- 0:00Hey, loser, your mom called Jes said globe Globe won day. You'll
- 0:07be more haunted by those words than I am. Why aren't you crying?
- 0:12I wish I could cry. Tears would cleanse my soul. Oh, now
- 0:19you're very brief. Go ahead beat me up. Maybe then I'll feel something.
- 0:25Whoa forefinger discount dude, Welcome to forfigure discount where. This week we're
- 0:47going to be reviewing episode six of season nineteen of The Simpsons. It is
- 0:51a little often Millie. I'm Dando, and I am going we correct.
- 0:54It's a Millhouse of a side. What a shock. I certainly did not
- 0:58see that coming, But yeah, we've got a mill House episode. I
- 1:02thought it is one of the more enjoyable Millhouse episodes we've had in a while,
- 1:04because I liked seeing him as the cool kid and not when he thinks
- 1:07he's cool. But is it still a dog? It's no. People genuinely
- 1:11liked Millhouse. This is the first time I've seen people actually like Millhouse,
- 1:15genuinely liked Millhouse or intrigued by him. Because this is a it's a one
- 1:19to eighty degree shift. We're our favorite Dorcas Malocus, our favorite nerd what
- 1:25else point dexter? Poindexter the dud, that's dud. Don't you feel bad
- 1:30for someone whose actual surname is Poindexter? Is the people whose neck surname is
- 1:36that. There's an actor named Larry Poindexter. I've seen him pop up in
- 1:40a few eighties movies, and he's just an average, straight looking guy.
- 1:42He's got a fake Hollywood name. No, well, why would you call
- 1:46yourself Larry Point? You're going to be memorable, aren't you? That's true?
- 1:49It was that was stick? Did you have like a He didn't have
- 1:51stick. He was just a guy, just a guy, Okay, Yeah,
- 1:53he just played like bureaucrats or diplomats. I saw him in a couple
- 1:57of action movies, and it was usual the guy who said, hey,
- 2:01American ninja, they've got raids in this country, what about the race of
- 2:05that little girl? Something like that? Actually no, no, he wasn't
- 2:07like he was like this. Actually no, he was nothing like He was
- 2:10a nothing like that. That was the American ninja who was saying, what
- 2:13about the race that girl? He was the guy who would he was the
- 2:16Walter Peck. He was the guy who would try to keep people on the
- 2:20straight and narrow, so I guess he was aptly named. But I blame
- 2:23young EMC for this that so I do for many things. You know,
- 2:25standing on the wall like you were, pointdexter, suddenly everyone goes point texter.
- 2:30What a name the thing is? Though whenever someone who grew up in
- 2:32the nineties, he's the word point dexter. And I think at the Simpsons
- 2:35it feels like it's a word at the Simpsons coin which I obviously didn't,
- 2:38but it just feels like it's associated with the Simpsons. Point dex days the
- 2:40word. I'm going to do some googling here, which is going to make
- 2:43for fascinating content, particularly if we're talking or at the rate that you google
- 2:47things. P O no, G. Well, first of all, G
- 2:53double o G. Oh wait a minute, I'm googling Google into Google.
- 2:59I remember the first time I showed my mum Hayted have to type the full
- 3:01address. You can just type Google and it would come up. She was
- 3:04like, what, I don't have to type www htt bag lass. That
- 3:09changes everything. But as you said, being a child of the nineties,
- 3:14I was not a child of the Nartis, and we're a child or even
- 3:16teenager of the eighties, and I'm gonna think that there might have been a
- 3:21Poindexter in the movie Revenge of the Nerds that would make sense. Was it
- 3:24this guy? Was it Walter Peck whatever? You n't Pointdexter Revenge of the
- 3:28Nerds? Which one was he? He was the guy with the red hair
- 3:30and the thin glasses. I haven't seen those films for so long. I
- 3:32remember them peeping through the with the hole in them? Was that Revenge of
- 3:35the Ners people through the who in the shower saying you watched it now?
- 3:38And gay, I feel awkward watching this At the time when I was a
- 3:40kid, I felt like, oh, this is funny now watching go,
- 3:43I'm a PERV. Before we had canceled culture. Revenge of the Nerds was
- 3:46the first one to get canceled. Was that really? Oh? I had
- 3:50a lot of people from the eighties revisiting it a little later and go,
- 3:53these guys are sex criminals, sex pests. Nerds absolutely, but also sex
- 3:58criminals, not pest criminals. There was a legitimate sex crime in the movie.
- 4:01Yeah, not good. Yeah, someone would actually get arrested and maybe
- 4:04he sent to jail for this. We shall not be reviewing Revenge of the
- 4:06notes on the movie guys, we don't have trouble with the no worries.
- 4:13Yeah, that's more youthful hydis. We had enough trouble with youthful hyjienks compared
- 4:15to sexual crime. Then we didn't enough trouble with American Pie. We were
- 4:19like, should he really be putting the naked girl on the internet? That
- 4:24was I forgot how problematic that was, the fact that they didn't Actually,
- 4:29there's no repercussions for it. Everyone's watching this shit getting naked and you just
- 4:32never hear anything of it again. It's like, excuse me, what now?
- 4:36Please tune into the movie guys talking about American Pie where we discussed this
- 4:41topic and I don't know, more fun stuff. But yeah, but I
- 4:44didn't mind this episode. The b plot right with Homer trying to work out
- 4:46Marge's eyes. I thought it was fine for a B plot because at least
- 4:50he was still he was trying to make the effort. I feel like in
- 4:55recent times he might have just gone, we'll screw you on going to Mo's
- 4:58and and then sort of later on going because when she said I'm not going
- 5:00to let you see my eyes until you guess he would have gone, skow
- 5:02you, I'm going to go to Moe's later on, would have gone,
- 5:04oh you know what, I probably should make an effort from the get go.
- 5:08Here. He just wanted to try and make an effort. Yes,
- 5:10it felt very much like a traditional sitcom b plot where there is nothing to
- 5:14accept, this misunderstand you can keep coming back to it, and it just
- 5:16sort of kept the story fine. Yeah, Yeah, she's going to hold
- 5:19a grudge justifiably. So. Yeah, although we'll talk about that in a
- 5:24second. And he's going to be going through various stages of either trying to
- 5:28work it out or what's the point or something like that. Did he have
- 5:30what's the point? Mom mate? I think he did. Yeah, maybe
- 5:33he didn't. You're right. He was more a lot disappointed in himself that
- 5:35he couldn't figure it out, or frustrated with frustrated with himself. Yeah,
- 5:40and we've discussed recently. I'm not sure what podcast it was. We do
- 5:42too many here for you just get a network so many that you always forget
- 5:46your family's birthdays, right, Oh yeah, I guess you should probably remember
- 5:49a bit more because you're looking at your spouse more like every single day or
- 5:53every moment if you like, just about. But still I can still buy
- 5:56into the fact that Homer might not actually remember. Oh yeah, look,
- 6:00by this stage of the proceedings, I know Lew's face as well as I
- 6:01know my own. Yeah, I am ninety five percent sure that her eyes
- 6:08are a lovely sort of copper chestnut. Be saying there's a chance at their
- 6:13hazel, I'm saying there's a five percent chance that they're green. They break
- 6:17I got on Instagram before God damn it cut out. But also the story
- 6:26here of Millhouse's parents being back together, I thought it was nice seeing him
- 6:29get along. I usually don't like when they just revert back to sort of
- 6:32not status quo. But you know, it's been how many seasons now,
- 6:36Season eight was Milhouse Divided. So this is our season, nineteen eleven years
- 6:40on. Ye, I know they're hooked up again. I think it was
- 6:42last season. This is the first time I've really seen them sort of getting
- 6:45along together as a family kind of thing. I because they got they got
- 6:48together in the episode where she found Marge's bra that's right in Kirk's room,
- 6:54and then there was just nothing spoken about against like, are they still together,
- 6:56so they're clearly still together. It was just nice thing to I didn't
- 6:59mind the fact that I like their dynamic as a family when they're not at
- 7:02odds. So I thought that Kirk as a bachelor who's depressed nois sad had
- 7:06run its course. Yeah, by this point it was certainly good for a
- 7:11few gags, going to be really good gags. Yeah, every character is
- 7:15pathetic on the show, now, that's true. You want to have certain
- 7:18characters that specialize empathetic but not but also specialize in different kinds of pathetic.
- 7:23Because we like Kirk, I think we relate to Kirk in many ways in
- 7:26the way things just don't go his way. We don't want him to be
- 7:30so pathetic all the time. I don't know. I feel like him and
- 7:32Luando a good match. Yeah, I think you have a resident Springfield sad
- 7:36sack in Guilill. Yes. So, anytime you want to make someone into
- 7:42an absolute human punching bag or pinata gills, your man gills down for the
- 7:46job. I think Kirk is going to be pathetic and put upon in certain
- 7:51circumstances, and it's usually to doe with a long term relationship breaking down and
- 7:58re entering bachelorhood or a middle aged single man who's completely out of his depth.
- 8:03And you're right that that kind of gag is going to run out of
- 8:07a run out of petrouble relatively quickly. Well, it feels like now any
- 8:11character who is not in a relationship just feels like a bit of a punch.
- 8:13It feels like a Gill Gunners And now they're just they're they're losers.
- 8:18Comic book guys a loser. Gill is a loser, Moe is a loser.
- 8:20They're all just depressed, sad, sad. That's true. But I
- 8:24think Comic book Guy and Mo and Gil they're all sad for specific reasons,
- 8:31or they've got very distinct flavors of sad. See Combook Guy never used to
- 8:35feel sad because he didn't give a shit either, and because he was sort
- 8:39of it was sad the life that he leads because we thought, well,
- 8:41what a pathetic life. But he's like, I think, give a shit,
- 8:41I'm happy being a nerd. Well, every once in a while he
- 8:45would sort of have these moments of self awareness. Was that that you must
- 8:48be a define with the leaders. Yeah, I mean, you don't want
- 8:54to keep nailing home the point it's like, oh, this guy's a big,
- 8:58sweat, smelly loser because the way he hides his embarrassment is with just
- 9:03being snarky all the time. So it was a nice thing. Brought down
- 9:05a few times himself in comic book Law and the absolute destruction of a wheelbag
- 9:11full of tacos. Who among who among us cannot relate? I know right
- 9:15now, go a marathon with endless tacos. Holy shit, the dream is
- 9:20the actual dream. Yeah. But as I was saying, though, Kirk
- 9:24just feels so sad. Now, however, you see me just like this
- 9:26guy, like, get him off my screen, such a loser. It's
- 9:30nice seeing him happy again. And they're getting along. They are yeah.
