- 0:26Speaker 1: It is time believe your worries outside you come laugh
- 0:31Speaker 1: with us inside the treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:36Speaker 1: Trade Trendholm and Raj Sharma on a Tuesday, October twenty second,
- 0:41Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. Happy Tuesday to you and say to
- 0:46Speaker 1: you and to you, I would like to start today
- 0:52Speaker 1: with something my wife sent me. And because my wife's
- 1:00Speaker 1: me this thing, I'm not sure what to think about it,
- 1:03Speaker 1: but I do know there's a lot to unpack. There's
- 1:06Speaker 1: a lot to unload with the thing that my wife
- 1:10Speaker 1: sent to me. One is the item itself? And two
- 1:18Speaker 1: what does it mean? What is she trying to tell me?
- 1:22Speaker 1: The item in question is known as the crap strap.
- 1:28Speaker 1: This is an invention that came through on my wife's
- 1:32Speaker 1: Instagram feed that she then shared with me. And just
- 1:37Speaker 1: so you get an idea of not only what exactly
- 1:40Speaker 1: it is, but what it looks like, I'm going to
- 1:42Speaker 1: show you now Raj and Trey. The crap strap is
- 1:48Speaker 1: for the outdoorsman in your life. It is basically a
- 1:52Speaker 1: harness that attaches to a tree or a solid object.
- 1:58Speaker 1: You wrap the strap around the tree and then it's
- 2:01Speaker 1: got sort of a backrest, you know, what This looks
- 2:05Speaker 1: kind of like a sling shot without the stick, except
- 2:09Speaker 1: I guess the stick is the person. So you've got
- 2:12Speaker 1: a strap that loops around a tree, and you've got
- 2:15Speaker 1: a padded backrest that you lean up against on your
- 2:20Speaker 1: lower back, and then you squat and do your business
- 2:23Speaker 1: in the woods. Crap strap looks like something completely made up,
- 2:30Speaker 1: a tree pooping strap to help you pooh in nature
- 2:35Speaker 1: hands free. And someone went to the trouble of putting
- 2:41Speaker 1: a mannequin in some camo and strap the crap strap
- 2:47Speaker 1: to the mannequin and has it mimicking going number two
- 2:51Speaker 1: in the woods using the crap strap.
- 2:54Speaker 2: See, And I have to say, I I'm impressed that
- 2:57Speaker 2: they took the time to get a mannequin and that.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Yeah. I had to look and make sure it was
- 3:03Speaker 3: a mannequin. I was like, that is a really unhealthy dude.
- 3:08Speaker 1: I think he's done. Someone needs to unstrap him. Yeah,
- 3:12Speaker 1: he's sick.
- 3:13Speaker 3: He needs to hospital.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So that's what happened to Powder.
- 3:20Speaker 1: He's really following on some hard times. He goes, oh, yeah,
- 3:27Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 3:28Speaker 3: But why why not just lean up against the tree.
- 3:31Speaker 1: This is meant to uh make it to where you
- 3:34Speaker 1: don't have to lean up against a rough tree. This
- 3:37Speaker 1: is supposed to be more comfortable because not only is
- 3:40Speaker 1: this just some random you know internet mean this, this
- 3:49Speaker 1: is a real product, the crap Strap, so real in
- 3:53Speaker 1: fact that as I did some googling, I found that
- 3:58Speaker 1: you can actually buy the crap strap on Amazon. So
- 4:03Speaker 1: you need to be careful because there are imitators. But
- 4:06Speaker 1: on Amazon the crap strap, which ideally you should spell
- 4:10Speaker 1: it krapp and then the strap st r ap. According
- 4:16Speaker 1: to its Amazon post, the ultimate outdoor comfort, hands free,
- 4:21Speaker 1: portable toilet solution, durable and versatile, perfect for camping, hiking, travel, fishing, hunting,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and more. Made in the USA or sixty nine ninety nine. Wow, Okay,
- 4:36Speaker 1: the crap Strap is the ultimate outdoor comfort. Transform your
- 4:40Speaker 1: business into leisure with the crap Strap. The pinnacle of
- 4:44Speaker 1: outdoor bathroom solutions. Its unrivaled comfort and convenience are truly
- 4:49Speaker 1: a game changer. Hands free relaxation featuring an extra large
- 4:53Speaker 1: padded backrest, securely lean back and relax while taking care
- 4:57Speaker 1: of nature's call. Enjoy hands free bathroom break like never before.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Instant accessibility. Our ingeniously designed pockets keep toilet paper and
- 5:07Speaker 1: necessities within reach. Yes, there are pockets on this thing.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Oh yeah, why wouldn't there be? Oh and you can
- 5:13Speaker 3: trailer hitch.
- 5:15Speaker 1: So yeah. So it's not just something that you can
- 5:18Speaker 1: attach to a tree, it's any solid objects. So if
- 5:22Speaker 1: you don't have a tree around, but you do have
- 5:24Speaker 1: a trailer hitch you want to tie your crap strap to,
- 5:27Speaker 1: you can do that. I think you just want to
- 5:29Speaker 1: make sure that your buddies don't decide to play the
- 5:31Speaker 1: stop start game with you attached to it.
- 5:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that was that was my thought, like I would
- 5:40Speaker 3: just take off.
- 5:44Speaker 1: This also has superior strength, crafted from high quality NYHLD.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Our tree strap confidently supports up to four hundred pounds
- 5:53Speaker 1: depend on its robust construction for unparalleled reliability and peace
- 5:57Speaker 1: of mind. Now, like anything on Amazon, there's something you
- 6:01Speaker 1: need to keep in mind. You need to make sure
- 6:03Speaker 1: that you are ordering the real deal and not a
- 6:07Speaker 1: cheap imitation from China, because I've seen, I've gone down
- 6:12Speaker 1: that hole and there are some cheap, cheap imitators.
- 6:15Speaker 3: Of the crap strap.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Of the crap strap, you need to make sure you
- 6:18Speaker 1: get the real one that is made and distributed by
- 6:24Speaker 1: air Boss Motion Decoys. Now, the other reason why I
- 6:28Speaker 1: know about this is because they were on Shark Tank.
- 6:35Speaker 1: And not only were they on Shark Tank, the guys
- 6:38Speaker 1: who created the crap strap.
- 6:42Speaker 3: They got a deal, did they really?
- 6:45Speaker 1: They absolutely did. They went on They went on Shark Tank.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I think it was twenty twenty three, so like a
- 6:50Speaker 1: year or so ago, and they were pitching a ten
- 6:55Speaker 1: stake in crap Strap for sixty five thousand dollars.
- 7:00Speaker 3: Wow.
- 7:01Speaker 1: So imagine in all the years that Shark Tank has
- 7:06Speaker 1: been on, imagine all the people that have gone on
- 7:09Speaker 1: Shark Tank and got a no from any from everybody.
- 7:13Speaker 3: Yeah, like the guy who invented the ring doorbell, he
- 7:16Speaker 3: was told no.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Yeah. But the makers of the crap strap they got
- 7:20Speaker 1: a deal.
- 7:21Speaker 3: Which Shark Which shark gave him the deal? Do you know?
