- 0:18Speaker 3: Stickos, Welcome to another episode of For the Dads. Will
- 0:25Speaker 3: you ready, brother? It's going to be a good one.
- 0:31Speaker 3: Here we go. P. T. Sikos, What a very special
- 0:36Speaker 3: episode that we have this week for you. If you
- 0:39Speaker 3: are new to For the Dads, this is a show
- 0:44Speaker 3: that is hosted by dads. Four dads. We are not experts.
- 0:49Speaker 3: We sit around, we tell funny stories about fatherhood. Will
- 0:53Speaker 3: Compton is usually my co host this week I really
- 0:59Speaker 3: have three house if you will.
- 1:01Speaker 2: But sitting in Will Compton's seat, we have the one
- 1:05Speaker 2: and the only.
- 1:06Speaker 3: D Captain of the Funkal Squad, Go Big Grid on
- 1:09Speaker 3: the Sticks, terrifying. We have intern Chris. Everybody random applause.
- 1:15Speaker 2: Here we go, Here we go, Here we go.
- 1:17Speaker 4: This is let's go make or Break moment in a
- 1:21Speaker 4: lot of comments asking for Intern Chris. A lot of
- 1:24Speaker 4: comments were saying more Intern Chris in the community there,
- 1:26Speaker 4: which was he's messing up already.
- 1:29Speaker 2: I did.
- 1:30Speaker 5: I did mess up there. I totally didn't press the chef.
- 1:32Speaker 5: Chef was like, we're gonna cut that, chef.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Chef Chef froze a little bit. Chef was like, oh crap,
- 1:42Speaker 2: Chris Attorney has used half his word count already.
- 1:45Speaker 3: This.
- 1:48Speaker 5: I heard my name and it was like it was
- 1:50Speaker 5: like deer in the headlights. But I was like, oh wait,
- 1:53Speaker 5: I'm like here and then my hands went off and
- 1:55Speaker 5: then didn't put him back on the front. But that's like,
- 1:58Speaker 5: but that's what you want. You want to get that
- 2:00Speaker 5: out of the way now.
- 2:01Speaker 3: And there goes the other half of his word.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Cat you did, guys.
- 2:05Speaker 3: This is Intern Chris's third appearance on the show during
- 2:10Speaker 3: his and this is actually the last week of his
- 2:12Speaker 3: internship here at Busting with the Boys. Very sad, which
- 2:15Speaker 3: is very sad, and Chris has done a fabulous job.
- 2:19Speaker 3: He's been a fan favorite. But the one thing that
- 2:22Speaker 3: I've always loved about Intern Chris is he constantly is
- 2:25Speaker 3: always asking about for the dads, can he sit in
- 2:28Speaker 3: on the set. He would like to do the switcher
- 2:30Speaker 3: board for the show, and so, Chris, I'm actually I'm
- 2:33Speaker 3: very happy that you are here. Brother. I love all
- 2:36Speaker 3: the attention to detail that you've done for clips. If
- 2:39Speaker 3: you watch our clips on social media, he's been doing
- 2:42Speaker 3: a lot of those lately.
- 2:44Speaker 2: A lot of the interns have shout out intern Brooks.
- 2:47Speaker 3: He's gonna be bringing a coffee in here later, so
- 2:50Speaker 3: sorry for asking you to get me a coffee, Brooksy
- 2:54Speaker 3: Dirky making graphics for us. I mean, the interns have
- 2:57Speaker 3: been awesome, but yes, we have an intern Chris here.
- 3:00Speaker 3: And then, last but not least, we got Cheffer Rooney
- 3:05Speaker 3: our st Siico in deep seat today.
- 3:09Speaker 6: It feels odd, it feels weird, but it's okay. We'll
- 3:12Speaker 6: just roll with it. It's a good angle, feels even.
- 3:15Speaker 6: Maybe you probably like sitting in a little suit.
- 3:17Speaker 4: I feel like I am giving a newscast in which
- 3:19Speaker 4: I don't know the country i'm reporting to.
- 3:22Speaker 2: That's how this sea kind of feels right now. But
- 3:23Speaker 2: it feels good here. I'm ready for it. Yeah you're
- 3:26Speaker 2: you're in Mexico.
- 3:28Speaker 3: Yeah you don't speak Spanish, not a lick, but you
- 3:31Speaker 3: are very excited to get in front of the Mexican people.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I want them to know that I'm their champion.
- 3:36Speaker 4: I just they need to know I'm not up to date,
- 3:38Speaker 4: but we're gonna get there together.
- 3:40Speaker 3: I'm an American, but I love you guys. I'm here
- 3:43Speaker 3: and I'm willing. We also have a bunch of ride
- 3:47Speaker 3: ins every single week. Our listeners are PT sixers or
- 3:52Speaker 3: our PT siccos are empty sicicos. That's Mama Team six
- 3:55Speaker 3: or Milk Team six. PT six, of course, is Papa
- 3:59Speaker 3: Team six. They write in via YouTube, comments, via dms
- 4:04Speaker 3: on social media platforms like Instagram, Twitter, uh TikTok, and
- 4:10Speaker 3: we also have comments on our Spotify and we will
- 4:14Speaker 3: read those on the show. We have dad hacks, we
- 4:17Speaker 3: have shout outs from spouses about either a shout out
- 4:22Speaker 3: of their kid or their spouse, which we always love
- 4:24Speaker 3: to see. And then we also have an email that's
- 4:28Speaker 3: six to oh onededads at gmail dot com. You can
- 4:31Speaker 3: send in an email if you don't like hearing your
- 4:34Speaker 3: voice on our voicemail that you can call in. Each
- 4:38Speaker 3: week we play voicemails on the show and that phone
- 4:41Speaker 3: number conveniently is six O one.
- 4:43Speaker 2: The dads. It's the same as our Gmail.
- 4:46Speaker 3: So six six to one the dads at gmail dot
- 4:48Speaker 3: com and then six to oh one the dads for
- 4:52Speaker 3: our voicemail. And I love that. I saw on one
- 4:56Speaker 3: of our right ends somebody had dmd us and they said, Hey,
- 5:00Speaker 3: I forgot the email. I don't know what the email is,
- 5:03Speaker 3: so I'm just gonna instead of research it, I'm just
- 5:05Speaker 3: gonna DM you guys, which I appreciate a lot. I also,
- 5:10Speaker 3: to kick off the show, I haven't been doing this
- 5:13Speaker 3: recently and I need to get better at this. Oh
- 5:17Speaker 3: so sorry, Sherman. Why is will Compton not saying maybe
- 5:22Speaker 3: I should talk about that? To kick off the show,
- 5:26Speaker 3: our other host has uh strep to caucus, which is
- 5:31Speaker 3: the Latin term for strep throat, And we have some
- 5:37Speaker 3: parents in here that might be interned. Brooksy with my cafife,
- 5:41Speaker 3: here we go. This is the longest held open door
- 5:43Speaker 3: in the history for the dads, Brooksy.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Is that? How well?
- 5:47Speaker 3: That is a zips cup. Thank you so much, you're
- 5:51Speaker 3: the man. Thank you, Brooksy. It's a huge help. But yes,
- 5:57Speaker 3: William Compton has strep throat and we do have of
- 6:01Speaker 3: some parents here with new babies. I don't know if
- 6:05Speaker 3: we have shouted out Taylor shouted it out on the
- 6:07Speaker 3: bus eisode No no, no, but shout out to Taylor
- 6:11Speaker 3: Luwan who just had his third girl, Miss Goldie. So
- 6:17Speaker 3: shout out Taylor, Shout out Goldie, Shout out Taylor. But
- 6:22Speaker 3: Taylor didn't want to bring that strep throat into the HERB. Sorry,
- 6:25Speaker 3: Will didn't want to bring that strep throat into the office.
- 6:29Speaker 3: They're also traveling. They're doing a training camp tour for busting,
- 6:33Speaker 3: so we all got in a group text. Will sent
- 6:38Speaker 3: this basically not even a book, just a really good
- 6:43Speaker 3: concise breakdown of that.
- 6:45Speaker 1: He was sick.
- 6:46Speaker 2: I think he even.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Said I'm dead. I'm dying. Yeah, he said, I will
- 6:51Speaker 3: not be in for the SOD. So either get Taylor
- 6:54Speaker 3: to fill in, which was an option, but Taylor had
- 6:57Speaker 3: to peace out because they were traveling, or have Sherman
- 7:00Speaker 3: do it solo just to follow up.
- 7:03Speaker 2: You know, I'm here, I'm in his chair to defend Will.
- 7:05Speaker 3: Please.
- 7:06Speaker 4: He said, Will Compton is downgraded to out, but he
- 7:09Speaker 4: would die for the brand.
- 7:11Speaker 2: It warn't the dad, so he's not dying. He would
- 7:13Speaker 2: die for us.
- 7:14Speaker 3: He is out, he is out, and nothing but support
- 7:19Speaker 3: for Will Compton.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I'm gonna do my best. It's a it's a big
- 7:23Speaker 2: shoes to fill.
- 7:25Speaker 3: And Deeke was very kind and said, I don't even
- 7:28Speaker 3: know if this is true, but he's like, hey, a
- 7:30Speaker 3: lot of a lot of people have been asking for
- 7:32Speaker 3: a solo pod.
- 7:33Speaker 4: They've been asking a lot of people. It's funny too.
- 7:35Speaker 4: So like every inch of for the dads for me
- 7:38Speaker 4: is in the community. So if you see us dming
- 7:40Speaker 4: back writing back like I you know, hear these guys
- 7:43Speaker 4: talk and they're passionate, and I just bring that to
- 7:45Speaker 4: the fields a lot of people are talking about and
- 7:48Speaker 4: this is I'm in his chair of defending him. Will
- 7:51Speaker 4: not necessarily letting you finish some of the stories that
- 7:53Speaker 4: people want you to hear, which I don't I don't
- 7:55Speaker 4: agree with. I love Will and I stand for Will,
- 7:57Speaker 4: but people are excited to hear more, sure is what
- 8:00Speaker 4: I'm hearing from. I'm just a mouthpiece for the streets.
- 8:04Speaker 2: Hey, I appreciate that.
- 8:05Speaker 3: And somebody last week tell me that they didn't like
- 8:07Speaker 3: the accents, they didn't like the Jersey accents, they didn't
- 8:12Speaker 3: like the Australian accents.
- 8:14Speaker 2: Get rid of the fucking acts, stop doing the bitch?
- 8:16Speaker 3: Sure, so do you hear that note of Will stepping
- 8:22Speaker 3: over me and not saying this because he's my bosser
- 8:25Speaker 3: signs my checks. I don't feel it in the moment.
- 8:28Speaker 3: So whenever listeners are out there just shaking their fists,
- 8:32Speaker 3: whenever Will gets on the bike when I'm telling his story,
- 8:36Speaker 3: I feel like he adds to the combo.
- 8:38Speaker 2: But we'll see how I do.
- 8:40Speaker 3: On my own.
- 8:40Speaker 4: I went to their channels and I found a couple
- 8:43Speaker 4: IP addresses and sophone numbers. They're all from Iowa, are
- 8:47Speaker 4: the Roaly single parton? Not the docs anyone? Every single
- 8:50Speaker 4: hater is from the state of Iowa.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Thank god I'm not a hawk gy, and thank god
- 8:56Speaker 3: I don't listen to like some show or have some
- 8:58Speaker 3: celebrity that's like a die hard. Like if I just
- 9:02Speaker 3: worshiped Matthew, imagine worshiping Matthew McConaughey, but being an Aggie.
- 9:08Speaker 3: I'm sure for Chris it's probably hard to go watch
- 9:11Speaker 3: a McConaughey flick.
- 9:12Speaker 5: Probably not, it's tough. It's mainly because he's on the field.
- 9:18Speaker 5: If he was just a Texas fan, then that's okay.
- 9:21Speaker 5: But he is on the field. He kind of aggravates
- 9:25Speaker 5: me just by being there.
- 9:26Speaker 4: You know, is your stance that you don't enjoy the
- 9:29Speaker 4: extracurriculars of a teacher and what they get.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Because I think teachers are underpaid.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Chris and Matthew McConaughey teaching at Texas, I think he
- 9:35Speaker 4: should get field passes.
- 9:37Speaker 2: He is a professor for their film program. Yeah.
- 9:39Speaker 3: I think teachers are underpaid. Chris, do you disagree with that?
- 9:42Speaker 3: As someone whose parent is an educator?
- 9:46Speaker 2: I will, Oh, I will defend.
- 9:49Speaker 3: Our education system.
- 9:50Speaker 2: Okay, Matthew McConaughey stays on the field.
- 9:53Speaker 3: That he stays on the field, and it would be
- 9:55Speaker 3: hard to have somebody that cheers for your rival school
- 9:58Speaker 3: that is devilish, devil handsome, very cool, dresses very well. No,
- 10:06Speaker 3: not describing Matthew McConaughey, describing Will Compton. Oh took me
- 10:11Speaker 3: for a loop. I digress, I digress. I do have
- 10:15Speaker 3: some callbacks here. Do you mind, real quick if I
- 10:17Speaker 3: do the shout out we talked about from the Discord?
- 10:19Speaker 3: Oh my god, real quick?
- 10:20Speaker 4: Yes, So in the discord guys, if you want the
- 10:23Speaker 4: Discord link, it's on our Instagram and our highlights we
- 10:25Speaker 4: also try to send it out. A gentleman named t Roseberry.
- 10:28Speaker 4: Trosebury ten shot me a DM. I'm not in there
- 10:31Speaker 4: every second every day. There are people that always are
- 10:34Speaker 4: in there talking. It's a good community. But wanted to
- 10:37Speaker 4: send some thoughts and prayers to Sean C. His name
- 10:39Speaker 4: is Boom SiZ. He is in every level of the discord.
- 10:43Speaker 4: He's been in there. They had some just complications with
- 10:47Speaker 4: the pregnancy. He's been sharing the whole story and the
- 10:48Speaker 4: discord or discord. All the guys are behind them and
- 10:51Speaker 4: with them. It's just a crazy situation. The news I
- 10:54Speaker 4: got this morning from him is that the babies have
- 10:57Speaker 4: arrived and everyone is healthy.
- 10:58Speaker 2: So we are on healthy. The babies are there.
- 11:01Speaker 4: It seems they are in some version of the trenches,
- 11:03Speaker 4: but out of the serious stuff.
- 11:05Speaker 3: We'll keep going there.
- 11:05Speaker 4: But we just want to say, Boom says, we appreciate you,
- 11:08Speaker 4: and we appreciate the discord the guys in there. We
- 11:11Speaker 4: shouted out the Strava group last week. We did, which
- 11:13Speaker 4: now I'm getting unsolicited emails galore about different Strava discussions.
- 11:18Speaker 4: I had to undo because I don't run. But that's sick.
- 11:20Speaker 4: Keep the communities going shout out. Boom says, just want
- 11:23Speaker 4: to say we're thinking of your brother.
- 11:25Speaker 3: Hey, Boom says, we are thinking about you. Way to
- 11:28Speaker 3: hang out in the trenches, and best of luck and
- 11:31Speaker 3: best of health to you, your baby, your fam and
- 11:35Speaker 3: for those at home. I might catch some flak for
- 11:38Speaker 3: saying this, but I just want to cover all the bases.
- 11:41Speaker 3: Discord is an app where you can jump in and
- 11:45Speaker 3: there's communities built in there and for the dads has one.
- 11:49Speaker 3: We have a Discord. We also have a reddit and
- 11:52Speaker 3: again I might catch some flak for this. Hey, what's reddit?
- 11:55Speaker 3: That's a website or app that you can hop on
- 11:58Speaker 3: and there's some communities in there. We have one. We
- 12:01Speaker 3: have a for the dad's reddit page in now. We
- 12:06Speaker 3: also have Strava Sherman what is that? It is a
- 12:09Speaker 3: workout app. If you're a runner, you can track your mileage.
- 12:13Speaker 3: You can DM back and forth with other people in
- 12:15Speaker 3: the groups. Correct, like, there's a lot of yeah, I'll
- 12:18Speaker 3: get so.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:19Speaker 4: There's a whole section of just a general discussion. There's
- 12:22Speaker 4: a golf dad section, chef Nicky, Warriors, questions, sports video games,
- 12:26Speaker 4: and those are in the general. My favorite is Bruce
- 12:29Speaker 4: puwbs and barbecues, which is beer, guns and barbecue, pews pews,
- 12:34Speaker 4: Not sure, man.
- 12:36Speaker 2: I did, I thought, I thought, and I apologie. It's
- 12:38Speaker 2: a family.
- 12:41Speaker 4: Family Bruce, pw pews and barbecues. I sent a family
- 12:48Speaker 4: to Smith and Lentz through there, which was great. The
- 12:51Speaker 4: next one, so they have the PT six. They have
- 12:53Speaker 4: cracked a cold one, Dad hacks, Dad losses, lessons and quotes,
- 12:56Speaker 4: motherfucked empty six of shout outs, PT fix pet fit,
- 12:59Speaker 4: take off the trash and the trenches. And then there's
- 13:01Speaker 4: three areas in there where you can go in and
- 13:03Speaker 4: actually check. So there are actually voice call channels the garage,
- 13:06Speaker 4: the man cave, and the tailgate that we are talking
- 13:09Speaker 4: about how to use. One of them is I don't
- 13:11Speaker 4: know if you remember, guys, but the three of us
- 13:13Speaker 4: signed up for a discord sixteen man dynasty league in
- 13:16Speaker 4: there a couple months ago. We did, and so they
- 13:18Speaker 4: are talking chef about doing the discussion for the draft
- 13:21Speaker 4: in the garage on the discord.
- 13:23Speaker 3: So we will have to talk about a team name
- 13:24Speaker 3: and such. Okay, okay, I like that. I like that
- 13:27Speaker 3: we will have one team. Is that correct? The three
- 13:29Speaker 3: of us have one team Okay, good, good, thank god.
- 13:31Speaker 2: Yeah, I was not doing that. Or we're working on
- 13:33Speaker 2: like a committee vote? Is it a we're three man?
- 13:36Speaker 3: Here?
- 13:36Speaker 2: Is Will included in this?
- 13:38Speaker 4: My gut was telling me that Will is included when
- 13:41Speaker 4: he wants to be. And so the way that we
- 13:42Speaker 4: could do it is we have a head coach and
- 13:44Speaker 4: offensive coordinator, a defensive coordinator, and then Will is just
- 13:49Speaker 4: kind of like the GM that can come in when
- 13:51Speaker 4: he wants to say, Jerry Jones, I was going to say,
- 13:54Speaker 4: see now, old man, and I like that.
- 13:55Speaker 6: You want that chef. He's a cowboy. Well was a
- 13:58Speaker 6: cowboy fan, and it's kind of.
- 14:00Speaker 3: The perfect role for him. Yeah, we're the knuckleheads that
- 14:03Speaker 3: will go in there, and of course we're gonna mess
- 14:06Speaker 3: it up. We're going to do something wrong. We'll catch
- 14:08Speaker 3: a couple of l's in a row. Will's going to
- 14:11Speaker 3: come in say we've been doing it all wrong. I
- 14:14Speaker 3: think the dynamic is there. As far as us as
- 14:17Speaker 3: a team.
- 14:18Speaker 5: Well, well, didn't Will play special teams. Can't he just
- 14:22Speaker 5: be the kicker, like he just picks the kicker. You
- 14:24Speaker 5: know anything about Will? I know a little bit about Will.
- 14:27Speaker 5: He played lineback. He was a linebacker. But he was
- 14:29Speaker 5: also special teams, wasn't he?
- 14:31Speaker 2: He was?
- 14:31Speaker 3: So that was not an attack. That was a genuine
- 14:33Speaker 3: I just know it was a gee. No, I know,
- 14:35Speaker 3: I I know. Okay, look I'm switching it now here
- 14:38Speaker 3: we go then, But yeah, so I know stuff about Will.
- 14:44Speaker 3: He played for the Redskins and the Titans. Yes, he
- 14:47Speaker 3: went to Nebraska.
- 14:48Speaker 2: Yeah, one more, one more, one more black and black
- 14:52Speaker 2: and silver. He didn't play for the Steelers.
- 14:56Speaker 3: They didn't play for the Steelers. They just moved from
- 14:59Speaker 3: the city they were in.
- 15:00Speaker 2: They were in Oakland. But oh he played for the Raiders.
- 15:03Speaker 2: He played for them even.
- 15:08Speaker 3: To the playoffs.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Yeah, they were there.
- 15:10Speaker 3: Uh.
- 15:11Speaker 4: To your point, Will earned his spot in the NFL
- 15:14Speaker 4: through special teams. This is very adamant about that route
- 15:17Speaker 4: for a lot of players and guys. Uh So what
- 15:19Speaker 4: we can do is GM Jerry Jones slash special teams coordinator.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Love that.
- 15:24Speaker 3: I love that. As far as callbacks, we have a
- 15:29Speaker 3: couple right here in front of me, one that I'm
- 15:32Speaker 3: very excited to read because I got completely fucked last week.
- 15:39Speaker 3: I got completely fucked. I didn't go through the comments
- 15:44Speaker 3: this last week like I usually do. I'll go through
- 15:48Speaker 3: at least the YouTube ones, but sometimes the YouTube and
- 15:51Speaker 3: Spotify ones. It was there a lot of talk about
- 15:54Speaker 3: the Gordon van Riemon right in, I got one right.
- 15:58Speaker 6: Here, go ahead, gotcha. Fandal will be refunding everyone that
- 16:04Speaker 6: took Scheram to go through to get through all emails
- 16:06Speaker 6: without messing up plus two twenty due to some shady
- 16:09Speaker 6: behavior behind or by Gordy. What Gordy did against Fandel's
- 16:14Speaker 6: fair play policy. Oh goes against Fandel's fair play first time.
- 16:19Speaker 6: Guess yeah, yeah, you're doing great. We apologize to every
- 16:22Speaker 6: customer that was affected.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Okay, thank you, and thank you Fandel shout out, Thank you,
- 16:26Speaker 3: Fandals shout out.
- 16:27Speaker 4: And there were a lot of comments of Gordy, but
- 16:30Speaker 4: the comments were more that that was the moment people
- 16:33Speaker 4: spit their lollipops out, was when you were trying to
- 16:36Speaker 4: get through that one.
- 16:39Speaker 2: And I have his ride in right here.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Gordy actually wrote in to apology, I'm going to pretend
- 16:43Speaker 3: to be surprised. I prepped that. But what did he said?
- 16:47Speaker 3: He said, you truly are in a test that you
- 16:50Speaker 3: wrote right now, which has gotta be such a weird feeling.
- 16:53Speaker 3: Hey boys, it's Gordy in Atlanta again, Sure, sorry you
- 16:58Speaker 3: got caught in the crossfire and an email that was
- 17:00Speaker 3: aimed squarely at Will. And I wish in the moment
- 17:03Speaker 3: that I had realized that and handed the card. I
- 17:06Speaker 3: wish he would have put that in his OG email.
- 17:08Speaker 3: We do have people that are right, hey, this is
- 17:10Speaker 3: specifically for that person when you said it in and
- 17:13Speaker 3: I make sure to get them. So I wish he
- 17:15Speaker 3: would have said, hey, you know, Derek, if you're seeing this,
- 17:17Speaker 3: it's for Will. But because it is a funny premise,
- 17:21Speaker 3: and I was in an awful attitude last week. I
- 17:24Speaker 3: really was, and I like I held it together for
- 17:28Speaker 3: the show, and I in myself could like send some
- 17:32Speaker 3: awkwardness uh with like timing pacing my energy, and so
- 17:38Speaker 3: I don't think I was like truly all there. And
- 17:41Speaker 3: I really feel like I, oh, Gordon an apology because
- 17:44Speaker 3: I feel like I botched that chance. Instead of being
- 17:48Speaker 3: like what the fuck?
- 17:50Speaker 2: Like what are these this is a crazy big word,
- 17:52Speaker 2: what are we doing right now?
- 17:54Speaker 3: I could have been like, oh shit, this might have
- 17:56Speaker 3: been meant for Will and be like, will do you
- 17:59Speaker 3: mind reading? I got to go to the bathroom and
- 18:01Speaker 3: like be on my toes for the content. Well, what
- 18:04Speaker 3: I mean, how did Gordy feel about it? Well, Gordy said,
- 18:08Speaker 3: hand up that email was one hundred per written by
- 18:12Speaker 3: chat GPT and you got me Walter White mean, thanks
- 18:17Speaker 3: for reading and I believe he's talking about the Walter
- 18:20Speaker 3: White in.
- 18:21Speaker 2: The back of the cop card meme.
- 18:23Speaker 3: Thanks for reading it on the show since I'm here.
- 18:26Speaker 3: One more quick, dad hack AI is a total game changer.
- 18:29Speaker 3: I use it every week to plan out meal preps
- 18:33Speaker 3: and menus so I can knock everything out on Sunday
- 18:35Speaker 3: and have quick, easy, healthy dinners ready for the wife
- 18:39Speaker 3: and toddler after a long day at work. Highly recommend it.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Keep up the great work, love the content, and see
- 18:46Speaker 3: you in Atlanta. Sure pt Siko out if he's an
- 18:51Speaker 3: auburn Tiger.
- 18:52Speaker 4: He h sent a second email follow up that I
- 18:55Speaker 4: realized I forgot too.
- 18:56Speaker 2: Yes, fuck you too, Will hahah.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Gordon gorrd in. Not when he has strepped a caucus,
- 19:07Speaker 3: not when he has stripped.
- 19:09Speaker 2: I think he meant get well soon, will get well.
- 19:12Speaker 3: Soon, Get well soon, Will, And we do.
- 19:14Speaker 2: We dedicate this episode to Will Compton.
- 19:18Speaker 3: We miss him dearly and Will, which I'm sure he
- 19:21Speaker 3: really does listen to all these shows like each week.
- 19:24Speaker 4: When he sent us that text, so we have our
- 19:26Speaker 4: four that Ned's group chat. When he sent us that
- 19:28Speaker 4: text us story, he assumed we were recording, Yeah, because
- 19:30Speaker 4: we were supposed to record yesterday. So if anyone's phone
- 19:33Speaker 4: goes off, he is aware we are going live.
- 19:36Speaker 2: So answer it. Oh, might be Will, who knows good.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Well in that case, if you are also listening, Will
- 19:43Speaker 3: tomorrow picture listen. Yeah, miss you, and thanks for the
- 19:47Speaker 3: texting you send us. I said, you love us, thanks
- 19:49Speaker 3: for sending that, and thank you for having the confidence
- 19:51Speaker 3: in us to drive this ship without you. For this week,
- 19:56Speaker 3: we have Dustin Hawk, who had a follow up he
- 20:00Speaker 3: said sure. July twenty fifth, I had a moment also
- 20:03Speaker 3: with my thirty five week old boy. I took him
- 20:06Speaker 3: fishing in the same place my best friend and I
- 20:09Speaker 3: fish at growing up as kids. And I told my
- 20:11Speaker 3: son as we was walking to a different fishing spot,
- 20:15Speaker 3: I said, son, your uncle Pogy and I fished these
- 20:19Speaker 3: creeks every second we could, every second we could growing up,
- 20:25Speaker 3: and Uncle Pogi be so proud that I took you
- 20:28Speaker 3: here and showed you are special spots. He's looking down
- 20:32Speaker 3: at you, bubb with the biggest smile, and then I
- 20:34Speaker 3: took a moment and looked at him stumbling on the
- 20:38Speaker 3: creek rocks with a pole in his hand, and I
- 20:40Speaker 3: sheded a few happy tears. Dustin, thank you for writing
- 20:45Speaker 3: in that. For anybody that's new to the show, Dustin
- 20:48Speaker 3: is referring to when I brought Scarlet to my favorite
- 20:54Speaker 3: spot when I was growing up, Greaton Beach, which is
- 20:57Speaker 3: where my grandmother lived. Then, last, but not least, on
- 21:02Speaker 3: follow ups for me, if others have followed up, I
- 21:06Speaker 3: got two good ones. Okay, I did well. I did
- 21:09Speaker 3: a bad job of knocking it back and forth with everyone,
- 21:12Speaker 3: and Deeke did a great job prepping with me and
- 21:14Speaker 3: even told me that you guys had follow ups. So
- 21:16Speaker 3: that was that's on me. Shurm's accent, Suirm's accent. We
- 21:23Speaker 3: had somebody right in. They said, hey, stop with the accents.