- 9:33Now the end, he was a bit like, okay, you just sort
- 9:35of rund of ideas. What it felt very much like they'll see by oh
- 9:39let's see more. But listen with that there it was almost like the gag
- 9:43was this is ridiculous, we can't come up with anything. But he felt
- 9:46like we're trying to come up with something and we didn't. What are they
- 9:50doing going around the world? What the fun is going on? What I
- 9:54was reminded of throughout this episode. Is that the title of McBain's life comedy
- 10:00set, Let's Get Silly? Or is that his movie? It's one of
- 10:03the two. Yeah, Let's Get Silly. That's it felt like the mandate
- 10:07in the writer's room of this episode was let's get silly. Yeah, and
- 10:09what way? What do you mean? There's a lot of ideas that they
- 10:13don't quite fit together. I always say this about episodes where it feels like
- 10:18a lot of episodes. I mean we've got parts, we're awkwardly smushing them
- 10:22together. They sort of fit, but they don't really. I mean,
- 10:24a strong breeze is going to blow this thing apart? Yeah, well I
- 10:28think you had They had the idea for Millhouse to be like a how did
- 10:33you define him? What was he a take off of? Well, it's
- 10:35like it's like a rebel at cour It's very much a James denc the misunderstood
- 10:41loner who's you know? And his disengagement from the world in this kind of
- 10:48is what's the word I'm looking for? It's not on Weir. It's sort
- 10:52of nihilism. Yeah, but that whole fit is the bad not the bad
- 10:54boys, the misundersto Yeah, yeah, yeah, I thought it worked.
- 11:01I didn't mind. Yeah. Look as someone who was not going to be
- 11:03a jock or a punk rocker or anything like that. At a it's like,
- 11:09you just don't get me, man, that's that was going to be
- 11:11the beat me up. Then I feel something, Yeah, that's and listen,
- 11:16Oh, there is a certain kind of person that that is cat net
- 11:20for. Who would be that character in Breakfast Club? Was there one of
- 11:24those in Breakfast Club? Not really in Breakfast Clubs, it's sort of in
- 11:28a nineties film, what would you it's sort of Bender. Yeah, but
- 11:31yeah, I mean it's like if Anthony Michael Hall played Bender, not the
- 11:35future Ama Bender. We're knowing about the Joe Nelson by the words a documentary
- 11:39starting this weekend that you'll probably enjoy called Brats Okay about the Brat Pack.
- 11:43Oh okay, No, I didn't know about it. Yeah, I stif
- 11:45watched the Jim Henson documentary. Yet I'm about fife. I feel so bad.
- 11:48I like having things to look forward to. I've said this in the
- 11:50podcast before. I love It's just like, oh, this is out,
- 11:54I'm going to watch this. And then I was like, but if I
- 11:56watch it, then I would have I would have to look for to anymore.
- 11:58So even stored up. You know, God, God forbid you'd hit
- 12:01by a car. Tomorrow you won't have seen Jim Henson ideas man from our
- 12:07friends at Disney Plus, Friend of the Pod. Yeah, so yeah,
- 12:09maybe do it. I'll get on there, don't worry. I think I
- 12:11think it starts on Disney Plus this weekend. If not, it certainly starts
- 12:13on the American version Hulu. I thought it was gonna be like a Toys
- 12:16that made us about the Brat's toy line. That's what I like, What
- 12:20are you done with here? I don't know, I don't know your secret.
- 12:22Shame sort of shame at all, my little pony. Yeah but yeah,
- 12:26directed by Andrew McCarthy, Starry Mamny, members of the Brat pack.
- 12:30Yes, okay, yeah, So they had the idea for Millhouse to be
- 12:33you know, James Dean type, and I thought, we can't really flesh
- 12:35this out. They're throwing a b plot. This Homer forgetting Marge's ico is
- 12:39definitely something that's just been sitting on a notepad for a while. Where can
- 12:41we fit this in? I thought they sort of fit them in. They
- 12:45didn't. They sort of they didn't go together, I guess, but they
- 12:48were seamless. Still they branched off. Yeah, they didn't feel disjointed.
- 12:52And anyway, Eye Color one branched off the marriage incident. Yeah, I
- 12:58guess pretty well because because Millhouse was living with the Simpsons, you can keep
- 13:03going back to that story. And I like the fact that whenever my Aham
- 13:05would leave, Marge'll take the glasses off. Oh yeah, just the continuity
- 13:09there. I didn't. I like that because I'm sitting there thinking if she
- 13:11keeps these glasses on for the whole episode, even when home's like there,
- 13:15that'd be silly. As soon as I leaves, glasses come off. Yeah.
- 13:18Dandel likes continuity. Yeah. One thing they also do. Like in
- 13:20season nineteen. So every season I feel like we've been watching recently, there's
- 13:24a recurring gag right. So season eighteen it felt it was the sideshow,
- 13:28mel I'm going to see something outrageous in every episode gag right, quite outrageous.
- 13:33Yes, this season season nineteen so far, it's the we're going to
- 13:37name things for a while and until the person to the point where someone goes,
- 13:41will you stop saying words and saying names? They did it again in
- 13:43this episode they did actually with the the I was saying all ocean related breakfast
- 13:48products and things like that. Yeah. See, this just keeps going.
- 13:52Oh it's the same, same, gag. I actually don't mind it,
- 13:54but you do like a good every single episode though it gets annoying after all,
- 13:58that's true, but it also feels like the a good idea for you,
- 14:00gag. I mean, it's got a really rock solid foundation of like,
- 14:03I can't stop saying things that are gonna hurt this person's feelings. But
- 14:05when you do every episode, Yeah, and also when you just do it
- 14:09in a very perfunctory fashion, like I'm just gonna keep naming things, I
- 14:13mean, find ways to connect the things rather than just But for me,
- 14:20it's the fact that they always end it with someone saying will you stop saying
- 14:22things? Yeah? I enjoy that for some reason. But again, you're
- 14:28right, it's getting too repetitive. I mean I do like, yeah,
- 14:33for some reason, I do like stop saying things. Okay, I find
- 14:35that funny. For me, I enjoyed the first time, and maybe the
- 14:39second time, kind of the third time. Fourth time, I'm kind of
- 14:41done with it. I get where you're coming from. Yeah, I hotly
- 14:43understand. Also, this episode spawned the iconic Marge Crump meme, So Marge
- 14:50joined the Crump dance is a really iconic just a still shot. We're gonna
- 14:56have to redefine our meaning of the word iconic because that wasn't really sure?
- 15:01Is it's huge in the Simpsons meme worth the Marge Crump massive Like it's not
- 15:05quite on steamed hands level, but it's just that shot. It's up there.
- 15:09Would you like to know what I learned this weekend? What a crump
- 15:13is? Well, not so much what crump is, but what it stands
- 15:16for. What does the stand trump is actually an acronym for what I wrote
- 15:20this down? Okay, Kingdom radically uplifted, mighty praise. How's that happening?
- 15:28Yeah, that's That's what I was curious about as well. Was that
- 15:31is that in relation to the dance? Is that just the word crump?
- 15:33It is a little it's a little backstory, a little backstory for you,
- 15:35Lovely. Luis and I were watching a documentary on Netflix called Dancing with the
- 15:39Devil where these kids come out to La and I want to be a dancer.
- 15:46The only way that people dance these days is on TikTok and things like
- 15:48that. They get sort of roped into this cult slash church. And let
- 15:54me rewind that they get roped into this church slash cult. I was like,
- 16:00we're gonna, you know, we're gonna be a management company as well,
- 16:02and we're gonna put you on TikTok and make you famous and all this
- 16:03kind of stuff, and we're gonna take a huge amount of your money to
- 16:07do so. And yeah, and a lot of them are like, well,
- 16:11you know, I wanted to sort of get back to God, but
- 16:14I also want to dance and be famous and you know, be on TikTok
- 16:17and all. This is the best of both Wolks. It was the worst
- 16:18of both worlds, I can imagine. Yeah, but it sounds like a
- 16:22Schemes cartment would run though very much. But there's a lot of crumbers,
- 16:30crumpers. I was about to say crumpet. Crumpets just seems like the obvious
- 16:33one, right, you would say that, but I supposed to do with
- 16:36crump It needs to be it'd be crumpets with a K and double T crumpets.
- 16:41What you We're not trying to be sort of gender divisive. These days.
- 16:45I mean, you know, we don't really compeits. You don't say
- 16:48actress that much anymore, do you. Regardless, you have the Crumpers and
- 16:52the Crumpet, Yes, but the Marge crump very iconic in the Simpsons the
- 16:55mean world. Okay, well but apparently crumping yeah, got it? Quite
- 16:59can have a quite a religion component to it. That's what That's what it
- 17:00stands for, according to the one person anyway. But then person over ditam
- 17:04also the Internet. The Internet. This, by the way, listener slash
- 17:08viewers, this is another reason why you need to stop saying The Simpsons ended
- 17:12at season ten because the March, crump Stuper sexy Flanders. There are so
- 17:18many iconic moments that came the what was the one with Homer? The three
- 17:22money, all these iconic memes that you guys throw around on a daily basis
- 17:26came after season ten. So stop bitching, which are bitchin? What have

- 18:02I also really enjoyed. Actually, let's get the favorite moments. Well,
- 18:03say you're saying everything that you enjoy Yeah, yeah, you're just you're burning
- 18:07through your favorite moments. Hey, my favorite one of the final things that
- 18:11I enjoyed. Right, Well, are we officially in favorite moments? Yes
- 18:15we are. Indeed, you just heard the music in your head was editing
- 18:19in camera? Okay? Good? Saving Private Ryan the parody? Right?
- 18:22Oh yes, I like this because this felt like a classic Simpsons parody where
- 18:26as a kid, you will have no idea what they're going for here,
- 18:29but they do it in the way where you go, I know it's something,
- 18:32Yes, I don't know what it is, and when you're old enough
- 18:33you look it up and go, oh, it's saving Private Ryan. That's
- 18:37what you used to do. As a nineties kid, you'd see all these
- 18:38references on The Simpsons and go, I don't know what's going on here,
- 18:41but I know it must be something. And then you get older and you
- 18:44go, oh, that's what that was. Yeah, that's what kids at
- 18:47this time in his first aired would have got a bit older and going,
- 18:48oh, it's Saving Private Ryan. That's cool. I've never rewatched Saving Private
- 18:52Ryan. I saw it once at the cinema. I like, I don't
- 18:53think I even need to see this again. Not because it was too harrowing,
- 18:56wasn't it. It was just kind of a drag. Yeah, I
- 19:00real watching. I didn't. I saw it on TV for the first time.
