- 1:07episode of the Adventures of Frank Race, The Adventure of the Fat Man's Loot.
- 1:14The Adventures of Frank Race starring Tom Collin. The War changed many things,
- 1:29the base of the Earth and the people on it. Before the war,
- 1:33Frank Race worked as an attorney, but he traded his law books by
- 1:37the clok and dagger of the Oss. And when it was over, his
- 1:41former life was over too. Adventure had become his business, the Adventures of
- 1:46Frank Race. And now we joined Pranke Race for the Adventure of the Fat
- 2:06Man's Loop. Nothing like a Turkish baths for complete relaxation. I haven't had
- 2:15an assignment for two weeks. In the heat and humidity of the steam room
- 2:20at Baron's Baths on Third Avenue were rapidly dissappeting any desire I might have had
- 2:23forever working again. But the door opened and I was joined by a familiar
- 2:28figure who made his way through the whiskey steam of only abandon of a cab
- 2:31driver and a fog hi race going here melted and ran right down to train
- 2:40a race over here. Only car long enough to tin into one lotst It
- 2:47will a guys to have to go looking for You are the only one which
- 2:52has ever made me get dressed up in a towel. It's good for him.
- 2:53Mark opens your board. Yeah, let's get out of here. Look
- 2:58at the color of it. Be lucky if I'm not snatch, show up
- 3:01the streets and set the one Indian reservation. You don't lugg it went into
- 3:05wait outside were elected because somebody's looking for Ted Coleman, the universal Shorty Rice
- 3:10must be a jewelry Kison Massada, I mean a dimon left in the world.
- 3:15It hasn't been stalling, all right. One cold dive in a pool
- 3:19and can get out of here. Ted Coleman Insurance Company vice president, with
- 3:27the eyes of a heavyweight champion. He doesn't talk about it, but one
- 3:30of his souvenirs from the war is the Congressional Medal of Honor. As we
- 3:36came into his office, he got up from behind the desk to shake hands
- 3:38on the desk for a couple of items of jewelry. It would have made
- 3:40whistles come from the Vanderbilts. And on the wall behind the desk hung a
- 3:46map of Europe. Hello, Race, what do you think of these trinkets?
- 3:50Pretty bubbles? There must be past No stones could be that large,
- 3:53No, Race, the real they were been larger before they were cutting reset.
- 3:58Who can belong to? I'm unfortunate people who are no longer with us,
- 4:02people who were murdered in Europe during the war. I've been waiting for
- 4:06some of this stuff to turn up. This is only a small part of
- 4:10what I'm looking for, And you want me to find the rest? Yes,
- 4:14it's gonna be easy, Race, because these jewels are part of the
- 4:16loot confiscated by Herman Gerring. Oh fat stuff himself. I ain't Caring's dead,
- 4:21ain't he? Yes, he's dead? All right, but obviously somebody
- 4:25who was close to him is still alive, live and living like a king
- 4:29with stuff like this, this position. I don't like the idea of that
- 4:32race neither, no I am. Where do I start? A Nazi captain
- 4:38named Ludwig Strauss was in charge of Gerring's jewel collection. I've checked all the
- 4:42war crime records. Strauss has never been picked up. It was in a
- 4:45couple of years to change his appearance and his name. Better start in Berlin.
- 4:49That was Strauss's home. And here's some notes on him. Farmer addresses
- 4:55names of it of my friends, many of whom were taken care of at
- 4:59Nuremberg. Here's a picture of him with Gering the gambling casino garring to the
- 5:04background, and that's Strouss getting ready to throw the days. He's almost as
- 5:09fat as Garry tell me Ted one of these duels. Tune in got the
- 5:13place a seconding rid on the map mar Sat France, Torino and Geneva,
- 5:16Italy and the necklace in Barcelona, Spain. The als are in the notes
- 5:20I gave you. I guess you paid out of fortune and claims on this.
