you an ultimate
- 7:22Speaker 6: example of Apocryphairman. I will not be tarnished by baseless allegation.
- 7:26Speaker 1: Let me statements from the media.
- 7:29Speaker 5: The fact that you mentioned that indicates you don't know
- 7:32Speaker 5: what you are talking about. Now you're directly thing I.
- 7:36Speaker 6: Know is you're the one drinking ruggaritas with film.
- 7:37Speaker 5: Actually that's a false statement, and I'm asking you about
- 7:41Speaker 5: your statements.
- 7:43Speaker 2: Well, that's pretty good cash Pattel there to have all
- 7:46Speaker 2: that ready. And that's the FBI director says he's got documents, says,
- 7:49Speaker 2: he's got receipts, So I think we should go public
- 7:55Speaker 2: with all this. Put them, put them all out, let's
- 7:56Speaker 2: see all the information now. Then he keeps going after Patel.
- 8:00Speaker 5: Are you willing to take the test that it's called
- 8:03Speaker 5: the audit test that members of our actor do, the
- 8:07Speaker 5: military and others take to determine whether they have a
- 8:10Speaker 5: drinking problem.
- 8:11Speaker 6: I'll take any test you're willing to take.
- 8:13Speaker 5: I will take it. Director, I'll take it. You ready
- 8:16Speaker 5: to take it?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Let's go, yes or no?
- 8:18Speaker 5: Let's go side by side.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Have you ever heard of this the audit test that
- 8:23Speaker 2: tells if you've got a drinking problem. I know you
- 8:25Speaker 2: can get a breathalyzer, I'll tell you if you've got
- 8:27Speaker 2: alcohol on you right then and there. But an audit test.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I guess it's some kind of test that can do
- 8:33Speaker 2: something in your body and figure out your drinking history.
- 8:36Speaker 2: I've never heard of this test ever, but I think
- 8:40Speaker 2: Petel's got a good idea there. Put out all the
- 8:43Speaker 2: receipts of Van Holland drinking and then have them both
- 8:46Speaker 2: do it live on a TV show. Do it live,
- 8:49Speaker 2: have them both take the test at the same time
- 8:52Speaker 2: be pretty interesting. Now the Democrats will probably want to
- 8:55Speaker 2: do it on Colbert, or they'll want to do it
- 8:58Speaker 2: on Seth Meyers Show, because nobody else see it. It's
- 9:01Speaker 2: a tiny, tiny audience. People will see it. Hey, speaking
- 9:04Speaker 2: to which Colbert goes off the air a week from tomorrow.
- 9:09Speaker 2: It'll be Thursday night. He doesn't usually do a Friday show.
- 9:15Speaker 2: A lot of these shows, you know, they're not making
- 9:18Speaker 2: any money. In fact, Colbert loses about forty million a year.
- 9:22Speaker 2: The show's a total disaster ratings and revenue wise, as
- 9:26Speaker 2: is Kimmel and Fallon's doing pretty bad. So what they've
- 9:28Speaker 2: done a lot of cutbacks over the years because they're
- 9:31Speaker 2: all losing money. They only do four shows a week,
- 9:33Speaker 2: sometimes three. The other nights they do rerun, so actually
- 9:36Speaker 2: for a long time there's been no Friday night show
- 9:39Speaker 2: on Colbert just to rerun. So Thursday will be the
- 9:42Speaker 2: last night. And it was interesting this week he did
- 9:46Speaker 2: a show where all the talk show hosts, all the
- 9:50Speaker 2: late night hosts came on to show solidarity, so that
- 9:53Speaker 2: you can see the pictures all of them together. It's Kimmel, Colbert,
- 10:01Speaker 2: Fallon and then somehow they get the B team John
- 10:05Speaker 2: Oliver's got like twelve viewers, and Seth Myers has got
- 10:09Speaker 2: like eight viewers. But somehow they got in there. Now
- 10:12Speaker 2: they all happen to be in town. They're doing what's
- 10:14Speaker 2: called the Upfronts. That's where the networks do their presentations
- 10:17Speaker 2: for advertisers, and they bring in all their big stars
- 10:21Speaker 2: into New York for these events this week. So that's
- 10:24Speaker 2: why they were all in town. Now they've all fallon
- 10:28Speaker 2: and Jimmy Kimmel have said they'll they'll run a rerun
- 10:31Speaker 2: Thursday night just to help out Colbert's final shows. They're
- 10:36Speaker 2: going to run a rerun so that everybody will watch Colbert. Also,
- 10:41Speaker 2: they don't mention this, but their shows are losing a fortune,
- 10:44Speaker 2: and anytime they cannot do a show, it saves a
- 10:46Speaker 2: lot of money because not only don't they get much advertising,
- 10:50Speaker 2: it costs a lot of money just to put on
- 10:54Speaker 2: one of those shows. You know, the audience is like
- 10:55Speaker 2: one hundred and fifty people, so you got to bring
- 10:58Speaker 2: them into the building. It means you got to have,
- 10:59Speaker 2: like you've got twenty five ushers you got to hire
- 11:02Speaker 2: to take care of the audience. You got to have
- 11:04Speaker 2: a band, you got to have a big, huge crew.