- 19:02So when it first aired on TV, Steven Spielberg and the Greatest Generation
- 19:07Wagliff that was the point guy. But the opening scene I were watching on
- 19:12TV, going, I don't think I can do much more of this Like
- 19:15that opening ten minutes is unbelievable. It's unbelievable in both good and bad way.
- 19:18Yeah. I mean, you have never been morely thrust into the into
- 19:23the chaos of war, unless, of course you actually went to war.
- 19:27Thank you for your service. Yes, uh so that part of it is
- 19:30too grueling, and part of the rest is just kind of this kind of
- 19:33slog and I'm not really that into it. So someone told me that they
- 19:36think Dunkirk is better than Saving Private Ryan, and I didn't agree. I
- 19:40would agree, you would in what way? I don't know. I was
- 19:41just more drawn into Dunkirk. I thought it was I want it was better
- 19:47filmmaking. Although, like I said, I think Saving Private Ryan kind of
- 19:49not falls off the cliff after the Normandy scene, but the rest of us
- 19:52going like I guess, I wonder if twenty years of technology advancement helped Dunkirk.
- 19:57Maybe Dunkirk also Tom Hardy, who I find dreamy? What about Tom
- 20:00Hanks? Though? Which time are you going for Hardy or Hanks crows?
- 20:06Let me go? What else did you enjoy for this episode? Oh,
- 20:10Holly's just walked in. Hello, Holly, Holy, come in, Holy.
- 20:12You want to say hello, it's beautiful a color because I'm looking at
- 20:15it. Holly's got a cough, so she's home at the moment. Come
- 20:18inside, Holley, we come say hello, Come, come say hello.
- 20:21Uncle Guy comes on Dadd's knee. Ah. She says she's going for a
- 20:26way and she tricked, Mommy, Holly, come here. So we did
- 20:27you dube your mum. Did you trick mummy? Yeah, Holly, come
- 20:30here, sweetheart, come here, clever, careful of the light switch.
- 20:33There we go. You wanna sit on Dad's knee, but don't dig away,
- 20:38don't don't we on dad's knee? All right? Say hi for guy?
- 20:44You say hi? Are you nervous? You always want to always she
- 20:48always says, where's that good guy? You never say that? You never
- 20:52said that? Do you want to say hello? And do you want to
- 20:52go back to mummy? What do you want to do? Get back to
- 20:56mummy? She's all nervous. Get this guy away from creepy. She's like
- 21:00her lesson, no more tricky Mummy. You end up in the room and
- 21:03like a guy. Yeah, it's very accurate. Doesn't make it any less
- 21:11hurtful. So what did you enjoy? I forgot because Holly walked in?
- 21:14Well, I was about to say. I sympathize with Homer for many reasons,
- 21:18and empathize with Homer for many reasons. But is beautiful a color?
- 21:22Feels like the kind of thing that I would say, Oh, I love
- 21:23that line. Actually, yeah, it's I know it was meant to be
- 21:26funny, but it's it's a good line. It is. It feels like
- 21:32something I would I send you a message. Actually, there's a song I
- 21:33was listening to just came up with my feed and there was like a comment
- 21:37that said, I feel like this song would be what the color yellow sounds
- 21:40like. And I was like, that's a really cool. Comment on a
- 21:44YouTube was that it was a song yellow by Coldplate. Now it was put
- 21:48your record on or whatever, and I'm like, this does feel like what
- 21:52yellow would sound like, warm, inviting, sunny, sunny. Yeah,
- 21:57I just when eleven am sunshine coming through your window. Yes, exactly right.
- 22:02But yeah, I just thought the Homer saying is beautiful color. I'm
- 22:03like, that's both funny and accurate. It's also it is the kind of
- 22:08dodge that I would use, because Homer not I love when home is not
- 22:12being a jerk, You're just being an idiot. But it's like a lovable
- 22:15idiot is like it's beautiful a color. That's a genuine way a guy would
- 22:19try and get out of this is absolutely you look great. How do I
- 22:25look in at stress? They both look good. You never want to be
- 22:29us? How do I look into stress? It's like, um, you
- 22:30know you don't want to say dot my honest answer go, I think you
- 22:34look amazing. Always just go with that it's the true. Always preface with
- 22:38I think, because yes, it's always going to be true. Yeah.
- 22:41Uh. And when yes, you're given a choice between two they both look
- 22:47great, preface it with they both look great, and then offer your honest
- 22:52opinion. Se when when your spouse, your partner. When Nichola says to
- 22:56me, how do I look into stress? I always say I'm terrible fashion.
- 22:59You know, I think you look amazing, but don't go by me.
- 23:02And it's an out because I have no idea what fashion is and I'm
- 23:07saying this is beautiful. So that's my out. Like, consider the source.
- 23:11Look at my most like T shirt were now Uncle Rico dot com use
- 23:17the code four finger pod four fingerre discounts sorry to save ten percent. Do
- 23:21you see how smoothly we did that. You two could advertise on four fingered

- 23:30good. There are a few. There are more shirts like this. Yes,
- 23:33there's a Lenny one. There's a Lenny One trying to clul I,
- 23:34Hank Scorre Biohans mold Man. If you want there are shirts for basically every
- 23:38day of the week, all the all the great sort of like the week.
- 23:42Yes, but yeah, if you want to get Simpsons shirts and want
- 23:45save te percent four finger discount as a code at uncle Rico dot com,
- 23:49Rico shirts anything else you enjoy. I did. The small boy in me
- 23:56was thinking if I'd created like spider Burps, if I'd done that thing where
- 24:00you know, I put that's actually host around, spiders come out and then
- 24:03spiders run a mark and they come out of baby burps a lot that that
- 24:06should be like a boy version of a doll, like where creepy shit comes
- 24:08like burps, like something creepy comes out or whatever. You can sort of
- 24:11like. Isn't that the Garbage Power Kids or things like that. I don
- 24:15never owned one of those. I remember the Cabbage Patch Kids, but Garbage
- 24:17Power Kids actually a toy or just a trading card set. I thought they
- 24:19might have actually made toys. Okay, there was certainly a Garbage Pail Kids
- 24:22movie. Fun fact our pal Jim Cummings voices two of the characters in in
- 24:26the Garbage Power Kids movie. Can you believe that? That is a fun
- 24:29fact that I did not know? So, I mean, we didn't plant
- 24:32that. He does nat nerd and he does the guy that thinks he's like
- 24:34travolto that guy in the Garbage Power Kids. Jim comes with his voice,
- 24:38Oh my gat, my gat, They'll depended on my gat on that not
- 24:42just like he's he's got peoples and ship. It's one of the worst movies
- 24:47of all time. I'm sure Jim got a nice paycheck for it. It's
- 24:52yeah, speaking of worst movies of all time, Mac and Me, my
- 24:56friend bought The Blue River from the States because he can't get available here.
- 24:59It's one of those things to suggest to Umbrella, I reckon Mac and Mee
- 25:00would do well for like. It's got a cult following now. Mac and
- 25:03Me and I watched it and I go to Nicola. I know this movie
- 25:07is terrible, but I've got such a nostalgia for it, and I worked
- 25:10at what it is I think that I love the most. It's the score.
- 25:11Alan Silvestri does the does the score for it? Right? That guy
- 25:15does good music. It does Avengers, he does what does he does iconic
- 25:18themes. Right. Yeah, he's done a lot of stuff for robertson mechis.
- 25:22Yes, so he does the score for it, and I went onto
- 25:25the score on YouTube to listen to it, and someone had to comment on
- 25:26again YouTube comments. Someone had to comment saying, I want to watch the
- 25:30movie that Alan thought he was scoring because the score is so great for Mac
- 25:36and Me, but the movie not great. Right. I love it because
- 25:40I love it when I was a kid, a nostalgia for it. But
- 25:41the music in Mac and Me, I recommend check it out that just the
- 25:45final track on the Macame score on YouTube. Listen to it and prove me
- 25:49wrong. Tell me that it's bad. It's not. It's great. Yeah,
- 25:52you've made a very persuasive case for it, speaking of movies that are
- 25:56bad. But I'm still never gonna watch Macais. You have to do it
- 25:57at least once. Won't do it? Why? Why? Because you persuade
- 26:06to be with that Ale Savestry also did the theme for Back to the Future,
- 26:08Yes, which is we talk about iconic. That's iconic. Yes,
- 26:14speaking of the unified theory of full Finger discount. That's the other thing I
- 26:15watched on the weekend. It's on Apple TV. It's called still a Michael
- 26:19Jack Fox movie. Have you seen this one? No? How is it
- 26:22new? It's relatively new. Wow? Okay, yeah, documentary about Michael
- 26:25jeffsh documentary. Okay, yes, I get it now, Yeah, sort
- 26:27of the title makes sense now, yeah, going through his whole life also
- 26:33is just diagnosed with Parkinson's and his current life with Parkinson's and his family.
- 26:37It's very good, very very brave man, very brave man. Oh absolutely,
- 26:40And I mean it's very unflinching as well on talking about and depicting and
- 26:44showing how how much of a struggle it is for him. I mean,
- 26:47yeah, yet the world at his finger taps. Oh yeah. And the
- 26:49documentary very very vividly expresses that he's sort of yeah, brief early phase of
- 27:00like I was broken, jobless in Hollywood, and yeah, I'd sort of
- 27:03cash in on and a great saying is like I was selling off my sectional
- 27:08sofa until I had like one chair lift but I had a card and a
- 27:12chip. No, no, no, I had a chair and a chip,
- 27:15And they're like, what does that mean? It goes like I got
- 27:18a chair at the table and one chip left. I'm still in the game.
- 27:19Why j FOXO. Good with the aphorism. I'm stealing it. Oh
- 27:26yeah, I'm definitely using that. Uh sorry, I've got one last thing
- 27:30that I did like, and I like the what what they called the coast
- 27:33guard guys, the navy guy. Yeah, I just called the navy guys.
- 27:36Yeah. Yeah. If you've been to the sea huge and they're not
- 27:41connected, enjoy that very much. Next question, you there eating the paste?
- 27:48All right, it is trivia time, mister Davis. Actually, before
- 27:52trivia, we do have to read out the names of the stone Gus.

- 29:32name names. I was like, where's he going with this? You knew
- 29:37where I was going. Now. By the way, it's hard for a
- 29:38quick uncalled for unsolicited ad break. But the other day you and I were
- 29:44talking about Prime Prime and I was like, what is prime? I've got
- 29:48no idea what you're talking about. Turn Out it was Jake Andel Logan Paul's
- 29:52hydration formula drink. All the kids are addicted to it these days and now
- 29:56grown up is because they actually did to do it. No, no,
- 30:00no, I haven't even tasted it yet. I haven't yet. I was
- 30:03in the supermarket, yeah, passing by a special scan because I'm always looking
- 30:07to see it much cheap. Guess what was cheap crime? Was it?
