- 0:04Speaker 1: All right, all right, come and go, you're alive from Philly.
- 0:09Speaker 1: It's the Polly and Tony Foolsco Showy as always Polly Foolsco.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Here with Tony Volsco and Tony Yo. Absolutely huge show today.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Eagles to and O after a perfect start, and we're
- 0:26Speaker 1: gonna tell you why it's the best do and O
- 0:29Speaker 1: start in NFL history. Also, yeah, controversy surrounding the proud
- 0:35Speaker 1: institution of Monday Night Football and don't worry people, we
- 0:39Speaker 1: are going to defend it. And also, Tony, shameful behavior
- 0:45Speaker 1: by our fellow colleagues in the sports talk industry that
- 0:49Speaker 1: we are going to call out, aren't we. Yeah, we
- 0:53Speaker 1: take the high road on this show, unlike those shameless hacks. Yeah.
- 0:58Speaker 1: But first message from our good friends at Dollar Shave Club.
- 1:03Speaker 1: How much do you spend on shaving equipment? Is it
- 1:06Speaker 1: more than a dollar? Than? You're an idiot, right, Tony. Yeah?
- 1:10Speaker 1: And as they say, with dollars Shape Club, you get
- 1:14Speaker 1: savings and shavings. There you go Dollar Shaved Club for
- 1:20Speaker 1: all your shaving needs. All right, Tony, Well, it's time
- 1:23Speaker 1: for one of the most popular segments. You know, we
- 1:26Speaker 1: get everything right on this show, and we are never wrong.
- 1:29Speaker 1: So we're gonna go through all the things we hit
- 1:31Speaker 1: right on the head in our most popular segment, where
- 1:35Speaker 1: Polly and Tony were right. Where Polly and Tony were right.
- 1:42Speaker 1: We predicted it months ago that the Eagles would be
- 1:45Speaker 1: the best theme in all of football. And not only
- 1:48Speaker 1: are they to and know, but look at the quality
- 1:51Speaker 1: of the opponents. They've beaten two storied franchises, the Minnesota
- 1:56Speaker 1: Vikings and the Detroit Lions. And when you look it
- 2:00Speaker 1: like that, it is so impressive, right, Tony, Yeah, Between
- 2:04Speaker 1: those two franchises, they've won five total championship. That's a
- 2:09Speaker 1: lot of championship winning. And not only that, they've want
- 2:13Speaker 1: to combine twenty four division title and the legendary NFC
- 2:18Speaker 1: nor and yet the Eagles smoked them both. Now people
- 2:23Speaker 1: may say, oh, well those championships have been you know,
- 2:26Speaker 1: decades ago. That is so disrespectful to the proud history
- 2:31Speaker 1: of these franchises and the National Football League. In fact,
- 2:35Speaker 1: it's a shame how people in this country want to
- 2:38Speaker 1: ignore history. Yeah, as they say, history repeats itself. So
- 2:44Speaker 1: you have to believe that both the Vikings and the
- 2:47Speaker 1: Lions are due to win five total championships again very
- 2:52Speaker 1: soon in the future, and even right now as you
- 2:55Speaker 1: look at their rosters, both of them have Super Bowl
- 2:58Speaker 1: pedigrees of us. I'm talking about the Lions super Bowl
- 3:03Speaker 1: quarterback Jared Goff. Yep, he's a Super Bowl quarterback and
- 3:08Speaker 1: he would have won that Super Bowl if his team
- 3:10Speaker 1: didn't suck. Yep. And then you look at the Vikings
- 3:13Speaker 1: head coach Kevin O'Connell. You know, Sean McVeigh was a
- 3:17Speaker 1: total failure in Los Angeles before O'Connell became the o
- 3:21Speaker 1: c and helped them win the Super Bowl. Absolutely, See,
- 3:25Speaker 1: when you're looking at it that way, the Eagles might
- 3:27Speaker 1: as well be eight though at this point done undisputable
- 3:32Speaker 1: where and were right? Another thing we got banged on
- 3:37Speaker 1: the head for years. We've been telling the NFL to
- 3:40Speaker 1: schedule not one, but two Monday night football games at
- 3:44Speaker 1: the same time. And they finally did it, and there
- 3:47Speaker 1: was a raging success while the Titans and Bills and
- 3:50Speaker 1: the Vikings and Eagles play at the same time. But
- 3:53Speaker 1: there are some fools out there who said, oh, it's
- 3:56Speaker 1: too many games at once. What we thought it wasn't
- 3:59Speaker 1: enough talking about not right clearly on Sunday people have
- 4:04Speaker 1: no problem with eight games being played at the same time,
- 4:08Speaker 1: Well why not do that on Monday. Monday Night Football
- 4:11Speaker 1: is already the highest rated show on TV every week.
