- 8:10Speaker 7: saying you definitely want to be in that room. Has
- 8:13Speaker 7: his own process around the music, around the recording, and
- 8:17Speaker 7: he spends a certain amount of time on the songs
- 8:20Speaker 7: no matter what, no matter what he's doing on there.
- 8:23Speaker 7: That's pretty impressive. He has a routine and something that
- 8:26Speaker 7: he has a bit of a ritual to his approach
- 8:29Speaker 7: to the music. It's very cool. This is Jasmine Sandless.
- 8:33Speaker 7: The song is called mah.

- 11:40Speaker 7: d M type of a vible this song dope shout
- 11:45Speaker 7: out to shus what sustive and really the common thread
- 11:48Speaker 7: here between the two soundtracks and the man whose work
- 11:51Speaker 7: has really put himself into that upper echelon of Indian composers,
- 11:56Speaker 7: Indian Bollywood composers. If you will really have through these
- 12:01Speaker 7: two bodies of work, he's put himself there.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Again learn made what.

- 13:08Speaker 23: from my people, and don't make me a sender from
- 13:10Speaker 23: the coast to the plains. Everybody know the name that
- 13:12Speaker 23: you're coming from. We got this to maintain.
- 13:14Speaker 19: But you got an ego. Shut a fucking me.
- 13:16Speaker 23: Though I may got that money like I'm running up
- 13:18Speaker 23: castine no ge cot Now I got that proper in
- 13:21Speaker 23: my geno.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Cut the proof.
- 13:22Speaker 19: Can you stand on?
- 13:23Speaker 1: What's the tween?
- 13:23Speaker 24: Does Pole put it in a paper like they were
- 13:25Speaker 24: crussing on each other promiking deputy bets of me.
- 13:27Speaker 7: I'm making a couple of mother crazy.
- 13:28Speaker 24: It's turning it laziest, probably to a product, probably probably
- 13:31Speaker 24: because I was probably prophet warns a mother warns a
- 13:33Speaker 24: mother two hands on that I was turning. Butther so
- 13:36Speaker 24: if I go to sleep, I'm probably burning covers. Turn
- 13:38Speaker 24: the covers. If the covers burned, I gotta turn the
- 13:39Speaker 24: mattress to get in the first pick you wanted to pick,
- 13:41Speaker 24: like a boarding caption, where come on my body by.
- 14:17Speaker 23: Mena wo mother, take a body oil mana wood.
- 14:32Speaker 25: Handy hoy yai honey, do.
- 14:42Speaker 6: Y yady do bana bana honey to body him.
- 14:56Speaker 12: By.
- 15:00Speaker 7: There are two different types of composers out there. There's
- 15:04Speaker 7: the tinkerer and then there's the one that spits them
- 15:07Speaker 7: out and Shush what is the second? He spits them
- 15:13Speaker 7: out really fast. He's a very fast worker. And the
- 15:16Speaker 7: rumor is you cannot got a few songs in a
- 15:19Speaker 7: day working with SHUSHWZ. You really can. And there you go.
- 15:22Speaker 7: It really is helpful if you're trying to put a
- 15:24Speaker 7: bunch of music like they have in this film. Now,
- 15:27Speaker 7: let's bring in doctor Roy to this party with sub
- 15:29Speaker 7: Doctor Roy.

- 15:44Speaker 26: the scenes. Taking to their handles on the film's ott
- 15:48Speaker 26: debut on Netflix for international viewing, a lot of the

- 15:54Speaker 26: and the theatrical cut released in India only. Audiences will
- 15:58Speaker 26: be able to share their experience to the film releases
- 16:01Speaker 26: on Geo Hotstar.

