- 0:01Speaker 1: Because Fuck You That's Why is a founding member of
- 0:03Speaker 1: the Odd Pods Media number.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Hello and welcome to b fyt W Because fuck You
- 0:41Speaker 2: That's Why. Show number three hundred and thirty four.
- 0:48Speaker 3: It sounds like that should be something.
- 0:52Speaker 2: Something, but it is it's not. Now we passed three
- 0:56Speaker 2: thirty three without giving a ship that it was a
- 0:58Speaker 2: chill show. So now we're just on thirty four. We're
- 1:01Speaker 2: coming up on three fifty, that's true, coming up on
- 1:04Speaker 2: three fifties, going to do.
- 1:06Speaker 4: We didn't give a shit about the first one hundred numbers.
- 1:08Speaker 4: We just even just started reusing old numbers.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we did, like ninety six point five, ninety
- 1:15Speaker 2: eight point six. It's crazy when you don't do that,
- 1:18Speaker 2: how far you go. But shit, we don't real life either.
- 1:22Speaker 2: So there's the lombring is probably off, but who gives
- 1:24Speaker 2: a fuck? Probably extremely anal people. B FY tw is
- 1:31Speaker 2: and will hopefully always be a panel show inspired podcast
- 1:35Speaker 2: about three silly people playing three silly games and having
- 1:38Speaker 2: a whole lot of silly fun along with you along
- 1:40Speaker 2: the way. Hopefully we're gonna we're gonna have an absolute
- 1:44Speaker 2: glass we always do, and I'm gonna start it off
- 1:47Speaker 2: by introducing some of my favorite people to you. First
- 1:49Speaker 2: of all, he is a gamer and a storyteller. He
- 1:51Speaker 2: used to be me and his friend. Now he's Ugie.
- 1:58Speaker 2: He's again. Yeah, I'll give it up real good. I
- 2:20Speaker 2: wish that babe was as smooth as that song. A
- 2:26Speaker 2: little too hard? All right, Well, I'll give you a
- 2:30Speaker 2: minute to think about because I ambushed you with this
- 2:33Speaker 2: our introductory. Our introductory question is going to be is
- 2:37Speaker 2: there a tech toy that you're looking forward to playing with?
- 2:44Speaker 2: I picked this question specifically because I know Stevie hasn't.
- 2:47Speaker 2: How would you specify? How would you specify tech toy
- 2:51Speaker 2: something tech hardware or software hardware hard either if you
- 2:56Speaker 2: have a if you have a good software answer, I'll
- 2:58Speaker 2: take Well.
- 2:58Speaker 4: I was thinking about I want to get Steam Os
- 3:00Speaker 4: on my computer, my Amdah, so I haven't done it.
- 3:04Speaker 2: You're gonna make a real Steam machine?
- 3:06Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, I mean that's the thing about Steam
- 3:08Speaker 4: machine was Steam os. Anything can become a steam machine,
- 3:11Speaker 4: right yeah, And my my, my recently bought and like
- 3:16Speaker 4: top of the line before everything went the fucking shit
- 3:19Speaker 4: AMD computer that can handle Steam Os.
- 3:21Speaker 2: No, I'm just gonna say, both for you and for
- 3:23Speaker 2: our listeners, and you probably already know this, but just
- 3:26Speaker 2: for our listeners at home, anyone who might be interested
- 3:28Speaker 2: in doing something similar, I highly recommend that you have
- 3:31Speaker 2: an am D card, yes, when you make a Steam machine,
- 3:34Speaker 2: because while there are Linux drivers for Nvidia cards, they
- 3:39Speaker 2: are not as good. Yeah. Am D cards seem to
- 3:42Speaker 2: handle better on Linux for whatever reason. So if you
- 3:45Speaker 2: make a Linux a Steam os machine with an am
- 3:49Speaker 2: D card, you will be happy and probably have fewer problems. Yes, yeah,
- 3:53Speaker 2: So that's the only reason I bring it up.
- 3:55Speaker 1: Right, No, it makes sense because some people aren't gonna know,
- 3:58Speaker 1: and that's what's holding me back because.
- 3:59Speaker 3: I do have and I haven't InVideo, which is fine.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I mean, at some point I'm gonna either just put
- 4:05Speaker 1: it on there anyway or I'll just build something else,
- 4:09Speaker 1: which I probably won't do.
- 4:10Speaker 4: My computer I use literally like back in the day. Sure,
- 4:14Speaker 4: when I was in college, I used it for research
- 4:16Speaker 4: and stuff like that, even decide to use it a
- 4:18Speaker 4: little bit for like business, holding files and stuff like that.
- 4:21Speaker 4: I exclusively just use it for gaming and browsing YouTube,
- 4:25Speaker 4: and that is it. I don't I don't even browse
- 4:27Speaker 4: any other social media unites.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I literally do not need windows at all.
- 4:32Speaker 4: Windows is just a fucking bloat on myself.
- 4:35Speaker 2: It's a nightmare and it's getting worse.
- 4:39Speaker 3: That's why they're so scared.
- 4:40Speaker 2: And speaking of being a nightmare and getting worse podcaster
- 4:45Speaker 2: and he technically he's a veteran podcast. It's your favorite
- 4:50Speaker 2: joy goblin and mind it's Stevie, It's Steve. They don't
- 5:00Speaker 2: don't get any weirder. No, man, my ball is shaped
- 5:04Speaker 2: by so many letters.
- 5:05Speaker 4: They do get weirder, but they also have to get worse.
- 5:09Speaker 2: Thankfully, are Stevie is in prime condition? Stevie?
- 5:14Speaker 4: Is there just right amount of weird but not the
- 5:17Speaker 4: right amount of worse?
- 5:18Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 5:19Speaker 2: Thankfully. Yeah, Stevie, is there a tech toy that you
- 5:21Speaker 2: are looking for playing with?
- 5:23Speaker 5: No?
- 5:24Speaker 3: Oh, Jess, we'll move.
- 5:29Speaker 2: On to me. I was right there. I was ready.
- 5:34Speaker 2: That's amazing. Yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Actually I Aaron was kind enough to uh release what
- 5:41Speaker 1: if his game?
- 5:42Speaker 3: Handheld game councils.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah, I have for too many anyway, And Stevie was like, hey,
- 5:47Speaker 2: I'm kind of interested in buying one. I'm like, holy shit,
- 5:50Speaker 2: I should probably sell some of these. I literally have
- 5:53Speaker 2: a bag full sitting on my bedroom floor that just
- 5:56Speaker 2: sit there.
- 5:57Speaker 4: A good handhold game is It's nice.
- 6:00Speaker 2: It really is.
- 6:01Speaker 3: You can do but you are going balse a lot tiers. Yeah,
- 6:05Speaker 3: because when I do something, though, I go.
- 6:07Speaker 2: All in what you want exactly from me.
- 6:11Speaker 1: So what I'm what I'm getting from is a rog
- 6:16Speaker 1: l I X that the top one, baby, Yeah, Aaron's
- 6:20Speaker 1: I already got like what you say, there's a terribyte
- 6:22Speaker 1: in there.
- 6:22Speaker 2: Already, there's a terribyt drive in it. There's a slot
- 6:27Speaker 2: for an SD car so you can add you know,
- 6:29Speaker 2: more space if you need to. It's it's got a
- 6:34Speaker 2: battery that lasts, and it's probably the longest lasting battery
- 6:37Speaker 2: out of all of the handheld pieces of that range. Uh,
- 6:42Speaker 2: it is to me, and at the time that I
- 6:44Speaker 2: bought it, it was the like the top of the tier,
- 6:46Speaker 2: like it was the best possible handheld. It was stronger
- 6:49Speaker 2: than the steam deck it, you know, it was. Uh.
- 6:53Speaker 2: It runs on windows, which is kind of a mark
- 6:55Speaker 2: against it as opposed to the other ones that run
- 6:58Speaker 2: like steam and less and stuff. But that also means
- 7:01Speaker 2: that you can do other things with it, such as
- 7:03Speaker 2: that time it's saved our episode three hundred when we
- 7:08Speaker 2: were in Colorado. Springs and couldn't get the show to
- 7:11Speaker 2: run off of.
- 7:12Speaker 4: The Christ talk about that and people just don't seem
- 7:15Speaker 4: I'm like, it was a it's a handheld device. Show
- 7:19Speaker 4: off a handheld keep.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Meaning to reach out to like asis and tell them
- 7:24Speaker 2: about that on social media and just tell them the
- 7:27Speaker 2: story about how the r O G l i X
- 7:29Speaker 2: saved our three hundred episode.
- 7:32Speaker 4: Bring a laptop or bring a fucking desktop and plug.
- 7:37Speaker 4: It was a fucking game Boy into a system.