- 5:26This might sound funny coming from an insurance man race. But I wish
- 5:30we'd paid more, because that would mean that some of the owners would be
- 5:32alive to collect. I want that Strauss race. I wish I could go
- 5:40after him myself. Hell, I'll do my best ted Irene's business for Mark
- 5:44and me. We will take a plane to Berlin in the morning. Berlin,
- 5:53capital city of the losing team. And yet they didn't act like losers.
- 5:59They seem better better fed than the rest of Europe. And the old
- 6:02arrogance was returning. You could feel it behind their thin, careful smiles.
- 6:09The conversation was limited to two negative statements. None of them had ever been
- 6:13Nazis, and none of them knew anything about Ludwig Strauss. I listen,
- 6:20sounds like a party going ont someplace. You yeah, right across the street.
- 6:24Then it must be a nightclub, brother, that's for me. I
- 6:27would just love to park me tight carcass and inhale one short thing, all
- 6:31right, life. The speed had been almost deserted, but the interior of
- 6:35the club wasn't. It was more than a nightclub, and it wasn't pre
- 6:39ordinary patrons. I was gambling going on, and it was a strictly big
- 6:44time wow. Hey, we must have gotten off the wrong plane. This
- 6:50looks like Mighty Colin. It looks better than that market. You know,
- 6:53I think we hit the jackpot. You know what do you mean the croupiate
- 6:56that dice table in the corner, one of the green ice shad Yeah,
- 6:59yeah, but I don't get you haven't forgotten this picture? Ted Coleman getting
- 7:01any Hey, same guy? All right, and I pat you with straws
- 7:08and garry. What's our play? I let's see if we can't roll a
- 7:11couple of sevens? All right? Excuse me, Hey, your bets please,
- 7:16I'd like to make a private bet. Please find here all pets on
- 7:20the table. Well, he wouldn't really want me to place this photograph on
- 7:24the table, bet, did you? Kids? I'll ask the questions.
- 7:29Where's a lot of big stross? He's dead. I want to talk to
- 7:31us in private, if you'll step this way, please, all right?
- 7:40Where is it him? I do not know. I could turn this picture
- 7:43over to the denacification of I've asked not a Nazi. You know, I
- 7:47believe it, don't you? Come on? I haven't seen them since just
- 7:53before the occupation. He used to come here. There'd be night and then
- 7:57he disappeared. Keep talking. That is all I can too, Carl is
- 8:00right, is what any of us can tell you. I couldn't help overhearing.
- 8:05I was behind the drive looking out the window. I couldn't help myself
- 8:09me that did they have a picture doing? You? I am the wife
- 8:11of the men you are seeking? How Ludwig's trouse? She puts the statement
- 8:16like a hand grenade, and Mark and I reacted. No picture was going
- 8:20to rattle this woman. She was cold, cold but beautiful. Right gee,
- 8:26what she's saying? Where is your husband? Fastrous? I'm not sure?
- 8:31Nor by, Oh Sweden. I wish I could help you. You
- 8:35see, I hated my husband, but you love American investigators. If somebody
- 8:39like you, that might not be hard to learn? What have you got
- 8:43against a little vinny? I did not share his beliefs, you see.
- 8:46I was that you were not a Nazi. Did not believe Oh of course
- 8:50I do. Of course. If I sound surprised, it's only because I
- 8:54keep thinking of how much damage Adolph managed to do all by himself. Come
- 9:00on, Mark, let's get some fresh air. So here we go again,
- 9:11man, which we try a place? Norway? Are Swedeen neither one
- 9:13mark we're being stirred. No Nancy officer, hide out and away are Sweden.
- 9:18People discovered them. They turn him apart. Then for new Thinkstraus is
- 9:22still here? No too many people am I recognizing? That means we got
- 9:26nothing but the whole wide oil so car has been telling us quick story.
- 9:33Here. May I give you a right to you a hotel? Said the
- 9:37guy who was running the crack game. I know you are here someplace.
- 9:41I just run to help you. Get out of the car and walk over
- 9:43here with your hands up. Oh there you are on the doorway. I
- 9:46got the stairs somebody else's car. I was making a break for him.