- 16:05Speaker 26: In media news, Starbucks is reportedly planning to open its
- 16:09Speaker 26: first corporate office in India, marking a major step in
- 16:12Speaker 26: the company's global technology and cost optimization strategy. Led in
- 16:16Speaker 26: part by CTO Annan varad Rajanan. The new tech hub,
- 16:21Speaker 26: expected to launch in fiscal year twenty twenty seven, will
- 16:24Speaker 26: focus on bringing more engineering and technology roles in house
- 16:28Speaker 26: as Starbucks reduces reliance on third party service providers. In
- 16:33Speaker 26: event news, the sari worn by Nandini Harinas during India's
- 16:37Speaker 26: historic Mars orbiter mission is now on display at the
- 16:40Speaker 26: US Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. A key member
- 16:44Speaker 26: of Eastro Indian space research organizations celebrated rocket woman Harinath

- 16:56Speaker 26: a tribute to both india space achievements and women's scientists
- 16:59Speaker 26: behind them. Honored by the US, that's it for today's
- 17:03Speaker 26: word on the avenue until next time.
- 17:05Speaker 7: Thank you, doctor Roy. This next artist was pretty much
- 17:10Speaker 7: the only thing left off of making this completely perfect
- 17:15Speaker 7: in terms of getting all the guns you needed for battle.
- 17:18Speaker 7: Ya sing and then you needed Delo sane and you
- 17:23Speaker 7: got him, and you got him with a song called
- 17:25Speaker 7: Easy Easy, and it helped really solidify the first soundtrack.
- 17:32Speaker 27: Adiaba Guy Buddy Adiaba not Daba Gullias by body poor

- 18:33Speaker 7: I'm taking a chance here. Yeah, I'm gambling.
- 18:36Speaker 29: When everyone said that we couldn't have put in the
- 18:38Speaker 29: word just to keep him. Their ads, the ads against me,
- 18:41Speaker 29: demons attainment, usually come with a smile and nothing that
- 18:44Speaker 29: I wouldn't do with the people I love. I've been
- 18:45Speaker 29: ready to die, were armed and ready. It's about to

- 24:46Speaker 7: the very first soundtrack, of course, was released through Sada
- 24:50Speaker 7: Gama Music and the second one was released through T series.
- 24:55Speaker 7: That largely had to do with the original song that
- 25:00Speaker 7: was sampled in that Hanu man Kind Jasmin Sandless track,
- 25:05Speaker 7: which used an old song of Sadagamas.
- 25:08Speaker 6: There.

- 25:26Speaker 23: the danger. Would tell me a ship. When you eat
- 25:28Speaker 23: little breeches, say your prayers, call them the gangster. Don't
- 25:30Speaker 23: slander the stranger. Women, you know what I wanna got
- 25:33Speaker 23: the trigger? Oh God, you got them move it how
- 25:36Speaker 23: I wanted God. I rather to keep it to myself.

- 27:56Speaker 7: bringing in the right artist to come in and play
- 27:58Speaker 7: the right voice for his song? Does it so well?
- 28:02Speaker 7: And between the two soundtracks did a phenomenal job of
- 28:06Speaker 7: spreading around the the real type of essence he was
- 28:10Speaker 7: looking for in each song, A great one right there.
- 28:13Speaker 7: In the hip hop version, that song called move Yeah
- 28:15Speaker 7: is this next song We've Got for You? Is from
- 28:20Speaker 7: the Dunder the Revenge soundtrack. The song is called shut out.
- 28:24Speaker 2: A tune Bard tire.

- 32:11Speaker 7: third member, Radka today. Looking forward to the conversation.

- 34:24Speaker 7: Rebel is the artist and she gets together with Sana Khan,
- 34:29Speaker 7: the vocalist. There lyrics by Earshot come on music of
- 34:34Speaker 7: course by shash Watsu's there the song called Nachana and
- 34:38Speaker 7: the type of track that you feel that you've heard before,
- 34:41Speaker 7: probably because you have. It's kind of like an interpolation,
- 34:43Speaker 7: as we call it in the business. There you go.
- 34:47Speaker 7: This one is another one from Superstar Delgito Sane. The
- 34:51Speaker 7: song is called.
- 35:01Speaker 6: Hsh gonna come the lark in.
- 35:18Speaker 36: Ash the lark in the boska Ja John Ja ja.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Sika came in Loo coming you.

