- 0:57Speaker 5: Hi.
- 0:57Speaker 3: Gina Grad is here.
- 0:58Speaker 6: Hi.

- 1:13Speaker 3: us over to 22987 with whatever you got. We'll get
- 1:17Speaker 3: into all the trending news headlines. Birthdays, porno birthday coming
- 1:19Speaker 3: up here in a minute. Also a round of do
- 1:22Speaker 3: you buy it?
- 1:22Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I don't know if you believe this. We might have
- 1:25Speaker 3: brought this up before. And if we did, I apologize.
- 1:30Speaker 3: But there's another wrinkle to it that I know we
- 1:31Speaker 3: haven't discussed before. Okay. And I thought of Greg when Oh, big.
- 1:36Speaker 3: When I saw it.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:36Speaker 3: So that's why I wanted to bring it up. But today,
- 1:38Speaker 3: August 26th, today is National Dog Day.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Oh!
- 1:43Speaker 1: Yay!
- 1:43Speaker 3: I'm happy! Yeah, it's National Dog Day. Shout out to dogs.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Today is National Day of Repentance.
- 1:49Speaker 7: Okay. Repent, everybody.
- 1:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:52Speaker 3: It's... Oh, Seabass, you should already know this.
- 1:54Speaker 4: What is today?
- 1:55Speaker 3: National Love a Woman Day. You know what? It has
- 1:58Speaker 3: to do with women. Thank you. It is... Women's Equality Day. Yes, queen.
- 2:04Speaker 3: That's every day. I figured you already knew that. That's
- 2:06Speaker 3: because every day is. Yeah. Anakana, he is the lead
- 2:10Speaker 3: feminist here.
- 2:10Speaker 4: He is.
- 2:11Speaker 5: And I like to say women should get more than equality.
- 2:13Speaker 5: They've had it too hard for too long.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Superiority.
- 2:15Speaker 3: Yeah, yes.
- 2:16Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 2:16Speaker 3: All right. Today is National Cherry Popsicle Day.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Meh.
- 2:20Speaker 3: Greg, today is National Toilet Paper Day. Oh, great. And
- 2:24Speaker 3: it's because today, for men as you, today in history,
- 2:26Speaker 3: today in 1871- The first roll of toilet paper was sold. Oh, rip. Yeah. Literally.
- 2:35Speaker 4: They used corn cobs up until then?
- 2:37Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I heard. Corn cobs.
- 2:40Speaker 4: Random leaves.
- 2:41Speaker 3: Whatever. Now, if you look at the patent application for
- 2:45Speaker 3: the perforated toilet paper or whatever- it's supposed to go over.
- 2:50Speaker 7: Yeah, they say bangs, not mullet.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:53Speaker 7: Over, not under.
- 2:53Speaker 3: I don't understand. I mean, unless you're lazy and you
- 2:56Speaker 3: just don't care and you put it on there and
- 2:58Speaker 3: you'll just spin it around until it starts dropping down.
- 3:01Speaker 3: But what sense does it make to do the under?
- 3:04Speaker 3: I don't know. You can't tell me it's convenient. Yeah,
- 3:07Speaker 3: you're just not paying attention. You're just that lazy.
- 3:09Speaker 4: And you just want to argue with somebody.
- 3:11Speaker 3: Right. All right, so here, do you buy it? One
- 3:14Speaker 3: of your favorites, Mila Kunis. I do love her. That
- 3:17Speaker 3: was one of the first things that made me think
- 3:18Speaker 3: about Greg, because Greg does love him some Mila Kunis.
- 3:22Speaker 3: I sure do.
- 3:22Speaker 4: She's been in some of the greatest movies ever.
- 3:24Speaker 3: Now, do you like that 70s show?
- 3:26Speaker 4: You know what? Never watched it. I only like her movie.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Well, Greg, you.
- 3:34Speaker 4: Bad Moms is the best.
- 3:34Speaker 3: And Mila Kunis have something in common.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Oh.
- 3:37Speaker 3: Okay. Now, this isn't new. I have seen this video
- 3:40Speaker 3: pop up before, but it's just another example of something
- 3:43Speaker 3: I never believe. Mila Kunis makes this claim, and this
- 3:46Speaker 3: is her interview on the Rich Eisen show.
- 3:49Speaker 9: I've never seen a single episode of that 70s show.
- 3:52Speaker 3: Get out of here.
- 3:53Speaker 7: Not one.
- 3:54Speaker 9: And so the problem with that is I have no
- 3:57Speaker 9: recollection of anything that I shot.
- 4:00Speaker 3: When did you know that show was a major hit?
- 4:02Speaker 3: I don't think I did.
- 4:04Speaker 9: I was very naive. I didn't know it was a
- 4:06Speaker 9: hit until I knew what my bank account was. And
- 4:10Speaker 9: I didn't know what my bank account was until I
- 4:12Speaker 9: was 18. And I was moving out. My dad's like, look,
- 4:14Speaker 9: I need to sit you down. We need to talk
- 4:15Speaker 9: about your finances. And I was like, I don't care.
- 4:17Speaker 9: And he goes, you have to sit down and listen
- 4:19Speaker 9: to me. And then he like showed me my finances.
- 4:22Speaker 9: And I was like, it was just like icing on
- 4:27Speaker 9: the cake, but could care less.
- 4:29Speaker 3: I totally believe her.
- 4:31Speaker 10: Yeah, because she actually worked at the pharmacy when she
- 4:35Speaker 10: was still doing the TV show because her family owned
- 4:38Speaker 10: a pharmacy.
- 4:38Speaker 3: I just don't know how you... To say that you
- 4:42Speaker 3: didn't watch all of them, I believe that. But to
- 4:44Speaker 3: say you've never watched one of them, I don't believe that.
- 4:47Speaker 3: I do.
- 4:48Speaker 4: She's very trustworthy.
- 4:49Speaker 3: I don't believe... I don't know. I just don't believe
- 4:52Speaker 3: that you can spend that much time doing anything, like
- 4:55Speaker 3: creating something, whatever you're creating. And then you say... Yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 3: I never I never watched or I never listened to. Yeah,
- 5:02Speaker 3: she probably watched certain takes, but didn't sit down and
- 5:05Speaker 3: watch an episode. She said she doesn't remember any line
- 5:08Speaker 3: from it. She can't tell you any dialogue. She's never
- 5:10Speaker 3: watched it. So I find that, you know, when people
- 5:14Speaker 3: say that, I don't I have a hard time believing
- 5:16Speaker 3: that it very well could be true. I just have
- 5:19Speaker 3: a hard time believing. You didn't watch once. Now, people say, well, Woody,
- 5:23Speaker 3: you've never heard your own show. No, I have. But
- 5:27Speaker 3: I don't, on a regular basis, go back and listen
- 5:31Speaker 3: to the podcast. I never listen to the podcast. Well,
- 5:33Speaker 3: I can't say I never. 99% of the time, I
- 5:36Speaker 3: never listen to the podcast unless somebody says, hey, what
- 5:39Speaker 3: happened with Tyler's lemonade stand or whatever thing that we're
- 5:44Speaker 3: talking about or doing? And then I'll go back and
- 5:47Speaker 3: I'll go, here, check this out. And I'll pull it up.
- 5:49Speaker 3: But for me, myself, and going back and listen to it, no.
- 5:52Speaker 3: So is it possible? Yes. But for me to say
- 5:54Speaker 3: I've never heard it would be a lie. I'm more
- 5:58Speaker 3: worried about not knowing your money you were making. Well,
- 6:01Speaker 3: you're a kid, right?
- 6:03Speaker 7: She's living with her parents.
- 6:04Speaker 11: And she had very strict parents.
- 6:05Speaker 3: Yeah, she goes into that a little bit more. They
- 6:08Speaker 3: were talking more about the money thing. So she was psyched, obviously,
- 6:11Speaker 3: when she found out how much she made. So Rich
- 6:14Speaker 3: Eisen followed up with this question here. So you didn't
- 6:16Speaker 3: know what was in your bank account from that 70s
- 6:18Speaker 3: show until your dad sat you down.
- 6:19Speaker 9: I did not know what was in my bank account
- 6:21Speaker 9: from the age of nine. I never, I had parents
- 6:24Speaker 9: that took all my money, put in the bank account.
- 6:26Speaker 9: Like I have incredible parents. They worked full time. They
- 6:28Speaker 9: had real jobs, like their own jobs. If I ever
- 6:31Speaker 9: needed money as a kid, we had a drawer in
- 6:33Speaker 9: the house that I would just like open and take
- 6:35Speaker 9: like 20 bucks, 40 bucks, whatever. Like it was an
- 6:37Speaker 9: open line of dialogue. And so I never had. I didn't,
- 6:41Speaker 9: I never thought about it.
- 6:42Speaker 3: That's so funny. I had the same thought when I
- 6:44Speaker 3: heard that clip. I'm like, wow, this is, this must be,
- 6:46Speaker 3: did your, did your family have a money drawer, Sammy?
- 6:52Speaker 11: Because I'm young enough where we had cards by then, right?
- 6:55Speaker 11: There wasn't a money drawer.
- 6:56Speaker 3: She did mention that she had the, the card.
- 6:58Speaker 10: Right.
- 6:59Speaker 6: Yes.
- 6:59Speaker 12: But Mila Kunis was in like Lisa Frank commercials and
- 7:02Speaker 12: stuff when she was younger.
- 7:03Speaker 11: So yeah, she was in a lot of stuff.
- 7:04Speaker 5: And she, I didn't realize either. She started both Family
- 7:07Speaker 5: Guy and that 70s show when she was 15 years old.
- 7:10Speaker 5: So that's, Those are two big six-figure hits.
- 7:14Speaker 3: So, Greg, go online and type in Mila Kunis net worth.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Net worth. I'm surprised you haven't done that already. I'm
- 7:19Speaker 3: sure I have.
- 7:20Speaker 4: I just haven't memorized it.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Forgetting Sarah Marshall, because that was a good movie.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 7:26Speaker 11: Friends with Benefits.
- 7:27Speaker 3: Great. Well, that 70s show was a great show. So
- 7:30Speaker 3: why would she have watched that movie and not that
- 7:32Speaker 3: 70s show? Good question.
- 7:33Speaker 7: She was too busy dating.
- 7:35Speaker 3: $ 75 million. Nice. That seems low. Would you go fully
- 7:40Speaker 3: straight for Mila Kunis? Absolutely. Like, you had to marry her,
- 7:43Speaker 3: live with her, only hook up with her?
- 7:44Speaker 4: A hundred percent.
- 7:45Speaker 3: Yeah, he would.
- 7:46Speaker 1: I love her.
- 7:46Speaker 3: I mean, he'd draw a mustache on her or something.
- 7:49Speaker 3: you know what i mean no she's hot he would
- 7:52Speaker 3: get he would get a set of truck nuts like
- 7:53Speaker 3: you would normally put on a car i would totally
- 7:55Speaker 3: go back maybe yeah get rid of that ashton character.
- 7:58Speaker 10: And this is definitely uh a sign that no one
- 8:01Speaker 10: listens to this show because you share this many times
- 8:04Speaker 10: and she was here not too long ago and no
- 8:07Speaker 10: one told you no she hung out all day oh
- 8:10Speaker 10: well did you tell him I found out later.
- 8:12Speaker 3: No one told me.
- 8:13Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 8:13Speaker 3: You know what? I probably shouldn't be here.
- 8:15Speaker 1: What?
- 8:15Speaker 3: Nobody told us anything? I know.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Crazy.
- 8:17Speaker 3: That's weird. What?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 8:19Speaker 3: Jeff, are you surprised by that? Because before you worked here,
- 8:22Speaker 3: you probably just assumed that we knew about everything. We
- 8:24Speaker 3: try to tell people that all the time. You want
- 8:26Speaker 3: to see what not a big deal looks like? Come
- 8:28Speaker 3: hang out here for five minutes. But now that you've
- 8:29Speaker 3: been here for over a couple months now.
- 8:32Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 3: Do you see it? Are we exaggerating at all? No, no, no.
- 8:36Speaker 13: And I come from a place where nobody cares either,
- 8:39Speaker 13: so it's just consistency.
- 8:40Speaker 3: It's more of the same, right? It's more of the same.
- 8:42Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 8:43Speaker 13: But I'd be surprised because you guys are a big deal,
- 8:46Speaker 13: and the fact that no one talks to you is
- 8:47Speaker 13: pretty crazy.
- 8:48Speaker 3: It's weird. Yeah. Yeah, it's really weird. People think like, oh, man,
- 8:51Speaker 3: you guys are so... No, I don't.
- 8:53Speaker 1: No.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Yeah, they really roll out the red carpet. Coming out
- 8:56Speaker 3: here for five minutes.
- 8:58Speaker 4: All right.

- 9:16Speaker 4: Oh, I didn't know that.
- 9:17Speaker 3: While she was on that 70s show, she was dating him.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Doesn't he seem nuclear gay to anybody else? No, he
- 9:35Speaker 3: just seems nuclear odd. He's very odd. Yeah, just odd. Like,
- 9:38Speaker 3: not uncool, like he'd be a dick or something, but
- 9:41Speaker 3: just quirky. No, he's had a strange life. Just odd.

- 10:34Speaker 4: but when I hear about Chris Burke, I think of you.

- 10:37Speaker 4: I appreciate that.

- 12:18Speaker 3: It's another new hour. We are The Woody Show. Woody, Greg.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Hi.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Menace. What is up?
- 12:29Speaker 1: Hi.
- 12:30Speaker 3: And Gina Grant.
- 12:31Speaker 10: Hi.
- 12:31Speaker 3: She's got the trending news headlines.
- 12:33Speaker 7: Well, country music legend Dolly Parton has died at 80
- 12:37Speaker 7: years old after what's being reported as kidney issues and
- 12:40Speaker 7: a very short battle with cancer. Dolly's career lasted more
- 12:43Speaker 7: than 60 years. She did it all. Grammy-winning musician, movie star,
- 12:47Speaker 7: theme park owner that rules, by the way, and one
- 12:50Speaker 7: of the most loved celebrities on the planet. She sold
- 12:54Speaker 7: more than 100 million records. She was inducted into both
- 12:57Speaker 7: the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and
- 12:59Speaker 7: Roll Hall of Fame. And outside of music, her imagination
- 13:02Speaker 7: library has given hundreds of millions of free books to
- 13:05Speaker 7: kids around the world. So a lot of kids really
- 13:07Speaker 7: just know her as the book lady. And I– oh,
- 13:12Speaker 7: there's a small movement happening that they want September 25th
- 13:15Speaker 7: to be Dolly Parton Day.
- 13:16Speaker 6: 925.
- 13:17Speaker 4: There you go.
- 13:17Speaker 7: That makes sense. I knew somebody would get it right
- 13:20Speaker 7: off the bat.
- 13:20Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Let's do it.
- 13:22Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 13:23Speaker 7: I have kind of a hot take on her passing.
- 13:25Speaker 7: You know how whenever a celebrity dies, everybody has to
- 13:27Speaker 7: pull rank on who's the biggest fan and who loved
- 13:30Speaker 7: them longest? And yes, I have been a Dolly superfan
- 13:33Speaker 7: for a million years. But I think this affects everybody.
- 13:37Speaker 7: Everyone's sad because this is like the last celebrity, in
- 13:39Speaker 7: my opinion, that truly bonded the country together. I can't
- 13:44Speaker 7: think of anybody else that everybody loved, no matter how
- 13:47Speaker 7: divided they were on everything else.
- 13:49Speaker 3: I'd have to think on that.
- 13:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:50Speaker 3: There's got to be... I don't know.
- 13:55Speaker 4: John Candy, but he was Canadian.
- 13:56Speaker 3: Who's the next person that everybody's going to freak out about?
- 14:00Speaker 7: I can't think of anyone.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Drewski?
- 14:01Speaker 4: Good question.
- 14:02Speaker 7: Maybe I'm just blinded with sadness, but I think she
- 14:05Speaker 7: was the last pin holding us all together.
- 14:07Speaker 3: Here's some After Hours voicemails that people left us.
- 14:10Speaker 2: This is for Gina. I just heard about Dolly Parton,
- 14:14Speaker 2: and I'm so sorry for your loss. I know you
- 14:17Speaker 2: didn't know her, but you're a big fan, and there's
- 14:20Speaker 2: nothing worse than somebody you idolize passing. And then recently
- 14:25Speaker 2: with your uncle passing. So I just want to send
- 14:27Speaker 2: my love and prayers to you. I hope you're doing
- 14:30Speaker 2: all right. I know you got it covered. Take care
- 14:32Speaker 2: of yourself.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Isn't that nice? Here's another one. All right, listen. Sammy,
- 14:41Speaker 3: I'm so sorry about, you know, the big. What's your name?
- 14:49Speaker 3: A bond check. Dolly Parton.
- 14:52Speaker 8: Oh, man.
- 14:53Speaker 3: What an American legend.
- 14:54Speaker 5: Too bad she went away too fast.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Too fast?
- 14:57Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 14:58Speaker 3: Oh, well.
- 15:00Speaker 8: Oh.
- 15:01Speaker 5: Anyway, I just want to give my condolences.
- 15:03Speaker 1: All right.
- 15:04Speaker 7: Sammy O'Connor.
- 15:04Speaker 2: Because I know that she's, like, super, like, white trash
- 15:07Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Okay, bye. All right, bye. There's a little confusion there.
- 15:13Speaker 3: A little confusion. It's okay.
- 15:15Speaker 7: We get the very nice side of it.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:17Speaker 3: And then also, very nice, and this is definitely not AI,
- 15:22Speaker 3: but Seabass made a tribute song for Dolly Parton.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Here we go.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Dolly, Dolly, Dolly, Dolly.
- 15:33Speaker 5: We're thanking you for having such great camps.
- 15:40Speaker 16: Not beats, not seats.
- 15:42Speaker 3: They're probably triple D's.
- 15:45Speaker 14: You sang great, but let's not forget your memories.
- 15:52Speaker 3: Yeah, so there I go. That's a very sweet tribute.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Definitely not AI.
- 15:57Speaker 7: No, that was originally how it was written.
- 16:00Speaker 3: Now, when you hear that, and you know that Sea
- 16:02Speaker 3: Bass pumped all that stuff into AI, how do you
- 16:04Speaker 3: make the argument that AI did not learn or train
- 16:08Speaker 3: off of Dolly's voice and music? You don't. You can't.
- 16:10Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 16:12Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah.
- 16:13Speaker 3: You can.
- 16:14Speaker 4: And for all the celebrities weighing in and giving their comments,
- 16:17Speaker 4: here's an idea. Be more like Dolly.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:18Speaker 3: Thank you. Don't be diva a-holes.
- 16:21Speaker 4: Just be cool.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Right.
- 16:23Speaker 7: Yes. Well, Jeffrey Epstein's main hoe, Ghislaine Maxwell, was trying
- 16:27Speaker 7: to vacate her conviction and prison sentence, but a federal
- 16:30Speaker 7: judge said, get out of here with that. They ruled
- 16:32Speaker 7: that her claim was meritless and frivolous. She claimed prosecutors
- 16:37Speaker 7: failed to disclose information that could have helped her. She
- 16:39Speaker 7: argued that newly available records exposed inconsistencies that had jurors
- 16:43Speaker 7: known all of this, quote, no reasonable juror would have
- 16:47Speaker 7: convicted her. She claimed attorneys representing Epstein's accusers effectively functioned
- 16:52Speaker 7: as de facto prosecutors and agents of the government, comprising
- 16:56Speaker 7: her due process right, compromising rather her due process rights.
- 16:59Speaker 3: So it worked, right?
- 17:00Speaker 7: I mean, I guess. And that the government conducted an
- 17:03Speaker 7: inadequate investigation.
- 17:05Speaker 3: I'm saying like her plea here, her. No, no, no, no, no.
- 17:08Speaker 3: It didn't work.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Oh, OK.
- 17:09Speaker 3: So she stays in prison.
- 17:10Speaker 7: She stays in prison for another 11 years.
- 17:12Speaker 1: OK.
- 17:13Speaker 7: So not that anyone's counting, but almost 11 years.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 17:16Speaker 7: And remember yesterday when we talked about that NFL player
- 17:19Speaker 7: getting cut and then heading back to college football?
- 17:21Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 17:22Speaker 7: Well, the Big Ten saw that and said, nah, dog.
- 17:25Speaker 7: The conference unanimously passed a new rule saying that if
- 17:28Speaker 7: you've signed a professional contract, appeared on a pro roster,
- 17:31Speaker 7: or declared for the NFL draft, you cannot come back and.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Play in the Big Ten. Yeah, it's like kill the dreams, man.
- 17:35Speaker 3: Once you cross over, it's done. Haters.
- 17:39Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 17:39Speaker 3: It's not haters. That's the way it should be. Yeah, loopholes. Yeah,
- 17:43Speaker 3: you're out of college. You've moved on. You know, although
- 17:46Speaker 3: they have those, you know, like old people that go
- 17:48Speaker 3: back and they get their degree. I'm one of them. No,
- 17:51Speaker 3: but you know what I mean? I mean like old people.
- 17:53Speaker 7: Yeah, like great grandparents.
- 17:54Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah.
- 17:55Speaker 10: It would be interesting if they said, hey. You can't play,
- 17:58Speaker 10: but you can still come back to.