- 9:52Stop, don't hit. Came out of Frank all right the side. I'm
- 10:01gonna commented that carr and get out of here. I think it is a
- 10:11race. Come ahead. I lost a lot of bloody be a prettenty gentm
- 10:15of bandaging. That ain't mine. I got a medical from the American City.
- 10:18I'll be back to see tonight. We won't be here tonight. Wait
- 10:22a minute, Wait a minute, he said, you can't move out of
- 10:24here for a couple of days. He said, sides, Well, I'll
- 10:26see what's going off on a wild course chase. So we know something.
- 10:28We do know something, Mark something. It should have been obvious, something
- 10:31that Froz Strauss made even more obvious, Like what like steering us north?
- 10:35That should mean that Strauss is someplace in the south. Yeah, yeah,
- 10:39figures where place you mentioned last night curling? Now you're guessing race. But
- 10:45for the reasons Strap spent all his spare time gambling, and a man doesn't
- 10:48change his habit to him. Yeah, but there are other places. Yeah,
- 10:52you get that man out of my pocket? Really, Mark thee Colman
- 10:54gave me. Yeah right, Yeah, look at the place that's circling than
- 10:58red when the jewels are fine. Yeah, yeah, see what you mean?
- 11:05They all fan how to run Mount a Carlo. He goes to a
- 11:07different place each time he unloads some of the stuff, but all points to
- 11:09a home base in the middle. This I gotta buy while you ride it,
- 11:13buy something else. Two tickets on tonight's Riviera expressed the Mount of Carlog
- 11:26my brother the kid and what a train. Oh, I know what they
- 11:31do with all American cattle cuss when the cows refused to ride them anymore.
- 11:35Only a few more hours. Man, you try to come and man,
- 11:37how can I sleep when this guy next to me is using my shoulder for
- 11:41a pillar? Come on, come on, wake up, monsieur. What's
- 11:46the fun asleep? For a minute, I thought you dropped dead. You
- 11:50gentlemen are tullies. You were in the jewelry business. A buying trip.
- 11:54Oh, one can pick up some wonderful barging have died there about Carlo might
- 12:00be a good spot, Monte Carlo. I'm afraid you would be disappointed.
- 12:05Most of the jewels one season, Monte Carlo, I won't buy you a
- 12:07rich American women ladiers must have some jewelry on their own. I guess it
- 12:13myself. I'm older. They get a losing streak at the casino again,
- 12:16you will be disappointed. The regular residence of Monaco are not permitted to play
- 12:20the casino. It is against the law. Really, you would find very
- 12:26everybody seems to have a suggestion in the world I should go. I do
- 12:31not understands you. Perhaps you don't will sip it? Oh this is my
- 12:35station, monsieur. Yeah, are they wait a minute away? You forgot
- 12:41some Oh that is my lunch? I overslept. My wife will ever looped
- 12:48me prepared? Please? Accept it with my compliment. Thanks. Hey,
- 12:52I wouldn't need that about with your marks. Space is a guy with just
- 12:56a farm. I'm hungry. You can wait a while. I don't think
- 13:00a look anyhow? Oh good that title over here? I look why throwing
- 13:07my quick out the window. We'll return of the adventures of Frank Race in
- 13:20just about one minute. Now, back to the Adventures of Frank Race.
- 13:35That homemade bomb would have done in the close quarters of the compartment. I
- 13:39hate to think about it, but I got it away from mark me to
- 13:41heave just in time. Even saw it tore up a section of track next
- 13:45to us and broken up windows on the train and make it look like the
- 13:46aftermath of a sandlot ball game. The blast couldn't be traced to us.
- 13:52After the authorities finished their rather confused investigation, we went on to Monte Carlo
- 13:56and settled into the hotel Crown Mallow. Hello, mister Ray. Yes,
- 14:03well, I'm Helen Varragot. You don't know me, but the sound of
- 14:07you i'd like to Well, that's just what I'm calling about. You see,
- 14:11I'm a fellow American. Yeah, looks don't match your boys, I
- 14:18mean loaves and for company. From home. I've been here for four years,
- 14:22sort of self imposed exile. Every time a new American comes down,
- 14:28I hear about it. I'm viola up to the film of the team.
