- 0:05Speaker 1: All right, guys, welcome to give them Laala podcast with
- 0:10Speaker 1: Gigi filling in for.
- 0:11Speaker 2: La La Kift.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Love it already amazing, so my practice paid off.
- 0:19Speaker 2: It didn't seem like you got a lot of it,
- 0:20Speaker 2: but it worked.
- 0:21Speaker 3: Oh that was good. That was good.
- 0:26Speaker 4: What's uh? What's how are you feeling? How are you
- 0:28Speaker 4: feeling about this? I know you have a little something
- 0:30Speaker 4: to say for everyone. We have a little surprise.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Oh, we have a huge surprise in the house. Let's
- 0:35Speaker 1: give it up for.
- 0:44Speaker 2: You are a treasure.
- 0:45Speaker 4: You are you are literally you are the best ever.
- 0:49Speaker 5: I feel like I should be walking out on like
- 0:52Speaker 5: a talk show. I love it.
- 0:56Speaker 4: Lala, welcome back to the gift to your podcast. They
- 1:00Speaker 4: give them all a podcast. How are you feeling?
- 1:02Speaker 5: I feel so bad because I walked in and saw
- 1:05Speaker 5: producers and like didn't give them the warmest of welcome.
- 1:08Speaker 5: You didn't well, because it just feels like I haven't
- 1:11Speaker 5: been gone. Oh and then I realized I haven't been
- 1:15Speaker 5: in studio for over a month. And then I came
- 1:19Speaker 5: in and gave him a warm Hi. It doesn't feel
- 1:25Speaker 5: like we skipped a beat. And here I am, like
- 1:28Speaker 5: not pregnant anymore. Two weeks postpart looking amazing, by the way,
- 1:32Speaker 5: Oh tell me more.
- 1:34Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:34Speaker 5: I went to a parent mixer the other night and
- 1:36Speaker 5: the moms were so nice to me, and I was like,
- 1:39Speaker 5: I don't have a man, so like, please tell me
- 1:42Speaker 5: how hot I am again, like this whole entire night,
- 1:45Speaker 5: Just tell me you can't believe I gave birth, you know,
- 1:48Speaker 5: like all the things that like usually someone's partner says
- 1:51Speaker 5: to them and like, my mom tells me, but like,
- 1:53Speaker 5: you guys are hot bitches. Can you also tell me
- 1:56Speaker 5: she just.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Got thrown under the bus.
- 1:59Speaker 7: This is a hot bitch. Looks amazing, she really does.
- 2:04Speaker 7: She has the balance back.
- 2:05Speaker 5: And there is not a dig at you not being
- 2:07Speaker 5: you're a hot bitch, but you're my mom, Like you
- 2:09Speaker 5: have to say, like you look great, sweetie.
- 2:12Speaker 7: No I don't. I don't have to say anything.
- 2:14Speaker 2: That's true.
- 2:15Speaker 3: She doesn't have to, but she does.
- 2:18Speaker 4: You do look amazing, but your energy seems amazing. Is
- 2:21Speaker 4: there a big difference between how are you feeling how
- 2:24Speaker 4: you're feeling now two weeks postpartum with Sosa versus how
- 2:27Speaker 4: you felt with.
- 2:28Speaker 5: Oh, I feel like I was wrecked with oh.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Really?
- 2:31Speaker 5: Yeah? Because I had never given birth before, it was
- 2:34Speaker 5: like such a shock to my body, even though like, yes,
- 2:38Speaker 5: they say that just giving birth, like your body knows
- 2:42Speaker 5: what to do, right. But Sosa was two pounds heavier
- 2:48Speaker 5: than Ocean at birth and two inches longer, and I
- 2:52Speaker 5: feel like she the birthing process with her and just
- 2:57Speaker 5: like coming home from the hospital and recovering like I'm
- 3:01Speaker 5: kind of killing it. They give you pain meds. My
- 3:04Speaker 5: Obi was like, how are we on a scale of
- 3:06Speaker 5: one to ten, Like are we needing heavy duty or
- 3:09Speaker 5: are we needing like not much? And I was like,
- 3:12Speaker 5: I mean, I'm pretty much at a one, and maybe
- 3:15Speaker 5: because the hospital was keeping me pretty stable with the
- 3:18Speaker 5: pain meds, but dude, I haven't taken them at all.
- 3:21Speaker 5: Whereas with Ocean, I was like sobbing, someone put a
- 3:25Speaker 5: pain medication inside of me because my vagina feels like
- 3:29Speaker 5: it's going to explode all over the walls.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Really not to be too grad.
- 3:37Speaker 5: You're welcomed, You're welcome, my goodness.
- 3:42Speaker 1: No, And you know, I wasn't there for the birthing
- 3:44Speaker 1: experience for Ocean in the room right when it happened. Yeah,
- 3:49Speaker 1: but I was there with Sosa and it was so beautiful.
- 3:53Speaker 7: You guys, just was there.
- 3:56Speaker 4: It was quite literally, yeah, I want to hear what
- 3:58Speaker 4: you both think, because I've never been in the room
- 4:01Speaker 4: for a birth and it was life changing. And I'm
- 4:03Speaker 4: not even saying that lightly. I was like, oh my god,
- 4:06Speaker 4: this is like miraculous, this is life. It was the
- 4:09Speaker 4: most amazing extent.
- 4:10Speaker 7: It was beautiful, golden.
- 4:21Speaker 4: And not being there for Oceans inside the room for
- 4:23Speaker 4: Ocean's birth was obviously not your choice, but like, yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 4:29Speaker 4: but anyway.
- 4:30Speaker 5: No, it it really was. I went in, I was
- 4:36Speaker 5: I asked to be induced. A lot of people, I
- 4:40Speaker 5: think they kind of just let the baby run the
- 4:43Speaker 5: show and they're like, this is my due date. But
- 4:46Speaker 5: if I go over, like that's the game plan if
- 4:48Speaker 5: you want to kickstart labor. I have a night nurse
- 4:51Speaker 5: who's also a doula, and so Stocy and I were
- 4:54Speaker 5: in constant communication. She's like, if you're done, like, call
- 4:59Speaker 5: so and so. She'll have you go through this, that
- 5:01Speaker 5: and the other so that it'll kick start labor. And
- 5:04Speaker 5: I'm like, no, no, I don't think anyone understands we're
- 5:07Speaker 5: not kick starting labor. We're being induced. I know how
- 5:11Speaker 5: I want this to go. Like everyone has their their
- 5:14Speaker 5: birthing plan right, and as long as we stayed on
- 5:17Speaker 5: that path where Sosa didn't come early, like we're on
- 5:21Speaker 5: track for the birthing plan. You're always prepared to like
- 5:24Speaker 5: have things kind of go sideways or you're veered off
- 5:28Speaker 5: into a direction and you kind of just.
- 5:29Speaker 7: Roll with it.
- 5:30Speaker 5: But up until what it was my birthday September second,
- 5:35Speaker 5: and like she's still not here, I'm not feeling anything like, Okay,
- 5:38Speaker 5: the birthing plan is happening the way that it's supposed to.
- 5:42Speaker 5: Sosa is a bad a little bad ass. She didn't
- 5:44Speaker 5: want to share a birthday with me, so she came
- 5:47Speaker 5: the next day. She's September third, which is so wild.
- 5:50Speaker 5: I'm like, oh my gosh, my little virgo back to
- 5:52Speaker 5: back birthdays. They induced me at what four thirty am.
- 5:58Speaker 7: We got there at four, check you in, got you
- 6:00Speaker 7: into the room, yep.
- 6:02Speaker 5: And it was myself, obviously, Jess was there, my mom
- 6:06Speaker 5: and my sister in law yep. And just a room
- 6:10Speaker 5: full of women who I love and adore as I
- 6:14Speaker 5: prepare to give birth to.
- 6:18Speaker 7: The love of our lives, the second love.
- 6:21Speaker 5: The whole thing was like, that's so perfect.
- 6:25Speaker 7: No, it was. It was absolutely beautiful.
- 6:27Speaker 6: Walking into the room after after Yeah, it was just
- 6:32Speaker 6: even the energy was very like it was beautiful walking
- 6:35Speaker 6: into the room like that. Everything was great.
- 6:38Speaker 5: It was so calm, it was just like feminine energy.
- 6:42Speaker 5: I was giving birth to a little girl, knowing that,
- 6:45Speaker 5: like I chose to do motherhood by myself. It was
- 6:49Speaker 5: wild because it was like a montage of all this
- 6:52Speaker 5: stuff playing through my mind as I'm sitting there being
- 6:54Speaker 5: like we're starting the process of like inducing me to
- 6:58Speaker 5: give birth, and it was like, oh my gosh. The
- 7:01Speaker 5: moment that I reached out to California Cryo Bank and
- 7:06Speaker 5: we found the perfect donor, like everything just started playing
- 7:09Speaker 5: through my mind and I'm like we're here, like we're
- 7:12Speaker 5: freaking doing this. And then all the female nurses. It
- 7:15Speaker 5: was just like a room full of fucking female forces.
- 7:22Speaker 4: Right, it was so beautiful.
- 7:25Speaker 3: It was so beautiful.
- 7:29Speaker 4: No, we were all on cloud nine.
- 7:31Speaker 5: But I will say the most terrifying part was the
- 7:35Speaker 5: initial IV that I like basically passed out with with Ocean.
- 7:39Speaker 5: I did not pass out with the initial IV.
- 7:42Speaker 4: I I walk.
- 7:44Speaker 5: In, They're like, so we're gonna start you on potocin first,
- 7:46Speaker 5: and I was like, nah, no, no, no, no, na,
- 7:48Speaker 5: hail to the nanana. No, no, it's not stupid though, it's
- 7:54Speaker 5: to kick start labor. But why would I want you
- 7:57Speaker 5: to kick start labor without turning me in the humpty.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Dupty first out the pain.
- 8:02Speaker 5: I was like, no, we're going to first give me
- 8:07Speaker 5: the humpty dubby medicine and you know it is all
- 8:10Speaker 5: an epidural.
- 8:11Speaker 7: Yeah, And you know.
- 8:12Speaker 1: What's so crazy is obviously I gave birth thirty some
- 8:15Speaker 1: years ago and they had me just lay on my
- 8:18Speaker 1: side and put it, you know, injected whatever they inject
- 8:22Speaker 1: for the epidural. But they had her sit on the
- 8:25Speaker 1: edge of the bed. It was, it was so much different.
- 8:28Speaker 4: We walked out of the cheryl and I walked out
- 8:30Speaker 4: of the room for that.
- 8:31Speaker 2: Yeah question, Yeah.