- 11:06Speaker 2: There's like one hundred and ten people that work on
- 11:08Speaker 2: these late night shows. Colbert has one hundred and ten people.
- 11:13Speaker 2: Greg Guttfeld gets three times the ratings, triple the ratings,
- 11:18Speaker 2: and he's got twelve people that work on the show.
- 11:20Speaker 2: The whole show is four people sitting in chairs talking.
- 11:23Speaker 2: That's all you need, and it gets three times the
- 11:26Speaker 2: rating of Colbert. It makes a lot more money. They
- 11:30Speaker 2: have an audience, but it's a small audience. It's like,
- 11:32Speaker 2: you know, thirty five people, maybe a lot easier to
- 11:35Speaker 2: put that show on. So when Colbert goes off the air,
- 11:39Speaker 2: he's going to be replaced by Byron Allen Show, which
- 11:42Speaker 2: is the same format as Colbert. Just some people comedians
- 11:46Speaker 2: sitting in chairs talking. No audience or a very small audience.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Be easier to produce, no band, none of that stuff,
- 11:53Speaker 2: and it'll get triple the ratings of Colbert. So it's
- 11:58Speaker 2: going to be great to see him finally go off
- 11:59Speaker 2: the Hey. Speaking of talk show host Conan O'Brien, it
- 12:03Speaker 2: was just announced will be the Oscar host next year.
- 12:07Speaker 2: That's three years in a row. That's a big thing.
- 12:10Speaker 2: That's three years in a row. It's not as big
- 12:12Speaker 2: as it used to be. Being the host of the
- 12:14Speaker 2: Oscars used to be the single biggest thing you could
- 12:17Speaker 2: do in all of show business. If you were named
- 12:20Speaker 2: the host of the Oscars, that was the only the
- 12:23Speaker 2: biggest name ever. Well, there's not really any there's no
- 12:27Speaker 2: such thing anymore. You know, back in those days, in
- 12:29Speaker 2: the fifties and sixties, Bob Hope was the biggest star
- 12:32Speaker 2: in the world. Everybody knew him. The seventies, Johnny Carson
- 12:36Speaker 2: biggest star in the world. Everybody knew him. But you
- 12:38Speaker 2: can't do that much anymore. There's no who could you
- 12:41Speaker 2: have that everybody in the world would know. It's I mean,
- 12:48Speaker 2: you know, older people don't know these people. Younger people
- 12:51Speaker 2: don't know those people. So Conan O'Brien was pretty good.
- 12:54Speaker 2: It was, you know, younger, sort of youngish, but also
- 12:59Speaker 2: sort of old school professional. So three years in a row.
- 13:05Speaker 2: Next year it's on ABC, the year after it's on ABC,
- 13:08Speaker 2: and then the Oscars go to YouTube. It's hard to believe,
- 13:12Speaker 2: but it'll be on YouTube after that. Hey, coming up,
- 13:15Speaker 2: we'll get to this, We'll get to mom Donnie's crazy budget.
- 13:19Speaker 2: It's just crazy. And then how much they're spending. It's
- 13:21Speaker 2: been going on for years, so it's not just him.
- 13:23Speaker 2: But he had that big budget gap, but he got
- 13:27Speaker 2: several billion from Kathy Hokel really add just an out
- 13:29Speaker 2: and out bribe. She needs his voters because she's got
- 13:33Speaker 2: a tough race against Bruce Blakeman, so she's buying his
- 13:36Speaker 2: voters and his support. He'll help her out in the campaign,
- 13:41Speaker 2: and that's why she gave him the money. The budget
- 13:43Speaker 2: is probably double what it should be. You could cut
- 13:45Speaker 2: it in half if you got some doge people in there.
- 13:49Speaker 2: We waste all the money in the budget. Here's another one.
