- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to kp I AM six forty the Bill
- 0:03Speaker 1: Handles show on demand on the iHeartRadio apps.
- 0:12Speaker 2: More Handle on the News with Amy, Neil and me.
- 0:16Speaker 2: All Right, nicely done, snow's melting.
- 0:24Speaker 3: That's it, okay, And now Handle on the news, ladies
- 0:29Speaker 3: and gentlemen, here's Bill Handle.
- 0:33Speaker 1: Good morning Friday, Foody Friday, as candle anything, Friday, April third,
- 0:40Speaker 1: And I was talking to Neil before.
- 0:41Speaker 2: We went on the air, and.
- 0:44Speaker 1: For both of us, we work on Saturdays, but that
- 0:47Speaker 1: still doesn't mean that Friday is not a Funday sort
- 0:52Speaker 1: of end the week, and we try to end the
- 0:56Speaker 1: week with some kind of miserable story so you can
- 0:58Speaker 1: start the weekend feeling the way I think you should feel.
- 1:02Speaker 2: All right, quick, hello to one and all. Good morning.
- 1:07Speaker 1: Amy. Hard at work looking at something, looking at the stories,
- 1:11Speaker 1: I'm assuming, Yeah, okay, yeah, you actually worked for a living.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Wow.
- 1:16Speaker 1: I was just talking to Neil about our new show
- 1:19Speaker 1: Monks and Merrill or Marilyn Monks.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Who is what is the colled Momks and Maryland.
- 1:25Speaker 4: It's Monks and Merrill, because if you say Marilyn Monks,
- 1:27Speaker 4: it sounds like you're saying the person's name.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Is Marilyn. We had this sound like monks and Maryland
- 1:33Speaker 2: does it because it's my marks and a down named Maryland.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Either way, it sounds like Meryl. Doesn't matter. People will
- 1:40Speaker 2: hear during I know.
- 1:42Speaker 1: So we were talking about we were talking about the
- 1:44Speaker 1: show and how good, how good it actually sounds.
- 1:48Speaker 2: They yeah, I know, they do sound good. So and
- 1:51Speaker 2: look at that. They lasted more than a week.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Yeah, which is very surprising because I told them both.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I'm at the end of the week. I'm having lunch
- 2:01Speaker 2: with our boss. What's his face him? Yeah, that guy.
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yeah, And we just check in once in a while,
- 2:10Speaker 1: and I always ask him.
- 2:12Speaker 2: Who's on the cutting block. He will not tell me.
- 2:17Speaker 2: And I know you're a sieve.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That's not true. That's not true at all. I give
- 2:22Speaker 1: you my opinion, and usually my opinion prevails because I
- 2:27Speaker 1: have a very strong grip of what's happening in this
- 2:29Speaker 1: radio station and on this radio station.
- 2:32Speaker 2: So don't give me I'm a sieve. Crap.
- 2:34Speaker 5: By the way, good morning, Neil, No, not after that, okay,
- 2:41Speaker 5: cono boycotting. Good good Friday to you, sir, Good Friday.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Oh it's religious. It is a good Friday. Is this
- 2:48Speaker 5: good Friday.
- 2:49Speaker 2: It is what happened.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I've always wondered about Good Friday, is that when Jesus
- 2:54Speaker 1: went up that he goes sideways.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Oh okay, well what all right? Well, Good Friday risen?
- 3:00Speaker 2: He has risen. Indeed, come on, that's what I'm saying.
- 3:04Speaker 1: I always thought that. I always thought that he is raising.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Uh And it was a foody Friday thing.
- 3:11Speaker 2: And it's present tense. If you notice he is risen. Yeah,
- 3:15Speaker 2: how do you do? He is risen? And every year?
- 3:17Speaker 2: Because is he rising every year? No, it's a commemorative
- 3:26Speaker 2: like a trump coin. Okay, yeah, so I'm very confused
- 3:32Speaker 2: about all of this.
- 3:33Speaker 3: Every Easter Sunday you look to fellow Christians and you
- 3:36Speaker 3: say Happy Easter, and to our Jewish brethren.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Nice try, okay, fair enough.
- 3:45Speaker 2: The Joe, I know shoes.
- 3:50Speaker 3: It was the Pharisees and the Sadducees.
- 3:54Speaker 2: It's complicated. Yeah, yeah, well I pray for you know
- 3:58Speaker 2: it used to be.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Ever since I live in a gated community, they don't come.
- 4:02Speaker 2: They don't come to the door.
- 4:03Speaker 1: The Jehovah witnesses of Mormons who come to the door,
- 4:05Speaker 1: the proselytizers, and they come to the door and go.
- 4:09Speaker 2: But I'm Jewish.
- 4:10Speaker 1: Doesn't stop them, mind you, It's never been stopped or
- 4:13Speaker 1: I said I'm Jewish, and then they just keep on going.
- 4:16Speaker 1: And there's nothing like a reaction where you don't understand. Okay,
- 4:22Speaker 1: let's get this straight.