- 21:27Speaker 3: He probably he probably does sound like that. Uh, they
- 21:30Speaker 3: don't like the Jersey accent. But we had a lot
- 21:33Speaker 3: of love in the comments. We'll go ahead and shout
- 21:35Speaker 3: those guys out. Uh. The no trust on these are
- 21:38Speaker 3: all from YouTube said keep the accent boys. Rob W
- 21:41Speaker 3: seventy eight says, sure them, keep the accents occasionally their
- 21:45Speaker 3: time perfectly and I get a pretty good laugh. Hey boys,
- 21:48Speaker 3: Viti Siico, Ryan Santiago checking in from Vancouver, Canada.
- 21:53Speaker 2: F them keep doing the accents.
- 21:55Speaker 3: I have three kiddos and hearing the community and what
- 21:57Speaker 3: they're going through as humor and he to what we
- 22:01Speaker 3: siccos go through. Keep keeping it real, pet Sicico, Ryan Santiago,
- 22:06Speaker 3: Santiago out. I love the accents from Oh, from Amy Young,
- 22:11Speaker 3: that would be my mind, That would be my mind.
- 22:14Speaker 2: That is incredible.
- 22:16Speaker 3: I can only imagine all the comments that my mom
- 22:19Speaker 3: reads and it's like.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Oh, they're so Maine as charman and willed. They need
- 22:24Speaker 2: to be Swaeter.
- 22:25Speaker 3: And I don't think she knows what a burner is,
- 22:28Speaker 3: so she just made a profile with her name, which
- 22:32Speaker 3: I love.
- 22:33Speaker 2: He should make miss Amy a burner.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, not miss Amy, not miss Amy. Sure,
- 22:40Speaker 3: please keep the accents makes the moment every time, funniest
- 22:43Speaker 3: timing every time.
- 22:44Speaker 2: Golden.
- 22:45Speaker 3: That comes from Rachel Murphy. But here's my favorite one,
- 22:48Speaker 3: and this one actually comes from an Aggie Chris.
- 22:50Speaker 2: This is Jared Aggie Sicko.
- 22:53Speaker 3: He said, I'm assuming Cannon is going to call in
- 22:56Speaker 3: about the accent hater when he does. Please Eric, We're
- 23:01Speaker 3: still that is a gold mine that we're sitting on. Guys,
- 23:04Speaker 3: we have a pet Sico named Cannon that calls in
- 23:07Speaker 3: pretty much weekly by daily. Honestly, there was a hot
- 23:11Speaker 3: streak where he hit a couple days in a row.
- 23:13Speaker 3: We didn't hear about him, like Cavian hadn't called in for.
- 23:16Speaker 2: A little bit. There he to alert the masses.
- 23:19Speaker 4: He did have a very strong opinion about the barista
- 23:22Speaker 4: that told Will that he did.
- 23:23Speaker 2: Not have a job.
- 23:24Speaker 3: So thank you for calling that in. We appreciate the support.
- 23:29Speaker 3: That one will also not be aired. Thank you, Cam
- 23:31Speaker 3: Back to you, Sherman, Thank you Cannon.
- 23:35Speaker 2: We have some other follow ups. Guys. What do we
- 23:38Speaker 2: got from the pet sico community.
- 23:40Speaker 6: Sure you remember that guy last week that dropped a
- 23:43Speaker 6: little voicemail about a certain fish tank.
- 23:45Speaker 2: Oh go, multiple fish tanks? Oh god, many fish tank?
- 23:48Speaker 3: Manny fish tank? Well we got he wrote in. It's
- 23:51Speaker 3: Tyler Gay.
- 23:52Speaker 6: Yeah, made my fucking morning drive into work hearing you
- 23:56Speaker 6: played my voicemail. Great start of the day. Maybe you
- 24:00Speaker 6: have called after a few bruskies. Plus I get nervous
- 24:03Speaker 6: calling into a voicemail. Starstruck or something. Gotta save up
- 24:07Speaker 6: some money to get this monster tank, but I'll send
- 24:09Speaker 6: a follow up pick of the tank in a couple months.
- 24:12Speaker 6: The kids would rather I spend my money on a
- 24:14Speaker 6: fish tank and putting it into a college fund. Anyways,
- 24:18Speaker 6: make you memories, pisho out.
- 24:21Speaker 2: Yes, well done, Tyler, well done. What a legend, dude.
- 24:25Speaker 4: I love when people write in their comments or like
- 24:27Speaker 4: find different ways to communicate, so be like I'm on YouTube,
- 24:31Speaker 4: on Spotify, email, I call and you can see all
- 24:33Speaker 4: of their thing. We have like a carafone coming in
- 24:36Speaker 4: Stephen as a comment later in the show and just
- 24:38Speaker 4: seeing these repeat guys.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Love it?
- 24:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I love it. Yeah.
- 24:42Speaker 4: We got one from Ethan Baird which is titled why
- 24:45Speaker 4: TF do I listen to the show?
- 24:46Speaker 3: Why TF does he listen to the show?
- 24:48Speaker 4: Why tfthan s up Boys, massive fan of the pod,
- 24:52Speaker 4: So right there, I instantly knew it wasn't a bad
- 24:53Speaker 4: thing that he listens listen every week and look forward
- 24:56Speaker 4: to it every week. I'm from just outside of Toronto
- 24:59Speaker 4: and I play call football here in Canada.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Which I didn't know was a thing. Okay, they have
- 25:03Speaker 3: colleges in Canada. I am a twenty one year old
- 25:06Speaker 3: single man who couldn't be farther from having kids or
- 25:08Speaker 3: having a partner. Because of this, I asked myself, why
- 25:12Speaker 3: the fuck do I listen to this pod? Great question,
- 25:15Speaker 3: It just isn't relatable at all, But man, do I
- 25:18Speaker 3: love it. I used to worry about growing up and
- 25:20Speaker 3: turning into an adult, but after listening to the pod,
- 25:22Speaker 3: I look forward to it. Also tell Greg there's nothing
- 25:26Speaker 3: he can do to prevent it. My high school Greg Olsen,
- 25:28Speaker 3: friend of the show. My high school girlfriend's parents were
- 25:31Speaker 3: pretty strict when it came to me coming over, but
- 25:34Speaker 3: it never stopped a thing. Oh God, cheers, boys, love you,
- 25:38Speaker 3: Thank you, Ethan, you Seeman team Sickoh that actually that's
- 25:42Speaker 3: some gober that's some guobiration. But we love that you
- 25:45Speaker 3: listen to the show, Ethan, and I love when I
- 25:49Speaker 3: interact with somebody.
- 25:51Speaker 2: Uh.
- 25:51Speaker 3: To be completely honest, I think it's probably been five
- 25:55Speaker 3: people since the beginning of the show that have introduced
- 25:58Speaker 3: themselves to me in public and said I listened to
- 26:01Speaker 3: the show. Two of those were goom Berets and man
- 26:06Speaker 3: were those some electric dap ups chest bumps. I don't
- 26:10Speaker 3: have a fucking kid, dude, but the show raps. Dude,
- 26:13Speaker 3: lovey dude, I'm all the talk. They start praying with purpose.
- 26:17Speaker 4: Now they start actually getting excited that the ammunition might
- 26:21Speaker 4: have a little.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Mu Yeah, good for them, dude.
- 26:24Speaker 4: Show the show is for everyone, because we even have
- 26:26Speaker 4: a bunch of voicemails from young ladies, single colors, ladies
- 26:30Speaker 4: calling in saying one we had that said the show
- 26:33Speaker 4: reminded her of watching ball with her dad. Another one
- 26:35Speaker 4: was just her saying, this is how I'm going to
- 26:37Speaker 4: pick out who I kind of try to find as
- 26:39Speaker 4: my partner. So you guys aren't just talking to other dads.
- 26:42Speaker 4: You are talking to goombras Semen, Team Sixers and.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Everyone in between. So, dude, that gets me soked, gets
- 26:48Speaker 3: me stokedad he also sits there and goes, oh, dude,
- 26:51Speaker 3: I don't have to figure it out. I don't have
- 26:53Speaker 3: to stop being an idiot. Yeah, I could also be
- 26:55Speaker 3: an idiot and be a dad, which I don't know
- 26:57Speaker 3: if that's the answer, but that's that's what I am
- 27:00Speaker 3: and it's working for now. It's the answer for sure. Yeah.
- 27:04Speaker 3: I mean, you look at the stages of the show.
- 27:05Speaker 3: We even have where Will has his two kids. You
- 27:07Speaker 3: have obviously your beautiful daughter. I'm engaged with a wedding
- 27:10Speaker 3: coming up. Chef is in a very serious relationship.
- 27:13Speaker 4: Chris is Chris, Chris, like, we have a good dynamic
- 27:16Speaker 4: here of the levels of relationships and fatherhood and things
- 27:20Speaker 4: like that that makes us relatable. I still, Chris, just
- 27:22Speaker 4: to be transparent, I fought for a grandpa as an intern.
- 27:25Speaker 4: I fought for that, So technically you want instead of
- 27:28Speaker 4: a grandpa, but I want that still. That would be
- 27:31Speaker 4: awesome that I think we should go for that, just
- 27:35Speaker 4: a grade it would have been instead of you.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Just to be clear, you no, well, okay, grandpa. Next
- 27:44Speaker 3: here you've you've established that you've got the shirm turn.
- 27:47Speaker 3: You got, you got, we got the deep turn, you
- 27:49Speaker 3: got the chef turn. Now you just got to get
- 27:51Speaker 3: the paw turn. I don't know that sounds like a dog.
- 27:55Speaker 3: A very humbling experience was Chris coming up to me
- 28:01Speaker 3: a week ago, uh maybe two weeks ago. Chris, and
- 28:05Speaker 3: he said that there needed to be a shrm turn
- 28:08Speaker 3: just an intern that was assigned to Sherman. And he
- 28:12Speaker 3: said he would love to throw his hat in the
- 28:14Speaker 3: ring for next summer to be a shirm turn.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Chris said that to me, I don't hate the idea.
- 28:21Speaker 4: I think where my brain go is the ability for
- 28:24Speaker 4: Chris to just use those terms there and not describe
- 28:28Speaker 4: them at all, and for you to come in with
- 28:29Speaker 4: the actual definition of a Sherm turn and a deep turn.
- 28:32Speaker 4: I wasn't sure what those were, but now intern got it.
- 28:35Speaker 4: A poster prew me for a loop there, Chris, but
- 28:39Speaker 4: a deep turn, there's your intern.
- 28:41Speaker 3: Yeah, a chef turn that god Leah chef turned would.
- 28:46Speaker 4: Be chef actually should have an intern. He knows skills
- 28:49Speaker 4: that he could teach somebody. Yes, a deep turn. Oh
- 28:53Speaker 4: we played four square. I teach stuff, but like we'd
- 28:56Speaker 4: have fun. We would learn things, but we'd have fun
- 29:00Speaker 4: doing it. Yes, absolutely, a lot of copy pasting. One
- 29:04Speaker 4: last follow up, one last one and the only reason
- 29:06Speaker 4: it's a Pittsburgh one. So I had to come on
- 29:09Speaker 4: Austin Hallie Haley h A L L E Y so
- 29:11Speaker 4: apology if I did there. Heading to OBX from Pittsburgh
- 29:14Speaker 4: in two weeks, I get to drive nine hours with
- 29:16Speaker 4: a twelve month old love hearing the beach hacks, love
- 29:19Speaker 4: the show, and his emoji is the dual lingo owl
- 29:22Speaker 4: with a big butt. So I just wanted to shout
- 29:24Speaker 4: that out.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Oh let's go dude, media. Yeah, and what language are
- 29:28Speaker 3: you learning? Would be my follow up question to him.
- 29:32Speaker 3: Would love to know. Do you have a streak? I
- 29:35Speaker 3: was freshening up on my Spanish right when I moved
- 29:39Speaker 3: here to Nashville. I did four semesters worth of Spanish
- 29:45Speaker 3: at Baylor. Oh, and I am by no means fluent,
- 29:50Speaker 3: but I can read words or hear songs and know
- 29:54Speaker 3: what every other thing is. When I hear Spanish being
- 29:58Speaker 3: spoken out in the public, I am no help. And
- 30:02Speaker 3: so I was like, but you lose it, you lose it.
- 30:06Speaker 3: I studied abroad, I felt kind of comfortable to have conversations,
- 30:10Speaker 3: and you lose it. And so two years ago I sorted, like,
- 30:14Speaker 3: freshening up on it. Yeah, I need to get back
- 30:16Speaker 3: into it is very fun.
- 30:18Speaker 4: Spanish adjacent pod chef grew up speaking Spanish, You at
- 30:22Speaker 4: one point did speak it. I am marrying, I'm about
- 30:25Speaker 4: to become Panamanian in September, so I need to learn it, dude. Yeah,
- 30:30Speaker 4: And so I am learning Spanish, are you really? I mean,
- 30:32Speaker 4: I'm on a ninety seven day streak. I'm do a
- 30:34Speaker 4: lingo and I can order coffee without sugar and milk
- 30:36Speaker 4: because I'm like just talking.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Hey, no legay, no escool charm, let's go big days.
- 30:44Speaker 6: No.
- 30:44Speaker 4: She sent me a TikTok this morning about doing my
- 30:46Speaker 4: vows in Spanish, to which I said, can I read
- 30:49Speaker 4: them then?
- 30:53Speaker 3: So we will see. Hey, you're a good man. You're
- 30:55Speaker 3: a good man, dude. That would be pretty that would
- 30:58Speaker 3: be pretty freaking.
- 30:59Speaker 4: Cool to watch the fodder sister does, so she'll leak
- 31:01Speaker 4: it to her. I'm gonna, I'm gonna, I'm gonna. I'm
- 31:04Speaker 4: not gonna do it.
- 31:05Speaker 2: Ooh, I like that. Hey, you shouldn't do it? Not
- 31:09Speaker 2: doing it? Murray?
- 31:14Speaker 3: Where was I gonna go with the ob X? I'm
- 31:16Speaker 3: so sorry, I'm blinking on OBX?
- 31:18Speaker 2: What sorry? Howder Banks the TV show?
- 31:21Speaker 6: No, he's going, yeah, oh my gosh, he's gonna go
- 31:26Speaker 6: find the treasure.
- 31:28Speaker 2: It's not like there's an actual island or anything. But
- 31:31Speaker 2: what's his name? Bringing on Home? John b?
- 31:33Speaker 3: John Bay?
- 31:34Speaker 2: Bringing on Home John Bay?
- 31:37Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, Well, guys, uh, no other way than
- 31:40Speaker 3: to kick off with the dad loss For those other
- 31:45Speaker 3: new listeners. I have a one year old daughter named Scarlet,
- 31:50Speaker 3: which is crazy to say out loud. She turned wine
- 31:55Speaker 3: on July third. I moved here two years ago for
- 31:58Speaker 3: this job. Mind time family, I've around sixteen first cousins.
- 32:03Speaker 3: My entire family is in fort Worth minus some of
- 32:07Speaker 3: the cousins, and Jill has twenty seven first cousins. Pretty
- 32:12Speaker 3: much every single one of them is in fort Worth
- 32:15Speaker 3: and the aunts and uncles. We are very fort Worth
- 32:18Speaker 3: based and so we did obviously our trip to the
- 32:22Speaker 3: beach with my nuclear family, but Jill wanted to have
- 32:26Speaker 3: a birthday party for baby scar Scar in Fort Worth
- 32:34Speaker 3: with all of our families there. So that was extremely fun.
- 32:40Speaker 3: But you may be asking yourself, Sherman, you're kind of
- 32:42Speaker 3: leave us hanging, because last episode it was like kind
- 32:46Speaker 3: of left up in the air. How did things go?
- 32:50Speaker 3: How did it go with the WiFi? Did you talk
- 32:53Speaker 3: to her? Did you apologize heir? I had exited her
- 32:56Speaker 3: on the episode, and I told you guys on the
- 32:58Speaker 3: episode I had still no reply, and poor Will I
- 33:02Speaker 3: was kind of putting him in a grinder by even
- 33:05Speaker 3: talking about it. You could tell that he was wanting
- 33:08Speaker 3: to stay off the cast because he was like, oh,
- 33:11Speaker 3: I can't tell Sherman feels like he's over sharing, or
- 33:16Speaker 3: if we're over sharing, if we talk about it too much,
- 33:19Speaker 3: and it wasn't that bad not to like minimize it.
- 33:25Speaker 3: I was an absolute jerk to Jill like one, and
- 33:29Speaker 3: I order so many apologies, but it did work out.
- 33:35Speaker 3: I did not sleep on the couch that I slept
- 33:40Speaker 3: in my own bed, and a lot of it came
- 33:44Speaker 3: down to being a good teammate, which I will circle
- 33:49Speaker 3: back at the end of the episode about being a
- 33:52Speaker 3: good teammate to your spouse.
- 33:57Speaker 4: I think the one thing from Will's perspective is you Traditionally,
- 34:00Speaker 4: when you tell stories about you in Jill's situation, you
- 34:04Speaker 4: do have some version of closure. And so to tell
- 34:07Speaker 4: a story of you being in the middle of one,
- 34:08Speaker 4: I'm sure Will was looking at it as a friend
- 34:12Speaker 4: of like, I don't want to make a joke or
- 34:14Speaker 4: make light of this because I don't know how the
- 34:15Speaker 4: story will end, and do you need advice versus because
- 34:17Speaker 4: normally when you tell these stories, you go And then
- 34:20Speaker 4: I was a big idiot, apologized and we were in
- 34:22Speaker 4: bed the next night and it's okay, yeah, And so
- 34:24Speaker 4: I do think there's probably somewhere you were in the
- 34:25Speaker 4: middle of it, because I didn't I don't know if
- 34:27Speaker 4: I felt that from him, but I know lights are
- 34:30Speaker 4: bright on this.
- 34:30Speaker 2: Side of the table. I'll tell you what. That's probably where.
- 34:33Speaker 3: He was at one hundred percent, and I should have
- 34:35Speaker 3: just flat out asked him in the moment, yeah, for advice.
- 34:39Speaker 3: I was thinking about that the next day. I was like,
- 34:41Speaker 3: if there was one thing that I could have done
- 34:43Speaker 3: differently last episode, it would have been to explicitly ask
- 34:48Speaker 3: Will and you guys, hey, I could use a little
- 34:52Speaker 3: help on this one, chef.
- 34:53Speaker 2: What would you have given him as advice that in
- 34:56Speaker 2: that situation?
- 34:57Speaker 3: Yeah, if he last episode when he was talking about
- 34:59Speaker 3: being in the middle it, if he would have asked
- 35:01Speaker 3: for advice, what would you have said.
- 35:04Speaker 6: I'm I'm a big guy on it wouldn't be advice
- 35:07Speaker 6: for the current my current moment, Like in that moment,
- 35:09Speaker 6: sure would be like Hey, as soon as you can
- 35:13Speaker 6: sit down have an honest talk. It's like, hey, you know,
- 35:16Speaker 6: like those combos can always like for me at least,
- 35:20Speaker 6: like I have to almost take a step back and
- 35:22Speaker 6: go all right, let's get to let's get the mindset
- 35:24Speaker 6: of we're gonna look for a solution, We're gonna look
- 35:26Speaker 6: for a middle ground, we're gonna We're gonna, at least
- 35:29Speaker 6: for me, I'm like, I'm gonna air out what I
- 35:31Speaker 6: felt like I did wrong. And that's how I feel
- 35:35Speaker 6: good after something like that, like closure wise, like I
- 35:37Speaker 6: feel like, okay, I learned from this, got a little better.
- 35:40Speaker 6: My original advice would be don't let it maybe, and
- 35:44Speaker 6: this is how I am. I'm like, I always am
- 35:46Speaker 6: big on I rather even if it is like a
- 35:49Speaker 6: little bit of an argument, Let's figure it out in
- 35:51Speaker 6: the moment. Let's let's just talk it out. Let's not
- 35:54Speaker 6: We're not gonna go sleep on this. Let's just figure
- 35:56Speaker 6: it out at least too. We're at a base understanding.
- 35:58Speaker 6: We could still be upset. It's very okay to be
- 36:01Speaker 6: upset and those kind of things. It's just going to happen.
- 36:05Speaker 6: But that's my big thing is like I always try
- 36:07Speaker 6: to like, all right, we're clearly mad at each other.
- 36:09Speaker 6: Let's figure this out right now, Let's talk it out.
- 36:12Speaker 6: We don't have to come to a big hunky doory conclusion,
- 36:16Speaker 6: but or like a wrap it up with a bow.
- 36:18Speaker 2: I guess yes, that's kind of where I go.
- 36:21Speaker 3: There is something really nice about one. I love your
- 36:26Speaker 3: perspective on him. Thank you for the advice. Two to
- 36:30Speaker 3: echo you completely of the way that I like to
- 36:34Speaker 3: do things as well, is I like to figure it
- 36:37Speaker 3: out in the moment. I know that sometimes situations do
- 36:41Speaker 3: need some time to breathe, But at that point, there
- 36:46Speaker 3: had been enough breathing as far as like a full
- 36:51Speaker 3: day had passed. And now I'm coming home and Jille
- 36:55Speaker 3: and I obviously if we were to argue, we do
- 36:57Speaker 3: not like doing that in.
- 36:59Speaker 2: Front of Scarlet.
- 37:01Speaker 3: So it's almost like you have this nice little built
- 37:04Speaker 3: in time to kind of self reflect as you're, like,
- 37:08Speaker 3: you know, interacting with your wife and your child, and
- 37:11Speaker 3: you're doing dinner, and you might not be talking to
- 37:14Speaker 3: your wife a whole lot in the moment, but everyone's smiling,
- 37:18Speaker 3: everyone's talking with Scarlet feeding her, We're having some fun
- 37:22Speaker 3: laughs here and there. But you know, in the back
- 37:24Speaker 3: of your head, as soon as she is down in
- 37:27Speaker 3: the crib and she is night night and nighttime routine
- 37:30Speaker 3: is over, it is now time for mom and dad
- 37:33Speaker 3: to have their discussion. But it is kind of nice
- 37:38Speaker 3: to have like that little buffer of shit. I know
- 37:42Speaker 3: that this conversation is bound to happen, it needs to happen.
- 37:46Speaker 3: And I know when it's gonna happen and just mentally
- 37:49Speaker 3: prepare for it.
- 37:51Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:51Speaker 6: Yeah, And that's also just how I'm a very like
- 37:54Speaker 6: if I if it goes and I already know what
- 37:57Speaker 6: the conversation we're going to have is in my mind,
- 38:00Speaker 6: I get stressed out where I'm like, if I have
- 38:02Speaker 6: all day to think about it, it's like I just
- 38:05Speaker 6: I already know what I want to say. I already know,
- 38:07Speaker 6: like I want to if I feel like I did
- 38:09Speaker 6: something wrong, I know I want to go and be like, hey,
- 38:11Speaker 6: I've screwed up here and just having to sit on it,
- 38:14Speaker 6: which sometimes that's probably what I need. It's probably what
- 38:17Speaker 6: it needed between me and Alex, my wonderful girlfriend. Shout
- 38:21Speaker 6: out if you're listening, shout out. But it just it's
- 38:23Speaker 6: like I am such a like I don't know, like
- 38:27Speaker 6: I can't I can't sleep on it. Like I'm very
- 38:29Speaker 6: mad about that kind of stuff. It's something I'm trying
- 38:31Speaker 6: to improve. I'm not let things not go, but just go.
- 38:33Speaker 2: You can't.
- 38:35Speaker 6: You need to like compartmentalize for a little bit and
- 38:38Speaker 6: just you're gonna return to the combo.
- 38:39Speaker 2: It's gonna be okay.
- 38:40Speaker 3: It's gonna be okay, and I know what you mean.
- 38:43Speaker 2: And I was in that. Yeah, literally in the middle
- 38:46Speaker 2: of it. I confided to a twenty one year old intern, Dylan.
- 38:51Speaker 3: Durkin clip want and crazy clip wait crazy, a shout
- 38:54Speaker 3: out Derko's fam and friends. Dude, Yes, anybody commented, thank
- 38:58Speaker 3: you for letting me borrow your lamb boak.
- 38:59Speaker 2: It doesn't have a driver Jurky does not have a
- 39:03Speaker 2: driver's license.
- 39:04Speaker 3: He has a state ID, and yes he lets somebody
- 39:09Speaker 3: borrow his lambeau.
- 39:10Speaker 2: Such a nice kin, which is very kind of jerky.
- 39:14Speaker 3: But I literally confided in a twenty one year old
- 39:18Speaker 3: intern about how I was a jerk to my wife,
- 39:22Speaker 3: and then I proceeded to then go on a podcast
- 39:26Speaker 3: and share that I was a jerk to my wife.
- 39:28Speaker 2: And the only like.
- 39:32Speaker 3: Extra thing that I would say on that to the
- 39:34Speaker 3: masses is because my dad was like having a conversation
- 39:41Speaker 3: with me, and he didn't for a second like say, hey,
- 39:45Speaker 3: don't air out your dirty laundry on the internet or whatever,
- 39:50Speaker 3: which I always like look to protect Jill or like,
- 39:54Speaker 3: you know, keep like some distance between the internet and
- 39:57Speaker 3: our fam and really just like I'm a co host
- 40:01Speaker 3: on this show, Jill and Scarlett, aren't they, And so
- 40:04Speaker 3: I need to do like the best job I can
- 40:06Speaker 3: of coming onto the show and representing myself. But I also,
- 40:12Speaker 3: I think I've said this a ton of times on
- 40:14Speaker 3: the show. I really I never want to come on
- 40:17Speaker 3: this show and just be like, dude, I have it
- 40:21Speaker 3: all figured out. I'm the man. My wife is never upset,
- 40:25Speaker 3: she is so spoiled. I get her gifts all the time.
- 40:29Speaker 3: I'm never late to anything. I always know the right
- 40:32Speaker 3: thing to say. I'm really smart, really charismatic and funny
- 40:35Speaker 3: and great to be around all the time. And I'm
- 40:38Speaker 3: like the perfect guy because I feel not that I
- 40:42Speaker 3: don't have like good self worth or value of myself,
- 40:46Speaker 3: but I feel very much down here and realize that
- 40:50Speaker 3: I am imperfect and I'm not some like stud and
- 40:55Speaker 3: I want the audience to know that, like there would
- 40:57Speaker 3: be no authenticity if I just aim on here and
- 41:01Speaker 3: like faked it all the time. And so I just
- 41:04Speaker 3: want to also say Pet Sikos, thank you for being
- 41:07Speaker 3: there and listening to me. Rant and I have a
- 41:09Speaker 3: really bad attitude last week.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I think the beautiful thing about that whole thing
- 41:14Speaker 4: is that no one, uh no one here expects you
- 41:17Speaker 4: to apologize for it, which is good. But if you
- 41:19Speaker 4: look at the kind of fabric of the show that
- 41:22Speaker 4: you guys have started and made, yeah, you're not experts,
- 41:24Speaker 4: but it's also not a show where like we're just
- 41:26Speaker 4: gonna come here and complain about shit and like, you know, yeah,
- 41:29Speaker 4: you got to get shit off your chest. But nobody's
- 41:31Speaker 4: coming to the show to also complain about their lives.
