Transcript
- KayOhKnee: Welcome back to the podcast. I'm your co-host, Kern McKean. With me today on the fifth down is my boyfriend, the fifth down, Nolan Chang. Say what's up to the pod, Nolan. So we are here to talk some tier conversations because we are in the middle of our tier ⁓ pod. And ⁓ we're at tier four this week. So a lot of players to get through because undoubtedly these tiers are just getting larger and larger by the week. ⁓ Nolan: Hello, everybody. KayOhKnee: Anyway, before we get into any of that, we have to give a shout out to our partners over at W Energy. Fantastic tasting energy. All of the energy you need to get through your day. You head on over to W. G G or use the W Energy app. And our promo code, which is poi and soy. That's P-O-I-N-S-O-Y for ten percent off. Your order. Noland, let's talk some NFL fantasy football. Hell yeah. We're almost there, brother. We're almost there. Nolan: Hell yeah. KayOhKnee: ⁓ anyway, we're gonna start off in the quarterback position because that is where we always start. Nolan, ⁓ you know, from last time to this time, what what is different for you? What has changed? Give us your tier four players for the quarterback position. Nolan: ⁓ there's a couple changes. Nothing super drastic, but there are some names that definitely of notoriety. I don't think last time we recorded I had Aaron Rodgers in any list or any tier, so He is now in this tier. ⁓ and he's relatively high. Cause ⁓ I'm I'm liking what I'm seeing from your your Steelers. So I mean high in the tier at least. ⁓ but I do have a starting off, Tyler Shuck, ⁓ because we've discussed he's he's I think he's a very underrated quarterback in the league right now. ⁓ and he showed a lot of great things. So that's why he's there just only cusp of tier three. Aaron Rodgers is next. ⁓ KayOhKnee: Mm-hmm. Nolan: His swan song, his his last ride. I think this is ⁓ I think he's gonna go out guns blazing as as any would one anyone would expect because Aaron Rodgers is just kind of that guy who he doesn't wanna leave the field for ⁓ he is twenty-one. KayOhKnee: What number is this tier for you? You're at what quarterback? What quarterback to what quarterback? ⁓ so your tier is from twenty through whatever you got this in this tier? Nolan: Twenty to twenty eight. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. ⁓ next is Jared Goff. You know, he Jared Goff is always kind of that weird middle range quarterback where KayOhKnee: ⁓ okay, okay, gotcha. Okay. I was just curious. Nolan: some reason he'll pop off in a couple weeks and then he'll kinda have back to earth numbers and he'll pop off again. ⁓ it's mainly because he still has the same receiving core. And I think that if this team has any like inkling of what they have been the last five years, Jared Goff is still gonna be someone that you can rely on ⁓ week to week, depending on the matchup, depending on how things have been looking as the season starts. Jordan Love That's kind of a interesting one, I think, but I I keep him there because he he's still producing the numbers you would expect him to have. ⁓ I don't think he's really dropped down anywhere crazy and he doesn't necessarily have huge blow up games. ⁓ but he is someone that's de definitely worth rostering as needed. Malik Willis, ⁓ I know you had him higher. I'm still kind of wary, ⁓ just because I I don't know how this Dolphins team is going to look. So I am keeping him a little bit there, but he is someone I'm gonna keep an eye out to see if I'm gonna move him up. ⁓ CJ Stroud You know he's he's He's CJ. I he not trash, but he like he he kinda, you know. Alright, ⁓ you said not me. ⁓ next I got Fernando Mendoza. ⁓ I gotta see where this team g looks like as well. ⁓ he's a rookie quarterback. KayOhKnee: Trash. No. You trash. I was like Wow. Nolan: And the O line last year was terrible. They made a lot of movement in the offseason to to help bolster that as well as their defense. So I'm thinking that it may start off a lot stronger, but you know, there's gonna be growing pains. I I think that we have to figure out everything and ⁓ I did put him in a tier and I didn't put Kirk Cousins because I do think that they're going to start Fernando week one. ⁓ but if that training camp says anything otherwise, I'll adjust my tiers. ⁓ Below that, I have Justin Fields. ⁓ I have Justin Fields because we also we I mean we discussed it last week. We don't know what's going on with Patty. ⁓ I do think that he's gonna have something a little bit more ⁓ He's gonna have more time to heal. I don't think that the Chiefs are dumb enough to rush him out. I think that it is gonna be something where they're gonna just because you're doing an aggressive rehab does not mean you're healing aggressively. You know what I mean? It it it that's not how the body works. Unless he's got some, you know, pet pads in his blood, you know what I mean? But ⁓ but I do think Justin Fields is gonna have some value here, especially when you see how the team is looking now. I think that this is gonna be very exciting because he's gonna have a great coach to to work with. KayOhKnee: No if yeah. Nolan: with he's gonna have a great receiving core to work with ⁓ and clearly it's a great program and then lastly I got Jacoby Brissett just because I don't know I don't know what's going on I don't know I don't I don't so here we are KayOhKnee: Mm-hmm. So is there another name connected to that name or is it just that name? Nolan: No, no. I mean I I have Carson in tier five, but he's not next to it. He's not next he's not on the cusp. KayOhKnee: Got you. Okay. All right. I like it. I mean we you and I both went different directions with this tier, but like I think our thinking is very similar and we're probably not far off, just a little bit, you know, mixed up here and there. But ⁓ yeah, to start off the rip, my tier four actually starts off with Justin Fields because I just think that if he's starting for C C one, this is undoubtedly the best team that he's gonna be playing with. Two Nolan: ⁓ KayOhKnee: I there's just ⁓ such a big case ⁓ to be made for his ability to run in this offense and then on top of that the ability of Andy Reid to utilize his skill set and not try to change him. So I think that between his ability to improvise and then sort of his his overall rushing upside, like I just think that with Kansas City, like it's gonna be run heavy, him and him in ⁓ K nine, or I guess ⁓ I don't even know if that's his number anymore. Is K nine still his number? Nolan: Mm-hmm. I think so. KayOhKnee: Okay, I like, so him, K nine, like I think that those two plus the stability of Travis Kelsey, it's gonna offer a lot to him then. I just think that this is gonna be one of those seasons. So I have him at the top of this one. ⁓ Nolan: Am I trippin' did did Keenan Allen sign with the Chiefs? KayOhKnee: Yeah, that was a joke or I guess a running joke because there's another guy whose name is Alan on the roster. Yeah. I forgot what the guy's actual name is. It's like I don't know it was like a crazy name I've never seen. It was like Kajoust Allen or something like that. It was like it was like some weird name. I was like I was like, ⁓ interesting. But yeah, apparently apparently he's been on the roster since like the last I don't know, for like two years or something. So he's been a practice squad guy. Nolan: ⁓ okay. I thought I saw someone post something, I was like, What? Still. Why was it weird? KayOhKnee: ⁓ anyway, so right after him I do have Jared Goff in this tier. again, with d Jared Goff, I feel like it's hard to like move him higher. It's hard to move him lower. He produces, but I'm never excited about his production. And I'm also not really super stoked about getting him on my team. So this is why I always kind of fade him in any draft. ⁓ right after him, Jordan Love. Similar reasons, I mean, if not the exact same reasons, nothing super exciting about his game. I Nolan: Gotcha. Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Definitely am a little more weary to drop him even further, depending on what happens with the Josh Jacobs situation, because I do think that the run game is a large part of why he's able to do what he's able to do. We'll see. You know, s there's a lot of rumors out there around the possibility of like a guy like James Conner being traded here, which I think would be a fantastic fit. so hopefully something like that does happen and that would definitely boost that boys ratings in our ⁓ running back tiers. But anyway. Nolan: Mm-hmm. Yeah, yeah. KayOhKnee: ⁓ yeah, so I am weary and I may push him down lower if they don't figure out the running back situation or if Josh Jacobs isn't playing for them for this year. ⁓ right after that, CJ Stroud. I still believe he's trash and you know, actually as I'm saying it and I'm looking at the name that's right after him, I'm actually gonna swap the two of them, so I'm gonna live swap the two. ⁓ I'm actually gonna put Sam Darnold above him and then I'm gonna put CJ Stroud after that. I just like S Sam Darnold as a floor guy for me. He's again, not somebody that I'm like gonna overextend to go grab, but if he's there, I don't mind him, especially in the later rounds. That's a guy that I Nolan: Especially 'cause for us this will be like a second or third quarterback off the board. KayOhKnee: Yes, yes. Hopefully that's my third. If that's my second, I'll be pretty sad. ⁓ But ⁓ 'cause that would mean twenty two other quarterbacks went off the board before I got to him at twenty three. So anyway, then of course CJ Stroud again. I I am still on the f train that he may be closer to who he was last year as opposed to who he was this first year. And that's a scary thought because he was trash last year. So if he ends up being anywhere near that guy again. I mean the prevailing thought is that that dude might not even be starting for them for much longer. ⁓ after that, Cam Ward. I really want to push him up higher. ⁓ but as we kinda say with a lot of guys, you just gotta prove it. You know what I mean? We haven't seen him produce to the level that we'd like to see him produce on the field just yet. Nolan: I'm think you know, I I know I had him in my tier three, bottom of tier three, but I'm thinking he might he might I'm not gonna say it's to the same results, but he may have that Caleb Williams jump. I think that he's getting he's gotten a better coach. Yeah. I I I'm I'm he's the guy I'm taking that reach, I think. KayOhKnee: I no, I agree. I agree wholeheartedly. I agree wholeheartedly. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I'm I'm I'm with that thought and honestly as we get closer and closer to the draft he may slowly creep up the board for me and that may end up being the same same thing that my my thought process here is that well, I guess this is kinda biased 'cause to my particular roster build. I'm like I'm aiming for him to not be my second, but maybe be my third, but you know what I mean? So like I guess by that instance he would probably be gone by this time anyway, so Which is ironic because I pushed Justin Fields so far up here, but you know what I mean? Like I was just like, maybe. You know what I mean? Like anyway, all right. Moving on to Bryce Young. He's right after him. loved his progression last year. Honestly, it just comes down to again the which one is he closer to? Is it last year, end of year, Bryce Young? Beginning of year, struggling, Bryce Young. Nolan: Yep. KayOhKnee: There's a lot of inconsistencies with that game, so that's why I have him here. And then at the end of this tier, tier four, I have Aaron Rodgers. ⁓ really for for no other reason than, you know, this is just kind of ⁓ hopefully he has himself. I'm not saying, you know, I'm not gonna place that onus on him to be like Matt Stafford level, but you know what I mean? If he can even Yeah, you know what I mean, just he just gotta be you know, he I'm not saying he was bad last year. He was okay. Nolan: Be be back to AR, you know what I mean? KayOhKnee: I liked what he did when he was able to improvise. I do think that this year he's gonna have a lot more creative ⁓ control over his game. He'll also have a lot more say in that ⁓ locker room as well as, you know, in the in the huddle. So I do think that this will be a better situation for him overall. So we'll see how that plays out ⁓ you know, in his favor this year. So let's move over. Actually, you know what, and it's funny because I forgot to mention this before we even started the tears part of this. There was some trade news that we were supposed to talk about before we even got into these tiers. ⁓ because one in particular definitely is going to affect some of the rankings, some of the stuff that we've been talking about, some of the stuff we've been kind of, you know, mentioning earlier on about the hypothetical situation that finally played out. ⁓ but yes, we did get AJ Brown being traded to the New England Patriots. ⁓ and you know, we're finally getting him in that system with Drake May. Nolan: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Locked in as wide receiver one, you know, next to Romeo Dobbs and such. Nolan: We can take a deep br sigh of relief. All the things we've been saying. KayOhKnee: Yeah, exactly. I was like, all that time we were like, it's I mean, we're pushing him up, you know. Yeah, so he's finally up there, ⁓ he's finally over there in New England. Nolan. I mean, I guess from the last time we spoke until now, because that's when the news dropped, has he moved up for you? Has his ranking changed? How does this affect his overall look for for you? Nolan: No. I think I think I I gauged AJ Brown's ⁓ ranking when we covered tier two this second time around, exactly where I'm assuming he'll be, ⁓ as this new environment arrives for him now. ⁓ for Drake May, I mean he's already what the my number two guy. Let me double check that. Yeah he's already number two. I don't I don't necessarily think this overtakes him ⁓ or overtakes Josh Allen for him just because it's Josh Allen does a lot with his legs. He technically should be a better quarterback this year. so kind of going into it, AJ Brown is steadfast in my middle of tier two. ⁓ I think he's going to return to a wide receiver KayOhKnee: Mm-hmm. Nolan: ⁓ But let's keep in mind this is an older AJ Brown. I d I don't necessarily think he's lost a step, but I don't necessarily think he's as spry and agile as he once was. KayOhKnee: Mm-hmm. Not as limber as I once was, but I make up for it with willingness and enthusiasm to experiment or something else. ⁓ yeah. ⁓ anyway, ⁓ yeah, I did adjust mine. and as I was looking at it just now I did make some live adjustments just to really hone it in there. But ⁓ if you were going back to the tier two conversation, of course we had the Malik neighbor stuff, so I've dropped him to the bottom of the tier now because of all the injury news and Nolan: Well done. Fifty first days, everyone. ⁓ KayOhKnee: I know it's I know it's just, you know, kind of like for funsies at this point, but you know, his what was it like the dodgeball? No, not dodgeball, kickball or Nolan: kickball. Well, I'm also wondering because everyone's like, ⁓ he's hobbling. I was like, well, if I remember correctly, he just had cleanup surgery, right? So I mean he I he's hobbling because i if he wa if the coaches and GMs allowed him to go do that that game, I'm pretty sure it's because he's not in any danger of like being seriously injured again or reinjured. KayOhKnee: Just looks like he's kinda Yeah, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I agree wholeheartedly. I think people were taking it way out of context, which is why I still have him in tier two. He's at the bottom now for me. We put him at number fourteen. ⁓ I did also slot Devontae Smith up one slot. So he actually overtook Nico Collins, who I pushed down to thirteen. ⁓ and you know it's funny, I f I'm really just fading him because of the whole it's it's the Texans and I just I am firmly on the I don't believe in CJ Stroud train right now. ⁓ Nolan: Mm, mm. KayOhKnee: And then the other kind of big change that I did make now that I know that AJ Brown is officially a New England Patriot, is I put him at number nine, just behind CeeDee Lime and George Pickens. So he is above Chris Olave at ten and Tetaroy McMillan at eleven. And AJ Brown is at nine for me. I have him Yeah. So yeah, so we're right in the same range. Yeah, right around about the same area. ⁓ but yeah, I just I firmly believe that Nolan: He's he's my eleven right now. We're we're the same same, yeah. KayOhKnee: This dude in a New England Patriots uniform, especially with how passionate he is about the Patriots, having been a longtime fan. He reunites with Mike Vrabel, who was his head coach over in Tennessee for a long time. ⁓ now he's I mean he's he's undoubtedly the wide receiver one in this locker room. I just I'm excited to finally get a full wide receiver one AJ Brown season. And this is a dude that I am I'm buying pretty hard on this year. So you know Nolan: Mm-hmm. You love to see it. KayOhKnee: I'm not sure where that's gonna leave me in the draft because Nolan: You know, we've we've we've trusted in him in years past. We each of us have been a manager of him and ⁓ it's it's had its ups and downs, you know. Yes we did. Yes we did. Yes we did. KayOhKnee: That's true. That is true. I think we both had him as Eagles, though. And Eagles version of AJ Brown was not great. And it's not your fault, AJ. Yeah, it's not your fault. I'll just say that. So this year, hopefully, with a guy who can actually chuck the ball towards him, you know what I mean? I I think AJ Brown undoubtedly is gonna be in the wide receiver one conversation this year. So ⁓ yeah. Nolan: It was great. In in doses. In doses. KayOhKnee: I think that's the biggest one that affected us. I mean we have we can talk we can touch on the Aaron Donald news because we do have a longtime Rand