- 0:45my name is Paul Slacus and I loved reading that beautiful poems called Forever.
- 0:53Okay, Forever. It's a good, good, good way to go.
- 0:56Best friends Forever, I think BFF. Everyone never heard of that one that
- 1:00applies to young people, animal people and everybody in between. Okay. I
- 1:07hope you enjoyed it and give you some time to think. Every day we
- 1:10will start off with a thought for the day. I'm the founder of Good
- 1:14News Broadcast. We created this back in nineteen ninety eight on July fourth,
- 1:21and our mission was to define, to receive, to create life affirming,
- 1:29thought provoking good news entertainment, events and products and services. So we have
- 1:40I feel and many people have said we've met our mission and continue on needing
- 1:46it because we are believers in humanity and the plants, in the animal kingdom,
- 1:52and the goodness of all. So wherever you are, however you are,
- 1:57whatever way you live, as long as you're kind and loving and caring
- 2:00to others, we love you. Okay. I'm will be one of the
- 2:05hosts here, one of the producers. We have a big team of people,
- 2:08and we have lots of people that are going to share their content with
- 2:12us that are very successful over the years. My career goes way back to
- 2:19CBS Television back in seventy two. Guys that do I see I had here
- 2:24then? Okay, So I got to work on some great shows and on
- 2:30A Family was one of the shows that I said, oh boy, you
- 2:35knew Archie Bunker was a biggod. You laughed with him and you cried with
- 2:38him on all of the Family, but you learned about a type of a
- 2:44person. Okay. And we are all about love and peace, okay.
- 2:47And I got to work on some of Caybernets and Sunny Shares and Precious Rights,
- 2:53a lot of them that are already on Pluto TV. And we are
- 2:55honored to be on Pluto TV and sharing our are good news. Broadcast channel
- 3:01with you. We have a ton of content over sixty five hundred shows,
- 3:07and we will will piece them together and create content, and every day there's
- 3:15more content. That's the good news. In fact, I tell many people
- 3:20I'm stressed for so much good news because out of eight billion people. Richie
- 3:28Havens once told me when we did would stock the twentieth anniversary in Times Square,
- 3:32we had the great one here in New York. I'm a New Yorker
- 3:36and um, I'm a person of the world. I will say, Okay,
- 3:42more important Lee and Richie haven said to me, maybe if we said
- 3:47ten percent of the people were I guess mentally disturbed, because you've got to
- 3:52be mentally disturbed to hurt somebody. There's no sanity in hurting anyone, especially
- 3:58physically. So he said, if we said ten percent, that ten percent
- 4:03now of eight million people is a eight hundred million. There's not eight hundred
- 4:09million people out there. I don't care what anyone says. And with that
- 4:15mindset, and they're mentally ill, and we have to help those people.
- 4:19Nobody should be hurting anybody. Land is everybody's you know. We like to
- 4:24use this picture here, I'll show it boom, bang boom. This is
- 4:28from the moon. This is NASA's photo and it's one world. Okay,
- 4:32no boundaries, no borders. I'll be on Frank, I'm a John lenonist,
- 4:36okay. And let's all just stick together and be kind to each other.
- 4:43You know, we've done a lot of concerts Peace and Earth and environmentally
- 4:47minded, sustainably minded, and I'd like to first start off our show with
- 4:54a group called OHM and Michelle Pascal is the leader of of this group and
- 5:00they are marvelous. They started off our Peace Day activities and September twenty were
- 5:06first on twenty twenty three in Times Square. And we will hear a little
- 5:13bit of a meditation from Juliana and some of Michelle, and Michelle does the
- 5:21meditation for Mayor Adams. Okay, so we are very fortunate. And guess
- 5:29who was the performers the musicians behind him Earth Wind and Fire, Yeah,
- 5:34all right, and Myrin McKinley. I mean, I just I was out
- 5:41of control. I'll be honest with you, because there's nothing more than I
- 5:45like with the Fire now there is Mother. I love them all. I
- 5:48love everybody and anybody who does something and to the best of their ability or
- 5:56the worst of their ability, as long as they don't bother anybody. Okay,
- 6:00So you're going to see with us. We're not about you've got to
- 6:02be the best. In fact, I don't even like the word best.
- 6:04The greatest thought they've got to be the greatest. You know, I'm not
- 6:08in We're not into that, Okay. We're into humanity and peace and love
- 6:14and harmony and all the good kinds of things. So we had a six
- 6:18hour Solder event and let's hear from from Michelle twenty first annual celebration in Times
- 6:25Square in New York and throughout the world. It is a great live solar
- 6:30event. Check Chuck, Chuck, Chuck, check, thank you. Okay,
- 6:49some check it out. Om Shanty okay, Oh shun see Man,
- 7:02super Max Sha super my Ron. Okay. I know everyone is ready.
- 7:31Okay, So let's introduce. Let's introduce for the meditation Juliana Clin Kurt.
- 7:40Juliana Clin Kurt is a meditation teacher in Los Angeles, dedicated for the prisoners
- 7:48of Los Angeles and with the meditation of Julianna for ten years, there is
- 7:58zero Swiss for the prisoners of Los Angeles Zeus reside for the prisoners of La
- 8:05with meditation of Juliana. Please welcome Juliana, clinkers. And when we talk
- 8:16about meditation, what is a better place to do this than in one of
- 8:24the most busy places of the world, Time Square. And this pause,
- 8:35thank you, this moment that we are calling pause the world for peace.
- 8:41We are going to use it right now to bring a moment of peace to
- 8:46each of us, because peace starts from ourself. At the moment that we
- 8:54call our mind, we are more able to be kind to the people around
- 9:01us. So what is a good way to meditate to feel? But during
- 9:11two minutes we are going to feel like the sky accompany me. During this
- 9:22minute, if you wish to close your eyes and feel your mind with all
- 9:35the clarity of the blue child, breathing all these blues in your mind,
- 9:58an excep sending the clarine of the pluta in a free cell of your body.
- 10:20And one second we can do the same, but I will guide it
- 10:26in a spaneh stabos Can west Ramen stan Clara Colo a Lemos told Clarida del
- 10:45Cielo and west Ramene x Salemo expandient Western Clarida and caring con Thentruero and let's
- 11:09open our eyes if we had them closed, and let's take a second to
- 11:16look up to this sky, beyond the stream, beyond all the images that
- 11:30we can see, we can feel the bluest sky, and we can take
- 11:39this afternoon to feel that our mind it's a mirror of the bluest sky.
- 11:54And with this sensation of clarity in our mind, we can enjoy the meazing
- 12:07voice of Michelle Pascal that is coming now on a stage to be with us
- 12:16not only quiet our minds, but to repot our energy, to done and
- 12:24to relax, both always together. So let's give enough to Michelle Pascal may
- 13:28be mad, Oh my day. All right, Thanks Michelle, Thanks Juliana,
- 14:13Thank Earth, winder Fire and all those are other great talent and musicians
- 14:18and performers on that stage. What a show, okay, And we will
- 14:24be showing that show all the time, you know, six hours. So
- 14:28we have a lot of content right there. We're going to share that in
- 14:31the next upcoming days with you. And one of the important things is that
- 14:37Michelle and a Julianna have been so successful in the Los Angeles area with the
- 14:41organization called Amity Foundation that's working with the jail system prison system and have been
- 14:48very successful. Nine of the people that they've helped give some more thought to
- 14:56the way to live life have not gone back into jail. So that's good
- 15:01news and we like that. So and I will say that, oh money
- 15:07pan me. I might not have said that perfectly, but in any case,
- 15:13it's a chant and it means in essence, the jewel in the lotus.
- 15:18I love that lotus plant of the heart right. Another is compassion,
- 15:22Okay, I think impassion is very important in life. So this show is
- 15:26a serious show and a not so serious show. You're gonna hear from a
- 15:30lot of different people here, from Ray Romano, I mean, Rosy O'donald,
- 15:35you know, other people, and you're also gonna hear you know,
- 15:37let's here right now. You're talking about something so cute, so loving,
- 15:41so caring that we want this lady to run the world. Okay, yep,
- 15:48yep, pick yepick YIPI this is a beautiful girl. Let's go to
- 15:52Yippi. Did you do anything in the bathroom? Nothing. I was putting
- 16:00some yep bick on and then I was giving my phone, So you put
- 16:06what you put on. Whose was that it was? It was my yea
- 16:12deick it was? Did you ask anybody if you could put it on?
- 16:18I asked myself, did you see how it looked? Yeah? Well how
- 16:25do you if you could describe it, how would you describe it? You
- 16:30like? What like a noonie? Was? Like a noonie has bicklet back
- 16:37on nice moms and and he he putended it has So whose lipstick? Is
- 16:47that a mine? You bought it? Yeah? Where'd you buy that?
- 16:52My yet pick? Yeah, I'd buy it from Homie depot ah ah yeah,
- 17:02Beck Home Deeper. But you know what we're laughing, they're probably selling
- 17:07there, So I don't know. I'm there so often. You know,
- 17:11a great store and very friendly, and we like friendly, friendly is good
- 17:15customer service. I grew up in a shoe business. Either my daddy was
- 17:19nice to people or they wouldn't come into the little Tarrytown Terry shoe shop.
- 17:23Okay, So I guess you could say I'm a small time guy, even
- 17:26though I live now in Manhattan, but I grew up in that kind of
- 17:33small community, loving, caring. Just you know, it's beautiful and it
- 17:38still is. And Manhattan and New York is as well. Boy, we
- 17:41just heard that the borough president of Mark Levine. So many good things here
- 17:48going on here in New York and all the essence all over the world.
- 17:52So what's the greatest place? Caught me? I said that word. Now,
- 17:57the greatest place is where you are. That's the greatest place. Okay,
- 18:02as long as you're in a peaceful, caring, love and kind situation.
- 18:06Okay, make the most of it, because enjoy every moment. All
- 18:10right? You know who's in this show? Do you know? All right?
- 18:12You telling me? You know this is a two way communication, you
- 18:17know, vehicle medium. You can answer it back to the TV if you
- 18:22want, but I don't think I'll hear you. But you can call in
- 18:26or you will work some other ways out that we have give the address and
- 18:30so on and so forth, and we will answer everybody's questions and share everyone's
- 18:37good news. That's our mission. We want eight billion people, eight billion
- 18:41people to share their good news, their positive life, their life affirmation,
- 18:48upbeat not beat up. We relish it. We can't wait to have it.
- 18:52We can't wait to share it so we can have hope. All right,
- 18:57doctor Jane Goodall, we have peace messengers in those piece shows from the
- 19:02United Nations because it's the International Day of Piece as declared by the UN.
- 19:06One hundred and ninety three countries agreed to it. We have Leonardo DiCaprio,
- 19:11Michael Douglas, Stevie Wonder and then UNISEFS Ambassador are singing Imagine Shakira in addition
- 19:18to them today just in Today's Early morning show, and then we have more
- 19:22shows on today. Oprah Winfrey speaking about her Belief series that she did some
- 19:30years ago. I'm humbly say, Oprah's magnificent, and she goes on to
- 19:37the CBS Morning News where I'm a Normalae started in seventy two. As I
- 19:42mentioned earlier, Gail King and some other wonderful people there and everybody. Ah,
- 19:48television is such a great medium and we can learn so much about it.
- 19:52So who else do we have on the show? We have? How
- 19:56about Kurt Douglas, okay your memory of where he speaks nicely about Michael Douglas
- 20:02and along with Catherine Zeta Jones, and there just seems to be this gentleman
- 20:06named Danny DeVito with them. Danny DeVito is the roommate to Michael Douglas and
- 20:10he only has the nicest things to say. Neil de grasse Tyson, who's
- 20:15right here up on the corner at the Museum of Natural History, and he's
- 20:21gonna discuss planetary commentary. He isn't gonna discuss Pluto. He's gonna discuss his
- 20:26family and what is good news for them. And so Dick deep Parttola is
- 20:32writer for Mad magazine for a long time. I'll be honest. I always
- 20:34said, if you can understand Bad magazine, you could understand everything. And
- 20:38Dick also does something for Jiz Whiz, Nick Sagan, Carl Sagan's son's gonna
- 20:47do something on video games. Now everything that we do is about see.
- 20:51I don't want any bang bang hit him in the head video games. We
- 20:56don't need it, you know, or whatever we need it, we don't
- 21:00need it. I'm not going to judge. I just know that I would
- 21:03prefer an easier kind of loving, more caring approach, especially with media.
- 21:11Surely with media, media is very powerful. People actually believe sometimes maybe all
- 21:17the time, what they watch or what they read. So you still need
- 21:21your own heart, Santa Zupier said in The Little Prince, follow your own
- 21:25heart. Okay, that's the most important thing. And I'll be honest with
- 21:29you, if I didn't get a master's degree, I wouldn't know it.
- 21:30I got it undergraduate WIPIAK and graduated at Fairfield, and I would say there
- 21:37that I learned that, you know, media is what the just like me,
- 21:45I have an impression of what I want to do for good News,
- 21:47for this founding of this company. Someone has it for the New York Times,
- 21:51someone has it for CBS. Somebody has a movie idea. These are
- 21:53all our interpretation of what we want to share with the world, okay,
- 21:57But the most important thing is what's important to you, okay, So so
- 22:03think on that. Okay, all right? We have I think I said
- 22:07Ray Romano earlier and the Rose O'Donnell might as well sell him again because I
- 22:11tell you the funny bits. And then some young social media superstars on TikTok
- 22:19and so on and so forth, McKenzie and Reef, and we have Chucky
- 22:23Armstrong speaking about about peace, what does peace mean to them? And then
- 22:30we have Claire Dab share some yoga with us. Claire's has been with the
- 22:37Deep Ba Chopra for many years and on our own and doing wonderful things.
- 22:41And she's my yoga instructor and then a y young a why is magnificent.
- 22:48He's youth leader for the United Nations the SDGs, the Sustainable Development Goals,
- 22:56of which there are seventeen of them. We're champion. He has a battery
- 23:00tour in Project seventeen. We did that last show Solar on Solar Batteries,
- 23:04okay, and in Times Square, and so that's very special. So you
- 23:10would think that in addition to Times Square, we have our Good News Broadcast,
- 23:14where we have sixty five hundred shows, so we are getting asked to
- 23:18do so much content. We have all these pr agencies asking US, corporations
- 23:22asking us, individuals asking us. And that's good news because we're happy to
- 23:27share their good news and we're happy for you to put your good news on
- 23:32our good news. So we'll talk more about those things in the future.
- 23:37Other positive media, we do a nice tribute to Florence Henderson Carol Brady from
- 23:45The Brady Bunch, the mom of the Brady's, and Florence Henderson is just
- 23:51the superstar now. We interviewed her many many years ago, and she's a
- 23:56classic good news. A story talks about family sticking together, especially at the
- 24:03dinner table. Okay, just talking about food. We like food. I've
- 24:06got a lot of stories about food. And so she mentions how important that
- 24:11meal, that family meal, that opportunity to sit down and talk with each
- 24:17other about the day. She's a believer in that. Okay. In the
- 24:21Brady Bunch, you know, that was a show that shared family values and
- 24:26so on. However, we have these phones, we have the televisions and
- 24:32things. Try our best to stick together, at least for an hour day
- 24:37in the family setting. Maybe we'll learn about what everybody's doing. Okay,
- 24:41that's the young learning about the old, and the old learning about the young.
- 24:45Okay, and the older and the younger and so on and so forth.
- 24:48We're one family. We are all in this together. That's the key
- 24:52here, all right. And talking about the key, Adam Sandler, of
- 24:55course, got segue into Adam Sandler. I love it Adam Sandler. He's
- 25:00one funny dude. And I love his movies. He sticks with his buddies
- 25:03in those movies. And he just got the Mark Twain Prize, which is
- 25:08a is a great recognition for for a gentleman like him or anybody prior to
- 25:15that. And and well we'll show a little bit of his acceptance, his
- 25:19humble acceptance speech, and his love for his mom and family and friends.
- 25:25I'm very honored to be able to share that with you. And then we'll
- 25:29just throw a little happy go more in the airport for some fun, and
- 25:33let's see Bob Barker take on Adam. I mean, come on, the
- 25:38host of Prices right when I did it? All right, he straightens out
- 25:42at him, and he deserved it. There's no no, it is what
- 25:48it is. Golf is a tough sport. I don't know if you play
- 25:49golf. I don't play it to him. I was a caddie, but
- 25:52I don't have good eyesight. I'd have to tell them to They'd have to
- 25:56find their ball. Okay, I'm a character, all right in any case.
- 26:00Woodstock Forever, Yeah, talking about characters. So Richie Havens came over
- 26:07to our Times Square studios where we were and said, let's do a celebration.
- 26:14Actually came over with you. Beverly Hill was working for me. That
- 26:19was her name, and I loved her. And Richie said, let's do
- 26:23a celebration for the Woodstock the twentieth anniversary. This was nineteen eighty nine.
- 26:29It's a long time ago, and I said, well, you know,
- 26:33I will try to make something happen. I got the permission of the Great
- 26:38Lawn, that Great Lawn here in the Central Park and PBS because I after
- 26:44CBS went to PBS channel thirteen and I had some nice relations there and they
- 26:48said, yeah, I we'll take it live, okay, And so that
- 26:51was exciting. However, I couldn't raise the money. So there's a downside.
- 26:56You know, life has its ups and downs. We're going to talk
- 26:57about our life being difficult with Scott Peck and Roadless Traveled. However, we
- 27:07ended up doing it in Times Square and we then took that content that we
- 27:12created then in eighty nine and we've filled it in to a two hour movie
- 27:18and we're going to show a little bit of that and hopefully, God willing,
- 27:22I will say, we will get that out to the world this year.
- 27:27Talking about that, that's immedia. Okay, back to our media realities.
- 27:30Let's talk about newspapers and other media types, because each one of them
- 27:36have a great opportunity to share the good in the world. And here's a
- 27:41great story. I saw this in the Wall Street Journal and then it was
- 27:44everywhere of course, also because Ruth Gutten's men gave a billion dollars to billion
- 27:52dollars to Appert Einstein Medical College. Okay, we need more doctors, we
- 27:56need more medical assists stints in this world. And she decided that her family
- 28:06wants that to have happened. That's a blessing. Okay. So there's a
- 28:11great story in newspapers, or there's tons and tons of great it's a perspective
- 28:15of life. It's a positive perspective. You think positively, act positively.
- 28:22The next was authors Scott Peck. You'll talk about life is difficult, but
- 28:26talking about it. My mother's a librarian, okay. So, and she
- 28:30gave me Reverend Norman Vincent Peale's book The Power Positive Thinking when she was a
- 28:33librarian a temple Emmanuel here. And I love my mom and it's very open
- 28:40minded okay. And and I'm an interfaith minister. Also all faiths and spiritual
- 28:45and or no faith, whatever you want to believe. Yiddish we say zegoes,
- 28:51which means calling good health. Health is the wealth. Okay. And
- 28:53we do tons of stories about health, stories that will save your life if
- 28:59you buy our need the knowledge all about knowledge on how to live longer and
- 29:06live smarter and act smarter. Let's talk about poets. We have this group,
- 29:11the Heroes Project, and they have a great film festival and then they
- 29:17have a great organization and they've been doing it longer than Good News since nineteen
- 29:22ninety five, wow, and doing it really really well, getting young people
- 29:27to use media for the good and it's marvelous. So they've shared with us
- 29:33a a Maya Angelo Still I Rise poetry with a video that goes along with
- 29:42it that is so powerful that I'm so honored. Producers of that movie.
- 29:49My hat's my hat's off to you, and I thank you for sharing that
- 29:56with us. We have Taddy who drew our logos you'll see later on Pause
- 30:00the World for Piece. He is just so talented. And then music is
- 30:06my thing to a big degree because I'm a sax piano dude, and I'll
- 30:11be doing some concerts. But I am not like the people. These people,
- 30:15I'm okay, but and I'm happy to win it. But Simon and
- 30:19garfog okay singing a song called Sparrow, a sweet, sweet song, the
- 30:26environmental song. I will call it mother Earth song. And then we've been
- 30:30very lucky to have Georgia Fumanty. She's going to sing. Love is a
- 30:33many splendid thing. Georgia is such a great human, a great citizen.
- 30:37Her family is beautiful, and we'll talk about that, okay, And it's
- 30:44a beautiful thing. Family's adopted some children and just there's do gooders. Okay,
- 30:49I believe adoption is a beautiful thing. All right. By four,
- 30:55then we have Michael Jackson. Okay, here the world. But we've been
- 31:00fortunate and we have some producers. Genie Ye has helped us and in China,
- 31:06and we have relationships all over the world because we did multicultural marketing and
- 31:10advertising for since nineteen eighty five and we've worked on over two hundreds at the
- 31:18communities bringing them spread I DMA, seeing big clients both of the services,
- 31:22so on and so forth, and so we have a lot of relationships,
- 31:26and which is good because the good news is in everywhere in the world and
- 31:29we'll be getting it from from the media of the world and the people of
- 31:32the world. So that's a beautiful thing. So we have a w Jackson
- 31:37singing. We would put that in our Pace day show. Who's a performance
- 31:44artist for Michael Jackson and we have him singing Heal the World in China on
- 31:49the Great Wall and then other locations in China, so that's a good thing.