- 37:02Speaker 15: Are you move to such a door, but there are
- 37:05Speaker 15: you move to such a door? But the any cardamnue,
- 37:09Speaker 15: but that's the man. Keep any calam there, that's the man.
- 37:16Speaker 6: Keep a ready avenue.
- 37:30Speaker 37: M car looking at the arm to say, you're Garni.
- 37:56Speaker 6: Looking.
- 38:10Speaker 7: We have them all. We have Sewitage, Sunjay and Radhika
- 38:13Speaker 7: joining us from the band in no fusion. Of course
- 38:16Speaker 7: you guys have been hearing about it. Of course this
- 38:19Speaker 7: across this whole episode, and we finally wrote them in
- 38:22Speaker 7: how are you guys great? And currently you guys are
- 38:27Speaker 7: in Mumbai? Correct? Yes. What's more difficult is it coming
- 38:33Speaker 7: up with something original or reimagining a classic song that
- 38:38Speaker 7: everybody knows and you have to find some sort of
- 38:41Speaker 7: original way of delivering it. And and that is sometimes
- 38:46Speaker 7: pretty difficult to do because people are married to how
- 38:49Speaker 7: they want to hear something, and so when you reimagine
- 38:52Speaker 7: some of these classics, it's not as easy as some
- 38:54Speaker 7: people think. Uh, we walk us through that process. Between
- 38:58Speaker 7: the two, they're distinctly different processes, I understand, But which
- 39:02Speaker 7: one is tougher for you?
- 39:04Speaker 5: The of use Doing a cover is always a challenge
- 39:07Speaker 5: because you have to you have to find a a
- 39:10Speaker 5: space to to give it a different, unique taste, a
- 39:14Speaker 5: different sound because uh, if you if you're touching, uh,
- 39:18Speaker 5: you know, if you're touching in a classic or very
- 39:22Speaker 5: legendary tracks from a bigger artists, H well known artists,
- 39:27Speaker 5: then you have that responsibility uh with you to to
- 39:32Speaker 5: to I mean make it in a very good way,
- 39:36Speaker 5: but it should not I mean spoil the soul of
- 39:38Speaker 5: the composition that the you know, the main challenge doing
- 39:43Speaker 5: our but we always try to to to see that
- 39:48Speaker 5: you know, space or to.
- 39:49Speaker 4: To get that you know, the sound that what we like.
- 39:54Speaker 4: And so doing an originally is.
- 39:58Speaker 5: Also a similar right now because for for indie musicians,
- 40:02Speaker 5: so a lot of people are you know, making tracks
- 40:04Speaker 5: very similiar to Hollywood right right, I'm not doing really well.
- 40:08Speaker 5: But you know, if I talk about new artists, new
- 40:11Speaker 5: musicians who are going very fast with the original numbers,
- 40:15Speaker 5: So I think they have that uh you know hat
- 40:19Speaker 5: they have got that you know, the tricks to to
- 40:22Speaker 5: to tend you know, out of the.
- 40:26Speaker 4: The other people.
- 40:28Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, outside of your echo chamber. Correct, that's correct. Yeah,
- 40:33Speaker 7: you know, the original stuff probably as you put it,
- 40:36Speaker 7: it brings you into new audiences, It connects you to
- 40:38Speaker 7: different places. But I think there's something very comfortable that
- 40:42Speaker 7: the audience feels when they're hearing the cover work that
- 40:45Speaker 7: you do. It's so familiar, you know, you know, I
- 40:47Speaker 7: was gonna ask you, what is the song that you
- 40:50Speaker 7: guys perform no matter where you go, it's always a
- 40:54Speaker 7: hit with the audience.
- 40:57Speaker 4: They are a lot of tracks I think rather something.
- 41:02Speaker 19: So uh.
- 41:08Speaker 13: I mean, you know, there are songs that were definitely
- 41:11Speaker 13: known for because again it comes with a lot of strategy.
- 41:16Speaker 6: Uh.
- 41:16Speaker 13: As I would say this is when you when you
- 41:19Speaker 13: saw something on on your social media and and when