- 4:24Speaker 2: My great great great great great great great.
- 4:26Speaker 1: Great grandfather fifteenth removed sold them the nails.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Jeez, that generally stops them. Good morning, will boy, good morning.
- 4:39Speaker 2: And uh and there's Anne, okay, and there she is,
- 4:42Speaker 2: Yeah she is, okay, all.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Right, enough for anti religious sentiment, complete sacriligious on on
- 4:51Speaker 1: Good Friday. Where when's the stone happening? You know, the
- 4:57Speaker 1: stone happening?
- 4:59Speaker 2: You know when they when I roll the stone back?
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yeah, when they do the and was it the Indiana
- 5:04Speaker 1: Jones stone that he is running away from.
- 5:08Speaker 2: No, that's more of a ball. Oh, but it's a
- 5:11Speaker 2: stone ball, which is.
- 5:13Speaker 3: Not completely inaccurate. But then there's a divot, and it
- 5:17Speaker 3: would be rolled into the divot. In this case, it
- 5:19Speaker 3: was sealed by one of the Romans centurions and had
- 5:25Speaker 3: a Roman seal on it. If the seal was to
- 5:27Speaker 3: be broken, anybody who broke it was to be killed
- 5:31Speaker 3: on site.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So touted in commons opening of the seal. Everybody died
- 5:36Speaker 1: that was there, which is a myth. By the way,
- 5:37Speaker 1: that's not true. Okay, I think it enough.
- 5:39Speaker 2: I will Lord forgive them. They know not what they do.
- 5:44Speaker 2: It's you know what they say that.
- 5:46Speaker 1: But if you look at the Yeah, I understand that
- 5:50Speaker 1: Jesus said that, But if you look at the literal
- 5:52Speaker 1: translation of what that is in.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Aramaic, it's somebody get over here with a ladder and
- 5:58Speaker 2: a set of pliers. Boy, it's going to be hot
- 6:03Speaker 2: where you end up, real hot.
- 6:06Speaker 3: It's it's translated differently. If you were there, it be
- 6:09Speaker 3: Lord forgive them because he's a freaking idiot.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Okay, guys, the Father would go out right.
- 6:15Speaker 1: Yeah, not bad. All right, let's do it, guys. We've
- 6:20Speaker 1: got some news to cover today. Boy, what a week
- 6:23Speaker 1: it has been. Uh. Let's start with a handle on
- 6:26Speaker 1: the news, Amy, Neil and me least. Sorry. Well, there
- 6:32Speaker 1: goes Pam Bondi. She's out as Attorney General, no surprise.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Fourteen months as the AG. I think it's the shortest
- 6:42Speaker 1: tenure of an AG in recent history.
- 6:45Speaker 2: And it was she married. I think she is, isn't she.
- 6:50Speaker 2: I'm just gonna wait for the fight. I don't know.
- 6:53Speaker 1: I don't know the answering. Assuming that she is uh
- 6:58Speaker 1: no idea.
- 6:58Speaker 2: Weird weird crap. Is her husband in too?
- 7:01Speaker 1: That's all certainly not christineo Han crap anyway. One of
- 7:07Speaker 1: the reasons she didn't do enough to nail Okay perceived enemies.
- 7:13Speaker 1: She didn't go far enough is one of the reasons. Uh.
- 7:17Speaker 1: And Trump wants well, and he wants the Justice Department
- 7:20Speaker 1: to be his Justice department. The concept of an independent
- 7:24Speaker 1: anything in the federal government doesn't exist in the Trump administration.
- 7:28Speaker 1: And then she completely blew it with the Epstein business,
- 7:31Speaker 1: just screwed it over completely.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Although I don't know how anybody could have done care
- 7:36Speaker 2: about that.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I think he cares about He cares about that in
- 7:40Speaker 1: terms of his public relations, in terms of its fallout, Yeah,
- 7:45Speaker 1: he cares big time.
- 7:46Speaker 2: In terms of his approval ratings.
- 7:49Speaker 1: You don't think the guy looks at approval ratings every
- 7:51Speaker 1: day of cosion.
- 7:53Speaker 4: Probably at approval ratings, he wouldn't be doing what he's
- 7:57Speaker 4: doing in Iran.
- 7:59Speaker 2: No, that's still does what it was.
- 8:01Speaker 1: But I think what happened is once he goes down
- 8:05Speaker 1: a path, then he doubles down on anything he does,
- 8:10Speaker 1: and I do believe if he thought the approval ratings
- 8:13Speaker 1: were going to be as miserable as they are, it
- 8:15Speaker 1: could be, and he may be right, he wouldn't have
- 8:17Speaker 1: gone down that path. But once he starts, there is
- 8:20Speaker 1: no going back ever with the president.