- 31:53And we have Charles Sullivan who did that Heal the World worldwide campaign.
- 31:59They have him on the stage Jesse Colin Young singing, come on people,
- 32:04let's get together and we're gonna finish off well that Shakira is going to sing.
- 32:08No, We've got some little animation with an imagine. And I know
- 32:13I'm saying a lot because this portion is about almost four hours. Louis Armstrong,
- 32:17I hope I didn't put you to sleep. Wake up please? Okay,
- 32:24all right, this is also our podcast Louis Armstrong. Okay. Louis
- 32:30first talks about the importance of there's war and there's some problems in the world,
- 32:44but you need to think positively and you're going to work these things out
- 32:45and hopefully you work all these things out quickly. And Louis says it better
- 32:50than I. So you need to listen to Louis Armstrong and then he sings,
- 32:53what a wonderful world boy. Corporations, I'm gonna get it all in
- 33:00here because we need to. Corporations are very, very important. There's what
- 33:06they call CSR corporate social responsibility, and we'll be sharing some corporations that are
- 33:13doing that, and Deloitte and General Motors and BNP of Us and Virgin Hotels
- 33:22and so many others. Almost all corporations are doing some good corporate citizenship CSR
- 33:29corporate social responsibility. And the latest topic out there is called ESG Environmental Social
- 33:36governance. And there's many of them, some of those that I just mentioned,
- 33:40all of them that I mentioned, and so many more. Because mother
- 33:45Earth, which is a big, big, big, big beautiful loving place,
- 33:51needs help. Climate concerns are serious and there's nothing that we should be
- 33:58fooling around with that, all right. So we have been involved with the
- 34:04subject of water for over twenty years. Buddy Phil Sower's helped create the World
- 34:10Water Day, and Pete Seeger and has been part of our shows for years.
- 34:15We have a show Water Hour. Water is sustainability. Water is the
- 34:21sustenance of life. No water. We are in trouble, no clean water,
- 34:24and there's a lot of water out there. Right, Let's figure out
- 34:28ways, and we're going to present the ways that people are taking the water
- 34:31out of those beautiful clouds where they get too big, they get heavy,
- 34:37and they bring down water, and they're too cold, they bring down snow.
- 34:39Okay, and every time it rains, as long as it doesn't rain
- 34:44too much and you're prepared for it, it's good news. So in the
- 34:50nonprofits, there are so many, there's like going ten thousand nonprofits in America.
- 34:53It's such a beautiful thing. Every one of them are doing good,
- 34:57and we'll talk about some of them as well. Basically, I'm stressed from
- 35:00so much good news, and our team is as well, because it's a
- 35:05good thing. Well, I kind of think that I got a lot out
- 35:07right now. So as a result, let's go to Claire the ab and
- 35:13take a moment to peace out, cool, calm down, your heart beating
- 35:24silently saying I am strong, I am healthy, I am strong, I
- 35:31am healthy because what you think you create, what you think you become.
- 35:39All right, thanks Claire, I am strong, I am healthy, I
- 35:45am strong, I am healthy. And after that talk talk talk, talk,
- 35:50talk talk, I needed to take a moment of calmness. Okay,
- 35:55just as Michelle said, calmness in the in the chaos is so important,
- 36:00Claire is on that same page. Be calm, calm down. You know
- 36:07that one second is a long time, two seconds, ten seconds out,
- 36:12one thousand and one, one thousand and two, how long it is one
- 36:15thousand and three. So often we think we got to go, go,
- 36:19go, go go. You'll live longer. Don't stress out. We did
- 36:25the Brain series. I was involved with it early on in Channel thirteen,
- 36:30and I learned there, you know, the brain, adrenaline into the body,
- 36:34into the heart. Bad news. Okay, we don't want that.
- 36:37We want everybody to be calm loving. Let's call it nirvana, be kind.
- 36:43Okay. I changed our background because this is where I literally physically am
- 36:49right now in my own home, and this is the heart that we have
- 36:57used in our TV studio that we still have out there in Brooklyn. I
- 37:01believe we haven't been there because we've taken COVID on very seriously. I'm compromised
- 37:07with noan noma. I'll say it. But they Doug get out, sing
- 37:13out Sinai and doctor Bruder. That was good news, thank you, and
- 37:16but COVID was, as you all know, was a tough time. This
- 37:24picture, to me, represents the plants. The animals are Doggie Avery,
- 37:32named after a Rangers hockey player, I'll be frank with you. A hug
- 37:37a planet from a Robert Farenza, which we'll be selling along with other great
- 37:39products i'll tell you right now, and services, so pay attention because they're
- 37:46good things with good people selling them. And then our happy Face, which
- 37:52we trademark way back in ninety eight with arms and legs, so we can
- 37:54do some animation and you'll see some of our animation a little later, old
- 38:00animation, we got new animation and things, Okay. So I wanted to
- 38:05share this background because I like it, and we had the green screen studio.
- 38:14Okay, So that's it. But talking about COVID, let's do a
- 38:20shout out right now for our our hospitals and our medical workers and our pharmacists,
- 38:28and the delivery people, and the police and the firefarmers, hireators and
- 38:34the subway riders and drivers and all the people in the world. Let's say
- 38:39thank you to them all the time. I know we're paying them, some
- 38:44of them, many of them, especially public service. However, it's always
- 38:49nice to be nice, Okay. It really means a lot. And when
- 38:52you're walking down the streets say hello, okay, friendly is good and we
- 38:57like good Okay. And I'm I'm a senior citizen, all right, so
- 39:02which is a good deal. It's a good deal. You know, you
- 39:07can can ride for a you know, like half price, and we have
- 39:10other great benefits. So in senior wise, and thank God for that.
- 39:15AARP also, thank you for doing that. I don't tell us fifty word
- 39:21seniors, but the point is you do. That's okay, all right,
- 39:23you're a great organization as well. So in fact, are you doing ten
- 39:30thousand steps a day? Hey, raise your hand? Okay if you're a
- 39:37senior, now raise you raise your hand. If you know a seasons exercise,
- 39:42okay, all right, raise both hands. If you know anybody exercise
- 39:46every day. Okay. It's good for your body, and it's good for
- 39:50your brain, and it helps for peace and love for you and for all
- 39:55talking about peace and love. I want to go to Georgia. From that
- 40:00it was all about peace of love. Then she can sing, and she's
- 40:02gonna sing. Love is of any splendor thing, what a treasure? Okay,
- 40:08thanks Georgia. He's the longest thing. He's thing any birds that's only
- 40:35groll elevatorly scream lost nious ways giving reason too, will be leasy the cool
- 40:58Krawl blood man. It's a monogami. Ye the morning madst to over skis
- 41:29turned the Lost to Stay, the new Fanger stols. My silent Ti Torture
- 41:44had to say, yes, true Mosner, he's a star fa he like
- 42:15Cosa prints a moss staring baby doll in a Eludi into a poor Apo,
- 42:39he said, poor non as back quin con play seen a stables. All
- 44:17right, thanks Georgia. Oh my god, she is so good. There's
- 44:22no doubt about it. I love it. And she just is beautiful singer
- 44:25and we're so fortunate she comes down from Toronto with her whole family. I
- 44:30think I mentioned earlier on it's a great, loving, caring family, no
- 44:36doubt about her. She's adopted some children. I'll say it again. Adoption,
- 44:39I think is one of the greatest things in the world. Seems like
- 44:44hard and we have stories about that to make happen. It seems complicated here,
- 44:51I think sometimes in America, and it's one world, Okay, you
- 44:55adopt from wherever you can adopt, give a child a home, and and
- 45:01that's a beautiful thing. Foster care also, and it was a great force
- 45:06of Wendy's I think he grew up in foster care and they care about that
- 45:12and and speak about that, and we're lucky. Getting back to COVID though,
- 45:17and talking about family. There's a gentleman I believe he's in England and
- 45:23his name is Tom Foolery, and he created a video that we've used many
- 45:29times over the years regarding COVID and the times and what happened during that time.
- 45:37And he sits down with his son, who is going to sleep hopefully.
- 45:45Got to do whatever you gotta do. I'm a grandpa, yay,
- 45:49and my family I love them and all of them. So he rereads him
- 45:54a poem, Tom Foolery, let's listen to this. This is his sentiment.
- 46:00Tell me the one about the Marris Skid. Then I'll go to bed.
- 46:06But my boy, you're growing weary, sleepy thoughts about your head?
- 46:08Please? That one's my favorite, I promised. Just what's more? Okay,
- 46:15snuggle down, my boy. Though I know you know full well.
- 46:19The story starts before then, in a world I once would dwell. It
- 46:24was a world of waste and wonder, of poverty and plenty, back before
- 46:30we understood why Hindsight's twenty twenty. You see the people came up with companies
- 46:37to trade across all lands, but they swelled and got much bigger than we
- 46:40ever could have planned. We'd always had our wants, but now it got
- 46:45so quick you could have anything you dreamed of in a day. And with
- 46:51a click we noticed families had stopped talking. That's not to say they never
- 46:55spoke, but the meaning must have melted. The work life balance broke,
- 47:01and the children's eyes grew square, and every toddler had a phone. They
- 47:07filtered out the imperfections, but amidst the noise, they felt alone. And
- 47:13every day the skies grew thicker till you couldn't see the stars, so we
- 47:17flew in planes to find them, while down below we filled our cars.
- 47:22We'd drive around all day in circles we'd forgotten how to run. We swapped
- 47:28the grass for tarmac, shrunk the parks till there were none. We filled
- 47:32the sea with plastic because our waist was never capped, until each day when
- 47:37you went fishing, you'd pull them out already wrapped. And while we drank
- 47:44and smoked and gambled, our leaders taught us why it's best to not upset
- 47:50the lobbies. More convenient to die But then in twenty twenty, a new
- 47:59virus came our way. The governments reacted and told us all to hide away.
- 48:04But while we all were hidden amidst the fear, and all the while
- 48:08the people dusted off their instincts, they remembered how to smile. They started
- 48:15clapping to say thank you and calling up their mums. And while the car
- 48:20keys gathered dust, they would look forward to their runs. And with the
- 48:23skies less full of voyagers, the earth began to breathe, and the beaches
- 48:28bore new wildlife that scuttled off into the seas. Some people started dancing,
- 48:34some were singing, some were baking. We'd grown so used to bad news,
- 48:38but some good news was in the making, And so when we found
- 48:43the cure and were allowed to go outside, we all preferred the world we
- 48:47found to the one we'd left behind. Old habits became extinct, and they
- 48:53made way for the new, and every simple act of kindness was now given
- 48:59its due. Why did it take a virus to bring the people back together.
- 49:04Well, sometimes you've got to get sick, my boy, before you
- 49:07start feeling better. Now, lie down and dream of tomorrow and all the
- 49:13things that we can do, and who knows, if you dream hard enough,
- 49:16maybe some of them will come true. We now call it the great
- 49:21realization. And yes, since then there have been many, but that's the
- 49:25story of how it started and why hindsight's twenty twenty. Because if you look
- 49:36at the camera, they know Sharmon's filming. It's because they can see you
- 49:40exactly. If you look at the camera, they know someone's filming it.
- 49:43Okay, back lie back town. Wait, can I just practice right now?
- 49:46Yes, all right, Tom, thank you very much, Thank you,
- 49:55Sean Bird, and thanks for all the good that did evolve, and
- 50:01that's probably whatever good did evolve from COVID. And also, don't think COVID
- 50:07is going away entirely. These illnesses stick around, are you know, different
- 50:13kinds of covidish things and bluish things. Be careful, okay, take care,
- 50:20build your immune system, take care of yourself, you know, talking
- 50:23about real positive people. Humbly will say, because I think she's really been
- 50:30a great, a great citizen of the world. Oprah Winfrey and Oprah created
- 50:38this belief I'll Look up in the Air for Me series and with Gail King,
- 50:46and I think it's very important to to give this some thought, because
- 50:53religion is very important to people, and spirituality is very important to so many
- 50:59people, and it's a good thing. And we like to support all the
- 51:04religions of the world, and we will the best we can. Okay,
- 51:10because hey, I've got some homeless lines and feeding people, soup kitchens and
- 51:17so much more. And and just your own personal ways, that's your own
- 51:22decision. You do as you may. Everybody should have the right for freedom,
- 51:29just says Richie Hagens. Will be singing soon. Freedom, freedom,
- 51:31freedom, freedom, freedom, freedom. Okay, let's go to Oprah at
- 51:36CBS Soprah Winfrey narrates the program, spanning six continents over seven consecutive nights.
- 51:43Belief follows, arrange people, arrange people on their profound journeys. Because when
- 51:47you guys came back from the tour wells, you said to me, people
- 51:52are searching for something more. I don't know what it is, but people
- 51:54are searching for something. There's a wounded people, not a de yearning for
- 52:00And that's what belief speaks to, the yearning for something greater than yourself.
- 52:06Okay, Oprah, thank you very much. You can see that series.
- 52:10Look it up and take some time to understand all religions, and I believe
- 52:21you'll be happier and wiser, maybe even more respectful, because all the religions
- 52:27from my study in the seminary couple of years, all religions speak for love.
- 52:34Okay, they all speak. It's a matter of interpretation of how anybody
- 52:38might want to take the words in whatever book they are reading. So we
- 52:45go from And I was taught at least in this seminary, and I believe
- 52:49it that nobody wrote in these books words that weren't for the betterment of humanity.
- 52:59Okay, I'm going to stick with that. You can stick with what
- 53:01you want. I'm going to stick with that. Okay, compassion. Compassion
- 53:07is a big group. Let's go with that. In any case, good
- 53:13news. Once again, we find out there looking receive, you send it
- 53:20to us. That's you. Youth are generated. Ah, create, we
- 53:25produce. We've been producing thousands of shows, life affirming, thought provoking,
- 53:30good news, entertainment and events and products and services. As I as I
- 53:37have mentioned, I believe I did positive. The word positive. My buddy
- 53:44said, use the word positive. He's a he's like a one word man.
- 53:46Okay, we are positive. And my mother gave me the book howur
- 53:52positive Thinking, No negativity allowed? Okay, you know when I started CBS,
- 53:58tw were standards and practices and what could be accepted and what couldn't be
- 54:01accepted. And we've done a soap opera. They even had in the soap
- 54:06opera. They had somebody in the control room when the soap opera went off
- 54:09because it was live, to make sure that we did the right thing.
- 54:14Okay, we will do our utmost to do the right thing and only allow
- 54:17the right thing. We do not allow anybody to say negativity negative things about
- 54:22anybody else. Okay, public service, you're slash politician, Just say what
- 54:30you want to do. This is what I think we should do. This
- 54:32is how I think we should go about it. Okay, I don't think
- 54:37it helps. I think upbeat, not beat up is our kind of thing.
- 54:44And we are honored, I'll tell you right now. We are honored
- 54:46to share what we have done, and what we have done is what you
- 54:50have done, because these are all content from other people doing good things.
- 54:54We're a microphone. Okay. We walk around with a microphone and we have
- 54:59for years. And I'm gonna go find my microphone, which I don't hardly
- 55:02use anymore because it's just the way it is. I don't carry all that
- 55:12equipment anymore. I use the phone. So the medium has changed. And
- 55:15this phone. This is unbelievable. You can go satellite with the phone.
- 55:20Okay, I mean you used to have to have to have trucks to get
- 55:22information. We are so fortunate with communication now. The important thing is to
- 55:30use it in a good way. I'm going to move this around a little.
- 55:34This might be a mistake. Okay, it probably is. Okay,
- 55:42I'm sorry. Don't say on Mickey Mouse, please, but Mickey Mouse is
- 55:45good. Let's not underestimate Mickey Mouse. Okay. And Disney. I love
- 55:51Disney, and I love watching Disney, and I love the Nickelodeon. There
- 55:57are so many good programs. And I'll tell you I'm Pluto Network. There
- 56:01are tons, tons of good news. Okay, it's a beautiful thing.
- 56:10And I yes, I didn't mention. We will be selling products and services
- 56:15eco friendly and we have a line of clothes and shoes that other friends have
- 56:22and we're going to share them, and accessories and some services for hospitals that
- 56:28will make them more efficient, which will hopefully end up in the bottom line
- 56:34for less expense for people that have to go there as well as other businesses.
- 56:38We will grow and grow and grow and grow with that with that area.
- 56:44So let's go to mckens de Henrief Okay, McKenzie Reef for superstars and
- 56:51their mom Let's listen to them say what peace means to them? Reef,
- 56:54Harrison Kinsey Brook, Hi, how are you too? So? What's your
- 57:00good news today? What's going on here? Yeah? She sang her new
- 57:06single seventeen had an unreas song called love and Last Love. And then we
- 57:12all both performed together during a dance mash up different that we made up ourselves.
- 57:15Well that dance. I'm in show business fifty years. You guys can
- 57:20dance. You're really really super talented. And the aoreography if that's did you
- 57:27conceive it? I mean, you know you could be in the Olympics.
- 57:31Seriously, I mean you really have a beautiful, beautiful move. It's like
- 57:59I kind of just live my life no matter what. It's kind of an
- 58:01age that kind of is a message no matter how old you are, whether
- 58:05you're in your thirties, you're in your nineties, your five years gold.
- 58:09Whenever someone tells you something if you want to do it different, but don't
- 58:14do something else because someone else told you to or because you're a sister in
- 58:16age. So that was what what inspired seventeen. And then Love is Love.
- 58:22That was kind of a collaboration between me and Rap and it's kind of
- 58:28just like about loving everyone and being who you are. And then look at
- 58:31our routinet you want to talk about our repeat, You're just made a quite
- 58:37pretty much to our like our favorite songs really are. It's not like our
- 58:40favorites, So I still like the actual Yeah, I've always enjoyed though about
- 58:45sex. Yeah, we always love those. We do a concert right here
- 59:10for the International Day of Peace. I've been doing it twenty years in Central
- 59:15Park in here, and then we have something in the evening as well.
- 59:19On the twenties the International Day, one hundred and ninety three countries agree to
- 59:22a day of peace. And I've asked thousands of people, what's peace for
- 59:25you? What makes peace for you? At peace meets me just like bringing
- 59:30everyone together, like no one likes savage other on the back of everyone.
- 59:32Just like being like a good friend in a way, and like just being
- 59:37there for each other, you know, and like respecting. You want to
- 59:39let everyone another respect what people do, like, don't judge. I like
- 59:43when people look what people do, like like don't do the Book of Botes
- 59:46cover. That's that's a good good send probably just like that, just like
- 59:51bring peace, y'all can be family and just kind of coming together and support
- 59:55I wanted down there. I mean, uh, how are you that's right?
- 1:00:00How are you tell us what it feels like to have such talented young
- 1:00:07in your home? In your house? What does that feel like? Some
- 1:00:13days it's crazy, But honestly, I am such a blessed mom to really
- 1:00:20just be able to be a part of my daughter and my son's life,
- 1:00:23to be part of the journey and help them sorry I'm kind of short,
- 1:00:32and help them in this incredible place we call life. And I'm so grateful
- 1:00:39for Reverend Paul the Good News Corporation UNIFI dot org. Really, I mean,
- 1:00:46if you understood how this all came together in like what forty eight hours
- 1:00:51and he literally said, I'm gonna get your kids here, and he did.
- 1:00:55I mean, this gentleman right here probably could run circles around some of
- 1:01:00us. I know he ran circles around me because he gave me a call
- 1:01:02and he said, you're locked, you're loaded, get ready to roll.
- 1:01:07And I was so proud of myself that I packed so quickly, got to
- 1:01:10the airport on time and really have my children here along with Max, who's
- 1:01:16like my other child, and really to be a part of the international world
- 1:01:22peace, which I feel in my heart and it's really part of who we
- 1:01:24are. When my children were little, little little, because I know there's
- 1:01:30a lot of moms and dads out there, I know it's important to raise
- 1:01:32our kids about the ABC's. I raised them about the abns, Always be
- 1:01:37nice, abk's, always be kind, because those are lessons that you want
- 1:01:43to share with your children from a really young age. It's our responsibility to
- 1:01:47make a difference and help them make a difference because there are future. They
- 1:01:52are future. So thank you, Thank you, Reverend Paul, Thank you
- 1:01:57so much for being here. We really appreciate it. Thanks McKenzie and Reef
- 1:02:00and Adrian. You're all about family. Our message during the entire channel on
- 1:02:09Pluto will be all about family, friends and being nice and kind to each
- 1:02:14other. So you know we now we're switching to a different environment. Okay,
- 1:02:22we're switching to our postive world for peace, even though we've been doing
- 1:02:25some content in that regard, and Taddy created that beautiful logo for us,
- 1:02:34and Maury Strong, who was a gentleman who was the consultant to Trudeau,
- 1:02:39Prime minister in Canada, and healfionnon I wanted to say, stop the world.
