- 0:20Speaker 1: That's what you have. But we're gonna get rolling with this.
- 0:22Speaker 1: What's going on? Everybody. I am the one, the only,
- 0:24Speaker 1: the w oh okay I e shure, I am here
- 0:28Speaker 1: by most of the misfits. We got the pH d
- 0:31Speaker 1: of key Forge doctor Sheep Yep, still a misfit. We
- 0:36Speaker 1: would have e walk, but he can't seem to figure
- 0:38Speaker 1: his way out of the corner. He'll he'll be in
- 0:42Speaker 1: We're assuming shortly in draft courts on special assignment this week,
- 0:49Speaker 1: Super super special assignment. We got two guests this week.
- 0:55Speaker 1: We've got mister helm Key who joined us for our
- 0:58Speaker 1: key Forge Adventure.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Sure welcome low Keith Orge community.
- 1:03Speaker 1: He's not a key Forge player, but he was on
- 1:05Speaker 1: the keyboardge adventure uh and a fan favorite local car
- 1:11Speaker 1: high local car.
- 1:13Speaker 3: Oh lou.
- 1:14Speaker 1: So we are going to go over our fabulous trip
- 1:18Speaker 1: there and back again to gen Con. There were there
- 1:24Speaker 1: was there was laughs, there was tears, there's anger. A
- 1:28Speaker 1: table flipped at one point. I might have made that
- 1:32Speaker 1: last one up, but for whatever reason, vaulta he walk
- 1:40Speaker 1: has vaulta sault on here for some reason. Anybody know
- 1:43Speaker 1: why he played volk assault Okay, he walked played once
- 1:49Speaker 1: at gen Con.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Yeah, and we played once at the store.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Yeah, and I was volta Sault.
- 1:56Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:57Speaker 4: He said he had a better time at the thing
- 1:59Speaker 4: if it would come over here with all these things.
- 2:02Speaker 3: M M.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Somebody want to ping him? Oh, you know what I
- 2:09Speaker 1: can do? I don't even know why I would ping him?
- 2:13Speaker 1: Why don't I Just where do you go?
- 2:14Speaker 2: There?
- 2:14Speaker 1: He is? Hello? Hello, So we've already started. But you
- 2:21Speaker 1: played one Vault Assault at gen Con. I didn't you
- 2:26Speaker 1: have this right right front center at the very top
- 2:29Speaker 1: of the notes? Yeah? Why did you enjoy yourself? How
- 2:35Speaker 1: was a vault of Sault?
- 2:38Speaker 2: So on Sunday, I had the pleasure of being able
- 2:42Speaker 2: to qualify for top eight for an event we'll talk
- 2:44Speaker 2: about later, but that had already actually finished, and as
- 2:48Speaker 2: I had two lovely members from our traveling team who
- 2:54Speaker 2: we're playing on Sunday, I was looking for something to
- 2:57Speaker 2: do and I partially thought about going had in wandering
- 3:01Speaker 2: our hall and I saw that there was a group
- 3:05Speaker 2: that was playing fulth Assault. So I had a two
- 3:08Speaker 2: dollars generic ticket and I decided, you know what, let's
- 3:12Speaker 2: try this out. We tried it out at our locals
- 3:14Speaker 2: on Tuesday, and I figured it was a great time
- 3:18Speaker 2: to be able to go ahead and play. We ended
- 3:20Speaker 2: up playing a five player game, and the background that
- 3:23Speaker 2: I had actually from Tuesday helped to run that a
- 3:25Speaker 2: little bit smoother, but it was It was a lot
- 3:28Speaker 2: of fun. So shout out to my other four friends
- 3:32Speaker 2: who were there, so Eric Waters, Pat Mhala and Jason.
- 3:38Speaker 2: So if you are not familiar, Eric is definitely in
- 3:46Speaker 2: our discord.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Is someone who he's in the audience right now.
- 3:51Speaker 2: Get that shout out to him. Man and I gave
- 3:53Speaker 2: a shout out because he actually I came Sunday with
- 3:57Speaker 2: no KeyForge, no tokens, nothing, and the only reason I
- 4:02Speaker 2: was able to play this faldasault is because he had
- 4:04Speaker 2: an extra deck. He actually had his arc on deck
- 4:06Speaker 2: from the day before and so that's what I got
- 4:09Speaker 2: to go ahead and throw out right away. So it
- 4:13Speaker 2: was fun. It was a wonderful experience. I can also
- 4:18Speaker 2: give a shout out to Jason was very very famous.
- 4:23Speaker 2: You should see Jason Wallace from the War the warcaf
- 4:27Speaker 2: So go check out Tobin and Jason. But it was
- 4:30Speaker 2: great to be able to play with those two. And
- 4:32Speaker 2: for both Mahala and Pats, they seem to have some
- 4:35Speaker 2: key forge experience, but it had been a while before,
- 4:37Speaker 2: like it had been a while since they had last played,
- 4:40Speaker 2: so to see some people coming back and enjoying it,
- 4:42Speaker 2: we had a blast. It was much more enjoyable the
- 4:46Speaker 2: second time around than it was the first time. So
- 4:50Speaker 2: first time we had a lot of amber control. There
- 4:53Speaker 2: were three rant and rives in the Woe deck alone.
- 4:58Speaker 2: This we actually sped it out up in a couple
- 5:00Speaker 2: different ways. There was a finanate rupture that was played,
- 5:06Speaker 2: and so that definitely sped things up, and it actually
- 5:10Speaker 2: ended up that three people had individual key sheets to
- 5:13Speaker 2: be able to finish on that last turn. So it
- 5:14Speaker 2: just came down a turn order of who's going to finish,
- 5:17Speaker 2: which made it a rather interesting and fun game. I
- 5:21Speaker 2: will still argue that some of the individual cards are
- 5:28Speaker 2: some of the individual boons, I should say, because those
- 5:30Speaker 2: are what you're kind of picking up and playing, they
- 5:32Speaker 2: are more powerful than others. I had a little bit
- 5:38Speaker 2: of fun. I jumped out to an early lead just
- 5:40Speaker 2: because I had a massive arc on deck turn one
- 5:45Speaker 2: as I was going first head double Recklessness and the
- 5:48Speaker 2: sixth the sixth place boon was actually gone, so I
- 5:53Speaker 2: ended up with the five, which allowed me to draw
- 5:55Speaker 2: on extra three cards. So recklessness not as great there.
- 6:00Speaker 2: But it was a pretty brutal start, and I already
- 6:03Speaker 2: had six amber for that first key, so much much
- 6:05Speaker 2: faster start. But it was overall a great time.
- 6:10Speaker 1: All right for the most of you who know gen
- 6:13Speaker 1: Con starts on a Thursday, not on a Sunday. Weird story.
- 6:17Speaker 1: But we went down on Wednesday to get all set up.
- 6:22Speaker 1: We had stayed well, you guys were in the camper.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I stayed in my own tent and my personal luxury tent.
- 6:29Speaker 2: We appreciate that you helped us out in that manner.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I could still hear you snoring all the way through
- 6:36Speaker 2: the camper into your tent over the fan, Loca car.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I believe you had the the best statement here and
- 6:46Speaker 2: that one morning after getting up. How far away could
- 6:50Speaker 2: you hear Wookie as we were walking back from the
- 6:52Speaker 2: bathroom and facilities there.
- 6:55Speaker 3: Oh, I was probably a good twenty thirty feet away,
- 6:58Speaker 3: and I could hear him snoring.
- 6:59Speaker 2: Yep, crystal clear, So we appreciate you listening.
- 7:03Speaker 1: Crystal clear, this is all incorrect, sheep. Did you hear me?
- 7:10Speaker 2: No?
- 7:10Speaker 4: But I could feel the ground shake.
- 7:14Speaker 1: Steve could you hear me.
- 7:23Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I don't know.
- 7:25Speaker 5: I was too busy spooning with Sheep.
- 7:29Speaker 2: So so this is really why Sheep and Steve here,
- 7:34Speaker 2: mister Steve could not hear this snoring that there was
- 7:36Speaker 2: other activities that are being had much fatization, But Loca
- 7:41Speaker 2: Car and I were just trying to be able to
- 7:43Speaker 2: stay alive and try and get some sleep. So you know,
- 7:46Speaker 2: luckily we just fell asleep before you and hopefully he
- 7:50Speaker 2: didn't wake up.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Well. The perfect thing is when Wookie's alarm goes off
- 7:56Speaker 3: and he keeps snoring over top of it because he
- 7:58Speaker 3: can't hear it because of his own snoring. So you know,
- 8:00Speaker 3: that's the joy of the morning.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Dude, your alarm sounded like a video game. I thought
- 8:07Speaker 2: lok Car the first day was playing a video game,
- 8:09Speaker 2: like with the music on full blast, and it was
- 8:13Speaker 2: like this panic attack mode that was on some different
- 8:18Speaker 2: survival video games that I play, and it was just like, yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 2: it was the most wretched noise I've ever heard. And
- 8:27Speaker 2: I have no idea how you did not wake up
- 8:30Speaker 2: with that.
- 8:31Speaker 1: I normally do wake up to that. However, I was tired.
- 8:34Speaker 1: You guys kept me out. We passed my bedtime.
- 8:37Speaker 4: They did warn us of feral cats, but none of
- 8:41Speaker 4: them would come anywhere near us.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Nope, nope, no raccoons.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Cat You're welcome. That was Wednesday. We went and got
- 8:52Speaker 1: our badges, had all the fun stuff. But Thursday is
- 8:55Speaker 1: where the fun begins. Thursday was sealed. You walked. Tell
- 8:58Speaker 1: us a little bit about sealed.
- 9:02Speaker 2: Sealed happened all right, moving, fantastic, So it was glorious.
- 9:10Speaker 2: We all got deck. We showed up nice and early.
- 9:13Speaker 2: It was a good time in that manner. I know
- 9:17Speaker 2: that Josh has asked for some feedback about basically how
- 9:24Speaker 2: the different events were run at gen Con, So anyone
- 9:26Speaker 2: who is in the audience who was part of Genkin
- 9:29Speaker 2: experience please provide some feedback as to time for arrival
- 9:34Speaker 2: and set up. I think it could definitely be sped
- 9:37Speaker 2: up a bit getting to keyboards earlier. But hey, man,
- 9:40Speaker 2: there is good.
- 9:42Speaker 3: There's one piece in the same place as us at
- 9:45Speaker 3: seven hundred and fifty players, and they got them registered
- 9:48Speaker 3: in about half.
- 9:49Speaker 2: An hour yep, thirty minutes.
- 9:51Speaker 3: So I'm not sure why we need a full hour
- 9:54Speaker 3: for keithbirdge for registration for significantly less people.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Because nine o'clock means roll at nine, nine twenty five.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Because here's the problem, like some five do.
- 10:06Speaker 3: We think that's conditioned behavior though, because you say the
- 10:09Speaker 3: registration being so long and they'd be so generous.
- 10:12Speaker 1: Condition absolutely, I mean the problem is that, like I
- 10:17Speaker 1: definitely agree with all of you, Like, if it's supposed
- 10:19Speaker 1: to be nine, it's nine. If you're after nine, well
- 10:23Speaker 1: I'm sorry you've missed the cutoff and no longer allowed
- 10:26Speaker 1: to come in. I mean, there's definitely some late entrance
- 10:29Speaker 1: to the party, there's no doubt about that. But uh yeah,
- 10:32Speaker 1: I mean you're gonna have to hurt some feelings for
- 10:34Speaker 1: people to understand, like nine o'clock does not mean nine
- 10:37Speaker 1: to twenty.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Well, I mean the short answer is it we need
- 10:42Speaker 2: to be able to just speed up. If we can
- 10:44Speaker 2: get through, if one piece can get through seven hundred people, Hey,
- 10:47Speaker 2: you're in your app, you're in your spot. There is
- 10:51Speaker 2: no reason that we can't do it in a half
- 10:52Speaker 2: an hour. You get your decks. Then the next half
- 10:54Speaker 2: hour you're making your deck and then we are ready
- 10:57Speaker 2: to go. And that should be twenty minutes ten minutes
- 10:59Speaker 2: ago ahead and pay while they have us ready that
- 11:02Speaker 2: we should be ready to fire at ten o'clock for sealed,
- 11:04Speaker 2: and we should be ready to fire at nine thirty.
- 11:07Speaker 2: It's just something that we.
- 11:08Speaker 3: Can so late. I mean, I don't know, maybe I'm
- 11:12Speaker 3: too used the old ball to our days, but I
- 11:13Speaker 3: feel like starting at ten it's like wasted most of
- 11:16Speaker 3: the morning. I'd rather start at nine. Do I registration by
- 11:19Speaker 3: nine and get going, get going open decks or go
- 11:22Speaker 3: going with the first round pairings.
- 11:25Speaker 1: I would uh, I would agree, Like I think getting
- 11:29Speaker 1: there by nine, like that's that's plenty of time. We
- 11:31Speaker 1: were there by like what eight thirty most days?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Yep. We consistently hit about eight point fifteen eight oh eight.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I know you guys were always harassing me. Oh, we
- 11:42Speaker 2: need to keep we need to get going. We need
- 11:44Speaker 2: to get going. Man, We're sitting there for over an
- 11:47Speaker 2: hour waiting, and then it's another hour after we hit
- 11:50Speaker 2: nine o'clock, and then it's another half hour after that
- 11:52Speaker 2: before we play. We were definitely there early.
- 11:55Speaker 5: It was fine, Fine, we need time to find the
- 11:57Speaker 5: poop easy?
- 11:59Speaker 2: Hey, we well, we we definitely had plenty of time
- 12:02Speaker 2: for that.
- 12:02Speaker 4: The question for the poop easy was was important. There
- 12:05Speaker 4: was plenty of time to visit the bath.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Who much?
- 12:13Speaker 2: Maybe all right, So so we get we get our decks. Boys,
- 12:18Speaker 2: how did your decks look? You got three decks? We
- 12:20Speaker 2: can go ahead and alliance them if you want.
- 12:23Speaker 1: I threw mine in the poop easy because they were bad.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I had. Let's see, I had a okay Mars pod.
- 12:36Speaker 1: I don't care what Sunday says my Unfortunately, me and
- 12:41Speaker 1: Sunday had to play and the deck went off. It
- 12:44Speaker 1: did not perform like that for any of the other games.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I had a very okay Mars pod, a subpar Geistoid pod,
- 12:54Speaker 1: and the rest of my pods I could have played
- 12:57Speaker 1: Shredder with and no one would have batted an eye
- 12:59Speaker 1: at me.
- 13:01Speaker 2: Nice local car.
- 13:04Speaker 4: How did your decks look?
- 13:07Speaker 3: I had a deck and I had a bunch of trash,
- 13:09Speaker 3: So that was kind of how that went, I mean
- 13:13Speaker 3: afterwards looking at it. Yeah, the deck I played as
- 13:16Speaker 3: a straight ARCon deck was in the nineties for SaaS,
- 13:19Speaker 3: and it's the sort of deck that you know in
- 13:22Speaker 3: a field and any other set, I would probably have
- 13:25Speaker 3: a really good chance of going top four, if at
- 13:27Speaker 3: definitely top eight. But you know in this meta where
- 13:31Speaker 3: you can if you don't have the burst e Mars
- 13:33Speaker 3: and you don't have the key abduction and the extra
- 13:36Speaker 3: charge and the winds of death. Good luck getting anywhere
- 13:41Speaker 3: much so fun deck. I had a lot of fun
- 13:43Speaker 3: playing it and playing ARCon and people ever being surprised.
- 13:47Speaker 3: But definitely the best three pods were just already in
- 13:49Speaker 3: the deck, and if it was pick one play it,
- 13:51Speaker 3: it probably would have done quite a bit better.
- 13:53Speaker 2: But into you weren't the only person who actually asked
- 13:57Speaker 2: for that format to be able to return pick one
- 14:00Speaker 2: out of the three and play it. That's very interesting,
- 14:03Speaker 2: it was said my three decks, sheep, I'm gonna skip
- 14:06Speaker 2: over you for a bit, because you actually had a tournament.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Boys and girls, I went oh two and and to
- 14:16Speaker 2: make things worse, I skin in all three decks and
- 14:19Speaker 2: none of them were horrendous. I've actually seen a lot
- 14:23Speaker 2: worse with our gr they did not really work well together.
- 14:28Speaker 2: So the first deck I can go ahead and show
- 14:30Speaker 2: for anyone at home following along is Pharaoh Ebanelf Boys Levesque,
- 14:35Speaker 2: and to be honest, this is the highlights. I ended
- 14:38Speaker 2: up with Geistoid in all three and none of them
- 14:40Speaker 2: were great Geistoid. The two other geistoids from other two
- 14:45Speaker 2: decks are Hoke, til Barbaric hold Fast Advisor and l
- 14:51Speaker 2: Revie the Crassley Tired the Geistoid in the second and
- 14:57Speaker 2: third decks frankly, well, the highlight is persaphone and shadies.
- 15:03Speaker 2: It did have double winds of Death and Acto, but
- 15:06Speaker 2: it's just not it's not doing what you want with geist.
- 15:09Speaker 2: Theoids the Levere Crassley Tired had in Here Somewhere be
- 15:15Speaker 2: our geist awesome and then it was spontaneous awakening animating
- 15:20Speaker 2: for singing scythe and I was pretty sad. I did
- 15:24Speaker 2: go ahead and take a line with the Geistoid from Pharaoh,
- 15:29Speaker 2: and in my opinion, this was still the best. This
- 15:32Speaker 2: jumped out as the pod that I wanted to have
- 15:33Speaker 2: right away. It had boo ecto energy, vampirism in here Somewhere,
- 15:37Speaker 2: winds of death, and double cursed tomb. So yes, I
- 15:40Speaker 2: was playing a double cursed tomb and that is what
- 15:43Speaker 2: basically kept me alive. And I brought it in to
- 15:46Speaker 2: try and counter the Mars. If you're going to go
- 15:49Speaker 2: ahead and be playing your Mars shenanigans, you have to
- 15:52Speaker 2: really think about it. With those creatures going away as
- 15:55Speaker 2: they die. That was the thought process. I did have
- 15:59Speaker 2: plenty of capture their double Dark Lamp Harvest Skimmer Ma
- 16:02Speaker 2: mattson lb Astray. So it actually did provide some interesting
- 16:07Speaker 2: choices for me. The next choice as my second house.
- 16:11Speaker 2: I had two Brobnar pods and I wanted this deck
- 16:18Speaker 2: Hoketils hold Fast Advisor. I really wanted to play the
- 16:22Speaker 2: Brobnar and I could not convince myself to play it
- 16:25Speaker 2: had double Might makes Right. Boys, double might makes right.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Tell them your creatures, tell them it was.
- 16:34Speaker 2: I couldn't play it, and here is why. It had
- 16:36Speaker 2: double soul bomb too. But the creatures here for the
- 16:39Speaker 2: Might makes Right included earth Shaker, double Fiery Jark.
- 16:48Speaker 1: I think you had a lifting buddy too.
- 16:50Speaker 3: No no, no, no, no no.
- 16:53Speaker 2: That was it. So the Fiery Jarks are not going
- 16:55Speaker 2: to stick around, and the earth Shaker will clear the
- 16:59Speaker 2: board for the little But I can't pull my max
- 17:01Speaker 2: right with that. And I mean Sound the Horns is
- 17:04Speaker 2: great for getting to those three, but it just you
- 17:09Speaker 2: can't do anything with it.
- 17:10Speaker 3: You're easily be haunted every time you play Sound the Horns.