- 7:24Speaker 1: It was Lori Griner of course? And and I forget
- 7:33Speaker 1: his name, Damon John, Damon John Ah Okay, Lori Griner
- 7:41Speaker 1: who invested in the Squatty Potty on the show in
- 7:44Speaker 1: twenty fourteen, and Damon John, who said he was the
- 7:47Speaker 1: only outdoors person here when they were being pitched the product. Together,
- 7:52Speaker 1: the two investors offered a total of sixty five thousand
- 7:55Speaker 1: dollars for thirty five percent of the crap Strap. The
- 8:00Speaker 1: creator of the crap Strap is eighty two year old
- 8:05Speaker 1: Keith Lindsey and then also his partner mister Leg and
- 8:12Speaker 1: Leg yeah that's his last name. Yeah yeah, And so
- 8:18Speaker 1: they actually countered that offer with twenty five percent. Grinder
- 8:24Speaker 1: responded with thirty three point three, and the crap Strap
- 8:26Speaker 1: Duo accepted. Of course there's two of them.
- 8:29Speaker 3: M hm. That's what I want to be known as
- 8:32Speaker 3: the crap Strap Duo. That's a that's something you want
- 8:36Speaker 3: to grow up to be.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Well. I believe part of their slogan is the number
- 8:41Speaker 1: one accessory, the number one accessory for doing number two.
- 8:47Speaker 2: Wow door so catchy it is.
- 8:49Speaker 1: It's catchy.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, and you and you are camping, camping fella,
- 8:54Speaker 3: you do the you and the lady go to the
- 8:57Speaker 3: outdoors we do now.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Typically in the camping that we've done, it was more
- 9:02Speaker 1: of the glamping style, like the tint camping. When we
- 9:05Speaker 1: did that, the places we went had bathrooms and things,
- 9:08Speaker 1: so we never needed the crap strap, gotcha. And then
- 9:13Speaker 1: when we eventually went from tent into r V, the
- 9:16Speaker 1: RVs that we had had a had you know, those
- 9:18Speaker 1: has so gotcha, So we we didn't ourselves have a
- 9:21Speaker 1: need for a crap strap. But I will say it's
- 9:23Speaker 1: probably not a bad thing to keeping your emergency kit
- 9:27Speaker 1: in the car just in case, in case you break
- 9:32Speaker 1: down and you really got to go number two and
- 9:34Speaker 1: there's nowhere to go. I'm just trying to think of
- 9:38Speaker 1: situations where you might need a crap strap, mainly because
- 9:41Speaker 1: I know your birthday's coming up, Raj, and by coming up,
- 9:44Speaker 1: I mean today, And I know you've always said how
- 9:48Speaker 1: I'd never get you anything for your birthday, So this
- 9:51Speaker 1: is immediately shot to the top of the list.
- 9:53Speaker 3: No, And this is the point where I'm like, I
- 9:54Speaker 3: wish you wouldn't get me anything because I have I don't,
- 9:59Speaker 3: I don't doors, I don't, I don't do that. That's
- 10:03Speaker 3: a that's not a that's not a brown people think
- 10:05Speaker 3: we don't.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Well, I understand that, but I'm just saying that's why
- 10:08Speaker 1: I'm saying this could be part of your emergency prepared
- 10:10Speaker 1: in this kit. If something happens to where you need
- 10:13Speaker 1: you need to go and you don't have a you
- 10:15Speaker 1: don't have a spot, you could strap the crap strap
- 10:18Speaker 1: to something and and then now you've got a place
- 10:21Speaker 1: to go.
- 10:21Speaker 3: I would I would have nowhere. I don't have a
- 10:24Speaker 3: hitch on on the car to I. I don't know
- 10:30Speaker 3: if if I will be near a tree in this
- 10:33Speaker 3: in this emergency, So I would just I would just
- 10:35Speaker 3: squat like they do in Asia. I would just squat
- 10:39Speaker 3: on my own. I wouldn't. I would not need the strap.
- 10:43Speaker 3: I would not be I would not need the crap strap.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I wouldn't. There's no that situation in my mind where
- 10:48Speaker 3: I'm like, hey, hand me the crap strap like that
- 10:51Speaker 3: that those words will never come out of my mouth.
- 10:55Speaker 1: One of these days you're gonna be dangling off a
- 10:58Speaker 1: cliff and you're gonna wish you had a crapst.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Trust me, if I'm dangling off a clip, I've already
- 11:03Speaker 3: cried myself. Don't worry about it.
- 11:10Speaker 4: In the visit us online freehouseonair dot com.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Eight three three Cook DFW. That's the phone number you
- 11:24Speaker 1: need to use to contact Daniel Cook from Cook DFW
- 11:28Speaker 1: Roofing and Restoration for that free roof inspection. Daniel, I
- 11:31Speaker 1: know that people are looking around their property and thinking,
- 11:35Speaker 1: is there anything I need to do? Anything I need
- 11:37Speaker 1: to catch up on Now that I'm not melting in
- 11:39Speaker 1: the summer heat. And also kind of going and coinciding
- 11:43Speaker 1: with people re upping their insurance. Now's a great time
- 11:47Speaker 1: to catch up on those things and have you come
- 11:48Speaker 1: out and take a look, right.
- 11:50Speaker 5: Dan, I know a lot of people I've been talking
- 11:52Speaker 5: to lately are thinking of renewing their insurance with different companies.
- 11:57Speaker 5: They've been searching rates. Everybody is concerned with the insurance
- 12:00Speaker 5: costs going up, right fully, Soul, I mean everybody's rates
- 12:03Speaker 5: are going up twenty and twenty five percent, forty percent,
- 12:06Speaker 5: I've heard. The one thing I always caution our clients
- 12:09Speaker 5: with and people I talk to is please please please
- 12:12Speaker 5: make sure you have us come out check your property,
- 12:16Speaker 5: make sure you do not have any hidden damage or
- 12:18Speaker 5: if you might qualify for a roof replacement before you
- 12:22Speaker 5: switch policies. If you switch policies with a different carrier
- 12:27Speaker 5: and you then have a problem down the road in
- 12:29Speaker 5: four or five six months after having them, and if
- 12:32Speaker 5: you have not had a weather event while having their coverage,
- 12:36Speaker 5: they will not cover your old damage. And then what
- 12:39Speaker 5: happens you have to go back to the company that
- 12:41Speaker 5: you canceled and say hey, uh sorry. By the way,
- 12:44Speaker 5: I know I canceled you about four or five months ago,
- 12:47Speaker 5: but I got damage when I had you as my carrier,
- 12:50Speaker 5: and my current insurance company is telling me I have
- 12:52Speaker 5: to call you for that.
- 12:54Speaker 3: Well.
- 12:54Speaker 5: I don't know about you, but that could be a
- 12:57Speaker 5: slippery road and I wouldn't want to go down that path.
- 13:00Speaker 5: So do yourself a favor. Have us come out check
- 13:03Speaker 5: your roof, check your property, especially if you're gonna be
- 13:06Speaker 5: switching carriers, or it's even just as important before you
- 13:09Speaker 5: renew your policy because more than likely your deductible and
- 13:13Speaker 5: your premium are gonna go up and your dwelling cost,
- 13:16Speaker 5: and that's gonna offset a lot of the stuff that
- 13:18Speaker 5: you could be saving money on if you have us
- 13:20Speaker 5: come out now.
- 13:22Speaker 1: So do that. Give Daniel Cook a call and let
- 13:25Speaker 1: them come help you to take care of that roof.
- 13:28Speaker 1: It is extremely important. Eight three three Cook DFW eight
- 13:32Speaker 1: three three Cook DFW or once again that website cookdfw
- 13:35Speaker 1: dot com.
- 13:42Speaker 4: You're in the treehouse, listen to us online at Treehouse
- 13:46Speaker 4: on air dot com.
- 13:49Speaker 1: That first segment is brought to you by fair Lease.
- 13:52Speaker 1: To get your new vehicle to save time and money,
- 13:56Speaker 1: get it from Fairlease. Fairlease dot org is the website
- 14:00Speaker 1: site Lease the No Hassleway from fair LEAs in the
- 14:03Speaker 1: Treehouse is driven five days a week. Bye fair LEAs.