- 8:32Speaker 6: Was it done the same though? Don't makes sense like
- 8:36Speaker 6: you were on your side, you're on the edge of
- 8:38Speaker 6: the bed. But was the procedure still the same just
- 8:40Speaker 6: this sitting, which, sure it was.
- 8:42Speaker 1: I didn't see the procedure because obviously I was turned
- 8:45Speaker 1: on my side when I gave birth.
- 8:47Speaker 5: They shove a giant needle into your spine and.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Your spine, yeah, I didn't want and I did not
- 8:51Speaker 1: want to watch hers because that's.
- 8:53Speaker 5: A little I can't imagine why dignifying.
- 8:57Speaker 4: Did you have any so you said, with the ocean
- 8:59Speaker 4: you had, you know, the ivy you passed out. Did
- 9:02Speaker 4: you have any negative experiences with this one as far
- 9:06Speaker 4: as those or no.
- 9:08Speaker 5: With the epidural and the initial just like thing that
- 9:11Speaker 5: they put in to continue giving you whatever, the ivy, right,
- 9:15Speaker 5: the ivy.
- 9:19Speaker 4: I'm asking because I'm like, does she want to talk
- 9:21Speaker 4: about it? Yeah?
- 9:22Speaker 5: I want to, So all is good. I don't pass
- 9:26Speaker 5: out for either of the things that I thought I would.
- 9:29Speaker 5: And then they come in and flip me on my back,
- 9:32Speaker 5: and I think I talked to you guys before. When
- 9:34Speaker 5: I went to my final doctor's appointment with the anatomy doctor.
- 9:40Speaker 5: He put me on my back and I was like,
- 9:42Speaker 5: I'm going I'm passing out. He had me turned on
- 9:45Speaker 5: my side. He acted unfazed. It happened again, except this
- 9:49Speaker 5: time they were like they had me in butterfly position
- 9:53Speaker 5: putting the catheter in, and it was too much. I
- 9:56Speaker 5: was like, I'm going down.
- 9:58Speaker 7: I out. Oh.
- 10:01Speaker 5: I remember turning my head because I knew I was
- 10:04Speaker 5: going to throw up, and I was worried that I
- 10:06Speaker 5: was going to what's it called aspirate. So I just
- 10:11Speaker 5: remember passing out but knowing to turn my head to
- 10:14Speaker 5: start vomiting. Yep, and then I come to and it
- 10:19Speaker 5: happens again. But apparently it was like, oh, terrifying for me.
- 10:24Speaker 7: It looked like you're having a season.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Lisa and I were just fixated and you started your
- 10:28Speaker 1: hands started shaking, and.
- 10:29Speaker 7: I'm like, we have a problem.
- 10:30Speaker 4: We have a problem.
- 10:31Speaker 7: We have a problem.
- 10:32Speaker 4: Something's wrong, something's very wrong. It was actually, I do
- 10:36Speaker 4: have to say, my hand was I've never seen anything
- 10:40Speaker 4: like that. My hand was shaking. Actually I've seen it
- 10:42Speaker 4: once with Katie, but not throwing up. My hand was shaky.
- 10:45Speaker 4: And when Lala, when Lala came to, my hand's shaking
- 10:50Speaker 4: under and Lala's like, did I just go out? And
- 10:52Speaker 4: I'm like yeah, but it was nothing. It was it
- 10:54Speaker 4: was nothing. You're fine.
- 10:56Speaker 6: I'm like you, I'm never going in a room to
- 10:59Speaker 6: see even my wife. All I'm saying is a Saw movie,
- 11:02Speaker 6: the Conjuring. Just a hell hole in that room.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Okay, So, but so people understand it was every time
- 11:09Speaker 4: you were put on your back, it was just a
- 11:12Speaker 4: feeling you had in what like your head, your body.
- 11:15Speaker 4: Did you get dizzy.
- 11:17Speaker 5: She must Sosa must have been positioned in a way
- 11:21Speaker 5: that when I was on my back, it just it
- 11:25Speaker 5: made it so that I couldn't made me stay away.
- 11:29Speaker 5: It made me want to pass out, and so I
- 11:33Speaker 5: told them. I was like, I have to be on
- 11:35Speaker 5: my side. There's no way that I can't be on
- 11:38Speaker 5: my side because I'm going to be out cold. Each time,
- 11:40Speaker 5: I would vomit. Right, I vomited both times.
- 11:42Speaker 1: But it's also like sometimes the nurses and doctors they
- 11:46Speaker 1: want to walk through like we're gonna like put a
- 11:49Speaker 1: needle in your Oh my god, you'll feel a cool,
- 11:52Speaker 1: you know, cool sensation, whatever the case may be. It's
- 11:55Speaker 1: like enough information, Like we don't.
- 11:58Speaker 4: Some people love it, but you're right, Like I loved
- 12:00Speaker 4: that you kept saying like, Okay, yeah, she doesn't need
- 12:02Speaker 4: to and you said it too, like she doesn't need
- 12:04Speaker 4: thank you, but she doesn't need to hear step by seven.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Yeah, it freaks her out a little.
- 12:09Speaker 5: And I like even the most simple thing where it's
- 12:12Speaker 5: like you just explaining what the medicine does, It's like
- 12:15Speaker 5: I don't want to hear any of it. Just come in.
- 12:19Speaker 5: I trust you, say Hi, how are you? Let's start
- 12:22Speaker 5: talking about my nipple tattoo. I don't give a shit
- 12:24Speaker 5: what we talk about. Yeah, right, shove it in. I'm
- 12:27Speaker 5: aware that it'll probably hurt. I know what's going on.
- 12:31Speaker 5: Don't talk about it. Let's talk about how many times
- 12:34Speaker 5: I had to cover up a tattoo or something. I
- 12:37Speaker 5: always go back to the tattoos. That is the first
- 12:40Speaker 5: thing I start talking about. And it's always, you know,
- 12:42Speaker 5: I have a heart around my nipple, always something to
- 12:45Speaker 5: really get them like a little thrown off.
- 12:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:48Speaker 7: Well you know what.
- 12:49Speaker 1: It gives me anxiety when people talk about what's gonna
- 12:51Speaker 1: happen next, like.
- 12:52Speaker 7: Me too and all that. Yeah, I don't want to
- 12:56Speaker 7: hear about it.
- 12:57Speaker 4: Yeah. But other than that, that was really see that
- 13:01Speaker 4: was really like and those were small hiccups, but that
- 13:03Speaker 4: was like, unless I'm forgetting something, that was really the
- 13:05Speaker 4: only hiccup.
- 13:06Speaker 7: Yeah, I would say.
- 13:12Speaker 5: The bigger thing for me was them inducing with Ocean.
- 13:16Speaker 5: I was induced at like I got there at eight
- 13:18Speaker 5: am and then I was hungry, so they were like,
- 13:20Speaker 5: we can wait until eleven. This was I mean, do
- 13:24Speaker 5: you remember recording me in the kitchen and I was
- 13:26Speaker 5: having a hard time speaking. I thought I was stroking yeah,
- 13:29Speaker 5: I have it, Like I could not talk why though,
- 13:34Speaker 5: where I think I was exhausted. It was like I
- 13:36Speaker 5: tried to go to bed that we're.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Not We're not mourning people. We're not four o'clock in
- 13:41Speaker 1: the morning. We are not mourning people. We get sick
- 13:43Speaker 1: if we don't get enough resk.
- 13:45Speaker 4: Yeah, well that's true. I get sick too.
- 13:47Speaker 7: Yeah, it's notice and Cheryl does too.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Yeah. I was already feeling like I had a headache
- 13:52Speaker 5: from not sleeping enough, and then I couldn't put together sentences.
- 13:55Speaker 5: So the bigger thing for me was like I was
- 13:58Speaker 5: concerned about not being able to have enough strength to
- 14:02Speaker 5: like have a baby.
- 14:04Speaker 8: And you couldn't I didn't know this. By the way,
- 14:07Speaker 8: You just you can't eat.
- 14:09Speaker 4: You can't eat when you once you get the is
- 14:12Speaker 4: it once you get the epidural you just like or
- 14:15Speaker 4: is it you chose not to because you didn't want
- 14:16Speaker 4: to be nauseous.
- 14:18Speaker 5: I had like an uncrustable or something before. I think
- 14:25Speaker 5: it was like two thirty when I woke up to
- 14:27Speaker 5: start getting ready, but like, well, no hospital, No, I
- 14:30Speaker 5: knew I couldn't eat.
- 14:31Speaker 9: But they gave you you can clear thing, so they
- 14:35Speaker 9: gave me, like chicken, broth, ices, jello, like all of
- 14:40Speaker 9: the things that I did not participate in with Ocean
- 14:43Speaker 9: that I did with this because I'm sitting in this
- 14:46Speaker 9: room with Ocean, I had windows in my room.
- 14:48Speaker 5: This one, I'm like, I don't know what time of
- 14:50Speaker 5: day it is.
- 14:51Speaker 8: It felt like weird times of day.
- 14:53Speaker 4: And then we'd go out in the hallway and be like,
- 14:55Speaker 4: oh my god, it's like eight am and it felt
- 14:56Speaker 4: like midnight.
- 14:57Speaker 5: No, I know, it was very strange. It's weird, and
- 15:00Speaker 5: I didn't want the lights on because I wanted to sleep.
- 15:03Speaker 5: I'm like, there, I'm gonna have to have enough strength
- 15:05Speaker 5: to push out a human, and I'm worried I'm not
- 15:07Speaker 5: gonna be able to I started freaking out about that
- 15:11Speaker 5: after the passing out twice. I was like, there is
- 15:14Speaker 5: a chance that I may not be able to do this,
- 15:17Speaker 5: especially because every time I'm on my back, which is
- 15:19Speaker 5: what I'm gonna be in when I have to push.
- 15:21Speaker 7: Her out, I'm passing out. I know.
- 15:23Speaker 5: Yeah, No, that was I think one of my biggest concerns.
- 15:27Speaker 5: But it went by so fast. Can I tell you?
- 15:32Speaker 5: It felt like the longest day ever. And then all
- 15:35Speaker 5: of the sudden. They're like, you're at six centimeters. If
- 15:38Speaker 5: you feel pressure in your butt, let us know. So
- 15:42Speaker 5: my mom decides to go get coffee for the hundredth
- 15:46Speaker 5: time that day.
- 15:47Speaker 7: I got a pink drink or whatever.
- 15:50Speaker 2: You went to a coffee shop.
- 15:51Speaker 5: She went to Starbucks, shout out Starbucks multiple multiple times.
- 15:57Speaker 2: And she's still so tired.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Just twice, I am exhausted.
- 16:02Speaker 5: No, why did she walk in after I had passed out?
