- 2:31That you wouldn't have been ready for Chris.
- 2:33You're probably right. You're probably definitely
- 2:35right. Anyways, we call this the NBA
- 2:39Round Table. OK, everybody, let's get to the
- 2:43round table. We should just start calling it
- 2:47the whipper round table because that's basically what this
- 2:49segment is. If you watch our other segments,
- 2:51we're going to start off about 5 stories in the NBA.
- 2:56Tommy, let's get the sound a little bit down.
- 2:58It's a little too loud. Thank you very much.
- 3:01If you were watching over the weekend, Denver, you know,
- 3:04Denver's been without Aaron Gordon for a while, so they've
- 3:07fallen back in the standings a little bit.
- 3:09But OKC and Denver had an epic series last year in the Western
- 3:15Conference. There's no love lost.
- 3:19Well, there was a big fight between Nicola Yokich.
- 3:23You know, I would say they're saying right now Shay is
- 3:26actually the MVP favorite over yoga.
- 3:28They're out of their minds. That's what they're saying.
- 3:30They're saying is that historical efficiency season,
- 3:33because that's what everybody loves about their MVPS, their
- 3:36efficiency. Now Dort is well known to be a
- 3:42physical defender and well known to be a little extra legal with
- 3:48how he defends. And look, they're the Champs.
- 3:52They're taking it on the chin they're from.
- 3:54Everybody's getting their best game.
- 3:56Dort is fighting back. He was a little too physical
- 3:59with Yokich. Yokich jumps up, gets in Dort's
- 4:02face. They have to separate them.
- 4:05Someone separates Yokich from him.
- 4:07He was Jalen Williams and then like Jokic turns and looks at
- 4:11Jalen Williams. What a dummy Jalen Williams was
- 4:13in that situation. Does he not know about Jokic and
- 4:16his brothers? I I do not know if I would be
- 4:19that courageous to step in between that.
- 4:22But look, Yogesh didn't get ejected.
- 4:25They gave Dort A flake to. Pretty wild scene between two
- 4:29heated rivals. I want to give a shout out to
- 4:31Maxine on our our chat room. She's fantastic.
- 4:34Her and Quran, they have great NICs programming and I'm going
- 4:38to be working with Quran in the very near future.
- 4:40So shout out to Maxine and Quran doing such great stuff with the
- 4:43New York Knicks content. But here's the thing, Nicola
- 4:48Yokich to me is the MVP of the league.
- 4:50I don't, I don't want to hear this Carbage.
- 4:51I I think obviously GSA is. I mean, he's been unbelievable.
- 4:57He has been as good. Alexander has been great.
- 5:00He's been a great player last year.
- 5:02Honestly, Alexander, you can argue was the MVP of the league,
- 5:06but I don't know if I would say that this year.
- 5:09This guy is Nicole Yokich is a triple double machine.
- 5:12He's going to finish the season probably with a triple double
- 5:15again. Last year he finished the season
- 5:17with a triple double. This year is probably going to
- 5:19finish the season with triple double.
- 5:21How how do you give this to anybody else?
- 5:23This guy's the best center in the league by far by a big
- 5:27margin. Now, as far as him and Dort and
- 5:30and the aggressive nature, this always happens and Nicole
- 5:32Yokich, he stands up for his players.
- 5:34He comes from a a mean, you know, I mean place over there.
- 5:39What's the city is from Serbia, Serbia, Serbia.
- 5:43His brothers. Obviously you've heard a little
- 5:45bit about his brothers. His brothers are tough, big.
- 5:50I think he's the younger brother of his two brothers.
- 5:53This guy comes from a very big and and mean family, so we know
- 5:57he's going to he's not going to be pushed around by anybody.
- 6:00He's not a small guy. He's going to throw his body
- 6:02there and Endor, he doesn't play legally defensively, you've seen
- 6:07him play. He likes to play under guys.
- 6:09He likes to hit you. He like he plays Draymond Green
- 6:11type of defense. That's what he plays.
- 6:13He plays that type of defense. And unfortunately when you play
- 6:17that type of defense, you know guys like Nicole Yokich is going
- 6:20to give it to you. He's going to stick it to you.
- 6:22He's going to yell at you and he's going to beat you up after
- 6:24that. I, I love it.
- 6:25I love this game of basketball when it's aggressive nature.
- 6:29I, I think that really the new style of basketball hasn't been
- 6:34this way. I want to see more of this.
- 6:36I want to see more pushing and shoving.
- 6:38That's why I, I, I love Dante Diva Chancellor.