- 14:07Speaker 1: The website again is fairlease dot org. All right, now
- 14:12Speaker 1: that I've told you about the crap strap in semi
- 14:16Speaker 1: unrelated yet also maybe kind of sort of related news.
- 14:22Speaker 1: You guys remember Green Day's debut album Dookie. I remember
- 14:27Speaker 1: when that album came out. I thought, I'm surprised that
- 14:30Speaker 1: they were able to release an album named Dookie. By
- 14:34Speaker 1: today's standards, it could could be I don't know, face
- 14:40Speaker 1: pimple ass and in the face. But and it would
- 14:47Speaker 1: probably be fine for everyone. Target may not carry it,
- 14:50Speaker 1: but they probably still you know, you know, put it through.
- 14:55Speaker 1: But it is the thirtieth anniversary of the US All
- 15:00Speaker 1: Feel Old, the thirtieth anniversary of Green Day's phenomenal album Dookie,
- 15:05Speaker 1: and they're celebrating with a re release. So get all
- 15:10Speaker 1: your number two and pooh and relief puns ready to roll.
- 15:16Speaker 1: But the way they're doing this re release is pretty fantastic.
- 15:20Speaker 1: Green Day is celebrating the thirtieth anniversary of their album
- 15:23Speaker 1: Dukie by re releasing the songs on outdated technology Okay,
- 15:32Speaker 1: super outdated technology. We're not talking about just on a record.
- 15:36Speaker 2: Okay, Okay.
- 15:38Speaker 1: They took this to a whole new level, and I
- 15:40Speaker 1: give them a huge amount of credit for it. Not
- 15:43Speaker 1: only are they re releasing the album Duky on outdated technology,
- 15:47Speaker 1: but they're calling it d mastered versions of each song,
- 15:51Speaker 1: So each song individually from the album is being re
- 15:55Speaker 1: released on its own specific antiquated piece of technol all right,
- 16:01Speaker 1: So I'm gonna give you the entire song breakdown and
- 16:05Speaker 1: the piece of technology that's outdated that they're releasing it on.
- 16:08Speaker 2: You ready.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Burnout is on a player piano roll. Okay, Yeah, having
- 16:18Speaker 1: a blast the song having a blast on a floppy disc,
- 16:26Speaker 1: that's great. Yeah, the song chump Is is on a
- 16:30Speaker 1: teddy rousman?
- 16:34Speaker 3: All right?
- 16:34Speaker 1: Who had it? Who had a teddy rouxban? I did?
- 16:38Speaker 1: I think you guys might have been too old for
- 16:39Speaker 1: the teddy rouxsman.
- 16:41Speaker 3: No, I just know. I just didn't have one, But
- 16:45Speaker 3: it's adorable that you did. Danny had. Danny had a
- 16:48Speaker 3: big pencil and a teddy I did.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I had a big pencil with my name on it,
- 16:52Speaker 1: so it would be confused with anybody else's normal sized
- 16:54Speaker 1: pencils and uh and I had a Teddy Ruxman who
- 16:57Speaker 1: who is a very good friend of mine. The reason
- 17:01Speaker 1: why I figured you guys would be too old for
- 17:03Speaker 1: it because I figured, I think when Teddy Ruxsman came out,
- 17:05Speaker 1: I was still single digits, and I think you guys
- 17:08Speaker 1: would have been like around ten or so, maybe eleven,
- 17:11Speaker 1: So I kind of figure you guys would have been
- 17:12Speaker 1: too old for when the Teddy Rucksman.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Had Yeah, I think that one passed me by.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Yeah, Longview. The song Longview was on a doorbell. Okay, yeah,
- 17:25Speaker 1: let me go back to my list here. Welcome to
- 17:27Speaker 1: Paradise is on a game Boy cartrye that's hilarious. Pulling
- 17:34Speaker 1: Teeth is on a toothbrush basket Case is on a
- 17:38Speaker 1: big mouth billy bass. This may be one of the
- 17:44Speaker 1: great examples of great marketing that that I've ever heard,
- 17:47Speaker 1: because it's one thing just to re release an album,
- 17:50Speaker 1: and usually when entertainment entities re release things on anniversaries,
- 17:57Speaker 1: still do some sort of special packaging. You know, you
- 18:02Speaker 1: might find some new features like on a like in
- 18:04Speaker 1: a movie or something, a new behind the scenes something,
- 18:07Speaker 1: or special collector's edition box, something with different art whatever.
- 18:12Speaker 1: Green Day has truly taking this to a whole new level.
- 18:16Speaker 1: The song She is on a hit clip.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I don't know what that is.
- 18:20Speaker 1: I didn't know what a hit clip was either, and
- 18:22Speaker 1: I thought I knew all these things. It looks sort
- 18:25Speaker 1: of like a two way walkie talkie radio.
- 18:29Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 18:29Speaker 1: It was a digital audio player created by Tiger Electronics
- 18:33Speaker 1: that plays low fidelity mono one minute clips of usually
- 18:37Speaker 1: teen pop hits from exchangeable cartridges.
- 18:41Speaker 3: Interesting, Okay, so that's.
- 18:44Speaker 1: How that's how deep the re release of Dookie goes.
- 18:50Speaker 3: Yeah, what is it?
- 18:51Speaker 2: Trey no eight track?
- 18:53Speaker 3: That's what I was about to say.
- 18:55Speaker 1: Sassafras Roots. The song Sassafrats Roots from the Dukie album
- 19:00Speaker 1: is on an eight track tape. Yeah, when I come around.
- 19:04Speaker 1: One of their biggest hits of all time is on
- 19:06Speaker 1: a super old school wax cylinder.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Where can you play this?
- 19:14Speaker 1: I really don't know. I really don't like some of
- 19:17Speaker 1: the like I'm not even sure where you'd find a
- 19:19Speaker 1: hit clip to play that. That previous song coming Clean
- 19:24Speaker 1: is on an x ray record. Okay, that's one of those.
- 19:30Speaker 1: I didn't know what an x ray record was either.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I remember laser disc, but an X ray record was
- 19:38Speaker 1: also known as music on ribs or. It's also known
- 19:42Speaker 1: as ribs, bones or bone, an improvised gramophone recording made
- 19:47Speaker 1: from X ray films, mostly made through the fifties and sixties.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Ribs or a black market method of smuggling and distributing
- 19:55Speaker 1: music that was banned from broadcast in the Soviet Union Jesus.
- 20:00Speaker 1: Banned artists include uh Pyotr Leshchenko and Alexander Ratinski, and
- 20:08Speaker 1: Western artists such as Elvis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones,
- 20:12Speaker 1: The Beach Boys, Ella Fitzgerald and Chubby Checker.
- 20:15Speaker 3: Yes, because you know how controversial Chubby Checker was back
- 20:19Speaker 3: in the day.
- 20:21Speaker 1: You don't, you don't want him, you know, turning uh,
- 20:25Speaker 1: you know the Soviet Union Blue.
- 20:27Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't, you don't want him. You don't want
- 20:28Speaker 3: him twisting in the.
- 20:29Speaker 1: Ussr uh in the end from the Dukie album is
- 20:37Speaker 1: on mini disc, which Trey and I know all too well.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I remember the mini disc.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't even know if mini disc was something
- 20:45Speaker 1: that was even that widely used for the general public consumer.