- 16:05Speaker 5: After I had passed out? Hell of times? My mom
- 16:09Speaker 5: has the fucking ovaries. Just walk into my room and say.
- 16:15Speaker 4: I am exhausted. And then a couple of times for
- 16:19Speaker 4: she said, Cheryl and I need to sleep.
- 16:21Speaker 3: We need to sleep, we need to sleep here I am.
- 16:26Speaker 5: I'm like, they're coming in every I'm passing out. I've
- 16:31Speaker 5: got needles all over my body, including in my huha.
- 16:35Speaker 5: They're coming in to change my bag, my pea bag
- 16:38Speaker 5: every so often.
- 16:39Speaker 7: I just wanted to share with you.
- 16:40Speaker 5: Let me tell you something. When a woman is laboring
- 16:45Speaker 5: and then I'm being fisted every fifteen minutes.
- 16:49Speaker 1: I left and literally you went from a sixth to.
- 16:54Speaker 2: What they had.
- 16:55Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I keep telling that story.
- 16:58Speaker 5: Oh my god, Lisa says to my sister in law.
- 17:01Speaker 5: We've got plenty of times. She's got a six.
- 17:08Speaker 7: We had a crust snack.
- 17:12Speaker 5: They were enjoying a beautiful day and we had it.
- 17:15Speaker 1: Was all windows, so it was a beautiful view like pase.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Up on yourself.
- 17:24Speaker 4: You remember that. It was exhausted where Lisa was like, no,
- 17:29Speaker 4: come with us.
- 17:30Speaker 3: We have plenty of time.
- 17:30Speaker 4: And I said, and I was like, She's like, we
- 17:33Speaker 4: need one person, at least one person here, so I'll stay.
- 17:36Speaker 7: You guys come treating Starbucks.
- 17:38Speaker 5: So that's why Easton, I'm watching. I'm watching Cheryl, my
- 17:45Speaker 5: sister in law, and Jessica make eyes at each other
- 17:47Speaker 5: like someone needs to stay back. And my mom could
- 17:50Speaker 5: not have been by me, like having a baby.
- 17:54Speaker 2: No.
- 17:54Speaker 5: I was like, come on, come on, it's gonna be
- 17:57Speaker 5: a while.
- 17:58Speaker 2: It's my tree.
- 18:00Speaker 7: I'm a bribe. It was.
- 18:03Speaker 5: It was probably fifteen minutes they had been they had left.
- 18:06Speaker 5: The nurse came in. She feels me goes. That's when
- 18:11Speaker 5: she said, let me know if you feel the pain
- 18:14Speaker 5: in the butt. Right before they leave, I say, I
- 18:16Speaker 5: bring the button. I'm like, I'm feeling a little bit
- 18:18Speaker 5: of pressure in my butt. It's probably nothing, but it's
- 18:21Speaker 5: a little bit. She comes in fiss me for the
- 18:24Speaker 5: five hundred at the time that day.
- 18:25Speaker 4: And she when she says fist, she means fist. No,
- 18:29Speaker 4: they're literally they're in there.
- 18:30Speaker 5: I mean there were times that the nurse came in
- 18:32Speaker 5: and she was like, we're not going to break your
- 18:33Speaker 5: water because I just felt her fingertips and I'm like,
- 18:36Speaker 5: oh no, no literal. I'm like, I'm like, high if
- 18:41Speaker 5: I were to put my hands too hot your.
- 18:43Speaker 4: And then I looked at the nurse. I'm oh, my gosh,
- 18:45Speaker 4: she's elbow deep.
- 18:46Speaker 7: Wow. I did not know see me leaving you guys?
- 18:50Speaker 7: What's good? Gotcha where you were?
- 18:52Speaker 2: Mom?
- 18:53Speaker 5: Enough enough out of you?
- 18:56Speaker 4: Keep going.
- 18:57Speaker 5: So the slightest set of pressure there, accountability, it has
- 19:01Speaker 5: not changed, never will. She's sixty three. I've accepted her for.
- 19:05Speaker 2: His old dog new tricks exactly.
- 19:10Speaker 7: But I love you, guys.
- 19:11Speaker 5: I love you too. Nurse comes in says, oh, we're there,
- 19:17Speaker 5: we're there. We're gonna call your obie and I'm like,
- 19:21Speaker 5: call it. Where's my mom? I'm ready for her to
- 19:25Speaker 5: come in.
- 19:25Speaker 7: Isn't that I came? I was exhausted.
- 19:28Speaker 4: I think it was either no, no, that's when you
- 19:30Speaker 4: came in with your Starbucks bag, just.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Just trotting, meander, meandering.
- 19:36Speaker 8: Chatting it up with Cheryl, and I said, the baby's coming.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Yeah, And then everyone was so excited because you have
- 19:42Speaker 5: to remember I had told my sister in law on
- 19:44Speaker 5: multiple occasions, they're inducing me on the first, they're inducing
- 19:48Speaker 5: me on the second, they're now inducing me on the the.
- 19:51Speaker 7: Morning of the third, and y she had to change
- 19:55Speaker 7: her flight, her flight.
- 19:57Speaker 5: And she's like, there's a chance that the baby may
- 19:59Speaker 5: be born after I have to go home. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no.
- 20:02Speaker 5: If baby doesn't come, I will call your office. You're
- 20:05Speaker 5: not leaving. Yeah, we didn't have to worry about that.
- 20:08Speaker 5: But everyone gets so excited because our baby's coming. I'm
- 20:13Speaker 5: freaking out. They tilt the bed up and.
- 20:17Speaker 7: How into the queen position.
- 20:18Speaker 5: No, no, no, it's called throne's position.
- 20:23Speaker 3: You're the queen, and it looked like a thrown position.
- 20:26Speaker 4: I'm not even like, I'm not being sarcastic. It was
- 20:29Speaker 4: sitting there ready to just oh my god, it was
- 20:31Speaker 4: so great. She was straight up too. You were kind
- 20:34Speaker 4: of straight up.
- 20:35Speaker 5: Oh, I was fully straight up. I had to hold
- 20:36Speaker 5: onto the bed things so I didn't come toppling over
- 20:39Speaker 5: because you know, I was still a little front heavy
- 20:43Speaker 5: and they had me like with my legs like this,
- 20:45Speaker 5: but justly straight up like that because they were getting
- 20:48Speaker 5: the baby to drop more. So she was when I
- 20:51Speaker 5: tell you, this baby was not in the birthing canal long.
- 20:55Speaker 5: And she's got the head to prove that.
- 20:57Speaker 7: She's beautiful head, the most.
- 20:58Speaker 5: Gorgeous head you've ever seen in your life.
- 21:01Speaker 7: Round, perfect round, and perfect beautiful.
- 21:04Speaker 1: She really is beautiful. And I'll tell you something. The
- 21:07Speaker 1: nurses were like the best. They were the best. They
- 21:11Speaker 1: were the best, but they are also like just telling
- 21:15Speaker 1: us how beautiful she was.
- 21:16Speaker 4: And hey, you're jumping up too far.
- 21:18Speaker 5: Oh I haven't reached yet.
- 21:23Speaker 7: We were talking about her beautiful head.
- 21:24Speaker 5: Mybi my Obie, who is the most fabulous Obie in
- 21:28Speaker 5: the entire world.
- 21:29Speaker 4: He is a man.
- 21:31Speaker 5: He's a man, a straight man, straight man. He's got
- 21:34Speaker 5: the most calming energy.
- 21:37Speaker 7: I adore that man.
- 21:38Speaker 5: I adore him, so tilts me back. Jessica started recording
- 21:43Speaker 5: a video at ten eleven pm. By ten thirteen PM,
- 21:50Speaker 5: my baby Angel was in the world.
- 21:53Speaker 4: And you guys, I started recording before before the first
- 21:57Speaker 4: push correct it.
- 21:59Speaker 7: I was.
- 22:00Speaker 4: I have never been more shocked in my life. I
- 22:02Speaker 4: thought there was gonna be an hour and thirty minute
- 22:06Speaker 4: long video I did. I thought, you push, and then
- 22:08Speaker 4: it's like the head is here, and then twenty minutes later,
- 22:11Speaker 4: the shoulders are on. I didn't understand, but.
- 22:15Speaker 7: Tell him about when well it.
- 22:17Speaker 5: Was in the video. It got a little now that
- 22:21Speaker 5: I know what was going on. I didn't at first,
- 22:23Speaker 5: but during like my second to last push, he kind
- 22:27Speaker 5: of stands up really fast and he's fixated on the
- 22:30Speaker 5: monitor and he's making eyes with the nurse who's reading
- 22:35Speaker 5: things to him that I clearly don't understand because I'm
- 22:37Speaker 5: not a doctor, and he looks nervous and I'm like
- 22:43Speaker 5: he goes, I'm like, is everything okay? And he goes, YEP.
- 22:45Speaker 5: I just want you to keep pushing. We're gonna keep pushing.
- 22:48Speaker 5: And I was like, tell me when to go. He's like,
- 22:49Speaker 5: I want you to go right now. The cord was
- 22:52Speaker 5: wrapped around her neck a couple of times, and he
- 22:57Speaker 5: stayed calm because I could see that something was wrong,
- 23:01Speaker 5: but he didn't let me know that. She comes out,
- 23:05Speaker 5: they put her on my chest and I go to
- 23:08Speaker 5: hug her, but you know, embrace my baby. But the
- 23:12Speaker 5: way that the nurse is acting with the baby and
- 23:14Speaker 5: she's not crying, she does one cry and then it stops,
- 23:19Speaker 5: and my hands are freezing. So I'm like, I'm not
- 23:20Speaker 5: touching her because I don't want to like send her
- 23:23Speaker 5: into shock. And I keep asking you recorded this. I
- 23:25Speaker 5: keep asking the nurse is she okay?
- 23:27Speaker 7: Is she okay?
- 23:28Speaker 5: And they're like rubbing her chest, sucking things out of
- 23:31Speaker 5: her mouth. Apparently, for Mama, it was great that she
- 23:37Speaker 5: came out so quickly because I didn't have to push
- 23:39Speaker 5: very many times. But with a fast birth like that,
- 23:43Speaker 5: she swallowed a lot of fluid, amnionic fluid, to the
- 23:49Speaker 5: point where during our stay in the hospital they were
- 23:54Speaker 5: going to discharge me the next day. But she had
- 23:58Speaker 5: so much fluid that she was vomiting all the food
- 24:01Speaker 5: she had. She had an appetite, she was breathing okay,
- 24:06Speaker 5: like everything seemed. She had her coloring, her tummy was soft.