- 30:11Really? Oh? Yeah, there was this and there was like blueberry favorite.
- 30:14This is meta moon flavor. This is going to be a test tasting,
- 30:18taste testing. Yeah, there's absolutely going to be a taste test.
- 30:22What flavor is? Zach? Feel free to edit this out, but this
- 30:23looks like watery come this, it's metal moon flavor. And meta Moon.
- 30:30But what's the actual what that makes sense to me? What's meta moon?
- 30:33Par Yeah? What a time to be alive. It's about moon milk on
- 30:40the Simpsons. We're talking about this Star Wars drinking milk milk and the cans
- 30:44blue milk. But I do know that in thirty years time, kids are
- 30:47gonna find it and go meta Moon. What a time to be alive.
- 30:51Yeah, if they have podcasts thirty years from now, you're gonna have Dandling
- 30:56Guy version three point zero saying you know what was great was I'm going to
- 31:00read this though, says here. They're gonna be using guys, old man
- 31:03boys. That's that's copyrighted off Prime Hydration Meta Moon candy fruit flavor Drink with
- 31:07Sweetness, Candy fruit drink with Sweetness, says here. Prime was developed to
- 31:14fill the void where great taste meets function with bold first quenching flavors to help
- 31:18you refresh, replenish, and refuel. Prime is the perfect boost for every
- 31:22endeavor. We're confident you'll love it as much as we do. Humbly the
- 31:26Prime team. Holy shit, the copywriter's put a bit of sass on that
- 31:29one. You ten percent coconut water in this b vitamins. Seamen, that's
- 31:34seaman, I know what you drink. I love that they have spent seven
- 31:41lines big upping themselves and big uping their their beverage. Humbly the Prime team.
- 31:48You have to you have to taste testing now. Humility is not part
- 31:51of the Pool brand. No, not at all. Here, Jakendel logan,
- 31:53if you want to come on the show, let's have a chat and
- 31:56actual here taste test of Meta moon Pie Prime drink. Here we go,
- 32:00goes flashbacks to his youth. Oh man, you can smell it? Really
- 32:07that you don't if I hold you close? Yeah, you little can't smell
- 32:10it all the sweetness and candy candy fruit flavor, sweetness plus sweetness. There
- 32:16we go. It's happening, it begins. Look it to your veins.
- 32:23That is literally dissolving the teeth in my mouth. It is incredibly sweet.
- 32:28Yeah, that's what they said my friends who are hooked it like it's like
- 32:30drinking syrup. Do you want to try a litit? Yeah? Why not,
- 32:32let's do it. It's incredibly candy flavored. Okay, oh cheap is
- 32:38it feels like you're drinking cordial without water in it. Yeah, that's not
- 32:43quite that bad. But it's like you haven't put it enough water in the
- 32:45cordial. Yeah, it needs another couple of goes with the tap. But
- 32:49I'm guessing, Oh man, can you imagine, like you've you've done your
- 32:52burn, you know, you put in the hours at the gym. What
- 32:57are the calories in this and this is how you hydrate? Has it got
- 33:00so it's a calorie for using twenty five calories. It's just all the sweet
- 33:02It must just be full of sweetness. So it's calorie freeze. It's like
- 33:07basically like pepsi max essentially, so sugar in it. It's just all sweetness.
- 33:12See that's where they're getting. There's no sugar in it, but there's
- 33:14all sweetness. I mean, I think I prefer sugar too. I want
- 33:16to like sweetness. I would feel sick if I drank a who bottle of
- 33:20that. Oh thank god. Yeah, I've had like I took three regular
- 33:23gulps. I could see how people could get addicted to that. Though.
- 33:27Oh yeah, it does taste like candy, but it's a little bit too
- 33:30thick for me, as some would say. Indeed, this is according to
- 33:34the bottle not suitable for children under fifteen years of age, pregnant or lactating.
- 33:38She should only hang on well, the kids should only be used under
- 33:43medical or dietetic supervision. My friends? Is that for pregnant women? For
- 33:46everybody? I don't know. My friends have a I think it's a ten
- 33:50year old, as six year old and a three year old and they're all
- 33:52drinking it? Are they the size of that? But Simpson all over there,
- 33:57which is fucking huge? That's that's that's from that giant Bart Simpson from
- 34:01the movie from the fucking huge store from the movie Display Simpson's movie, can
- 34:07You So that's the what I always tell you about where I could have bought
- 34:08who set for eight hundred bucks with the backdrop and everything and that Nicholas like
- 34:12you don't need it, and I'm like, ah, I guess you're right.
- 34:14I really would have liked to show we've had no room for it and
- 34:15our selves for twenty five thousand dollars. So I guess you won that,
- 34:19right, Well, you lost that. I lost it. I can't hanging
- 34:22over her head forever. You lost the battle, but you won. They
- 34:25won that war. Okay, I'm not going to be drinking anymore, no
- 34:28more, no more. Indeed, maybe different flavorul be better, but I
- 34:30think that's just like drinking non water down cordial. Yeah, meta, Moon
- 34:36met the Moon met to Moon par Yeah, I'm gonna I'm going to slip
- 34:39at the holly and yeah, she's going to be dancing off the walls from
- 34:43the next two days. Should we just skip trivia or just do you like?
- 34:45One question is could we go for like thirty minutes already? We have?
- 34:47We have, but I don't think. I don't think there's a whole
- 34:50lot in the episode to discuss. Yeah, true, okay, all right,
- 34:52but we'll do the trivia real quick. Next question, you there eating
- 34:57the base. Hit me with your first question. The containers has how many
- 35:00convenient locations? According to Homer no idea five. My first question is what
- 35:07are the ingredients of prime? I need to find prime candy flavored water?
- 35:13Candy flavored water would swept with sweetness. My first real question is what did
- 35:15Homer eat after making love to March for the first time and almond paste in
- 35:20it? Yeah, it was a bear claw claw? Well done? Is
- 35:23a beg claw like a croissant? I mean it's a pastry of some kind,
- 35:27right, yeah, I'm envisially just like a claw. The claw the
- 35:31most memorable bit from the Jim carry Lay film, the Claw and the blippers
- 35:36at the end, although also the incredibly racist bit from Gets Smart, Not
- 35:38the Not the Claw to go Home and which Get Smart and Revenge of the
- 35:45Notes bear Claw. You say dessert, right, or maybe pastry pastry bear
- 35:50claw pastry. No, it's kind of like a croissant. It's got like
- 35:53the is it yogurt on top? Ranola and yogurt? It looks like it.
- 35:59Guess it feels very can anyway, is it my turn to ask you
- 36:01a question? Ah? Yes? What was the ratio of votes in the
- 36:07Millhouse bart cool off that was on the front page of the school seventy three
- 36:10twenty seven? That is right? Stuck with me, alrighty. My next
- 36:15question for you is what did the sign at the weddings say? Oh?
- 36:19Man, I thought it was funny at the time, or maybe I didn't
- 36:21do not kick sea turtles? Do not kick sea turtles. Yeah, that's
- 36:23not funny at all. No, apparently I saw this thing on time for
- 36:27what guys are on Twitter? I saw this on Twitter the other day,
- 36:30Like this segment genuinely needs its own intro, you say every single episode,
- 36:35that's my to it. There was footage of like a little crab scuttling along
- 36:40the beach and picking up in its claws like a baby sea turtle and running
- 36:45off with it, and the caption was you were not legally allowed I've seen
- 36:50this to rescue the baby turtle. Yeah, but I would Would you do
- 36:52it? Though? It was kind of like that the test at the startup
- 36:55Blade Runner, Yeah, where it's like that turtles lying in his back.
- 36:59Why turning it over? I don't know, Leon, you tell me,
- 37:01I'm gonna shoot you. Spoilers blad run. I was like, wait a
- 37:07minute. Turtles are like, you know, cool eternal cruises, they live
- 37:12forever. Yeah, cruise in the ocean, just chilling. But you saving
- 37:15that turtle. That's gonna be one hundred years of a life right the meanwhile,
- 37:19crabs, beady eyed, litchy love, raffian monstrosities. Turtle. I
- 37:27think there was something else. It was like a bird or something just trying
- 37:30to get the baby turtle. And it's like, would you say it?
- 37:31I think everyone's gonna say yes, everyone's going to say the turtle people like
- 37:35turtles. Yes, they have no enemies besides the hair. That's even then
- 37:40that's a haus fault. That's a friendly rap. That that's respect among competitors.
- 37:46Is a time to ask you a question? Yes, okay, this
- 37:50is very obvious, but what is the commendation for a full body jukebox?
- 37:53Slam? Oh no, I did not write this down. I knew you
- 37:57might have put this ab up left trigger, right trigger, both triggers.
- 38:01That's how I used to play like Tech in the more to Combat. I
- 38:05would push those things not realizing I'm doing it. You just mashed the pad.
- 38:07Yeah, that's the best thing about those old old school arcade games,
- 38:10just mashing and eventually you'd pull something off and you go. I meant that.
- 38:14Should we do a gaming podcast called mash the Pad? Of course we
- 38:17should mash the pod. We just came up with. This is the the
- 38:23brains are working over time. Let's google this again, starting way to any
- 38:28new podcast here. Wouldn't you love it if mashed pod is one, mash
- 38:35the Pod is not one, Let's do it. It's just us terrible at
- 38:37video games. But it could be a podcast though, because it's a visual
- 38:42thing, there should be like a page on Google when you try to type
- 38:45in a podcast already taken stupid? What were you thinking? Or as if
- 38:53a funny meme of The Simpsons? Because I just watched The Acolyte, the
- 38:57first episode, the pilot, some would say, because I thought we might
- 39:00be able to tackle the pilot episode of The Acolyte for our new TV launch
- 39:02pod podcast, which we kick off with Bob's Burgers. And we won't reveal
- 39:07the second one yet because i'm't sure where people can to listen to this first
- 39:09or whatever. But we're recording our second one tomorrow, which is very exciting.
- 39:13But The Acolyte has a segment opening like exterior shot of is a coruscan
- 39:19coras scant coruscand coruscand and it comes up saying Correscent and then it's like Star
- 39:22Wars fans, it's end or I didn't think it was the Death Star.
