- 1:10And yes, I am Errol Marx. I am the host of the show Jabba
- 1:13Chamberlain X New York Yankee over there, Speedy PD, our
- 1:17executive producer, Mr. Aaron Fish, Fishman, our Sports Minute
- 1:21and our well, actually, I'm sorry, our producer, I have to
- 1:25give him some credit here. Our producer, our sound
- 1:28technician guy, ladies in gentlemen, Tommy poops the
- 1:32scooper himself. He's pooping the scoops and he's
- 1:35working the board and he and and definitely smelling my nice
- 1:39little deucer over there. Ladies and gentlemen, as we do
- 1:42this every single week. It's been there for the last
- 1:44couple of weeks. We call this the one and only
- 1:47King of the hill. Here's the king.
- 1:51Of the hill, This, Bobby, is the beltline.
- 1:53You never ever hit below that. Not that kind of king of the
- 1:57hill. You dumb ready?
- 1:57Are you ready? This is King of the hill.
- 2:06I don't know what that was. What?
- 2:07The heck was saying? Yeah, what?
- 2:09What was that? Speedy Willy Whoppers.
- 2:12It was a whopper, it was a Willy whop.
- 2:15It was getting me a little out there.
- 2:16I was, I was, I was lighting up the electricity there and I was
- 2:19giving the king did. You like Whoppers when you were
- 2:22a kid? I did.
- 2:23I did. I still like Whoppers, you know.
- 2:25I like looking at them and I like eating them, if you know
- 2:27what I mean. I like the little ones you would
- 2:31get like the Halloween candy, not like the ones you get from
- 2:33like the movie theater, like the big box.
- 2:35Yes, I remember those whopper I You know who likes whoppers?
- 2:39Josh. Josh loves those Whoppers.
- 2:42I, I, I, I wasn't talking about those Whoppers, by the way, the
- 2:45candy Whoppers. Not my thing.
- 2:46I don't like the taste of those. I'm talking about the Willy
- 2:49Whop, Speedy, you know what I'm talking about Good old moms or,
- 2:52you know, you know, you know, belly bomber, as we call them,
- 2:55the Whoppers itself at the one and only McDonald's.
- 2:58I love those Whoppers or Burger King's Whopper.
- 3:01You know, those kind of things. Anyways, King of the Hill,
- 3:04ladies and gentlemen, I'm very happy to be here.
- 3:07Oh, look at that face. Oh God, look at that face.
- 3:10There is a lot of whopping through the Willy Wops.
- 3:13Irrelevance, as we always say. Somebody's got to be irrelevant
- 3:17on this show, Speedy, as we all say.
- 3:19Irrelevant. I'm not licking anyone.
- 3:21Well, if you're licking somebody and hopefully it's some
- 3:23something big and Milky as the milk dud himself.
- 3:27All right. Are we ready to do the King of
- 3:29the Hell? Right guys, let's start it up
- 3:33King of the hill it's a great game show where the winning
- 3:36player gets to take on the resident king and as he's the
- 3:40defending champion, Errol Marx is the king so Errol will judge
- 3:44the first two rounds. Round one, peasant fight
- 3:46everyone versus everyone, and you're going to have to answer a
- 3:50random trivia question and be put on the spot in like a
- 3:54lightning round. Then Errol will decide who the
- 3:56two finalists are in the joust and they will compete to face
- 4:00the king in Round 3, where all of his subjects will vote on if
- 4:04he gets to keep. Stop it.
- 4:06I don't know about the subjects I guess.
- 4:09It's a metaphor. Come on man, I don't want to
- 4:11scare anybody off that I'm some. Kind of king subjects, that's
- 4:14what you know, like it's like a scheme, you know what I mean?
- 4:17It's like a schema. I wish I was like friends with
- 4:20King Charles because then I can get all that money from England
- 4:23and I could buy myself my my team like Alex Rodriguez did.
- 4:27I love the Timberwolves. Could you imagine me on a
- 4:31basketball team, a baseball team?
- 4:32I would be a crazy owner. I could you imagine I am worse
- 4:37than Mark Cuban? I'd scare people away.
- 4:39I'd scare people away. I'm just have to be smarter
- 4:41enough not to hire Nico. I would never.
- 4:43What's the first thing you're doing as an owner?
- 4:46Watch sport. Watch sport.
- 4:47Let's say you bought the Dallas Mavericks.
- 4:49Why not? Because you just mentioned Mark
- 4:51Cuban. Let's Why not?
- 4:51Let's go. With that, if I bought the
- 4:53Dallas Mavericks, well, I got the number one pick.
- 4:56I'm I'm drafting Cooper flag. I'm drafting Cooper flag.
- 5:00There's number one right there. That automatically makes me a
- 5:03star. They didn't.
- 5:07They didn't let Cuban buy the Cubs.
- 5:09No, that's true. I I don't know why he would have
- 5:11been great for baseball. He would have great for.
- 5:13He rubs people the wrong way, doesn't he?
- 5:15They thought he was going to be Steinbrenner 2 point O.
- 5:18So then they sold him. Literally he was offering 1.2.
- 5:21They sold for 7:50 to obviously a family out of Omaha.
- 5:26But I was like, why wouldn't you take the extra 550?
- 5:29Because there were so many guys that I talked to and it's
- 5:32happening. They're like, I've seen what
- 5:33he's done with The Mavericks and he'll do everything to get those
- 5:37guys. He would have been George 2.0
- 5:39and got everybody over there and he won.
- 5:41I would have. I would have played for him
- 5:44100%. I think everybody would have
- 5:46played for Mark Cuban, and the guy knows how to make money.
- 5:49He also knows how to steal ideas and usually most billionaires
- 5:53steal everybody's ideas. They're not bad at doing that as
- 5:56a Shark Tank is one of the biggest and the best shows in
- 5:59all of media world, the media world.
- 6:02So and. They still, they get they get
- 6:04revenue off it anyways whether they sell it or.
- 6:06Not I know. We absolutely do because they're
- 6:08it's on the show and they sign a contract before they go on the
- 6:11show that if they're on the show and they're promoting their
- 6:13product, if if it ever, ever goes out there and makes it big
- 6:17or public, they're going to get a piece of it.
- 6:19So it's a pretty, it's pretty cool.
- 6:21It's pretty cool. Anyways, I'm ready.
- 6:23What are we doing? What are we?
- 6:26Doing all right, peasant. Fight the best shooters in NBA
- 6:31history, and we got to put a stop to some of this nonsense.
- 6:34Tommy scoops, stop looking things up.
- 6:36You're banned from Googling. All right?
- 6:39We know you're Googling. We know it.
- 6:42How do you Google people? But he could not Google.
- 6:44But he's not. He doesn't have to look at
- 6:46stats. Yes, he's Googling the top
- 6:49shooters in NBA history and he gets a list.
- 6:51I don't want to hear it. No, Google best shooters in NBA
- 6:56history. Here we go.
- 6:58I'll get We'll start it off with Tommy Scoops.
- 7:02Well, I mean, I know like it was kind of controversial when I
- 7:05picked Michael Jordan, but I don't know if it's going to be
- 7:07controversial with this. But the best shooter, Mr. Steph
- 7:10Curry, I mean, come on. Like the man just got the not
- 7:14just got, but two years ago, of course, just became the all time
- 7:173 point leader. The man has revolutionized, I
- 7:20know some people are very iffy about it, but has revolutionized
- 7:23the way that the three ball is shot.
- 7:25Steph Curry just nobody does it better than him when shooting
- 7:28the ball. So Steph Curry #1 all right.
- 7:33Spady. All right, let's go for one from
- 7:35the pre 3 point era Pistol Pete Maravich.
- 7:37There's a reason he got that nickname Pistol Pete.
- 7:39He was one of the all time leaders in college basketball is
- 7:42when in addition to being in the NBA with the back in the day,
- 7:44New Orleans Jazz. And again, that seemed to not
- 7:47that was an expansion team that seemed to not have a lot of
- 7:48talent around him. He could shoot like crazy at
- 7:51that time, which I think revolutionized just the concept
- 7:54of trying to be able to shoot that long.
- 7:57Jabba. I'm going to I'm going to go off
- 8:00the beaten path because it's funny that you bring this up
- 8:02because I was actually listening to Reggie Miller on Up in Smoke
- 8:06podcast and it was it not including him, right?
- 8:11And he's very underrated and he goes down because he is
- 8:16literally in Reggie's thing. And I'm going to go Drozen
- 8:18Petrovich. Wow.