- 17:14Speaker 2: Yes, yay, your good value. Yeah. So I went with
- 17:23Speaker 2: a Robnard that actually could do something. It was it
- 17:27Speaker 2: was okay, burn the stockpile, Craftiness, riot lash out memorials
- 17:30Speaker 2: have fallen, Double Recklessness, and then actually the Creature's Countryside Crusher,
- 17:36Speaker 2: crim Tooth torch Uh Torchtooth and orn Rner's Skullface, Returning Giants,
- 17:41Speaker 2: Riggety cyber Giant and shock Herder. I could potentially put
- 17:44Speaker 2: out a brobnar board and then do something with it
- 17:47Speaker 2: that did not happen in either game, and I had
- 17:51Speaker 2: pretty much Mars Shenanigans go off once. That's really what
- 17:56Speaker 2: was going off.
- 17:57Speaker 1: And then highlight was when you lost the Cardboard Sheep
- 18:02Speaker 1: in Second Umber.
- 18:04Speaker 2: Uh against Cardboard Sheep. I did play each of these
- 18:07Speaker 2: decks as arkon because I figured that way they each
- 18:10Speaker 2: get played versus the trash bin where they need to go.
- 18:15Speaker 2: But yes, Cardboard Sheep definitely beat me, and he beat
- 18:18Speaker 2: me pretty handily on that too, So I even chose
- 18:20Speaker 2: poorly in the one deck. I mean, I just threw
- 18:23Speaker 2: them out, but yeah, Cardboard Sheep beat me as well.
- 18:26Speaker 2: It was a real rough day on that Thursday. I
- 18:29Speaker 2: could not pull a win to save my life because
- 18:31Speaker 2: I also played Second Amber, but I made a choice
- 18:33Speaker 2: to wait out around because there were three of us
- 18:37Speaker 2: and there was no need to take a bye. And
- 18:40Speaker 2: then I played the next round and I lost as well.
- 18:43Speaker 2: So some days you have it, some days you don't.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Thursday was not my day, I.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Think, And I played a game when I otk'd you.
- 18:53Speaker 2: Ah. Yeah, actually that was the best draw that I had,
- 18:57Speaker 2: And that whole day I was up two keys and
- 19:00Speaker 2: like four amber pushing for key three. You had zero keys,
- 19:04Speaker 2: and then you're you're like boom, otk with my with
- 19:10Speaker 2: my sealed the Lion's deck, and I'm like, yep, this
- 19:13Speaker 2: is why I'm O two and I'm out because I
- 19:15Speaker 2: got nothing. What I could really do actually with my
- 19:18Speaker 2: deck is I could take your amber and then I
- 19:20Speaker 2: could go ahead and let it go away. But that
- 19:24Speaker 2: doesn't work when you face Mars and their rule of
- 19:28Speaker 2: sixeing you and pushing pretty hard, and that's pretty much
- 19:31Speaker 2: what I face. So uh shout out to fire spray Man.
- 19:35Speaker 2: You had my my name all weekend long, but I
- 19:40Speaker 2: lost at time. Yeah, yeah, I was waiting for that one.
- 19:47Speaker 2: It was two keys to two keys, and I lost
- 19:52Speaker 2: two amber versus one amber. I made one key literally early.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I think it was like turn three. Yeah, No, we
- 19:58Speaker 2: didn't get to three keys. It went to time and
- 19:59Speaker 2: I know on Amber, but I didn't make the second.
- 20:05Speaker 1: Keys and you lost to number to one number.
- 20:07Speaker 2: No, it was two keys. The two keys. I actually
- 20:10Speaker 2: my first key I forged pretty early. I want to
- 20:13Speaker 2: say it was turned three, but the rest of the
- 20:16Speaker 2: game I could not gain Amber. Once he got his
- 20:20Speaker 2: Mars going and once he actually got his Amber control going.
- 20:25Speaker 2: We both did have Memorial as the Fallen, which zapped
- 20:30Speaker 2: a whole bunch of Amber two, so that was really
- 20:34Speaker 2: really sad. And then game number two, I played Mescato,
- 20:37Speaker 2: which is Lyle from Krit from Camp Crit so shout
- 20:41Speaker 2: outs because Lyle's been on their cast before.
- 20:43Speaker 1: You had it right the first time, All right, I did.
- 20:46Speaker 2: It did look right, and I don't know when I
- 20:48Speaker 2: messed up, but it is crit Camp. But Lyle was awesome.
- 20:55Speaker 1: This game.
- 20:57Speaker 2: I'll technically lost that time again two keys to one.
- 21:04Speaker 2: Two of the keys forged out of my three keys
- 21:07Speaker 2: that day. That's right, I forged three total keys that
- 21:13Speaker 2: they were ecto charge. So I just yeah, it was bad.
- 21:18Speaker 2: It was real bad.
- 21:19Speaker 1: Been that bad boy purges itself.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Well, so yes, unless you have older geistoids, but if
- 21:27Speaker 2: you actually look at the individual sass on these decks.
- 21:30Speaker 2: They're not rated poorly. Boys like this is an eighty
- 21:32Speaker 2: three and eighty three and in eighty two, so you
- 21:35Speaker 2: look at it and you're like, you should do something,
- 21:37Speaker 2: but none of these have any out correct And that
- 21:43Speaker 2: was really what it equated to, is that, eh, I
- 21:48Speaker 2: think the one Geistoid is a thirty one, and that's
- 21:51Speaker 2: what I used. It was okay, it was a great
- 21:53Speaker 2: line with Curse Tomb, but I did like to see
- 21:58Speaker 2: when I brought out the second Curse tumter. Some people
- 22:00Speaker 2: like played no creatures to purge, So if you're not familiar,
- 22:04Speaker 2: Curse Tomb enhanced each creature with no amber onic games
- 22:08Speaker 2: destroyed purge this creature. So that's why I'm trying to
- 22:11Speaker 2: purge out creatures. I just didn't have enough amber pips.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I played as many as I could, but that wasn't there.
- 22:16Speaker 2: But it says if there are no creatures in play,
- 22:18Speaker 2: purge Curse Tomb. So I know again Stlyle like he
- 22:22Speaker 2: perched the first one, he was all happy, and then
- 22:25Speaker 2: I brought out the second one, ruining people's days. But
- 22:28Speaker 2: that was my experience.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Cheap.
- 22:30Speaker 2: How'd you do, my friend?
- 22:32Speaker 4: Well, I didn't suck like you guys.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Oh I saw it. I saw hardcore man, that is
- 22:37Speaker 1: for sure. You did not you. You hit a top eight.
- 22:40Speaker 3: Easy to do when you got a good Mars pod. Well,
- 22:43Speaker 3: a decent Mars pod.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I did get I had a good Mars pod.
- 22:47Speaker 4: It was double Proliferator, a rebel, a doctor X one abductomatic,
- 22:55Speaker 4: three brain darts, two plague winds, and then whale PM plants,
- 23:02Speaker 4: which I think got used once in all the games
- 23:04Speaker 4: I ever played, so that that worked out pretty well.
- 23:10Speaker 4: And then I had geistoids that it had one in
- 23:12Speaker 4: Here Somewhere and one Wins of Death and double lb
- 23:15Speaker 4: Astra and one grim Reaper. That's enough to play that pod.
- 23:21Speaker 4: But then it also had the demo Eldergeist, which is
- 23:24Speaker 4: that guy that lets you if you're haunted your creatures
- 23:27Speaker 4: with amber when they're dead. You also gained that amber.
- 23:31Speaker 4: So that led me into my third pod, which actually
- 23:33Speaker 4: ended up being stronger than I expected, being unfathomable disappointment
- 23:38Speaker 4: that it was. It gave me double stir crazy, double
- 23:46Speaker 4: wrath or ruin, and a single drag net, and I
- 23:50Speaker 4: used all those wrath and ruins to always put two
- 23:53Speaker 4: creatures back and just that hand choke into a lot
- 23:56Speaker 4: of GR decks is huge, right because GR is not
- 24:00Speaker 4: actually very efficient, not hand efficient, So like giving them
- 24:06Speaker 4: mixed creatures back to hand all the time really really
- 24:10Speaker 4: gave them a hard time.
- 24:15Speaker 1: So that end sealed for Thursday. Congratulations to Hurricane Relic,
- 24:21Speaker 1: Doctor Sheep, Fabulous Thing, Doug Tator, Aviator, Liquid Squash, Fosmunt,
- 24:28Speaker 1: and Sith all hitting that top eight. At that point,
- 24:34Speaker 1: we go to the hall. What the now? The poop easy?
- 24:37Speaker 1: We go to the vendor distracted, very distracting. We go
- 24:43Speaker 1: to the vendor hall. We poke around. I think we
- 24:47Speaker 1: only really well, we tried at one game, which was
- 24:50Speaker 1: what was that game called?
- 24:53Speaker 3: We definitely did Dungeon.
- 24:54Speaker 2: Carts, Dungeon cart, Yeah, dungeon KRT, Dungeon cart. You guys
- 24:58Speaker 2: love dungeon car.
- 25:00Speaker 4: It was the game that allowed to go from last
- 25:05Speaker 4: to winning in one urn.
- 25:06Speaker 1: He wasn't last, he was third.
- 25:09Speaker 2: No no, no, well so well sort of yeah. So
- 25:12Speaker 2: there's a turn order dungeon cart. You're essentially playing Mario
- 25:16Speaker 2: Kart's style asque racing game. Your cart then is trying
- 25:20Speaker 2: to make it through a course and your trying to.
- 25:23Speaker 1: A it's a Mario card.
- 25:24Speaker 2: It's a Mario kart board game.
- 25:26Speaker 3: Mechanics are too good a problem.
- 25:29Speaker 2: So that was it is that I actually started at
- 25:32Speaker 2: the rear of the pack. By the time we made
- 25:35Speaker 2: it through the first turn. I believe what he was
- 25:40Speaker 2: that you and I who both collected like the double.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Cards.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, pope.
- 25:49Speaker 2: But those power ups helped, and then it sent the
- 25:54Speaker 2: catch up mechanic. I was pretty close to where everyone was,
- 25:57Speaker 2: but because I was in the back, I got more
- 26:02Speaker 2: powerful catchup cards. And to be honest, those two cards,
- 26:06Speaker 2: as the player who is introducing it to us said, well,
- 26:09Speaker 2: these are the two most powerful cards from the game.
- 26:12Speaker 2: And I'm looking at both of them, going, oh, they're
- 26:15Speaker 2: both in my hand right now. So I only got
- 26:17Speaker 2: two of them, and they were very very powerful. One
- 26:20Speaker 2: you were limited with the game of being able to turn.
- 26:25Speaker 2: It's a hexagon ol board and you would turn a
- 26:29Speaker 2: sixty degree facing Okay, you could turn once. The card
- 26:34Speaker 2: that I really abused was at the very end. It
- 26:37Speaker 2: allowed you to just follow the optimal line and you
- 26:40Speaker 2: could turn as much as you wanted and just go straight.
- 26:43Speaker 2: So that was.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Something tells me everything. I mean, we played the game.
- 26:48Speaker 1: There's two boards going. I don't think we were playing
- 26:51Speaker 1: it right.
- 26:51Speaker 2: But well there's a question about the the bouncing or
- 26:56Speaker 2: bombing drifting. Yeah, the bumping because somehow Sheep managed to
- 27:01Speaker 2: go ahead and use his big fatty cards in order
- 27:05Speaker 2: to bump Who did you bump?
- 27:06Speaker 4: Was that.
- 27:08Speaker 2: It was Wookie? You bumped him like.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Chick across the board?
- 27:13Speaker 2: Yeah, it was all across the board like where typically
- 27:17Speaker 2: everyone else like eight spaces.
- 27:23Speaker 3: We were mind you you start this game in like
- 27:25Speaker 3: third gear and you want to go three spaces to
- 27:27Speaker 3: start with. And I think the max anyone got moving
- 27:30Speaker 3: points by the time we finished was was eight. Anyway, Yeah,
- 27:38Speaker 3: doesn't count because those cars are just flat broken.
- 27:40Speaker 2: No. No, the turn before the turn before that, I
- 27:43Speaker 2: had twelve as well. I actually pushed it there. That's
- 27:47Speaker 2: where the card on top of it, because you'd want
- 27:49Speaker 2: to ideally slow down, and I'm like, nope, I can
- 27:52Speaker 2: now play this card and push it further again. But no,
- 27:56Speaker 2: we played. Everyone was sad because I came from the
- 28:00Speaker 2: back and I won. And I told you ahead of time,
- 28:03Speaker 2: this is a race. But you have to be the
- 28:06Speaker 2: hair for the tortoise, and you guys wanted to be
- 28:11Speaker 2: the hair and I was content being the tortoise until
- 28:14Speaker 2: I rocked your world.
- 28:16Speaker 3: If you tried to cheat and go across a wall. Initially,
- 28:19Speaker 3: well I.
- 28:20Speaker 4: Said this there was no wall enough, let's end this
- 28:23Speaker 4: here you go.
- 28:24Speaker 2: Yeah, so no, it was fun, but it was not
- 28:27Speaker 2: our game.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Now it was, and we all said we would not
- 28:30Speaker 4: give them eighty dollars for this game, although lots of
- 28:33Speaker 4: other people.
- 28:36Speaker 2: A lot of people did. I also feel the person
- 28:38Speaker 2: who was running the demo was could have used some
- 28:42Speaker 2: better explanation.
- 28:43Speaker 3: Well, and to be fair, we're hitting the hall after
- 28:47Speaker 3: the keyboards tournament, so it's already four thirty ath early.
- 28:49Speaker 3: It's more like five o'clock. They've been in there for
- 28:52Speaker 3: seven hours having the demo the game. Be happy, encourage
- 28:55Speaker 3: people to play and enjoy it, right, So I imagine
- 28:58Speaker 3: after seven hours of doing that, you're you're you're running
- 29:01Speaker 3: on fumes if you're demo in a game. So appreciate
- 29:05Speaker 3: the guy who demoed it, but yeah, it you know
- 29:07Speaker 3: what was really lacking experience.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I feel like we should ask someone here who might
- 29:14Speaker 1: have been in the vendor hall for that amount of time.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Maybe that's the vendor hall, but demoing games for that
- 29:19Speaker 1: amount of time. If only there was someone here who
- 29:23Speaker 1: could do that.
- 29:24Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I can definitely tell you about for hours,
- 29:30Speaker 5: we have a sucker rather exhausting, so when you're getting
- 29:35Speaker 5: near the end of that eight hour shift, yeah, that
- 29:39Speaker 5: that is a little tiring.
- 29:43Speaker 1: And then coming through.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, but Stumpy Robots would have been fun
- 29:51Speaker 3: because we could just beat whale on each other and
- 29:52Speaker 3: that would have been the whole point.
- 29:53Speaker 5: So yeah, I'm kind of disappointed you guys didn't want to,
- 29:57Speaker 5: you know, sign up for grinder.
- 30:00Speaker 1: Still feel like they could have named that better. But anyways,
- 30:04Speaker 1: went and met up with Steve after that.
- 30:08Speaker 4: We still grinding, we needed.
- 30:09Speaker 1: To, yeah, And then then we went to the JW.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Marriott to meet up with Sydney and play some board
- 30:15Speaker 1: games right free load off of our awesome Marriotte super
- 30:21Speaker 1: rewards that we also did.
- 30:24Speaker 2: That that is a bonus as well.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Sometimes but it's not who, it's not what you know,
- 30:30Speaker 4: it's who you know. Yeah, I think we're all supermooches
- 30:33Speaker 4: and I approve.
- 30:34Speaker 1: I approve. What did we play?
- 30:36Speaker 3: Yeah, considering what our lodgings basically being like twenty five
- 30:39Speaker 3: dollars a day, basically, the way we went so yeah.
- 30:41Speaker 2: Of course, Hey, there was only two inches between your
- 30:46Speaker 2: knees and the board while you're taking a pooper. So
- 30:52Speaker 2: we did.
- 30:52Speaker 4: We did not have to be easy as the establishment.
- 30:56Speaker 1: No, you had to go to the JW. Marriott family bathroom,
- 31:00Speaker 1: which you have wag room you needed.
- 31:02Speaker 2: Okay, So we came up with this. We know that
- 31:05Speaker 2: dass core is known for his Dass Corps experience and
- 31:08Speaker 2: speakeasy is being able to find cheap. I I go
- 31:13Speaker 2: ahead and deem you the poop Easy, because man, you
- 31:17Speaker 2: you had a site for We're in.
- 31:20Speaker 1: The good bad.
- 31:22Speaker 4: If you think I'm telling people where the poop Easy is,
- 31:24Speaker 4: You're nuts.
- 31:25Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no no. You managed to find
- 31:30Speaker 2: that in the space. It was amazing. It was tucked
- 31:35Speaker 2: behind a little escalator. There was like nobody in my clues.
- 31:43Speaker 5: You don't talk about the poop Easy.
- 31:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 31:49Speaker 3: Now the reason for this, right is how many thousands
- 31:51Speaker 3: of people were there at gun Con. It was sold
- 31:53Speaker 3: out that we show up Wednesday and there were.
- 31:55Speaker 2: The seventy five thousand people.
- 31:57Speaker 3: Yeah, sevy five thousand people. They're all sharing not many bathrooms,
- 32:01Speaker 3: to be blunt.
- 32:02Speaker 1: So I found a restroom that I went to.
- 32:05Speaker 2: Yeah, actually on our way home. We thought about just
- 32:08Speaker 2: going ahead and bringing in a U haul trailer with
- 32:12Speaker 2: a one stall yes, that we could convert it.
- 32:15Speaker 4: We're one of those locked stalls.
- 32:19Speaker 2: I think I think this is the way to go
- 32:21Speaker 2: in the future because there is very limited space and
- 32:26Speaker 2: there's a lot of people putting some fluids and food
- 32:29Speaker 2: in their system.
- 32:30Speaker 4: We don't know how much people would actually play to
- 32:33Speaker 4: use a deluxe poopysy, you know where it's private, it's
- 32:37Speaker 4: air conditioned, it's got top of the line toilet paper.
- 32:40Speaker 5: I came up with a name, but I got Cook's
- 32:43Speaker 5: on the way out. It should be called the Butler.
- 32:49Speaker 4: That's pretty good.
- 32:52Speaker 1: Oh boy, well we'll well into this.
- 32:57Speaker 2: We have gone ahead and put this in the Butler
- 33:00Speaker 2: for for you. But I'm telling you, I've been at
- 33:02Speaker 2: weddings where you've had kind of essentially a pickup trailer
- 33:06Speaker 2: that has a series of toilets in so this isn't
- 33:10Speaker 2: unheard of.
- 33:12Speaker 4: But yeah, those are the lots.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Just he wants to go all the way like he
- 33:17Speaker 1: wants he wants to feel like royalty.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Well, I'm telling you that the money from Gigi is
- 33:23Speaker 2: no longer there, and so we're just gonna have to
- 33:27Speaker 2: go ahead and shell this out ourselves.
- 33:29Speaker 4: Then, yeah, I know this is a but we have
- 33:32Speaker 4: to figure out how to monetize pooping now.
- 33:34Speaker 3: Could we get more people to play key Forge? If
- 33:37Speaker 3: you know, part of your event entry got you a
- 33:39Speaker 3: ticket to the poop easy.
- 33:42Speaker 4: Butler?
- 33:45Speaker 1: I mean, what twenty bucks to get a to get
- 33:47Speaker 1: a shot at the at the butler?
- 33:51Speaker 5: I mean I walked all the way down to you
- 33:53Speaker 5: guys from the opposite end of the convention hall just
- 33:55Speaker 5: for the better bathroom.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Dude, those bathrooms were rough. Oh, going to it off
- 34:00Speaker 1: the exhibit hole, yeah nasty.
- 34:04Speaker 4: I went into some things.