- 14:31What time and wear four o'clock waiting the middle of the house to Helen Farrygod
- 14:43was something you see in dreams or I'm picture postcards. You could count seven
- 14:46different seeds of blue in the Mediterranean as you look down from the hillside.
- 14:52But beautiful as the sea was. Helen Ferragod could snatch your attention half trying
- 14:56O My blind ads don't always turn out this well. To right was definitely
- 15:01say the same thing? Will it be two or something more stimulating? This
- 15:07is definitely quantra women and I'll join you, two quants. Please, when
- 15:15we get our drinks, I'll introduce you to my protector. You see,
- 15:20I always invite a couple of extra people, just to have them on hand
- 15:24as the blind day should turn out to be disappointing. They're out on the
- 15:28balcony. Will they always be out on the balcony? Now next time we'll
- 15:33be alone? Oh, thank you? And now the balcony. There were
- 15:45three of them, two men and a woman. One of the men was
- 15:48an American businessman. Then Carpenter been on the paunchy side. Yeah, the
- 15:52distracted, futile air of the Americans get when they've been abroad for too long.
- 15:56Then there was Rudolph rich German, right down at the urbill Heidelberg Dueling
- 16:00Sky. I needed no introduction to the woman. We meet again, mister
- 16:04Ice, Yes, missus Strauss, despite all obstacles, we meet again.
- 16:08Oh, you know you can chat while I get on ra Well. I
- 16:15had to run in with some of your friends before I left Berlin. They
- 16:18were not my friends. But there's no point in telling you that you don't
- 16:22want to listen the boys Yes to the words. Perhaps in time I could
- 16:26convince you that this is hardly the place we'll be meeting again tonight, perhaps
- 16:33dinner. All right, Race, I'd like you to sell an argument for
- 16:36us, But you've just come from the states Man. A rictor thinks that
- 16:38America's offer keeping Germany down. I told him, once we've won, we
- 16:42forgot about all that nonsense. Sure we do. Carp places like Belson and
- 16:47Dark Hour, easy to begin. There you are. I think I did
- 16:51know that the note of Ione and mister Dacia's voice, I get that way
- 16:55around people like carbon dam What do you mean? I mean? I think
- 16:59you set the wall up and a nice cozy spot like this. You can't
- 17:02forget anything. You weren't hurt. I was too old, you were too
- 17:06only had no sons. It forgured easy, Oh tell her and I had
- 17:11all. I am afraid Carton that does not like it. It makes it
- 17:15even I don't like carving it. I'm surprised by you on my side by,
- 17:21mister Race, because I am a German, I was not a No.
- 17:25I won't say that. It is too commonplace coming to me. I
- 17:29might believe it, you should believe it. He lost his family at Dah.
- 17:33I'm sorry. I was a jeweler, mister Race. My company was
- 17:37well, it was comparable to your tiffnis. Now I have nothing, nothing
- 17:41but the desire to find one man and to make him pay, not for
- 17:45the jewels, but for my wife, my child, Yes blood dextra house.
- 17:57Missus run's quite an establishment, I, miss Fargut, is very very
- 18:00messu nice of you to drive me down, Miss Farret. Wish I do
- 18:06as I am tiling, monsieur. I guess the casino collects quite a bit
- 18:08of revenue. From Miss very Good and another guest, Missieur Carpenter place every
- 18:12Lee and loises. Miss Fargo does not gamble. How about Director. He
- 18:18spends most of his spa time at the casino, usually as we the other
- 18:22lady, missus Strauss, he's madness, this guy bleed. We need to
- 18:29It makes us laugh. That was always funny. Collector says, you wish
- 18:34to go directly to your tailing, missuse. No, I wish to go
- 18:37directly to the cable office. I need a little information was at the cable
- 18:45to Ted Coleman. It was the sense that little Extras was in Mota Carlo,
- 18:48were not far away, and there was a better than even chance that
- 18:52I had already met him ap. Knowing it, I went back to my
- 18:55hotel, took a fast nap and waited for the answers. Oh over the
- 19:00casino, getting my pockets picked better, rolet wheel, Oh brother might salty.