- 41:33Speaker 4: We're coming to the show to say, I messed up.
- 41:35Speaker 4: You guys are here to hold me accountable. Let's all
- 41:37Speaker 4: get better together. And so as long as you guys
- 41:39Speaker 4: have that trajectory, this isn't a cess pool of all
- 41:42Speaker 4: the dads are coming here to come. Yeah, we complain,
- 41:44Speaker 4: Shit happens and it sucks, but we don't just come
- 41:46Speaker 4: here complain and then move on. You come here, complain,
- 41:49Speaker 4: talk with your buddies, look how you can improve, tell
- 41:52Speaker 4: the world how you improved, and then we move on
- 41:54Speaker 4: to the next one. I think, yeah, that's the difference
- 41:56Speaker 4: between kind of what you see yourself in this and
- 41:58Speaker 4: like what it is. Because the show's sick and people
- 42:00Speaker 4: see it and go, damn, I should do that, Damn
- 42:02Speaker 4: I should make a Teddy Bear out of the recliner
- 42:04Speaker 4: from my grandpa's place. Damn, I should do all these
- 42:08Speaker 4: things that these people are calling in about. It's a
- 42:09Speaker 4: standard that PT six has set that we're just trying
- 42:12Speaker 4: to bounce back to every single day.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Dude. That's so fucking true, dude.
- 42:17Speaker 3: It always comes back to the Teddy Bear call in, DUDEA,
- 42:20Speaker 3: it always comes back to the Teddy Bear call in.
- 42:23Speaker 3: And as much as I was joking in that moment,
- 42:27Speaker 3: there's some seriousness here too. When I told Dirky, I
- 42:30Speaker 3: pointed at that stat photo and said, Hey, what the
- 42:33Speaker 3: what the hell am I thinking?
- 42:34Speaker 2: Man? Look at my fam Look how cute those two
- 42:36Speaker 2: girls are.
- 42:37Speaker 3: What am I doing being a jerk? But it's true, dude.
- 42:41Speaker 3: It's like they're deserving of way better. When I am
- 42:46Speaker 3: at my lowest, or I am falling short, or I'm frustrated,
- 42:51Speaker 3: my family deserves better. Can I be perfect for them
- 42:54Speaker 3: all the time? Absolutely not. Does my wife know that?
- 42:57Speaker 3: And it's okay with that? Absolutely So. I just wanted
- 43:04Speaker 3: the listeners to know that this strangely feels like a
- 43:10Speaker 3: very safe space, even though it is going on www
- 43:14Speaker 3: dot internet dot com every single week. And I love
- 43:18Speaker 3: what you said about the accountability. Part of it is
- 43:22Speaker 3: that you guys, including will feel like a group that
- 43:26Speaker 3: I can come to you and like I tell y'all, hey,
- 43:30Speaker 3: I slept on the couch to try and you know,
- 43:32Speaker 3: give my wife the cold shoulder and show her I
- 43:34Speaker 3: was upset, watched her favorite show without her, turned up
- 43:39Speaker 3: the TV laud just so she.
- 43:40Speaker 2: Could hear I was doing it.
- 43:41Speaker 3: And the fact that y'all can laugh, but you also
- 43:44Speaker 3: don't celebrate it, you know what I'm saying, Like you're
- 43:47Speaker 3: not sitting there going like hell, yeah, sure, I'm shower dude. Yeah.
- 43:52Speaker 3: You know.
- 43:52Speaker 6: I think the reason for that is that I think
- 43:55Speaker 6: all of us men have done that in some kind
- 43:57Speaker 6: of form or fashion. You get Petty ninety like yeah, Petty,
- 44:01Speaker 6: and it's like I'm gonna show and then it never
- 44:03Speaker 6: it's the same thing.
- 44:04Speaker 2: We've all done it. We've all gone why did we
- 44:06Speaker 2: do that? Why did I? Like in whatever form or fashion.
- 44:10Speaker 6: So it's almost like like you said, it's like we're
- 44:12Speaker 6: not laughing in like a moniagle since it's like almost
- 44:16Speaker 6: because you're like I've done it, and I you know,
- 44:18Speaker 6: you know that feeling that you're going through during that episode.
- 44:21Speaker 6: I was sitting there going I've been there. I've been
- 44:24Speaker 6: there a lot. And that's kind of the beauty of
- 44:26Speaker 6: the show is that we all get to like there's
- 44:27Speaker 6: such a shared experience. Even for someone who doesn't have
- 44:30Speaker 6: a kid and I'm twenty four, don't plan on having
- 44:33Speaker 6: a kid anytime soon. It's like through uh, it's it's
- 44:36Speaker 6: like almost like a look forward to go like shure,
- 44:39Speaker 6: you're married, young, have a you know, one year old daughter.
- 44:42Speaker 6: It's like some of those things that I deal with.
- 44:45Speaker 6: It's good to know that, like, hey, this is stuff
- 44:47Speaker 6: that you're always gonna deal like, you're always gonna have
- 44:50Speaker 6: some of these challenges and stuff like it doesn't the
- 44:52Speaker 6: way and that's okay, Like it's not supposed to.
- 44:54Speaker 2: It's supposed to, you know. It's kind of how relationships are.
- 44:57Speaker 2: It's a dance.
- 44:59Speaker 3: It is a da ants dude, but full story, Jill
- 45:04Speaker 3: was wrong. So just saying I love you, Jill, but
- 45:10Speaker 3: I'm in the chair. She was wrong. Hey, hey, I
- 45:13Speaker 3: will say this.
- 45:15Speaker 2: She was so not wrong. Is the best part.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Like, if I broke down the entire situation, I feel
- 45:21Speaker 3: like everybody you would have been like dogs. Yeah, it
- 45:26Speaker 3: was so much more than the dogs to dude, I
- 45:29Speaker 3: just started laying it down once like she was able to.
- 45:34Speaker 3: I mean, it was like a courtroom scene where like
- 45:36Speaker 3: she just holds the ultimate lawyer legalese on me, and
- 45:40Speaker 3: I'm like, oh fuck, I just lost this case and
- 45:42Speaker 3: I do hail Mary of just like crazy evidence throwing
- 45:47Speaker 3: in and yeah, everybody.
- 45:49Speaker 2: In the back is like, objection is crazy.
- 45:52Speaker 3: What was he doing the courtroom?
- 45:55Speaker 2: Damn it?
- 45:56Speaker 3: Yeah, they would have wanted order in their court with
- 46:00Speaker 3: the way that I was acting. But the other good
- 46:02Speaker 3: thing that I will say too, and the part that
- 46:05Speaker 3: I've thought a little bit about, especially recently, is like
- 46:11Speaker 3: it is really cool that I am working some of
- 46:16Speaker 3: these kinks out and figuring some of this stuff out
- 46:19Speaker 3: with Jill, with Scarlett at the age. That's that she
- 46:26Speaker 3: doesn't fully see that interaction with mom and dad right
- 46:30Speaker 3: now now that she's won, and I don't say didn't
- 46:32Speaker 3: see it like it was some screaming match or that
- 46:35Speaker 3: like things were getting thrown not even remotely the case,
- 46:39Speaker 3: but more so that those little eyes are going to
- 46:44Speaker 3: be more and more locked in, and those little ears
- 46:46Speaker 3: are going to know more and more and more the
- 46:49Speaker 3: words that are coming out of the mouth, and every
- 46:52Speaker 3: single action that she sees dad ads do is going
- 46:56Speaker 3: to be internalized, and I need to really sit there
- 47:01Speaker 3: process things, think to myself, my daughter's watching me right now.
- 47:07Speaker 3: I need to handle this with a ton of care
- 47:11Speaker 3: and through the lens of how I want daughter, my
- 47:14Speaker 3: daughter to expect men, yes, to act and expect men
- 47:23Speaker 3: to treat women and to treat her eventually when she
- 47:28Speaker 3: is in a relationship, So that that has like weighed
- 47:32Speaker 3: heavy too. If yeah, dude, I was being such a
- 47:35Speaker 3: bozone was Scarlett was sitting there listening to the way
- 47:38Speaker 3: that I was trying to pawn off the dogs on
- 47:42Speaker 3: her mom, Like it's such a loser mentality, You'll.
- 47:46Speaker 4: I think there's only two ways that kids learn about love,
- 47:48Speaker 4: and it's either how your dad loved or how you
- 47:51Speaker 4: want to love because of how your dad loved and
- 47:53Speaker 4: not just your dad, but for our sake, we're dad's. Like,
- 47:55Speaker 4: she's either going to learn justifiably and I know, obviously
- 47:59Speaker 4: you're a good man and a dad. It's going to
- 48:00Speaker 4: turn out, but like daughters are going to figure out
- 48:02Speaker 4: how they should be loved by the actions of their fathers, yea.
- 48:05Speaker 4: And so through that whole line, yeah, like, and you
- 48:07Speaker 4: probably would have felt bad if you turned up dragons
- 48:09Speaker 4: and dragons woke her up or something like.
- 48:11Speaker 2: There are parts of that that she is a baby
- 48:14Speaker 2: is a baby. Yeah, I mean she's going to see
- 48:16Speaker 2: you guys.
- 48:17Speaker 3: I mean we know obviously everything's a little as semplified
- 48:20Speaker 3: for the show, but yeah, she learns love through your
- 48:22Speaker 3: actions for your wife, and so you're right, it is
- 48:25Speaker 3: good to get kinks out and things like that. And
- 48:27Speaker 3: having a kid. I don't know, I got two dogs.
- 48:29Speaker 3: Having a kid doesn't look easy necessarily. She's got to
- 48:33Speaker 3: be times like that.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Yeah, like the easiest part of parenthood. I talked with Coop.
- 48:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I told you all last episode I went to
- 48:41Speaker 3: Atlanta because I told the Uncle Tanner story. Yeah, went to.
- 48:46Speaker 2: Atlanta with Kop.
- 48:47Speaker 3: Coop picked my brain on the drive back from Atlanta
- 48:51Speaker 3: about being a dad pretty much the entire drive back,
- 48:56Speaker 3: which I try really hard when I'm with my friends
- 48:59Speaker 3: to not talk about being a dad because I'm sure
- 49:01Speaker 3: it's a broken record to a lot of people that
- 49:05Speaker 3: aren't dads. And thank God to have this show where
- 49:08Speaker 3: I can like come on here and excessively speak about
- 49:11Speaker 3: being a dad and kind of gets that tick out
- 49:14Speaker 3: of the way for the week. But he was picking
- 49:17Speaker 3: my brain. He's like asking me all these questions and
- 49:20Speaker 3: like was being so kind, shout out Coop of saying,
- 49:26Speaker 3: you and Jill just make it look so easy. Yeah,
- 49:30Speaker 3: y'all make it look so easy. And I know it's
- 49:32Speaker 3: not easy. What's the secret, what's the blah blah blah,
- 49:36Speaker 3: And I was like, dude, the part of parenting that
- 49:40Speaker 3: is quote unquote easy is like picking your daughter, getting
- 49:46Speaker 3: your daughter dressed in the morning, taking her to daycare,
- 49:51Speaker 3: making sure she has food in her backpack, and even
- 49:53Speaker 3: I find a way to fuck that up.
- 49:55Speaker 2: Like that's the easy part of the job. And I
- 49:57Speaker 2: fucked that.
- 49:58Speaker 3: Up all the time. But like those are the easy
- 50:01Speaker 3: parts of parenting. Of like, oh, Scarlett, let's play soccer,
- 50:04Speaker 3: let's get shin guards, let's get cleats, let's get jersey,
- 50:09Speaker 3: and let's sign her.
- 50:09Speaker 2: Up for a league.
- 50:11Speaker 3: That's so easy. It's the little minutia like moments throughout
- 50:16Speaker 3: the day of just kind of introducing her to the world,
- 50:23Speaker 3: Andrews introducing her into being a strong, confident woman, introducing
- 50:29Speaker 3: her to how you interact with a waiter or waitress
- 50:33Speaker 3: or a stranger, or the everyday stuff like building them
- 50:38Speaker 3: up as a person. That's the hard part, and that's
- 50:41Speaker 3: usually the part that people don't see. And so I
- 50:45Speaker 3: thank you for saying, hey, y'all make it look so easy.
- 50:48Speaker 3: I have a type A wife that's a nurse. Hell yeah,
- 50:51Speaker 3: it's gonna be easy. She plans everything out for me.
- 50:55Speaker 3: But it's those moments when no one's looking, like when
- 50:58Speaker 3: I slept on the couch and turned up thrones.
- 51:01Speaker 2: Those are the hard moments of parenting. Those are the
- 51:03Speaker 2: hard moments. I love that though.
- 51:07Speaker 4: That cute for asking how was the trip, though you
- 51:09Speaker 4: didn't really get too much into the trip.
- 51:11Speaker 2: Dude, trip was so good.
- 51:14Speaker 3: Speaking of type A nursey wife, Jill could not have
- 51:20Speaker 3: murdered it more. Could not have murdered it more. The
- 51:23Speaker 3: place where we did the birthday party, it's like a
- 51:26Speaker 3: room that you could rent out. Shout out Cody and
- 51:29Speaker 3: Lisa for setting that up. There was a birthday party
- 51:35Speaker 3: before ours that was underwater themed, like ocean themed, and
- 51:40Speaker 3: so they had jellyfish and bubbles hanging from the ceiling.
- 51:44Speaker 3: And they looked at their the events space, looked at
- 51:46Speaker 3: their planning thing, and they saw one year old Mermaid
- 51:49Speaker 3: party and they go, oh, leave everything up, don't clean
- 51:52Speaker 3: it up. And so Jill had put together all these
- 51:55Speaker 3: like really beautiful decorations and stuff, but we had never
- 51:58Speaker 3: thought about ceiling stuff. And I come in and I
- 52:01Speaker 3: see the jellyfish in the bubbles. I'm like, oh my god, Jill,
- 52:04Speaker 3: when did you do this? They're like, no, it was
- 52:07Speaker 3: the birthday before us, so it like everything was going
- 52:10Speaker 3: our way.
- 52:12Speaker 2: Scarlett was so excited, dude.
- 52:13Speaker 3: She had no idea what was going on. She's not
- 52:16Speaker 3: gonna remember any of it. But what we did. If
- 52:21Speaker 3: you're gonna throw a first birthday party, because that is
- 52:24Speaker 3: the quote that everybody tells you, here's your dad hack, they're.
- 52:27Speaker 2: Never gonna remember it.
- 52:28Speaker 3: Why the fuck are you doing it? What are you
- 52:30Speaker 3: doing with a one year old birthday party and planning
- 52:33Speaker 3: everything to a tee? I get that, But if you
- 52:37Speaker 3: plan everything to a tea for the adults and it's
- 52:40Speaker 3: like also kind of an adult party, it bangs, dude.
- 52:45Speaker 3: We had we had a little open bar situation for
- 52:48Speaker 3: the adults, like this little poolside bar. All the adults
- 52:54Speaker 3: that didn't have kids are a couple of friends without kids.
- 52:56Speaker 3: They're in the pool with like the kiddos are in
- 52:59Speaker 3: the baby pool and they're just like chilling in the
- 53:00Speaker 3: water with their drinks vibing. It was totally sick. Jill
- 53:07Speaker 3: have this ridiculous mermaid playlist. I got to get that
- 53:10Speaker 3: playlist for y'all and for anybody at home looking to
- 53:13Speaker 3: throw a Mermaid party for a one year old.
- 53:16Speaker 2: Just Siren songs twenty four to seven.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Insane, catchy, how is it? Like? Eh, the water is perfect. Hey,
- 53:24Speaker 3: I'm a mermaid with like EDM type like beats behind it.
- 53:30Speaker 3: I was like, kids, papas elevated, dude, Kids, Papa is elevated.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Oh I love that.
- 53:37Speaker 3: It was so good, dude, And so like that's playing
- 53:39Speaker 3: as I'm like, hey, I have another margarita, and like
- 53:42Speaker 3: hanging out with my friends and there's babies crawling everywhere.
- 53:48Speaker 2: Did you did you dress up? No, dude.
- 53:53Speaker 3: I saw pictures of you guys there and I was like, oh,
- 53:55Speaker 3: they look beautiful. And Jill had like a sequin skirt
- 53:59Speaker 3: thing on that looked like a mermaid tail, and everyone
- 54:02Speaker 3: looked great. And then I looked at you and it
- 54:04Speaker 3: was not King Neptin, nor King Triydon, nor nor nothing.
- 54:09Speaker 3: I didn't do ship and my first thought was, Oh,
- 54:12Speaker 3: that's a really lazy king. Okay, I can he could
- 54:18Speaker 3: have at least took his shirt off.
- 54:19Speaker 2: It's the same he could have died she beard or something.
- 54:23Speaker 3: You could have worn turquoise shorts and just had your
- 54:26Speaker 3: shirt on a trident.
- 54:28Speaker 2: At least.
- 54:33Speaker 3: Deep thank you for some people in the comments too hilarious.
- 54:38Speaker 3: Somebody said I was promised King Triton, and I replied,
- 54:41Speaker 3: underneath him asterisk King Nepton. We are we We spent
- 54:45Speaker 3: about it. I don't know, maybe two hours of the
- 54:47Speaker 3: show already telling you you're good Dad. Where the fuck
- 54:50Speaker 3: was the cost? Fuck was the cost?
- 54:52Speaker 2: Where was it?
- 54:52Speaker 7: Uh?
- 54:53Speaker 3: Dog house had a lot to do with that. Dog
- 54:56Speaker 3: house had a lot to do with that. I I
- 55:00Speaker 3: never got around to buying it. Joan would usually buy
- 55:03Speaker 3: that sort of thing for me. And while I was
- 55:07Speaker 3: in doghouse, because doghouse was like the next three days
- 55:11Speaker 3: and it wasn't a true doghouse, but it was like a.
- 55:16Speaker 2: You know, I don't know how.
- 55:20Speaker 3: To phrase it, like it's not walking on eggshells, but
- 55:23Speaker 3: it's kind of like, Hey, I'm trying not to be
- 55:28Speaker 3: in your way. I'm trying to show you that I
- 55:33Speaker 3: care around the house and I love you, yeah, and
- 55:37Speaker 3: my mind was either on that or work, and so
- 55:40Speaker 3: anything that didn't fall in those two categories just went wow.
- 55:45Speaker 3: And then so when we were her cousin Megan shout out.
- 55:49Speaker 3: Meghan came to pick us up from the airport and
- 55:52Speaker 3: Jill was like, did you order the King Trident outfit?
- 55:54Speaker 3: I was like, did not? And that was the day
- 55:57Speaker 3: before the birthday. Was when we both remembered so huge
- 56:03Speaker 3: swing and miss by me. Yeah.
- 56:04Speaker 4: Well, I was just excited to see it more than anything. Like, again,
- 56:07Speaker 4: you know, Scars is not gonna remember Dad didn't dress
- 56:10Speaker 4: up as it, but like, it's cool concept.
- 56:12Speaker 3: And I will say this, this could be used as
- 56:16Speaker 3: a teaser for another show that is in this universe.
- 56:21Speaker 3: And I truly cannot say more because I'm a plebeian
- 56:24Speaker 3: at this company.
- 56:25Speaker 2: As far as uh going rogue and uh spoiling stuff.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Should we just say everything every rumor that's ever happened,
- 56:34Speaker 4: we actually probably should.
- 56:37Speaker 3: After I leak this, there's gonna be some Disney inspired
- 56:40Speaker 3: uh content at sometime this fall that will involve dress up.
- 56:48Speaker 3: I'm done, I'm out. That's it Disney content. It will
- 56:53Speaker 3: involve pretty much every member at this company. I've over
- 56:58Speaker 3: promised a lot of people dress up and I'll leave
- 57:01Speaker 3: it at that. And so maybe King Triton can come
- 57:04Speaker 3: out to play then, or King Neptune or King Neptune
- 57:08Speaker 3: either or he loves him some SpongeBob.
- 57:11Speaker 2: He would be a big fan of me. And he's
- 57:13Speaker 2: deep coated in the SpongeBob mean while he.
- 57:15Speaker 3: Is, he probably heard me saying King Neptune and he
- 57:17Speaker 3: was like, yeah, sure, he's right. Bald head, bald head,
- 57:21Speaker 3: yeah yeah. Crown paper Bag over said, here's a conversation.
- 57:26Speaker 3: Would you let your kids watch SpongeBob? Because my parents
- 57:30Speaker 3: did not let me watch SpongeBob. And I think that
- 57:33Speaker 3: on a culture meme, just database it like hurts you
- 57:39Speaker 3: if you don't watch SpongeBob as a kid, like you
- 57:41Speaker 3: do you.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Get what I'm home with a chef.
- 57:43Speaker 6: I was a SpongeBob watcher, Okay. I was the complete
- 57:46Speaker 6: opposite in his spectrum. I watched every single episode, okay,
- 57:49Speaker 6: And yes, I think it's detrimental to a young one's health.
- 57:52Speaker 2: That they weren't able to watch that. JP would fully
- 57:55Speaker 2: agree with that.
- 57:55Speaker 3: J would fully agree.
- 57:56Speaker 2: And can I ask Chris a fall out.
- 57:58Speaker 4: The he's starting his question with, here's a conversation is
- 58:02Speaker 4: the main reason day when I said, Chris is my guys,
- 58:05Speaker 4: that's a presentation.
- 58:07Speaker 2: Of an idea that we all now are on the
- 58:09Speaker 2: edge of our seats.
- 58:09Speaker 3: Yes, please ask Chris your question. Chris follow up would be,
- 58:13Speaker 3: I think you probably had some homework that you had
- 58:16Speaker 3: to do with SpongeBob to get caught up, or maybe
- 58:20Speaker 3: you never did, but what did that process look like?
- 58:23Speaker 2: Did you ever ingratiate yourself with SpongeBob?
- 58:27Speaker 5: So basically, it's when someone sends a meme on Instagram
- 58:31Speaker 5: or you see anything around you just have to catch
- 58:34Speaker 5: yourself up on where the context is. So like when
- 58:37Speaker 5: someone sends a meme, you've got to all of a sudden,
- 58:40Speaker 5: you got to watch the clip and then you got
- 58:42Speaker 5: to figure out, okay, what's the context of that? Because
- 58:45Speaker 5: people will also quote SpongeBob at school. I can't pick
- 58:49Speaker 5: of one, like off the top of my brain, but
- 58:51Speaker 5: people will quote it, and then all of a sudden,
- 58:53Speaker 5: you're thinking, what was that person saying? And I'm already
- 58:56Speaker 5: hard of hearing. I have a set genuinely, I have
- 59:00Speaker 5: a seventy year old's hearing capability. So when someone says
- 59:03Speaker 5: something and I don't get it, it's a huh A,
- 59:07Speaker 5: what what? That's kind of where I'm at. So and
- 59:11Speaker 5: I watched, you know, some of the other shows, but
- 59:13Speaker 5: not watching SpongeBob. I think truly could be detrimental to
- 59:18Speaker 5: your children. And you know, science says one thing, but
- 59:21Speaker 5: Chris says the other. You know, that's just what I'm
- 59:25Speaker 5: That's just what I'm saying.
- 59:26Speaker 3: You know, last question for Chrissler unless you know, I
- 59:30Speaker 3: was just going to say we all were intently watching Chris.
- 59:33Speaker 3: I was curious how he was going to end it.
- 59:35Speaker 3: Very well put, very well put, Chris, And final message
- 59:39Speaker 3: would be do you think you are a final question?
- 59:41Speaker 2: Do you have a follow up question after you?
- 59:42Speaker 3: So? One more after you? Okay, good good? Did you
- 59:46Speaker 3: overcome it? How are you feeling, because I think you
- 59:48Speaker 3: have a good sense of humor, Chris.
- 59:50Speaker 5: No, Yeah, it definitely was a steep battle to go up.
- 59:53Speaker 5: I think also, I got sent to a lot of
- 59:55Speaker 5: camps when I was younger, Like it was cheaper to
- 59:57Speaker 5: send me to camp than to feed me at home
- 59:59Speaker 5: as a child. I think that helped me a lot,
- 1:00:02Speaker 5: you know, just from the Scout camps, you know, the
- 1:00:04Speaker 5: church camps. You know, even like got sent to like
- 1:00:07Speaker 5: some kind of diabetic camp, even though I'm not a diabetic.
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: You know, it was just cheaper to send me there
- 1:00:12Speaker 5: than to feed me at home.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Yeah, I love that heavyweight.
- 1:00:16Speaker 4: There's a dad Hack for you. Yeah, send your kid
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: the diabetes camp.
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: Kid's a stick. But the camp is the cheapest one.
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: It was at a church, So the church camp was
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: at a diabetic camp and so like, so it was
- 1:00:31Speaker 5: a cheap already, but then it was like they only
- 1:00:34Speaker 5: fed you like diabetic food options. So like the brownies
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: were there and I don't like brownies, but brownies and
- 1:00:40Speaker 5: then you had to add like you could add sugar.
- 1:00:42Speaker 5: And genuinely, there was no water at this camp. It
- 1:00:45Speaker 5: was just tubs and tubs of diet coke at this
- 1:00:49Speaker 5: church camp. But they but the plus side to this,
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: they did have gummy bears like readily available.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: Okay, so you kind of rock with it a little bit,
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: Dad Hack, can't.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Kid comes back from camp with the sweet dude too?
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: What was your follow up? D Hey Chris uh deeke
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: for the dads, thank you for taking my question. What
- 1:01:15Speaker 4: upon all of your research.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: I was gonna go the angle of these kids have
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: AI nowadays and he can't do any homework. But I
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: actually I do have a question.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: What's your a one number one SpongeBob mean or reference
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: that you now love or understand based on your research?
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: Good?
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: Okay, it would have to be like the SpongeBob. I'm
- 1:01:37Speaker 5: blanking on it right now. But it's like when when
- 1:01:40Speaker 5: the like, uh, what's the crab the crab guy? Nobody
- 1:01:43Speaker 5: said Rusty. It's not Krusty krabb, it's he owns Yeah,
- 1:01:48Speaker 5: he owns it. This is how bad it is. It's like,
- 1:01:52Speaker 5: you know when he just walks in. I can't think
- 1:01:54Speaker 5: of a specific one, but it's like when he walks
- 1:01:56Speaker 5: in and he's just like ragging on SpongeBob or whatever,
- 1:01:59Speaker 5: and then it's like he's walking in and out just frustrated. No,
- 1:02:02Speaker 5: but squid I'm thinking of squid word. Squid word. I
- 1:02:04Speaker 5: thought for some reason, squid word was so he's not.
- 1:02:06Speaker 3: A crab, because the crab he would come in and
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: say he loves he'd be.
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: Like SpongeBob, me boy, like gean happy gene gene and
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: so yeah, your moment, yeah, squid word comes in, so
- 1:02:19Speaker 4: it's like, sorry, squid Guy comes in.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: Squid Guy he said, he said, Squidward.
- 1:02:24Speaker 5: Oh okay, yeah, yeah yeah, So it's like when squid
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: Word comes Oh no, okay, this is what it is.
