Deputies in Jones County pulled over a car on Eatonton Highway that turned into a major bust—four people, a stash of marijuana, and two guns. Two were wanted for serious crimes: one a murder suspect from Camilla, the other linked to a shooting in Athens. All four face charges for possession and firearm-related offenses, now locked up at the county jail. Sheriff’s office praised the team’s coordination and swift action, calling it a textbook example of how good communication can turn a high-risk stop into a public safety win.