fan on here. What did you like about it? What did you not like about it? Thoughts, opinions? I mean, yeah, sorry. Ma well, it's gonna be it's gonna be both of ⁓ you know what I mean? No. I was like, so Miles Garrett obviously gets traded to the Los Angeles Rams for Jared Verse. A first, a second, a third. So that I mean Nolan: Yeah. The Aaron Donald you mean Miles Garrett? I was like, did Aaron Donald sign? I was like KayOhKnee: I don't even think they overpaid. They should have gave up more picks 'cause screw the future, right? ⁓ Yeah, forget it. We don't even need a future. Nolan: Tya. Tcha. Yeah. Forget the future. Yeah. ⁓ Look, ⁓ as a Rams fan, you y you kinda look at it in the right now. ⁓ very exciting. I think this does put a lot KayOhKnee: That's the only way to look at it, 'cause there's no future. Nolan: Yeah, yeah, yeah, exactly. ⁓ But I mean it's it's also very it's very LA. And you know, I say that as an LA Teams fan. Yeah, it's very LA. We we are we are very KayOhKnee: Yeah, bro, yeah. Dodgers, yeah, I was like Nolan: Instant gratification. Yeah. Aggressive for instant gratification. So the the goal is here to to win now. ⁓ you have a quarterback who's playing at a MVP level, clearly. ⁓ you have wide receivers who are either one still a dangerous threat in the red zone or two, the best or s arguably the second best ⁓ wide receiver in the league right now. ⁓ KayOhKnee: Aggressive. ⁓ yeah. Nolan: And you wanna bolster this the the defensive end. You know, I think Jared Verse was a fantastic player for us in the two seasons he was with us. He created, I think, top five in pressures ⁓ throughout the league for his position. But he also, you know, w didn't increase what we lacked. ⁓ and that was specifically Sacks. And I think that Miles Garrett kind of brings that edge to us because I do believe, if I remember correctly, Jared Verse ha ha KayOhKnee: Ha ha edge. Nolan: Jared Verse, I don't think, had double digit sacks in either of the seasons that he played for us. And I think well it you know, it's a little bit more different because obviously Miles Garrett is more on the edge, but I think this is more important for us to kind of get that turnover rate. ⁓ to get a bigger chance at stops, things like that. Are we giving up the future? Yes, we are. Because we want to win now. And you know, yeah, it's crazy though, right? I mean, it's it's nothing. Yeah, I mean like KayOhKnee: He almost won defensive rookie of the year, but whatever. It's like it's like, how dare he not lead in sacks as a rookie and sophomore? God, screw that guy. Get rid of him. Almost wins defensive rookie of the year, but he's trash. Nolan: Right, right. ⁓ I didn't say that it's trash. KayOhKnee: I don't know. You know what I mean? Like I ⁓ sorry, go good. Yeah, yeah. Nolan: So here we are. I am I'm excited for the season. Yeah. No, I'm just saying I'm excited for the season. Like this is it brings a boost of caffeine into my in my blood flow right now because of it it's Miles Garrett, dude. Like we got the defensive player of the year. He's he's the what he's the record h holder now. Like it's this is this is big stuff. KayOhKnee: MVP DPOY and MVP on the same team is wild. And there's a there's a real case to be made that if he had been healthy the entire season, you might have also had offensive player of the year in Puka Nakua. I'm just saying that would have been that's for that's pretty wild to think. Like all three on the same team is pretty wild. ⁓ yeah, I mean obviously like as I kind of mentioned off pod is like my dad is pretty upset because you are really giving up your future by doing stuff. Nolan: Yep. Yeah. KayOhKnee: you know, doing the move. You know, Miles Garrett isn't any younger. You know what I mean? He's definitely up there in age as far as like NFL football players are concerned. So who knows how much longer he's gonna be playing. You did just have one of the greatest of all time retire. So I think that is another worry, right? Whereas Jared Verse was just coming into his own. So it was a little bit of an overpay in my opinion. But I do think from like the I I just Nolan: Yep, yep. KayOhKnee: This is not I don't think it was a a lose situation, you know what I mean? I think it was a win win for both teams. Like undoubtedly a win win no matter what. Because you're right. Yeah. Nolan: Yeah. The Browns are going younger. Clearly they're trying to create a ⁓ I don't want to say a dynasty. They're trying to create something. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. This is how you set up your future for success. KayOhKnee: And they've had the best offseason, period. Like this trade solidified that their best. ⁓ yeah. They they are ready to go. And I just rewatched like the there was like a little ⁓ special on YouTube about the Fono brothers and how they got drafted to ⁓ Cleveland and I just the future is Very bright for Cleveland. So, you know, shout out to them for, you know, getting themselves a young stud and just absolutely I didn't even know he was from Ohio, so that also adds a little bit of a wrinkle to it. So another cool little thing for him. ⁓ even though he looked super depressed, but you know what's funny? That's all just like the the what are the script writers or having a field day with that one because yeah, undoubtedly him being there with his girlfriend Nolan: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Welcome home. And Miles Garrett's now closer to where his ⁓ his girlfriend grew up. So there you go. Mm-hmm. Ram Steelers Super Bowl, let's go. KayOhKnee: I'm just saying if that happens we buying tickets. So I was like, Yeah. Nolan: Brother, that is so fucking exp ⁓ sorry, so expensive. ⁓ twenty-one fifty-eight was the timestamp. KayOhKnee: My gosh. And more work for Kelly. I don't care how much it costs, Nolan. Nolan: ⁓ KayOhKnee: Literally, when will we ever have this exact opportunity in LA to watch our two teams go at it in the Super Bowl? You know what I mean? It's never happened in history before. It could happen this year, so I'm just saying. Nolan: You're right. That's true. That's fair. That's fair. KayOhKnee: Would you rather be able to eat or have memories? Anyway, moving on from potty mouth Nolan over there. Let's talk about our running back tier four. Because yeah, undoubtedly gonna be some changes here as well from the last time that we spoke, because there's a lot of moving pieces within this exact tier, or at least for me. I'm not sure where you're at. This one goes from thirty through forty four for myself. Nolan, where does it go for you? Nolan: Kind of like to live. KayOhKnee: ⁓ player ca player number wise. Nolan: It goes twenty-eight. KayOhKnee: You know what I've realized the other day when I was reading your thing, or like that I was throwing myself off because obviously like the the the first column or the first row is like you know, the label and then so I was like reading the numbers from this side and then I realized it's one down. Yeah, yeah. So I was just like Nolan: ⁓ yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like shifted one, yeah. So so mine is twenty eight to forty three. It's a big it's a big tier. But but there's there's not too many fluxes in it, so it it should be okay. I mean I'm just gonna run through ⁓ I'll I'll mention the changes. god dang it. Rico Dattle for you guys. ⁓ KayOhKnee: ⁓ Wow. Yeah, you're more than almost more no, you are more than me, yeah. Wow. Go girl. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Nolan: I still think that he's gonna be the running back one entering this season. I do have Jalen Warren not too far behind him, so it's n it's not like he's he's too far off. ⁓ Chuba Hubbard, I think he now that he's he's got the keys for the backfield in Carolina, it's gonna be Real good for him production wise. It won't be that whole kind of stressful thing, like who's gonna get the take? You take this drive, I'll take this drive, kind of thing. It's gonna be him all the way. ⁓ Bajel Tutin. I think that he's gonna have a big runway to earn his stripes. ⁓ but that'll be up to him. Then Jalen Warren, like I mentioned, Ramondre Stevenson, you know, he's here because I just don't know. we'll we'll never know. ⁓ but maybe they're KayOhKnee: Like NFL on C V S I think was the one that posted like a graphic of like ⁓ the projected P Patriots lineup and it had Ramondre starting and I was like, You don't you even put that into the ether. You don't even put that out there. It's Trevion Henderson. Shut your face. Nolan: You poop heads. Yeah. next I got J.K. Dobbins because I do think that he he still shows a lot more veteranship than RJ Harvey has right now. But I do think RJ Harvey by the end of season will be the running back one. ⁓ Blake Horm comes in next. We've already talked about him and Kyron kind of splitting the backfield, apparently. So we'll see how that kind of plays out. He could move up, he could move down. Tony Pollard. ⁓ you know. Tony's there because he still got something? I don't know, you know. ⁓ KayOhKnee: That's crazy to me to think that like Tony Pollard is technically starting, right? There's like thirty two NFL teams. He's number thirty six for me. What number is he for you? Like thirty So like he's not even starting for us. Like even though he's still a starter, we have like a couple of backups in front of him, so Nolan: He's a w he's a running back one. And he's I mean, on the team. Thirty five. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. I mean it could be a completely different dynamic change now that ⁓ Salah's over there. KayOhKnee: Maybe he's Dallas Cowboys, Tony Pollard, you know what I mean? Maybe he's just balling this year. Who knows? Nolan: Maybe, maybe. under him I have Algier. Poor Algier. ⁓ yeah, I mean, he's he's he'll he'll get what he gets. You know, I shout out to the boy. Yeah. I I wished better for you, buddy. I wished better for you. ⁓ under him I have Jordan Mason. KayOhKnee: I know. gosh, I know. I will say I agree with what you were saying kind of the last time we spoke on this though, this tier, of like there's a good possibility that they slow roll it with Jeremiah Love and that he does end up being you know what I mean? And if he if he just Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Funny because on my screen I couldn't even see you do whatever you're doing that made you joke, so I missed whatever happened right there. But ⁓ anyway, what I was saying was Tyler Algier, you know what I mean? I'm really hoping that that dude just gets the ball out for them as their starter and then messes up maybe not the full rise of Jeremiah Little, but at least puts into their minds that you know the boy can still play. Nolan: Sorry about that. Choked on water. Yep. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, yeah. Yep. I'm okay though. Alright. Next one, Jordan Mason. ⁓ the Aaron Jones contract restructuring kind of tells me everything I need to know. It looks like they're gonna try to shift to younger with Jordan Mason. He had a lot going for him last season that he didn't live up to. KayOhKnee: gotcha. The old wrong pipe situation, ⁓ Yeah. Nolan: So I am hoping this is kind of his breakout season. Aaron Jones will be kind of there to spell him as he needs. And then I have Aaron Jones right under him, which for obvious reasons you pair them up because this tier is a lot of I don't know what's gonna happen. So ⁓ we're kind of just place placeholding right now. ⁓ one of the names that did move up into this tier under him was Rashad White, because KayOhKnee: Yeah. ⁓ yeah. Nolan: more as it comes through. I just feel like Rashad White is gonna be the one at the start of season and it just it it makes more sense. I think he's the more ⁓ polished back bill does not really change anything for me. ⁓ I have Kal Nunga next. ⁓ I do think that he I believe you had him in tier three the last week. Is that correct? KayOhKnee: I did not. No. Nolan: ⁓ it what he marks you there? KayOhKnee: I did not have woody marks either. Nolan: I swear you had one of them. What? Am I tripping? Alright. I'm tripping. I'm tripping. ⁓ either way, Kyle Manungai and Woody Marks, I don't know why in my head they're kinda like very interchangeable in how I saw them last season. Where they were kinda like these rookie they're these rookie backs who were just kind of coming in. They were just supposed to be there. They had a lot going for them. Shut up. KayOhKnee: You tripping dog. Yeah. Yeah. I was like, don't just yeah. Where is that at? Nice. Good cover. Nolan: Shut up I'm gonna start throwing F bombs just so you have to do more editing. But yeah, I I do think that KayOhKnee: Fart bombs, ⁓ grow up. Nolan: Anyways, moving on, James Conner, mainly because I don't know what's gonna happen. If he gets traded, fantastic. I think he has a lot more to give. ⁓ but James Conner being at OTAs gives me ⁓ a lot more ⁓ hope. But being behind Algier, Jeremiah Love, I I just don't see him seeing the field that often. I think it's really gonna be like a a weird thing because what, they still have Trey Benson too, who's younger and probably should be healthy by the start of season. I don't know what's going on. If Arizona has any intelligence, they will trade one of those two guys. Or both. Yeah, I am saying you stupid. KayOhKnee: Ooh, he said you stupid. The whole state? He said Arizona's stupid. Nolan: Lastly I have Bill at the end of this tier. ⁓ once again, 'cause I don't know what's gonna happen if we're gonna start with Rashad White. I think I should be Rashad White, but you know, here we are. Here we are. KayOhKnee: Yeah, I I also agree. I have I have no idea what's gonna happen at that situation. ⁓ I was also like very much debating bringing up Catron Allen, which is the one that they drafted this year. just because again, none of these guys are really fully set as the starter. But anyway, ⁓ to start off the rip, I do have Chuba Hubbard, ⁓ at the top of this tier. I mean, he's starting, so undoubtedly he has to be here. But, you know, there is growing kind of not I guess concern is not the correct word, like growing optimism about Jonathan Brooks' status. So we'll see where that because obviously when he coming out of college, he was like a one of those similar to like Jeremiah Love or Ashton Genty, seen as like a very high tier prospect kind of guy. Nolan: ⁓ Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Injury history aside, I still think that if he can lock into that, there's a possibility of that. So Chuba Hubbard here at thirty. and I actually did bring up Jonathan Brooks to thirty-five. So he's not right behind him, but he is five after him. ⁓ just because I know. I know. It's a name I drafted that his rook the drafted his rookie year and man, I know he's really good. So it's it's it's more on that like if he ends up Nolan: ⁓ Jonathan Brooks. You drinking the Kool-Aid? But it KayOhKnee: Being healthy this year, there's a I mean he's better than Chuba Hubbard in my opinion. Like Chuba Hubbard like the floor guy. He's like the I guess if you had to put it in terms of like another team, it'd be like Arizona. Chuba Hubbard's like James Conner. Always gonna produce. Not super great, not super bad, but just right there. Jonathan Brooks is like the next level guy. So if he can be healthy, I have him here in this tier for that reason. But he looks good during training camp. I mean, that dude he'd be cutting and Nolan: Hasn't he gone through two ACLs? KayOhKnee: Jiving and jumping and I mean supposedly Canalis is, you know, in love with what he's seeing. So I I ain't gonna I ain't gonna I ain't gonna you know what I mean? I ain't gonna keep fanning the flame, but I'm I'm just saying there's a possibility. And that's why I put him here. But anyway, ⁓ and I will also to defend that point too is this is like I'm taking swings point. You know what I mean? This should be like Nolan: Alright. Alright. I'll keep an eye out. I'll keep an eye out. Yeah. Your fourth running back. Yeah. KayOhKnee: Running back four. Yeah, exactly. I'm not really like hoping that this is like my starter. So anyway, Chuba Hubbard at the top. Right after him is Rico Dado. I still have him behind Jalen Warren. Right now he is ri thirty-one. Jalen Warren's twenty-seven for me in tier three. ⁓ it really just comes down to so far, everything in training camp, it's it's Jalen Warren. It's Jalen Warren's job to lose. Rico Dado has been understanding of that. They've had interviews of him talking about his position as RB two in this spot. Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: He is acknowledging the fact that it's going to be a 60-40 split. So there will be a little bit of that. However, you know, as t as time goes on, I'm sure he'll he'll he'll val his value will jump. But where I have him right now is like RB2 after Jalen Warren. So ⁓ and then after that, of course, is another very annoying situation with Romanjo Stevenson because we can't push him any lower because that graphic could be right. You know, he could definitely start to. Nolan: Mm. They use him. KayOhKnee: That's not to say that he's gonna have the most carries because he has started he did start all of last year, but he didn't always have the most carries. So a very, you know, great for fantasy situation over there in New England. But anyway, ⁓ we got Blake Quorum at thirty three. ⁓ again, everything you said, you know, he's the backup, but pushing further and further up into the conversation because we don't know if he's gonna start eventually at some point. ⁓ and he has looked really good in all of his starts, so Unfortunate, he's kinda like the Algier in the situation where it's like you just happen to be the guy who is starting and keeps producing. So ⁓ after that I do have Kyle Mononga because I do believe Kyle Monongay is another one that will be eating into DeAndre Swift's touches this year. I have a just a a really strong inkling that this will be very similar