- 41:22Speaker 13: you sort of push that through.
- 41:24Speaker 6: Uh.
- 41:25Speaker 13: There are songs which which get that high.
- 41:28Speaker 4: So the name of you maybe from Sufi with say
- 41:31Speaker 4: maybe that's the rue.
- 41:33Speaker 13: Uh Like songs like that, they're so legendary and they're
- 41:38Speaker 13: loved by everybody, so they're always a hit.
- 41:40Speaker 7: Yeah, you can't go wrong with consop anywhere. So that's
- 41:43Speaker 7: definitely that's definitely the case for sure. Yeah, now that
- 41:47Speaker 7: that that's a great one. You know, rather got a
- 41:49Speaker 7: question for you. You know, the these two gentlemen have
- 41:51Speaker 7: been working together for such a long time and they
- 41:54Speaker 7: had a foundation there that you had to kind of
- 41:55Speaker 7: fit into in a way. And to me, it's very
- 41:58Speaker 7: natural though, you know, it's it seems like you your
- 42:01Speaker 7: voice has been there and even on stage, how you
- 42:04Speaker 7: guys have kind of this interaction amongst you it seems
- 42:07Speaker 7: very natural and there's a kind of a pace about
- 42:11Speaker 7: you that matches the other guys. You know, how much
- 42:14Speaker 7: how how much work was that? Was that something that
- 42:16Speaker 7: you have to kind of sit back and is it
- 42:18Speaker 7: because you knew them already and you're like, Okay, I'm
- 42:20Speaker 7: going to fit right into this or was that like
- 42:22Speaker 7: a thing for you and is that still a thing
- 42:24Speaker 7: for you where you're like, Okay, I have to find
- 42:26Speaker 7: myself in this. Even though I do represent the female voice,
- 42:29Speaker 7: there's stylistic kind of adjustments to be made.
- 42:34Speaker 13: You know, I lost because I mean, it's still something
- 42:40Speaker 13: that we struggled with. It's definitely not easy because I
- 42:43Speaker 13: come from a very different background as a bonet and
- 42:47Speaker 13: they've been in you know, they've been together.
- 42:51Speaker 4: They know each other.
- 42:51Speaker 13: They have a chemistry that that you know, it takes
- 42:54Speaker 13: a life long to build. But for me, when I
- 42:58Speaker 13: came in, I think I started to wanted to bring
- 43:01Speaker 13: what I do best. I wanted to create an identity
- 43:05Speaker 13: within that identity as well. So it was a lot
- 43:09Speaker 13: of understanding, which I think is is it's constant across
- 43:15Speaker 13: any relationship, any artistic relationship that you work with.
- 43:20Speaker 4: It does come with work.
- 43:21Speaker 13: But then at the end of the day, what you
- 43:22Speaker 13: do on stage, it's your collaborations to your efforts from everybody.
- 43:27Speaker 13: So yeah, it's something we've worked on and it's something
- 43:30Speaker 13: that we're still working on.
- 43:32Speaker 7: Yeah, absolutely, as with any band and as with any group,
- 43:36Speaker 7: and and and that's always the case. And that's something
- 43:39Speaker 7: of course that uh, you know, whatever the discussions are
- 43:42Speaker 7: and the negotiations are, as far as the product is
- 43:45Speaker 7: on stage, it just fits wonderfully. So whatever you guys
- 43:48Speaker 7: are doing, keep doing it all right. Uh you know, gentlemen,
- 43:53Speaker 7: you went from turning our to Dubai. What did that
- 43:56Speaker 7: change of your music?
- 44:00Speaker 5: So it's a it's a I mean that process was
- 44:04Speaker 5: like complete you know, self learning for for for both
- 44:09Speaker 5: of us and for all of us. So in two
- 44:12Speaker 5: thousand and thirteen, so we used to sound i mean
- 44:16Speaker 5: very very different. And what we what we see now,
- 44:19Speaker 5: what we what we see now that that individual sounds
- 44:22Speaker 5: totally different because because of a lot of things, Because
