Speaker 1: Do you have any medical advice many Americans out there
• 0:03
Speaker 1: that are suffering from a very serious helmet called chunk
• 0:06
  Speaker 1: arrangement syndrome.
• 0:08
Speaker 2: I am concerned about folks who have focused their entire
• 0:12
Speaker 2: life energy on dislike of the president. It's disheartening to
• 0:15
Speaker 2: see people lost in that way. But you know, it's nice.
• 0:21
Speaker 2: It's treating stupid. It's really hard.
• 0:23
Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
• 0:27
Speaker 1: Good Wednesday morning. Nice to have you with us on
• 0:29
Speaker 1: the forty seven Morning Updating. We've got two very big
• 0:32
Speaker 1: stories for you. Pride Month. It's something that corporate America
• 0:36
Speaker 1: has been forced to celebrate, and if you didn't, well,
• 0:39
Speaker 1: the LGBTQ plus activist community was coming after you and
• 0:43
Speaker 1: your business. Well, this year, Pride Month looks very different
• 0:46
Speaker 1: for some major brands, and we're going to explain exactly
• 0:49
Speaker 1: what's happening. Plus, more than one state in America has
• 0:53
Speaker 1: decided to change exactly what they're celebrating in their state
• 0:56
Speaker 1: when it comes to Pride Month, and it's not.
• 0:58
Speaker 2: In the LGBTQ community.
• 1:00
Speaker 1: It's actually in faith, family and freedom and celebrating this
• 1:04
Speaker 1: great country we live in, especially with our two hundred
• 1:07
  Speaker 1: and fiftieth birthday.
• 1:09
Speaker 2: So what are they doing differently? We have that as well.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: Now, before we get to that, I want to talk
• 1:13
Speaker 1: to you about your cell phone service and how with
• 1:15
Speaker 1: every call you make and with every text you send,
• 1:18
Speaker 1: you can be standing up for the values you believe in.
• 1:21
Speaker 1: And the company that allows you to do that is
• 1:23
Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile. Every day Americans make choices that shape our
• 1:27
Speaker 1: country's future, right down to which cell phone provider we support.
• 1:32
Speaker 1: Here's what most people don't actually realize. Patriot Mobile isn't
• 1:36
Speaker 1: just a wireless provider. They're an activist organization funded by
• 1:40
Speaker 1: selling top tier self service. They've been on the front
• 1:44
Speaker 1: lines defending our freedoms long before it was cool, standing
• 1:47
Speaker 1: up and the gap when others wouldn't. The best part
• 1:51
Speaker 1: is they deliver prioritized premium service on all three major
• 1:56
Speaker 1: US networks, giving you the same or even better coverage
• 2:00
Speaker 1: backed by one hundred percent US based customer support. You
• 2:04
Speaker 1: get unlimited data, mobile hotspots, international roaming, and so much more.
• 2:09
Speaker 1: But when you switch to Patriot Mobile, that's what I
• 2:11
Speaker 1: love the most. You'll help grow a movement that fuels
• 2:14
Speaker 1: the Christian Conservative cause. Every bill you pay helps advance
• 2:19
Speaker 1: the values of faith, family, and freedom, and switching is
• 2:22
Speaker 1: easier than ever. You can literally activate in minutes, keep
• 2:26
Speaker 1: your number, keep your phone, or upgrade. So go to
• 2:30
Speaker 1: Patriotmobile dot com slash verdict and you are going to
• 2:34
Speaker 1: get a free month of service with a promo code vertict.
• 2:37
Speaker 1: Or you can call them nine to seven to two Patriot.
• 2:42
Speaker 1: That's nine seven to two Patriot nine seven to two Patriot.
• 2:47
Speaker 1: Or call them and go online at Patriot Mobile dot
• 2:51
Speaker 1: com slash verdict promo code vertict for a free month
• 2:54
Speaker 1: of service. Make the switch and make a difference every
• 2:57
Speaker 1: time you pay your bill. It's a forty seven morning
• 2:59
Speaker 1: update and it starts right now.
• 3:01
  Speaker 3: Story number one.
• 3:03
Speaker 1: You may know that June is the month of Pride.