- 1:02:45I want to stay on, because there was a song called stop the
- 1:02:47World. I want to get off. I want to get off. I
- 1:02:51want to stay on. If I get off and we'll be flying away in
- 1:02:53outer space. Okay, Neil de Gross could tell us that shortly. So
- 1:03:00we want to stay on and that's what we plan to do. And we
- 1:03:02want to stay on in a nice way. So with that reality of staying
- 1:03:08on, I want you to really mark your calendar. September twenty one is
- 1:03:14the International Day of Peace, twelve noon. We want to get the entire
- 1:03:20world to pause the world. He said, stop is dramatic, and it
- 1:03:23is dramatic, but we don't want to stop. We just want to pause.
- 1:03:27Okay. It's a good thing. And we're lucky and we've had great
- 1:03:34teachers, Pete Seeger and Phil Sours and the Parents for Peace, and we've
- 1:03:42been doing this for so long. And here's a picture with the Paris for
- 1:03:45Peace first Leshid Gloria, who's the Paris for Peace lady? And then let's
- 1:03:51go to a picture with me. What the heck with the peace bowl is
- 1:03:55what I want you to see? The peace prevail on the earth, and
- 1:04:01that peace pole is in two hundred and fifty thousand locations. If you want
- 1:04:05to get a peace pole, let me know. Okay, because we do
- 1:04:10a whole peace ceremony, or they do they have done over the years with
- 1:04:14all the countries and say may peace prevail in America, and then everybody goes,
- 1:04:19may peace prevail in America. Okay, and this is what we want.
- 1:04:24All right. Let's go to one of our hosts, Bitsandas, who
- 1:04:30lived in Young Young Khyk in Puerto Rico for a long time. He's a
- 1:04:34great artist. He created the water hour artwork. And Vid is very talented
- 1:04:44guy. He can do so many things. And I asked him, I
- 1:04:45said, come on, Vid, just to say welcome doctor Jane. Goodall,
- 1:04:50okay, you've been with us and helping us and volunteering for us for
- 1:04:55so long. So Vid finally said yes, and I'm happy he did.
- 1:05:00All right, go ahead. I mean, this has been an amazing experience
- 1:05:04with you. No one says peace better than doctor Jane Goodall. I think
- 1:05:15nature is my symbolism for peace, and now this tree stands as a as
- 1:05:23a symbol of what nature and us can do together the heal the world.
- 1:05:29But we've got to work much harder and we must respect each other, no
- 1:05:33matter what country, religion, or culture. But we must respect the natural
- 1:05:38world. Unless we can interact better with the natural world in more harmony,
- 1:05:45world peace will be impossible because if you lose water, if the climate changes,
- 1:05:49if the whole world is polluted, how can there be peace between men?
- 1:05:56Okay, thank you Vid all Right, doctor j good We did shows
- 1:06:01with you a long long time ago, and our friends are all friends with
- 1:06:04you and Marion Williamson and Rick Halfick and and your organization Roots and Shoots,
- 1:06:14And you couldn't say it any better. We need to hug and love and
- 1:06:23love our mother Earth and our planet. Talking about sustainability, let's go to

- 1:06:38Y Young to Share and inspirational Solar Battery Tour Program and Project seventeen. He's
- 1:06:44involved with a lot of things, and he and his whole group came down
- 1:06:46to Times Square. Let's show a bit of that. He's got great energy.

- 1:09:12best, Oh my, out my best so met oh my. I'm gonna
- 1:09:31say some words all the way from God here. How you are feeling this
- 1:09:35afternoon, Well, I'm just gonna give a few just a short talk about
- 1:09:45the importance of all of us being here. You know, we are at
- 1:09:49a pivotal time when it comes to our planet, our home, our Earth,
- 1:09:56and for me being here, it's about igniting the responsibility of everybody because
- 1:10:03this earth is our only home. This planet is our only home. There's
- 1:10:10no Plan B, no backup planet. Keep hope alive, everybody. Pea
- 1:10:15said love, thank you. Keep your phone if you want, you can
- 1:10:27snap you want just the guy time, no sash only right now's your girl?

- 1:11:03nag rhyme, maybe we can fall in love. All right, thanks a
- 1:11:19Y and team and group and wonderful uh participation, great corporate participation. Uh
- 1:11:29there with a Y with General Motors. Actually we had a hummer there and
- 1:11:32electric uh uh b MP Parabise Bank. You know they put in a lot
- 1:11:39of trees in New York. Okay, lots of them. I'll say,
- 1:11:43all the boroughs here now in New York are gonna put a million tree more
- 1:11:45trees into into New York City. I'll give a shout out to to Mayor
- 1:11:53Adams who's as a whole new environmental outreach for the city and sustain inability,
- 1:12:00as well as each one of the Burroughs. I just heard Burrough President Mark
- 1:12:05Levine talk about New York and about lanes for bicycles and taking care of the
- 1:12:13water away since we are an island here in Manhattan, lots of indoor and
- 1:12:18outdoor quality of the air, climate concerns. Okay. And then I mentioned
- 1:12:25earlier, so we have other companies that have been participating. We have I'd
- 1:12:33like to show this Deloitte video right now. Okay, let's do that.
- 1:13:00H all right, thank you delight, uh uh. Truly a sustainable consultant
- 1:13:56I'll call you UH for ESG Environmental Social and we talked about corporate social responsibility
- 1:14:02CSR. Okay, and let's take a moment here to hear about Virgin Hotels
- 1:14:08and all the good things that they do. And mister Branson is a great
- 1:14:14example of sustainability in all the work that he does, so that's off to
- 1:14:20him. So let's hear a little bit from Virgin that Virgin Hotels and the
- 1:14:27Virgin Organization, through their leadership of Richard Branson, couldn't be any more considerate
- 1:14:36of our fellow brothers and sisters on Mother Earth. He goes way back.
- 1:14:44This is not new. I think he had something to do with music.
- 1:14:46He had something to do with rolling stones. He has grown, and he
- 1:14:51has grown with the mindset of being there for others. He if you look
- 1:14:58him up and that Virgin co Opera and you look at all the charitable donations
- 1:15:02we started off with charity Water here he helps them. He haves so many.
- 1:15:08And now in here in New York, one gorgeous sustainable hotel has arisen.
- 1:15:16It's a magnificent building. The ownership are our friends and we're honored to
- 1:15:24have their director of Sales, Melissa Brown here with us to share what's happening
- 1:15:31at the Virgin Hotels, New York City. Thank you, Melissa, Thank
- 1:15:35you, and hello New York City. What a gorgeous day. We must
- 1:15:42thank Mother Nature. I'm Mother Earth for giving us a beautiful day here.
- 1:15:47Yes, I'm Melissa Brown. I'm the director of Sales and Marketing at the
- 1:15:49new Virgin Hotel, New York City. And at Virgin Hotels, meeting the
- 1:15:58needs of the present without compromising future generations is our guiding principle for every decision
- 1:16:04that we make, and when we decided to make eco friendly hotels, our
- 1:16:11conscious is clean and green. Our aspirational goals to be carbon net zero carbon
- 1:16:18and net zero waste is of primary concern, and we and a goal for
- 1:16:26twenty thirty five. At the Virgin Hotel, New York City. We have
- 1:16:30just right down here in Nomad, right down Broadway. We have four hundred
- 1:16:34and sixty rooms and we're proud to say leads certified by that. We have
- 1:16:42smart thermostats, we have lighting controls, we have occupancy sensors in the room,
- 1:16:48so when a guest leaves the room and goes down to one of the
- 1:16:50beautiful terraces, and has a cocktail looking at the views, we're actually saving
- 1:16:56energy. Our mantra is People, Planet and Partners and with that we have
- 1:17:04partnered with One Tree Planted and that is a nonprofit based out of Vermont and
- 1:17:15they're supporting the supporting the rainforest the rainforest by reinforcitation. With every reservation at
- 1:17:27Virgin Hotels between now and May twenty third, we will plant a tree.
- 1:17:32And being a mom of an eight year old, it's of utmost sense of
- 1:17:38urgency that we do that we do good. And as he said, our
- 1:17:43founder, Richard Branson has created a strong foundation for us to do good.
- 1:17:50He has created he brilliant minds around him and they are doing the change for
- 1:17:59good I from. He firmly believes that I do as well, that we
- 1:18:06could change future generations. It takes self awareness and then action. We know
- 1:18:15we can do this and we know it's game time. So let's go out
- 1:18:18there and do it. So thank you very much for Virgin and Virgin Hotel.
- 1:18:27What's the question? What what? What is the actual address? It's
- 1:18:30all on thirty the thirtieth and Broadway. Thirtieth and Broadway. I suggest you
- 1:18:36all the building is magnetic the building when I did I did a video with
- 1:18:41it at the opening. It almost looks like a Rubik's cube. It's a
- 1:18:47it's a magnificent structure, and it's the views are spectacular. The view the
- 1:18:54viewer's from the thirty eighth floor. I was up at it's it's it's mind
- 1:18:58boggling. It's such a beauty view. And to know that it's such a
- 1:19:01sustainable hotel in every aspect. I interviewed a bunch of people. They're all
- 1:19:08telling me, you know, it's off the charts now. I'd just like
- 1:19:12to add, because you have a great James Birmingham. You have great people
- 1:19:15working in that company. Mister lamb Uh. You know, I'm Richard.
- 1:19:20It's a great team. I'm very happy with this place. You also have
- 1:19:25hotels and other places in the country. We do, yeah, you know
- 1:19:29where those aren't budgets Las Vegas, Chicago, Nashville, New Orleans, Edinburgh
- 1:19:33and Glasgow. And I believe, in addition to it, because I think
- 1:19:39ninety percent of people here from other places, not from New York. I
- 1:19:43believe you have this this little boat, and you put people on this little
- 1:19:46boat and I think a ship or a yeah, Cruises voyages. Yeah,
- 1:19:53that's it. That's it. That look, I want to go there,
- 1:19:56all right, and I'm sure that's sustainable as well. Absolutely, that's the
- 1:20:00mantra of the company that Richard Branson's monster. All right, Melissa, thank
- 1:20:04you for coming over. Really appreciate it. Check out the Vergin, check
- 1:20:09it out thirtieth and Broadway. Okay, how lucky we are to have been
- 1:20:15invited to the Lincoln Center. What a nice, beautiful, loving, caring
- 1:20:20place. Okay, you can hear the Philharmonic, you could see opera,
- 1:20:24you can see ballet, and we will be sharing a lot of the those
- 1:20:28arts as well with you. But this was a film event, and Kurt
- 1:20:34Douglas come on Spartacus, so many other roles, but look at that appreciation
- 1:20:41he has for his son, Michael Douglass. That's a touching stuff. And
- 1:20:47Catherine Zeeda Jones and the good things that she does, and the roommate Danny
- 1:20:51Dovido, who we who were all crazy about. So we're just so lucky
- 1:20:59to have that. These nonprofit organizations, you know, really speak out out
- 1:21:03in the world and talking about you know, corporate social responsibility and helping nonprofits.
- 1:21:10Here's here's a segment where the Sam Waxman Research Foundation organization, which we've
- 1:21:17been covering for years, and we will share a lot of that because they've
- 1:21:21raised a lot of money to give to researchers to study cancer, this unfortunate
- 1:21:29disease that we still haven't fully worked out and fixed. Here, Hugobos is
- 1:21:39having an event at their location and we're happy to share that with you.
- 1:21:45Hi, my name is Chris Breslin. I'm so excited to share some of
- 1:21:48my favorite actors who have had personal social responsibility in their DNA forever. They
- 1:21:55are one of America's most blood families and a great friend of the family.
- 1:22:00Having family and friends is good news to a tremendous amount of philanthropic work.
- 1:22:05Where where does that come from? In both of your souls? Well,
- 1:22:10in mind, I think a lot just watching my father and my mother.
- 1:22:14I think it's something that you learn about what your responsibilities are. Particularly also
- 1:22:18even to our own industry we're cloud motion picture and television fun but I think
- 1:22:24it has a lot to do with how they conducted themselves. And for me,
- 1:22:27it's just, you know, I'm so fortunate in my life. You
- 1:22:30have to give back, you have to give back because you're just so blessed
- 1:22:35that there were so many other people who are not so blessed and they need
- 1:22:39your support. Cath has become you been almost like a spokesperson for a country,
- 1:22:43for Wales, you know, and as it's very nice to have you
- 1:22:46back. We're just about to finish the last phase of the children's hospital in
- 1:22:51Wales, which is Wales that didn't have it in all of Europe, didn't
- 1:22:56have a designated children's hospital. So I do that, but also put the
- 1:23:00Motion Picture and Television fund and we do our best. We can't endure your
- 1:23:02relationship with we we we we good friends. We don't ask anything of each
- 1:23:08other. We just do for each other and we're always there. Uh.
- 1:23:13And it's a solid it's been a solid friendship. And I'm you know,
- 1:23:18I don't know exactly what it is. I can't put my finger on it,
- 1:23:21but we've been, uh, we've been close for so many years and
- 1:23:26you know, we talk all the time. We have a lot of you
- 1:23:30know, like things in common in terms of the you know, in the
- 1:23:33movies. But you know, I don't play golf, that's the only thing.
- 1:23:36But he does really good with the laundry he folds closed really well.
- 1:23:41Yeah, so yeah, you've acted with him, you've directed him, which
- 1:23:46is your favorite? Well, I mean, I mean I love, uh,
- 1:23:50you know, acting with him, and it's like really a lot of
- 1:23:53fun and we don't get a chance to do as much as we'd like.
- 1:23:56I would like that more. That's really good. I'm looking for something to
- 1:24:00do, and you know, I just got to find something to sink my
- 1:24:03teeth into. Thank you, thank you. I'm glad that's the smood.
- 1:24:09She's one of my favorite movies. And U right, well, we we're
- 1:24:13trying to find other things that are you know, as edgy and far out,
- 1:24:16you know. Right now it's Sonny all the way and so it's always
- 1:24:20sunning in Philadelphia. You've gotten quite a few of these tribute awards. How
- 1:24:26do you make sure it doesn't go to your head? I never sort of
- 1:24:32listen, you have my son, my son, I never have the award
- 1:24:41go to a head job and maybe you do a good job and people like
- 1:24:47it. You said, hi, i' what's saying Watxman, the founder of
- 1:24:54this wonderful organization that's done so well for so many people for so long.
- 1:24:58Congratulations, Thank you tell us about tonight good Night's special. It's special in
- 1:25:03that we are raising so much money for the research program. We're going to
- 1:25:11get a message across to everyone here that would make you probos. There's good
- 1:25:15news about looking forward to be able to deal with this group of diseases.
- 1:25:20A lot of the science that's coming in, and we're also going to talk
- 1:25:25about about the problem of aging as a cause of cancer, which is causing
- 1:25:30the incidents to go out, and I'm gonna say what the Foundation is doing
- 1:25:34about it. So I'm very excited about this. I'mptimistic and great. Hi,
- 1:25:41your fantastics and congratulations Chris. You want to say something, of course,
- 1:25:45I do. Great to see you, first of all. Second of
- 1:25:46all, another great turnout for doctor Waxman. Huh and summertime. We love
- 1:25:50the event. We love the hemp is happening with this gallon every year.
- 1:25:54Wait till you see the full dining group. But with a thousand people.
- 1:25:57This thing is sold out INVA cocktail party I saw first time ever. That's
- 1:26:03you're Chris. I take no credit, but thank you. All right,
- 1:26:08great guy, Thanks Chris, good thing. Hello again, all you good
- 1:26:12News fans. In addition to Michael Douglas and Ringo Starr. Let's hear from
- 1:26:17other U N. Peace messengers of the United Nations share his thoughts about peace.
- 1:26:24Leonardo DiCaprio, The word piece has many possible meanings, and the Messenger
- 1:26:31of Peace program has been vital to addressing some of the most pressing challenges of
- 1:26:36our time head on poverty, disease, human suffering issues which defy the very
- 1:26:44concept of peace. All right, thanks, thanks everybody, Chris and Michael,
- 1:26:50and Kirk Douglas, Catherine Zeta Jones one more time, and Danny DeVito
- 1:26:56for for sharing with us the Sam Waxman Organization, Hugo Boss. And we're
- 1:27:03going to now show two pieces that are we've shown many a time as well
- 1:27:10about going into schools and helping their David Lynch Foundation, a great director of
- 1:27:16film, and the Harlem Glove Drivers. I love great ball players, but
- 1:27:21great concerned citizens as well. All right, let's go to that idiot.
- 1:27:32You know, I remember when I first heard that some little kid, you
- 1:27:36know, brings a gun into school, and then you start hearing all these
- 1:27:42problems. I have a school where there's been twenty four murders since January one.
- 1:27:47In my neighborhood. I have kids suffering from post traumatic stress and children
- 1:27:54kids have so much on their plate this day in time, I can't concentrate.
- 1:28:00I get overly frustrated sometimes kind of angry all the time. And then
- 1:28:16they introduce this technique where the student can dive within and enliven that inner happiness,
- 1:28:24inner intelligence, inner creativity, and love, and they see the problems
- 1:28:30start evaporating. Well, it's important because you know, we're targeting the kids,
- 1:28:38and we want the kids to be successful in their life, and we
- 1:28:40want them to be the ones that also come into our games and with the
- 1:28:43smiles on their faces, and you know, we just want to be that
- 1:28:45positive influence of coming out here and showing them that there's somebody that cares.
- 1:28:48So you know, that's why it's important for us to teach these character traits.
- 1:28:51When we come in and do our cheer program and things like that,
- 1:28:54well, it's the self esteem program. The cheer program ties into a lot
- 1:28:59a lot of the things that we do here at Jefferson with our core values
- 1:29:01and our anti bullying program. When kids learn about self esteem, it helps
- 1:29:08them throughout the day in their lives. All right, thank you very much.
- 1:29:12David Lynch important work and Harlem Globetrotters great work, magnificent. You know.
- 1:29:18Let me get a little hint here with the arm Glow Tritter. I
- 1:29:20took my family there right before the games. They have a session where they
- 1:29:25think you can get down to the field if you pay a little. I
- 1:29:28don't know what you've got to do, but it's a good thing if you're
- 1:29:30able to get it to happen. Okay, because the Harlem Globe Trotters have
- 1:29:34been such an institution here in America for so many years and worldwide, but
- 1:29:41a great group, and David Lynch sure knows how to make a movie,
- 1:29:44no doubt about it. We're gonna talk about health and wellness. We take
- 1:29:46health and wellness quite seriously, and we also take it not so we take
- 1:29:54it always seriously, but we try to be calm and cool and easy about
- 1:30:02it because it's serious and by not being calm, cool and collected, as
- 1:30:10they say, that's not healthy. So we've done hundreds and hundreds and hundreds
- 1:30:15and hundreds of shows on health and wellness. All the farmer companies come to
- 1:30:19the hospitals come to us and nurses and every chance we get about thirty to
- 1:30:27forty percent of all our shows is health and wellness. Okay, and so
- 1:30:32I'm going to share just one of the interviews that I did with Bristol Meyers
- 1:30:38squibbm S on an undiagnosed health heart concern. Okay, because pharma and my
- 1:30:49hats go out to pharma do a tremendous amount of research. Talking about research,
- 1:30:57you'll hear from Stephan in this interview, who's very brave to come out
- 1:31:05and talk about her having this concern, this part concern, and you have
- 1:31:11a great doctor William Crowder as well speaking about it. So just and think
- 1:31:17of all the people that do these trials. Okay, they don't know if
- 1:31:20it's going to work or if it's gonna hurt. Our hat's got to go
- 1:31:26off to them. So let's think about the goodness that's out there in the
- 1:31:30world, people helping others. So let's listen to this, to this interview,
- 1:31:38and then we're just going to have one more story and then we're going
- 1:31:42to go into good News to go here here have our program. Okay,
- 1:31:46thank you. Let's go to the BMS story. Okay, Hi, this
- 1:31:53is Paul Slackkis. We're going to talk about a serious health concern that people
- 1:32:00can be wiser and smarter about. And it's a lifestyle as well as medically
- 1:32:09maybe hereditary. I don't know. We're gonna learn raising awareness of an often
- 1:32:14I undiagnosed heart disease during the heart month of February. And we have a
- 1:32:20patient actually and a doctor, so we're very lucky here. We'll start with
- 1:32:24the patient who's very brave. I believe you're a patient, Stephanie, You're
- 1:32:31very brave, and thank you very much for coming out and speaking with us.