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: It's when Squidward picks up the chair and leaves. That's
- 1:02:32Speaker 5: the one I like the most, Like when I think
- 1:02:35Speaker 5: you you dey, don't seem like you know what I'm
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: talking about, do you know?
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Like it's when Squidward like he like, you haven't described
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: a scene yet, so no, I don't I talk.
- 1:02:43Speaker 5: Hey, okay, well it's when squid Word picks up the chair.
- 1:02:46Speaker 5: I think chef knows where this, like, you know, when
- 1:02:47Speaker 5: he picks up the chair and he just walks into
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: his house. It's not really like, oh.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: The sunbathing chair. Yeah yeah, yeah, okay, we're not at
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: the restaurant.
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: I'm with you.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: No, yeah, I gotchas house and he has the sunbathing.
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: Chair at the leap Blooding episode.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: I forget why he's going to lamb blowing episodes.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: So I don't know that's a good question, but I
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: know something that annoyed him.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:03:11Speaker 5: It was something like I'm with you now, Chris, And
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: then it's like when he packs up, his churn just
- 1:03:14Speaker 5: goes inside because when someone is annoying to that's the meme.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: Okay, now now it's clicking.
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: Christ.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: That was a good one.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: That was a good one. So I know exactly what
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: you're saying when someone says something stupid. You put that
- 1:03:24Speaker 3: one because you pack up your stuff. Leap there with
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: that statement.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: I like that one, and.
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: That was what I was deprived of in my childhood.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Brought to us by the Chrizzler.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: Yeah, Chris. And also, I don't know if Chris is
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: editing this at all, are you? Are you or he's
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: like watching you. He's gonna I'm gonna walk him through it.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: Club that.
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: Let's make sure that we put some kind of image
- 1:03:50Speaker 3: of that referencing that scene, yes in sponge in SpongeBob,
- 1:03:56Speaker 3: for the listeners to be able to follow along as well.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Okay, The Trenches is our next segment.
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: And we're talking first birthday parties, and we're talking must
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: haves at first birthday parties. And I chalked it down
- 1:04:13Speaker 3: to three items.
- 1:04:15Speaker 2: You don't have to do.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: A big old blowout for first birthday party like Jill
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: and I did, not a lot of people have twenty
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: seven first cousins, sixteen first cousins, yeah, etc. You may
- 1:04:27Speaker 3: just want to do something at home, which is the
- 1:04:29Speaker 3: three of you, mom and dad and baby. You might
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: want to have just a couple friends over, whatever the
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: case may be. I think these are three items that
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: if these are at your child's quote unquote first birthday party,
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: you cannot lose. Number one cake. That's self explainatory, self explanatory.
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: Are you two questions in between or should we hold
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: them to after please cake or smash cake?
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Either?
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: Okay, I'm just saying people might want a cake, but
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: the baby gets a cake. I never know that works.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: What's a specifo the baby? Oh to kind of toss up?
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: And what kind of flavor? Any? Yeah?
- 1:05:09Speaker 3: Yeah, either or both with the smash coker, real cake,
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: any flavor.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: I'm not gonna sit there and tell you what to do,
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Mom and dad.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: I'm just loving having a cake that they can smash, dude,
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: whether it's a bona fide cake from the freezer section
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: of Kroger or publics or wherever you shop. Basking Robin's
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: also has some good ice cream cakes. But the little
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: event place that we're at provided the cake, I think,
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: And it's like a smash cake, so it's like real
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: easy for the baby to just like Scarlet was. I mean,
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: I put up that meme of Grandpa thought the can
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: of paint was yogurt. That's like what she looked like.
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: And everybody wants to see the baby go to town
- 1:05:57Speaker 3: on the cake. That's why everybody to see it's like, oh,
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: first birthday party. The two things that come to my brain.
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: Is there going to be drinks there? Yeah, like, please God,
- 1:06:09Speaker 3: let there be drinks there? Or are they gonna let
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: the baby smash the cake and get all over its
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: face because that's about the only cool thing that's going
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: down at a first birthday. It is cool to see too.
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: It's just a baby go Godzilla on a birthday cake. Dude.
- 1:06:22Speaker 3: It rips. And especially like with us, we don't give
- 1:06:25Speaker 3: Scarlet a lot of sugar. Yeah no, so when Scarlet's
- 1:06:28Speaker 3: getting sugar, it's hitting her in real time, like it's
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: truly like coursing through her role. Oh my god, what
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: have they given me? Alcohol is not on my list,
- 1:06:40Speaker 3: By the way, alcohol is not on my list. Birthday
- 1:06:43Speaker 3: cake slash alcohol is number one. Yeah, yeah, birthday cakes
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: number one. I just wanted to put it out there.
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: I know that I said. My first question is are
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: there going to be drinks there? I don't think you
- 1:06:52Speaker 3: have to have drinks at a first birthday party. That's
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: not on my must have, but it is nice to have.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: Number two.
- 1:07:00Speaker 3: Bubble machine. Okay, bubble machine, dude, the bubble ones, the
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: bubble tube. I'm sure that's the cheaper route. I'm sure,
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: but go to Walmart, go to Target. You can find
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: one of those little cheap o fifteen dollar ones that
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: you put two double as in and has the wheel
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: that spins and it blows the air through it, and
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: it's perpetual bubbles. It's not spilling anywhere. Put it somewhere
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: where the kids can't reach it, but there's just constant
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: bubbles coming through. Because at a first birthday party, you
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: will have kids probably aging from ranges newborn to like
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: eight would be my guess, and a bubble machine is
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: just undefeated, dude. The newborns are mystified by it. They
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: don't know how to reach out and touch it, but
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: they love it.
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: They like six to seven to eight month olds, they're
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: actually kind of reaching out towards the bubbles.
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: They're loving it. The one year olds, they're crawling a
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: little bit older than one. They're standing up, they're trying
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: to grab it, they're walking around, they're popping the bubbles, dude.
- 1:08:05Speaker 3: Public bubble machine brings a vibe. It's like the easiest
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: hack ever of just like a toy that allows everybody
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: to interact with it, and it kind of gives the
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: room some mombiyonce, du we're having a party here. Maybe
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: you want to get some lights going. You don't have
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: to get some lights going, but if you have bubble
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: machine and lights, and the bubble machine is something where
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: like even the guy that doesn't like kids that at
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: the party are like the cool guy. A bubble goes by,
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: he's gonna pop that shit like one goes by. You're
- 1:08:35Speaker 3: gonna just a little pop. And don't involved. Don't act
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: like you're too cool for bubble. I'm not saying you are,
- 1:08:43Speaker 3: but don't act like you're too cool for bubbles, dude.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: Bubbles are ripped.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: College students are doing phone parties. What's a phone party, Sherman.
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: That's just a big ass bubble party with a bunch
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: of college age kids. Wow, if you really think about it,
- 1:08:55Speaker 3: the world we live in You never outgrow bubbles.
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: So that's number two. Number three music.
- 1:09:02Speaker 6: Music dude, Mermaid music, Mermaid specifically a mermaidsylist, Mermaid music playlist, rips.
- 1:09:10Speaker 3: If you have a boy that is upsised with dinosaurs,
- 1:09:13Speaker 3: I guarantee you if you get on the internet and
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: look for it. There is a dinosaur kids Bop playlist
- 1:09:19Speaker 3: where they have changed all the lyrics to being a
- 1:09:22Speaker 3: t rex, being a bronosaurus, being a raptor and getting
- 1:09:27Speaker 3: your raptor clause up and do the raptor dance. There's
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: some ditty out there that let's cut that in real time.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: Diddy has a song, not a not an artist there.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: There is some tune out there, a little a little ditty,
- 1:09:44Speaker 3: a little shanty that talks about or sings about whatever
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: your kid's favorite thing is. So I would I would
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: have music playing. You can do it softly. It does
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: not have to be loud. And I said, I was
- 1:10:02Speaker 3: going to keep it simple. Use the kiss method on this,
- 1:10:07Speaker 3: and I'll run you through it again. Cake, bubble machine music, drinks.
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: Potentially some drinks might be sue me, yeah, give me
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: some nerks.
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: That's my perfect that's my perfect first birthday party.
- 1:10:21Speaker 4: I love it, and you kind of my brain now
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: goes to t Rex theme party. I guarantee there's a
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: playlist where random dinosaur noises happened throughout it, so you
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: could be like, what was that? Was that a t
- 1:10:32Speaker 4: rex outside and play the stupid uncle game there. I
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: guarantee there's a playlist for every themed themed party, like
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: I would feel confident saying.
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: That out loud with your tail party, stomp your feet,
- 1:10:44Speaker 3: Come on, t Ranasaurus, show your teeth.
- 1:10:48Speaker 2: I just made that up right now. That's probably a
- 1:10:51Speaker 2: real song.
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: Stuff. Now we should make it. I'm just saying, dude,
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: and that Scar Scars party had all these scarscars party
- 1:10:59Speaker 3: had bubble machine, cake and music.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: And little drinking drink.
- 1:11:08Speaker 3: Sue us sue us um. That's sick though, thank you.
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: Crack a cold one? Do you want to crack a
- 1:11:16Speaker 3: cold one?
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: You guys want to do some shout outs real quick,
- 1:11:18Speaker 6: leave shout outs before we do crack cold Kick us off, chef,
- 1:11:22Speaker 6: what do you oh, pleasure? I have Keith Kincaid nine
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: to eight three three from YouTube boys just wanted to
- 1:11:31Speaker 6: shout out my wife Katie, happy ten year anniversary. One
- 1:11:34Speaker 6: of the best gives gifts we can give our children
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: is loving our significant other with all we have. My
- 1:11:41Speaker 6: wife works from home full time while taking care of
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: a five year old and twenty one month year old boy. Yes,
- 1:11:48Speaker 6: the twenty one month old is also a wolverine, so
- 1:11:50Speaker 6: he doesn't give a fuck.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: She truly is the backbone.
- 1:11:55Speaker 6: Of our family. I love you so much. You're an
- 1:11:57Speaker 6: amazing wife and even better mother. Shout out to the
- 1:12:01Speaker 6: shout out to the community, love the show, and to
- 1:12:03Speaker 6: all the dads out there doing your best.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: You're all dogs. Hmmm love that one, chef.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: I have one from Andrew Anglin Instagram. Andrew wrote in Wow, guys,
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: is very serious. It is a serious one. It's the
- 1:12:21Speaker 3: first time I'm hearing it. Andrew England Instagram says, my
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: wife Kate gave me a beautiful eight pound baby boy today.
- 1:12:28Speaker 3: Can you shout her out on the next pod? Ps.
- 1:12:32Speaker 3: I didn't get the trash out on time this week,
- 1:12:34Speaker 3: so on top of a baby boy in our fourteen
- 1:12:37Speaker 3: month old girl, I gotta find time to get that
- 1:12:39Speaker 3: shit to the dump. Talk about an epic dad loss,
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: Go big orange. See he did not write that in
- 1:12:46Speaker 3: all caps. I just thought maybe an extra fun and
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: read it like he was pissed. He's probably not gonna
- 1:12:50Speaker 3: you read it like to have famous TikTok where the
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: guys like Mike, it's my birthday that you were leaning
- 1:12:56Speaker 3: into there. But I also bet his wife's like that
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: is how you sound Une. My wife is Kate. She
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: cat me in beautifully brown baby boy. Today, I got
- 1:13:05Speaker 3: one from X. Found a couple of good ones on
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: X this week. So Ryan Martin on X. Hey boys,
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: this is Ryan from Kentucky. Just wanted to reach out
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: and give a shout out to my brother in law
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: Chris Cox. Him and his wife are expecting August eleventh.
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: They are doing a surprise gender, so this could be good.
- 1:13:23Speaker 3: What are the odds on the pod? He is the
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: one who got me hooked on four the Dads through
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: busting y'all's advice is truly motivating and wish y'all nothing
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: but the best. Thank you, Ryan, shout out Chris Cox,
- 1:13:34Speaker 3: congratulations and I hope everything goes well on this eleventh.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: I would say, uh, it's gonna be a girl. Come on,
- 1:13:41Speaker 3: it's gonna be a girl. Hey. Also shout out my
- 1:13:44Speaker 3: really good friends because they just announced it on Instagram.
- 1:13:47Speaker 3: Tait and Cannon. They got us at our first birthday.
- 1:13:51Speaker 2: Dude.
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: It was kind of epic. They did the hey, let's
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: take a photo because like Tit and Cannon are like,
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: I mean those are our peeps, dude, as far as
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: a couple of friends go, and like sharing details and
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: sharing meals and stuffy. Yeah, in Fort Worth, those were
- 1:14:08Speaker 3: our peeps and we miss him dearly. And they were like, hey,
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: let's get a photo of you guys. Let's get a
- 1:14:14Speaker 3: photo and where it's just us for and the person
- 1:14:16Speaker 3: was actually filming and they were like, all right, say
- 1:14:21Speaker 3: you know Cannon's pregnant on three and we're like, wait
- 1:14:26Speaker 3: what dude. Yeah, I've never.
- 1:14:27Speaker 2: Had that done to me. Dude.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: That's threw me off. I never got to see the video.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: I wish I had gotten to see it. Oh, I'm
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: sure they'll post it. Now, what do you what do
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: you have?
- 1:14:36Speaker 6: Chef shout out to my friend who I will not
- 1:14:38Speaker 6: name because he isn't fully announced, but no one watched
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: the show.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: He called me very good friend of mine.
- 1:14:43Speaker 6: He's not good at dropping stories or news and long
- 1:14:47Speaker 6: story short out of the blue after twenty five minutes
- 1:14:50Speaker 6: talk to him about random shit. He goes, by the way,
- 1:14:52Speaker 6: I'm having a kid.
- 1:14:52Speaker 3: Oh that's a that's a burying the lead is what
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: we call that. Yeah, that's just that's just a dad kid. Yes, yeah,
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: that's it. He's already a dad.
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:15:04Speaker 4: It's like, oh, by the way, she's pregnanted. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:15:07Speaker 4: that's the guy. She was excited to talk to you.
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: And also this thing's happening, and we talked.
- 1:15:10Speaker 6: All for twenty five. We talked about the upcoming college
- 1:15:12Speaker 6: football season. You talked about what was important. She was like, Hey,
- 1:15:15Speaker 6: by the way, you talked about what was important. What's
- 1:15:20Speaker 6: going what else is going on in my life?
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: Let me rack my branch.
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: Talked about the balls, talking about that running back. Yeah,
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: having a kid. I'm having a kid too, So now
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: an extra seat will be purchased for each game I assume, Yeah, no,
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: it's no, he's not a Tennessee fan.
- 1:15:35Speaker 6: Oh also just in case, because I know he hasn't
- 1:15:38Speaker 6: publicly announced. Fully, I don't want to give it anything.
- 1:15:42Speaker 6: No one's going to have his fandom. But yeah, he's
- 1:15:44Speaker 6: a he's a different school. Okay, however, you need to
- 1:15:46Speaker 6: say Project Tiger Woods full effect.
- 1:15:49Speaker 3: Okayoked girl or boy is fun with that one too,
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: or boy, Yeah, that's a good one there. I have
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: a shout out from somebody that DMed me out, which
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: I love when I get dms. I really really do,
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: and I've done I've done a bad job of replying
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: to dms when I received them, and I'm trying to
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: get back into the DM stuff guys. Uh So, anyways,
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: this comes from Mason on Twitter. Mason reached out to
- 1:16:21Speaker 3: me and wanted to give a shout out to his
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: boy Isaiah. He got Isaiah.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: On the pod. Isaiah listens to the pod and.
- 1:16:30Speaker 3: Isaiah just had his new baby boy, Graham last night.
- 1:16:36Speaker 2: Wow, new dad, new dad.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: Shout out go Isaiah, shout out you, shout out your
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: baby boy Graham and Mason. Way to be a Petcico
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: and get your boy on the show. That's a true
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: PTSICO right there. I love that. Yeah, your your dms
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: are funny because we've talked a lot about like how
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: to get through them in your walks you used to
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: do and like replies, and I know your dms are not,
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: but I do love when people like I'll get some
- 1:17:02Speaker 3: dms about some stuff, but just like food and Nashville
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: and stuff we talk about on here, so like the people
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: love dms, here's the hard thing about dms, really quick,
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: and I'll keep this breeze.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: And I got one after so you do have to
- 1:17:13Speaker 2: keep it brief, which is a good thing. Good thing.
- 1:17:16Speaker 3: Some of the dms have a lot of details in them,
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: a lot of the details in them, and I don't
- 1:17:22Speaker 3: see anything wrong with that at all, and I want
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: to know all the details.
- 1:17:26Speaker 2: But then that doesn't force me.
- 1:17:30Speaker 3: But for I force myself to, then I don't want
- 1:17:34Speaker 3: to just be like hey, brother, legend. Thanks brother, Yeah,
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: hey brother, awesome, you're a legend. Like I want to
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: be like, dude, oh my gosh, Scarlett did the exact
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: same thing.
- 1:17:46Speaker 2: Sounds like your son.
- 1:17:47Speaker 3: Graham is, you know, exactly like her and dah dah dah,
- 1:17:51Speaker 3: and hang in there because I went through the same thing.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: So if I take some time to respond, I apologize,
- 1:17:58Speaker 3: but it's also because I'm gonna actually read your DM
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: and reply.
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: I got those on the four of the Dead channel, where
- 1:18:04Speaker 4: like I don't want to send them a fake one
- 1:18:06Speaker 4: or like everyone loves you rooting for it, like I
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: do want to send something back that I assume you
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: and Will would sign off on and so that vacuum
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: is real. It's it's a wonderful problem to have that
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: people send us all the information.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: Yes they keep taking out the dress.
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: Yes that one too, and ball's empty or whatever was
- 1:18:22Speaker 4: give me a ball's in? We got Rubert Robert Robert Humphries.
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: This Chairman Robert Humphries from Spotify.
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: PT six are incoming with alarm emojis found out a

- 1:18:38Speaker 3: the entire year plus backlog and only a few months.
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: This spot has been incredible. The laughs, the stories, the
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: hacks have made the stress of becoming a first time
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: dad exciting and has me looking forward to post that
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: hospital walkout repin some p or ftd pt Siko Merch.

- 1:19:03Speaker 2: to rid through some of these before we hit the crack.

- 1:19:09Speaker 2: The good news is that this one is leaning about
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: two hour episode. I'm excited for it.
- 1:19:13Speaker 6: I was just saying, maybe we just before we hit
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: crack Cole and we just go ahead and rip through.
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: Hey, I love that idea, and I have one last
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: shout out. Good shout out Robert shout out his wife.

- 1:20:30Speaker 3: Good, I did that.

- 1:20:51Speaker 3: this podcast where two dads gave advice and cut the shit.
- 1:20:54Speaker 3: Little did I know it would give him the confidence
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: boost that he needed. He went back and listened from
- 1:21:00Speaker 3: the very beginning, bought the book twelve hours and twelve weeks,
- 1:21:04Speaker 3: and he's loved all the stories, all the advice, and
- 1:21:07Speaker 3: all the dad ass community has piled together. This podcast
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: boosted his excitement to be a dad. Bryce is ready

- 1:21:34Speaker 4: strong grip on the child. That is security, that is fatherhood.
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: That's a stud and guys, that might be our first
- 1:21:41Speaker 3: challenge for our St. Sikos in the office is practicing
- 1:21:44Speaker 3: the leaving the hospital thing. We just bring our Dona
- 1:21:48Speaker 3: that I have at the house, and I have a
- 1:21:50Speaker 3: little baby doll that's the perfect size, and we have
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: we just give no instructions other than here's the shirt.
- 1:21:58Speaker 3: Go because it's actually harder than it looks. It's a
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: bit acotaco.
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: Chris, you're not allowed to nark because I think that's
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: a good idea that we have to do this week
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: because they all leave, So Chris, you're going to go last,
- 1:22:13Speaker 4: and you can't tell them that sounds good. I'm not
- 1:22:19Speaker 4: gonna lie. I was kinda I was kind of walked
- 1:22:22Speaker 4: in there, and I honestly did not hear what you said.
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: I did not hear what you said.
- 1:22:27Speaker 5: That's good, that's even better splash. I didn't really understand
- 1:22:31Speaker 5: what you said.
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: That's good. That's a good thing. That is a good thing.
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: Did you did you switch to Deke when you started
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: talking chef?
- 1:22:39Speaker 2: Do you want to be the judge of that? I
- 1:22:41Speaker 2: think I was.
- 1:22:42Speaker 3: I also wasn't looking. We're killing it doesn't know yet.
- 1:22:49Speaker 6: The best part as you don't ever say that, you
- 1:22:51Speaker 6: just say yeah, of course, Yeah, of course, Chris, you licked.
- 1:22:53Speaker 3: Through your teeth. You absolutely admit nothing. Yes, But I'm
- 1:22:57Speaker 3: learning on the fly, which is a good thing.
- 1:23:00Speaker 5: Maybe I do have a problem whenever I press the four,
- 1:23:03Speaker 5: and it's like if I'm talking and then someone else talks,
- 1:23:05Speaker 5: there's a.
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: Severe delay, and you are the machine in you. Yeah,
- 1:23:13Speaker 2: it's hard.
- 1:23:13Speaker 5: It's there's a I like, it's it's nearly deer in
- 1:23:16Speaker 5: the headlights whenever I'm talking and then someone else talks,
- 1:23:19Speaker 5: and then I just I don't even freeze. I just
- 1:23:22Speaker 5: it doesn't I'm not programmed like chef yet, like shout
- 1:23:25Speaker 5: out chef, this is this is difficult.
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: He's got extremely difficult. It is difficult talking. He just
- 1:23:34Speaker 3: switched to me again. And then if I think that
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: Chris would have to switch to me, and if I
- 1:23:39Speaker 3: look at that camera, would he switched to that camera?
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: And if I go back, what he switched back? I
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: don't know. I'm not seeing it, but I hope that
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: Chris is doing that.
- 1:23:46Speaker 2: Poor Chris. Learn it on the fly. You're crushing it, Chris.
- 1:23:50Speaker 2: Appreciate it. Appreciate it. What else do we want?
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: Chef at lead us off?
- 1:23:53Speaker 6: Yeah, I got a new dad. Here from Tea Money
- 1:23:56Speaker 6: on Spotify. Officially joined Papa Team six today Everly Everly,
- 1:24:02Speaker 6: I think, oh no way joined our family on July

- 1:24:31Speaker 2: Oh, okay, ever lay everlay Yeah, Okay, what what was
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: the new dad?
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: Sorry we kind of cut it off. I feel bad.
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: What was the tea money? T money money money money
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: shout out T money, shout out ever Lay? Justin Ferguson
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: yeah or forgossen uh said hey boys, day one listener.
- 1:24:52Speaker 3: I keep on leaving comments on YouTube. Figured i'd try
- 1:24:55Speaker 3: on Spotify. Well it worked, justin. My wife is seven
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: months pregnant, broke her foot.
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: Six weeks ago.
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: God, that's ideal. It has been an absolute grind and
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: a true test on our relationship. I am in the
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: trenches before the baby's even born, and I wouldn't change
- 1:25:12Speaker 3: a thing. Ha'sha good future Ptsiko out God justin dude,
- 1:25:18Speaker 3: that would be hard.
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, Do you have a new dat or is
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: that just no? No, No, I do not have a
- 1:25:23Speaker 2: new Dad. But I got some dad hacks.
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: I know that you both have some good dad hats,
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: so I got one as well, Dad Hack coming in here, Carafone,
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: Repeter Fender, Stephen Carophone for seven.
- 1:25:37Speaker 4: Uh kind of a carry on from a previous episode,
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: Dad Hack. Don't forget the beach wagon.
- 1:25:43Speaker 3: Pop the ketto in there with all the toys and
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: coolers makes it easy to carry and bring things to
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: and from the beach. So we talked about a lot
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: of beach dad ats. The beach wagon put everything in.
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: We we have all these items that are hacks. How
- 1:25:54Speaker 3: are you gonna carry it all? Wagon? Cataphone, Capone and
- 1:25:57Speaker 3: guys when Karafone A because I know that that entire
- 1:26:02Speaker 3: Carafhone a fam because I believe mister and missus Carrafone
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: a righting.
- 1:26:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: Pretty often they are professionals when it comes to the hacks,
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: when it comes to knowledge of what to get. When
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: they say wagon, they are not just talking about any
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: wagon that you can get on Amazon, although those wagons
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: are also acts. Beach wagons have very specific tires because
- 1:26:30Speaker 3: there is no sadder site. Then going on the beach
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: and seeing a dad that did not realize that they
- 1:26:36Speaker 3: needed to get the incredibly fat tired wagons and they
- 1:26:41Speaker 3: have the little teeny weenie wheel, big wagon, teeny weeny
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: thin wheel that gets on the sand and because it
- 1:26:49Speaker 3: doesn't have the surface area instant sync and you just
- 1:26:53Speaker 3: are watching that dad quite literally now just drag that
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: thing three hundred yards to with kids everywhere streaming as
- 1:27:06Speaker 3: you're just sweating your balls off and you're just get
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: the fat tired wagon. Dad hack. You got one?
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: I have one. It's from a Dane. We have a
- 1:27:16Speaker 2: Danish ride in and little dad ack here. His name is.
- 1:27:22Speaker 3: Noom zero A sorry one more time, Nooms.
- 1:27:31Speaker 6: Yes, okay, hey that's what he put to start e
- 1:27:37Speaker 6: y Hey hey, listening on Spotify is kind of a
- 1:27:40Speaker 6: dad hack. It really helps on cutting down the doom
- 1:27:42Speaker 6: scroll time that usually happens on YouTube shorts. Have a
- 1:27:45Speaker 6: great day, guys, Old Martin O Martin, Yeah, Old, I
- 1:27:51Speaker 6: guess it is from Old Martin.
- 1:27:52Speaker 2: I don't know why.
- 1:27:54Speaker 3: User name iss insert audio voice.
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: Chef had Hey, yeah.
- 1:28:00Speaker 3: Old Martin love that say, uh, Brianna Anderson is mine,
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: guessing nationality is the US of A.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: She says, hey for the dads MT six.
- 1:28:14Speaker 3: Or breu here wanting to share a dad hack at
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: my amazing howby Matt discovered plus one hundred degue degree
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: weather in Loadye, California. So she is from the USABA
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: with the sun blazing down on us hot, sweaty emoji
- 1:28:32Speaker 3: sun emoji, and we forgot baby boy's hat. Good, So
- 1:28:36Speaker 3: dad ass sacrifice his head to protect our four month
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: old from the sun rays. So until you make baby hats,
- 1:28:44Speaker 3: I guess Benson can keep rocking dad as winki face
- 1:28:50Speaker 3: hearts floating around the smiley face or the kissy face.
- 1:28:53Speaker 2: Get your merch at bwtv dot com. Godly, Bree, what
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: a plug. I didn't attach the photo tears too, So
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: whenever you get to the end, I look at that.
- 1:29:05Speaker 3: That's incredible.
- 1:29:07Speaker 2: We did.
- 1:29:07Speaker 3: Hey, We've talked, keep going, keep going, We'll look into it.
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: We'll look into it. No free shout outs, uh smoke

- 1:29:39Speaker 3: for a fact her sweet husband was probably sitting there going,
- 1:29:43Speaker 3: I took my I took my dad hat off and
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: gave it to our kid.
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: And you haven't changed your email address?
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: Are you? Kim me? Babe?
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: And now all my friends listening to this show, they're
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: all gonna see that, and they're gonna be like.