- 4:15Speaker 1: Can you imagine how much better Monday Night Football would
- 4:18Speaker 1: be if they were eight games going at the same time.
- 4:22Speaker 1: One can only wish. And these people, you know, criticizing
- 4:26Speaker 1: the whole thing, they don't get other business works, right,
- 4:29Speaker 1: I mean, we see this strategy in other industries, don't
- 4:32Speaker 1: We don't of course, just look at the movie industry.
- 4:36Speaker 1: When you go to the theater, do they have just
- 4:39Speaker 1: one movie playing? No? Imagine you went to the theater
- 4:43Speaker 1: and the only movie playing was, I don't know, Bridget
- 4:46Speaker 1: Jones Diary or Bridget Jones Edge of Tomorrow or whatever.
- 4:51Speaker 1: You leave the theater. That's why they have eight or
- 4:54Speaker 1: ten movies playing at one time. Such a terrific analy
- 5:00Speaker 1: g and such a great way to drive home your point, Tony.
- 5:03Speaker 1: And you know, we know Roger Goodell, NFL Commissioner, listens
- 5:06Speaker 1: to this show. So don't be surprised if you know,
- 5:09Speaker 1: even this season, you'll see changes coming to Monday Night Football.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Absolutely where and were right, all right? Another thing that
- 5:18Speaker 1: we've been right on, even though we have not discussed
- 5:21Speaker 1: it on the show. Our sources have been telling us
- 5:24Speaker 1: for a long time now that there is marital trouble
- 5:27Speaker 1: between Tom Brady and his wife, Giselle Bunskin. But out
- 5:32Speaker 1: of decency, Tony and I decided that we would not be,
- 5:36Speaker 1: you know, delving into personal matters out of respect for
- 5:40Speaker 1: Tom Brady, even though he happens to be a cheating
- 5:43Speaker 1: low life and in embarrassing has been. But unfortunately we
- 5:47Speaker 1: can't say that about our fellow colleagues in the industry
- 5:51Speaker 1: who have decided to blab about this for weeks now.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Isn't that right, Tony? It's deplorable, As they say, those
- 5:59Speaker 1: who live in glass houses shouldn't be talking about people
- 6:03Speaker 1: and other glass houses. Well said, and that you know
- 6:07Speaker 1: the reason we're letting you behind the curtain here, you know,
- 6:10Speaker 1: our millions of viewers and listeners out there, it's because
- 6:13Speaker 1: we want you to know that we are absolutely not
- 6:16Speaker 1: going to touch this low hanging fruit just for cheap clicks, right.
- 6:21Speaker 1: You know, if you want to hear someone say, you know,
- 6:24Speaker 1: Gizell moved out of the house because her inattentive husband
- 6:27Speaker 1: can no longer satisfy her needs as a woman and
- 6:30Speaker 1: a wife. You know we are not going to talk
- 6:33Speaker 1: about that, right, don't. Nope. If you want to hear
- 6:36Speaker 1: someone say something like Tom Brady is a serial narcissist
- 6:41Speaker 1: who continues to ignore his own family to focus on
- 6:44Speaker 1: his dying NFL career that should have ended years ago.
- 6:48Speaker 1: Take your business elsewhere. This isn't the show for you. Yeah,
- 6:52Speaker 1: if you want to hear someone say, you know, Tom
- 6:55Speaker 1: Brady and Adam Levine are both examples of terrible husbands
- 6:59Speaker 1: who should be a shame to themselves and don't recognize
- 7:02Speaker 1: the value of the woman that they have committed their
- 7:04Speaker 1: lives to. Please go turn the channel at the watch
- 7:10Speaker 1: somebody else. Al Right, Well, that wraps where Polly and
- 7:14Speaker 1: Tony were right and uh well, now, as we head
- 7:18Speaker 1: into Week three of the NFL season, it's time for
- 7:21Speaker 1: us to give you are one h percent lock predictions
- 7:26Speaker 1: on h percent lock predictions. My one hundred percent lock prediction.
