- 0:00Speaker 1: Come on, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 0:10Speaker 1: You're listening to the voice, Come on, dig me now
- 0:14Speaker 1: one and only see if Harvey got a radio show. Man.
- 0:18Speaker 1: God is in the blessing business. I'm in the receiving line. Man.
- 0:23Speaker 1: That's a good feeling. I thank God for waking me
- 0:27Speaker 1: up in the mornings, I really really do. I thank
- 0:31Speaker 1: God for the spirit that he wakes me up with
- 0:33Speaker 1: because I finally, but I finally figured it out. Such
- 0:38Speaker 1: a blessing that shouldn't be taken for granted. The fact
- 0:41Speaker 1: that you are up today, the fact that you just
- 0:44Speaker 1: got off working, you driving home, the fact that you
- 0:46Speaker 1: got a job to come home from, the fact that
- 0:49Speaker 1: you got a job to wake up too. Whatever it is,
- 0:52Speaker 1: the fact that you can see, think, here, smell, walk, talk, rhyme, reason,
- 0:59Speaker 1: whatever it is, it's a blessing. Man. I was talking
- 1:02Speaker 1: to a partner of mine last night and an analogy
- 1:06Speaker 1: came to me last night of what my life has
- 1:08Speaker 1: been like, just going over my story with a friend
- 1:11Speaker 1: of mine of all some of the things I had
- 1:14Speaker 1: gone through, and he never knew it because he said, man,
- 1:16Speaker 1: you never told me that we were just talking. One
- 1:20Speaker 1: of the things I remember, and it's kind of equated
- 1:23Speaker 1: to my life. Was when I was a little boy,
- 1:29Speaker 1: as she got to the store with my mom and
- 1:33Speaker 1: she would let me buy a jigsaw puzzle. Now, for
- 1:36Speaker 1: those of you, a jigsaw puzzle comes in a box.
- 1:40Speaker 1: There are no instructions. It just comes in a box
- 1:45Speaker 1: and it's simple. You're gonna dump the pieces out in
- 1:48Speaker 1: a pile and you're gonna try to put the pieces
- 1:52Speaker 1: together until it looks like the picture that's on the
- 1:57Speaker 1: cover of the box. That's as simple as it is.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Here is the deal. I would select a jigsaw puzzle
- 2:10Speaker 1: based on the picture that I liked and if I
- 2:16Speaker 1: thought I could do it. Now, if the picture looked
- 2:20Speaker 1: too crazy, if it looked too intricate, I didn't want
- 2:24Speaker 1: that puzzle, you know. And the thing was, back in
- 2:28Speaker 1: the day you got a jigsaw puzzle, you had one
- 2:29Speaker 1: hundred piece puzzles. Four hundred piece puzzles. Man, then they
- 2:33Speaker 1: say a thousand piece puzzle. You go oo. So those
- 2:38Speaker 1: were a little difficult for me when I was a
- 2:40Speaker 1: little boy, so I didn't want that. As I got
- 2:44Speaker 1: a little bit older, I had more challenging puzzles, you know.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Four fifty five hundred piece puzzles, but I always picked
- 2:55Speaker 1: a picture of something I liked. So it's very simple.
- 2:59Speaker 1: You get the jigsaw puzzle, you get it home, you
- 3:01Speaker 1: open it up, you dump it out on the table.
- 3:04Speaker 1: You flip all the pieces over so you can see them,
- 3:09Speaker 1: and then I would try to sort them based on
- 3:12Speaker 1: the colors on the box. If it was like a
- 3:15Speaker 1: black section, I'd take all the black pieces and slide
- 3:18Speaker 1: them over there. If it was some flowers, I'd try
- 3:20Speaker 1: to find all the pictures with little jigsaw pieces with
- 3:23Speaker 1: the little floor, and I separate them and then i'd
- 3:26Speaker 1: start putting it together. And the way I started was
- 3:29Speaker 1: i'd try to build a border first, because I knew
- 3:32Speaker 1: all the straight edges had to be side by side
- 3:35Speaker 1: at one point, and it was funny, man, because it's
- 3:38Speaker 1: related to my life. I would start putting the pieces
- 3:42Speaker 1: together of the picture I saw that I liked, and
- 3:48Speaker 1: that would be my picture. A lot of people didn't
- 3:51Speaker 1: like jigsaw puzzles. As a matter of fact, none of
- 3:55Speaker 1: the boys on the street liked jigsaw puzzles but me,
- 3:59Speaker 1: because they just didn't want to go through the intricate
- 4:02Speaker 1: details of figuring that out. Really go outside and run
- 4:05Speaker 1: or something like that. And so what happened was, as
- 4:09Speaker 1: I got older, I wanted more difficult and challenging puzzles,
- 4:14Speaker 1: but I wouldn't go too far. I wanted some nice
- 4:17Speaker 1: stuff to happen. I had a picture of what I
- 4:19Speaker 1: wanted for my life, but I didn't want to go
- 4:22Speaker 1: too far because it was so challenging and difficult. I
- 4:27Speaker 1: couldn't see myself with all of that, and I didn't
- 4:29Speaker 1: have the time, the knowledge, the expertise to figuring all
- 4:33Speaker 1: the intricate details. And I discovered something when I was
- 4:38Speaker 1: talking last night. That's what happens in life to a
- 4:42Speaker 1: lot of people. You get bogged down with the details
- 4:46Speaker 1: of coming up and trying to create the picture that
- 4:48Speaker 1: you want for yourself. You put it to the side,
- 4:51Speaker 1: you say, oh, that puzzles are crazy. Next thing you know,
- 4:54Speaker 1: you crumb it up and put it back in the box.