- 7:41Speaker 2: And it worked. It's a bit bigger than Boy like
- 7:44Speaker 2: too game Boys, game Boy Advance.
- 7:49Speaker 4: It's a game Boy Advance that.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Flips, but it also games really well. Uh yeah, It's
- 7:56Speaker 2: just it's a phenomenal device and it honestly has been
- 7:59Speaker 2: sitting on my ask on us and unloved. So when
- 8:02Speaker 2: Stevie brought that to my attention he said he would
- 8:04Speaker 2: be interested by it, I'm like, hell yeah, man, I
- 8:07Speaker 2: got excited. I'm like, yeah, absolutely, man. So I you know,
- 8:10Speaker 2: I started cleaning up, getting my accounts off there and
- 8:13Speaker 2: ship and it's it's ready for him. I'm just waiting
- 8:16Speaker 2: for the money and then it's.
- 8:16Speaker 3: All his corner. A couple of times for anyone.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Wants to donate to be to help Stevie get We
- 8:25Speaker 2: would both appreciate it.
- 8:28Speaker 4: You can't afford it, door, I can't.
- 8:30Speaker 2: I can't.
- 8:30Speaker 3: I can't tell doll don't fucking send money. That's alright,
- 8:34Speaker 3: I would feel horrible.
- 8:36Speaker 2: Yeah, well, tell me about like the fucking the audio
- 8:42Speaker 2: book for my second book, because I had both Kristin
- 8:45Speaker 2: and c J offering to just give me money for it,
- 8:47Speaker 2: and I'm like, guys, please stop, please stop. I can't.
- 8:50Speaker 2: I can't. My heart can't take it. I know they
- 8:53Speaker 2: mean well, and I know they just want it to exist,
- 8:55Speaker 2: and so do I. But I'm like, that's that's a
- 8:57Speaker 2: lot of pressure.
- 8:59Speaker 4: I'm gonna make those bitches read.
- 9:03Speaker 2: No. I do want to. I do want to actually
- 9:06Speaker 2: do the audiobook, and I'll talk to you about it
- 9:08Speaker 2: once we're off air, because I think it's project bring
- 9:11Speaker 2: due in the next couple of months. What if you're
- 9:13Speaker 2: up for it? Yes? Okay? Oh crap?
- 9:16Speaker 3: Oh no?
- 9:17Speaker 6: Oh no?
- 9:18Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, oh I'm gonna have to cry hard.
- 9:23Speaker 6: The most What was that you said to me that
- 9:25Speaker 6: if you ever did another one, you'd have you as
- 9:27Speaker 6: like security guard one or something. You want to be
- 9:29Speaker 6: sure random background character named he just says, un named.
- 9:35Speaker 2: I don't want to get anybody. I don't want to
- 9:37Speaker 2: get anybody.
- 9:38Speaker 3: Too excited it why not, I'm excited.
- 9:42Speaker 2: It's an idea that's been percolating. So anyway, that's it
- 9:46Speaker 2: for Stevie. Uh, it is now time for me to
- 9:48Speaker 2: introduce myself. I am the host and games master. You
- 9:52Speaker 2: may call me pantiless err and all you hit it
- 10:06Speaker 2: some stars for.
- 10:11Speaker 3: It's so good. It's so fucking good.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Sorry already, God damn it. My tech toy, well, don't
- 10:17Speaker 2: worry about it, all right. My tech toy that I'm
- 10:19Speaker 2: looking forward to playing with is I have already spent
- 10:23Speaker 2: the money that Stevie's going to give me.
- 10:26Speaker 1: It's literally, yeah, the same, exactly.
- 10:30Speaker 2: You're not wrong. I bought a different handed. You liked
- 10:34Speaker 2: your idea, you just bought a duplicate. No, I didn't
- 10:37Speaker 2: buy the same thing I bought. That would be crazy,
- 10:42Speaker 2: but I wouldn't put it past me. No. I bought
- 10:44Speaker 2: a GPD wind Max, the twenty twenty three version. The
- 10:50Speaker 2: other one it is. Yeah, it's the upgraded version of
- 10:53Speaker 2: the GPT and wind Max, which is a handheld laptop
- 10:57Speaker 2: slash gaming console because it has game controller, buttons, and
- 11:01Speaker 2: analog STIs built right into the damn thing. But it
- 11:04Speaker 2: also has a full keyboard and is large enough to
- 11:08Speaker 2: be usable as like a very small laptop. Oh wow.
- 11:11Speaker 2: But it's also light enough that you can carry it
- 11:13Speaker 2: and use it as a portable games machine. And I
- 11:15Speaker 2: have done that with my GPD wind Max, at least
- 11:18Speaker 2: until I bought the borrow g Lax. Then I stopped
- 11:20Speaker 2: using the wind Max right and then eventually's like, oh no,
- 11:24Speaker 2: I need to go buy it. I have to come
- 11:26Speaker 2: clean here and admit a failing of mine, which is
- 11:28Speaker 2: that I, while setting up one of my machines, I
- 11:32Speaker 2: think it was the Pants Station steam Machine, I cracked
- 11:36Speaker 2: open the GPD wind Max to get the hard drive
- 11:40Speaker 2: out of it, because again it was a device that
- 11:42Speaker 2: I wasn't using, and it had an ENVM in it,
- 11:44Speaker 2: and I'm like, that would be useful for the steam machine.
- 11:46Speaker 2: So I pulled it. But in the process I somehow
- 11:49Speaker 2: managed to damage the speakers. So the speakers on my
- 11:52Speaker 2: wind Max do a lot of work. So with no sound,
- 11:56Speaker 2: it's not.
- 11:56Speaker 3: The same, it's not any fun.
- 11:59Speaker 2: So I haven't bought They're putting like another MBM in
- 12:02Speaker 2: it or anything like that. But then I started looking
- 12:04Speaker 2: at like what was available online and knowing that prices
- 12:07Speaker 2: are still going to keep rising for computer stuff and
- 12:10Speaker 2: computer parts, I was like, I could wait for the
- 12:13Speaker 2: GPD Win Max three, which is scheduled to drop in
- 12:16Speaker 2: maybe a couple of months. It was going to be
- 12:19Speaker 2: like the highest end thing, but it would also cost
- 12:21Speaker 2: like an arm and a leg. Yeah, somewhere between sixteen
- 12:24Speaker 2: hundred and two.
- 12:27Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:27Speaker 2: I was like, that's that's not much, not without an
- 12:34Speaker 2: appropriate wayfall. So I spent a little bit more. What's
- 12:37Speaker 2: in that?
- 12:38Speaker 3: I need to know what is in that fucking thing?
- 12:40Speaker 2: Goldih better, I need to know. The wind Max three
- 12:44Speaker 2: has a rise in AI Max three ninety five. It
- 12:49Speaker 2: has AMD Radion eighty sixty s in integrated graphics, which
- 12:56Speaker 2: like are comparable with like a twenty seventy or twenty
- 13:00Speaker 2: twenty sixty graphics card. Like the integrated graphics on these
- 13:04Speaker 2: no frigging joke, But as it is the one that
- 13:08Speaker 2: I'm getting. The Win Max two from twenty twenty three,
- 13:12Speaker 2: it has a riz in seventy eight forty U with
- 13:15Speaker 2: seven to eighty M integrated graphics, which is the same
- 13:18Speaker 2: as that Mini PC that I bought that I liked
- 13:20Speaker 2: so much. Yeah, and that could play a lot of
- 13:23Speaker 2: Triple A games with like no trouble whatsoever. It even
- 13:26Speaker 2: played like fucking Indiana Jones in the Great Circle and
- 13:29Speaker 2: one at like thirty fps before I put a graphics
- 13:32Speaker 2: card on the an external graphics card on it, so
- 13:34Speaker 2: it's pretty strong. And on top of it, that fucking thing,
- 13:38Speaker 2: the one that I bought, has sixty four gigs of
- 13:40Speaker 2: RAM the fuck and it has four terrorbytes of hard
- 13:45Speaker 2: drives two two terrabytes. Oh my god, yeah, this thing is,
- 13:50Speaker 2: this thing is max to the fucking.
- 13:52Speaker 4: Still could only fit half of his porn though.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yeah no, not even half. I mean, come on now,
- 13:57Speaker 2: way more. It was. It was basically somebody took get
- 14:00Speaker 2: pimped out and then turned around and sold it, and
- 14:02Speaker 2: they were only you could take that.
- 14:04Speaker 3: You and we could all play like on the computer together,
- 14:07Speaker 3: like you can hook the.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Absolutely I mean well, I mean yeah, we could hook,
- 14:13Speaker 2: but we could do the same for the Ally. We
- 14:15Speaker 2: could do the same thing for the Ally if we
- 14:16Speaker 2: wanted to. We can absolutely do that. That's not an issue.