- 39:32But the thing is, though I watched it and I went, I didn't
- 39:35know what it was, but still hardcore Star Wars fans probably would have gone
- 39:37the but I would who has memories of the prequels. I don't fucking know
- 39:43what always places look like anymore. Yeah, I probably could not pick Coras
- 39:46scant from They all looked the same to me in those prequels. Yeah,
- 39:51all right, I'll hit you one more question and we'll get into our review

- 40:06that's an actual thing. Well, oh my god, no, but the
- 40:08missus dances and mister Janson, I just thought you were doing cartman probably miss

- 40:42All right, so the episode kicked up. Sorry. The original air
- 40:45date of Little Ulfa Millie was November eleventh, two thousand and seven. Production
- 40:47Coach jab F two two, written by Mick Kelly, It's newer namer and
- 40:52directed by Lance Kramer. The chopboard gag. There is no such thing as
- 40:55an ipodty iPods one of the most glows borious inventions of all time. And
- 41:01I'm sad that they're gone. But they're not needed anymore, I guess not.
- 41:06They're really not. I myself for when I like to go out and
- 41:13get my steps up. I have invested in a little MP three player.
- 41:16You mentioned this because I don't want to take the phone. Yeah. Yeah,
- 41:20the phone's a little bit too heavy. I can get one of those
- 41:21things you put in your sleep, but then you look like a douche.
- 41:22Yeah uh. And the wireless headphones connect to the phone sometimes you're going to
- 41:27get breakouts. I want a cord. I want something that just plays a
- 41:30chord, Okay, I want something to plays music and podcasts. Yeah.
- 41:31I used to get so annoyed with the chord because I'd be running and it
- 41:36would like yank. I had my iPod in my pocket and was like,
- 41:37yank it out of my ears all the time. I don't run fast enough
- 41:40for that. But I did not get this gag. The mosest thing is
- 41:45an ie potty? Is it meant to eye potty? Oh maybe yeah,
- 41:50I go potty potty? Oh yeah, yeah, I guess that's it.
- 41:52Yeah. But the couch over the family appears on the cover of Modern Couch
- 41:55Gag magazine. I thought the intro here was different. I'm not sure we
- 42:00ever had this if they all spoke, they did. You heard various comments
- 42:02from the various springfieldings. Yes, but skateboarded pass are you're testing something out
- 42:07here? I don't know you heard a little something. Did you hear something
- 42:09from Lisa as she left? You know she was playing the blue She was
- 42:13just playing music. I'm pretty sure. But Bart laughed as he left.
- 42:16But you had like every time but we go past somebody in the street,
- 42:20that street scene. Yes, wow, yeah, they'd say something. I
- 42:23thought. I don't think wow. I don't think we've ever had this before,
- 42:29right, not to the best of my do sometimes skip the intro,
- 42:31so we may have had it. I'm guilty of it. When I'm it's
- 42:34only when I'm doing the reviews, I'll skipped the intro and I'm like,
- 42:36I've got funk all time. Well, we've got so many intros where it
- 42:39just goes from the Simpsons to straight into it, straight into it. I
- 42:45felt it's been the full I felt they're running on fumes a bit, and
- 42:49they're like, let's just pad this out with an intro. Everybody likes padding.
- 42:52I mean, it makes sense though, why they made the intro so
- 42:54long in the first place. And well, the Simpsons the first show to
- 42:59make an intro sort of like a gag in itself with the couch gag and
- 43:05the chop board gag. Did intros ever exist like that pre Simpsons? I'm
- 43:08going to confidently say no, okay, even though I'm probably wrong, and
- 43:15that's that. The episode kicks off though, with what misson evis? Can
- 43:22you remember the par picnic? What the park picnic? The park picnic?
- 43:25That's correct. I have gotten my note to here. I've got a space
- 43:30where it's like I think I was going to write something down, but then
- 43:32I wrote down the next thing. Okay, it's just shiny out the window
- 43:36and you got distracted. That's probably correct. It's basically, there's a bee
- 43:38on Maggie that the van Houten's and the Simpsons a having a picnic in the
- 43:40park. That's what I was going to write down. I thought this was
- 43:44actually a pretty funny gag that Homer does. Nothing adds up to the story,
- 43:49but it's just this would be funny to put in there. It is.
- 43:51Yes, I'm a sort of he jumps up, his head goes into
- 43:55a bee high. Maggie had the b on her, so he goes,
- 43:58stands up and his head goes into the high. Yes. Then he rolls
- 44:00up in the blueberries first, blueberries first, and then the picnic picnic rug.
- 44:06Yes, and Marge thinks and he's mocking here and he looks like Madge.
- 44:07Yes, and he's going because he's been bitten by bees. Yeah,
- 44:12but again, one of these things are putting your hat on a hat.
- 44:15I don't think you needed Marge saying, don't make fun of me at things.
- 44:17Just have them next to each other and have him going. Just have
- 44:21herko. Yeah, she'ld have to explain it. Yeah, I didn't have
- 44:23to explain it. Yeah, we're smart people. Yeah, maybe we're not.
- 44:27Maybe maybe maybe we're not shit, is it possible we're stupid. I
- 44:31think there's probably a big chance that we're all fucking idiots. Oh man.
- 44:35Yeah. Kirk though, announces that they're going to be getting remarried, and
- 44:38I'm just like, that's nice, nice, nice for Millhouse at least anyway
- 44:42we kind of get it. We get a couple of metag gigs here.
- 44:44So this one here, your brother, Assistan, because you look awful lot
- 44:45of each other, like each other. So many Simpsons fans always went why
- 44:50they look exactly the same, like no other couples in the Simpsons look the
- 44:52same. But these guys were drawn. It's like, are they related?
- 44:57The Millhouse is going to stop being used as a porn now in their fights,
- 45:00and they break into a little bit of a scrubble and he uses a
- 45:02porn? Did your father say that? But now in your family again,
- 45:05you can stop lying. Then Homer is picking out the tie for the wedding.
- 45:07Any twenty minutes to get there? You're running it a bit bit fine
- 45:10there, absolutely, but Mars suggests the one the same color of my eyes,
- 45:15and Homer cannot remember what color that is. I just love that.
- 45:19Yeah, it's beautiful. The color while played by Homer. But you know,
- 45:22if you have seen Gone Girl, I have seen it. I remember
- 45:25one particular scene that I remember a lot. There's a great bit in it
- 45:29where you Ben Affleck is sort of the prime suspect and the disappearance possibly murder
- 45:34of his wife. He's been grueled by this female cop who's, you know,
- 45:37asking all his questions about how well he really knows his wife. What's
- 45:39her wives blood type? And he's like, Sergeant Benson, yeah, and
- 45:43then no one knows that. After after that's what the cop step. He
- 45:50goes, am, I supposed to know my wife's a blood type? Do
- 45:52you guys know? Although they slipped in humor into a serious scene now yeah
- 45:58yeah. But then and he says, I don't know you eye color.
- 46:00I just judge people with the color of their skin. I thought I thought
- 46:04it was quite but Marge Lee's basically Blanche's covering her ash. Shees I'm not
- 46:07gonna let you see my eye color too. You can remember what color they
- 46:10are. Now at the wedding, Love Joyce's randomly giving them sass, yeah,
- 46:14yeah, what's going on here? And Homer using the word spaz I
- 46:17wasn't so sure about I thought, I'm not showing why you'd use that anymore.
- 46:22The words spaz we we used to say all the time, but now
- 46:24we're more learned and we go, you know what, that's probably not a
- 46:28nice term to use. Well, even beyond saying Lizigo called out for using
- 46:30this particular term okay yeah by a young Australian woman. Apparently, well you
- 46:35shouldn't use it. In my opinions, it's not nice. But basically he's
- 46:38giving him a sass. He's reading out the early drafts of the vows.
- 46:40Eventually it says, you know, just to say yes, I do whatever.
- 46:43Make it quick, because the seagulls are in the orders, and apparently
- 46:45they're made of seagull meat. See in a weak milhouse. How fun at
- 46:51the Simpsons. If you don't like missus Simpson's cooking, you have your mummy
- 46:54meals? I got them. Why does every kid who stays with us bring
- 47:00meals? Put pineapple on my potato salad? Little letter? I remember I
- 47:05was a kid. If I said at my friend's house, I was like,
- 47:07oh man, cook that as good as my men's. Oh yeah,
- 47:09what is it about you? Is it just because you're used to it as
- 47:13a kid. It's just because she's humor. Yeah. No, I think
- 47:15it's also familiarity. This is the first time we've had a gag that says
- 47:20that Marge is cooking isn't good? By the way, well, it's extremely
- 47:22experimental. I mean, I'm sorry I went full full Greta Gutenberg when she
- 47:28said, you put pineapple and potato salad? How dare you? Yeah,
- 47:30I don't think you do pineapple and anything? Not great? No, No,
- 47:35I've seen pineapple, pineapple and pizza. No, yes, really,
- 47:37okay, what about well, I mean not on every pizza, but what
- 47:40about you get a burger from the shop chicken sits or burg and they put
- 47:45a slice of pineapple on it. I went to the roadhouse and they said
- 47:46chicken sets and burgers come with pineapple. And they always asked do you want
- 47:50pineapple and no pineapp because I think it's a it's a very divisive thing.
- 47:52They always got no pineapple, thank you. Yeah, I think that's a
- 47:55that's a very special that's the tropical chicken per if I wanted that, I
- 48:00ask for the tropical Yeah, but the standard chicken setzelburger, Chicken City at
- 48:02the at the roadhouse, delicious burger without the pineapple. It's at the supermarket
- 48:08the other day and I picked up two pineapple items. I mean, I
- 48:12got this sort of and it gets pineapple like spiced pineapple cocktail mixer. I'm
- 48:16like, I don't if I'm gonna have this with any booze or anything like
- 48:20that. But I had a splashed to my mineral water give it a tropical
- 48:22zing. And also a candy bar called Perky Nana. Never heard of it,
- 48:28yeah, from our friends at Cadbury, friend of the pod. So
- 48:30I don't like the pineapple lollies either, do you like? I think I
- 48:34like pineapple lollies more than I like actual pineapple. Do you really? And
- 48:37I like actual pineapple. There's three lollies that I just there's three that I
- 48:40never liked as a kid. There was the Pineapple ones. It was I've
- 48:43never had a mint ones, but it wasn't. I was thinking that I
- 48:45was seeing a bottle of milk bottles didn't like. I didn't like pineapples,
- 48:47and I didn't like the teeth, but I love the teeth now I can
- 48:51live without the teeth. But the other two like all top five? What
- 48:53about black cats for you do you have black nag and live with that.
- 48:55Yeah, they kind of. They live a really sort of lasting tasty mouth.
- 48:59I don't know the black cat. I love strawberries and cream. Oh
- 49:01they're delicious, aren't they really like those as a kid either, but they're
- 49:04so good. Yeah, milk bottles, bananas. I was very big on
- 49:07ah, but is a the worst one? Man? I like bananas.