- 6:40I like what he brings to the table.
- 6:42I like that mean streak. That's what you like, The old
- 6:45New York Knicks. I love the old Pistons.
- 6:48I love those teams. I want to see more of that.
- 6:50So I love it. I absolutely love the fighting
- 6:53and the pushing. Yeah, that's the hunter.
- 6:55Definitely play with the defensive intensity you need to
- 6:57be able to do well. They've been #1 all season for a
- 6:59while. It was a historically good
- 7:01defense the way they were. Defensive efficiency right now.
- 7:03And they have a lot of guys that could do that, including Dort.
- 7:05But at the same time, you do want to instigate somebody like
- 7:07Nicole Yokers. This was a team in the Nuggets
- 7:09that did take you in the playoffs last year to seven
- 7:11games, like when you coached it pretty much the rest of the
- 7:13playoffs. OK, I see.
- 7:14Won a championship. That was the one thing I know
- 7:16you blew out in game seven. Fine, but that's a guy you don't
- 7:19want to mess with in Nicola Yokich.
- 7:20And yeah, obviously the the 65 game rule, that's going to be
- 7:23the mark he can play the rest of the year.
- 7:25He'll get the MVP because he should.
- 7:27You're right, I agree. Alexander I, I, I understand
- 7:30Alexander needs to win an MVP, he deserves it.
- 7:32But this year there's no way in hell you're giving Alexander the
- 7:37MVP. After what Nicola Yokich is
- 7:40doing right now with the Nuggets, who's the number two
- 7:42option on that roster? Who's the?
- 7:45Number Murray Murray's still there, but they have No 3
- 7:48without Aaron Gordon. Here's the thing everybody keeps
- 7:51talking about Jamal Murray. Jamal Murray is not the same
- 7:53Jamal Murray since he's come back from his injury.
- 7:55This is not the same dominant point guard that was playing at
- 7:58a top level in the playoffs. Jamal Murray is a secondary
- 8:01point guard on this roster. What's he averaging right now?
- 8:0318 points, I mean, that's your second option.
- 8:06Nicola Yokich is giving you a triple double every single game
- 8:10and the Nuggets are winning their top five team.
- 8:13In the US, he's at 25. Errol, he's killing it.
- 8:15He's at 25 points because it's just the two of them and Yokich
- 8:19is finding him for the easiest shots anyone gets.
- 8:22He's got 25 points a game in the regular season in 35 minutes.
- 8:27He's been healthy and he's shooting 42%.
- 8:30So Murray's been killing it this year.
- 8:32It's his first year healthy. I would say since that, before
- 8:37that Olympic run, he was kind of like wore himself done down a
- 8:40little. Bit I haven't been watching them
- 8:42a lot tonight. I mean, not tonight this year,
- 8:45but I, I, I just see Jamal Murray, he can't stay healthy.
- 8:49He has knee problems every other year.
- 8:51He can't stay fully, you know, at at at a top level.
- 8:54Yes, he's averaging 25 points, 4 rebounds per game and seven
- 8:57assists. So he is having a pretty good
- 8:59season, but he's got to do that consistently and he has got to
- 9:02do it in the playoffs. I don't know if I'm going to bet
- 9:04on that. And this is a team that depended
- 9:06on Michael Porter to be that third option and they don't have
- 9:08it. So it's going to be very, very
- 9:10hard to compete with. OK C but OK C again, we got to
- 9:14see if they can do it back-to-back years.
- 9:16And, and again, Houston Rockets are a dangerous, dangerous team,
- 9:20and so are the Spurs. Yeah.
- 9:21And again, this is the one team that took them pretty far in the
- 9:23playoffs. Where they dominated the
- 9:25Timberwolves in five games, they dominate.
- 9:27I forget they played in the first round.
- 9:28I think they swept them and the Nuggets.
- 9:30They have another good young player to a Peyton Watson to
- 9:33coming off the bench and he's might I don't know if he's six
- 9:35man of the year compared to Pritchard, but he's.
- 9:36He's not the six. Man, Yeah, and then fish.
- 9:40You were talking about Aaron Gordon, too.
- 9:41If he comes back healthy, that could definitely put a different
- 9:43dimension. I'm very surprised.
- 9:45I'm looking at the numbers. Jamal Murray is having a good
- 9:47year, but I I don't bet on him to stay healthy for the rest of
- 9:50the season. The Cam Johnson's giving him
- 9:51nothing. That's the problem.
- 9:53Like he's he's got 11 points for them.