- 8:25Speaker 4: Okay, Trump's not the only one firing officials. Secretary of
- 8:32Speaker 4: War Pete heg Seth has removed the US Army's forty
- 8:35Speaker 4: first chief of Staff. It's General Randy George, or it
- 8:38Speaker 4: was General Randy George. Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell said General
- 8:43Speaker 4: George will be retiring from his position immediately. The Department
- 8:48Speaker 4: of War is grateful for General George's decades of service
- 8:51Speaker 4: to our nation. We wish him well in his retirement.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Right, and why did he get I think he just
- 9:00Speaker 1: didn't follow the path that Pete Hegseth wants. And that
- 9:04Speaker 1: is I think the same, the same philosophy thinking whatever
- 9:09Speaker 1: the administration says, we go forward and not even question
- 9:14Speaker 1: any aspect of a military encounter or a military campaign.
- 9:18Speaker 1: You don't question anything, and if you do, you're out
- 9:21Speaker 1: on your ear. And this is tough because the military
- 9:24Speaker 1: was another semi independent or at least if not independent,
- 9:29Speaker 1: the president and the and the administration.
- 9:31Speaker 2: Would leave the military alone.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Big picture, he would there would be some policy issues,
- 9:37Speaker 1: but it's not listening to anything that the military advises.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Not at all. Evolving door in the west wing like
- 9:47Speaker 2: in the back. Well, look what he seth is doing.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Yeah, look what he set is doing to the entire
- 9:51Speaker 1: hierarchy of the upper echelon of the military, the joint
- 9:56Speaker 1: chiefs of staff, by those below that head.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Of the army.
- 9:59Speaker 1: I mean all you know, they're all they're all on
- 10:01Speaker 1: the way out. And anybody who said anything against the
- 10:05Speaker 1: administration is gone, just decimated, obliterated in Donald Trump's words.
- 10:15Speaker 3: All right, So he said he was going to attack infrastructure,
- 10:19Speaker 3: but it looks like he got a bridge. President Trump
- 10:22Speaker 3: claimed responsibility for destroying Iran's largest bridge. That's just a
- 10:28Speaker 3: day after he threatened to bomb the country back into
- 10:30Speaker 3: the Stone Ages. So five weeks in, the biggest bridge
- 10:37Speaker 3: in Iran comes tumbling down, never to be used again.
- 10:42Speaker 2: Is that a bridge too far?
- 10:46Speaker 1: Oh, it's tumbling And yes, the same time, at the
- 10:49Speaker 1: same time he's saying peace, they're negotiating. We want peace,
- 10:53Speaker 1: we want the straight horror moves open you know, they're
- 10:56Speaker 1: both sides are sort of dipping their toes into talking
- 10:59Speaker 1: to each other, although the Trump administration says Iran's entire
- 11:03Speaker 1: foot is going into the negotiation pool, so there's a
- 11:07Speaker 1: little bit of a disargreement there, but he is going
- 11:11Speaker 1: again doubling down, doubling down.
- 11:14Speaker 2: And there's some bad news on that front too.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Is that, as the president has said, they obliterated the
- 11:21Speaker 1: country's ability to launch missiles and manufacture those drones.
- 11:26Speaker 2: We're hearing now and it's not being refuted that.
- 11:29Speaker 1: About half of the ability of those launchers and those
- 11:34Speaker 1: drones are decimated. There are still fifty percent left, and
- 11:39Speaker 1: they had lots and lots and lots of them.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Did they re did they reverse engineer those drones from
- 11:47Speaker 2: the one that Obama said we didn't drop at their
- 11:52Speaker 2: footsteps when he was president and then they reversed that.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I don't don't rones, no no tchnology.
- 12:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know if they reversed engineer. There was
- 12:04Speaker 1: one drone that was dropped if you remember years ago. Yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 1: and I remember the show. The administration said, now that
- 12:10Speaker 1: didn't happen. Then they came out said that it did happen,
- 12:13Speaker 1: and it was and then was questions because they only
- 12:16Speaker 1: showed the top of the drone. The bottom of the
- 12:18Speaker 1: drone had this black curtain thing around it, so there
- 12:22Speaker 1: was a lot of discussion. I don't think they reversed engineer.
- 12:25Speaker 1: I think Russia is giving them technology or they I
- 12:31Speaker 1: don't know, maybe they're developing on their own.
- 12:33Speaker 2: They're not.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Let me tell you something, tarn Has Tehran has some
- 12:35Speaker 1: really good scientists. These are not stupid people at all.
- 12:40Speaker 1: At some point we are definitely going to record everything
- 12:44Speaker 1: we say during the breaks and play though and play
- 12:46Speaker 1: that because that kono's shaking his head. But believe me,
- 12:50Speaker 1: that would be entertaining. You talk about ratings huh huh huh.
- 12:57Speaker 3: For example, and she busts her hump and she's the
- 13:00Speaker 3: mom that doesn't get a hot meal because she's preparing it,
- 13:05Speaker 3: and then she sits down to eat and we all.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Go, yeah, we have any echoes going on? Hey taking
- 13:13Speaker 2: care of it?