- 19:06Oh yeah, it's a cable for you picked it up at the desk.
- 19:08Good? Then what was it saying? M blooding information? Coleman dug
- 19:15up about Strauss went to school in England and the United States, and English
- 19:21is one of the languages. He speaks like a name, So how does
- 19:23that help? It helps Bloody man his physical appearance change. Heir died,
- 19:29new name. He might be almost anybody who meet. Might even mean an
- 19:32American businessman named Dan Carbon or German name Rudolf Richter. Yeah, might even
- 19:37be my grandmother William Spot what a case? Mark? Would you say that
- 19:41the piece of jewelry would be an appropriate gift for a lovely living only if
- 19:45he was going to marry the damned so he could get your clause on the
- 19:47thing in hocket if things got tough one, I've been thinking of buying a
- 19:49brooch, a large diamond brooch with a settlemental of lame. Are you off
- 19:55your rock? No Mark, I want you to go to a jewelring and
- 19:56have one made up. Race you listen to him the name. I want
- 20:00to pace a job that will look like the real McCoy. Bloody your flash
- 20:03and no value. That's different. You know that's cool. I've got a
- 20:06dress, middle lady for dinner. You look different by candle light. Race
- 20:18your eyes they're not so so cold and adamant? Different yourself make me feel
- 20:23like I miss judge Jim. As a matter of fact, I've been feeling
- 20:27sorry about him. You can make it up to me. I brought you
- 20:30something about help. Will you accepted? Got white? It's lovely nothing really,
- 20:40I would like to thank you, really, thank you. This is
- 20:44not the place. Shall we got on terrace? Yes? No, I
- 20:53can thank you. She came into my house. I said she was cold,
- 20:59but she looked her lips took me in a rocket trip at the equator
- 21:04and nothing flat. I hated to break away, but it wasn't a matter
- 21:08of choice. That gun doesn't look very friendly or race? All right?
- 21:15Oh, move them. I turned the gun toward the sky and Rictor and
- 21:19I struggling for it. You're the power of a madman. Caught his fingers,
- 21:23bent them back into the gun. But as I straightened his foot shot
- 21:26I caught me into the chin. Are you all right? Yeah, we'll
- 21:33be in eight minutes. Gun kind of man. The race? You better
- 21:38picking up to Helena's thought, I'd like to go up there myself. Must
- 21:49have been quite an evening, mister race lady. We'll be all right as
- 21:53soon as she's head some sleep. I gave her a sleeping pal. Better
- 21:56keep an eye and call me if you see Rictor wandering around. Any plans
- 22:00I will. You know you should have had dinner with me would have been
- 22:04less healthy. And also I know how to be grateful for expensive gifts.
- 22:11Glad you're impressed. I like to impress people, especially beautiful women. You're
- 22:15impressed, Mado all right. She gave are the brooch and told him to
- 22:19put it in the wall safe. It would mind driving it down. I
- 22:23let the taxi go on. I want to stop at the casino. Not
- 22:26at all? Oh cool. I am glad you asked him to drive.
- 22:37You're done, Monsieur Rice. I had the us to visit the casino this
- 22:41evening. I thought you were opposed to gambling. One is human. I
- 22:45don't lose your shirt with my salary, monsieur. Neither they ouse nor I
- 22:48can get you into much trouble. I left and wandered round the casino looking
- 22:53Bruno Rictor. I wasn't at the roulette tables. He wasn't at the dice
- 22:56tables. I went into the background room watched the play for a while.