- 17:59Speaker 3: Go to school and see what they say.
- 18:01Speaker 4: Just take classes.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Yeah, which they can do. Yeah, they're welcome to. I mean,
- 18:06Speaker 3: you said you want to go back to school.
- 18:07Speaker 7: Yeah, you want to go to school so bad, right?
- 18:09Speaker 7: And as we talked about, this all became a thing
- 18:11Speaker 7: after Daquan Wright was waived by the Browns and made
- 18:14Speaker 7: a deal to go back to LSU. So it looks
- 18:16Speaker 7: like every conference is going to have its own rules
- 18:18Speaker 7: until the courts just sort all this crap out. And
- 18:21Speaker 7: more bad news for NFL players. A new study says
- 18:24Speaker 7: that the former NFL players who died between 2016 and
- 18:28Speaker 7: 2021 found evidence of CTE in one out of every
- 18:31Speaker 7: four players studied. That's much higher than what researchers found
- 18:35Speaker 7: in regular old non-football players. So CTE, as most of
- 18:40Speaker 7: us know now, is caused by repeated blows to the head,
- 18:43Speaker 7: and it can only be diagnosed after you die. That's
- 18:45Speaker 7: why so many people say, you know, you can you know,
- 18:47Speaker 7: I'll donate my brain to science after this.
- 18:49Speaker 4: I'm surprised the number's not higher, actually.
- 18:51Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah.
- 18:52Speaker 3: I'm surprised they haven't figured out a way to see
- 18:54Speaker 3: before you die.
- 18:55Speaker 7: I know.
- 18:56Speaker 3: It'd be nice. Like, when you look at MRIs, pretty cool. Like,
- 18:59Speaker 3: those slices. Yeah. You know, slice, slice, slice. And you'd
- 19:03Speaker 3: see so much, like, at such a level in such detail. Like,
- 19:07Speaker 3: how can they only see, yeah, how can they only
- 19:10Speaker 3: see something like.
- 19:10Speaker 7: That after death? They gotta have to cut you open
- 19:14Speaker 7: to find that.
- 19:15Speaker 3: Like, rabies, too. Like, Whatever, it's got to be dead.
- 19:18Speaker 3: The animal, it's got to be dead before they can...
- 19:20Speaker 3: Before they confirm.
- 19:22Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 19:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:22Speaker 8: Why?
- 19:22Speaker 3: That's weird.
- 19:23Speaker 7: Maybe because they don't want to get rabies while they're checking.
- 19:26Speaker 3: You know what I mean? Like, why?
- 19:27Speaker 4: That and then Lewy body dementia, right?
- 19:29Speaker 1: Yes.
- 19:29Speaker 4: Isn't that the same?
- 19:30Speaker 7: Exactly, yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 3: Easy case than that.
- 19:31Speaker 4: Very weird. But this, I'm surprised it's not higher because
- 19:34Speaker 4: if you... I mean, anybody who watches football, one tackle
- 19:37Speaker 4: would kill most people.
- 19:39Speaker 7: Absolutely.
- 19:39Speaker 3: It's shocking.
- 19:40Speaker 7: And where are we at? Because I don't know. Where
- 19:42Speaker 7: are we at with the technology for football helmets?
- 19:45Speaker 4: Well, they made those bigger ones for a while.
- 19:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 19:48Speaker 3: A lot of guys refused to wear them.
- 19:49Speaker 7: Because they're dumb looking?
- 19:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Well, no, you see more of the players wearing them now.
- 19:53Speaker 3: It's kind of like how we never wore helmets to
- 19:56Speaker 3: ride bikes as kids, right? True. Yeah. And now all
- 19:58Speaker 3: of a sudden, years later, as the younger generations come up,
- 20:02Speaker 3: They don't care as much about that. They don't see
- 20:04Speaker 3: it the same way that our friends and we saw it.
- 20:07Speaker 3: And so now you're seeing a lot more of the
- 20:09Speaker 3: younger players wearing those big– it's goofy. It almost looks
- 20:12Speaker 3: like some kind of cartoonish video game. Yeah.
- 20:15Speaker 7: But you know what else is goofy? Getting CT.
- 20:17Speaker 3: Yeah. That's pretty goofy. Well, don't get hit. Just keep
- 20:20Speaker 3: on running.
- 20:20Speaker 5: Right?
- 20:21Speaker 7: And finally, this dude in Florida has been arrested after
- 20:24Speaker 7: starting a fight with a teenager at Chuck E. Cheese.
- 20:27Speaker 7: So listen to this. There's a lot of twists and
- 20:29Speaker 7: turns to this story.
- 20:30Speaker 3: Nothing new.
- 20:31Speaker 7: Cops say this guy showed up while the teen was working,
- 20:34Speaker 7: grabbed him from behind and dragged him to the ground.
- 20:37Speaker 7: And then they just started scuffling. And this is where
- 20:39Speaker 7: it gets really crazy. The teen working at Chuck E.
- 20:41Speaker 7: Cheese has a kid on the way with this dude,
- 20:44Speaker 7: this grown man dude's ex. The whole fight was caught
- 20:48Speaker 7: on surveillance cameras. And wait, it gets worse because that
- 20:51Speaker 7: dude was arrested later that night on child abuse charges
- 20:54Speaker 7: because it was a teenager. So he's screwed. And sorry,
- 20:59Speaker 7: it didn't work out with his ex.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Yeah, we've talked about this before. And my take on the,
- 21:03Speaker 3: you know, you get mad when you find out you've
- 21:05Speaker 3: been cheated on.
- 21:06Speaker 4: Right.
- 21:07Speaker 3: So let's just say for the sake of argument, my
- 21:09Speaker 3: wife cheats on me. I'm going to go out and
- 21:12Speaker 3: I'm going to beat up the guy.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Why?
- 21:13Speaker 3: Or even, you know what? Even be mad at the
- 21:16Speaker 3: guy who hooked up with my wife. I wasn't in
- 21:20Speaker 3: a relationship with that guy.
- 21:22Speaker 7: He may not have even known.
- 21:23Speaker 3: Unless it's your friend, like your buddy's banging your wife.
- 21:26Speaker 3: That's different. Like, dude, you're my friend. Right, right, right.
- 21:29Speaker 3: That you had a relationship with that person. But if
- 21:32Speaker 3: it's just some rando that they work with or this
- 21:36Speaker 3: person you didn't know, like, It's not on them. They
- 21:38Speaker 3: have no contract with you.
- 21:39Speaker 4: And we all know your wife would tell the guy,
- 21:41Speaker 4: I'm not married.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Your wife is an independent woman. You know what I mean?
- 21:45Speaker 3: She can make her own decisions.
- 21:47Speaker 7: But you don't want to hit her, so you got
- 21:48Speaker 7: to go find a guy to hit.
- 21:50Speaker 3: Well, you know.
- 21:51Speaker 7: You may want to.
- 21:51Speaker 3: I'm saying if you're going to hit somebody, I understand
- 21:55Speaker 3: beating her ass before you beat the other guy's ass.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Because you didn't have a deal. You didn't have any
- 21:59Speaker 3: kind of contract, arrangement, marriage with this guy. Your arrangement
- 22:04Speaker 3: was with the other person.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Right.
- 22:06Speaker 3: Be mad.
- 22:07Speaker 4: At them.
- 22:08Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:08Speaker 11: I do have a question on this Chuck E. Cheese story, though.
- 22:11Speaker 11: The kid was a teenager, but it was this adult's ex.
- 22:14Speaker 11: So was she a.
- 22:15Speaker 3: Pedophile, essentially?
- 22:16Speaker 15: I don't understand.
- 22:17Speaker 7: Maybe he was 17.
- 22:17Speaker 11: Where is she falling in this whole thing?
- 22:19Speaker 3: Don't worry about her.
- 22:21Speaker 7: She's an innocent victim, right, Sammy?
- 22:22Speaker 3: The age information. Is it one of those that depends
- 22:24Speaker 3: on how hot she is?
- 22:25Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:26Speaker 3: People turn a blind eye like, oh, well. Not guilty.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Not guilty. More like a high five. Nice. Well, that's
- 22:32Speaker 3: what's going on.
- 22:33Speaker 1: All right.
- 22:34Speaker 3: Thank you very much, Gina Grad. Greg is one of
- 22:36Speaker 3: the smartest people I know. And for certain things, one
- 22:39Speaker 3: of the dumbest people I know.
- 22:40Speaker 4: Really dumb.
- 22:41Speaker 6: Am I going crazy?
- 22:42Speaker 4: Am I that dumb?
- 22:44Speaker 3: I don't have that other side where you're really smart.
- 22:47Speaker 3: The Woody Show.
- 22:47Speaker 16: Well, I know my thoughts about.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Being a teacher changed dramatically from when I was a kid.
- 23:00Speaker 3: And when I was a kid, I thought, man, it'd
- 23:01Speaker 3: be cool to be a teacher.
- 23:03Speaker 4: It did look kind of cool.
- 23:04Speaker 3: All the power. Yeah, I saw them as having a
- 23:06Speaker 3: lot of power, authority. I thought the teacher's lounge would
- 23:09Speaker 3: be cool.
- 23:10Speaker 7: Oh, hell yeah.
- 23:11Speaker 1: VIP.
- 23:11Speaker 3: I thought the same thing.
- 23:12Speaker 8: Right?
- 23:13Speaker 4: Yeah, it always smelled like coffee and cigarettes.
- 23:16Speaker 1: Yes.
- 23:16Speaker 4: Nobody's allowed in there.
- 23:17Speaker 3: When we would be on the buses on a field trip,
- 23:21Speaker 3: they got to stand up.
- 23:23Speaker 6: Mm-hmm.
- 23:24Speaker 3: I thought that was cool.
- 23:25Speaker 7: How awesome is that?
- 23:27Speaker 3: It's funny. It's so weird how impressed you are about it. Yeah,
- 23:30Speaker 3: when you were a kid, you know what was also
- 23:33Speaker 3: weird to me? And it was years later, I got
- 23:37Speaker 3: invited to go speak at my elementary.
- 23:40Speaker 4: School that I had gone to.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Like where my kindergarten was. And it was like for
- 23:46Speaker 3: one of these, like, what do you want to be
- 23:47Speaker 3: when you grow up kind of things? And the teacher
- 23:49Speaker 3: who I knew said, who invited me, she's like, oh,
- 23:53Speaker 3: just tell kids about, you know, radio and media and cool.
- 23:56Speaker 3: So I went in there. Hadn't been in that school
- 23:58Speaker 3: in a billion years. And I remember it being so big.
- 24:01Speaker 7: I knew you were going to say that.
- 24:03Speaker 3: Everything's tiny. And then I went back to the room
- 24:06Speaker 3: because I remember the kindergarten classroom. This is the story
- 24:09Speaker 3: I told about, you know, now my now stepsister. This
- 24:13Speaker 3: is before our parents were married and together. We were
- 24:16Speaker 3: in the same class. and we hated each other. She
- 24:19Speaker 3: was just another kid. And I got into like a
- 24:22Speaker 3: scuffle with her as a kindergartner because of this like
- 24:25Speaker 3: jungle gym playground thing in this classroom. So I remember
- 24:28Speaker 3: it being this big classroom I went in there. I'm like, wow,
- 24:32Speaker 3: could you even get a standup shower and a toilet
- 24:34Speaker 3: in this place? This would barely make a good powder room, Greg.
- 24:37Speaker 3: It's weird, right? Yeah.
- 24:38Speaker 4: It was so weird.
- 24:39Speaker 3: And the chairs are so tiny and everything just, you know,
- 24:42Speaker 3: felt so big.
- 24:44Speaker 7: Your knees are up to your nose when you sit
- 24:45Speaker 7: in those.
- 24:46Speaker 3: Old Rick Moranis movie, honey, I shrunk the kids. Yeah.
- 24:49Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:49Speaker 3: It felt like that.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Even the driveway leading to my school seemed like Mount.
- 24:53Speaker 3: Everest, so steep.
- 24:54Speaker 4: And now you go back, you're like, I had to
- 24:56Speaker 4: walk my bike up that hill?
- 24:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 24:58Speaker 4: It's barely a slope.
- 24:59Speaker 3: It's a tilt. I wouldn't want to be a teacher now. Yeah.
- 25:02Speaker 3: It's that and mover. I think of the top two,
- 25:06Speaker 3: I'm like, ooh, that would just every day. Not fun.
- 25:09Speaker 3: Every day you wake up to go move somebody else's stuff.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Yeah, again.
- 25:12Speaker 3: The idea of you moving yourself is always miserable, but
- 25:14Speaker 3: imagine that's what your day in, day out is.
- 25:17Speaker 7: It's not even your stuff. These days, I would say
- 25:19Speaker 7: teacher and cop are probably the two professions that have
- 25:22Speaker 7: taken the biggest nosedive when it's like, that's what I
- 25:24Speaker 7: want to be when I grow up.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I think cop in a small, quiet town could
- 25:28Speaker 3: still be- Yes, like Mayberry.
- 25:29Speaker 4: Could be, yeah.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Depending on what the retirement is. My uncle was a
- 25:33Speaker 3: cop in a small, quiet town, and he worked there for,
- 25:36Speaker 3: I forget, three decades or whatever, and he retired at
- 25:38Speaker 3: like 15. 50 something years old, full pension.
- 25:43Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 25:43Speaker 7: I'm back in.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Every once in a while he has to go do
- 25:46Speaker 3: something where he shows up at a fire station and
- 25:48Speaker 3: people come by to get their child seats checked out. Nice.
- 25:51Speaker 3: To make sure they're installed properly. And he still does
- 25:54Speaker 3: that like in retirement. Yeah. That's great.
- 25:57Speaker 10: I do feel bad for firefighters because I feel like
- 25:59Speaker 10: their job has expanded to like in big cities dealing
- 26:03Speaker 10: with like homeless people and, Like a lot of medical stuff.
- 26:06Speaker 3: Well, yeah, it depends on what city you're in. They'll
- 26:09Speaker 3: have to send the fire department. They can't just send
- 26:13Speaker 3: the ambulance and maybe a police officer.
- 26:15Speaker 7: Yeah, there's always a giant truck with them.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Yeah, like the fire department has to show up for
- 26:19Speaker 3: every stupid call. It seems like a waste of time
- 26:20Speaker 3: and resource.
- 26:21Speaker 7: I don't get that.
- 26:22Speaker 3: I've never got that. a set paramedic or a set EMT,
- 26:28Speaker 3: you know, ambulance kind of stuff. They're the EMT. Right.
- 26:31Speaker 1: True.
- 26:32Speaker 10: There needs to be like a separate department.
- 26:34Speaker 3: Now for all that.
- 26:34Speaker 7: Or at least a separate car.
- 26:36Speaker 10: Let the firefighters fight fires.
- 26:38Speaker 3: How's school going so far?
- 26:40Speaker 7: He loves it. He got the teacher he wanted, except
- 26:43Speaker 7: what we're at just a few days into the school year.
- 26:45Speaker 7: And we were already told by him yesterday that the
- 26:47Speaker 7: teacher said he's going to move his desk today.
- 26:49Speaker 3: Because of the talking. He's talking too much?
- 26:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 26:53Speaker 7: He blamed the other kid. He said, he's always talking
- 26:55Speaker 7: to me. I go, then why did you get in trouble?
- 26:57Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Because he talks with him. He doesn't want to be
- 27:01Speaker 3: the kid that goes, no, we're not supposed to be talking.
- 27:03Speaker 7: Okay, that's true. And he's not a narc because I suggested,
- 27:05Speaker 7: like an idiot, I go, well, what if you went
- 27:08Speaker 7: into class early today and told the teacher, like, you know,
- 27:10Speaker 7: he's talking. He's like, no, I wouldn't do that.
- 27:12Speaker 3: I wouldn't rat him out.
- 27:13Speaker 7: I was like, you're right.
- 27:13Speaker 3: Are you trying to get his, man, you really, I
- 27:16Speaker 3: think you're hellbent on getting this kid's ass kicked. Between
- 27:19Speaker 3: the theater camps. He doesn't do that anymore.
- 27:22Speaker 7: Now it's all scouts and baseball.
- 27:23Speaker 3: I'm just saying. Like you're trying so hard to get
- 27:26Speaker 3: this kid beat up. Not anymore. Not anymore.
- 27:30Speaker 7: I'm the one that got him all the cool clothes.
- 27:31Speaker 7: Doesn't that count for anything?
- 27:33Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it does. It does. Well, this mom in Kentucky,
- 27:36Speaker 3: she had a problem with a kid brought home their workbook.
- 27:40Speaker 3: And I mean, every family has to pay, I guess,
- 27:42Speaker 3: 10 bucks for these workbooks. And so the mom's looking
- 27:45Speaker 3: through it and it's just filled with a ton of
- 27:48Speaker 3: errors and Clearly this thing was generated by AI. And
- 27:52Speaker 3: so there's a, for example, there's a map of the U.S.
- 27:54Speaker 3: in there. And Kentucky is labeled Vaneki. Okay. You know
- 28:00Speaker 3: how sometimes you'll see something like an AI poster or
- 28:04Speaker 3: something and just a common word is just completely butchered.
- 28:08Speaker 8: Yes.
- 28:08Speaker 3: At a glance, maybe it kind of looks like it,
- 28:11Speaker 3: but it's nowhere close. Louisiana is Lukulung. Alabama is Altamie.
- 28:19Speaker 4: Totally.
- 28:21Speaker 3: South Carolina, South Cuanto. So here's the mom on the
- 28:26Speaker 3: TV news. She was breaking it down.
- 28:29Speaker 17: Mom, did you know that we live in Vanecchi? And
- 28:31Speaker 17: I said, what are you talking about? The periodic table
- 28:34Speaker 17: is just jarbled words. We have new planets called Mark.
- 28:38Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 28:39Speaker 17: We have to pay a $ 10 instructional fee every year
- 28:42Speaker 17: in order to get this agenda. You're making us pay
- 28:46Speaker 17: for something that you used AI for.
- 28:48Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I see why she's mad.
- 28:49Speaker 3: And he didn't even check it.
- 28:51Speaker 7: Yeah, nobody looked inside this workbook.
- 28:53Speaker 3: So she let the school know about the mistakes. They
- 28:55Speaker 3: didn't do anything about it until the news hit them
- 28:57Speaker 3: up asking for a comment.
- 28:58Speaker 7: That's always the way.
- 28:59Speaker 3: But yeah, there's a solution to fixing it. They told
- 29:01Speaker 3: the teachers and the students just to rip out any
- 29:04Speaker 3: pages that had mistakes on them. That's your answer?
- 29:08Speaker 11: Just ignore those.
- 29:09Speaker 3: That's effort right there. That's your answer? Pay no attention
- 29:12Speaker 3: to those.
- 29:13Speaker 7: And that's not a teacher thing. That's an admin office
- 29:17Speaker 7: people thing.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:19Speaker 7: That's hilarious.
- 29:20Speaker 3: We did hear about that one teacher that's got the
- 29:22Speaker 3: fart corner.
- 29:22Speaker 7: Oh, love her.
- 29:24Speaker 3: Yeah, like that's fun. You always had that fun, that
- 29:27Speaker 3: one fun teacher. Yeah. You can always look back and
- 29:29Speaker 3: think about that one really fun teacher. Yeah.
- 29:32Speaker 4: And then you always had that one mega strict one
- 29:35Speaker 4: known for being strict.
- 29:36Speaker 6: Mr.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Glass. Mr.
- 29:37Speaker 4: Vinton.
- 29:39Speaker 7: So he's a dude?
- 29:39Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Well, my school. No, one of my cooler ones was
- 29:42Speaker 3: a dude.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Mr.
- 29:43Speaker 9: Hill.
- 29:43Speaker 3: I had two.
- 29:44Speaker 10: Mr.
- 29:45Speaker 3: Hill and Mr. Hillman.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Oh.
- 29:46Speaker 3: How weird is that?
- 29:47Speaker 1: A little weird.
- 29:47Speaker 4: Because growing up, I only had two men teachers.
- 29:50Speaker 7: Yeah, I had one.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Two.
- 29:51Speaker 10: Straight.
- 29:52Speaker 8: Straight.
- 29:53Speaker 4: One was, oh no, actually both were mega gay.
- 29:55Speaker 3: It's like when you see male flight attendants.
- 29:58Speaker 8: Mr.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Fenton looked exactly like Freddie Mercury. Unless they're a gym teacher.
- 30:03Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, that's right.
- 30:04Speaker 7: Straightest guy ever.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 30:05Speaker 4: But when you're a kid and you see somebody that
- 30:07Speaker 4: looks like Freddie Mercury, he had muscles in the mustache.
- 30:09Speaker 4: I thought he was like mega macho.
- 30:13Speaker 3: Your son, I think his teacher is one of my
- 30:15Speaker 3: son's former teachers. And my son loves this guy.
- 30:18Speaker 7: Everybody begs for him.
- 30:19Speaker 3: This guy's so cool.
- 30:20Speaker 7: Yeah, this is the one that they all want.
- 30:21Speaker 3: He's great.
- 30:22Speaker 7: I'm so happy.
- 30:23Speaker 3: I bet you, like, when he has this conversation when
- 30:25Speaker 3: he's 50... He'll look back and he'll mention that dude's name.
