- 0:00Speaker 1: Hey guys, it's Matt Young here from King Parrot. I'm
- 0:03Speaker 1: here with Chris from Hemp mag and we're going to
- 0:06Speaker 1: shoot the shit and we're talking about When the Weed
- 0:09Speaker 1: Meets the Speed too or that's coming up in a
- 0:11Speaker 1: couple of weeks and with King Parrot and Weed Eater
- 0:14Speaker 1: and Astro Death and Chuff, it's going to be a
- 0:17Speaker 1: great time. And yeah that's me.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Welcome brother, Good to see your smile and face again.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Good to see yours, bro.
- 0:27Speaker 2: So as you say, man, the countdown.
- 0:28Speaker 3: Is on for the When the Weed Meets His Speed Or,
- 0:31Speaker 3: which kicks off at most As a Clubhouse on November
- 0:33Speaker 3: the sixth and goes through Newcastle, Sydney, Camra Ballaratch along Frankston,
- 0:38Speaker 3: Melbourne and Adelaide bruises up in Perth on November seventeen.
- 0:41Speaker 2: So have you done your stretches, mate, and your warm ups?
- 0:44Speaker 2: You ready to go?
- 0:45Speaker 1: Made, We're ready to go. Yeah, it's good man, it's exciting. Actually.
- 0:49Speaker 1: You know, we've had a couple of months off playing
- 0:52Speaker 1: shows and all that sort of stuff because we've been
- 0:55Speaker 1: really focusing on the new record and getting a finished
- 1:00Speaker 1: touch is done and just spending time in the studio
- 1:04Speaker 1: and focusing on that, and now it's sort of getting
- 1:08Speaker 1: to that point where we're like we're ready to play again,
- 1:10Speaker 1: ready to hit the road again and do what we
- 1:12Speaker 1: do and then yeah, hopefully start unleashing this new record
- 1:17Speaker 1: next year. But in the meantime, we're going to going
- 1:20Speaker 1: to smash out a big Aussie tour and get around
- 1:23Speaker 1: the country and see our people.
- 1:25Speaker 3: You mentioned the other bands before, but they are Weed
- 1:28Speaker 3: Eater from North Carolina, and you've got Austray and Astrodath
- 1:31Speaker 3: and Chough with it, so I know you've got a
- 1:33Speaker 3: lot to do with this sort of stuff.
- 1:34Speaker 2: So why choose those particular bands for this tour.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Well, we've had a long relationship with the guys from
- 1:43Speaker 1: weed To going back to like almost ten years. We've
- 1:47Speaker 1: toured with them in Europe and in America a few times,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and we've just become really good mates with those guys,
- 1:54Speaker 1: and we love those guys and we think they're a
- 1:57Speaker 1: great band. And the one thing that we have is
- 2:00Speaker 1: that when we like when we play together, it just worked,
- 2:05Speaker 1: like the chemistry between the bands just works. You know,
- 2:07Speaker 1: they're stylistically completely different to us, but it's just you know,
- 2:13Speaker 1: like sometimes I get a bit, you know, if it's
- 2:15Speaker 1: all just one thing all the time, it shows it
- 2:18Speaker 1: gets a little boring, you know. It's like it's all
- 2:22Speaker 1: grind bands or all stoner bands, or all like just
- 2:26Speaker 1: rock bands or whatever. It can just get a little
- 2:27Speaker 1: bit boring. So we'd like to mix it up and
- 2:31Speaker 1: have a few different flavors. And I think when the
- 2:34Speaker 1: wed even means, the Speeds are definitely caters for that,
- 2:39Speaker 1: you know, you know, like ourselves, and sure for the
- 2:42Speaker 1: more more extreme, but and we'd eat an astro death
- 2:45Speaker 1: and more kind of in that sludgy stoner kind of realm.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But I think each band is different, is unique in
- 2:51Speaker 1: its own ride as well. So I think there's there's
- 2:53Speaker 1: something there for everyone. And and we've always been very
- 2:58Speaker 1: passionate about bringing up and bands with us on tour,
- 3:01Speaker 1: out on the road and trying to support the scene
- 3:04Speaker 1: as much as we possibly can. So yeah, that's why
- 3:07Speaker 1: we wanted to have our straight Death and chuff as well.