- 23:00I decided to give it up. When I came back through the main room
- 23:03of the casino, I saw a familiar face, then Carbon and he wasn't
- 23:08happy. Shouldn't these chips. Take him off my tab. I'll give you
- 23:11a check having a losing street carponer. Oh it's you. Gambling is an
- 23:17expensive pastime. So I was giving on advice you haven't been asked for.
- 23:19I'd like to talk to him. Not now, I'm catching a plane for
- 23:22FN. In what form the sellsome Italian holdings? If it's any of you?
- 23:26O? All right? What isn't Miss Felder just called? It's about
- 23:33mister Richtera. He just killed himself up with de Villa. He jumped from
- 23:36the balcony. He's down there, raced by the rocks. Their men coming
- 23:47along the beach with torches to recover the body who made it was too upset
- 23:51to sleep. We came out on the balcony. Rudolph came in and he
- 23:53started to scream, something about being trapped. Any chill here, Look take
- 24:00it easy with her. She's in fan shape. Look, dear, let
- 24:06me call a doctor for no. No, I don't need a doctor.
- 24:11Well are you satisfied? Mister has mean you can leave my husband alone.
- 24:18Now. You can't do anything to a dead man. Lad. You might
- 24:21as well know Ludvic changed his name to Rudolph Rifte. They just came.
- 24:27I tired to help, but I couldn't. It was frightening it. Can
- 24:33I do anything to help? Miss No? Thank you? N I don't
- 24:40suppose you'd want anything around to remind you of me, missus starless. Yeah,

- 24:55I'm yes, sir, I think I will right over year. But thanks.
- 25:00You can stop performing now, Maiden. What do you mean, Race?
- 25:03I mean that Rudolph Rictor that was his real name, didn't jump off
- 25:08that balcony. He was pushed because he didn't believe made a story anymore,
- 25:12and he was getting too close to little Vig's trous All right, Race,
- 25:17go on, I don't have to go any further. I'm already there all

- 25:26felt good you didn't forget you knew it was paced and you are a native
- 25:32of mate Carlo, I am because it's against the law for local citizens to
- 25:36go into the casino. You're being a ridiculous mischief. Well we can make
- 25:38sure. Let's send a copy of your fingerprints to a MG and Nuremberg that
- 25:42won't be necessary. Race, very neat those girl, hen Robot. I've
- 25:48enjoyed this meal ticket for too long to have you mess it up. Very
- 25:52nice front, rich American girls a very common over him. So you poses
- 25:56one, give little Wig a perfect cover up his house boy and her,
- 26:00and he enjoys the luxury of the billow except for serving your tea parties,

- 26:07must you out a big push. I'll jump. I'm sorry it had to
- 26:18be this moment, yes, so am I. No, there's nothing you
- 26:23know, but he's there. You know I care for you. Mis Understanding,
- 26:30baby, I meant that I'd rather see a little big stretching roup at
- 26:33Nuremberg. I was talking about us race, you and me. Oh,
- 26:37I wouldn't plan on us meet him. I've been a stage Georg Johnny at
- 26:41times. But at jail door Johnny, Yeah, I'm afraid you'll be too
- 26:44old man attractive at the time you get out. No such language. Are
- 26:48you just sit there quietly? Well? I invite some guests to the party.
- 26:52Operate him, get me the Mota Carlo Police. The Adventures of Frank
- 27:04Race starring Tom Collins with Tony Barrett as Mark Donovan comes to You from Hollywood.

- 27:21Did Barnes be sure to be with us again this same time next week for
- 27:25another dramatic chapter in the Adventures of Frank Race Art Gilmore speaking. This is
- 27:30a Brucel's production. Welcome back. Well, of course, this episode had
- 28:08nothing to do with the Fat Man program, which we ended last week.