- 13:14Speaker 1: Okay, well, thank you. I know we tend to do
- 13:16Speaker 1: that because we're such a professional show.
- 13:18Speaker 2: I mean, we are freak out with I know he
- 13:21Speaker 2: does it every other break and you will go the
- 13:24Speaker 2: entire show with.
- 13:24Speaker 6: It, and you flip out, all right, Bill Handle, let's
- 13:33Speaker 6: do it, guys, more handle on the news, Amy Neil
- 13:35Speaker 6: and me.
- 13:39Speaker 2: Aman. We just did this story too, but quick headline.
- 13:42Speaker 4: Oh we did the oil story. Go oh, you want
- 13:46Speaker 4: to do the firepower again?
- 13:48Speaker 1: Uh no, we did the largest bridge and then, oh
- 13:50Speaker 1: my god, this should really be so simple.
- 13:52Speaker 2: They are numbered.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Number.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Wait a second, they are numbered how else? However, there
- 14:00Speaker 1: was a nuance here because if I had mentioned a story, uh,
- 14:05Speaker 1: and then the story comes up then and or and
- 14:10Speaker 1: and maybe I or maybe you determine that that story
- 14:14Speaker 1: has already been done in times you just mentioned in
- 14:17Speaker 1: passing and you don't give full details.
- 14:19Speaker 2: Okay, so we're supposed to balance, like do we.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Go to a What we want to do is make
- 14:26Speaker 1: it go a little bit quicker, And that seems to
- 14:29Speaker 1: be that's what you want.
- 14:30Speaker 2: Things to do, go quicker a little bit. Wow, you are,
- 14:35Speaker 2: and that's exact. Okay, Mom, Dad, the family apart. We're
- 14:39Speaker 2: totally getting a divorced. Okay. Lots of firepower left.
- 14:44Speaker 4: According to recent US intelligence assessments, roughly half of Iran's
- 14:51Speaker 4: missile launchers are still intact. In thousands of one way
- 14:53Speaker 4: attacked drones remain in Iran's Arsenal, despite the daily pounding
- 14:59Speaker 4: by you and Israeli strikes against military targets.
- 15:03Speaker 2: Apparently of these things are buried.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Now, didn't that sound exactly like I was saying in
- 15:08Speaker 1: the previous story. This is my point, Anne, because this
- 15:12Speaker 1: is the stuff that slows the show down. What organization
- 15:16Speaker 1: and patterns? Yes, and I don't want to and I
- 15:20Speaker 1: do not want the show to slow.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Down during the break, why didn't you mention that? Because
- 15:26Speaker 2: we're talking about other dumb things, you know, what we
- 15:28Speaker 2: ought to do?
- 15:29Speaker 1: Spend the rest of the news hour talking about how
- 15:32Speaker 1: we should do the news hour.
- 15:34Speaker 3: What do you think I'm going to build a tool
- 15:36Speaker 3: shed and go shoot you behind it?
- 15:38Speaker 2: Okay, it's Friday. I want to tell Friday. Okay, moving on,
- 15:42Speaker 2: all right, we'll actually do some news. All right.
- 15:44Speaker 3: So, the entirety of the United States is upset about
- 15:48Speaker 3: the further drive up of the price of gas, and
- 15:51Speaker 3: California says hold my beer, so Brett. The international oil
- 15:57Speaker 3: benchmark rose nearly eight percent, more than one hundred and
- 16:01Speaker 3: nine bucks per barrel for the year. The price at
- 16:04Speaker 3: the price has been hovering, it's surged nearly by eighty percent,
- 16:09Speaker 3: so Trump said on Wednesday that the war would end
- 16:15Speaker 3: shortly or soon and that that would change. But the
- 16:20Speaker 3: reality is, if you're in California, shut up about the gas.
- 16:23Speaker 2: It's always been expensive. It's more, yeah, but not like this,
- 16:26Speaker 2: not like for the first time.
- 16:28Speaker 1: Last night I was talking to Linz and we were
- 16:31Speaker 1: having a discussion about her driving someplace, or most of
- 16:34Speaker 1: us driving, and I said, let's take my car.
- 16:37Speaker 2: Gas is so expensive. I have never do you need
- 16:39Speaker 2: a couple bucks?
- 16:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I do, but I've never done that. Now I'm
- 16:42Speaker 1: telling reading that now, it's going to change my life.
- 16:45Speaker 1: It is not.
- 16:45Speaker 2: There are people.
- 16:46Speaker 1: There are people that their lives are changed because people
- 16:49Speaker 1: that live paycheck to paycheck where it does hit but
- 16:53Speaker 1: and it doesn't hit me, it doesn't hit you.
- 16:56Speaker 2: It's no.
- 16:57Speaker 3: But we're about a buck and a half to two
- 16:59Speaker 3: bucks over any other state.