- 20:50Speaker 1: We used it in radio way back in the day,
- 20:52Speaker 1: but I don't really remember ever seeing it in anybody's
- 20:55Speaker 1: I don't remember seeing a mini disc player in anybody's
- 20:58Speaker 1: living room ever. We had him at the radio station,
- 21:00Speaker 1: and when we had them at the radio station, they
- 21:02Speaker 1: were like ten, fifteen, twenty years old at that time.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Yeah, I saw mini disc walkman. I saw those as well,
- 21:10Speaker 3: like you can take the little mini disc like they
- 21:13Speaker 3: tried to sell that. There was I think there was
- 21:14Speaker 3: even a commercial for Sony that had like this is
- 21:16Speaker 3: like the latest technology and it doesn't get more advanced
- 21:19Speaker 3: than this, and I'm like that's gonna end soon.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Yeah, and then you blinked and then you're like, I
- 21:23Speaker 1: have a CD.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Yeah, MANI disc was the beta of Beta Max of audio. Yeah.
- 21:29Speaker 3: And do you know what you know what killed Beta Max?
- 21:31Speaker 3: I found this out. I was I was watching like
- 21:33Speaker 3: the eighties or whatever it was on CNN. You know
- 21:36Speaker 3: it killed Beta Max. Porn. Porn was easier to put
- 21:40Speaker 3: on VHS.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Yes, that's actually I'm glad you brought that up, because
- 21:45Speaker 1: porn has been at the forefront of technology its entire time.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Because porn was the reason why, like you just said
- 21:54Speaker 1: that VHS took off and Beta max didn't because porn
- 21:59Speaker 1: did the VHS. It was easy, same same thing happened
- 22:03Speaker 1: with DVDs when it was Blu Ray versus I think
- 22:07Speaker 1: it was HD discs tray, I forget what it was,
- 22:11Speaker 1: and porn went with Blu Ray and so Blu Ray
- 22:13Speaker 1: took off. Well the other one, uh you know, went limp.
- 22:19Speaker 1: So if there's ever two pieces of technology coming out,
- 22:24Speaker 1: whichever one porn goes with is the one that's going
- 22:27Speaker 1: to be the winner. That's the one that's going to
- 22:29Speaker 1: come out on top.
- 22:30Speaker 2: And generally whichever one the media goes with is the
- 22:33Speaker 2: loser because TV Data.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Max, yeah, radio, yeah, yeah, you had all these yet
- 22:40Speaker 1: all these local TV stations, other Beta Max cameras going, well,
- 22:44Speaker 1: what the yeah? Got beat by porn yet again. The
- 22:53Speaker 1: last couple of songs from the Dukie album being re
- 22:56Speaker 1: released on random, outdated technology. F is on a Fisher
- 23:01Speaker 1: Price record, All by Myself is in a music box,
- 23:06Speaker 1: and Amnius Sleepiss is on an outright answering machine. I
- 23:15Speaker 1: don't know if I've ever wanted an album more, but
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm just going to be surrounded by a whole bunch
- 23:22Speaker 1: of pieces of crap that I can't do anything with
- 23:25Speaker 1: but listen to that one song.
- 23:26Speaker 3: So you have to buy each one of these things individually.
- 23:29Speaker 3: Are they putting them in a package?
- 23:32Speaker 2: You know?
- 23:33Speaker 3: I am not sure, okay, because I mean if I
- 23:36Speaker 3: have to go buy one of these, like, I don't
- 23:38Speaker 3: know where you play a wax role. I don't know
- 23:40Speaker 3: where that.
- 23:41Speaker 1: Oh the wax cylinder. Oh, here it is. Here's the answer.
- 23:43Speaker 1: You have to buy the actual physical media the songs
- 23:46Speaker 1: are recorded on, So if you want to hear Chump,
- 23:49Speaker 1: you have to actually buy the Teddy Ruxsman and listen
- 23:52Speaker 1: to the song through it. Each song is only available
- 23:55Speaker 1: in limited quantities and you have to enter a drawing
- 23:58Speaker 1: for the opportunity to purchase them. Teddy Ruxsman, by the way,
- 24:02Speaker 1: is the most expensive item at ninety nine dollars. Some
- 24:06Speaker 1: are as low as nineteen dollars, like the floppy disk
- 24:09Speaker 1: and the eight track. You can enter at dookidmastered dot com,
- 24:15Speaker 1: but you have to do so by Friday.
- 24:19Speaker 3: I didn't think that Teddy Ruck'sman cost ninety nine dollars
- 24:21Speaker 3: when it came out and that was revolutionary.
- 24:24Speaker 1: No, it definitely didn't cost that much when it first
- 24:26Speaker 1: came out. But these are all nostalgic high price items now,
- 24:30Speaker 1: so it's not just the song that you're getting, but
- 24:32Speaker 1: you're getting a piece of nostalgic history that is not
- 24:35Speaker 1: so you know, easy to come by.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that's I'm surprised there wasn't a ferbie. That would
- 24:44Speaker 3: have been a good one if they would have released
- 24:46Speaker 3: one of the songs on a ferbie. I think those
- 24:49Speaker 3: are still I think those are still available in around.
- 24:52Speaker 3: They were supposed to be worth like a billion dollars
- 24:54Speaker 3: one day and now they're worth nothing.
- 24:55Speaker 1: So yeah, the Furbies along with the Beanie Babies.
- 24:59Speaker 3: Those are actually worth a lot of money. That's the crazy,
- 25:01Speaker 3: stupid part. Those some of them are actually worth dumb money.
- 25:06Speaker 3: I don't know who decided this, but yeah.
- 25:08Speaker 1: It's the same. It's the same thought process behind NFTs.
- 25:11Speaker 1: As long as you have enough people that think they're
- 25:14Speaker 1: worth something, then they become worth something.
- 25:17Speaker 2: Well.
- 25:18Speaker 3: I wonder how Diddy's gonna get all of his albums
- 25:19Speaker 3: on baby oil.
- 25:24Speaker 1: That's gonna be hard to play, It's gonna be slippery you.
- 25:29Speaker 6: This is online at Treehouse on air dot com.
- 25:41Speaker 1: Let's get Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now
- 25:44Speaker 1: for any and all of you are plumbing once and

- 25:47Speaker 1: eight thirty eight thirty eight the website Brooks Plumbing Texas
- 25:50Speaker 1: dot com. I know that there are some obvious signs
- 25:53Speaker 1: of a water leak Jacqueline, but are there some more
- 25:55Speaker 1: subtle signs that someone needs to pay attention to in
- 25:58Speaker 1: their home? Okay, this is a game.
- 26:01Speaker 7: Mold in a closet or a room you haven't been
- 26:03Speaker 7: in recently. Hot floors if it's not a hot floor.
- 26:08Speaker 7: If you have a pet, that's like suddenly very obsessed
- 26:11Speaker 7: with laying in the same spot, because, as you know,
- 26:14Speaker 7: dogs will gravity or cats can gravitate. Mainly, dogs are
- 26:17Speaker 7: gonna gravitate it to either hot or cold spots because
- 26:20Speaker 7: they're like, ooh, this is nice. So if you've got
- 26:22Speaker 7: a cold water slab leak in the summer, your dog
- 26:25Speaker 7: might gravitate to laying on that area because the floor
- 26:27Speaker 7: is gonna be cooler than it is. Also, our same
- 26:29Speaker 7: thing with the hot spots. Cats all typically all of
- 26:31Speaker 7: a sudden becomes super obsessed with certain spots on the
- 26:34Speaker 7: floor because it's warmer there and cats love a good
- 26:37Speaker 7: cozy spot.
- 26:38Speaker 5: Dripping.
- 26:38Speaker 7: If you have a two story house and you see
- 26:40Speaker 7: any dripping, that's always.
- 26:42Speaker 1: A fun one perhaps yes.