- 44:25Speaker 5: this journey was like learning and it will be a
- 44:31Speaker 5: continuous learning.
- 44:32Speaker 4: For for.
- 44:34Speaker 7: Yeah, It's it's funny because when you're in the audience,
- 44:39Speaker 7: all you get to see is the product. You get
- 44:41Speaker 7: to see, you know, the beautiful music that comes about it.
- 44:43Speaker 7: I think some of the conversation that we've had also
- 44:46Speaker 7: kind of touches on the process behind the scenes as
- 44:48Speaker 7: far as you know what it takes, and it takes
- 44:51Speaker 7: a lot, and and you guys have certainly done an
- 44:53Speaker 7: amazing job with this. You're you're talking to an international
- 44:56Speaker 7: market today. You're talking to people that have maybe never
- 45:00Speaker 7: heard of you before. And if there's something that you
- 45:03Speaker 7: want the international market to get to know as they
- 45:06Speaker 7: discover you today, what is it that you could say
- 45:09Speaker 7: about how Indian music is doing in India and how
- 45:12Speaker 7: it's traveling now internationally, and as you guys have spread
- 45:16Speaker 7: your basis, We've talked about that from Tunderguard to Dubai
- 45:19Speaker 7: now and hopefully some of it spreads this way, you know,
- 45:24Speaker 7: tell us about the story of Indian music from a
- 45:27Speaker 7: global perspective. Given the work you're doing.
- 45:33Speaker 13: You know, I think people around the globe, even if
- 45:38Speaker 13: we say the you know, the diaspora that that you're
- 45:42Speaker 13: talking about, I think everybody is getting a lot more
- 45:46Speaker 13: connected to their roots.
- 45:48Speaker 4: Everybody is becoming slightly.
- 45:52Speaker 13: It's not the culture is not diluted at all, and
- 45:55Speaker 13: people are actually trying to connect a lot more in
- 45:58Speaker 13: a schedual way, be to their roots, lead to their culture.
- 46:02Speaker 13: So when we perform, and even because Dubai is a
- 46:06Speaker 13: global market, Dubai doesn't have just Indians in it, so
- 46:09Speaker 13: we cater to a lot.
- 46:10Speaker 5: Of people who stem from uh, those regions.
- 46:13Speaker 13: As well that you're talking about.
- 46:16Speaker 25: And we definitely note that.
- 46:18Speaker 4: The acceptance, the awareness, the ability to.
- 46:22Speaker 13: Sort of accept what an artist is doing and trying to.
- 46:25Speaker 4: Present that has sort of evolved, you know, because people.
- 46:30Speaker 13: Want things that that are familiar, uh in this place
- 46:34Speaker 13: where there's so much uncertainty, there's so much conflict about sells,
- 46:39Speaker 13: people just want to be connected to where they come from.
- 46:42Speaker 13: And so that's why, no matter where you belong on
- 46:44Speaker 13: the globe, Indian music is definitely going back to h
- 46:49Speaker 13: nostalgia where we talk about Lataji, where we talk about
- 46:53Speaker 13: you know, Kishoda, or we can talk about our Sufi legends,
- 46:56Speaker 13: beat Avidaji, be it. You know, so everybody is sort
- 47:01Speaker 13: of just you know, rooting in all together and sort
- 47:04Speaker 13: of connecting, you know, globally, there's there's no borders today.
- 47:08Speaker 7: I think you very articulately defined Indo fusion to everyone
- 47:11Speaker 7: right there and and that's that's a good way to
- 47:14Speaker 7: kind of summarize it all. You know. I wanted to
- 47:18Speaker 7: first of all, thank you all for joining us today,
- 47:20Speaker 7: and I wanted to thank you all for the great conversation.
- 47:23Speaker 7: I wanted to turn the floor over. I see a
- 47:25Speaker 7: guitar here, and I wanted to know if there's anything
- 47:29Speaker 7: fun that you can perform for everybody, you know, not
- 47:31Speaker 7: to not to take too much of your performance time.
- 47:34Speaker 7: Maybe a couple of minutes here to give everybody a
