Transcript
- 0:00You have arrived. Welcome to the ASPY world.
- 0:04Here's where we talk about anything and everything ASD in
- 0:07an upbeat and informative way. And now here's your man on the
- 0:11spectrum, your autism Ambassador, Daniel Morgan Jones.
- 0:19So they don't even know that 80% of autistic individuals do not
- 0:22have employment. This means that people only
- 0:25autism spectrum 80% of us which is pretty much most of us don't
- 0:29have access to create income and sustain our lives.
- 0:32Now this is this is this is crazy crazy statistic but it's
- 0:37very very true. So if you're new around here my
- 0:39name is Dan, I have autism in ADHDOCD and dyslexia and I'm
- 0:42making wiki videos all about this stuff so that I can help
- 0:45educate and change the lives in the world of many autistic
- 0:47individuals. So if you're new around here
- 0:49make sure to keep watching because of some really vital
- 0:51information in this video. Now one of the most interesting
- 0:53things is profound is back in 2020 I went to the the European
- 0:58Parliament in France and actually briefed them on this
- 1:01issue. They were so shocked that they'd
- 1:02never even realized this was a problem.
- 1:04Now I give an example of a friend of mine who was working.
- 1:09She she tried to apply for five jobs and after those five jobs
- 1:13realized she was autistic, they dropped her like a lead balloon
- 1:16or five jobs. And a lot of the time we find
- 1:18artistic people who will try and find work.
- 1:20Although get into work and once they're in that work, when
- 1:24people realized that they have issues or are struggling in
- 1:27certain areas, they will drop them.
- 1:28Now there are many reasons for this.
- 1:30There are many factors that come into play.
- 1:33Now, when you're a you're a division individual and you're
- 1:35artistic, there are certain requirements that you kind of
- 1:38may want to influence on your own work.
- 1:39These could be reasonable adjustments and other types of
- 1:41things. Many employers might get scared
- 1:44by this. They might get really derailed
- 1:46by this and get a little bit kind of scared by this.
- 1:49However, this is not the beyond end.
- 1:52All to it. In actual fact, I've been
- 1:54researching a lot and I've been spending literally since 2016
- 1:57figuring out what is the best way to increase the potential of
- 2:00an autistic individual and their life and how can they do this,
- 2:03How can they maintain a good job?
- 2:05And I found the answer to that. And I'm actually going to reel
- 2:08out in a video tomorrow to you to tell you exactly how this
- 2:11changes, because tomorrow I've also got some more information
- 2:13to tell you. So what I'm trying to say to you

- 2:33you can increase that and increase your potential to be