- 3:10Speaker 3: I generally don't like putting labels on bands, but I
- 3:12Speaker 3: did a bit of a tally up from these guys
- 3:14Speaker 3: on tour, and you've got the sludge to thrash, to
- 3:18Speaker 3: stoner to grind to doom to death. Like you cover
- 3:20Speaker 3: a bit of everything there, mate, but at the end
- 3:22Speaker 3: of the day, it's just going to be fucking brutal.
- 3:24Speaker 3: There's there's no other words for it.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it, man, I agree, it's it's gonna be awesome,
- 3:28Speaker 1: you know. And one of the things that I'm most
- 3:30Speaker 1: excited about is bringing weed E to places like the
- 3:33Speaker 1: Gold Coast and Newcastle and Geelong and Ballarat and Frankston
- 3:38Speaker 1: and places where they haven't been before, and you know,
- 3:42Speaker 1: getting to do you know, have a little bit of
- 3:44Speaker 1: time up in Queensland, a little bit of time in
- 3:45Speaker 1: New South Wales, you know, Canberra too. We're doing Canberra
- 3:50Speaker 1: as well, and be able to sort of hang out
- 3:53Speaker 1: with them in Victoria a little bit and show them
- 3:56Speaker 1: some of the stuff and have those days where we're
- 3:59Speaker 1: not it's not too travel in between shows. Is something
- 4:02Speaker 1: that we really wanted to do with those guys, and
- 4:05Speaker 1: you know, going by the ticket sales and everything like that,
- 4:07Speaker 1: we're getting a lot of support for it. So it's
- 4:09Speaker 1: it's it's great that that that's happening as well.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Now you guys are no strangers to being out on
- 4:15Speaker 3: the road and plan live ro But at this.
- 4:17Speaker 2: Stage of priamte, do you still need to.
- 4:19Speaker 3: Do a lot of a lot of rehearsals before you
- 4:22Speaker 3: head out or did you just meet up a couple
- 4:23Speaker 3: of days before, you know, run through the run through,
- 4:26Speaker 3: the ride out the edges and off the gay.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Well, you know, like we yeah, we usually jammed a
- 4:33Speaker 1: few days before the tour. You know, we've been rehearsing
- 4:38Speaker 1: last week and just getting everything ready. You know, we
- 4:43Speaker 1: practice practice at home and practice. You know, we we
- 4:47Speaker 1: take it pretty seriously, you know, like we we really
- 4:51Speaker 1: want to put on the best show we possibly can
- 4:53Speaker 1: and and that means practice. So yeah, I mean we
- 4:57Speaker 1: have played a lot of shows, we have done a
- 4:58Speaker 1: lot of tours, and we do you know, like it
- 5:02Speaker 1: only takes a couple of a couple of sets for
- 5:04Speaker 1: us to sort of get back in the rhythm of
- 5:07Speaker 1: it all. You know, I like to I like to
- 5:09Speaker 1: have a good couple of at least a few days before.
- 5:11Speaker 1: It's that fine line as well, like you don't want
- 5:13Speaker 1: to jam too much before the tour because you don't
- 5:16Speaker 1: want to blow your voice out and all that sort
- 5:18Speaker 1: of thing. And but you know, it's it's pretty safe
- 5:23Speaker 1: to say at this point of our career is that,
- 5:26Speaker 1: you know, we kind of know what we're doing.
- 5:30Speaker 3: I know a lot of bothal us like just sort
- 5:31Speaker 3: of practice or get ready by walking around the house
- 5:33Speaker 3: singing or singing in the shower. But someone like yourself,
- 5:36Speaker 3: if you did that, the police would be called. Bro,
- 5:38Speaker 3: So did you sing around the house much?