• 3:07
Speaker 1: We have been told that you must celebrate Pride month
• 3:10
Speaker 1: and if you don't, then you are a bigot. You
• 3:13
Speaker 1: are anti LGBTQIA plus plus and whatever they've decided to
• 3:19
Speaker 1: change it into. Now, well, there does seem to be
• 3:23
Speaker 1: a changing in this story after years of companies bowing
• 3:29
Speaker 1: down to the woke, radical left and just saying you
• 3:32
Speaker 1: tell us what we need to celebrate, will do it,
• 3:35
Speaker 1: will paint whatever rainbows you want. Us to paint, will
• 3:38
Speaker 1: celebrate with special logos and emails and Pride literally at
• 3:44
Speaker 1: paraphernalia in the front of our stores. We now may
• 3:48
Speaker 1: be seeing a course correction. NFL is a great place
• 3:52
Speaker 1: to start. The social media accounts, for the first time
• 3:56
Speaker 1: in years, pasted on celebrating.
• 3:58
Speaker 2: The first day of Pride Month.
• 4:01
Speaker 1: They had been one of the lookest organizations with pressure
• 4:04
Speaker 1: from the LGBTQI plus community, but now the National Football
• 4:09
Speaker 1: League's official social media accounts looked on a pass when
• 4:14
Speaker 1: it came to celebrating the first day of Pride Month
• 4:17
Speaker 1: June first. Yes, it's a month long recognition that we
• 4:20
Speaker 1: have in this country and in many parts of the world. Now,
• 4:23
Speaker 1: I also want you to think about in comparing contrast
• 4:27
Speaker 1: other incredible days that don't get even a week.
• 4:30
Speaker 2: They get a day. You'll get Veterans Day.
• 4:33
Speaker 1: You look at Memorial Day, you look at Labor Day,
• 4:36
Speaker 1: you look at any other thing like Christmas. There's just
• 4:38
Speaker 1: a day. It is not a month. But Pride Month
• 4:41
Speaker 1: has to be an entire month. Well, a lapse is
• 4:46
Speaker 1: not exactly surprising. Well, most of its teams and I'm
• 4:49
Speaker 1: referring to the NFL, have gone in the past all
• 4:52
Speaker 1: in for Pride Month. The league itself has not mentioned
• 4:56
Speaker 1: it since twenty twenty three when it launched it Football
• 5:00
Speaker 1: Is for Everyone campaign. This is coming from the New
• 5:03
Speaker 1: York Post now. Still, the league did issue a statement
• 5:07
Speaker 1: to press reassuring its support for LGBT community, saying this
• 5:13
Speaker 1: Pride Month is recognized throughout June, and the NFL will
• 5:15
Speaker 1: continue to highlight and amplify Pride related content, community initiatives
• 5:20
Speaker 1: and celebrations taking place across the league. The NFL went
• 5:24
Speaker 1: on to say, throughout the month, we look forward to
• 5:26
Speaker 1: opportunities to showcase the work of the NFL our clubs, players, partners,
• 5:30
Speaker 1: and community organizations supporting LGBTQ plus communities. Now, last year,
• 5:36
Speaker 1: twelve NFL teams failed as the liberal media put it
• 5:40
Speaker 1: to mention Pride Month as June kicked off. By the way,
• 5:44
Speaker 1: that wasn't by accident. So far this month, only nine
• 5:48
Speaker 1: teams have not posted a celebratory message for Pride Month,
• 5:51
Speaker 1: many of them taking so much eat over last year.
• 5:54
  Speaker 2: Now.
• 5:54
Speaker 1: Those teams right now include the New York Jets, the
• 5:56
Speaker 1: Pittsburgh Steelers, the Cleveland Browns, the Cincinnati Bengal, the Tennessee Titans,
• 6:01
Speaker 1: the Kansas City Chiefs, the Las Vegas Against Raiders, the
• 6:04
Speaker 1: Dallas Cowboys, and the New Orleans Saints.
• 6:07
Speaker 2: Obviously that could change.
• 6:09
Speaker 1: But if you look at what the NFL is doing here, yes,
• 6:12
Speaker 1: they're clearly trying to play politics. You could even argue
• 6:14
Speaker 1: to try to play both sides of this. But what
• 6:19
Speaker 1: we are seeing is a month seems to be a
• 6:22
Speaker 1: moment now that people are saying, really, we need an
• 6:25
Speaker 1: entire month to celebrate this, and if you don't do it,
• 6:30
Speaker 1: then what happens, Well, maybe not as much as we
• 6:33
Speaker 1: thought in the past. We also know that some of
• 6:37
Speaker 1: the pride excitement may be dying down. Another example of
• 6:40
Speaker 1: that is Phoenix. Phoenix Pride, which is a prominent organization
• 6:45
Speaker 1: behind Arizona's largest LGBTQ plus gathering, announced on the eve
• 6:51
Speaker 1: of Pride Month that it is now filed for bankruptcy.