- 34:07Speaker 1: I went into one with sheep and it smelled like
- 34:09Speaker 1: bo and ass ipeede. I still had to go. I
- 34:13Speaker 1: left and went to a different one. It was bad, Yeah,
- 34:18Speaker 1: it was.
- 34:19Speaker 2: I mean the large con again, seventy five thousand people.
- 34:22Speaker 2: It did sell out ahead of time, so they're just.
- 34:25Speaker 1: Again, I feel like we say this every year. Theorderant guys.
- 34:29Speaker 1: I'm a big guy too. I understand the qualms of
- 34:34Speaker 1: ninety degree heat outside. You just you just keep yourself
- 34:38Speaker 1: a little a little old spice spray, you know, and
- 34:41Speaker 1: when you're feeling a little less than fresh, give yourself
- 34:44Speaker 1: a little blast.
- 34:46Speaker 2: Now I will speak when you say ninety degrees sheep,
- 34:49Speaker 2: I felt that the sheep shack really held up. The
- 34:52Speaker 2: air conditioning kept me pretty cool outside when we were
- 34:56Speaker 2: doing teardown. And the one day when we dropped you off.
- 34:59Speaker 2: I think that that was Saturday night. Those were the
- 35:02Speaker 2: two times it was pretty hot, Sunday being the worst
- 35:05Speaker 2: of them.
- 35:05Speaker 4: Because I turned off the AC during the day while
- 35:08Speaker 4: we weren't there.
- 35:09Speaker 2: No one hundred percent. But I'm saying, like, I give
- 35:11Speaker 2: you real credit. The sheep shack was a comfortable endeavor
- 35:15Speaker 2: that I did not feel uncomfortable in the ninety degree days.
- 35:17Speaker 2: So you did awesome. I mean, we were inside the
- 35:19Speaker 2: big convention hall and the stadium, but when we came back,
- 35:24Speaker 2: it really was an enjoyable spot. So thanks man.
- 35:27Speaker 1: I had a fan.
- 35:28Speaker 2: It was great.
- 35:29Speaker 1: I had a fan, all right. It was good.
- 35:31Speaker 2: Now you.
- 35:34Speaker 5: Go ahead, go ahead and Steve well at night, you know,
- 35:38Speaker 5: let you uh raw dog it with your with your feet.
- 35:42Speaker 4: Yeah. Was that that was out?
- 35:46Speaker 2: Yea with the toes out. I learned. I learned so much.
- 35:52Speaker 2: I learned so much. Boys and girls. I'm just gonna say,
- 35:55Speaker 2: apparently I live a very very sheltered life. That is
- 35:58Speaker 2: what we learned. Speaking of so board games at JW. Merritt,
- 36:04Speaker 2: we actually did have some fun on that Thursday. Two
- 36:09Speaker 2: highlights for me, I put them in there. Oh yeah,
- 36:12Speaker 2: we played Adventure Party. So for all my board game
- 36:16Speaker 2: friends out there, Adventure party. Man. This is all about
- 36:19Speaker 2: storytelling and did we have some fun.
- 36:24Speaker 1: I would also just like to say some of us
- 36:26Speaker 1: are better at storytelling than others.
- 36:28Speaker 3: Accurate, some people are better at following the storytelling rules
- 36:31Speaker 3: as well than numbers.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Well you say that, I have one thing to say.
- 36:37Speaker 5: Do I missed that game and only got the recap,
- 36:42Speaker 5: but it was well worth the price of admission.
- 36:45Speaker 1: There was a lot of butt stuff happening in the recap.
- 36:49Speaker 3: Frostate exams.
- 36:51Speaker 2: I personally believe that the best way to escape prison
- 36:54Speaker 2: is with the shrieking sheep. Sheephead that was you know, enjoyed.
- 37:01Speaker 2: Oh yeah no, See, we needed to survive, so we
- 37:04Speaker 2: ate cheap and we were left with a head and
- 37:06Speaker 2: we had to use that in order to scare off
- 37:09Speaker 2: the guard.
- 37:09Speaker 3: There was a shrieking skull.
- 37:11Speaker 2: It was a shrieking skull.
- 37:13Speaker 4: Yeah, you walked definitely tried to abuse me and our
- 37:17Speaker 4: in our fantasy world.
- 37:19Speaker 2: It was amazing. So a great party game. I want
- 37:23Speaker 2: to call it a party game.
- 37:24Speaker 3: With that's a party game, I want to call it
- 37:26Speaker 3: a board game.
- 37:27Speaker 2: I mean the scoring on this game we were not
- 37:30Speaker 2: really worried about.
- 37:31Speaker 3: But this, like all good party games, these stories were
- 37:35Speaker 3: very enjoyable.
- 37:39Speaker 1: I thought I liked that game, but I did really
- 37:41Speaker 1: enjoy Ai.
- 37:44Speaker 2: So AI Space Puzzle?
- 37:47Speaker 3: Is that actually the name is? That's just how we
- 37:49Speaker 3: remember this is?
- 37:50Speaker 2: No?
- 37:50Speaker 1: I love it? Yes, I asked Chris Slater and I
- 37:52Speaker 1: was like, what is that? He's like, that's Ai.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Yes, No, No, it's actually Ai Space Puzzle. I actually
- 37:59Speaker 2: pulled it from poor game Geek. So I did that
- 38:02Speaker 2: two to five players and talk a little bit about
- 38:05Speaker 2: this game. What do we have to do?
- 38:07Speaker 3: All I have to say is what I'm the clue giver.
- 38:10Speaker 3: Wookie understands what I'm saying, but you two have no
- 38:13Speaker 3: idea what's going on, and you guys keep convincing but
- 38:15Speaker 3: change everything and is screwed it all up.
- 38:19Speaker 1: So Wookie got it right. No, no, Wook, you got
- 38:23Speaker 1: it right. I was a one hundred percent correct the whole time.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Y'all were wrong.
- 38:27Speaker 2: Sheep do you remember this the same way that Wookie
- 38:30Speaker 2: was right. Ah, yes, the time to say no, this is.
- 38:37Speaker 4: The situation where clearly they communicate with like grunt instead
- 38:44Speaker 4: of language, and we could not understand.
- 38:48Speaker 3: So the premise of this game is your bunch of
- 38:50Speaker 3: astronauts on a nuclear power vessel that's failing, and the
- 38:53Speaker 3: AI broken computer is trying to communicate with astronauts and
- 38:56Speaker 3: tell them how to basically shut down the reactor. So
- 39:01Speaker 3: is the clue giver. You're giving clues with just token
- 39:04Speaker 3: tile tokens and a certain number of them and such
- 39:08Speaker 3: to guide the other players so they can get the clues,
- 39:12Speaker 3: and then they have to figure out where they're moving
- 39:13Speaker 3: the astronauts to and with which which key to then
- 39:17Speaker 3: you know, shut down the reactor or safely is the
- 39:19Speaker 3: premise of the game. So and the AI at one
- 39:22Speaker 3: point and Wookie, Wookie understood every clue I gave him,
- 39:26Speaker 3: but it was up to Sheep every time to convince
- 39:28Speaker 3: him that he was wrong, which was both frustrating and
- 39:31Speaker 3: quite amusing that, uh.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Well, we know, we know that Wookie is always wrong,
- 39:36Speaker 2: so it was really difficult to believe that he was
- 39:38Speaker 2: actually right. But the actual board itself was a four
- 39:41Speaker 2: x four grid, and so placing those mepals out of
- 39:45Speaker 2: the specific color and a key to be able to
- 39:48Speaker 2: match later on. If you want a little extra challenge,
- 39:51Speaker 2: you can add in a pips die essentially, but another
- 39:56Speaker 2: die to be able to match. But oh, this this
- 39:58Speaker 2: we had a lot of fun. What's easy as you're
- 40:00Speaker 2: given a certain amount of depths or chances to be
- 40:04Speaker 2: able to move each round, depending on the round, it
- 40:08Speaker 2: was two or three movements, and then you'd essentially lower
- 40:12Speaker 2: it for your number of rounds. But the problem is
- 40:15Speaker 2: you never get feedback if you are correct in the
- 40:20Speaker 2: choice or if you're incorrect. So as we moved down,
- 40:24Speaker 2: it then would come back to the computer to tell
- 40:27Speaker 2: us a clue, and then you'd move it down and
- 40:30Speaker 2: then the computer would tellus another clue, and eventually you'd
- 40:32Speaker 2: say we either have this or we've run out of clues.
- 40:35Speaker 2: We always had extra. It's just the type of gamers
- 40:38Speaker 2: we were. And outside of the time where John you
- 40:42Speaker 2: were running this, we were successful. So it was fun.
- 40:46Speaker 2: But it led to some great discussions, some arguments, and
- 40:50Speaker 2: overall good time. So I'd recommend it.
- 40:56Speaker 1: All right, Moving into Friday. Friday was our Arkhan Tournament.
- 41:01Speaker 1: Twenty six players participated in ar Kan. How did everybody do?
- 41:09Speaker 3: I got to abuse Woki, so I had a great time.
- 41:11Speaker 1: You did get to abuse me. I did not have fun.
- 41:15Speaker 3: We would out back in the wood check so.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah they sure did. Glad you got knocked out.
- 41:22Speaker 3: So I guess going off of that, I went too
- 41:24Speaker 3: and was like, oh, I might have a chance to
- 41:26Speaker 3: begin into the top eight, and then I ran into
- 41:27Speaker 3: Fabulous and in June and there went the rest of
- 41:29Speaker 3: my day. But then I jumped on stream and commentated
- 41:33Speaker 3: with Jeremy, which was a blast and really enjoyed that
- 41:36Speaker 3: almost enough fun that I'm like, maybe I'll just write
- 41:39Speaker 3: off Arkon and just do commentary from here on.
- 41:44Speaker 1: Jr. How was your Arkon experience?
- 41:47Speaker 2: My Arkon experience was actually enjoyable. After a pretty pathetic Thursday,
- 41:52Speaker 2: going O two, I came in. I brought a deck
- 41:56Speaker 2: that was a tool deck. It's a gr tool deck.
- 41:58Speaker 2: It actually had the nice awakenings border and I enjoy it.
- 42:03Speaker 2: It is It's a fun, fun deck, and I think
- 42:06Speaker 2: that when you're playing in a tournament, that's an important aspect.
- 42:10Speaker 2: Can the deck do well? Does it have tools? Is
- 42:13Speaker 2: it going to go ahead and be successful, and then
- 42:16Speaker 2: do you enjoy it. If you do not enjoy the deck,
- 42:19Speaker 2: do not bring it, even if it will go ahead
- 42:21Speaker 2: and win. I know there's some people who will, but
- 42:24Speaker 2: you're there for multiple hours. For ARCon Game one, I
- 42:28Speaker 2: faced Tron three seventeen, who was ross from Indy, So
- 42:31Speaker 2: shout out to you man. I did. This was on stream.
- 42:35Speaker 2: I won three keys to two. He had scholar spam,
- 42:38Speaker 2: and I pretty much shut down the scholars spam by
- 42:43Speaker 2: paying playing pester Growth. So I apologize to all the
- 42:46Speaker 2: watchers and viewers who went ahead and saw we both
- 42:50Speaker 2: missed the enraged tokens multiple times. That deck has eighteen
- 42:55Speaker 2: printed amber and pester Grove is just one of those
- 42:58Speaker 2: tools that if you're facing a ours pod or certain
- 43:01Speaker 2: groups in this case scholar spam, it can really limit
- 43:06Speaker 2: the ability to go ahead and be able to reap
- 43:10Speaker 2: right away. Now, unfortunately Ross only got off one of
- 43:13Speaker 2: the scholars, and that turn was before pester Grove came down.
- 43:17Speaker 2: So pester Grove did slow the game down, but it's
- 43:20Speaker 2: still we finished with plenty of time. We missed a
- 43:22Speaker 2: couple triggers for putting out the big trigger that was
- 43:26Speaker 2: actually missed consistently was I'd fight with a creature and
- 43:30Speaker 2: then just forget to remove the enraged token. But it
- 43:35Speaker 2: just there's such a rarity that you would actually fight
- 43:39Speaker 2: with your enraged creature to still have it alive. It
- 43:44Speaker 2: had very minimal impact on the game. So we got
- 43:47Speaker 2: a couple of stops.
- 43:48Speaker 1: There, no big deal.
- 43:49Speaker 2: Game two, I faced fire Spray again. So this is
- 43:52Speaker 2: Jared Spray.
- 43:57Speaker 3: Yeah, he's doing trying talking about his matches.
- 44:01Speaker 1: Ye, how did you do in Arkhan? What were you
- 44:03Speaker 1: were playing on fallow.
- 44:07Speaker 4: So on the way to gen Con, I got mugged
- 44:09Speaker 4: and Fraud ended up in somebody else's hands.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Nobody got nobody mugged you. It was not a mugging.
- 44:17Speaker 4: Mugging set off to change the tire.
- 44:21Speaker 3: Yeah, we didn't mention that.
- 44:26Speaker 4: So indeed you played Fraud. So then looking through his
- 44:32Speaker 4: left I'm fadomal to finished second to Fraud in Texas
- 44:36Speaker 4: with a deck called Lancelot that has triple ease and
- 44:42Speaker 4: lots of other cool stuff. So I figured I would
- 44:43Speaker 4: just play that because it's fun, and indeed it was fun.
- 44:51Speaker 4: I got all the way to fifth place, but the
- 44:57Speaker 4: highlights for me were I did to beat June on
- 45:05Speaker 4: on ban Doola on strain. So that was that felt was.
- 45:12Speaker 1: That because ban Doola I actually believe this or not
- 45:14Speaker 1: people Bandola did not. I don't believe Bandola top eighted right.
- 45:20Speaker 4: Uh. It lost to me on like I had exceptional
- 45:25Speaker 4: lucky draws in my opinion going on in that situation,
- 45:31Speaker 4: like every every time June tried to play a good creature,
- 45:36Speaker 4: I was able to return a grim Reaper to the
- 45:39Speaker 4: board and just purge it. Uh. And you know, she
- 45:44Speaker 4: had like a bad witchcreen turn and I perched that.
- 45:46Speaker 4: She had a bad jury return and I perched that.
- 45:49Speaker 4: And that's just how it went right. It was, it
- 45:51Speaker 4: was all she And then she got paired up to
- 45:55Speaker 4: an aoa deck that had double mimicry, and potentially a
- 46:00Speaker 4: different line of play might have worked out, but the
- 46:02Speaker 4: double mimicrys were able to capitalize on the good cards
- 46:05Speaker 4: and Bandola and went out.
- 46:09Speaker 1: I had to take on that deck.
- 46:12Speaker 4: I also had to take on that deck. That was
- 46:15Speaker 4: very cool. That was very cool. Deck from cast of
- 46:18Speaker 4: Ar also had like quad Director quad Zyx researchers in it.
- 46:25Speaker 4: And in the game he played against me. H, he
- 46:29Speaker 4: never even played a zyx. That's how fast landslide, just
- 46:34Speaker 4: like Shot out of the Gate did everything right and
- 46:38Speaker 4: was on T three and like five turns and he
- 46:41Speaker 4: just didn't get to get anything going.
- 46:44Speaker 1: I think that deck on stream, no, I don't know.
- 46:49Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 46:50Speaker 3: I think so it sounds very familiar, and I think
- 46:52Speaker 3: that's by the point I was out of the tournament,
- 46:54Speaker 3: so it's commented.
- 46:55Speaker 4: And then ultimately in the end, I got taken out
- 46:59Speaker 4: by the scholar spam deck that Wookie would play on
- 47:04Speaker 4: day two, and he scholar spammed the pants off me
- 47:08Speaker 4: one trainer and he still pulled off of five scholars
- 47:12Speaker 4: and pecks or on a turn pretty early in the game,
- 47:16Speaker 4: and I was like, whoof And that was the end
- 47:18Speaker 4: of me. That deck did everything it wanted to do
- 47:20Speaker 4: against me, and now and then I still had a
- 47:25Speaker 4: route at the end and then an event Horizon to
- 47:29Speaker 4: get me re haunted so I could reach Holler, and
- 47:33Speaker 4: I played a survey to discard the first action on
- 47:36Speaker 4: my deck and then played the event Horizon to try
- 47:38Speaker 4: to get haunted looking and then to get haunted. But
- 47:42Speaker 4: the next card was also an action, so and I
- 47:46Speaker 4: ended up one card short of being able to replay
- 47:48Speaker 4: Troller Capitae Alizamber and keep chaining that game for.
- 47:52Speaker 3: E Yeah lookie year game versus Cost of Airs on stream. Okay, yeah,
- 47:58Speaker 3: it's uh Sheep's game versus Sydney is on stream as
- 48:02Speaker 3: well on our day.
- 48:05Speaker 1: I remember because here's what I remember, because I remember,
- 48:08Speaker 1: so I went one Oh, I was playing a new player,
- 48:12Speaker 1: very new, and fraud struggled. It did not It did
- 48:18Speaker 1: fraud things, but it was not as clean as I
- 48:21Speaker 1: wanted it to be. And then then I got to
- 48:24Speaker 1: play you, and uh, yeah, you took me to the woodshed.
- 48:27Speaker 1: That's that's for sure what The game lasted all of
- 48:30Speaker 1: what three turns?
- 48:31Speaker 2: Four turns?
- 48:33Speaker 3: I went a little longer than that. But my my
- 48:35Speaker 3: deck I like to run has a lot of hand
- 48:37Speaker 3: disruption and a lot of if you rely on action.
- 48:40Speaker 3: It doesn't have Bryo, but has good ways to disrupt
- 48:42Speaker 3: it it has.
- 48:45Speaker 1: It has, yes, I know, and that's that's good enough.
- 48:51Speaker 1: And then to be honestly, I remember a lot until
- 48:53Speaker 1: I get went up to fabulous Thing, and I don't
- 48:57Speaker 1: remember the order in it. I remember I beat fan fabulousing,
- 49:00Speaker 1: and then maybe I went to stream and it might
- 49:02Speaker 1: have been the other way around. We're just things just
- 49:08Speaker 1: kind of went my way. I don't know, fraud just
- 49:10Speaker 1: did fraud.
- 49:11Speaker 3: Things, fraudulent things. Very Yeah, you played fabulous on stream
- 49:18Speaker 3: and fabulous scene was on a rat Catcher or aquadus
- 49:21Speaker 3: the rat Catcher.
- 49:22Speaker 1: Not play fabulous on stream?
- 49:24Speaker 2: Did I?
- 49:25Speaker 3: No? No, it's Gris Shammer here. Sorry, I think to
- 49:28Speaker 3: find the names.
- 49:29Speaker 1: What was his name, Cavariver? I know I played that
- 49:34Speaker 1: on stream and that did fraudulent things. I I almost
- 49:37Speaker 1: felt it was so fraudulent. I kind of felt thirty afterwards.
- 49:41Speaker 1: I was like, that didn't even seem fun for him
- 49:44Speaker 1: at all. I think that was the last game of
- 49:52Speaker 1: the day. Weird story. Uh uh not Swiss uh. Sealed
- 49:58Speaker 1: went to a top eight, but they took us all
- 50:02Speaker 1: the way to top four.
- 50:04Speaker 4: Yeah, there was only so there's forty players for Sealed, right,
- 50:08Speaker 4: so they kept us at a true top eight cut.
- 50:11Speaker 4: We showed up for ar Con there was only twenty
- 50:14Speaker 4: seven or eight of us.
- 50:17Speaker 2: There were twenty six players for our gun and.
- 50:24Speaker 1: Yeah, so they went to a top four cut. And
- 50:27Speaker 1: you'll notice a trend as we move into so boys.
- 50:32Speaker 2: I know I bounced out apparently because I lost discord.
- 50:34Speaker 2: Where did they leave you off here?
- 50:36Speaker 1: We don't know.
