The nearly empty beach resort seemed strange from the moment they arrived.
There were very few guests, long stretches of silence, and an uneasy feeling that only grew stronger after dark. A late-night trip to the deserted pool ended abruptly when every light suddenly went out, sending the couple running back to their room.
They assumed the unsettling feeling would end there. Instead, one of them woke around three in the morning to the sound of a shower running in the bathroom. The lights were on. The room was filled with steam. And no one had turned the water on.