- 30:29Speaker 3: That's the guy. Yeah, he's super cool.
- 30:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 30:32Speaker 4: That's what's so cool about teachers is you could be
- 30:35Speaker 4: 50 years old and remember your fourth grade teacher.
- 30:38Speaker 3: Oh, it's crazy.
- 30:39Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 30:39Speaker 7: And one of my mom's best friends was a teacher
- 30:41Speaker 7: for 50 years and she can't remember all the kids' names.
- 30:44Speaker 7: So everyone's just- Hi, honey.
- 30:47Speaker 3: Someone's like, what's the fart corner? Well, you might have
- 30:49Speaker 3: missed us talking about that, or you might have missed
- 30:51Speaker 3: seeing it online. You have the teacher. She told the students,
- 30:53Speaker 3: if you've got to fart, you need to walk over
- 30:55Speaker 3: to this designated corner.
- 30:57Speaker 7: With a sign.
- 30:57Speaker 3: You handle your business over there.
- 30:59Speaker 4: This is our fart corner.
- 31:01Speaker 3: This is our fart corner. That's right.
- 31:03Speaker 10: If you need to fart, simply come over here, fart,
- 31:07Speaker 10: take about 10 seconds.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Get your little spray going on. Go sit down. Nobody's
- 31:12Speaker 3: paying attention. Nobody cares. Nobody was worried about it. I
- 31:16Speaker 3: love it.
- 31:17Speaker 7: I don't know if that's true. Why are you always
- 31:19Speaker 7: in the fart corner?
- 31:20Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 31:20Speaker 3: But that is awesome. Everybody probably thinks it's funny. If
- 31:23Speaker 3: you go over there, it's to be funny.
- 31:25Speaker 5: True.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Not because you really have to fart. True.
- 31:27Speaker 4: You check this out.
- 31:28Speaker 3: Although, Sammy goes to the fart corner and the whole
- 31:30Speaker 3: room clears out.
- 31:30Speaker 7: That would be there all day.
- 31:32Speaker 3: The fart wing. That's when the fire department shows up.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Where's Sammy?
- 31:36Speaker 3: Far corner again?
- 31:37Speaker 11: Next thing I know, I'm getting in trouble for getting
- 31:39Speaker 11: up too much.
- 31:41Speaker 3: Did you guys ever have the actual fire department show
- 31:43Speaker 3: up at the school? It happened all the time because
- 31:46Speaker 3: kids would pull the fire alarm and the actual fire
- 31:48Speaker 3: department would show up and we were always praying that
- 31:50Speaker 3: the school was on fire. Because we'd be out there
- 31:53Speaker 3: and we thought it was just a regular fire drill. Right.
- 31:56Speaker 3: And we're standing out there. And the next thing you know, you're–
- 31:59Speaker 3: Line up. And where the one school was, it was
- 32:03Speaker 3: a volunteer fire department, right? So then you hear– Yeah.
- 32:06Speaker 3: It would have like a– not a tornado siren, but
- 32:08Speaker 3: the same kind of thing where it was like an
- 32:10Speaker 3: audible siren in town to let the volunteer fire– Firefighters, no.
- 32:17Speaker 7: The town siren? Oh my god.
- 32:19Speaker 3: So if there was a fire, Plainsboro, New Jersey, dude.
- 32:25Speaker 3: And next thing you know, every volunteer firefighter in town,
- 32:30Speaker 3: they would have little blue lights that they would put
- 32:32Speaker 3: on the dashboard of their pickup truck, and they'd get
- 32:35Speaker 3: to speed, which I thought was cool. That's also cool.
- 32:38Speaker 3: And there were kids in high school that were junior
- 32:42Speaker 3: members of the volunteer fire department. And so they would
- 32:45Speaker 3: have pagers oh why didn't you do it i would
- 32:49Speaker 3: have dude i joined the band to get out of class.
- 32:52Speaker 4: One year one year it sucked and they had the
- 32:54Speaker 4: lights and everything.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Yeah and then they got to run out to the
- 32:56Speaker 3: student parking lot jump in their car and haul ass
- 32:59Speaker 3: over to the uh To the Princeton Junction fire station.
- 33:02Speaker 3: I think she's drunk with power.
- 33:03Speaker 9: Like, rip.
- 33:04Speaker 3: Anyway.
- 33:04Speaker 4: I would lie and say I got called in.
- 33:06Speaker 3: As soon as you hear that thing, you're like, yes,
- 33:09Speaker 3: we're going to be out here for a while.
- 33:11Speaker 7: And the firefighter's like, you goddamn kids.
- 33:14Speaker 10: I do have a fire story involving a school that's
- 33:17Speaker 10: crazy that half-baked, right? You know, I met him because
- 33:20Speaker 10: he was an intern at this TV station I was
- 33:22Speaker 10: working at. And I was giving him a ride to
- 33:25Speaker 10: work one day. And he was talking about how he
- 33:28Speaker 10: got kicked out of this high school. And we were like,
- 33:31Speaker 10: because we're driving by it. And he's like, oh, man,
- 33:33Speaker 10: I wish that place would just burn down. The very
- 33:36Speaker 10: next day, he.
- 33:37Speaker 3: Calls me, guess what happened? Somebody burned down the school.
- 33:42Speaker 3: Burned down. Hell yeah. They caught the kids that did it.
- 33:47Speaker 3: School burned down. He wasn't involved, but it was the
- 33:51Speaker 3: next day. And you would think it was Christmas Day
- 33:54Speaker 3: for him. I wished it true.
- 33:56Speaker 6: Manifestation.
- 33:58Speaker 3: I made it happen. I put it on my vision board. Yeah,
- 34:06Speaker 3: we're talking about teachers. I was telling Gina a story
- 34:11Speaker 3: about her son's teacher back when my son was in
- 34:15Speaker 3: his class a number of years ago now. Yeah. And
- 34:19Speaker 3: my son was, I guess, a little embarrassed to raise
- 34:22Speaker 3: his hand and ask questions if.
- 34:24Speaker 4: If he wasn't getting.
- 34:24Speaker 3: Yeah, if he wasn't getting.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 34:26Speaker 3: And so the teacher, this is during a parent-teacher conference,
- 34:30Speaker 3: like how things are going. He goes, I really wish
- 34:31Speaker 3: you would ask questions. If you don't understand something, I
- 34:34Speaker 3: could totally help you, you know. Figure it out?
- 34:35Speaker 1: Get.
- 34:36Speaker 7: He said it just like that.
- 34:38Speaker 9: Yeah, yeah.
- 34:39Speaker 3: And he gave my son this really great out. He goes, hey,
- 34:43Speaker 3: just take something on your desk, be it your water
- 34:46Speaker 3: bottle or whatever, and put it in the top right
- 34:48Speaker 3: corner over here, and I'll know that you have a question.
- 34:50Speaker 1: Oh.
- 34:51Speaker 3: And I'll know to come help you out or to
- 34:54Speaker 3: bring up.
- 34:55Speaker 4: Was he that cripplingly shy? He didn't want to raise
- 34:58Speaker 4: his hand?
- 34:59Speaker 3: Or is it nerdy? His teacher seems that good. This
- 35:01Speaker 3: grade is a weird grade.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I think.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Because that's when kids start getting goofed on. Yeah. Or
- 35:06Speaker 3: being curious. Yeah, nerd. Yeah, like, oh, you have questions.
- 35:10Speaker 4: What grade is this again?
- 35:11Speaker 7: Now it's sixth for mine.
- 35:12Speaker 4: Oh, sixth grade.
- 35:13Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Yeah, I guess if you were into academics at that age,
- 35:18Speaker 4: you were kind.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Of the dork.
- 35:19Speaker 7: Yeah, or if you're not getting it all the time,
- 35:21Speaker 7: you're an idiot.
- 35:22Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 35:23Speaker 3: As adults, we don't like to read directions. True. People
- 35:26Speaker 3: don't like to ask for directions.
- 35:28Speaker 4: We expect things to be intuitive.
- 35:29Speaker 3: Yeah. I think people are weird. When you're in a store...
- 35:34Speaker 3: I think my wife would rather just walk around aimlessly
- 35:36Speaker 3: until she finds whatever it is.
- 35:38Speaker 8: Really?
- 35:38Speaker 3: Instead of ask the person like, hey, where is X, Y, Z?
- 35:42Speaker 7: If I'm at Target, I'll ask anyone in a red
- 35:44Speaker 7: shirt whether they work there or not.
- 35:45Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 35:46Speaker 3: Hey, Home Depot workers.
- 35:47Speaker 1: Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 35:48Speaker 3: When you get hired. You have to. Is there some
- 35:51Speaker 3: kind of like studying and tests that you have to do?
- 35:55Speaker 3: Because every, think about all the different, like down to
- 35:59Speaker 3: the smallest little bolts, screw, whatever. There are so many
- 36:02Speaker 3: different items. By sheer number of items, it's got to
- 36:07Speaker 3: be more than I think like maybe like an average
- 36:09Speaker 3: kind of place, right? Oh, yeah.
- 36:11Speaker 7: And so specialized.
- 36:12Speaker 3: Yeah. And this person looks like there's some chick straight
- 36:15Speaker 3: out of high school or this guy who's been working
- 36:18Speaker 3: on job sites forever. They all know exactly where it is.
- 36:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:21Speaker 3: Oh, it's aisle 12, right side, third shelf. Like, how?
- 36:24Speaker 3: Doesn't that impress the hell out of you?
- 36:26Speaker 4: It does.
- 36:27Speaker 3: How do you do that? That's cool.
- 36:29Speaker 4: In the grocery store, hey, what aisle is coffee on?
- 36:32Speaker 1: Two.
- 36:32Speaker 3: How did you do that? The grocery store is easier,
- 36:34Speaker 3: but the Home Depot thing, because there's so many different
- 36:37Speaker 3: things to specialize, trades, you know what this plumbing part
- 36:42Speaker 3: is called, and then you know also where the whatever is.
- 36:45Speaker 3: The ball cock.
- 36:46Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 36:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, where can I get the ball cock?
- 36:48Speaker 4: The ball cock.
- 36:48Speaker 7: I need all of that.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 36:50Speaker 4: And the ball peen hammer.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:52Speaker 4: Where can I get the black caulk? Did you have
- 36:56Speaker 4: to take a test at the grocery store?
- 36:57Speaker 10: I didn't, but I ended up memorizing everything.
- 37:01Speaker 3: And I don't know.
- 37:02Speaker 10: It just became easy. I never had to think about
- 37:05Speaker 10: it any other way. I do prefer Lowe's over Home Depot,
- 37:09Speaker 10: but I'll say the Home Depot by our station, the
- 37:12Speaker 10: workers there are exactly what you're talking about, Woody. but
- 37:14Speaker 10: the Lowe's by our station suck. They won't walk you anywhere.
- 37:18Speaker 3: When I worked at the grocery store, we had to
- 37:19Speaker 3: memorize the produce codes. Oh, God.
- 37:22Speaker 4: That sounds impossible.
- 37:23Speaker 3: Because I was a cashier.
- 37:24Speaker 4: Dude, I always thought it would be fun to be
- 37:26Speaker 4: a checker at a grocery store, but I would panic
- 37:28Speaker 4: if somebody came up with radishes, and I would be,
- 37:31Speaker 4: how do I ring this up?
- 37:32Speaker 3: What is this? Texter says, being a teacher today is
- 37:35Speaker 3: very challenging. The expectations are constantly being risen. Less resources
- 37:40Speaker 3: teachers have to wear so many hats. It's not just
- 37:42Speaker 3: teaching curriculum in the classroom. I still love to teach.
- 37:45Speaker 3: I just don't like anything outside of my classroom. I
- 37:48Speaker 3: get it.
- 37:48Speaker 7: Yeah, they do ask you to do a lot more
- 37:50Speaker 7: with a lot less.
- 37:51Speaker 10: So I was talking to a teacher last night, coincidentally,
- 37:55Speaker 10: and he was telling me about all this extra stuff
- 37:57Speaker 10: that the school just assigns him to do that doesn't
- 38:01Speaker 10: have to.
- 38:01Speaker 3: Do with anything with his class. Wow, they work in
- 38:04Speaker 3: radio too? Yeah, right? Has nothing to do with the
- 38:07Speaker 3: class that he's in.
- 38:08Speaker 10: Also, just like you, Woody, was asking if I could
- 38:10Speaker 10: stop by because he teaches a media class. to talk
- 38:13Speaker 10: to the kids, I'm like, oh, yeah, I want to
- 38:15Speaker 10: bring them something if I go. I go, how many
- 38:18Speaker 10: students do you have?
- 38:18Speaker 3: He goes, 170.
- 38:19Speaker 4: Wow.
- 38:20Speaker 3: I go, what? Damn. 170 kids? And it goes back
- 38:24Speaker 3: to what Gino was saying. Like, how do you even remember, like,
- 38:28Speaker 3: all these kids' names? Yeah, it's crazy. That's an insane amount.
- 38:31Speaker 3: So here's a video. This teacher's making a point. This girl... Because,
- 38:35Speaker 3: you know, I guess when you're upset and crying, that's
- 38:38Speaker 3: when you go and you start posting on social media.
- 38:40Speaker 2: Oh, sure.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Mandatory. She was upset because, well, there was a job situation.
- 38:45Speaker 3: She'll explain why she's upset. But then the teacher comes
- 38:47Speaker 3: in to explain. Told you.
- 38:49Speaker 8: I just got the worst possible news ever. I got
- 38:54Speaker 8: my dream job. And I received an email because I
- 39:00Speaker 8: submitted my... documentation later than they would have liked. They're
- 39:06Speaker 8: revoking my hiring process.
- 39:08Speaker 9: This is a reminder to all you parents out there who.
- 39:11Speaker 14: Dubbed yourself mom or dad of the year for bullying
- 39:15Speaker 14: your kid's teachers because they were trying to hold your
- 39:17Speaker 14: kid accountable or give them consequences when it came to
- 39:21Speaker 14: late work or missing work or plagiarized work or acting
- 39:23Speaker 14: out at.
- 39:24Speaker 3: School, whatever it may be.
- 39:26Speaker 14: You always have been and you continue to be the
- 39:30Speaker 14: villain in this story okay because those teachers that you
- 39:33Speaker 14: really wanted to convince the world were so mean and
- 39:35Speaker 14: had it out for your kid no no those teachers
- 39:40Speaker 14: were trying to prevent this that's all That's literally it.
- 39:45Speaker 14: But you couldn't have that. So now that Gen Z
- 39:48Speaker 14: continues to be the butt of the joke of the
- 39:51Speaker 14: corporate world, just sit on the fact that this is
- 39:54Speaker 14: your fault. You did this all by yourself, collectively.
- 39:59Speaker 1: As a group.
- 40:00Speaker 8: Those parents did this.
- 40:03Speaker 3: Have a day. Have a day. Have a day. Later
- 40:07Speaker 3: than they would have liked. No, I'm sure they gave
- 40:09Speaker 3: you a deadline to determine the paperwork. You got this job,
- 40:11Speaker 3: but you got to, like, your first thing they ask
- 40:13Speaker 3: you to do, you can't even do that on time. Yeah.
- 40:16Speaker 3: That's like what they talk about, like, when you're looking for,
- 40:18Speaker 3: you know, a service. You call a different company, right?
- 40:22Speaker 3: You're looking for whatever it is. And you have a
- 40:24Speaker 3: hard time communicating or getting a hold of them. as
- 40:27Speaker 3: you're just trying to schedule that initial appointment. If you
- 40:30Speaker 3: can't get a hold of them now, imagine when you're
- 40:32Speaker 3: a customer.
- 40:33Speaker 7: Oh, yeah, when you're paying.
- 40:34Speaker 3: When you actually really need them.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Oh, you don't want money?
- 40:37Speaker 3: There's another video, Making the Rounds, this high school English teacher,
- 40:41Speaker 3: this is in Houston. It was only the second day
- 40:43Speaker 3: of class, already frustrated because the seniors, high school seniors
- 40:49Speaker 3: that he has in his class are mega stupid. Hold on,
- 40:52Speaker 3: I got this, the wrong clip. Uh, what are the, yeah.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Cause his, no, no, no. Stand by.
- 41:00Speaker 10: That person really wants to talk.
- 41:02Speaker 6: Yep.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Yep. Stand by. Here we go again. His seniors are
- 41:06Speaker 3: mega stupid.
- 41:07Speaker 6: I literally broke down in the middle of class because
- 41:11Speaker 6: I'm teaching seniors. We had two paragraphs to read one
- 41:15Speaker 6: sentence complete to write.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I gave them the scenario.
- 41:19Speaker 6: We annotate it together. I gave them the answers before
- 41:25Speaker 6: we even had the problem.
- 41:28Speaker 4: And they couldn't do it.
- 41:30Speaker 3: I don't know where the problem is.
- 41:32Speaker 6: And I have seniors who simply cannot do it. Read
- 41:39Speaker 6: and seniors who cannot write.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Good God.
- 41:42Speaker 3: Isn't that crazy?
- 41:43Speaker 10: I mean, the first time I didn't even understand what
- 41:45Speaker 10: the heck he was saying, so maybe it's you, dude.
- 41:46Speaker 3: Yeah, only about 35% of high school seniors test at
- 41:50Speaker 3: or above proficiency in reading. That is an official statement.
- 41:53Speaker 3: The most basic thing.
- 41:54Speaker 4: Not 35% can't do it.
- 41:55Speaker 3: No, only 35% of high school seniors can test at
- 41:57Speaker 3: or above proficiency in reading. In reading. We're screwed. We're
- 42:09Speaker 3: so cooked.
- 42:10Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 42:10Speaker 7: Where do we go from here?
- 42:11Speaker 3: So you can see where teachers are really frustrated.
- 42:13Speaker 7: So if you're average, you're now a genius.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Not only does the district suck, you know, the kids,
- 42:20Speaker 3: not all of them. Some kids are cool, you know,
- 42:23Speaker 3: but you got the problem kids to deal with. And
- 42:25Speaker 3: on top of that, when you do have a problem
- 42:27Speaker 3: with the kids, the parents are the ones who are
- 42:29Speaker 3: up your ass.
- 42:30Speaker 7: Egging them on.
- 42:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:31Speaker 7: Not my baby.
- 42:32Speaker 3: That's why it is now on, with movers, my list
- 42:34Speaker 3: of F those jobs. Would never want that job, man.
- 42:38Speaker 14: No.
- 42:39Speaker 3: But there are people who are willing to do it.
- 42:40Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 42:41Speaker 3: But not for me.
- 42:42Speaker 4: And when we were growing up, the teacher was always right.
- 42:44Speaker 4: My parents would not defend me. Oh, dude.
- 42:46Speaker 3: Are you kidding? Dude, my parents would probably invite the
- 42:49Speaker 3: teacher over to watch them beat my ass.
- 42:51Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 42:52Speaker 3: You want to come over? We're going to give him
- 42:53Speaker 3: the belt later. You have a long day. You deserve it.
- 42:56Speaker 3: Come over. We'll pour you a drink and you can
- 42:58Speaker 3: watch as we beat the crap out of him.
- 42:59Speaker 4: Right.

- 43:22Speaker 3: social media. You can look for us there at The
- 43:25Speaker 3: Woody Show. Like I mentioned, we're getting a lot of
- 43:28Speaker 3: great feedback on Randy's Grown Man Lemonade Stand. Tyler. I'm sorry, yeah, Randy.
- 43:35Speaker 3: We would have said Randy if you still worked here.
- 43:37Speaker 3: That's so weird. Tyler's grown man, Lemonade Sam. Sorry, Tyler.
- 43:41Speaker 3: It's basically the same guy. Sorry.
- 43:43Speaker 4: Same build.
- 43:44Speaker 3: Someone said, I need to listen to that segment again
- 43:46Speaker 3: now that we know that all those people were Jeff's friends.
- 43:48Speaker 3: I haven't laughed that hard in a while. Yeah.
- 43:51Speaker 4: Your friends are good actors.
- 43:52Speaker 7: Seriously. They were.
- 43:53Speaker 3: They surprised me. The egg throwing and all that, that
- 43:55Speaker 3: was all improv. Jeff, you're getting some great feedback too.
- 43:59Speaker 3: Jeff is a great compliment to the show. Keep coming
- 44:02Speaker 3: with the cool skits like this.
- 44:03Speaker 10: Hell yeah.
- 44:05Speaker 3: This is the power of radio to get audiences engaged
- 44:07Speaker 3: and make them forget just a little bit on their
- 44:09Speaker 3: lives and their problems and escape. Good job to the
- 44:12Speaker 3: whole team. The feedback has been great. Awesome. We got
- 44:16Speaker 3: the video posted for you. That's on our Instagram, at
- 44:19Speaker 3: The Woody Show. Send us an email, email at thewoodyshow.com.
- 44:23Speaker 3: Nice email here from Robert.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Robert.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Says, what's up, Woody Show? First off, Menace, I really
- 44:29Speaker 3: wanted to come meet you at your event last week,
- 44:32Speaker 3: and unfortunately, due to some medical stuff, I was not
- 44:35Speaker 3: able to make it. I was looking forward to meeting
- 44:37Speaker 3: you the second I heard you announce it on the podcast.