- 50:37Speaker 3: We moved on.
- 50:38Speaker 1: We were already through. But we are going to the JW.
- 50:42Speaker 1: Marriott right now. Oh that were we met up with.
- 50:46Speaker 1: I forgot who we met.
- 50:47Speaker 2: Did you hear me talk about fire spray?
- 50:51Speaker 1: Yep?
- 50:53Speaker 3: And there was your net arch nymps this all weekend.
- 50:55Speaker 2: Yeah, he was eleven as scam yep in Sydney.
- 51:00Speaker 1: Yeah, heard it off? Okay.
- 51:02Speaker 2: So the only other thing that I had is it
- 51:05Speaker 2: did you know? I wasn't used to this from Roseville?
- 51:09Speaker 2: But I got to play Second Amber. So I played
- 51:11Speaker 2: Second Amber with the Papa and we had a blast there.
- 51:15Speaker 2: And I will tell you one of the funniest games
- 51:19Speaker 2: happened because he had his new little pet Tack, and
- 51:22Speaker 2: he had key forgery out and I had ability to
- 51:24Speaker 2: purge one artifact. So I made the choice to go
- 51:27Speaker 2: ahead and purge the hologramophone and key forgery ended up
- 51:34Speaker 2: on the final turn it actually mattered, and so I
- 51:41Speaker 2: had to call.
- 51:43Speaker 1: Or is that only for Vault tours?
- 51:45Speaker 3: I think it's a Vault tour thing.
- 51:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I didn't actually see that, but I mean to
- 51:50Speaker 2: be honest.
- 51:50Speaker 3: The only day that a Second Amber fired at all,
- 51:53Speaker 3: was sealed and I got a game in myself, and
- 51:56Speaker 3: then after that it didn't look like second number really
- 51:58Speaker 3: fired at all. But that's part of how few people
- 52:01Speaker 3: there were.
- 52:01Speaker 2: Yeah, second Amber did fire on both Thursday and Friday,
- 52:04Speaker 2: but there was only roughly four on sealed and there
- 52:08Speaker 2: were two or three of us for on Friday.
- 52:11Speaker 3: And it's gen Con. I mean, if you're out of
- 52:12Speaker 3: the tournament, there is a lot of interesting things to
- 52:15Speaker 3: go do, so.
- 52:16Speaker 2: Correct and that was part of the feedback is hopefully
- 52:19Speaker 2: for the future, just the cost of gen Con putting
- 52:22Speaker 2: it in a very very different venue. I still think
- 52:24Speaker 2: that GG needs to have presence at gen Con for
- 52:28Speaker 2: their booth, but it would be much more advantageous in
- 52:32Speaker 2: my opinion, to be able to run one sealed event,
- 52:35Speaker 2: and that one sealed event would probably be your draw
- 52:38Speaker 2: and that's it. It should not be where Nationals is held.
- 52:42Speaker 3: Or just be running sealed pods all day. If you
- 52:45Speaker 3: got enough of a draw, people.
- 52:49Speaker 1: We go back to the JW. Marriott. Well I think
- 52:51Speaker 1: we went back visit Steve again, of course, to go
- 52:55Speaker 1: see Steve went back to the Marriott. Yeah, you mean, oh.
- 52:59Speaker 5: No, that's when Dan came No, that was Thursday when
- 53:01Speaker 5: Dan came and was messing with me when I was
- 53:03Speaker 5: trying to demo stuff.
- 53:04Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you got.
- 53:06Speaker 2: You mean the first moment that, yeah, the first time,
- 53:10Speaker 2: then Grinder in the stumpy robots over in the area.
- 53:14Speaker 2: But wasn't that literally you had just started. This was
- 53:17Speaker 2: within the first ten minutes of you doing your first
- 53:19Speaker 2: shift with actual people leading it, and then Sheep's already
- 53:22Speaker 2: trying to mess with you.
- 53:24Speaker 5: It was like the second It was in the second hour,
- 53:27Speaker 5: but like basically ten minutes in where I was like
- 53:30Speaker 5: doing the lead demoing. So that was that was fun.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Cheap causes.
- 53:38Speaker 1: Shacker Sheep problems. I don't remember what do we do
- 53:45Speaker 1: on Friday night? I mean I know it's the JW. Marriott.
- 53:48Speaker 1: We met up with some of our KEYFODE friends. I
- 53:50Speaker 1: can't remember who we met up with.
- 53:54Speaker 5: Was that the night you guys had your uh your
- 53:57Speaker 5: scooter rally?
- 53:58Speaker 1: Well, we had school.
- 54:00Speaker 2: That was that was Saturday.
- 54:01Speaker 1: We had scooter rallies many days Saturday.
- 54:05Speaker 5: I walked back with you.
- 54:08Speaker 2: No, no, you walked back the second time.
- 54:11Speaker 1: Yeah. There there's that's a whole nother story.
- 54:15Speaker 2: The heads.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Sorry, yeah, you know.
- 54:16Speaker 4: About our stories. Because you were a working stiff.
- 54:19Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, a.
- 54:24Speaker 5: Good time.
- 54:27Speaker 3: And a bunch of other games.
- 54:29Speaker 1: I remember the Pirate game. I don't know, I don't
- 54:31Speaker 1: remember what it was called. We were playing the pirate
- 54:33Speaker 1: game where you drew the tiles from the bag.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Oh that was Captain Flip.
- 54:37Speaker 1: Yeah, yep, that was an interesting game.
- 54:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Captain Flip was actually up for Spieled a Jar
- 54:45Speaker 2: and uh, very appropriate if you have littles. I actually
- 54:48Speaker 2: brought it back my nine an eleven year old played it.
- 54:50Speaker 2: And when I say play, it is very very quick.
- 54:53Speaker 2: As gamers, that's a ten minute game with kids easily.
- 54:58Speaker 2: You can go ahead and teach the rules. And it
- 55:00Speaker 2: finished in twenty So interesting.
- 55:03Speaker 3: Fine, it's amusing.
- 55:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Friday was a bit sad. I wasn't feeling one
- 55:07Speaker 2: hundred percent, so I was just kind of over in
- 55:09Speaker 2: the corner wanting to go back.
- 55:11Speaker 3: And well that's okay because sheep spent time and time
- 55:13Speaker 3: out on Saturday.
- 55:14Speaker 1: So yeah, but speaking of Saturday, Saturday saw Alliance. How
- 55:22Speaker 1: many people showed up to Alliance fourteen?
- 55:25Speaker 2: I had thirteen?
- 55:26Speaker 3: Thirteen It might be wrong, but thirteen and you know
- 55:30Speaker 3: the whole Oh you know, you're still in it as
- 55:32Speaker 3: long as you you know, you haven't lost twice. Well,
- 55:34Speaker 3: there was someone who decided that one loss was enough
- 55:36Speaker 3: and they dropped after the first round. So we went
- 55:38Speaker 3: from thirteen to twelve, which caused no end of headaches
- 55:41Speaker 3: with the pairing system.
- 55:42Speaker 1: Oh, it caused a lot of headaches.
- 55:46Speaker 2: Well, they did make the decision to go ahead and
- 55:48Speaker 2: they were going to play out alliance, which is why
- 55:51Speaker 2: those of us who could make top eight and if
- 55:54Speaker 2: you didn't make it all the way. They said that
- 55:57Speaker 2: early on, before we started, they said, with thirteen players,
- 56:00Speaker 2: we're going to go ahead and play to a final two.
- 56:05Speaker 1: No, that is said, that is not what they are go.
- 56:09Speaker 2: Ahead, go ahead and recall.
- 56:11Speaker 4: So, yes, as they're saying we had forty players for sealed,
- 56:14Speaker 4: they told us we showed up. We played the top
- 56:16Speaker 4: eight as expected. Top eight happening on Sunday. Yes, we're
- 56:20Speaker 4: going to ARCon. There's only twenty seven or eight or
- 56:23Speaker 4: whatever it is. So they tell us we're gonna twenty six,
- 56:26Speaker 4: thank you, And they tell us we're gonna play the
- 56:28Speaker 4: top four and we get to a top four cut.
- 56:32Speaker 4: On Friday, we show up with thirteen players for Nationals.
- 56:39Speaker 4: Gen kind of Lions only thirteen players, and they tell
- 56:44Speaker 4: us we're gonna play tool all the way out and
- 56:49Speaker 4: probably not finishing it today. But it's not super duper
- 56:54Speaker 4: clear what's going on, but probably not finishing it out today.
- 57:02Speaker 2: And that's where I had heard the two l oh
- 57:04Speaker 2: to our final two. So that's how I took it
- 57:07Speaker 2: from the interaction.
- 57:08Speaker 4: No, it was definitely two l O all the way
- 57:11Speaker 4: out until you're down to two players, and then that
- 57:14Speaker 4: switches to a best of three for.
- 57:15Speaker 2: Man, Yeah, that was gonna be. That was gonna be
- 57:17Speaker 2: the finals on Sunday.
- 57:19Speaker 4: Regardless of how many lives either player had it.
- 57:23Speaker 2: Swich is the best of three, correct, But basically two
- 57:28Speaker 2: l ow until we get to to two will supposedly
- 57:31Speaker 2: play out on Sunday.
- 57:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so we play, and we play, and we play.
- 57:38Speaker 2: And hold on again gets.
- 57:41Speaker 4: Stream on like game two.
- 57:42Speaker 2: No, No, that was game one being game sit.
- 57:46Speaker 4: Down against e Walk on stream and he wallops me.
- 57:51Speaker 2: It was three to one. This this is what control
- 57:55Speaker 2: of the week, screaming cave can do boom. That was
- 57:59Speaker 2: foh ship oh no, it was amazing and it made
- 58:02Speaker 2: me feel very good after sheep going ahead and you know,
- 58:06Speaker 2: making it for top eight for both Sealed and ARCon.
- 58:11Speaker 3: It was funny commentation.
- 58:12Speaker 4: It felt great, it was awful.
- 58:17Speaker 1: It was great. A bullshit is what I heard.
- 58:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right, great commentary.
- 58:23Speaker 4: He absolutely wasted me. That is definitely what happened there.
- 58:29Speaker 2: Well, it's okay. Game two. I faced JGG three fourteen,
- 58:33Speaker 2: so sloppy. Weller, there you go man on MM control
- 58:36Speaker 2: and he's going first, and he mulligans. He's got three
- 58:42Speaker 2: quicksel and Eaton's jar. He also has some other artifacts
- 58:47Speaker 2: that become very very important. Yep. He mulligan's into his
- 58:55Speaker 2: eating star and call in control of the week. I
- 59:02Speaker 2: actually do have a line. I had my grassing Vinest
- 59:06Speaker 2: was there, and it's a very very long line, but
- 59:10Speaker 2: I can basically I can go ahead, Yes, but I
- 59:16Speaker 2: have double phase shift, so I could go ahead and
- 59:18Speaker 2: hold on to that with a double phase shift with
- 59:21Speaker 2: the choda and the grass spot.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Like.
- 59:24Speaker 2: There's it's a long line. I'm not doing that. It's
- 59:27Speaker 2: turned one. I played it out. He promptly purged it.
- 59:31Speaker 2: Great call. This game is done. This game was done
- 59:33Speaker 2: when you played the control. I just do I don't
- 59:37Speaker 2: have a hard R in that deck. I get key one.
- 59:42Speaker 2: He is going ahead and archiving, pushing for key two.
- 59:48Speaker 2: Universal key lock has brought out. And here's where the
- 59:51Speaker 2: real call comes in. I make a call that he
- 59:54Speaker 2: is actually pushing to go ahead and forge that key
- 59:57Speaker 2: with nine. But the longer I wait, the more he's
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: able to archive because he also has auto encoder out,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: and so we're looking back and forth. He has auto
- 1:00:08Speaker 2: and coder.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: He also has you know the conceed buttons at the
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: top right right.
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: Nope, there is no conceed button here. Man. This is
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: this is, this is nationals and we're gonna we're gonna
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: roll with it. What is the MM card that you
- 1:00:22Speaker 2: can archive a card or you can pull a card
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: out of your archives and will increase your key costs
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: by plus three. That is what was played, So that
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: actually was pretty important. We go ahead and we tax
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: back and forth, and eventually we get down to his
- 1:00:44Speaker 2: deck is in hand. There were three cards, and he
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: just rule of six the three cards over and over
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: to discard my hands and to go ahead and gain
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: a whole bunch of amber. And then that was it.
- 1:00:56Speaker 2: So it was up to one.
- 1:00:59Speaker 3: There's no he's blowing up a fiend to steal one.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: It's gott drop it and he's playing Implosion, which has
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: a drop hip, so he's just looping in mind fire
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: with the drop hips. So the whole goal that is
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: auto encoder everything away and then just getting this little
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: loop where you force your reported this card their whole
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: hand and steal six amber and clear the board.
- 1:01:19Speaker 2: It's yeah, yeah, but.
- 1:01:22Speaker 4: It's very very very very probably eating that deck alive.
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: You would have. Yeah, So that is I took the
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: loss on there. It was pretty funny because we get
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: to it, like when when you have someone who does
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: the amount of work that JGG had done to get
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: two three cars, who.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: Likes maximum key forge time more JDG Josh or E.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Walk Oh.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: I think that we were both enjoying it, man, like
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: when you can see the amount of work that goes
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: into identifying that alliance and to be able to lean
- 1:01:59Speaker 2: into it, to be able to actually execute it. He
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: actually said do you want to now see after we
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: had gone through one cycle, do you want to or
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: like as we were coming into the first cycle, he
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: had played the first card but he hadn't ruled a
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: six them, and he's like, do you want to? Do
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: you want to see this? And I said yes, and
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: I got laughed at biologose, guys. Yes, like, if someone
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: has worked that hard to be able to purch I
- 1:02:24Speaker 2: am giving them credit to be able to showcase what
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: they did, and that's what Alliance can do. It was
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: a complete destroyed effect, but hey, it was It was lovely.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: He forged his key, and when it came back to
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: my turn, I had nothing like, here you go. And
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: then I, after we had gotten the second key, I
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: did concede for the third, So there you go, guys.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: I did concede, but that was just to save time.
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: At this point we were under I think there were
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: five minutes left, and I did tell him we had
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: eleven minutes by the time he actually got to his seat.
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: Now I am playing super super fast codal like boom,
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: I play cards and I move on. I do think
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: that a lesser player could have gone ahead and easily
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: stalled for the win. I don't think that that's the
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: right play, and I will stand by the decision not
- 1:03:11Speaker 2: to do that. But JDG after day one went down
- 1:03:16Speaker 2: as the only undefeated person, so that was pretty cool.
- 1:03:20Speaker 2: Round three I gotta buye and then round four I
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: faced June and June Man. June has had my number
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: every time I've gone ahead and played her, so it
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: was really nice to play her. She was playing her,
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: uh what is it the woe? Make me?
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Woll make it, make it, make it, make it.
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: Make Yeah, it's a but she did not. She didn't
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: see her near future lens Gen's either, and like that
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: game was over. I actually felt pretty bad. It was
- 1:03:51Speaker 2: three keys to zero, so I I made it in.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: I made it into the top eight. I faced Aviator.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: Actually I ended up finishing fourth, but Aviator's deck on
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: well right, Yes, this this is frog Legs deck and
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: it is the DT beast that it is.
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: It's the back some key forge time because that deck
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: will when it wins, will take you know, half the
- 1:04:21Speaker 3: time to play the one turn, so it maximizes your
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: you know, your time with your friend.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: Yes, so I knew what I needed to pull, and
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: I needed to have control the week, and I needed
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: to play lots of control of the week. I did
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: not get streaming cave or control the week, so I'm
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: ulligan and then I drew horribly and you will find
- 1:04:43Speaker 2: on stream that I made a lovely play because I
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: now have six cards and I look down and I
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: go I'm going to play three cards. An Aviator was
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: so kind and looked across and goes, you know that
- 1:04:53Speaker 2: you're going first, and only gets to play one card
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: after your third card after the third card, but I
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: had I had shown wild Wormhole, but I had not
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: played it, so yes, I drew into it was pretty dead,
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: and that also meant the other three discs were also
- 1:05:11Speaker 2: pretty dead. And on the second turn I did play
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: the rest of that logos, which was Wormhole, and that
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: Wormhole did allow me to go ahead and play Scrambler
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: Storm off of the Wormhole, and that's where my day
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: ended because that forced Aviator to actually wait a turn.
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: Otherwise he would have gone off unturned two, but instead
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: he went off on turn three. I played some miscellaneous
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: disc creatures, which didn't matter. I didn't see control the
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: week at all, and he, yes, lookagar, he did take
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: probably about eight to ten minutes to place during he
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: was very efficient. I had no problem with that. But
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: it was a sight to see and he went off
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: any otk on me, and that was the end of
- 1:05:53Speaker 2: my day. My deck is not it does not have
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: the legs to be able to deal with him. But sheep,
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: you did, you did have some experience though.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: I played games too. If anybody was curious.
- 1:06:11Speaker 2: I was gonna say, should we do well? This is
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: actual where I was going to lean into should should
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: we lean into Wookie? And you should tell us before
- 1:06:16Speaker 2: we get to sheep.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: My day sucked. I don't know you're talking about too.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: I beat up Seth. We had a mirror match of
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: our our our match in Roosevelt. I never left howse Sorian.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Then June played her deck that was very very close.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: I think, yeah, we were on stream for that one.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: That was pretty close. Couldn't get scholars spam to scholar spam,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: which is super frustrating when you put the whole premise
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: of your decks is to spam scholars, and you can't
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: spam scholars. And then then I played I played my
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: last game.
- 1:07:01Speaker 2: Well while you're thinking, I see frog legs in the audience,
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: and man, I got to give you a shout out.
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: That DT deck for Alliance is a beauty. It is
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: a thing to be able to watch with so many outs.
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: So it was it is really neat to see what
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: you put together. So well done there. It was your
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: third game.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: I played Aviator's Daughter Ah Drag yeah, and again, I
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: could not get scholar spam the scholar and or spam
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: and uh, but I did get aviator a warning. I
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: don't know if I yeah, I don't know if that's
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: winning at anything, but no, it's now. Yeah. At that
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: point I properly went to the to the convention hall
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: to meet up with my old man and that's it
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: for me and.
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: Loco cart What did you decide to do? Oh?
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: After I scrubbed out as arkon, I was doing commentary
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: the rest of the time.
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:07:53Speaker 3: So, so it's great because every time I watch you
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: guys play at the local, I want to comment and
- 1:07:57Speaker 3: talk about how you're making misplays or should have done
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: this different he or something, And then I got to
- 1:08:01Speaker 3: actually do it live. Even you guys can even hear
- 1:08:04Speaker 3: me complain. So it's perfect.
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: Yeah, but like you're just like half a step above mister,
- 1:08:09Speaker 4: perfect for crazy plays that make no sense.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: Yes, yes, and this is a problem.
- 1:08:18Speaker 4: How I'm just saying, you commenting on my place, I
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: like to comment on your place.
- 1:08:22Speaker 3: You know I didn't miss a blast play. You know
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: that's because you.
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Know better than even well, I will say, as someone
- 1:08:33Speaker 2: who does this game, you can play. Still, I still
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: made plenty of mistakes and I am definitely human. So
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: that that is what I learned, and I think that
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: it can go ahead and humble others. That doesn't matter
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: how short a period of time, even my key forge
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: or how long you know, the long tournament's just your
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: mental block for a split second can have an impact.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: It didn't really impact the game because that game was
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: not in my favor and I did not redraw. But
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: it still feels bad when you should be playing one
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: card and you're playing multiple. Mister Steve, how did your
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: event go? Well, you were there Saturday because you're running
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: some games and then we'll get to Sheep and then
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: we'll come back to your late night game.