to the Colston Loveland situation where, you know Nolan: Yeah. KayOhKnee: We started the entire year having Col Komet be like the starter at tight end for this for this team and then as Colston Lovelin got more and more, you know, comfortable with the system, Col Komet sort of became an afterthought. I think that that's gonna happen with DeAndre Swift. I just think that Kamanong guy is just a little bit quicker, just a little bit better, younger, obviously, so there's all of that. I just think that it's it's slowly gonna work him into what Ben Johnson envisions for him and we'll see more of a Jameer Gibbs David Montgomery split for the two of these guys. ⁓ and then we got Jonathan Brooks who like I just mentioned, buying on the upside of a Jonathan Brooks starting. ⁓ I am willing to maybe nah maybe not reach 'cause I don't think anybody's gonna draft him, but I am willing to at least y Yeah. Yeah, I was like I was like, I think that there's a possibility that if he's not Nolan: Maybe as your f sixth, fifth, sixth running back. KayOhKnee: Going up the rankings too far and he's still available at like round I don't know thirteen thirteen through sixteen. That'll like where I consider grabbing him. But ⁓ then I got Tony Pollard after that. Again. Sounds disrespectful because he's starting and he's technically RB one, but he just never really does anything. So you know what I mean? Like w who wants that guy? You know what I mean? The touches are there. I also am firmly on the train that Nick Singleton is gonna eat into those touches because Nolan: Okay. Yeah. Mm. KayOhKnee: I think that he's gonna work his way up that depth chart and they drafted him this year and it's Robert Salah and it's a whole new coaching staff. Like something has to be said about this being a new group. Tony Pollard's gonna have a very short leash to start the year. ⁓ then it's JK Dobbins. ⁓ again for the weird situation that they're in. I still haven't behind RJ Harvey, who is in the other tier here, but I am itching him closer and closer to Jonah Coleman, who is the Coleman that I was trying to mention last week. ⁓ so Jonah Coleman Very much so fits the exact role that they are kind of hoping will be the opposite of what RJ Harvey does and that's where JK Dobbins was. I think that there's a good possibility, man. Jonah Coleman is just slowly and he looks really good during training camp. obviously a lot younger, so he looks like more spry and very, very ⁓ springy, but I think that there's a good possibility that if JK has any sort of injury during this year, that's just you know. Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Rocket to the moon for Jordan Coleman. But ⁓ after that, Aaron Jones, because I still think that he's gonna be starting. I I just don't envision that he's gonna disappear from this similarly to R Romanju Stevenson. And I do have him ahead of Jordan Mason just because of what you said. Like Jordan Mason finally got the chance to be the guy and he just didn't do anything with it, you know what I mean? Yeah, he and I'm you and I were both on that trade. We reached, you know, or we were willing to reach. Nolan: Mm. They didn't do it. We were high on Jordan Mason last season. KayOhKnee: Yeah. he balled out it in San Fran, so I thought for sure this dude was gonna be the truth, but yeah, he he kind of, you know, he flubbed. So right after that, Rashad White. I do have him ahead of bill. I believe that he's gonna be the starter eventually. ⁓ I just think that this team needs a floor, he's the floor. And I think that if they throw him in a system with Jaden Daniels, he's a great pass catcher. To me, he just fits exactly what the Washington commanders needed. When they got rid of Brian Robinson Junior. So ⁓ after him, Tyler Algier. Again, everything we said. Not even gonna go into that one any further. Jordan Mason after that. Woody Marks is the next one here. for really nothing other than he might be starting or maybe second. Who knows? I don't know what they're thinking over there in Houston. Hopefully it's David Montgomery 'cause I did have him ranked a lot higher here. yeah, so hopefully it is David Montgomery and not Woody Marks, but it's Houston, you know what I mean? Nolan: Yep, me too. KayOhKnee: They make they make some dumb decisions. So then it's Chris Rodriguez after him, because I do believe Chris Rodriguez is going to have at least the goal line role for ⁓ Jacksonville. And then of course the end of the tier is going to be Bill, ⁓ who I'm not excited about and may honestly push out of the tier in general. So ⁓ anyway, that'll do it for the running back position. Nolan, let's move over to the wide receivers. Who do you have and what numbers do you have for this tier? Nolan: Yeah, we'll see. Twenty nine to forty three. KayOhKnee: Ooh, we were almost exactly. That was that was close. All right. Nolan: Yeah. Starting off, got Wandale. ⁓ I I had him the Carnel Tate ended tier tier three for me, so Wandale kinda has to be right there. some would we're both kinda high on as well, but you know you know, you know, there's still a chance. They can coexist, right? Right? Right? KayOhKnee: And no. Huh, one day. I believed in you. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I do I do believe that, yeah. Nolan: ⁓ I got Marvin Harrison Jr. underneath that. He may move up. You know, he's KayOhKnee: I will say I will also gonna say to the ⁓ Wandale Robinson point though. I know it's it's just preseason and all that stuff, but Iomanor man, he looks pretty good. I know, I know, I'm just I'm just saying. Like there is a world where we got X and Z and then we got Wandale in the slot. I'm just saying that Nolan: Don't do this. Don't don't don't cloud my judgment. KayOhKnee: That boy do be looking good on the opposite side of Carnell Tate. I think that that three receiver set could be money. Nolan: Are we putting down a bet for Tennessee to make playoffs? Is this what we're doing? Are we doing this? Are we doing this right now? Yes! KayOhKnee: Ha ha no Okay Yes ⁓ I honestly the odds must be really good, right? We should try I'm just we should look at it and enter you know I I I'm down I'm down. I'm with you on the h this could be the Caleb Williams trajectory, so I'll you know. Nolan: Throw a little just a little sprinkle, you know. Yeah, yeah, yeah. ⁓ they said he's been using his legs more, so you know, KayOhKnee: Well, who do you okay, Kelly, I'm gonna I do wanna pose. Them or the Giants? Nolan: ⁓ KayOhKnee: Yeah. Nolan: ⁓ KayOhKnee: Yeah, one had they make the playoffs. Nolan: I mean if it's to make the playoffs, I I gotta s it's gotta be the Giants. Right? No, you know what? No, I'm I'm thinking it might be Tennessee. Their division is a lot softer. It's it's gonna KayOhKnee: Yeah. Hot bruh I'll just say I'm with you. I am drinking a Kool-Aid Nolan: Unless we unless we parlay it. Bigger payout. KayOhKnee: Okay. No, because I we'll work on it later. Let's let's lock back in. Wide receivers, okay. Hooded after Wanda Robinson like, catch us on our betting advice podcast. No, I'm just kidding. Nolan: With just a coup a couple legs, you know, you know? Alright, sorry. This is not what you came here for, everybody. This is for fantasy. Marvin Harrison Jr. Have we won a lot? No, because there's not a big sample size, but here we are. ⁓ yeah, it's true. Marvin Harrison Jr., he's liable to be moved up in my rankings. ⁓ we've we've talked about it. You know, I'm I may just switch him and Michael Wilson at some point in the next month or two. Zay Flowers, I have him here. KayOhKnee: Car saying Beck. Car saying Beck. Nolan: Zay Flowers may move up as well, ⁓ because he is still the wide receiver one for that team. He still has chemistry with ⁓ Lamar Jackson. This is a new coaching staff, new new offense being run. It could be a completely different team than we've we're used to with the Ravens. Alec Pierce. KayOhKnee: Saw hot take that really got me like super interested in Zay Flowers. Apparently, if he had if he could have gotten himself like three more touchdowns last year, then he would have been wide receiver one. So the belief is that he could finish as wide receiver one this year. Nolan: What? What? Hmm. KayOhKnee: Putting it out there. Nolan: Live change. I was gonna I was gonna KayOhKnee: I just put it out there. I saw that and I was like, That's an interesting factoid, I'm just saying ⁓ Nolan: Alright, alright, alright. clearly Zay Flowers has been moved down a lot from where his ADP is, so I i I am just low on him. It could be a completely different story. I may move him up, yeah. KayOhKnee: Yes. No, I'm I'm with you still. I'm still with you. ⁓ he's not very high for me. Like I still have him I still had him in tier three, so it's not like I believed in him enough to move him up to tier two, which is where they have him, but Nolan: ⁓ next I got Alec Pierce. ⁓ you know, he had the ankle cleanup stuff. I'm just kind of worried that he's I don't want to say he's gonna be