- 14:21Speaker 2: When you first said that, I was picturing the three
- 14:23Speaker 2: of us sitting there with handheld PCs playing a game together.
- 14:26Speaker 2: Like I was like, holy ship, Yeah, we could do that.
- 14:30Speaker 1: We do that like that over that spaceship game we
- 14:34Speaker 1: all played.
- 14:36Speaker 7: Ship.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Yeah, oh.
- 14:40Speaker 3: We should at some point.
- 14:41Speaker 4: You've probably seen Artemis played at like conventions. I know
- 14:44Speaker 4: I've seen like that, but like playing it back at
- 14:49Speaker 4: the House of Awesome with like, well two different chips.
- 14:54Speaker 2: That was so fucking awesome. That was so good.
- 14:58Speaker 4: That was probably the closest thing to a good start game.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Get Yeah, it was phenomenal.
- 15:03Speaker 2: But there are better ones. There are other ones too,
- 15:05Speaker 2: people come up with since then, so we can do
- 15:08Speaker 2: it online probably anyway. This has been the longest, but
- 15:16Speaker 2: we love you. This is normal.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I didn't Wow, we were talking for so long. I
- 15:21Speaker 1: forgot we already started the show.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Good job. Yeah, all right, So we're going to get
- 15:28Speaker 2: into our games. Our first game is called Have I
- 15:30Speaker 2: Got Good News for You? I've got three news stories,
- 15:33Speaker 2: and all our players have to do is tell me
- 15:35Speaker 2: which one of the three I called my favorite news
- 15:38Speaker 2: story of the week, the one I thought was the
- 15:40Speaker 2: best news. The player gives me the best news, or
- 15:44Speaker 2: if neither does, the player who gives me the second
- 15:47Speaker 2: best news of the week, will win the game and
- 15:50Speaker 2: earn one episode point. Our first news story, robots smart
- 15:54Speaker 2: toilet comes to you and takes your poop away. Give one. First,
- 16:00Speaker 2: they took my job, and now they're gonna take my poop. Yeah,
- 16:02Speaker 2: pretty much. I mean we've all had We've all had
- 16:06Speaker 2: that nighttime episode where you just wake up and all
- 16:09Speaker 2: of a sudden, you gotta go it. Yes, and it
- 16:11Speaker 2: sucks waking up and getting on a bed and crossing
- 16:14Speaker 2: the apartment like every morning. Could you imagine just waking up,
- 16:19Speaker 2: getting that feeling, pressing a button on your nightstand and
- 16:23Speaker 2: just waiting approximately thirty seconds, and the toilet rolls up
- 16:26Speaker 2: to your bedside and you just get out, sit on it,
- 16:29Speaker 2: do your business. When you're finished, the toilet carries it
- 16:32Speaker 2: back to the bathroom and flushes and cleans and even
- 16:36Speaker 2: sanitizes itself. There's even like a little sprits of deodorant
- 16:39Speaker 2: in the air after it's done.
- 16:40Speaker 1: I hope at some point future Stevie gets to experience
- 16:43Speaker 1: this thing in his life. I really, really fucking do.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Want me to introduce you to the shell Bond, the
- 16:49Speaker 2: world's first automated self driving robot toilet. This smart throne
- 16:57Speaker 2: at the press of a button, we'll detach from its
- 17:00Speaker 2: docking station and using a pathfinding system, it navigates its
- 17:05Speaker 2: way to your bedside so it can receive your waste,
- 17:10Speaker 2: your evil do do do poopy things. It's so great.
- 17:15Speaker 2: It does honestly have a noble purpose. There are people
- 17:18Speaker 2: who could really use this, anybody who's like, anyone who
- 17:22Speaker 2: has trouble getting to the bathroom, and people with movement issues.
- 17:26Speaker 2: This is fantastic. It's so smart. There is a downside.
- 17:31Speaker 2: It spits at you every now and then. These what
- 17:36Speaker 2: does it spect? However, these these these folks with these
- 17:41Speaker 2: issues better have some deep pockets.
- 17:43Speaker 3: Well, yeah, ten thousand.
- 17:45Speaker 2: No, no, it's nearly five thousands.
- 17:47Speaker 3: Oh okay, I look at tolet.
- 17:50Speaker 2: That's the cost of the unit itself. Okay, now, this
- 17:56Speaker 2: is nothing new. People have had like chamber pots for
- 18:00Speaker 2: a lot of history. However, of course, the un the
- 18:03Speaker 2: downside of a chamber pot is that you have to
- 18:05Speaker 2: empty it. If you live alone and you actually need one,
- 18:09Speaker 2: it can be difficult to reach the plumbing wall holding
- 18:12Speaker 2: the thing, but the jabond aims to make that much
- 18:15Speaker 2: much easier. It is apparently the world's first self driving
- 18:20Speaker 2: fully automatic robot toilet.
- 18:22Speaker 1: It's fucking cool, you know what, It's good. I'm fine
- 18:26Speaker 1: with it starting around five grande, I really am. You know,
- 18:28Speaker 1: this is a breakthrough. You're gonna get a bunch of
- 18:30Speaker 1: other companies making the same types of things now too
- 18:33Speaker 1: to lower price. Anyway, They're gonna be competition, and in
- 18:36Speaker 1: about fifteen years, common people like us will be a
- 18:38Speaker 1: little forward one.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean yeah, eventually, as the dimensions will cover
- 18:43Speaker 2: it and as the cost of materials goes down, it
- 18:45Speaker 2: will become more affordable. That is, that is typically how
- 18:49Speaker 2: things work in the world. However, I do have to
- 18:52Speaker 2: say one thing that may put people off is that
- 18:54Speaker 2: it does use AI. It has an AI three D
- 18:56Speaker 2: obstacle avoidance system, which is part of its state the
- 19:00Speaker 2: art led our technology to interpret its surroundings and avoid
- 19:03Speaker 2: hitting things.
- 19:04Speaker 8: So yeah, this is one of the few times where
- 19:11Speaker 8: I would be okay with the use of AI.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Would if AI is actively put to use, like improving
- 19:18Speaker 2: human lives or increasing someone's standard or living, then that's great, fantastic.
- 19:25Speaker 2: You know, I obviously have an issue with it trying
- 19:27Speaker 2: to create human art, because it cannot produce actual creativity,
- 19:32Speaker 2: not stealing it just produces garbage and like the stuff
- 19:36Speaker 2: that we see like every now and then I see
- 19:38Speaker 2: somebody on like Blue Sky or Threads like trying to
- 19:41Speaker 2: post like this is I did this on AI and
- 19:43Speaker 2: it's it's as good as Hollywood could do with a
- 19:46Speaker 2: five hundred dollars bunch. I'm like, yeah, but it's soulless
- 19:49Speaker 2: and empty and it's nowhere near it like you can
- 19:54Speaker 2: always do. People who have wanted to be artists and
- 19:58Speaker 2: just had no talent whatsoever now have the convenient excuse
- 20:02Speaker 2: of AI.
- 20:03Speaker 9: Right.
- 20:04Speaker 4: I would love to know how to draw properly, like
- 20:07Speaker 4: straight lines and all that ship, but I'm not about
- 20:09Speaker 4: to use an AI to do everything from me and
- 20:11Speaker 4: claim it as my own.
- 20:12Speaker 2: But this this kind of thing.
- 20:16Speaker 4: That'd be like me telling a joke here and like
- 20:19Speaker 4: or having an AI like tell what's the joke, and
- 20:22Speaker 4: then I say, I'm like, I came up with that
- 20:23Speaker 4: joke with me.
- 20:25Speaker 2: Yeah, Like if only AI was any good at writing humor,
- 20:29Speaker 2: Oh thank god, it isn't.
- 20:32Speaker 4: It's the one that's doesn't understand the nuance of humor
- 20:37Speaker 4: because everybody's people are.
- 20:39Speaker 2: Still talking about like you know, the first AI movie
- 20:42Speaker 2: or the first day, this and that, Like, who on
- 20:45Speaker 2: earth is going to want to watch that?
- 20:47Speaker 4: You skipped over the fact that also TikTok is calling
- 20:49Speaker 4: it a gaming chair.
- 20:51Speaker 2: Oh the throne.
- 20:52Speaker 4: Yeah, it's a gamer chair, so you never have to
- 20:55Speaker 4: leave your computer like gaming.
- 20:57Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 20:59Speaker 2: I don't think I would do that or care to
- 21:01Speaker 2: live like that.
- 21:02Speaker 3: But you know, no, if you're if you're so, if
- 21:06Speaker 3: you're unable to, I get it.