- 26:45Speaker 7: While I think we specialize in residential service, where we
- 26:48Speaker 7: really shine is with slab leaks or leak investigations. That's
- 26:54Speaker 7: what I love to do the most, because every every
- 26:56Speaker 7: case is a little bit different.

- 27:40Speaker 1: DFW Roofing and Restoration. Have you ever wanted to stick
- 27:45Speaker 1: it to your old job? I think we all can
- 27:48Speaker 1: say yes, we've we've wanted to do that. Well, one lady,
- 27:53Speaker 1: uh uh thought she was doing that and things have
- 27:58Speaker 1: now kind of turned on her. There's a woman who
- 28:02Speaker 1: was laid off. This is she's from the UK. She
- 28:06Speaker 1: was recently laid off by her employer. Iag that's the
- 28:10Speaker 1: parent company of British Airways. She filed a claim against them,
- 28:14Speaker 1: arguing that they breached an equity law. Okay, but the
- 28:20Speaker 1: thing that started all of this was she sued her
- 28:24Speaker 1: former employer because they didn't send her a farewell card. Wow, okay, yeah,
- 28:36Speaker 1: there is of course a lot more to this story.
- 28:38Speaker 1: An employment tribunal looked into it. Okay, First of all,
- 28:41Speaker 1: you know an a in America when there's an employment tribunal.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Yes, that sounds very British.
- 28:48Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, everything's got to be very formal and unemployment tribunal.
- 28:53Speaker 1: An employment tribunal looked into her situation and discovered that
- 28:57Speaker 1: the company did have a card for her mm hmm,
- 29:02Speaker 1: but since only two or three people were willing to
- 29:05Speaker 1: sign it, they decided not to give it to her. Ah.
- 29:09Speaker 3: Poor girl. She had no friends at work.
- 29:13Speaker 1: No, so she sued her former employer because she didn't
- 29:16Speaker 1: get a fairwell card. But after going through this entire process,
- 29:20Speaker 1: the company said they passed her card around but no
- 29:23Speaker 1: one wanted to sign it. That's so sad, and because
- 29:31Speaker 1: of that, they opted not to give her the card,
- 29:33Speaker 1: figuring that giving her that card would be worse than
- 29:37Speaker 1: not giving her one at all, and I think that
- 29:40Speaker 1: also seems like a very British thing to do. It's sorry,
- 29:44Speaker 1: we've sacked you. Here's a fairwell card.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Like.
- 29:48Speaker 1: I've been laid off a couple of times in my
- 29:50Speaker 1: life and not not once did I get a farewell card,
- 29:53Speaker 1: unless you count the station. Unless you unless you think
- 30:00Speaker 1: a farewell card would be the station you were fired
- 30:02Speaker 1: from changing its format within eighteen months of letting you
- 30:06Speaker 1: go in the first place. That was a decent farewell card,
- 30:08Speaker 1: but I don't think that was necessarily meant to be one.
- 30:11Speaker 1: That's as close as I've gotten to a farewell card.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Honestly, the story it it sounds more Canadian, like a
- 30:18Speaker 2: farewell card getting fired. That seems very Canadian.
- 30:22Speaker 1: You know what, that is very accurate, and you know,
- 30:25Speaker 1: considering how the British started Canada and all that, that
- 30:27Speaker 1: makes sense.
- 30:28Speaker 3: No, if it was Canadian, they just everybody would just
- 30:30Speaker 3: apologize in the card, so you know, so sorry that
- 30:34Speaker 3: we had to lay you off, so everybody would.
- 30:36Speaker 1: Have and in Canada everyone would have actually signed it.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:39Speaker 3: Yeah, in England, nobody cares. That's that's sad, poor poor lady.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah, you might be wondering our farewell cards a big
- 30:51Speaker 1: deal in England. It doesn't sound like it, but it
- 30:56Speaker 1: was a big deal to this lady. In addition to
- 30:58Speaker 1: the farewell card claim, she sued the company, bringing forty
- 31:02Speaker 1: complaints against them for things like sexual harassment, victimization, and
- 31:06Speaker 1: unfair dismissal. And it seems like she had a number
- 31:10Speaker 1: of issues with coworkers, including igniting an argument with one
- 31:13Speaker 1: because they corrected her spelling in another card for a
- 31:17Speaker 1: different colleague. Also, her boss said there was nothing to
- 31:23Speaker 1: her complaints, saying she'd harbored a conspiracy theory mentality and
- 31:27Speaker 1: mistook normal workplace interactions for harassment. In any event, the
- 31:32Speaker 1: judge tossed her case and it was determined that she
- 31:35Speaker 1: was appropriately laid off. Two other workers were also let
- 31:38Speaker 1: go at the same time, and they also found that
- 31:40Speaker 1: her position had become redundant in a company restructure. The
- 31:44Speaker 1: judge also ruled that the acts cited in her claim
- 31:47Speaker 1: either did not happen, or if they did, were innocuous
- 31:50Speaker 1: interactions in the normal course of employment. Would either of
- 31:54Speaker 1: you like to guess the name of the lady who
- 31:57Speaker 1: sued her former employer for not giving her a world card, Karen,
- 32:08Speaker 1: It's good to know that they have them in England
- 32:10Speaker 1: as well.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Yeah, I think that's where they started.
- 32:14Speaker 1: But like most things here in America, we just do
- 32:16Speaker 1: them better.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:19Speaker 2: If I'm an attorney for the other side, though, I
- 32:21Speaker 2: sent her a card with you know she law saying
- 32:23Speaker 2: sorry farewell.
- 32:29Speaker 3: To your case.
- 32:30Speaker 8: Yeah, you're listening to the Treehouse.

- 34:00Speaker 1: You buy Brooks Plumbing for any and all of your
- 34:02Speaker 1: plumbing wants and needs. Called Jacqueline at brook Plumbing today
- 34:06Speaker 1: the number two one four. Oh my god, I just
- 34:09Speaker 1: forgot the number two one four. I had a met
- 34:12Speaker 1: three six eight thirty eight thirty two one four three
- 34:13Speaker 1: six thirty eight thirty eight.
- 34:15Speaker 2: That's right.
- 34:15Speaker 1: Uh, worst case scenario, just go to the website Brooks
- 34:17Speaker 1: Plumbing Texas dot com. That is Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com.
- 34:22Speaker 1: For any and all of your plumbing wants and needs,
- 34:23Speaker 1: call Brooks Plumbing. All right. I saw I saw this
- 34:28Speaker 1: a couple of days ago, and I thought, ooh, I
- 34:30Speaker 1: think that would make for a really good versus on
- 34:33Speaker 1: the show between Raj and Tray. All right, and I
- 34:37Speaker 1: think I'm set. It is time inside the Treehouse for versus.
- 34:45Speaker 1: Although now that I'm thinking about it, that's that music
- 34:48Speaker 1: that we normally do for our games doesn't quite fit.
- 34:51Speaker 1: So I think this would actually be better for today's
- 34:53Speaker 1: Halloween version of verses. I'm going to show you a
- 34:59Speaker 1: photograph and you have to tell me would you rather
- 35:04Speaker 1: go upstairs or downstairs?
- 35:07Speaker 3: Okay? Okay?
- 35:09Speaker 1: In this photograph, upstairs is Michael Myers. Downstairs is Jason Vorhees. Okay,
- 35:25Speaker 1: So you are stuck in a stairwell. You're on the
- 35:28Speaker 1: landing between upstairs and downstairs. Upstairs Michael Myers from the
- 35:36Speaker 1: Halloween film franchise, and downstairs is Jason Vorhees with a
- 35:40Speaker 1: hockey mask and all from the Friday the Thirteenth film franchise.