- 44:40Speaker 3: Hopefully it turned out well enough. And you guys will
- 44:42Speaker 3: be here in the Dallas area more often. Yes. And
- 44:46Speaker 3: I can hopefully meet you guys and the whole team
- 44:48Speaker 3: one day. You guys are the best. Second, I had
- 44:50Speaker 3: a colonoscopy today. Lucky. At first I was nervous about it,
- 44:53Speaker 3: but I kept remembering all the stuff that you guys,
- 44:55Speaker 3: mostly Greg, said about the procedure and the best sleep
- 44:58Speaker 3: of your life. So easy. Just thinking about that is
- 45:01Speaker 3: what really helped me not freak out and panic about
- 45:03Speaker 3: the whole situation I am in with my health and
- 45:06Speaker 3: the fact that a tube was going to be up
- 45:08Speaker 3: my butt and one down my... through my throat. Yeah.
- 45:11Speaker 3: That's the endoscopy. And sometimes they'll do it at the
- 45:14Speaker 3: same time. Wow. I had that done at one point.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Because they were trying to figure out a digestion thing
- 45:19Speaker 3: I had at the time. and so they just did
- 45:22Speaker 3: it all in one.
- 45:22Speaker 4: Yeah, why not?
- 45:23Speaker 7: Send the camera in both ways.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Yeah, it was shish kebab. Yeah, don't they call it
- 45:26Speaker 3: the Eiffel Tower? Yeah, the spit roast. The spit. It says,
- 45:29Speaker 3: but dear Lord, that sleep was amazing. Isn't it so relaxing? Last, Gina,
- 45:34Speaker 3: not sure if it was still the medicine affecting me
- 45:37Speaker 3: or maybe I'm just getting older and softer, but when
- 45:39Speaker 3: I saw the news about Dolly Parton, I cried.
- 45:41Speaker 4: Yeah, same.
- 45:42Speaker 3: I do not know Dolly's story or her music that well,
- 45:45Speaker 3: but the reason I cried is because on the show,
- 45:47Speaker 3: you have said a few times that when the day comes,
- 45:48Speaker 3: you were going to lose it. So thinking of how
- 45:51Speaker 3: this news must have hit you really got me in
- 45:53Speaker 3: my field. Jeez. Anyway, this is not for rambling on.
- 45:57Speaker 3: Love you guys so much. You really make it feel
- 45:58Speaker 3: like I'm part of your lives and you're part of
- 46:00Speaker 3: mine since I listen to the show every day. I
- 46:03Speaker 3: absolutely lose it when you play Greg's great idea of
- 46:06Speaker 3: being sarcastic. That is so funny. Just the way he's
- 46:10Speaker 3: laughing and can't say it straight cracks me up every time.
- 46:14Speaker 3: Just curious. I can't find the podcast, but I thought
- 46:16Speaker 3: I heard it. But is Sammy's birthday December 28th? I
- 46:19Speaker 3: asked because that's my birthday.
- 46:21Speaker 11: Oh, that's Tyler's birthday.
- 46:23Speaker 3: Me love. That's from Robert.
- 46:25Speaker 2: Bye.
- 46:26Speaker 3: Everybody's forgetting Tyler's name today.
- 46:28Speaker 4: Sammy is the Rain Man at birthday.
- 46:30Speaker 3: Yeah, she really is.
- 46:32Speaker 4: So interesting.
- 46:33Speaker 3: Anyway, thank you. That was great. That was so nice. Yeah.
- 46:37Speaker 3: So Menace was in Dallas and he was at a
- 46:41Speaker 3: Lazy Dog restaurant.
- 46:42Speaker 10: Yeah, Addison, Texas.
- 46:44Speaker 3: The Addison location of Lazy Dog. And he was talking
- 46:47Speaker 3: to some listeners. about the show. You want to hear
- 46:50Speaker 3: a little bit about that? Yeah, of course. Yeah, Meta
- 46:52Speaker 3: sent me the audio.
- 46:53Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 46:53Speaker 3: Thank you, Woody and Gina, a lot, because I am 47,
- 46:57Speaker 3: going to be 48, so what they talk about, especially Woody,
- 47:01Speaker 3: we are like the same. A lot of things.
- 47:03Speaker 7: That he hates, I hate. The only thing that I
- 47:05Speaker 7: didn't like him saying was he did not like college football,
- 47:08Speaker 7: that they don't try.
- 47:10Speaker 8: Those MFers try because they're trying to get to the NFL.
- 47:14Speaker 9: I love college football.
- 47:15Speaker 7: But no, I love the entire show.
- 47:17Speaker 6: Love it.
- 47:18Speaker 11: Everybody is just amazing.
- 47:20Speaker 7: Amazingly funny.
- 47:21Speaker 3: That's very nice. Really, really cool. Then you had this dude.
- 47:26Speaker 3: What do you love about the show? Oh, I mean,
- 47:28Speaker 3: just everything.
- 47:29Speaker 4: Everybody's sense of humor.
- 47:30Speaker 16: Everybody kind of molds together just to make the perfect show.
- 47:34Speaker 16: And it just kind of hits on all of our
- 47:36Speaker 16: different types of personality. And I drive trucks, so I
- 47:40Speaker 16: listen to you guys all day long. I go back
- 47:42Speaker 16: on the podcast. I'm in like 2022 right now. Just
- 47:45Speaker 16: listen to it back to back to back.
- 47:46Speaker 4: It just gets me through the day, man.
- 47:47Speaker 3: It's awesome.
- 47:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 47:49Speaker 7: I mean, so nice.
- 47:50Speaker 10: All the people that showed up to this lazy dog
- 47:53Speaker 10: was so cool.
- 47:55Speaker 3: Really? I kept waiting for the shoe to drop.
- 47:56Speaker 7: I was going to say that.
- 47:58Speaker 3: When you sent me the audio, I'm like, all right,
- 48:00Speaker 3: there's going to be something in here where it's like.
- 48:02Speaker 3: You know what I really hate? No. No, everyone is
- 48:05Speaker 3: so cool. So nice.
- 48:06Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:06Speaker 3: Here's like, listen to this chick.
- 48:08Speaker 12: I love everybody on staff, like Tyler, Morgan, literally everybody.
- 48:13Speaker 3: You, of course.
- 48:15Speaker 11: Guess who's gassed.
- 48:16Speaker 3: Never going to be a quitter. Always a hitter. We
- 48:20Speaker 3: even do it in our house.
- 48:21Speaker 7: Even though it's just the two of us.
- 48:25Speaker 3: I know y'all through her.
- 48:26Speaker 6: So when I get home, I hear from her and
- 48:27Speaker 6: hear all the stories.
- 48:28Speaker 3: She plays it back for me.
- 48:29Speaker 4: That guy's a.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Great personality combination. The way you interact and pull from
- 48:35Speaker 3: each other. It looks really great. Yeah. So nice.
- 48:40Speaker 7: That's so nice.
- 48:40Speaker 4: The home version of Guess Who's Gas.
- 48:42Speaker 7: Well, there's only two people.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Two people.
- 48:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 48:45Speaker 3: This text says, Greg is the only one keeping me
- 48:48Speaker 3: tuned in. Whatever works.
- 48:51Speaker 7: No pressure, Greg.
- 48:52Speaker 3: A lot of love at the meetup. Yeah. I mean,
- 48:56Speaker 3: whatever works. You know, it's interesting. Like the people. So
- 48:59Speaker 3: I sent that. I sent that audio to the guy
- 49:02Speaker 3: who's the program. He's the new program director of our
- 49:05Speaker 3: station in Dallas.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 49:07Speaker 3: Guy's been on the job. I don't know. Five months.
- 49:10Speaker 3: Something like that. Haven't even spoken to the guy yet.
- 49:15Speaker 7: I think he hates us.
- 49:17Speaker 3: That's a clear sign. I think he hates us. And
- 49:22Speaker 3: to be fair, if it wasn't the guy who was
- 49:25Speaker 3: the program director when we first signed on, he was great.
- 49:28Speaker 3: This guy Patrick. And the company, of course, because he
- 49:30Speaker 3: was great, they got rid of him. Yeah, that's how
- 49:32Speaker 3: it works. So they're like, nope, this guy's too good.
- 49:36Speaker 3: He cares too much. And they got rid of him.
- 49:41Speaker 3: And then it was just like a revolving door of
- 49:43Speaker 3: different people who ignored us. Yeah. I mean, completely ignored us.
- 49:47Speaker 3: It got so bad with our station there in Dallas.
- 49:52Speaker 3: And I think it might still be this way because
- 49:53Speaker 3: I wouldn't know because I haven't heard from this new
- 49:55Speaker 3: guy yet.
- 49:56Speaker 7: Nobody's reached out.
- 49:57Speaker 3: No. It got so bad. And they had people running
- 50:02Speaker 3: the show. That couldn't figure out how to take phone calls,
- 50:06Speaker 3: so they did no contesting during the morning show.
- 50:09Speaker 7: You don't just find someone who can pick up a phone.
- 50:10Speaker 3: Couldn't do any giveaways because they couldn't even hire somebody
- 50:13Speaker 3: competent enough to answer calls. And so that's where we're
- 50:17Speaker 3: up against. And then we hear from people all the time.
- 50:18Speaker 3: You talked to some of the people who were there.
- 50:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 50:21Speaker 10: I mean, they had nothing negative to say about the show,
- 50:23Speaker 10: but since we're sharing stuff, they said the station, they
- 50:27Speaker 10: said it technically sounded so bad. That they couldn't even
- 50:31Speaker 10: tune in. They're like, dude, everything gets cut off. Things
- 50:34Speaker 10: are playing over each other.
- 50:35Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I listened to the podcast. And not just
- 50:38Speaker 3: exclusive to this station. Bort and I have been working
- 50:42Speaker 3: on this project for months to make it so it's
- 50:45Speaker 3: even more idiot proof that you could just run a show.
- 50:48Speaker 3: But we hear from, well, Dallas is pretty bad with it.
- 50:52Speaker 3: I don't know what they expect from us. Like, when
- 50:54Speaker 3: people are even trying to tune in... Yeah.
- 50:56Speaker 10: They said it was unlistenable.
- 50:57Speaker 3: And when you hear, like, what we're talking about, like,
- 51:00Speaker 3: we're doing a conversation or a bit on the show,
- 51:02Speaker 3: and there's commercials playing at the same time. Over it.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Or a song playing at the same time.
- 51:07Speaker 7: It's crazy, because I worked on a college radio station.
- 51:10Speaker 7: If we did that once, we would have been fired.
- 51:11Speaker 6: Oh, dude.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Like, and Dallas is a big city. Yeah.
- 51:15Speaker 17: Right?
- 51:15Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 51:16Speaker 3: Not small.
- 51:16Speaker 4: So, anyway.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Long story longer, I'm like, oh, this is cool. Hey,
- 51:21Speaker 3: I sent the text to the dude. I said, hey,
- 51:23Speaker 3: a bunch of people show up. Yeah, I said, Menace
- 51:26Speaker 3: had some lunch with listeners in Dallas today. Here's some
- 51:30Speaker 3: of the audio. The only thing this guy has really
- 51:34Speaker 3: ever said to me, and this is this response, he goes,
- 51:38Speaker 3: Gotta love the P1s, which is radio talk for like
- 51:41Speaker 3: your hardcore fans and listeners. Big fan.
- 51:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 51:44Speaker 3: P1 is like what they call, and I don't know
- 51:47Speaker 3: where that came from. Don't ask me. You know, like
- 51:49Speaker 3: restaurant lingo. I'm in the weeds all day in a
- 51:52Speaker 3: four topper and I'm.
- 51:53Speaker 2: Like, ugh.
- 51:54Speaker 7: I can tell you what it means.
- 51:55Speaker 3: What does it mean?
- 51:55Speaker 7: Talk about being in the weeds. It's the preset on
- 51:58Speaker 7: your radio. So your preset one.
- 51:59Speaker 3: Oh, is that what it is? I've been on radio
- 52:01Speaker 3: a billion years. You didn't know that? I didn't know that.
- 52:04Speaker 7: It's the first preset button on your radio.
- 52:06Speaker 3: I had no idea. So go to love the P1s.
- 52:09Speaker 7: That's very passive aggressive.
- 52:11Speaker 3: Yeah. I know, dude. So I wrote back.
- 52:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 52:15Speaker 3: I wrote back. I go, gotta love feedback. Yeah. Because again,
- 52:18Speaker 3: you've been on the job for five months.
- 52:20Speaker 7: Good answer.
- 52:21Speaker 3: And when this person first started, because I knew this
- 52:24Speaker 3: guy for a long time prior to all this.
- 52:28Speaker 5: Right.
- 52:28Speaker 4: And I'm like, great.
- 52:29Speaker 3: This is a person who I know, who I thought
- 52:32Speaker 3: liked the show. This is going to be great. Boots
- 52:34Speaker 3: on the ground. Man, it's going to be awesome. And
- 52:37Speaker 3: then just having heard a thing, which leads me to
- 52:39Speaker 3: believe that he came in either they don't like or
- 52:43Speaker 3: want the show there or whatever, which to me at
- 52:45Speaker 3: this point is fine because they can't even figure out
- 52:48Speaker 3: how to run it where the show is just on
- 52:51Speaker 3: without commercials or music playing at the same time. It's a,
- 52:54Speaker 3: and it's not just a problem there. I, like I said,
- 52:57Speaker 3: it's not exclusive to there. I just wish it was
- 53:00Speaker 3: different because when I hear from people, you know, wanna, yeah, exactly.
- 53:04Speaker 3: Like we're, we're, we're doing the best that we can
- 53:07Speaker 3: to try to give you guys a show. And, It
- 53:09Speaker 3: is nice hearing these things because all I do is
- 53:12Speaker 3: get beat up behind the scenes from other people who
- 53:16Speaker 3: look at us. What's the issue here? Yeah. Why aren't
- 53:22Speaker 3: ratings better in Dallas? Well, maybe because you can't run
- 53:25Speaker 3: the effing station properly.
- 53:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 53:28Speaker 3: Maybe you can't just have one thing on the air.
- 53:29Speaker 3: You can't even take caller 10. It's so incompetent. It's
- 53:34Speaker 3: run so incompetently. You can't even just take caller 10.
- 53:37Speaker 3: You've taken the contest off the air because you can't
- 53:40Speaker 3: take a phone call. It's crazy. Are we serious? It's
- 53:44Speaker 3: sounds fake. It's a joke. It's a joke.
- 53:47Speaker 10: I do want to say it's not all the staff though.
- 53:50Speaker 3: It's not. No, it's not.
- 53:51Speaker 10: There's very, very nice people there that are supportive.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Absolutely. Shout them out. That is true. That is true.
- 53:58Speaker 3: But the, you know, it's very much a, here are
- 54:01Speaker 3: some toothpicks, build a house. And what pisses me off
- 54:04Speaker 3: is that when we get looked at as if we're
- 54:06Speaker 3: not doing what we're supposed to be doing, or like
- 54:09Speaker 3: there's something wrong with the content or whatever of the show,
- 54:13Speaker 3: I'm like, am I tripping? Because the email, like I
- 54:15Speaker 3: just wrote, read from you or the clips that we
- 54:17Speaker 3: just heard or the things that people are texting in
- 54:19Speaker 3: every day and paint a completely different picture.
- 54:22Speaker 10: If you're not responsible for what's heard on the air,
- 54:25Speaker 10: we're not talking about you.
- 54:27Speaker 3: Correct.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:28Speaker 3: And to be clear, the people we are talking about,
- 54:32Speaker 3: we are talking about you. Yeah.
- 54:35Speaker 10: Are you sleeping in all day? Are you not listening
- 54:37Speaker 10: to your own station? You're not listening to your own
- 54:40Speaker 10: station and you're in charge?
- 54:41Speaker 3: Yeah. You are a problem. We're not the problem. You're
- 54:46Speaker 3: the problem. And the person before you was the problem.
- 54:48Speaker 3: The person before you was the problem. And they got
- 54:51Speaker 3: rid of the person who was actually the person who actually,
- 54:53Speaker 3: you know, cared.
- 54:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:56Speaker 4: Even in my early days, if that had happened one
- 54:58Speaker 4: time or something's running over the other, the door would
- 55:00Speaker 4: have come off the hinges and I would have been
- 55:03Speaker 4: just basically let go.
- 55:06Speaker 3: It wasn't, it is what it is.
- 55:07Speaker 6: No.
- 55:08Speaker 3: Yep. You figure it out. What the F are you doing?
- 55:12Speaker 3: So if you're having issues like that, just know that
- 55:15Speaker 3: you can always get the podcast. You can always stream it. Well,
- 55:20Speaker 3: this is what our listeners in Dallas say they have
- 55:22Speaker 3: to do. But the problem with that is that when
- 55:24Speaker 3: you're just streaming or podcasting, it doesn't count toward any
- 55:28Speaker 3: of the ratings.
- 55:28Speaker 7: What we need it.
- 55:31Speaker 3: To count for.
- 55:31Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 55:32Speaker 3: And then I got to hear about that.
- 55:34Speaker 7: But you listen however you can listen.
- 55:36Speaker 3: We appreciate it.
- 55:38Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 55:41Speaker 3: I do want to thank everybody who does listen and
- 55:45Speaker 3: support the show and everything. We do see you. We
- 55:48Speaker 3: do hear you. We are not a lot of things.
- 55:54Speaker 3: We are certainly not– I don't think we are a
- 55:58Speaker 3: great show. I think we're a good show. I don't
- 56:01Speaker 3: think we're a great show, but I don't think that's
- 56:02Speaker 3: from lack of work ethic. We certainly– every conversation we
- 56:07Speaker 3: always have is always about what is the listener experience?
- 56:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:12Speaker 3: It's not about what we like or whatever. We try
- 56:14Speaker 3: to do things and we try to operate in a way,
- 56:17Speaker 3: whether it's an event. So when people go, what's the
- 56:20Speaker 3: experience going to be like? What are we doing? How
- 56:23Speaker 3: is this going to benefit? How is this always going
- 56:25Speaker 3: to benefit? So when you turn in, how does this
- 56:28Speaker 3: benefit the listener? It's frustrating when we get side-eye or
- 56:33Speaker 3: we get looked at everything I say is just like,
- 56:42Speaker 3: I'm pissed and I'm frustrated.
- 56:44Speaker 7: Sure.
- 56:45Speaker 3: You know, because like, dude, we're, I really believe that
- 56:48Speaker 3: we are doing everything and I don't have any kind
- 56:49Speaker 3: of false idea of what we are, who we are.
- 56:53Speaker 3: You know, we, we, we are never the most talented.
- 56:57Speaker 3: We're never the best. Right. You know, no, I'm just
- 57:00Speaker 3: saying just in general, it's not about that, but like
- 57:03Speaker 3: we always, always put, the show, the content, the expectation
- 57:08Speaker 3: of what you are tuning in for top of mind
- 57:11Speaker 3: every single time. And it's frustrating because it's tough, man.
- 57:14Speaker 3: It's like anything else, any other business when people are
- 57:16Speaker 3: out there, you know, trying to get you to be
- 57:18Speaker 3: a customer, you know, of whatever they have to sell
- 57:22Speaker 3: or whatever service they're providing. Although some people don't really,
- 57:26Speaker 3: some people aren't really trying that way either. I, but
- 57:28Speaker 3: when it works well.
- 57:30Speaker 4: Like if you go to a business and give them
- 57:32Speaker 4: your business and it actually goes smoothly and they help
- 57:34Speaker 4: you with something, it's, awesome it's noteworthy when it's good.
- 57:37Speaker 3: As as companies like as like uh you know like
- 57:40Speaker 3: a radio station we'll just let's just use our own
- 57:42Speaker 3: example as the example like do you know how hard
- 57:45Speaker 3: it is to get anybody's attention now oh it's nearly
- 57:48Speaker 3: impossible there's there's so much distraction everything out there so
- 57:52Speaker 3: we manage and a lot of times i mean you
- 57:54Speaker 3: know these radio stations that you're listening to rock alternative
- 57:58Speaker 3: whatever they are not The soccer mom stations, the pop
- 58:01Speaker 3: stations that have built-in huge mega audiences.
- 58:04Speaker 4: The listen at work station.
- 58:05Speaker 3: It's by default always a smaller audience, but what makes
- 58:09Speaker 3: them successful is that people tune in, they listen longer.
- 58:11Speaker 3: And in that, this is inside baseball of how the
- 58:13Speaker 3: whole thing works. So to be on a station that
- 58:16Speaker 3: is not one of those stations is already to get
- 58:19Speaker 3: people to come in and listen. Then to get them
- 58:22Speaker 3: to not only listen that day, but to stick around
- 58:25Speaker 3: and listen for a certain amount of time and then
- 58:26Speaker 3: come back the next day and do it again. is
- 58:29Speaker 3: very difficult. So when you get people to actually tune
- 58:32Speaker 3: in and listen, and they're listening to us talk while
- 58:35Speaker 3: there's a song playing behind it or commercials playing behind it,
- 58:38Speaker 3: and we can't get anybody to actually help us and
- 58:40Speaker 3: do anything about it. And if it does, it's an
- 58:42Speaker 3: act of Congress.
- 58:43Speaker 6: Yes.
- 58:44Speaker 3: It's crazy. We're the problem. We're the problem. We're difficult.
