Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following the same pattern of disobedience. — Hebrews 4:11Here is a paradox the world cannot understand: work to rest. The rest of God is not laziness—it is the Sabbath rest of the soul that has ceased from its own works, just as God did from His. We strive to enter through the narrow gate, not because it is hard to be saved, but because we are fighting against our own unbelief. The labor is believing; the rest is Christ.
