- 0:00Speaker 1: The Mark Simon Show on seven to tenor hey it's Friday.
- 0:07Speaker 1: That's the good news. We got a lot to get
- 0:10Speaker 1: through this hour, the Mayor Ol Debate, No Kings, Zelenski
- 0:14Speaker 1: and Latitia James and John Bolton. And if you can't
- 0:19Speaker 1: listen to the show live, you know you can listen
- 0:21Speaker 1: to the podcast if for some reason you can't listen
- 0:23Speaker 1: ten to noon. Any place you get your podcast, you'll
- 0:25Speaker 1: find the podcast of this show. And by the way,
- 0:28Speaker 1: on the weekends, there's a bonus segment that's not on
- 0:32Speaker 1: the air. You'll get a whole extra bit of a
- 0:34Speaker 1: show on the weekends if you're a podcast listener. So
- 0:39Speaker 1: the Mayor All Race, the debate was last night. It
- 0:42Speaker 1: was one hour on television and one hour after that
- 0:44Speaker 1: just streaming YouTube and all of that. It was a
- 0:49Speaker 1: little too long. Got the point after the first hour
- 0:52Speaker 1: and into the second hour. Imagine a lot of people
- 0:54Speaker 1: tuning out. It was just too long. Curtis won the debate.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I don't know if people notice that. The only problem
- 1:01Speaker 1: it was Channel four running the debate, which is always
- 1:05Speaker 1: not good. They kept trying to bury Curtis, they kept
- 1:08Speaker 1: trying to hide him, they kept going to Cuomo and
- 1:10Speaker 1: Mam Donni more and more and more and more and less.
- 1:13Speaker 1: Curtis even pointing that out to the moderators at one point,
- 1:16Speaker 1: he was great in the debate. The problem is, does
- 1:18Speaker 1: anybody notice that he won? Does it get seen by
- 1:22Speaker 1: enough people? There was no big knockout punch, That's the problem.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Moderators wouldn't even allow a space for that to happen.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Mam Donnie, if you were, I imagine he lost some
- 1:35Speaker 1: boats last night for one reason. He was just looked
- 1:37Speaker 1: a little.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Uh.
- 1:40Speaker 1: The Mam Donnie of the primaries was much faster and
- 1:43Speaker 1: more on target. This Mam Donnie was being very careful,
- 1:49Speaker 1: hedging a lot of his stuff and watering down a
- 1:52Speaker 1: lot of his points and trying to stay neutral on
- 1:55Speaker 1: a lot of things. So it wasn't the same, Mom Donnie.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Cuomo talking in that voice that he talks in, that
- 2:03Speaker 1: slow talk where he goes up and down and he
- 2:07Speaker 1: goes into that sing song when he talks. So it
- 2:10Speaker 1: wasn't effective. And he is we're talking about last night,
- 2:13Speaker 1: he got way too skinny. I don't know what it
- 2:14Speaker 1: is with the ozampic, but he lost all his bulk.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You know, you need to look a little a little
- 2:21Speaker 1: more manly to be to do Cuomo's act. He just
- 2:24Speaker 1: looks too scrawny. Now, Curtis was great, and he did
- 2:28Speaker 1: it without the beret on. Here's a bit of Curtis
- 2:30Speaker 1: last night, high level stuff. You know, he kept trying
- 2:34Speaker 1: to hit Curtis with the Trump stuff. He's the only
- 2:36Speaker 1: guy on the stage that has absolutely nothing to do
- 2:40Speaker 1: with Trump. Mom, Donnie uh Trump. That's a big war
- 2:44Speaker 1: and Cuomo and Trump. Trump has been backing Cuomo. Trump
- 2:48Speaker 1: has been on the phone trying to get help Cuomo,
- 2:51Speaker 1: trying to get Curtis. So Cuomo a deep Trump connection.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Curtis is the only one with nothing to do with Trump.
- 2:58Speaker 1: He's had no relationship with Trump, no interest in Trump,
- 3:02Speaker 1: vice versa. They don't really have much. They have never
- 3:05Speaker 1: had anything to do with each other. They've never liked
- 3:07Speaker 1: that and each other. Now this could be a help
- 3:09Speaker 1: to Curtis that he has no Trump connection at all.
- 3:12Speaker 3: Well, here's high levels of testoster and in this room.