- 1:29:57Speaker 3: You're gonna take some dude named Anderson. Yeah, Brie hasn't
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: change your email. Crazy, you didn't tell her to look
- 1:30:04Speaker 3: into that. Jill still uses her old one.
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: That is one of my favorite dad hacks ever.
- 1:30:08Speaker 3: Go to the store. Almost almost just said Jill's email
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: on the show. That would have been really fue what's
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: your social really fun? But yes, those were our new dads.
- 1:30:24Speaker 3: And then I have some PT six community chef. Do
- 1:30:27Speaker 3: you want to kick us off again?
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: Sure?
- 1:30:29Speaker 6: I got Johnny Floor's nine year You guys are effing great.
- 1:30:33Speaker 6: I got a promotion at work, Congratulations, Johnny. I got
- 1:30:36Speaker 6: an office job now and I can listen to podcasts,
- 1:30:39Speaker 6: and I'm new to podcasts in general, but this has
- 1:30:42Speaker 6: been the best show.
- 1:30:43Speaker 2: Johnny.
- 1:30:44Speaker 3: Then Johnny getting up promotion and being excited that you
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: can now rip podcasts at work is awesome.
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: He's definitely a construction guy. Yeah, definitely, you're in the
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: ac mail, Johnny.
- 1:30:55Speaker 4: Nobody can tell you you can't rip sunflower seeds at
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: your desk, Johnny Brother.
- 1:30:59Speaker 3: When I was filling out purchase orders and doing oh,
- 1:31:03Speaker 3: essentially customer care work at that medical device company, shout
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: out al con Man.
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: Did podcast change my life?
- 1:31:13Speaker 6: Man?
- 1:31:13Speaker 2: Did it change my life? Craig Gail?
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: Shout out Craig Gail. He sent an email this is
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: under PT six community. He addressed us as men. Comma
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: loved the show. Wish I had it fifteen years ago
- 1:31:26Speaker 3: when starting, but I'm still learning as a dad of
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: a fifteen, twelve, ten, and eight year old dude. This guy, yeah,
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: this guy knows ball. This guy, Craig. I'll take my
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: hat off for this. One of things not to do
- 1:31:41Speaker 3: and things to do. I've been hesitant to email because
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: of the first words of advice that I have. Every flame,
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: every family dynamic is different. Do what works for you
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: in your situation, Take advice from others and apply with fits.
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: Part of becoming a better parent is going through the
- 1:32:02Speaker 3: years with no advice and figuring out what works for you.
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: Hold on and enjoy the ride. Great advice, great advice.
- 1:32:12Speaker 3: He rips number two. When picking out swimsuits, pick bright
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: colored ones, don't pick the ones that match the color
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: of the pool. This also applies to traveling airports, busy
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: places where you want to be able to locate your
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: kids quickly. Oh this dude knows ball. First I'm hearing
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: it or reading it, But dude know it's ball. Can
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: I read that one again? Yeah, for the people in
- 1:32:38Speaker 3: the back. When picking out swimsuits, pick bright colored ones,
- 1:32:41Speaker 3: don't pick ones that match the color of the pool.
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: This also applies to traveling airports, busy places where you
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: want to be able to locate your kids quickly. Whoa
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: Craig Gail.
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: Number three.
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: Kids will get sick towards the end of the week,
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: usually Friday afternoon, to you can't get them checked in
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: until Monday, and by then they are normal. Brother, hey
- 1:33:10Speaker 3: real quick because he has two more Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:33:13Speaker 3: This is like a quarterback room where like will is
- 1:33:18Speaker 3: the franchise guy that's been here for like a while
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: and is like a really good franchise guy. Like nobody's
- 1:33:25Speaker 3: sitting there saying like he needs to be replaced. I
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: recently just got drafted. You guys are like coaches in
- 1:33:34Speaker 3: the room. I'm the rookie, like the opposite of Brett
- 1:33:36Speaker 3: Varvin Aaron Rogers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And I'm learning from Will.
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: I'm learning from Will. We are the Chiefs quarterback room
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: right now. Yes, that's a good way to put it.
- 1:33:47Speaker 4: We got Patrick Mahomes, Who's Will? I would say, justin
- 1:33:52Speaker 4: fields season, Vet coming in there, I would say, Garrett
- 1:33:55Speaker 4: nus Meyer, just drafted rookie. And then I'll be Chris
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: Aladuken because the Steelers drafted him.
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: I thought you were gonna go back to when Alex
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: Smith was there.
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: That would be a good one too. I was. Now
- 1:34:06Speaker 3: he just called me and Patrick Mahons. I called Will,
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: Patrick Mahomes, I called you just yes, when he brought
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: up that Will's Patrick Mahomes, that was it's the chair.
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: But then Craig Smith is a good one, Craig.
- 1:34:22Speaker 3: Because now he's like the I was saying God to
- 1:34:26Speaker 3: your quarterback that just came into our room and pulled
- 1:34:29Speaker 3: up three things of tape and the entire room fell silent.
- 1:34:33Speaker 6: Yeah, I was saying, Craig was like the Alex Smith
- 1:34:35Speaker 6: and we were and you were like the young You're
- 1:34:37Speaker 6: like the young Patty Mahomes before before the Patty. I'm
- 1:34:41Speaker 6: thinking this is like two thousand and seventeen.
- 1:34:43Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, And he literally just came in, turned
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: on like three clips. Yeah, and the entire room fell silent,
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: and said, holy shit, how do you make it look
- 1:34:53Speaker 3: that easy? Number one overall pick Alex Smith. I mean
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: this that and we saw two to go. When shopping
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: for something that you have no idea where to locate
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: it besides the aisle number, find the price first, then
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: find the item. Wow.
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: I'm gonna be honest, I don't know what he means
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: by that.
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: When shopping for something that you have no idea where
- 1:35:22Speaker 4: to locate it besides the aisle number, so he gots
- 1:35:24Speaker 4: the isle number, find the price first, then find the item.
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: My gut.
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: Tells me that this is a hack for like, there's
- 1:35:33Speaker 3: cheaper options out there than the thing, but if you
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: also look online and you know the price of the thing,
- 1:35:38Speaker 3: you could That's that's one we might need to experiment.
- 1:35:41Speaker 3: Maybe he's just speaking on a higher level that we
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: can't understand.
- 1:35:45Speaker 5: Yeah, or maybe like it's the this could be the
- 1:35:48Speaker 5: career ending injury for Alex Smith, and you know, like
- 1:35:52Speaker 5: you know if.
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: The dad like he has a great career, this is
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: not a this is not a ross.
- 1:35:58Speaker 2: But it's like never mind, he's.
- 1:36:04Speaker 5: Like it's like when the you know, like we're starting off,
- 1:36:07Speaker 5: hott's not and too cold now like that one, We're like, huh,
- 1:36:11Speaker 5: maybe we just don't understand it.
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: Do you think do you think he put it.
- 1:36:14Speaker 3: In there, Chris on purpose for it to have question marks,
- 1:36:19Speaker 3: almost as if to kind of lower some walls and
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: kind of be like, hey, I'm not perfect, not everyone's
- 1:36:27Speaker 3: going to hit. Do you think that's what the intention was.
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: It could be like that, now that you think about it,
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: it could be to make us feel a bit more comfortable.
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: And just like Alex Smith's injury, he did kind of
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: make a comeback, so it was you say, career ending.
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: I just want to say Chris is not terribly wrong,
- 1:36:46Speaker 3: but he did make a comeback. And so I'm excited
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: for the last tack and there is a number five, Deeke,
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: I'm excited last question, when installing shelves, does one recommend
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: using the Milwaukee shock Wave drivers. Unlike Alex Smith, Craig
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: came back on the Super Bowl with number five answers,
- 1:37:07Speaker 3: Yes answers, Yes, you gotta use the Milwaukee Shockwave. He said,
- 1:37:13Speaker 3: keep up the great work and enjoy every day. Craig,
- 1:37:15Speaker 3: thank you so much for spending your time with some
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: young pup dads that have no idea what they're doing putting.
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: Up with our nonsense. That's awesome.
- 1:37:25Speaker 3: I love that you wrote in dude, I love that
- 1:37:27Speaker 3: we have a seasoned dad listen to the show. That's
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: really cool. Thank you, Craig.
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: I got one from Trevor I want to say Larate
- 1:37:36Speaker 2: l A r A d E. Larade, Larade Laride.
- 1:37:41Speaker 4: Hey boys, international fan here only Canada, but still your
- 1:37:44Speaker 4: podcast came up my suggestion list and I was immediately hooked.
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: I'm a police officer in Canada. Thank you.
- 1:37:50Speaker 4: A mounting maybe and let them let me tell you something.
- 1:37:53Speaker 4: You guys make the twelve thirteen, fourteen plus hour shifts
- 1:37:56Speaker 4: go easier. I listened to a recent episode. I decided
- 1:37:59Speaker 4: to start from the beginning, flew through the first three episodes,
- 1:38:02Speaker 4: on my first night shift. Good thing you guys kept
- 1:38:04Speaker 4: those under an hour. Waking up at five am for
- 1:38:08Speaker 4: another twelve hour shift. Dealing with other people's problems good good.
- 1:38:12Speaker 4: Dealing with other people's kids acting up because their parents
- 1:38:14Speaker 4: can't do with them good good.
- 1:38:17Speaker 3: Having a drunk guy try to spit on you while
- 1:38:19Speaker 3: calling you every name under the sun. Good really great,
- 1:38:22Speaker 3: that's ideal. Yeah.
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:38:23Speaker 3: Having to wrestle a husband off his wife ale minutes later,
- 1:38:26Speaker 3: the same wife yelling at you for helping her good
- 1:38:29Speaker 3: good good. Having to talk down to two sixty year
- 1:38:33Speaker 3: old neighbors as they go at it over how the
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: other one cuts their lawn good good good, Well that okay,
- 1:38:41Speaker 3: that actually does that one means?
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, let them fight Trump. Yeah.
- 1:38:44Speaker 4: Having your son tell you he wants your home because
- 1:38:47Speaker 4: you work too much good good. Coming home every a
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: fifteen hour shift to your wife an eight year old
- 1:38:51Speaker 4: arguing over something stupid.
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: That never happens. That good, he made that one up.
- 1:38:56Speaker 4: Telling your wife to just let it go because it's
- 1:38:57Speaker 4: not that big of a deal, and then she yells
- 1:38:59Speaker 4: a good good good disserved all of it, worth it
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: just to go outside, Girlso burgers for the family. Little
- 1:39:07Speaker 4: Man hugs you from behind and tells you he loves
- 1:39:08Speaker 4: you and appreciate how much you put in for everything
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: he needs.
- 1:39:11Speaker 3: Dad Wood good.
- 1:39:14Speaker 4: Keep up the great Pod and Sherman. I just finished
- 1:39:16Speaker 4: the episode where you talked about Scarlett being born. Can't
- 1:39:18Speaker 4: wait to hear the stories from now on. You're gonna
- 1:39:20Speaker 4: be a great dad. Spoiler alert, Trevor, he is a
- 1:39:23Speaker 4: great dad.
- 1:39:24Speaker 3: Oh, come on. PS.
- 1:39:26Speaker 4: The episode I first listened to, Will Real told the
- 1:39:30Speaker 4: story about his grandparents playing chess. Damn it, Maxine, I
- 1:39:33Speaker 4: had to pull over. I was laughing so hard. Much
- 1:39:35Speaker 4: love from your neighbor up north and can't wait to
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: catch up to the most recent pods.
- 1:39:39Speaker 2: Thank you, Trevor. That was awesome, Trevor, Thank you.
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: Mac.
- 1:39:42Speaker 2: You gotta move, gotta move, You gotta move, Mac Mack.
- 1:39:47Speaker 3: Pt Sikos. We interrupt this episode to bring you our
- 1:39:51Speaker 3: favorite Lollipop. But we're gonna mix it up a little
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: bit because I feel like I go off script a
- 1:39:57Speaker 3: lot with Ollipop.
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: I just talk about how much I love.
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: Them, and then I tell you that they're doing the
- 1:40:03Speaker 3: Bye two Get one paid back from Ollipop, and it's
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: just kind of the same thing.
- 1:40:09Speaker 2: Each week.
- 1:40:09Speaker 3: But I actually have an information sheet about this Slaver
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: right here though, is really changing the game for me.
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: It's one of their new ones. It's their Raspberry Schubert.
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: I'm gonna read off some facts about Raspberry Shubert. Thirty calories,
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: six grams of fiber, two grams of sugar. I can
- 1:40:27Speaker 3: have four of these and I would not regret it, Chris,
- 1:40:29Speaker 3: I wouldn't think twice about it. Raspberry Schubert's got that
- 1:40:33Speaker 3: perfect little tang. It's got that perfect little kind of kick,
- 1:40:37Speaker 3: and it almost dances on your tongue. Not pop rock style,
- 1:40:41Speaker 3: but like sparkling style, if that makes sense. It's not
- 1:40:45Speaker 3: too much, it's not overwhelming.
- 1:40:49Speaker 2: We can't say enough about Ollipop and Ollipop.
- 1:40:53Speaker 3: Obviously they take care of us, they're a friend of
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: the show, but they're also doing there by any two
- 1:40:59Speaker 3: cans of Ollipop in store, and they will pay you
- 1:41:02Speaker 3: back for one. And that's on any flavor. We're not
- 1:41:05Speaker 3: just talking about the BlackBerry vanilla or the raspberry Sherbert.
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: The new flavors that can go for anything that's the
- 1:41:12Speaker 3: classic grape, classic, cherry, the ridge rush, you name it,
- 1:41:17Speaker 3: and you can mix it match your flavors. Get any
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: two cans. They will pay you back for one. They
- 1:41:23Speaker 3: are at any retailer, or you can go online to
- 1:41:27Speaker 3: Drinkollipop dot com. Ford Slash bwtb Ollipop is also available
- 1:41:32Speaker 3: on Amazon. It's available in the Sodisle and the Chill
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: Beverages at thousands of retailers nationwide, including Walmart and Target.
- 1:41:41Speaker 3: So guys, go check out Ollipop and go check out
- 1:41:45Speaker 3: the Raspberry Srbert. I love the can. Golly, hey, what
- 1:41:54Speaker 3: else do we have? Is it just lollipop? Do we
- 1:41:57Speaker 3: have another ad read?
- 1:41:59Speaker 6: We do? We?
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: In fact, do we have Lucy?
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: And right here I'm holding Lucy winter Green twelve milligram.
- 1:42:08Speaker 3: Lucy is not the little guy, but the American guy.
- 1:42:12Speaker 3: They're the They're the not Corpo Nicotine, Corpo tobacco company
- 1:42:20Speaker 3: that is hidden and veiled by like a pretty new name,
- 1:42:25Speaker 3: but it has been there the entire time, lurking in
- 1:42:27Speaker 3: the dark.
- 1:42:28Speaker 2: It's Lucy. They're just Lucy.
- 1:42:30Speaker 3: They're not trying to pull anything and pull any fast
- 1:42:33Speaker 3: thing on us. So I'm gonna go ahead and pop
- 1:42:36Speaker 3: a little twelve million in there, and I do not
- 1:42:42Speaker 3: you know, don't try this at home, or maybe do
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: since this is an ad read, but I'm actually going
- 1:42:48Speaker 3: to put two in. Uh, the Winter Green is really nice.
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: They also have the Breakers. I like the Breakers. They
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: have like an extra little juice ball that you can
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: crush with your teeth inside of the pouch once it
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: loses its flavor, or you can crush it right when
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: you put it in. It gives it like a little
- 1:43:11Speaker 3: jolt of flavor. I'm more of a twelve milligram kind
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: of classic nicotine pouch guy, though, So this is what
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: I go with. I have, as I said before, the
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: Winter Green right here. Two of my other favorite flavors though,
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: that I also have here on set with me is
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: the apple ice and the cinnamon. Dude, I never in
- 1:43:33Speaker 3: a million years would have thought cinnamon would be one
- 1:43:35Speaker 3: of my favorite flavors of a pouch to put in.
- 1:43:40Speaker 2: But it like it weirdly, just kind of gives off
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: this aroma of like the morning I like it so much.
- 1:43:46Speaker 3: It's not like the true coffee flavor, but it's like
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: the wake up kind of puts a little pep in
- 1:43:52Speaker 3: your step.
- 1:43:52Speaker 2: It's got a little zing to it. Guys.
- 1:43:56Speaker 3: Lucy is the only pouch that delivers long lasting on
- 1:43:59Speaker 3: demand flavor. You can get twenty percent off your first
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: order when you buy online at Lucy dot co Ford
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: slash FTD. We have our own code boys FTD Huge
- 1:44:15Speaker 3: and again that's Lucy dot co Ford slash FTD. And
- 1:44:20Speaker 3: here comes to fine print. Lucy products are only for

- 1:44:27Speaker 3: Warning this product contains nicotine. Nicotine is an addictive chemical.
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: Let's get back to this episode. This one comes from
- 1:44:39Speaker 3: Christopher McCown. Christopher, unfortunately is from New York, so I'm
- 1:44:48Speaker 3: gonna have to read this in an accident.
- 1:44:50Speaker 6: No.
- 1:44:52Speaker 2: I apologize, it's something that I really didn't want to do.
- 1:44:57Speaker 3: But in the pre production meaning Derek and Chef insisted
- 1:45:02Speaker 3: anything that comes from New York from here on out
- 1:45:05Speaker 3: that I have to read in an accent. And if
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: anybody is upset about that, if that offends anyone, I
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: would just skip through this bart And do you know
- 1:45:16Speaker 3: what they can do? They could reach out to our
- 1:45:19Speaker 3: customer service Rep. Cannon and he'll take care of you.
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: Canon will take care of that. So I'm gonna go ahead.
- 1:45:26Speaker 3: I'm gonna read this, and again, apologies for anybody listening
- 1:45:30Speaker 3: to them. If you are with kids would turn it down.
- 1:45:33Speaker 3: I would turn it down.
- 1:45:34Speaker 2: It's not Zay in a family ship.
- 1:45:38Speaker 3: Hey, probably New York here, I'm walking in Day one
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: listener and a fan of Bussy. I'm pretty much in
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: the same trench as well. I've got a four year
- 1:45:48Speaker 3: old son, Gamden, and a twenty month old daughter CALLI.
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: People constantly asking me are you walking in? People are
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: constantly asking me if we're done have a kids, and
- 1:46:00Speaker 3: honestly if we weren't really sure until we had a
- 1:46:03Speaker 3: recent scare. It's amazing how quickly you can figure out
- 1:46:07Speaker 3: the answer when you're stand down the possibility of a
- 1:46:10Speaker 3: third Needless to say, I think we're done. Naturally, my
- 1:46:14Speaker 3: wife informed me that it's now my turn to do
- 1:46:18Speaker 3: my part to lower the odds and adding another member
- 1:46:21Speaker 3: to the roster. I'm getting snipped here. I need your
- 1:46:25Speaker 3: advice if I'm gonna do this. When is the optimal
- 1:46:29Speaker 3: recovery window first weekend of March Madness, NFL Wildcot weekend,
- 1:46:34Speaker 3: opening weekend of college football or is there an elite
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: vasectomy weekend the only season dads know about, like right
- 1:46:42Speaker 3: before the Macy's Day parade.
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: He and the Big Apple.
- 1:46:49Speaker 3: Also, I've had, there's a mandatory two weeks of bed
- 1:46:52Speaker 3: rest afterward. Can either of you confirm this? I'd like
- 1:46:55Speaker 3: to have a credible source before presenting my recovery plan
- 1:46:59Speaker 3: to my wife. Loved the show. Enjoy Christopher McCown. I
- 1:47:06Speaker 3: like to envision you coming down from the Hulk after
- 1:47:08Speaker 3: these accents. Yeah, oh my god, what happened?
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: Where was? Why are my clothes not fitting anymore?
- 1:47:13Speaker 4: There is that weekend of sports where it's like there's golf,
- 1:47:15Speaker 4: there's I don't even think it's in March, or there's
- 1:47:18Speaker 4: just playoffs, or there's something where like you.
- 1:47:20Speaker 6: Had, we had a weekend it was a major tournament.
- 1:47:23Speaker 6: We had the Stanley Cup final. Oh no, maybe maybe
- 1:47:28Speaker 6: NBA final. Yeah, and then I think like Wimbledon too well.
- 1:47:32Speaker 3: And also look out for those Olympics, dude, look out
- 1:47:35Speaker 3: for those Olympics.
- 1:47:36Speaker 2: World Cup ball on.
- 1:47:38Speaker 3: We have World Cup ball on as well, which would
- 1:47:41Speaker 3: also run when the summer Olympics are usually around that
- 1:47:45Speaker 3: time as well.
- 1:47:46Speaker 2: So if you can, if you really want to slot
- 1:47:49Speaker 2: it in, that would be my You know though, I
- 1:47:52Speaker 2: my advice is that if he's a football.
- 1:47:54Speaker 6: Guy, you just save you save it all for unless
- 1:47:58Speaker 6: you're a sick o for any of these sports, you
- 1:48:00Speaker 6: save it for the fall.
- 1:48:01Speaker 4: Late October is where Google's aiming because you get NFL Underway,
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: NBA and NHL both tipped off the new season, and
- 1:48:09Speaker 4: MLB is playing in the World Series.
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: So that is your sports equinox per Google, that is
- 1:48:16Speaker 2: a good one.
- 1:48:16Speaker 3: And then you also have the summer if there's a
- 1:48:19Speaker 3: Summer Olympics going on to go of like the all
- 1:48:23Speaker 3: the overlaps that we did. And guys, I'm not trying
- 1:48:26Speaker 3: to be crude when I say this, because we've learned
- 1:48:28Speaker 3: this on the show. Vasectomy also implies that this dude's
- 1:48:33Speaker 3: gonna have to come a lot which we did not
- 1:48:36Speaker 3: know before.
- 1:48:38Speaker 4: We had being on the show, a lot of dumps,
- 1:48:41Speaker 4: a lot of guys talking about they still were able
- 1:48:44Speaker 4: to breed after a vseectomy because you need to clear
- 1:48:46Speaker 4: the pipes.
- 1:48:47Speaker 3: You have to clear it is a die or sorry,
- 1:48:51Speaker 3: what do they do when they prescribed It's a prescribed
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: act that you have to do. And so if he
- 1:49:00Speaker 3: did come down to it of like does Jill have
- 1:49:03Speaker 3: to get her stuff done or my stuff done?
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: I think, unfortunately.
- 1:49:11Speaker 3: Really sad to say I might volunteer myself when that
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: time comes, because it doesn't look too bad. I bet
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: it's bad, but I bet it's bad. But also they
- 1:49:24Speaker 3: give birth, so we could could do the one because
- 1:49:27Speaker 3: it's reversible. If you guys ever want to date and
- 1:49:30Speaker 3: it's reversible. Yeah, it's like a little lights which I
- 1:49:33Speaker 3: believe the ladies. That's true. I believe the ladies. One
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: is reversible and correct me if I'm wrong.
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: With work computer. So I'm not going to google it,
- 1:49:41Speaker 2: but we could look it up later.
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: Don't have to google it. Don't have to google it.
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: And Chris, thanks for walking here on the show. And
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: I hope you're not from upstate New York. I hope
- 1:49:52Speaker 3: you're from the City Proper or else. I was just.
- 1:49:57Speaker 2: Really kind of years walking today. He looked off like
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: a meerkat. Oh sorry, Christopher that wrote in Chris, I.
- 1:50:07Speaker 5: Will say I have learned a lot about a vasectomy.
- 1:50:11Speaker 5: Oh god today, what do you know?
- 1:50:13Speaker 3: Yeah? What's going on? Chris?
- 1:50:14Speaker 5: I didn't realize you just have to Like, I just
- 1:50:18Speaker 5: learned the whole thing. Like I have not looked that
- 1:50:21Speaker 5: up at all. I know, guys, get do you have
- 1:50:23Speaker 5: any specifics? Yeah, I just didn't realize you had to
- 1:50:26Speaker 5: clean the pipes. I didn't realize.
- 1:50:28Speaker 3: I thought it was just like, uh, there's still goods
- 1:50:30Speaker 3: in there, Chris, you have to clean the pipes. I'm
- 1:50:34Speaker 3: not I'm not joking, Like this is the actual medical data.
- 1:50:38Speaker 3: You have to clean the pipes, like sixty times. If
- 1:50:41Speaker 3: here's here's a good one. Johnny Manzel Jerseys eventually can't
- 1:50:46Speaker 3: be sold by Texas anymore because he doesn't play there,
- 1:50:49Speaker 3: but they still have an inventory, Chris, that we have
- 1:50:51Speaker 3: to get rid of.
- 1:50:53Speaker 5: Now you're speaking, Now, you're speaking ball knowledge. This makes
- 1:50:58Speaker 5: a ton of sense. Now I see what you got.
- 1:51:00Speaker 5: You gotta clear it all out, even if it's stuff
- 1:51:04Speaker 5: that you just want it.
- 1:51:05Speaker 3: You're not going to make new ones.
- 1:51:06Speaker 5: Yeah, there's no new ones coming. This makes sense. This
- 1:51:11Speaker 5: is this is This is a twenty one year old's language.
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: So when your parents ask, hey, son, what did you
- 1:51:17Speaker 3: learn on your internship with Busting with the boys, you
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: have a great answer for mom and dad.
- 1:51:23Speaker 2: Start with that one.
- 1:51:24Speaker 3: I would start with that one. I'm just going through
- 1:51:28Speaker 3: my list of Uh oh, crack a cold one. Sure,
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: did we want to jump in? No, there is a
- 1:51:33Speaker 3: topic that the three of us need to discuss. But
- 1:51:35Speaker 3: let's do crack a cold one first? Okay, perfect crack
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: a cold one? Brought to us by Lollipop. I have
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: a raspberry Subert Deeck has a raspberry Sugbert so good.
- 1:51:45Speaker 3: Chef has a crisp apple.
- 1:51:47Speaker 2: And what else you got? Cracked it?
- 1:51:48Speaker 3: If anyone hurd it like, no, you're that's a little
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: strawberry vanilla. I believe over there delightful flavors.
- 1:51:55Speaker 2: Uh, what are you cracking too?
- 1:51:57Speaker 3: I'm cracking to Scarlet's learning all the tricks. M Scarlet's
- 1:52:03Speaker 3: learning all the tricks. It is almost to a point.
- 1:52:06Speaker 2: It is not yet.
- 1:52:08Speaker 3: I want to emphasize when next time you I'll see Scarlett.
- 1:52:12Speaker 3: If I have not given you the okay, please do
- 1:52:14Speaker 3: not say Sherman run through the cycle. We're not ready
- 1:52:18Speaker 3: for the cycle yet, but I'll give you the cycle
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: of tricks that Scarlet is getting so close to be
- 1:52:25Speaker 3: ready to perform.
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: Four others.
- 1:52:29Speaker 3: Yay yay and she Yay's her favorite. Yay is ready
- 1:52:36Speaker 3: for the stage. She was doing that at my wedding shower.
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: She was pretty on command, which I'll impressed about. Yay
- 1:52:43Speaker 3: yay is ready for the stage. We've got ya down.
- 1:52:47Speaker 3: How big is baby so big. We're three for ten.
- 1:52:54Speaker 3: We're three for ten with how big is baby so big?
- 1:52:57Speaker 3: Hall of Fame baseball player. And that's a Miss Rachel original.
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: That's a Miss Rachel original. High five, high five? High
- 1:53:09Speaker 3: Five's ready for the stage. God, that high five's.
- 1:53:12Speaker 2: Ready for the stage. And she loves high five. It
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: makes her laugh so hard.
