- 0:00Speaker 2: Time out.
- 0:00Speaker 1: We're back to the basics and healthcare with Balance Life Chiropractic,
- 0:02Speaker 1: and we're here with doctor Harley. We're taking a break
- 0:05Speaker 1: from what we've been doing.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, we finished out the neck and I
- 0:09Speaker 2: felt like this was a good time for back to
- 0:11Speaker 2: school because what do you know, school starts this week.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Isn't it weird? Because it just feels like when I
- 0:15Speaker 1: was a kids, school didn't start till after Labor Day,
- 0:17Speaker 1: And now it's like the kids get out of school,
- 0:19Speaker 1: take two weeks and then come back and.
- 0:21Speaker 2: See us again. Maybe not quite that quick.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it just feels like it's not a very long summer.
- 0:26Speaker 1: So people who are getting ready to go back to school,
- 0:30Speaker 1: there's some things they should do when they think about
- 0:31Speaker 1: their health as well.
- 0:32Speaker 2: Right right, I'm sure a lot of parents, you know,
- 0:34Speaker 2: like you said, they're like, oh my gosh, it is
- 0:36Speaker 2: already back to school. I didn't realize school starting so fast.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Where did the summer go? And so that causes a
- 0:41Speaker 2: lot of stress and anxiety and you know, the household,
- 0:44Speaker 2: the parents, but let alone the kids getting them all
- 0:46Speaker 2: ready for the new routine, and you know, even thinking
- 0:49Speaker 2: about like the back to school bugs we'll talk a
- 0:51Speaker 2: little bit more about that one next week, but just
- 0:54Speaker 2: you know, getting a plan ready for going back to
- 0:56Speaker 2: school will make it so much easier.
- 0:58Speaker 1: And again, this is not just for the kids, mom
- 1:00Speaker 1: and dad, This is for you guys too, and everybody's
- 1:02Speaker 1: health matters, So this is just a really good time
- 1:05Speaker 1: throughout the year to kind of check in and go, Okay,
- 1:07Speaker 1: how am I doing? And sometimes your body's not communicating
- 1:10Speaker 1: the way it should be, and that's where a chiropractor
- 1:12Speaker 1: can help kind of get all of that stuff back
- 1:14Speaker 1: in line and get everything working and then you just
- 1:16Speaker 1: feel better for sure.
- 1:17Speaker 2: We've talked a lot about it a lot how important
- 1:19Speaker 2: our nervous system is, but when it comes to handling
- 1:22Speaker 2: and managing your stress and getting used to new routines,
- 1:26Speaker 2: having a well functioning and well regulated nervous system is
- 1:29Speaker 2: a huge thing, especially for those kiddos who the other
- 1:31Speaker 2: whole routine is about to get changed up again.
- 1:34Speaker 1: And again, this would be a good time to set
- 1:37Speaker 1: an appointment because this is not like you know, some
- 1:40Speaker 1: things when it comes to back to school, like a haircut,
- 1:42Speaker 1: you can just stop in. At some places you need
- 1:43Speaker 1: an appointment. In other places, it's best to have an
- 1:45Speaker 1: appointment when you're coming to see a doctor.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Harley right, for sure. During that first day appointment, we
- 1:50Speaker 2: take a little bit longer. We sit down, we talk
- 1:52Speaker 2: about what are your health concerns, you know, look at
- 1:54Speaker 2: your health history, all the things that you're doing or
- 1:57Speaker 2: maybe not doing that can be relating to the things
- 1:59Speaker 2: you're experiencing, and explaining how chiropractic can help with a
- 2:03Speaker 2: lot of the health issues that you or your family
- 2:06Speaker 2: are dealing with. So it takes a little bit of
- 2:08Speaker 2: a time. We want to make sure that we have
- 2:09Speaker 2: plenty of time to go through all the things, answer
- 2:12Speaker 2: all the questions, and figure out the best plan going
- 2:15Speaker 2: forward on how to help you or your family with
- 2:17Speaker 2: their health issues.
- 2:18Speaker 1: And also to make sure that there's time in your
- 2:19Speaker 1: schedule to meete with them, because you don't want to
- 2:22Speaker 1: be squeezed in between two other people and have to
- 2:24Speaker 1: rush everybody through. So it does make a lot of sense.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And if somebody is wanting to make an appointment, is
- 2:29Speaker 1: it best to call to go to the website? What
- 2:30Speaker 1: is the best way to start that whole process with you?
- 2:33Speaker 2: There's a couple different ways to get scheduled. Giving us
- 2:36Speaker 2: a call is probably the most direct. Our phone number
- 2:38Speaker 2: is six year O five two one five one seven
- 2:41Speaker 2: eighty five. You can even schedule online on our website.
- 2:44Speaker 2: We have a book online option there as well.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Is there one that you preferred? You like to talk
- 2:48Speaker 1: to them ahead of time or do you like it
- 2:49Speaker 1: when they just pop in and say, surprise, here's what
- 2:51Speaker 1: I got going on.
- 2:52Speaker 2: That's a good question, I think, or I suppose whatever
- 2:54Speaker 2: works for them. Yeah, it really is whatever easiest for them.
- 2:57Speaker 2: If they have specific questions before they're atment, yeah, then
- 3:00Speaker 2: giving us a call and you know, asking those ahead
- 3:03Speaker 2: of time can help. Otherwise, you know, most things we
- 3:05Speaker 2: addressed during your appointment.
- 3:06Speaker 1: And everybody's different, Like for me, I don't know. You're
- 3:08Speaker 1: probably shocked by this, but I like to talk to people.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I know chakra, isn't it.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Who would have thought John Smalls who runs a radio
- 3:14Speaker 2: talk show.
- 3:15Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, but there are some I talked to a
- 3:17Speaker 1: person the other day because they sent me their phone
- 3:19Speaker 1: number call or text, and then I called them. And
- 3:22Speaker 1: then when I was talking to them, they're like, I
- 3:23Speaker 1: was kind of hoping you would just text me. I
- 3:25Speaker 1: was like, I like to talk, and they're like, I
- 3:26Speaker 1: hate to talk. So there's like a whole generation of
- 3:28Speaker 1: people who don't like to talk on the phone. So
- 3:30Speaker 1: for them, if it's easier to text, or if it's
- 3:32Speaker 1: not maybe not text, but easier to go to the website,
- 3:34Speaker 1: then that's probably the route they should take, right for sure.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Yeah, whatever you are most comfortable with, we will get
- 3:39Speaker 2: you scheduled and get you in for your new patient appointment.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Very nice. You can find the phone number and or
- 3:44Speaker 1: if it's easier for you to just do it right
- 3:45Speaker 1: there on the website. You can find all of that
- 3:47Speaker 1: online and the website is Balanced Life sd dot com.