- 3:15Speaker 3: I've had a love hate relationship with Donald Trump that
- 3:18Speaker 3: goes back.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Over thirty years.
- 3:20Speaker 3: But I know one thing we have Andrew Cuomo, we
- 3:24Speaker 3: have zon Mondami. They want to take on Donald Trump. Look,
- 3:29Speaker 3: you can be tough, but you can't be tough if
- 3:31Speaker 3: it's going to cost people desperately needed federal funds. Jorn Mondami,
- 3:36Speaker 3: the president has already said it's gonna take seven billion
- 3:39Speaker 3: dollars out of the budget right from the start if
- 3:41Speaker 3: you're elected mayor Yeah.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Now, a couple of times he called them Zorhan or something,
- 3:46Speaker 1: and I'm Donnie quickly said it's Zoran. Anytime you get
- 3:51Speaker 1: into that name correcting business, you're gonna you're not doing well.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I mean, Kamala, Kama, Kamala, whatever the hell her name is.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Remember she kept doing that name correcting thing. Oh if
- 3:59Speaker 1: you're mispronounced. If you're going to be doing that on
- 4:01Speaker 1: the campaign trail, you got a problem.
- 4:04Speaker 3: More of Curtis President of the United States, should have
- 4:06Speaker 3: been applauded by you, Johanman Dami and you Andrew Como
- 4:11Speaker 3: on the day that he brought together that international coalition
- 4:14Speaker 3: that met in Egypt that came from the Middle East
- 4:16Speaker 3: and the Persian Goal. I certainly applauded him for bringing
- 4:20Speaker 3: peace to Gaza and trying to end the hostilities in
- 4:23Speaker 3: the war between the Israelis and Hamas. So they can
- 4:27Speaker 3: be peace between the Israelis and peace between the Palestinians.
- 4:32Speaker 3: But you seem z are on to be incapable appraising
- 4:35Speaker 3: our president and aew you were incapable of. We have
- 4:39Speaker 3: to give credit where credit, sue. He's brought peace to Gosh.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Now it's Channel four running the debate. They really stink
- 4:46Speaker 1: at running a debate, maybe deliberately. They have this thing
- 4:49Speaker 1: about thirty second answers, which is ridiculous. It's a debate.
- 4:53Speaker 1: It should be two minute answers, not thirty seconds. It's
- 4:55Speaker 1: not a game show. And hopefully President Trump watched the
- 4:59Speaker 1: debate last night. He's been backing Cuomo for the last
- 5:02Speaker 1: couple months. He's been a big Cuomo backer behind the scenes,
- 5:05Speaker 1: trying to get everybody out. So Cuomo can I hope
- 5:08Speaker 1: he watched it last night, so he realizes that Cuomo
- 5:12Speaker 1: talks funny in the debates and that he's not gonna
- 5:17Speaker 1: win when he talks like that. And I don't think
- 5:20Speaker 1: he really you know, I mean, the guy's a little busy,
- 5:22Speaker 1: he's president of the United States. I don't think he
- 5:24Speaker 1: was watching the primary debates. I think if he actually
- 5:26Speaker 1: watched Cuoma in a debate, he think twice about backing him.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Here's Cuomo last night.
- 5:33Speaker 4: The Assemblyman will not announce from us. The Assemblyman will
- 5:37Speaker 4: not announce as San Piker who said America deserved nine
- 5:41Speaker 4: to eleven. The Assemblyman just said in his response, well,
- 5:44Speaker 4: it depends on occupation. That is code, meaning that the
- 5:50Speaker 4: Israel does not have a right to exist as a
- 5:53Speaker 4: Jewish state, which he has never acknowledged.
- 5:56Speaker 1: Yeah, you know the funny thing in this race, Curtis
- 5:59Speaker 1: is the only New York City candidate. Mam Donnie just
- 6:03Speaker 1: got to this country a few years ago. He just
- 6:05Speaker 1: became a citizen recently. He's not a New Yorker. And
- 6:08Speaker 1: Cuomo was born in New York, but he's lived his
- 6:11Speaker 1: entire adult life in the suburbs, not in New York City.
- 6:15Speaker 1: It's very unusual, very very unusual. You've had mayors from
- 6:20Speaker 1: out of ten. David Dinkins grew up in New Jersey,
- 6:23Speaker 1: Michael Bloomberg was from Massachusetts, but they lived their entire
- 6:27Speaker 1: adult lives in New York. Cuomo would be the first
- 6:31Speaker 1: governor not from New York City. His entire adult life
- 6:34Speaker 1: has been out there in the suburbs. He was more
- 6:37Speaker 1: of Cuomo last night.