- 1:09:20Speaker 5: Yeah, so Saturday, I worked again, worked a whole four
- 1:09:24Speaker 5: hour or eight hour shift. I did get a little
- 1:09:27Speaker 5: break during my eight hours, which was but in the
- 1:09:33Speaker 5: night I got to play in I played Battle Tech.
- 1:09:36Speaker 5: I got a chance to play in their Masters and
- 1:09:39Speaker 5: Minions event, which is only run at gen Con. It's
- 1:09:41Speaker 5: like their premier event where you get a chance to
- 1:09:44Speaker 5: play against like authors, artists and game designers in that game.
- 1:09:53Speaker 5: I signed up and got a chance to play against
- 1:09:55Speaker 5: one of the line artists Anthony Scroggins, which was it
- 1:10:00Speaker 5: was a fun game. He is I was told it
- 1:10:03Speaker 5: was going to be a casual game, but he is
- 1:10:08Speaker 5: a very good and very strong player definitely knew what
- 1:10:12Speaker 5: he was up up to and had had a plan.
- 1:10:16Speaker 5: Uh set up my teammates and I uh started out strong,
- 1:10:23Speaker 5: kind of struggled near the end, and at the end
- 1:10:26Speaker 5: my grasshopper, which everybody was kind of making fun of
- 1:10:29Speaker 5: the mech that I brought U ended up carrying the
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: day for my team. So that was exciting and that
- 1:10:35Speaker 5: took us to.
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: Wow.
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: It was I picked a mech that was short on
- 1:10:46Speaker 5: battle value, and to balance me out, my mech got
- 1:10:51Speaker 5: like bumped up to like John Wick levels of gunnery
- 1:10:56Speaker 5: and piloting and was just like could I mean.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: There were brons I think the hardest.
- 1:11:05Speaker 4: To the head.
- 1:11:06Speaker 5: Uh No, I was not taking cold shots, but like
- 1:11:09Speaker 5: my hardest role I think all night long was a five,
- 1:11:12Speaker 5: and like there was a round where I needed zeros
- 1:11:16Speaker 5: and twos to hit things after I had knocked a
- 1:11:20Speaker 5: mech down on the on the ground prone next to me.
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: So uh, per frame of reference, you were all two
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: D six basically meaning there's no way he could.
- 1:11:28Speaker 5: Miss no like it was basically, no, twos are still
- 1:11:35Speaker 5: a hit.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: I thought were still a guarantee. There's there's still critical hits.
- 1:11:42Speaker 5: There's no critical misses in that game. Okay, So so yeah,
- 1:11:47Speaker 5: so it's a good time.
- 1:11:48Speaker 2: It was a good time.
- 1:11:49Speaker 5: I went home with uh uh the one I sing
- 1:11:53Speaker 5: about the event you go home with a with a
- 1:11:56Speaker 5: mech mine had been expertly painted by a camel speck
- 1:12:01Speaker 5: artist by the name of cracker Box.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:12:05Speaker 5: The figure I got was actually a prototype, so that
- 1:12:08Speaker 5: was pretty cool.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:12:13Speaker 3: The guy who walked on with the best prize out
- 1:12:15Speaker 3: of all of us in that car was a guy
- 1:12:17Speaker 3: not playing Keyfordge.
- 1:12:20Speaker 4: Accurate.
- 1:12:22Speaker 5: I feel like I won by not playing KeyForge.
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: No true.
- 1:12:29Speaker 4: Okay, so the number I'm all by yourself, not hanging
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: out with the cool kids.
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: So you did, and.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: You did.
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: Enjoyed the scooter Biker Gang.
- 1:12:39Speaker 2: Well even outside of that, Even outside of the Scooter
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: Biker Gang, I had fun going ahead, and even though
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: I went two seals, I still had fun talking to
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: people playing KeyForge Friday for ark and I had fun
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: even with the numbers down. I enjoy the key Forde crowd.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: That's there. I enjoyed being able to play board games
- 1:12:59Speaker 2: over the jaw, like I had fun this past weekend. Boys,
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: So I don't know. I can't go ahead and say
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: it was all let me reach.
- 1:13:07Speaker 5: I probably had more fun not playing key Forge than
- 1:13:11Speaker 5: somebody else that day.
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: Well that day, I agree with so sheep, let's talk
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: about your sadness. So I get knocked out, and there
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: was a little bit of a problem because numbers. So
- 1:13:26Speaker 2: give us a little backstory and then where you jump
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: in after both dragon Master and I get knocked out.
- 1:13:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so there is round whatever, five, four, five.
- 1:13:39Speaker 2: Yeah, round five. I had just I just lost the
- 1:13:41Speaker 2: Aviator in round five.
- 1:13:43Speaker 4: Okay, so there's round five and there are five of
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: us left. There's myself, there's e Walk, Aviator, dragon Master.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Oh, that would be seven at that point I thought
- 1:13:56Speaker 2: there was five.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: At that they got to the point there was five.
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: Drive after five. At this point you're going in, Yes, yes,
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: there's five of them. It's Aviator and you and then
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: Ali was playing Jdge and I had the buy. So
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: at this point in the tournament, I get one of
- 1:14:19Speaker 4: the luckiest buys you can have because I'm just getting
- 1:14:24Speaker 4: a free pass into the top four which is better
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: prizes and I don't even have to play. This also
- 1:14:30Speaker 4: happened for top eight. Somebody got a free pass in
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: the top eight. This also happened in ARCon where somebody
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: just got to buy into the prizing grounds there too,
- 1:14:41Speaker 4: which to me seems wrong, not great right to be like, yeah,
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: randomly you get prizes and the rest of you. Now,
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: you know, that's why the top cut is supposed to
- 1:14:52Speaker 4: be a hard cut and everybody's supposed to play to
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: get in. And they got rid of the you know,
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: the medior from space eliminating people, and it's always playing
- 1:15:02Speaker 4: rounds now for top cuts. But that doesn't happen when
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: there's When there's prizes, but the top cut doesn't match
- 1:15:12Speaker 4: the number of prizes, it gets kind of messy. So
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: I get a bye into top four. Ah or watching,
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: We're watching what's going on. Dragon Master is not a
- 1:15:25Speaker 4: good match into JDG. She is not playing a deck
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: with artifact control. They have routes, they had thought about
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: this game. There there is a way she can win it,
- 1:15:35Speaker 4: but it's it's not a very favorite match. So I'm
- 1:15:38Speaker 4: they're talking to GG staff and I'm like, so this
- 1:15:44Speaker 4: is now going to play out. The way this plays
- 1:15:46Speaker 4: out is in theory. You know, until the games are over,
- 1:15:50Speaker 4: it's not a JDG is probably gonna win, and then
- 1:15:55Speaker 4: either Aviator or Ewok wins. It's messy if E wins,
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: because then both Walk and I have had a buye.
- 1:16:06Speaker 4: So we're not actually fully certain what happens in their
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: system in that situation. Supposedly it just goes to random buy.
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: Well, i'd also played all three other players at that point.
- 1:16:17Speaker 4: That also does.
- 1:16:19Speaker 3: But if you're undefeated in their system, you cannot get
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: a bye except in the first round.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: That is not true.
- 1:16:27Speaker 3: That's how it's currently coded. You.
- 1:16:30Speaker 4: You are wrong what you're saying, Wikie, Okay, sorry, I
- 1:16:33Speaker 4: will explain. I will explain what they did and they
- 1:16:35Speaker 4: did not. It's not a buye. They changed the top cup, correct,
- 1:16:40Speaker 4: which is not. What I was told is that they
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: have a contingency. Because this does affect me too, and
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: we'll get into that a little bit. What I was
- 1:16:51Speaker 4: told is the contingency is that the undefeated gets the
- 1:16:54Speaker 4: buye and the two lesser seeds are now pitted against
- 1:16:58Speaker 4: each other.
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's a top cut.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: That's not call it call it by call it a
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: top cut, call it what you want to call it.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: The sad reality is Wookie that we were told we
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: were going to play, with our early understanding to essentially
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: the top two. This now becomes almost impossible with what's there.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: We were told weeks ago we were going to be
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: playing till a top.
- 1:17:22Speaker 2: The top eight, correct, and that was my understanding coming
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: into gen Con, which made it a real pain that
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: if you made more than one top eight you had
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: to basically choose, but that changed again. No, and this
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: is this is my frustration and was other individuals as well,
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: that we have to clearly communicate what's going to happen. Oh,
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: it should also be a clear communication of what prizes
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: are available and then we should follow through with that.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: Yes, okay, thank you, cause that didnt communicate clearly. But
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: if you don't follow through, what was the point of
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: the communication, Well.
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: It's and I'm I mean I can show my frustration here.
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: It really had very little impact because I lost. It
- 1:18:06Speaker 2: had an impact because they didn't know where to actually
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: see me or where to put Ali and myself at
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: the end. That's a whole nother story. But sheep, this
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: is worlds. This is World's again and I actually just
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: re listened to the episode, the recast with Sydney, you
- 1:18:23Speaker 2: and Wookie after we got back from Worlds and you're
- 1:18:29Speaker 2: talking about how this would be fixed and we were
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: hoping for that, and man, we're nine months later and
- 1:18:35Speaker 2: it's not fixed. This this is a train wreck and
- 1:18:39Speaker 2: a half because you can see, you can see exactly
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: what's going to happen. My deck is not paired to
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: deal with Frog Legs deck. Allie's deck was not paired
- 1:18:49Speaker 2: to deal with JDG. JDG ends up finishing undefeated because
- 1:18:54Speaker 2: JGG did not end up facing JDG did not face
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: you Sheep correct.
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: Correct, and.
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: So that that has it has an impact anyway, it's
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: it's real bad. You got three individuals? What what?
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: What?
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: What is GG? Because GG then goes ahead. From my perspective,
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: they talk to each person sept well, they talk to
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: judging first. Then they want ahead and talk to each
- 1:19:27Speaker 2: of the three people who are still left between Aviator,
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: between Sheep and between JDG. I'm going to tell you,
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: as someone who is looking for transparency, man, bring the
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: three of them together and your judging staff. Judging staff
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: was a great call. Talk to him first, but after that,
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: bring judging staff and the three of them over. Hey,
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: here's what's happening. Make a decision. It's bad, but be clear,
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: concise what's going to happen, and make sure everyone's on
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: the same page at that point. But GEEP tell us
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: what happened.
- 1:20:03Speaker 4: Okay, So they so like, what's going on at this
- 1:20:06Speaker 4: point in the tournament with three of us left is
- 1:20:09Speaker 4: I just had a buy so Aviator had not had
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: a buy. So because we were totally supposed to be
- 1:20:15Speaker 4: too l o Out, the way their program would have
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: worked is I would have played JDG. I am I
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: think reasonably favored in that game, So say I win it,
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: then Jdg's in the X one bracket, so he gets
- 1:20:28Speaker 4: the BUYE. Then I have to play Aviator and JDG
- 1:20:32Speaker 4: essentially is getting a buy into the final two in
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: that case. So I'm not actually all that upset with
- 1:20:39Speaker 4: they changed. They're like, you know what, we're down to three.
- 1:20:42Speaker 4: Instead of playing too l o Out anymore, we're just
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: gonna go to top cut now, JDG are in you
- 1:20:48Speaker 4: two guys playing right, which not what we were totally playing.
- 1:20:52Speaker 4: I think, and this particular situation, it works out very similarly,
- 1:20:59Speaker 4: but it is what it is. But like you was saying,
- 1:21:03Speaker 4: they pull us each to the side privately, right, So
- 1:21:06Speaker 4: it's me, it's Jeremy, it's Josh, it's Marcus, and it's
- 1:21:09Speaker 4: g right. And they're basically asking me, what am I
- 1:21:12Speaker 4: gonna do if if I win this Alliance game because
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: I'm qualified and sealed an Alliance. And I tell them,
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: I'm like, well, what I want to have happened is
- 1:21:20Speaker 4: I want to go win this sealed.
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: No, I was on ARCon, You're on an ARCon. Okay,
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: I'm the top.
- 1:21:27Speaker 4: I was fifth in Arkan.
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:21:28Speaker 4: So I told them, well, what I want to have
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: happened is i want to win this Alliance game and
- 1:21:34Speaker 4: then I'll just concede to the other person, right, take
- 1:21:41Speaker 4: that invite and go play and sealed. And they're just
- 1:21:44Speaker 4: kind of looking at me and they're not saying okay,
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: They're like, what are you gonna do if you have
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: to pick? And I'm like, well, if I have to
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: pick and I win Alliance, then I'm just gonna play
- 1:21:54Speaker 4: Alliance and take the guaranteed invite. It's not what I
- 1:21:56Speaker 4: want to do, but I'm like, if if I have
- 1:21:58Speaker 4: to pick one and I win Alliance, which I hadn't
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: done yet at that point, and I'm like, I would
- 1:22:03Speaker 4: take the guaranteed invite if I could only do one thing, right,
- 1:22:06Speaker 4: And they're like, oh hey, and then we break apart,
- 1:22:10Speaker 4: and I'm like, I'm leaving this little conference under the
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: assumption that I still can only play in one event
- 1:22:16Speaker 4: on Sunday. Right. They definitely did not tell me, yes,
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: you can concede you could in theory, because I asked,
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: specifically asked, can I go for qualifications in both? And
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: they didn't actually say yes or no. They were just
- 1:22:30Speaker 4: kind of cagy and said, what are you gonna do
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: if we force you to pick? So I took that
- 1:22:37Speaker 4: as you're only gonna play in one because I asked
- 1:22:41Speaker 4: the question and I didn't get an answer. And the
- 1:22:43Speaker 4: answer I'm going off of is still the one that
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: Josh gave us when everybody was asking him when after
- 1:22:49Speaker 4: the event was announced. It's like, what happens when you
- 1:22:51Speaker 4: qualify for multiple and it was a clear answer, you
- 1:22:54Speaker 4: can play in a single event on Sunday. So that's
- 1:22:58Speaker 4: the assumption I'm going in with. So they change it
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: the top cut, so I'm playing Aviator immediately. This is fine,
- 1:23:06Speaker 4: But what is also going in my head here is
- 1:23:09Speaker 4: if Aviator wins this Alliance game, right, he is going
- 1:23:14Speaker 4: to stick with Alliance because he's an Alliance player mostly,
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: and then he doesn't play and Sealed, where I am
- 1:23:20Speaker 4: also bracketed, and because of the way the brackets work,
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: and we already played the day before, we also actually
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: know Aviator is paired against Wookie for arc On Finals,
- 1:23:30Speaker 4: so if he wins, it's generally good for me. And
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: if I win, Okay, I have the Alliance win and
- 1:23:36Speaker 4: it's okay, right if you watch that game, I'm not
- 1:23:41Speaker 4: very serious from the minute we sit down, right, I'm
- 1:23:45Speaker 4: clouding for the camera. I'm goofing off because the results
- 1:23:48Speaker 4: really don't matter. I'm already guaranteed to be able to play,
- 1:23:51Speaker 4: and Sealed Alliance is just a fat for me anyways,
- 1:23:55Speaker 4: right it is. So we start the game we're playing,
- 1:24:01Speaker 4: and I pull an epic punt where I forget the
- 1:24:04Speaker 4: EMP blast before I played my first key Abduction. Well,
- 1:24:06Speaker 4: he has c sforge out and and then the deck
- 1:24:09Speaker 4: fails to loop to key Abduction four time. Still let
- 1:24:14Speaker 4: me win that game. It then goes to his turn
- 1:24:16Speaker 4: and Aviators playing out his loop out turn, and he
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: goes and he wastes not onto his mushroom Man and
- 1:24:26Speaker 4: draws cards right, and he draws man's eight power nine.
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: Three three each unforged t.
- 1:24:36Speaker 4: He's drawn five cards or something. He starts drawing, he's
- 1:24:40Speaker 4: moving him into his hand, and then Marcus realized, and
- 1:24:43Speaker 4: it was Marcus. Neither of us realized. Marcus realizes, hey,
- 1:24:46Speaker 4: you just forge a key. The mushroom Man isn't that strong.
- 1:24:48Speaker 4: You shouldn't draw that many cards. And then Marcus like, well,
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: I think it's these cards. And he's just picking some
- 1:24:54Speaker 4: cards from his hand, and then they're kind of looking
- 1:24:56Speaker 4: at me like, well, what are we gonna do because
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: there are currently no action rules for overdraw, And I
- 1:25:02Speaker 4: was just like fine, I took the cards that he overdrew.
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: I shuffled hm, I threw him back out of his deck,
- 1:25:06Speaker 4: and I said, just draw the right number of cards
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: because I don't care about the results of this game
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: at all. And then he finishes this loop out the
- 1:25:14Speaker 4: DT deck does the DT deck. He forges the rest
- 1:25:17Speaker 4: of his keys, and he wins the game that turn,
- 1:25:21Speaker 4: which is fine, right, I punted. He played his turn
- 1:25:24Speaker 4: well and won like, I'm that upset with the game
- 1:25:29Speaker 4: in that regard. And then so we're finishing, I'm like, so, Aviator,
- 1:25:32Speaker 4: what are you gonna do? And he's like, well, I'm
- 1:25:34Speaker 4: gonna concede alliance, get that invite and play and sealed,
- 1:25:37Speaker 4: and I I lost it. I was really really angry
- 1:25:44Speaker 4: because I asked the question if that was alliable and
- 1:25:47Speaker 4: they they didn't say no, but they didn't say yes.
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: So I'm playing under totally different expectations of the results.
- 1:25:57Speaker 4: So what's actually gonna happen? And I don't know. I
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: can't say if I actually sat down in that game serious.
- 1:26:03Speaker 4: It doesn't mean I don't miss that because I actually
- 1:26:05Speaker 4: missed them. People asked earlier that day too, so that
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: wasn't in my head well that day. But I don't
- 1:26:10Speaker 4: know if I was sitting down serious at that game,
- 1:26:13Speaker 4: if I didn't play it better, because otherwise had I not,
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: if I used the MP blast I won that game
- 1:26:18Speaker 4: because they did play key Abduction three times that term,
- 1:26:21Speaker 4: all of them four keys, but.
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: Right, so the first one.
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: But my mindset is critical, which I was not sitting
- 1:26:30Speaker 4: to that game with a super serious mindset, and I
- 1:26:33Speaker 4: punted it. And that's the end of it. But then
- 1:26:35Speaker 4: when like Aviator is playing under different expectations that I'm
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: playing under in an event that has already changed how
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: it's being run three times just for that event, you
- 1:26:49Speaker 4: were gonna run top eight. No we're not. We're gonna
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: run too all. Oh, no we're not. We're gonna change
- 1:26:53Speaker 4: to a weird top cut thing at the end of
- 1:26:56Speaker 4: the event. It's just like, are you kidding me?
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: And then part of the reason Sheep that they had
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: to go ahead and run that is that after one round,
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: I know they had twelve.
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: Players that they had all bad decisions. I understand they
- 1:27:15Speaker 4: didn't have good decisions, but like, this isn't the first
- 1:27:18Speaker 4: time they run a crappy tiny tournament count wise, right,
- 1:27:22Speaker 4: crappy in regards to our turnout. Our turnout was bad
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: for Alliance, right, this is the first time they've done
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: that and had to deal with these problems. This is
- 1:27:30Speaker 4: also not the first time they've tried to run things
- 1:27:33Speaker 4: where people can cross qualify and they have to deal
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: with that, and they still were not ready to deal
- 1:27:38Speaker 4: with any of those problems, even though we've had them
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: it almost every Voltimer.
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: I agree with that. The two l O just does
- 1:27:45Speaker 2: not work with a small player count, and they have
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: to learn from this they have tracked.
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: But then it gets even dumber in the situation because
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: this now in past Sunday's play because Aviator does get
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: to sort of conceit alliance but not really conceited alliance.