- 7:33Speaker 1: Lions at Vikings right now, the odds unfandled. Surprisingly they
- 7:37Speaker 1: have the over under set at fifty three and a half,
- 7:41Speaker 1: which is clearly low. I mean I see each team
- 7:44Speaker 1: scoring at least that much. I mean, on one side,
- 7:46Speaker 1: you have the Super Bowl firepower of Jared Garth. On
- 7:49Speaker 1: the other side, you have the historic legacy of the
- 7:53Speaker 1: fourth time Super Bowl appear in Minnesota, Vikings. I see
- 7:56Speaker 1: the final score here Lions seventy toll, Vikings sixty seven. Tony,
- 8:02Speaker 1: my lock pick is the Eagles over the Commanders. The
- 8:08Speaker 1: Eagles are favored by six and a half, but by
- 8:10Speaker 1: my calculations, the actual spread should be forty two and
- 8:14Speaker 1: a half. My sources tell me that Corson Wentz regrets
- 8:18Speaker 1: leaving Philly so much that he's planning to only target
- 8:22Speaker 1: Eagles defenders in the hopes that they bring him back
- 8:25Speaker 1: his quarterback. So I'm going Eagles seventy two, Commanders zero.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Terrific pick, Tony, And what a way to wrap the show.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Before we go, we want to thank our good friends
- 8:38Speaker 1: as we shouldn't have hired you. What you seem to
- 8:47Speaker 1: keep implying that Jared Goff played well in the Super Bowl.
- 8:51Speaker 1: Yeah no, you gotta passer rating a fifty eight. The
- 8:54Speaker 1: Rams didn't even score a touchdown. Oh yeah, well, I'm
- 9:00Speaker 1: sure you've never scored in your entire life. Yeah, no
- 9:05Speaker 1: one's ever touched down on your yeah, good enough out
- 9:09Speaker 1: of you. There, What are you said? Monday Night Football
- 9:15Speaker 1: is the highest rated program on TV every week? Yeah, yeah, terrific.
- 9:20Speaker 1: It's Sunday Night Football. It gets much higher ratings. Oh yeah,
- 9:24Speaker 1: well you're the lowest rated person on the entire planet
- 9:29Speaker 1: every week. Yeah, you're lucky you're not a TV show
- 9:34Speaker 1: because you would get canceled instantly week one. Exactly. There
- 9:38Speaker 1: you go. By the way, the Bridget Jones movie was
- 9:43Speaker 1: Edge of Reason, not Edge of Tomorrow. That's a tom
- 9:47Speaker 1: Cruise movie. Oh yeah, well right now you're on the
- 9:53Speaker 1: edge of unemployment. Yeah, you remind me of Bridget Jones,
- 9:58Speaker 1: sad and say goal Now that's yea. That was great.
- 10:03Speaker 1: That was a great way to sulk. He looks like
- 10:08Speaker 1: Bridget Jones right there. Yeah he does. I don't. I
- 10:11Speaker 1: didn't get the Bridget Jones reference, but I'm sure it
- 10:14Speaker 1: made a ton of sense. Yeah exactly, I'm sure I
- 10:17Speaker 1: heard about it. Even Bridget Jones wouldn't date look at him.
- 10:21Speaker 1: Even Bridget Jones, the sad, desperate woman wants nothing to
- 10:26Speaker 1: do with him, all right, But you know who does
- 10:28Speaker 1: want something to do with us? Tony good Nos in
- 10:32Speaker 1: for next week booked super Bowl legend Eagles hero Nick
- 10:37Speaker 1: falls fall into that. Now go ahead, remember to follow
- 10:42Speaker 1: us on all our platforms. You're probably doing it already,
- 10:44Speaker 1: but ticktock you Dove, Instagram and Tony. Great job as always,
- 10:51Speaker 1: same to you, Holy another foolish We'll see your faithal
- 10:56Speaker 1: next week. See you