- 6:38Speaker 4: He still won't denounce globalized the intafada, which means kill
- 6:42Speaker 4: old Jews. Just say I denounced it. He won't do it.
- 6:46Speaker 4: That's the issue and his divisiveness ronic.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Yep, you're talking. Got to stop you. That's the stupid
- 6:54Speaker 1: channel for these moderators. He's talking, stop them, stop them.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Police were a big issue. Of course.
- 7:00Speaker 4: He doesn't like the police. That's why he won't hire
- 7:02Speaker 4: more police when everyone else says we need more police.
- 7:06Speaker 4: He wants to use social workers on domestic violence calls,
- 7:10Speaker 4: which are very dangerous. And he's told you what he thinks.
- 7:14Speaker 4: He thinks the police are racist, wicked, corrupt, and a
- 7:18Speaker 4: threat to public safety.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Thank you, those are his words.
- 7:22Speaker 1: That's a channel four matters. Stop talking. You can't know talking.
- 7:24Speaker 1: It's a debate. No talking. His mom Donnie on the police.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I'm proud to have a comprehensive plan to bring new
- 7:31Speaker 2: ideas to this city. If you want more of the same,
- 7:33Speaker 2: vote for Andrew Cuomo. If you want an actual approach
- 7:36Speaker 2: to lower crime, look at our Department of Community Safety.
- 7:39Speaker 2: That is something that has been hailed by experts as
- 7:42Speaker 2: addressing so many of the pieces of why New Yorkers
- 7:44Speaker 2: are not feeling safe today. We will ensure that no
- 7:47Speaker 2: longer our police officers asked to do the job of
- 7:50Speaker 2: both policing and responding to the mental health crisis.
- 7:53Speaker 1: All right, now, you got two guys who are not
- 7:54Speaker 1: good with cops. Mom Donnie obviously hates cops. Cuomo was
- 7:57Speaker 1: terrible with the cops. Took away their quality, immunity. Change
- 8:02Speaker 1: the parole board to let all the criminals out. He's
- 8:06Speaker 1: almost left wing. Parole board let out forty three cop killers.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Almost the one of the close prisons, let the prisoners out.
- 8:13Speaker 1: He's the no bail, no jail. I mean, nobody did
- 8:15Speaker 1: more damage for policing than Cuomo. Curtis the best on
- 8:19Speaker 1: crime fighting.
- 8:20Speaker 3: What you have proposed with this new police outrage unit.
- 8:25Speaker 3: Well in danger women and children, in domestic violent situations.
- 8:29Speaker 3: I know I've been involved in so many of them
- 8:31Speaker 3: with the Guardian Angels.
- 8:32Speaker 1: They will be killed.
- 8:33Speaker 3: They will be made number two. And dealing with emotionally
- 8:36Speaker 3: disturbed persons that I have dealt with for all my
- 8:40Speaker 3: years since the Guardian Angels. You need trained professional police officer.
- 8:44Speaker 3: Think yes, you can have mental health workers with Thank you,
- 8:46Speaker 3: mister stick. That has been suggested. It was by the
- 8:50Speaker 3: homeless out and the guy you thought was the best, say,
- 8:53Speaker 3: build de Blasio disbands.
- 8:55Speaker 1: Isn't this Channel four? The Channel four moderators WNBCTV. They're
- 8:59Speaker 1: the absolute worst at a debate. As soon as you're
- 9:02Speaker 1: talking and making appoint mister Slee, we have to move on.
- 9:05Speaker 1: We have to get the climate change. Please stop talking.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You don't want anybody to talk anyway. Hey, let's get
- 9:12Speaker 1: to John Bolton. John Bolton has been indicted. He's facing
- 9:16Speaker 1: eight counts of this, ten counts of that. He's going
- 9:18Speaker 1: to have a real problem. It looks like they've got him.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I absolutely got him on the classified documents. I mean
- 9:24Speaker 1: there it is. And the guy, you know, it's one
- 9:26Speaker 1: thing if you steal him in a box, or put
- 9:29Speaker 1: him like Joe Biden in a box, or you put
- 9:31Speaker 1: him under your arm and take them like Joe Biden.