- 1:53:21Speaker 6: La La.
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: Is ready for the stage.
- 1:53:26Speaker 3: It is wild how much she does it on her now.
- 1:53:30Speaker 3: And it's hilarious driving in the car when her backs
- 1:53:33Speaker 3: to me and I just hear a she loves that one.
- 1:53:40Speaker 3: Bye bye, five for ten, six for ten, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:53:47Speaker 3: not ready for the stage. Hi Hi, big time saying
- 1:53:55Speaker 3: hi to everybody. She doesn't like doing it on command
- 1:53:57Speaker 3: though she's about four for ten on out in public now, dude,
- 1:54:03Speaker 3: it is so funny. Everybody talks about Toddler's pointing.
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: Oh my god.
- 1:54:09Speaker 3: Well, all they do on demand is performative and Scarlett
- 1:54:12Speaker 3: is a genuine person. So and she won.
- 1:54:17Speaker 2: I can tell that she means it now. She knows
- 1:54:20Speaker 2: what it is. And we were walking into uh daycare
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: the other day and it was a full on point
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: like this with one finger going like this to a
- 1:54:30Speaker 2: mom and.
- 1:54:30Speaker 3: A baby in the parking lot and she went ha ha.
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: I was like, we missed something there we go we
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: didn't Yeah, we didn't say hi to them, and I went, yeah,
- 1:54:40Speaker 3: that's right, Hi Hi. And she's doing it in the airport, dude, crawl, crawl, crawled,
- 1:54:48Speaker 3: look up, see random person, ha ha, and start going
- 1:54:54Speaker 3: like that and you're like, oh my god, you're awesome.
- 1:54:56Speaker 3: God that rips in my personal favorite drum roll Please.
- 1:55:03Speaker 3: I knows the fakes knees and knows it well and
- 1:55:09Speaker 3: it almost gets the same last laugh as Peekaboo. That's
- 1:55:13Speaker 3: a playbook. And she does it back to you and
- 1:55:16Speaker 3: giggles at herself doing it, and you can go and
- 1:55:21Speaker 3: she starts giggling and she'll giggle, giggle, giggle, and then
- 1:55:24Speaker 3: she'll get it together and she'll go, this is her
- 1:55:28Speaker 3: fake knees. I oh, dude, I just want to squeeze.
- 1:55:36Speaker 3: That's a foundation. Oh those are good moves. Thank you, dude.
- 1:55:40Speaker 3: That's a playbook that you can.
- 1:55:41Speaker 2: Be proud of.
- 1:55:42Speaker 3: We have a really good cycle going and I wanted
- 1:55:45Speaker 3: to throw it out to y'all. Is there anything else
- 1:55:48Speaker 3: that I should be introducing? Fis Bump was only introduced
- 1:55:53Speaker 3: last night, where I go yeah, mom, fist bump, and
- 1:55:57Speaker 3: I have fist bumped Jill, and Jill will be like, hey, dad,
- 1:56:00Speaker 3: spump because we like to do it in front of Sure,
- 1:56:02Speaker 3: Sure she picks you, get the audio cue going, and
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: then start doing it with her.
- 1:56:07Speaker 6: Have you have you shown her like a good like
- 1:56:10Speaker 6: little like single finger, like tickle like Gucci and then
- 1:56:14Speaker 6: where they like either I don't know how she reacts,
- 1:56:16Speaker 6: either they love it or will freak out.
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: It's a very vulneratible move. Now I'm talking about like
- 1:56:21Speaker 3: a little a little get you there is okay, do
- 1:56:26Speaker 3: you bring up a good point?
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: Now?
- 1:56:27Speaker 2: She doesn't do this to anyone else, but she knows
- 1:56:31Speaker 2: that we got her.
- 1:56:32Speaker 3: When I might come over and illustrate it with you, Deeke,
- 1:56:36Speaker 3: that's okay, Chris, let us know when I am in front,
- 1:56:42Speaker 3: I'm heading over to deep now I am receiving sherm okay,
- 1:56:47Speaker 3: am I scarlet? You're you're a scarlet?
- 1:56:50Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:56:50Speaker 3: Are we both in frame?
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: We're good. We're using camp two.
- 1:56:53Speaker 3: We're using camp oh right here, yes, the wide okay,
- 1:56:57Speaker 3: so this is scarlet, so arm bo, it's game over.
- 1:57:03Speaker 3: She's already giggling like, just just this right here, she
- 1:57:09Speaker 3: knows what's coming, and then it's just a little that
- 1:57:13Speaker 3: would ruin me. She loses it every time that ruins me.
- 1:57:17Speaker 3: Tickling is my Oh? Oh get it for heard though?
- 1:57:20Speaker 2: When we when we ripped the arm up. Oh, he
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: already knows what's coming. Chris, what Chris?
- 1:57:26Speaker 3: Something?
- 1:57:27Speaker 2: Okay?
- 1:57:28Speaker 5: Back in Texas, I mean we my dad just had
- 1:57:31Speaker 5: us jumping off the stairs and that was our entertainment,
- 1:57:34Speaker 5: like and he'd catch us like we would just he
- 1:57:37Speaker 5: did drop me. Okay, Dad, you did drop me once
- 1:57:40Speaker 5: or twice. But was it like child endangerment? You want
- 1:57:43Speaker 5: him to drop his daughter?
- 1:57:44Speaker 6: No?
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: Oh no, not his daughter.
- 1:57:46Speaker 5: Like the games we would play like you're talking about,
- 1:57:48Speaker 5: like fist bumps, high fives, and like we would just
- 1:57:50Speaker 5: jump off the stairs like we want to.
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: Like it was just me and my one when this
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: was happening.
- 1:57:56Speaker 3: You just turned one.
- 1:57:57Speaker 2: It was like it was a young age. You just had,
- 1:58:00Speaker 2: like you're under the c one year old birthday party
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: before your dad dropped you. No, I know I was
- 1:58:06Speaker 2: a dinosaur guy, but no, but now now as a
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: one year old.
- 1:58:10Speaker 5: No, but he did, like the I'm thinking like he did,
- 1:58:14Speaker 5: like he'd be like this monster and he would he
- 1:58:17Speaker 5: would he would be in the back of the room
- 1:58:19Speaker 5: and he'd be like, oh, like and he'd like smack
- 1:58:22Speaker 5: his like knees and like hands and then he would
- 1:58:26Speaker 5: just like it was like the tickle monster, That's what
- 1:58:28Speaker 5: it was. And then now come up and yeah, yeah,
- 1:58:30Speaker 5: and then he'd like come up in the couch and
- 1:58:32Speaker 5: you had to try and eskate, but then he.
- 1:58:34Speaker 2: Just like grab. Nickle monster is the the that's a
- 1:58:37Speaker 2: good one, tickle Monster. I'm with you on that one, now, Chris.
- 1:58:40Speaker 4: Tickle monster is one that like you identify the fact
- 1:58:43Speaker 4: that there is a tickle monster and the tickle monster
- 1:58:46Speaker 4: is going to get her.
- 1:58:47Speaker 2: I agree with Chris.
- 1:58:49Speaker 5: And then the last one was we rode the bowl
- 1:58:53Speaker 5: like it was like he'd get worse. And then that
- 1:58:56Speaker 5: that one is now we're cooking. Yeah, that's a good one.
- 1:59:00Speaker 6: More chef, what do you have the acting like a
- 1:59:03Speaker 6: giant doing the thief fun with every step and then
- 1:59:07Speaker 6: you know, like oh shit, they give you a tap
- 1:59:10Speaker 6: or something, you go.
- 1:59:13Speaker 3: Yeah, and you fall you just fall away, And that
- 1:59:17Speaker 3: that is a really good one, the one that with
- 1:59:20Speaker 3: the giant thing. Yeah, holding babies hands with their feet
- 1:59:26Speaker 3: on top of you on your feet and doing the
- 1:59:28Speaker 3: giant stopping, also maintaining eye contact with Scarlet as Mom
- 1:59:34Speaker 3: is carrying her out of the room. I'll get like
- 1:59:37Speaker 3: an angle to where when she's like turning the corner,
- 1:59:41Speaker 3: I'm going to the wide part of the room so
- 1:59:43Speaker 3: we can maintain eye contact, and I'm like smiling at her,
- 1:59:46Speaker 3: and She'll be getting carried off by Mom but looking
- 1:59:49Speaker 3: over your shoulder and still seeing that I'm looking at her.
- 1:59:53Speaker 3: She thinks that's so funny that I'm like purposely trying
- 1:59:57Speaker 3: to maintain eye contact with her as she's leaving the room.
- 2:00:01Speaker 2: And then also I wouldn't call it peekaboo. Okay, I
- 2:00:04Speaker 2: got three written down. Pikaboo's one of the shows.
- 2:00:06Speaker 3: Okay, okay, Peekaboo is that was number one game? Okay,
- 2:00:11Speaker 3: like that was the first one she ever learned. I
- 2:00:14Speaker 3: come out from behind walls doing a different goofy walk
- 2:00:19Speaker 3: or face or thing, and then I go back behind
- 2:00:23Speaker 3: the wall and then I come back out.
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: Got it that.
- 2:00:26Speaker 4: I don't know what that one is called, but Scarlett
- 2:00:29Speaker 4: loves that. The other one, so Pikaboo's one I'm curious about.
- 2:00:32Speaker 4: Another one is Patty Cake. Where are we at with that.
- 2:00:34Speaker 4: Did you have patty cake? As do you guys have
- 2:00:36Speaker 4: patty cake?
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:00:37Speaker 3: Okay, thank you? And then raspberries? Oh yeah, you know
- 2:00:43Speaker 3: that one. So yes, but I'm saying, where are we
- 2:00:46Speaker 3: at with it? Oh yeah, that that's in the arsenal,
- 2:00:49Speaker 3: that's ready for the money on demand on want to
- 2:00:52Speaker 3: check in?
- 2:00:52Speaker 2: And also the demon voice is still there.
- 2:00:55Speaker 3: Good, and that's ideal.
- 2:00:57Speaker 2: She doesn't do it on her own anymore. Like she
- 2:01:00Speaker 2: really tries to talk now.
- 2:01:02Speaker 3: Sure, she's like pointing at things and and going like
- 2:01:06Speaker 3: don no, no, and we're like, yeah, Scarlet, that's right, honey,
- 2:01:13Speaker 3: that's a good point.
- 2:01:15Speaker 2: And she stopped doing the like because she was doing
- 2:01:19Speaker 2: that for a long time. Oh yeah.
- 2:01:21Speaker 3: But if I'm like hanging out with her and we're
- 2:01:23Speaker 3: just having a normal conversation and then I go like,
- 2:01:27Speaker 3: I love you, Scarlet, She'll start going, well, well, little
- 2:01:32Speaker 3: house bunny, uh huh. Yes, No, truly, I love that.
- 2:01:36Speaker 3: I tried to text Will to see if it was
- 2:01:38Speaker 3: a good time to call him, because I want to
- 2:01:42Speaker 3: introduce to him.
- 2:01:45Speaker 2: That we were going through things to teach our kids.
- 2:01:48Speaker 4: Yeah, and we can talk about the thing I was
- 2:01:51Speaker 4: going to bring up about Will until he calls us
- 2:01:52Speaker 4: if you'd like, Oh, go ahead, go ahead, Yeah.
- 2:01:54Speaker 3: I mean breaking news.
- 2:01:55Speaker 4: Will did not take out the garbage, nor did he
- 2:01:57Speaker 4: help his wife change attire, and I think we got
- 2:02:01Speaker 4: to discuss it now. We can also discuss the context
- 2:02:05Speaker 4: hundred three degree fever, swollen sweaty strip, Tococcus strepto caccus
- 2:02:11Speaker 4: love Will get that. We asked some follow up questions.
- 2:02:15Speaker 4: Did he helped teach Charlie to change a tire? Did
- 2:02:18Speaker 4: she already know?
- 2:02:18Speaker 2: We don't know. He told us to discuss on the pod.
- 2:02:20Speaker 4: But Will has missed the trash due to strip to
- 2:02:23Speaker 4: caucus and missed an opportunity to help his wire who
- 2:02:27Speaker 4: had a flat tire. We would be a bad podcast
- 2:02:30Speaker 4: if we didn't talk about this.
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: My favorite part of it was the let me pull
- 2:02:37Speaker 2: up this text where he said, if.
- 2:02:40Speaker 3: Y'all, if y'all don't mind going first, I just need
- 2:02:43Speaker 3: a second. Yeah, need a second absorbing the information or
- 2:02:46Speaker 3: to gather your thoughts both okay and not and not.
- 2:02:53Speaker 3: I'm coming alongside my friend. I just want everybody to
- 2:02:56Speaker 3: know that I'm coming alongside my friend.
- 2:02:58Speaker 2: I did this. Yeah.
- 2:03:01Speaker 6: I love the text chain that he sent Charlie caught
- 2:03:05Speaker 6: a flat tire today due to strep throat. I was
- 2:03:08Speaker 6: not able to be the man she married last week.
- 2:03:11Speaker 6: Mow in the yard this week. I don't change flat
- 2:03:13Speaker 6: tires down a couple, he said, Willie one shelf, Willy
- 2:03:17Speaker 6: don't mow, Willy flat tire.
- 2:03:19Speaker 3: The evidence is adding up. Thank you, chef, because that
- 2:03:21Speaker 3: was it. It was the mow, not the garbage. Will
- 2:03:23Speaker 3: does not mow his lawn, which he got Flag four
- 2:03:26Speaker 3: on the bus. My official statement about this all is
- 2:03:30Speaker 3: that when you are sick to that level, things happen.
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: Yeah, and I.
- 2:03:36Speaker 3: Had.
- 2:03:36Speaker 4: I don't think I had strapped. I had what Will
- 2:03:38Speaker 4: had at the beginning on fourth. And I can promise
- 2:03:40Speaker 4: you my wonderful fiance will not change tires. She is
- 2:03:46Speaker 4: incapable of the action. Would be my guest, not to
- 2:03:49Speaker 4: her fault, but just based on life, I would have
- 2:03:53Speaker 4: had to order her an uber that day. There was
- 2:03:55Speaker 4: no shot. I would have left bed to help her out.
- 2:03:57Speaker 4: So I very much am on the of Willy one's shelf,
- 2:04:01Speaker 4: Willy flat tire. Willie Nomo, I think that shit happens,
- 2:04:07Speaker 4: And you know what, he's mad enough to admit it.
- 2:04:10Speaker 3: That was the first point, I was going to bring
- 2:04:11Speaker 3: out the authenticity shown there, the accountability that he is
- 2:04:23Speaker 3: seeking in that moment by sharing that with us, vulnerability,
- 2:04:26Speaker 3: the vulnerability that he's displaying. But I will say this,
- 2:04:32Speaker 3: that was not the man that Charo married. There are
- 2:04:36Speaker 3: sometimes where Jilly Bean is not the woman that I married,
- 2:04:40Speaker 3: Nor am I the man that she married? Okay, and
- 2:04:44Speaker 3: there are times where I have to step up, and
- 2:04:47Speaker 3: we've talked about that on this show of Oh Jilly Bean.
- 2:04:52Speaker 2: Was out, Charo was out.
- 2:04:55Speaker 3: We had to step up. We patted ourselves on the
- 2:04:57Speaker 3: back because we crushed. Imagine the mom circle that Charo
- 2:05:03Speaker 3: is sitting in this week. Next week where Charroo gets
- 2:05:07Speaker 3: to tell the girls about how she took the trash out.
- 2:05:11Speaker 3: She was changing the tire. You should have seen me operating.
- 2:05:16Speaker 3: And now I know that there might be some people
- 2:05:18Speaker 3: in that circle going, well, why is your deadbeat husband
- 2:05:21Speaker 3: doing what the hell you had to do anything. Charle's
- 2:05:25Speaker 3: not sitting there thinking that I'm not a badass before.
- 2:05:29Speaker 3: She's a badass too.
- 2:05:30Speaker 2: She's a badass.
- 2:05:31Speaker 3: And the fact he shared a photo of her next
- 2:05:35Speaker 3: to tire that she changed its bro She's proud, She's
- 2:05:40Speaker 3: ripid shad that donut on to.
- 2:05:41Speaker 6: Smile big, my chef, Big, I'll put it up. If
- 2:05:44Speaker 6: they want me to put it up. I'm gonna ask.
- 2:05:46Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we'll ask. We'll ask.
- 2:05:47Speaker 4: But she looked at somebody that she had the same
- 2:05:51Speaker 4: energy as somebody that stands next to a giant rhinoceros
- 2:05:54Speaker 4: that they just hunted.
- 2:05:55Speaker 3: Sorry it's a bad one, Ivory, a giant legal animal
- 2:05:58Speaker 3: they just hunt, yeah, legal, a white tail deer and
- 2:06:02Speaker 3: ted a large tuna, if you will, a large tuna.
- 2:06:06Speaker 3: You had that same glisten. And I will say this,
- 2:06:10Speaker 3: that is the equivalent of me sending a photo, and
- 2:06:14Speaker 3: I'm being dead serious, me sending a photo to Jill
- 2:06:18Speaker 3: of an outfit that I picked out for Scarlet, putting
- 2:06:22Speaker 3: Scarlet's hair up in a single pony with the little
- 2:06:26Speaker 3: see through rubber band. Y'all know what I'm talking about.
- 2:06:29Speaker 3: Dad's at home and finding not the bow that I
- 2:06:33Speaker 3: would think would be the bow to put on there,
- 2:06:36Speaker 3: because there's like summer bows and winter bows and stuff.
- 2:06:38Speaker 3: I don't know. I don't know the boats, But thinking
- 2:06:40Speaker 3: in my mind, what would Jill do, what would Yill do?
- 2:06:43Speaker 3: What would y'll do? Getting the right bow to match
- 2:06:46Speaker 3: the outfit and then sending a picture to Jill and saying,
- 2:06:51Speaker 3: look who fucked around and found out.
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: Look what Papa did.
- 2:06:55Speaker 3: Charles sitting there going look what Mama did. And so
- 2:07:00Speaker 3: shout out, chorro shout out and shout out Will for
- 2:07:04Speaker 3: for for being vulnerable. I have a question, transparent, if
- 2:07:12Speaker 3: you will oh, this could put my busting career well
- 2:07:18Speaker 3: in jeopardy. You're gone Friday, right, Yeah, but well there
- 2:07:22Speaker 3: is next summer. Though he's only a junior in college.
- 2:07:24Speaker 5: He wants to be a shirm turn But and I
- 2:07:27Speaker 5: know Will's from Nebraska. Oh no, But does Will know
- 2:07:30Speaker 5: how to change a tire?
- 2:07:34Speaker 2: I'm just sick.
- 2:07:36Speaker 5: He doesn't necessarily strike me currently to be the guy
- 2:07:41Speaker 5: that could change a tire, But I have no doubt
- 2:07:49Speaker 5: in his high school days like he could do it.
- 2:07:51Speaker 5: You know, Dee did teach us how to change a tire.
- 2:07:54Speaker 5: But I feel like it could change a little bit,
- 2:07:56Speaker 5: like over time, like it's a skilly.
- 2:07:57Speaker 2: Do you think he tires change over time?
- 2:07:59Speaker 4: Well, I'm yes. Have you seen cars in the eighties
- 2:08:02Speaker 4: versus now? But I think you think I was alive
- 2:08:05Speaker 4: in the eighties. Do you think Will was changing tires
- 2:08:07Speaker 4: in the eighties. I don't know well I can help
- 2:08:09Speaker 4: people their age, he said, and asked the captain of
- 2:08:13Speaker 4: this ship. You asked the crewmen of this ship, if
- 2:08:17Speaker 4: the captain, who is in bed with scurvy, if you will.
- 2:08:23Speaker 3: Can just fix a little sail, Chris. I'm just saying
- 2:08:27Speaker 3: I think he can. Can he It's what you do
- 2:08:31Speaker 3: when people aren't looking. That's what they always say. It's
- 2:08:33Speaker 3: what you do when people aren't looking. So here's here's
- 2:08:36Speaker 3: what I'm gonna say. Okay, I'm not going to stand
- 2:08:40Speaker 3: for this shit. I'm not going to stand for this bullshit.
- 2:08:44Speaker 3: Not only can Will Compton change a tire, he can
- 2:08:46Speaker 3: do it with his right arm tied behind his back.
- 2:08:49Speaker 3: He could do it blindfolded in his sleep. He's he's
- 2:08:52Speaker 3: gone out and started generacks with headlamps.
- 2:08:57Speaker 2: On at nine.
- 2:08:58Speaker 3: He's held it down on his street, part of the
- 2:09:01Speaker 3: ho a, protecting his house starring ice storms.
- 2:09:05Speaker 2: He's leaf blowing snow out of his trees, out of
- 2:09:08Speaker 2: his flower beds.
- 2:09:10Speaker 3: He's he's putting up one shelf, one shelf in his
- 2:09:14Speaker 3: daughter's bedroom to r them all, one shelf to rule
- 2:09:17Speaker 3: them off. Will Compton could change all four tires. Will
- 2:09:22Speaker 3: Compton could change the little oil. Will Compton can do
- 2:09:25Speaker 3: it all, and I will not stand for this ship.
- 2:09:29Speaker 3: And I'm pissed off. I'm pissed Chef. Could you tell
- 2:09:32Speaker 3: Chris we're not talking to him anymore?
- 2:09:35Speaker 5: Hey, Chris, I think your time your limit is up?
- 2:09:38Speaker 5: Should I just like get up and walk out the door?
- 2:09:40Speaker 6: Is it?
- 2:09:41Speaker 3: Is it? No?
- 2:09:41Speaker 2: Because Chris?
- 2:09:43Speaker 3: Do you know what the A gap is?
- 2:09:46Speaker 2: I know what the game. You know what it feels
- 2:09:48Speaker 2: like to eat out of a fucking tube? Brother? Do
- 2:09:51Speaker 2: you know what Will Compton could do to you? Ten
- 2:09:55Speaker 2: years in the NFL and.
- 2:09:57Speaker 3: Y'all left out a team, The Saints focked out two teams,
- 2:10:02Speaker 3: the Falcons too. He Will Compton? Can't he change a tire?
- 2:10:08Speaker 3: I'm offended? Will Crazy change a tire? Yes?
- 2:10:12Speaker 2: He can?
- 2:10:12Speaker 3: And I'm gonna come in here one day. I'm gonna
- 2:10:14Speaker 3: knife my tire. I'm gonna knife my own tire. I'm
- 2:10:17Speaker 3: gonna go up to my desk and Will's gonna come in.
- 2:10:20Speaker 3: He's gonna say, hey, good morning, sherman, here's a coffee.
- 2:10:23Speaker 3: Saw your tired. Somebody slashed your tire. It's probably that
- 2:10:26Speaker 3: fucker that wrote in the thing about the accents. Probably
- 2:10:30Speaker 3: found our office slashed your tire, went ahead, I had
- 2:10:33Speaker 3: an extra spare. I looked out the specs, I saw
- 2:10:36Speaker 3: that fit your truck, and I changed it for you.
- 2:10:39Speaker 3: That's the kind of man Will Compton is. And what
- 2:10:44Speaker 3: do you have against Nebraska? You son of a bitch?
- 2:10:46Speaker 3: He said, he's from Nebraska, GV.
- 2:10:48Speaker 2: So can he change a tire?
- 2:10:50Speaker 3: Oh? Well no, I think I think he was saying
- 2:10:52Speaker 3: it would be even worse. No, I don't credit No,
- 2:10:57Speaker 3: I don't either.
- 2:10:58Speaker 2: Now, yeah, what do you.
- 2:10:59Speaker 3: Mean, would you?
- 2:11:00Speaker 2: I was with what do you mean?
- 2:11:02Speaker 5: I was with sherm on like his stance, Like I
- 2:11:05Speaker 5: was saying, like being from Nebraska, it's like it would
- 2:11:07Speaker 5: be even more embarrassing to not be No, don't take.
- 2:11:10Speaker 3: Just use it as your say. No, that was you.
- 2:11:12Speaker 4: You didn't even use that wordage exactly, that verbiage, but
- 2:11:15Speaker 4: it was the same thing, but it was different.
- 2:11:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm just saying that I think it would you know,
- 2:11:21Speaker 5: I didn't know, you know, sure, Will's been gone for
- 2:11:23Speaker 5: a little bit. He didn't celebrate the fourth of July
- 2:11:25Speaker 5: in the United States. Okay, we're done, we're done. We're
- 2:11:31Speaker 5: we're not turn your chair round. These are hallowed grounds.
- 2:11:35Speaker 5: This is the house that Will Compton.
- 2:11:37Speaker 3: Turn your chair around, speaking of busting with the boys,
- 2:11:39Speaker 3: speaking of for the Deaths as a house he built Nashville.
- 2:11:42Speaker 3: And so you're gonna one. You're gonna come in and
- 2:11:44Speaker 3: ask him if he hey, does he know how to
- 2:11:46Speaker 3: change a tire? No bad questions in a brainstorm, No
- 2:11:50Speaker 3: bad ideas on brainstorm. Just saw my first one. Then
- 2:11:53Speaker 3: you're gonna follow through with didn't even celebrate uh, the
- 2:11:57Speaker 3: two hundred and fiftieth birth.
- 2:11:59Speaker 2: Of our Oh I have one two shir Didn't he
- 2:12:03Speaker 2: just play special teams on this show?
- 2:12:09Speaker 6: No?
- 2:12:09Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no, not on this show,
- 2:12:12Speaker 2: not on Will Compton's show. Okay, he was. He was
- 2:12:16Speaker 2: doing foreign affairs, foreign.
- 2:12:21Speaker 3: He was preserving our freedom. He was preserving our democracy,
- 2:12:28Speaker 3: our right to have the freedom of speech, to bare arms.
- 2:12:32Speaker 3: Can't drink ollipop, Chris, And he's over there making them
- 2:12:36Speaker 3: drink ollipop. Do you make me? He said, Hey, Ausha,
- 2:12:40Speaker 3: ever heard of democracy? Hey Argentina, I say we we
- 2:12:49Speaker 3: move on. We've talked enough. We talked enough about chef voicemails.
- 2:12:54Speaker 2: Yeah, let's do we love you will?
- 2:13:00Speaker 3: Yeah, three of us right before we hop into that
- 2:13:04Speaker 3: survival kid. Oh yeah, it's past.
- 2:13:08Speaker 2: It's past due that I shout this out.
- 2:13:11Speaker 3: Let's past.
- 2:13:13Speaker 2: Nuna Nuna, Dude.
- 2:13:17Speaker 3: They do car seats, they do carriers, they do strollers,
- 2:13:25Speaker 3: they do all types of stuff. Okay, Jill and I
- 2:13:28Speaker 3: only have like one or two of like their tons
- 2:13:33Speaker 3: and tons of products.
- 2:13:37Speaker 1: Uh.