- 17:01Speaker 1: Yeah, but if you add another dog, if you add
- 17:04Speaker 1: another dollar, if you add another dollar and a half
- 17:07Speaker 1: of which we are normally above an other state, we
- 17:11Speaker 1: are in the middle of the six dollars per gallon
- 17:15Speaker 1: range now And that is getting pricey, that is, and
- 17:19Speaker 1: it's hitting people. And that's the first time, and it's
- 17:21Speaker 1: going to keep on going by the first time.
- 17:24Speaker 2: I'm sorry. You're right.
- 17:25Speaker 1: They happened twenty twenty two where it was that bad,
- 17:28Speaker 1: but it was a very short lived. This one, I
- 17:31Speaker 1: think is going to be much more long term. That's
- 17:34Speaker 1: my take on it. Okay, moving on.
- 17:37Speaker 4: Speaking of coyotes, A wily little coyotes up to no good.
- 17:41Speaker 4: In Carson, a three year old was bitten twice by
- 17:45Speaker 4: a coding coyote this week. Apparently the family was getting
- 17:50Speaker 4: out of a vehicle, the child was there, and the
- 17:54Speaker 4: coyote came up and bit it twice.
- 17:58Speaker 2: The child is okay, but.
- 17:59Speaker 4: Then they did some DNA testing and said, hey, that's
- 18:02Speaker 4: the same coyote that bit a kid last August and
- 18:05Speaker 4: did a lot more damage. He had to have twenty stitches.
- 18:07Speaker 4: So now they're going to go look for him, not
- 18:10Speaker 4: the kid.
- 18:10Speaker 2: Coyotes.
- 18:11Speaker 1: How do they know which coyote is which because there's
- 18:13Speaker 1: like a lot, there are a lot of coyotes.
- 18:16Speaker 2: They run in packs and they howl a lot.
- 18:18Speaker 4: Well, I would imagine that they when somebody gets bitten,
- 18:23Speaker 4: they get DNA evidence from the coyote.
- 18:26Speaker 1: No, I understand, But coyotes, for example, they're not registered
- 18:29Speaker 1: with ancestry and me or twenty three in ancestry or
- 18:32Speaker 1: whatever they call it. I just want to know, you know,
- 18:35Speaker 1: there's hundreds of coyotes out there.
- 18:40Speaker 2: All right. Well, I'm just moving on. Just a question,
- 18:43Speaker 2: all right.
- 18:43Speaker 3: So we heard Tiger Woods crashed again, this time in
- 18:49Speaker 3: his suv. Rolled a heat rolls cars like nobody's business,
- 18:53Speaker 3: but talk about a flex. So he gets the cops
- 18:57Speaker 3: show up and he's on his phone and he says, uh,
- 19:01Speaker 3: I thank you very much, and he hangs up and
- 19:04Speaker 3: then looks at the deputies and says, I was just
- 19:06Speaker 3: talking to the president.
- 19:09Speaker 2: So yes, he was President Trump.
- 19:13Speaker 3: Well, I guess Trump's former daughter in law, Vanessa Trump
- 19:18Speaker 3: is dating Woods. And Woods and Trump have known each
- 19:22Speaker 3: other for a long time.
- 19:23Speaker 2: And I didn't know that. Well, they know I didn't
- 19:26Speaker 2: know they were dating. Huh huh. You and I keep
- 19:30Speaker 2: our love secret.
- 19:32Speaker 3: So Trump was asked about Woods and told reporters that
- 19:37Speaker 3: he feels badly. He's got some difficulty. Very close friend
- 19:41Speaker 3: of mine. He's an amazing person, amazing man, but some difficulty.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Time to comply. A federal judges order the University of
- 19:52Speaker 4: Pennsylvania to comply with a subpoena from the Trump administration
- 19:56Speaker 4: that is looking into alleged harassment of Jewish employees. The
- 20:01Speaker 4: subpoena was issued in June of twenty twenty five. They
- 20:04Speaker 4: want to gather evidence and identify potential victims of alleged
- 20:09Speaker 4: attacks of or acts rather of anti Semitism following the
- 20:13Speaker 4: October twenty twenty three Hamas attack on Israel. So the
- 20:16Speaker 4: university then said, can you revoke or modify that subpoena?
- 20:20Speaker 4: And they agency said no, we can't, And then the
- 20:24Speaker 4: university filed emotion challenging the subpoena, and then that district
- 20:29Speaker 4: judge just said, now you got to do it.
- 20:31Speaker 2: Yeah, you know.
- 20:32Speaker 1: My question is, first of all, how do they know
- 20:34Speaker 1: who's Jewish and who isn't. Now it's easy if someone
- 20:37Speaker 1: is a member of a Jewish fraternity, they have those,
- 20:41Speaker 1: But what is it oi epso and whatever the name
- 20:46Speaker 1: of the fraternity.
- 20:46Speaker 2: But other than that, you know, no one knows.
- 20:50Speaker 1: No one knew what I was Jewish when I was
- 20:53Speaker 1: in college or I was at college. And unless you
- 20:57Speaker 1: stated so, I don't quite understand what they're doing with this.