- 1:32:34And doctor William Crowder as a board certified cardiologist and Jackson Hart and he
- 1:32:44knows how to treat HCM. What is HCM? Doctor, So EIGHTCM is
- 1:32:51a condition where the heart muscle becomes thick. The thick heart muscle occurs the
- 1:33:00area inside the left ventricle where blood is trying to get ejected to the body,
- 1:33:05and so that thick heart muscle can can cause an obstruction to that blood
- 1:33:11flow. You know, traditionally we think of heart failure as being a weak
- 1:33:16heart muscle, but in this case the muscle is strong and thick and actually
- 1:33:20is causing the problem. And so when that pressure builds up and you have
- 1:33:27fluid that can build up in your lungs. Then you have those symptoms of
- 1:33:31shortness of breath, exertional intolerance, chest pain and pressure, heart racing.
- 1:33:40All of these things can lead to even passing out spells or syncathy. All
- 1:33:45of those can be associated with this condition. And how does this occur or
- 1:33:49is this hereditary? As I mentioned, how does somebody you know have this
- 1:33:56unfortunate situation happen to them? Sure? So you know? So the prevalence
- 1:34:00is about one in four hundred to five hundred individuals. The calls of it
- 1:34:08can be varied most of the time. We can find a genetic component to
- 1:34:13this, so there is that hereditary component to the condition. The other thing
- 1:34:19that's tricky is that the condition can really develop any time after puberty. Your
- 1:34:28growing patients that are have family members that have this particular disease process need to
- 1:34:36be screened throughout their life because it can sneak up on us. Uh huh,
- 1:34:43Stephanie, did this sneak up upon you? It sure did, Thanks
- 1:34:48Paul. We're really happy to be here partnering with BMS to raise awareness about
- 1:34:54this disease. During Heart Month in my twenties, I was told I had
- 1:34:58a heart murmur, and then I was on my way. And I was
- 1:35:00an active person. I had three young boys, I was a marathon runner,
- 1:35:05and I started to have some of these symptoms in my thirties and forties,
- 1:35:11only getting worse. The heart palpitations, the chest pain, and a
- 1:35:15little shortness of breath. And I didn't understand where it was coming from,
- 1:35:18but I just I stopped running, and gradually the symptoms chased me through easier
- 1:35:26levels of activity to just I couldn't walk up a flight of stairs without needing
- 1:35:30to stop and catch my breath at the top. That was scary for an
- 1:35:34active person. It continued until I almost passed out one day, and then
- 1:35:40I finally sought care and I was diagnosed with obstructive HCM, and that led
- 1:35:47me to doctor Crowder for treatment. Well, I got to ask you,
- 1:35:51Stephanie, I mean, you know, you said the word finally. I
- 1:35:55mean, I don't know when I stopped my toe I go to a doctor.
- 1:36:00I you know, I mean, you know you're a physically minded person.
- 1:36:05You wait, did you wait too long? If you don't mind me
- 1:36:08asking, I didn't wait too long, I did. I did mention these
- 1:36:14symptoms throughout the years, but I was such an active person I really didn't
- 1:36:18want to be told that something was wrong with me. I just kind of
- 1:36:24was under the impression that I wasn't training hard enough and maybe this was my
- 1:36:27fault, that these symptoms were happening to me. Okay, well that you
- 1:36:30know, that's a very once again, I a very brave woman, because
- 1:36:35there's a lot of people who don't I don't want to say don't take care
- 1:36:42of their health, but don't recognize their health scenarios, and lots of the
- 1:36:46viewers out there don't even take an annual checkup, so there's concern did you
- 1:36:55take annual checkups? Do you take I did? I did, Yes,
- 1:37:00sir, I did. I took annual checkups. And again, like doctor
- 1:37:03Crowder alluded to, because my symptoms only at that time were when I was
- 1:37:10exerting myself and I seemed to be an otherwise healthy person, I these things
- 1:37:17were just kind of passed off or directed back to that you just have a
- 1:37:24heart murmur, you have a little bit of problem with your heart valve.
- 1:37:28And it wasn't all all the pieces of the puzzle weren't put together until I
- 1:37:33almost passed out and that was in July of twenty twenty two. So I'm
- 1:37:36glad I found out. Yeah, I'm glad you found out. Took doctor
- 1:37:43Gowd. Let me ask you, I mean, is this annual checkup?
- 1:37:47Somebody checks it their cholesterol? What are some of the things that people check
- 1:37:53or what are some of the things that they should be checking like when they
- 1:37:57do get a check up. Yeah, Paul, I think your question is
- 1:38:01excellent. And you know, thinking about Stephanie's presentation to me, you know,
- 1:38:06as a cardiologist in particular this idea that patients have been told they have
- 1:38:14a heart murmur, and so, yes, you're right, annual checkups involved
- 1:38:19lab work, but also involve a physical exam, and so physical exam,
- 1:38:26stephanoscope, listening to heart and lungs, the complete deal. You should be
- 1:38:30able to detect a murmur. And a murmur is a sound we hear a
- 1:38:35flow of blood through the heart, and so it can be a clue to
- 1:38:40an underlying heart condition and it can be a clue to obstructive eight cm.
- 1:38:45And so Stephanie again classic case adult with symptomatic eight cm and come in to
- 1:38:54see how we're going to treat this and Traditionally, treatments involved medicine, but
- 1:39:00also involved more so in the past, surgical interventions, invasive interventions. But
- 1:39:09since twenty twenty two, around the time when Stephanie was ultimately diagnosed, we
- 1:39:14have camzios or mavicanton, which is a therapy that can actually reduce the contractility
- 1:39:21and thickness of this heart muscle that we've been talking about, which can relieve
- 1:39:26the gradient or relieve that pressure back up and help relieve the symptoms in these
- 1:39:31patients. When we approach somebody with this, could I'm sorry, go ahead,
- 1:39:38I just said that's great. I mean I'm oh, oh yeah,
- 1:39:40so yeah, all right, so everyson from a great company coming out and
- 1:39:45sharing this Christer Myers squib and that is you know, I'm into the farm
- 1:39:50farmer really spends a lot of money and they figured these things out in many
- 1:39:55many cases. So please tell me more about it. Well, this,
- 1:39:59well, this is this is a great option for patients to relieve the symptoms.
- 1:40:03But as with any therapy, we have to look at side effects,
- 1:40:08and with that decreased contractility of heart muscle, it can lead to heart failure,
- 1:40:13which can lead to death. We certainly talk about other pre existing conditions.
- 1:40:17We talk about pregnancy. We go through patients medicine list and make sure
- 1:40:24there are no drug interactions because everybody's different. Every patient is different in how
- 1:40:28they respond, and so in this particular treatment process, we do frequent echo
- 1:40:34cardigrams. Echoes are ultrasounds of heart muscle, which not only help you know
- 1:40:42see how the therapy is doing, but make sure we're not running into some
- 1:40:45of these other side effects. So it's definitely a relationship between you know,
- 1:40:50doctor and patient because everybody's different. It's a heart murmur. Something that my
- 1:40:57doctor has been checking with a stethoscope to start with is that the when they
- 1:41:00go, you know, it should be so when we when we put the
- 1:41:05stethoscope on the chest, especially on the front part of the chest, we're
- 1:41:10listening for heart sounds and normal heart examination, you're not supposed to have a
- 1:41:15murmur. Murmurs can be completely benign, but they also can represent conditions like
- 1:41:23what we're talking about, or can present with valve issues. All sorts of
- 1:41:30things can be you know, listened from the from the physical examination. So
- 1:41:34it's important to have a doctor that takes the stethoscope out of his or her
- 1:41:40code and listens to the chest. Very important, Stephanie, what's your thinking
- 1:41:47here? What's your thought? And you know, how come you're here,
- 1:41:50how come you came out and are open to speak about things like this.
- 1:41:55I'm here because I want other people to know that this is a great treatment
- 1:42:00option. My symptoms are much reduced. I am active, I'm walking,
- 1:42:03I'm hiking, I'm back in the game. And I'm just really excited to
- 1:42:10ask people to speak to their doctor if they're having these issues, or go
- 1:42:14to Kimzias dot com for more information. And we just thank you so much
- 1:42:17Paul for taking your time with us today and letting us be here, and
- 1:42:23thank you both very much, very important information. Take care and stay well.
- 1:42:28Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, Paul,
- 1:42:31all right, thank you being ms. Thank you Stephanie, and thank you
- 1:42:35doctor doctor. This is important, important commentary. You know, you get
- 1:42:42to see commercials on television for these great medicines that are helping in these situations.
- 1:42:49But I'll be honest, you know, it's a twenty thirty second bit
- 1:42:56of information. We'd like to try to get into a little bit more.
- 1:43:00That's what you'll see here too. You'll see some commercials no doubt about it,
- 1:43:02and they're important as well. However, I don't know. I like
- 1:43:09to hear a little bit more. These are serious and so the more I
- 1:43:13know, the better off I am. I'll speak for myself, and I
- 1:43:16kind of think for yourself as well. The more you know, the better
- 1:43:20off you are. I don't know. All day long, everybody laughs at
- 1:43:23me, but I'm talking to my case Google, my best friend, my
- 1:43:29telephone. So how do you do this? How do you do that?
- 1:43:30How do you cook this? It's good? Is it not good? But
- 1:43:33you know, of course you have to take that with just like you take
- 1:43:36any other media and somebody else's opinion. Make sure you stick with your heart
- 1:43:42and what you think is right, and if you have questions, ask somebody
- 1:43:45that knows, possibly more so like a doctor. Okay, So any health
- 1:43:51and wellness story that we do, I still suggest you go to see the
- 1:43:56doctor and discuss it with them. Okay. Most of the pharmaceutical companies would
- 1:44:00agree with that and have also reiterated that point. A good doctor is worth
- 1:44:06a billion dollars, if not more. And I have a great, great
- 1:44:12doctor, all right, doctor Minatoli. I'm going to say his name because
- 1:44:15he's been my doctor for years and many others and he's like he's just there.
- 1:44:23I mean, he just knows his stuff. He's the smartest ever and
- 1:44:29I love him. I'm very proud to have an opportunity to have a family
- 1:44:32doctor. And respect your doctor, give him a holiday gift, given an
- 1:44:35apple, respect the teacher. Give him an apple too, okay, And
- 1:44:41talking about apples and food. Florence Anderson, she's done food shows for years
- 1:44:46or she did. This is a tribute to Florence Anderson, the Brady Bunch
- 1:44:50mom. And I am so fortunate and good News was so fortunate to get
- 1:44:59a few months. It's with Florence. So she's going to talk a little
- 1:45:01bit about her food and preparation, eating healthy, but also talk about the
- 1:45:06family because I asked her about the family and what she thinks about that,
- 1:45:12and boy, she has important information to share with us. And right from
- 1:45:15that we're going to Good News to go Okay, well, thank you and
- 1:45:19h once again. At the end, you'll see a way to reach us

- 1:47:30good News? Hi, my name is Paul Slacks. This is Good News
- 1:47:34Broadcast. Aren't you tired of bad news, especially without solutions or conversations?
- 1:47:40Well we are as well. For the past ten years, good News Broadcast

- 1:47:49world. We find, we receive, We create life affirming, thought provoking

- 1:48:10TV pilot of what you're going to see today and hopefully you'll tune back each
- 1:48:14and every day to hear good news. So let's go right to Florence Anderson,
- 1:48:17the mom of the Brady Bunch, talking about family and food and how
- 1:48:21they all get together and the importance of family dinner. Florence Claurence, how
- 1:48:27are you well? I'm good, Paul. How are you doing? Laurence?
- 1:48:30I've never been so good as the opportunity to be here with you.
- 1:48:33Well, thank you, and hey, I'm pretty lucky myself. Well,
- 1:48:36you know what, I did a cooking show on the Nashville Network for nine
- 1:48:40years, and then I did a series on PBS called Shortcut Cooking. So
- 1:48:45you kind of gather from those shows that I don't need to spend a whole
- 1:48:50lot of time in the kitchen. I'm interested in doing something that's nutritious and
- 1:48:57delicious and quick. Family world of sitting down all together as a family and
- 1:49:02discussing the day and the future and so on and so forth. Where do
- 1:49:05you think that is gone? That still around? Well, I think it
- 1:49:11is on some level. I wish people would be more aware of how important
- 1:49:15it is. You know, today with so much television, with game boys,
- 1:49:19with the computer, kids want to run off and do those things,
- 1:49:25which is fine, but I do think it should be limited, and I
- 1:49:28think that families should try to spend a short time together sharing a meal.
- 1:49:33I mean, that's when people talk, that's when they really share their honest
- 1:49:36feelings, and I think it gives a parent an opportunity to teach a child
- 1:49:41how to eat healthy. Thanks Laurence for talking about the family and the family
- 1:49:45dinners. We start this uplifting segment called good News to go. What is
- 1:49:50peace? What is love? What is hope? What is love? Okay?
- 1:50:00These are very powerful things. We start off with Claire Dab who's actually
- 1:50:03my yoga instructor and has been a garu for Deepak Chopa as well. And
- 1:50:11I'm crazy about Claire. And Claire is the teacher of the teachers, and
- 1:50:15as a result of that, we're very fortunate to have her give us a
- 1:50:19moment of prayer, a moment to give some consideration in our life. Will
- 1:50:25also be creating and have it already under control. A lot of close with
- 1:50:30Claire, as well as some other wonderful, well known people that are teachers
- 1:50:33of the teachers, and a specialty shoe and products and services. It's all
- 1:50:42good. So we started in nineteen ninety eight, so it was a long
- 1:50:45time ago. Next we'll have Neil deGrasse Tyson. So what else could they
- 1:50:50ask for? All right, let's go to Claire, your heart beating silently
- 1:50:56saying I am strong, I am strong, I am healthy because what you
- 1:51:05think you create, what you think you become. Nice Claire, I'm strong,
- 1:51:15I'm healthy, I'm healthy, I am strong. Health is wealth.
- 1:51:18Okay, we all know that, so do our best to live with that.
- 1:51:23And I'm down. As Michelle said earlier on you know, calm your
- 1:51:27mind amongst the noise around us, and sure do we have a lot of
- 1:51:30noise in many aspects of our lives. So Neil de Grasse Tyson, what
- 1:51:36can you say? He's right on my corner here the the planetarium of the
- 1:51:43Museum of Natural History. I love it crazy about him. He's also on
- 1:51:46Pluto TV and so I interviewed him many years ago. I'll tell you so
- 1:51:54many years I had here, had darker hair, and Neil talked about I
- 1:52:00guess scientific literacy as well as his own family as the good news. So
- 1:52:06he was receiving an award at the renowned National Arts Club, who we've been
- 1:52:13working with for a long long time with a ton of shows and we'll be
- 1:52:15showing some of them. Over the years. We've interviewed well known people there
- 1:52:20because the arts are are and culture or is such a part of our lives,
- 1:52:28it's part of our DNA. So let's hear from Neil Lacrosse Tyson.
- 1:52:30Thanks Neil, Hi, I'm here with Neil deGrasse Tyson, doctor and Neil
- 1:52:35deGrasse Tyson, Hi, how are you doing well? Thanks? Now you
- 1:52:39know how to do this because you were on PBS and because you're from the
- 1:52:43camera so often, and Neil we've spoken with If you go to Neil's name
- 1:52:48on Good News, we have other stories when you had that PBS special and
- 1:52:51overall with the planetarium. Congratulations you're getting awarded here at the National Arts Club.
- 1:52:58Well, thank you. It's quite a lot. And the honor I
- 1:53:00think is measured by the status of those who have won the award before me,
- 1:53:04And so you look at that list, I mean, I'm humbled in
- 1:53:08their presence. So I'm honored to be here tonight, literally and emotionally honored.
- 1:53:13Well, we just received praise from mister Rose, and mister Rose actually
- 1:53:19to the point of Goose pimples on me personally, you have taken his accolades
- 1:53:30because you have helped young people, old people have new vision, or take
- 1:53:36the vision that they already have and make more of it. Well, I
- 1:53:40think of what I do as not so much giving people vision, but revealing
- 1:53:45a pre existing vision. It's always been there. It's a cosmic perspective that
- 1:53:50my profession grants me and anyone in my profession has the capacity to share this
- 1:53:57perspective because it's what we do every day. I'm fortunate enough to have outlets
- 1:54:03where there's sort of greater influence than average among my colleagues. But nonetheless,
- 1:54:09it's really opening people's eyes to the the great beyond the universe, so that
- 1:54:15at the end of the day you have a deeper understanding of our place in
- 1:54:19time, in space, on Earth, and in the universe. To bring
- 1:54:25in people as well, celebrity status, I think the last one of the
- 1:54:29last ones I heard was Harrison Harrison Ford. Did he host one of the
- 1:54:33outreaches and oh, so we have for our space show at the Hayden Planetarium.
- 1:54:38We typically invite a celebrity voice to narrate, not just any celebrity voice,
- 1:54:45typically one that may have had some overlap with science or science fiction,
- 1:54:48and so Harrison Ford, he was in the Star Wars the original trilogy.
- 1:54:55We've had a Whoopi Goldberg in the current one. I'm there often live on
- 1:55:00Live There will you always Welcome to the universe, And so I don't know
- 1:55:03how many people know, but Whoopi Goldberg was influenced by Lieutenant Uhura in the
- 1:55:09original Star Trek, and when Star Trek Next Generation came around, she was
- 1:55:13old enough had already established an acting career. She went up to Gene Roddenberry
- 1:55:15and said, script me in, and he thought she was joking because he
- 1:55:18had just won the Academy Award having just performed in Ghosts, so to deign
- 1:55:24to act in a TV series left him be fuddled at the request. He
- 1:55:30would ultimately learn it was real and then granted that request. So this is
- 1:55:33her overlap with the realm of science. The future for you. I know
- 1:55:38you have some books, and what's the future for you? Oh? Some
- 1:55:42I can't yet talk about, but I have a book coming out in February.
- 1:55:45My original title for the book was nixed by the publisher as being too
- 1:55:49depressing. It was called Failure to Launch the Dreams and Delusions of Space Enthusiasts,
- 1:55:56but they said that was too depressing, So it's called It's called Space
- 1:56:00Chronicles, and it's every thought I've ever had about the past, present,
- 1:56:03and future of space exploration, including tweets. By the way, we should
- 1:56:12continue right with space exploration. Oh, by all means, that's like saying,
- 1:56:15oh, I just bought this house and I looked around the backyard and
- 1:56:18the front yard and we're done. It's like, excuse me, but since
- 1:56:21when is that the measure of having explored all that's worth knowing. I think
- 1:56:27you had just made a comment about a place called Pluto the last time we've
- 1:56:32interviewed you. What was that comment? Get over it. Pluto had it
- 1:56:39coming. It was never deserving of a planet status, and justice has finally
- 1:56:45been served in the Solar System. Okay, I got nothing against Pluto.
- 1:56:48I think it's happier the way it is now. It's one of the giants
- 1:56:54among the dwarfs as opposed to being the pipsqueak of the planets, wasnt It's
- 1:56:58something that Popeye with that Pluto person. Let me, Mickey Mouse Bluto.
- 1:57:02Popeye had Bluto. Yeah yeah, get your cartoon straight. Popeye's nemesis was
- 1:57:09Bluto and Mickey's dog was Pluto name the same. Pluto was sketched the same
- 1:57:15year that the cosmic object was discovered, So they have the same tenure in
- 1:57:18the hearts and minds of Americans. Why Neil got that doctorate, He's got
- 1:57:23information that's very important to have. So tonight, congratulations to you, Thank
- 1:57:27you, And is any thing additional you want to let our audience know.
- 1:57:30At this moment, we got the camera and I can give you some vest
- 1:57:36but other than that, No, Just today we got a buzz cut from
- 1:57:40an asteroid the size of a of an RV and it came within about eight
- 1:57:45thousand miles of the Earth. We'll be discovering more of these as time goes
- 1:57:47on, because our capacity to detect them has increased, and but it'll look
- 1:57:53like they're happening more often, but we just know more about them than ever
- 1:57:57before. That happened just today. Let me ask you a question. Because
- 1:58:00the universe is an active place. I know, I know that, let
- 1:58:02me ask you one quick question. I'll let you go back to everybody.
