- 0:04Speaker 1: some of us did.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Yeah, uh, you know how I feel about that.
- 0:10Speaker 1: So Sue and I decided, well, let me back up
- 0:13Speaker 1: a bit.
- 0:14Speaker 3: Uh.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Some months ago, there was a big family tripped planned
- 0:18Speaker 1: with with Sue's brother and family members, and we were
- 0:22Speaker 1: all going to meet down in Maui and run a house,
- 0:27Speaker 1: have a good time.
- 0:29Speaker 2: For like like four or five days.
- 0:31Speaker 1: Yeah, and so we we bought our tickets on Hawaiian
- 0:34Speaker 1: Airlines and uh, then we had an emergency in the
- 0:38Speaker 1: family had to cancel the trip. So you call Hawaiian
- 0:44Speaker 1: Airlines and say I got to cancel. They say, well,
- 0:48Speaker 1: that's funny.
- 0:50Speaker 4: Refund we don't do that.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Now, we don't do that.
- 0:53Speaker 1: Uh, you have to use these tickets. And not only
- 0:57Speaker 1: do you have to use these tickets, you have to
- 0:59Speaker 1: use them before the end of February or you will
- 1:02Speaker 1: lose all that money a waste. Yeah, their return policy sucks.
- 1:07Speaker 5: All right.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Anyway, so we waited and we waited and we waited,
- 1:12Speaker 1: and we finally, Okay, we got this three three day weekend. Well,
- 1:16Speaker 1: what we'll do is we'll book first class. We'll use
- 1:19Speaker 1: up all the money. Yeah, you know, first class seats
- 1:23Speaker 1: on Hawaiian airlines will go down for a quick weekend
- 1:25Speaker 1: get away to Honolulu. Sure, okay, and uh and this
- 1:30Speaker 1: was a grudge trip is what I kept calling it.
- 1:32Speaker 2: This is this is a grudge against Hawaiian Airlines.
- 1:35Speaker 4: We're going to use these whether you like it or not.
- 1:37Speaker 1: And since it's first class, you get complimentary beverages. And
- 1:43Speaker 1: so I thought I'll teach them a lesson. I will
- 1:48Speaker 1: drink all their liquor.
- 1:51Speaker 4: It's a long flight. You get a lot of.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Long long flight them five and a half hours, and
- 1:56Speaker 1: and and this, you know, the flight attendant just keeps
- 1:59Speaker 1: bringing the yeah you know. But anyway, so we we
- 2:02Speaker 1: we sit down. Flight attendant very nice, helpful. She brings
- 2:07Speaker 1: a plate of Macadamian us.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Oh you're going to Hawaii.
- 2:11Speaker 1: I get to eat all of these, and I can
- 2:13Speaker 1: have more, I said, more Macadamian.
- 2:15Speaker 2: That's more.
- 2:17Speaker 1: So we can start you off before we take off
- 2:20Speaker 1: with the following drinks. We have this signature my tie that.
- 2:24Speaker 3: We well, yes, of course, so.
- 2:30Speaker 1: Keep them coming system, That's what I told her, So
- 2:33Speaker 1: keep them coming. So I thought, well, I better not
- 2:35Speaker 1: just keep doing my ties. I better go back and forth. Yeah,
- 2:38Speaker 1: I'll do my tie shard name my.
- 2:42Speaker 2: Good good plan.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I didn't realize, oh how bad it was. M and
- 2:50Speaker 1: I should have realized because my ties the main ingredients
- 2:54Speaker 1: dark rum, dark rum my y does not do you well.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Dark rum is my enemy.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Did you get in a rustling with the flight attendant
- 3:01Speaker 5: on the no the aisle. No, nearly got into one
- 3:05Speaker 5: with Sue.
- 3:06Speaker 1: But yeah, we we arrive and I I.
- 3:10Speaker 2: It just said it suddenly cut up, caught up with me.
- 3:15Speaker 2: I don't remember getting to the hotel.