• 6:55
Speaker 1: The filing, submitted Thursday in the US Bankruptcy Court in
• 6:58
Speaker 1: the District of Arizona showed that Phoenix Pride was seeking
• 7:01
Speaker 1: Chapter eleven bankruptcy protection, allowing time, they say, to continue
• 7:06
Speaker 1: operations while restructuring its debt under court supervision. The Tucson
• 7:11
Speaker 1: Sentinel is reporting the organization's board of directors said in
• 7:14
Speaker 1: a press release that the decision was not made quote
• 7:17
Speaker 1: lightly rising. They said, operational costs, economic uncertainty, shifts in
• 7:21
Speaker 1: sponsorship again, shifts in sponsorship and fundraising, partly due to
• 7:29
Speaker 1: the current political climate and administration, and increasing demand on
• 7:32
Speaker 1: nonprofit organizations have created circumstances we can no longer navigate alone.
• 7:37
  Speaker 2: Like many Pride.
• 7:38
Speaker 1: Organizations and LGBTQ plus nonprofits across the country, Phoenix Pride
• 7:43
Speaker 1: is faced mounting financial pressures that threaten our long term sustainability.
• 7:48
Speaker 1: Now you look at what they just said in that statement,
• 7:50
Speaker 1: and what they're telling you is is they're not the
• 7:53
Speaker 1: only Pride organization in the country that's struggling right now.
• 7:57
Speaker 1: The local publication also noted that the Phoenix Pride financial
• 8:00
Speaker 1: woes come just months after Tucson Pride shut down, fallowing
• 8:04
Speaker 1: years of financial strain, and, of course, as they described it,
• 8:07
Speaker 1: leadership problems. They say the sequence of events raises new
• 8:11
Speaker 1: questions about the sustainability of some of the state's largest
• 8:14
Speaker 1: LGBTQ plus organizations as they navigate what they describe as
• 8:19
Speaker 1: rising costs, budget issues, internal struggles, and then even community trust.
• 8:25
Speaker 1: Phoenix Pride said, filing Chapter eleven gives the organization the
• 8:28
Speaker 1: opportunity to reorganize its finances while continuing to operate. Now,
• 8:33
Speaker 1: you put all this into perspective, and here's what it
• 8:36
Speaker 1: really boils down to. These Pride organizations were able to
• 8:41
Speaker 1: blackmail in essence corporations and donors to give to them,
• 8:46
Speaker 1: and if they didn't, then they were going to out
• 8:49
Speaker 1: them and say they are anti LGBTQ. Plus, Now what
• 8:54
Speaker 1: we're seeing is maybe many of these organizations are more
• 8:58
Speaker 1: willing to say, hey, we're not going to be held
• 9:00
Speaker 1: hostage and we're not going to put our money towards
• 9:03
Speaker 1: Pride Month the way that you guys expect us to
• 9:06
Speaker 1: in the past. There is also the politics of this,
• 9:10
Speaker 1: which is also very very very interesting. Now, story number two,
• 9:14
Speaker 1: the Arkansas Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders officially proclaimed June is
• 9:18
Speaker 1: Fidelity Month, encouraging people in Arkansas to focus on fidelity
• 9:23
Speaker 1: to God, family, community, and country. And her proclamation, Sanders
• 9:28
Speaker 1: pointed to America's founding principles of faith, liberty, and patriotism
• 9:33
Speaker 1: and encourage residents to renew their commitment to those values. Now,
• 9:37
Speaker 1: notice she's saying, we're going to have a month for family,
• 9:40
Speaker 1: a month for God, a month for community, a month
• 9:42
Speaker 1: for country. What an amazing idea and proclamations specifically highlight
• 9:47
Speaker 1: the importance of commitment to face, strong families, civic responsibility,
• 9:52
Speaker 1: and moral virtue. It argues that cultivating fidelity to God, family, community,
• 9:57
Speaker 1: and country will contribute to a healthy and stable society. Now,
• 10:01
Speaker 1: clearly this is a one point eighty when it comes
• 10:04
Speaker 1: to what Pride Month actually is. And let's be honest,
• 10:07
Speaker 1: this is about much more than a proclamation. What Arkansas
• 10:10
Speaker 1: is doing is reflecting a much broader trend happening across
• 10:14
Speaker 1: the country. Many Americans, putting it bluntly, have grown tired
• 10:18
Speaker 1: of having every institution in their lives become politicized. They
• 10:21
Speaker 1: want schools focused on education. They want businesses focus on
• 10:25
Speaker 1: serving customers. They want sports franchises focus on competition, and increasingly,
• 10:30
Speaker 1: they want government leaders focus on strengthening families and our
• 10:34
Speaker 1: communities and also faith based institutions rather than engaging in
• 10:38
Speaker 1: cultural war symbolism. And that's why Sara Huckabee Sanders as
• 10:43
Speaker 1: the governor of Arkansas and having this proclamation is generating
• 10:46
Speaker 1: so much attention. She essentially is saying that instead of
• 10:50
Speaker 1: dedicating June to identity politics, Arkansas will dedicate June to
• 10:56
Speaker 1: what she' views as the foundational institutions that holds to
• 11:00
Speaker 1: society together, faith, family, community, and country. Now, whether you
• 11:04
Speaker 1: agree or disagree with what the message is here, there's
• 11:07
Speaker 1: no question it represents a dramatic shift from where America
• 11:11
Speaker 1: was just a few years ago, and Arkansas isn't alone.
