- 0:40can inspire confidence, strengthen your mind, and fuel your momentum.
- 0:44Whether you're returning or joining us for the first time, welcome to the community.
- 0:48Welcome, everyone!
- 0:49We're so glad you're here with us.
- 0:52As positive behavior therapists, Jordan and I are passionate about showing how
- 0:57intentional sound and proactive mental framing elevate daily life.
- 1:02The core purpose of the PTT Music Podcast is to take you behind the music,
- 1:08exploring the creative journeys and psychological strategies that empower you to
- 1:12thrive, celebrate every achievement, and live with purposeful energy.
- 1:17Today we're exploring how high performers sustain genuine joy in their achievements
- 1:22using evidence based positive behavior techniques.
- 1:26Ava, you were looking at a classic psychological study on how people evaluate their
- 1:30victories.
- 1:31Yes, exactly.
- 1:33I was reviewing that famous 1995 study by Victoria Medvec, Scott Madey,
- 1:37and Thomas Gilovich, published in the Journal of Personality and Social Psychology.
- 1:42They analyzed the immediate facial expressions of Olympic athletes right when they
- 1:48won their medals at the 1992 Barcelona Games.
- 1:52That study's such a fascinating look at human psychology and how we process high
- 1:56achievement.
- 1:57It really is.
- 1:59On a scale from one to ten, with one being absolute agony and ten being pure joy,
- 2:05bronze medalists scored an average of seven point one right after competing.
- 2:11Silver medalists scored an average of four point eight.
- 2:15That data shows us how powerful cognitive framing is when evaluating our
- 2:19accomplishments.
- 2:21As experts in positive behavior, understanding how people frame success gives us the
- 2:26tools to maintain pure joy and fulfillment in every achievement.
- 2:30Exactly.
- 2:31Psychologists call it counterfactual thinking.
- 2:34When people look upward at what could've been slightly different,
- 2:38they miss the incredible magnitude of what they actually accomplished.
- 2:43But when we anchor ourselves in gratitude for the victory right in front of us,
- 2:48our joy increases exponentially.
- 2:51That's the heart of positive behavior training.
- 2:53Instead of letting upward comparisons diminish your momentum,
- 2:57you can choose to focus on the incredible milestone you just reached.
- 3:01Standing on any podium in life's a massive win that deserves full celebration.
- 3:06In creative work, like songwriting, arrangement, and audio production,
- 3:10keeping that proactive, positive mindset's everything.
- 3:14Every time you complete a track or bring a new idea into reality,
- 3:18you've created something meaningful that moves people forward.
- 3:22Right.
- 3:22Completing a creative project's a monumental success.
- 3:26When artists celebrate every milestone with unshakeable confidence,
- 3:30they build unstoppable momentum for their next breakthrough.
- 3:33To keep yourself locked into that vibrant mindset, we advocate for a practice called
- 3:38the victory audit.
- 3:40The moment you achieve a goal, you immediately list three powerful ways you grew and
- 3:46succeeded through the process.
- 3:48That's such an empowering practice.
- 3:51You declare with clarity, I mastered a new level of excellence,
- 3:55I expressed my creative vision with complete authenticity, and I created real value
- 4:01that impacts lives.
- 4:02That immediately fills your mind with inspiration and purpose.
- 4:06And pairing that proactive focus with powerful, uplifting music takes your energy
- 4:12even higher.
- 4:14Music reinforces positive cognitive pathways and anchors your mind in strength and
- 4:20momentum.
- 4:21That brings to mind the PTT Music track, "Rise Above."
- 4:25When that driving production and inspiring vocal soar, it acts as an immediate
- 4:31physical trigger for confidence and clarity.
- 4:34"Rise Above" is a perfect example of sound with purpose.
- 4:38It immediately lifts your perspective and reminds you of your capacity to elevate
- 4:42above any circumstance.
- 4:44And that pairs seamlessly with the brand new PTT Music release called "Hurt."
- 4:49What's remarkable about "Hurt" from a positive behavior perspective is how it takes
- 4:54past challenges and transforms them entirely into unshakeable inner resilience and
- 4:59triumphant growth.
- 5:01It reminds listeners that every single trial's simply fuel for greater strength and
- 5:06higher achievement.
- 5:07"Hurt" delivers such a commanding message of victory.
- 5:11When those dynamic rhythms and empowering melodies drop, they act as an
- 5:16instantaneous sonic anchor alongside "Rise Above," locking your mind into confidence
- 5:22and proving how powerfully we can turn any test into our greatest testimony.
- 5:27It really demonstrates how intentional music and positive behavior training work in
- 5:31total harmony.
- 5:33Striving for high standards is wonderful, but celebrating every victory keeps your
- 5:38spirit vibrant, confident, and fueled for long term success.
- 5:42True achievement's about owning your wins with pride, gratitude,
- 5:46and purpose.
- 5:47When we celebrate our progress, every accomplishment becomes a solid foundation for
- 5:52our next big triumph.
- 5:53That proactive perspective turns every moment into fuel for inspiration.
- 5:59Keeping our thoughts centered on joy, strength, and continuous achievement empowers
- 6:04us to bring our absolute best to everything we do.
- 6:07And that's the essence of positive behavior: taking total ownership of our mindset,
- 6:13surrounding ourselves with motivating music, and choosing to thrive every step of
- 6:18the way.
- 6:19Well said, Ava.