- 4:56Speaker 1: So you go halfway and you get stuck, and you
- 4:59Speaker 1: get to the park where it ain't a lot of
- 5:00Speaker 1: different colors. It's all the same, and that's a little
- 5:03Speaker 1: bit more challenging. So that may stop you. But it's
- 5:06Speaker 1: somewhere in the jigsaw puzzle that it gets very difficult.
- 5:09Speaker 1: And challenging the bigger the picture you want, But then
- 5:14Speaker 1: what all happened in your life. It's just like what
- 5:18Speaker 1: happened in the jigsaw. Once you get comfortable and you
- 5:22Speaker 1: don't mind the challenge, you could get a bigger picture.
- 5:27Speaker 1: But here's the key to it, though, if you put
- 5:30Speaker 1: God in your mix, see, the picture that I saw
- 5:34Speaker 1: for myself as a boy is not the picture that
- 5:38Speaker 1: has happened to me as a man. Because along the
- 5:42Speaker 1: way from boyhood to manhood, from the time I was
- 5:45Speaker 1: telling you understand what happened along the ride in there
- 5:50Speaker 1: was I started putting God in the mix. And so
- 5:53Speaker 1: now the picture that I have now is not the
- 5:57Speaker 1: picture I saw. It's the picture that God, God saw.
- 6:01Speaker 1: So what I'm saying this analogy is the picture you
- 6:05Speaker 1: have may be difficult to complete, but if you were
- 6:09Speaker 1: to include God in your life, put God in your
- 6:13Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle, God will not only help you complete the puzzle,
- 6:18Speaker 1: and he gonna add some pieces, he gonna do some favors,
- 6:22Speaker 1: he gonna show some mercy, and you gonna look up
- 6:25Speaker 1: and the picture that you're able to end up with
- 6:28Speaker 1: will be totally different and much more complete, much more beautiful,
- 6:32Speaker 1: a bigger picture than the one you had, because there's
- 6:35Speaker 1: no way that I could have saught a life that
- 6:38Speaker 1: I have today back when I was a boy. And
- 6:41Speaker 1: it amazes me when I hear people say I always
- 6:44Speaker 1: saw this for myself. Ah, I didn't do that. I
- 6:47Speaker 1: didn't quite see this for myself. I don't know how
- 6:49Speaker 1: you can have the ability to see what God really
- 6:52Speaker 1: has for you. But man, he's a master for jigsaw. Man,
- 6:57Speaker 1: he's an incredible puzzle completer. You got a puzzle that's
- 7:01Speaker 1: challenging to you, maybe you need to see what's the
- 7:04Speaker 1: picture that God has for your life. If God were
- 7:08Speaker 1: in your life, if you complete it to puzzle, what
- 7:12Speaker 1: would it look like. It'll be a far more extensive puzzle,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and it would be a far more beautiful piece of
- 7:19Speaker 1: scenery than you could have ever imagined. Tears come in
- 7:23Speaker 1: my eyes because I can't believe God bought me this far.
- 7:27Speaker 1: I can't believe that when I opened up and accepted
- 7:30Speaker 1: him and started talking to him, that he would add
- 7:33Speaker 1: all these pieceles to my jigsaw puzzle, and my jigsaw
- 7:36Speaker 1: puzzle would look like this. And I can tell you
- 7:39Speaker 1: I ain't got a whole lot to do with what
- 7:42Speaker 1: out and turned into. It's mostly favor and blessings and
- 7:46Speaker 1: grace and mercy of God. And I looked up and
- 7:48Speaker 1: I just got a much bigger jigsaw puzzle completed. And
- 7:52Speaker 1: guess what, He ain't through with me yet. That's what's
- 7:55Speaker 1: amazing and exciting about a relationship with God. God could
- 7:59Speaker 1: take your jigsaw puzzle to fix it. You're listening to
- 8:02Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