- 5:41Speaker 1: A little bit? Only I do it, man, I only
- 5:46Speaker 1: do it when no one's around, you know. I only
- 5:47Speaker 1: do it when I'm here on my own. So and
- 5:49Speaker 1: I'll like, I don't know, I've had neighbors in the
- 5:53Speaker 1: past that like where I've been, like I'll close all
- 5:56Speaker 1: the doors and all that if I'm doing like some
- 5:57Speaker 1: recording or demo ing or just or whatever. And I've
- 6:01Speaker 1: had neighbors in the past and I'll be like, can
- 6:03Speaker 1: you hear me when I'm screaming at like midnight? And
- 6:06Speaker 1: They're like, na, never never heard you. And I'm like, Okay,
- 6:09Speaker 1: that's cool. So that's I don't know what's going on there.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Maybe they're just heavy sleepers or something.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Scared made that's what they're petrified.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe.
- 6:21Speaker 3: See if you guys play line made like in the
- 6:23Speaker 3: tests back, it's always give a thousand percent on stage
- 6:26Speaker 3: but how about from the crowd's perspective, like, is there
- 6:28Speaker 3: anything special that a crowd can do to dig your
- 6:31Speaker 3: guys up more, you know and make you walk off
- 6:33Speaker 3: stage going like fuck, yeah that was that was really good.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I think we love that. We love the audience interaction.
- 6:41Speaker 1: That's always been a big part of our show, you know.
- 6:43Speaker 1: And we we love the back and forth banter with
- 6:48Speaker 1: the audience. That's always been a big part of our
- 6:50Speaker 1: show and so that always gets us going. We always
- 6:55Speaker 1: have fun with that. I know Slights loves that. But yeah,
- 6:59Speaker 1: we feed off the n G of the audience for sure,
- 7:01Speaker 1: and it's always great to have them excited, in enthusiastic
- 7:06Speaker 1: audience that knows what to expect from our show. And
- 7:09Speaker 1: we find that we get that a light in Australia
- 7:12Speaker 1: and we're very grateful for that. You know, some of
- 7:16Speaker 1: the places overseas where we play, we might not know
- 7:19Speaker 1: us as well. It can reception can sometimes be a
- 7:21Speaker 1: little different, but in Australia it's generally, you know, people
- 7:26Speaker 1: know that it's going to be foot to the floor
- 7:27Speaker 1: from the from the first no you know, so yeah.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Before we move on from the we meet the speed
- 7:35Speaker 3: to the mate like, where can people get tickets? Like,
- 7:37Speaker 3: I know everyone always says that it's going to sell out,
- 7:39Speaker 3: but you've had to upgrade the Perth venue. Like, tickets
- 7:41Speaker 3: are selling really well, so people should get in early.
- 7:44Speaker 2: Where can they get them a key parrot?
- 7:46Speaker 1: Dot osticks, dot com, dot au is where the tickets
- 7:49Speaker 1: are on sale.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Good.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Now you mentioned a new album before brow and I
- 7:54Speaker 3: know what you're like, like, if you don't want to
- 7:55Speaker 3: tell me anything, I'm not going to get fuck all
- 7:57Speaker 3: out of yet.
- 7:57Speaker 2: But what what can you tell me about at it?
- 8:01Speaker 1: Well, we've been working on it for the best part
- 8:03Speaker 1: of this year. Some of the ideas and the songs
- 8:07Speaker 1: we've had for some time, you know, like four or
- 8:11Speaker 1: five years. And I guess during that COVID time, we
- 8:14Speaker 1: kind of just had a bit of a break from
- 8:16Speaker 1: the band really, Like we did a few shows here
- 8:18Speaker 1: and there, and we put out an EP, but that
- 8:20Speaker 1: was songs that we recorded earlier, so we had we
- 8:23Speaker 1: just sort of took a bit of a break, and
- 8:26Speaker 1: I guess sort of once that was all over, we
- 8:29Speaker 1: reconvened and then we started touring again and playing some shows,
- 8:35Speaker 1: and then after we went back to America last year,
- 8:38Speaker 1: we were kind of like, let's go, let's let's get
- 8:41Speaker 1: a new album going. So we started demoing, and we
- 8:44Speaker 1: spent a bit of time doing pre production and then
- 8:49Speaker 1: and just getting prepared, just making sure that we were
- 8:51Speaker 1: prepared as best we could be for the record. We
- 8:56Speaker 1: like to do things really organically. We're not sort of
- 8:58Speaker 1: one of those sort of computer being hands that sends
- 9:01Speaker 1: you know, the rights, and we like to get in
- 9:03Speaker 1: the room and jam and we feel that adds to
- 9:08Speaker 1: what we do in terms of the the fluidity of
- 9:13Speaker 1: the songs, if that makes sense, Like we all like
- 9:15Speaker 1: to have a little bit of input, you know, we
- 9:17Speaker 1: like to be able to do it on the fly
- 9:19Speaker 1: and on the spot and really hash the ideas out.