- 13:52Speaker 2: Look at this our schools. We're spending forty four thousand
- 13:56Speaker 2: of pupil in our public schools in New York, forty
- 13:59Speaker 2: four thousand a pupil, and these are terrible schools. Nobody
- 14:03Speaker 2: learns anything when you measure the success of the schools,
- 14:07Speaker 2: the absolute disaster forty four thousand a student. Private schools
- 14:12Speaker 2: who get incredible results are spending half that, twenty two
- 14:15Speaker 2: thousand a student. So it's a total waste of money.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Board of Education in New York as layers and layers
- 14:21Speaker 2: and layers of bureaucracy that does absolutely nothing. So every
- 14:26Speaker 2: time you throw a dollar into the Board of Education,
- 14:29Speaker 2: by the time it goes through those layers, maybe four
- 14:31Speaker 2: cents gets to the classroom. So we just let this
- 14:35Speaker 2: go on forever and ever, overpaying for everything, wasting all
- 14:38Speaker 2: the money. But we'll get to that. We'll get to
- 14:40Speaker 2: these terrible, terrible anti Semitic riots that are taking place,
- 14:44Speaker 2: and Mom, Donnie and Schumer and others looking the other
- 14:47Speaker 2: way and allowing it. We'll get to all of that
- 14:49Speaker 2: coming up. We'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three
- 14:52Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight
- 14:56Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten. W o off, Hey,
- 15:04Speaker 2: let's take some calls. Let's go to uh George in
- 15:06Speaker 2: Long Island. George, how you doing?
- 15:09Speaker 1: Hi?
- 15:09Speaker 4: Mark?
- 15:10Speaker 7: When I listened to Chris van Holland who had drinks
- 15:13Speaker 7: with that trafficker of humans and a white beater, he's
- 15:18Speaker 7: he's unbelievable. And I don't know. I don't want to try.
- 15:20Speaker 7: I about a comedian, But if I had to go
- 15:22Speaker 7: out with drinks for drinks, I'd rather go out for
- 15:25Speaker 7: a drink with cash Battel than Ben Holland any day.
- 15:28Speaker 7: And I grew up. I just want to say one
- 15:31Speaker 7: other thing. Before I moved to Port jeff Port Jeffers,
- 15:34Speaker 7: I lived in Garden City for forty years. My kids
- 15:36Speaker 7: went to school with Cashpttel. He was the kicker on
- 15:39Speaker 7: the football team and he played on the soccer team.
- 15:41Speaker 7: He was a very nice kid.
- 15:42Speaker 2: He's a very nice guy. Let me just say, I
- 15:44Speaker 2: have gone out for drinks with Cash Hotel. It's not
- 15:47Speaker 2: the most exciting thing in the world, but he is
- 15:49Speaker 2: a very nice guy, very nice guy. Why'd you leave
- 15:52Speaker 2: Garden City?
- 15:54Speaker 7: I moved out to when I'm we talking, I lived
- 15:55Speaker 7: there for forty years, the kids grew up.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Why'd you leave? City? Is beautiful?
- 16:00Speaker 7: Well, I live in I live in the Port Yester area.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Well it's beautiful too, but it's on the way out there.
- 16:05Speaker 7: Well it's very crowded in Garden City. Now, I don't know.
- 16:08Speaker 7: I just laughed. I want to move back to Brooklyn,
- 16:10Speaker 7: to tell you the truth, that's where I was from.
- 16:12Speaker 4: But I can't abord it.
- 16:14Speaker 2: You'ren't that funny. Everybody when they finally make a lot
- 16:16Speaker 2: of money, they leave Brooklyn to go to Garden City.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Now it's the other way around.
- 16:20Speaker 7: I didn't have a lot of money, but.
- 16:21Speaker 2: Now you've got to make a lot of money to
- 16:22Speaker 2: go to Brooklyn.
- 16:26Speaker 7: It's a joke, isn't it.
- 16:27Speaker 2: More all right, thanks for calling. That's funny. Yeah, years
- 16:30Speaker 2: ago Brooklyn queens suddenly made money, moved to Garden City,
- 16:34Speaker 2: moved to Manhassetan, moved to Long Island. Now you'd have
- 16:38Speaker 2: to make a fortune just to live in Brooklyn. It's
- 16:40Speaker 2: the whole opposite. Let's go to Pete in Eastchester.
- 16:42Speaker 3: Pete, how are you doing, hey, Mark, you're a professional speaker, right,
- 16:48Speaker 3: I don't know, I guess, I mean, can you please
- 16:52Speaker 3: do something about this? This up speak? It's now it's
- 16:57Speaker 3: now gotten to the older men, these corporates els you
- 17:00Speaker 3: see on.
- 17:01Speaker 2: TV gives clu is what you're talking about.
- 17:04Speaker 3: The up speak, the way that people speak up and
- 17:07Speaker 3: they talk up.
- 17:07Speaker 2: What do you mean at the end of a sentence?