- 58:48Speaker 3: We're the one. Well, I don't know.
- 58:50Speaker 1: Like.
- 58:50Speaker 3: Some of these markets run like an abbreviated version of
- 58:53Speaker 3: the show. So it's not even the show, how it's designed.
- 58:58Speaker 3: It's like when we talk about people are like, oh,
- 58:59Speaker 3: this is a great meal. Can I get the recipe?
- 59:02Speaker 3: And then you try to make it yourself.
- 59:04Speaker 4: Leave out a bunch of stuff.
- 59:05Speaker 3: And you leave it out and you go, it was okay. just,
- 59:07Speaker 3: you know.
- 59:07Speaker 4: Not the same.
- 59:08Speaker 3: Well, yeah, because you left half the stuff out.
- 59:10Speaker 7: I don't really like butter.
- 59:11Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 59:12Speaker 4: Right.
- 59:12Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:14Speaker 3: Anyway, so just know, man, like we, and we always
- 59:17Speaker 3: don't hit the mark. I'm sure this is very boring
- 59:20Speaker 3: to a lot of people right now. I'm just, in
- 59:22Speaker 3: a full disclosure, we share and wear everything. I'm just,
- 59:26Speaker 3: I'm just sharing with you, you know, from my standpoint.
- 59:32Speaker 3: But that is a, that is a toxic norm, not
- 59:35Speaker 3: to use a stupid modern day phrase. Yeah. The toxic norm. Like,
- 59:40Speaker 3: I'm getting a bunch of, I'm getting a bunch of criticism,
- 59:43Speaker 3: I'm getting sideways looks from people who aren't doing what
- 59:46Speaker 3: they're supposed to do.
- 59:47Speaker 9: Right.
- 59:48Speaker 3: Yeah. When you're the one, like, you know, like, we're
- 59:53Speaker 3: always defending the wrong, or, you know, we're coming to
- 59:55Speaker 3: the defense of the wrong side a lot.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 59:58Speaker 10: I think what you're trying to explain is, we're looked
- 1:00:00Speaker 10: at as if we're not putting in any effort.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:04Speaker 10: And we put in, I feel, the most effort.
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:00:08Speaker 10: Always on like every level. And then, you know, when
- 1:00:13Speaker 10: things are happening.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: And it's not everywhere. It's a difficult conversation because the
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: show is wildly successful in a lot of places and
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: then moderate in some others and then really terrible. But
- 1:00:24Speaker 3: it's weird. The ones where it's really terrible are the
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: ones that people are like, but I just went on
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: this whole rip about. don't do anything for it. Yeah.
- 1:00:31Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:00:32Speaker 10: You know, to give you a little more insight on
- 1:00:34Speaker 10: the Dallas thing too. Also, I walk in the studio
- 1:00:38Speaker 10: just to take a look around. Uh, the microphones are unplugged.
- 1:00:42Speaker 10: It's like covered in dust. Like, Oh yeah, they're really
- 1:00:45Speaker 10: putting a lot of effort into that. That's, that's, that's
- 1:00:47Speaker 10: why it's frustrating because I, I mean, I, it sounds dumb.
- 1:00:50Speaker 10: Like I care too much.
- 1:00:51Speaker 3: I do. I do. I probably do care too much.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: I really do. Like I, I take it, I take
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: it personally.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: Because there's a lot of people that, you know, they
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: put a lot of work into it, you know?
- 1:01:03Speaker 4: A lot of people.
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: Yeah. All right. So here are some other accepted standards
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: out there, things that are now considered normal but shouldn't be. And,
- 1:01:11Speaker 3: you know, companies saving money by lowering customer service standards.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: Like we talked about the customer service a number of times.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: It's terrible.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: It doesn't exist.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Yeah. It's funny, man. I've been looking for HVAC companies, right?
- 1:01:25Speaker 3: You were just asking me about one.
- 1:01:26Speaker 7: I'm dealing with that right now.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: I finally found one. But I went on a couple
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: that had really good reviews and people said really nice
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: stuff and not like on those paid for review sites.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: We're talking about like actual customers, right? Verified customers and
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: from word of mouth from some other neighbors. And I
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: went on their website and I filled out all the stuff. But, hey,
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: I'm interested in, you know, setting up, like, a regular
- 1:01:48Speaker 3: routine service for HVAC. The company I used to deal with,
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: I mean, they kept canceling. You'd set appointments, clear your day,
- 1:01:54Speaker 3: and then they'd, like, reschedule. And you're like, I can't
- 1:01:56Speaker 3: keep shuffling my day around. You're not doing me a favor.
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: I'm paying you to come out and do this service. Anyway,
- 1:02:01Speaker 3: so I moved on from them. Filled out the app
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: on two different HVAC companies that had great reviews.
- 1:02:07Speaker 12: Right.
- 1:02:07Speaker 3: Neither one of them called back. Over, like, of course,
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: five days. I gave them five days.
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:02:13Speaker 3: Isn't that weird?
- 1:02:14Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: These contractors... They don't want the job?
- 1:02:17Speaker 7: They don't want money.
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: Yeah. They don't want money. And I know they're busy.
- 1:02:19Speaker 3: We talk about the trades and just they need plumbers.
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: They need electricians. I know they need people. But, man.
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: But that's what I'm saying. Companies that do go above
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: and beyond, they stand out so much more because most
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: companies don't do anything.
- 1:02:36Speaker 3: Yeah. So then I reached out to the one and
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: it picked up. And for half a second, I thought
- 1:02:42Speaker 3: I was talking to an actual person. But no, it's
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: an AI company. customer service person that they're trying to
- 1:02:48Speaker 3: make sound like a real person. And you know, when
- 1:02:50Speaker 3: it's just an automated, like a voice automated, uh, you know,
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: you know, please tell us a little bit about what
- 1:02:55Speaker 3: you're calling about and we'll direct you to, no, this
- 1:02:57Speaker 3: was just, hi, thank you for calling my name, blah, blah, blah.
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: How can I help you today? Nope.
- 1:03:03Speaker 8: Nope.
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: And I hung right up, man. Nope. Uh, employers thinking
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: it's okay just to ghost you after an interview.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: That's very rude.
- 1:03:16Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: I was just talking to a buddy of mine. He
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: was up for a program director job at a radio station.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: He interviewed for it 10 months ago and they were
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: stringing him along for 10 months. And then he found
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: out because he works, he's like an internal candidate. He
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: works for the company. He knows all the players involved. Yeah.
- 1:03:36Speaker 3: And they actually came to him about the job. And
- 1:03:38Speaker 3: he's like, yeah, you know what? I might be interested
- 1:03:40Speaker 3: in that. interviewed for it, talked to all the different people. Okay, cool, cool, cool. Yeah, okay. Well,
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: then there was like a pause, like a hiring freeze
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: or whatever. And then they started going through the process again.
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: He's like, I still haven't heard anything. Well, 10 months later,
- 1:03:52Speaker 3: he heard about how there's some dude moving to that
- 1:03:55Speaker 3: city to go take over that job. And he said
- 1:03:57Speaker 3: to somebody, well, what's it? Oh yeah, I'm sorry. I
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: forgot to tell you that we hired so-and-so.
- 1:04:03Speaker 10: That happens with so many jobs.
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: And these are people that you know. These are already your.
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: Your colleagues. Your colleagues. So imagine if you're just a
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: member of the applying public. Just tell them, hey, you
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: know what? Got your resume.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: Sorry. Going a different direction.
- 1:04:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:04:22Speaker 10: Or, again, even full-on interviews, zero follow-up. Like, hey, not even, oh, sorry,
- 1:04:28Speaker 10: you didn't get the job.
- 1:04:28Speaker 7: We went another direction.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Feeling that you have to be completely constantly available or
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: that you always have to reply to a text immediately.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: That's what they call a toxic norm, like things that
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: are just normal now. Like you have to be available
- 1:04:44Speaker 3: constantly or reply to texts immediately. I used to be
- 1:04:49Speaker 3: more like that. I don't feel that. I don't feel
- 1:04:52Speaker 3: the urgency so much.
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: I don't feel that pull anymore.
- 1:04:55Speaker 3: But I do respond.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: And nowadays, if you text somebody, they don't text you
- 1:04:59Speaker 4: back within, let's say, half an hour. You know they're
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: holding their phone.
- 1:05:02Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't really worry about it. Like my kids.
- 1:05:05Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:05:06Speaker 10: I don't really worry about response time, but I always
- 1:05:08Speaker 10: tell people I'm available no matter what.
- 1:05:11Speaker 3: That people don't respect others' privacy is a toxic norm now.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: The idea that men need to toughen up, well, that's
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: just true. I mean, yeah. I know we make a
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: lot of jokes, but, yeah, I mean, I understand why.
- 1:05:28Speaker 3: I understand the point of that.
- 1:05:30Speaker 7: And maybe, you know what, to be fair, maybe everybody
- 1:05:32Speaker 7: needs to toughen up.
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: That's a good point. We're breaking balls. Would I carry
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: the man purse, Greg? You would not. Yeah, because I've
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: never had to, so it's not like I'm just going
- 1:05:42Speaker 3: to all of a sudden. Anyway, let's see. They have
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: to be social and have a lot of friends.
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: That's a toxic norm. Or question why someone doesn't like
- 1:05:52Speaker 3: pumpkin spice or any food in general.
- 1:05:54Speaker 4: Who cares?
- 1:05:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Toxic norm.
- 1:05:58Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: I would say the pumpkin spice is the toxic norm.
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: Well, I mean, look, it's just a... Nutmeg. It's just
- 1:06:06Speaker 3: a trend. It's just a fad.
- 1:06:07Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: At some point, I don't know. It gets ready for
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: the season. Yeah, maybe it's here to stay. I love
- 1:06:13Speaker 3: pumpkin pie.
- 1:06:13Speaker 4: After 20 years, I think it's here to stay.
- 1:06:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:06:16Speaker 10: Pumpkin pie, but not pumpkin spice anything.
- 1:06:19Speaker 3: 877-44-WOODY. Yeah, you know what? Here's the other one, man.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: Candidates for a job saying that they're going to show
- 1:06:26Speaker 3: up for an interview and they just don't.
- 1:06:28Speaker 7: That's a great idea. That's a great start.
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: Mike the Showkiller runs that cafe now. He owns the cafe.
- 1:06:35Speaker 3: And he's got these people that apply for jobs. In fact,
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: I was there. I was visiting him. And I'm sitting
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: there and he goes, hey, I'm going to have to
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: go in a couple minutes. I got this candidate coming
- 1:06:45Speaker 3: by for this job I'm trying to hire for. I go,
- 1:06:47Speaker 3: no problem. I'm sitting there eating. By the way, the
- 1:06:49Speaker 3: food at his place is great. It really is. It
- 1:06:51Speaker 3: was really good. I'm really happy for him. Good. So
- 1:06:54Speaker 3: I'm sitting there. I'm enjoying my food. I'm like, hey,
- 1:06:56Speaker 3: where's this person?
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: He goes, yeah.
- 1:06:58Speaker 3: I don't know. Didn't show up. I said, they must
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: have heard about you. They don't want to work with you.
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: They heard you. That's insufferable. They're like, this guy. Oh, God.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: F that. No, but this person didn't even show up.
- 1:07:11Speaker 4: I went to a job interview where the interviewer didn't
- 1:07:14Speaker 4: show up.
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: Yeah. Got all dressed up. Took public transit in. Waiting
- 1:07:19Speaker 3: in the lobby. I'm like, where's Debra?
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: She's not in today.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: Oh, Debra. Like, oh, you bitch.
- 1:07:26Speaker 4: Do you ever say something out loud and you realize,
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: oh my God.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: I am so stupid.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: This is The Woody Show.
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: Well, Greg, let's see if you can relate to this.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: This weather guy in Maine, he pulled a, you, pulled
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: a Greg Gorey. Okay, what did he do? He was
- 1:07:46Speaker 3: in the middle of doing the weather on the air
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: and he got just hit with this case of the giggles, man. Oh,
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: that's the best on TV news. He couldn't recover. So
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: his name is Patrick Osborne. This is on Maine's WABI
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: Channel 5. This is the weather guy.
- 1:08:04Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: I'm just going to tell you what happened first.
- 1:08:07Speaker 15: Okay.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: That made him laugh so hard. I guess behind the scenes,
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: it was goofing on coworkers, right? Yeah. Which we all do.
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: And this one co-worker, I guess, sounded like to some
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: of the other people on staff, like the Peanuts teacher,
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: like the Charlie Brown. And so somebody pulled up, I
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: think it was the weather guy. He had pulled up
- 1:08:28Speaker 3: like a file of, you know, the Peanuts teacher, but
- 1:08:31Speaker 3: not realizing that it was one of those. You know
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: those ones where it just goes on for two hours
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: of that?
- 1:08:36Speaker 7: Oh.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: Anyway, I guess it came through on the earpiece, and
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: so it made the crew, because it's an inside joke,
- 1:08:44Speaker 3: they all start laughing. So as they're lying. He's in
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: the middle of doing his weather thing, and that's what's
- 1:08:50Speaker 3: killing him here.
- 1:08:50Speaker 10: Sorry, we're having a little bit of a scene off screen,
- 1:08:53Speaker 10: resulting in the chance for a few bands of storms
- 1:08:57Speaker 10: in some spots.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: We got it.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: Up this weather right now.
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: I've never had this happen before.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Please.
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: All right, let me get it together real quick. Josh,
- 1:09:16Speaker 3: please take it. What happened to professionalism, Patrick?
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: Thanks, buddy.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Josh.
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: So stupid. So dumb.
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:09:31Speaker 3: That's my big idea for.
- 1:09:33Speaker 4: I.
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: Have the best idea, guys. Let's be sarcastic. You should
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: tell the weather guy. Hey, anybody got any ideas?
- 1:09:46Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:09:48Speaker 10: I do.
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: What's that, Greg? Let's be sarcastic. Solid idea. Oh, I'm
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: really bust. Oh, God. I'm crying and sweating. Yep.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:10:03Speaker 4: Get it.
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: What are we doing? Oh, my God.
- 1:10:08Speaker 7: Tastes like cold grease.
- 1:10:10Speaker 6: The Woody Show, back in a few.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: So, Gina Grant, I want to ask you about this because,
- 1:10:23Speaker 3: you know, I have a soft spot in my heart
- 1:10:25Speaker 3: for Burger King.
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: Uh-huh.
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: Not a sponsor, but they could or should be.
- 1:10:29Speaker 8: Should.
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: And I always feel, like, bad when I'm driving by
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: my local Burger King and I see that there's, you know,
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: not a ton of people or anybody at all in
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: the drive-thru. I'm like, man, it's like lunchtime. Why is
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: nobody in? I feel bad. Gina made a comment. I
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: want to see if you guys agree with this.
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Look.
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: Gina says.
- 1:10:48Speaker 7: Not personal, but I think out of all the fast
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: food chains, Burger King is the most white trash.
- 1:10:53Speaker 3: Agree or disagree?
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: White trash.
- 1:10:55Speaker 3: Agree. You do?
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: Yes, 100%.
- 1:10:56Speaker 3: I will say that.
- 1:10:58Speaker 7: More than McDonald's, Wendy's.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: White Castle.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: Sure.
- 1:11:02Speaker 10: I could say Burger King is hood, but I want
- 1:11:05Speaker 10: to say white trash.
- 1:11:06Speaker 3: Okay, well... You think it's hood?
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: It's trashy.
- 1:11:09Speaker 7: It's trashy.
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: In what way?
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: The.
- 1:11:12Speaker 7: I think the food is trashier.
- 1:11:14Speaker 8: What?
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: I do.
- 1:11:15Speaker 7: I was the only car in that specific.
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: Arby's is trashy. Okay.
- 1:11:20Speaker 7: So on par with Arby's, which I like.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: Arby's by the way. But the same, the same argument
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: that people make to me about Arby's, I'm going to
- 1:11:27Speaker 3: make to you. It has been a long time since
- 1:11:29Speaker 3: I've been to Arby's. In all fairness, I've not been
- 1:11:31Speaker 3: to Arby's. I've not had Arby's in a long time.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: Why would you? You hate it. Back when I had Arby's, yeah,
- 1:11:37Speaker 3: it wasn't my favorite to the point where I go,
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: you know what? You would settle for it. I don't
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: know why I keep coming here. I just got to
- 1:11:41Speaker 3: stop coming here because every time I come here, I
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: don't enjoy it. I like Arby's. It was my own
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: stupid fault, idiot. Like, stop coming here. So I finally
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: stopped going there.
- 1:11:52Speaker 7: And you switched to Burger King?
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: No, but Burger King is one of those. Every time
- 1:11:55Speaker 3: I go to Burger King, I forget how much I
- 1:11:57Speaker 3: like Burger King. Really? Yes. I think you haven't been
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: in a while.
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: I was just there. That's why I said it.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: You were? What'd you order? That one. What did you order?
- 1:12:05Speaker 7: I got a Junior Burger. Whopper and and the chicken
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: sandwich that I used to love.
- 1:12:10Speaker 3: The torpedo roll one.
- 1:12:12Speaker 7: And I get it. I get why it tastes good
- 1:12:14Speaker 7: in your mouth, but it is the trashiest.
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: But what's true? If it tastes good in your mouth,
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: what's trashy?
- 1:12:20Speaker 7: It's the greasiest. It's the bun was stale.
- 1:12:23Speaker 3: Incorrect.
- 1:12:24Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:12:25Speaker 3: It's not the greasiest. Did you read the right signs?
- 1:12:28Speaker 7: For the torpedo chicken yeah.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: It's their old school it's the og chicken sandwich and
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: i always get it with.
- 1:12:34Speaker 7: Cheese i love that one i'm not saying it tastes
- 1:12:36Speaker 7: bad i ate it but i was like this just
- 1:12:39Speaker 7: doesn't this is not as good this the quality is
- 1:12:41Speaker 7: not as good as it is at mcdonald's i would
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: not say greasy at all it.
- 1:12:46Speaker 11: Seems sad though like their burgers are more sad like
- 1:12:50Speaker 11: almost like a Soggy-ness-ish.
- 1:12:52Speaker 3: It was sad.
- 1:12:52Speaker 8: Where are you going?
- 1:12:53Speaker 3: They're flame broiled. Exactly. And that's what used to be
- 1:12:57Speaker 3: the thing.
- 1:12:57Speaker 7: Like, oh, we make it to order.
- 1:12:59Speaker 3: It's flame broiled.
- 1:13:00Speaker 7: And I'm like, what happened to that?
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: It does taste flame broiled.
- 1:13:03Speaker 7: Sammy, it looks sad.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: It is.
- 1:13:04Speaker 11: There's something sad about it. I'm with Sheena.
- 1:13:07Speaker 3: It's droopy. It's soggy.
- 1:13:09Speaker 10: You guys are smoking crack.
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: What are you doing after the show?
- 1:13:13Speaker 7: I guess going to Burger King.
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: Let's go. I'm saying, like, we live close to each other.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: We go the same way.
- 1:13:17Speaker 6: We did yesterday.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: It's not going to be out of the way for
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: either one of us. You and I will go.
- 1:13:21Speaker 7: I have a doctor's appointment.
- 1:13:22Speaker 4: You can support yourself, Burger King.
- 1:13:23Speaker 7: Yeah, I want to check my cholesterol after that.
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: What kind of doctor's appointment?
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Boobies.
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: Oh, that doesn't affect what you eat. I know, I'm
- 1:13:29Speaker 3: just kidding.
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: Right?
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: Hopefully. I don't know.
- 1:13:33Speaker 7: No, it'll make my boobies bigger.
- 1:13:35Speaker 4: They're going to smush it against the glasses.
- 1:13:37Speaker 3: Did you have Burger King today? Did you just have
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: a chicken sandwich? Now, if you had to choose.
- 1:13:43Speaker 10: actual white trash fast food, I would say Arby's.
- 1:13:47Speaker 7: Agreed.
- 1:13:48Speaker 3: I love Arby's. Me too.
- 1:13:50Speaker 10: All my white trash friends, they love Arby's too.
- 1:13:52Speaker 3: Menace? Yeah. Remember how I surprised you that one time
- 1:13:55Speaker 3: and I said, hey man, I know for the longest
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: time you've been wanting to go to Dubai. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:14:01Speaker 3: Are we going somewhere? Please. I would like to try
- 1:14:06Speaker 3: the Arby's Steak nuggets. Have you seen those? Oh, yes.
- 1:14:12Speaker 3: Looking them up right now. Yeah. They're just bringing them back.
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: They might just be out now or whatever. But it's
- 1:14:17Speaker 3: like little chunks of steak, but how they have chicken nuggets.
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: They're little steak nuggets.
- 1:14:21Speaker 4: What a nice gift for minutes.
- 1:14:23Speaker 3: I know, right? Well, he's been giving me, and fairly,
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: he's been giving me fair criticism. He's like, when's the
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: last time you've been to Arby's? And I go, you're right.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: I'm not saying you're not correct on that. So you've
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: got to open your mind.
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: I don't know about these photos. I mean, it's fast food.
- 1:14:40Speaker 3: It's not Ruth's Chris Steak Nuggets. I know. Longhorn.
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: So for what it is. Why do it then? No, no,
- 1:14:48Speaker 3: because I have not been to Arby's and I'm told
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: that Arby's is lit. Is lit. I refuse to believe that.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: And wet.