- 21:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Unable to is one thing. Able to and just not
- 21:10Speaker 4: wanting to is another.
- 21:11Speaker 2: All right, that's me. Let's move on to our second story. Yeah,
- 21:16Speaker 2: gravity did not fail for second seven seconds on August twelfth.
- 21:20Speaker 2: This should not be news, but here we are. Well
- 21:24Speaker 2: fuck yeah, nobody test gravity. In a complete and shocking
- 21:29Speaker 2: turn of events, we did not plummet to our deaths today,
- 21:32Speaker 2: No shit, good for us.
- 21:33Speaker 3: Yeah, go another day.
- 21:35Speaker 2: Yeah, everybody is stunned to learn that gravity did not
- 21:39Speaker 2: stop working. Huh uh? Well where did this take? According
- 21:45Speaker 2: to a bizarre conspiracy According to a bizarre conspiracy theory,
- 21:49Speaker 2: it should have happened. Really, gravity was supposed to stop
- 21:53Speaker 2: working for seven seconds on August twelfth, twenty twenty six.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Over that time, people would essentially fall upward until gravity
- 22:00Speaker 2: kickback on, at which point they'd plummet back to the ground.
- 22:04Speaker 2: Seven seconds is long enough to gain enough air to
- 22:06Speaker 2: be fatal. Yes, so they were predicting that this was
- 22:10Speaker 2: going to cause between forty and sixty million deaths.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Why is so?
- 22:18Speaker 10: Apparently apparently amateur astronomers noticed that there were some black
- 22:26Speaker 10: hole gravitational waves colliding.
- 22:29Speaker 2: Oh okay, yeah, that happens all the time. There there
- 22:31Speaker 2: was some valid science to back this theory, supposedly, but
- 22:36Speaker 2: the evil governments of the world just suppressed living shit
- 22:40Speaker 2: out of it. Would not allow the regular person. Meanwhile,
- 22:45Speaker 2: these governments were also incorporating a.
- 22:47Speaker 1: Secret project to stay on their old project anchor Oh
- 22:51Speaker 1: my god.
- 22:56Speaker 2: Supposedly it was a network of secret gravity any bunkers
- 23:00Speaker 2: for the rich network.
- 23:03Speaker 3: It was just a bunch of nets.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Holding them down, literal nets.
- 23:08Speaker 3: Remember this is our government now, right.
- 23:12Speaker 4: So as of this, I hope they realized too that
- 23:16Speaker 4: if gravity ever reversed, the soil and the rock would.
- 23:18Speaker 6: Go up with it.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Everybody's fucked like a.
- 23:23Speaker 4: Gonna save you five seconds before you're plumbing into space
- 23:27Speaker 4: with everybody else whatever, guys, Yeah.
- 23:29Speaker 2: It's but we are past the supposed time. This was
- 23:35Speaker 2: all supposed to happen, So I think it's safe to
- 23:37Speaker 2: say that gravity didn't stop working. However, and this is
- 23:42Speaker 2: the part that makes me hate humanity. The theory gained
- 23:45Speaker 2: enough traction that NASA put out an official statement denying
- 23:49Speaker 2: it would happen.
- 23:51Speaker 4: That's just they had to allocate time and resources.
- 23:55Speaker 2: They help people a truly spend time.
- 23:57Speaker 3: How much money did that cost?
- 24:00Speaker 1: Five million dollars to tell these idiots guess why gravity
- 24:04Speaker 1: didn't turn all.
- 24:05Speaker 2: I imagine it costs the time. It was like a
- 24:08Speaker 2: very exhausted astronomical engineer to write the damn thing saying
- 24:14Speaker 2: you are fucking stupid. Could he just write that?
- 24:17Speaker 3: I think that should be allowed. That's odd, like you're
- 24:20Speaker 3: fucking stupid.
- 24:21Speaker 2: No, go away. So naturally, all these people that vanished
- 24:26Speaker 2: know that nothing happened. Of course. Yeah, oh none of
- 24:29Speaker 2: them were real. Oh no, they were all real. But
- 24:33Speaker 2: they're all real. They're just yeah.
- 24:36Speaker 4: It's like, listen, believe what you want, right. I believe
- 24:40Speaker 4: that's as Squatch was real or it is real in
- 24:42Speaker 4: some way was he There's no proof proving either way. However,
- 24:45Speaker 4: I'm not gonna go like, ah, it's the end of
- 24:48Speaker 4: the world. We all got to prepare like this doomsday.
- 24:51Speaker 4: This is fucking the Y two K and fucking twenty
- 24:55Speaker 4: twelve all over it, and it is is it always
- 24:58Speaker 4: for me?
- 24:59Speaker 2: Something else? Stupid people. Supposedly a quote unquote independent physicist
- 25:03Speaker 2: had confirmed that the gravitational waves were real and disaster
- 25:07Speaker 2: was going to happen. But however, the paper he supposedly
- 25:10Speaker 2: published has been suppressed so effectively that's no copy of
- 25:15Speaker 2: it remains anywhere in the roll on the internet, which
- 25:18Speaker 2: is infamous for not letting anything disappear. Yeah, to god,
- 25:28Speaker 2: I'm like, how stupid do you have to be?
- 25:30Speaker 3: They got it all.
- 25:33Speaker 1: They put a magnet on the library computer and erased it.
- 25:39Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's sure, dude.
- 25:43Speaker 4: I think they all drank bleach as kids.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yes, disgusting.
- 25:48Speaker 3: Don't drink bleach. I fucking we have to say this,
- 25:51Speaker 3: goddamn it. Don't drink each other.
- 25:53Speaker 4: Please don't believe in conspiracy theories.
- 25:55Speaker 2: I other people tell you.
- 25:56Speaker 4: Don't drink real materials, and please do your own godda
- 26:00Speaker 4: research for the love of God that you may or
- 26:03Speaker 4: may not believe it anymore.
- 26:05Speaker 3: Now that's something funny.
- 26:06Speaker 2: We're going to move on to our third story. Marmots
- 26:09Speaker 2: start releasing photos on only Fans to make do Marmot well.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Times are getting really hard, man. Everything is more expendible.
- 26:20Speaker 2: You got to win a game show to be able
- 26:22Speaker 2: to afford two weeks worth of groceries.
- 26:24Speaker 1: I know forever, I'll try and hook you up.
- 26:34Speaker 2: With everything constantly. With everything getting more and more expensive,
- 26:40Speaker 2: it's folks everywhere are taking measures that they wouldn't otherwise take.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Take these Colorado marmots, for example, just to make ends meet,
- 26:54Speaker 2: they've started posting their pictures on OnlyFans. Wow. So it's
- 27:01Speaker 2: a project called the Marmot Project. It is a decade
- 27:04Speaker 2: spanning scientific research that studies the yellow bellied marmots, which
- 27:11Speaker 2: is not any sort of reflection of their character, just
- 27:14Speaker 2: that they actually have yellow of Colorado. And despite its
- 27:20Speaker 2: long running status, it has recently come into trouble finding funding,
- 27:26Speaker 2: and the researchers started looking into more unorthodox finding funding,
- 27:33Speaker 2: and that's where OnlyFans came in. Although the website is
- 27:36Speaker 2: best known for sharing pictures, there's literally nothing in the
- 27:40Speaker 2: license that says you have to post smut.
- 27:43Speaker 3: No no, no, no.
- 27:45Speaker 2: It is called it is called only Mars and the
- 27:52Speaker 2: account posts quote unquote uncensored Marmot content in their natural
- 27:59Speaker 2: habitat during their everyday activities.
- 28:01Speaker 3: I am so trying to not go on only fans
- 28:04Speaker 3: right now and get up.
- 28:07Speaker 2: I am really tempted to go and just like that's awesome,
- 28:11Speaker 2: like five dollars or whatever, and just look at some
- 28:13Speaker 2: cute pictures of morments and also know that I'm supporting
- 28:17Speaker 2: the animals.
- 28:18Speaker 3: Fucking cool.
- 28:19Speaker 2: I think it's genius, honestly.
- 28:21Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 28:23Speaker 2: It has made a bit of money for the Marmot Project,
- 28:25Speaker 2: and it's also succeeded in raising awareness of the project.
- 28:28Speaker 2: After all, you know about it now that I've told
- 28:30Speaker 2: you about it, right, So hopefully more people will check
- 28:33Speaker 2: it out and get more and more people on their
- 28:36Speaker 2: side with cute animal videos.
- 28:37Speaker 3: Yes, I love that.
- 28:40Speaker 2: Now. Even if the posts are only on only fans,
- 28:42Speaker 2: they're not wearing anything, so technically they're newt I. You're right,
- 28:47Speaker 2: it's not wrong, But if you go there looking for smut,
- 28:50Speaker 2: you're not really my kind of person anyway. Yeah.