- 17:11Speaker 3: You mean yes, yes, like a question instead it's not yeah,
- 17:15Speaker 3: there are.
- 17:15Speaker 2: People that do that. It's a it's a like a
- 17:17Speaker 2: it's just an insecurity say where'd you go? Well, we
- 17:20Speaker 2: went to Spain and then we went to uh France. Yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 2: they go up at the end. They there's two things
- 17:28Speaker 2: they do. They go up at the end of a
- 17:29Speaker 2: sentence're right, it's a bad thing. And then they do
- 17:32Speaker 2: the sing song where they talk like this because they
- 17:34Speaker 2: think if you make it a sing song it sounds
- 17:36Speaker 2: more interesting. And then at the end they go up. Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 2: you gotta if you're listening, don't go up at the
- 17:45Speaker 2: end of a sentence ever, ever, ever go up in
- 17:48Speaker 2: the middle, go up in the beginning, and don't do
- 17:51Speaker 2: the sing song because it doesn't sound good. And when
- 17:53Speaker 2: you do it like this, it's kind of annoying. After
- 17:56Speaker 2: a while, Let's go to uh Don and Tom's river
- 17:59Speaker 2: Don and how you doing, low Mark.
- 18:02Speaker 8: Yes, I've had an idea for quite a while on
- 18:06Speaker 8: how the Titanic may have been saved and all the
- 18:09Speaker 8: people saved. Yes, And I'd like to hear from other
- 18:13Speaker 8: people about this opinion. But my feeling is that when
- 18:17Speaker 8: it hit the iceberg, if they had turned it into
- 18:20Speaker 8: reverse and gone full speed in reverse, the bow would
- 18:27Speaker 8: not have sunk in the water.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Well, if you read all the Titanic stuff, apparently the
- 18:32Speaker 2: captain there, they made a lot of mistakes. He didn't
- 18:34Speaker 2: go this way when he should have gone that way,
- 18:36Speaker 2: and as he was hitting it, you're right, he should
- 18:38Speaker 2: have gone this way. And a lot of mistakes from
- 18:41Speaker 2: the captain, a lot of mistakes from the from the
- 18:45Speaker 2: whole the beginning of the whole thing. The ship wasn't
- 18:47Speaker 2: designed to rescue enough passengers, not enough lifeboats. And I'm
- 18:54Speaker 2: not a really Titanic expert, but if you study all
- 18:56Speaker 2: that stuff, there's like nineteen simple mistakes that were made
- 19:01Speaker 2: hours before and when they as they saw the icebergs
- 19:04Speaker 2: that were hitting it, mistakes made on the steering. Yeah,
- 19:07Speaker 2: you're right, it could have been prevented. Let's go to
- 19:09Speaker 2: Vincent and Brooklyn. Vincent, how you doing.
- 19:12Speaker 4: Good morning, Mark, Come morning, Mark, your first caller. He
- 19:15Speaker 4: wants to move back to Brooklyn. Tell him, I got it.
- 19:18Speaker 4: I got a couple of apartments. I'll rent him in
- 19:21Speaker 4: a really tony nagh.
- 19:22Speaker 2: But Mark, how much is it? How much is the apartment?
- 19:26Speaker 4: Uh, you're looking at it? About five thousand dollars a month.
- 19:29Speaker 2: That's a lot for brook Well. I guess not nowadays, right.
- 19:32Speaker 4: It depends where you If you go to Benson or
- 19:36Speaker 4: or further out in Brooklyn. The closer you are to
- 19:40Speaker 4: uh to downtown, the more expensive it is. Because Wall
- 19:44Speaker 4: Street is only two stops away on the train. That's
- 19:47Speaker 4: that's I don't.
- 19:48Speaker 2: Know if i'd want you as the landlord though. It'd
- 19:52Speaker 2: be tough to complain about things.
- 19:54Speaker 4: But you got that right, Mark, speaking about complaints. What
- 19:59Speaker 4: happened with the Juliet Manning. She's Jewish, She's supposed to
- 20:02Speaker 4: be a moderate on the city council. She's the speaker
- 20:06Speaker 4: with this disgusting riot out in mid with Brooklyn the
- 20:10Speaker 4: other night? Where was she? Where was she on the
- 20:14Speaker 4: news the other day speaking out against this? She proposed
- 20:18Speaker 4: this law to have so many feet between the protesters
- 20:22Speaker 4: and the House of Worship. What happened? I haven't believed.