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: Yeah. Damp.
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: Burger King, I don't really feel greasy.
- 1:15:01Speaker 9: No.
- 1:15:02Speaker 7: But that's the thing. The chicken sandwich, hella greasy. And
- 1:15:06Speaker 7: the burger patty dry. I didn't enjoy it. And I
- 1:15:09Speaker 7: loved Burger King. That was the spot. The french fries
- 1:15:12Speaker 7: are still awesome.
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: You know what keeps me from going to Burger King
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: as much as I would otherwise? And I'm not like
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: an everyday or even an every week fast food guy.
- 1:15:22Speaker 3: You wouldn't know it by looking at me. But I'm not.
- 1:15:25Speaker 3: It's the location. It's right off the highway. It's right
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: off the freeway.
- 1:15:30Speaker 15: It is.
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: And to go where I need to go after I
- 1:15:32Speaker 3: leave there, I have to go the opposite way down
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: the street so I can whip a U-turn and then
- 1:15:37Speaker 3: go back. You can't just pull out of the parking
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: lot and make the left. And make the turn that
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: you need.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: You can't because there's concrete medians and things like that.
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: So that's the part that I go, you know what?
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: Why are we going the extra hundred yards for Burger King?
- 1:15:50Speaker 3: It's not that much out of the way. I mean,
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: it's negligible. But it is a thought. And that's probably what,
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: even subconsciously, keeps me from just making that decision. But
- 1:16:00Speaker 3: I went there a number of times just because I
- 1:16:02Speaker 3: felt bad. And then every time I was there, I
- 1:16:04Speaker 3: was like, I always forget how much I really enjoy...
- 1:16:06Speaker 3: That Junior Whopper's good.
- 1:16:08Speaker 7: It was fine, but I just remember loving Burger King.
- 1:16:11Speaker 7: I'm like, this place kind of sucks.
- 1:16:13Speaker 4: Tripping.
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: Okay. But I'm willing to try the... No, those Arby's
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: Steak Nuggets. Are those... Are those at all locations? Are
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: those nationwide?
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: Are they testing them out?
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: No, no, no. They should be.
- 1:16:25Speaker 10: I just don't know if they are released again just yet.
- 1:16:28Speaker 4: 20 piece.
- 1:16:29Speaker 3: I just read about it. It's more like I want
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: to say the last week or so. They just had
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: an announcement about it.
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: It looks like only the price varies by location. It
- 1:16:37Speaker 4: doesn't say limited location, though.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: In fact, I might have.
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: Five piece or nine piece.
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: Let me go. I literally have a packet. I'm on Arby's.com.
- 1:16:45Speaker 3: Of food news stuff at the ready. Of course. Just
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: in case it ever comes up. Arby's.com says it's available.
- 1:16:51Speaker 11: I see that it's nationwide and it is available currently.
- 1:16:54Speaker 11: Came out a few days ago.
- 1:16:55Speaker 4: Domino's.
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: Dave's Killer Pumpkin Spice. Protein Boyardee. I like that.
- 1:17:01Speaker 4: Menace, we're not going to Dubai again.
- 1:17:02Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:17:02Speaker 4: But I will try the steak nugget.
- 1:17:04Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:17:05Speaker 7: I thought you were going to buy a franchise.
- 1:17:06Speaker 3: What do you think we're talking about here? We're going
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: to Singapore.
- 1:17:10Speaker 4: We're just turning the tables and going back.
- 1:17:13Speaker 3: To Burger King.
- 1:17:14Speaker 7: A lot of people are saying about Burger King it
- 1:17:16Speaker 7: might be the location. Do they vary by location?
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: Of course.
- 1:17:19Speaker 3: It's all the same stuff. But it's franchised.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: No, no, no.
- 1:17:24Speaker 10: The quality of what you're going to get always varies.
- 1:17:27Speaker 7: I need to go to a different Burger King because
- 1:17:28Speaker 7: ours blows.
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: All right. Check it out. <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>.
- 1:17:34Speaker 7: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> <HAL>.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: <HAL> <HAL> <HAL> You're wrong. Here's one trashy thing I'll
- 1:17:42Speaker 3: give you. Okay. Okay. At the Burger King, the desserts
- 1:17:49Speaker 3: that I saw, I don't order them, but it's like a,
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: Hershey's pie.
- 1:17:53Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:17:53Speaker 3: They're very, they're very Walmart ish. Yes. And yeah, it
- 1:17:57Speaker 3: comes like in a, like in a box. It looks
- 1:17:59Speaker 3: like they just went out and they purchased a bunch
- 1:18:01Speaker 3: of these at Walmart and just like, Oh yeah, we'll
- 1:18:02Speaker 3: put these on the menu as burger King dessert. Now
- 1:18:06Speaker 3: I get, they're trying to do, they're trying to tie
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: in the brand. People like Hershey's. They like these different things.
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: And they're so freaking good. And they might be great,
- 1:18:14Speaker 3: but it looks trashy, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:18:16Speaker 10: It's Walmart level mashup of deliciousness.
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: Mr.
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: Grimace gets it. He says Burger King heats up their
- 1:18:23Speaker 7: food in the microwave after sitting in the steam tray
- 1:18:25Speaker 7: for who knows how long. If you want it fresh
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: and you're willing to wait, you have to give them
- 1:18:29Speaker 7: an extra seven or so minutes to cook it.
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: They all use the microwave stuff.
- 1:18:33Speaker 7: Yeah, but this one you can tell. Do they have
- 1:18:36Speaker 7: to throw the shredded lettuce in when they're microwaving?
- 1:18:39Speaker 3: I think you went in with stinking thinking.
- 1:18:41Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: I went in knowing I love Burger King and this
- 1:18:44Speaker 7: was going to be fun.
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: And they put all that mayo on the chicken sandwich.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: Oh, yeah.
- 1:18:47Speaker 7: They've got to do something to make this.
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: Bread damn son Speaking of trashy, I got a brand
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: new redneck news that will be coming up for you
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: next here on The Woody Show. 877-44-WOODY is the phone number.
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: I have a little scab on my lip because I
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: fit my lip.
- 1:19:09Speaker 15: Any other day of the week, I'll be a thousand
- 1:19:12Speaker 15: percent down.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: It would not bug you. But he has a visible...
- 1:19:16Speaker 3: I have.
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: A little scab on my lip.
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: Then just don't kiss. You'll take your end of the
- 1:19:19Speaker 3: hot dog. Yeah. Put it into the bag. And then
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: that way there's like a dental dam.
- 1:19:23Speaker 7: Like a dental dam.
- 1:19:24Speaker 3: Oh, okay. In front of you. Big stupid face.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Holy show.
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: So obviously, Dolly Parton, 80. Who's the third?
- 1:19:34Speaker 7: Hayden Panetteri.
- 1:19:36Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:19:36Speaker 7: And now Tim Curry.
- 1:19:37Speaker 3: Tim Curry.
- 1:19:38Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:19:39Speaker 3: Also 80. Tim Curry's passed away. He was 80.
- 1:19:42Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:19:43Speaker 3: Bad shape for a while, though. He was not doing well.
- 1:19:46Speaker 3: To be honest, I thought he already passed away.
- 1:19:48Speaker 4: For quite a long time.
- 1:19:49Speaker 3: It just broke. Yeah, so Tim Curry, 80. Yeah. I
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: didn't mean to bum Greg out when I said this.
- 1:19:57Speaker 3: After we heard that Dolly Parton died 80 years old,
- 1:20:00Speaker 3: I go, man, so 40 truly is middle age, like midlife.
- 1:20:04Speaker 4: Yeah, I would say, honestly, and I think they even
- 1:20:07Speaker 4: figured this out many years ago, that your mid to
- 1:20:10Speaker 4: late 30s is middle life.
- 1:20:12Speaker 3: Based on life expectancy. I know Sammy hated it when
- 1:20:15Speaker 3: I said it.
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: That's midlife.
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: But I just had that moment, like when you're processing
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: the information, you're like, man. So I'm already more than halfway.
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: Assuming I lived to 80, I'm already more than halfway done. Right. Oh,
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: believe me. With life.
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:20:30Speaker 3: It's so weird.
- 1:20:31Speaker 4: When you said that, I was already thinking it. I'm
- 1:20:33Speaker 4: already at the stage where I'm like, how many summers
- 1:20:35Speaker 4: do I have left?
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:20:37Speaker 4: Like, it's just crazy.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: You really want to bum yourself out?
- 1:20:40Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:20:40Speaker 3: Somebody mentioned this one to me. Sorry, everybody. Like when
- 1:20:44Speaker 3: you don't live close to your parents or whatever. Oh,
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: I hate this. Even if you do live close, but
- 1:20:50Speaker 3: how often do you really see them unless you're living
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: in their house? But all right, well, take how often
- 1:20:56Speaker 3: you see your parents on average, right? And then do
- 1:20:59Speaker 3: the math on that. Like if Greg's got X number
- 1:21:01Speaker 3: of summers. Maybe two or three times a year I
- 1:21:03Speaker 3: see them. And based on how old they are or whatever,
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: how many times are you ever going to see... Right?
- 1:21:10Speaker 4: I know.
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: That's a mind of. That's why you just don't... You
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: ignore all that stuff, right? Menace, isn't that the whole... Yeah, yeah.
- 1:21:16Speaker 3: You just go live your life. Yeah. Or you go
- 1:21:18Speaker 3: like Morgan's going with. That's not my reality. Yeah. That's
- 1:21:24Speaker 3: not my reality. But Sammy, you're middle-aged.
- 1:21:26Speaker 15: Ew.
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: I know.
- 1:21:27Speaker 3: You're all old and fat. Yeah.
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 1:21:30Speaker 7: It's over.
- 1:21:31Speaker 3: It's over. It's over.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: Dude.
- 1:21:32Speaker 4: You should not even try anymore.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: I know. It's funny.
- 1:21:36Speaker 3: People have been calling... Well, not a ton, but there
- 1:21:38Speaker 3: have been a handful of people who have called the
- 1:21:40Speaker 3: radio station. Quite a few. Like the main number to
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: talk to the guy who's like the– again, I always
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: forget what his title is. Is he like the general
- 1:21:52Speaker 3: manager or whatever? Regional president. General manager, Michael Scott.
- 1:21:55Speaker 7: Right, exactly.
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: But anyway, whoever– he's like the guy who's in charge.
- 1:21:59Speaker 4: He oversees everything. The main guy.
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:22:01Speaker 3: He goes, so– I launched them last week. He goes,
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: so hey, so I got some people calling me. They're
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: really upset about Fat Sammy.
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:22:08Speaker 3: I'm like, he goes, which is funny because she's like, what,
- 1:22:12Speaker 3: like 100 pounds soaking wet. I go, that's the joke.
- 1:22:15Speaker 3: She's not fat. That's the joke.
- 1:22:17Speaker 7: If any of us were that weight, we'd all be
- 1:22:19Speaker 7: in the hospital.
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: It's like a fat guy named Tiny. Yeah, exactly. Fat Sammy.
- 1:22:24Speaker 3: But they're like legitimately upset and they're wanting him to do, quote,
- 1:22:27Speaker 3: something about it.
- 1:22:28Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:22:30Speaker 7: Put Sammy on a diet.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: Sammy, stay for the record. Get mad because we called
- 1:22:34Speaker 3: menace retarded. Take issue with that. Fat Sammy, really?
- 1:22:40Speaker 12: It's great for me, though, because here in the halls,
- 1:22:42Speaker 12: because that's what's going around is that people are upset
- 1:22:44Speaker 12: about it.
- 1:22:45Speaker 3: They're like, you are not fat. Thank you. And this
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: is what menace been saying. Sarcasm's dead, guys. Oh, it's
- 1:22:54Speaker 3: people in the building complaining, too?
- 1:22:56Speaker 7: Well, no, people in the.
- 1:22:57Speaker 11: Building are hearing about what's going on.
- 1:22:59Speaker 7: Yeah, I'll walk down the hall.
- 1:23:00Speaker 11: People will be like, Sammy, you're withering away. I'm like, oh, babe.
- 1:23:04Speaker 4: It's a frequent topic of conversation at the urinal, too.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: Like, hey, how's work?
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: You know, Sammy's really not that bad.
- 1:23:11Speaker 3: I know, they're all trying to count.
- 1:23:12Speaker 4: Not that bad.
- 1:23:13Speaker 12: They're trying to counteract you a-holes, and it's nice.
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: Are you being serious? Oh, yeah. Somebody made a comment
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: at the urinal to you about it?
- 1:23:19Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 1:23:20Speaker 3: They did?
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:23:22Speaker 4: Everything good?
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: Well, how you doing?
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: Good, good.
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: But hey, listen, Sammy is, I don't know what you
- 1:23:27Speaker 4: guys are saying.
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: Who said that?
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: She's not. I've heard it from, I'm not going to
- 1:23:31Speaker 4: say one, but the other one was the guy you
- 1:23:33Speaker 4: just had lunch with, too. I got another complaint.
- 1:23:37Speaker 3: Are you serious?
- 1:23:39Speaker 4: Or if there are no complaints, he gets bummed out.
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: I love when people complain.
- 1:23:43Speaker 3: He does. He told me about a couple of the
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: other complaints. I forget. I don't know. And he likes it.
- 1:23:50Speaker 3: One of the other stations did or said something. About us? No, no.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: About one of the other. Hold on, Greg. Hold on. Really? Yeah.
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: That guy?
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: He's the last person that should be saying anything about anybody.
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: I won't disagree. About what you're supposed to or not
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: supposed to do at work.
- 1:24:18Speaker 4: Talking about weight? Kidding.
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: Kidding. Anyway, guys, no need to be alarmed. It's sarcasm.
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: She weighs like four pounds.
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: Yeah. And.
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: She didn't put on the typical Woody Show 15 that
- 1:24:32Speaker 3: the rest of us do. It was like maybe two pounds.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: That's always been the joke. Like when people go off
- 1:24:35Speaker 3: to college, the freshman 15, right? When people join the
- 1:24:38Speaker 3: Woody Show, historically, they join a club of people who
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: at minimum gain 15, 20 pounds. At least.
- 1:24:46Speaker 11: Oh, yeah, I was warned about that. Like, oh, just wait,
- 1:24:49Speaker 11: you're going to gain 15 pounds instantly.
- 1:24:50Speaker 3: I'm like, no, I won't.
- 1:24:52Speaker 7: I think I'll be okay.
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: It's called willpower.
- 1:24:56Speaker 13: Sammy, the person who complained to me was in the kitchen,
- 1:24:59Speaker 13: and they said, Sammy has been complaining to me about
- 1:25:02Speaker 13: how you guys are.
- 1:25:03Speaker 11: That's not true.
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: Okay, I just wanted to check that out.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 1:25:05Speaker 3: We're perpetuating this kind of rumor.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: It's not true.
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: Do you have an issue with Fat Sammy? No.
- 1:25:11Speaker 12: I don't know why that person said that, to be honest,
- 1:25:13Speaker 12: because I did have a conversation with that person and
- 1:25:15Speaker 12: that was not said.
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: He's goofy. He's trying to be funny. Yeah, I was
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: just like, wow, okay, really, of all the things. He's like, yeah,
- 1:25:22Speaker 3: there's stuff I'm driving in, and I hear you guys
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: talking about it. I'm like, oh, boy, I'm going to
- 1:25:26Speaker 3: hear about that one. I don't hear about it. But
- 1:25:28Speaker 3: then I hear about Fat Sammy. He really does sound
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: like that.
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: Yeah, he does. And he's like, I love it when
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: people complain.
- 1:25:34Speaker 10: This might be a great filter, though. And he sniffs
- 1:25:36Speaker 10: a lot.
- 1:25:37Speaker 12: Oh, yeah.
- 1:25:38Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm like, man, this guy doing coke? Yeah. It's
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: always a million miles an hour.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: Maybe it's a previous injury. I don't know.
- 1:25:47Speaker 10: Because it might be a great filter, though, because if
- 1:25:50Speaker 10: you think we're serious, you might just be too stupid
- 1:25:52Speaker 10: to work here.
- 1:25:53Speaker 6: Yeah, maybe.
- 1:25:53Speaker 10: Because you're supposed to be in the know.
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: Or you're perfect for a job like this. The dumber,
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: the better.
- 1:26:00Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:26:00Speaker 3: Half the time. All right.
- 1:26:03Speaker 6: 877-44-Woody.
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: I've been trying to get to this for 15 minutes.
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: We got a brand new Redneck News.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 1:26:09Speaker 16: If you own more camouflage shirts than collared ones, we
- 1:26:14Speaker 16: gonna hear about your ass on Redneck News for sure.
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: Woo-hoo!
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: All right, well, check it out. This is how there
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: is a redneck moon rising.
- 1:26:25Speaker 8: Oh.
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: Guess what the big trend in baby names is.
- 1:26:29Speaker 10: Oh, no.
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: Uh....
- 1:26:33Speaker 7: Tracy Lynn.
- 1:26:34Speaker 3: There has been a sharp increase. Brittany. In white trash
- 1:26:39Speaker 3: parents naming their kids after weapons.
- 1:26:42Speaker 7: Oh, yes.
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: Machete.
- 1:26:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: Names like Gunner. Oh, that's a cool name. That's a
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: redneck name.
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: I love that name.
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: You do?
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: I do. Gunner. That's cool. I think it's like Swedish
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: or something. I don't know. That's like. Exactly.
- 1:26:56Speaker 4: Badass.
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: I was going to say, it sounds like 80s hair
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: metal to me, but it's probably because Gunner Nelson.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: Gunner Nelson.
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: Gunner Nelson. Oh, I would love.
- 1:27:03Speaker 4: I will. I will legally change my name to Gunner.
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: That's so cool. You would? I would.
- 1:27:07Speaker 9: Gunner.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: That's cool. Also on the increase. Wesson. Wesson.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Caliber.
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: Caliber. Cannon. Remington. Beretta. Colt. Winchester.
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: Cutter.
- 1:27:23Speaker 3: And even the name Dagger, way up.
- 1:27:26Speaker 7: Dagger.
- 1:27:27Speaker 3: That's some white trash-ish right there. Super classy. Ultimate white trash.
- 1:27:32Speaker 7: I love that name.
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: I didn't know that was a weapon. Colt 45. Oh,
- 1:27:35Speaker 3: I mean, I think of like a horse.
- 1:27:36Speaker 11: Yeah, or like three ninjas.
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: No, but a little kid named Colt.
- 1:27:42Speaker 3: Colt's got a mullet, Tourette's, and a stripper mom.
- 1:27:47Speaker 7: Yeah, they're cute.
- 1:27:48Speaker 4: Smokes Marlboro Reds at seven. The ultimate trash name.
- 1:27:52Speaker 3: Uh-huh. Yeah, 98% of people say that that name is
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: white trash. Oh, yeah. The other 2% also say it's
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: white trash, but they just identify as the 2%.
- 1:28:02Speaker 4: Or they're the parent of a cult, that's why. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:28:05Speaker 3: The Rednecks love it, though, man. They say the names
- 1:28:07Speaker 3: are unique. Others, though, laughing at them, trying too hard
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: to be badass and setting the poor kids up to
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: get goofed on by the other kids when they get older,
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: which is also true. Beretta. I disagree.
- 1:28:16Speaker 4: If your name is Gunner, you're not.
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: Getting goofed on.
- 1:28:18Speaker 7: If your name is Beretta?
- 1:28:19Speaker 3: I don't know. Maybe, but not Gunner.
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: Well, there you go. Parents naming their kids after weapons.
- 1:28:25Speaker 3: It's a big trend in the redneck community.
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: This is my son, Ninja Star.
- 1:28:30Speaker 3: And that is today's Redneck News. Admittedly, I don't know
- 1:28:38Speaker 3: anything about this. Have you guys seen the show on Netflix?
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: It's called The Ultimatum. No, no.
- 1:28:46Speaker 7: I don't think so.
- 1:28:46Speaker 11: I mean, I do know about this. This is Nick
- 1:28:48Speaker 11: Lachey and his wife, Jessica.
- 1:28:50Speaker 7: Oh, Love is Blind.
- 1:28:50Speaker 11: Well, Love is Blind was their first one.
- 1:28:52Speaker 12: This is their second one, the follow-up to that, which
- 1:28:54Speaker 12: is called The Ultimatum, and it's marry or move on.
- 1:28:59Speaker 7: Is it the people from Love is Blind?
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: No.
- 1:29:02Speaker 7: Oh, okay, so that's why I haven't.
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: Yeah, no.
- 1:29:04Speaker 12: So, basically, it's existing relationships where people either, like, want
- 1:29:08Speaker 12: to get married or move on or figure out where
- 1:29:10Speaker 12: this is going.
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: Okay, so they've been in a relationship for a while.
- 1:29:13Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: And now one person, at least one person in the
- 1:29:16Speaker 3: relationship is like, hey, man, we need to either... Ish
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: or get off the pod. Yeah, go to the next
- 1:29:20Speaker 3: step here or... Right.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:29:22Speaker 12: So, on the show, they take six couples... And they
- 1:29:26Speaker 12: basically have them all mingle together. And they each need
- 1:29:28Speaker 12: to find somebody new within that group to live with
- 1:29:32Speaker 12: for three weeks.