• 11:15
Speaker 1: Other Republican led states are promoting similar themes. Tennessee, where
• 11:20
Speaker 1: I was born, they have highlighted the importance of the
• 11:22
Speaker 1: nuclear family, while several governors have emphasized traditional family structures
• 11:27
Speaker 1: and faith based values as alternatives to the cultural messaging
• 11:32
Speaker 1: typically associated with Pride Month. The larger story here isn't
• 11:36
Speaker 1: simply about Pride Month. It's about a growing movement among
• 11:39
Speaker 1: millions of Americans who feel that the country drifted too
• 11:43
Speaker 1: far away from the values that built strong communities in
• 11:47
Speaker 1: the first place. They believe strong families matter, they believe
• 11:50
Speaker 1: faith matters, they believe patriotism matters, and they believe that
• 11:55
Speaker 1: those values deserve public celebration too, and shouldn't be hidden
• 11:59
Speaker 1: any longer. Governor Sanders' message is essentially an invitation for
• 12:03
Speaker 1: Arkansas to spend June strengthening their marriages, spending time with
• 12:07
Speaker 1: their children, serving their communities, and attending church, and reflecting
• 12:12
Speaker 1: on the responsibility as citizens in the great state of
• 12:14
Speaker 1: Arkansas and in the United States of America. And to supporters,
• 12:18
Speaker 1: let me just say this, this is a refreshing change.
• 12:21
Speaker 1: Of course, critics are going to lose their minds. It's
• 12:24
Speaker 1: a political statement aimed directly at Pride Month. They're going
• 12:27
Speaker 1: to say that your bigots or racists or homophobes or
• 12:30
Speaker 1: whatever else they want to call you. But regardless of
• 12:33
Speaker 1: where you stand, there is one thing that's undeniable. June
• 12:37
Speaker 1: in twenty twenty six looks very different than June and
• 12:40
Speaker 1: twenty twenty. Corporate enthusiasm has cooled, the political momentum has shifted,
• 12:46
Speaker 1: and in states like Arkansas and Tennessee, leaders are openly
• 12:50
Speaker 1: championing an alternative vision centered on faith, family, and traditional values.
• 12:56
Speaker 1: Now you put this into perspective with it what President
• 12:59
Speaker 1: Trump is now doing. We're approaching the incredible two hundred
• 13:03
Speaker 1: fiftieth birthday of the greatest country in the world, and
• 13:06
Speaker 1: what we're witnessing is a major cultural debate unfolding in
• 13:09
Speaker 1: real time, something that President Trump clearly wanted. One vision
• 13:13
Speaker 1: emphasizes identity and self expression. The other emphasizes duty, commitment,
• 13:20
Speaker 1: faith and family. And if Arkansas is any indication, many
• 13:24
Speaker 1: Americans are increasingly choosing the latter. And that's why this
• 13:28
Speaker 1: year's Pride Month story isn't just about pride. It's about
• 13:32
Speaker 1: a country that is reassessing its priorities, rediscovering our roots,
• 13:37
Speaker 1: and asking a fundamental question, what value should define the
• 13:41
Speaker 1: next chapter of the American story.