- 28:52Speaker 4: So, I'm pretty sure only fans didn't start off that
- 28:56Speaker 4: way it just because it was easy.
- 28:58Speaker 2: No, only fans slowly became that way because people more
- 29:02Speaker 2: and more people started using it for that purpose, and
- 29:05Speaker 2: eventually it became almost everybody, and now it is practically everybody.
- 29:10Speaker 2: So it is people doing the opposite that actually gains
- 29:13Speaker 2: more attention nowadays, which hopefully they are. But I've also
- 29:17Speaker 2: seen like comedians use only fans and post just just
- 29:21Speaker 2: pictures of their stuff and jokes and stuff. It's like
- 29:23Speaker 2: a patre shorthanded what's your name? She's one of my
- 29:26Speaker 2: favorite Comediansney Whitney Cummings. Yeah, she did an only fans
- 29:30Speaker 2: for a while and I actually did follow it, and
- 29:33Speaker 2: it was cool stuff. She would, you know, take pictures
- 29:35Speaker 2: of her vacations and ship cool and it wasn't like
- 29:40Speaker 2: I mean, some was sexy, an attractive fucking woman, but
- 29:44Speaker 2: you know it's it's it wasn't the point of it.
- 29:47Speaker 2: It was. She was just like, hey, if if you
- 29:49Speaker 2: like me and you want to help support me and
- 29:51Speaker 2: you want to see the cool stuff that I do,
- 29:53Speaker 2: come join my only fans. And so I did you
- 29:55Speaker 2: heard only fans? Yes, I don't have an only fans.
- 30:00Speaker 1: If you I'll make one for them. I'll take pictures
- 30:03Speaker 1: on when he's not paying attention.
- 30:04Speaker 2: I have a different website it's called lonely pants. Lonely pants,
- 30:09Speaker 2: and only I go there and only I do things there.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Holy I know, yes, anyway, that is going to be
- 30:19Speaker 2: it for these stories. So our players just have to
- 30:24Speaker 2: tell me what we're doing. Stevie, I think technically you
- 30:28Speaker 2: won the last game because you won beef Yeopardy. Yeah
- 30:31Speaker 2: I did. Yeah you did. You crushed it. Oh yeah,
- 30:35Speaker 2: absolutely crushed it. So Ogie, I'm gonna give you the
- 30:38Speaker 2: first choice. Which one of these did I say was
- 30:41Speaker 2: the best news of the week. Was it the robot
- 30:43Speaker 2: smart toilet that takes your proop away, the gravity not
- 30:47Speaker 2: failing for seven seconds, or the Marmots releasing photos on OnlyFans.
- 30:52Speaker 4: I mean, it's gotta be the Marmots, right, I mean,
- 30:56Speaker 4: I mean the robot is a close second for sure,
- 30:58Speaker 4: But I.
- 31:02Speaker 2: That's funny. That's fucking funny. My god, it's a solid
- 31:09Speaker 2: number two.
- 31:12Speaker 4: It's very It's not always solid, depends.
- 31:16Speaker 2: On what you hate the prior day.
- 31:19Speaker 4: So I think Marments is number one.
- 31:21Speaker 5: There.
- 31:21Speaker 2: I think that's is the best story.
- 31:23Speaker 4: It's yeah, Stevie, it's better around to Stevie, what of
- 31:28Speaker 4: the other two, which one do you think is the
- 31:30Speaker 4: best news.
- 31:34Speaker 2: I'll tell you it very nearly was, but it is
- 31:36Speaker 2: actually definitely that's fair. That's my favorite news story. That's
- 31:42Speaker 2: it's cute, it's adorable. It is going to help the
- 31:44Speaker 2: conservation efforts and hopefully keep these little guys around for longer,
- 31:48Speaker 2: which is fantastic. And also, you know, who knows what
- 31:52Speaker 2: the research might tell us about ourselves. A lot of
- 31:54Speaker 2: times the research projects on other things, such as space,
- 31:56Speaker 2: where animals actually helps the human race in some ways.
- 32:00Speaker 4: How much ship we phoned up by just a plant, like, oh, ship,
- 32:05Speaker 4: we can use that for this and then make this
- 32:07Speaker 4: a whole better. That's how medication works.
- 32:10Speaker 2: Who knows, maybe marmot poop cures stupidity.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Your friends called you stupid, We'll send you a bag
- 32:20Speaker 1: of varmit, all right.
- 32:21Speaker 2: So Augie takes the first point. He is leading one
- 32:24Speaker 2: point to zero, but Stevie can easily come back. When
- 32:26Speaker 2: we come back, we're gonna play game two, which is
- 32:28Speaker 2: gonna be worth two points, and we're gonna play that
- 32:30Speaker 2: game right after this pound mail Bag mail Bag, Hey,
- 32:48Speaker 2: welcome back to the mail bag. We've got just one
- 32:51Speaker 2: thing for you today. A comment.
- 32:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it's on show number three three three I straight
- 33:01Speaker 1: up called it.
- 33:02Speaker 2: Please tell me the comment is from who I think
- 33:04Speaker 2: it might be, Okay, isn't.
- 33:09Speaker 7: Oh my gosh, it's Bill m talking to Bill and
- 33:16Speaker 7: he says walking through the plant for and had to
- 33:18Speaker 7: stop because I was laughing so hard.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Sorry, CJ. Not sorry, hell, that's so funny. It was.
- 33:35Speaker 2: It was one of those just perfect storms of me
- 33:39Speaker 2: realizing mid sentence that I didn't know what CJ stood
- 33:43Speaker 2: for Inj's name, and just deciding to come home with something,
- 33:48Speaker 2: and all I had was, it's so fucking good.
- 33:53Speaker 3: Fucking hell, dude. Like I was editing, okay, so I'm
- 34:00Speaker 3: gonna pull the curtain back just a little bit since
- 34:01Speaker 3: we're here.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 34:02Speaker 3: I edited this obviously, I did.
- 34:06Speaker 2: I did my job.
- 34:07Speaker 3: While editing.
- 34:08Speaker 1: I fucking was clipping ship and I was clipping the
- 34:10Speaker 1: symmathy Jimmy so I can put out a patreot.
- 34:13Speaker 3: For Everyboddy after today. And well I did that.
- 34:17Speaker 1: I actually deleted the whole episode and I saved it deleted,
- 34:21Speaker 1: so I had to start all the funk over.
- 34:23Speaker 2: But I'm kind of glad I did.
- 34:24Speaker 3: So I got the real lip sympathy Jimmy, like.
- 34:34Speaker 2: He laughed so good.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Oh, my god, in the recording, Oh you tell him
- 34:42Speaker 1: what happened to the recording?
- 34:43Speaker 2: You noticed?
- 34:44Speaker 4: Oh uh in the recording he fucking squealed because he
- 34:49Speaker 4: didn't take his air.
- 34:51Speaker 2: He was laughing, so he.
- 34:53Speaker 11: Oh, He's like, you gotta lead, and he pauses it,
- 34:55Speaker 11: rewinds it and did it and I'm giggling and laughing,
- 34:57Speaker 11: and all of a sudden, you hear this loudage square
- 35:00Speaker 11: it's me heiling air while the left.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Oh my god, it was so sounded like somebody deflated.
- 35:13Speaker 2: So thank you, Bill.
- 35:15Speaker 9: Say sorry, not sorry, like a homicidal maniac sitting in
- 35:23Speaker 9: the middle of the plant laughing.
- 35:27Speaker 4: I can't imagine like walking start just d.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Only hope that made your day the way man, I
- 35:33Speaker 2: cannot wait to share that video. Fucking weak mother everybody.
- 35:39Speaker 2: It's incredible, absolutely incredible. All right, Well that's it for
- 35:44Speaker 2: a mail bag. And with that, I say, let's get
- 35:47Speaker 2: back to the show.
- 35:50Speaker 12: If you like fun, then you're gonna love the beard
- 35:53Speaker 12: Out podcast. It's a podcast where we talk about two
- 35:56Speaker 12: of the greatest things in the world, beer and weird Out.
- 35:59Speaker 12: And we talk more about weird Out than anything because
- 36:03Speaker 12: he's the gift that keeps on giving, so join us
- 36:06Speaker 12: as we talk through weird Ow's career, what he needs us,
- 36:10Speaker 12: and we have some very special guests on to discuss
- 36:13Speaker 12: the magic that is Alfred Matthew Yankovic, beard Out, part
- 36:18Speaker 12: of the Odd God's media network.
- 36:31Speaker 2: Hey man, welcome back. It's time for game two. Game
- 36:33Speaker 2: two is going to be pop Culture Fight Club. Oh Fox,
- 36:37Speaker 2: that's right, our favorite donated game by Colin Meggs. Thank
- 36:43Speaker 2: you very much for sending us this idea way way back.