- 9:22Speaker 1: So we hope that comes across in the songwriting. And yeah,
- 9:28Speaker 1: so we spent quite a bit of time doing that,
- 9:30Speaker 1: getting all that ready, and then we've been in danger
- 9:32Speaker 1: time studios getting all the drums and the guitars and
- 9:36Speaker 1: everything down, and now we're sort of just at the
- 9:38Speaker 1: final stages of mixing. Really, we're kind of getting right
- 9:42Speaker 1: to that very end part and it's sounding awesome. I
- 9:45Speaker 1: can't wait to get it out. I'm really excited, and
- 9:48Speaker 1: we're going to play a whole bunch of new songs
- 9:50Speaker 1: on this tour as well, so that's exciting too. So
- 9:52Speaker 1: we'll get the fans will get a sneak peak as
- 9:54Speaker 1: well on at the shows.
- 9:57Speaker 2: They imagine that you spent a bit of time in
- 9:59Speaker 2: the studio. Is that normal for you guys?
- 10:01Speaker 3: You normally sort of take your time in there or
- 10:03Speaker 3: do you sort of go in there and smash it
- 10:05Speaker 3: out and get out?
- 10:06Speaker 1: That's this has been different for us. This has been different.
- 10:09Speaker 1: We've taken our time with this. We've really slowed the
- 10:12Speaker 1: whole process down. We've sort of yea, even from the
- 10:17Speaker 1: pre production stages, we kind of got everything right there
- 10:20Speaker 1: and then we just sort of recorded and we did it.
- 10:23Speaker 1: We've just done a bit by bit. And then with
- 10:26Speaker 1: the mixing process, we've had some days where we've gone in,
- 10:29Speaker 1: we've mixed, and then we take it, take it away
- 10:32Speaker 1: and get feedback off everyone and then have a listen
- 10:35Speaker 1: and then and then we go back in and change
- 10:37Speaker 1: it and just sort of make the little adjustments that
- 10:40Speaker 1: we need to make here and there. But we're getting
- 10:42Speaker 1: really close to the end now, so that's exciting, and
- 10:45Speaker 1: you know, I'm kind of mindful as well, not going
- 10:49Speaker 1: you know, like dragging it out as well. So I
- 10:51Speaker 1: think I feel like we're getting really really close now.
- 10:54Speaker 1: So that's that's exciting. And yeah, it's just going to
- 10:57Speaker 1: be awesome to get it out there next year.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I need one thing the fans really want to know, bro,
- 11:02Speaker 3: is like, is it what people would expect from King
- 11:04Speaker 3: parad Or You're gonna throw a few curveballs, isn't it.
- 11:08Speaker 1: I think it's going to be what people expect. But
- 11:10Speaker 1: I feel like it's both kind of leveling up, you know.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I feel like the sound and the production that we've
- 11:17Speaker 1: been able to produce on this record is a bit
- 11:21Speaker 1: different to what we've done in the past. I think
- 11:23Speaker 1: it feels sharper and tighter, but I feel like the
- 11:31Speaker 1: themes and songs and all of that stuff is still
- 11:34Speaker 1: kind of in the vein of what we do. I
- 11:36Speaker 1: feel like some of the songs that we've written are
- 11:38Speaker 1: definitely our strongest songs. But I suppose every band says that, right.
- 11:44Speaker 2: You know, they're coming from you, It's got to be right.