- 1:58:04It's never how quick the question is, it's how the answers are yes,
- 1:58:08okay, yeah. And this might say if it takes the one, we
- 1:58:10won't go there. And it's not necessarily possibly good news because there's something called
- 1:58:14the mediorite. Is that a problem? Metia write something hitting us? Oh
- 1:58:19yeah, yeah, an asteroid hitting us? Asteroid? Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 1:58:21Of course there's some with our name on it out there. We don't
- 1:58:26have the catalog of asteroids whose orbits cross that of Earth is incomplete, and
- 1:58:30that's a bad situation to be in because it means one can sneak up on
- 1:58:33us without warning, without enough time to do something about it. So we're
- 1:58:39trying to promote the search for near Earth asteroids. Then you get the complete
- 1:58:43catalog, you isolate the ones that put us in harm's way, and then
- 1:58:47plan a deflection scenario or some other kind of way to mitigate the disaster.
- 1:58:53Good news for you is what in any aspect of your life? Oh,
- 1:58:57good news for me? Oh I just hear my daughter got straight a's in
- 1:59:00our first year high school. So that was that was fun and so that
- 1:59:03I thought that was good news. And my son just graduated middle school I'm
- 1:59:09sorry, just graduated elementary school, going into middle school. So it's fun
- 1:59:13watching them. So a good day is watching them grow intellectually and emotionally.
- 1:59:18That's fun for me to watch and to stimulate, to promote the already present
- 1:59:27curiosity that exists within all children, so that as adults, it'll manifest itself
- 1:59:32by what we call scientific literacy, something woefully absent in society today. Okay,
- 1:59:39Neil, thank you very much always, Okay, thank you, thank
- 1:59:41you all right, Thanks Neil. Once again, this guy is one of
- 1:59:45the bosts miss guys on Twitter as well, and there's a reason why.
- 1:59:49He gives a lot of wisdom to scientific discovery and to youth and learning more.
- 1:59:59In fact, he knows about Pluto in Pluto TV because Pluto is no
- 2:00:03longer out there at the planetarium. They downgraded it. Now it's a star.
- 2:00:10Remember one thing, you know, well, I have the pin here.
- 2:00:13Look at this pin boom. That's Mother Earth. I use this as
- 2:00:17my business card. That's mother Earth. No boundaries, no borders from the
- 2:00:23moon. NASA photo of which, if you're paid American taxes, you paid
- 2:00:27for that photo. It's a beautiful photo. And let's go to the photo.
- 2:00:32Okay, it's all good. So we just want to share the sixteen
- 2:00:38billion trillion stories of good news uplifting. The world is good. People of
- 2:00:43the world are good. There are some that are mentally ill, fortunately,
- 2:00:48that are stressed and not having an easy life, and we respect that.
- 2:00:54We need to figure out how to hug them and to hold them into to
- 2:00:57work with them. And so piece is the name of the game. Talking
- 2:01:00about young people. We're unfortunate enough actually through a close friend Renee Edelman to
- 2:01:11be introduced to Gene Myers and Jean and her organization has been doing her good
- 2:01:15news for many years, even before me We're in nineteen ninety eight, YouTube
- 2:01:21was just coming out. See they're in nineteen ninety five creating My Heroes project.
- 2:01:27She has festival. She gives advice and education to young people to go
- 2:01:33out and understand media. She has very strong morals for what media should be
- 2:01:43used for. Are not used for? Okay, and so do we.
- 2:01:45We're very concerned about standards and practices. No one can say anything negative von
- 2:01:50good news. Okay, we just don't want that. That's not needed.
- 2:01:54Even what they will call public servants or some call politicians, say what you
- 2:02:00want to say. All right, let's not knock anybody. And in life,
- 2:02:02let's not knock anybody. People are doing the best they can and so
- 2:02:06let's be positive. So she had some pride that are programming. Let's take
- 2:02:10a look at first thanks today Edelman, and let's take a look at some
- 2:02:17of the kinds of work that my hero does. My hero inhabits the corner
- 2:02:23of the digital world where goodness reigns in the battle against misinformation and malice through
- 2:02:29the positive power of media. The mission of the my Hero Project is to
- 2:02:34use media, art, and technology to celebrate the best of humanity. For
- 2:02:40over a quarter century, the My Hero Project has provided hundreds of millions of
- 2:02:45students and life learners a safe online venue to discover, create, and share
- 2:02:53essays, art, and short films that celebrate diverse heroes from all walks of
- 2:02:58life. My Hero has mentored and supported many young voices, such as environmental
- 2:03:04activist and filmmaker Slater dule Kempker, I'm gonna go with Jack Kista, I
- 2:03:14interviewed John Michell Pista. Come on there, I have vis later. We
- 2:03:18all linked to the ushan, we all connected to the ocean, our life
- 2:03:23support system. Johnny Schall showed me how all living things are connected and how
- 2:03:28we can't separate ourselves from the natural world. Slater went on to produce and
- 2:03:32direct an environmental feature documentary that has won numerous awards called Youth Unstoppable. The
- 2:03:39film concludes with her reconnecting with her hero in DC. What gives you hope?
- 2:03:45I mean, I look at the world right now and hope when I
- 2:03:50met you when you were twelve. We're doing a really and this is the
- 2:03:57baton. I'm passing on the baton to you. This year, students at
- 2:04:01Ascot Elementary took part in a My Hero Media arts program. Whatever dreams they
- 2:04:09have, this project, the my Hero projects makes those dreams more attainable,
- 2:04:15more of a reality. We are school in South central Lda. Instead of
- 2:04:19listening to voices, sometimes the kids hear the helicopters, hear the sirens,
- 2:04:26they hear the police, they hear gunshots. My Hero project allows the students
- 2:04:30to hear each other, listen to each other's voices, and to celebrate learning
- 2:04:38to see a better future for themselves. Sharing their stories from the heart and
- 2:04:45the mind opens the possibilities of building pride, building relationships, building resilience,
- 2:04:54and above all, making the kids feel proud who they are, who they're
- 2:05:01going to be. Okay, my Hero Forward motion good news in the media.
- 2:05:24There's no doubt about it. Each and every day, pretty darn good
- 2:05:27news. Freedom. Why do I say freedom because I have a tiet says
- 2:05:31freedom, wrong way freedom talking about freedom. I was fortunate enough back in
- 2:05:41nineteen eighty nine to do an event in Times Square. We had our offices
- 2:05:45in Times Square Studios. It wasn't a zoom background in in those states,
- 2:05:49and we do have a TV studio in Brooklyn when we haven't been back there.
- 2:05:53A thousand books from authors. I don't know. This COVID really has
- 2:05:59taken on a serious mentality, emotionality. We did one hundred shows in my
- 2:06:08backyard here and there for those good people helping out during that time. So
- 2:06:14it is what is about peace and love and hope and working together. So
- 2:06:17we've created a movie from our eighty nine experience. Richie Havens came over,
- 2:06:23who started the original sixty nine would start singing the song freedom, and that's
- 2:06:29a serious, serious song because without freedom, there's no piece. Okay,
- 2:06:34what is piece? Piece? Many many people. We've asked thousands of people.
- 2:06:38We're gonna put them on what is peace to them? And I'll be
- 2:06:43surprised to know that peace for everybody is actually quite different. Of course,
- 2:06:49there's the inner piece, there's outer piece, and everybody has some explanation of
- 2:06:55what piece is. And you're gonna hear some here in this show, and
- 2:06:58you've already heard some from some young people. What's piece for you? You
- 2:07:02know? Write us all right? Paul dot Slack is one at gmail dot
- 2:07:08com. Write me and tell me what's pieces for you. I'm going to
- 2:07:10read those out to what is love, what is hope? And what's your
- 2:07:15good news? All right? We created a movie called Woodstock Forever, Peace,
- 2:07:18Love and Hope. We had a hard time getting the whole thing in
- 2:07:23eighty nine funded because a lot of people thought about sex, drugs and rock
- 2:07:26and roll. But the group that I was with, jim A. Sultan,
- 2:07:30Jimmy Hundricks, Drunner, and the group that came down from Bethel in
- 2:07:33the nineteen eighty nine their mindset was the focus of peace, love and harmony
- 2:07:39that came out of Woodstock, and Woodstock was one of the first concerts here
- 2:07:43in America. Expected forty half a million came over and some of the greatest
- 2:07:48superstars who have words to listen to came out of Woodstock. So let's take
- 2:07:57a look at our sizzle. You know, this is a reel that by
- 2:08:01the end of this year will be a movie. It already is a movie,
- 2:08:05and now we're looking to take it out to the world and share it
- 2:08:11and share you. We have lots and lots of people in that movie.
- 2:08:16I did it with help one of my grandkids, because that's our future generation.
- 2:08:22And I love those kids all right. I'm a very lucky guy.
- 2:08:24Let's go to the movie Who Love You? You see it's scary late,
- 2:08:33Please don't care. Who do Love You? Read up Freedom, Freedom,
- 2:08:48sometimes hind feel like them all all and come there. It was a lot
- 2:09:07more than drug, sex and rock and roll. It was about a nation
- 2:09:11coming together for three days around music in a peaceful way. And we're giving
- 2:09:16that message to the next generation so that they'll understand the importance of working together
- 2:09:20for change, involvement for your own mind. And my feeling is that what
- 2:09:24is happening in this twentieth anniversary is in fact clarity of the issues, clarity
- 2:09:31of the past, clarity of what's really stood for. And it's all going
- 2:09:35to the younger generation. Whether the media knows it or not, or whether
- 2:09:37we know it or not. That's what's looking at it. We are far
- 2:09:41far, far far ahead of our times in terms of getting over the home,
- 2:09:45in terms of having the actual material. Who's going to change it with
- 2:09:48all the young people today. In addition to the twentieth anniversary celebration, RMB
- 2:09:54is achieved some of those media everyday city again a peace, love and hope.
- 2:10:01It's been a little done, things over wrong and come to none.
- 2:10:35Okay, I want to share another piece by the My Hero Project, the
- 2:10:39one in which won in one of their films Awards for My Hero Film Festival
- 2:10:46Prize. It's a uh this is This movie ties in so much like with
- 2:10:50woodstock has to say and just what life has to say. And they take
- 2:10:56a more palmtary from Maya Angelo, who's a poet as we all know,
- 2:11:01in a civil rights activists and with their electrifying poem Still I Rise and the
- 2:11:11producers of this are just magnificent as part of the My Hero Film Festival,
- 2:11:16it won it and happy to share more information about it because this is very
- 2:11:26powerful. Where will you forge common ground? Okay? You think about that,
- 2:11:33That's what it prompts us to speak and think about. Where will you
- 2:11:37forge common ground? Where do we get together? Come on, everybody,
- 2:11:41let's get together. We're going to be playing that in a little while.
- 2:12:13You may write me down in history with your better twisted lines, you may
- 2:12:24trod me in the very dirt, but still like dust all rise, does
- 2:12:33my sassiness upset you? Why are you be said with gloom just because I
- 2:12:43won't as if I have oil wells something in my living room, just like
- 2:12:52suns and like moons, with the certainties of times, just like hope,
- 2:13:00springing eye? Still I ride? Did you want to see me broken?
- 2:13:07Bowed head? And Lord I shoulders falling down my hip hops? We can
- 2:13:13divide my souls of lis? Does my assassin that's upset to non't take it
- 2:13:22to heart? Just because I lie as if I have gold mines digging in
- 2:13:26my own backyard. You can shoot me with your words, you can touch
- 2:13:35me with your lives, you can kill me with your age, But just
- 2:13:39my life a rise, does my sex and suffenson off? Does it come
- 2:13:48as a surprise that I dant as if I have diamonds at the meeting of
- 2:13:56my thighs? D that's a proper out of the huts of history, shame.
- 2:14:11I rise up from a past rooted in pain. I rise a black
- 2:14:18ocean, leaping and wide, dwelling and swelling. I bear in the time,
- 2:14:28leaving behind knights of terror and fear into a daybreak miraculously clears. I
- 2:14:39ride, bringing the gifts that my ancestors in. I am the hope and
- 2:14:46the dreams of the sleeve. What immediate results do you hope to achieve,
- 2:14:52well, we were to achieve. Its the right Alight Alight all raight.
- 2:15:41Ah boy, that's a great movie. Having started, I guesst my career.
- 2:15:46I'll just seven nineteen seventy two. I was honored to be part of
- 2:15:54the CBS family for days own the family studays are over. That price is
- 2:16:01right. These shows are still on the air. A lot of them are
- 2:16:03on Pluto and So and CBS News. One of the shows that for me
- 2:16:11meant what was the reason to get into show business? And that was initially
- 2:16:18actually for me. All in a family and normally are was a mentor for
- 2:16:20me. He had beautiful thoughts, positive thoughts, but you knew Archie Bunker
- 2:16:26was a bigot. You cried with him and you laughed at him, but
- 2:16:30you knew he was a biggot. And that's not a good news thing.
- 2:16:33Everybody should love everybody and respect each other. So this next show is the
- 2:16:45greatest. It's so good, and I'm going to show a segment of it.
- 2:16:50I should be into Dow Charles osgood some time ago. But Jane Bawley
- 2:16:54does a better job than me. She's great, and Jane Pauly is When
- 2:17:01Charles osgood passed away recently honored him from the CBS Morning Show as well as
- 2:17:11I will say the world because CBS Sunday Morning is a blessing. Get up
- 2:17:18nine am here in the New York time, I guess other times around the
- 2:17:24world, and or just go to Pluto and look for under Sun and CBS
- 2:17:28Sunday Morning. It is a win. It is a big win. Every
- 2:17:33story is good news, and I'm honored to have a moment to share that
- 2:17:39with you. All Right, let's go to Jane Pauley talking about Charles osgood
- 2:17:43from CBS Sunday Morning. Charles Osgood, as you've learned today, was an
- 2:17:50uncommonly interesting man. I learned new things though I knew him for many years,
- 2:17:56Just like many of you did. I looked forward to the osgood file
- 2:18:01on the radio in my car. There was nothing else like it like him.
- 2:18:07His deft take on the news of the day, insight wrapped in whimsy
- 2:18:11and often in rhyme, his heart and humanity so plain you could see it
- 2:18:16on the radio. I never imagined that one day I'd know the man himself.
- 2:18:24Watching Charles Osgoode at work in the studio. That was a masterclass in
- 2:18:28communicating a broadcast stylist. It's a subtle art. He was one of the
- 2:18:35very best and one of the last. Frankly, he knew how to connect.
- 2:18:39Never delivering a line, he just talked to you in a style that
- 2:18:45communicated his authenticity. You felt like you knew Charlie and he knew you.
- 2:18:52As a viewer once told me, Charlie is so present, and even after
- 2:18:58his retirement, Charlie remained the big presence here. You see it every week,
- 2:19:03his sensibility, curiosity, his connection and affection for you. I have
- 2:19:09a favorite poem. Powerful are those who choose the items that make up the
- 2:19:15news. And yet, in spite of all that power, it's much like
- 2:19:18singing in the shower. For it's clear from card and letter that you all
- 2:19:24think you'd do it better. No one did it better. Charlie has been
- 2:19:31uniquely present to me. When I say this is Sunday morning, and join
- 2:19:37us. When our trumpet sounds again, I still hear Charlie. Maybe you
- 2:19:43do too. Okay, we obviously are shown out of media and the power
- 2:19:48of media. Very important to understand media. Actually, I think personally it's
- 2:19:54one of the reasons why we have so many problems because we don't understand media.
- 2:19:58And what I mean by that is the following. You know, there's
- 2:20:03a certain amount of time in the day, and I learned early on,
- 2:20:05say at CBS, that what we're in essence are doing in the world of
- 2:20:09media is selling time, is sharing time. In essence, when that time
- 2:20:16runs out once the time now that we're doing, what we're doing is it's
- 2:20:20over, okay, well as you record it and you play it back on
- 2:20:24demand. So time is very important. That media is very important. But
- 2:20:30what we need to understand is that in a day of television programming on all
- 2:20:35the networks and so on and other media, they have, say half an
- 2:20:39hour for the news, and they don't. They're not on twenty four hour
- 2:20:43news channel. So what are they doing that half an hour? They hit
- 2:20:48you with I'll say, hit you with it. They share let's say,
- 2:20:52that's probably nicer to say and probably more accurate. It is more accurt since
- 2:20:56I've worked in the news. They share problems, serious problems, murders,
- 2:21:03fires, disasters, or that you all have importance. You need to know
- 2:21:13if there's a fire next door to you, and if you're fortunate enough,
- 2:21:18you'll hear it on the news so you can get out of your house and
- 2:21:22or to learn about a rapist on the corner. These are serious issues,
- 2:21:28and thank god for the news. The news was actually created too to show
- 2:21:35people what is going on or maybe solve problems that are out there. So
- 2:21:39I have a lot of respect for news and reporters. These reporters go into
- 2:21:43the war zones, come on, some get captured, some get killed.
- 2:21:48You gotta love it. You gotta love them, and you've got to respect
- 2:21:54them. So I have only I don't call it sensational. It's just not
- 2:21:58a word that I think it is. I know from my experience. They
- 2:22:03in CBS News that was honorable, and Channel thirteen PBS two, their programming
- 2:22:09is honorable. They're people, were people. That's it personal social responsibility.
- 2:22:13We talked about that earlier. It's all about people. Corporations are people,
- 2:22:18all right. So with that in mind, let's go to some print,
- 2:22:22though, and so print has that power just like television and other media records
- 2:22:31and so on. Here's an article that was just recently published because a great
- 2:22:37woman, a great woman gave a billion dollars, a billion dollars to Albert
- 2:22:45Einstein College of medicine. Okay, you know what Albert Einstein said. He
- 2:22:50said, if I would have known what my invention, which was helped to
- 2:22:56create an adam bomb, also was going to be used for I would have
- 2:23:01stayed a carpenter. So that's that. I'll add one other thing here because
- 2:23:07it's on my corner. We have the Nobel Prize right by the Museum of
- 2:23:11Natural History. There's a statue has all the Nobel Prize winners. Mister Nobel,
- 2:23:18he created dynamite. It was an event or a philanthropist and another opportunity
- 2:23:24to do good and do bad, mostly good, all right, and let's
- 2:23:30pray that all efforts of everybody here in the world is for doing good,
- 2:23:35because that's the story we want and we really believe down in our hearts that
- 2:23:41the world is good and the people of the world are good, and the
- 2:23:45ones that are mentally ill will be healed. They'll realize for their own safety
- 2:23:52and those around us. All right, but we can't give up. We
- 2:23:54have to meet the nope. Somebody once told me that good news aren't broadcast.
- 2:24:00What does a stand for? Hope? H Ope? There is hope,
- 2:24:05all right. It's not a negative world. It's a positive world.
- 2:24:07Most people live in peace, which you haven said to me ten percent,
- 2:24:11don't what's ten percent? Eight hundred million, that's a big number. What
- 2:24:18does that leave There's eight billion people and we take ten percent off, then
- 2:24:24what do we have seven point two billion who are just trying to get a
- 2:24:28glass of water and just trying to be nice to each other. Okay,
- 2:24:31I don't know any bad people. I just don't know any bad people.
- 2:24:35And I'm very lucky. Okay, I can't say I never got messed up
- 2:24:41professionally in business, but you know, sometimes there's misunderstanding and miscommunications. That's
- 2:24:48an important word to remember. All right, So to this wonderful lady,
- 2:24:54This wonderful lady. She is beautiful, just like my mother. And she
- 2:25:03has the same name as my mother, Ruth Scotsman, ninety three years old.
- 2:25:07And she was the head of the board and she was a teacher.
- 2:25:11But she was also married. No bud about it to Sandy, and Sandy
- 2:25:16was a smart one. Sandy started as his business. I don't actually know
- 2:25:20exactly what it was, but Sandy was an early shareholder of a gentleman named
- 2:25:26Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway and there's another great man, Warren Buffett, and financially
- 2:25:33he did well and she's done wisely with them money a billion dollars. I
- 2:25:39mean from medicine, we need more doctors, we need more general doctors,
- 2:25:45we need more specialist doctors, dentists, pharmacists. They're all wonderful, wonderful
- 2:25:52people. So let's go for that. That's a beautiful thing. Now I'm
- 2:25:56going to switch to another another Areyan media, and that's authors. They write
- 2:26:03a book. In fact, that's what they call the book for Broadway.
- 2:26:07It's the book, or some people call it the script for a movie.
- 2:26:09But it's those writers that come up with it. It's the writers of all
- 2:26:15in the family. And then it's the actors to say it well, it's
- 2:26:18the director to direct it. Well, it's a set decorator to make it
- 2:26:22look good, so on and so forth. But someone has to come up
- 2:26:24with the idea for a cowber sketch, okay, and somebody has to come
- 2:26:28up for a book. So one book that I am been suppressed with and
- 2:26:35actually broke the world the New York Times record that was called The Road Let's
- 2:26:41Travel by doctor M Scott pet I've spoken about this many times. His book
- 2:26:50starts with the following, life is difficult. This is a great truth,
- 2:26:56one of the greatest truths. It is a great truth because because once we
- 2:27:01truly see this truth, we transcend it. Once we truly know that life
- 2:27:07is difficult, once we truly understand and accept it, then life is no
- 2:27:15longer difficult, because once it is accepted, the fact that life is difficult
- 2:27:22no longer matters. Well, stated doctor pet Okay. I like that.