- 8:21Being underrated and, and being from Yugoslavian and the
- 8:24Croatian league and then coming over here and doing the things
- 8:27it was, it was it was fun to see and like how these guys give
- 8:31respect to these other guys that don't really have the names that
- 8:34everybody else does. It's easy to give the Steph
- 8:36Curry's, the Reggie Miller's and whatever.
- 8:38That's why I loved, I try to go off the beaten path.
- 8:41Sometimes the stories aren't as great because there's not enough
- 8:43information and I didn't see some of these guys, but I love
- 8:46guys like that, that it made an impact on guys like Reggie
- 8:48Miller that have literally given respect to a guy that is known
- 8:54in the game. But the thing that he did as far
- 8:56as shooting the three and best shooters was, was definitely in
- 8:58the conversation. By the way, I agree with you,
- 9:00Josh Curry did ruin the game. I'm I'm not lying.
- 9:04That he's did that all year. I wish when didn't have baseball
- 9:08tonight with his son. I would, I would.
- 9:12Me and fish would go get some either chips or popcorn because
- 9:15just sit here. Just listen to you.
- 9:18Josh is trying to be the first commenter to to advance to the
- 9:21next round. Well, I haven't heard my answer
- 9:24yet, and I'm going with one of the guys, Errol.
- 9:27That LeBron Miami Heat team was pretty great, you know, And then
- 9:30the Spurs did beat him, but there was somebody else who beat
- 9:32him too. We know who we're talking about.
- 9:35One of the best shooting big men of all time, Dirk Novitz.
- 9:38Oh, you went with Dirk, OK. I'm going to Dirk.
- 9:42Dirk was a 504090 guy shooting percentages. 50 from the field,
- 9:4740 from 390 from the line. That's pretty good for a power
- 9:53forward. You know in the league. 7 feet
- 9:56tall, could get off any shot against any defense.
- 9:58This guy won a title, put the team on his back.
- 10:01Had some great role players, older Jason Kidd.
- 10:04But we know that Dirk was magic with the touch.
- 10:08Interesting. Back to Tommy.
- 10:12I'm going to go Kobe Bryant. You know, Kobe Bryant, of
- 10:15course, being a side, one of the best or most clutch players of
- 10:19all time. He knew how to hit the big shots
- 10:20not only when he had of course Shaq, but by himself, with pal
- 10:24Gasol leading the team. The two of them, of course.
- 10:26Being one of the. Most dominant duo honestly, in
- 10:30that that span of when they were going to the finals, like every
- 10:32other year against the Celtics had that great year against the
- 10:35match. I don't care.
- 10:36So Kobe Bryant, of course, like I said, one of the most clutch
- 10:39players of all time, Best playoff players of.
- 10:40All time let's not let's. Make him my #2 greatest shooter
- 10:44of all time. All right.
- 10:46Speedy, another shooter that changed the game and won a lot
- 10:50of championships as well. That's Larry Bird, really the
- 10:52first legend of that three-point era that started in the early
- 10:5580s. Obviously he played a little bit
- 10:56without the three-point line too, but his height, obviously
- 10:59his creativity with the ball on just doing it like I was saying
- 11:02with Kobe in the in the playoffs for so long really was that
- 11:05transcending guy for a wing a three or a four that could shoot
- 11:07like that. And guys like Kevin Durant claim
- 11:09that they're better than and they're not.
- 11:11Larry Bird is for a power, for a small 4 power forward type, the
- 11:15greatest shooter we've seen. Jabba.
- 11:18Damn it, Speedy, I was like, all right, if he's I knew you might
- 11:22still go back old school after after pistol feet, but I got to
- 11:26take Jesus Shuttlesworth. I mean it's just it's tough not
- 11:29to. And as we were talking about the
- 11:32T wolves earlier, which the original team he was drafted by,
- 11:36but then went to the Bucks. He was drafted by them 5th
- 11:39overall in the first round. And I was I mean, I was a kid
- 11:43that grew up on the court. So it was like one of those
- 11:46heard movies that you kind of went towards and you know, you
- 11:49win championships, you play with different teams and you know,
- 11:54you set all these records as one of the most clutch 3 point
- 11:57shooter and shooters of all time.
- 11:59I just it, it was just fun to watch.
- 12:01And and the one thing that I respected a lot about Ray Allen,
- 12:03you never heard about him. He just went about his business
- 12:07and, and was somebody that was very, very professional and,
- 12:10and, and dead that and kind of kind of stayed out of what he
- 12:13was doing with with what he could have done.
- 12:15And so he he's got to be up there for me.
- 12:18Stole it from me Java. Well, I.
- 12:21Was he's stole bird for me. That's true.
- 12:25You know, I like to. Go old school.
- 12:26There's so. Many let me out do out do the
- 12:29old school on you and go back a couple more generations to the
- 12:33logo himself, Jerry West, you know, guy who made shooting, you
- 12:38know, from distance kind of in vogue in the league, you know,
- 12:41from the first place. The guy's shot is so iconic, the
- 12:45logo of the league is him taking the shot.
- 12:49Jerry West. Last ones, Tommy.
- 12:52All right, I'm going. I'm surprised nobody actually
- 12:54said it, but I'm going with Reggie Miller.
- 12:56Reggie Miller, of course, on charting on top of the three
- 13:01pointer list of all time, of course, 3 point.
- 13:04I'm good, I'm all good. All right, but yeah, basically
- 13:06Reggie Miller, no one did it better at his time period at
- 13:08shooting the ball. Reggie Miller of course, never
- 13:11won anything. But however, you know there,
- 13:14there's nothing to say against the shooting ability, there's
- 13:16nothing to say against the shooting prowess.
- 13:18And you know, you know for sure he was going to hit big clutch
- 13:20shots and then playoffs as well, too.
- 13:21So give me Reggie Miller. You guys.
- 13:28Know who goes after each other? Why are you waiting?
- 13:30Just go. Let's go.
- 13:32Yeah, I'm I'm going to go with another another older example.
- 13:34We'll go back to the 90s too. And a guy Arrow likes to Clyde
- 13:37Drexler, I think a guy that the Houston Rockets obviously
- 13:40transformed that team Portland great years for a while.
- 13:42Kind of that three pre 3 point shooting, not pre 3 point
- 13:45shooting era, but early 3 point shooting era.
- 13:47I think definitely was a guy that did well creating his own
- 13:50shots too with until he went to Houston.
- 13:52Not a lot of talent around him. Jabba yeah, I another one too.
- 13:57And and this probably isn't going to get me the best of the
- 13:59best, right? But Pager Stoyakovich and, you
- 14:03know, just the way he did it in the finals, like and it was, it
- 14:07was weird because like I said, I was listening to Reggie talk
- 14:09about these guys and obviously you know him, but when he was
- 14:13with the Kings and like, what was it?
- 14:14The late 90s, early 2000s and he could createspace for like web
- 14:19and all those guys. I I just think he extended the
- 14:22floor and, and was a huge shoot. I think was that old Vladi too?
- 14:25I think that was on that team. One of the most GM's ever, yeah.
- 14:30Yeah. And he just, his efficiency rate
- 14:33was almost 40% from from threes and and on the field.
- 14:37So it's just one that I like to go to where it's not an obvious,
- 14:41Obviously Ray Allen was an obvious, but those two were kind
- 14:45of ones where I looking at the numbers and see their efficiency
- 14:47rates was was pretty impressive and they're not super huge
- 14:50names. Paige Tayakovich amazing in
- 14:54video game basketball. 100%. Amazing hit every shot.
- 14:59I'm going to go with Kevin Durant.
- 15:02Kevin Durant, 7 foot tall, shooting guard basically in the
- 15:06for most of his career, could transition to be more of a
- 15:08traditional forward as he. Got older.
- 15:10Why did he? Why did he never say he wanted
- 15:12to be listed at 7 foot but like, there'd be dudes standing next
- 15:15to him? They're listed 71.
- 15:16He's taller. It's, it's strange.
- 15:19I, I think he's probably 7-1 and change at this point.
- 15:23I think when he came into the league he was only 611.
- 15:26But regardless, he's one of the most unstoppable shots in NBA
- 15:30history. How are you supposed to stop a
- 15:32shot from a guy who's 7 foot tall and the shooting like one
- 15:35of the best 2, you know, shooting percentage, 2 guards of
- 15:38all time. He's got one of them.
- 15:40He's got the championships to back it up.
- 15:42He was the best player on the Warriors team that had the
- 15:46alleged best shooter of all time bet for this list, and he was
- 15:50better than him in that series. In those series, I got to go
- 15:53with Kevin Durant. Errol, pick your two for the
- 15:56joust. You guys forgot about Steve
- 15:58Kerr. I can go on and on and.