behind schedule, but maybe behind in getting the reps with whoever the QB is looking to be for week one. That's that's the only thing I'm looking at right now. ⁓ to build that kind of chemistry and reading, timing, everything like that. ⁓ He will be moved up most likely once I get some better news just on how he's doing, and once he's on the field and stuff. Devontae Adams is next. He was a high ADP. I don't understand why. He's very touchdown dependent from last season. ⁓ so that's why he's in tier four for me. DJ Moore, not much to be said there. He could have a wide receiver one season, but I I this is This is far removed from where he used to be, so I I don't know if that's really in the cards. ⁓ Josh Downs, I have moved up from where he was ADP because it's Josh Downs. He is finally gonna be seeing the field, hopefully for a full route participation. ⁓ Cortland Sutton's here in tier four because we've talked about it. We don't trust him as a wide receiver one. Jalen Waddle's there. He may be like my third or fourth wide receiver off the off the board. Yeah. KayOhKnee: Damn. Yeah, I was gonna say I was like, he's pretty low for me as well. So Nolan: ⁓ DK Metcalf, only reason is because ⁓ KayOhKnee: Ugh You put ⁓ behind Cortland Sutton, you disrespectful. Nah, I know. I yeah. Damn, and I just realized, yeah, you had Pittman so much higher. Damn. Damn. I w I I agree with what you said though about Pittman. So you know, as a wide receiver too, and not catching the double teams as much, it might I mean it might Nolan: You know, it's it's because they got Pittman there and when DK was the wide receiver one I did. I I did. Yeah. Skyrocket. ⁓ Jordan Addison's next. He's still the wide receiver too there. ⁓ Kyler can throw the ball, so and accurately more accurate I would say is than ⁓ JJ McCarthy. So that's what we're looking at for him. Chris Godwin, no Mike Evans there. It's just him and Abuka. KayOhKnee: Cesh, yeah. Mm-hmm. Nolan: I think that this is gonna be a return to form for Chris Godwood now that he's got a full off season to heal from where he was last season. he's probably gonna get a full route participation. KayOhKnee: It's so funny because where you put them, I'm like imagining you're gonna say something bad about them, but then it's like your words and your rankings are like it's like Chris Godwin, he's gonna resurge year. So I have him at number fifty seven. Like Nolan: Yeah, I know, I I know. He's gonna resurge, but I can't the but that's dependent on him hitting that projection. You know what I mean? ⁓ KayOhKnee: Yeah, ⁓ yeah, yeah. I was just like, whoa I was expecting you to be like, I don't believe in the Buccaneers. I was like, damn, you put ⁓ below in Cortland? Ew Nolan: And then these neck these next two wide receivers, I feel like I'm gonna move up because it just feels it feels blasphemous having them this far down. BTJ and Jacoby Myers are both here at like 41 and 42. I think they're better than that. I I do. I just when I was making my list, I couldn't figure out who I'm gonna move down over them just based off of what we saw last season. A new season, new reinvigorated BTJ, maybe. He's healthy, says he doesn't hurt anymore, so I don't know. ⁓ after that I got QJ. KayOhKnee: ⁓ Nolan: ⁓ Quentin Johnston. I think that he showed a lot of what we were hoping for in year one. So now year two showed what he had. Year three. Yeah, ⁓ he's he's a little low. Yeah. KayOhKnee: Whoa, I just realized what you just said. Wow. I like that shot though. No, I no, it's high for me. Yeah. Nolan: ⁓ really? I was like I was ⁓ only reason is because considering where I put Herbert, the fact that I have this wide receiver all the way down here, I think I had Ladd in the middle of my tier three. It feels weird having those two not like in the debate for like top of tier three. Kinda weird. Yeah, but fine, fine. ⁓ and then last in my tier I have Makai Lemon. ⁓ that's just because I need to see more. I I like what I see so far. KayOhKnee: And I'll move him up too. Fine. Fine. Nolan: But I need to see this equals offense. ⁓ and I need to see what they're doing with this new new OC and n without AJ Brown, he's probably gonna go up. KayOhKnee: Yeah, yeah. I was like hopefully wide receiver two, but I will also give some, you know, kudos to Dontavia and Wicks because I do think he's supremely talented and was always kinda just sitting behind the rest of the guys. So be interesting to see where his role fits for this team. But ⁓ to start off tier four for myself, I do have Devante Adams. ⁓ I mean realistically, I I f I could slide him a little bit further past this. I'm not super keen on grabbing him here. But when it is a wide receiver that's in like this top tier offense, which I still believe the Rams will be, It's just hard to like move him past some of these guys who I'm just still so shaky on like the quarterback situation or the team situation in general. So that's why I have him at the top of this tier. After him, I do have Alec Pierce. recently saw a podcast where he talked about his sort of why he stayed and that it meant a big deal to him for Daniel Jones to re-sign and for them to keep their, you know, collective chemistry. I just think that, you know, with him stepping into the role. Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Past the surgery stuff, he's gonna be one of the best receivers ⁓ to have, especially at this value. ⁓ after him, I do have Jordan Tyson. I moved him up quite a bit. ⁓ I do think that him being a number two to Chris Olave in the Saints offense, I think with really no other receiving threat in that room other than maybe Joan Johnson is kind of the other guy here. If I'm believing in Tyler Shuck like I am believing in Tyler Shuck, I just think Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: T Jordan Tyson's gonna be one of those guys that is gonna be eaten. And considering he was drafted very high in the draft, I mean there's a good possibility that him not being double teamed and having Chris Olave there is gonna take some big time pressure off of him. So I really like the prospect of him being here. Right after that, I do have Michael Wilson. Again, I could slide him further, depending on who the quarterback is. I hate saying that. You know what I mean? I'm with you, I'm still with you. Nolan: Don't do it. KayOhKnee: He's still here. You know what I mean? Still number thirty two here. So I I'm I'm worried about his situation, but I Okay, all right. ⁓ but I am still worried about his whole situation right after that. Ironically, I have the back to back. So I have him and Wandell Robinson, the two guys that we were super high on that did change because of the situations with their teams. ⁓ I am more worried about Wandell than I am Michael Wilson, though, because Michael Wilson's still undoubtedly I I I just think that there's Nolan: I'm here. I'm here. Yeah. KayOhKnee: Even though Carson Beck like the highlight guy right now, I just think that it's not really a I mean, I just think it's still gonna be Jacoby. You know what mean? Like Jacoby still is under contract, you know what I mean? Obviously the extension stuff is gonna be the extension stuff. If that becomes even more drama, which I don't imagine Jacoby is going to do because really like he doesn't have any leverage here, you know what I mean? Like he kinda has to play to make them keep him because they do have another guy who's capable of starting Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: And they also have another guy who's capable of backing him up in ⁓ Gardner Minshew. So even more so, I think there's gonna be tremendous pressure on Jacoby to start. And if that is the case, Michael Wilson's probably shooting up to the top of tier three. So ⁓ yeah. Anyway, then it's DK Metcalf, ⁓ for the reasons you said, but I still do have him ahead of Michael Pittman just 'cause he's the one here. ⁓ and him and Aaron Rodgers seem to, you know, love playing with each other. So Hopefully that means more touchdowns this year. I don't know. We'll see. You know what I mean? That's that's a guy that I'd like to believe more in and have more stock in, obviously it. But you know, we'll see. Chris Godwin follows him. ⁓ for what you said, him being the number two to a Mecca. I do think that that that it is gonna be that way. It's gonna be, you know, Mecca. Probably Jalen McMillan is gonna be the third in three wide receiver sets, but I think that him and Chris got or Godwin and Omeka will be the two wide receiver sets and you know, I really do like them being here together and without Mike Evans. So hopefully Chris Godwin can just stay healthy. After that, thirty six, I do have Makai Lemon. I'm pushing him to the moon post A. J. Brown trade. ⁓ Nolan: Pushing him to the moon at 36. I know what you I know what you meant. KayOhKnee: Yeah, well, I mean, from where he was, he was like tier ⁓ yeah, I was like I was like dad, he was like tier five, middle tier five, but ⁓ I did put him