- 36:47Speaker 2: But we actually took it serious and started playing it
- 36:50Speaker 2: and actually enjoying it, so we're gonna play it again.
- 36:52Speaker 2: It's very simple. I'm going to ask them a question
- 36:54Speaker 2: about pop culture, and they have to present their case
- 36:58Speaker 2: and also try and defend their case because their opponent
- 37:01Speaker 2: will be doing their best to undermine their opponent's case.
- 37:04Speaker 2: As when both are finished, I will decide which one
- 37:09Speaker 2: that I believe is actually the best of the two
- 37:12Speaker 2: that they have posited. This time, I'm asking what is
- 37:17Speaker 2: your favorite space story. It could be a video game,
- 37:21Speaker 2: it could be a single mission from a video game,
- 37:24Speaker 2: could be a movie or a TV show, or a
- 37:27Speaker 2: single episode of said TV show, or even a book
- 37:30Speaker 2: or a comic book. Literally anything. It just has to
- 37:33Speaker 2: involve space in some way. There have been loads upon
- 37:38Speaker 2: loads of great space stories, but I want to know
- 37:41Speaker 2: what was the absolute best. Which one of you convinces
- 37:46Speaker 2: me that your favorite is the best will win the
- 37:48Speaker 2: game and you'll get two episode points. Now, Steve, you
- 37:51Speaker 2: lost the last game, and you have the choice do
- 37:53Speaker 2: you want to go first or do you want to
- 37:54Speaker 2: make Augie go first. I think I'm going to go first,
- 37:59Speaker 2: all right, that sir, please tell me what your favorite
- 38:03Speaker 2: space story is and why it's the best.
- 38:06Speaker 1: I'm gonna preface it this with the reason first before
- 38:11Speaker 1: I tell you what it is, okay, And the reason
- 38:13Speaker 1: is it does combine two things that I loved dearly,
- 38:16Speaker 1: especially growing up. All right, comedy being one of them,
- 38:20Speaker 1: which obviously we're still doing shit like that now, you know.
- 38:25Speaker 3: And Star Wars.
- 38:27Speaker 1: Okay, so for me growing up in the eighties, mel Brooks, Spaceballs,
- 38:36Speaker 1: Colonel Sanders and shit like if they keep firing assholes,
- 38:40Speaker 1: which we still fucking use when.
- 38:42Speaker 3: We play hockey and shit, But Spaceballs was great for us.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Yeah, Star Wars that like the seventies Man that was
- 38:50Speaker 1: the seventies eighties had fucking spaceballs.
- 38:53Speaker 3: Man, that was our Star Wars. It was amazing.
- 38:56Speaker 1: It did combine the two things I really did love
- 38:58Speaker 1: at the time, and I can still throw it on today,
- 39:01Speaker 1: regardless of how many hundreds of times I've seen that
- 39:03Speaker 1: fucking movie and still enjoy every fucking moment of that
- 39:06Speaker 1: like laughing even though mel Brooks is in a suit
- 39:08Speaker 1: that's backwards, like stupid shit like that, it's fucking hilarious.
- 39:12Speaker 3: Uh and Somebody so Good. It's so good.
- 39:19Speaker 1: President's Group, Like, I love it. I love almost every
- 39:23Speaker 1: I don't. There's nothing that I don't like. I know
- 39:26Speaker 1: there might be some stuff that might be a little
- 39:30Speaker 1: harder to swallow. Nowadays, I think there's only one racist
- 39:33Speaker 1: joking on me too.
- 39:35Speaker 3: I'm trying to think that everyone's a couple, but they're not.
- 39:38Speaker 2: I know.
- 39:38Speaker 3: I can't say racist jokes aren't bad as they are,
- 39:41Speaker 3: but the.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Only ones that occurred in my mind are ones that
- 39:46Speaker 2: are also subverted. That's what I was thinking, like the
- 39:51Speaker 2: the the she.
- 39:53Speaker 13: Doesn't look yes exactly because he's referring to druid yes, imaginary,
- 40:00Speaker 13: but it you know, it's it's funny because sometimes some
- 40:03Speaker 13: people say that people.
- 40:05Speaker 2: Either look or don't look Jewish, right, you know, so
- 40:08Speaker 2: it's it's a subversion of it. So I think it's okay.
- 40:11Speaker 2: The only other one I can think of is is
- 40:13Speaker 2: turning to the to the one black Trooper him.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Going I love that with the fucking afro picture, which
- 40:20Speaker 1: is which is again.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly amazing.
- 40:27Speaker 4: It's a subversion that you're going to talk about the
- 40:29Speaker 4: one that like said something to uh Rick Ranas in
- 40:32Speaker 4: German or.
- 40:33Speaker 2: Something like that. He just like stopped and looked at it.
- 40:34Speaker 4: Oh yeah, no, leave her to be.
- 40:43Speaker 1: But yeah, Spaceball, I mean, we all know it. We've
- 40:45Speaker 1: talked about it plenty. I know I went way over
- 40:47Speaker 1: thirty seconds, but that is I can put it.
- 40:50Speaker 2: On right the funk. Now, let's enjoy that.
- 40:51Speaker 3: Fine.
- 40:54Speaker 2: Uh do you have any questions for Stevie?
- 40:57Speaker 4: Oh man, you're talking about original Spaceballs. You're talking about
- 41:01Speaker 4: the not the new one, not the animated one.
- 41:04Speaker 3: Oh god no, no, the good movie, the good one.
- 41:07Speaker 2: A lot of questions.
- 41:08Speaker 3: I want to ask you a lot of questions.
- 41:10Speaker 2: I'll give you the second thing one because I do
- 41:13Speaker 2: have one. Yeah. The question is specifically about the story,
- 41:16Speaker 2: and to me, the story of Spaceballs is not actually
- 41:19Speaker 2: that strong. No, the comedy is correct. Sure, And I
- 41:23Speaker 2: didn't say that is an incredible movie.
- 41:25Speaker 3: Correct, But yeah, I didn't love it for the writing.
- 41:29Speaker 1: I loved it for the comedy and the Star Wars
- 41:31Speaker 1: stuff that was it. I wasn't there for story.
- 41:34Speaker 2: I And that's for.
- 41:35Speaker 1: Me too, because you know how critical I am about
- 41:37Speaker 1: stories and ship because our movies where I'm like, this
- 41:39Speaker 1: makes no fucking sense. I knew from the beginning this
- 41:41Speaker 1: is going to end like all of it, which is fine,
- 41:44Speaker 1: But those are also movies that are meant to be
- 41:46Speaker 1: going up for awards of shit. So that's why I
- 41:48Speaker 1: critique those on so hard when I do talk about
- 41:50Speaker 1: story and shit. But this now is a fun.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Yeah, all right? Do you want to ask him anything?
- 41:57Speaker 2: Or do you want to just move on?
- 41:59Speaker 4: I really don't have a whole lot of questions. My
- 42:01Speaker 4: favorite number You can't You can't really attack your not really,
- 42:06Speaker 4: I mean, because you're not you're not talking about the story,
- 42:08Speaker 4: You're talking about the comedy on it. And I agree
- 42:10Speaker 4: whole hardy, like it's one of them that grew up
- 42:12Speaker 4: on mel Brooks and Cheese Jog and all that ship.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Hell, I can't argue that at all. But yeah, that's
- 42:20Speaker 2: about it. All right. In that case, we will switch
- 42:23Speaker 2: over to you Ogie. It is your turn. What is
- 42:25Speaker 2: your favorite space story and why is it better than
- 42:28Speaker 2: space Balls?
- 42:29Speaker 4: Okay, sorry, Stevie, I got the one that Aaron likes
- 42:31Speaker 4: the most, So Starfield.
- 42:37Speaker 3: I'm kidding, as.
- 42:42Speaker 2: You really like Starfield. No, it's not because of the story.
- 42:45Speaker 4: No, No, there's other things about it that are great.
- 42:48Speaker 4: With the story ain't one of them. No, But a
- 42:51Speaker 4: good space game with a good story you and I
- 42:56Speaker 4: both know is the Massi Effect Trilogy is probably one
- 43:00Speaker 4: of the best rpg like actual like third person shooter
- 43:05Speaker 4: rpugs out there. I don't want to spoil anything about
- 43:09Speaker 4: the game itself.
- 43:10Speaker 2: It is replay it probably once every couple of years.
- 43:15Speaker 4: So I don't want to spoil any of the story
- 43:16Speaker 4: because it's It's generally one of those things like if
- 43:18Speaker 4: you can afford to get the game the trilogy, play
- 43:20Speaker 4: through it, and it's worth experience.