- 24:10Speaker 5: But then the nurses come in and they're like, we're
- 24:13Speaker 5: going There was one time that I think she she
- 24:15Speaker 5: turned purple because the nurse called in a bunch of
- 24:18Speaker 5: other nurses. She was freaked out.
- 24:20Speaker 4: This was the next day.
- 24:21Speaker 5: This was the next day. She They then bring in
- 24:27Speaker 5: a specialist and they're like, we want a surgeon to
- 24:32Speaker 5: look at her, because you know, this isn't normal. And
- 24:35Speaker 5: we've we've we got ten millileters of amniotic fluid out
- 24:39Speaker 5: of her stomach the first time, then we got another eight,
- 24:43Speaker 5: then we got another however many millileters, and they go
- 24:46Speaker 5: and now we're draining it through the nose and it
- 24:48Speaker 5: won't stop. And they said, we're either going to have
- 24:53Speaker 5: pediatric surgery deal with it, or we want to keep
- 24:56Speaker 5: her in the nickeo. And so of course I'm beside myself.
- 24:59Speaker 5: I'm like, what the fuck? I had nothing? But and
- 25:02Speaker 5: they come in and they're like, what was your pregnancy like?
- 25:06Speaker 5: And I'm like it was perfect, Like literally.
- 25:10Speaker 7: They were just kind of perplexed for a minute.
- 25:13Speaker 5: That they were perplexed. But as someone who's not a
- 25:15Speaker 5: doctor and I don't know these things, I had a
- 25:17Speaker 5: beautiful pregnancy. She kicked my ass, she was active every
- 25:21Speaker 5: there were no concerns, right, there were a ton of
- 25:24Speaker 5: concerns with Ocean, and Ocean went home a healthy baby.
- 25:28Speaker 5: So I'm like what, I started feeling guilty. I'm like,
- 25:30Speaker 5: what what did I do during this pregnancy that maybe
- 25:33Speaker 5: I didn't do with Ocean because you do kind of
- 25:36Speaker 5: ease up on the second pregnancy.
- 25:38Speaker 4: But I don't understand why they said, what is your
- 25:40Speaker 4: pregnancy like versus it sounds like it was the labor
- 25:44Speaker 4: and she came out so fat, Like why does the
- 25:45Speaker 4: pregnancy have anything? Would have anything to do with that?
- 25:48Speaker 5: They were perplexed.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I were trying to you know, we've we've pumped
- 25:53Speaker 1: your stomach three times, we put it to you know, down, Yeah,
- 25:57Speaker 1: what could it be?
- 25:58Speaker 7: Okay, Okay, Yeah.
- 25:59Speaker 5: It didn't seem like they were trying to like say
- 26:02Speaker 5: that I had done something because they even I started
- 26:05Speaker 5: crying and they were like, you did nothing wrong during fright.
- 26:07Speaker 5: We're just we're a little confused. Cut to they do
- 26:12Speaker 5: send me home. She's fine.
- 26:14Speaker 7: They're not.
- 26:14Speaker 5: They're not concerned anymore. They're like, she's just gonna have to,
- 26:17Speaker 5: you know, get it up and spit it up.
- 26:23Speaker 6: Change colors, isn't that why used to be like yellow
- 26:27Speaker 6: and a little it was like Foster me, which is
- 26:30Speaker 6: like bright yellow.
- 26:31Speaker 5: Then it was it had blood in it from like.
- 26:35Speaker 2: Because I remember the nurse side.
- 26:37Speaker 6: If this still goes on, we have to keep her again,
- 26:40Speaker 6: but it was easing up when I was there.
- 26:42Speaker 5: Yes, that's very Do you remember that.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Do you remember right after you gave birth, like a
- 26:48Speaker 4: few minutes and they kind of pulled the fluid out.
- 26:50Speaker 8: Do you remember them showing you how much?
- 26:52Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, out of the thing that was the yellowish fluid.
- 26:58Speaker 4: Then they took out of her. It was a lot,
- 27:00Speaker 4: it was a ton. Yeah, So I am surprised. Actually
- 27:03Speaker 4: they didn't keep her for longer, Like that's a great.
- 27:06Speaker 2: I was surprised, honestly.
- 27:07Speaker 6: When I was going and back and forth, I was
- 27:09Speaker 6: thinking you were going to be there at least another
- 27:11Speaker 6: night or two.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I really, well, we were only supposed to stay over
- 27:14Speaker 1: night and leave, and we actually stayed two nights.
- 27:16Speaker 6: But and that was your decision. They said you could
- 27:18Speaker 6: leave or stay another night, or I would.
- 27:21Speaker 5: Leave the baby, but the baby would stay.
- 27:23Speaker 2: And I'm like, I'm leaving.
- 27:25Speaker 5: I Am not leaving my baby here while I go
- 27:28Speaker 5: have a nice sleep at home. First of all, I
- 27:32Speaker 5: wouldn't have a nice sleep, but like I know, yeah, no,
- 27:36Speaker 5: like this is my cub, my baby, right fuck that noise?
- 27:41Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 27:41Speaker 4: Yeah? But all yeah, how is she now?
- 27:44Speaker 5: All is fabulous. She's gained a pound in one week.
- 27:47Speaker 1: Speaking of poundage, I guess the right weight?
- 27:53Speaker 2: Did you how much?
- 27:54Speaker 4: Oh?
- 27:55Speaker 7: We all had a little pot going. Jessica started it.
- 27:58Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought it was very Yeah said eight point
- 28:02Speaker 5: three pounds, eight point three pounds, and how many inches?
- 28:05Speaker 4: Did you say?
- 28:05Speaker 5: Like twenty two?
- 28:07Speaker 4: No, that wasn't far off, though.
- 28:08Speaker 2: I said twenty one something. Maybe No, I said twenty
- 28:11Speaker 2: point something point eight or.
- 28:13Speaker 8: Twenty because she was twenty point eight.
- 28:16Speaker 2: Oh, then I think I said twenty one. He did
- 28:19Speaker 2: the length.
- 28:20Speaker 1: But I said eight pounds, No, no, seven? Sorry, you
- 28:24Speaker 1: guys right, I said seven pounds eight ounces, and she
- 28:29Speaker 1: was she was seven pounds eight ounces right to the money,
- 28:32Speaker 1: I said seven points.
- 28:33Speaker 4: I think right to the money. What did you guess?
- 28:37Speaker 7: You guys?
- 28:37Speaker 4: Seven point two?
- 28:38Speaker 7: Maybe?
- 28:39Speaker 5: I think I was at seven three and I did
- 28:43Speaker 5: like twenty one inches.
- 28:45Speaker 4: I think timing wise, we were all pretty off, except
- 28:48Speaker 4: she know was close or no.
- 28:50Speaker 7: I think Ortney was close close.
- 28:52Speaker 5: Courtney said she was going to come at one am,
- 28:54Speaker 5: and she came at ten, which is.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Said that that's the closest one.
- 28:58Speaker 4: I guess like she said eleven.
- 29:02Speaker 5: Then she was closest we had bets going, and all
- 29:06Speaker 5: I know is she came out and she was is
- 29:11Speaker 5: the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen in my life.
- 29:14Speaker 2: She's a pretty baby.
- 29:15Speaker 5: She is a pretty baby. And I feel like the
- 29:19Speaker 5: hospital did not have to say that they see a
- 29:22Speaker 5: lot of babies. I just don't feel like they have to.
- 29:26Speaker 5: And there were nurses that would come in and do
- 29:28Speaker 5: a double take of my child and say she is beautiful.
- 29:34Speaker 4: She has these almond eyes like she is.
- 29:38Speaker 7: She looks like.
- 29:43Speaker 2: She does she does.
- 29:44Speaker 5: I'm looking at her and I'm like, you look like
- 29:46Speaker 5: my my uncle's baby photos, my mom's baby photos. I
- 29:50Speaker 5: look identical to my mom. So clearly you look like me.
- 29:53Speaker 5: And what's great.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Stunning? So clearly she is a ten out of she.
- 30:02Speaker 5: Looks She's so stunning. She looks just like she is.
- 30:08Speaker 6: So the best thing was Lauren when she was like
- 30:10Speaker 6: she was got done breastfeeding her and I walked in
- 30:13Speaker 6: the house and she goes, I hate it.
- 30:14Speaker 2: I feel like I'm breastfeeding moll.
- 30:19Speaker 5: Ther time she opens her eyes and I'm like, is
- 30:25Speaker 5: literally can.
- 30:27Speaker 7: I tell you guys, she is so sweet like I have.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Doesn't make trauma from my two.
- 30:36Speaker 4: Ocean?
- 30:37Speaker 1: Yeah, they were so they were so colicky, and so
- 30:41Speaker 1: I have postpart of trauma, trauma from.
- 30:45Speaker 4: From the way their health, their looks, their.
- 30:52Speaker 7: Very beautiful babies. No, I didn't mean for that holicky and.
- 30:56Speaker 1: So okay, this baby, my fingers are so crossed, but
- 31:00Speaker 1: so far she's dream baby.
- 31:02Speaker 5: I cannot stop just like kissing this baby. What's different
- 31:07Speaker 5: between this baby and Ocean. We've spoken about this before,
- 31:10Speaker 5: but I remember with Ocean I cried a lot, but
- 31:15Speaker 5: not out of sadness, but I couldn't. It was like
- 31:19Speaker 5: the first baby, and I feel like it was a
- 31:21Speaker 5: kind of a heavy environment that I went home.
- 31:24Speaker 7: To with with that environment.
- 31:27Speaker 5: Nightmare environment, and I wouldn't wish it upon anybody. This
- 31:31Speaker 5: baby is like so happy and I sel.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Calm the environment though you guys, you don't even know
- 31:40Speaker 1: she's awake, like you'll you'll look at her and she's
- 31:43Speaker 1: wide awake.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Just look at her.
- 31:45Speaker 1: She's so even the night nurses have said how alert
- 31:49Speaker 1: she is, and you guys, she can pick her head up.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Let's talk about that.
- 31:53Speaker 5: I told y'all, no, let's talk about it. This baby
- 31:56Speaker 5: is kicking my ass. She's headbutting my bladder. It feels
- 32:00Speaker 5: like I was like, she's kicking with her heel, like
- 32:04Speaker 5: that's just what it felt like. Okay, she comes out,
- 32:07Speaker 5: they lay her on my chest for the first time.
- 32:09Speaker 5: She lifts her head and I'm like, oh my god, no,
- 32:13Speaker 5: she did.
- 32:13Speaker 4: We were I was like, oh, something was in the water,
- 32:17Speaker 4: Like she's gonna be.
- 32:17Speaker 3: Like a spider Man of.