- 47:36Speaker 7: little taste of some Indo Fusion on the air.
- 47:40Speaker 4: Sure the.
- 48:03Speaker 6: The you know that to Una the.
- 48:12Speaker 25: Particle may game the bana because I am the kana
- 48:27Speaker 25: made you know that Huda from the perm hicle that
- 48:49Speaker 25: you understand it. But you look a day by John like.
- 48:59Speaker 6: That, you know, said.
- 49:07Speaker 7: To be.
- 49:14Speaker 21: God.
- 49:39Speaker 7: Yeah, thank you very much. How about that everybody? What
- 49:44Speaker 7: a treat that was. And of course a big shout
- 49:48Speaker 7: out to the band Indo Fusion for joining us, and
- 49:51Speaker 7: thank you so much there two gentlemen putting it together
- 49:54Speaker 7: for us, Sewage and Sunjay for for the beautiful rendition
- 49:58Speaker 7: of this quite a metal of stuff right there. You
- 50:01Speaker 7: got a pretty good cross section of the work that
- 50:03Speaker 7: they do right there in those couple of minutes. So
- 50:05Speaker 7: thank you very much, gentlemen, and thank you so much
- 50:07Speaker 7: Radica for joining us today.
- 50:10Speaker 13: Thank you, thank you so much.
- 50:12Speaker 4: Fama doing.
- 50:14Speaker 7: All right, guys, we'll be right back after this.
- 50:17Speaker 6: But the.
- 50:19Speaker 38: Hondo locomemedy, But hondocome many.
- 50:35Speaker 20: As you breathed, Lona Jesse.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Hold holy on my body.
- 50:47Speaker 31: Breathing ho on, Sorry, joh't Belanyny.
- 51:05Speaker 39: Sorry, r Card Pussage, Yes, so sorry, Rama Card Pussage.
- 51:23Speaker 31: Yes, there come my body and the tennis recap some
- 51:40Speaker 31: roa sorry.
- 51:44Speaker 40: John l y oh you Knowternity, I'm sorry, Rama Card
- 51:58Speaker 40: a pussy, yes, Son said, looking.
- 52:10Speaker 2: Kind of pussy.
- 52:12Speaker 7: Yes, I've saved my favorite few songs here. Towards the
- 52:56Speaker 7: end of this show, of course, as we start to
- 53:00Speaker 7: in on what was a week long spotlight on the
- 53:04Speaker 7: Runder and the Runder the Revenge. And it's been fun
- 53:08Speaker 7: doing this, folks, it really has, because it's given us
- 53:10Speaker 7: a chance to really put this film into perspective for
- 53:13Speaker 7: everybody and its impact. And it's large because the film really,
- 53:18Speaker 7: in a lot of people's eyes, came in and saved
- 53:21Speaker 7: the industry as it was kind of decimated and breaking
- 53:24Speaker 7: into a million pieces. It's kind of re established. The
- 53:28Speaker 7: institution of Bollywood is good. Now let's bring Induitadas Gupta
- 53:32Speaker 7: to the show. What's up?
- 53:33Speaker 41: Thanks Sammy. Hey everyone, this is your Ruckus Avenue Radio music.
- 53:38Speaker 41: Crispondent back with some fun sacs about your favorite artists.
- 53:42Speaker 41: Let's talk about any unkind the Kerala Bourne Houston Brett
- 53:45Speaker 41: rapper tearing through the global hip hop scene. He crashed
- 53:48Speaker 41: onto charts with big Dogs, the high velocity anthem and
- 53:51Speaker 41: motor stunt visual that was so electric even asap Rocky hopped.
- 53:56Speaker 30: On the remix.
- 53:57Speaker 7: Now his debut mistake Monsoon Season is out.
- 54:00Speaker 41: Think twelve tracks Alive with Sonic Grain featuring fire collaps
- 54:03Speaker 41: like Reckless with Densel Curry, Goons with Maxo Cream and
- 54:06Speaker 41: the emotional ripples. As someone told me with Roycy, it's
- 54:09Speaker 41: not just a record, It's a sonic Monsoon bringing immersive
- 54:13Speaker 41: emotion and unfiltered energy. However, he did not stop there
- 54:17Speaker 41: this summer. He headlined Coachella, packed venues across the UK
- 54:21Speaker 41: and Europe and even had a nod from the Indian
- 54:23Speaker 41: Prime Minister. Then Global Wrap Energy with soul and authenticity.