- 16:00On I was going to go Steve Kerr if Jabba took Durant on that.
- 16:03One, there's a lot of them, there's a lot of good shooters,
- 16:05but. I almost dropped a mark price.
- 16:08Mark Price was a pretty good 3 point shooter.
- 16:10Yeah, there was a, there's a couple of really good ones.
- 16:12You guys miss Fish and Jabba. I mean, Fish and Speedy are the
- 16:17ones that I I like the most, but Jabba wasn't too far off.
- 16:20I obviously everybody went well. Everybody went with the obvious
- 16:23ones, but the ones that really start speedy went with Clyde
- 16:26Drexel. I was very surprised he went
- 16:28with that and I like Clyde the glide.
- 16:30So I'm I'm going to give him a like a thumbs up on that because
- 16:34everybody knows what I feel about him.
- 16:35So what I'm going to go, obviously I can't go with fish,
- 16:39you know, because fish is hosting.
- 16:41I like speedy and fish and fish. If you want to move on and and
- 16:45try your opportunity, but you you.
- 16:48Can't. It doesn't matter to me.
- 16:49It's it's up to you guys. Dude, I want to.
- 16:51I want to see it. I.
- 16:52I think I should move on. All right, so.
- 16:54Speedy and fish all right. Speedy and fish all.
- 16:56Right me a job around Speedy. It's time to go to the joust,
- 17:03and the joust tonight will be best handles of all time.
- 17:09Speedy. Yes, of course we're meeting
- 17:11dribbling skills. You can start first.
- 17:14All right, Allen Iverson, I think it seems like the obvious
- 17:17one here for a guy that was his size too, could do it in error.
- 17:20That was very tough to play. And still one of those Errol
- 17:22talks about all the time, one of the transitions from when the
- 17:25rules went from the physical 90s play to the 2000s, early 2000s
- 17:29play. And he dealt with both of those
- 17:30too. And a guy that was very
- 17:32undersized, we talked about all the time, not, not a lot of
- 17:34talent around him. So he really had to create for
- 17:36himself too and put up some unbelievable numbers considering
- 17:40that. Amidst all that and some of the
- 17:41best highlights you'll see. I got to go with Kyrie Irving.
- 17:45Kyrie Irving, most unstoppable offensive player in his prime
- 17:50with the handles he can get to the basket.
- 17:51One NBA championship with with his handles driving to the
- 17:55basket. That guy, you say what you will
- 17:58about him and there's plenty to say about Kyrie Irving.
- 18:02Everyone knows his handles are best close to you know, if not
- 18:05best of all time, way way up there speedy.
- 18:08All right, I'll transition to Derrick Rose.
- 18:10Before he had that knee injury he had was as electric as it
- 18:13gets when it comes to dribbling the ball, driving to the hoop,
- 18:16really crafty switching hand to hand.
- 18:18I think that made a big difference to where his career
- 18:21going. Obviously won the MVP in that
- 18:232010 season and I think he was kind of transitioning at the
- 18:26time to become that next version of Allen Iverson until obviously
- 18:30he had all the knee injuries. I don't think he was as good of
- 18:32an overall score offensive player, but still I think he
- 18:35definitely deserves to be up there with the ball handling.
- 18:39Well, I'll, I'll trade you that, but I want white chocolate,
- 18:44white chocolate Williams. Jason Williams played basketball
- 18:49in high school with Randy Moss, by the way, comes into the
- 18:53league, goes through college and is just maybe not the greatest
- 18:57player of all time, but had all the highlight passes, every
- 19:00single one. He was like he was in the N1
- 19:02mixtapes, but he was doing it in the NBA.
- 19:06Jason Williams, white chocolate, speedy.
- 19:08And I'll round it out with the prime Russell Westbrook after
- 19:10that, and obviously physical ball handler too.
- 19:13We can attack another one like Derrick Rose could switch hands
- 19:15very well too in his prime. Obviously there's a reason he
- 19:18got all those triple double S. He can handle the ball as good
- 19:20as anyone and draw fouls. Draw the contact for a physical
- 19:23point guard. I mean, the crossover I always
- 19:27tried to mimic and do terribly. That was my guy Jamal Crawford,
- 19:32who was just absolutely a savage on offense.
- 19:36He put him in 6th man of the year one time.
- 19:38Started a lot. What?
- 19:40Listen, not a great defensive player.
- 19:41Those teams didn't win. But when you had to cut somebody
- 19:45up and get to the hoop or get an open shot, Jamal Crawford was
- 19:48going to be that instant offense for your team.
- 19:51Errol, who's moving on? It's a good one.
- 19:55It's a good one and I like Derrick Rose.
- 19:58Obviously we like, you know, I love Allen Iverson and I like
- 20:01Jason Williams too. I'll go with Speedy.
- 20:09I'll go with Speedy. It's very close.
- 20:11It's very close. It's.
- 20:13Very All right, so let's get Tommy back in here is.
- 20:15Very close. It was very close.
- 20:17I I could argue. I could argue that so.
- 20:20I I it was a good fight, you know, but I just got knocked off
- 20:23the horse in the joust one time too many going on to the taking
- 20:27on the king, Speedy and Errol. Errol, you decide who goes
- 20:31first. Best post players of all time
- 20:36Anyone playing inside Errol. I know this is one of the more
- 20:39favorite ways of playing basketball that you appreciate,
- 20:42not this five out Steph Curry crap.
- 20:44So let's hear your best post players of all time, boys.
- 20:49All right, so I'm going to go 1st.
- 20:51I'm going to go if there's no you can't even argue this Hakeem
- 20:55the dream Elijah Wan. I mean, he was the best post
- 21:00player. This fadeaway jumper.
- 21:01I remember this guy never played basketball until he was 1819
- 21:06years old and he was drafted. He was a soccer player and he
- 21:09came into the NBA and we really want to play college ball in
- 21:12Houston. And then he was drafted by the
- 21:14Houston Rockets and light that really lit the NBA on fire
- 21:18really developed the post game. Everybody wanted a copycat.
- 21:21If you look at all the post players still to the game still
- 21:25to in the league right now, you can compare his post ability.
- 21:29Even Patrick Ewing copied his post ability.
- 21:32It was Hakeem Olajuwon. Hakeem Olajuwon the best post
- 21:35player in NBA history. Yeah, that was the first one I
- 21:38was going to take as well. So I'll go with Tim Duncan too.
- 21:40Mr. Fundamental, obviously great defensive player, but also could
- 21:43dribble, could pass the ball very well, space the floor very
- 21:45well as a as a defender at that time and an offensive player for
- 21:50a Spurs team that again was coached with David Robinson too.
- 21:53But he was. It was Tim Duncan that really
- 21:55took it on. All right, back to Errol, OH.
- 21:59Come on, man, you can't really take it away from this guy,
- 22:01arguably one of the greatest offensive players and post
- 22:03players. And by the way, there is
- 22:06somebody that brought this hook into the league.
- 22:10Kareem Abdul Jabbar, as we all know, was a world champion when
- 22:17he came out of college and then went to Milwaukee and really
- 22:20bought his game to Milwaukee. And then obviously went to the
- 22:23Lakers and went unbelievably so many times with Magic Johnson.
- 22:28And, and was one of the best, was the best big man offensive
- 22:31player of all time. His ability to go into the post
- 22:36and just dominate and was almost impossible to defend.
- 22:39Offensively gifted in every kind of way.
- 22:43Kareem of Dolgepark. Yeah, I'll go with another past
- 22:45legend as well. I got to go Wilt Chamberlain on
- 22:47this one. A guy that obviously the the
- 22:49arrow is a little different with him too.
- 22:50So I think Kareem is a little better than Will, but I think a
- 22:52guy that's still definitely Dominique could switch hands
- 22:54very well. And again, as physical as it
- 22:57gets in that time as well, still with his height, being very
- 23:00crafty with the ball and having his post play really be tough.
- 23:04All right, my final guy, the most dominant player in the NBA
- 23:09for six years, Impossible to stop in the post.
- 23:12Shaquille O'Neal, dominant force, can get into the the post
- 23:18and absolutely dominate, ripping basketball, basketball hoops
- 23:22down. Just an unbelievable dominant
- 23:24player. Once he got into the paint, you
- 23:27got to get the hell out away from the freight train.
- 23:29The guy ran you over, pulling things down, beating people up.
- 23:33Shaquille O'Neal. Unbelievable.