- 21:03Speaker 2: Okay, that's my question.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Wow, tiny fragments of there's so many, so many jokes
- 21:13Speaker 3: tiny fragments of plastic been found in nearly every organ
- 21:18Speaker 3: of the body, including the brain and lungs, and for
- 21:21Speaker 3: the first time, the Environmental Protection Agency is adding microplastics
- 21:25Speaker 3: to the list of drinking water contaminates contaminants.
- 21:29Speaker 2: So basically they get.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Together, the EPA gets together about every five years or so,
- 21:35Speaker 3: and they released a draft of you know, these concerns
- 21:39Speaker 3: the contaminants in water, and this one finally made it
- 21:42Speaker 3: yesterday into it forever chemicals, the pfas and.
- 21:47Speaker 2: These types of things that have been in there before.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Now this is showing up. So another thing too for you.
- 21:55Speaker 2: But it's there. I mean, it's there in everything.
- 21:58Speaker 1: There isn't a fish in this world, good cat, even
- 22:01Speaker 1: in Antarctica that doesn't have some kind of plastic or mercury.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Oh nos, lucky.
- 22:06Speaker 3: They're still too big to fit in his body, so
- 22:09Speaker 3: those microplastics don't because he's just a we we fella, tiny,
- 22:14Speaker 3: tiny little human being, just a spec speck.
- 22:20Speaker 4: Okay, we told you about this when it first happened
- 22:25Speaker 4: a while ago. A girl in Resita died after being
- 22:29Speaker 4: hit in the head with a metal water bottle. It
- 22:33Speaker 4: happened during an alleged bullying at Recipa Charter High School. Well,
- 22:38Speaker 4: now an arrest has been made, so the twelve year
- 22:41Speaker 4: old girl died and a minor has been arrested. They
- 22:46Speaker 4: haven't released the age or gender of the person arrested,
- 22:51Speaker 4: but it's on suspicion of murder of little Kimberly Chaquipa.
- 22:55Speaker 4: According to a department spokesperson.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Recipa Charter School, I went to Birmingham and Reseda was
- 23:04Speaker 1: an arch enemy of ours and went to football and
- 23:08Speaker 1: I got football games. And when I was in marching
- 23:11Speaker 1: band if you remember, I don't remember, but because I
- 23:13Speaker 1: was stonn pretty much of the time.
- 23:15Speaker 3: But there's Resida, okay, only one in marching band that
- 23:20Speaker 3: the marching band said, oh, don't put a don't put
- 23:22Speaker 3: him in here. He's going to make us look like geeks.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Well I'm one of the few that was asked not
- 23:27Speaker 1: to play because I was so bad.
- 23:30Speaker 2: And that is the truth. There were I think three
- 23:32Speaker 2: or four of this.
- 23:33Speaker 1: They need that the marching band was sparse in terms
- 23:36Speaker 1: of numbers. We needed more bodies, and so I played
- 23:40Speaker 1: so badly that the band teacher said, we still want
- 23:43Speaker 1: you here. Just walk around and do your stuff.
- 23:46Speaker 2: What did you play the baritone horn.
- 23:50Speaker 1: I started with trumpet. I couldn't do that one switched
- 23:53Speaker 1: over to baritone horn. The only thing that's really neat
- 23:55Speaker 1: about the baritone horn is the mouthpiece. I've shared this before.
- 24:00Speaker 1: The mouthpiece of the baritone horn is perfect. If you
- 24:04Speaker 1: take a surgical tube and you put it at the
- 24:07Speaker 1: bottom of the mouthpiece, and you put a screen just
- 24:11Speaker 1: where the lips go, and it was perfect for smoking pot.
- 24:14Speaker 1: It was just and that's what we would do. It
- 24:17Speaker 1: was just phenomenal. When we used to get dressed for
- 24:20Speaker 1: marching band would be a room where all of us
- 24:22Speaker 1: get dressed, boys, girls didn't matter. Everybody's in their underwear,
- 24:26Speaker 1: running around, everybody stoned, everybody's smoking a joint. And so
- 24:31Speaker 1: when we got out there, man, it was a joy
- 24:34Speaker 1: to see us at work.
- 24:36Speaker 2: I would actually.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Play the baritone horn without a mouthpiece, and people were wondering,
- 24:41Speaker 1: how do.
- 24:41Speaker 2: You do that?
- 24:44Speaker 1: Because it was in the other room. I kept it
- 24:47Speaker 1: in the locker room so I could use it as
- 24:49Speaker 1: a bond. Okay, there you go.
- 24:52Speaker 2: Very serious news story.
- 24:54Speaker 1: A whole story I shared with you. I think Amy
- 24:57Speaker 1: started that. I think Amy started that. Okay, we'll take
- 25:01Speaker 1: a break, come back telling.
- 25:02Speaker 3: Us the stories of something horrible it was. That's you
- 25:06Speaker 3: tell us about your spitting and your smoking and your.