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: These games are crazy.
- 1:29:35Speaker 12: And then after that, they go back to living with
- 1:29:38Speaker 12: their original partner for three weeks.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: Mm-hmm.
- 1:29:41Speaker 12: And then when it's all over, they have to decide
- 1:29:43Speaker 12: if they're going to marry their original partner, marry the
- 1:29:46Speaker 12: new partner, or just kind of call it quits with
- 1:29:48Speaker 12: all of them.
- 1:29:49Speaker 7: So marry the original or marry the three-weeker?
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: Yeah, they created Love is Blind.
- 1:29:54Speaker 7: They know how.
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: To do it. And in this clip, Jeff, one of
- 1:29:58Speaker 3: these couples, right?
- 1:29:59Speaker 13: Yeah, this is one of the couples. And this dude,
- 1:30:01Speaker 13: this is a reunion show, by the way. So after
- 1:30:03Speaker 13: all the messiness that Sammy just talked about, they get
- 1:30:05Speaker 13: back together. And this dude decided to take this opportunity
- 1:30:09Speaker 13: to completely crash out and unload on his woman.
- 1:30:12Speaker 3: This is the guy. These were... The original couple? This
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: was a long-term relationship, right? Yes. This is not the
- 1:30:17Speaker 3: new kind of overnight relationship. Okay. The last time I
- 1:30:22Speaker 3: broke up with you, guess what we did?
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: We.
- 1:30:25Speaker 3: Oh, my God. Watch your mouth. We did, and you
- 1:30:29Speaker 3: know we did. I know we did. And you left
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: that day, and I texted you over the phone.
- 1:30:33Speaker 4: After we had broken up, after we f.
- 1:30:34Speaker 3: * * * ed, and I said I regretted f * * *
- 1:30:37Speaker 3: ing you. You did not say that.
- 1:30:38Speaker 1: Yes, I did.
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: After I busted, dude.
- 1:30:42Speaker 7: This guy is pure class.
- 1:30:47Speaker 3: After I busted, dude.
- 1:30:48Speaker 10: After I just busted one, I said I regretted it.
- 1:30:52Speaker 3: You know what? That's when regret sets in. Immediately.
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: It's a fact.
- 1:30:58Speaker 3: Greg and I have talked about that a number of
- 1:30:59Speaker 3: times where it's like, I don't know what it is
- 1:31:02Speaker 3: about dudes. There's a lot of stuff that seems like
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: a really good idea.
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: All the way to the end.
- 1:31:07Speaker 3: And all those ideas are out the window with your load. Oh, yeah.
- 1:31:13Speaker 10: And then the clarity is crazy.
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: Yes. Because then all you're left with is clarity. You're like.
- 1:31:19Speaker 4: Verity and shame. That was not good.
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: What did I do?
- 1:31:22Speaker 7: Oh my God. But she clearly decided not to.
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: She just banged a flashlight.
- 1:31:26Speaker 4: It's a fact.
- 1:31:27Speaker 3: It seemed like a good idea because I'm like, you
- 1:31:29Speaker 3: know what? Maybe I will put my penis in this.
- 1:31:31Speaker 6: It is a good idea.
- 1:31:31Speaker 7: Knock one out.
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I'll just knock one out here. Could I just
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: do it just the old fashioned way? Sure. Rosie Palm
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: and the Five Sisters.
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: Next thing you know, you're at your kitchen sink washing
- 1:31:40Speaker 4: out a flashlight. Oh, my God.
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: She clearly said no to this guy. And all the
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: good ideas left your body, and now you're just left
- 1:31:49Speaker 3: with regret. Yeah. That's how it works. That's how it works, man.
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: So he's telling the truth. He's being transparent then. Apparently. Yeah.
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: yeah after i busted one just the way he said
- 1:32:01Speaker 3: over the.
- 1:32:01Speaker 5: Phone after we had broken up after we had after
- 1:32:04Speaker 5: we and i said i regretted you.
- 1:32:06Speaker 9: Oh you did not say.
- 1:32:08Speaker 3: That yes i did after i busted dude.
- 1:32:11Speaker 10: Watch your mouth this one is not on my radar
- 1:32:15Speaker 10: i'm watching i'm watching house of stassi right now what
- 1:32:18Speaker 10: is it How's the Stassi? Stassi from Vanderpump Rules.
- 1:32:21Speaker 3: She has her own show. Never heard of her. Isn't
- 1:32:23Speaker 3: that funny?
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: I couldn't tell you anybody on Vanderpump Rules, but now
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: it's Stassi from Vanderpump Rules. It's like- She has her
- 1:32:29Speaker 3: own show now. Right.
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: All I know is the main one, Lisa Vanderpump, right?
- 1:32:33Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:32:33Speaker 3: Are you watching, what's it? Bailin' Out Loud. Bailin' Out Loud, yes.
- 1:32:39Speaker 3: So you're into that? I don't- Because I keep hearing
- 1:32:42Speaker 3: Jeff talk. I'm like- I would never peg you, Jeff.
- 1:32:45Speaker 3: I would have never guessed.
- 1:32:48Speaker 4: Imagine the shame of that.
- 1:32:50Speaker 3: I would have never guessed in a million years that
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: Jeff Garcia would be into that show. I am into
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: the clips, to be quite honest. Gina and Greg are
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: far more into the show.
- 1:32:59Speaker 7: Oh, Menace is the OG.
- 1:33:00Speaker 3: Menace as well.
- 1:33:01Speaker 13: But I really enjoy the clips, and please don't judge me,
- 1:33:04Speaker 13: but when she goes off with her Tourette's, I just
- 1:33:07Speaker 13: find that completely hilarious. They're all in my feed now
- 1:33:11Speaker 13: because I watch them all the time, so... I get
- 1:33:13Speaker 13: a good laugh.
- 1:33:14Speaker 3: So she got married? Yeah.
- 1:33:15Speaker 4: I thought she was getting married.
- 1:33:17Speaker 10: So this whole season has been about building up to
- 1:33:19Speaker 10: her wedding.
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: All right. So this girl, she's got Tourette's. She's the
- 1:33:22Speaker 3: one that we've talked about her before. We've had clips where- Yeah.
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: Not choke that chicken. Smack that chicken. Something.
- 1:33:30Speaker 4: Wind it up.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: Wasn't she mentioning like guns and stuff in line at
- 1:33:33Speaker 3: the airport? Yeah. So you can't do that.
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:33:36Speaker 10: Initially she was like getting really popular on social media
- 1:33:39Speaker 10: and then eventually she got her own show.
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:33:41Speaker 10: And then, uh, yeah, she's had a couple of seasons now.
- 1:33:44Speaker 3: Anyway, she had this boyfriend. They got engaged. Now they're
- 1:33:48Speaker 3: getting married, and Jeff is so invested.
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: I am.
- 1:33:50Speaker 13: Just because it's funny because she's walking down the aisle,
- 1:33:53Speaker 13: and she calls her dad a bald bitch.
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: I guess that's one of her triggers, like bald people.
- 1:33:59Speaker 4: I'm so into it. I even texted Mario.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: Today is wedding day.
- 1:34:03Speaker 10: Yes.
- 1:34:04Speaker 13: I'm going to watch a full episode today, I think. Yeah,
- 1:34:07Speaker 13: I'm into it, man. I saw a little bit of
- 1:34:08Speaker 13: a preview.
- 1:34:09Speaker 3: It's so good. It's on TLC, right? I watch it
- 1:34:12Speaker 3: on HBO Max. Like you don't know. No, I don't.
- 1:34:15Speaker 3: How do you watch it? I don't think it's TLC.
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: On Instagram.
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:34:17Speaker 3: Yeah, same.
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: Facebook. HBO Max.
- 1:34:20Speaker 13: Okay, yeah, because there's another thing on TLC. I get
- 1:34:22Speaker 13: a lot of ads for TLC sometimes when the show's on.
- 1:34:24Speaker 13: TLC's the best network for this. The two little people
- 1:34:27Speaker 13: that are married, I love them. I have no idea
- 1:34:29Speaker 13: what their names are, but I've watched like 20 minutes
- 1:34:31Speaker 13: of the show.
- 1:34:31Speaker 3: Yeah, the guy that makes the beats? Yeah. Yeah. And
- 1:34:33Speaker 3: they put this little dude. They're legit midgets?
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:34:37Speaker 3: Well, yeah, they have like something where they're really, really.
- 1:34:39Speaker 3: They're dwarves. Dwarfism. Yeah.
- 1:34:41Speaker 4: But it's more than that. They're wheelchair bound.
- 1:34:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:34:44Speaker 4: Like they're dying.
- 1:34:45Speaker 13: But they put the little homie Woody on Dave and
- 1:34:48Speaker 13: Buster's on one of those motorcycles, dude.
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: I guess that was like a dream of his.
- 1:34:52Speaker 13: And they put him on that. And it was the
- 1:34:55Speaker 13: best comedy I've seen in a long time. I was
- 1:34:58Speaker 13: so worried that he was going to fall off the motorcycle, man.
- 1:35:00Speaker 4: But God bless him.
- 1:35:01Speaker 7: Is it Little Couple?
- 1:35:03Speaker 4: I don't know what it's called, but I know exactly
- 1:35:05Speaker 4: who you're talking about.
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: See, I can watch clips of something like that. The
- 1:35:08Speaker 3: full show? Talk about regret, Greg, right? Mm-hmm. I have
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: all these things that are really good TV shows, movies
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: and stuff, that are on my to-do list to watch.
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: And I'm always sitting here, you know, I just don't
- 1:35:21Speaker 3: have a lot of time. I haven't had a lot
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: of time to sit down and watch TV. I want to.
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: I'm not above it. And when I sit down, And
- 1:35:29Speaker 3: if that's what I spent my time watching, it's not
- 1:35:31Speaker 3: going to be. And by the way, there's a, there's
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: a phrase for, I think I have post nut clarity.
- 1:35:35Speaker 7: Oh, that's a classic.
- 1:35:36Speaker 3: Yeah. PNC post nut clarity. That's a, that's a thing.
- 1:35:40Speaker 10: But the shows, dude, you're missing out, man. Like since
- 1:35:43Speaker 10: we're getting the shout out shows that I like.
- 1:35:45Speaker 3: Oh, wait, the one that makes beats is a girl menace.
- 1:35:49Speaker 10: Apparently the one with the glass.
- 1:35:51Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:35:51Speaker 3: I don't know, dude. I don't know.
- 1:35:53Speaker 10: I want to shout another, another show since I, I
- 1:35:56Speaker 10: might lose my time.
- 1:35:57Speaker 3: A thousand pound roomies.
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: What?
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: I've been picking that one up, too. Wait, is that
- 1:36:01Speaker 3: a different group? Yeah, it's two girls.
- 1:36:03Speaker 7: Or a different couple?
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: I've seen that. Who live together, yeah. Yeah, I've seen that.
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: These are not the thousand pound sisters. No, thousand pound roomies.
- 1:36:09Speaker 7: And together they make a thousand pounds?
- 1:36:11Speaker 10: Yeah, and they already have a second season going on.
- 1:36:14Speaker 10: So check that one out.
- 1:36:15Speaker 3: It really is idiocracy.
- 1:36:17Speaker 8: Oh, 100%.
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: It is.
- 1:36:18Speaker 3: Ouch, my balls. But that's what makes the entertainment, you know? Dude. Yeah. 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:36:25Speaker 3: You can text us, check in over to 22987. More
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: Woody Shows next. The Woody Show returns right after these messages.
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: That's my answer!
- 1:36:33Speaker 8: 100%!
- 1:36:33Speaker 3: The Woody Show.
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: All right, Menace. Yes. You're up. All right. This is
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: Menace's non-game game.
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: It is.
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: I don't know how it's going to go, but we're
- 1:36:49Speaker 3: going to try it. Well, we've done this once before, right?
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: Kind of.
- 1:36:53Speaker 7: We realized it was a non-game. Yeah.
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: It made no sense.
- 1:36:56Speaker 3: It's a non-game.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:36:58Speaker 10: So what I'm going to do is I'm going to
- 1:37:00Speaker 10: throw out a word, and you can't hesitate.
- 1:37:01Speaker 3: You automatically have to respond. With your first thought. So
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: that's what it's called. First thought. Okay.
- 1:37:08Speaker 10: And then I'm going to follow up and ask you
- 1:37:09Speaker 10: about what you said.
- 1:37:11Speaker 3: Okay.
- 1:37:12Speaker 4: So do we all yell out at the same time?
- 1:37:14Speaker 3: No, we'll go one by one.
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: We'll make it easier.
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: Okay. So let's go with Sammy first.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:37:19Speaker 3: Sammy. First thought. You have to respond immediately.
- 1:37:23Speaker 11: Just one word or just anything?
- 1:37:25Speaker 3: Whatever comes to your mind. Okay. Okay. Here we go. Favorite. See?
- 1:37:30Speaker 8: Movie.
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: Took too long. Yeah, I mean, I don't know.
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: No, but it doesn't take too long.
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:37:33Speaker 3: You gotta give people like a, you know. Yeah, but
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: now they're gonna try to come up with a better answer.
- 1:37:38Speaker 3: I need like, I don't know.
- 1:37:39Speaker 11: I didn't give a good answer.
- 1:37:40Speaker 3: Yeah, you paused. Yeah, you paused.
- 1:37:42Speaker 7: Like you would probably think of something that's your favorite thing.
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: Try with Seabass. Okay.
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: Pain.
- 1:37:46Speaker 3: Killer. Killer. Why'd you think of killer? Because that's the
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: first thing that, like a compound word. Yeah, painkiller.
- 1:37:54Speaker 5: Like for Sammy's, the original thing I thought, and had
- 1:37:56Speaker 5: I said if I were in Sammy's position, would be child.
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: Favorite child.
- 1:37:59Speaker 5: Favorite child that's like that's the natural continuation who's your
- 1:38:02Speaker 5: favorite child uh of the ones i have yeah i've
- 1:38:05Speaker 5: met like six or eight my mom's trying to get
- 1:38:07Speaker 5: we're trying to get a trip organized to uh to canada.
- 1:38:11Speaker 10: Uh you have to have a favorite so far you
- 1:38:13Speaker 10: know i love them all okay what was.
- 1:38:16Speaker 3: Your best experience with that.
- 1:38:18Speaker 5: My best experience well there's one i've met two or
- 1:38:21Speaker 5: three times so he like and not only did i
- 1:38:23Speaker 5: go see him and his family but he came up
- 1:38:25Speaker 5: no that's not true either because i met the british
- 1:38:26Speaker 5: kids a couple times too Okay, the best experience was
- 1:38:29Speaker 5: going to go see the British.
- 1:38:30Speaker 3: Kids because we had a very fancy dinner. At a
- 1:38:32Speaker 3: Brazilian place on the river.
- 1:38:35Speaker 4: Little kids with accents. So cute.
- 1:38:37Speaker 3: Well, they were big at the time, yes. All right.
- 1:38:39Speaker 3: So is this almost like kind of like a psychological
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: test kind of thing? It kind of just starts a discussion.
- 1:38:44Speaker 3: So there's no point, there's no time, there's no... Yeah, yeah.
- 1:38:47Speaker 3: It's a non-game game. Yep, it is.
- 1:38:50Speaker 4: Got it.
- 1:38:50Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: All right, here we go.
- 1:38:51Speaker 4: It's a non-game game.
- 1:38:52Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: Greg.
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:38:53Speaker 3: Wish. List. List.
- 1:38:56Speaker 4: Now I'm just obsessed with compound words.
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: Same.
- 1:38:58Speaker 3: That's the first one I thought of, too.
- 1:39:00Speaker 4: Yeah, wish.
- 1:39:01Speaker 10: Okay, why do you think you thought of list? And
- 1:39:03Speaker 10: do you have a list of wishes?
- 1:39:05Speaker 4: No, I don't have a vision board or a wish list.
- 1:39:08Speaker 4: I mean, I have wishes in my head.
- 1:39:09Speaker 3: What would be on the top of your wish list?
- 1:39:11Speaker 4: Top of my wish list? It's always money, you know?
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: Just money. Who doesn't love money? So you can buy
- 1:39:20Speaker 3: what specifically now? Like, what's your buff?
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:39:22Speaker 4: That's what's so stupid about me. There's nothing I want
- 1:39:25Speaker 4: to buy. That's not true. I just want the money.
- 1:39:28Speaker 3: Seriously.
- 1:39:29Speaker 7: You've said that before.
- 1:39:29Speaker 3: I have said that before. Just so you can check
- 1:39:31Speaker 3: your account every day?
- 1:39:32Speaker 7: Where's the money?
- 1:39:33Speaker 3: I get that.
- 1:39:34Speaker 4: I don't care about the stuff I can buy. I
- 1:39:36Speaker 4: just want the money.
- 1:39:37Speaker 3: Comfort I thought there was like a particular car there
- 1:39:39Speaker 3: was something yeah there was something I can't remember all
- 1:39:42Speaker 3: time dream car Aston Martin but that's stupid I wouldn't
- 1:39:45Speaker 3: waste however much those cost on that yeah.
- 1:39:49Speaker 5: Really there's not like a new couch or something yeah
- 1:39:52Speaker 5: a new a new piece.
- 1:39:53Speaker 4: Of furniture I've been spending money on home stuff.
- 1:39:56Speaker 10: A new umbrella that you really want already bought one
- 1:40:00Speaker 10: isn't that like your seventh umbrella.
- 1:40:02Speaker 4: 17th okay they break every five seconds.
- 1:40:05Speaker 3: Where's Morgan Okay. Question for Morgan, because like, um, on
- 1:40:10Speaker 3: like she talks about, and I want to, I want
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: to clarify. Hey, you're a, when you say you have
- 1:40:15Speaker 3: like a vision board, is it literally like an actual,
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: is it a physical pictures?
- 1:40:20Speaker 7: And yeah.
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: Yeah. Do you have a wishlist? Well, no, she has,
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: she talks about like on my vision board, but do
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: you have, I'm picturing like a, like a piece of
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: poster board.
- 1:40:29Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:40:29Speaker 7: We cut out magazine.
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: Right. Exactly. Do you have something like that?
- 1:40:31Speaker 7: I have vision boards, but those don't work like your
- 1:40:34Speaker 7: mind works.
- 1:40:35Speaker 3: But you have a physical one.
- 1:40:36Speaker 7: Something you can look at.
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: I make them every year. We got to bring that in.
- 1:40:40Speaker 3: You do? So where do those live? Do you keep
- 1:40:43Speaker 3: it out somewhere that you can see it?
- 1:40:44Speaker 11: My current one's in the bathroom. So every time I
- 1:40:46Speaker 11: sit on the toilet, every morning.
- 1:40:48Speaker 7: I look right at it.
- 1:40:49Speaker 3: And what's on that one? I think I have a
- 1:40:51Speaker 3: picture of it.
- 1:40:52Speaker 7: It says victory is yours. There's cars I want. It
- 1:40:55Speaker 7: was before I booked a fight. So fight stuff.
- 1:40:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:40:58Speaker 6: Nice.
- 1:40:59Speaker 3: All things that are happening.
- 1:41:00Speaker 6: Okay.
- 1:41:00Speaker 3: You want to try to play the non-game game? Okay.
- 1:41:03Speaker 3: All right. Blue. Bluey. Bluey. Do you watch Bluey at all?
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: No.
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: Are you excited for the movie? Why would you think Bluey?
- 1:41:10Speaker 11: Because it's everywhere, but I've never seen it in my life.
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: How do you see it everywhere then? Because adults are
- 1:41:15Speaker 3: into it. What the hell?
- 1:41:16Speaker 11: Yeah, Bort's standing in line to meet a fake Bluey.
- 1:41:19Speaker 3: Yeah. I saw something.
- 1:41:20Speaker 4: Not even the real Bluey.
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: Yeah. I saw that on the... on Instagram. I just
- 1:41:25Speaker 3: saw him. I didn't dig much into it. I just
- 1:41:28Speaker 3: saw that he was at the Bluey movie. Bluey's massive. No,
- 1:41:31Speaker 3: he wasn't at the movie. He was at the convention. Oh,
- 1:41:33Speaker 3: that was a convention? Not for Bluey. I thought it
- 1:41:36Speaker 3: was a movie. It looked like in the lobby of
- 1:41:38Speaker 3: a movie theater. He was at D23. Bluey is part
- 1:41:43Speaker 3: of D23. Gotcha. But yeah, it's everywhere.
- 1:41:45Speaker 11: You go in a store, tons of Bluey's crap everywhere.
- 1:41:47Speaker 3: Yeah, Bluey is massive. All right. I'm glad that you're
- 1:41:50Speaker 3: a fan. Okay, no. Okay, Woody. Here we go. Let's see.
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: Here's a word. Okay. No, no. I'm trying to think
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: of a good one. Okay.
- 1:42:03Speaker 9: Finger.
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: Monkey. Monkey. Monkey. Oh, the best. Do you like finger
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: monkeys like Greg and I?
- 1:42:08Speaker 15: Nope.
- 1:42:08Speaker 7: Oh, they're so cute.
- 1:42:09Speaker 3: You wouldn't want one? No, but I'm stuck with Greg.
- 1:42:11Speaker 3: I know.
- 1:42:12Speaker 4: It's got to be a compound word.