- 35:44Speaker 3: Gotcha.
- 35:45Speaker 1: So I'm gonna let you guys think about this. If
- 35:47Speaker 1: you are stuck in a dark, creepy stairwell in order
- 35:52Speaker 1: to make any attempt at an escape, which direction are
- 35:57Speaker 1: you going to go up with Mike Myers or down
- 36:02Speaker 1: and try to go through Jason Vorhees from Friday the thirteenth.
- 36:07Speaker 1: It's okay, you can think out loud here. I'd like
- 36:09Speaker 1: to hear your thought process.
- 36:11Speaker 3: I would I would like to go outside.
- 36:13Speaker 1: That is not an option, sir. There are no windows.
- 36:17Speaker 1: There might be a window behind Michael Myers upstairs. Downstairs
- 36:22Speaker 1: where Jason Vorhees is is probably a door. So I
- 36:25Speaker 1: mean either way, you're gonna have to go through one
- 36:27Speaker 1: of them. There is not a window behind you to
- 36:30Speaker 1: either throw yourself out of or slit your own throat with.
- 36:34Speaker 3: Well, then if that's it looks like a window behind
- 36:36Speaker 3: Mike Michael Myers. So if I if I ran up
- 36:38Speaker 3: the stairs fast enough and then pushed him through the
- 36:41Speaker 3: window and he went out mm hm, then then that's
- 36:44Speaker 3: what I would do. And then I would just, I guess,
- 36:48Speaker 3: follow behind him.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Kind of like I forget. I've seen this in the
- 36:52Speaker 1: movies before, where they shove somebody out of a window
- 36:55Speaker 1: from like a third or fourth story, but you ride
- 36:58Speaker 1: them and you land on them so they absorb the
- 37:01Speaker 1: blow and you take less of impact.
- 37:03Speaker 3: Yeah, that's that's what I would do. All right, you
- 37:06Speaker 3: go up the stairs.
- 37:06Speaker 1: You're going up the stairs, Trey. What about you? You're
- 37:08Speaker 1: going upstairs and facing off with Michael Myers. Are you
- 37:11Speaker 1: going downstairs and try to go through? Jason Vorhees, I'm
- 37:15Speaker 1: going downstairs.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I'm gonna have the height advantage and momentimum gravity on
- 37:20Speaker 2: my side of You.
- 37:21Speaker 1: Think you're gonna have the height advantage, Well, if.
- 37:23Speaker 2: I'm coming downstairs, yeah, I'm gonna have I'm gonna be
- 37:26Speaker 2: higher than he is.
- 37:27Speaker 1: Oh, I see you've got the high ground. That actually
- 37:29Speaker 1: makes a lot of sense. I understand that thought process.
- 37:32Speaker 1: I thought you were thinking that. I'm giving you the
- 37:34Speaker 1: option of going upstairs against Michael Myers or downstairs with
- 37:39Speaker 1: Jason Vorhees from the first film when he was just
- 37:42Speaker 1: a little boy. No, no, no, this is from like
- 37:45Speaker 1: Jason Park two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight, No
- 37:48Speaker 1: on up where it's big Jason. So yeah, that makes sense.
- 37:50Speaker 1: You got the high ground. I like that.
- 37:52Speaker 3: But didn't he kill somebody with a spear once? So
- 37:54Speaker 3: like if he like, if you're coming at him, even
- 37:57Speaker 3: if you have the high ground, he could just like
- 37:59Speaker 3: straight up stick a spear in your gut.
- 38:06Speaker 2: And you don't think, Michael Myers.
- 38:07Speaker 3: Could he just carries a.
- 38:09Speaker 1: Knife you just stabbed straight down on you.
- 38:12Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 38:12Speaker 1: I see. This is where I think having an extensive
- 38:16Speaker 1: knowledge of both film franchises might help, because I do
- 38:20Speaker 1: know that in seeing the majority of the Jason Friday
- 38:24Speaker 1: the Thirteenth films, all the different weapons that he's used. Yes,
- 38:27Speaker 1: Michael Myers, like you said, Raj, I don't really recall
- 38:30Speaker 1: him using anything other than say a really big kitchen.
- 38:33Speaker 3: Knife one knife pony. That's what he is, right.
- 38:36Speaker 1: There, one knife pony Jason wore. He's in my mind.
- 38:39Speaker 1: I could remember him using a spear gun. That was
- 38:44Speaker 1: at the beginning of Jason Part eight. By the way
- 38:46Speaker 1: Jason takes Manhattan, obviously a machete was his preferred weapon,
- 38:50Speaker 1: but I've also killed people with his bear. I've also
- 38:53Speaker 1: seen Jason kill people with his bare hands, which I'm
- 38:55Speaker 1: sure Michael Myers is capable of because he's also got
- 38:57Speaker 1: the superhuman strength. Apparently either one of them are very
- 39:00Speaker 1: quick runners.
- 39:02Speaker 3: Yes, I've never seen either of them run, but since.
- 39:06Speaker 1: You're stuck in a stair well, the running thing doesn't
- 39:08Speaker 1: really come into play.
- 39:09Speaker 3: And if he comes straight down with the knife I have.
- 39:11Speaker 3: I've had three self defense classes, so I know how to.
- 39:16Speaker 3: I know you can carry it. I know how to
- 39:18Speaker 3: I know how to block and shove.
- 39:20Speaker 1: I like how when you make the block motion, all
- 39:22Speaker 1: you're doing is the wax off. So I just think
- 39:25Speaker 1: I think your three self defense classes was three episodes
- 39:27Speaker 1: of Cobra Kai.
- 39:29Speaker 3: No, it was just one full version of the first movie,
- 39:34Speaker 3: and I practiced in my living room. And that's how
- 39:38Speaker 3: I will defend from a knife That's what I will do.
- 39:41Speaker 3: I will I will quickly do this, and I will
- 39:43Speaker 3: catch him off guard. He'll be like, oh my god,
- 39:45Speaker 3: he knows how to use the defense mechanism for my knife.
- 39:48Speaker 3: I'm gonna let this man pass.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Gotcha. I think I'm gonna let my ignorant shine. If
- 39:53Speaker 1: this were me, I think I'm gonna try to go
- 39:56Speaker 1: upstairs and take on Michael Myers, partly because I've seen
- 39:59Speaker 1: j Ason. He's killed more people, yes, and then I
- 40:04Speaker 1: have Michael Myers. Like with Jason Voorhis I saw him
- 40:06Speaker 1: also in Jason Takes Manhattan, which is part eight where
- 40:09Speaker 1: he kills somebody with a spear gun. I also saw
- 40:11Speaker 1: him punch your dude's head clean off, which was truly phenomenal.
- 40:15Speaker 1: I've also seen him kill someone in a mattress. He
- 40:18Speaker 1: folded the dude up in a bed. That killed him.
- 40:20Speaker 1: I don't want to die like that. No, there's no
- 40:22Speaker 1: mattress in that stairwell. But still. I also I've seen
- 40:26Speaker 1: Jason Vorhees killed people with other people like there was
- 40:29Speaker 1: there was in Jason when Jason goes to Space.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Yeah, in Jason X.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Granted it was a hologram, but he still he took
- 40:36Speaker 1: one chick that was in a sleeping bag and killed
- 40:38Speaker 1: her by beating another chick in a sleeping bag with her.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, roj you've seen Jason Goes to Space.
- 40:45Speaker 3: No, okay, No, I was making fun of Nan.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I thought you had. I thought finally there was a
- 40:53Speaker 1: movie like where the ven diagram of things I've watched
- 40:56Speaker 1: and things you've watched finally intersected, and I thought I
- 40:59Speaker 1: had a Jason an ex brother.