- 43:22Speaker 2: If you can't, that's amazing because you can now get
- 43:25Speaker 2: like the legendary edition with all three games for like
- 43:27Speaker 2: ten boots. Right, it frequently goes on sales. It's totally
- 43:31Speaker 2: worth it.
- 43:31Speaker 4: So the idea is that the story is connected all
- 43:35Speaker 4: the way through, and you get to choose essentially or
- 43:38Speaker 4: be in put into situations that will affect the story
- 43:40Speaker 4: along the way, which with the ultimate outcome at the end.
- 43:43Speaker 4: From the beginning, from the very first game to the
- 43:46Speaker 4: second to the third, all your decisions matter, and typically
- 43:52Speaker 4: it does come down to either Paragon or renegade. Paragon
- 43:55Speaker 4: being someone who wants to help and you know all that,
- 43:59Speaker 4: and renegade being the person who has to do whatever
- 44:01Speaker 4: they have to to make it work kind of thing.
- 44:05Speaker 4: And yeah, it's again, don't want to spoil it because
- 44:08Speaker 4: it is a the story is so unique and happens
- 44:11Speaker 4: in so many different variable ways there's no real one
- 44:13Speaker 4: way to tell it, and it's more of a you
- 44:16Speaker 4: have to experience it yourself kind of thing. Aaron knows
- 44:19Speaker 4: what I'm talking about.
- 44:20Speaker 2: But in general, oh yeah, yeah, in a general, in
- 44:24Speaker 2: a general sense, it is all about one soldier who
- 44:27Speaker 2: happens to find out and know that an ancient space
- 44:33Speaker 2: race of machines are coming to wipe the galaxy of
- 44:36Speaker 2: all life, and it is their struggle through three huge games.
- 44:42Speaker 4: That small games huge, the first one like twenty plus hours.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Yeah, to try and find allies, armies, anything to stop
- 44:53Speaker 2: this from happening. And it is a it is. It
- 44:57Speaker 2: is a fantastic piece of work from start to finish.
- 45:01Speaker 4: And it remembers your safe file each way, so that way,
- 45:03Speaker 4: every time you go down to the next one, any
- 45:06Speaker 4: events that happened the last one.
- 45:08Speaker 2: Something as dumb as a conversation, yeah, and the first
- 45:11Speaker 2: something stupid as punching a reporter, can have serious effects
- 45:17Speaker 2: later on, and you you legitimately won't know until you
- 45:21Speaker 2: actually play the game and find out for yourself. Oh,
- 45:23Speaker 2: I probably shouldn't have done that. Yeah, uh ctebee. You
- 45:30Speaker 2: may try to interiorate or maybe attack his I mean
- 45:37Speaker 2: it's a great choice. I mean, will you, But I
- 45:39Speaker 2: will because I want him to defend the fact. I
- 45:41Speaker 2: do too.
- 45:42Speaker 1: Why he chose the game that you like? When you
- 45:44Speaker 1: said he's got to choose one that he found his favorite, well.
- 45:47Speaker 2: It clearly he likes it too. I mean, I'm not
- 45:49Speaker 2: going to argue that, actually, But what I will say
- 45:52Speaker 2: is that the ending is notoriously underbaked.
- 45:59Speaker 4: That is true, and they have gone to try to
- 46:02Speaker 4: rectify it and everything like that to try to get
- 46:06Speaker 4: a more satisfying ending. Unfortunately, though, like with every great story,
- 46:10Speaker 4: it has to come to win it, right, Yeah, it's
- 46:14Speaker 4: it all like they all kind of control. That's the
- 46:17Speaker 4: kind of the way I see it is. The devs
- 46:20Speaker 4: had control over the beginning of the story and had
- 46:22Speaker 4: control of the end, but you had complete control over
- 46:26Speaker 4: everything else.
- 46:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 46:28Speaker 4: It did feel initially pretty ham fisted and kind of
- 46:32Speaker 4: wrong the way they did it with pratty sickly choose
- 46:35Speaker 4: your favorite flavor of color. But again later patches they
- 46:40Speaker 4: did make it. They did a couple more that made
- 46:42Speaker 4: it more meaningful to your choices, and I.
- 46:47Speaker 2: Feel like they didn't really address like my issue with
- 46:51Speaker 2: the ending, which was that it is over way too soon.
- 46:54Speaker 2: Oh really, Like you spend sixty hours on this journey
- 46:58Speaker 2: and it ends in about thirty seconds.
- 47:00Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 47:00Speaker 2: Yeah, in the final action, you see the final cut
- 47:04Speaker 2: scene and you see the finality of whatever you chose,
- 47:09Speaker 2: and then like cut to black, and then like the
- 47:15Speaker 2: very last scene is a very short cut scene of
- 47:18Speaker 2: like some kid talking to their grandpa and talking about
- 47:22Speaker 2: the wonder of space and the stars and stuff like that,
- 47:24Speaker 2: and then it just ends. And I was like, I
- 47:28Speaker 2: spent sixty hours these characters. I want to know what
- 47:32Speaker 2: their life is like after the events of this.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Game, like tell me something, we stop following, you know,
- 47:40Speaker 1: and you're left to imagine. And I guess there is
- 47:46Speaker 1: in that book.
- 47:47Speaker 14: No oh good, Tokien wouldn't let you fucking not know
- 47:52Speaker 14: their entire family treat. You know, exactly where they've been,
- 47:56Speaker 14: where they're going, where they're going to go next.
- 47:58Speaker 2: Yeah, what they had for this, what they had for
- 48:00Speaker 2: second Breakfast. I it is the micromanagement the book. Before
- 48:09Speaker 2: I make my decision, I will tell you guys what
- 48:11Speaker 2: I would amuse uh And my favorite Space story has
- 48:15Speaker 2: to be the story of Data, and throughout the show
- 48:25Speaker 2: and the movies, I think I think I would stop
- 48:29Speaker 2: it there if I if I had a choice to it.
- 48:32Speaker 2: Not that I don't like what they did with him
- 48:35Speaker 2: in Picard. I was glad they brought him back, but
- 48:38Speaker 2: it felt a little forced and.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Just a little they need him for the reading.
- 48:44Speaker 2: They well, they wanted to get the whole gang back together,
- 48:47Speaker 2: and I completely understood and agreed I would love to
- 48:49Speaker 2: see them all again, and I did, in fact love
- 48:52Speaker 2: to see them all, but the the method of getting
- 48:56Speaker 2: him there, and you know, it just it was just
- 49:00Speaker 2: kind of camfisted. I don't know that they had much
- 49:03Speaker 2: choice in the matter because of course everybody was so
- 49:05Speaker 2: much older and Android is not supposed to so they had
- 49:09Speaker 2: to come up with a way around that as well,
- 49:11Speaker 2: and you know all this stuff.
- 49:12Speaker 3: So we upgraded him to look like he looks more human.
- 49:16Speaker 2: But having said that, I still like, deeply love the
- 49:20Speaker 2: whole story of Data from start to finish, and it
- 49:23Speaker 2: is such an amazing journey.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Was like a child, and God, it was so good.
- 49:30Speaker 2: I can think of so many epic moments of the
- 49:33Speaker 2: next generation that involve Data learning something or trying something
- 49:40Speaker 2: m and like just being along with him on this
- 49:45Speaker 2: journey because you everybody remembers the first time they did this,
- 49:48Speaker 2: so the first time they did this or you know,
- 49:51Speaker 2: so on and so forth. He tries to pro create.
- 49:55Speaker 2: He creates his own daughter, and she dies after only
- 50:00Speaker 2: a few days of life, and it's it's really really
- 50:04Speaker 2: sad and really really heartbreaking, like all the characters are
- 50:06Speaker 2: doing their best to keep her alive and savor and
- 50:10Speaker 2: Data doesn't have emotions, can't express them, so it was
- 50:16Speaker 2: even more heartbreaking because he can't feel what it feels
- 50:21Speaker 2: like to.
- 50:21Speaker 5: Lose it, but he's my God, it was it was
- 50:25Speaker 5: an emotionally resonant journey from start to finish, and I
- 50:30Speaker 5: loved him in the movies.
- 50:32Speaker 2: He had some of the best goddamn lines, even something
- 50:37Speaker 2: as simple as oh shit, far none. I did not
- 50:45Speaker 2: laugh at anything harder than that one line in Starter Generation.