- 1:28:06Speaker 4: I don't know. He gets to play and sealed the
- 1:28:08Speaker 4: next day, right, and then he's dropping out of Arcons.
- 1:28:13Speaker 4: So how does that impact Ark? Because Arcon's top four,
- 1:28:17Speaker 4: they have four players. It's undefeated grish Hammer versus the
- 1:28:22Speaker 4: scholar Spam Sorry I don't remember your name. And then
- 1:28:28Speaker 4: it's undefeated Aviator versus Wookie. That is the bracket, right,
- 1:28:34Speaker 4: So there's no the way the bracket is supposed to
- 1:28:37Speaker 4: work with the top four cut is there's no guarantee
- 1:28:39Speaker 4: anybody gets a World's invite. But what did they do instead? Wookie?
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: So Josh comes to me. So we're sitting there all
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: figuring it out. Josh comes to me and he's kinda
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: I'm chewing the fat and he's like, all right, well
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: we do. I am here to tell you that you
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: do need to play, and I am playing. I believe
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: it was the scholar Spam deck. So Basically, what I
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: was told is the contingency in this moment, for in
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: the event that this happens, is that the undefeated gets
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: what are we calling we're going into this contingency. I'm
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: still gonna call it to buy. The undefeated gets.
- 1:29:25Speaker 4: The buy, they get pushed to the top cup, right,
- 1:29:28Speaker 4: and the two and the two with a loss have
- 1:29:32Speaker 4: to play. And I kind of was like, I know,
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: so in in the my situation, it was kind of
- 1:29:41Speaker 4: a crappy mess, and I don't think it really impacts
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: the final results that much. But in your situation, they
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: played to a top four with clear expectations was to happen.
- 1:29:51Speaker 4: And then the organizers changed the the event to decide
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: who gets a free World's invite. By them changing it,
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: they are picking who gets the World's invite, which is
- 1:30:06Speaker 4: not how tournaments are both to work. The organizers should
- 1:30:08Speaker 4: not be making decisions that impact the results of the
- 1:30:12Speaker 4: event in that way. Right, Like the players are going
- 1:30:16Speaker 4: to do things, they're going to wreck your tournament, and
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: the players have to deal with what they did. But
- 1:30:21Speaker 4: for the organizers to go in and be like, well,
- 1:30:23Speaker 4: now we're just gonna grant this guy the free in
- 1:30:25Speaker 4: and you guys have to play, even though that it
- 1:30:27Speaker 4: was not what was on the paper, divine, the whole
- 1:30:30Speaker 4: weekend is garbage.
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: Oh we also found out that unlike Vaults, where only
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: the top player makes it in for all nationals, one
- 1:30:41Speaker 2: and to make it in, which is why this matters
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: even more. So, Yeah, have fun there. Yeah, I mean.
- 1:30:53Speaker 4: I said they said on that one. For both of
- 1:30:56Speaker 4: those are like, you two are guaranteed top cutting to
- 1:31:01Speaker 4: World's invite and you don't even have to play for it.
- 1:31:04Speaker 4: You're just here there, you go, you have earned the
- 1:31:05Speaker 4: world invite because we didn't format our event in a
- 1:31:11Speaker 4: way that actually makes you play do it. It is
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: just it was just beyond unreasonable and in my opinion
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: right like the Yeah, clearly, I was pretty upset because
- 1:31:30Speaker 4: again I feel like this is like I went to
- 1:31:33Speaker 4: Vegas ran okay, Texas actually ran okay this year, but
- 1:31:36Speaker 4: I feel like every Vault tour I went to last
- 1:31:38Speaker 4: year I came back being like, oh my gosh, this
- 1:31:41Speaker 4: was run in a way that did not being adequate
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: or correct, and obviously, coming out of Worlds, I very
- 1:31:50Speaker 4: much had that feeling that they they punted that event
- 1:31:55Speaker 4: for making it understandable and clean. So this event was
- 1:32:00Speaker 4: by far the worst I've been to.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: So unfortunately they didn't clean up the problem from nine
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: months ago and then number two. This is a very
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: expensive event, which is why multiple players who normally would
- 1:32:13Speaker 2: be coming out for the vaults simply said no, we're
- 1:32:16Speaker 2: not willing to invest the money. There were individuals who
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: actually stopped by to say hi to KeyForge players, but
- 1:32:22Speaker 2: are like, I'm playing in other events versus what you
- 1:32:26Speaker 2: actually see here, I have to say go ahead.
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: There were players who also stopped by and were saying
- 1:32:33Speaker 4: I didn't play this because they didn't want to play
- 1:32:37Speaker 4: double elimination like it was last year. So they have
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: also failed to communicate to get out the information meaningfully
- 1:32:44Speaker 4: to pair players that were not playing under the bad,
- 1:32:47Speaker 4: the truly bad double elimination system, and now we're just
- 1:32:50Speaker 4: under the interestingly bad at small player count to L system.
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: I hear that. I'm still worry guys. We have twenty
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: six for Arkhon that's the lowest player amount that I've
- 1:33:05Speaker 2: ever seen, thirteen for Alliance. Like this, this was not
- 1:33:08Speaker 2: good and Sheep, I mean you went into.
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: One holds. Let's talk about that here. In two seconds,
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: we're going to take a tiny, tiny break. Okay, you
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: in that corner.
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: Here go all.
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: Right, we're back, go go ahead, So we're we're all right.
- 1:33:29Speaker 2: So Sheep, Uh the look on your face at this
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: point seeing everything implode one I hadn't sent Sheep into
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: sadness that I had not seen since World Were last year,
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: and it was not good. I tried to talk, just
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: to be able to have a conversation with some of
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: the GG players, GG employees and other players. Almost there,
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: Oh dude, you gave me a look that if you
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: could have like chill force choked me, you were forced
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: choking me across that lot and you took off, and
- 1:34:05Speaker 2: then I'm like, oh.
- 1:34:07Speaker 4: If you're gonna keep wasting time? Like the problem is
- 1:34:10Speaker 4: is you were having the same conversation we'd already had,
- 1:34:14Speaker 4: and like this is another place I'm telling you. I
- 1:34:16Speaker 4: think what really triggered me on this is this was
- 1:34:19Speaker 4: just like being at work where I was like, you
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: do see what's going to happen here, and they go, no,
- 1:34:24Speaker 4: everything's gonna be great. We're gonna ignore all these problems.
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: And then it happens exactly as you described it's going
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: to happen. And then you're just like watching the mess
- 1:34:33Speaker 4: and you're just like and they're just like everything's fun,
- 1:34:36Speaker 4: and you're like, this is not fun.
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: The biggest problem that I know this is the same
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: thing that literally happened in November. We've had all this
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: time to fix this problem, and we just went, well,
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: that'll never happen again. Yeah, and then it happens again.
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: Speaking of the app, did work for the most part
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: throughout the tournament. The three tournaments. They did have a
- 1:34:59Speaker 2: couple of They did have a couple start of our Con,
- 1:35:03Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. They did have some glitches, so
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: I know our Con was one of those, but overall,
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: no major issues. I will say playing.
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: Crash, they weren't were familiar enough to know where to
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: go to fix it. Once they called Francisco, then they're like, oh,
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: it's this button in this sun Okay, done.
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: Got no comments.
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: Yeah, no comment or to six weeks. But we have
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: we don't have that many players. We need to be
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: able to slim up the registration time. We need to
- 1:35:37Speaker 2: get to playing. We need to be able to know
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: that with a small player account, that it's not going
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: to implode when we get to the finals. As I said, earlier.
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: You cannot go ahead and have a top eight cuts
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: with thirteen players just with the two l Oh, it
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: really Rex, No.
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: It takes two. It takes three rounds, and we could
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: have had a topic.
- 1:36:00Speaker 2: Yep, Okay, I did not.
- 1:36:05Speaker 4: Actually going to going to a top eight cut with
- 1:36:08Speaker 4: thirteen players is actually faster than playing out too well oh,
- 1:36:12Speaker 4: because after three rounds you should be to eight players
- 1:36:14Speaker 4: I think, right, because you're thirteen, so then you're gonna
- 1:36:18Speaker 4: drop six, and then you're gonna have three. Just you're
- 1:36:21Speaker 4: gonna have three, so then you're down to ten. At
- 1:36:23Speaker 4: least four of those players are X and one, so
- 1:36:26Speaker 4: the bottom floor have to play. Bam, you're the top eight.
- 1:36:29Speaker 4: Three more rounds done.
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: But that's what you're talking those two.
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: Yeah, so I guess.
- 1:36:35Speaker 4: It's about this. It ends up being about the same
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: number of rounds as we ran.
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: But O, the big the biggest problem is still Sunday,
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: Like you still have players that have that debt have
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: are gonna make top eight and all three and that
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: they got to make a choice on what they're gonna
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: play in.
- 1:36:51Speaker 2: Well, I can go ahead and say congrats to the
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: Aviator and Doctor Sheep for making top eight in all
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: three events. So way to go, guys.
- 1:36:57Speaker 4: Repeat, we really messed this up.
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: Made top cut in all of them too, top four
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: in top two.
- 1:37:05Speaker 2: Yeah, she you're just second.
- 1:37:07Speaker 4: Well and then the crazy thing. And I don't know
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: how they actually prized it in the end or what
- 1:37:11Speaker 4: the article is gonna say, but prizing after Aviator went
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: out and sealed, they let them play the Alliance finals. Yeah,
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: like so not only after being told you can only
- 1:37:24Speaker 4: play one, then they actually let them play both.
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: Well, I know that you're upset about this. Hell, I
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: know you're upset about this, but I am frankly appreciative
- 1:37:35Speaker 2: that they played out that's game because the top game.
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: Because frankly, to have to have to have a finals,
- 1:37:44Speaker 2: to have a finals where you didn't play is just pathetic.
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: And I will say that also.
- 1:37:49Speaker 4: Don't know through but like message sent actions performed deviations.
- 1:37:58Speaker 2: Just yes, all right, so we're on Sunday. But here
- 1:38:03Speaker 2: sheep sadness really was sheep depression. I'm gonna go ahead
- 1:38:06Speaker 2: and put this man. You were you were off.
- 1:38:10Speaker 4: Done with everything, and everybody.
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: Okay, so I went we we did go through the hall.
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: I don't know where, dude, you've vanished, Sheep. I don't
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: know where you went.
- 1:38:21Speaker 3: I reached you. No, no.
- 1:38:26Speaker 4: Dog though, drop off freaking Steve's giant map.
- 1:38:32Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but scooter.
- 1:38:36Speaker 4: Scooter halfway across the country with a six foot long tube.
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: But I forgot about the big fucking map.
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: It was a.
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: Actually, if you see it laid out, that's really nice.
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: Trust this Matt Boys and Girls does not actually fit
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: across Sheep's trunk, just being parallel. We had to actually
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: turn it and a diagonal to fit it in. It
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: was that big.
- 1:39:03Speaker 1: It's a.
- 1:39:05Speaker 2: It was a BFM.
- 1:39:06Speaker 4: It's my sixth Matt, but they roll it the six
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: foot way. I think it's weird.
- 1:39:12Speaker 1: Yeah, But anyway, she ended alone and I don't even
- 1:39:16Speaker 1: I was like, man, how did we end up alone?
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: So so we wookie you and I go back to
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: the hall and Sheep is gone. We message him. I'm
- 1:39:24Speaker 2: actually kind of worried.
- 1:39:25Speaker 4: I'm not bothering to reply to you guys.
- 1:39:27Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, he he he would not respond.
- 1:39:29Speaker 2: I mean, I'm telling you, if he could force choke me,
- 1:39:31Speaker 2: he would have. I would have been dead, just deadded dead,
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: dead dead.
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: If he cared enough, he might have really choked you.
- 1:39:38Speaker 1: But you were at least thirty.
- 1:39:41Speaker 2: Yeah, So after talking with the employees, we come out.
- 1:39:45Speaker 2: It is like four thirty and we're like, we're going
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: to hit the twenty eight hundreds all the way to
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: the east side.
- 1:39:52Speaker 4: I'm not on the nine to three pm event.
- 1:39:55Speaker 2: Yes, a nine to three. It's four thirty again. And
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: in this this did impact. Like I know, Eric Waters
- 1:40:02Speaker 2: at least had to drop. There were other individuals that
- 1:40:04Speaker 2: had to drop from different events. This was arkhon but
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: a time's got to mean something, especially at john Conn
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: when there's other things.
- 1:40:11Speaker 4: I knew enough not to schedule anything else.
- 1:40:14Speaker 2: Yeah, but anyway, Wookie, you and I we're going to
- 1:40:18Speaker 2: head back. We are, we're in the hall, we hit
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: the little boys room. We come out and we're in
- 1:40:25Speaker 2: the back and Sheep is depressed. Sheep we don't know
- 1:40:30Speaker 2: where he is. We're trying to find him. I'm also
- 1:40:33Speaker 2: You're like, hey, I really want this game. So I
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: bring out my phone and things get like little.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: I couldn't remember the name of the game. So we're
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: in the back and I'm like, I think it's this,
- 1:40:46Speaker 1: Maybe it's this. I still don't remember the name of
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: the game. If I told my wife she would remember,
- 1:40:53Speaker 1: but you couldn't buy it anyways.
- 1:40:54Speaker 3: So the name of the game is Squat Springs out
- 1:40:58Speaker 3: the Crazies.
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: No, no, no, it was it was. It was least on
- 1:41:01Speaker 2: the TV show.
- 1:41:02Speaker 1: Murder, Only murderers in here.
- 1:41:05Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, something like that.
- 1:41:08Speaker 1: Okay, yes, only murderer is in the building. That's exactly
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: what it was. You couldn't buy it there. You had
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: to hide on Amazon. And I was like, that's dumb,
- 1:41:18Speaker 1: but it is what it is. So we're on our
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: phones and I feel someone touching me, and when you're
- 1:41:26Speaker 1: in a crowd of people, it's not overly strange. But
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: then again, we're in the back of the hall where
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: like I'm just gonna go ahead and say, this is
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: where the losers hang out, right like this?
- 1:41:39Speaker 2: No, no, no, this was not the losers. And I
- 1:41:43Speaker 2: will I will tell you. Long before you actually got tapped,
- 1:41:47Speaker 2: there were two individuals who were over on the side,
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: who were at a distance, probably about eight to ten feet.
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: Away, but they were seen.
- 1:41:59Speaker 2: They were was wokie? They waited back it up.
- 1:42:05Speaker 5: Did somebody mention what he was wearing that day?
- 1:42:08Speaker 1: We have not mentioned the Sasquatch in a pink flamingo floaty,
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: that's what I'm wearing.
- 1:42:15Speaker 2: And what did you say about this sweet, sweet Hawaiian shirt?
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: So when I came out, she immediately made fun of me,
- 1:42:22Speaker 1: because that's what she does.
- 1:42:24Speaker 4: I got make fun of you.
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: He was always making fun of you.
- 1:42:27Speaker 1: He had made a comment. Okay, whether he was making
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: fun or not, well, you would have done that. He
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: had made a comment. And I said, listen, this shirt
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: gets the bitches. This this is at nine to thirty.
- 1:42:43Speaker 1: What this is before that? We're still in the morning.
- 1:42:47Speaker 1: The morning.
- 1:42:51Speaker 3: So yes, somebody too bright for that early in the morning.
- 1:42:53Speaker 3: That's all I know.
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: Somebody is now touching me at a convention. And it
- 1:42:59Speaker 1: wasn't me, wasn't she. I turned to find a young
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: lady in a Ghostbuster's costume and she says, I really
- 1:43:09Speaker 1: like your shirt. What was it? I really like your shirt.
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: It reminds me of my dad because he's a big
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: hairy man. Can I take a picture? And I'm like, okay, yeah, sure,
- 1:43:24Speaker 1: go ahead. So she snaps a picture and then her
- 1:43:28Speaker 1: friend that is with her also in some sort of cosplay.
- 1:43:32Speaker 2: She was Japanese anime like.
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: Some Kwi Yeah yes, and she's like, oh, I like
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: pink too, because Ewok is wearing his pink ac jersey.
- 1:43:45Speaker 1: She's like, as you can see and all she has
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: is a pink purse, and I'm like.
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: It kind of like flips it up right.
- 1:43:53Speaker 1: Like oh see, and flips it and shows shows shows
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: jair of that. Yes, her purse is indeed pink, and
- 1:44:03Speaker 1: at this point in time, I think nothing of it.
- 1:44:05Speaker 1: I'm just like, well, that was a weird interaction.
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: It was. It was weird, and we brush it off
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: and we go tour the rest of the hall.
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: We go tour the rest of the hall. Finally find sheep.
- 1:44:18Speaker 1: Is that when we picked up home Wreckers what is
- 1:44:21Speaker 1: it called Shipwreckers?
- 1:44:23Speaker 3: No Moonrakers?
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: That was close.
- 1:44:29Speaker 2: Yeah, we ended we ended up going ahead and kind
- 1:44:31Speaker 2: of sneaking over where Moonrakers was. We asked, John, you
- 1:44:36Speaker 2: had actually told us kind of the rules. I said,
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: I want to play this like a hand going through
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: and so we waited and they showed us the rules
- 1:44:44Speaker 2: and then we ended up playing a hand. And this
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: is just as six o'clock is coming up on Saturday.
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: So we finally all come together. We have found our sheep.
- 1:44:58Speaker 2: He's in the corner of the Jada be married.
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: I know before that I'm trying to find.
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: Oh no, I was talking to my buddy Eric, who
- 1:45:06Speaker 2: placed Mac Warrior, and so I like, you know, trying
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: to be able to help encourage, and I was gone
- 1:45:14Speaker 2: for probably an hour. So that's where you probably ended up.
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: Yeah somehow, Yeah, that is exactly how it was, because
- 1:45:20Speaker 1: you were still there and Sheep's like basically goes, fuck this,
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: I'm going to the jw are you coming or no?
- 1:45:28Speaker 1: And I'm like, yeah, I'll come. So we walk over,
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: we take the little walkways over and Sheep immediately just
- 1:45:38Speaker 1: goes to the corner and just sits there, just not
- 1:45:42Speaker 1: does not want to talk to anyone.
- 1:45:45Speaker 2: Oh yes, game, yes. So as soon as we had
- 1:45:50Speaker 2: gotten Moonraker, Sheep came over. He didn't find us, but
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: he found us with his doggie dog Park.
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: Dog Park came.
- 1:45:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I went for some retail therapy that works, dame
- 1:46:01Speaker 4: with pictures of puppies, make myself feel better.
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: Did it help?
- 1:46:07Speaker 4: Didn't hurt?
- 1:46:09Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 1:46:11Speaker 1: Either way, Sheep Sheep does not having any of the
- 1:46:14Speaker 1: good party time that we're going to have.
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: Oh no, Sheep Sheep sad depressed.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: Sheep man man, this this was all all a thing,
- 1:46:25Speaker 1: because Sheep's now like, I'm going back to the campsite,
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: and I was like, yep. He's like, I'm going back
- 1:46:32Speaker 1: to the campsite. I don't I don't want to do anything.
- 1:46:35Speaker 1: I don't want to be with people. I don't want
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: to see any of you going back to the campsite.
- 1:46:39Speaker 2: And it's Sheep's car, so he flips me the keys
- 1:46:42Speaker 2: and says, I'll take into uber O. Do whatever. You
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: get them home because we're waiting for Steve, who is
- 1:46:48Speaker 2: going to be playing an event until midnight, midnight night.
- 1:46:52Speaker 4: I definitely did not have the social energy in me
- 1:46:55Speaker 4: to deal with people until midnight.