- 32:18Speaker 4: Sorts, truly like a superhero because she literally is minutes
- 32:24Speaker 4: old and she's just basically walking around the room, is
- 32:28Speaker 4: what it felt like. She lifted her head like, hey,
- 32:31Speaker 4: what's up.
- 32:32Speaker 5: Yeah, it was no, she was headbudding my bladder and
- 32:35Speaker 5: she does this thing with her feet where she's like
- 32:39Speaker 5: and she's so stiff, you guys, And Lauren was so stiff.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Lauren was so stiff as a child, like trying to
- 32:45Speaker 1: change her diaper.
- 32:46Speaker 7: Good luck.
- 32:47Speaker 4: Can you tell the cute thing, Nolah, you said when
- 32:50Speaker 4: she came out and you put her on your chest,
- 32:53Speaker 4: she was literally moving the same way that.
- 32:56Speaker 5: She was moving identical. There was no difference. I was
- 32:59Speaker 5: literally looking at the little person that had been living
- 33:03Speaker 5: inside of me, and she was making the exact same
- 33:07Speaker 5: movements that she was doing in there, except now she
- 33:11Speaker 5: was upright, whereas before she was down there.
- 33:13Speaker 4: And you're like, are you kidding? Can we talk about
- 33:19Speaker 4: something that I know everyone's going to want to know
- 33:21Speaker 4: Ocean first meeting her?
- 33:23Speaker 3: You guys talk about it.
- 33:25Speaker 7: Ocean is the best big sister, like.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Tell us set the scene?
- 33:30Speaker 8: Where were you? When did she get to meet her?
- 33:32Speaker 7: All of it? Yeah.
- 33:34Speaker 5: I brought her to the hospital because I asked her,
- 33:36Speaker 5: I said, do you want to meet your baby's sister
- 33:38Speaker 5: at the hospital because that can be scary for kids.
- 33:41Speaker 5: Ocean does not like doctors. I said her, do you
- 33:43Speaker 5: want to wait until mom comes home? And she said
- 33:45Speaker 5: she wanted to come to the hospital. So Easton brought
- 33:48Speaker 5: her and she sits on the couch.
- 33:51Speaker 2: We have ADEO, we have a video.
- 33:54Speaker 7: But can I tell you to Easton is the best uncle.
- 33:58Speaker 5: Yes, thank you, we're emotional.
- 34:02Speaker 3: No, it's beautiful.
- 34:02Speaker 4: Everyone's gonna want to know if you are comfortable to
- 34:05Speaker 4: share unless you want to keep it it's a private moment.
- 34:08Speaker 7: No.
- 34:08Speaker 5: I think I am able to have such an amazing
- 34:13Speaker 5: podcast and able to share these things because I'm on
- 34:17Speaker 5: a show that's about my life and these moments weren't captured,
- 34:22Speaker 5: which you know, I do have my private moments, but
- 34:25Speaker 5: like you guys are all so supportive for listening to
- 34:28Speaker 5: the podcast, watching shows, following me on Instagram, like I
- 34:32Speaker 5: want you guys to be a part of this. But
- 34:35Speaker 5: she was so sweet and delicate, Oceanise, that when I
- 34:40Speaker 5: put her on, she looks at her and she's she's
- 34:43Speaker 5: so cute. Look at how little she is, mom. And
- 34:49Speaker 5: that's how the first meeting was. And then it was.
- 34:53Speaker 4: So suck. Watch me do a backflip.
- 35:00Speaker 5: To the baby, and she's like, I'm gonna take her swimming.
- 35:02Speaker 4: I'm like, none of we're not taking a swimming.
- 35:05Speaker 2: She wants to go to ball and bounds with her.
- 35:08Speaker 5: Oh yeah, she wants she wants to go down the
- 35:11Speaker 5: slide at candy Land.
- 35:12Speaker 2: Mom.
- 35:12Speaker 5: I'm like, she doesn't. She doesn't even know where she
- 35:16Speaker 5: is right now.
- 35:17Speaker 1: But Sosa, I thought it was really cute because she
- 35:20Speaker 1: gave her a gift, and I thought that was really so.
- 35:22Speaker 4: I gave ocean a gift that was aful idea. What's
- 35:25Speaker 4: together a baby? Oh, another baby?
- 35:29Speaker 5: A real It looks like a real baby. And if
- 35:32Speaker 5: you were to wake up and a light was on
- 35:34Speaker 5: it in the middle of the night, you may think
- 35:35Speaker 5: it's going to kill you.
- 35:36Speaker 4: But it's You may also think it's Summer Moon. Cute,
- 35:41Speaker 4: it's Summer Moon.
- 35:42Speaker 7: No, it's no.
- 35:44Speaker 4: The company may have a lawsuit because they took Summer Moon,
- 35:48Speaker 4: Summer Moon into an adult. It's like into the baby.
- 35:51Speaker 1: These babies that I bought Lauren as a child American.
- 35:56Speaker 5: And by the way, it doesn't seem like it's going
- 35:57Speaker 5: to kill you. It's the cutest baby. It just looks
- 36:00Speaker 5: so it looks real that if you were to wake
- 36:02Speaker 5: up and see, you'd be like, there's a baby watching
- 36:05Speaker 5: me in this room, right, And it's I say it,
- 36:07Speaker 5: but it's the.
- 36:07Speaker 7: Same brand that I bought her as a child.
- 36:10Speaker 5: And Ocean breastfeeds it while I breastfeeds.
- 36:12Speaker 2: So sad.
- 36:12Speaker 7: And then she asked me the other day.
- 36:15Speaker 5: I asked my mom because I went to, like I
- 36:18Speaker 5: told you guys, a parent mixer for Ocean School, because
- 36:21Speaker 5: I needed to feel like a human being. Still, I'm like,
- 36:23Speaker 5: I need adult interaction. I need to not be covered
- 36:26Speaker 5: and spit up and having my three year old bully
- 36:29Speaker 5: me at bad time. All right, I just needed five minutes.
- 36:34Speaker 5: So I asked my mom, can you please feed the baby?
- 36:38Speaker 5: And Ocean looks at her and she's just you have.
- 36:40Speaker 7: Milk and your boobies.
- 36:41Speaker 4: G Ocean is so freaking cute. She's so cute with
- 36:48Speaker 4: the baby. I do have a question though, because everyone
- 36:51Speaker 4: wrote in and remember they warned you. They were like,
- 36:53Speaker 4: she's gonna act out, just be prepared to have you
- 36:56Speaker 4: had any moments like that are pretty much pretty good.
- 36:59Speaker 5: Here's what it is. Ocean is a firecracker, right, she
- 37:03Speaker 5: is the Ocean. She can be calm one minute and
- 37:06Speaker 5: then the next minute, we've got a rogue wave, duck
- 37:09Speaker 5: and fucking cover wherever you possibly can.
- 37:11Speaker 7: Right.
- 37:13Speaker 5: So, I think it's less that she's acting out and
- 37:16Speaker 5: more that I can't designate all my time to just
- 37:20Speaker 5: her when she goes through those moments. I don't feel
- 37:23Speaker 5: like she's changed. No, No, it's just more now where
- 37:28Speaker 5: it's like the whole household is having to tap in.
- 37:31Speaker 5: Like this morning, you should have seen me and Lise.
- 37:33Speaker 5: I woke up at six point thirty to feed Ocean,
- 37:35Speaker 5: got in my bed, we got her off to school.
- 37:38Speaker 5: Thank God for Teti, who drove her to school. The
- 37:41Speaker 5: moment she was out of the house and Sosa was asleep,
- 37:45Speaker 5: Lisa and I were passing each other on the stairs
- 37:47Speaker 5: with a basket of laundry.
- 37:50Speaker 7: It's like in the dishwasher.
- 37:51Speaker 2: It was like, oh, yeah, we have a minute.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Life has changed a bedding dress for the day. I
- 37:56Speaker 1: usually don't even get dressed anymore.
- 37:58Speaker 2: You don't have time. I've seen it, but he does.
- 38:01Speaker 4: Moms used to say, or moms, I would hear. Moms
- 38:04Speaker 4: be like, you don't know how thankful you are to
- 38:07Speaker 4: like just have a moment in the shower. And I
- 38:10Speaker 4: used to be like that is so dramatic, Like what
- 38:12Speaker 4: do you mean to have a moment in the shower?
- 38:14Speaker 4: You have kids, like you can get in the shower.
- 38:15Speaker 4: But from what I hear, Yeah, that's real.
- 38:19Speaker 7: I'm not even the contacts and I'm doing.
- 38:23Speaker 6: There was a comedian and he said, when you have kids,
- 38:26Speaker 6: you have no idea how much you enjoy shutting that
- 38:29Speaker 6: back door and the quiet walk to your own door
- 38:34Speaker 6: is like when you're in your car. Wow, I never
- 38:37Speaker 6: really noticed that. Yeah, Like after I put Ocean in
- 38:39Speaker 6: the car and I shut her door, I'm like, all right,
- 38:41Speaker 6: five second.
- 38:42Speaker 5: It's a.
- 38:48Speaker 7: Kids the best.
- 38:50Speaker 2: They're just talking all the time.
- 38:52Speaker 7: No, there's nothing better. Look at me.
- 38:55Speaker 1: I'm widowed, and what would I where would I be
- 38:58Speaker 1: if I didn't have these two angels.
- 39:00Speaker 5: That's true.
- 39:02Speaker 7: I love to.
- 39:03Speaker 2: Say thank you.
- 39:04Speaker 6: You really are amazing, and I don't we tell you
- 39:06Speaker 6: all the time, but I have to let everybody else
- 39:08Speaker 6: know that you really are gold, and thank you for
- 39:11Speaker 6: just keeping everybody up right.
- 39:13Speaker 2: You're the rock.
- 39:13Speaker 7: I really do. But kids are a treasure.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Kids are a treasure.
- 39:17Speaker 5: But again, if you don't want them, no judgment.
- 39:21Speaker 6: It is.
- 39:22Speaker 7: I have a friend that never had kids, you guys.
- 39:24Speaker 7: She and her husband, they travel the countryside.
- 39:26Speaker 5: They okay.
- 39:29Speaker 4: See, this is why it's so funny because every time
- 39:31Speaker 4: I talk to and I know that's not what this is,
- 39:33Speaker 4: but they're like, you know, I don't get sleep. I
- 39:36Speaker 4: am I haven't showered in weeks. I uh, you know,
- 39:40Speaker 4: am miserable. But kids are just a treasure. Oh my god, but.
- 39:44Speaker 2: That sounds selfish.
- 39:45Speaker 6: Every time I see people like I don't want kids,
- 39:47Speaker 6: I'm like, you are a selfish motherfucker?
- 39:49Speaker 4: Really?