- 25:12Speaker 2: All right, yeah, okay, it's a Friday.
- 25:15Speaker 1: That's why we're doing this, you know that, not that
- 25:17Speaker 1: we don't do it during the rest of the week,
- 25:18Speaker 1: but just we just do more of it on Friday.
- 25:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 25:21Speaker 3: So back in March, the La Metro had some issues,
- 25:26Speaker 3: so they proactively limited employee access to many of their
- 25:30Speaker 3: you know, administrative, their internal computer systems because their security
- 25:35Speaker 3: team discovered some unauthorized activity. Well it turns out, yeah,
- 25:40Speaker 3: they were hacked. Their team security team detected it. And
- 25:45Speaker 3: you know that's a massive, a massive machine that you know,
- 25:51Speaker 3: to controls those Metro and the everything, all of the trains.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I think we're gonna have to I think we're gonna
- 25:57Speaker 1: have to start doing these news stories.
- 26:00Speaker 2: These are the companies that have not been hacked yesterday. Yeah,
- 26:04Speaker 2: it's just they've gotten that bad.
- 26:06Speaker 4: Yeah, more kids are living on the streets, this is disturbing.
- 26:14Speaker 4: The number of students experiencing homelessness in La County rose
- 26:19Speaker 4: by twenty eight percent.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Yeah, that's a tough one. Yeah.
- 26:23Speaker 4: So and that started out listened to the forty seven,
- 26:26Speaker 4: six hundred and eighty nine kids in twenty twenty two
- 26:29Speaker 4: and twenty three, and by the next year it was
- 26:32Speaker 4: up to sixty two and forty nine.
- 26:35Speaker 1: I'm doing that story coming up at seven twenty and
- 26:39Speaker 1: it is disturbing. It is tough knowing kids are are homeless.
- 26:45Speaker 1: So it's a tough place to be poor this country.
- 26:48Speaker 1: I mean, it's just not that's that complicated. You do
- 26:51Speaker 1: not want to be poor in the United States.
- 26:55Speaker 2: Oh, another hack FBI, this time China hacked.
- 27:03Speaker 3: So the FBI labeled this what they suspected Chinese cyber
- 27:06Speaker 3: intrusion into government surveillance, which is bad all the way around.
- 27:12Speaker 2: They referred to this as a major incident, which does
- 27:15Speaker 2: not sound good.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Either poses a risk to US national security of course,
- 27:20Speaker 3: so they're looking into this that hacked compromised sensitive information.
- 27:25Speaker 3: This has to do with domestic law enforcement and things
- 27:28Speaker 3: like that.
- 27:29Speaker 2: I don't know if it's information about domestic law enforcement
- 27:32Speaker 2: like names, addresses, ranks, that type thing. But this was
- 27:38Speaker 2: recently told to lawmakers from the FBI.
- 27:42Speaker 1: How do you defend and I'm talking about any of
- 27:47Speaker 1: our computer systems, how do you defend against a government
- 27:51Speaker 1: China and North Korea that as a governmental entity has
- 27:57Speaker 1: entire divisions.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Military division is dedicated just to hacking.
- 28:02Speaker 1: Our uh are are what uh you know, not only
- 28:08Speaker 1: the military anything, Yeah, not only the military, but also
- 28:11Speaker 1: our our you know, civilian infrastructure.
- 28:13Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where I was going to go with this.
- 28:15Speaker 2: How do you think it's a war? I don't understand.
- 28:17Speaker 2: That's pretty close.
- 28:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know how we possibly can conceive of
- 28:22Speaker 1: the difficulty of that. You know, dude, you look at
- 28:24Speaker 1: did you see the story of There's a building in
- 28:26Speaker 1: Beijing and it's like a five story or a seven
- 28:30Speaker 1: story building.
- 28:30Speaker 2: It's a big building, and.
- 28:32Speaker 1: It's filled with hundreds of Chinese employees, and I think
- 28:36Speaker 1: they are army members who do nothing but hacked the
- 28:40Speaker 1: United States.
- 28:41Speaker 3: If you can't bomb infrastructure, if it is against the
- 28:45Speaker 3: Geneva Convention to bomb you know, uh, water systems, electrical systems, stuff,
- 28:52Speaker 3: how can how can this be legal?
- 28:55Speaker 2: Oh, it's not legal, but it's just done.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Of course, it's not legal, especially if you're hacking sensitive
- 29:01Speaker 1: classified information, which they do. I mean, are they particularly
- 29:05Speaker 1: interested in how many chilapas we order when we go
- 29:08Speaker 1: to Maybe they are, By the.
- 29:10Speaker 2: Way, that's not a thing. There's not a chilapa. Yes
- 29:14Speaker 2: there is. It's a chiloopa. Yeah that too.
- 29:16Speaker 4: Okay, moving on, Oh, Bill's favorite story.
- 29:20Speaker 2: We got toilet trouble fixed. So what in the heck
- 29:24Speaker 2: was it?