- 23:35I'll round it out with with Karl Malone.
- 23:37I think Karl Malone definitely was wondering one of the biggest
- 23:39scores on the inside game, the mid range game as well.
- 23:42Obviously he didn't have the defensive prowess in the same
- 23:43way, but his raw offensive post game and in the toughest era of
- 23:47basketball until we talk about the 90s with the rules all the
- 23:49time. I I think that I'll go Carmelo,
- 23:52my last one. All right, so we're going to
- 23:55vote on this now. I'll start off the voting.
- 23:59I got to give it to Errol. I mean Shaquille O'Neal check,
- 24:03Kareem Otul Jabbar check, Hakeem Olajuwon check.
- 24:06I, I, I might went with those 3 for top three myself.
- 24:10That's a great job. And you got to do that by
- 24:12trading picks with Speedy. Hard to argue, Jabba.
- 24:17What do you think? I yeah, I'm going to, I'm going
- 24:19to give you some, some negative points, Errol, because he didn't
- 24:24win the college national championship as Kareem Abdul
- 24:27Jabbar. He was actually Lou Alcindor, so
- 24:30I'm going to take that away from spitting on your facts.
- 24:33That was Kareem and Jules Jabbard.
- 24:34It was just a different name he changed.
- 24:36His name? His.
- 24:37When he was Mama named him Lou Alcindor.
- 24:39Yeah, when he went, when he became, when he became Muslim,
- 24:42just like Muhammad Ali, he it was the same, but.
- 24:44He was on UCLA as Lou Alcindor, not cream.
- 24:47Of which part? He still was so.
- 24:48If you're going to talk facts, we got to get them right.
- 24:51He did won a national championship, so that's all I'm
- 24:53going to say. Yeah, as Lou Alcindor, whatever
- 24:55I was, I was, I wanted somebody to get it to jot a George Miken,
- 24:59but nobody did. I loved it because he changed.
- 25:02He changed the width of the paint.
- 25:04He created the mic and drill, just about other things.
- 25:06But Errol, yeah, it's like Speedy.
- 25:08If he would have got Shaq, it would have been real close.
- 25:10But Errol, I got to give it to you.
- 25:11Yeah, when it comes to Speedy's list, I think Speedy got good
- 25:14people that scored like good scores when you were in the
- 25:16post. But when you talk about
- 25:19physicality and scoring, there's no one that did it better.
- 25:21Of course, then Hakeem, then Shaq, and of course then Mr.
- 25:25Kareem Abdul Jabbar with one of the most.
- 25:26Well, like I said, Hakeem's still teaching these guys.
- 25:30Like, yeah, he's still playing. And like, Dream.
- 25:32Shakes the most legendary post move of all time in my opinion.
- 25:35That or this guy fucking you put both of them.
- 25:37Just think about think about Kareem Abdul Jabbard.
- 25:41He was the best offensive player until guess who broke his
- 25:45record? LeBron James.
- 25:47This was this guy was the best offensive player in NBA history,
- 25:51OK. And this guy he did it in the
- 25:53post. It wasn't he was shooting 3
- 25:55pointers. This guy would get into the post
- 25:58and dominate sky. He he brought the sky hook to
- 26:01the NBA. And then obviously the the dream
- 26:05who by the way, to this day, everybody works out with Kareem
- 26:09Abdul. I mean Kareem Abdul, Hakeem
- 26:11Olajuwon in the offseason, all the post players, even the non
- 26:14post players are trying to learn.
- 26:17Hakeem Olajuwon's got to be in his 60s now.
- 26:20Got to be, I think it's probably like late 50s or 60s. 62 I just
- 26:25looked it up. He's in his. 60s All right, so I
- 26:27guess we're done. The king gets to stay a king.
- 26:30One more week. Errol, congratulations.
- 26:33You are still King of the Hill. Listen, I like Speedies picks.
- 26:36I love the mailman. I loved Carl Malone and there's
- 26:38no doubt that he was there and I all the guys that he picked.
- 26:42You can argue that Tim Duncan is one of my favorite players.
- 26:45I I Mr. Fundamental, the guy was a great defender.
- 26:49He did so many things so great. But when you look at the best
- 26:54post players, you're thinking the Diesel for five years, he
- 26:58was impossible. And they hack a shot on both
- 27:01ends and every kind of end, if you know what I mean.
- 27:04Especially as big as he is. I heard it's not that one of the
- 27:08one of the Knicks clubhouse guys that I know said it's not as as
- 27:11big as you thought it would be. Well, I don't want to know what
- 27:13the the guys in with the Knicks. Club.
- 27:14I'm just saying because I want. I wanted to know.
- 27:17I you. You want to know how big he is
- 27:19in his pants? Oh man, Speedy. 100%.
- 27:21Speedy, how do you think? What?
- 27:23Do you think I'm? Not, I mean, give us an inch.
- 27:25I know not giving inch. Inches.
- 27:26What do you think? I don't care.
- 27:27Just give me an inch. 4 whatever, 4 inches.
- 27:32If you told Shaquille O'Neal that he had a four inch, you
- 27:35know what? He'd smack you in the face.
- 27:38I'll talk about that in front of freaking shack.
- 27:41I'm going to say about 20 inches.
- 27:43I I think it's long, 2020 inches, man.
- 27:45I mean, that guy, you know, hangs.
- 27:47Dude, look at the girls. Look at the girls.
- 27:50Dude, look at the girls. Almost. 2 feet of pecker like
- 27:54are we? I mean, Ovie probably knows all
- 27:56about it. You know, Ovie, I mean.
- 27:58That's that's like my 2 monitors set up.
- 28:01Hey listen, I I mean the first thing if I.
- 28:04Thought I had. A If I was training with
- 28:06Shaquille O'Neal the I wouldn't want to look.
- 28:09But if this guy's walking in the locker room naked, I for one
- 28:13time I have to look down and and and figure what he's carrying,
- 28:16man, I mean. Absolutely.
- 28:18We we always. Do I, I don't, I definitely
- 28:21don't want to look. But for somebody like that guy,
- 28:24I, I definitely got to, I got to check what he's carrying.
- 28:27But that's just me anyways. That might be you, but it looks
- 28:31like our guest is here despite having the fire.
- 28:34All right, and I'm going to pop out boys.
- 28:36All right, I I know Ovie's probably sick to his stomach,
- 28:40but hey, you know what? Speaking of sick, but I how are
- 28:44you feeling? I mean, I know.
- 28:45There's Ovie's Everything good, everything good.
- 28:47Over there, everything's good. It's, it's like, you know, it's
- 28:50a baby fire. Unfortunately it's it's life
- 28:52lifing. You guys have kids y'all, y'all
- 28:55children, you guys fathers just despite job is the only one job.
- 28:58Is the only one the only one? The only father, yeah.
- 29:02So it's like at a certain point in your life when the other
- 29:06gentleman become fathers, you're going to have your kids do some
- 29:10of the shenanigans that you did. And as mad as you want to get,
- 29:14you can't be too mad because you remember you making some of
- 29:17those same dumb ass mistakes and when it happened, when when they
- 29:22do it, you're like. So.
- 29:28So mine was a frozen pizza but he left the cardboard in with
- 29:31it. I've done that.
- 29:35I thought I thought it was waffles or something of that
- 29:38magnitude. That's why when Jabba said, oh,
- 29:40tell me, don't, don't come on. I said it's probably a small
- 29:44kids thing where somebody left the towel by the microwave or
- 29:47the, the, the toaster oven. So it's a it wasn't an actual
- 29:52like fire. It was a metaphor for putting
- 29:55out like a, a semi big thing. We were just, we, we thought
- 30:00that there was rampant fraud going on in our My American
- 30:04Express card. And so we were like, what the
- 30:06hell is going on? Like there's all these random
- 30:09charges and there's all these, you know, 99, there's like $399
- 30:13charges in one day. And so we're tracking it down.
- 30:15It's insane. It's like the killers inside the
- 30:18house. Like it's coming from you.
- 30:19It's coming from your, your Apple ID.
- 30:21If you're in, in Apple. This is weird thing that annoys
- 30:23me. They have this apple.com forward
- 30:27slash bill Internet charge and so they put all your charges in
- 30:32one. And so I'm like, I didn't buy
- 30:33this, I didn't order this. So it ended up my 13 year old
- 30:37daughter was doing 13 year old daughter things and she was
- 30:39buying, I kid you not, thousands of in app purchases a month.
- 30:45Oh, on on. Like on her phone.
- 30:46On her phone, on her, I have had thousands of dollars.