- 3:20Speaker 4: Harry Jackson, good for you.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Oh, and Sue says, being on the bulkhead probably screwed
- 3:26Speaker 1: you to the in flight always checked on us first
- 3:29Speaker 1: because as they were going back and forth. So yeah,
- 3:32Speaker 1: we're right there next to where they're preparing everything.
- 3:34Speaker 2: Keep them coming, sister.
- 3:36Speaker 1: And so we arrive in in Honolulu, we check into
- 3:40Speaker 1: the hotel and it's it's just bad.
- 3:44Speaker 5: Now. You spend the rest of the weekend sleeping it off.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I wish I could have. So, so Sue's like leading
- 3:51Speaker 1: me around. She goes, we got to get some food
- 3:52Speaker 1: in you or something. So she's she's dragging me through
- 3:55Speaker 1: the streets of Honolulu.
- 3:57Speaker 2: And when I say, dragging me.
- 3:58Speaker 1: I mean that, well, eat me, I should say, And she.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Said, you're not standing up right, You're not. Yes, I
- 4:08Speaker 2: am standing up right. Apparently I was walking like and
- 4:15Speaker 2: she's like, we got to get some food in you.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So she drags me into an ABC store and buys
- 4:20Speaker 1: me an egg salad sandwich and a big thing.
- 4:22Speaker 2: Of water and says, you're gonna get there. Go you
- 4:28Speaker 2: win this round Hawaiian Airlines. That's all I could say.
- 4:34Speaker 2: But yeah, it was.
- 4:35Speaker 4: It was bad. That is a that is a quick
- 4:38Speaker 4: around for Hawaii garry.
- 4:40Speaker 5: That is, so you get there on you left Saturday
- 4:44Speaker 5: Saturday morning, or like you get there.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so I started drinking at six six am.
- 4:48Speaker 5: I think you get there at Saturday afternoon, and so
- 4:52Speaker 5: you got Sunday and then you have to come back Monday.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Yeah. No, we came back late Sunday. We were driving.
- 5:01Speaker 1: We flew back overnight and got here Monday morning at
- 5:05Speaker 1: five am.
- 5:07Speaker 2: But that day after that is just pain, A lot
- 5:14Speaker 2: of a lot of pain. The only solution for that
- 5:16Speaker 2: is more more alcohol.
- 5:17Speaker 1: Well that's what I thought, the dog. But here's the thing,
- 5:21Speaker 1: I couldn't bring myself to drink. I understand that too.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I was like, I got to calm down here, all right,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and sus like, we got to get some food in you,
- 5:29Speaker 1: more food in you.
- 5:31Speaker 2: And it's like, we're not going to go out for
- 5:33Speaker 2: dinner tonight. I know, we thought about it.
- 5:34Speaker 1: But you're in no shape order room service, and so
- 5:39Speaker 1: we ordered room service this wygu burger thing and that
- 5:43Speaker 1: thing was so greasy.
- 5:46Speaker 2: I haven't thought about throwing up in a long time.
- 5:48Speaker 1: Oh but the yeah, ordinarily this burger would have been delicious.
- 5:54Speaker 2: So it wasn't the burger's fault. It wasn't the burger's fault.
- 5:57Speaker 4: You did.
- 5:58Speaker 2: It was my fault.
- 5:58Speaker 1: I don't want to blame the unnecessarily Mike, and Nashville says, yes,
- 6:02Speaker 1: my tie before Chardon ain never been sicker.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Is the same people who came up with squirrel fight.
- 6:10Speaker 2: It's that same.
- 6:11Speaker 5: It's uh, you know, I can see the burger standing
- 6:14Speaker 5: up on the plate and saying, this ain't my fault, buddy, But.
- 6:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought about trying.
- 6:19Speaker 1: But anyway, we got up the next day and we're
- 6:20Speaker 1: walk so much walking around Honolulu and h yeah, sadly,
- 6:26Speaker 1: our last meal in Honolulu was was not good.