- 2:13:38Speaker 3: I'm not saying that they're the end all be all
- 2:13:41Speaker 3: and if you don't have a Nuna, you don't have
- 2:13:42Speaker 3: the right thing. That's not what I'm saying. I just
- 2:13:45Speaker 3: want to do a shout out, no free shout out
- 2:13:48Speaker 3: of a brand that's out there doing it like nobody
- 2:13:52Speaker 3: else's business. We get zero money from Nuna, Okay. Nuna
- 2:13:58Speaker 3: is probably like, if not the priciest, it's one of
- 2:14:01Speaker 3: the priceier manufacturers of these types of items. Okay, But
- 2:14:07Speaker 3: when you get one of them, dude, it's like how
- 2:14:10Speaker 3: people used to talk about Cadillac Man. And I'm being serious, Like,
- 2:14:15Speaker 3: pushing a Nuna stroller compared to pushing another stroller, it's
- 2:14:20Speaker 3: a joke. Yeah, it's a joke. The car seats, how
- 2:14:25Speaker 3: you're able to click in so easily, the three sixty
- 2:14:29Speaker 3: capability of the car seats, I'm sure, dude, there's gonna
- 2:14:32Speaker 3: be so many comments that our people are gonna be like,
- 2:14:35Speaker 3: but Sherman, what about but Sherman, what about but Sherman,
- 2:14:38Speaker 3: this company does that, But Sherman, this one's actually better.
- 2:14:40Speaker 2: Hey, I get that. I get that, and there probably is.
- 2:14:44Speaker 2: But from what I know, which is not a whole lot.
- 2:14:47Speaker 3: But I'm a dad in the trenches and I'm seeing
- 2:14:49Speaker 3: all the shit they haven't missed once, is all I'm saying.
- 2:14:53Speaker 4: I'm floored that hasn't been a survival kit with how
- 2:14:58Speaker 4: much you guys have talked about it, and to your
- 2:15:00Speaker 4: point about price pointing, Like I understand everyone every family
- 2:15:03Speaker 4: has their price put it went out, but this is
- 2:15:04Speaker 4: the one thing I would assume parents want to pay
- 2:15:08Speaker 4: more for the car seat, the shoulder. Like the universe
- 2:15:12Speaker 4: of things is so yeah, everything there, I mean, there's
- 2:15:14Speaker 4: always everyone has their.
- 2:15:15Speaker 2: Loyalty for things. But this show, since I've started, this
- 2:15:19Speaker 2: was the first place I heard of NUNA and.
- 2:15:20Speaker 3: That would be my dad hack too, of like, if
- 2:15:23Speaker 3: you need to save up, because Jill and I have,
- 2:15:26Speaker 3: like we've we've seen the price points and of course
- 2:15:30Speaker 3: there's the dad hacks of oh put it on the
- 2:15:31Speaker 3: registry for the baby shower and all that stuff and
- 2:15:34Speaker 3: like or to put a you know, hey, we're looking
- 2:15:38Speaker 3: to get a nice car seat fund and people add
- 2:15:40Speaker 3: to it for the shower whatever, to like get a
- 2:15:42Speaker 3: little bit of help worth it, dude, especially for the
- 2:15:45Speaker 3: first kiddo. Yeah, because then guess what, Baby number two
- 2:15:48Speaker 3: is gonna come and they're gonna need a car seat.
- 2:15:51Speaker 3: In Nuna's car seat, although messy and covered with formula
- 2:15:55Speaker 3: and milk and snacks were in the baby before, it's
- 2:15:59Speaker 3: gonna be just as good, dude, because it's a high
- 2:16:01Speaker 3: quality product. And I stamped my seal of my father's
- 2:16:06Speaker 3: seal of approval like I've never stamped before on a
- 2:16:10Speaker 3: product than just Nuna products.
- 2:16:13Speaker 2: And they just look nice.
- 2:16:14Speaker 3: Dude. You feel all fancy and bougie when you have it.
- 2:16:17Speaker 3: And I'm not even a boogie guy wearing a brown
- 2:16:20Speaker 3: Western shirt.
- 2:16:21Speaker 2: With they with say those items on you are bougie?
- 2:16:25Speaker 3: Now they are?
- 2:16:25Speaker 2: Those are nice, are nice items, But I'm not like
- 2:16:28Speaker 2: giving off the vibes.
- 2:16:29Speaker 3: Of like, hey, I'm boogie as hell, dude, Okay.
- 2:16:34Speaker 2: And then my dad Hack is singing when you wake
- 2:16:36Speaker 2: up your kid out nice. You just you just sing, dude,
- 2:16:42Speaker 2: It's that easy. Chris, you have something.
- 2:16:45Speaker 5: What's your song? Because my dad had a song? What's
- 2:16:47Speaker 5: your song like? When you like to wake up the kid?
- 2:16:50Speaker 5: I like the Middle by Jimmy World.
- 2:16:54Speaker 3: Hey, don't write yourself off yet, it's only in your head.
- 2:16:58Speaker 3: Do you feel left out or lookdown on and I'll
- 2:17:03Speaker 3: stop there for copyright infrigerant. There's also a non copyright infrigerant.
- 2:17:08Speaker 2: Good morning, good morning, good morning to you.
- 2:17:14Speaker 3: And I go to the blinds and I opened up
- 2:17:16Speaker 3: the draps and I do the blind thing, and scarlet
- 2:17:20Speaker 3: sitting there. I've gone in with dude, Chris is gonna
- 2:17:24Speaker 3: geek baby, you're a fire at your work. Come on
- 2:17:31Speaker 3: to your col lucipers, make them go, uh as you
- 2:17:38Speaker 3: shoot across the sky, sky sky. I'm sure she just
- 2:17:43Speaker 3: loves anything that you're singing, which is good because then
- 2:17:46Speaker 3: you could mix it up. You could throw a little
- 2:17:47Speaker 3: Snoop Dogg in there, a little rhythm mix you don't care.
- 2:17:51Speaker 3: And then sometimes I do an opera. Uh yeah, of
- 2:17:54Speaker 3: course I do an opera rendition of Disney songs of
- 2:17:57Speaker 3: one direction songs.
- 2:18:00Speaker 2: Uh milans, Who is this girl?
- 2:18:04Speaker 3: I see staring there back at me, who does my
- 2:18:11Speaker 3: reflection show? I don't even know the rest of the words,
- 2:18:17Speaker 3: but it makes Scarlett laugh. So that's that's a great
- 2:18:20Speaker 3: that it gets the it gets the vibes going in
- 2:18:22Speaker 3: the morning.
- 2:18:23Speaker 2: I love it. Voicemails, voicemails, hit them. Uh, Derek, how
- 2:18:29Speaker 2: do you want to do?
- 2:18:30Speaker 4: We have eight in there, Let's not do that. I
- 2:18:32Speaker 4: would say, let's do three, and I'm actually gonna sprint
- 2:18:35Speaker 4: to the bathroom.
- 2:18:35Speaker 3: Perfect, okay, three good?
- 2:18:38Speaker 2: Twenty four hour internship is the first one. Chris My
- 2:18:42Speaker 2: like this.
- 2:18:46Speaker 3: Boys.
- 2:18:47Speaker 8: Got a little proposition for y'all.
- 2:18:49Speaker 2: My wife and I have an eighteen month old son
- 2:18:53Speaker 2: and she is ten weeks.
- 2:18:55Speaker 8: With another on the way. We've had an argument in
- 2:18:59Speaker 8: our house. I've always wanted two kids. She will die
- 2:19:03Speaker 8: on the hill of wanting three.
- 2:19:06Speaker 2: We've made a deal, Bud, where if we get a.
- 2:19:10Speaker 8: Girl this time around, one boy, one girl, I get
- 2:19:13Speaker 8: my wish and we.
- 2:19:14Speaker 2: Can be done.
- 2:19:15Speaker 8: If we have a second boy, things sway her way
- 2:19:20Speaker 8: and then we're going to try for a third. My
- 2:19:23Speaker 8: proposition is I was listening to the episode where y'all said,
- 2:19:28Speaker 8: if you work in this office, you're cursed with having girls.
- 2:19:32Speaker 8: We find out the gender in two weeks.
- 2:19:35Speaker 2: So what I'm asking for.
- 2:19:37Speaker 8: Is, on that day where we find out the gender,
- 2:19:42Speaker 8: a twenty four hour internship from y'all and hopes that
- 2:19:47Speaker 8: I get my girl. That's all, peace and love, appreciate it.
- 2:19:53Speaker 2: What was his name?
- 2:19:56Speaker 8: You say, boys, got a little proposition for y'all.
- 2:20:00Speaker 2: No name my wife and I have. He didn't say
- 2:20:03Speaker 2: a sherm turn uh sum.
- 2:20:06Speaker 6: I worry about this because we did do We did
- 2:20:08Speaker 6: do the the ritual right after Taylor announced that he
- 2:20:14Speaker 6: was going to have yet another girl, and so I
- 2:20:17Speaker 6: worry that if he does do the internship here, no
- 2:20:20Speaker 6: one's had a child yet.
- 2:20:23Speaker 2: I believe in what we did here. I believe in
- 2:20:26Speaker 2: what we did.
- 2:20:27Speaker 3: Hear chef, But I will say this, he believes in
- 2:20:34Speaker 3: the curse as much as what we believe we did here. Right,
- 2:20:39Speaker 3: what we did here made not of work. The ritual
- 2:20:42Speaker 3: may not have worked. There's a guy that keeps calling
- 2:20:45Speaker 3: the guy that says we put the booge on him. Yeah,
- 2:20:48Speaker 3: he's called back a few times, so it's worked on someone.
- 2:20:52Speaker 3: We put the booge on that man. So far as boys, Yeah,
- 2:20:55Speaker 3: he's on a twenty four hour internship.
- 2:20:58Speaker 4: Yeah, because him and his wife, if he got a
- 2:21:00Speaker 4: little delie out right. Okay, so what I what I
- 2:21:03Speaker 4: would like to do?
- 2:21:04Speaker 3: Yeah, because we've joked about on this episode having a
- 2:21:07Speaker 3: shurm turn having an intern if you will deturn a
- 2:21:13Speaker 3: chef turn, I like a shirm turn. We're gonna do
- 2:21:16Speaker 3: afore the dad's internship with this caller. If is there
- 2:21:21Speaker 3: a way that we could get his info? Yeah, I
- 2:21:25Speaker 3: have Uh, he's called the forore the dad's phone, so
- 2:21:27Speaker 3: we have it all there. Okay, will vemo him a dollar. Oh,
- 2:21:32Speaker 3: we'll get a We're gonna email him a contract. He's
- 2:21:35Speaker 3: gonna sign it because if he if he wants this girl,
- 2:21:39Speaker 3: and if he thinks this curse is real, we'll do
- 2:21:42Speaker 3: our part to make sure that it is real as possible.
- 2:21:45Speaker 3: That we will hire him as an intern for a day,
- 2:21:49Speaker 3: for a day, for twenty four hours. Yeah, and then
- 2:21:53Speaker 3: his internship is over. We will vemo him a dollar
- 2:21:57Speaker 3: so that and we will have him make a graphic.
- 2:22:01Speaker 3: He worked for us, he was an employee. Hopefully he
- 2:22:06Speaker 3: gets his baby girl. If that gets him his baby girl, dude,
- 2:22:09Speaker 3: that's the easiest thing we've ever done.
- 2:22:10Speaker 2: On this show. I just I still worry about the
- 2:22:14Speaker 2: rit I believe in what we do well.
- 2:22:16Speaker 3: It will be a good test of whether or not
- 2:22:17Speaker 3: our ritual worked. Yeah, sorry that you're our test subject, caller. Well,
- 2:22:23Speaker 3: we also could have done the ritual and maybe it
- 2:22:25Speaker 3: just works on interns.
- 2:22:28Speaker 2: We don't know we did.
- 2:22:29Speaker 4: I believe in what we did, but I don't know
- 2:22:31Speaker 4: what we did in terms of if it was correct
- 2:22:34Speaker 4: or not. And so I believe what we did really
- 2:22:37Speaker 4: felt like that was for Will.
- 2:22:39Speaker 3: Yeah, you know what I'm saying, Like that felt it
- 2:22:41Speaker 3: did not feel pointed at Taylor or Clumb.
- 2:22:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:22:45Speaker 6: So I thought it was like a general like when
- 2:22:47Speaker 6: we put the spirit of uh, you know, Dan Gab
- 2:22:49Speaker 6: Dan Gabel out there.
- 2:22:51Speaker 3: I think we need to get some actual sage, like
- 2:22:53Speaker 3: if we're actually going to purge this office of Yeah,
- 2:22:58Speaker 3: what we did purged Will and they were on the
- 2:23:01Speaker 3: other side. So maybe we purged this side for the
- 2:23:03Speaker 3: people that were here.
- 2:23:04Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, yeah, dude.
- 2:23:07Speaker 3: I believe in what we did too, Chef, I do too.
- 2:23:09Speaker 3: I believe.
- 2:23:10Speaker 6: I just worry because I want the guy. I want
- 2:23:11Speaker 6: this caller to have a girl. I want this to
- 2:23:14Speaker 6: go smoothly, and I'm a big I'm just a believer here.
- 2:23:19Speaker 6: The good news is this is what we call a
- 2:23:21Speaker 6: win win in the business.
- 2:23:22Speaker 2: Boo, that's true.
- 2:23:23Speaker 3: This is a win win. If he doesn't get his girl,
- 2:23:26Speaker 3: he's getting a baby boy, and maybe our non's ritual work.
- 2:23:30Speaker 4: Oh, it did work because he'll be an employee and
- 2:23:33Speaker 4: employees here do not have boys. So if he's an
- 2:23:36Speaker 4: employee here and he has a boy, it worked.
- 2:23:40Speaker 2: Yeah. But if he has a girl, then we need
- 2:23:42Speaker 2: to just redo it or it's just on will it's
- 2:23:44Speaker 2: a win win.
- 2:23:45Speaker 6: Yeah, let's say it's more of it. I'm just worried
- 2:23:47Speaker 6: that maybe it our ritual didn't work. And then it's
- 2:23:51Speaker 6: like it's like whenever you're studying for a test or
- 2:23:54Speaker 6: something like that and you have to go take the test,
- 2:23:55Speaker 6: you're like did I prep?
- 2:23:57Speaker 2: You're like worried about or you're like testing something out.
- 2:24:00Speaker 2: I hope all this work.
- 2:24:02Speaker 3: Well, there is like a spooky season coming up, so
- 2:24:07Speaker 3: maybe we have to rip another one if it doesn't.
- 2:24:12Speaker 2: What have we got next? Sherman. We got another voicemail.
- 2:24:15Speaker 2: She's starting to hit.
- 2:24:20Speaker 9: Hey boys, I call this one the hit and what
- 2:24:22Speaker 9: the hell do I do?
- 2:24:24Speaker 2: Uh?
- 2:24:24Speaker 9: It's your boy Stephen from Massachusetts, here. This one I
- 2:24:28Speaker 9: feel like is more for really one shelf than shermster.
- 2:24:32Speaker 3: Though I feel like his wife might be doing what
- 2:24:35Speaker 3: the kid I.
- 2:24:35Speaker 9: Was doing in my situation to him and just looking
- 2:24:38Speaker 9: for some advice here I got.
- 2:24:41Speaker 3: I got a kid. She's uh, she's cool, she's great.
- 2:24:45Speaker 10: I freaking lower to death.
- 2:24:46Speaker 3: But she's two.
- 2:24:47Speaker 10: Years old and seven months and then my wife's pregnant.
- 2:24:51Speaker 9: Now with our boy on the way, it's gonna berat
- 2:24:54Speaker 9: uh Do in November. His name is gonna be Bruin
- 2:24:57Speaker 9: like the Boston Bruins, Little brew Brew.
- 2:24:59Speaker 10: But not last my story here is my daughter's starting
- 2:25:03Speaker 10: to hit it, and I mean smacking the face.
- 2:25:07Speaker 2: She just gives you a good old one timer, a
- 2:25:09Speaker 2: little clapper, and.
- 2:25:12Speaker 9: We don't know how to control that.
- 2:25:13Speaker 10: And it's mainly my wife, and you know, being the
- 2:25:16Speaker 10: husband and the protector, I get a little upset when
- 2:25:19Speaker 10: she hits the wife.
- 2:25:20Speaker 7: And I'm trying to get some advice on how to
- 2:25:23Speaker 7: handle the situation because what I want to do wouldn't
- 2:25:26Speaker 7: be very good. I want to take her, put her
- 2:25:29Speaker 7: in her bed, and just chuck stuffed animals at her head.
- 2:25:32Speaker 7: I want to take all her bottles and just put
- 2:25:34Speaker 7: them in a blender.
- 2:25:36Speaker 10: I want to take all of her toys and just
- 2:25:38Speaker 10: tell her they're all broken and take the batteries out.
- 2:25:41Speaker 3: You know.
- 2:25:41Speaker 10: I just want to be uh, I want to be upset,
- 2:25:44Speaker 10: but I need some help with it. Boys, So let
- 2:25:47Speaker 10: me know what you think and what you do, Willie,
- 2:25:49Speaker 10: if this ever occurred to you, it doesn't happen too much,
- 2:25:51Speaker 10: but it just started happening. So love you boys.
- 2:25:55Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, then bye.
- 2:25:59Speaker 3: Go son And at the end, extremely rational reaction. Yeah,
- 2:26:03Speaker 3: the stuffed animals, the blender. Yeah, they're taking the batteries out. Rational.
- 2:26:06Speaker 2: I'm surprised he didn't do it yet.
- 2:26:13Speaker 3: Scarlet hits Jill's chest a lot, not her face, Scarlet,
- 2:26:16Speaker 3: and it's playful. It's like this, but she never does
- 2:26:20Speaker 3: that when I hold her. It's kind of weird. Like
- 2:26:24Speaker 3: when I hold her, she's like and no offense to
- 2:26:28Speaker 3: my wife. I'm a bit taller than my wife, and
- 2:26:31Speaker 3: I think Scarlet likes kind of being higher up and
- 2:26:34Speaker 3: she can kind of like see more when I'm holding
- 2:26:37Speaker 3: her up there, and maybe she's like distracted, but when
- 2:26:39Speaker 3: she's being held by Jill, she's just constantly doing this
- 2:26:44Speaker 3: or her chest the entire time when you were talking
- 2:26:47Speaker 3: about being bigger, I assumed you were going the route
- 2:26:50Speaker 3: that Scarlett was participating in, like a pecking order thing,
- 2:26:53Speaker 3: and she was challenging Jill for second in the family.
- 2:26:56Speaker 2: But now I see what you're saying. That's different. It
- 2:26:58Speaker 2: could be that to you that she was like, let's
- 2:27:00Speaker 2: go bring up point. You're the alpha. Either way, she's
- 2:27:05Speaker 2: wanting to go for the belt with mom. You gotta
- 2:27:08Speaker 2: climb the ladder too. You can't just go from unranked
- 2:27:10Speaker 2: to the belt.
- 2:27:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, Okay, just just a thought.
- 2:27:15Speaker 2: I and dude, I don't to answer his thing.
- 2:27:18Speaker 3: I mean, I wish Will was here because he's dealing
- 2:27:21Speaker 3: with that with little Scotty and ru all the time with.
- 2:27:26Speaker 2: Scott Zilla hitting. Uh. Everything that I've seen, I'll try
- 2:27:30Speaker 2: and answer this.
- 2:27:31Speaker 3: From like Will's perspective. Everything that I've seen with Will
- 2:27:35Speaker 3: is he's like very adamant on stopping Scotty in the act.
- 2:27:40Speaker 3: You're not like grabbing or wrenching Scotty's arm, but like
- 2:27:44Speaker 3: catching Scotty and trying to show Scotty that even though
- 2:27:49Speaker 3: it is funny, sometimes it's not funny. It's not funny.
- 2:27:55Speaker 3: Stop no, no, ma'am is what we say to to Scarlet.
- 2:28:03Speaker 3: But Will was like very adamant, always trying to catch
- 2:28:05Speaker 3: Scotti and act and really nip it in the butt
- 2:28:08Speaker 3: right then and there. And so I don't know, I
- 2:28:12Speaker 3: don't know the answer. The toughest I can only project
- 2:28:16Speaker 3: not a father engaged. My only projection in all of
- 2:28:21Speaker 3: this would be that you just can't laugh. I'm gonna
- 2:28:26Speaker 3: be laughing my ass off if my kid does stuff
- 2:28:28Speaker 3: like that, Like I just know me and I'm gonna
- 2:28:30Speaker 3: be like, oh, she just threw it across the table,
- 2:28:32Speaker 3: that's so funny.
- 2:28:32Speaker 2: But like you need to be stoic.
- 2:28:34Speaker 4: You need because they're looking for that reaction in it,
- 2:28:36Speaker 4: at least from what Will and You have said about
- 2:28:38Speaker 4: it all. That'd be my only advice because I know
- 2:28:40Speaker 4: that's the thing I'm gonna have to work on the
- 2:28:41Speaker 4: most with the kids, is like you got to be
- 2:28:43Speaker 4: a dad at some point, like, yeah, we can have
- 2:28:45Speaker 4: fun and be silly goosey, but like, also when she
- 2:28:47Speaker 4: hits you gotta try not to laugh, even if it
- 2:28:50Speaker 4: is funny. And Will seems like when when his kids
- 2:28:53Speaker 4: are doing it, and you know, Scotty hits ru. He
- 2:28:55Speaker 4: always chuckles and laughs, but he's like, you can't do
- 2:28:57Speaker 4: it in the moment, so it's.
- 2:29:00Speaker 2: All I got.
- 2:29:03Speaker 3: Chrizzler.
- 2:29:05Speaker 2: Well, okay, wow. We just me and my younger brother.
- 2:29:10Speaker 5: We would just we we just would just hit each
- 2:29:12Speaker 5: other and then until the other like my dad would
- 2:29:15Speaker 5: tell us to stop, and he'd tell us to stop
- 2:29:17Speaker 5: a lot, but we were horrible and we would just
- 2:29:19Speaker 5: never listen.
- 2:29:20Speaker 2: Yeah, and we just took it to the other side.
- 2:29:23Speaker 5: It just what fixed us was someone just had like
- 2:29:26Speaker 5: we had these like pirate swords and it's like a
- 2:29:28Speaker 5: loud smack whenever like you would get hit.
- 2:29:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:29:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:29:32Speaker 5: And what got us to stop hitting each other was
- 2:29:35Speaker 5: someone literally just smack someone so hard with the sword
- 2:29:39Speaker 5: that we just stopped because then all of a sudden
- 2:29:42Speaker 5: someone's hurt too much or it's like okay, wait, hold on,
- 2:29:45Speaker 5: wait a second, this isn't worth it. So that was
- 2:29:48Speaker 5: how we stopped hitting each other. And you guys were
- 2:29:52Speaker 5: eighteen months during this.
- 2:29:54Speaker 2: You see, I don't.
- 2:29:55Speaker 5: Remember anything before, Like I'm gonna be honest, I don't
- 2:29:58Speaker 5: remember anything before kindergarten. But yeah, yeah, but maybe if
- 2:30:02Speaker 5: you're you know, it's an eight year old, that's they're
- 2:30:06Speaker 5: doing this. That could be something we can Now we're cooking.
- 2:30:09Speaker 3: And for the great point by Chrizzler, for the listener
- 2:30:13Speaker 3: that does have an eight year old and maybe a
- 2:30:15Speaker 3: six year old they're hitting each other, just let them
- 2:30:18Speaker 3: do it until it's hard enough that it's like, hey,
- 2:30:20Speaker 3: it's not worth the pain. We did it with poison
- 2:30:23Speaker 3: ivy sticks one time, and my brother and I got
- 2:30:25Speaker 3: poison ivy everywhere because we beat the every lasting crap
- 2:30:28Speaker 3: out of each other with these sticks. That's a dad hack. Yeah,
- 2:30:31Speaker 3: let lace lace it with poison ivy. Maybe lace it
- 2:30:35Speaker 3: with poison ivy could be good. Yeah, now we're cooking here,
- 2:30:38Speaker 3: we're joking. We're joking. But well, oh, emails, is that
- 2:30:45Speaker 3: what you're showing.
- 2:30:45Speaker 2: You supposed to be a silent cube but we're at
- 2:30:47Speaker 2: two thirty cool.
- 2:30:49Speaker 3: Hit them with an email now, I will, I will.
- 2:30:52Speaker 3: All all three are sadd alerts. Okay, okay, no, just
- 2:30:56Speaker 3: just a note to us.
- 2:30:57Speaker 2: All but all. Oh dude, I got a really sad one.
- 2:31:01Speaker 2: Yeah yours is? I think we all do? I just
- 2:31:03Speaker 2: saw a picture.
- 2:31:03Speaker 3: I have a really there's Yeah, we got some sad one,
- 2:31:05Speaker 3: So chef, thank you for the transitional note.
- 2:31:07Speaker 6: These are sad alerts. Gotcha, Christopher meke Ewen. But then
- 2:31:12Speaker 6: it says Nick on the actual.
- 2:31:14Speaker 3: I'm so sorry, Mike Ewan was a thing read So
- 2:31:16Speaker 3: Nick will be the guy for it. I will pull
- 2:31:18Speaker 3: up the actual name that is on me.
- 2:31:20Speaker 2: Thank gotcha. I got to hear it's from a Nick
- 2:31:23Speaker 2: well day. Yes, thank you chef. Hey boys, my name
- 2:31:26Speaker 2: is Nick. This is gonna be a little sad, so
- 2:31:27Speaker 2: bear with me.
- 2:31:28Speaker 3: Here.
- 2:31:28Speaker 2: My wife's son and I moved to a new place.
- 2:31:30Speaker 6: My dog can I like the bear in Disney's Disney's
- 2:31:34Speaker 6: brother Bear got out of the backyard last night. This
- 2:31:37Speaker 6: was sitting in July twenty second, so July twenty first,
- 2:31:41Speaker 6: and was trying to walk to our old house, which
- 2:31:43Speaker 6: is about half a mile away from the new house,
- 2:31:46Speaker 6: and he ended up getting hit by a car and
- 2:31:48Speaker 6: passed away. My son, Carson, who's too, absolutely love that dog.
- 2:31:53Speaker 6: He's a smart kid. And here's his mom crying and
- 2:31:55Speaker 6: asked me why is mommy upset? And I couldn't answer it.
- 2:31:58Speaker 6: I don't know how to tell him his dog died.
- 2:32:01Speaker 6: He hasn't asked him yet, but I know he will
- 2:32:04Speaker 6: and he tips. The advice would be amazing. Thank you boys.
- 2:32:07Speaker 6: Here's a picture of can I when he was a puppy.
- 2:32:09Speaker 6: I'll make sure to put this in can I absolute
- 2:32:14Speaker 6: beautiful dog. First off, Nick, so so sorry for your loss,
- 2:32:19Speaker 6: and I looks like an amazing, amazing dog.
- 2:32:23Speaker 2: I'll get my spiel real quick.
- 2:32:24Speaker 6: And if you guys please in terms of actually telling
- 2:32:27Speaker 6: your two year old, I have no clue, I don't
- 2:32:29Speaker 6: have a kid. That's got to be an incredibly hard conversation.
- 2:32:34Speaker 2: My advice for.
- 2:32:34Speaker 6: Any time losing an animal with young people, this is
- 2:32:37Speaker 6: what I've heard, this is what I know. I would
- 2:32:40Speaker 6: pretty confidently say my girlfriend who's about to go to
- 2:32:43Speaker 6: vet school would say the same thing. Has worked a
- 2:32:45Speaker 6: lot with in a like pet care environment. It takes
- 2:32:50Speaker 6: some time to feel whatever you're feeling at the moment,
- 2:32:53Speaker 6: and then eventually, and I mean this is serious advice.
- 2:32:57Speaker 6: A new dog is the ultimate way, and new friend,
- 2:33:01Speaker 6: new pet for the household. Doesn't mean can I lose
- 2:33:05Speaker 6: as any of the love that you guys have, But
- 2:33:07Speaker 6: it's just the easiest way, especially with young kids.
- 2:33:09Speaker 2: That's always what I've heard, and that would be my
- 2:33:12Speaker 2: piece of advice.