- 20:27Speaker 2: That's a good point. She promised you'd get that done. Yeah,
- 20:30Speaker 2: blame Chuck Schumer. Chuck Schumer is the highest ranking Jewish
- 20:34Speaker 2: official in American government. Where the hell was he? Jewish
- 20:39Speaker 2: people being terrorized by terrorists and writers two knights in
- 20:42Speaker 2: a row in Brooklyn. Schumer hiding Brooklyn and Queens Schumer, all.
- 20:46Speaker 4: Of the Jewish leaders should have been out there complaining
- 20:51Speaker 4: about this, because this is actually tacit a grieving on
- 20:56Speaker 4: Mandami's pipe, and great, if he keeps it up, the
- 21:00Speaker 4: Feds can come in and say you're racially discriminating against
- 21:05Speaker 4: the class of people in New York. You are not protecting.
- 21:09Speaker 4: I hope Donald Trump saw that and his Justice Department
- 21:14Speaker 4: is looking into what I said.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Yeah, well, actually I think they are a harmat Dillon
- 21:18Speaker 2: Justice Department. DJ has already tweeted about it that they're
- 21:21Speaker 2: going to look at it.
- 21:22Speaker 4: I'm sure because he's not doing anything. He should have been.
- 21:25Speaker 4: He should have been the first one, along with Schuma,
- 21:28Speaker 4: along with Jillo Brand and uh with Julia Mennon out
- 21:33Speaker 4: there by stopping this. But because these Arab terrorists in
- 21:38Speaker 4: the city. No, they have a terrorist for a mayor
- 21:43Speaker 4: and his wife who is nothing but his beard. Mayor
- 21:48Speaker 4: Mandami is a finolchio. And don't tell me anything about
- 21:52Speaker 4: that either.
- 21:52Speaker 2: But those who don't know, there was this awful anti
- 21:56Speaker 2: Semitic riot. There was a Jewish Synegau where they were
- 22:01Speaker 2: holding a meeting about something and these these were just
- 22:05Speaker 2: out now terrorists terrorizing them, getting physical, harassing, threatening, menacing
- 22:11Speaker 2: the people there. They claimed they were protesting what was
- 22:15Speaker 2: the land sale that was going on in the Senegague,
- 22:18Speaker 2: but they wandered out six blocks away into it's a
- 22:23Speaker 2: residential neighborhood too, terrorizing people in their homes. The police
- 22:28Speaker 2: on the scene did what they could, but the mayor
- 22:32Speaker 2: and you're right, whereas Julie Menin, the mayor did not
- 22:35Speaker 2: do what he needed to do, which is provide enough police.
- 22:38Speaker 2: And where was the SRG, that Strategic Response Group. That's
- 22:42Speaker 2: what it's for a situation like this. They can respond
- 22:45Speaker 2: in great numbers instantly. They weren't called out. This is
- 22:49Speaker 2: we'll talk about it in the second hour. A lot
- 22:51Speaker 2: to get to. Hey, when we come back, we'll talk
- 22:53Speaker 2: to Kevin Nelan, very funny guy. Coming up next on
- 22:56Speaker 2: seven to ten. Woor It's the Mark Show on seventenor Well.
- 23:04Speaker 2: A great actor, comedian, Kevin Nelan. Hasn't been with us
- 23:08Speaker 2: in a long time. Good to have him back. Kevin
- 23:09Speaker 2: Nelan busier than ever. Make sure you watch his special
- 23:14Speaker 2: Loose in the Crotch. It's gotten millions of views on YouTube.
- 23:17Speaker 2: Loose in the Crotch, a great series, a very funny
- 23:21Speaker 2: series called Hiking with Kevin. Make sure you watch that.
- 23:24Speaker 2: And he's coming to New Jersey this weekend Friday night,
- 23:28Speaker 2: Saturday night. He's at the Stress Factory, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
- 23:32Speaker 2: And get the tickets now because he sells out fast.
- 23:35Speaker 2: You can go to Kevin Neiland's website. He'll be at
- 23:38Speaker 2: the Stress Factory Friday night, Saturday night, New Brunswick, New Jersey.
- 23:42Speaker 2: Kevin Nilan. How you doing?
- 23:46Speaker 3: Nope?
- 23:47Speaker 2: Where'd you go?
- 23:48Speaker 1: Ye?
- 23:49Speaker 2: He's gone. I gave him this big, huge introduction and
- 23:53Speaker 2: he's gone. I don't know the line went dead. We'll
- 23:55Speaker 2: get him back. But he's very funny and and I
- 24:00Speaker 2: love his series Hiking with Kevin. Will we have him back?
- 24:05Speaker 2: Kevin Neilan? How you doing?
- 24:08Speaker 1: Thanks man? How are you good morning?