- 39:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I need sleep, I want to do what
- 39:52Speaker 2: I want.
- 39:52Speaker 1: It's like, okay, and then your kids give you these
- 39:55Speaker 1: beautiful grandkids.
- 39:56Speaker 4: See see that might be me though, you guys, maybe
- 39:59Speaker 4: I'll be this selfish auntie because I've got so I've
- 40:02Speaker 4: got oh, I've.
- 40:03Speaker 5: Got Carter now, like I've got.
- 40:04Speaker 4: So many babies.
- 40:05Speaker 5: I'm like, you got three kids, and you get like
- 40:08Speaker 5: the best part, Like when they act up, you don't
- 40:10Speaker 5: have to deal with it, when they discover their private.
- 40:13Speaker 2: Part, you don't have to deal with that.
- 40:15Speaker 4: I grabbed my person.
- 40:18Speaker 2: That's a that's a mama talk.
- 40:22Speaker 5: Who I will say, if you don't want like the
- 40:26Speaker 5: women who come to me and they're like, I just
- 40:28Speaker 5: don't know if I want kids, I'm like, then don't
- 40:30Speaker 5: have them.
- 40:30Speaker 7: You need to know.
- 40:32Speaker 5: You it's if you if you feel like you want
- 40:34Speaker 5: kids but you're waiting to be ready, you'll never be ready.
- 40:37Speaker 5: But if you don't know, don't do it right.
- 40:41Speaker 4: Okay, So in this on that note, do you feel
- 40:44Speaker 4: that it seems you do the one is What do
- 40:47Speaker 4: you think about the statement one is one, two is twenty?
- 40:50Speaker 5: I think because I prepared myself so many people were
- 40:53Speaker 5: like saying things like that or two kids is no
- 40:56Speaker 5: joke that I prepared myself for it to be really hard,
- 41:00Speaker 5: and I know that those moments are gonna come where
- 41:03Speaker 5: it's like this is unbearable. I think we've got a
- 41:06Speaker 5: good system where we can pass. Like Lisa was at
- 41:09Speaker 5: her wits end last night. I could feel it.
- 41:11Speaker 1: Well, she was get done home and we tried to
- 41:15Speaker 1: put her to bed and she spills water all over
- 41:18Speaker 1: her bed.
- 41:19Speaker 2: Well, no, you gotta say.
- 41:20Speaker 6: She gets into her backpack for today, last night, lunch
- 41:26Speaker 6: for tomorrow.
- 41:27Speaker 4: Yeah, she isn't me, that is that is me. She
- 41:31Speaker 4: got I am her.
- 41:32Speaker 1: She got in and got the seaweed and then all
- 41:34Speaker 1: of a sudden, I hear bawling and she's.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Like bite.
- 41:39Speaker 5: And we're like, wow, what are you doing that? You
- 41:41Speaker 5: would bite your tongue at ten pm?
- 41:44Speaker 4: Go to bed.
- 41:45Speaker 7: No, she kept coming out, and then she'd come out
- 41:47Speaker 7: last night. What was she saying?
- 41:49Speaker 5: It's really cute because we put her to bed and
- 41:51Speaker 5: then we watched shows and then like there and she'll
- 41:55Speaker 5: cut all seriously and she mom, I really like that
- 41:58Speaker 5: sounds that song. And I'm like, I'll download it and
- 42:01Speaker 5: we'll listen to it on the way to school tomorrow.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Like a bad monkey. She or, no, not bad monkey.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It was perfect couple.
- 42:07Speaker 7: Every couple she saw the theme song of That and
- 42:10Speaker 7: the Criminals.
- 42:10Speaker 5: By Megan Trainer. She's obsessed. She'd come out of her
- 42:13Speaker 5: room like this.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Oh, no, is that why she likes the criminal thing.
- 42:16Speaker 6: She's always like, you're going to jail, jail, you were bad,
- 42:20Speaker 6: You're going to jail.
- 42:21Speaker 1: I love it, Can I tell you? We put her
- 42:24Speaker 1: in her jammy, She got in bed. Then she comes
- 42:26Speaker 1: out in a full princess Tiara high yells the whole
- 42:32Speaker 1: nine yards, telling us she loves the song and dancing.
- 42:36Speaker 5: I was telling mom, we got to take the toys
- 42:39Speaker 5: out of her room.
- 42:40Speaker 7: Oh, because I wanted her. I was stacked with toys
- 42:43Speaker 7: and books. There's no place for her.
- 42:45Speaker 1: So then last night she spills the water all over
- 42:47Speaker 1: the bed, Like, did you do this on purpose so
- 42:50Speaker 1: you can get in my bed or your mom's bed?
- 42:52Speaker 7: Or was this?
- 42:53Speaker 5: She's so smart.
- 42:54Speaker 4: I wouldn't put that past her.
- 42:55Speaker 7: She's so smart.
- 42:56Speaker 5: No, she did chilled on purpose.
- 42:58Speaker 6: No, she did because I know this because and I
- 43:00Speaker 6: was watching her when you were in the hospital.
- 43:02Speaker 2: She will grab her water and put the lid on.
- 43:05Speaker 1: Yeah, she did it five six times, so yeah, No,
- 43:10Speaker 1: she ended up sleeping with me, and then she trotted
- 43:13Speaker 1: it too her mother's room.
- 43:14Speaker 7: At what six.
- 43:15Speaker 4: She trotted six?
- 43:17Speaker 5: What was I had just fed? So it was probably
- 43:19Speaker 5: three oh three okay, three yourself. Yeah, she was, mom,
- 43:24Speaker 5: you need to cuddle me.
- 43:25Speaker 7: No, but this is what happened. You came down into
- 43:28Speaker 7: my room and you tried to turn her.
- 43:31Speaker 5: Oh, make it so my child doesn't slide off the bed.
- 43:38Speaker 5: She was like schowamp. Her feet were like off. So
- 43:42Speaker 5: I turned her vertically and then she woke up and
- 43:45Speaker 5: put her head on what's called a pillow. She moves
- 43:49Speaker 5: a lot, and Lisa goes, well, that's why she came
- 43:52Speaker 5: in and moved her.
- 43:53Speaker 2: I was like, I did.
- 43:58Speaker 4: I did.
- 44:00Speaker 7: Her so much. That's just so. I was just angry
- 44:02Speaker 7: that you took her from me.
- 44:03Speaker 5: I'm kidding, No, it was I got it though. You
- 44:06Speaker 5: weren't like you weren't mad, but you were ready for bed.
- 44:09Speaker 5: It was like we had tried to put her down
- 44:11Speaker 5: for like three hours. It was like enough already. And
- 44:14Speaker 5: then I'm thinking we'll clean out the toys. But then
- 44:17Speaker 5: she keeps putting on her clothes. I'm like, I'm gonna
- 44:18Speaker 5: have to clear out the whole closet.
- 44:21Speaker 4: She's so this is such to me, such a good sign,
- 44:24Speaker 4: because she's so imaginative. She is up, she's thinking, she's playing.
- 44:29Speaker 4: She's not like head in the iPad up.
- 44:33Speaker 2: Creative.
- 44:34Speaker 5: Let's just say this. When I went to this get
- 44:38Speaker 5: together at her school where they had a bunch of
- 44:41Speaker 5: people come in to talk about elementary school, my first
- 44:46Speaker 5: question was, are you more academic or are you more creative?
- 44:50Speaker 5: My kids are creative?
- 44:52Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think that's going to be more academic.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 44:55Speaker 5: We'll see.
- 44:59Speaker 2: Though she will be Will.
- 45:03Speaker 4: Can I ask law? Because I know some people have
- 45:06Speaker 4: asked and ask society would consider you a single mom,
- 45:12Speaker 4: even though I know you don't say that because you
- 45:14Speaker 4: have you know.
- 45:15Speaker 2: Age.
- 45:17Speaker 5: Do you have.
- 45:18Speaker 8: Are you comfortable talking about the help you have right now?
- 45:21Speaker 4: If any?
- 45:21Speaker 7: Yes?
- 45:22Speaker 3: Of course.
- 45:22Speaker 5: I think it's important to talk about the help that
- 45:25Speaker 5: you have. And I also think it's important for moms
- 45:27Speaker 5: to know that when you are at your wits end,
- 45:30Speaker 5: if you need to tap in a friend and you
- 45:32Speaker 5: say it's too much for me, I need a moment
- 45:35Speaker 5: and a break to not feel guilty. Even if your
- 45:37Speaker 5: baby is two weeks old and it's new and you're like,
- 45:40Speaker 5: how do I already need a break? You need a break?
- 45:44Speaker 1: Like and it's okay to ask, and it's okay to
- 45:46Speaker 1: ask for help.
- 45:47Speaker 5: It's also okay to be like wow, I have this
- 45:50Speaker 5: beautiful new baby. Why am I not happy?
- 45:52Speaker 2: Put your put your oxygen mask on first.
- 45:55Speaker 5: Yes, before helping others. If you have just given birth
- 45:59Speaker 5: and you're like, why am I not connecting? Why do
- 46:02Speaker 5: I not feel happy? Because you just gave birth to
- 46:05Speaker 5: a human and it's a lot and there's a lot
- 46:07Speaker 5: of hormones happening and chemical imbalances. It's all good. Reach
- 46:12Speaker 5: out and talk to somebody about it. The help that
- 46:15Speaker 5: I have, I obviously have my brother Easton. I have
- 46:19Speaker 5: my mom, who's a tremendous amount of help. I am
- 46:23Speaker 5: fortunate enough to have been able to bring on a
- 46:26Speaker 5: night nurse who takes care of Sosa three nights a
- 46:30Speaker 5: week so that I can get some sleep and I
- 46:32Speaker 5: only have to wake up to pump. Right now, I
- 46:35Speaker 5: have a doula that I'm fortunate enough to bring in
- 46:38Speaker 5: so that I can be here in podcasts with you guys.
- 46:41Speaker 4: What's a doula like a nanny or like an infant
- 46:44Speaker 4: nanny or something.
- 46:45Speaker 5: A doula is someone she's trained as a night nurse
- 46:48Speaker 5: as well, but adula is someone that you bring on
- 46:51Speaker 5: and it's you can bring them on from the time
- 46:54Speaker 5: you get pregnant. They kind of help you through your
- 46:56Speaker 5: pregnancy in this stage of motherhood and baby's life. There
- 47:02Speaker 5: they're professionals on right, Like and nanny I would bring
- 47:05Speaker 5: on when my child's a little bit older. Nan Ocean's
- 47:09Speaker 5: first nanny was when she was four months. So a
- 47:14Speaker 5: doula is just someone who's like really trained on the
- 47:17Speaker 5: beginning stages of motherhood and baby's life.
