  So one of the things that I have enjoyed and very endearing to me is video games.

  And for those people out there listening to this hey listen if you have a little uh,

  how can i say to you a little addiction to video games

  um a form of entertainment just like music just like you consume movies just

  like you consume anything that entertains you video games is that thing Now,

  for the most part, video games,

  unless you go to the arcades,

  you know, for those people, hey, those kids out there that might say,

  what was in an arcade? What's that, an arcade?

  We still got arcades here in New York City, you know what I mean?

  Not that as much as before, but we still got our thing, thing,

  where people go there, spend a lot of quarters,
• 3:39
  dollars, whatever the case, but for the most part, video

  games have been something where you buy
• 3:45
  a console be growing up with the

  nintendo you already know what game i'm gonna be

  playing yeah that's

  the sound of super mario brothers throw a

  little bit out there super mario brothers to me was like that first

  video game i mean i could i could argue

  about pac-man but but but but

  mario was that first home console

  game that be a lot of people enjoy you

  already know we're going to war eight whatever the case might be shortcuts

  we're doing that where we get

  our extra lives we're doing the mushroom we're supposedly

  saving a princess and um you

  know some news came out and i think this is true

  then in reality mario and uh the

  princess peach they never really have

  a romantic thing it just you know mario being

  mario whatever the case might be i don't know you know what and i need a drink

  for that you know what and when i say i drink a little bit of gulp of water

  on that one because that's so interesting i thought we were saving the peach

  but we are saving the peach what does that mean saving the princess what does

  that mean are we gonna get married yeah not necessarily but whatever you know what i mean.

  super mario was to me like that first you know

  for me and we're talking about in

  the early 90s um as i'm

  you know getting older you know i'm 10 11 you know.

  The first console that i've had on my own where

  i could say it's mine because the nintendo that was

  my big brother but the sega genesis

  and for some reason i gravitated to sonic

  that you know even though you know mario's people but

  sorry mario i mean some reason i gravitated to

  that uh little blue headshot you already know
• 5:51
  those rings or whatever the case might be and also

  uh this is the time when i'm enjoying sports more

  and for some reason the sega genesis had

  the better sports title or at least the better

  games you had joe montana sports talk football who could

  give me a hell yeah and holla back at that joe

  people say that they listen uh video games make more money than movies you know

  i just you know there were some numbers out there but just to tell you that

  it's that form of entertainment and i as a consumer have enjoyed so we got the

  sega genesis We loving the sports game.

  We doing the sports world series baseball.

  We're talking about, you know, the fighting game.

  Eternal champion was something out there. It was not a good game.

  But then you got Street Fighter. Mortal Kombat.

  We got going on. Oh, finish it.

  Let's go. Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat might be my favorite.

  Might be my favorite. How can I say? Video game. Fighting video game.

  Even though i do enjoy street fighter

  for some reason uh i don't know motor combat was just a little bit different

  a little bit bloody i guess and then as we pass and we're talking about the

  90s and then boom low and behold out of nowhere the sony playstation.

  Once again i'm gonna drink a little bit of water i apologize but you.

  one of those situations the sony playstation that came out of

  had their own video game thing just to give you a little uh

  had their own little thing going on you know when they were making

  video games i think aladdin is one of the more famous one

  with disney or something to that effect so you

  had the nintendo um you had the super nintendo

  successful the genesis successful we move into

  the next consoles you have the second saturn that

  was talking about nintendo but then they move on to the nintendo

  64 but the sony just came out

  and said you know what we're gonna do our own and lo

  and behold they just say that video game

  history has changed forever for the better of

  the sony playstation so once i got my hands on

  the playstation one we were playing tekken sikoden what else final fantasy 7

  later on you already know that's that three disc game that's that rpg say less

  resident evil oh my goodness i remember but let me tell you something, that's a scary game.

  I remember there was a you know about you know they lent me
• 9:42
  the game and i remember there was a week where there

  was no school i think it was spring break and for some reason i remember

  my mother had to go uh to puerto rico in
• 9:51
  an emergency something to that effect you know i'm 16 17 you

  know i take care of myself whatever the

  case might be and yeah i remember for some

  reason i would stay up late and then i'll

  play resident evil wow what a scary game with the

  lights off the dogs oh whatever that

  mentioned yo let me tell you something resident evil

  is scary that's another game that it meant a lot

  and that silent hill the top

  of the silent hill what the fuck what's going on

  what's going on but anyway so

  those are the games in some you know the sony playstation meant

  a lot and then as you get older you

  know i start working i hear boom boom and then

  the playstation 2 to me

  my favorite console by far is the playstation 2

  uh so many games i'm telling you there's so

  many games i i can mention but just me growing up

  and playing these consoles i've i've really enjoyed the playstation 2 especially

  socom the multiplayer game they did have a campaign but the multiplayer the

  fact that you're going online you plug in that little ethernet wire in the back

  and you're playing online and you're talking to people in.

  i mean get sony so come on get its own podcast its own little thing going on

  and then you know as i as i get older um i became more actually i became a big

  microsoft As we speak, I'm on the Xbox.