- 50:50Speaker 2: That's so good though. Yeah, Data story touched me on
- 50:53Speaker 2: a number of levels throughout that whole thing, so that
- 50:55Speaker 2: would have been my absolute favorite story. So but I
- 50:58Speaker 2: have to choose between two of you, and out of
- 51:00Speaker 2: the two of you argue with Yeah, he just does,
- 51:04Speaker 2: even with the ending being kind of a clusterfuck, even
- 51:08Speaker 2: when they tried to fix it, it still didn't really resonate
- 51:11Speaker 2: with me. The fact of the matter is it is
- 51:15Speaker 2: a It is a phenomenally written story, and that is impressive.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Given how many things you can change, you would think
- 51:25Speaker 2: a story so malleable would be hard to do well
- 51:30Speaker 2: to the point where you are not only invested, but
- 51:33Speaker 2: you like. The lines are sharp, they're well written, the
- 51:37Speaker 2: jokes are funny, the characters are It can be hilarious
- 51:42Speaker 2: and also deeply moving. Mass Effect is a triumph right
- 51:49Speaker 2: up until the end. That is the only part that
- 51:52Speaker 2: I did that I just could not That was deeply
- 51:55Speaker 2: disappointed by everything else is magic. Absolutely, Spaceballs is absolutely
- 52:02Speaker 2: the best space comedy ever made. Without a shadow of
- 52:07Speaker 2: a down. It just doesn't have the best story. It is.
- 52:10Speaker 2: It's a good story. It is for what it is.
- 52:13Speaker 2: It's a good story. It's fun, and I love that
- 52:16Speaker 2: movie beyond the telling of it. But the question was literally,
- 52:19Speaker 2: which is the best space story? And out of the
- 52:22Speaker 2: two of you, I have to go with mass effect.
- 52:24Speaker 2: Augie gets two points, bringing him very nice, but Stevie
- 52:28Speaker 2: is still in this. Our Game three is gonna be
- 52:32Speaker 2: worth three points and we're gonna play that game right
- 52:35Speaker 2: after this.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Hey, if you're in the western New York area and
- 52:46Speaker 1: you are a fan of the Green, head on over
- 52:49Speaker 1: to Peace, Love and Bud at three twenty self Transit
- 52:52Speaker 1: Road in Lockport, New York. Tell them bfy tw CINTA
- 52:56Speaker 1: able to hook you up.
- 53:07Speaker 2: Hello, welcome back. It is time for game three. Game
- 53:11Speaker 2: three is going to be four out of five dentists.
- 53:13Speaker 2: I've got five surveys here, and you guys are going
- 53:17Speaker 2: to take turns guessing the exact percentage, and if you
- 53:20Speaker 2: get within ten percent high or low, you will get
- 53:23Speaker 2: a point. The other player is going to guess whether
- 53:25Speaker 2: the actual percentage is higher or lower than your guess,
- 53:28Speaker 2: and if they're correct, they get a point. After five surveys,
- 53:31Speaker 2: the player who has the most points is going to
- 53:33Speaker 2: win this game and get three episode points. Stevie's looking
- 53:35Speaker 2: to tie. Oggi's looking to win.
- 53:38Speaker 4: I think we've played this game in that Gamble game
- 53:40Speaker 4: and we lost all our money. Oh yeah, how do
- 53:43Speaker 4: that was a game of high low.
- 53:46Speaker 2: Well, let's not have that happen. Stevie, you lost last
- 53:50Speaker 2: game again. So you have the choice. Do you want
- 53:52Speaker 2: to guess the exact percentage first or do you want
- 53:54Speaker 2: to make Augie guess the exact percentage first.
- 53:57Speaker 3: I'm going to guess it first, so I get it
- 53:58Speaker 3: at the end, right, yeah.
- 54:00Speaker 2: You will get the guest hire. Well, no, if you
- 54:03Speaker 2: want higher lower at the end, you have to take
- 54:05Speaker 2: higher lower.
- 54:05Speaker 3: Now I'll do that.
- 54:06Speaker 2: Okay, So August's gonna guess the percentage. Yes, all right, Oggie,
- 54:10Speaker 2: here's your first survey. According to an August twenty twenty six,
- 54:13Speaker 2: you go poll what percentage of American parents are concerned
- 54:18Speaker 2: about violence in their local public schools. Probably like seventy percent. Damn,
- 54:27Speaker 2: there's a good number.
- 54:29Speaker 4: So I'll say seventy three.
- 54:30Speaker 2: Seventy three percent is what you're locking in, Uh, Stevie,
- 54:35Speaker 2: is the actual percentage higher or lower than seventy three percent?
- 54:39Speaker 3: Fuck you just because like, didn't you say forty or something?
- 54:44Speaker 2: It's not that low?
- 54:45Speaker 7: Oh?
- 54:45Speaker 3: Why no, I was starting.
- 54:47Speaker 4: I'm not dumb.
- 54:49Speaker 2: God, I'm actually.
- 54:50Speaker 3: Gonna say it's gonna be higher than seventy though.
- 54:51Speaker 1: I think there's more concern than people saying to hire survey,
- 54:55Speaker 1: they'll actually say it.
- 54:55Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, well, Augie said seventy three percent, Stevie said
- 55:00Speaker 2: higher the actual percentage of American parents who are concerned
- 55:03Speaker 2: about violence in their local public schools seventy six percent.
- 55:11Speaker 3: So you almost nailed it.
- 55:13Speaker 2: As an incredible guest, and that is points for each
- 55:17Speaker 2: of you.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Nice Agie.
- 55:20Speaker 2: We're gonna switch back to Stevie. Stevie, it is your
- 55:23Speaker 2: turn to guest.
- 55:24Speaker 4: Exactly good Storry Stevie.
- 55:28Speaker 2: Here is your survey and in August thirteenth, twenty twenty
- 55:32Speaker 2: six y of survey about canceling paid subscriptions, what percentage
- 55:38Speaker 2: of American adults say that they have never had a
- 55:42Speaker 2: paid subscription to anything? They're fucking all liars. What percentage
- 55:48Speaker 2: of American adults say that they have never had a
- 55:51Speaker 2: paid subscription.
- 55:52Speaker 3: To anything like Columbia fucking Music House counting that is
- 55:58Speaker 3: technically okay, I'm gonna say than never. And they said.
- 56:01Speaker 1: Adults, yes, adults, use use Okay, I'm gonna say never.
- 56:06Speaker 3: Fuck uh twenty one let's go black jack.
- 56:11Speaker 2: One percent they never say they have never had a
- 56:14Speaker 2: subscription to anything, Aggie, is the actual percentage higher or lower? Right?
- 56:23Speaker 4: I think it's higher, but not by much?
- 56:25Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 56:25Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah cool.
- 56:27Speaker 2: So Stevie says twenty one percent of American adults have
- 56:30Speaker 2: never had a paid subscription to anything, and Augie says
- 56:33Speaker 2: it's actually higher than that. The actual percentage of American
- 56:37Speaker 2: adults who say that they've never had a paid subscription
- 56:40Speaker 2: to anything eight percent, which means no points for either
- 56:46Speaker 2: of you.
- 56:47Speaker 4: Eight percent, I mean eight Take about it, like everything
- 56:51Speaker 4: has anything. Your fucking credit card basically has a subscription
- 56:55Speaker 4: doing it at all?
- 56:57Speaker 2: Well, it's not called that, so it probably does count technically,
- 57:01Speaker 2: the credit card subscription. Anyway, We're gonna go back to
- 57:05Speaker 2: Aggie for this one.
- 57:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 57:07Speaker 2: In August twenty twenty six, you go poll what percentage

- 57:15Speaker 3: Of the Opera Millennials.
- 57:18Speaker 2: What percentage of American millennials say they like the Phantom

- 57:53Speaker 4: You know. I'm just gonna go on the higher sixty four.
- 57:55Speaker 2: Sixty four, says Augie ceb. Is the actual percentage higher
- 58:00Speaker 2: or lower than sixty four percent?
- 58:03Speaker 1: Millennials don't have style in class, Dude, They're not going
- 58:05Speaker 1: to be fucking goddamn.

- 59:37Speaker 1: K through twelve?
- 59:37Speaker 3: You and to make it, I'm gonna say forty seven percent.
- 59:44Speaker 2: Forty seven percent, says Stevie. Augie, what to say?

- 1:00:18Speaker 1: lest old story.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: If one of you, if one of you gets a

- 1:00:27Speaker 2: any other result and we will have a tie.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: I have to guess the percentage, so you have a
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: higher chance.

- 1:01:06Speaker 4: in case I want to say seventy eight.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Seventy eight, says Augie Stevie, this could determine it.
- 1:01:14Speaker 3: Is like their child?
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: Lower is their What percentage of American adults say it's
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: generally acceptable for someone to refer to their dog as

- 1:01:37Speaker 2: adults who say it's generally acceptable for someone to refer
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: to their dog as their child. For the game, it's
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: fifty six percent. Augie does not get a point, but
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Stevie does, and with that he has won this game.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I got it.
