  SPEAKER_00: Welcome to the secret place with Pastor Millie, a place where we step away from the noise of this world and draw closer to God and allow his word to strengthen our spirit.

  SPEAKER_00: Today I want to speak to someone who is tired, tired of fighting back, tired of defending themselves, tired of feeling that they have to explain themselves to everyone.

  SPEAKER_00: So I want to speak to that one person who is tired.

  SPEAKER_00: You've been defending yourself, you've been explaining yourself, responding to every accusation, and trying to make people understand your heart.

  SPEAKER_00: But I want you to hear this word today.

  SPEAKER_00: You don't have to fight every battle.

  SPEAKER_00: You see, some battles are not yours to fight.

  SPEAKER_00: Some people do not need explanation, and some situations do not need your response.

  SPEAKER_00: And that's the problem.

  SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we feel we gotta respond to everything.

  SPEAKER_00: We have to fight with a fight, argue with an argument.

  SPEAKER_00: And sometimes the best thing we do is walk away.

  SPEAKER_00: Some situations do not need you to respond to it, it doesn't need you to get hyper about it, it doesn't need you to feel like you're losing the battle.

  SPEAKER_00: No, some battles are won when you walk away, and some doors God is closing because He is protecting your peace.

  SPEAKER_00: You know, that is one thing I've been asking God every day of my life.

  SPEAKER_00: Remove what does not please, remove what does not edify, remove the ones that don't belong, Father God, and bring in the one that has the mindset of the kingdom, the mindset of edifying.

  SPEAKER_00: See, the Bible says in Exodus chapter 14, verse 14, the Lord shall fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.

  SPEAKER_00: There comes a moment in everybody's life, okay?

  SPEAKER_00: There comes that one moment, that moment when faith tells you, you know what?

  SPEAKER_00: Tell God, God, I am putting this in your hands.

  SPEAKER_00: You don't have to prove who you are when God knows already who you are.

  SPEAKER_00: You don't have to chase every lie when God knows the truth.

  SPEAKER_00: And that's the thing.

  SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we want to defend ourselves when we know when we know that we're not gonna win.

  SPEAKER_00: Because some people, no matter how much you show them even the proof, they're gonna believe what they want to believe.

  SPEAKER_00: So at the end of the day, you don't have to defend yourself.

  SPEAKER_00: God knows the truth, and you don't have to respond to every attack when God already has gone before you.

  SPEAKER_00: You see, I believe so much in God, I trust God so much with my life that I believe that nothing, nothing will happen unless God allows it.

  SPEAKER_00: And I believe with all my heart that when I pray, He hears.

  SPEAKER_00: You have that you have to have that unshakable faith that you know that you know that when you talk to God, he will answer you.

  SPEAKER_00: Open your Bible, quiet your spirit, and come with me to the secret place, that place where you feel like you're relaxing, you're hearing the word of God, you're being empowered through it.

  SPEAKER_00: You don't have to fight every battle.

  SPEAKER_00: So I want to give you the word that says, and we just read it, but I'm gonna give you this word because you know, this word should speak to your life, and it's the we're gonna read it again.

  SPEAKER_00: The Lord will fight for you, you need to only be still.

  SPEAKER_00: You know, there are times in our lives that there are battles God calls you to confront, he calls you to confront them, and there are battles he calls you to place it in his hands.

  SPEAKER_00: Because to be honest with you, sometimes we feel like we're losing.

  SPEAKER_00: You know why we're losing?

  SPEAKER_00: Because we think we can do God's job.

  SPEAKER_00: No, we gotta give it to God and let God do what he has to do.

  SPEAKER_00: Because imagine this if you respond to every accusation, every rumor, every misunderstanding, you can become so exhausted fighting things that God never assigned you to fight.

  SPEAKER_00: Sometimes we wanna we want God to help us, but we want to do God's job.

  SPEAKER_00: When you put something in God's hands, leave it in his hands, don't go after it, don't fight over it.

  SPEAKER_00: Sometimes faith looks like action, other times faith looks like being still enough to let God work.

  SPEAKER_00: Ask him, ask him for discernment, do not allow pride, because that's the problem.

  SPEAKER_00: The pride of the heart, the pride, to not allow the pride to convince you that you must always defend yourself.

  SPEAKER_00: God knows the truth even when people do not.

  SPEAKER_00: So, guess what?

  SPEAKER_00: Give it to God, place it in his hands and say, Father God, this belongs to you.

  SPEAKER_00: Let's say this prayer.

  SPEAKER_00: Father God, in the name of Jesus, we come before you, Father God, give us wisdom to know which battles require action and which ones we need to surrender to you, Lord.

  SPEAKER_00: Keep us from reaching, reacting out of pride, Father God, and reaching things that we shouldn't even reach, that we need to be still and give it to you.

  SPEAKER_00: Father God, deliver us from any temptation to want to fight back an eye for an eye.

  SPEAKER_00: And Father God, allow us to know that when we be still and put it in your hands, you're the God that works.