  I most likely will be linking the new name, the deconstructing topic,

  new name, whatever it is, GameAttack on my Xbox.

  Because I would love to make, you know, I'm going to say that I will be making

  some gaming content in the future.

  Because I just finished playing Battlefield, Battlefield game. Woo!

  The beta. So, comes out in October. That's another thing too right there.

  I can't wait so I

  became a big fan of the 360 360 to

  me the Microsoft 360 would be

  my second favorite console of all time that game has gears and today's day today's

  day once again I hate to repeat myself but a lot of these games they mean to

  be I would love to just put I cannot say maybe lump sum or lump.

  My favorite video games of all time and to

  me halo now what's interesting because i

  play halo in the uh xbox the

  original xbox and i remember i

  played the first two you know they were great games but i felt that
• 12:41
  they were overrated for whatever reason uh but

  then halo 3 won me over the multiplayer
• 12:47
  the whole game just won me over and the
• 12:51
  rest is history when it comes to halo gears of war let's go

  i mean then you know there's so much battlefield did i
• 12:58
  mention call of duty you know a lot of people say then you don't

  mention call of duty that's a whole different story there but call
• 13:03
  of duty one of the top selling games and yeah
• 13:08
  it's it's it's so much that i could talk about but once
• 13:11
  again it's just my little uh introduction into what

  gaming has meant to be one of the things that i

  will say this much you know growing up why video games what's the thing you

  know i grew up in the south bronze and when i say the south bronze we're talking
• 13:26
  about the south south south south bronze like the first zip code when you come

  into the to the bronze the tip right there cypress avenue brook avenue you already know 138 135th.

  You guys already know what i'm talking about you know what i mean for those

  who don't know back 30 years even to this

  day those streets was wild there were

  wild kids back then wild people back then let's get it and for some reason Vader

  Games was that thing and not only for me but I've noticed a lot of household

  and I'm gonna go on a limb because some people might say well you know Vader

  Games people don't do anything you know whatever it is you just stay in your house.

  Now we could argue this and i'm not trying to make an argument but we can look

  at it this video games has kept some crazy wild people at home.

  I think that video games you might have bloods and

  crypts and i think i saw a video and i'm not gonna say i think i've seen videos

  of these little tournaments that the blood scripts whatever it is somebody was

  doing and i'm like oh wow that's interesting john madden football bringing people
• 14:39
  together let's go no no shootouts no nothing crazy i'm just saying yes video game in a way.

  You know sometimes sadly when uh when the

  playstation 2 came out when the playstation 4 the xbox
• 14:53
  people got robbed but you know it's a small percentage

  you know what i mean it's it's not like if you know you're gonna
• 14:59
  be walking with a console on the streets you know sadly people

  get gunned down because of whatever article clothes they got
• 15:05
  the jordans are they gonna stop selling jordans no i'm
• 15:09
  just saying video games have kept a lot

  of people you know where situation

  and i've heard stories where people be like you know like yo it was a rainy

  day you know for some reason something told me to stay home and i popped my
• 15:26
  favorite video game i started playing and i've just heard that my people's one
• 15:32
  of my people's got shot at this party and they invited me but I still home playing video games.

  I do remember somebody telling me that story and I'm pretty sure that there's
• 15:39
  a lot of stories like that.

  So video games do take, or how can I say?

  There are those that say, and I remember a couple of years ago,

  in the Joe Rogan show, he might have mentioned that gamers need to do this,

  that gamers need to do that. And I get where he was coming from.

  There is a percentage of those who just get addicted and don't do anything.

  Hey, listen, I say balance.

  Balance. Get that vitamin D. Do a little bit of something.

  You definitely need a balance. And I want to say that. You know.

  Let's say if I'm not doing anything on a weekend. I'm just going to game.

  It's very rare that I play on a weekday. It used to be Thursday was my thing.

  But not. If I want to have a good work. I can sometimes. Hey listen.

  When I'm gaming on a Thursday. I'm just going to.

  Maybe buy a little six pack. Then I'm going to wake up the next day.

  To the gym a little bit like oh so i

  kind of cut down on that friday nights

  uh friday nights is so different to me unless i'm

  doing something special like a special event but friday

  night you know i work hard i do the content i get home crash

  out so that i could network on saturdays and

  sunday go out there network network network

  lot of work in video games can hinder the progress of what you want to do but

  from going out there and doing some harmful stuff you know what i mean.

  Man that's not the way i feel it's like growing up in the south south bronze hey listen,

  playing those days playing John Madden the sports chalk baseball the Joe Montana

  football a lot of sports game I'm playing the hockey NHL 94 and.

  I remember there was a couple of times uh you know i stood home whatever it

  is and some of my childhood friends oh hey we got john we went to this party and i'm like uh okay,

  i'm here can you play against me

  and john manning you got a black guy i got two good eyes you know what i'm

  saying but it just to tell you that video games in itself it's a form of entertainment

  and for those people that do enjoy this entertainment or this way of entertainment