- 11:47Speaker 1: Yeah, it just feels that to me. That's what it
- 11:49Speaker 1: feels like. When I listen to it, I'm like, yeah,
- 11:51Speaker 1: But then again. You listen to it over and over
- 11:53Speaker 1: and over and over and over again, and it's like,
- 11:56Speaker 1: you know, I can't tell if it's good anymore. Yeah,
- 11:59Speaker 1: I don't know. It's like, so once we're done and
- 12:02Speaker 1: we release it, it'll be up to everyone else.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Well we have a single before Christmas?
- 12:08Speaker 1: Unlikely? Yeah, Yeah, we're gonna just we're just gonna roll
- 12:11Speaker 1: it out next year. That's what. We're just sort of
- 12:13Speaker 1: taking the pressure off everyone to do that. Like we
- 12:16Speaker 1: were thinking about it and then we're just like, let's
- 12:18Speaker 1: just not put the pressure on everyone. We've got obviously
- 12:21Speaker 1: big news for next year, so we're going to roll
- 12:23Speaker 1: it all in with that.
- 12:26Speaker 3: Speaking of big news, the massive news is that your
- 12:28Speaker 3: dramas Totty shaved off his rereadlocks recently based to face
- 12:32Speaker 3: since they've.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Gone Yeah yeah, yeah, I saw him last week. Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 12:38Speaker 1: he looks different. Man. I couldn't imagine the the relief
- 12:44Speaker 1: and the weight of it all. Is just would have
- 12:47Speaker 1: been ridiculous carrying out all that shit around for so
- 12:49Speaker 1: many years. So I'm happy for him that he's that
- 12:54Speaker 1: he's got rid of him. Yeah, I mean, other than
- 12:57Speaker 1: the fact that they also stink like he's weren't too bad.
- 13:02Speaker 1: I'm smell worse, that's for sure. But yeah, he did
- 13:05Speaker 1: a good thing, you know, and he raised a lot
- 13:07Speaker 1: of money for Support Act, which is a which is
- 13:09Speaker 1: an organization that we are fully support and does a
- 13:14Speaker 1: great some great things for the music industry. So yeah,
- 13:17Speaker 1: we're right behind those guys.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, but there is actually some other big news toomtes.
- 13:22Speaker 3: So the big news is that you guys are going
- 13:24Speaker 3: to be joining Pantier and Power Trip for a run
- 13:27Speaker 3: and shows to Europe.
- 13:28Speaker 2: From the UK next year.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Yeah, man, relations mate, thank you very much. Man.
- 13:33Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like, yeah, I said, I was saying to
- 13:36Speaker 4: someone the other day, and for a band like us,
- 13:38Speaker 4: and you know, a band it's an uncompromising band like us,
- 13:44Speaker 4: it's it's quite an honor to.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Be able to tour with fans of that ilk and uh,
- 13:53Speaker 1: you know, I love Power Trip and Pantera have been
- 13:55Speaker 1: a favorite band of mine since I was a kid.
- 13:57Speaker 1: So we're just on the to have that opportunity and
- 14:01Speaker 1: and you know, play some of these ridiculous venues that
- 14:07Speaker 1: we're going to be playing, like playing at Wembley Arena
- 14:09Speaker 1: and playing at these huge places in Germany and France
- 14:14Speaker 1: and Belgium and Switzerland and Italy, and it's, uh, it's
- 14:20Speaker 1: an honor, man, It's it's gonna be huge. We're very
- 14:23Speaker 1: very excited, and I think it's a great way for
- 14:25Speaker 1: us to you know, kick off a new album cycle. Right.
- 14:30Speaker 1: It couldn't be any better.
- 14:33Speaker 3: You've obviously known about this for a little while, bro,
- 14:35Speaker 3: So how how hard is it to keep a secret either?
- 14:37Speaker 3: You know, like you'd have to tell your dog or
- 14:40Speaker 3: your cat, you'd have to tell someone Like how hard
- 14:42Speaker 3: is it keeping ship like that?