- 49:09They're chewy and sock eating wet chalk. Yeah. I think they're known as
- 49:14mates now, but we used to call them cobbers speck in the days,
- 49:15little chunks of caramel with chocolate. I don't know those on It's pretty nice,
- 49:19you know what I miss? What do you miss? Fantaales? Why
- 49:22did they? Cobbers were not unlike fantaales? So people apparently they I thought,
- 49:27I think there's a bit of a conspiracy here, right, it's Allan's
- 49:30that do fan taels. They said, we're taking fantalos off the shops because
- 49:34no one's buying them anymore. And I'm like, you know what, I
- 49:36always fucking buy fantaales. You're going to take them away for a year or
- 49:38two and then bring them back limited yeahah, limited edition for a limited time
- 49:43only. Fantastes of returning. I know for a fact you're going to do
- 49:45that. They did this with pollwaffle, yeah they did. Yeah, And
- 49:49I bought like a little bag of those poly waffle bites and I was like,
- 49:52oh, that was really great. This is fine. Yeah, it
- 49:55was like the dog in the burning room. This is fine. I do
- 49:59love the fantaso fantasts. I do love them. But the thing is,
- 50:02I remember they did this with barbecue shapes. They took away barbecue shapes,
- 50:06and I'm like, all the shape flavors you're taken away barbecue? Are you
- 50:07fucking mad? I'm not. I'm a slavery shapes guy, Okay, have
- 50:13been since day one. Savory is like eating original chips. Though I'm original,
- 50:22Dana. Sometimes you know very different people when you think of shapes,
- 50:25though, what's the flavor you think of it? The most famous is barbecue,
- 50:29right, I tend to think savory. That's but again, that's what
- 50:31we had when I was a kid. I see, I didn't realize shapes
- 50:34have been round for that long. That's so sincere. It's not untrue.
- 50:44But they're camping in the land room was the kitchen. That's a landrum fireplace.
- 50:49Yes, I just liked this setting. It's like, you know,
- 50:52home is telling stories, having a good time to sleep over, good fun.
- 50:58That's way this day. You never see a shark with monkey arms.
- 51:05Great story, mister Simpson. But why do all your bedroom stories have commercials
- 51:08in them? For the Container store? Because if I do it enough,
- 51:12maybe does start to pay me? Sleep tight the Continuer store now at five
- 51:17convenient locations. Why don't we sell a product place in our stories? We
- 51:21should? Good idea home? Yeah, oh oh in our store. You're
- 51:27talking about people in general opposed to us. I think I'm selling it all
- 51:29the time. This story is brought to you by this anecdote is brought to
- 51:34you by Millhouse. He's happy every day now and he's going to dream about
- 51:40waking up because you can't wait another another day. And it's just doesn't seem
- 51:44happy, actually happy setting the alarm in his dreams. Yeah. Now,
- 51:49meanwhile, they're about to get it on Kirk and land on the ship and
- 51:53this time carrying you over the threshold. But unfortunately they just slide away,
- 51:58so they sort of lose the balance. Yeah, and go overboard, and
- 52:02he says that you nibbling my knee reminded me of that film Open Water terrifying,
- 52:07terrifying. Yes, I have sharks. Is that the scariest besides your
- 52:10scariest shark movie you can remember? Not jump scared, just putting yourself from
- 52:14that experience. I was very partial to the shallows. Yeah, by yourself,
- 52:20yes, yeah, but at least you was somewhat close to shore.
- 52:22These guys are lost in the middle of the ocean with no land in sight
- 52:28and the idea of well, we're probably being left behind. Now, that
- 52:30does suck. I think being that close to shore and like, oh,
- 52:34but I can't make it as like, oh no, you're just rubbing salt
- 52:37in the wounds, which is appropriate because I'm in salt water. Might watch
- 52:42a shark movie on the weekend, watch Free under Paris. Yeah. Whereas
- 52:45some people call it shark the Triumph, I coveted on it saying yeah,
- 52:51the giant CG shark. Yeah yeah, and people in the comments as dragged
- 52:53you did that. One person, Well, I think it was more iron
- 52:58than anything. It's like it's less shark though. Yeah, I know.
- 53:00That was my my Facebook frend film, Very Clever Guy. Under under Paris
- 53:05was actually pretty good. Okay, it was more like deep Blue Sea than
- 53:08you might imagine. Really, I think you might enjoy it was was it
- 53:12physical? Was an actual physical shark at any point? Was it all c
- 53:15G? I? If it was CG, it was very good CG.
- 53:17Really, okay, I may check it out. It's all subtitle right French
- 53:21film? Yeah, you can probably you know, watch an English dub version.
- 53:23But instead do you watch oh ship? Now? Now what a shark
- 53:29in French? Then? Do you know? Shark? As long as you
- 53:34say it like that shick? But but Millhouse they find an animal whole.
- 53:39I don't know what kind of hole this what animal this whole belongs to?
- 53:43So they put the water in to find out, and it's Trancelors and yeah,
- 53:45I like the baby burps a lot and things like that, and Millhouse
- 53:47says, ain't care my parents ever come back and having so much fun.
- 53:50Cut to the festival cruise lines arriving in a very saving, proper Ryan parody.
- 53:53It's got the what is that music? I'm not sure, but it's
- 53:57you know, it's the mournful you know you don't want that music playing?
- 54:00Yeah, So it reminded me of what was the film Oh We watched the
- 54:05latter forty nine recently forty nine its stars Junker Build. I'm like, Dad,
- 54:08it's a fair we're gonna put the bear out. Spoiler alert for the
- 54:12not actual dialogue that there's a scene in the film where a similar kind of
- 54:15thing with seven part Ryan here, where they they rock at the door to
- 54:17say, look, this is it. And throughout the film they've been sort
- 54:21of saying I never want to see that car, all right, And then
- 54:22she looks at the window and sees that can and it's like, I did
- 54:25not think this film is going to end this way. How fucking depressing.
- 54:29Yeah, it's been a while since is it Jakin who dies? Yeah?
- 54:31Yeah, spoiler that's twenty five years up. But yeah, I was like,
- 54:36we've been watching this entire film. It's like I was going to get
- 54:37out and then he doesn't. You're like, ah, that's sad, but
- 54:40I guess realistic because things don't always go your way. But now the festival
- 54:46cruise lines have come to say that the parents are lost at sea, and
- 54:49bart Spray's millhouse with some water says drown you whatever, who died? And
- 54:53my parents obviously well apparently or something like that. You have my parents are
- 54:59last year? See are you going to find him? We'll try, but
- 55:04have you ever been to this sea? It's huge and we have to search
- 55:07all of them because they are, you know, connect. But the Simpsons
- 55:12then say, you can stay here until you're back on your foot. Where's
- 55:15he gonna good? Where else is he going to go? You can stay
- 55:17here. I'm not going to go home. But he says you can have
- 55:22a bedtime an hour later, so you can have some alone time with your
- 55:25thoughts. If I were writing this episode, I would perhaps add a little
- 55:30element of not like a ticking clock kind of thing, where what's the episode
- 55:37you've got? Stupid babies need the most attention. You need human service to
- 55:39come in and say, Okay, we're gonna take bart to the We're going
- 55:44to take real hoouse to the orphanage. Yeah, oh, we're gonna have
- 55:47to find like his last living relative or something like that, which sends bart
- 55:52On a quest to find who what's his name is? Zach? Yeah,
- 55:54well not really Zach. He's Haid another name. We'll get to it,
- 55:58but yeah, he's the cool uncle uncle. Yeah, I'm surprised I didn't
- 56:01try and find his next closest relative anyway, he's got a grandma. Maybe
- 56:04she's gone, who knows anyway, Not these guys that would ruin the story
- 56:08they trying to tell you, such as it is. Yes, the next
- 56:12thing is the breakfast. See when home is going through all the various names
- 56:14that are ocean related. Hey, come on, why don't you cheer up
- 56:17with a glass of ocean spray? Oh oh boy, forget that. How
- 56:22about some captain crunch. It's seven seas Italian dressing, No, No Chicken
- 56:30of the Sea, tunic CA, the Ocean CD, the history of Atlantic
- 56:34records stop meaning things. Won't you but a cat and got a mouse?
- 56:37Good idea, I'll drown my sorrows and anchor steam beer. I'm sorry,
- 56:43I woo again though it's fine, it's funny, but I've had it before
- 56:49neuro times this season already. And Marge says, you know, there's always
- 56:52hope. I like this. I always hope they can find them. I'm
- 56:53just letting you guys know that we stop looking again. It's one of those
- 56:59guys that if you had it in Golden age, Simpson to be like,
- 57:02that's pretty good. Yeah, yeah, but then let's millhouse. We'll try
- 57:06to let him win the video game fight, but he doesn't want to.
- 57:08Now what is this game? What is bar bar all for? Final fracas?
- 57:15According to fah, yeah, already enough pain in this world. Let's
- 57:20just pay the checking. Go And I was like, that's a really depressing
- 57:23line. And then he pays the check in the game, like it sounds
- 57:27like you're saying, let's just end it all. Let's just like take our
- 57:29own life. Life's good enough. Pay Let's just pay the check and go.
- 57:31And I was like, holy shit, how morbid. And then he
- 57:35pays the check. It's a really good I mean, not to get terribly
- 57:38morbid, but say you've got a diagnosis, a terminal diagnosis, and you
- 57:44were going to announce it on social media. I think opening up would saying
- 57:47like, oh, time to pay the check, Like what a cool dude.
- 57:53The great singer songwriter Warren Zevon, when he knew that he was dying,
- 57:57he named his last album my Rides Here. I think, if I
- 58:00know that I'm going to die, that's what I'm going to start the Facebook
- 58:02post of where I announced by emminent demands, Like well, well am I
- 58:07right? Yeah? So cool, that's very very cool and this is the
- 58:10sort of the first glimpse at Millhouse being millihouw, yeah, cool Millhouse.
- 58:15Maggie then offers Milhouse's bottle, you could use it pick me up. Then
- 58:17he sees his reflection and he realizes that, you know, he's become a
- 58:20big baby. Can't drink his movie out of a barber barba what he calls
- 58:23it. I believe so yes, And he realized he needs he's alone now,
- 58:25he needs to be a man sent look after himself. Homer. Meanwhile,
- 58:30I was looking for the wedding Memories book to try and see Marge's eyes.
- 58:32Then no other photos around the house. I just just dawned on me.