- 47:20Speaker 7: Okay, and your night nurse helps to sleep train.
- 47:24Speaker 5: Yep, sleep train, get you, get me, sleep washes the pump,
- 47:29Speaker 5: put sit outside my door so that I can just
- 47:32Speaker 5: wake up feed. I send her a text milk's ready,
- 47:35Speaker 5: she grabs it. I have. Again, I'm fortunate enough to
- 47:39Speaker 5: have the help that I have. And that's why when
- 47:43Speaker 5: I say I'm a single mom, I don't really feel
- 47:45Speaker 5: great about using that because I know single moms who
- 47:49Speaker 5: are working two three jobs and I.
- 47:51Speaker 7: Don't know how single moms do what they do.
- 47:54Speaker 5: Yeah, super like, No, they're superheroes, they really are. Yeah, truly,
- 47:59Speaker 5: I'm am in the sense that I'm a single income household,
- 48:04Speaker 5: which there are many moms who do that, and that's
- 48:07Speaker 5: why I think they consider me a single parent. In
- 48:10Speaker 5: the state of California, but I don't feel that way. Yeah,
- 48:15Speaker 5: I feel like you have a lot of support. Yeah,
- 48:17Speaker 5: I don't feel that way. I do have a lot
- 48:19Speaker 5: of support.
- 48:20Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 48:20Speaker 4: No, thank you for being like open and honest with that,
- 48:22Speaker 4: because that is like something I definitely realized. I think
- 48:25Speaker 4: as a nanny too. It is just like, oh, interesting
- 48:28Speaker 4: to see, you know, as a nanny years ago, like
- 48:32Speaker 4: these certain families who get a lot of help, even
- 48:35Speaker 4: the single moms and single parents versus maybe a friend
- 48:39Speaker 4: of mine who just had a baby but got a
- 48:41Speaker 4: divorce and like what she's So it's everyone's on.
- 48:45Speaker 8: You know, there's a whole spectrum. But thank you for
- 48:47Speaker 8: talking about it.
- 48:48Speaker 1: And I think postpudent depression needs to be talked about
- 48:51Speaker 1: a lot because I.
- 48:52Speaker 7: Suffered from it.
- 48:54Speaker 1: And you're taking your placenta pills, yeah, and that wasn't
- 48:58Speaker 1: a thing.
- 48:58Speaker 7: When I was going through mine.
- 49:00Speaker 5: No, And a lot of a lot of people wrote
- 49:02Speaker 5: in and they were very anti. And this is me
- 49:06Speaker 5: letting you know my experience with taking my placenta in
- 49:10Speaker 5: a capsule form, I have noticed it helps me tremendously.
- 49:16Speaker 5: At the beginning of this pregnancy or birth, I was
- 49:20Speaker 5: sobbing a lot and my mom would say, she's been
- 49:24Speaker 5: the one that's telling me like, did you take your
- 49:26Speaker 5: placenta pills? Cares for care, far, cares far.
- 49:30Speaker 2: But I liked it.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I lived postpartum depression, I wrote firsthand.
- 49:37Speaker 5: So from my age rough I cannot even imagine. So
- 49:41Speaker 5: from my experience, it has helped me a lot. When
- 49:45Speaker 5: I feel like my mood is plummeting and I'm kind
- 49:48Speaker 5: of going, why am I feeling this way? I get
- 49:51Speaker 5: to like, chill with my baby and live a beautiful life.
- 49:56Speaker 5: If you're feeling depressed, I mean, I wreck amend you
- 50:00Speaker 5: reach out to a doctor, but I would not like
- 50:04Speaker 5: shit on taking your your placenta home or having someone encapsulated.
- 50:09Speaker 4: My sister did not do it, and she did regret it,
- 50:12Speaker 4: and she would be fine with me focusing or mentioning that.
- 50:15Speaker 4: Speaking of placenta, though, I will mention I handled Lalla's
- 50:18Speaker 4: plica like.
- 50:20Speaker 5: No, no, no, but I feel can I tell you if
- 50:22Speaker 5: I were more together? But I had just had the baby.
- 50:26Speaker 2: And I was and I was exhausted.
- 50:29Speaker 5: But over looking over at you do that. I after
- 50:34Speaker 5: I got some sleep, I was like, I cannot believe
- 50:37Speaker 5: I allowed Jessica to do that.
- 50:40Speaker 4: What are you talking about? I felt like such a
- 50:42Speaker 4: bad bitch. They were like you. So basically, what I
- 50:45Speaker 4: understand is I don't think that the hospital can only
- 50:48Speaker 4: handle your placenta to a certain extent. They can't put
- 50:51Speaker 4: it in the coolers and stuff because that's for the
- 50:54Speaker 4: company that does the placenta capsules. So the nurse was like, yeah,
- 50:59Speaker 4: we can only do this. So I put the gloves on,
- 51:02Speaker 4: I got the placenta out of the pan, dumped it into.
- 51:04Speaker 3: Where it needed to be. It looked like, you know,
- 51:06Speaker 3: like meats and.
- 51:08Speaker 7: A sausage painting roast.
- 51:13Speaker 4: And I dumped it on in and I said, oh,
- 51:15Speaker 4: there's a lot on dumped it ruller and then we
- 51:19Speaker 4: filled it. We put ice around it, and it was.
- 51:22Speaker 7: And then got picked up.
- 51:23Speaker 3: I was pretending I was.
- 51:24Speaker 4: In Rai's Anatomy.
- 51:25Speaker 8: I was in such a scene. I was like putting
- 51:27Speaker 8: the gloves on, washing the.
- 51:28Speaker 2: Hands, I giving rat Race with the heart.
- 51:32Speaker 8: I don't even remember that seed, but yet.
- 51:37Speaker 5: I love that movie. No, the placenta pills are everything.
- 51:42Speaker 5: I recommend if.
- 51:45Speaker 6: You don't sort to interrupt, If you don't do placenta pills,
- 51:48Speaker 6: is there another alternate route you could take?
- 51:52Speaker 5: You can take it home and like eat it as
- 51:54Speaker 5: you turn it into for postpartum depression. Well yeah, just
- 51:58Speaker 5: for we're postpartum depression.
- 52:00Speaker 7: I am elve shots, that's what I like.
- 52:02Speaker 6: If you don't eat, like, if you disregard your placenta
- 52:05Speaker 6: like that, like what do like.
- 52:09Speaker 7: Shots?
- 52:09Speaker 1: And then they also can put you on depression medication,
- 52:13Speaker 1: which I opted against because I was too afraid.
- 52:16Speaker 5: But you said now because it was a different day.
- 52:18Speaker 5: In fact, then you said now, you would have done
- 52:21Speaker 5: that right. And I am saying it is not proven
- 52:25Speaker 5: that the placenta pills cure or help your postpartum depression
- 52:32Speaker 5: if you suffer from that. I am talking about from
- 52:34Speaker 5: my personal experience, it has helped level me out. Whether
- 52:38Speaker 5: that's scientifically proven or.
- 52:40Speaker 2: Not, placebo effect or whatever is, it helps.
- 52:44Speaker 5: So I'm saying, reach out to somebody, a professional if
- 52:49Speaker 5: you are struggling.
- 52:50Speaker 7: Even a friend. You guys like, make it known. I'm
- 52:53Speaker 7: struggling today. I need help.
- 52:55Speaker 5: I know that it will pass.
- 52:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:59Speaker 5: Yeah, I am so happy that she is here. And
- 53:03Speaker 5: I will say, already she's she's two weeks and I'm
- 53:09Speaker 5: not entirely sure that I'm done.
- 53:14Speaker 2: She told me she was done.
- 53:17Speaker 1: I know she brought her first, brought her home, and
- 53:19Speaker 1: I said too early to tell, too early.
- 53:22Speaker 4: You really think you could have another?
- 53:23Speaker 5: I'm I just like love the whole thing.
- 53:28Speaker 7: Well, and she's like she's born to have kids.
- 53:30Speaker 1: Hello, bounce back. Yeah, the whole pregnancy. Like you, you're
- 53:34Speaker 1: really blessed. You really are well.
- 53:36Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 53:36Speaker 5: Beyond that, I just enjoy it. They give me so much.
- 53:40Speaker 7: Mama too, you are the best mom. You're beautiful at
- 53:46Speaker 7: what you do.
- 53:47Speaker 2: Like I wish everybody could see how great you are.
- 53:51Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 53:52Speaker 5: I think I'm glad that no one gets to see
- 53:56Speaker 5: that part because it's so special.
- 53:59Speaker 4: I like, I love it.
- 54:00Speaker 7: I love Lalla.
- 54:01Speaker 1: She'll have like the baby on the boob and then
- 54:04Speaker 1: she's fixing oceans.
- 54:07Speaker 7: It's really beautiful to I.
- 54:09Speaker 2: Love seeing my sister in that position. It really is
- 54:11Speaker 2: amazing and beautiful.
- 54:12Speaker 4: Thank you, of.
- 54:13Speaker 3: Course, best mom.
- 54:13Speaker 4: I'm so happy from the best mama A.
- 54:17Speaker 7: Guys, Yeah, yeah, I'm very proud of you.
- 54:20Speaker 4: Were so welcome to the world. Miss so suck.
- 54:24Speaker 7: I love it.
- 54:26Speaker 5: Should we do ache and Relief?
- 54:28Speaker 7: Yeah, let's do it.
- 54:30Speaker 5: You got off like pretty easy, though, because you were
- 54:32Speaker 5: supposed to be hosting the whole episode, and she's like,
- 54:35Speaker 5: She's like, you got a.
- 54:36Speaker 4: Good night's sleep, Why don't you come in and talk
- 54:38Speaker 4: about her? All right, I'll come.
- 54:41Speaker 5: Oh, do you want to start us off on the
- 54:43Speaker 5: aching release?
- 54:44Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't really have any aches because I've
- 54:48Speaker 1: been in such bliss with this baby.
- 54:49Speaker 4: I love it.
- 54:50Speaker 5: So this is the only episode that I would allow
- 54:53Speaker 5: you to get away with no egg.
- 54:55Speaker 7: Yeah, I have no aches. I just adore those kids
- 54:58Speaker 7: that you've brought into this world.
- 55:00Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 55:00Speaker 2: Love them and your relief.
- 55:02Speaker 4: They love the g they I mean, you have like
- 55:07Speaker 4: the classiest, like funniest gig.
- 55:11Speaker 8: I was gonna say Grandma, but I'm like, no, it
- 55:13Speaker 8: doesn't work with me.
- 55:14Speaker 7: I'm the g Yeah, I love Leno.
- 55:16Speaker 6: She says, Hey, g can I go and pick her
- 55:19Speaker 6: up sometimes from school when they can or learns like
- 55:21Speaker 6: working or something law.