- 30:49Thankfully they like they, they they're going to refund us like
- 30:52$3400. Thank you, Apple, because I was,
- 30:56I was, I was livid. I was hot.
- 30:58Amex. Amex is really good at that.
- 31:00Yeah, they they are. Apple did a great job as well as
- 31:03saying, hey, we know this wasn't, you know, intentional
- 31:05Amex, like, hey, we know this was intentional.
- 31:06So Amex is going to take off a couple $1000, Apple take off a
- 31:11couple $1000. But I remember doing a similar
- 31:15thing when I was younger in my teens, we didn't have the all
- 31:20the Apple stuff, but we had on demand movies and I would just
- 31:26watch movies all day. I would just out there and just
- 31:29click and click and I order all these movies and some of them
- 31:32were rated R and and not, you know, for 12/13 on the watch,
- 31:36but I was just like, oh, I rated R movie.
- 31:39I saw a side movie. I think, Oh, this is great.
- 31:42And and so like, I just did this for months and months and months
- 31:45And I remember when my parents finally caught me and I was just
- 31:49so like it. It gets this way once you get
- 31:52away with something, you feel like you're invincible.
- 31:53If you feel like, hey, do this as much as I want, There's you
- 31:57don't have a concept of money, so you just spend what you want
- 32:00anyway. So parents finally caught me and
- 32:02they were upset and she, my daughters look lucky.
- 32:04I have Nigerian parents that use frying pans and belts and, you
- 32:09know, vacuum cords to, to beat children.
- 32:11And I think I'm stronger for it. But we're not allowed to do
- 32:15that. This.
- 32:17And I'm also scarred from the beatings I took so.
- 32:20I had I had crutches and batteries.
- 32:23Yeah, yeah, I think I've like spanked my kids like 5 times my
- 32:26whole life, but my wife is disciplinary.
- 32:28So anyways, Long story short, it's not a real fire.
- 32:32It was a. Metaphorical fire.
- 32:33I didn't think it was. I didn't think it was.
- 32:35That's why I said though I I'm sure Ovie's going to come on.
- 32:38It's probably something with the like with the kids.
- 32:41Yeah. At the time, though, I had one
- 32:43phone with American Express, 1 phone with Apple TV.
- 32:45My daughter's sitting here crying.
- 32:46My wife's trying to deal with it.
- 32:47I have you guys like, hey, Ovie, we got this interview.
- 32:50I'm like, fuck the interview. Like, I got shit to do.
- 32:51Like, yeah, so. But like we were able to
- 32:56decelerate or, you know, get things calm down.
- 32:59And So what, everything's fine, right?
- 33:01I will say, I will say this, I'm watching the Knick game and it's
- 33:05typical Knicks who they, they have a 20 point lead and they're
- 33:09letting Indiana come back into the game and, and they're
- 33:12letting Josh Hart shoot threes, open 3 pointers and can't hit a
- 33:16lick. The guy needs to stop shooting
- 33:17threes and draw fouls and go to the free throw line because the
- 33:21guy, and now we have, we have Robertson, Mitchell Robertson at
- 33:25the line who can't hit a lick over there either.
- 33:27It's it's typical New York next they're they're going to do
- 33:30whatever it takes to lose this game.
- 33:32It's typical. Anyways, we are talking to New
- 33:34York. Yeah, well, thank you.
- 33:36We are talking to former Ravens and Falcons all pro full back
- 33:40our friend Ovie Moo Haley. Now Ovie, the Atlanta Falcons
- 33:46made some interesting moves at at the draft and one of the
- 33:51moves was a lot of it was very surprising.
- 33:54As we all know, there was a Philadelphia Eagles GM that was
- 33:59absolutely shocked when they traded away next year's first
- 34:03round draft pick to move up into the first round to draft 2 very
- 34:09talented defensive players. But did they overspend that
- 34:13draft pick to get the player they wanted?
- 34:16Your thoughts to this year's first round double draft packs?
- 34:21I am ecstatic. And Terry Fontenot we trust and
- 34:26in my own personal podcast believe in Falcons, BLEAV and I
- 34:30believe the way you regularly spell it, believe in Falcons
- 34:32myself, Michael Turner. We talk about how in Terry
- 34:37Fontenot we trust our our GM who for years and years over at the
- 34:41Saints was able to make magic and even though they had no
- 34:45salary cap, he found ways for them to be competitive and beat
- 34:48our ass several times. So to have Terry Fontenot here
- 34:51and to have the brilliant Michael Pennix move, which a lot
- 34:54of people actually who pooed on, I actually said that it was
- 34:58going to happen first of all. And it did happen and I thought
- 35:00it was a brilliant move. But he now is making another
- 35:03brilliant move because he's not going to be here, guys, like
- 35:06he's not going to be here, nor is Raheem.
- 35:10If we have another mediocre 7 and 88 and 7-8 and eight, nine
- 35:16and what, another like year where we're just not getting to
- 35:21the heights that we need to be at, there's going to be no Terry
- 35:24Fortner. So he's like, forget giving a
- 35:27first round pick for next year. We got to win now.
- 35:30And if we do like what the Eagles did, they went all in for
- 35:32Saquon Barkley. They went all in for all their
- 35:34big pieces. They won the Super Bowl.
- 35:35No one cares what they had to give up to get there.
- 35:39No one cares or is going to care what we gave up when we're
- 35:42winning the NFC South in the playoffs, surprising people by
- 35:47being an underdog and a dark horse, beating some teams that
- 35:49are better than us, and then back at the Super Bowl, no one
- 35:52cares. That's where we're going.
- 35:53So the last time we had you on the show was actually right
- 35:55before they made the Cousins panic switch.
- 35:58And you were saying at the time and like the time of it was
- 36:00strange. So what are your thoughts with
- 36:01the little bit you saw with panics at the end of the season
- 36:04and then keeping Cousins on the roster when people thought they
- 36:06were either going to cut him or trade him?
- 36:09My thoughts are that I actually was with Michael Pennix's family
- 36:13for the first annual Falcons Fan cruise that Royal Caribbean put
- 36:17on, and it was amazing. It's about 10 former players
- 36:20like myself and Michael Pennix's mom and some of his aunties were
- 36:24there and we had dinner with the fans and got a chance just to
- 36:28hear some old Michael Pennix stories from him growing up and
- 36:31everything else. He comes from good stock, good
- 36:33family, and he has a great arm. So I feel very confident that
- 36:39not only the character of the guy that we're getting, but the
- 36:43talent and the the the want to the desire, just the opportunity
- 36:47to take us to a place that we've been begging to be in in so
- 36:52long. And people kind of forget as big
- 36:55and bad and beautiful as Mercedes-Benz Stadium is, it's
- 36:58yet to have a winning season, which is it's, it's crazy.
- 37:01That's insane. Like the Mercedes-Benz Stadium
- 37:03where Kendrick Lamar and sis were performing and I was in
- 37:06Arthur Blank suite and we were out there enjoying it.
- 37:09And it's just like a Tasha Hall for all things sports and
- 37:13entertainment. Yet it's not a winning Taj
- 37:15Mahal. It's just a building that the
- 37:18Falcons have yet to christen with a winning season.
- 37:21Michael Pennix is going to change that.
- 37:22So I think it's great for Falcons fans to actually have a
- 37:26quarterback that from beginning to end can give us a high level
- 37:31of QB play because Kirk Cousins, he gave us a good 345 games, but
- 37:36then he fell all the way off, which for a reason.
- 37:39Well, you guys have Maddie Ice too.
- 37:41I mean, Maddie Ice gave you No, no Matthew right here.
- 37:44Matt Maddie was great. He's a Hall of Famer.
- 37:46By the way, Matthew Maddie Ice is definitely going to be in the
- 37:49Hall of Fame, no question. How about the fact that he's a
- 37:52Hall of Famer? But there are Falcons fans that
- 37:54just love to hate him. They say Matt was the problem.
- 37:58They say Matt the reason we didn't win a Super Bowl.
- 37:59They say Matt was, you know, not clutch and all that Matt Ryan
- 38:04hate can't be said around me because I'll, I will drop kick a
- 38:07lady in the throat like I, I just, you ain't gonna talk with
- 38:10my quarterback. I, I, I, I don't like it.
- 38:12Like I had fans that were on the cruise that were talking crazy
- 38:15on Matt Ryan. Like, you know what?
- 38:16I just, I just can't get past that Matt Ryan just, you know,
- 38:19stalling the franchise. I'm like, did you see what
- 38:21happened when he left the, the Marcus Mariota's and the Desmond
- 38:24Ritter's even the Kirk Cousins that didn't build shoes on their
- 38:29best day. So it's always greener on the
- 38:32other side until you get over there.