- 2:27:30I always have liked, and I like to speak about that. I have
- 2:27:35a I have a piece of art. About art. There's another im mediate.
- 2:27:41We've interview some of the finest rothenburg Bubarnad and so many others. It's
- 2:27:50by the woodstock rainbowman. And at the top of the mountain across the mountain,
- 2:27:56he puts a rainbow on the top. He says, But you get
- 2:27:58to the top of the hill from mountain, keep climbing, okay, keep
- 2:28:03climbing out there. Every day is a new day, and the past is
- 2:28:07a history. The future is a mystery. And today's the president. And
- 2:28:11that's why they call it the President. I'll add another one of my little
- 2:28:13silly things, live in the now. Now this is in my book.
- 2:28:22This means see, I like to spell things backwards. The thing I love
- 2:28:28to spell backwards the most is the word dad. Are What I love to
- 2:28:35say is dad d a D. But if you spell dad backwards, you
- 2:28:39get D a D. How about that? And how about mom m O
- 2:28:45m m o m huh. A lot of education. I really am one
- 2:28:50smart guy talking about smart guys smarter than I. Ray Romano, how about
- 2:28:56Ray Romano. What a great show he has about Rosie O'donno, you know,
- 2:29:01everybody starts somewhere. We have some some footage of them performing at the
- 2:29:07Rascal House here in New Jersey. They were funny then and they continue to
- 2:29:11be funny in a way that he educates people makes you think. Let's think,
- 2:29:20and let's hear from Ray Romano at Rosiodan. Why ladies, why you
- 2:29:24know, why can't we be squeamish? Really? The other day the other
- 2:29:28day, my wife shrieked, you know, and I ran up to the
- 2:29:31bathroom. This thing frightened me. Really, I have never seen a bug
- 2:29:35that large. Really, we have a clean bathroom. Okay, my wife
- 2:29:39wrote that, but I'm telling you, yeah, I gotta put that disclaimer
- 2:29:43in for her. But this thing, it was tremendous. It had graffiti
- 2:29:46on it. It was a nuclear and my wife's hysterical. What are you
- 2:29:52waiting for killing? And you can't just rush in and kill a bug like
- 2:29:54this? Really, you gotta think it out. Yeah you do? You
- 2:29:58know what if I swing and miss I don't. I don't know if it
- 2:30:01has the gift of flight. For one thing, I don't wanna. I
- 2:30:05don't wanna Kamakazi bug flipping around all of a sudden, and she starts yelling,
- 2:30:11spray it. Don't think you can grab any aerosol can and sprays it.
- 2:30:15Bug, use the odorant. I've killed bugs with the odorant. I'm
- 2:30:18trying to kill this monster with the odorant. And the ones I could find
- 2:30:22was the roll on. This isn't working, honey, Come on, he
- 2:30:26likes this. I killed it. I took a shoe and I smashed it.
- 2:30:35Yeah, it was ugly. The thing was so big it like splattered.
- 2:30:39Yeah, it was gross. And then my wife started bitching, Oh,
- 2:30:41look at the tiles. Now, what do you want me to do?
- 2:30:46Lethally inject the bug? He's dead. You you called the bug killer.
- 2:30:52The bug is dead. Okay now there's a mess. I believe that's
- 2:30:56your jurisdiction. Back me up, guys, you know, yeah, suh.
- 2:31:05I think there are too many idiots in this country. I really do.
- 2:31:07I think they should have idiots anonymous, just like alcoholics anonymous. All
- 2:31:13the idiots have to go to meetings twice a week. They have to get
- 2:31:16up and speak, yeah, Hi, my name's Rosie. I'm an idiot,
- 2:31:18and all the other idiots would go Hi, Pete, Hi, thanks
- 2:31:28Rosie. Ladies first and Ray, okay, you have given us a way
- 2:31:37to look at life's lessons, as I mentioned earlier, through comedy. Even
- 2:31:43in reruns. I can watch those things there a zillion times, all right.
- 2:31:48Earlier, I know a lot of these reruns, A lot of these
- 2:31:50kinds of shows are on Pluto TV. So look through all their channels.
- 2:31:54They got great channels. It's unbelievable, all right. Early on in the
- 2:31:58show, we had two young, wonderful entertainers. They're superstars. There's social
- 2:32:07media phenomenons. They love to dance and more love to dance. They love
- 2:32:13to share what his piece for them. You know, I think what I've
- 2:32:18decided to do is to show them again right now, along with someone called
- 2:32:22Chucky Armstrong. We like Chucky. He has some good kinds of things to
- 2:32:30add as well. We showed on my heroes so many great things. So
- 2:32:35here I want to say, with young people with this kind of a mindset,
- 2:32:41how fortunate we are, how fortunate the future is along with so many
- 2:32:46other young people. All right, let's go to Mackenzie and Reef, and
- 2:32:50then let's go to Chucky. Thank you, Reef, Haarrison Kinsey Brookhi,
- 2:32:54how are you too? So what's your good news today? What's going on
- 2:33:00on here? Well? Yeah, she's saying her new single senten add an
- 2:33:05unroung call love and lost Love. And then we all both performed together and
- 2:33:11during a dance mash up at different that we made up ourselves. Well that
- 2:33:15dance. I'm in show business fifty years. You guys can dance. You're
- 2:33:20really really super talented. And the aoreography if that's did you can see it?
- 2:33:26I mean, you know you could be in the Olympics. Seriously,
- 2:33:30I mean you really have a beautiful, beautiful move like I kind of could
- 2:33:58just live my life. No matter what kind of an age, that kind
- 2:34:01of is a message, no matter how old you are, whether you're in
- 2:34:03your thirties, you're in your nineties, your five years goals whenever someone tells
- 2:34:09you something, if you want to do it different, but don't do something
- 2:34:13else because someone else told you to or because you're a sister in age.
- 2:34:16So that was once what inspired seventeen. And then Love is Love. That
- 2:34:20was kind of a collaboration between me and Rap and it's kind of just like
- 2:34:26about loving everyone and being who you are. And then look about routine.
- 2:34:31You want to talk about our routeas like you just made a pretty much to
- 2:34:35our like our favorite songs, really like our favorite I still I still like
- 2:34:41the actual. Yeah, I'm always enjoyed going about sex. Yeah, we
- 2:34:45always love those little ros. We do a concert right here for the International
- 2:35:09Day of Peace. I've been doing it twenty years in Central Park and here,
- 2:35:13and then we have something in the evening as well. On the twenties
- 2:35:18the International Day, one hundred and ninety three countries agree to a day of
- 2:35:20peace. And I've asked thousands of people, what's peace for you? What
- 2:35:24makes peace for you? At peace meets me just like bringing everyone together like
- 2:35:30no one like savage other on the back of everyone's just like being like a
- 2:35:33good friend in a way, and like just being there for each other,
- 2:35:35you know, and like respecting everyone another, respectful what people do, like,
- 2:35:39don't judge on like when people look what people do like like, don't
- 2:35:45do the bookbots cover. That's that's a good good set probably just like that,
- 2:35:48just like bring peace can be trying, y'all can be family and just
- 2:35:52kind of coming together and support. I want to down there peace. Peace?
- 2:35:58What is peace? Yeah? What is Piece? For you? Peace?
- 2:36:01To me is something that needs to be accomplished. It's it's our main
- 2:36:05goal. It's that everyone can get along with each other without problems. Equality,
- 2:36:11your gender, equality, everyone's equal. No more fights, no more
- 2:36:15your ward's about politics, just Piece. You know, it's great. Your
- 2:36:18dad is passing us by as you're talking about Piece, and your dad is
- 2:36:22a Piece, Nick I'm gonna call him. He's a man. He's the
- 2:36:24producer overseeing this whole wondam I brought it back because he wants to see more
- 2:36:31peace in the young people. Wouldn't you say that? Yeah, it's like
- 2:36:33it teaches kids, Hey, I can do that too, which it's a
- 2:36:39It spreads a good message which can also help promote Piece. And it's it's
- 2:36:43a peaceful show. There's it's just piece is something that means to me is
- 2:36:52I do? It needs to be accomplished. And if we can spread the
- 2:36:56word of peace however we can, we're doing our job. There you go,
- 2:37:01brother, You're just like your dad, positive and not just talk reality.
- 2:37:07Chuck, congratulations, I see interviewing some people. You're doing a great
- 2:37:09job. Thanks a lot. Thanks McKenzie Reef. Actually, if you're tuned
- 2:37:18in earlier, if you were tuned in earlier, you could see McKenzie and
- 2:37:22my mom as well. Okay, a proud mom. Family is the name
- 2:37:26of the game. And if you tuned in earlier, you can see other
- 2:37:31family minded conversations. Kirk Douglas, how about that? How about Michael Duglas?
- 2:37:39How about capaan Zea Jones? How about Danny DeVito, Michael Douglas's roommate
- 2:37:43family. People that respect each other and do good for the world. That's
- 2:37:48what we love to do. And coming up, I'm so excited we have
- 2:37:52more wonderful people that do good for the world. We have Stevie Wonder being
- 2:37:58an introducer by t S. Monk the Loneiest Monk's son, and Shakira all
- 2:38:03right, So this is some show and I hope you're appreciating it. We're
- 2:38:11making it for you, and we want you to share your content with us.
- 2:38:16All right, Dick Deep Bart toll Low, Okay, you know who
- 2:38:20Dick is. Dick wrote for Mad magazine for a zillion trillion, billion trillion
- 2:38:26billion years and he's a funny guy. But what also this funny guy there
- 2:38:33bikes is uh, technology and gadgets. It's a gadgetude, all right,
- 2:38:41he's uh, he's shared with us a segment of which you can spice up
- 2:38:45your bedroom. Hello, bedroom? Anybody want to spice up their bedroom?
- 2:38:50I don't know? This is well, this is an interesting spice up Your
- 2:38:54bedroom has to tie into water, because it has to tie into a ship,
- 2:38:58and it has to tie into cloud. So you know why we have
- 2:39:00the clouds behind us here is that we always need rain. And when those
- 2:39:05clouds get too too heavy, it rains, and when those clouds get too
- 2:39:09cold, it snows. Love the clouds. So that's why we don't even
- 2:39:15have a photo here of a clear sky. A clear sky is beautiful.
- 2:39:18I'm not not gonna close guy wear suns screen. Okay, this is serious.
- 2:39:24You know I'm melanoma, and so wear sunscreen. No, no,
- 2:39:30so uh. Since I had it added twice, then it's serious. But
- 2:39:35they dug it out and I'll be fine. The important thing is take care
- 2:39:39of yourself and watch out for the sun because it does have some rays that
- 2:39:43are not healthy for you. Okay, back to Dick de Partola. Dick
- 2:39:48is going to show us some of his fun gadgets. Hey, let him
- 2:39:54speed rohim some. All right, Dick, go ahead, and this boats
- 2:40:00I missed voting, but thanks to Amazon and Dennis and his imagination, I
- 2:40:07can still go voting in my bedroom on a sailing ship with a great cloudy
- 2:40:18sky with stars. All right, let me see what we're looking at here.
- 2:40:24Okay, all right, so this is pretty neat. These are from
- 2:40:30Amazon. Okay, I never knew about this. Amazon sells every kind of
- 2:40:37imaginal background. Dennis bought one of New York City in the background and they
- 2:40:43start, I believe this is the smallest, which is three by five,
- 2:40:48and this was under twenty dollars. And then Dennis said, oh, how
- 2:40:54about we had a mask, which he did, and then I said,
- 2:40:58oh, you know what, let's say it running lights. So I went
- 2:41:03on Amazon. I bought. These are actual ship running lights. We dimmed
- 2:41:05them because they were way too bright. Running lights have to meet coastguard requirements,
- 2:41:13but you don't need coastguard requirements in the bedroom. And we're going further.
- 2:41:20Then has an idea to paint clouds and stuff over this, which we're
- 2:41:24going to do. But I just wanted to see. So it's a fabric.
- 2:41:28Okay, it's a thin fabric and great for kids' birthday parties. You
- 2:41:33can buy all kinds of backgrounds. We'll go look at a few of them
- 2:41:39after this video. But I think it's really great. Ohaiim madies. Oh
- 2:41:46wait this little guy that remember we did that. I think it's called like
- 2:41:52the Mecca man. That is what is projecting. Let me just slower this
- 2:41:56again. That is what is projecting the moving sky and the stars. And
- 2:42:05that was thirty bucks. I believe the Nebula projector with stars. I'll get
- 2:42:15you a cracker. This is the finished product. Dennis has worked long and
- 2:42:22hot hours and my ship has come in. Let's take a peek at it,
- 2:42:28and let's see it with the lights dim just a bit more and you
- 2:42:35can see how great. So I can go voting every night and be seasick
- 2:42:43every morning. Actually, I think this is pretty swell well wave. So
- 2:42:54after I bought my background with the ship, Dennis thought would buy the New
- 2:43:00York City Skyline and put it in his windows, but it didn't work out
- 2:43:07as well for him. This is what the New York City Skyline looks like,
- 2:43:11and this is ten dollars. It's nine to ninety nine. So if
- 2:43:16you're doing a party and you want a New York City background, this is
- 2:43:22what it looks like. And this is what it looks like when it's very,
- 2:43:24very windy in New York City. All right, thanks Dick. That's
- 2:43:33some bedroom all the best. Okay. Now, based upon that, we're
- 2:43:43going to give some thought to well water boats. I'll just show a shout
- 2:43:46out for Reeds though, who we have a lot of shows with Reachstow went
- 2:43:50around the world for one thousand, one hundred and fifty two days without the
- 2:43:54side of land and with the Sonia and her son Darshan. Sony got off
- 2:44:00about three hundred and five days because she was pregnant. Water, you see
- 2:44:05in this show right earlier on, we're very interested in water. This ship
- 2:44:11in his bedroom is more about water. The sustenance of life. Let's be
- 2:44:18respectful to it. Okay, if the caesar increasingly finding out solutions, so
- 2:44:24the bottom line is more and more people figure it out. But also mother
- 2:44:31Nature has her or his or whatever name you want to call Mother Nature.
- 2:44:37Way to run Mother Nature in the world and the earth. Okay, this
- 2:44:43one is very good. Okay. We have a host is going to a
- 2:44:46new host, A good guy, smart guy, Andrew Grappo. And Andrew.
- 2:44:54He's a smart guy and smart we need. Okay, and Andrew,
- 2:45:00I said, because I want video games are big business. Besides big business.
- 2:45:07Uh, well, you'll hear from Andrew. He did a segment here
- 2:45:11for us about video games. Remember we're good news. Okay, we want
- 2:45:18good news. We're not looking for video games where people are punching and beaten
- 2:45:22and kicking and all these others stupid famous. In fact, you're gonna see
- 2:45:26one of our games, all right, hug for peace. All right,
- 2:45:28Andrew, let's see. Oh, he talks are very important, that's for
- 2:45:33sure. He talks to Carl Sagan's son Nick. Such good okay, Andrew,
- 2:45:41thanks, My name is Andrew Garoppo. Video games have become extremely popular
- 2:45:48worldwide. Good News took a look at some good news games, including our
- 2:45:52own, and with the wisdom of gamer guru and professor mister Nick Sagan PROMITHCA
- 2:45:58College, we share this good news. I'm Nick Sagan. I'm a professor
- 2:46:05at a college. I'm a screenwriter and novelist. I've worked on a bunch
- 2:46:09of different mediums, and I put a class of storytelling. I am a
- 2:46:16lifelong fan of video games, from when I got my first Apple to computer
- 2:46:20back in nineteen seventy six when I was six years old, from High Technology
- 2:46:26the Computer Store introducing Apple Too, the easy to operate home computer just took
- 2:46:31it up to your TV to create dazzling Colley displays. Kids can seat themselves
- 2:46:37arithmetic, or the family can invent their own pong games. The possibilities are
- 2:46:41endless. Video games have been important to me for a long time. I've
- 2:46:45been very lucky in that Professionally, I've been able to work in that field
- 2:46:48as well. In nineteen ninety six, I worked for Activision on a computer
- 2:46:54adventure game called Zork Nemesis, which was a sequel to the earlier text adventures
- 2:47:01as Zork franchise, and I've also worked on a couple of other video games
- 2:47:05since then an alternate reality game, a little twitch game, that kind of
- 2:47:09stuff. So yeah, it's it's it's it's great when there's something that you
- 2:47:13actually enjoy doing and playing and you actually get to give back to that.
- 2:47:16That's that's a really nice feeling. Can you go on further about video games
- 2:47:24as a force for case, Well, video games is a force for piece
- 2:47:31is an interesting idea. There are games that that do that. There are
- 2:47:33games that are specifically designed towards making people think and and look at things in
- 2:47:39a different way. So you know, there are a couple of dedicated game
- 2:47:45sites online, including Mali Industria and Games for Change, and typically they're you
- 2:47:50know, they have games about environmentalism or games that are you know, critiquing
- 2:47:56capitalism or what have you just heard, you know, different ways, games
- 2:48:00that explore democracy and they're trying to show people something a little bit different.
- 2:48:05So there are games that are trying to expand your consciousness and make you think
- 2:48:09about things differently. You hadn't heard before. My child Libans Born I Think,
- 2:48:16which was as a little phone game here and it's set in I believe,
- 2:48:22Norway, and it's a nurture game where you like take care of a
- 2:48:24child and you make choices. You're a situation where you're sending your child to
- 2:48:30school and they're getting picked on for their heritage, and you have to make
- 2:48:33choices and how do you protect them and what do you tell them and what
- 2:48:35do not tell them? And as a very moving, affecting game, people
- 2:48:39go through all kinds of really tough situations in their personal life. You can
- 2:48:43be as far from peace internally as possible, but to be transported somewhere else
- 2:48:50where. You're a wizard in a fantasy world and you're leveling up and before
- 2:48:56I couldn't do this, and look at the progress. I can do all
- 2:48:58this cool stuff now and I really feel a sense of connection to the world
- 2:49:03and the story that can be helpful to people. And people can you know,
- 2:49:07who are suffering through trauma can sometimes find their way through it with those
- 2:49:09kinds of positive distractions, as long as the stop you from doing the things
- 2:49:13that you need to do. So I think on an individual level, video
- 2:49:16games and peace inner piece is possible. Let me ask you this, peace,
- 2:49:26what does it mean to you? So that's a you know, a
- 2:49:33lovely word with a lot of different connotations. If you're talking about world peace.
- 2:49:37That's a beautiful dream. But there's also a kind of a peace of
- 2:49:41mind, a more individual personal piece, making peace with your path and your
- 2:49:48your your life choices and the mark you leave on the world. So for
- 2:49:54creatives, you know, I ask in the storytelling class, you know,
- 2:49:58like why are you doing this? Like what's your point in trying to reach
- 2:50:01out to people? Because you can entertain them, which is wonderful and good
- 2:50:05and of itself, because people need desperately sometimes entertainment. But you can also
- 2:50:09change people, you know, you can inspire them, you can teach them,
- 2:50:13you can tickle them, you can leave them a little bit different than
- 2:50:15how you found them and hopefully better. So my feeling is that you want
- 2:50:18to make those choices so that the end of your life you've done the kind
- 2:50:22of gipping back that makes you, you know, peaceful. Try our New
- 2:50:31Hope for Peace games created by Good News Broadcast. Yeah thanks, mister Sagan.
- 2:51:18These past years have created many changes in our lifestyle as a result of
- 2:51:22COVID video games served as a way to communicate and connect with each other during
- 2:51:30these tough times. Next you will see a powerful, positive COVID inspired video
- 2:51:37by Tom Foolery called the great realization. Tell me the what about the marsk
- 2:51:46they I'll go to bed. Oh my boy, you're growing weary, sleepy
- 2:51:50thoughts about your head? Please? That one's my favorite, I promise.
- 2:51:54Just what's more? Okay, snuggle down, my boy. Though I know
- 2:52:00you know full well the story starts before then, in a world I once
- 2:52:05would dwell. It was a world of waste and wonder, of poverty and
- 2:52:09plenty, back before we understood why Hindsight's twenty twenty. You see, the
- 2:52:16people came up with companies to trade across all lands. But they swelled and
- 2:52:22got much bigger than we ever could have planned. We'd always had our wants,
- 2:52:26but now it got so quick you could have anything you dreamed of in
- 2:52:31a day. And with a click, we noticed families had stopped talking.