- 9:54They were expecting more as him. Why?
- 9:57I mean Cam. I never thought Cam Johnson was
- 9:59any good. I.
- 10:01Never 20 points a game two years ago.
- 10:03Yeah, I don't believe in Cam Johnson.
- 10:05Who did he play for? Phoenix.
- 10:07He was pretty good off the bench with Phoenix and then it was
- 10:09with the Nets and the Durant. Yeah, please.
- 10:11He played for the Nets. That's why he got 20 points per
- 10:13game. Well, I I agree.
- 10:15I didn't think he would be. This Michael Porter's averaging,
- 10:17what, 24 points a game right now?
- 10:19Because he's the number one option right now for the Nets.
- 10:21Anybody get that again? They might, they might take that
- 10:23trade back. I don't think they would rather
- 10:25have. I think they'd probably rather
- 10:27have. Look what the Nets did to
- 10:28Thomas. Look what they said.
- 10:30They decided to par ways with him.
- 10:32And this guy had, he was averaging, what, 2627 points
- 10:35when he was the number one option the year before.
- 10:37So, I mean, anybody could score, Yeah.
- 10:40When you're scored, when you're shooting 30 or 35 shots a game,
- 10:44you're going to score 30 points. It's just the facts, especially
- 10:47if you're in the NBA. So I don't know if that's
- 10:49something to brag about. That Cam Johnson averaged 20
- 10:51points per game. Well, I'm not bragging.
- 10:54I'm just saying I'm a little surprised Dort's like Tony Allen
- 10:57if he could shoot like that's, that's who he is.
- 11:00He's just like in your face. But he also has a shot, you
- 11:03know, and Tony Allen did not have.
- 11:05A shot. I loved in your face.
- 11:06Tony Allen, I loved him. He was on the Grizzlies, right?
- 11:10Coney Allen was on the Grizzlies.
- 11:11Grizzlies and then those Celtics championship teams.
- 11:13Yeah, but Tony Allen could really get under you.
- 11:16You can really pressure you. You made you make mistakes.
- 11:20I wouldn't say Tony Allen Dort, because Tony Allen really
- 11:22didn't. He used his body.
- 11:24Dort uses his hands and gets away with it.
- 11:27He like, he pushes you, you know, somebody like Tony Allen,
- 11:31he got under you and he used his body and he made sure that every
- 11:35time you were trying to move side to side or laterally, he
- 11:38was going to stick you and he was going to get that hand in.
- 11:41And he's not going to let you dribble the ball.
- 11:42He's not going to let you crossover on him.
- 11:44They're different players, but I understand what you're saying.
- 11:46All right, the next story I wanted to bring up is something
- 11:50that's surprising to a lot of us because Cooper Flag, you know,
- 11:54obviously, coming into the league as the undisputed #1
- 11:58pick, his teammate Kon Kanupal went fourth in the draft.
- 12:02A lot of people thought that was pretty high and that might have
- 12:05been like the rub from, you know, Flag being his teammate
- 12:09that he gets to go so high in the draft.
- 12:11Well right now Kanupal has already broken the rookie 3.3
- 12:17pointers made in one rookie season record.
- 12:19He has that record in 59 games. He eclipsed that mark.
- 12:23He has also overtaken flag in the Vegas odds for Rookie of the
- 12:28Year. So let me give you the Rookie of
- 12:30the Year odds right now for Cooper Flag.
- 12:34And Cooper Flag was the favorite most of the season, but now he's
- 12:38at around plus 125 + 140. Canupel is at -160 to -170 You
- 12:46can get him right now as rookie of the year.
- 12:48That's like 3:00 to 2:00, almost a little better than three to
- 12:52two for for Canoople to be the rookie of the year.
- 12:55I do not believe Khan Canoople is going to win Rookie of the
- 12:58year. I know he has the three-point
- 12:59record. He's having a great year.
- 13:01I love Khan and I thought with the dominant player that he was
- 13:05in the tournament and with Cooper Flag going into the final
- 13:08four, I thought they were going to be in the national champion
- 13:11and they choked because we all know who the head coach is.
- 13:13But here's the facts and we understand what the facts are.
- 13:16Cock Canoe Bull is having that 3 point ability in the NBA.
- 13:21We understand what type of player he is.
- 13:22We understand how much his teammates love him.
- 13:24The Hornets he's become really the number one option over a
- 13:27Lamello Ball who has been the number one option over there
- 13:30with that organization. And now you're seeing that that
- 13:33that personality come out. You see him after the games when
- 13:37that when the coaches you know the coach speaks to the team and
- 13:41he goes out there and he's he calls him the hive.