- 55:22Speaker 2: Sorry, Like I'll go.
- 55:24Speaker 6: And get her and like I wake her up in
- 55:26Speaker 6: her knapsack, and sometimes she'll look at me and go where, Mama,
- 55:29Speaker 6: where Gigi. I'm like, well, I'm here, you little shit.
- 55:31Speaker 5: That made me so happy. The other day I surprised
- 55:34Speaker 5: her and picked her up from school, and she didn't
- 55:37Speaker 5: realize that, like I was there because you know, Easton's
- 55:39Speaker 5: been taking her and she sees Brock and she's a
- 55:43Speaker 5: little disoriented because she just had nap time, and so
- 55:46Speaker 5: I've been down. I go, hi baby, and she's mama
- 55:51Speaker 5: and she was.
- 55:52Speaker 6: Yes, it was like the best picking her up when
- 55:55Speaker 6: she's in like in her nap time.
- 55:57Speaker 2: Yeah, there's nothing better.
- 55:59Speaker 4: She's so cute. I love seeing her.
- 56:01Speaker 7: Hi good.
- 56:03Speaker 2: I love when you tell her that it's really.
- 56:07Speaker 5: Tt what's your ache and relief?
- 56:10Speaker 6: My relief is this baby just being here and just
- 56:13Speaker 6: the energy and the aura in the house and just everything.
- 56:16Speaker 6: I'm very very I'm I feel at home at home.
- 56:20Speaker 6: It sounds weird, but like I feel great.
- 56:22Speaker 2: And my ache is what I've just told you guys.
- 56:25Speaker 2: I feel just very off and I don't know why.
- 56:28Speaker 6: So I feel off today and I'm hoping it's it'll pass.
- 56:33Speaker 5: It will pass.
- 56:34Speaker 6: So yeah, No, I have a lot of tools that
- 56:36Speaker 6: I can use. I've got an amazing family, and like.
- 56:38Speaker 2: I said, home feels like home. So I feel like that.
- 56:41Speaker 2: My ache is just I don't feel like I should.
- 56:43Speaker 6: Be and everything like that, and I got to just
- 56:46Speaker 6: get over that hump. But I do want to say
- 56:48Speaker 6: thank you to everybody who d ms me and sees
- 56:52Speaker 6: how I'm doing with the mental issues I you know,
- 56:55Speaker 6: voiced and things.
- 56:56Speaker 2: So that's just what the ache is. It's here again
- 56:59Speaker 2: kind of it comes in wave. So that's okay. But
- 57:01Speaker 2: thank you to.
- 57:01Speaker 6: Everybody, and we love you back, love you, love you, guys,
- 57:04Speaker 6: so thank you.
- 57:05Speaker 8: Thanks for being honest about that too, and just feeling off.
- 57:09Speaker 4: Maybe try Lalla's placenti pills. I said, I'd be like, Okay,
- 57:19Speaker 4: take a nap.
- 57:20Speaker 3: Cannibalism.
- 57:21Speaker 2: That is cannibalism, read a book at home, read it.
- 57:25Speaker 1: But you sit out in the sun and read a
- 57:27Speaker 1: book sunshine.
- 57:28Speaker 4: Yeah, twenty minutes of sunshine a day, uninterrupted.
- 57:32Speaker 3: Guys.
- 57:32Speaker 2: Yes, that's what I need. But there it is.
- 57:34Speaker 4: Yeah, onto you to me my ache and relief. My
- 57:38Speaker 4: relief is definitely just being able to be present for
- 57:41Speaker 4: baby Sosa. That was like a gift you gave me
- 57:43Speaker 4: and it was beautiful.
- 57:44Speaker 5: I was so happy to have you.
- 57:46Speaker 4: It was amazing. And also baby Carter being born just
- 57:52Speaker 4: a few days later. I'm an auntie.
- 57:56Speaker 5: Too, right, he was on the fifth a little boyfriend
- 57:58Speaker 5: and girlfriend six or.
- 57:59Speaker 4: The seventh, Okay, yeah, possibly, we'll see He's a just
- 58:05Speaker 4: a cuteie patuity, and so that is my relief. My
- 58:09Speaker 4: ache is that I haven't met him yet, but I
- 58:11Speaker 4: am going home October second to the fifth, so I
- 58:14Speaker 4: will be meeting him, chilling with him, bringing him to
- 58:17Speaker 4: jiu jitsu, so that I won't be bringing him. Everyone relaxed.
- 58:23Speaker 4: I'm not gonna be that's.
- 58:25Speaker 5: Messed up, Jessica.
- 58:26Speaker 4: He's a baby. He's a baby. No, he's so cute.
- 58:32Speaker 5: And you sent your sister like the best of the best,
- 58:35Speaker 5: like postpartum.
- 58:36Speaker 8: Yeah, thank you Bige for helping out too with that.
- 58:39Speaker 5: Well, you know, I just love when babies come into
- 58:42Speaker 5: the mix. Yeah, I have a friend who's.
- 58:44Speaker 7: Trying the best.
- 58:46Speaker 4: It is.
- 58:46Speaker 7: It's so the best, Jerry, it's the best.
- 58:52Speaker 5: So I have I do have an ache, and I
- 58:55Speaker 5: obviously have a relief. Okay, I'll do my relief first.
- 59:00Speaker 5: My relief is when I was pregnant with Sosa, because
- 59:04Speaker 5: it was a different pregnancy, and I've been very open
- 59:07Speaker 5: about this. I'm like, how will I ever love anybody
- 59:11Speaker 5: my own child, even as much as I love Ocean Kent, Like,
- 59:15Speaker 5: there's no freaking way. And I had prepared myself. I
- 59:19Speaker 5: had prepared myself during childbirth. I was like, she may
- 59:22Speaker 5: come out and you may have a different reaction than
- 59:25Speaker 5: you're expecting, and you may have it may take some time.
- 59:30Speaker 5: And the moment she popped out, I was like, oh
- 59:33Speaker 5: my gosh, I know what people mean, like, you have
- 59:36Speaker 5: more love to give. You're fully capable, you love them
- 59:40Speaker 5: the exact same, but you love your kids differently, right,
- 59:44Speaker 5: So that was a huge relief that when she popped out,
- 59:47Speaker 5: and even now, like I can't I mean, I'm just
- 59:49Speaker 5: like I can't get enough of her, Like at night
- 59:53Speaker 5: when it's just me and her and she's on the
- 59:54Speaker 5: boob and we're just gazing at each other because that's
- 59:57Speaker 5: the bonding moment right for me and her, and I'm
- 59:59Speaker 5: just I'm fucking obsessed with her, Okay, So that was
- 1:00:05Speaker 5: a huge release. Yeah, my ache is I'm upset that
- 1:00:10Speaker 5: we are not more progressive with the breastfeeding thing. I
- 1:00:14Speaker 5: don't like that it's kind of something where it's pushed
- 1:00:20Speaker 5: on you breastfeeding. It's not asked in hospitals. They just
- 1:00:25Speaker 5: say we're sending in the lactation specialist instead of saying
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: do you plan on breastfeeding? Are you interested? Is it
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: something you'd like to know more about. If so, we'll
- 1:00:36Speaker 5: send in a specialist. I wish that it were more
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: like that, and I would think in twenty twenty four
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: it would be more like that, because number one, it's
- 1:00:48Speaker 5: extremely difficult.
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: It can be.
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: I've had friends where it's like it's so isolating. I
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: don't want to breastfeed my baby. I don't like it.
- 1:00:55Speaker 5: It depresses me. I feel like moms should be able
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: to make the call instead of like they've freshly just
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: given birth and it's like lactation specialist. It's like, well,
- 1:01:04Speaker 5: hold on, like this wasn't a part of my plan.
- 1:01:06Speaker 5: So that is my ache. Because it happened to your sister.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: It's a great acre. It did happen to her. She
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: is now officially bottle feeding the baby. But you guys,
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: I did she allowed me to stay on here. She
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: went in with a plan of bottle feeding. Everyone around
- 1:01:20Speaker 4: her knew she ended up getting There was a lot
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: that went on during her labor. She did end up
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: getting a little pressured to breastfeed. She did end up
- 1:01:29Speaker 4: trying it against a lot of our wishes against her,
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: and she was like, this is why I had a plan.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: And now she's on the bottle. But yes, I'm glad
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: you said that.
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: Yeah, well, can I make a statement as well? Yes?
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: I thought it was weird because we got a second
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: room for me to stay.
- 1:01:44Speaker 5: Yeah, they called it the dad's room.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: Yeah, that's not progressive, Like we're in LA if they're
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: calling it the dad's.
- 1:01:51Speaker 6: La right, and now they don't need it's the primary bedroom.
- 1:01:56Speaker 4: Yeah, as a master yeah.
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: But they're still using that term.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: And medical yes, and like what if you had a
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I stayed in the dad's room.
- 1:02:03Speaker 4: It's like what if you're a single mom or you
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: had a wife.
- 1:02:07Speaker 7: Yeah, just throw that out there.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: Thank you, Lise.
- 1:02:11Speaker 5: That was the best though. When I filled out the
- 1:02:13Speaker 5: birth certificate and there was no dad information and I
- 1:02:16Speaker 5: get a phone call. They're like, Hi, we're wondering if
- 1:02:18Speaker 5: we can come by your room to talk about so
- 1:02:22Speaker 5: say's birth certificate. And I was like, I know where
- 1:02:25Speaker 5: they're coming. They were like, so, hun, are we just
- 1:02:27Speaker 5: not interested in putting the dad's information? I go, I
- 1:02:29Speaker 5: got a sperm donor and they go, well, great, perfect,
- 1:02:33Speaker 5: that's all we needed to know.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: No, thank you dad. It is interesting. It's very interesting still,
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: the energy of like are we not even the question,
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: and I know that they meant well by it, and
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: they were great, but the question even of like do
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: you not want to put the dad?
- 1:02:49Speaker 6: But I can see where they're coming from because the
- 1:02:50Speaker 6: baby just was born.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: All of this is going on.
- 1:02:53Speaker 6: Who knows if the dad was like, oh I got
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: to fill that out, his mind was elsewhere.
- 1:02:56Speaker 2: I can see where.
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: I was not offended by them coming in. But it
- 1:03:00Speaker 5: was so nice because it was my first experience being like.
- 1:03:05Speaker 7: A baby, she's just your.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: I love it.
- 1:03:10Speaker 5: I'm so happy that I got to come in and
- 1:03:13Speaker 5: be with you. Guys.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: We're glad you came in too.
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: Made my job really.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Didn't want it.
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: Well, this is your episode, so take us out.