- 54:28Speaker 19: Well that's all for me now, back to.
- 54:30Speaker 2: You, Sammy.
- 54:30Speaker 7: Hanumankind has taken Indian hip hop and put some respect
- 54:36Speaker 7: on its name globally. He really has. And of course
- 54:39Speaker 7: this performance on this song to big Dogs, to all
- 54:44Speaker 7: kinds of stuff that he's been doing, shout out to
- 54:47Speaker 7: hanuman kind. Everybody, get ready.
- 55:00Speaker 6: Up to mistake.
- 55:00Speaker 7: They come me, you're bad man.
- 55:01Speaker 1: That's a funny good thing.
- 55:02Speaker 29: I'm gonna say, swing back when another man swing.
- 55:05Speaker 7: So.
- 55:05Speaker 29: I made my mama cry when they made your heads
- 55:07Speaker 29: round ither forgive me.
- 55:08Speaker 6: I can't forgive them.
- 55:09Speaker 2: You know my head streak.
- 55:10Speaker 4: You know what I did then, what I do now?
- 55:13Speaker 2: All hours heaviest the head. It's a blessing and a curse.
- 55:45Speaker 6: Up, joke up.
- 56:09Speaker 9: The only coin the phone.
- 56:10Speaker 6: He's going in my mom all he's done.
- 56:15Speaker 4: Well, he it all.
- 56:17Speaker 9: The only coin the phone.
- 56:19Speaker 6: He's going all, he's done, He's it all.
- 56:26Speaker 29: I'm a king, but a bum mistake. That come me,
- 56:28Speaker 29: you're bad man. That's a good good thing. I said,
- 56:30Speaker 29: swing back when in the mess wing so I make
- 56:32Speaker 29: my mama prow and I make the ram. Heavy's the head.
- 56:38Speaker 29: Heavy is the head. Heavy is the head. It's a
- 56:40Speaker 29: blessed anticise.
- 56:41Speaker 7: Heavy is the head. Heavy is the head man. When
- 56:44Speaker 7: Jasmine Sandlist and honeyman Kind dropped the song, they certainly
- 56:48Speaker 7: moved the needle in the culture, much like the rest
- 56:51Speaker 7: of the music in this soundtrack certainly shout out to
- 56:54Speaker 7: Jasmine Sandlist, honeyman Kind and shut what such the folks.
- 56:58Speaker 7: I've been making music for years and I've spent four
- 57:01Speaker 7: days on this show inside one film franchise. That's not
- 57:04Speaker 7: something I do lightly. I don't do these weeks because
- 57:07Speaker 7: they're cute. I do them because every once in a while,
- 57:09Speaker 7: something happens in this culture that deserves the full hour
- 57:11Speaker 7: four days in a row. The under was that not
- 57:15Speaker 7: because of the box office, not because of the Netflix release,
- 57:18Speaker 7: because of what it proved that a Hindi film can
- 57:21Speaker 7: still command three and a half hours of your attention
- 57:24Speaker 7: if it earns it, that a soundtrack can carry a
- 57:27Speaker 7: story instead of just dressing it up, That a thirty
- 57:30Speaker 7: year old Punjabi folk song can sit underneath the twenty
- 57:34Speaker 7: twenty five spy thriller and make the whole thing feel inevitable.
- 57:38Speaker 7: And the voice of the duology sat right here today
- 57:41Speaker 7: and told you how that actually got made. The version
- 57:45Speaker 7: of the music in cinema we just spent a week inside,
- 57:48Speaker 7: and that's what we should be measuring everything against now,
- 57:52Speaker 7: not whether a film opened, whether the music did its job.
- 57:56Speaker 7: Tomorrow on the show, folks, it's our weekly top twenty.
- 58:00Speaker 7: I want you to do is listen for the songs
- 58:02Speaker 7: on the chart that do their job the way that
- 58:04Speaker 7: the Runder soundtrack did its job, because the ones that
- 58:08Speaker 7: did are the future of this music business. This song
- 58:11Speaker 7: right here is called Firse. It's my favorite song from
- 58:15Speaker 7: the two soundtracks. Sing Shush what such Dave. I've had
- 58:19Speaker 7: a great time hanging out with you all today, see
- 58:22Speaker 7: you tomorrow.
- 58:23Speaker 4: You do not.
- 58:32Speaker 2: Mor Yeah do s Macky many right yeah do.
