Joining us this morning from the Greater Madison Golf Show is mister Jay Royal,
• 0:40
Jay, how you been. I've been good yourself. It's I'm doing
• 0:46
really well. It's that time a year, by the way, since I
• 0:49
live in Edgerton, I've got to ask what is going on with Steve Stricker.
• 0:52
I mean, the guy cannot lose saying what a play playing some good
• 1:00
golf, isn't he It's impressive to watch it is pretty amazing and I've got
• 1:03
a guess at that. Just seeing him being so successful and just enjoying his
• 1:07
time out there, it's got to be great for the for the game itself,
• 1:11
and especially here in Wisconsin. I you, of course, have have
• 1:15
the Greater Madison Golf Show kicking off tomorrow. It's at Lake Windsor this year,
• 1:18
isn't it. Yeah, we decided to change things up this year.
• 1:23
We've been thinking about this idea for for a couple of years now, and
• 1:27
we had some trouble you know, the over this last winter with the facility
• 1:34
finding some dates that would work you know for our traditional you know shows during
• 1:38
the winter, you know, slashed the off season. So we thought,
• 1:44
you know, no better time than uh, you know, this summer.
• 1:47
Since we weren't able to to have a show during the winter, we've,
• 1:52
like I said, we've been talking about this idea for a couple of years
• 1:55
now, and we thought, what no better time to try it than this
• 1:57
summer. So working with our partners out at Lake Windsor Country Club and you
• 2:04
know, we're excited to uh, you know, bring something different to the
• 2:07
table this time. We've been you know, the show has been going on
• 2:09
for ten plus years and again we thought it'd be a good time to try
• 2:15
something a little different. And that offers too is we talk about different,
• 2:19
the different vendors and different features. It offers some some other opportunities since you're
• 2:23
on the course, um for some for some great opportunities for folks attending the
• 2:29
attending the golf show, doesn't it. Yeah, you know, everything turns
• 2:32
into you know, the exciting part about it is, you know, everything
• 2:37
that we do, you know, indoors, we can you know now do
• 2:39
real golf outdoors. So you know, we've got a long drive contest we
• 2:44
were able to add you know, being outdoors, and we've got you know,
• 2:49
a hole in one contest. You know, of course everything on real
• 2:52
golf courses. We've got the putting contest you know, on the putting green
• 2:55
itself, and so you know it's it's more true to form per se.
• 3:00
We've also got you know, got the first team coming out. We're doing
• 3:05
some junior clinic. You know, we've got a golf clinics going on by
• 3:08
JBR Academy, so you can come out there, you can work on your
• 3:13
golf sewing. We got a big demo days out on the range. We'll
• 3:15
have Taylor made their callaway tricks on Wilson cob Russ and come out there hit
• 3:21
the latest clubs. You know, get some advice on the newest equipment.
• 3:24
You know, we're also able to we're doing kind of the the indoor part
• 3:27
of it also is we've got the whole entire lower level of Lake Windsor set
• 3:32
up as a big shopping merchandise store, so there'll be plenty to look at.
• 3:38
And uh, you know, he'd fill out the closet and the clubs
• 3:43
and all that kind of stuff. So some good deals going on there.
• 3:46
And so yeah, we got a bunch going on. And golf is one
• 3:49
of those and and and you know, I talked to my friends who who
• 3:52
golf often. It's it's one of those areas where there's always something new to
• 3:55