- 41:02Speaker 3: No, you're the only one that saw that movie. They like,
- 41:05Speaker 3: the cast didn't go to the premiere.
- 41:07Speaker 1: You don't even think the family members of the people
- 41:09Speaker 1: in the movie saw the film.
- 41:11Speaker 3: No, the producers didn't go, like you you were You
- 41:14Speaker 3: were the only person in that movie theater and that
- 41:16Speaker 3: was actually the premiere of the movie. That's that's what
- 41:19Speaker 3: it was. You. Yeah, you you the guy that ran
- 41:25Speaker 3: the dolly. That's uh. And he was just doing that
- 41:29Speaker 3: for the overtime like union they had to go.
- 41:34Speaker 2: Yeah, catering on of the hours.
- 41:39Speaker 1: All right, it's time that you guys start seeing some
- 41:42Speaker 1: movies that I've seen.
- 41:44Speaker 3: No, No, we don't. We don't want to give Hollywood
- 41:46Speaker 3: a fall sense of hope. Like there's more people.
- 41:49Speaker 2: When when? When?
- 41:50Speaker 3: When you purchased your ticket for Jason X somewhere in Hollywood?
- 41:54Speaker 3: Went see one person went and then the other person went?
- 41:59Speaker 3: Was it Dan.

- 42:47Speaker 1: dot com. RAJ, what was that question you asked me
- 42:50Speaker 1: in the break?
- 42:51Speaker 3: It may sound silly, but in the in the Jason
- 42:55Speaker 3: X Jason in Space, how does one Jason Vorhees managed
- 43:02Speaker 3: to get to space?
- 43:04Speaker 1: I'm glad you asked because you've You've done the Hollywood
- 43:08Speaker 1: thing for a while, so you understand pitch meetings and
- 43:14Speaker 1: you know the creative process how something goes from just
- 43:17Speaker 1: an idea to a full blown Hollywood production. You've been
- 43:21Speaker 1: involved in those So in order for Jason Next to
- 43:25Speaker 1: get made, there had to be nine films that preceded it,
- 43:28Speaker 1: which had to do well enough. So that's reason number one. Yeah,
- 43:32Speaker 1: and other movies made enough money, so that afforded the
- 43:37Speaker 1: ability to make a Jason ten. Yes, and so someone thought, okay, well,
- 43:43Speaker 1: we've done just about everything else in the Jason universe.
- 43:48Speaker 1: What we haven't done is sent him to space, right,
- 43:51Speaker 1: So I actually pulled this up just to make sure
- 43:55Speaker 1: I give you a good answer. So, according to IMDb,
- 43:58Speaker 1: Jason Vorhees is in Jason X. Jason Voorhe's is cryogenically
- 44:04Speaker 1: frozen at the beginning of the twenty first century, of course, yes,
- 44:08Speaker 1: and is discovered in the twenty fifth century and taken
- 44:13Speaker 1: to space. He gets stawed and begins stalking and killing
- 44:16Speaker 1: the crew of the spaceship that's transporting him. What that
- 44:19Speaker 1: little piece of synopsis leaves out is is that the
- 44:27Speaker 1: spaceship that brings him aboard, so he gets cryogenically frozen
- 44:32Speaker 1: early in the twentieth century. Twenty first century, which is
- 44:35Speaker 1: the century we're in now. Jason X came out all
- 44:39Speaker 1: the way back in two thousand and one. That's how
- 44:41Speaker 1: old this movie is now, it's twenty three years old. Yeah,
- 44:44Speaker 1: and he gets picked up by the space crew of
- 44:48Speaker 1: high school students. It's basically a school ship traveling around
- 44:54Speaker 1: the galaxy or a hovering above Earth or something like that,
- 44:57Speaker 1: and they bring him on board, and then of course
- 44:59Speaker 1: he thought out and starts killing people in fun and
- 45:01Speaker 1: creative ways.
- 45:02Speaker 2: Now did this, dude, Jason eleven like Jason Versus Predator,
- 45:05Speaker 2: Jason Versus Alien?
- 45:07Speaker 1: Oh my god, I would love to watch those, of course.
- 45:09Speaker 3: You would, Yes, I justy're making they're making it for you.
- 45:13Speaker 3: That's when they're making the movie for you. Dan.
- 45:15Speaker 1: Well, here's the thing. It was right after Jason X
- 45:18Speaker 1: that they actually did. That was right before they did
- 45:23Speaker 1: the Freddy versus Jason crossover.
- 45:26Speaker 3: Oh I didn't know that there was a a Freddy
- 45:29Speaker 3: versus Jason.
- 45:30Speaker 1: Yeah. Fun. It was a little bit of a letdown,
- 45:33Speaker 1: if I'm being honest. I had high I had higher hopes.
- 45:37Speaker 3: So did the box office. So did the makers of
- 45:42Speaker 3: the movie.
- 45:43Speaker 1: Uh well, I don't know. I mean it's it's I
- 45:46Speaker 1: don't know what the budget was and how much they have.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Eleven dollars. It was eleven dollars. Everybody had to bring
- 45:52Speaker 3: their own Freddy had to bring his own sweater like
- 45:55Speaker 3: that's they didn't even have enough for a wardrobe. I
- 46:00Speaker 3: don't even think it was Robert England. I don't even
- 46:01Speaker 3: think it was him in the movie.
- 46:04Speaker 2: Yeah it was.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Oh, it's got to be his cousin, like Peter England,
- 46:07Speaker 3: who was just like a meth head in Hollywood. Yeah, okay, well,
- 46:12Speaker 3: I mean cryogenically frozen goes to space with a bunch
- 46:14Speaker 3: of high school students. Plausible. I can I can see that.
- 46:21Speaker 1: To give you an idea. Okay, so this is Jason X.
- 46:28Speaker 1: The budget was eleven million dollars.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Wow, in.
- 46:35Speaker 1: US and Canada. The North American domestic gross is thirteen
- 46:38Speaker 1: million dollars. Worldwide was seventeen. So then it made money.
- 46:44Speaker 3: It covered the cost of the movie and half the investors,
- 46:48Speaker 3: so half the people lost money.
- 46:53Speaker 1: No, the whole movie made money.
- 46:55Speaker 3: No used that it made worldwide made seventeen million dollars.
- 46:59Speaker 1: Yeah, budget was eleven million dollars and it grossed seventeen.
- 47:03Speaker 2: And that typically didn't cover the marketing and all that
- 47:05Speaker 2: other stuff.
- 47:05Speaker 1: So that's correct, whatever, Jason. The Freddy and Jason film, however,
- 47:12Speaker 1: had a huge budget by comparison with thirty million dollars.
- 47:16Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and that worldwide gross one hundred and sixteen
- 47:21Speaker 1: million dollars.
- 47:22Speaker 3: Oh okay, that one did make money.
- 47:24Speaker 1: Yeah, So so, Trey, I think you're on the right path.
- 47:26Speaker 1: I think Jason versus Predator and Freddy versus Alien, all
- 47:31Speaker 1: these things I think sound great. Let's cross them over,
- 47:33Speaker 1: let's do them all.
- 47:34Speaker 3: I want. I want Jason versus Rocky. I want to
- 47:39Speaker 3: see Stallone versus Jason wohees, like, that's what I want
- 47:43Speaker 3: to I think that'd be that would be an epic film.
- 47:49Speaker 3: I think that would be.
- 47:50Speaker 1: That making fun. But I actually want to see this.
- 47:53Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's exactly that's what I That's what I
- 47:56Speaker 3: want to see. John Claude van Dam versus Freddy.