- 14:43Speaker 1: In? Yeah? Ah, yeah, it's it's it's tough, man, It's
- 14:49Speaker 1: I mean, obviously you have you trusted people in the
- 14:52Speaker 1: circles and and all of that that you kind of
- 14:55Speaker 1: you know in the cloak in the circles that within
- 14:57Speaker 1: the band and you know, so we can't tell a
- 15:01Speaker 1: couple of people, but it's it's tough. Yeah, it's tough.
- 15:07Speaker 1: You know. It's like when you get the call and
- 15:10Speaker 1: you're like, wow, are you going to be doing that?
- 15:12Speaker 1: And it's like holy shit, really, you know, it's just
- 15:15Speaker 1: it's bizarre. It's bizarre, and I just guess we're very
- 15:20Speaker 1: grateful to have had the opportunity to do things like
- 15:23Speaker 1: this on numerous occasions, numerous numerous occasions.
- 15:29Speaker 3: Is it a case by now have you just picking
- 15:31Speaker 3: up the phone these sage and call on Phil and
- 15:33Speaker 3: just saying, hey, bro, we're keen to tour out your way?
- 15:36Speaker 2: What shows you thought for us?
- 15:39Speaker 3: Yes?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Yes, and no.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:43Speaker 1: It just kind of happens organically really, you know, like
- 15:46Speaker 1: there's that respect there between us and the Pantera camp
- 15:51Speaker 1: and Philip and all. You know, we've been working with
- 15:56Speaker 1: Philip for a long time and there's a good relationship
- 15:58Speaker 1: there and it's a great opportunity for us to hang out.
- 16:03Speaker 1: It's business wise. I mean, we we're with Housecore Records
- 16:07Speaker 1: in North America and we've been with them for you
- 16:09Speaker 1: know a decade now, nearly over a decade now, and
- 16:15Speaker 1: and and touring with you know down Super Joint, the
- 16:19Speaker 1: Illegals and now Pantero as well. It's like I think
- 16:25Speaker 1: he enjoys being able to support the underground scene and
- 16:28Speaker 1: the bands that he signed to his label and that
- 16:30Speaker 1: he believes in, and and giving us the platform to
- 16:33Speaker 1: be able to play in front of those larger audiences.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Is uh, you know what helps it will keep ticking
- 16:38Speaker 1: over and keeping it, keeping it alive and keeping it
- 16:41Speaker 1: real and yeah, we're just you know, it's it's pretty
- 16:46Speaker 1: surreal for us to be a band like us from
- 16:49Speaker 1: Australia that does our thing and and have that kind
- 16:53Speaker 1: of connection and respect from someone that's obviously achieved a
- 17:00Speaker 1: lot in their music career and giving us the opportunity
- 17:04Speaker 1: to do similar stuff and you know, playing for those
- 17:07Speaker 1: bigger audiences is huge. Yeah, it's ridiculous.
- 17:13Speaker 2: A pretty intense sort of a dude, bro, But what's
- 17:15Speaker 2: he like on tour?
- 17:16Speaker 1: Like?
- 17:16Speaker 2: Is he a practical joker? Like? Is he you'd see
- 17:19Speaker 2: a side of him? They're not many people aud see.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Oh yeah, totally. I mean we have a ball. We
- 17:23Speaker 1: always have a ball. We you know, backstage and before
- 17:28Speaker 1: and after the shows and stuff. It's always with great time.
- 17:31Speaker 1: It's always fun. There's always a stereo going, there's always
- 17:33Speaker 1: dancing going on, there's always jokes going on. It's it's
- 17:37Speaker 1: always fun. You know, we go out at dinner and
- 17:39Speaker 1: do all that stuff and it's it's always awesome. You know,
- 17:43Speaker 1: we always have a great time and yeah, it's just yeah,
- 17:48Speaker 1: it's quite cool, you know.
- 17:49Speaker 3: So, yeah, and it's gonna be the same line up.
- 17:51Speaker 3: It's Charlie and drums and Zach gitar.
- 17:54Speaker 1: As far as I know. Yeah, yeah, I think that's
- 17:57Speaker 1: that's the band.