- 9:34Speaker 1: But when you email them to yourself, there's a record.
- 9:37Speaker 1: There's a record of you doing it. There, it is
- 9:39Speaker 1: on the server. They can see you did it. So
- 9:41Speaker 1: he's got a real problem. This guy could get ten
- 9:43Speaker 1: years in prison. Knowing President Trump, he probably wouldn't send
- 9:47Speaker 1: him a prison. It probably commute the sentence or something.
- 9:49Speaker 1: But though he's gonna get convicted. And as far as Bolton, now,
- 9:53Speaker 1: let this make one thing click. This is not lawfair.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Media left wing, Oh, this is a lawfair. No lawfair
- 10:00Speaker 1: is when you get indicted in four different cities at
- 10:03Speaker 1: the same time. That's lawfair when you get Can you
- 10:06Speaker 1: imagine look what Bolton's going through. It's going to drain
- 10:09Speaker 1: his finances. It's going to be a nightmare. Look what
- 10:12Speaker 1: Trump went through. They did it to him in four
- 10:14Speaker 1: cities at the same time. He's in four different cities
- 10:17Speaker 1: getting indicted in Atlanta and New York and DC and Florida.
- 10:22Speaker 1: It was absolutely ridiculous. Now, as far as Bolton getting
- 10:25Speaker 1: indicted and convicted for the classified documents, as Joe Peschi
- 10:30Speaker 1: said in Casino, this guy was just begging if he
- 10:33Speaker 1: made an example of when it was Trump who did
- 10:36Speaker 1: not really have anything serious. You know, it's going to
- 10:39Speaker 1: turn out Bolton had some serious classified documents. Trump. You
- 10:42Speaker 1: saw those hundreds and hundreds of boxes. No classified documents
- 10:45Speaker 1: were in those boxes. It turned out they did find
- 10:48Speaker 1: thirty five mildly nothing things. And the thirty five if
- 10:53Speaker 1: you put them in a folder, it's about one inch thick.
- 10:57Speaker 1: That's one inch of one box. Bolton had lots of
- 10:59Speaker 1: stuff off and Bolton. When it was Trump, Bolton went
- 11:03Speaker 1: all over the airwave saying, Trump with taking classified documents
- 11:06Speaker 1: is the most serious crime. You must be executed tonight.
- 11:10Speaker 1: You must kept going on and on about it's the
- 11:13Speaker 1: worst crime in the world. Let me see if I
- 11:14Speaker 1: can find Bolton saying.
- 11:15Speaker 5: That this is a devastating indictment. I speak here as
- 11:19Speaker 5: an alumnus of the Justice Department myself, because not only
- 11:23Speaker 5: is it powerful, it's very narrowly tailored. They didn't throw
- 11:27Speaker 5: everything up against the wall to see what would stick.
- 11:29Speaker 5: This really is a rifle shot. And I think it
- 11:33Speaker 5: should be the end of Donald Trump's political career.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Well, yeah, no, he goes on and on. Bolton was
- 11:39Speaker 1: all over television saying taking classified documents the most serious
- 11:43Speaker 1: crime there is. So I'm sure this is real karma,
- 11:49Speaker 1: real karma. And again it's not lawfair. Lawfairs're getting dited
- 11:52Speaker 1: in four cities at the same time for crimes that
- 11:55Speaker 1: nobody can even figure out. Oh hey, Trump meets with
- 11:59Speaker 1: Zelenski today, a big White House meeting taking place today,
- 12:03Speaker 1: and then at five o'clock he leaves for mar A Lago.
- 12:06Speaker 1: This will be the first time he goes to mar
- 12:09Speaker 1: A Lago. It's I don't think I think it reopens
- 12:12Speaker 1: Halloween officially, but I guess he's going to get it
- 12:14Speaker 1: in shape. Halloween is a week away, right, I think
- 12:18Speaker 1: it's yeah, a week or two away. So it'll be
- 12:21Speaker 1: the first time he goes down there. Those women, those
- 12:26Speaker 1: Palm Beach women that all descend on mar A Lago,
- 12:29Speaker 1: the ones that chase Trump around the ballroom going, how
- 12:32Speaker 1: are you remember me? No, Howie you you know that crowd?