here because I do think that it well one, having AJ Brown being traded leaves a just a large gap of touches that, you know, are gonna need to go somewhere. I think Don Tavian Wicks I mean excuse me. Not Don Tavian Wicks. Who did I just who was the number two? Don't they have somebody else? They they traded for somebody. ⁓ it is Don Tavian Wicks? My gosh, why where did my brain just go? Yeah, I know what the heck. Tell me it's happening. ⁓ anyway. ⁓ Dontavian Wicks. I think that there's a good possibility that he does become the the Z and then Makai Lemon is like the slot guy ⁓ in this offense. I think that Nolan: Devontae Smith, Mackay, and Dantevian Wicks. Yeah. You just talked about it like a minute ago. We're getting old. KayOhKnee: That is a great role for Makai to be in. I was hoping he was gonna be that guy for us. So him being that for Philly is gonna be a great spot for him. ⁓ right after that I do have Parker Washington. I am fully believing that Parker Washington is gonna be the one. Yeah. Nolan: He is someone I think I'm gonna move up to. But I had the other two in the tier tier four, so I was like, do I just stack ⁓ all three together? Nah, you know what? I'll do it now. I'll stack ⁓ all right now. Where are you? KayOhKnee: Just 'cause you know what I mean? Yeah. I yeah, trust, yeah. I was like, I d Yeah, do it. Yeah, do it. Where do you so where's that put in for you then now? Nolan: ⁓ I mean this technically moves down McC he'll be forty second. KayOhKnee: Where where's that three? ⁓ okay. And there were BTJ and Jacoby? Nolan: Forty one and forty. KayOhKnee: ⁓ you still have ⁓ you're talking about Makkay is going to forty second. Wait, where did you put Parker Washington? ⁓ you put Parker Washington at forty ⁓ you're just putting them closer together. Gotcha. Okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. Gotcha. Okay. Yeah, I have Parker Washington at the forefront of these three guys. I think what we saw last year when he took over sort of the permanent slot role for this team. I think that that's gonna be something that gets utilized tremendously. Nolan: I meant Parker. 'Cause you said Parker Washington. So I moved him up to stack all three of Now I did. Stacking ⁓ stacking ⁓ all together, yeah. I'm drinking the Kool-Aid. KayOhKnee: Especially with Liam Cohen, man. I'm just saying, like, we saw what he did with Olave as a slot guy in ⁓ New Orleans and they still had Michael Thomas at that time. Like I think that that's Parker Washington's role. And I think that that he's gonna thrive this year. And even though I am still buying on the talent of BTJ as a guy who can be a guy on, you know, ⁓ the best guy on a ro good roster, it might not it just might not be this roster because I just think that the way that Nolan: Yep. Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Trevor Lawrence plays and the way that Parker Washington plays, it's just like, you know what I mean? It's like you you find your guy and that's the guy that you stick with. So yeah. Parker Washington at 37 for me at 38. I do have Ricky Pearsall. I bumped him up high here because I do think that he is gonna be the number two in this San Francisco 49ers offense. I think that there's gonna be I man, I don't know why and I I I really can't explain where this inkling is coming from. I just think that there's gonna be sort of this resurgence boon for the San Francisco forty niners, man. I am buying pretty hard on Brock Purdy being a tremendous threat this year. I'm buying hard on him being able to make both Mike Evans and Ricky Pearsall big time threats. Ricky Pearsall was a first round draft pick. The cards are lining up for this kid to have himself a breakout year. I think he's one of those guys that I'm I'm just believing in tremendously this year. ⁓ Right after that is the two other Jacksonville Jaguars. So I have Brian Thomas Jr. Jacoby Myers for everything I said earlier. And then to follow that at 41, I do have Cortland Sutton. ⁓ yeah, I I am not super high or keen on him at all. And there's another couple of guys here that I'll say in a second that are also way down here that I also don't believe in that are in this tier for that reason. ⁓ following up though, that's Jordan Addison right after Cortland Sutton. ⁓ I do like him in this offense. Juwan Jennings is a little bit of a threat that I am worried about, especially with TJ Hawkinson also being there. So, you know, we'll see. Kyler Murray, if he can, you know, feed all four of these guys. That's something we're gonna have to figure out throughout training camp and such. after that, I do have Josh Downs. I do like him as the number two over there in Indianapolis. Then I have Michael Pittman, former teammate, now at the Pittsburgh Steelers. Again, gonna have to prove to me that. He can support two wide receivers in the tier, you know what I mean? Aaron Rodgers wise. Hopefully, the offensive line can give him a little bit more time. Hopefully, he can get the ball out a little quicker. We'll see. ⁓ after that, you did convince me, so I did move up Quentin Johnston to 45 here. and I I agree wholeheartedly that he is a guy that could be even higher than this. ⁓ I'm slowly working my way to that thought. It's more so on the fact that like Nolan: Unkar. KayOhKnee: How much do I believe in Justin Herbert, even though I do I'm starting to believe more and more in him, but you know, it it's gonna take some time because we've had a lot of bad years with that kid. But to end the tier of my final two names in here that probably most people are gonna be just tremendously surprised, but I'm never burned by either of these two guys and I always fade them, and that is Rasheed Rice and Jameson Williams. ⁓ Rasheed Rice for outside reasons, obviously. We don't know what's going on with his situation. We'll see how that plays out. He'll probably move up somewhere up in this tier just because you know what I mean. But he'll probably be drafted before or long before this. But again, with two things outside stuff going on with Rasheed and the move to Justin Fields, I'm just curious how fantasy relevant Rasheed Rice is going to be, especially if it takes and I'm going to say this right now Patrick Mahomes is not ready to play. Like If you've seen that dude throw the ball, I know it's been very light training camp stuff. He looks like not even close to being ready. So if that's the case and we're waiting until December for Patrick Mahomes to come in, I I'm very much so fading Rasheed Rice. ⁓ and follow that, Jameson Williams again. What have you done for me lately? Yeah, absolutely nothing. You know what I mean? ⁓ yeah, that's right. You haven't is he in the is he forty seven around there for you? Nolan: Mm-hmm. There's a reason I haven't mentioned him yet, you know what I mean? Forty nine. KayOhKnee: Okay, so yeah, we're right about the same. Yeah. I was like, yeah, he's at the bottom of this tier. Can't really fade him though. You know like you can't keep fading him because obviously he's gonna be wide receiver two, but he's so boomer bust, it's annoying. Yeah. Anyway, ⁓ that will finish out my tier four wide receivers. Nolan, let's get to that tight end position and finish up this pod. Tier four. Well, tier three was pretty large for both of us. Tier four, where are you at with your tight ends? What numbers? Nolan: I'm gonna name these two because they're the same team. Mainly because I'm assuming they're gonna coexist just based off of who their OC is. David Njoku, Aronde Gadsden. ⁓ you know, we had a insane coming out party for Aronde Gadsden last season. I don't think that can be overlooked. But you're getting an Njoku who was overshadowed by a rookie last season, ⁓ whether it was for a good reason or for wrong reasons. They're here together now on the same team with Mike McDaniels, who is a visionary, I guess you could say. ⁓ so there there is a world where these guys can coexist, but they are not gonna be a Titan I'm taking first. They're gonna be like a backup because I wanna hold and see. ⁓ next I got Hunter Henry. I still think that Hunter Henry has a lot to give, especially in this offense. Like this is a it's a weird thing to say, but I don't think that the Patriots are a team that has too many mouths to feed. I think they're very well balanced. and I think that this yeah, I think that Hunter Henry is a is a pin or a pinnacle point in that offense as well. So he's got a lot more going for him. Dallas Goddard, I I mean, I think that this is gonna be ⁓ a big thing, big season for him 'cause it's the end of his contract. KayOhKnee: That's a very good point. Yeah. Mm-hmm. ⁓ my god, it's again the tone at which you're speaking, it always sounds like the opposite. Dallas got it Nolan: No no well that's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. Like I th well, you let me finish. It's like I don't know how this team is going to kind of view it because they they drafted a tight end, correct? I've turned is it Eli, yeah, okay. It