- 38:34So again, I'm a little biased. That's my quarterback.
- 38:36It's my quarterback. But I feel like he's a Hall of
- 38:40Famer, obviously a Ring of Honor Falcon player and somebody who
- 38:46every QB that comes to Atlanta should try, should just attempt
- 38:49to be half as good as he was because he's one of the best.
- 38:53Yeah, it's it's it's amazing to me how you say like what Arthur
- 38:57Blink built and and how Mercedes-Benz and I kind of want
- 39:02to switch gears as they were talking about the draft and
- 39:05whatever. Like we've obviously heard talks
- 39:06about like the volunteer OTAs and the OTAs.
- 39:09Like do you think with like with a guy like Penix or with in any
- 39:13situation, how important are those?
- 39:15Or like do people overplay them with how important they are to
- 39:19like create relationships or to understand schemes or just to
- 39:23like just be with each other and like just kind of get a feel of
- 39:26like, hey, let's go to lunch. Like let's grab dinner.
- 39:29Like, hey, maybe our your wives meet or you know, whatever the
- 39:31case may be, do you think that translates into this season a
- 39:35little bit? Or is it kind of just people
- 39:36blow it out of proportion? Because I've seen it both ways.
- 39:39Yeah, it's you don't want to, you know, have a foot in each
- 39:44side of the fence and say, well, it's a little bit this and that.
- 39:46It's both. But but it it, it depends.
- 39:50And I forget what the guy's name, Cleveland Browns and Myron
- 39:55the the big defensive end, the Mercedes wanted out the Browns.
- 39:58And now he's like, oh, money, I'll stay here.
- 40:00We're talking about there you go, Miles Garrett.
- 40:03Miles Garrett and his fiance, wife, girlfriend, whatever.
- 40:06I think she's an Olympic like stud or something like that.
- 40:10He's out called Anime Fest. And I saw an article about, you
- 40:13know, he's missing OTAs. Oh my God, Miles Garrett can
- 40:16miss as many OTAs as he was. He can show up the day before
- 40:19practice and still out their ball like there are certain
- 40:22people who have been able to. Earn the right to not go all out
- 40:30like at his age and with what he's done and with how you know
- 40:33he's going to be prepared for the season.
- 40:36Don't talk to me about, you know, boohoo, he's kind of OTAs.
- 40:39He's not being a leader. Yes, it'd be nice in a perfect
- 40:43world, but just like I'm, you know, when I was with the
- 40:47Ravens, Ray Lewis didn't come to every single OTA came to the
- 40:50mandatory, but he can't. But for the non mandatory OTAs
- 40:55guys who are Hall of farmers were Ring of Honor guys, you
- 40:59want them there when it matters the most, which is on game day.
- 41:02If they're going to be there for game day and be there for the,
- 41:05you know, mandatory training camps, mandatory pre season or
- 41:09mini camps, then that's all you want.
- 41:11That's all you need. But if you're a brand new team,
- 41:13if you're a young player, like why on earth would you be like,
- 41:17I'm going to work out, you know, with my trainer and in
- 41:19California, be there with a team.
- 41:21You need to like Pedex needs to be at every even non mandatory
- 41:26event because he's trying to assert himself as the guy.
- 41:30He's trying to convince everyone that he's going to be the
- 41:33hardest worker first in last night, all that good stuff.
- 41:35So for people who still need to prove themselves or if you're a
- 41:39fullback that you know you're this close from getting cut at
- 41:43every moment, even when you're the best or highest pay, like
- 41:46you still have to be there. I didn't miss a OTAA mini camba,
- 41:51a workout. I was there all the time.
- 41:53Even even after I got my big contract.
- 41:55I was like, Nope, you ain't gonna get me.
- 41:56You're not gonna talk about me not not appreciating or working
- 42:00hard? So.
- 42:01Yeah, that that optional wasn't a word at that point.
- 42:04Not, not, not not at all. It wasn't there.
- 42:06So it it unfortunately long answers that it depends.
- 42:10We are talking to former Ravens and Falcons, all Pearl fullback
- 42:13OV Moo Haley and a Mr. Moo Haley.
- 42:16By the way, I disagree with you. Miles Garretts making 40 million
- 42:19now a year. He's making quarterback money.
- 42:22If you're making quarterback money, you should be at every
- 42:25single OTAs practice. That's that's what I'm doing.
- 42:28And you're the leader of this team.
- 42:30And this is a team that's been a laughing stock in the NFL.
- 42:33They have been absolutely stuck in every kind of press meet or
- 42:38whatever the hell you want to call it.
- 42:39They are absolutely. They're like, they're like a car
- 42:43that has no carburetor. OK, That is that is the
- 42:47Cleveland Browns. And after bringing in a guy
- 42:49named, you know, Shador Sanders, I I think you need to worry that
- 42:54you have what how many quarterbacks?
- 42:55Kenny Pickett, first round pick, Joe Flacco, first round pick,
- 42:59another old guy. I love Joe, but he's old and I
- 43:02already been really quarterbacks.
- 43:03Watson first round draft pick. And then you have Shidor and
- 43:08then you have Shidor Sanders. Who thought was he?
- 43:11He was a first round draft pick and now he's a fifth round draft
- 43:14pick. So you know all about it's about
- 43:16making the money. Whatever you call him, prime,
- 43:18whatever the hell you call him. But I want to get into Kyle.
- 43:21Legendary. Yeah, legendary.
- 43:23He's going to be a legendary. That was I was cringy.
- 43:25That was just it was just so cringy.
- 43:28Like you just I mean it just say legendary and.
- 43:32When he when he ended it with it, That's what got me.
- 43:35I am a legend and. So it's tough because I can't
- 43:41knock a man for having confidence.
- 43:43You cannot live in this world if you don't love yourself and if
- 43:48you don't have confidence, but gosh Dang, like if you're going
- 43:51to be overconfident, you got to make sure you back that stuff
- 43:54up. And so it's, it was just so, so
- 43:57painful to watch. No, it wasn't not it was so fun.
- 44:01Well, it was, it was painful for those of us who were rooting for
- 44:04Dion root versus Dor because I, I supported the brother, but it
- 44:07was just hard. But he was legendary.
- 44:09Like it was just too much. It was too much.
- 44:11I am a legend. Anyways, great movie in the Part
- 44:162. Yeah, definitely part 2's coming
- 44:17out. Netflix I think it's coming out
- 44:19on and so is Happy Gilmore too. That's coming out too.
- 44:23So I saw that. Yeah.
- 44:25That's supposed to be a Netflix. So it was a 2 door Netflix.
- 44:28You have A at the end daily at the end of June.
- 44:32I think it's coming out. So it will be Stranger Things.
- 44:35All I want in my life is Stranger Things.
- 44:37I do too. I do too.
- 44:39These kids are way too old to have the timeline actually makes
- 44:43sense. Like now they're all like, you
- 44:45know, got Gray hair and full mustaches and and they're
- 44:48supposed to be playing like they're 15 years old.
- 44:50They're all like 20 something. You know, it took too long to
- 44:53make it come out. You know what I'm hooked on?
- 44:54And I I definitely got to get into the Kyle Pitts thing, but
- 44:56I'm hooked on mobland. Yellowstone.
- 44:58I've been watching Mobland Yellowstone's done.
- 45:01I've watched all the all Yellowstone.
- 45:03You got to get a chance to watch maybe 20 something, the 1888 and
- 45:07the Duttons. It's it's great, it's great, but
- 45:10it's over. I've already seen every single
- 45:11episode. You got to check out mob land
- 45:14and it's fantastic. It's perfectly acted and it's
- 45:19we're getting it's getting really, really good.
- 45:21So if if you and your wife want to sit down and relax and watch
- 45:24a a pretty good series, mob land is the way to go.
- 45:27So just to my my opinion, we watch the same kind of series,
- 45:31so I know you'll like that. Speaking of series, there's a
- 45:34lot of series with. This.
- 45:35What about land? What about land, man?
- 45:37Let's not cut off land. Man mob.
- 45:40Land, land man lot. Of oil field with Billy Bobby.
- 45:44No, I don't want to watch Billy Bob on an oil field.
- 45:48It's. Hilarious.
- 45:50This is monster. Speaking of Monster, make me
- 45:53feel good. What's you to ask for that
- 45:58speaking? That's a good drop right there.
