- Ben: Morning and welcome to your short term rental bulletin. The short term rentals industry's biggest European gathering is only three weeks away and the timing could not be more loaded. The short stay summit 2026 lands on April 22nd at Old Billingsgate in London, organised by the UK Short Term Accommodation Association. Over 1500 industry leaders from Airbnb, Booking.com to property managers, tech suppliers and policy makers will be in the room. The theme is tourism reimagined, but the real conversation will be about regulation. On May the 20th next month and just 28 days after the summit, the new EU regulation regarding short term rentals comes into force requiring platforms to share host data with national authorities every month. That's the enforcement infrastructure that makes every local cap, ban and fine actually stick. The summit agenda covers trends, technology and regulations regarding reshaping a short-term stay accommodation. But with Amsterdam halving its nightly cap this week, Barcelona winding down licences and the EU data clock running, this year's event is less inspiration session and more emergency briefing. If you're an operator, a manager or an investor in the European short-term rentals market, this is the room to be in the short stay summit in London. 22nd of April. That is your update for today. I'll see you tomorrow.