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: So this point, I'm like, what should I do? And
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: I'm talking to I think I'm talking to Sydney. I'm
- 1:47:04Speaker 1: talking to JR. One's telling me that he's he's a
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: big boy, he can handle himself. The other is telling me, ah,
- 1:47:12Speaker 1: you know, and I'm like, you know what, I'm I'm
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: going to do the good friend thing. I'll go hang
- 1:47:16Speaker 1: out with him within his puppy game.
- 1:47:20Speaker 2: Dude, he did not want any of us there. I was.
- 1:47:24Speaker 3: I got the memoir. I was like, I don't like people.
- 1:47:27Speaker 3: I don't like people. Talking to me or being around me.
- 1:47:30Speaker 3: I'm leaving, He's.
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: Like, don't you come with me. I will get home
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: and you're gonna you're fine. You just stay here like ane,
- 1:47:39Speaker 2: even when it's leaving at all.
- 1:47:40Speaker 1: Yeah, I was like, you know, I'll just use the
- 1:47:42Speaker 1: excuse of like I'm hungry because I hadn't eaten yet,
- 1:47:45Speaker 1: and well I need to find food. And so we
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: all scooter back to the car.
- 1:47:51Speaker 2: The best scooter ride of the whole weekend. I'm telling you,
- 1:47:54Speaker 2: I'm hitting a scooter next time I met gen Con
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: if I go.
- 1:47:57Speaker 1: I told him that's the way to go, because that
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: was that was pretty awesome. I knocked down a road sign.
- 1:48:04Speaker 1: It hurt.
- 1:48:04Speaker 2: We were we were flying as a scooter gang, the
- 1:48:07Speaker 2: three of us. True fact, I'm a faster scooter than
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: all of these two mm that's the.
- 1:48:14Speaker 4: Bable outweigh you significantly, yep.
- 1:48:18Speaker 2: And that's what I hear is that you're slower than
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: my scootering ality.
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: And all of our scooters are at different levels of charge.
- 1:48:28Speaker 2: You know, all of these excuses, but I ended up
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: making it back. First, I did run into Sheep at
- 1:48:35Speaker 2: the very end because he abruptly stopped and I abruptly
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: stopped into him.
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: Mine didn't have any breaks, so I almost get someone.
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: It was a great time.
- 1:48:49Speaker 1: So we get We go all the way back to
- 1:48:52Speaker 1: the campsite, and Sheep's basically basically just goes fuck off,
- 1:48:55Speaker 1: like get out of here. I want to be. At
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: that point, I'm like, okay, he really wants to walk.
- 1:49:00Speaker 4: I had made myself perfectly clear from the start.
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: I tried to encourage him that we could get food,
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: we could stop at the Dirt Stripper or the real
- 1:49:12Speaker 2: strip club. And man, Sheep wanted no part in this.
- 1:49:17Speaker 2: He is like, I want to go ahead and sleave
- 1:49:19Speaker 2: my doggie game. I'm gonna listen to a book on tape,
- 1:49:22Speaker 2: and I don't want to be by anybody.
- 1:49:25Speaker 5: I just didn't even stop at the VFW.
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: No, the VFW next to us was actually open with beer.
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: I did scream out that we could go get beer there. No,
- 1:49:36Speaker 2: I was shot down so many times.
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: So me and ewok go. We end up Jacket the Box.
- 1:49:43Speaker 2: Yeah, dude, Jack in the Box was slow, but they
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: were good for you.
- 1:49:47Speaker 1: Man, they were good to me. So I got my
- 1:49:49Speaker 1: Jacket the Box. I'm happy. We scooter her back to
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: the j and Ewok goes want a beer, and I'm like, ah,
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: I gotta play tomorrow. I really shouldn't drink.
- 1:50:04Speaker 2: And I talked him into this because I needed a
- 1:50:07Speaker 2: beer and it was a great time to have a
- 1:50:10Speaker 2: beer on Saturday night.
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: I get a beer, I got a old Fast. Yeah,
- 1:50:14Speaker 1: you gotta drink, and we go back up and we
- 1:50:18Speaker 1: start to play Moon Rakers, moon Crashers, Whatever.
- 1:50:22Speaker 2: Breakers, moon Breakers, Christ Yeah, Chris Steele, Locacar and I
- 1:50:28Speaker 2: love that game, and we were all over it.
- 1:50:31Speaker 1: I was a big fan. Just Chris's and John's turn
- 1:50:35Speaker 1: to take forever.
- 1:50:38Speaker 4: Oh maybe because they're good.
- 1:50:42Speaker 3: He was just mad because he was like, all right,
- 1:50:44Speaker 3: I need this help and Chris and you are like, oh,
- 1:50:48Speaker 3: we can do this, but we can't do that. And
- 1:50:50Speaker 3: Woki looks at me and says.
- 1:50:52Speaker 6: We don't need you, and I'm like, all I fine,
- 1:50:54Speaker 6: you don't need to be and then they could proceed
- 1:50:56Speaker 6: to completely with it because he didn't listen to anybody
- 1:51:00Speaker 6: thought he didn't need me, so that was fine.
- 1:51:03Speaker 1: It was it was literally like their turns were taking
- 1:51:06Speaker 1: thirty minutes a crack. No, yes, absolutely not at all.
- 1:51:11Speaker 3: The whole game only lasted an hour and a half Wokie.
- 1:51:13Speaker 1: So somebody went, yeah, somebody went and got more alcohol.
- 1:51:19Speaker 3: And well, so what happened is Ewok set himself up
- 1:51:22Speaker 3: to go hunting things and he burst it up to
- 1:51:25Speaker 3: one point away from winning, and Wookie's like, all right,
- 1:51:27Speaker 3: I'm out. And that's when everything got really fun and interesting,
- 1:51:31Speaker 3: but uh and different and interesting for wooking in a
- 1:51:34Speaker 3: different way.
- 1:51:35Speaker 1: Well, somebody was like, I'm going to the bar and
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: I was like, oh, can you get me another beer?
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: I'm out because my drink was pure brandy. There was
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: no there was no old or fashion in there. That
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: was just brandy on ice with a little bit of sugar.
- 1:51:52Speaker 2: You're welcome.
- 1:51:52Speaker 1: Yeah, It's like, well, I don't think she knew how
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: to make an old fashion. She just put brandy in
- 1:51:57Speaker 1: a cup. So their turns are taking for so damn long,
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: and I'm like, I gotta piss, I gotta pee. So
- 1:52:08Speaker 1: I'm going I go into the third floor bathroom. That
- 1:52:11Speaker 1: place is booked like there are people, there's a line,
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: and I'm like, all right, well, screw that. I know
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: where another bathroom is downstairs. So I go downstairs and
- 1:52:23Speaker 1: who do I find but my my friend from the
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: from the vendor Hall, Ghostbuster.
- 1:52:29Speaker 2: Girl Ghostbusters are gonna call.
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: Not the Ghostbusters anyways, So you know, little chit chat.
- 1:52:40Speaker 1: I'm I'm contrary to popular belief. I can I can
- 1:52:44Speaker 1: be nice, social, social, you know, how's the I'm a
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: I'm a drink and half in so I'm really social,
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: not really social, but it's social.
- 1:52:56Speaker 5: Enough, and especially with that and especially with what your
- 1:53:03Speaker 5: old fashioned.
- 1:53:04Speaker 1: Oh yeah, it was just straight brandy, and you know,
- 1:53:09Speaker 1: we it basically ends, you know, a little bit of
- 1:53:12Speaker 1: small talk caused the con Everything going good, You're enjoying it,
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: having fun, YadA yatta, so on and so forth. And
- 1:53:19Speaker 1: then I'm like, okay, I gotta pee. You guys have
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: a good one. And I decide to break away, and
- 1:53:28Speaker 1: I think that's I think we're done at this point.
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: I'm wrong because I turn around and she's still there,
- 1:53:37Speaker 1: following me into the men's restroom and I'm like, Hi,
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: can I help you? And she's like, yeah, I'm coming
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: to help you, and I'm like, excuse me, and we
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: get into a little banter and turns out she wanted
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: to help your boy the Wookie in in in the
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: bathroom and we have to part ways at that point,
- 1:54:04Speaker 1: have a little interesting conversation. I'm not not going to
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: disclose here, but I've parted ways and now I'm like,
- 1:54:14Speaker 1: holy shit, this day has just gone from bad to worse?
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: What is going on?
- 1:54:18Speaker 2: And You're like, why am I telling why? I'm no
- 1:54:21Speaker 2: Custer girl anything like, because I've.
- 1:54:24Speaker 1: Told some I said some things, and I'm like, why
- 1:54:26Speaker 1: am I telling you any of this? Like what what
- 1:54:29Speaker 1: is going on? Like I'm I've clearly had too much
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: to drink already, only a drink and a half in,
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: but I need to just I don't know why I'm
- 1:54:37Speaker 1: telling you any of this. So again we we part ways.
- 1:54:44Speaker 1: I use the little boys room, and now it's time
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: to go back upstairs because I'm going to finish that beer.
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: Did somebody help you or no?
- 1:54:53Speaker 1: No, nobody helped me. I helped I helped myself. That
- 1:54:59Speaker 1: might I want to change that. No, there was no shaking,
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: but I'm like, I'm gonna go finish this beer. I'm like,
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: first sheep, Now this what this day came Saturday?
- 1:55:13Speaker 4: It was a Saturday night.
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: It's a Saturday night, and I'm like, this day can't
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: get much better. So I wait, I go, and I
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: explained to everybody upstairs and they're all just laughing at me.
- 1:55:26Speaker 2: Yes, part in shock too, Like what was.
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: This the time of the Great sprite Debacle of twenty
- 1:55:33Speaker 1: twenty four.
- 1:55:35Speaker 3: Yes, this is when you spray your sticky Sidney's friend.
- 1:55:39Speaker 1: It was a sprite. It was Sarah with an h
- 1:55:42Speaker 1: might have covered her in sprite, may or may not
- 1:55:45Speaker 1: have happened. We don't know. Jerry's still out on that one.
- 1:55:48Speaker 1: It happened. I don't know who shook my sprite, but
- 1:55:50Speaker 1: somebody did. So I'm like, all right, So I pound
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: my beer too, and I'm like I'm going, I'm going
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: downstairs to get another. And I'm like, man, just weird fighting. Like,
- 1:56:04Speaker 1: as I'm riding the escalators, I was like, man, weird
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: fucking day. And I was like, Gigi fucked up. I'm like,
- 1:56:09Speaker 1: woll no surprise there, but god, this is fucking strange.
- 1:56:14Speaker 1: And I get down to the bar and I'm talking
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: to the bartender and oh boy, I seem to have
- 1:56:19Speaker 1: found my friend again.
- 1:56:22Speaker 2: The ghosts attack again, ghost Galaxy and Ghostbuster.
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: So at this point I have decided I'm asking the
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: bartender to kind of hurry this along. Preaze, there's somebody
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: I am trying to avoid.
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: In here, will you meet my dad?
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: And I don't remember if I told you guys this,
- 1:56:44Speaker 1: but I actually turn around because I am convinced that no,
- 1:56:48Speaker 1: if I turn around, she won't see me. Right in
- 1:56:53Speaker 1: my head, this is a real thing that's happening, Like
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: if I turn around, she won't see my face, she
- 1:56:58Speaker 1: won't know I'm mad your shirt.
- 1:57:00Speaker 3: No, no, you can see him across the exhibit hall
- 1:57:08Speaker 3: of that shirt.
- 1:57:09Speaker 1: I'm a couple in and drunk me says this is
- 1:57:12Speaker 1: a great idea. So I'm like, yeall, just turn around,
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: nobody will nobody will see me. And then she comes
- 1:57:18Speaker 1: up to me. She's gonna buy me those drinks, and
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: she asks me to meet her hairy father or what
- 1:57:25Speaker 1: do you call it, sheep.
- 1:57:28Speaker 4: Somebody else. I'm pretty sure, Steve Bay it would have
- 1:57:30Speaker 4: been her pimp.
- 1:57:31Speaker 1: Yes, no, maybe probably maybe, I don't know, but either way,
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: she's buying me my drinks at this point, and like
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: me and the bartender have made eyes at each other.
- 1:57:48Speaker 1: He's like, oh, I get Like he finally gets it
- 1:57:51Speaker 1: because like at first he didn't understand him, Like, hey,
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: I just kind of need to go. And I don't
- 1:57:55Speaker 1: know if you thought like I was trying to pull
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: a fast one on him somehow someway and it was like,
- 1:58:00Speaker 1: h whatever, And now he finally gets it because we
- 1:58:03Speaker 1: have we have locked eyes and the stare of death
- 1:58:06Speaker 1: of I don't want to be here right I need
- 1:58:09Speaker 1: the booze that you're about to give me, but I
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: don't want to be here right now as locked in.
- 1:58:14Speaker 1: We've all gotten that face. So she ends up paying
- 1:58:19Speaker 1: for my drinks and I'm just like, yeah, no, but
- 1:58:24Speaker 1: thanks for the thanks for the drinks, and I go
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: by run back upstairs.
- 1:58:29Speaker 2: And you hand me the beer and you're like you'll
- 1:58:32Speaker 2: never guess you'll again. And I didn't even know about
- 1:58:38Speaker 2: the second time, so I was I was just flabbergasted.
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: This is and I'm just like this is weird. And
- 1:58:44Speaker 1: then I think Local car was like didn't you tell
- 1:58:47Speaker 1: her where you were? And I'm like, oh shit, I did,
- 1:58:49Speaker 1: and I'm like, ah, there's a lot of people in here,
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: and then they're like your shirt and I'm like, yeah,
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: it did work for me the first time.
- 1:58:57Speaker 5: Because of them tell her why you were at incon
- 1:59:00Speaker 5: and what you were doing.
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: I did. I did, But luckily there were no more sightings.
- 1:59:07Speaker 4: Which is too bad because I think I'm more upset
- 1:59:10Speaker 4: about missing Saturday Night than i am about the key forge,
- 1:59:14Speaker 4: because that's almost expected.
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: Now, well, you you also missed that. In the j
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: W Marriott, it was really difficult to get a table
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: or chairs. No, no, it is not arrested. Okay, you
- 1:59:29Speaker 2: would have gotten no, no, no. In the klingon jail.
- 1:59:36Speaker 4: I tried to find the clean on jail to put
- 1:59:39Speaker 4: you and there, Steve.
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: Actually she was looking for the cleaning jail for you, Steve,
- 1:59:44Speaker 2: So I will say that. But but we were short
- 1:59:48Speaker 2: two chairs, and Wooki was down.
- 1:59:51Speaker 1: So when you get Wookie, you walk together. They've had
- 1:59:54Speaker 1: maybe a couple of drinks and were.
- 1:59:59Speaker 2: This was It's not a decision based on drinks. This
- 2:00:02Speaker 2: was a sane, clear decision that was made. I went,
- 2:00:06Speaker 2: You went and looked in the back. There was a
- 2:00:08Speaker 2: back door that was open, and then you just peeked
- 2:00:11Speaker 2: your head in and then came out. And I waited.
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: I did go and ask two to three other tables
- 2:00:17Speaker 2: if I could borrow their extra chair, and no, they
- 2:00:19Speaker 2: had other people there or no. It was apparently guarding
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: their important bags and they were unwilling to give us
- 2:00:26Speaker 2: a chair, so I could not get a chair, so
- 2:00:29Speaker 2: I opened the same So I opened the door and
- 2:00:33Speaker 2: I saw a chair. So I went in probably fifty
- 2:00:37Speaker 2: seventy five feet and there was a chair. However, as
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: I picked it up, it folded like cardboard in half
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: because the back had broke. And now I understood why
- 2:00:46Speaker 2: it was there. But oft in the distance, probably another
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: two hundred feet away, I think I see chairs. So
- 2:00:55Speaker 2: I walked all the way down and sure enough, it
- 2:00:57Speaker 2: was my lucky day. There were three chairs, so I
- 2:01:01Speaker 2: didn't want to be greedy. I only took two of
- 2:01:03Speaker 2: those chairs, one for Wookie and one for myself so
- 2:01:07Speaker 2: we didn't have to kneel. And I came out like
- 2:01:10Speaker 2: I was being a good person to help us get
- 2:01:13Speaker 2: chairs to make sure we could sit in game. I
- 2:01:16Speaker 2: didn't think this was any problem. I mean, if they
- 2:01:18Speaker 2: just had an extra stack of chairs there that people
- 2:01:20Speaker 2: could take, it would have been really helpful. And I
- 2:01:23Speaker 2: brought it out. We were literally outside the door by
- 2:01:26Speaker 2: five feet. I gave one to Wookie. He thought I
- 2:01:29Speaker 2: was his champion. I had returned with a chair, and
- 2:01:32Speaker 2: we sat down and played Moon Rakers, and like twenty
- 2:01:35Speaker 2: minutes later I see security coming through with the earpiece
- 2:01:39Speaker 2: and the glasses like their secret service, looking around, and
- 2:01:43Speaker 2: I'm like, I'm still wearing a red hat and a
- 2:01:45Speaker 2: pink jersey, Like this is the easiest spot if you
- 2:01:50Speaker 2: need to find someone. I am one five feet away
- 2:01:53Speaker 2: from you, but you walked right past me. There was
- 2:01:55Speaker 2: no effect. They did not bother. We were playing a
- 2:01:58Speaker 2: great game and Moon Rakers.
- 2:02:00Speaker 1: Was you j R? Sound like he was wearing an
- 2:02:05Speaker 1: easily to spot shirt or nothing.
- 2:02:07Speaker 3: They didn't have any sasquatches on it.
- 2:02:08Speaker 2: That's why, right, the sasquatch I was not Harry, that
- 2:02:13Speaker 2: is correct.
- 2:02:14Speaker 1: We gamed until like two am something like that. I
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: don't remember what it was. Steve came over.
- 2:02:21Speaker 2: Steve came over. It was yeah, it was it was
- 2:02:23Speaker 2: one o'clock.
- 2:02:24Speaker 5: Yeah, I think you guys played until one o'clock and
- 2:02:27Speaker 5: then we uh walked and got the car up. That's
- 2:02:33Speaker 5: where Ewok saw some interesting fashion choices.
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: Oh so that.
- 2:02:41Speaker 2: No, no, so on our walk. It is now Saturday night,
- 2:02:46Speaker 2: and I want to say Saturday night was the Blink
- 2:02:49Speaker 2: one eighty two concert. That was the night before that
- 2:02:52Speaker 2: was Friday. But there were people going out on the
- 2:02:55Speaker 2: town that were wearing very interesting outfits. You also had
- 2:02:58Speaker 2: the gen Con crowd, and so it was a great,
- 2:03:01Speaker 2: great mix of individuals and we enjoyed the walk back.
- 2:03:06Speaker 2: I drove Dan's vehicle very carefully with no issues. I
- 2:03:11Speaker 2: did not run over any kiddies or anything else. I
- 2:03:15Speaker 2: was not swerving left and let right like he does
- 2:03:18Speaker 2: with my vehicle.
- 2:03:18Speaker 4: It's a freaking mountain lion attacked your car. I was
- 2:03:21Speaker 4: just trying to save it.
- 2:03:24Speaker 2: I did not run over a mountain lion, and I
- 2:03:27Speaker 2: got everyone.
- 2:03:27Speaker 4: To run over a mountain line either.
- 2:03:32Speaker 1: He didn't swerve around it.
- 2:03:33Speaker 2: You swerve, no, but a lot of great scootering. I
- 2:03:37Speaker 2: have no idea how Ghostbuster Girl showed up. I did
- 2:03:43Speaker 2: not see Ghostbuster Girls second and third time, so it
- 2:03:46Speaker 2: made me a little bit sad. I really felt that
- 2:03:48Speaker 2: you could have called me in, like come down here.