- 2:52:37That's not to say they never spoke, but the meaning must have melted,
- 2:52:41and the work life balance broke, and the children's eyes grew square, and
- 2:52:46every toddler had a phone. They filtered out the imperfections, but amidst the
- 2:52:52noise, they felt alone. And every day the skies grew thicker till you
- 2:52:58couldn't see the stars. So we flew in planes to find them, while
- 2:53:01down below we filled our cars. We'd drive around all day in circles.
- 2:53:07We'd forgotten how to run. We swapped the grasp of tarmac, shrunk the
- 2:53:11parks till there were none. We filled the sea with plastic because our waist
- 2:53:18was never capped until each day when you went fishing, you'd pull them out
- 2:53:22already wrapped. And while we drank and smoked and gamboled, our leaders taught
- 2:53:28us why it's best to not upset the lobbies. More convenient did I.
- 2:53:37But then in twenty twenty a the virus came our way. The governments reacted
- 2:53:43and told us all to hide away. But while we all were hidden amidst
- 2:53:48the fear, and all the while the people dusted off their instincts, they
- 2:53:54remembered how to smile. They started clapping to say thank you, and calling
- 2:53:58up their mums. And while the car keys gathered dust, they would look
- 2:54:03forward to their runs. And with the skies less full of voyagers, the
- 2:54:07earth began to breathe, and the beaches bore new wildlife that scuttled off into
- 2:54:11the seas. Some people started dancing, some were singing, some were baking.
- 2:54:18We'd grown so used to bad news, but some good news was in
- 2:54:22the making, And so when we found the cure and were allowed to go
- 2:54:26outside, we all preferred the world we found to the one we'd left behind.
- 2:54:33Old habits became extinct and they made way for the new, and every
- 2:54:37simple act of kindness was now given its due. But why did it take
- 2:54:43a virus to bring the people back together? Well, sometimes you've got to
- 2:54:46get sick, my boy, before you start feeling better. Now, lie
- 2:54:52down and dream of tomorrow and all the things that we can do, And
- 2:54:56who knows, if you dream hard enough, maybe some of them will come
- 2:55:00true. We now call it the great realization. And yes, since then
- 2:55:05there have been many But that's the story of how it started and why hindsight's
- 2:55:11twenty twenty. Because if you look at the camera, they know someone's filming
- 2:55:20It's it's as they can see you exactly. If you look at the camera,
- 2:55:24they know someone's filming it. Okay, back, lie back town.
- 2:55:26Wait, can I just practice right now? Yes. Tom Foley put it
- 2:55:35well when he said we've grown so used to bad news, but some good
- 2:55:39news was in the making. Tom also showed us where the beach is born
- 2:55:45more wildlife is coming up from the sea. Here's a co host, an
- 2:55:50animal lover, Alexandra Manzano, with a beautiful example of just that. Hi,
- 2:55:58my name is Alexander's. I've been involved with good news for many,
- 2:56:01many years, especially in the International Day of Peace and Earth and Water Day
- 2:56:07events in Times Square. Now here's a video clip of my turtle, Alexi,
- 2:56:13who believes in peace, loves nature and of course water. Oh,
- 2:56:18you know, nature and I are inseparable. She's really exploring now. Before
- 2:56:28she was fine with just doing for something. It's searching for something, you
- 2:56:31know, wonder what she's something. You know we already know. Alexi wanted
- 2:56:37to come and have a nice conversation with me a little closer, but I
- 2:56:39don't want to get so close. Very nice. That's a good shot.
- 2:56:45There's a lot you can make prints from the video. You don't have time
- 2:56:50to make still focus might be stuck for something. It's very smart that Alexandra
- 2:57:09really was Alexi. I know for a long time. She's taking such nice
- 2:57:16care of Alexei. And listen, thank you, thank you, Andrew,
- 2:57:20Andrew that that's a great piece. That's so important. Look at some of
- 2:57:24the opportunities that video games have and to think that over these pasts, I
- 2:57:33don't know, three, four or five years, it just keeps growing and
- 2:57:35growing. And I really do believe that COVID has had an impact on why
- 2:57:41that is. So, I sure know that I Harvey went out. So
- 2:57:45what do you do? You got to do something in your own home and
- 2:57:50communications? I mean, everybody has a zoom life and has made a Zoom
- 2:57:54life for themselves or whatever other you know technologies. There's other ones that are
- 2:58:00out there as well. Google Groups, Microsoft I think has one, and
- 2:58:05a lot of good companies. Well, we have great, great, great,
- 2:58:07great innovation. Let's all use it for good, for peace, all
- 2:58:11right, far okay, So thank you Andrew, Thank you Tom Foolery.
- 2:58:20I love that piece. It's so positive and uplifting based upon a concerning time
- 2:58:28that we all have lived through and we'll never forget and has affected our lives.
- 2:58:33COVID worldwide, COVID, and there still is disease around us, right.
- 2:58:39The flu we've done shows we have so much health and wellness. We
- 2:58:43put on one earlier with the Bristol Myers squib BMS and about heart concerns,
- 2:58:54and we have for like thirty percent of WII Show six thousand shows our Health
- 2:59:01and wellness. Because health and wellness is important. Pharmaceutical companies are important.
- 2:59:05We want to emphasize them. Not in thirty seconds, not in sixty seconds,
- 2:59:13not in a commercial format only nothing wrong with commercials. We want to
- 2:59:20talk to the people and find out more. And so we take on that
- 2:59:24interview for seven minutes, ten minutes. I can talk to these people longer
- 2:59:28than our other hosts that we have. As you see, we have some
- 2:59:31good hosts. No so lucky. All right, back to our show.
- 2:59:39But Tom Foolery, thank you so much. That's a magnificent Tom also has
- 2:59:43books. Go to the bookstore and get some of Tom's book. What we're
- 2:59:46going to do now is since I love nature. Actually I was helpful,
- 2:59:52they say, in creating the Nature series on PPS when it started on Channel
- 2:59:56thirteen. The research and found that opening shot. But the first one was
- 3:00:01in Steton Beach, U, California. I as Stinson Beach. I didn't
- 3:00:07say properly that first place I saw Russell not Brussell, bean sprouts in my
- 3:00:13plate. And on New Yorker he said, what are these things? They
- 3:00:16were growing in my plate? Down? Okay, we went on the top
- 3:00:22of seton beach Mount tom I think Mount Ham with Donald Johansson, and we
- 3:00:28started who found Lucy anthropololile anthropologist? And then George Page took the show Nature,
- 3:00:35Nature, Watch Nature on PBS. Okay, watch Nature on PBS.
- 3:00:41That's all I can say. It is a beautiful watch those nature shows.
- 3:00:46Animals and us are people, Lexi, Alexi, Alexandra, We're all in
- 3:00:52this together. The fact look under the word DNA and through Watson and Creek
- 3:00:56and Rosalind Frank. Let's not forget her. She's the way. Maybe that
- 3:01:00worked with those two gentlemen they named I believed the Chicago Science School after her
- 3:01:07realized that the tree has similar DNA is Remember for an aspen, it's the
- 3:01:13bark of a weeping willow. So if you have a headache, bite a
- 3:01:20weeping willow bar tree. No, no, don't do that. In fact,
- 3:01:24any medical advice, talk to your doctor. I think in that interview
- 3:01:28earlier on with the Bristol Myers, you see that if I stub my toe,
- 3:01:31I talked to my doctor. All right, you do what you gotta
- 3:01:35do, get an annual checkout. Do all right, back to our story
- 3:01:37here talking about animals and plants. I'm going to throw into because that was
- 3:01:43a little lawn there with Alexi and um, we love them, and I'll
- 3:01:50tell you what else we love. I'm in a guard funk. They got
- 3:01:54a storm that's really powerful and it's about a sparrow. Get their album and
- 3:02:01listen to all the music that they have. I've been listening to it.
- 3:02:05Trillian zillioneers and the words. It's poetry in motion and poetry in brain thoughts.
- 3:02:11Okay, and guess what after? Simon and Garfunkle were going right to
- 3:02:16a gentleman who was kind enough to create a piece for us for our International
- 3:02:20Day piece September twenty first event, Jesse Colin Young, who was with a
- 3:02:26group the Young Bloods, and the song was called get together. All right,
- 3:02:31let's hear some music. A little sparrow, who's jell fun Christ for
- 3:03:00as to the oak tree, I won't share my branches with no sparrow's nest,
- 3:03:09and my blanket of leaves won't warm a cold brand who lovely little sparrow,
- 3:03:26and who will speed a kindly word? Not ask to the swan.
- 3:03:39The entire ideas suddenly absurd. I'd be laughed at and scorned if the other
- 3:03:46swan's heard, And who take pity in his heart? And who will be
- 3:04:09a starving sparrow not ask of the golden wheat? I would if I could,
- 3:04:20but I cannot. I know I need all my grain to prosper and
- 3:04:26crow, who loving little sparrow? Will no one rude for you? Ji,
- 3:04:50I will say, the earth for all I've created, returns unto me.
- 3:05:00Dost worry, may and dusty shall be my friends. There is no
- 3:05:22peace without love. Love is the way love is. But a song we
- 3:05:39sing is the way we die. We can make the mountains ring. I'll
- 3:05:52make the ange just cry for the Verdi song. Who ween we may not
- 3:06:05hunt? Know? Why? Come on people to have smile only brother,
- 3:06:15everybody and gets the child, love one another right out. If you hear
- 3:06:31a song we sing, you are Nurstanksten. We hold the kids who love
- 3:06:45him far all in our tramer hand, just one key, and must them
- 3:06:56both stare at your comme. Come on, people, now smile on you
- 3:07:09brother. Everybody gets you against. Try to love want of nothing right now?
- 3:07:20Come on people, having smile you bother, everybody gets you again.
- 3:07:26Try to love want of nothing right now I said, come on people,
- 3:07:35happy, smile on joy, everybody gets together, try to love. Wanting
- 3:07:43nothing right now, right now, right now, all right, thank you,
- 3:08:03so many people to thank here. I'll go right back to Andrew into
- 3:08:07It, Thmfoolery and Alexandra and so what else do we ask for? I
- 3:08:13know what we can ask for. We can ask for more stuff. Jesse
- 3:08:18Collin Young sang about get together, unified unifying. Well, we've partnered with
- 3:08:24an organization called Unify and they've been very successful. They have a big audience
- 3:08:30for important events, meditation events, unify yoga events worldwide, and I suggest
- 3:08:39them they are another great organization. What we suggesting lots of organizations. We're
- 3:08:43collaborative, we're not exclusive. Are exclusive. Somebody wants our content, let
- 3:08:52me know you can have it, to use it, all right. We
- 3:08:56want to promote the good in the world. That's our dedication for twenty six
- 3:09:00years. In fact, there's one out there, good News Network. I
- 3:09:03gave him their url no charge. Okay, who cares? And look at
- 3:09:11our happy face. I love that. Nineteen ninety eight we created a trademark
- 3:09:16for a happy face and you can see earlier on I think we had it
- 3:09:20in our some of the colors of humanity a little controversial issue now days,
- 3:09:26but those were just as far as the thoughts. A red face, a
- 3:09:33yellow, brown, a black, and a white and every shade of Okay,
- 3:09:41we only want loving piece, that's the thought, all right. So
- 3:09:45why were my talking? That's a good question. Unified UNIFI had some years
- 3:09:50ago for the Peace Day and the International Day of piece. They had two
- 3:09:52billion views. That's a lot of use, okay for a piece. It
- 3:09:56was, as they say, as Tamus Carla says to me, you know,
- 3:10:00the stars were aligned then a little bit pre covid Ish people are looking
- 3:10:05for that. So they broadcasting our Earth Day and Peace Day events here in
- 3:10:11New York and around the world, and they've given us a piece of video
- 3:10:16from their organization that I'm going to share with you. And let me just
- 3:10:22say at this moment, you know, today is Earth Day, April twenty
- 3:10:26seconds, all right, and we just passed on March twenty second World Water
- 3:10:31Day, which I talked about earlier. Water Day is very important and we've
- 3:10:37been involved with many shows, and Earth Day is very important as well.
- 3:10:43I would give some due respect to John McConnell, who was one of the
- 3:10:46original conceivers of an Earth Day out of San Francisco, and the day was
- 3:10:52going to be during the March twenty second the equonots. I believe that it's
- 3:10:58called I think you can stand and ache on the ground and it'll stand up
- 3:11:05north and south. The hemispheres. All right, well, talking about hemispheres,
- 3:11:09Can I get this this hugger planet. We're gonna go to a hundred
- 3:11:13good planets. I'm gonna knock over things talking about hemispheres, the hemisphere.
- 3:11:22Okay, I love this huggle planet, and I love Robert Friends who gives
- 3:11:28us the Hugger planet to use. Let's hug it. Let's use it for
- 3:11:31conflict resolution, which he does is the South America and the North America.
- 3:11:37Okay, back to our show. We're selling him all right, back to
- 3:11:43our show. Let's see something from UNIFI. And UNIFI has a ton of
- 3:11:48content and a ton of relationships, and we'll be sharing them on our show,
- 3:11:54and we'll be sharing our Peace Day activities, Earth Day and Water Day
- 3:11:58activities as well. So stay tuned to hear. All right, let's hear
- 3:12:01from a beautiful piece by a Unified there's some job you doing, Jumbo jewels
- 3:12:24or yeah there saying wonder talk, un the leaks stalk, darkness night.
- 3:12:37Anybody knows that the people have the power. All we have to do is
- 3:12:41awaken the power and the people. I have committed myself for the promotion off
- 3:12:48piece of the company in a piece it's ultimate. So it's been another time
- 3:12:58I'm brother people, and again came to doubt the people have taken to the
- 3:13:07streets and the show how unheady day are with the state of democracy. Okay,
- 3:14:31thanks Unify for your important work. I'll throw one more shout out there
- 3:14:35to Andrew Alexandra Alexi. So I'm in a guard funcle Jesse Collin Young.
- 3:14:43It's all good and Unify a lot of good people doing good things. So
- 3:14:50I have a little situation here in regard to a next door neighbor who has
- 3:14:54been dear to me for many years, Chris Johnson and Chris Kennedy. So
- 3:15:01sorry, I know someone else then, unction of other times happen. You
- 3:15:05mess up a name. It's terrible. I learned early on your name is
- 3:15:09what someoney are. So I share my voibeles that I do name somehow,
- 3:15:15because I know there's so important. Sometimes I screw them up, and I
- 3:15:18don't want to do that. A fact, let me mention everybody who's watching
- 3:15:20that, Okay, all right, So based upon this fact is that Chris
- 3:15:26Kennedy, who is my next door neighbor, said gentleman, turned the pianos
- 3:15:31for the Metropolitan, And Chris Kennedy has an adjoining backyard to me, and
- 3:15:39he has plans coming over into my backyard that make my backyard even more spectacular
- 3:15:48and next year love my little backyard here and in the city. So h
- 3:15:54and some of his plans they go on for one hundred feet from my backyard
- 3:16:00backyard of the big building next door nature, okay, and so we love
- 3:16:05nature, and I loved Chris. He passed away recently, sadly prostate cancer.
- 3:16:13Okay. So we've done many shows in prostate cancer. We did it
- 3:16:20with Milliken. We've done lots of shows with and his organization. But we
- 3:16:24did lots of shows also Sam Laxman on earlier about that, and so many
- 3:16:28cancer stories. This cancer is a problem we need to resolve and figure out
- 3:16:33how it happens, and so many different kinds of cancer. It's exhausting.
- 3:16:39But in any case, we lost a good friend and just so happens.
- 3:16:46I Our car, our company car that I have, will be fifty years
- 3:16:50old next year. Old is a Volkswagen Bug convertible. We've actually used it
- 3:16:54in parades, okay, many many a parade this has as it has occurred,
- 3:17:01and I will even say that one of the praise was destroyment. They
- 3:17:05parade and then mister president ex president, former president Donald Trump was the chairperson.
- 3:17:11Okay. I asked him what his good news wasn't He shared some as
- 3:17:13well, the chillies and Salvation Army and some of the good things he did.
- 3:17:20This was a long time and so our little Volkswagen Bug that you see
- 3:17:26here is beautiful. I love my bug because it's a happy car and we
- 3:17:31bring people into us. And I'm not saying any politics here. I'm just
- 3:17:39saying life, Okay, my life. And so I'm walking down the street
- 3:17:43and I see a beautiful bug, a newer bug, and I start a
- 3:17:48conversation with this guy and his name is Tim Nichols, and he tells me
- 3:17:52that he was and his Chris is good buddy, okay, and that's beautiful
- 3:18:01because deserves good buddies. And he's always had some show biz crowd there in
- 3:18:05the backyard, which is great. New York is magnificent, and the example
- 3:18:15of New York is everybody basically living together. It's the test for the whole
- 3:18:20wide world. At PSP, the crossroads of the world Times Square is that
- 3:18:24we don't have deadline every day. We have a few people who are met
- 3:18:28leo. But the big picture is that six million people come into the city
- 3:18:33as in other cities, and there's peace. Okay, so let's think peaceful.
- 3:18:37Let's change the mindset from fear. Okay, let's think positively. Now,
- 3:18:45life and death also has its think positively or sadly and all the kinds
- 3:18:50of things. I usually I'm an interfaith minister, reverend ordained all faiths and
- 3:18:56spiritual that show my picture. For the fun of it, Hey, I
- 3:19:00can marry anybody out there or do an event that I'll be happy to do
- 3:19:05it as my gift. So mister Tim tells me this, I say,
- 3:19:13well, you know, we shared that backyard. He goes, I said,
- 3:19:16do you want to go see it? He came in the backyard,
- 3:19:18I thought, and we had a conversation. So let's let's in due respect
- 3:19:24to Chris Kennedy a life and death I did want to say that I send
- 3:19:31out all the time. In the death scenario, Saint Francis of the CC's
- 3:19:37piece Bolt Uh it says even in death, to be strong basically, and
- 3:19:45we don't know what's next. This is I will say, we're gonna have
- 3:19:48a lot of spirituality here because we don't know what was before and we don't
- 3:19:52know what's after. You can have your own thoughts and your own opinion.
- 3:19:58I'm gonna reincarnation that guy because he sounds like more fun, more time.
- 3:20:03In any case, that's your thought. God, bless you whatever you want
- 3:20:07to think of, as long as no one's bunching anybody in the nose.
- 3:20:11Enjoy. In the English we say zigas that's a Jewish word, a disenter
- 3:20:16faith minister, Okay, it's didn't. Let's go in good health and we
- 3:20:20only want good health and happiness and well and wealth and wealth is not only
- 3:20:24financial. Wealth is in health and prosperity, in love in your life.
- 3:20:30Okay, let's go to Tim and here what he has to say. Actually,
- 3:20:33I've just had a great experience that I'm still having with Nickels. Nice
- 3:20:41to have me. So I met Tim. He has a little Volkswagon,
- 3:20:46a newer Volkswagon than our our seventy five, nineteen seventy five Volkswagon, And
- 3:20:52I said, I got a seventy five Volkswagon. Somehow we got in the
- 3:21:00conversation. Tim is a wonderful guy. What a great spirit, and he
- 3:21:05shared with me. So you know, you all know I make a lot
- 3:21:07of shows back here in my backyard and spiritual. Look how beautiful the world
- 3:21:13is we have snow here in New York. I did a one hundred and
- 3:21:18twenty during COVID, and I have a great neighbor Chris Johnson, Right Kennedy,
- 3:21:24Chris Kennedy. I don't know why I said that. In any case,
- 3:21:28Tim is his buddy and for many years I just learned. And though
- 3:21:35he did share some sad news with me, right that Chris is passed away
- 3:21:43on December twenty ninth. What was it about Christopher that you love so much?
- 3:21:46Oh, I'm sure you could write them book. I know that's absolutely
- 3:21:50true. Yeah, Christopher opened my eyes to the world in so many ways.
- 3:21:56I've actually known him since nineteen eighty. I was a kid when I
- 3:22:01met Christopher, and he introduced me to New York City and just into his
- 3:22:07amazing life and friends and his joy for living. Finally maybe and what is
- 3:22:18its twenty four fifteen, twenty years ago or something like that. I got
- 3:22:24this time. I left a message and I say, I don't know if
- 3:22:26you even remember me, but and he called back almost immediately and said,
- 3:22:30of course I remember you. And then we sort of, you know,
- 3:22:35restarted our relationship and became enormously close. And I just love him all right,
- 3:22:58Tim, thanks so much for shure going in your above for your buddy.
- 3:23:03He's a he's a great man, and we both we both agree.
- 3:23:09Now here's a funny guy. You know, we've already had Ray Romano and
- 3:23:13Rosie O'Donnell. Anybody who are here of Adam Sandler. I like Adam Sandler.