- 24:09Speaker 2: I just gave you this big, huge introduction, but you
- 24:11Speaker 2: didn't hear it. I guess hey as oh yeah, hey,
- 24:18Speaker 2: New Jersey Stress Factory Friday night, Saturday night. That'll be good.
- 24:23Speaker 2: And you're on tour, right you touring the whole country.
- 24:26Speaker 2: See if he's smart, he won't call back. This is
- 24:27Speaker 2: like three tries already. I see him there. He's calling back,
- 24:31Speaker 2: so hopefully this will sound better. But make sure you
- 24:36Speaker 2: go see him Friday night, Saturday night, Stress Factory. There's
- 24:40Speaker 2: actually a few of them, but he's at New Brunswick,
- 24:42Speaker 2: New Jersey. Kevin Niland Are you there.
- 24:45Speaker 4: Yes, sir?
- 24:46Speaker 2: Oh much better? Sorry about that, but great to have
- 24:51Speaker 2: you with us? So you've been to New Jersey many times?
- 24:54Speaker 2: You've played there, right, I have played there.
- 24:56Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I love the Stress Factory in New Brunswick and always
- 25:00Speaker 1: a great crowd, and it's just one of those clubs
- 25:02Speaker 1: I've been quite a few times and I just love it.
- 25:05Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, everybody goes see them Friday night and Saturday night. Hey,
- 25:08Speaker 2: I love your show Hiking with Kevin. It is a
- 25:11Speaker 2: great show. And were you a big hiker before that?
- 25:15Speaker 1: You know what, I wasn't really a big hiker. I
- 25:17Speaker 1: love to hiking the canyons. I live in Los Angeles,
- 25:19Speaker 1: so you know it's for me. It's very meditated to
- 25:21Speaker 1: go on a hiker or walk through the canyons, and
- 25:25Speaker 1: I get a lot of work there. You know, I'm writing.
- 25:27Speaker 1: I like to write while I'm hiking and work on
- 25:30Speaker 1: my lines for whatever show I'm on with It's Weeds
- 25:32Speaker 1: or you know whatever I'm doing that time. And you know,
- 25:36Speaker 1: I came up with this show, which is on YouTube.
- 25:38Speaker 1: I would be walking, I hear these interesting conversations from
- 25:41Speaker 1: people passing me by, and I almost want to follow
- 25:44Speaker 1: them to hear the rest of the conversation. So I
- 25:46Speaker 1: thought now that might be a nice twist on a podcast.
- 25:49Speaker 2: See I love I walk a million miles a day,
- 25:52Speaker 2: but in the middle of Manhattan. I think that's more
- 25:54Speaker 2: interesting than being out in the woods. It's a little
- 25:56Speaker 2: You must have had some stars, You've had all every
- 25:59Speaker 2: great commit eat, but there must be some who don't
- 26:02Speaker 2: want to go hiking. Have you ever had that problem?
- 26:04Speaker 4: Oh?
- 26:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I've had done a few times. Like I asked
- 26:07Speaker 1: Larry David, I who you want to go? And he
- 26:08Speaker 1: texted me back just simply, no, I.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Don't want to now da da dy.
- 26:15Speaker 1: David Spade is like pulling teeth, you know, because he
- 26:18Speaker 1: doesn't want to climb up the hill. They had to
- 26:20Speaker 1: be perfectly flat, and he doesn't want to go during
- 26:22Speaker 1: rush hour traffic.
- 26:25Speaker 2: Now Seinfeld comedians and cars getting coffee, that's easy because
- 26:28Speaker 2: you just get coffee and he even picks you up. So, uh,
- 26:31Speaker 2: didn't you think about something simpler like.
- 26:35Speaker 1: Lunch with Yeah, yeah, sugarhead, I'm.
- 26:37Speaker 2: Sorry, No, I mean it's a lot of work on
- 26:40Speaker 2: this show. Do you ever have anybody who surprised you
- 26:42Speaker 2: how how good they were hiking?
- 26:46Speaker 1: Well, you know, it's funny. It is a lot of work,
- 26:47Speaker 1: but people will get to my to the trailhead where
- 26:50Speaker 1: I meet them, and they'll say, where's your crew? And
- 26:52Speaker 1: I say, well, it was just me and I have
- 26:54Speaker 1: a self you know, selfie.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Stick with it.
- 26:56Speaker 1: You go proNT the end and I fly a drone
- 26:57Speaker 1: and I go home and I edit it. So, you know,
- 27:00Speaker 1: I think communities and cars might be a little slicker
- 27:02Speaker 1: looking because they have a whole crew and staff and
- 27:04Speaker 1: all that. But that's what mine's meant to be. It
- 27:06Speaker 1: is meant to be more homespun. Yeah, some of the
- 27:09Speaker 1: hikers that had have been you know, I mentioned Spade before.