- 48:00Speaker 2: M m m m.
- 48:02Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 48:03Speaker 1: I want to see Steven Sagal versus the Leprechaun.
- 48:09Speaker 3: I think that's an actual movie.
- 48:17Speaker 4: And I've seen in the Visit us online Treehouse on

- 49:00Speaker 1: to do that. Money's distributed to families of fallen police
- 49:05Speaker 1: officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty in
- 49:08Speaker 1: North Texas. It's been a big day inside the Treehouse.
- 49:14Speaker 1: We learned a lot about a couple of our favorite
- 49:17Speaker 1: horror franchises. And by favorite, I mean I'm the only
- 49:19Speaker 1: one that's seen apparently any of them. When it comes
- 49:22Speaker 1: to Trey and Raj and So, I feel lonely and alone.
- 49:27Speaker 1: And when I'm lonely and alone, there's one place I
- 49:30Speaker 1: turn to feel better, and that is birthdays. Today is Tuesday,
- 49:37Speaker 1: October twenty second, twenty twenty four. Birthdays today little Jonathan
- 49:41Speaker 1: Lipnicki who was the little boy with the blonde hair
- 49:45Speaker 1: and the black glasses and Jerry maguire. Yep, he's thirty
- 49:49Speaker 1: four today.
- 49:50Speaker 3: Wow.
- 49:51Speaker 1: And isn't like a bodybuilder now, I honestly don't know.
- 49:55Speaker 3: I believe he is. I think he's like some like
- 49:58Speaker 3: jacked and like tat it up.
- 49:59Speaker 1: And I would like to in that case, I would
- 50:03Speaker 1: like to see a Jerry maguire too, where they're having
- 50:06Speaker 1: to deal with jacked up neck tattoo. Jonathan Lipnicky other
- 50:13Speaker 1: birthdays today. The youngest Hanson brother, Zach Hanson, is thirty
- 50:17Speaker 1: nine todayne Roseanne's son dj from The Connors and Roseanne
- 50:23Speaker 1: Michael Fishman. He is forty three today. So it's all
- 50:26Speaker 1: these you know, child stars that are now approaching middle age,
- 50:32Speaker 1: making us all feel even older. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, who
- 50:35Speaker 1: plays Mitchell on Modern Family. He's forty nine today. Rapper
- 50:39Speaker 1: slash singer Shaggy is fifty six. Olympic figure skater Brian
- 50:45Speaker 1: Boyitano sixty one. Bob Odin Kirk, who is now best
- 50:49Speaker 1: known as Saul on Breaking Bad and Better Off Saul.
- 50:52Speaker 1: He is sixty two today. I still remember him fondly
- 50:56Speaker 1: for his show with David Cross and on The Mister Show.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Jeff Goldblum, phenomenal actor. He turns seventy two, and last,
- 51:05Speaker 1: but certainly not least, Christopher Lloyd turns eighty six today,
- 51:12Speaker 1: best known as Doc Brown in the Back of the
- 51:14Speaker 1: Future films. He was also Jim Ignatowski on Taxi Uncle
- 51:19Speaker 1: Fester and the Adams fanly movies. I'm sorry, the Adams
- 51:22Speaker 1: family movies. And the Klingon who killed Kirk's son in
- 51:25Speaker 1: Star Trek three, The Search for Spot. Yeah, Christopher Lloyd
- 51:30Speaker 1: is a prolific actor and still I think going kind
- 51:34Speaker 1: of strong. I think I saw him in a commercial
- 51:35Speaker 1: just the other day, although if I'm being honest, I'm
- 51:37Speaker 1: not sure if it was him or like an AI
- 51:39Speaker 1: version of him.
- 51:40Speaker 3: No, I think it was him. I think I saw
- 51:42Speaker 3: the same one. Yeah, he looks good.
- 51:46Speaker 1: I did see there was. Because now you have all
- 51:49Speaker 1: these trailers out that are artificial intelligence trailers, and sometimes
- 51:54Speaker 1: they're very good, and you can't tell if this is
- 51:56Speaker 1: a real movie that it's a trailer for or if
- 51:59Speaker 1: it's just a complete AI bot crap. And I remember
- 52:04Speaker 1: what I saw was for a Back to the Future
- 52:05Speaker 1: five or something, and I think that maybe what I
- 52:10Speaker 1: saw and it had Christopher Lloyd in it, and I
- 52:11Speaker 1: was like, hey, looks pretty good. Then I realized, oh,
- 52:13Speaker 1: this is an AI trailer.
- 52:15Speaker 3: Oh okay, I thought they were actually making another one.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Yeah, Michael J. Fox, really have we seen him lately? No,
- 52:20Speaker 2: he's not making a movie.
- 52:22Speaker 3: No.
- 52:22Speaker 1: Here's the thing. I think you can totally work Michael J.
- 52:24Speaker 1: Fox's Parkinson's into the plot of any Back to the
- 52:28Speaker 1: Future sequel because he has traveled back and forth through
- 52:31Speaker 1: time so many times that he's suffered flux capacitor radiation poisoning,
- 52:36Speaker 1: and that's why he's got the shapes.
- 52:38Speaker 3: There. You go, I like it. This is this is
- 52:41Speaker 3: how these movies get made. This is it is. This
- 52:43Speaker 3: is how Jason and Space happened. That's that was No, no, no.
- 52:46Speaker 1: No, not the same guy. This is my pitch, totally different. However,
- 52:52Speaker 1: in mind, it wouldn't be such a bad thing if
- 52:54Speaker 1: Jason vhes did show up in Jase Marty McFly around.
- 52:58Speaker 3: Yes, Jason verse is Marty. Let's let's make that happen.
- 53:02Speaker 3: That's the saddest.
- 53:03Speaker 1: Imagine the hygiens that could happen on the hoverboard.
- 53:06Speaker 3: I don't think anybody's I don't think Mike's using a hoverboard, buddy,
- 53:10Speaker 3: I think he's gonna be using a hover chair.
- 53:15Speaker 1: Well, I'll tell you what. Biff will be in for
- 53:16Speaker 1: a hell of a surprise.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Yes, I want Biff versus Freddy. That's the that's the movie.
- 53:22Speaker 3: That's the movie. We're all been waiting for He's like,
- 53:26Speaker 3: make like a tree and get out of here and
- 53:28Speaker 3: then just take their knives to the gut. Yeah, I
- 53:32Speaker 3: like it. That's fantastic.
- 53:36Speaker 1: Well, you remember how they did what sounded to be
- 53:38Speaker 1: like a stupid premise Cowboys versus Aliens the movie you
- 53:41Speaker 1: know it was Jon Favreau that did it and Daniel
- 53:44Speaker 1: Craig who was James Bond, And it's a cowboy western thing,
- 53:48Speaker 1: but aliens invade. Right, you could do the same thing.
- 53:51Speaker 1: You take not Biff but mad Dog tanneon from Back
- 53:56Speaker 1: to the Future three against Aliens.
- 54:03Speaker 3: You saw Cowboys versus Aliens, didn't you shut up? Well?
- 54:12Speaker 2: What won't you see?
- 54:16Speaker 1: I'm still finding out.
- 54:19Speaker 2: That's what the list we need. We need the list
- 54:21Speaker 2: of movies.
- 54:22Speaker 3: Dan has said, no, we need say that we need
- 54:25Speaker 3: the one movie you will see. Like, it's not even
- 54:28Speaker 3: a list, it's just an index of one movie and
- 54:31Speaker 3: a footnote to why you won't see it.
- 54:37Speaker 1: I don't need your judgment. Be sure to check out