- 18:00Speaker 2: All right.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Well, before I let you go, mate, we've started a
- 18:02Speaker 3: new segment called photo Bomb, which basically involves me trolling
- 18:06Speaker 3: through your social media before we have a chat, and
- 18:08Speaker 3: I pick out a couple of photos that I want
- 18:10Speaker 3: you to tell.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Me a little bit more about.
- 18:12Speaker 3: Okay, start off with this one, mate, Like, what the
- 18:15Speaker 3: fuck was coming through your head?
- 18:18Speaker 2: What was going through his head at that point in time?
- 18:21Speaker 1: Well, that's uh, what was going through my head? I
- 18:26Speaker 1: don't I don't even know where that was. I can't
- 18:28Speaker 1: even think of where that was. It looks like it
- 18:30Speaker 1: might have been a long time ago, just judging by
- 18:35Speaker 1: the hairdoo and yeah, but Slats is obviously just pulling
- 18:40Speaker 1: a slat space or he may be seeing something extracurricular
- 18:43Speaker 1: in the audience, and by the look of my head,
- 18:47Speaker 1: it looks I might be looking at something strange going
- 18:49Speaker 1: on in the audience too, because strange things do happen
- 18:51Speaker 1: in our crowds.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Believe the strangest thing this happened.
- 18:57Speaker 1: Sexual acts in the audience by audience members just trying
- 19:01Speaker 1: to like put us off or like you know, like
- 19:04Speaker 1: we've had couples in the front doing stupid stuff like
- 19:07Speaker 1: of a sexually explicit nature. Definitely seen that happen. That
- 19:13Speaker 1: could be what's happening in that photo.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Man, you don't want to look and swatches like can
- 19:19Speaker 3: I can I jump out there?
- 19:20Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I willing participant?
- 19:25Speaker 2: All right. The other one I've got for you.
- 19:26Speaker 3: A lot of people know this story, mate, but it
- 19:28Speaker 3: never fucking tires. Tell us about the time you met
- 19:31Speaker 3: the fucking Wiggles at the areas well, that was.
- 19:36Speaker 1: That was really strange actually, like we were they do
- 19:41Speaker 1: this thing at the areas where like you go, you
- 19:44Speaker 1: kind of rock up and then they they take you
- 19:47Speaker 1: into these limits. They go, oh, come and jump in
- 19:50Speaker 1: a limousine and they drive you around the block and
- 19:52Speaker 1: then drop you off at the red carpet. And so
- 19:56Speaker 1: they did that with us, and we got out and
- 19:59Speaker 1: like all the pat barazzi in the media and that
- 20:01Speaker 1: of there and they're all taking photos and stuff, and
- 20:03Speaker 1: then where you sort of jumped out and they were
- 20:05Speaker 1: just sort of like the fuck are these guys? You know,
- 20:08Speaker 1: we just sort of like what they just sort of
- 20:12Speaker 1: put their cameras down, but then straight away the Wiggles
- 20:16Speaker 1: came in in the limo after us, and we are quick,
- 20:19Speaker 1: let's jump in with the Wiggles. So that's what that
- 20:22Speaker 1: photo is.
- 20:23Speaker 2: Wiggles know who you were? Uh?
- 20:26Speaker 1: Anthony did? Yeah? Yeah, I don't think the others did,
- 20:30Speaker 1: but Anthony definitely knew who we were. Man, he's a
- 20:33Speaker 1: great guy. I've had a few chats with him on
- 20:35Speaker 1: Instagram and stuff over the years and he's a really
- 20:38Speaker 1: nice guy.
- 20:40Speaker 2: All right, brother, Well that's all we've got for you tonight.
- 20:43Speaker 3: But in the meantime, the Weed It Meets the Speed
- 20:45Speaker 3: Tour kicks off on November six.
- 20:47Speaker 2: That mos on the Gold Coast.
- 20:48Speaker 3: I noticed there's a couple of Wednesdays and a few
- 20:50Speaker 3: school nights in there as well, so make sure people
- 20:53Speaker 3: look at the dates, they know what it's on and
- 20:55Speaker 3: get amongst it.
- 20:57Speaker 1: Absolutely, man, thanks so much for your support. We really appreciate.
- 21:00Speaker 1: Chea