- 27:13Speaker 1: He's not a hiker. He's not a hiker at all.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Sometimes when people show up with a cup of coffee,
- 27:22Speaker 1: I know that they're not into it.
- 27:23Speaker 2: You know, Well, I like your technique better because Seinfeldt
- 27:27Speaker 2: show is great, but they have like seven cars all
- 27:29Speaker 2: around them with cameras coming out of every window and
- 27:32Speaker 2: at twelve cameras in the restaurant. You really don't need
- 27:35Speaker 2: all that anymore, do you.
- 27:37Speaker 1: Well, you know, I think works for him. People that
- 27:39Speaker 1: love cars, I think like to watch that show. But no,
- 27:42Speaker 1: it is you're right. Nowadays you don't really need a
- 27:44Speaker 1: lot of technology. Surrounding you because it's all kind of
- 27:48Speaker 1: crammed into one thing now and with AI especially, it's
- 27:52Speaker 1: getting more and more easy.
- 27:54Speaker 2: Yeah, because when you do a movie, you show up there,
- 27:57Speaker 2: there's like forty seven trailers and nine trucks and six
- 27:59Speaker 2: on there people working at what it is kind of
- 28:01Speaker 2: a waste of money. Look, look how much you get
- 28:03Speaker 2: done by yourself with a selfie stick for twenty two bucks?
- 28:06Speaker 2: Much easier, right, I know it, I know it. I
- 28:10Speaker 2: love doing it.
- 28:11Speaker 1: It's fun to do it too. I've done over one
- 28:12Speaker 1: hundred and fifty hikes I think over the last seven years.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Yeah, so everybody go on line watch it. It's great. Also, Hey,
- 28:19Speaker 2: I love you and the Conan O'Brien together. You did that,
- 28:21Speaker 2: you did the podcast, and he's now the Oscar host.
- 28:25Speaker 2: Looks like permanently right, Yeah, it seems that way.
- 28:29Speaker 1: But nothing's permanent, of course, but he seems like he's
- 28:33Speaker 1: got a good gig going. Yeah. I've known Conan for
- 28:35Speaker 1: thirty five thirty seven years, you know, since he was
- 28:37Speaker 1: a writer in SNL. Yeah, so we have a good
- 28:40Speaker 1: kind of rapport with each other and good chemistry and
- 28:44Speaker 1: it always seems to make people laugh. So I enjoy
- 28:47Speaker 1: visiting him whenever I can.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Yeah, so there's a million comedians in the world today.
- 28:51Speaker 2: Nobody's ever heard of their younger. But see, you guys
- 28:53Speaker 2: are like I don't mean an age, but you guys
- 28:55Speaker 2: are like status wise, you're like the elder statesman. You
- 28:58Speaker 2: and Conan, you're like the the grown ups in the bunch.
- 29:02Speaker 2: So there must feel good.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Well, I don't know if you could call any comic
- 29:05Speaker 1: or grown up, but yeah, we've certainly have been around
- 29:07Speaker 1: quite a bit and we have become the older statesman.
- 29:11Speaker 1: I guess over a period of time, but we finally
- 29:13Speaker 1: slid into that spot.
- 29:18Speaker 5: Now.
- 29:18Speaker 2: I like that Conan podcast. You do some great podcasts.
- 29:20Speaker 2: But don't you think there should be some sort of law,
- 29:23Speaker 2: Like shouldn't every amateur in the world now has a podcast.
- 29:26Speaker 2: My dentist has a podcast. Everybody's got a podcast. Don't
- 29:29Speaker 2: you think there should be like you have to be
- 29:30Speaker 2: licensed from now on, a licensed professional to do this.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Yes, certainly, as a dentist you should be licensed. But yeah,
- 29:39Speaker 1: I remember, I don't know if you remember this, but
- 29:41Speaker 1: you used to have to get Element nine pass to
- 29:43Speaker 1: be a distract euro radio.
- 29:45Speaker 2: How did you know that? Wow?
- 29:47Speaker 1: Oh, because in college we had a radio station and
- 29:49Speaker 1: I sailed that I could. Yeah, but now I guess
- 29:54Speaker 1: you don't need it.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Right Well, believe it or not. Back then you had
- 29:57Speaker 2: in the seventies or whatever, eighties, you had to have
- 29:59Speaker 2: an FCC license to be It wasn't to be on
- 30:02Speaker 2: the air, It was to run the transmitter, which many
- 30:05Speaker 2: DJs had to do. Yeah, it was elements one, three,
- 30:07Speaker 2: and nine. Nine was the tough one. So were you
- 30:12Speaker 2: ever thinking of being a radio person professionally?