- 46:01That's a perfect drop. Speaking of monsters, we all
- 46:05know there are, there is somewhat of a Loch Ness Monster
- 46:08out there, but we've never seen it or we thought we've seen it.
- 46:10Why haven't we seen Kyle Pitts on a football field?
- 46:13The guy looks like he disappears every time he steps on a field.
- 46:17And why has he has he disappeared?
- 46:20And what do they have to do to get him more involved or trade
- 46:23him, as we've heard over the last couple of years?
- 46:26And we trade him with our luck, he will become a Hall of Fame
- 46:30player somewhere else because he's got the tools, he's got the
- 46:33goods. He's his wingspan hasn't changed
- 46:36his hands, You know, they, they still, you know, flex and
- 46:39contract to his feet, I believe still work.
- 46:43It's just sometimes you talk about confidence little bit
- 46:46earlier, sometimes you lose confidence so much and you see
- 46:48people around you lose it to where you're just like, maybe I
- 46:52am kind of sucky, Maybe maybe I do, you know, belong in
- 46:57someones, you know, semi pro league.
- 46:59I just feel like it's just takes the right system, the right
- 47:03quarterback and the right opportunities for him to be jump
- 47:07started again and to get back to the cow pitch.
- 47:10We saw year one. Like it's just like I remember
- 47:12saying very distinctly when Matt Ryan was throwing cop at the
- 47:14ball, he made the Pro Bowl, the Pro Bowl.
- 47:17This this young brother made the Pro Bowl his first year.
- 47:20I'm like, if that's the the floor for him, if that's the
- 47:23worst he's going to be, Oh my gosh, we have Tony Gonzalez.
- 47:27Watch out because I was gonna say Tony Gonzalez the best time
- 47:29I've ever played for the Falcons.
- 47:30Tony Gonzalez wasn't like that his first year, maybe.
- 47:33What's the Pro Bowl first year? I don't know.
- 47:35But Kyle Pitts first year, he probably didn't.
- 47:38Kyle Pitts did, though. So I was so confident until the
- 47:43sucky quarterbacks came Marcus Mariota and then Desert Ritter.
- 47:46And you know, and you know, I have no idea why Kirk Cousins
- 47:51didn't connect with. And by the by the way, I want
- 47:54to, I want to give a shout out to what you said before we got
- 47:57into this whole conversation about Maddie Ice.
- 47:59The the reason why Atlanta didn't win that Super Bowl 1 and
- 48:04only one reason why they stopped running the ball.
- 48:06And you know who was the offensive coordinator of that
- 48:08team? Kyle Shanahan.
- 48:10And I'll say it again, stop blaming Maddie Ice.
- 48:13It wasn't Maddie Ice's fault he doesn't play defense.
- 48:16He was the guy that went out there for 3 1/2 quarters and
- 48:20threw his ass off. I don't want to hear it was
- 48:22Maddie Ice's fault. That was bad coaching, bad
- 48:26offensive coordinator and all you needed to do was run the
- 48:29ball. That would have been the smart
- 48:31thing when you had two of the best, well, running backs in all
- 48:35of the NFL. But Kyle Shanahan has been the
- 48:38joke of the NFL because it doesn't matter where he's
- 48:41coaching or as an offensive coordinator.
- 48:43Every time he gets to the big game, he stops running the ball
- 48:46and that's why they lose. Just saying it wasn't matter.
- 48:48I agree. So.
- 48:49And also they had no and also they had, besides Vic Beasley,
- 48:52no edge rushers at the time. Now you guys got two of them.
- 48:55But. Yeah, these edge rushers,
- 48:57everyone's like, oh, you gave it too much for them.
- 49:00We have what we need to win this year and these two young boys
- 49:05are ready to hunt. So I'm so excited.
- 49:07I got a little press pass for my my podcast.
- 49:10I'm about to be in the locker room asking questions and
- 49:12getting all this good information because because
- 49:14these guys I'm I'm 45 in gosh, about a week or so on June 10th,
- 49:19couple weeks, I'll be 45 years old.
- 49:20You look good, man, you look good.
- 49:22Thank you Hit my midlife crisis. But I'm realizing that it's it's
- 49:26a it's a different game, but it's the same game.
- 49:29Like you're only you're only two years older than me.
- 49:32But I mean, OK, you're only two years older than me, but I'm
- 49:37happy because we look good 345 and to not be sloppy, you know,
- 49:41is a good thing because my boy Todd Heap and one of the worst
- 49:46quarterbacks in history that failed Kyle Bowler.
- 49:48Love you, Kyle, but just he wasn't good at quarterbacking.
- 49:52He doesn't look good. He doesn't look Kelsey.
- 49:54That was good that that was a good touchdown because you threw
- 49:57it to me. But but yeah, no, I, I, I just
- 49:59feel like we have such a good core.
- 50:04Of course, Wake Forest, his own Jesse Bates, like Raheem was
- 50:07talking about Jesse Bates, just the, the leadership and the
- 50:12level, the presence that he brings the locker room on both
- 50:15sides of the ball. Being a a first team all pro
- 50:18guy. Literally, I'm the best in the
- 50:20NFL at my position, safety Jesse Bates and just the the key guys.
- 50:25I hate that we got rid of Grady Jarrett, but some of the key
- 50:28guys that we have in the locker room, they're not going to
- 50:32accept another mediocre season. And they've said that directly.
- 50:36And I don't just poopoo it on OTAs, but a lot of it starts in
- 50:42the offseason. A lot of a lot of it starts
- 50:44mindset wise in the offseason, which is why it's so important
- 50:47to make sure that as much as the guys as possible or at these
- 50:50workouts, as much as guys as possible are pushing themselves.
- 50:53And if you miss superstar here there, you'll survive.
- 50:56But you want like you're only as good as your worst players.
- 51:00That's the thing you don't understand.
- 51:01People don't get like, of course you need your superstars and
- 51:04your receivers and your QBs, but you're as good as your worst
- 51:08players. You need your bottom level guys,
- 51:11your your rotational guys, they're your special teams guys
- 51:15to all have the mindset of excellence.
- 51:18And that's the type of culture I think Raheem's trying to put in
- 51:21place. Especially I love our our new
- 51:23DC, Jeff Olbrich. Olbrich.
- 51:26That's legend. Olbrich.
- 51:29There you go. His son's not too smart, but
- 51:33actually he's a genius. That was absolutely funny.
- 51:36I love him. I love him.
- 51:40It was, it was, come on, that wasn't funny.
- 51:43That wasn't funny. I have $100,000.
- 51:45Fine. It wasn't $100,000 funny, I'll
- 51:47tell you that. I'm sure, I'm sure ownership
- 51:50gave him back the money. I mean, it definitely was under
- 51:53the table. I don't think Jeff Ulbricht's
- 51:55crying about the $100,000 his son lost him because it put him
- 51:59center stage. It's all of the tabloids.
- 52:02It's embarrassing though. Like I just had a situation with
- 52:05my kids and thank goodness that was semi private I just shared
- 52:09with you. But to have something be public
- 52:13like that and to have like him and his wife and his family,
- 52:17just to be eviscerated on every social media or every single
- 52:23talk show, it's like, why would you bring this apart?
- 52:26Was it wasn't that funny? Is it still funny, son?
- 52:28But he but he wasn't the only one that did it.
- 52:31He just happened to be his son. True.
- 52:33Like the other guy, I don't know his name, but the problem is
- 52:36like, yeah, like that's with great power comes great
- 52:38responsibility. When you have the last name
- 52:40Ulbricht, like you, you're going to get more attention than than
- 52:44that guy. I'm sure Michael Vick was out
- 52:47there doing the dog stuff with dozens of other people, but they
- 52:50they got Michael Vick because he has the name.
- 52:51Like it's just, my parents taught me at a very early age,
- 52:54like you're going to get all the attention you so I can do the
- 52:58same thing you did. And because they're not a
- 53:01college athlete, high school athlete, professional athlete,
- 53:03no one's going to care. No one's going to care.
- 53:05You're. Guilty by association.

- 54:36at that. Look how much fun you're having
- 54:37holding your ice shaker. Actually, my my son's baseball
- 54:41team was they that's what they got him for their fall gift.
- 54:45Oh, really? Yeah.
- 54:46All right. All right.
- 54:47It's kind of awesome. Yeah.
- 54:48Ice shakers for everyone. Did you sign it?
- 54:50I mean, did you actually sign your ice shaker?
- 54:53Yeah. I mean, of course I saw my ice
- 54:54shakers. I I I love ice shakers.