- 2:33:13Speaker 4: I love that, and it's definitely I just want to reatter,
- 2:33:16Speaker 4: because I know people would be like, well, you can't
- 2:33:18Speaker 4: replace it. You're not even saying that, you're just saying
- 2:33:20Speaker 4: that's the best way.
- 2:33:21Speaker 6: Yeah, never really, but it's it's a new opportunity for
- 2:33:24Speaker 6: an awesome like pets are awesome. Yeah, dogs especially like
- 2:33:27Speaker 6: they can become your best friend. They mean so much
- 2:33:30Speaker 6: to us. I know a lot of people probably listen
- 2:33:32Speaker 6: to have dogs. I have a dog, Scottie. I know, Derek,
- 2:33:35Speaker 6: you have two dogs, shureing me. You got two ill
- 2:33:38Speaker 6: dogs to give you trouble, but they're still the world,
- 2:33:40Speaker 6: you know, So that'd be that would be my advice.
- 2:33:45Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, any thoughts from you for telling the kid,
- 2:33:47Speaker 3: because the only thing I can go off is similar advice,
- 2:33:50Speaker 3: where like Bean got hit and I luckily he's okay,
- 2:33:52Speaker 3: and I took them to a vet and like, there's
- 2:33:54Speaker 3: things we sorted out.
- 2:33:54Speaker 4: But I kind of went through that wave of emotion.
- 2:33:57Speaker 4: But all my perspective would come similar to Chef would
- 2:33:59Speaker 4: just spect. So yeah, I think that there's a lot
- 2:34:03Speaker 4: to be learned in loss of pets.
- 2:34:06Speaker 3: I think that that's a good introduction of life being lost,
- 2:34:11Speaker 3: a friend being lost, and what that feeling is like.
- 2:34:16Speaker 3: And how to process it and the ability to move
- 2:34:18Speaker 3: on from it. I think a lot can be taught
- 2:34:22Speaker 3: through having pets, especially a man's best friend. Grew up
- 2:34:27Speaker 3: with dogs, had dogs pass away when I was young,
- 2:34:31Speaker 3: had dogs pass away when I.
- 2:34:33Speaker 2: Was in high school.
- 2:34:33Speaker 3: So for me, it was understood that dogs could pass
- 2:34:39Speaker 3: on when I was very young, and I think that
- 2:34:43Speaker 3: that was really probably my introduction to death, as funny
- 2:34:47Speaker 3: as that sounds of, Like I remember being little and thinking, dang,
- 2:34:52Speaker 3: that really sucks that dad's dog Tank only lives to
- 2:34:57Speaker 3: be around like twelve to thirteen years old. Live so
- 2:35:00Speaker 3: much longer. Dogs are so awesome. I wish they live longer. Yeah,
- 2:35:05Speaker 3: and then you start to appreciate your dogs that much
- 2:35:07Speaker 3: more and appreciate that time, and so it's like it's
- 2:35:10Speaker 3: a really cool learning opportunity. I think having another dog
- 2:35:15Speaker 3: be entered into the mix is a fantastic, if not
- 2:35:19Speaker 3: the best solution to it, I agree, because then it
- 2:35:23Speaker 3: makes them appreciate that next dog that much more. Yeah,
- 2:35:26Speaker 3: they know the time short, but you get to have
- 2:35:30Speaker 3: a best friend for the next ten to fifteen years.
- 2:35:33Speaker 5: I think something that can help too is when my
- 2:35:35Speaker 5: dog passed away, what my dad did, Like if there's
- 2:35:37Speaker 5: a leash, a caller or maybe the dog bowl. What
- 2:35:40Speaker 5: I would recommend is maybe put a photo print out
- 2:35:43Speaker 5: the dog and give the leash or whatever it is
- 2:35:46Speaker 5: to the two year old and be like, this is
- 2:35:48Speaker 5: what the dog would have wanted, and so that way
- 2:35:51Speaker 5: in the root in his room as like a little decor,
- 2:35:54Speaker 5: or maybe get a stuffed animal that was the dog.
- 2:35:57Speaker 5: And then what you can do is, you know, kind
- 2:35:58Speaker 5: of hang it up on a shelf and be like,
- 2:36:00Speaker 5: this is what you know he was. You know, the
- 2:36:03Speaker 5: dog was her favorite blah blah blah, like to the
- 2:36:05Speaker 5: kiddo and be like, you know, and he can have
- 2:36:08Speaker 5: a little piece of de corner his room like that
- 2:36:10Speaker 5: was my favorite dog, and you can can kind of
- 2:36:11Speaker 5: go back to that story too, like when he's a
- 2:36:14Speaker 5: lot older, because my dad would always say, like I
- 2:36:16Speaker 5: had a dog that like Buddy who passed when I
- 2:36:18Speaker 5: was in fifth grade, and my dad would always show
- 2:36:20Speaker 5: me old photos of the dog like protecting the you know,
- 2:36:23Speaker 5: my crib or something like that. So I think that
- 2:36:26Speaker 5: could be kind of a good little like I don't know,
- 2:36:29Speaker 5: I don't know how a two yeald thinks. I don't
- 2:36:31Speaker 5: know I know, my brain's a little wonky, but I
- 2:36:33Speaker 5: think that could also set a well with a little
- 2:36:36Speaker 5: kiddo being like, hey, here's a stuffed animal of your dog,
- 2:36:39Speaker 5: here's the leash that you know we walked him with,
- 2:36:42Speaker 5: and here's a little photo of you and together.
- 2:36:44Speaker 2: I think that could That's a great one.
- 2:36:46Speaker 3: It's a part of me that thought you were going
- 2:36:47Speaker 3: to say taxidermy, Chris, that would That did not cross
- 2:36:54Speaker 3: my brain.
- 2:36:55Speaker 2: I love that.
- 2:36:56Speaker 3: It's an option. Yeah, it's an option. I'm not and
- 2:37:00Speaker 3: I was not a good one, but yeah, that's tough.
- 2:37:03Speaker 3: I have one for one too.
- 2:37:05Speaker 2: Do you want to go? Are you okay?
- 2:37:07Speaker 3: You look like you're gonna look Oh no, no, no
- 2:37:11Speaker 3: more so just I've already seen a picture, so I'm
- 2:37:14Speaker 3: just like, oh my gosh, yeah, Chris Leisure. So Chris
- 2:37:20Speaker 3: was kind enough to ride and he said, fellas want
- 2:37:22Speaker 3: to reach out. Really appreciate the stories and scenarios you
- 2:37:25Speaker 3: guys share.
- 2:37:27Speaker 2: It's fun to do life at home.
- 2:37:29Speaker 3: Then hear your stories and I realized it's not just
- 2:37:31Speaker 3: me are my kids, It's how these small creatures.
- 2:37:35Speaker 2: Are wired.
- 2:37:37Speaker 3: This past week, we took an l in the Leisure household,
- 2:37:40Speaker 3: though near twelve years ago, when my wife and I
- 2:37:44Speaker 3: first met, we made our first commitment a rescue pop
- 2:37:48Speaker 3: a retriever mutt HEINZ fifty seven Grand Champion AKC registered Napper,
- 2:37:53Speaker 3: a snugglebug sock thief that captured.
- 2:37:57Speaker 2: Our hearts from the very beginning.
- 2:37:58Speaker 3: His name was Riggin, yes after Tim Riggins, A real
- 2:38:03Speaker 3: innocent fella the majority of the time. Always knew me
- 2:38:07Speaker 3: as dad and my wife's mom looked to me as
- 2:38:10Speaker 3: the alpha the family, but stood in front of my
- 2:38:13Speaker 3: wife and kids, he let me lead the way to
- 2:38:16Speaker 3: the a gap. Some would say rigs in. My family
- 2:38:20Speaker 3: did many things together over the last twelve years. We
- 2:38:23Speaker 3: built our family with him. Our children used him to
- 2:38:26Speaker 3: learn how to walk. Once they could walk, he would
- 2:38:29Speaker 3: let them lead him on the leash. He kept them safe.
- 2:38:32Speaker 3: Their face is clean, and my kids kept his belly
- 2:38:35Speaker 3: and heartful.
- 2:38:36Speaker 2: I bet they did.
- 2:38:37Speaker 3: We used to go fishing to a few local lakes
- 2:38:40Speaker 3: here in Ohio. He wasn't much for swimming, but he
- 2:38:43Speaker 3: loved to investigate the fish I would catch. The day
- 2:38:46Speaker 3: I sold my boat, my biggest regret wasn't that my
- 2:38:48Speaker 3: kids went get the fish off of it. It was
- 2:38:50Speaker 3: that my dog and I don't have anywhere to go
- 2:38:52Speaker 3: from six a to noon on Saturdays to let out
- 2:38:56Speaker 3: our hair. Only b I seventeenth, we came home to
- 2:39:01Speaker 3: a dog that seemed exhausted, uncomfortable, and concerned.
- 2:39:05Speaker 2: Drew. That was what was wrong with our guy.
- 2:39:09Speaker 3: Our sweet little boy had over time developed a tumor
- 2:39:14Speaker 3: in his liver that was spreading fast. We tried to
- 2:39:17Speaker 3: deny the fate of our sweet boy, but tests after
- 2:39:20Speaker 3: test came back. Unable to do this Because of that,
- 2:39:23Speaker 3: and because of this, could he survive a surgery? Blood
- 2:39:27Speaker 3: tests come back. He shouldn't have been a live period,
- 2:39:30Speaker 3: but he was. The trip to the last night that
- 2:39:33Speaker 3: we left at nine to fifteen pm, and he knew
- 2:39:36Speaker 3: when he was leashed and walked to the car where
- 2:39:38Speaker 3: he was going.
- 2:39:39Speaker 2: It broke my heart. He didn't want to go.
- 2:39:41Speaker 3: He wanted to stay awake, stay home for our family,
- 2:39:45Speaker 3: go out on his own terms. He wanted to fight,
- 2:39:48Speaker 3: but his body was failing him. I could see it.
- 2:39:51Speaker 3: We left and for fifty five minutes, I held my
- 2:39:53Speaker 3: buddy's head and paused, and we stared. He stared at
- 2:39:57Speaker 3: me the entire trip. It wasn't until we almost reached
- 2:40:00Speaker 3: our destination. They laid his head down and closed his eyes.
- 2:40:03Speaker 3: I wish I would have kept driving. Maybe he could
- 2:40:06Speaker 3: have passed then in my truck or in the passenger seat,
- 2:40:09Speaker 3: the way I think God intended, doing what he loved
- 2:40:12Speaker 3: to do. Take a ride that night, my kids, who
- 2:40:15Speaker 3: only knew life, who only knew life with Mom, Dad
- 2:40:19Speaker 3: and Riggs, lost their keeper, their best buddy, their brother.
- 2:40:23Speaker 3: It's been hard to go. It's been a hard go
- 2:40:27Speaker 3: for all of us, and really life just isn't the same.
- 2:40:31Speaker 3: With all that being said, I want to shout out Riggins.
- 2:40:35Speaker 3: Thank you for being the best dog I could have
- 2:40:37Speaker 3: asked for as a father for my children, a snugglebug
- 2:40:41Speaker 3: for your mother through two early pregnancies and two brain surgeries.
- 2:40:46Speaker 3: You were there for it and just being my best buddy.
- 2:40:48Speaker 3: I hope someone sneeze. Use some cheese up there. You
- 2:40:52Speaker 3: earn and deserve it. Dad's take a walk with your dog,
- 2:40:55Speaker 3: play fetch, let him lick a plate clean, get him
- 2:40:58Speaker 3: ice cream, and don't forget take out the trash. Chris
- 2:41:02Speaker 3: Leisure and Bro Reggan's such a handsome pupper dude. Hey, also, Chris,
- 2:41:14Speaker 3: I just want to because Chris is like talking about
- 2:41:17Speaker 3: his family a lot, and here he's not so much
- 2:41:19Speaker 3: like talking about himself, which makes no sense.
- 2:41:23Speaker 2: Chris is probably a legendary dad and leader of his household.
- 2:41:29Speaker 3: This stuff affects him too, you know what I'm saying,
- 2:41:33Speaker 3: Like this affects him deeply to where he wanted to
- 2:41:35Speaker 3: ride into the show. I think there's something so great
- 2:41:41Speaker 3: about the bond of like a really really good dog
- 2:41:46Speaker 3: and it's own and I think it speaks to the owner. Yeah,
- 2:41:51Speaker 3: primarily as well. And so Chris, I want you say
- 2:41:55Speaker 3: to you, I am so sorry for your loss. I
- 2:41:59Speaker 3: know that when Wrigley passes, Jill will not be okay.
- 2:42:03Speaker 3: She might have to take a week off of work. Yeah, and.
- 2:42:11Speaker 2: I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry that you lost Riggins.
- 2:42:15Speaker 3: But it's so sick that you love this dog enough
- 2:42:20Speaker 3: that you had all these stories to share with us,
- 2:42:23Speaker 3: you know, a plethora of stories. I'm sure you didn't
- 2:42:25Speaker 3: even begin to scratch the surface of all the stories
- 2:42:28Speaker 3: of just moments that you shared with this dog.
- 2:42:32Speaker 2: And life is so beautiful, dude, It's exactly what.
- 2:42:36Speaker 3: We were talking about.
- 2:42:37Speaker 2: It just shows you.
- 2:42:41Speaker 3: To appreciate life.
- 2:42:42Speaker 6: I add a quick note, real quick to Chris, just
- 2:42:45Speaker 6: from like my girlfriend, I hear about a lot of
- 2:42:48Speaker 6: these kind of stories a lot where she works, and
- 2:42:52Speaker 6: there's a lot of pet owners who when their pet
- 2:42:55Speaker 6: is at the end of their life and they're getting
- 2:42:57Speaker 6: these health complications, they don't want to let go, and
- 2:43:01Speaker 6: so they try to prolong their life to a world
- 2:43:04Speaker 6: where they are living in misery. And then my girlfriend
- 2:43:07Speaker 6: would say, it's very selfish because even if you do
- 2:43:10Speaker 6: prolong a lot of times in this situation, sounded like
- 2:43:13Speaker 6: Riggs was going to suffer. And although I know that
- 2:43:17Speaker 6: you wanted him to go out on his own, you
- 2:43:20Speaker 6: made what would be considered the humane choice and not
- 2:43:24Speaker 6: letting him live in pain. And I know that's probably
- 2:43:27Speaker 6: the hardest decision anyone has to make, but it is
- 2:43:33Speaker 6: it is the right decision. So just in a pot
- 2:43:35Speaker 6: like I just hear a lot of stories about it
- 2:43:38Speaker 6: gets really sad from the care side of it, where
- 2:43:40Speaker 6: people just want things to keep going, and it's like
- 2:43:43Speaker 6: I get it, Like then it what has always said
- 2:43:46Speaker 6: is like then it becomes about you and not the pet.
- 2:43:48Speaker 2: And so Rigs seemed like a hell of a dog dude.
- 2:43:52Speaker 3: Very sorry, Well, put chef, I think that's a good,
- 2:43:55Speaker 3: good way to look at it. Well, but yes, sir,
- 2:43:58Speaker 3: all right as voice or email excuse me from Clarence
- 2:44:03Speaker 3: Lewis Boys, heads up.
- 2:44:06Speaker 2: Apology for the long email.
- 2:44:08Speaker 4: Your stories about vacations and the family have urged me
- 2:44:10Speaker 4: to want to share my own with you, even if
- 2:44:12Speaker 4: you don't read this out loud on the pot. It's
- 2:44:14Speaker 4: therapeutic for me to write these words out in process
- 2:44:16Speaker 4: some of the feelings I've been having. Clarence Lewis writing
- 2:44:19Speaker 4: in from New Braunfels, Texas New bron Fols Day one
- 2:44:24Speaker 4: Ptsiko from the Dark Days pre Spotify first time writer. Ooh,
- 2:44:29Speaker 4: I took my son Clarence Lewis V. That's right, Willie.
- 2:44:32Speaker 4: See he's the fifth generation of Clarence Lewis God.
- 2:44:35Speaker 3: They call him Sinco, I hope. So a lot of
- 2:44:38Speaker 3: people do that in Texas.
- 2:44:39Speaker 2: We call my cousin Who's the third tray?
- 2:44:41Speaker 3: Which I love that I like.
- 2:44:42Speaker 2: So I took my son Clarence Lewis V fishing for
- 2:44:47Speaker 2: the first time last week. Photo attached which I'll share.
- 2:44:50Speaker 4: He fished at Roberts Point Park, right where the fairies
- 2:44:53Speaker 4: take people across the channel in and out.
- 2:44:55Speaker 3: Of Port Aransas. Today, baby My family has been coming
- 2:44:59Speaker 3: to Robert Point in fishing off the wall and the
- 2:45:01Speaker 3: pier since my grandfather, who passed in twenty twenty one,
- 2:45:04Speaker 3: was a child himself.
- 2:45:06Speaker 4: We have spent so much time on this pier as
- 2:45:08Speaker 4: a family. We bought and dedicated a bench along the
- 2:45:11Speaker 4: way to my late grandfather. Picture of my son and
- 2:45:14Speaker 4: grandma sitting on grandfather's.
- 2:45:15Speaker 3: Bench attached, So there he is way fishing, and then
- 2:45:18Speaker 3: the bench for his grandson spot.
- 2:45:21Speaker 2: Yeah, so if you're ever there, you could see the
- 2:45:23Speaker 2: bench poor.
- 2:45:24Speaker 3: Day, by the way, for any fishers out there, crazy fishing,
- 2:45:29Speaker 3: crazy good fishing in poor day. Being able to share
- 2:45:33Speaker 3: this special place with my son brought up so many emotions, joy, gratitude,
- 2:45:38Speaker 3: and even grief. Joyful to see my son begin making
- 2:45:41Speaker 3: memories in a place that is so special to me,
- 2:45:44Speaker 3: and knowing who will be the next generation of my
- 2:45:45Speaker 3: family to spend countless vacations at the special place. Filled
- 2:45:49Speaker 3: with gratitude to be able to provide my son and
- 2:45:51Speaker 3: family a life where we'd be able to carry that
- 2:45:53Speaker 3: tradition of beach summer vacations, even grief because my son
- 2:45:56Speaker 3: does not get to experience this place with my own grandfather,
- 2:45:59Speaker 3: the man whom made it so special for me in
- 2:46:01Speaker 3: my entire family. There is nowhere in the world I
- 2:46:04Speaker 3: feel closer to my grandfather than that beach. And there
- 2:46:06Speaker 3: is nowhere in the world I'd rather teach my son
- 2:46:08Speaker 3: to fish. It is our job as father's to carry
- 2:46:12Speaker 3: on the traditions and pass the love with the special
- 2:46:13Speaker 3: places the same way it was passed down to us.
- 2:46:17Speaker 3: Keep building rocket ships and fostering the community we love
- 2:46:19Speaker 3: so much. Boys, thank you for all you do.
- 2:46:21Speaker 2: PT six out that yeah, because the emotion of like,
- 2:46:26Speaker 2: I know how he feels.
- 2:46:27Speaker 3: About his grandpa is like we would go to Myrtle
- 2:46:30Speaker 3: Beach with my mom's dad and like they started when
- 2:46:33Speaker 3: my mom was a child and YadA YadA, and so
- 2:46:35Speaker 3: I know we always talked through. But it is suck,
- 2:46:38Speaker 3: but it has the same tone of a dog where
- 2:46:39Speaker 3: it's like it's awesome too. It sucks because of how
- 2:46:42Speaker 3: awesome it is, Like it sucks to think you're going
- 2:46:45Speaker 3: there without your loved ones, but it's so awesome to
- 2:46:47Speaker 3: be able to show Scarlet those hills you guys played
- 2:46:49Speaker 3: army men on and stuff like that, Like it sucks,
- 2:46:52Speaker 3: but it's awesome.
- 2:46:54Speaker 2: Dude.
- 2:46:55Speaker 3: Really cool too that he has the opportunity to now
- 2:46:58Speaker 3: take the spot of his grandfather.
- 2:47:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 2:47:01Speaker 3: I think that's what's really cool about having those that
- 2:47:05Speaker 3: raised us or people that we really admired in our life,
- 2:47:08Speaker 3: whether it was a coach or a teacher or anything
- 2:47:11Speaker 3: like that, that makes a place like really special to us,
- 2:47:14Speaker 3: or makes a memory really special that we want to share.
- 2:47:18Speaker 3: Not only is that place really special, but that person
- 2:47:22Speaker 3: was really special and you get to be that person
- 2:47:24Speaker 3: to your son, to your grandkids moving forward. And it's
- 2:47:33Speaker 3: just so cool to like be given that opportunity a
- 2:47:37Speaker 3: place that would just be another peer to somebody in
- 2:47:41Speaker 3: Port Aansas that they want to think twice about. And
- 2:47:44Speaker 3: there's so many peers down there, so many fishing spots,
- 2:47:47Speaker 3: but like that's his favorite spot in the world. There's
- 2:47:50Speaker 3: so many beaches in the world, but like the Great
- 2:47:53Speaker 3: Beach State Park is like that is my spot. Yeah,
- 2:47:57Speaker 3: you know, that's where my grandparents ashes are. That's where
- 2:48:00Speaker 3: his grandfather's bench is. Like just cool, dude, It's cool
- 2:48:05Speaker 3: to get to share and to you pass along. I
- 2:48:09Speaker 3: also would absolutely take uh when they say there's always
- 2:48:15Speaker 3: a stark at Winterfel, there's always there's always a Clarence
- 2:48:18Speaker 3: Lewis at Roberts Point Park. There's always a Clarence Lewis
- 2:48:22Speaker 3: because there's like twenty of them here here, shout out Clarenceee,
- 2:48:26Speaker 3: there's always a Clarence Lewis at Roberts Point Park. Oh
- 2:48:29Speaker 3: my gosh, there's always a Lewis at Clarence Point.
- 2:48:31Speaker 2: I would I would rip that, Clarence. I would take that.
- 2:48:34Speaker 3: Oh that's so well done, dude. I uh to wrap
- 2:48:39Speaker 3: us up, sir, it's been a long ste holy be
- 2:48:46Speaker 3: a good teammate to your spouse. You are a team
- 2:48:51Speaker 3: I've probably said that on that show, But how many
- 2:48:53Speaker 3: times has communication or be a good teammate or don't
- 2:48:59Speaker 3: be selfish has been like a lesson of the week,
- 2:49:02Speaker 3: but just a good reminder, dude, that you are a teammate.
- 2:49:06Speaker 2: And Will has talked about that so many times.
- 2:49:09Speaker 3: And I brought up the teammate mentality like on the
- 2:49:13Speaker 3: one year episode and he was like, oh, Man, Sherman, like,
- 2:49:17Speaker 3: it's so cool to see over the year, like how
- 2:49:20Speaker 3: confidently you speak on that and how how much you've
- 2:49:23Speaker 3: learned through the process of blah blah blah.
- 2:49:25Speaker 2: It's just really cool to see wish.
- 2:49:27Speaker 3: That Sherman had been at my house when I was
- 2:49:30Speaker 3: deciding to you know, sleep on the couch and watch
- 2:49:33Speaker 3: dragons without my wife.
- 2:49:34Speaker 2: I digress, but it's.
- 2:49:39Speaker 3: It's just something to remind yourself at all times that,
- 2:49:43Speaker 3: like anything that happens, rather it's a friends that are
- 2:49:50Speaker 3: there's something going on with like a friend group, or
- 2:49:52Speaker 3: friends have hurt you, or family members have wronged you,
- 2:49:57Speaker 3: or a co worker, or like people outside of your
- 2:50:00Speaker 3: circle where you could play devil's advocate, you know, with
- 2:50:06Speaker 3: your spouse, but hear them out and be their teammate
- 2:50:11Speaker 3: in that moment as well. Of you guys have you know,
- 2:50:15Speaker 3: if you're married, like you've you've signed up to truly
- 2:50:19Speaker 3: be this person's teammate for the rest of y'all's lives.
- 2:50:24Speaker 2: And uh, you know, whether you're religious or not, a
- 2:50:28Speaker 2: lot of religions.
- 2:50:29Speaker 3: Will say that like marriage binds the soul, or like
- 2:50:32Speaker 3: it makes two into one, or the Christian faith that
- 2:50:35Speaker 3: you know you're binded with the Holy Spirit and the
- 2:50:39Speaker 3: husband wife and you.
- 2:50:43Speaker 2: You know, there's all these different ways to like look
- 2:50:45Speaker 2: at marriage.
- 2:50:45Speaker 3: Yeah, but at the end of the day, you are
- 2:50:48Speaker 3: a teammate and as lofty as I just spoke. I
- 2:50:53Speaker 3: just talked about like all these religions and all these
- 2:50:56Speaker 3: like big overarching, like drama stuff that could happen in
- 2:50:59Speaker 3: your life. Being a good teammate is also doing the
- 2:51:03Speaker 3: little things right when you break it.
- 2:51:05Speaker 2: Down to its core.
- 2:51:07Speaker 3: Some of the best teammate you have, some of the
- 2:51:09Speaker 3: best athletes in the world. Talk about the best teammates.
- 2:51:12Speaker 3: Yes they were clutching the moment, but they probably were
- 2:51:15Speaker 3: doing all the little things right on the team too,
- 2:51:18Speaker 3: And they were helping others to be the best version
- 2:51:21Speaker 3: of themselves. And they were picking up where other people
- 2:51:24Speaker 3: were slacking, and they were helping others to learn and
- 2:51:30Speaker 3: to get better in the areas that they're slacking. And
- 2:51:33Speaker 3: I often think in my marriage and as a father
- 2:51:39Speaker 3: of myself solo, not because I don't want to be
- 2:51:42Speaker 3: associated with Jill. I'm just worried about my own bullshit
- 2:51:46Speaker 3: and my own stuff that's going on, and I don't
- 2:51:49Speaker 3: think of us in the moment. If I'm upset about
- 2:51:52Speaker 3: something or I'm thinking through a processor, I think we
- 2:51:54Speaker 3: should do it this way. I'm thinking through the scope
- 2:51:57Speaker 3: of Sherman instead looking through the scope of is this
- 2:52:02Speaker 3: best for Scarlett? Is this best for Jill? Is this
- 2:52:05Speaker 3: even taking Jill's thoughts and feelings into consideration in this moment,
- 2:52:11Speaker 3: And so be a good teammate, Dude, be a good teammate.
- 2:52:16Speaker 3: I love that.
- 2:52:16Speaker 2: And that's it. That's it good, so good.
- 2:52:21Speaker 3: So I miss Will.
- 2:52:24Speaker 2: I'll say it.
- 2:52:24Speaker 3: I miss I was texting a little bit during the pod.
- 2:52:29Speaker 3: He wasn't able to hop on the phone, but I
- 2:52:31Speaker 3: miss him a lot. We had a funkal an sty
- 2:52:35Speaker 3: six er, a goomber ratsh st.
- 2:52:37Speaker 2: Sixer and wait was that at me?
- 2:52:43Speaker 3: Was was that point when I whispered judgmental? So only
- 2:52:45Speaker 3: the guy with the headphones on could hear it?
- 2:52:47Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 2:52:47Speaker 3: Oh okay, oh oh not men in a judgmental way.
- 2:52:51Speaker 3: I just made you're a young buddy. Oh I meant
- 2:52:53Speaker 3: you're judgmental towards Will? No ya you know I love
- 2:52:58Speaker 3: will you like it? Anyways? This was a great show.
- 2:53:02Speaker 3: This was a great show.
- 2:53:03Speaker 2: We held it together. We did a solo pod. We