- 58:35Well that's the thing. When she covered all the when he was looking,
- 58:37I'm like, why aren't you looking for a photo? And then of
- 58:38course they got to the Yeah, as she covered all the photos. How
- 58:43she covered all the photos? I don't know anyway, but like the what's
- 58:45the code our anniversary? Like yeah, that works that, Like that feels
- 58:50like classic Simpsons kids are now plays the way, did you see what were
- 58:52the numbers that the thing was actually on? It was twenty eight twenty something.
- 58:58He had forty forty That means thing. I don't know. I think
- 59:01everything means something. There means something in this episode, I don't know it
- 59:07does it? I don't know? Okay, does it? Do you tell
- 59:09me? I think it's just you know, when you put the cord and
- 59:12it's just sort of you split it around. I was just trying to psych
- 59:14out there. So then the kids are playing marbles at school and they see
- 59:17Millhouse in the shadows. At least it's taken the back, and do you
- 59:21have a marble guat it was a marble guy. Yeah. I love them.
- 59:24I used to get the big bags of them. Yeah. We had
- 59:28a brief phase when I was when I was very young, Jack's got in,
- 59:31Jacks came back. Jacks came back. Yeah, they had little eyeballs
- 59:34on them instead my little characters. And then they went out and Yoyos came
- 59:37back. For a minute it was Jack's. No, I was I thinking
- 59:39knuckles Knuckles are different, right? I think no? I think the knuckles
- 59:44and Jacks Knuckles is another name for Jack's, is okay? Yeah, cause
- 59:46I think they caught him knuckles in the nineties, not Jack's, because I
- 59:49believe the original Jacks were made out of like knuckle boones. Really, OK,
- 59:52that makes sense. They used to look like nothing. You just try
- 59:53and catch them on your knuckles. It was a good game. But after
- 59:55about five minutes you're like, yeah, I'm do this. I'm gonna go
- 59:59play video games. Wait a minute, they're not invented yet, so it
- 1:00:05would be a good Simpsons gag. That's because steal video game. Wait a
- 1:00:10minute, that invented. I mean, it's stupid, but it would work.
- 1:00:14I got to do my Homer flashback up. I got to do the
- 1:00:16stand up stand up coming. Yeah, I'm glad that you explained to the
- 1:00:22listeners what you were doing there before you did it, because they'd be like,
- 1:00:24why is it signed for five seconds? It's because guy's gone, eh,
- 1:00:29we're gonna we're pivoting the video here. Nelson makes fun at least for
- 1:00:36knowing Millhouse, and then it makes fun of him saying your mum said glug
- 1:00:37gluck, and I was like, holy ship, Yeah that's cold. Yeah,
- 1:00:39that is cold blood. My Mielhouse doesn't give a ship. Tears would
- 1:00:44cleanse my soul. Least is like, oh my god, I brief,
- 1:00:46Oh my god. That's become our recurrent gag. Now, yeah, we
- 1:00:52were doing well for a second, had come up with new gags for the
- 1:00:54Simpson and then all of a sudden, we're just reverting to Oh, Southark,
- 1:00:58wasn't it the South voices? Oh my god, I got mister kat
- 1:01:01I'm a goat Jimmy though it's all right, I mean, come on,
- 1:01:07come man, all right, Lisa thinks he's brave beat me up there.
- 1:01:13Maybe I'll feel something. Oh if I saw a kid says at school,
- 1:01:15I'll probably go, what a bad He's not scared of being beaten up on
- 1:01:19my and Nelson in return doesn't want to beat him u because there's no point.
- 1:01:22It's like that's how you get bullies, no reaction. It's like,
- 1:01:24I'm a bit of a guy who wants to be beaten up. This isn't
- 1:01:27fun. I would have applaud a kid if you did this at school.
- 1:01:30It is not just reverse psychology. Is the jiu jitsu, throw it down
- 1:01:35flip and reverse psychology. That's great because some kids might say that and then
- 1:01:38when they have a fist in their face, so you go, oh,
- 1:01:39actually, he's like, no, do it. And then then Nelson's like,
- 1:01:43oh, well okay, I won't then, but Lisa then holds his
- 1:01:45hand and he's too numb to feel anything, and Lisa thinks it's so poetic,
- 1:01:49and Bart says, you know, he's happy to see him get some
- 1:01:51hand in hand action, he thinks, but he thinks that he's still the
- 1:01:52cool kid. And meanwhile, Nelson says, wait till lunchtime. Even Ralph
- 1:01:57won't sit with Bart. You're just embarrassing yourself. You're embarrass yourself, and
- 1:02:00everyone invites Milhouse to their place after school. If you're a fan of everything

- 1:02:35gave a reason to have the family involved and didn't feel like we're comming back
- 1:02:37to the Simpson We're coming back to the Simpsons because Milhouse was living with them.
- 1:02:40So he gets off the bus at their house. Lisa is just in
- 1:02:43love with him. Now the boys all want to you know, he says,
- 1:02:45I'm going to walk alone. The boys saying, oh my god,
- 1:02:46that's great. And he's like, I'm going to work some stuff out.
- 1:02:49And the girl's like, oh my god. I never forget when Elliott came
- 1:02:52home from daycare, right, and so how's the day he goes good?
- 1:02:57Henry was sad though. I said, oh, oh was it? What?
- 1:02:59What was Henry saying? He guess he's going through some stuff. You're
- 1:03:02four? What stuff are you going through? You know? It's just he's
- 1:03:07going through some stuff. You can't make that up. It's like when I
- 1:03:13had just met Lou this was five years ago, and her young her younger
- 1:03:16son Felix was getting like a big game out of the fridge or something,
- 1:03:21and he opened it's five o'clock somewhere. Kids are amazing. Some ship the
- 1:03:37Holy a new thing now is here. We say, sounds good. She
- 1:03:40has good sounds. Do you want to go to the shop. Yeah?
- 1:03:45Good sounds to steal my co hosting role on the podcast and coming up with
- 1:03:50Zingers know she's not We sawry before earlier she came in, she got shit
- 1:03:54scared. Whether it was the camera or you, I'm not too sure it
- 1:03:57was, but yes, Millhouse. You know he wants to be alone,
- 1:04:02he's gonna work some stuff out. But then does the crump. Everyone thinks
- 1:04:05it's ridiculous, the Marshes. I'll come with your honey, and we get
- 1:04:08the iconic Marsch crump dance. The crumb dance itself not so iconic, but
- 1:04:12just there's a visual of Marshal like leaning down. You see that. A
- 1:04:15lot of Simpsons memes we come up from commercial Partsi's Millhouse now is more popular
- 1:04:19than have He's more popularan him in the school paper. It used to be
- 1:04:23a comic figure. Now he's a tragic one. And Homer says, stop
- 1:04:26speaking your thoughts out loud, which was a metagag because why do people do
- 1:04:30sometimes watching TV shows and I'm like, why are you talking to yourself?
- 1:04:31Why are you saying all these things? I'll coop it out, read your
- 1:04:34mind, And then of course Homer then says, now what to do about
- 1:04:39marsh but then calls the uncle in Solvang. Solvang. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:45California. I need to look this up. Actual place, not for sure,
- 1:04:47because they're very specific with the gags. Yeah, it felt like very
- 1:04:50Simpsons go somewhere gay, didn't it? But he gives in Danish butter cookies
- 1:04:55at Christmas time and you get that. A little bit of Denmark in the
- 1:04:58California East Coast sounds about whatever the Californi Coaster it's like. In South Australia,
- 1:05:02there's that either German place Berenberg that that it's not called that thoughts of
- 1:05:09h the actual name for it. Oh yeah, but I mean that the
- 1:05:12strip it's all German shops, that what you're talking about. Yeah, it's
- 1:05:16not even a strip. It feels like an actual town or suburb like that
- 1:05:21place that that's Flannders went to that time, the place he went to and
- 1:05:27everyone was all happy and nice and you didn't like it there? Oh that's
- 1:05:29right, German street. It was h Yeah, Harndorf. Yeah. I
- 1:05:36did a road trip to Adelaigh once and near stopped off in Harndorf and I
- 1:05:41did have Did you order it like that? Please state the premises on your
- 1:05:49only card Or kicking his chemicals. Please, they're using snaz he fun boys
- 1:06:00off to Let's just do it? Was real, It was really nice.
- 1:06:03The brad first or handleff the handle. Yeah, it feels like but you're
- 1:06:08there for like half down and you're like, I'm done, I'm done.
- 1:06:10Yeah, I've got all the I've got my old the verse I need.
- 1:06:15Well, that's the Can I make a terrible joke? I was driving to
- 1:06:20Adelaide. Should you reckon this joke? Yeah? Oh yeah, no,
- 1:06:23no it's not. It's not a bad joke in terms of tasteless. It's
- 1:06:27not going to be getting me cancels. It's just it's just a dad joke.
- 1:06:29Okay, I love that joke. Yeah. Well, I was driving
- 1:06:30to Adelaide and I saw the sign for handorf IoT. It was a bit
- 1:06:34hungry, so I took a turn for the worst. It should be a
- 1:06:41tour for the first right. Not explaining what's it called Solvang City in California
- 1:06:49actual place? That was straight up a gag you get out of the Christmas
- 1:06:55bomb bomb thing. Solvang is a city in southern California's Santa Inez Valley.
- 1:07:03Okay, sorry about that. Lotsos pronunciation. It is known for his Danish
- 1:07:08style architecture and many wineries. Sounds all right, But meanwhile, those at
- 1:07:12the airport wedding for Norbert, and we get gay lord q tinkledink and I
- 1:07:15was like, well, we couldn't go and up over there a gay joe
- 1:07:16kill me? No, not at all. Norbert then flies in in his
- 1:07:20own plane. Nobbitt's his name, but call him Zach much called the Norbert,
- 1:07:25and he's doing he's doing like cool turns and in his biplane. I
- 1:07:29felt very The story felt very slight grounded and believable to an extent. And
- 1:07:32this guy is coming into someone like this just feels like so like random in
- 1:07:36this story, That's what I mean. It's like, let's get silly.
- 1:07:39He's a cool guy that flies his own planes and doesn't care. He's playing
- 1:07:42blows up and I was like, what, Yeah, it's just we're abandoning
- 1:07:46reality. And he wasn't even a guest star. That's true, I'm guessing.
- 1:07:50I don't know. Well, he's brought in this character for for some
- 1:07:54random reason anyway, But then because the whole and then Danish not Dutch,
- 1:07:59I couldn't I didn't get it. No, I don't take any start.