- 28:14This is a fascinating episode just because it takes on a frustration not typical in
- 28:22the Golden age radio emphasis. Usually the post war emphasis is on the is
- 28:32strictly on those ex Nazis who are still at large, which I think was
- 28:42the main point of this particular show, as well as all of the work
- 28:48that goes into the rebuilding and kind of a hall for peace and understanding and
- 28:55letting bygones we got bygones as move forward into the post war world. Frank
- 29:03Race definitely the war is still very much fresh in his mind, so not
- 29:12ready to just say, you know, I forgive and forget and sharing a
- 29:17frustration that doubtless many share it and was rarely expressed in media is that as
- 29:23who as soldiers, as Americans were over there, they find all of these
- 29:30people in Germany who swear up and down they weren't Nazis, and that line
- 29:36I was just you know, I'm just amazed by all the damage that Adolf
- 29:40was able to do by himself. And unless we forget Adolf Hitler and the
- 29:45Nazis, they won elections in Germany. That's how they first were able to
- 29:52work their way into political power. So clearly there was a level of frustration
- 30:00that there were people who supported and backed the Nazis before they came to power
- 30:07and through their time and power, who were simply denying any involvement even though
- 30:15they were truly involved in making them a powerful force in the world. So
- 30:21it's a very interesting and different portrayal. And this does seem like is a
- 30:29good opportunity to announce a plan a goal for a new podcast beginning next year.
- 30:38This came as a result of a part of a suggestion by Brian Ashby,
- 30:48who's a long time friend of the program, he emailed me back in
- 30:52August for future consideration. I've always thought that it would be great they have
- 30:56a podcast dedicated to the wonderful patriotic radio programs produced during World War Two.
- 31:02The podcasts could cover a lot of ground Bob Hope, Lux Radio, theater,
- 31:07great Gilder Sleeve musicals, even news broadcast with the common theme being the
- 31:11War as a backhop. Just planning a seed for future consideration, and I
- 31:17definitely thought about that, and I thought it was something that needed to be
- 31:26done. And you know, I think the big element for the form in
- 31:30doing additional podcasts has been the issue of just time. But time is I
- 31:40think truly running out for so many of the World War Two veterans that we
- 31:48have with us today, and I think it's important to honor what they did
- 31:56and to really if we could do something very different about war. So we're
- 32:01planning a limited a series podcast. It'll be called The War, and we're
- 32:09working on I'll be working on some details and it will start airing a year
- 32:15from yesterday. Lord Willing and the Creek don't rise. You know, certain,
- 32:19you know there are things beyond our control, but that could happen.
- 32:22But I am planning to inaugurate that series starting November the eleventh of twenty thirteen,
- 32:35running through June of twenty fourteen and D Day all the way to August
- 32:42fifteenth into August and the commemoration of VJ Day. So it'll be an exciting
- 32:50podcast. Today, Brian sent along some good suggestions if you have anyone's from
- 32:57World War two, and we're gonna keep it to uf that was done in
- 33:00World War Two for the most part. I may throw in a couple of
- 33:07programs that were say oss stories that could not be told while the war was
- 33:14going on, but could only be told after the war. But we're mostly
- 33:16we're going to stick to a wartime material. Uh Tom, who we mentioned
- 33:22the top of show. He asked a question over on Facebook, I no
- 33:24needed some money for your show through PayPal. It said it was going to
- 33:29uh Kin Kilts. Is this your account or a website that was set up
- 33:34to look at like yours? Love great detectors and dragging it I'm wonderful way
- 33:37to relax and fall asleep in the evening, much like weding a book to
- 33:39forget about the daily stress right before you go to sleep. Well that's a
- 33:44good question. M. King Helts was the name of a business my wife
- 33:49was running several years back, and it's the name on the PayPal account.
- 33:55And we've you know, I've never figured out how to alter the business name.
- 34:02So we share that same PayPal account and so that's why the name shows
- 34:07up there. It's caused a little confusion the past and at a situation where
- 34:12someone did not recognize it on their credit card receive. But yeah, that
- 34:16is the name that shows and there's no error there. All right, Well,
- 34:21that we'll do it for today. Join us tomorrow for the first episode
- 34:27in a new series, Call the Police, and then join us back here
- 34:30on Monday for the Adventures of Frank Race. In the meantime, send your