- 54:56I I've been an ice shaker fan for the longest time since Yeah,
- 55:01Now now. We've got, we've got these ones,
- 55:04the gallon ones, the half gallon ones.
- 55:08You know, I'm actually, we, we're at like 3 because me and
- 55:11MM Turner are getting ready for our big second year, our Blue
- 55:16Falcons podcast. So we're, we're trying to find
- 55:18one or two more sponsors. We have 3 already locked and
- 55:21loaded. Paid us some big bucks.
- 55:23It's not what you know too, you know.
- 55:25Yeah, of course I know. Somebody knows somebody.
- 55:27Well, I got something for you. Play with my pickle.
- 55:32I don't know if you want to play with his Pickles, Petey, Do you
- 55:34want to pay with his Pickles? I mean, we were just talking
- 55:37about just Shaquille O'neal's pickle.
- 55:39Yeah, we were. How about?
- 55:40How about? Is that your cucumber or are you
- 55:42happy to see me? None of the above.
- 55:46You guys, you got duty. My wife is waving me down to try
- 55:53eat a late dinner before we go. Well, where's my dinner?
- 55:56Tell your wife. What is she cooking for me?
- 56:00What is she cooking for me? She's cooking rice and beans.
- 56:02My son wants chicharones for some reason.
- 56:03I don't know, he gets all these little tangents and he's been
- 56:06crying about chicharones. So chicharones, I think it's
- 56:09like some fried pork chops, potatoes, potatoes, mashed and
- 56:16sweet potatoes and some other stuff.
- 56:18So I can smell it. And so she came down to the
- 56:20basement and gave me the wow. Yeah, I'd get the hell out of
- 56:23here too. I would too.
- 56:25I mean, tell, tell your wife that whenever she needs somebody
- 56:29to test her food. I'm more than willing.
- 56:31I mean, I'll, I'll fly over there to Atlanta and have my
- 56:34little fun. I mean, by the way, where are we
- 56:36going to get you and Mike Turner on the show?
- 56:38How about that? Can we, can we work that we, we
- 56:42can work out something. I, I, I'll see what we can do.
- 56:46I mean, how do you guess that, that last sponsor guy, I know
- 56:49you're getting paid like, you know, 10s of thousands of
- 56:51dollars. Oh yeah, right.
- 56:52I mean, soon, by the way, I want to give a shout out.
- 56:54I want to give a shout out to you.
- 56:55We are now signed with Blue Wire.
- 56:58So we're working with Blue Wire now.
- 57:00We're on a pretty well known podcast organization.
- 57:03Cam Newton's on it. Darius says what is it?
- 57:07Slay Slay, Darius Slay is on it. So we got a bunch of people have
- 57:10their own shows on air. Dwight Howard has his own show
- 57:14on it. So yeah, we're we're on it.
- 57:16And thank you. Thank you very much.
- 57:18And we're very excited with Blue Wire.
- 57:20And like I said, I would love to get you and Mike Turner on the
- 57:23show and have a little fun with you guys.
- 57:25Maybe we'll have a trivia with you guys and see who knows a
- 57:28little bit more about the other guy and who knows more about
- 57:32football than I do. How about that?
- 57:34We'll have a nice competition over there.
- 57:37How about that? You, you, you win.
- 57:38It's actually embarrassing. Like I, I know football, but I,
- 57:41I don't know shit about football.
- 57:43Like if you ask me, like who was the first thing winning Super
- 57:46Bowl Bears, the Green Bay Packers, or like who won?
- 57:50You know who's the 1st team to win at 3 peat and I don't know.
- 57:55I will tell you this, it wouldn't be fair if I put you
- 57:57guys against Speedy because he's like a human Almanac.
- 58:00Over Your second guess was right, though.
- 58:02The Packers were the first game. Say I that it wouldn't be fits
- 58:06Lombardi, right? Yeah, Lombardi trophy fits
- 58:07Lombardi. Yeah, it wouldn't.
- 58:09It wouldn't. Be fair.
- 58:10Was Bart Starr the quarterback or is that 3?
- 58:13No, Bart Starr was the quarterback.
- 58:15Yeah, Bart Starr was, yes. Over you wouldn't stand a
- 58:18chance, I don't think. At all.
- 58:21If it's both with choice, I might have a chance.
- 58:24I'm pretty lucky I guess, right? Own a friend?
- 58:27Yeah, I definitely found a friend.
- 58:29I mean, but what let's let's talk about that off air.
- 58:32Let's get you and Mike Turner on the show.
- 58:33I want to get you on where you can hang out a little bit and
- 58:36we'll bring Mikey and Maggie on. And we never had Mikey on the
- 58:39show and and have a little a little fun with him.
- 58:42Have a little fun with both of you guys.
- 58:44Y'all watch the podcast. We we had a good time.
- 58:47Funny, I gotta I gotta post some pictures from the first annual
- 58:51Falcons fan cruise. Me, Mike still have that
- 58:53fullback tailback connection because we wore the same shoes
- 58:58at dinner. We had the same black and silver
- 59:02Bally shoes at dinner and I was like, you know what?
- 59:06I knew you're going to have the same shoes with me.
- 59:07Like I don't know what it is. It's like this ESPESPN that we
- 59:10have where we're always thinking about doing the same thing.
- 59:13It's it's pretty cool creaming involving people faces anyways.
- 59:19Hey, get off here before you get in trouble.
- 59:22Ovi, thank you for joining us and we will talk to you soon.
- 59:26Speedy will be in contact with you.
- 59:28Talk to Mike and we'll get you on the show probably in the next
- 59:30couple of weeks. Sounds good guys.
- 59:33Appreciate having me. Love you, Ovi.
- 59:34Thank you. Appreciate you SO.
- 59:36Much later, guys. Ovi, Moo, Haley, he's fantastic.
- 59:41Oh yeah, he always is. Good guy, good dude, good
- 59:43personality and very laid back. Doesn't really hold back on
- 59:47anything, anything he says and and how many times have we had
- 59:52him on the. Show, I think it's, I think that
- 59:53was the sixth. The first time we had him was
- 59:55when Tyler was still on the show with us.
- 59:56I remember I told him, I told him in the car who we were
- 1:00:00having on. He actually recognized him from
- 1:00:02when he when he was playing. So I think, I think we've had
- 1:00:04him on every year since then at least once.
- 1:00:06Yeah, it's it's interesting and a lot of different stories we've
- 1:00:10heard from MU and and and understanding what type of
- 1:00:14player he was. I don't think people understand
- 1:00:16how great of a fullback he is. Guy is a two time all pro player
- 1:00:22at his position. There are no real big full backs
- 1:00:25anymore in the NFL. There's one on on the 49ers.
- 1:00:28That's about it. There's really not.
- 1:00:30It's it's a lost position. We've talked, we've talked with
- 1:00:34Ovie about this and why the NFL has pushed the full back
- 1:00:37position away from the NFL. He says it's not needed anymore.
- 1:00:40I disagree. And also he was like taking
- 1:00:42shots on all the awards the way they end up coming up because
- 1:00:44they're like a lot of them. So only got the accolades
- 1:00:46because they were only good receivers and there are better
- 1:00:49ones that are blockers. Like I think he's brought up
- 1:00:50Lorenzo O'Neill a lot and guys like that that were better
- 1:00:53blockers. Absolutely.
- 1:00:54And it's so crazy because when when when you speak about some
- 1:00:58of the best at their position, Ovie gets lost because there's
- 1:01:01quite a few full backs that you can remember that we've had on
- 1:01:05the show before. One of them, the Nigerian,
- 1:01:07Nigerian nightmare. This guy is a Hall of Famer and
- 1:01:12was one of the more right and shining armor, you know, full
- 1:01:16backs in the NFL when he played for Kansas City.
- 1:01:18So we, we definitely love Ovie and we're really happy that he
- 1:01:22can make it and he could make it.
- 1:01:24And well, I would love to get Mike Turner on the show, no
- 1:01:26question, because Mike Turner was a really good player and
- 1:01:30I've heard a very good personality.
- 1:01:32I, I've watched his show a little bit.
- 1:01:34Ovie's the funny guy and he's definitely the better looking
- 1:01:37guy. There's no question.
- 1:01:38But Mike Turner has a really good, he has really good
- 1:01:43football knowledge and he was a really good running back.
- 1:01:45So very, very excited to get both of them on if we can get
- 1:01:49them on. David threw in a Jeff Holbrook
- 1:01:50reference. No question, thank you to all
- 1:01:52the fans on social media. Oh, thank you for Reno Johnny,
- 1:01:56for filling in for our Let's parlay.