- 1:08:02I was like, Hamlet, difference is there between Danish and large don't know,
- 1:08:06probably a lot to them. I imagine I'm gonna we're gonna have a
- 1:08:10lot of Danes and Dutch people. Well, let me explain, yes,
- 1:08:15cracks knuckles. But Zach arrives at the school, Millhouse says, I don't
- 1:08:19need you. I don't need you, and no, I sees you've shed
- 1:08:23your Dutch ways and become a true Dane. And so I just don't get
- 1:08:27They keep going with the Dutch and Danish game. Yeah. Tell you what
- 1:08:30though, in a nice sort of united unified theory of fourthing a discount money,
- 1:08:35we're going to be talking about Terrence Philip behind the blow episode of Going
- 1:08:40down to South Park, which we're going to record after this. What is
- 1:08:43Philip appearing in in that episode? Hamlet aka the Dane. Yeah, we
- 1:08:48didn't prepare this. This would preclude us preparing anything. Didn't happen. No
- 1:08:53notes, no notes, Millhouse, there's someone who wants to see you,
- 1:09:01uncle, Zack Millhouse. Your parents may be gone, but I'm here for
- 1:09:05you now. Well, I don't need you. I've learned to take care
- 1:09:11of myself. I see you've become quite a young man, self reliant,
- 1:09:15mature, you've shed your Dutch ways and become a true day But perhaps you're
- 1:09:20not too cool to give your uncle a hug. I promise you won't be
- 1:09:29alone anymore, son, And that takes care of that man. No,
- 1:09:40he's even more popular. He's troubled, but I can save him all for
- 1:09:45crying out loud. This was a nice moment here with Millhouse though, because
- 1:09:48he's trying to act tough. You know, this isn't the real Millhouse,
- 1:09:51but he's putting on this strong sort of exterior. But then he promises,
- 1:09:56you know, won't be a larone anymore, son, and just brings him
- 1:09:58into a Millhouse sort of like cracks and just he's a big cut on.
- 1:10:00He's like, okayed, I need some sort of support. Homer is,
- 1:10:03then we haven't actually seen Millhouse sad about his parents, like actually weep.
- 1:10:09That's he's clearly sad, but it's such a bone deep sadness. So it's
- 1:10:14manifesting itself as this absolute distream boat. Yeah, as this moody dreamboat.
- 1:10:19Homer's raking leaves trying to guess much's eye color things like brown orange alm Rake
- 1:10:24guessing that's similar to what was it the Oh no, it was the the
- 1:10:30same gag as the Wigan one. That's right, closing credits. That's the
- 1:10:34same joke. We're for recycling planet and all that. But still but again
- 1:10:41they closing credits. That's another one of those things where it's saying things over
- 1:10:45just listing, listing, listing. Yeah, Grandpa, there is just randomly
- 1:10:47there on the on them on the hammit because he has to say something here,
- 1:10:51reminds me about the song that he wrote for Marge and uses a rate
- 1:10:54to pretend to play the song. He remembers that Marge ever hears it,
- 1:10:57and she reveals her hazel eyes and all as well in the world. Yeah,
- 1:11:00happy again, Millhouse. That's a similar story to Hank Hill when he's
- 1:11:04sang the Peaga leg song. Oh yeah, last ending that wasn't an episode
- 1:11:08four I reckon the season one. Millhouse and Zach then arrive and the plane
- 1:11:13blows up. Let Milhouse fly the plane. I think he didn't turn the
- 1:11:15engine off or something. It explodes. He's happy for that. He doesn't
- 1:11:18give a shit obviously, Rich I guess, but then asks you know why
- 1:11:23am I annoyed at? Why my annoy about Millhouse? You know, everyone
- 1:11:25loving him, as she explained to him, is because you miss him.
- 1:11:28It's not jealousy. He miss him, and I actually had that my notes
- 1:11:30at the start. I like that Bart's anger towards Millhouse wasn't and a jealousy
- 1:11:33of him saying I want to be the cool kid. It's just he wants
- 1:11:35Millhouse back and everyone he used to be the only one that actually likes Millhouse
- 1:11:40and now everyone loves him. But it's not the real Millhouse, and he
- 1:11:43knows who the real Millhouse is, and he is this Millhouse's line here,
- 1:11:45when you're mean, I'm a trampoline. I like I would have used that
- 1:11:48when I was a kid, when I'm when you're mean, I'm a trampoline
- 1:11:51and bounces back and hits you. That's a Millhouse line. Skinner then says
- 1:11:55that Millhouse is leaving just random. He's going now he's going to be going
- 1:11:58to live with his uncle and the live via a hot air balloon, but
- 1:12:00says, don't go. We make fun of mister Johnson that he goes into
- 1:12:04the rope. He climbs the rope and who's up for a trip around the
- 1:12:06world? So random. Then it just cuts to Kirk and Lewen, who
- 1:12:10have stranded on an island that built a hang glider. They're about to fly
- 1:12:14back to safety, and then they drive straight into the hot air balloon and
- 1:12:16Milhous is happy that they're not going to he's going to be self religed anymore.
- 1:12:19And Zach and Kirk fight over the term Dutchman the end. Yeah,
- 1:12:24the last two minutes of this episode. What happened? That happened? Yeah?
- 1:12:30What was the point of Zach? That was such a bizarre addition now
- 1:12:32that you think about it, now that you bought it up, What was
- 1:12:35the point of having Zach? Yeah, I don't know. From a story
- 1:12:42stretched point of view, the only reason to have Zach was to get them
- 1:12:45to the hot air balloon, to get them to the island, to get
- 1:12:46the reunion. Why couldn't I have just gone to look for them again?
- 1:12:48Why couldn't they have Why couldn't have one of the navy guys, coast Guard
- 1:12:55guards or whatever become like a surrogate uncle. That's one is incredibly insensitive,
- 1:13:00No, We're never gonna find him. The other one's like we could try
- 1:13:02and help the kid out because you just know we're never gonna see Norbit again.
- 1:13:04No random eighty five percent of this episode I really enjoyed. Upon reflection,
- 1:13:09that addition of Zach just felt random to me. I think it's because
- 1:13:13the Dutch Danish jokes just fell flat with me as well. Well, here's
- 1:13:15the thing. If you make a sandwiches eighty five percent tasty ingredients and fifteen
- 1:13:21percent dirt, genuine dirt, not even the storeboard dirt dirt. I really
- 1:13:30taste the dirt in the sandwich. It's really messing with my mortardella experience.
- 1:13:38What do we learn? Saw you left the episode of Davis? Uh that
- 1:13:42in Barbaral four final for car always bet On Suit, I learned I need
- 1:13:46to stop drinking my moomo from Holly's Bubba instead drink your meta mood from this
- 1:13:56Why it's a good meta mood. I had no idea. Man from forward,
- 1:14:01your names will be It's a Guy Davis New Name Championship. Currently the
- 1:14:04board stands at this in first position, we have Adam Moorehouse and Philip Jay
- 1:14:09Hawkins on seven points. In second position on five points, Kyle Muldoon clever
- 1:14:14Kyle and in third position on three points, David Mott and Jared Horby take
- 1:14:17it away with it, Davis, what do we have this week? It's
- 1:14:19a race? Okay? One point goes to Millhouse undivided. Oh, it's
- 1:14:25another point for mister Matt Collins puts him now on too well done, mc
- 1:14:28Collins, Matt. Two points goes to of course, I was gonna choose
- 1:14:31this Millhouse of Pain. I feel like you mentioned House of Pain at least
- 1:14:35once every ten episodes. We're about yes for a shout out, So that
- 1:14:41would be Steve Roberts. He knows you well, man, Steve. Yeah,
- 1:14:44So Steve Robbins now and a little boar with the two points and three
- 1:14:46points goes to three points goes to Van overboard. Ooh, interesting, so
- 1:14:53that we now have a different second position. It's not only Clever Kyle,
- 1:14:58it's now Jared Hornby three points there all right, Jared, Jared Odd six
- 1:15:01points and Clever Kyle's now in a third position on five points. So outright
- 1:15:05second is Jared Hornby. But does mean Adam Willhouse and Philip Jay Hawkins are
- 1:15:10still in first position on seven points, just hanging on there by one point
- 1:15:13five, six, seven, one two three. Wow, that's getting close,
- 1:15:15all right, guys. Well that is our review of Little Orphan.
- 1:15:18Merely hope you guys enjoyed it. Don't forget you can't support us on Patreon.

- 1:15:32Park and our newer show, TV launch Pod. We go back and review
- 1:15:36pilot episodes of old and new shows. But the second episode of TV launch
- 1:15:42Pot is it an iconic show? One of the most iconic teen dramas of
- 1:15:45all time? Is it called a teen drama? Teen drama? It's got
- 1:15:47teenagers in it, and as a somewhat of a drama, it's kind of
- 1:15:50dramatic. It's a great show. So that's gonna be the episode two of
- 1:15:56TV launch Pot. The first episode was Bob's Burgers, which was a lot
- 1:15:58of fun. Yeah, it's a great show, but doesn't have a great
- 1:16:00pilot. This this is the that's the thing. Yeah, this is what
- 1:16:03we'll discuss because we have to sort of review the pilot in its own little
- 1:16:08like what would you call it? Bubble bubble? Yeah, so even if
- 1:16:11we love the show, it's like, would this episode make you want to
- 1:16:13watch more? Yeah? So yes, that's what the whole purpose of TV
- 1:16:16launch Pod is. Well, also entertainment. Entertainment, yes, relatability the
- 1:16:20hook well yeah no, but the whole point of TV launch pot is to
- 1:16:26entertain the listeners. Yes, well yeah, and we don't want to make
- 1:16:28it homework for we don't at all enough homework. Next episode of season nineteen
- 1:16:31we shall be reviewing. It's called Husband and Knives. I wonder what it
- 1:16:35could be A bad I thought it might be a margin Homer marriage and crisis
- 1:16:39story. What who would have thought? Anyway, you guys, what do
- 1:16:43you actually think Husband and Knives? Without looking at the plot Husband and Knives,
- 1:16:45what do you think? I think Homer becomes some sort of chef.
- 1:16:48I would speculate that it's some kind of murder mystery. Murder mystery, Yeah,
- 1:16:53like a Knives Out? Is that what you're feeling? Maybe you see
- 1:16:56that they've started filming the next Knives Out seat. I haven't watched the second
- 1:16:59one yet, that's all right, Yeah, I've heard it's fine, very
- 1:17:01good cast it's in my list of things to watch. We are very good
- 1:17:04cast with this new one. Okay, yeah, well they've always got very
- 1:17:08good casts over these films they do. Ye Anyway, next tiput A Husband
- 1:17:11and Knives can be doing a classic review as well. Here and there in
- 1:17:14this month i've the month is at June. That's right, we're more than
- 1:17:18halfway through the year. We are, indeed, Ali, it's going to