- 12:36Speaker 1: He's going to see them again. Millennia will be cringing
- 12:38Speaker 1: at them. So that's later today, Hey, tomorrow's the No
- 12:41Speaker 1: Kings rally. These this is gonna be all over the place.
- 12:46Speaker 1: There'll be a major, huge, one times square, but they'll
- 12:48Speaker 1: be all over the city and they'll be all over
- 12:50Speaker 1: the suburbs. So wherever you are, Connecticut, New Jersey, Long Island,
- 12:55Speaker 1: they're going to be all over the place, these No
- 12:56Speaker 1: Kings Rallies, So steer clear of them. Mike Johnson says
- 13:01Speaker 1: they're actually the Hate America rallies. The problem with the Democrats,
- 13:05Speaker 1: they've become so filled with rage and hate most of
- 13:08Speaker 1: it at Donald Trump. But they're so busy hating Trump,
- 13:13Speaker 1: resisting Trump that they're no longer talking about issues. They're
- 13:16Speaker 1: no longer debating issues. There's no issues involved with them anymore.
- 13:19Speaker 1: It's just absolute raging hatred, No kings. Nobody knows what
- 13:24Speaker 1: the hell that means or what they're talking about. But
- 13:26Speaker 1: that'll be all over the place tomorrow, So watch out
- 13:29Speaker 1: for those. Hey, Letitia James, you know, the first property
- 13:35Speaker 1: with her mortgage fraud case, she's got her niece living there.
- 13:40Speaker 1: The niece is a fugitive who jumped probation and ran.
- 13:44Speaker 1: She absconded. She's a wanted felon. Now the other house
- 13:48Speaker 1: she's got, she's got her relative living there. It's a
- 13:52Speaker 1: family member. This one is another criminal Letitia James crime family.
- 13:58Speaker 1: This is her grand niece, Cayle Thompson Yerston, who's an
- 14:03Speaker 1: only fan star. If you take a look at her pictures,
- 14:06Speaker 1: you'll say, oh my god, she's an onlyfan star. She's
- 14:09Speaker 1: a public X rated social media presence. But she's also
- 14:13Speaker 1: another fugitive charged in April twenty twenty four with lying
- 14:18Speaker 1: about her felony criminal record when trying to buy a gun.
- 14:22Speaker 1: This is another member of Leticia James family. She was
- 14:25Speaker 1: disqualified from owning a firearm due to a twenty twenty
- 14:28Speaker 1: felony charge of malicious wounding in Virginia, which is to
- 14:34Speaker 1: find as a crime where a person shoots, stabs, cuts
- 14:37Speaker 1: her wounds any person intent to maim or disfigure, or
- 14:42Speaker 1: disable or kill. This is her other family. Maybe what
- 14:44Speaker 1: the hell kind of family is this? This Leticia James unbelievable. Hey,
- 14:49Speaker 1: the Al Smith dinner last night. Now it wasn't one
- 14:52Speaker 1: of the big presidential years. Last year's Al Smith Dinner.
- 14:55Speaker 1: We had President Trump there and all that, but it's
- 14:57Speaker 1: for a great cause for the Catholic Charities. Al Smith
- 15:00Speaker 1: Dinner at the brand new, reopened Waldorf Ballroom. After eight years,
- 15:05Speaker 1: they finally reopened the Waldorf. It looks a lot, well,
- 15:09Speaker 1: it's a lot the same, but a lot different. They've
- 15:11Speaker 1: reconfigured things. I think the ballroom looked better before. It's
- 15:14Speaker 1: all kind of silver. Now take a look at my instagram.
- 15:17Speaker 1: You can see some pictures. Big crowd last night, Robert
- 15:20Speaker 1: Kraft getting a big award, bon Jovi presenting it. But
- 15:23Speaker 1: I've got you can see the pictures on my Instagram.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Go to Mark Simone NYC at Instagram Mark Simone NYC
- 15:30Speaker 1: at Instagram. Hey, Barry Weiss, the new head of CBS News,
- 15:34Speaker 1: who's going to clean it up and make it fair
- 15:37Speaker 1: and balanced. She was there last night. Everybody given her
- 15:39Speaker 1: a big round of applause. But hey, we'll take some
- 15:42Speaker 1: calls next. Eight hundred three to two one zero seven
- 15:46Speaker 1: ten is the number. Eight hundred three two one zero
- 15:50Speaker 1: seven ten