- 30:15Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah. Our college had a radio station, so
- 30:19Speaker 1: I was kind of toying with that idea of, you know,
- 30:23Speaker 1: working there as at DJ, But it didn't come to
- 30:27Speaker 1: fruition because I couldn't pass that. So I guess it
- 30:29Speaker 1: was meant to be. Well, that's that's life. Unfortunately, you
- 30:33Speaker 1: ended up being a big star on SNL. I think
- 30:35Speaker 1: it turned out all right for you. So, hey, I
- 30:37Speaker 1: love your I had a good run. Yeah, I love
- 30:39Speaker 1: the special Loosing the Crotch. You got another one coming up?
- 30:44Speaker 1: Oh well, I just shot that one, so hopefully I
- 30:46Speaker 1: do have another one coming up eventually. But yeah, that
- 30:49Speaker 1: one I just came out a couple of months ago.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Loosing the crotch and you know, I haven't done a
- 30:53Speaker 1: special in about ten years, so this is kind of
- 30:56Speaker 1: some really well tuned material and a little different from
- 31:02Speaker 1: my previous specials. So I was excited about that. And
- 31:05Speaker 1: people are really you know, finding it and loving it
- 31:09Speaker 1: and spreading the words. So I'm really happy about that.
- 31:11Speaker 2: Yeah, it's good. Go on YouTube you can see hey. Also,
- 31:14Speaker 2: Kevin Neiland has a new film coming up, Mermaid. Robert Patrick,
- 31:19Speaker 2: Johnny Pemberton. What kind of film is that says? Comedy, horror, thriller.
- 31:22Speaker 2: That's a lot in one film.
- 31:24Speaker 1: It is, Yes, the comedy thriller, horror, and it was
- 31:28Speaker 1: really fun doing it. It's such a bizarre concept, you know.
- 31:32Speaker 1: This these this mermaid is discovered by the character played
- 31:36Speaker 1: by Johnny Pepperton. He's a percoset attic and he's on
- 31:40Speaker 1: the run from of these drugs got dealers that want
- 31:42Speaker 1: money from him, and he finds this wounded mermaid who
- 31:46Speaker 1: was shot. Because these mermaids are not just typical mermaids,
- 31:49Speaker 1: they are kind of like killer mermaids. They the spaces
- 31:52Speaker 1: are disgusting looking, and you know, so he has to
- 31:55Speaker 1: kind of conceal this mermaid while the drug dealers are
- 31:58Speaker 1: chasing him and he's kind of it's fall out in
- 32:01Speaker 1: love with this mermaid who he keeps doped up on
- 32:03Speaker 1: percocet the whole time.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Who the hell came up with this plot? That's that's
- 32:07Speaker 2: pretty intricate. So hey, have you ever turned down a
- 32:12Speaker 2: film and then it turned out to be the biggest
- 32:13Speaker 2: hit in the world.
- 32:15Speaker 1: No, I take everything that's offered to me. I've taken
- 32:21Speaker 1: films that will turned out to be the biggest disappointment
- 32:23Speaker 1: in the world to me.
- 32:26Speaker 2: That everyone but hey, Kevin Neilan, we're out of time,
- 32:28Speaker 2: but thanks for doing this. Now, everybody goes see Kevin
- 32:30Speaker 2: Neal And he's appearing this Friday night and Saturday night
- 32:34Speaker 2: at the Stress Factory in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Stress Factory,
- 32:38Speaker 2: New Brunswick, New Jersey. Friday night and Saturday night, you
- 32:41Speaker 2: can see Kevin Neallan. Go to his website. You can
- 32:43Speaker 2: buy the tickets there and get the tickets because he
- 32:45Speaker 2: sells out. And Kevin Nealon great talking to you. Thanks
- 32:48Speaker 2: for being with us, you too, and so much. Thank you.
- 32:52Speaker 2: All right, take care, Hey, don't forget At noon today,
- 32:56Speaker 2: Buck and Clay do an excellent show. Every day twelve noon.

- 33:09Speaker 2: every night. Jimmy Fayla really funny show, great host, great comedian.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Jimmy Fayl is now on WR nine to midnight, seven
- 33:17Speaker 2: to ten WR. If you're listening to Mark on the iHeartRadio.
- 33:21Speaker 6: App, save time and tap the preset button.
- 33:24Speaker 4: Now.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Now back to the Mark Simone Show on WOR. Okay,
- 33:30Speaker 2: not bad today, not great, not bad to feel okay tomorrow,
- 33:33Speaker 2: a lot of rains, a rainy day tomorrow, rain Friday,