- 29:24Speaker 4: NASA did confirm that the Artemis two crew had a
- 29:29Speaker 4: brief malfunction with the toilet system on the Orion spacecraft,
- 29:34Speaker 4: but the crew was able to resolve it by troubleshooting
- 29:38Speaker 4: with Houston's mission control.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Oh, I got I wonder if there is Tom Hak's
- 29:43Speaker 3: going to be in that movie too.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Yeah, so I think we have a problem.
- 29:47Speaker 4: That was one of the greatest scenes in movies.
- 29:49Speaker 2: I love it.
- 29:49Speaker 1: And they described they described the toilet a privacy stall.
- 29:53Speaker 2: And this is the part I knew you were gonna love.
- 29:56Speaker 1: Yeah, an ergonomic toilet seat. I guess custom made for
- 29:59Speaker 1: everyon what he's asked? Ys do they is it interchangeable?
- 30:02Speaker 1: I don't know. It's a titanium vacuum based toilet. It's
- 30:08Speaker 1: like those toilets that you see on airplanes. You know,
- 30:11Speaker 1: the vacuum, you know, you press the button and just
- 30:13Speaker 1: the vacuum.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Oh no, this is different, this vacuum.
- 30:15Speaker 1: I think it's such an entire ass off your body.
- 30:19Speaker 2: Yes, it's very powerful stuff.
- 30:22Speaker 3: At the Science Museum, I think they have one. Hey,
- 30:24Speaker 3: how about this, you want a t rex leather handbag?
- 30:29Speaker 3: Well they I was like, what the So it's a
- 30:32Speaker 3: one of a kind handbag made from lab grown to
- 30:36Speaker 3: Ronosaurus rex leather. It's on display at the Art Zoo
- 30:40Speaker 3: Museum in Amsterdam and they're going to auction.
- 30:43Speaker 1: It off a starting bid six hundred and sixty three
- 30:47Speaker 1: thousand dollars.
- 30:48Speaker 2: But here I have a question.
- 30:50Speaker 1: So you buy the first one out and it's one
- 30:53Speaker 1: of a kind in the world, and then you find
- 30:56Speaker 1: them at target two years from now at nineteen ninety five.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Oh, you have the first one. Yeah, okay, isn't that
- 31:06Speaker 2: worth it?
- 31:06Speaker 1: That's like Tom Brady's last touchdown pass until he came
- 31:11Speaker 1: back the next year.
- 31:13Speaker 2: Yeah. Boy, that was worth five hundred thousand dollars, wasn't it.
- 31:16Speaker 2: So it's lab grown t rex. Yeah.
- 31:19Speaker 4: I would be more worried that we'd have a real
- 31:22Speaker 4: life Jurassic Park event here and this thing comes to
- 31:24Speaker 4: life and eats you.
- 31:26Speaker 2: I'll do it. I want to be eaten. I want
- 31:28Speaker 2: to be the first guy, the first first guy killed
- 31:32Speaker 2: by a t reck.
- 31:32Speaker 3: First Mexican eaten, because that's how we do it. Now,
- 31:35Speaker 3: eaten by a t rex that came back to life.
- 31:38Speaker 3: This is a great joke coming out of this, but
- 31:40Speaker 3: we don't have time, so I'm not going to do it.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Okay. I just wanted to share with you which one
- 31:46Speaker 2: the last story? Yeah, I know, the one with the
- 31:49Speaker 2: Tyrannosaurus rex. The go ahead? What kind of scatological key?
- 31:55Speaker 1: Not particularly scatological, Okay, I'll tell you. And this revolves
- 31:59Speaker 1: around a suitcase. You got two moils. We're walking down
- 32:04Speaker 1: the street and they talk to each other and they go,
- 32:07Speaker 1: what do you do with the foreskins? You know, I mean,
- 32:10Speaker 1: what do you do with them?
- 32:11Speaker 4: You know?
- 32:11Speaker 2: You gotta do something?
- 32:13Speaker 1: And so one ole says, the other shows him a
- 32:16Speaker 1: wallet with all these little pieces of leather sewing together. Goes,
- 32:20Speaker 1: that's the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. Why in
- 32:23Speaker 1: God's name would you have that? He goes, well, first
- 32:25Speaker 1: of all, it's a great wallet, but if you rub it,
- 32:27Speaker 1: it turns into a suitcase. Okay, all right, we're done.
- 32:35Speaker 1: It's Friday.
- 32:37Speaker 2: Done.
- 32:37Speaker 5: We were done before you started coming up.
- 32:41Speaker 1: Pam Bondy fired completely as attorney general will get into
- 32:45Speaker 1: that story.
- 32:45Speaker 2: Kfi A M six. You've been listening to the Bill
- 32:50Speaker 2: Handle Show.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Catch My Show Monday through Friday, six am to nine am,
- 32:54Speaker 1: and anytime on demand on the iHeartRadio app