- 13:44That's what they call him when they go 123 hive.
- 13:46I I love who Khan Kanuppal is. I love what he stands for he's
- 13:50from the that Duke blue devil team.
- 13:52He loves that that gritty coach K type of style and he he he's a
- 13:56great player. He really is I love his
- 13:58personality, but Cooper flag he's having a sensational year.
- 14:01He's playing on a bad Mavericks team.
- 14:03The the numbers that he's putting up are sensational.
- 14:05There is no way the voters are going to take Con Canupal over
- 14:08Cooper flag. Cooper flag right now is is
- 14:10averaging 1.1 more point over Con Canupal.
- 14:14He's doing as well as Khan is. Obviously Khan is in a playoff
- 14:18spot because Khan is in the East and Cooper is in the West.
- 14:22And what did The Mavericks do? They traded off all the pieces
- 14:25and they just said that Kyrie Irving's out for the season.
- 14:27He has got nothing. It's all Cooper Flag and he's
- 14:30playing the point. He's playing a point forward
- 14:32right now. He's asked to do more than con
- 14:35Canoople. So I disagree.
- 14:37I think Cooper Flag is by far the best rookie this year.
- 14:40And I don't even think it's an argument.
- 14:42And whatever Vegas is saying, they're going to be wrong.
- 14:45If you're a betting man right now, you take Cooper Flag
- 14:48winning the Rookie of the Year. Yeah, it's recency bias because
- 14:51the Hornets were hot and they've been, I think, since the
- 14:53calendar year turned one of the best teams in the East and hence
- 14:56they're in the last play in spot.
- 14:58But it just shows the problem with the fact that the NBA
- 15:00playoffs is already so large, isn't it?
- 15:01Is they're having these teams with losing records getting into
- 15:04the playoffs. Now, I'm not saying obviously,
- 15:06that the Hornets obviously are a bad team compared to their
- 15:09expectations, but they're still not a great team.
- 15:11In The Mavericks, we knew their expectations were gonna be very
- 15:13high because they made the worst.
- 15:14Trade. Here's the problem and then this
- 15:15is the argument here is the NBA has this love fest for the three
- 15:19pointer. They love it and this guy broke
- 15:21the rookie record and Steph Curry doesn't have the rookie
- 15:24record. Klay Thompson doesn't have the
- 15:25rookie record. Ray Allen doesn't have the
- 15:27rookie record. It's Con Canoople.
- 15:30So what are they doing automatically?
- 15:32He shoots up there as the rookie of the year.
- 15:35I don't get it. I I understand that he is a
- 15:38better three-point shooter than Cooper flag, but every other
- 15:40part of his game is not better than Cooper flag.
- 15:43Cooper flag is a better player. How could you automatically say
- 15:47how could obviously Vegas pick Con Canoople right now as the
- 15:52favorite to coming out as rookie?
- 15:53The I don't, I don't. I mean, I know Canoople has also
- 15:56done well with the rebounds, more than you would expect for a
- 15:58guy that's supposed to be a three-point specialist but
- 16:00flagged us. So more like you said, he's not
- 16:01playing his natural position and he's playing on a, in a Western
- 16:03Conference that's harder. And their division itself, I
- 16:05know we don't talk about divisions in the NBA that much.
- 16:07They're playing in the same division with OK C, the Rockets
- 16:10and the Spurs. So the the take is why
- 16:13Canoople's ahead the wind shares stat speedy.
- 16:17A lot of it's dependent on how much your team wins right?
- 16:20But Canuple's worth double the win shares this year as Cooper
- 16:26flag it's 6 almost 66.1 to 3.2. He's got a .5 lead in PER, which
- 16:32is an advanced metric. But you're right if Flag clearly
- 16:36has better, you know regular counting stats except 30% from
- 16:41three for flag 44% yes, and much higher volume.
- 16:47Yes, and he's getting better shots and easier shots because
- 16:50he's playing on a better team. You are the only guy on your
- 16:53roster. You're playing out of position
- 16:56right now because you have no guard play.
- 16:58You got none. So how could you give Khan
- 17:01Kanupal the rookie of the year? You give it to the guy that's.
- 17:05Playing out of position, you know, like 44, like there's a
- 17:08like like 10 guys that have like done that, you know, like.
- 17:12How open is? He crazy.
- 17:13How open is he when he's shooting these three?
- 17:15He's pretty open. I mean, they're spreading the
- 17:17ball. They have a better team.