- 1:42:14Speaker 3: Greg, why did you ruin the game?
- 1:42:15Speaker 4: No, Sammy ruined it with moving.
- 1:42:18Speaker 3: Seabass, because he said that he got pain. He said killer.
- 1:42:21Speaker 3: He said why killer?
- 1:42:22Speaker 7: I've done every one of these in my head and
- 1:42:24Speaker 7: none of them were compound words.
- 1:42:26Speaker 4: Like when you said favorite, I was thinking chocolate.
- 1:42:29Speaker 7: Yeah, I was thinking pizza. For Wish, I was thinking
- 1:42:32Speaker 7: upon a star.
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: But finger monkey.
- 1:42:33Speaker 11: I thought that too.
- 1:42:34Speaker 7: We'll just start.
- 1:42:35Speaker 5: Menace has been talking about finger monkeys for decades.
- 1:42:37Speaker 3: Now, did that burn in your brain? Finger monkey? No,
- 1:42:40Speaker 3: just the first thing because I didn't want to pause.
- 1:42:41Speaker 3: I was so worried about a pause and being called
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: out for a pause.
- 1:42:44Speaker 7: What if somebody brought.
- 1:42:45Speaker 3: I could have said banging.
- 1:42:47Speaker 7: What if somebody.
- 1:42:49Speaker 4: Looking good.
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: Sandwiches.
- 1:42:50Speaker 7: What if somebody brought a little finger monkey in here
- 1:42:53Speaker 7: right now and it was the cutest thing ever? You
- 1:42:54Speaker 7: wouldn't want to hold it?
- 1:42:55Speaker 3: You wouldn't hold the monkey? I'm not saying I hate them.
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: You ask me if I want one.
- 1:42:59Speaker 7: Would you want to hold it and take pictures with
- 1:43:01Speaker 7: it and give it kisses?
- 1:43:03Speaker 3: I mean, no. I mean, it'd be cool to see.
- 1:43:05Speaker 3: I think I might be afraid of it. If it
- 1:43:06Speaker 3: was here, I wouldn't go out of my way to
- 1:43:08Speaker 3: see one, hold one, interact with one.
- 1:43:10Speaker 10: I really wanted one for a long time, but then
- 1:43:12Speaker 10: Greg and I met finger monkeys, and dude, they poop
- 1:43:15Speaker 10: like crazy.
- 1:43:16Speaker 4: Yeah, all the monkeys they had were in diapers, and
- 1:43:18Speaker 4: they were oddly intimidating. All the monkeys.
- 1:43:21Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:43:22Speaker 10: Well, you did almost fall off that bench when the
- 1:43:24Speaker 10: one yelled.
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: I did. All right. Here we go. Gina.
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:43:29Speaker 3: Uh, let's go with, uh, yelling.
- 1:43:34Speaker 7: Yelling cheerleader.
- 1:43:36Speaker 3: Cheerleader.
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:43:37Speaker 10: Now, uh, we never asked, did you ever try out
- 1:43:41Speaker 10: to be a cheerleader?
- 1:43:42Speaker 7: No, I was a cheerleader in middle school.
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: Oh, do those count Sammy?
- 1:43:46Speaker 7: Not really.
- 1:43:46Speaker 1: No.
- 1:43:47Speaker 7: It's like seven days.
- 1:43:48Speaker 12: No, this is where, this is where it depends. Did
- 1:43:51Speaker 12: you try out or did you just sign up like
- 1:43:53Speaker 12: Pop Warner?
- 1:43:53Speaker 3: Then yes, that counts.
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:43:55Speaker 7: But by, by high school, I was more into theater.
- 1:43:59Speaker 7: I didn't really want to. But yeah, I mean, is
- 1:44:01Speaker 7: that a thing, like middle school cheerleading? I mean, you
- 1:44:03Speaker 7: did try out.
- 1:44:04Speaker 3: I mean, it was.
- 1:44:04Speaker 7: Yeah, you have to try out and make the team.
- 1:44:06Speaker 3: I said, no, if it counted. Like, how did the
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: real cheerleaders feel?
- 1:44:09Speaker 7: I wouldn't say it counted.
- 1:44:10Speaker 10: Because Sammy's very judgy on cheerleading.
- 1:44:14Speaker 3: Okay, trying out one thing, but was anybody rejected?
- 1:44:16Speaker 9: Yes.
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: Did anybody not make the cut?
- 1:44:21Speaker 7: I don't know if you guys will know what this is.
- 1:44:23Speaker 7: Maybe Saving My Teeth is the only one. But the
- 1:44:25Speaker 7: ones who were rejected went to Color Guard.
- 1:44:27Speaker 3: Yes, those are always the gross cheers. Is that the
- 1:44:29Speaker 3: one with the flags? Yeah, fat flags.
- 1:44:32Speaker 4: They had cheerleaders in middle school?
- 1:44:34Speaker 3: I don't remember that.
- 1:44:35Speaker 11: Yeah, it depends on what school you went to.
- 1:44:37Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 1:44:38Speaker 3: All right, how about this one, Woody? Shine Down. I
- 1:44:43Speaker 3: thought the same.
- 1:44:45Speaker 1: See?
- 1:44:46Speaker 3: It's one of your favorite bands. I do like Shine Down. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, Shine,
- 1:44:50Speaker 3: Collective Soul. Great song.
- 1:44:52Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:44:54Speaker 3: Okay, Morgan, Penn. Penny Wise.
- 1:44:56Speaker 7: You mean the clown or the band?
- 1:44:59Speaker 3: I'm trying to be quick. Penny Wise.
- 1:45:00Speaker 7: I don't even know who that is.
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: You don't know who Penny Wise is?
- 1:45:03Speaker 11: I mean, I've obviously heard of it, but I couldn't
- 1:45:05Speaker 11: tell you what they look like.
- 1:45:06Speaker 3: Really? He, she? Yeah, I don't know if it's a clown.
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: Penny Wise.
- 1:45:09Speaker 4: The clown?
- 1:45:10Speaker 3: Yeah, we talked about the movie. Did she even know
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: it was a clown?
- 1:45:12Speaker 7: That's what I was going to ask.
- 1:45:14Speaker 3: What is Penny Wise the clown associated with? A movie.
- 1:45:17Speaker 10: Okay.
- 1:45:18Speaker 3: What movie? Called what?
- 1:45:19Speaker 7: Oh, God knows.
- 1:45:20Speaker 3: Pennywise?
- 1:45:21Speaker 8: Pennywise.
- 1:45:22Speaker 3: Well, yeah, but like what movie?
- 1:45:23Speaker 7: Based on a book. Famous book.
- 1:45:26Speaker 3: That's not going to help.
- 1:45:28Speaker 7: Can I give the author? That'll help.
- 1:45:30Speaker 3: Oh, yeah. Morgan? I do know how to read.
- 1:45:32Speaker 7: Stephen King?
- 1:45:34Speaker 3: Oh, no. You might see it because of the band, too, though.
- 1:45:37Speaker 7: The band.
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: There's a band, Pennywise.
- 1:45:38Speaker 5: How about there have been two movies and a TV
- 1:45:41Speaker 5: show and she works in media?
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: And the movies weren't, the newer ones weren't even that
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: long ago. But when did they come out? In the
- 1:45:49Speaker 3: past 10 years when you were working in media. There
- 1:45:52Speaker 3: was commercials on the radio. Have you ever heard of It? Yeah,
- 1:45:56Speaker 3: like where they're found in the sewer and the red balloon.
- 1:45:59Speaker 7: His name is Pennywise.
- 1:46:01Speaker 10: I like playing with Morgan more, actually.
- 1:46:06Speaker 3: That's Menace's, as you can hear, non-game game.
- 1:46:10Speaker 4: Who won, man?
- 1:46:12Speaker 3: It's the Seinfeld of games. It's really kind of about nothing.
- 1:46:18Speaker 4: So a pair of nuns in Brazil didn't get along.
- 1:46:22Speaker 4: They were forced to work together. They ended up getting
- 1:46:25Speaker 4: pretty close. They both quit the convent, went lesbo for
- 1:46:29Speaker 4: each other, and got married.
- 1:46:30Speaker 3: Nice. How about clam smacking at the convent? Fuzz bumping
- 1:46:36Speaker 3: for Jesus. I got it. All right, what is it?
- 1:46:39Speaker 4: Bad habits.
- 1:46:44Speaker 3: Well, obviously, you know, a lot of stuff being said
- 1:46:47Speaker 3: about Dolly Parton. Oh, it's wall-to-wall coverage. Tim Curry. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:46:51Speaker 3: You know, people have a lot to say, and they feel,
- 1:46:57Speaker 3: you feel connected to, even though you don't know these people,
- 1:47:00Speaker 3: you feel connected to them. Very.
- 1:47:02Speaker 9: Right?
- 1:47:03Speaker 4: Very.
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: I mean, Gina can speak to that.
- 1:47:05Speaker 7: I don't know any celebrity that I feel like this for.
- 1:47:08Speaker 3: Yeah, what were you saying, Greg?
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: So Dolly Parton, my favorite memory of her was she
- 1:47:12Speaker 4: was being interviewed about a movie she did with Julia Roberts,
- 1:47:15Speaker 4: Steel Magnolias. Which I think I saw. I remember it
- 1:47:19Speaker 4: being sad. But on the set of that movie, what
- 1:47:22Speaker 4: people liked about what Dolly Parton said was when she
- 1:47:26Speaker 4: was asked about her castmates, one of them being Julia Roberts,
- 1:47:29Speaker 4: they filmed this movie in the South and it was very, very,
- 1:47:32Speaker 4: very hot. And Julia Roberts kept complaining about how hot
- 1:47:36Speaker 4: it was. And Dolly Parton pulled her aside. And said,
- 1:47:40Speaker 4: you need to stop complaining. You wanted this. You're in
- 1:47:44Speaker 4: a movie. You're rich and famous. Stop complaining. And I
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: thought that was the most awesome thing I've ever read
- 1:47:50Speaker 4: about Dolly Parton. And I found that Anthony Hopkins, the
- 1:47:54Speaker 4: guy who played Hannibal Lecter, said something similar. He didn't
- 1:47:58Speaker 4: specify what movie he was doing, but he was with
- 1:48:01Speaker 4: a castmate, a woman, who was getting berated at and
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: yelled at by the director.
- 1:48:07Speaker 3: Screamed.
- 1:48:07Speaker 4: So he went up to the director, pulled him aside,
- 1:48:10Speaker 4: and I think you of all people, Woody, would appreciate this.
- 1:48:13Speaker 4: He said to the director, don't ever raise your voice
- 1:48:15Speaker 4: at her again. Don't ever yell on a set again.
- 1:48:18Speaker 4: We're doing a stupid movie. It's not important.
- 1:48:21Speaker 3: And I thought, finally, like an A-lister like him, A-lister
- 1:48:26Speaker 3: like Dolly. calling it out it's entertainment it's and he
- 1:48:30Speaker 3: literally said that it's a stupid movie it's not important
- 1:48:33Speaker 3: i love that it's.
- 1:48:34Speaker 7: Awesome yeah tell kubrick who made people cry yeah exactly.
- 1:48:38Speaker 4: Every set and that's what i liked about dolly she
- 1:48:40Speaker 4: was just down to earth not that i ever met
- 1:48:43Speaker 4: her but that's everything you read.
- 1:48:44Speaker 3: About yeah somebody said you know there's a lot of
- 1:48:47Speaker 3: people that care about celebrities but dolly parton was a
- 1:48:52Speaker 3: celebrity that cared about the fan like truly cared about
- 1:48:55Speaker 3: you People.
- 1:48:56Speaker 9: 100%.
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: Not even just fans, but just in general, people. Did
- 1:48:59Speaker 3: you see that letter that she left, wrote for Eminem?
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: That was awesome. That was cool. That was unexpected. Wait,
- 1:49:05Speaker 3: what was that?
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: No, I didn't.
- 1:49:07Speaker 7: She saw him at an award show and wanted to
- 1:49:08Speaker 7: meet him, but she goes, I hate award shows and
- 1:49:10Speaker 7: I didn't, you know, stay the whole time and I
- 1:49:12Speaker 7: just think you're amazing.
- 1:49:13Speaker 3: Yeah, congratulations. Yeah, wrote like a really nice, really nice letter.
- 1:49:17Speaker 3: I think, you know, especially when you have, now there's
- 1:49:20Speaker 3: been a bunch of videos of Kenny Rogers because they
- 1:49:23Speaker 3: did all those duets together. Oh, yeah very close and
- 1:49:26Speaker 3: kenny rogers was another one of those guys who was
- 1:49:29Speaker 3: just an icon of a time right like 80s like
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: that guy epitomizes like that like in almost like no
- 1:49:38Speaker 3: other decade really i mean like he is 80s doesn't
- 1:49:42Speaker 3: absolutely doesn't make the move to the 90s he was
- 1:49:44Speaker 3: around until you know whatever but he was still doing
- 1:49:46Speaker 3: some stuff but like that guy is quintessential 80s right
- 1:49:50Speaker 3: so that whole like Dolly Parton, Mr. T, you know,
- 1:49:54Speaker 3: Kenny Rogers. So I think I think what happens, too,
- 1:49:58Speaker 3: is that when people from that time in your life,
- 1:50:00Speaker 3: we're speaking as Gen Xers.
- 1:50:02Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:50:02Speaker 3: But like from when people of that time pass away,
- 1:50:06Speaker 3: I saw it put this way. That makes a lot
- 1:50:09Speaker 3: of sense. You get homesick for a time and a
- 1:50:12Speaker 3: place that no longer exists. Yeah.
- 1:50:15Speaker 7: There's no anchor to that time anymore.
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's not necessarily even all about Dolly Parton
- 1:50:20Speaker 3: or whoever the celebrity is. It just makes you long
- 1:50:23Speaker 3: for a time and a place that no longer exists.
- 1:50:26Speaker 7: Yeah, you feel untethered.
- 1:50:27Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:50:29Speaker 7: And what I was saying before, too, is I think...
- 1:50:31Speaker 7: And I still, I'm waiting to hear if there's anyone
- 1:50:34Speaker 7: else you can think of that she was, in my opinion,
- 1:50:36Speaker 7: the last of the true American icons that bonded the
- 1:50:40Speaker 7: entire country.
- 1:50:41Speaker 3: People said... Tom Hanks, when you asked that question, he's
- 1:50:45Speaker 3: a universally loved. I don't know if it's the same.
- 1:50:49Speaker 3: He's loved.
- 1:50:50Speaker 10: But again, like Dolly took her fame and went above
- 1:50:54Speaker 10: and beyond to help the world. And I don't think
- 1:50:58Speaker 10: there's anybody like that.
- 1:51:01Speaker 8: No.
- 1:51:01Speaker 3: What she's saying is like another Betty White was another person.
- 1:51:05Speaker 10: You're talking about people that are beloved like Tom Hanks,
- 1:51:07Speaker 10: but taking Betty White.
- 1:51:10Speaker 3: Was she above and beyond? Or was she just really
- 1:51:13Speaker 3: fun and friendly and everybody loved her?
- 1:51:15Speaker 10: Yeah, I think she was beloved, yeah. But I wouldn't
- 1:51:18Speaker 10: put her in the same status as Dolly Parton.
- 1:51:22Speaker 7: I agree with Woody in that there's not like politically like, oh,
- 1:51:25Speaker 7: that side hates this person and this side hates this person.
- 1:51:27Speaker 7: Everybody loves Tom Hanks, but what menace, what you're saying
- 1:51:30Speaker 7: is she's in rarefied air where she just compounded it
- 1:51:33Speaker 7: to a level I don't think we'll ever see again.
- 1:51:35Speaker 3: Sure, which is true. But I'm saying like, I'm just
- 1:51:38Speaker 3: trying to think of.
- 1:51:39Speaker 7: Somebody said Morgan Freeman.
- 1:51:41Speaker 3: No.
- 1:51:41Speaker 7: I'm just not, I'm not getting the answer that I want.
- 1:51:46Speaker 3: Yeah, but I'm thinking what you're saying. Universally loved.
- 1:51:48Speaker 7: Tom Hanks, I think, is the closest one.
- 1:51:50Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah. Someone who, you know, the Betty White.
- 1:51:54Speaker 7: People go, oh, no.
- 1:51:55Speaker 3: Dolly Parton.
- 1:51:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:51:57Speaker 7: Can I tell you?
- 1:51:58Speaker 17: When Mr.
- 1:51:58Speaker 3: Rogers died.
- 1:51:59Speaker 7: Oh, God, that one really hit a lot of people.
- 1:52:01Speaker 3: Everybody liked Mr. Rogers.
- 1:52:03Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:52:03Speaker 7: Of course.
- 1:52:04Speaker 10: That's somebody that took their fame and did good things.
- 1:52:07Speaker 7: Yeah, that would be in the same category for sure.
- 1:52:09Speaker 7: Can I give you my two favorite Dolly quotes that
- 1:52:11Speaker 7: aren't the ones we hear all the time? Well, maybe
- 1:52:13Speaker 7: for some people, but I love, figure out who you
- 1:52:16Speaker 7: are and do it on purpose. And my favorite, don't
- 1:52:19Speaker 7: be so caught up making a living that you forget
- 1:52:21Speaker 7: to make a life.
- 1:52:23Speaker 3: That was a Dolly quote?
- 1:52:24Speaker 7: Yes. Well, it's attributed to her. I'm sure she may
- 1:52:27Speaker 7: have heard it from someone, but I mean, what a
- 1:52:29Speaker 7: great reminder.
- 1:52:30Speaker 3: Keanu Reeves.
- 1:52:34Speaker 7: We're getting close.
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: Willie Nelson, somebody said. I think Willie's beloved, but.
- 1:52:40Speaker 7: But we'll all kind of expect it. He's 200 years old.
- 1:52:41Speaker 10: But you hear about Keanu and what he does behind
- 1:52:44Speaker 10: the scenes and cuts a lot of people in on
- 1:52:47Speaker 10: all the money that he's bringing in and things that
- 1:52:51Speaker 10: he has done.
- 1:52:52Speaker 3: For other people.
- 1:52:53Speaker 7: I will accept Keanu and Tom Hanks.
- 1:52:57Speaker 3: I think eventually maybe like an Adam Sandler. Just someone
- 1:53:00Speaker 3: who seems to be loved by everybody. That's a good one.
- 1:53:02Speaker 7: That's pretty good.
- 1:53:03Speaker 3: That's a good one. Yeah, and The Rock. Once they
- 1:53:04Speaker 3: get into being in their... 60s, 70s.
- 1:53:07Speaker 17: Oprah?
- 1:53:07Speaker 3: I think at one point, maybe.
- 1:53:11Speaker 7: At the height of her power?
- 1:53:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I think anybody who then starts to get or
- 1:53:16Speaker 3: dabbles in the political, I think that's when they start to.
- 1:53:20Speaker 4: Yeah, because Dolly left that out.
- 1:53:22Speaker 7: Oh, she refused. She said, I will not talk politics.
- 1:53:25Speaker 7: I'm not going to alienate my fans.
- 1:53:26Speaker 4: That's what I was saying. All these celebrities that are
- 1:53:29Speaker 4: singing her accolades right now, be more like her.
- 1:53:31Speaker 7: Be more like Dolly.
- 1:53:32Speaker 12: And I think the thing about Dolly was that you never,
- 1:53:35Speaker 12: as popular as she was, you never sensed that she
- 1:53:37Speaker 12: had an ego in any way.
- 1:53:39Speaker 11: I don't think Oprah comes off like that.
- 1:53:41Speaker 7: And it's so funny. Somebody with all the wigs and
- 1:53:43Speaker 7: jewelry and rhinestones has no ego. You know, she's a
- 1:53:46Speaker 7: one-of-a-kind person.
- 1:53:47Speaker 4: That was her other great quote. It takes a lot
- 1:53:49Speaker 4: of money to.
- 1:53:50Speaker 3: Look this cheap.
- 1:53:51Speaker 15: The Woody Show.
- 1:53:52Speaker 3: More fun than gonorrhea.
- 1:53:54Speaker 4: I mean, I've had gonorrhea a few times and I'd say,
- 1:53:57Speaker 4: I haven't had gonorrhea.
- 1:53:58Speaker 3: The Woody Show. Well, that's going to do it for Wednesday.

- 1:54:25Speaker 4: Yeah, carrots and celery are the perfect snack if you're
- 1:54:28Speaker 4: hungry and you want to stay that way.
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: It's so filling. So satisfying. I love being a rabbit.
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: Just have a carrot.
- 1:54:35Speaker 3: You can eat one small bag of chips and it's
- 1:54:37Speaker 3: X number of calories and they get that same number
- 1:54:39Speaker 3: of calories. You'd have to eat 50 pounds of broccoli.
- 1:54:44Speaker 7: Those are my options.
- 1:54:47Speaker 3: And I want that. Yeah, right. You trying to sell
- 1:54:50Speaker 3: me something here? My horse?
- 1:54:51Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:54:52Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:54:52Speaker 3: Thank you very much, Greg Gorey. Thank you so much
- 1:54:55Speaker 3: for giving the Woody Show some of your valuable time

- 1:54:59Speaker 3: The rest of you guys can suck it Catch you

- 1:55:04Speaker 3: I quit this bitch.