- 2:03:51Speaker 1: No, I wish that was my imagination.
- 2:03:55Speaker 2: I am telling you. The more I think about this bookie,
- 2:03:57Speaker 2: the more I think that we were set up, that
- 2:03:59Speaker 2: we were easy mark.
- 2:04:00Speaker 1: So the more I think about it, the more I
- 2:04:02Speaker 1: think Dan was right. I might I saved my own
- 2:04:04Speaker 1: life that night.
- 2:04:05Speaker 3: I would have been at least your kidney.
- 2:04:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I was gonna say, I was about to be
- 2:04:10Speaker 1: in a bathtub full of ice missing a kidney.
- 2:04:13Speaker 2: Yeah, all good things happened at Juncon. But we made
- 2:04:17Speaker 2: it back, and uh, we were all super quiet, so
- 2:04:21Speaker 2: we did not wake up Dan right away. I really
- 2:04:24Speaker 2: had to hesitate, so I didn't run and jump on
- 2:04:26Speaker 2: you man. But we went out and mister Steve, what
- 2:04:32Speaker 2: did you go ahead and do with mister Wookie, because
- 2:04:34Speaker 2: mister Wookie's in a great, great manner. I brought some
- 2:04:36Speaker 2: water out, but we.
- 2:04:39Speaker 5: Uh cracked open some coarse lights.
- 2:04:42Speaker 2: Is that what you're tasting right now as well, I
- 2:04:46Speaker 2: believe earlier for this particular episode. Yeah, so mister Steve
- 2:04:55Speaker 2: was real good, and uh it's now like I run
- 2:04:58Speaker 2: into two o'clock and and I need to hop back
- 2:05:02Speaker 2: in because the nice laying arrangement has me at the
- 2:05:07Speaker 2: front head and then mister Loco car kind of next,
- 2:05:13Speaker 2: and then there's a space so i'd either have to
- 2:05:16Speaker 2: crawl over him, but he was waiting up, and I
- 2:05:18Speaker 2: was really worried that I was actually keeping you up, John,
- 2:05:20Speaker 2: and you were on your phone. So I'm like, I'll
- 2:05:23Speaker 2: go till two o'clock. And once two o'clock hit, then
- 2:05:26Speaker 2: I went in. They finished some time later, it could
- 2:05:30Speaker 2: be at any point. And then I and then I
- 2:05:33Speaker 2: hear on Sunday morning, the most annoying noise ever.
- 2:05:42Speaker 1: I don't remember who I. I was like, somebody wakes
- 2:05:44Speaker 1: me up because I am going.
- 2:05:45Speaker 3: To when you're drunken super the night before, like I
- 2:05:48Speaker 3: don't know if I'll wake up to my alarm, and like,
- 2:05:49Speaker 3: all right, I'll make sure you get up. I had
- 2:05:51Speaker 3: to wake him up three separate times before he finally
- 2:05:54Speaker 3: rolled out of his tent.
- 2:05:56Speaker 2: Shit, hey, you don't talk to me. You set your
- 2:05:58Speaker 2: alarm for Thursday five twenty in the morning, when we
- 2:06:02Speaker 2: need to be up at six.
- 2:06:03Speaker 4: Man.
- 2:06:04Speaker 2: So you and I are both up because we hear
- 2:06:06Speaker 2: our alarm and we're like, we're up. Here we go
- 2:06:09Speaker 2: and yeah, yeah, I did not punch you that morning,
- 2:06:13Speaker 2: but if arbitrator said I could, I might have.
- 2:06:16Speaker 1: All I remember is being walked up with somebody going
- 2:06:19Speaker 1: breakfast beer. I was like, and I thought about it.
- 2:06:21Speaker 1: I was like, oh I hurt, it all hurt.
- 2:06:24Speaker 2: See it all hurts. So we went and found We
- 2:06:28Speaker 2: went and found the poop easy, and we had plenty
- 2:06:30Speaker 2: of time. But you know, Alliance was essentially finished for
- 2:06:35Speaker 2: me in the top placement. They did tell us we
- 2:06:37Speaker 2: could get our prizes, but we had no idea where
- 2:06:40Speaker 2: we actually faced. So that was another debacle because it hadn't.
- 2:06:46Speaker 2: Both Dragonmaster and myself went out of the same realm.
- 2:06:49Speaker 2: But we're replacing. Yeah, one to four one was not
- 2:06:54Speaker 2: and so that matters. And so Josh is like having
- 2:06:56Speaker 2: a heart attack over this. He he was, and I'm like, Josh,
- 2:07:01Speaker 2: what is.
- 2:07:02Speaker 4: Of a play matt And the difference of the deck
- 2:07:05Speaker 4: has a guaranteed revenant or not?
- 2:07:07Speaker 2: Correct? And so that that was it. Basically, just so
- 2:07:10Speaker 2: you guys are mine head, so prising, let's talk about
- 2:07:14Speaker 2: this is nationals now one and two? Do get access
- 2:07:17Speaker 2: to worlds? What prizing? Sweet sweet sweet prizing did we
- 2:07:22Speaker 2: go ahead and get? You may ask, Well, there was
- 2:07:27Speaker 2: a top eight matts. Yep, there was a top four
- 2:07:33Speaker 2: play mat and then you got a revenant deck. Otherwise
- 2:07:36Speaker 2: you just got an Awakenings deck and they were both
- 2:07:39Speaker 2: grim reminders. If you were the runner up, you went
- 2:07:42Speaker 2: ahead and got your revenant deck your runner up matts,
- 2:07:47Speaker 2: and you got a blue Teal book. And then the
- 2:07:50Speaker 2: champion got their Revenant deck, got their Blue Teal book,
- 2:07:55Speaker 2: got their little Key the super Key super Key, so
- 2:07:59Speaker 2: they got to see super Key first, and supposedly they
- 2:08:03Speaker 2: got three grim reminders. Yeah, it wasn't listed here, but
- 2:08:09Speaker 2: that's it. So for Ali and myself, we both finished
- 2:08:13Speaker 2: roughly what should have been the same place, but because
- 2:08:15Speaker 2: Alliance was all messed up, Josh was having our deck.
- 2:08:18Speaker 2: I said, what what, what's the prizing? Allie really wanted
- 2:08:21Speaker 2: the bands Matt, which was the top format. Top four
- 2:08:28Speaker 2: technically had me listed, so I said, Josh, don't worry
- 2:08:33Speaker 2: about it. Josh was freaking out because the placement was different,
- 2:08:36Speaker 2: but Allie's strength of schedule was stronger, so I gave
- 2:08:41Speaker 2: her the I said, great, I can have a mat.
- 2:08:43Speaker 2: MAT's a man. It doesn't matter to me. So I
- 2:08:44Speaker 2: took the Revenant deck. She took the top format. We
- 2:08:49Speaker 2: got pictures with. I got pictures with both, and she
- 2:08:53Speaker 2: goes ahead and opens her Wakenings deck, which pulls a
- 2:08:55Speaker 2: Witch Queen deck, which I still have yet to pull,
- 2:08:58Speaker 2: and then everyone was making fun, which it actually was.
- 2:09:03Speaker 2: But again, it's a mat. It doesn't really super matter,
- 2:09:08Speaker 2: and we move on. And then later on I realized, Josh,
- 2:09:11Speaker 2: the reason I'm top four is I don't know what
- 2:09:14Speaker 2: about the strength of schedule. But my only two losses
- 2:09:16Speaker 2: were to Aviator and JDG, who are one and two,
- 2:09:19Speaker 2: so that would put me at a better spot. It
- 2:09:23Speaker 2: does not matter. It really has no impact. But another
- 2:09:27Speaker 2: reason why we need to have a top eight cut
- 2:09:29Speaker 2: and then you need to just do eight four to
- 2:09:31Speaker 2: two boom done. Prices. Yeah, they were pretty poor. I
- 2:09:36Speaker 2: know a couple people have talked about it why people
- 2:09:38Speaker 2: didn't show up. So I would love, love love to
- 2:09:41Speaker 2: see them actually updated or improved, like significantly for next year.
- 2:09:47Speaker 2: And my recommendation a little rough prising was pathetic.
- 2:09:51Speaker 4: Let's let's say it as a same was adequate to
- 2:09:55Speaker 4: the cost of the event, ignoring that it's gem Con.
- 2:10:00Speaker 4: But you can't put gen Con into that because nowhere
- 2:10:03Speaker 4: else runs sovan.
- 2:10:04Speaker 1: I'm not putting my calculations into the event that it
- 2:10:10Speaker 1: was gen Con. I just know Vault tours what the
- 2:10:14Speaker 1: second place is getting. And I don't feel like I
- 2:10:17Speaker 1: was like, is Nationals below a Vault Tour?
- 2:10:25Speaker 4: Yes? Nationals is yes below a.
- 2:10:27Speaker 1: Vault significantly below a Vault tour?
- 2:10:32Speaker 3: Yes?
- 2:10:32Speaker 1: Okay, Well so what's in between it.
- 2:10:37Speaker 4: Nothing? There's no in between Vault to UR and nationals.
- 2:10:40Speaker 3: Okay, once upon a time it would have been store
- 2:10:44Speaker 3: and then Prime or regionals and then nationals and then vaults.
- 2:10:48Speaker 1: I just felt that the second place prizing was a
- 2:10:51Speaker 1: little the prising in general was a little lackluster. Considering
- 2:10:55Speaker 1: we see what vts get and considering we see you know,
- 2:10:59Speaker 1: it's like, oh, it's not even half.
- 2:11:02Speaker 4: So I think a VT does have to be better
- 2:11:04Speaker 4: because they know they're designing those as fairly long distance
- 2:11:09Speaker 4: travel events.
- 2:11:10Speaker 3: They're the destination of themselves.
- 2:11:12Speaker 4: Most most nationals that are not US are pulling a
- 2:11:19Speaker 4: significant smaller regional area. The US and really Canada both
- 2:11:24Speaker 4: really suffer from that problem where our geographical area for
- 2:11:28Speaker 4: our nation is mosses like mar should be the same thing, right,
- 2:11:32Speaker 4: except all their populations a relatively small part. China probably
- 2:11:38Speaker 4: the same thing, right. Huge population large mass makes makes
- 2:11:43Speaker 4: one national kind of silly, Like you'd think nationals should
- 2:11:46Speaker 4: really not be nationals and they should be populations in
- 2:11:49Speaker 4: our base things. But for ease, they're named what they are,
- 2:11:54Speaker 4: and they are what they are. But yeah, it's US.
- 2:12:01Speaker 4: Nationals is always going to be a somewhat mediocre event
- 2:12:07Speaker 4: in comparison to other nationals because it was our size.
- 2:12:12Speaker 1: It was one hundred dollars to play in all three events. Yeah,
- 2:12:16Speaker 1: and I'm pretty sure you've got price that it costs
- 2:12:19Speaker 1: me to play in a Vault Tour. Yes, but in
- 2:12:23Speaker 1: a Vault Tour, which I also got to play in
- 2:12:25Speaker 1: all three events.
- 2:12:27Speaker 4: You get more free stuff at a Vault Tour for
- 2:12:29Speaker 4: your hundred bucks. So that's actually better because either one
- 2:12:32Speaker 4: you get three decks but at volto or you get
- 2:12:35Speaker 4: a bonus deck too, the Bault Master being Yeah, So
- 2:12:42Speaker 4: I don't know. I I still don't particularly think the
- 2:12:45Speaker 4: cost of the event was unreasonable.
- 2:12:51Speaker 2: The problem. The problem is that it's at gen Con
- 2:12:53Speaker 2: and you're you're separating that out. I get that, but
- 2:12:55Speaker 2: gen Con the ticket alone without housing or food is addition.
- 2:13:01Speaker 4: It's not the vendor or the tournament organized responsibility to
- 2:13:06Speaker 4: offset the costs of gen Con.
- 2:13:08Speaker 2: And I but why this is why they could run
- 2:13:11Speaker 2: it simply in a different space and go ahead and
- 2:13:16Speaker 2: have a field event that's not part of the Vault Tour,
- 2:13:18Speaker 2: And that's the recommendation.
- 2:13:20Speaker 1: I'm not just saying like you had to about. What
- 2:13:22Speaker 1: I'm saying is like you look at the Vault Tour
- 2:13:24Speaker 1: and you look at my you know.
- 2:13:26Speaker 4: I'm just like, oh, yes, it was suggusted by more
- 2:13:30Speaker 4: than one person that maybe Nationals isn't for an. I.
- 2:13:36Speaker 2: The thing I do think that Gigi could do and
- 2:13:39Speaker 2: needs to do is establish what the prizes are ahead
- 2:13:42Speaker 2: of time. Coming into gen Con, we did not know,
- 2:13:44Speaker 2: so that again decreased our amount. And you can see
- 2:13:47Speaker 2: that when we have thirty eight, twenty six and thirteen
- 2:13:50Speaker 2: players playing in the respective events.
- 2:13:53Speaker 3: We went into finals not knowing what the prizing was.
- 2:13:56Speaker 2: Correct, and that that's something that can't happened. Like you
- 2:14:01Speaker 2: have to communicate, and you have to communicate early. Here's
- 2:14:04Speaker 2: the event, here's what the prizes are. Let people know.
- 2:14:07Speaker 2: Even if they're pathetic, which is what they were, let
- 2:14:10Speaker 2: people know and the people will still come out.
- 2:14:13Speaker 4: I still can't call the prizes pathetic. They're not inspiring.
- 2:14:19Speaker 4: I wonder what is a what is a guaranteed revenant
- 2:14:22Speaker 4: deck work?
- 2:14:24Speaker 2: It depends if it has nothing else in it is
- 2:14:27Speaker 2: zero and that's a.
- 2:14:29Speaker 4: Sealed guaranteed revenant.
- 2:14:32Speaker 3: I don't know they were going on the bay. I
- 2:14:34Speaker 3: can't remember how much, but it was like fifty dollars
- 2:14:36Speaker 3: or something at one point.
- 2:14:38Speaker 2: So while while you're there, you can go ahead and
- 2:14:42Speaker 2: see bad Penny did have a link to no No
- 2:14:49Speaker 2: to the nationals that are coming up, and this I
- 2:14:51Speaker 2: hadn't seen this, so this this actually was important to
- 2:14:55Speaker 2: me because I didn't know that there was a map
- 2:15:00Speaker 2: for the national championships, but I went ahead and pull
- 2:15:03Speaker 2: that information. So you had US nationals August fourth, first
- 2:15:07Speaker 2: through fourth. We finished that. Next up is the Brazilian
- 2:15:11Speaker 2: Nationals August twenty third and twenty fourth. Then the in
- 2:15:14Speaker 2: Denmark or our Danish is August thirty first. In September first,
- 2:15:18Speaker 2: Canadian and Italian are both happening on the same weekend
- 2:15:21Speaker 2: September twenty eighth and twenty ninth, and France finishes it
- 2:15:25Speaker 2: out October fourth and fifth. That's what's on the map.
- 2:15:27Speaker 4: Boys, Italian and grant AT's are at the same time
- 2:15:30Speaker 4: as ye gid dread vault.
- 2:15:34Speaker 2: Yep.
- 2:15:38Speaker 4: I feel like those were scheduled independently of each other.
- 2:15:42Speaker 2: Yep, that's my hypothesis. But it's just if we want
- 2:15:48Speaker 2: to be able to grow the game, we need to
- 2:15:50Speaker 2: be able to communicate. We need to stick with our
- 2:15:52Speaker 2: decision that's made, even if it's a bad decision, and
- 2:15:56Speaker 2: we need to be able to work on low player
- 2:15:58Speaker 2: accounts because frankly, that's where we are. So the expectation
- 2:16:02Speaker 2: that we're going to have one hundred plus, like I mean,
- 2:16:05Speaker 2: there were two players that came in and asked, hey,
- 2:16:07Speaker 2: what of our numbers? Are they back? At what we
- 2:16:09Speaker 2: saw with FFG games FFG days at.
- 2:16:12Speaker 1: Three hundred, we're gonna be a three yeah.
- 2:16:14Speaker 2: No, no, no, no like that. That's not realistic. But
- 2:16:18Speaker 2: we have a phenomenal group. So we're going to celebrate
- 2:16:20Speaker 2: what we have. But we can go ahead and make
- 2:16:23Speaker 2: this more successful by announcing what the prize there ahead
- 2:16:27Speaker 2: of time. What is what's actually happening for events. I
- 2:16:30Speaker 2: think they did a really nice job and again it's
- 2:16:32Speaker 2: streaming out so there's some improvements that are definitely happening.
- 2:16:35Speaker 2: But there's still some work to be done to continue
- 2:16:38Speaker 2: this process.
- 2:16:41Speaker 1: But big congratulations to Fabulousing, Grishammer and Aviator. Those are
- 2:16:47Speaker 1: your sealed ARCon and Alliance winners. Anything else we missed
- 2:16:56Speaker 1: from the weekend, all that jazz Our drazz Core experiencing
- 2:17:02Speaker 1: was poor, very or at best. Loca Car did bring us.
- 2:17:06Speaker 4: To a decent a decent bar that had some barrel
- 2:17:11Speaker 4: aged cocktails and they were.
- 2:17:13Speaker 3: They were okay, well we're just starting the week there,
- 2:17:17Speaker 3: and then the rest of the time we actually spent
- 2:17:19Speaker 3: board gaming and hanging out with people doing that as
- 2:17:21Speaker 3: opposed to a draftscore experience. So it was a poop
- 2:17:26Speaker 3: experience and it was a Sydney experience.
- 2:17:28Speaker 1: I guess I kind of thought that maybe we would
- 2:17:34Speaker 1: we we had plans. None of a came to fruition.
- 2:17:38Speaker 3: We we won't be sharing the pictures from Saturday night
- 2:17:41Speaker 3: of of how Sydney gets when she's had a few
- 2:17:43Speaker 3: in her somehow.
- 2:17:45Speaker 2: Spoken Steel is where we ended up, and actually it
- 2:17:47Speaker 2: was very good.
- 2:17:48Speaker 1: I had no problem with that. Yeah, you definitely went
- 2:17:50Speaker 1: with the winner of the smash Burger. Yeah, Smash was
- 2:17:55Speaker 1: the win. That was definitely.
- 2:17:58Speaker 2: I know the cost was but I enjoy playing key
- 2:18:02Speaker 2: for it. I enjoy the group. Uh, mister Steve coming,
- 2:18:05Speaker 2: mister Helmkey coming with us. You know, we had a
- 2:18:07Speaker 2: wonderful time and I would totally go ahead and do
- 2:18:10Speaker 2: that again. I do get a chance to see Kinky
- 2:18:13Speaker 2: Wookie here, so a lot of in jokes and fun
- 2:18:16Speaker 2: things happening.
- 2:18:17Speaker 1: Oh I forgot about the Kinky Wookie thing.
- 2:18:20Speaker 2: I know, lots of lots of great games and memories,
- 2:18:25Speaker 2: so things that I will forever cherish.
- 2:18:29Speaker 1: Alrighty well, I think with that being said, it's gonna
- 2:18:32Speaker 1: be a long episode. But with that being said, we'll
- 2:18:37Speaker 1: see y'all next week.
- 2:18:41Speaker 2: Yeah, May the Forge be with you.
- 2:18:45Speaker 1: It's been fun. Oh, we gotta do draz Cours part.
- 2:18:48Speaker 1: What does dras Cours say? Nobody knows. We'll see y'all
- 2:18:56Speaker 1: next week.
- 2:19:04Speaker 2: Request, Miss, No one.
- 2:19:16Speaker 5: Knows it's you, Miss Jackson.
- 2:19:18Speaker 1: Don't knows to think someone.
- 2:19:20Speaker 5: No One's gonna find Miss Jackson. Jackson Jackson sho
