Matthew 16.3 Peter's Declaration That Jesus is the Christ Part 1
Jesus takes the Apostles to Caesarea Philippi and asks, "Who do men say that I am? and But who do you say that I am?" Peter's confession has many parts and we begin to to explore the depth of this exchange between Peter and Jesus. Peter's response is informative and gives us the the seed of the founding of the Church and Peter's office. We explore the hypostatic union of Christ and what that means. We hear from St. Jerome, St. John Chrysostom and St. Hilary.