- 17:18You got a point guard like Lamelo Ball.
- 17:20Stop. Cooper Flag, that's the point.
- 17:23That is a good point. He doesn't have to create it as
- 17:25much as Cooper Flag has to create it.
- 17:27So we'll see how it goes down. I think you're probably right.
- 17:30The voters won't pick Canoople over Flag, but it's surprising
- 17:34it's even a discussion. I don't think it's surprising at
- 17:36all. Well, I expected.
- 17:37I think Konkanupal is a special. For him to be the number two guy
- 17:41or number one guy. Duty was the number.
- 17:43Duty was #4 in the draft, he was drafted at 4:00, so he was
- 17:47expected to be a top five talent.
- 17:49Yeah, I expected Konkanupal to be there.
- 17:52I wasn't surprised that Konkanupal was having to get a
- 17:54season that he's having right now because I saw him do it all
- 17:58season long with Duke last year, and he should have done it in
- 18:01the most important game against Houston.
- 18:03But John Shire screwed up, as he always does at the tail end of
- 18:08games. Thank you, John for letting me
- 18:10take you out in this this segment.
- 18:12Only Nico Harris, who was still the GM of The Mavericks.
- 18:14Maybe he would have been done enough to fire Jason Kidd to
- 18:16hire John Shire as their. Head, I think Nico Harris would
- 18:18be stupid enough to give John Shire A5 year extension like we
- 18:22just got. Thank you Coach K for giving him
- 18:24all these, all these great players.
- 18:27Thank you. All right, let's move on to not
- 18:30a rookie, a cagey veteran who's definitely going to go in the
- 18:34Hall of Fame. James Harden.
- 18:36He has a fractured thumb, but he's playing anyway.
- 18:40He returned in a Cavs win against the his, you know, hated
- 18:45former team, the Brooklyn Nets on Sunday.
- 18:49So. Much.
- 18:52Give me a break. The pain was so much he put up.
- 18:57It looks like he put up 20229 and eight in the game.
- 19:01The. Pain was extraordinary. 4
- 19:04threes. 22 points easy. Give me a well.
- 19:08Look, he he fractured the distal phalanx of his right.
- 19:13Thumb. Oh, I'm sorry.
- 19:14His phalanx. What the hell is that?
- 19:17Give me a break. I, I distal's probably back, I
- 19:21say it's probably back here somewhere, so.
- 19:23I bet you the interns know more about a phalanx than I do.
- 19:26I I mean well. Still go Phalanx was the.
- 19:29Phalanx. I'm sorry, the phalanx.
- 19:31Phalanx is what the Spartans did.
- 19:34You know, to defeat everybody. Yeah, it sounds like a piece of
- 19:36meat. You know, a phalanx something
- 19:38the end of the meet. You know, so so we're saying
- 19:40Omaha steak should go sell Phalanx isn't?
- 19:42There you go. Name one of their meats.
- 19:44Phalanx. Yeah, Harden Phalanx.
- 19:47Cleveland trades for Harden. It's like they were missing
- 19:51something. More like hard on.
- 19:54That's a strict call identity. That's true.
- 19:58Different story. About strip clubs that went
- 20:00around and Oh my God, there was some players like we shouldn't
- 20:04have strip clubs anymore. But was that?
- 20:06That's definitely not John. Morant.
- 20:08I think it was Luke Cornett, which doesn't surprise me, but
- 20:13anyway, I didn't pick that one for dial it up.
- 20:16Sorry guys, but James Harden obviously is going to take this
- 20:21team to slightly different place than they were.
- 20:23You know he's going to be able to get it takes some of the
- 20:25pressure off of Donovan Mitchell as a primary.
- 20:28Boy or girls in scoops? He doesn't have to be a primary
- 20:32ball handler. Thumb up my ass.
- 20:34He can use that, although there will be plenty of, I guess, ball
- 20:38handling. That was the one I was trying to
- 20:40press, by the way, everybody. I was giving you more chances.
- 20:43I was trying, I was trying, I got up.
- 20:45I mean, I'm listen guys, I'm I'm trying, we move the, we move the
- 20:50video feed and I'm trying to figure out my position and it's
- 20:54just, it's tough tonight. It's tough trying to get in
- 20:57there. So, So what my question to you
- 20:58is how much is this really going to impact this Cavs team for the
- 21:03rest of the season? And is it going to?
- 21:05Squeeze them to be. Well, here's what I'm going to
- 21:09say. It's not going to make a big
- 21:10difference. I don't think it's going to
- 21:12affect James Harden. As we've seen right there.