- 3:23:18I think Adam Sandler is super And I'll be honest with you. One
- 3:23:22time we met down at Sandler at the Knicks game. Okay, we ran
- 3:23:26over and so and said alone, why I like him is because his movies
- 3:23:35one either make me laugh, or two they make me cry, or three
- 3:23:41they teach me something are four He's well respected, and he supports his buddies
- 3:23:50seem like they're always in his movies. And he shows due respect to others.
- 3:23:58He was just given the Mark Twain Prize. I know he's giving him
- 3:24:03my friends show the Okay, MC Film Awards and People's Choice. It's a
- 3:24:07big year for mister Adam Sandler. So come a little bit from ifield I
- 3:24:13did from his acceptance speech for the Mark Twain Award, and then let's go
- 3:24:18to a happy gil More just for kicks. Okay, here we go.
- 3:24:22Hey, no, thank you all love you, thank you, thank you,
- 3:24:31thank you, thank you, all right, thank you, all right,
- 3:24:35thank you all appreciate Okay, well, thank you. That was This
- 3:24:46is a nice feeling, and thank you. I love you and I appreciate
- 3:24:50it. So here we go. Hello. My name is Adam's handler,
- 3:24:54and I am in the twenty twenty three Mark Twain Humor Prize Award recipient for
- 3:25:00greatness and American funny and bringing the thunder his belly laugh to the sweet people
- 3:25:03of planet Earth. Can I get a hell yeah to all my amazing buddies
- 3:25:13who spoke earlier tonight. Thank you from the deepest part of my heart.
- 3:25:18The whole time I was listening to you, I was filled with gratitude that
- 3:25:22the original people the Kennedy Center asked to come, couldn't make it. Nicholson,
- 3:25:28Hoffmin Paccino all had prior dinner reservation that they could not cancel. And
- 3:25:37as you guys babbled on and on about me, I couldn't help but think
- 3:25:41the hell with ratings and talent. You guys are my real friend to my
- 3:25:50family who all flew in from New Hampshire in Florida to watch me get this
- 3:25:54award. Yes, I will pay for your hotel rooms, but you gotta
- 3:26:01pay for your own incidentals. Mother, how many pistachios can one woman?
- 3:26:09He all right, I'm kidding. I love you. I'm gonna drop the
- 3:26:15voice and tell some try to speak normal. And I feel bad. I've
- 3:26:20been making jokes about my mother for many years, but she is a great
- 3:26:24lady, and I'm sorry if any of them ever hurt your feelings. Mom.
- 3:26:26All right, So honestly, I've had an amazing life. I'll tell
- 3:26:30you what kind of led me to this night. I come from a great
- 3:26:33family, a sweet, beautiful, funny, incredible, caring, loving mother
- 3:26:39who played me Barbara Treizan Johnny Mathis. I had as cool as it gets,
- 3:26:45badass, funny, ponytailed dad who sang me Johnny Cash and Johnny Ray.
- 3:26:50And he showed me the Marx Brothers, Jerry Lewis, Jackie Gleeson.
- 3:26:54Whenever they were on he called me into the room. Four hundred years,
- 3:26:58golf has been a gentleman game, a game of tradition, etiquette and above
- 3:27:03all sportsmanship until now me happy Gilmore. He was a hockey player. Baby,
- 3:27:16don't you ever touch my puck who was skated on the ice. But
- 3:27:20when his grandma needed his help, missus Gilmour owes the irs two hundred and
- 3:27:26seventy thousand dollars. We're gonna have to sell the house to someone else.
- 3:27:28But she's an old lady. I mean, look at her, she's old.
- 3:27:33He discovered a new talent. I was like four hundredards away. That's
- 3:27:37unbelievable. No, he's going from the links. That's right up, Bons.
- 3:27:41If you can out drive the amazing golf ball worker guy to the links,
- 3:27:48are you going on those clubs? Bunk Caddy, He's gonna be on
- 3:27:50the tour. That's that's super. He's got the swing, he's got the
- 3:27:56drives. This, he's got all the balls. I've hurt a little bit.
- 3:28:03Amara. What a large and economically diverse crowd. You're invitational. I
- 3:28:07guess it's the new tour sensation. Happy Gilmore. Hey, if I saw
- 3:28:11myself in clothes like those that have to kick my own ass. And while
- 3:28:15he's trying to keep Granny out of the rest home, I'm telling you that
- 3:28:18this place is perfect. You're gonna make friends in no time. He's driving
- 3:28:26the game of golf. Didn't you just go home? That's your home?
- 3:28:31Are you too good for your home? To me? Straight into the ground?
- 3:28:35Damn you people, this is dope. I got burker looks like you
- 3:28:39and I are going to be playing together today. Oh, this guy sucks.
- 3:28:43All right, let's go who Universal Pictures presents Adam Sandler. The price
- 3:28:48is wrong, bobus Golf's missing late Happy Gilmore, All right, listen,
- 3:29:03we've switched the slide a little bit. Tour back to our good news broadcast
- 3:29:09of which this is a channel of and we have created over the years,
- 3:29:15tons and tons of content, as I said seventeen thousand times. But besides
- 3:29:20that, some of the kinds of work that we have done and been honored
- 3:29:24to do is multicultural marketing and media and creating content for the different various ethnic
- 3:29:33communities here in America, and actually initially back in eighty five when I worked
- 3:29:39at the city station WNYC. They had all kinds of programming from the Italians,
- 3:29:45from the Chinese, and the Spanish, and the Polish and the Russians
- 3:29:48and everybody else. And I love that, and I took the job because
- 3:29:54I eventually wanted to share the goodness of the world to the world. And
- 3:30:00I know by doing good things with the world and with the media of the
- 3:30:03world, or with anybody, especially if you make the money, which I
- 3:30:09did a lot of money because I somehow was doing multicultural marketing in eighty five
- 3:30:15and I got Sprint. I'd bem with im Union, a whole bunch of
- 3:30:18clients, Postal Service, just great companies to work with, Delta Airlines,
- 3:30:24and we did a big research study. In essence, some people feel with
- 3:30:28our research study with Saint John's we broke the agent market by coming up and
- 3:30:33doing a syndicated study with Sprint. Sprint was a big client for many years,
- 3:30:39the Postal Service and the Jay Walter Thompson and ad agency. So we
- 3:30:41would buy the media we represented and we made deals relationships let's call them,
- 3:30:48to sell the media of all the multicultural communities. Fascinating stuff. I loved
- 3:30:52it. They took me out to a lot of restaurants, all different kinds
- 3:30:54of ethnicity food. And I'm a one world guy, So what the heck?
- 3:31:01I grew up in the house that you want to reach my mother.
- 3:31:03You put an ad in the Hungarian of which I'm a European Hungarian Jewish guy,
- 3:31:09and our Jewish paper you put in Hungarian paper whatever, and my mom
- 3:31:13and family would read those that media. So it's it's a marketing idea.
- 3:31:16It's not a it's not anything more than in that sense a respect to in
- 3:31:22marketing concept. And that's how I approached it and continue to approach it in
- 3:31:28that manner. You want to put an ad through a certain community or geographically
- 3:31:33sometimes living close to each other. It's a great way to do marketing.
- 3:31:37Ethnic marketing, multicultural marketing. It's it's become a big business. But we
- 3:31:41decided to continue on with it, but move it into our good news broadcast
- 3:31:46with different ethnic programming. So we have good news China, good news,
- 3:31:52Japan, good news, Germany, France, India. We've got a lot.
- 3:32:00We'll have more because there's good news all over the world. That's the
- 3:32:03good news. Okay. So getting back to our show, we're going to
- 3:32:09have a section in our show called Multicultural, and our first multicultural one since
- 3:32:18we've had a long relationship and just had the Chinese are not the Chinese the
- 3:32:22Lunar New Year. In fact, you're Austin show, the Austin He's the
- 3:32:28greatest, working me sixteen years. He is the greatest and the kindest Austin
- 3:32:35show. The Lunar New Year's stamp. We helped do the marketing for that.
- 3:32:39Lunar New Year is celebrated by many many people in the Asian community,
- 3:32:48and this is the first Lunar New Years you can go in if you might
- 3:32:52be, can go to the post office today and go buy something. All
- 3:32:54right. It's been a big seller which helped sell a lot of them and
- 3:32:58along with sposal service. So our first little multicultural segment is going to be
- 3:33:05with Murphy. I love her name, Murphy Dington. And Murphy has been
- 3:33:13kind enough to a very successful lady for her international interviews with presidents and ambassadors,
- 3:33:20and she's well sought after for the Chinese events to host them or English
- 3:33:26is beautiful in their Chinese as well. And she has a lot of gusto
- 3:33:31and you'll see that now. And so Murphy will introduce which is pretty serious
- 3:33:39here because it was in our Peace Day activity Michael Jackson, No, not
- 3:33:43the Michael Jackson, but w Jackson, who's a personator for Chinese personator for
- 3:33:52Michael Jackson. All right, let me introduce you to Murphy Ding and we'll
- 3:33:58take it from there. All right, go for it. My name is
- 3:34:01Murphy Dune. For over twenty four years, our non profit news Corporation,
- 3:34:07along with one thousand plus partners, have created what we have called post the
- 3:34:13World for Peace, Earth and Water Day events. They have been major six
- 3:34:20hour special TV nine percasts in Central Park and Times Square, New York and
- 3:34:26around the world. These percuss chothened the massac for the United Nations and the
- 3:34:33National Day for Peace on September twenty one, and Earth Day on April seconds
- 3:34:39twenty seconds and the Water Day on March twenty seconds. The Peace Day events
- 3:34:46were unanimously approved by one hundred and ninety three countries in the United Nations and
- 3:34:52over one point six billion people are aware of the day. According to mckinsin
- 3:34:58Corporation, we were now watched the leading Chinese performance artist for Michael Jackson,
- 3:35:05whose name is w Jackson. He performed Michael Jackson's worldwide Kids Fill the Worlds
- 3:35:13where he was in China, even starting his performance on the Great World.
- 3:35:18The performance was breakcast worldwide and our twenty twenty three International Days of Peace Concerts
- 3:35:26in Times Square and was dedicated to friendship between China, America and the worlds.
- 3:35:35And that's what his performance. Think about the generations and to say,
- 3:36:26we want to make it a better place for our children and our children's children
- 3:36:30so that they they they know it's a better world for them. You think
- 3:36:37they can make it a better place. There's a place in your heart and
- 3:36:50I know that it is not the best. Rather than jump up, and
- 3:36:58if you be tried, you'll find there's no need to cry explace. If
- 3:37:05there's no bird or soil, there are ways to get there. If you
- 3:37:13care enough for the living, make a little space, make a better kill
- 3:37:24the get a better place for you of me and be time you imprans thereby
- 3:37:37if you care enough, make a better place for again for me. They
- 3:37:48came on to know why there's a love that can at night not a strong
- 3:37:56you know he cares for joyful game. We try. You'll see in this
- 3:38:03bliss we cannot feel every thread stuff existing and starting, and feels that always
- 3:38:16not enough folks growing big world world they give a place for you and of
- 3:38:31me and being tiding and prints thereby being wide they be can not go an
- 3:38:41extent place fucking for me and the dream we want see in the war with
- 3:38:50little joyful face and the world one will shine again in grace. Then whet
- 3:39:01strangling me sparts by its soul. Those plane to see this one's head.
- 3:39:09He got floe it so high and our spirits never die in my heart?
- 3:39:18Do you are my brothers? You know no fear? Together we'll cry happy
- 3:39:28teams listen to name she's turned their swords into plashing. We were there.
- 3:39:39Did you care enough for the bill, make a little spain to make a
- 3:39:45bot of plans? You maybe get a better place? Are you cry?
- 3:39:56And targument rates thereby it became an take the place, fucking and fing you
- 3:40:15better than SI based place for you? Ye oot the Hey Murphy, thanks
- 3:41:09so much, Okay, Michael Jackson, come on the other world. We
- 3:41:15also had on that stage Genie and Charles Sullivan on our Peace Day stage in
- 3:41:22Times Square on September twenty first. Please put a calendar note for April twenty
- 3:41:31second birthday. I put in March twenty second for World Water Day and September
- 3:41:37twenty first because then at twelve noon we want to pause the world. One
- 3:41:41hundred ninety three countries are evolt. We talked about it earlier. I'm going
- 3:41:46to talk about it again because this is our mission. We want to take
- 3:41:48a moment of silence for peace, and the way we've been doing it.
- 3:41:56I want to make sure that Charles Sullivan gets his due. He brought the
- 3:42:00Michael Heal the World tour around the world and he was on the stage along
- 3:42:03with Genie, and Genie helped to get that to happen with w Jackson on
- 3:42:09the Great the Great Wall there in China. So we are going to now
- 3:42:18show a little bit of our Peace Day activities. You know, we've been
- 3:42:22fortunate enough, as you saw earlier something about Michael Douglas in which Michael basically
- 3:42:31did good and with the family he wanted an awar and and that was beautiful.
- 3:42:37Another gentleman who's a peace messenger is Ringo Starr. And so we want
- 3:42:45to show you a little bit of Michael Douglas shares these with the U n
- 3:42:50Peace messengers, you know, starting the UN day a moment for the International
- 3:42:58Day of Peace, and then Ringo gives us listen to Ringo as a twelve
- 3:43:03noon, We're going to continue on showing that forever and ever until from always.
- 3:43:09That's it. But our prayer is that a twelve noon we take a
- 3:43:13moment of silence for peace, and that that moment is not a moment,
- 3:43:18that moment is forever and ever. Okay, let's go to Michael Douglas and
- 3:43:24Ringo Star. Thank you. You're watching the Peace Stag Global Internet broadcasts celebrating
- 3:43:30the United Nations International Day of Peace. The Peace Stag Global Internet broadcast promotes
- 3:43:37the United Nations it's agencies, funds and programs around the world working for peace,
- 3:43:43the environment, human rights, and social and economic justice. Okay,
- 3:43:50peace and love, everybody, Peace and love. Yes, my name is
- 3:43:54Ringo and I'm here to make you aware on the twenty first, off sept
- 3:44:01it's the International Day and Moments of Peace. So I'm here on behalf of
- 3:44:07the UN General Secretary to let you know that at noon on the twenty first
- 3:44:15that we can have a moment of silence for peace. I'm going to have
- 3:44:20my moment now. Ooh, I feel good, peace and love everybody.
- 3:44:28Hello again, all your good news fans. In addition to Michael Douglas and
- 3:44:33Ringo Starr, let's hear from other UN Peace Messengers of the United Nations share
- 3:44:39his thoughts about peace. Leonardo DiCaprio. The word piece has many possible meanings,
- 3:44:48and the Messenger of Peace program has been vital to addressing some of the
- 3:44:52most pressing challenges of our time head on poverty, disease, human suffering issues
- 3:45:01which defy the very concept of peace. Hey, thanks Chris Breslin. That
- 3:45:07Chris Reslan. He's a great fun he's a great guy and actually he's I
- 3:45:11don't know if I said enough about him that he was a wonderful actor and
- 3:45:16successful businessman. He comes from a family Jimmy Bresilent and his dad, and
- 3:45:22it's very respectful to his dad and his dad's accomplishments. One of the greatest
- 3:45:28writers in the world. He told me it was Johnny Carson like ten times.
- 3:45:33And he's done a lot, a lot of different things. Friends with
- 3:45:37Kennedy's just I'm a magnificent, man, historic and in many in many respects.
- 3:45:43So based upon that, we're going to close out this show now can
- 3:45:48you believe that? I can't? And then after this you're gonna have so
- 3:45:52many other more shows that are just super duper. So we're lucky. So
- 3:45:58thanks Chris, Yes, and thanks Leonardo. You know that Leonardo another do
- 3:46:05gooder in this world. I'm so happy to have the chance to share that
- 3:46:09message. It's a serious message that Leonardo has to share because there's problems out
- 3:46:16there and we got to face them as well. Okay, but if we
- 3:46:20stick together, all we are is what we are with each other. That's
- 3:46:24the motto of good News. All we are is what we are with each
- 3:46:28other. And some people say and are for each other. Okay, let's
- 3:46:33be that way. We talked about unifying, we talked about my heroes,
- 3:46:37We talked about a lot of good things and a lot of good people doing
- 3:46:41a lot of good things. So what else could we ask for. We're
- 3:46:43giving it our best, our best shot. Here next up, Yes,
- 3:46:48Monk Okay, the loneliest Monk's son. Yes, he has great stories.
- 3:46:52I'll tell you that right. He's an educator. They grew up here in
- 3:46:54the Harlem area with some of the greatest jazz entertainers of the the coultrans of
- 3:47:00the world. And his dad is legendary, and he knows the people that
- 3:47:07he's going to introduce and the people he's going to introduce Stevie Wonder and Shakira.
- 3:47:16They're serious. All right, hey, let and I'm crazy about that.
- 3:47:20T. S. Monk. All these people that we know are on
- 3:47:22good News. They're in podcast form as well, so and longer interviews.

- 3:47:31thoughts. All right, let's go to t. S. Thanks Paul.

- 3:49:13to strive to be happy and healthy and safe. Now is the time to
- 3:49:20not just imagine, but do. This is for Island Courdi and Gallip Courdi.
- 3:49:39Imagine this no heaven. It's easy few try the most above us only
- 3:50:03scd imagine. Not for people living far to day. Imagine there's no countries.

- 3:53:22is living in peace. Pat I usually wear Imagine Piece, but I lost
- 3:53:26the plan and the Yoko had given to us at another Piece Piece event that
- 3:53:31we did in a church on Christopher Street here and now. But the important
- 3:53:35thing is be peaceful, stay peaceful, and be kind and work together.
- 3:53:43We found this another user generated segment here. It's gonna be a little imagination
- 3:53:48of imagine using animation. Okay, and then we're just gonna go right to
- 3:53:56Louis Armstrong, who has has a lot to say, as we all know,
- 3:54:03what a wonderful world? All right, positive upbeat, go go go,
- 3:54:07go go go. All right, let's see that animation's only sky.
- 3:54:16Imagine all the people living all imagine there is no country, it's all to
- 3:54:37do, nothing, to kill, all die, no religion, to imagine,
- 3:54:56all being more living lifeving me you missing. I'm a dreamer, but
- 3:55:15I'm not the only one. I hope somebody you join up and the world.
- 3:55:33Some of you young folks been saying to me, Hey, Box,
- 3:55:39what do you mean what a wonderful was? How about all the walls all
- 3:55:45over the place, you call them wonderful? And how about hunger and pollution?
- 3:55:52There ain't so wonderful either. How about listening to old Box for a
- 3:55:58minute. It seems to me it ain't the world that's so bad, but
- 3:56:03what we are doing to it, and all I'm saying, and see what
- 3:56:09a wonderful world it would be if only we'd give it a chance. Love,
- 3:56:16baby, love, that's the secret. Yeah. If lots more of
- 3:56:24us love each other, we'd solve lots more problems. And man, this
- 3:56:33world would be a guess our. That's why Pops keeps saying, I see
- 3:56:48trees so green, red, roses chill. I see them blue following you,
- 3:57:01and I think to myself what I wonder for? I see sky so
- 3:57:16blue, and cloves some white, the bright blessed day, the dark sacod
- 3:57:26night, and I think to myself what I wonder for? The colors of
- 3:57:43the rainbow so pretty in the sky are also on the faces are people going
- 3:57:54by? I see friends shaking it say, and how mad there really?
- 3:58:05Say? I love I hear babes clu. I watched them grow now like
- 3:58:18much more and I never know And I thank you myself what I want about
- 3:58:33h I thank you myself what I want ver Okay, back to the closing
- 3:59:13great animation. Oh my god. Well I'm happy. But it's not about
- 3:59:22me being happy. It's about you, the audience being happy. I learned
- 3:59:26early on it's not about the us, the people on the screen here.
- 3:59:31It's about you feeling good and uppy and that your time was duly respected and
- 3:59:37that you learned something during this time, or you laughter, you had some
- 3:59:43fun during this time, that it was well worth your time. Let's put
- 3:59:46it like that. Okay, today's shows, you're going to see stuff about

- 3:59:56generated that, we got all kinds of shows and we're going to been going

- 4:00:05it appears, and go into like three like eight hour time slot with programming
- 4:00:11at three pm. We're gonna recycle. Recycling is good, reduced we use
- 4:00:16recycling is the key, is the key, one of the keys that Methane
- 4:00:22asked about nine in the Environmental Defense Fund two our com cligment concerns. Okay,
- 4:00:31reduce, reuse, recycle, we just don't need so much. Okay,
- 4:00:35we just don't need so much. Okay, materialistic things. I'm not
- 4:00:41saying lower the economy. We'll figure out their ways, but we just don't
- 4:00:46need so much, all right. So that's what I have to say in
- 4:00:50that regard. Thank you very much. And if you have any content you