- 6:29Speaker 5: Not good.
- 6:30Speaker 2: Yeah, it was barbecue.
- 6:33Speaker 4: Just I feel like this is a letdown of a trip.
- 6:35Speaker 2: The whole trip was.
- 6:36Speaker 5: Yeah, And the horrible thing about Hawaii to when you
- 6:40Speaker 5: go there is that you have to fly back at night, but.
- 6:43Speaker 3: You have to check out of the hotel in the day.
- 6:46Speaker 3: So then it's what do you do all day with
- 6:48Speaker 3: no hotel room?
- 6:49Speaker 1: That's exactly We've had to check out at noon and
- 6:51Speaker 1: walk around until like five pm. And I told Sue,
- 6:56Speaker 1: I said, well, next time, let's just spend the money
- 6:58Speaker 1: and then that way we have room and we can
- 7:01Speaker 1: leave when you take a shower, and leave when we
- 7:03Speaker 1: need to leave.
- 7:04Speaker 3: And you know, and also next time, I kept thinking
- 7:08Speaker 3: all weekend, we're gonna hear from Carrie and he's going
- 7:10Speaker 3: to call and say, well, now that we're here, we're
- 7:12Speaker 3: going to stay a couple more days.
- 7:13Speaker 4: No, No, that was a long way to go for
- 7:15Speaker 4: two days.
- 7:16Speaker 2: No, yeah, it was.
- 7:18Speaker 1: Again it was a grudge trip, so I had to
- 7:21Speaker 1: take care of all that. Ten miles the day after
- 7:24Speaker 1: my drunken day, Yeah, we walked ten miles.
- 7:28Speaker 2: So yeah, I was, you know, all day Monday, I
- 7:30Speaker 2: was walking a little old man.
- 7:34Speaker 4: But so no beach time.
- 7:37Speaker 1: No, we got near the beach. We were there on
- 7:41Speaker 1: a Sunday. There was a lot of church.
- 7:43Speaker 2: On the beach and we were remember where you got
- 7:48Speaker 2: stung by a bee?
- 7:49Speaker 4: Yeah, on beach, stung by a bee on Waikiki.
- 7:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that was there. But there was a lot of
- 7:55Speaker 2: church and they were doing baptisms in the ocean.
- 7:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 7:58Speaker 1: I mean, if you're gonna do it, I suppose I
- 8:03Speaker 1: would have just said, just put me under and leave
- 8:05Speaker 1: me under. Let Jesus take me for real ease. But yeah,
- 8:14Speaker 1: But then after that I started to recover and I
- 8:17Speaker 1: was able to have some beverages normally, and now I'm
- 8:20Speaker 1: back to normal.
- 8:21Speaker 2: But it's the dark rum. It's the dark rum. And
- 8:24Speaker 2: I just and I made the mistake of.
- 8:26Speaker 1: Saying to the to the to the hostess, keep them coming.
- 8:30Speaker 5: And there's a there's a lot of sugar in the
- 8:31Speaker 5: rum and a lot of sugar in the in just
- 8:34Speaker 5: what the mix of.
- 8:35Speaker 1: The exactly, And it was just here's the thing about
- 8:39Speaker 1: Hawaiian airlines, the first class it's just okay. It reminds
- 8:42Speaker 1: me an awful lot of regular class in the old days.
- 8:46Speaker 1: You got a meal, the seat was okay.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Not it's not.
- 8:51Speaker 4: Worth the money.
- 8:51Speaker 2: It's not worth it, not worth if you're thinking about it.
- 8:54Speaker 2: That's just me. That's just me.
- 8:57Speaker 1: My tie before chardinery, before shard. Carrie cannot play chardonnay
- 9:03Speaker 1: before my tie. Carrie is okay to fly.
- 9:06Speaker 2: You're trying to You're getting there.
- 9:08Speaker 3: Good.
- 9:08Speaker 2: Look workshop that a little bit more