was Eli. and you know, that's KayOhKnee: Eli Stars, yeah. Nolan: That's not something to ignore. I mean, it it seems like you're you're doing that for a very specific reason. The changing of the guard, if you will. Dallas Garter maybe phased out, or maybe they're gonna give him an opportunity to start the season to like, hey, are we going to extend you? Or what's the deal? So ⁓ that seems like a Yeah, yeah. And I don't yeah, I don't have any qualms with that either. ⁓ next I have Dalton Schultz. KayOhKnee: There's a reason I had Eli ahead of him in the last year. Mm-hmm. Nolan: He's just kind of old faithful for the Houston Texans. ⁓ I mean it's it's nothing flashy, but you know, he gets the job done. ⁓ Mason Taylor is the one that I may be moving down for Kenyon Sadiq. ⁓ you know what? I'm gonna do it. I'm gonna do it now. I'm just I'm not gonna beat around the bush. I'm not beating around the bush. ⁓ Mason Taylor, you're gonna be the into tier five. I'm sorry, sir. KayOhKnee: Sure. I was able to say bro. I was like I was like Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nolan: So Kenyon Sadiq is next. Haha. yeah, I I I like a lot what ⁓ I saw from him when I watched his tape ⁓ for college stuff. I think that this new kind of it seems like they're a revitalized team now in New York. And I think that he's gonna be a big part of that. ⁓ it sucks for Taylor, but KayOhKnee: Mm-hmm. Nolan: Kenyon CDQ is a great talent, so I'm very excited to see that. And then last on the list is ⁓ TJ Hawkinson. And that's just same thing for Dalton Schultz. He's kind of old faithful. Nothing flashy. He gets the job done. KayOhKnee: TJ Hawkins. ⁓ okay. I was like, geez, do I not have TJ Hawkins in here? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. He was in the last tier. ⁓ yeah. So ⁓ to start off the rip, I got t ⁓ tight ends twenty three to twenty nine in this tier for myself. ⁓ wow, geez, yeah. I put way too many guys up here then, I guess. ⁓ but yeah, so I have Pat Fryermouth here to start off the tier. ⁓ Nolan: You had ⁓ higher, I think, right? ⁓ yeah, mine was seventeen to twenty three. KayOhKnee: I think that this is the year we finally get a Pat Firemouth year. We've been waiting for, you know, I mean Yes. I was like, but technically Pat Firemouth is getting paid more than Darnell Washington still. Cause he was the ⁓ third highest paid tight end when he signed his extension, his rookie extension. And he's still on his rookie extension. So ⁓ but yeah, Pat Firemouth I have here at the top just because it's this is the year, man. I was like, he's the receiver threat. Nolan: Didn't they just extend Darnell? Mm. KayOhKnee: Even though Darnell Washington is big and can, you know, keep anybody from tackling him, I Pat Farmworth is undoubtedly the better receiver threat. Finally we're gonna get him being utilized this year because it Mike McCarthy is making that a point, ⁓ to start him and to have him be the tight end threat. He man, if you saw his chemistry with Aaron Rodgers last year, the fact that they weren't writing up plays for him is just such a shame. Nolan: Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Because he is still to me one of the best tight ends from a receiving standpoint. He can do it all. So he runs his routes really cleanly. He's also really big, good at contested catching. Like he still can be a receiving threat. So I put him here at the top of tier four for myself. Right after that, I do have K D Otten because I do believe that Tampa Bay is still gonna have one of the more prolific offenses this year. And K Dotten is still gonna be a large part of that as the red zone threat for this team. ⁓ Mekko Buka is undoubtedly gonna be somebody to, you know, be looking for in that same exact area as well as Chris Godwin. But I just think that there's no writing Kate Otton out of this offense because he's just too big, too strong, can catch anything. I just think there's just undoubtedly gonna be a role for him. ⁓ right after that I do have J Jake Jake Tungus, ⁓ for what you kinda mentioned in a couple tiers, or no, it was last year that you had Jake Tungus, right? Yeah. I was like last last week's tiers were Jake Tungus. ⁓ Nolan: Yeah. Mm-hmm. KayOhKnee: Wholeheartedly agree. Like honestly, if George Kittle wasn't a thing, he would undoubtedly be like a maybe in the top twelve conversation. You know, who knows? Cause I do think that he is good enough to be in that conversation. After that, the two Chargers tight ends, starting with David Njoku, then a Ronda Gatson. We'll see how this plays out. ⁓ I do think that David Njoku has lost a little bit of his step from where he was like a couple years back. However, there is like the ongoing belief that like, you know, just sort of from where he from what he can do from a receiving s threat standpoint and then the fact that you didn't believe in Orande Gatson enough to not sign a veteran guy that is supremely talented, it puts some red flags there for Ronde Gatson, which is kind of crazy because he was like tight end three or something for like the end of the year when he was like balling out. Yeah, so kinda crazy. But Nolan: For stretch. KayOhKnee: ⁓ after that I do have A.J. Barner, the Seattle Seahawks. I think that he is still their best tight end threat. ⁓ I still think that he's gonna be sort of a spike weak guy. He's not gonna be anything that I'm looking at in particular as far as like a solid floor guy, but I do think that he's gonna be in the conversation to be ⁓ a receiving threat for the Seattle Seahawks, especially ⁓ with just kind of how they run their offenses and especially with the new offensive coordinator being in there for this team. ⁓ I think A.J. Barner is still gonna have a solid role as like the fourth pass catcher on this team. At the follow that, a guy that I'm slowly but surely moving up that I kinda wanna move above A.J. Barner, but I I'll hold off on that until I can get a little bit more, is Greg Dulcich, Miami Dolphins. I think that one, those reports, two, I man, when he was in Denver, I firmly believed that he was the best tight end on that team. Nolan: Mm-hmm. Mm, I I did see those reports. KayOhKnee: Couldn't stay healthy throughout that year, hoping for a clean bill of health for him for this year. I really like his game. I really like what he can do from a receiving standpoint. I think he is a guy who could be such a big boon for Malik Willis if that report is true. Hoping that he can, you know, handle his business and be the number one guy for Miami, especially since they haven't re signed ⁓ Nolan: Johnu. KayOhKnee: Nope. Cause we had John who. It's your boy. Nope. The guy that you li my gosh, Nolan, all the wrong guys. The guy you don't like, Darren Waller. There we go. I was like, what was your guy's name? I forgot what his name was. Yeah, Darren Waller. So I like, they haven't re signed him, so still a free agent. And if Greg Dulce is just starting, you undoubtedly gonna be the guy. And ⁓ if you No, I didn't why. Nolan: Hearst. Gaseki. I don't remember ⁓ Darren Waller. I was like I mean, did you see the interview with Darren Waller? So he was there, he was in the office when Mike McDaniels got fired. So he was doing his exit with with Mike McDaniel and like he was talking about and Mike was saying, like, yeah, I'd love to have you back next year. I'd love to have you back next year and then he at that moment the owner walked in. KayOhKnee: He's gonna be a charger. No, I'm just looking. ⁓ Nolan: And then kinda they all kinda like stared at each other and Mike was like, ⁓ we'll finish this conversation later later, Darren And then literally twenty minutes later, he got the the report came out and he's like, What the hell? KayOhKnee: That is so awkward. Wow, that's actually crazy. I didn't know that. It's crazy. ⁓ well, I mean, in fairness, you know what I mean? And then they got in Joku, so it's like an upgrade over him. So ⁓ anyway, yeah, that'll finish out my tier four tight ends. I I mean, clearly if you've been paying attention to my tiers, I do not believe in any of the Daltons. So you'll see that play out in the next tier. But anyway, ⁓ Nolan: So that's why he didn't get resigned, 'cause it wasn't his Yeah. KayOhKnee: That will do it for this episode of the fifth down tier four conversation. Nolan, do you have any other advice for the people at home before we bounce on out of this one? Nolan: We're almost time to draft. KayOhKnee: I totally thought you were gonna say we're all in these together. Yeah. Nolan: I mean we are though, you know? We're a collective unit. I'm excited. Flights are booked, hotels booked. KayOhKnee: Yeah. I know. I don't wanna think I don't wanna think about it too much, you know. I wanna think about it too much. Okay. ⁓ yeah, anyway. ⁓ yeah, that'll do it for this episode of the Fifth Down. It has been a pleasure. It's been a joy from all of us here at Poi and Soy. Nolan: Mm-hmm. Okay. Good vibes and love, everybody. KayOhKnee: Bang bang.