- 21:15They're still winning. They're still finding a ways to
- 21:17win. They've got great offensive guys
- 21:20on this team, great rebounders. This is a great offensive
- 21:23rebounding team. I don't think there's any
- 21:25complaints, and they have one of the best sports coach minds in
- 21:29all of basketball and all of sports in Kenny Atkinson.
- 21:32The guy knows how to coach defense.
- 21:34He knows how to coach offense. I don't think it's going to be a
- 21:36big problem. James Harden hurting his
- 21:38failings. What the hell?
- 21:41Stop complaining. Stop bitching.
- 21:42It's so stupid. James Harden, as long as he's
- 21:46ready for the playoffs, which he will be, and hopefully he plays
- 21:49at a top level, I think the Cavaliers are going to create a
- 21:52scare for some of these teams like the Knicks, like the
- 21:54Celtics, like the Detroit Pistons.
- 21:57Expect these four or five teams to be competitive and get ready
- 22:01for the playoffs because you're going to see very professional,
- 22:05great basketball in the Eastern Conference this year.
- 22:08I think it's going to be fun to watch and we're going to see
- 22:10there's no Halliburton, there's no Indiana.
- 22:12They could have Kamboozer next year, which is going to make me
- 22:14sick to my stomach. So yeah, all that and more.
- 22:18Thumb, phalanx, Slalinx, gay links, it doesn't matter.
- 22:23Who cares? I could care less.
- 22:25The Cavaliers will be fine. Yeah, the Cavaliers are just
- 22:27gonna have to hope for the JA jinx for not to happen, which is
- 22:30James Harden in the playoffs just being an absolute debacle.
- 22:33Like you said before, he's gonna have a smaller role like I we
- 22:35were talking about like Harden coming off the bench of with
- 22:37LeBron when? We circled.
- 22:39Last week, like that's the idea that it should have Harden
- 22:42should be like a fourth option. And I think you saw the Sixers
- 22:44try to do that sometimes when they had him, but not enough
- 22:47where I don't think it was good enough for winning.
- 22:49The Cavs are much more talented than the Sixers.
- 22:51Do all right, we'll see how that goes.
- 22:52I still am very dubious of anyone that brings in a guy like
- 22:56that late season thinking that they're going to make.
- 22:58A my phalanx. It's hurting me well.
- 23:02We're going to move from Phalanx's Errol to Tyler Bone,
- 23:07stresses how was Yeah, this is what's going on with Zach Edie.
- 23:12Zach Edie missed, had a really good rookie season and then
- 23:16missed at the end of this season with an injury.
- 23:19He's only played eleven games this year.
- 23:22He's now out for the season. This is a guy that's real big
- 23:27with bad feet already, and that's a problem.
- 23:30Joel Embiid missing another three games, a little, a little
- 23:35oblique, little, you know, take a little, take it easy into the
- 23:39playoffs. It's kind of remarkable with
- 23:41Maxi and Edgecomb really coming on have done make you kind of
- 23:45forget about MB to an extent with all this.
- 23:49The fact that they're still playing pretty well and then
- 23:52Steph Curry, that knee is not getting better.
- 23:54This this is kind of like a being kept quiet.
- 23:58He's out at least another five games if his knee is not.
- 24:03Not even like 80% that they got nothing at all.
- 24:06I will say this, if I was a young athlete, I want to play
- 24:12basketball because think about it, Joel Embiid, who barely even
- 24:16plays, he's making $50 million a year and he doesn't even have to
- 24:19step on a basketball court. Paul George can't stay healthy.
- 24:22He's making what, 50 million, $50 million a year?
- 24:25Doesn't even have to play on a basketball court, and they play
- 24:26for the same organization. Please.
- 24:29As far as the Ed thing, we knew this was going to happen when he
- 24:32came from Purdue. He played in the national
- 24:34championship. He was a guy that some people
- 24:37question coming out of the draft.
- 24:39Some people thought he was a second round talent.
- 24:41I didn't. I thought he had a good game.
- 24:43He has a good basketball game. He has good footwork for a big
- 24:46man, but he's had bad feet. He has a lot of weight on his
- 24:50feet. When he was coming into the NBA,
- 24:51they said he needed to lose weight.
- 24:53It was going to be a big problem if he didn't keep that weight
- 24:56off him. And it's been a big problem
- 24:58since he's come into the league. And as far as Steph Curry is
- 25:00concerned, Steph Curry is older now.
- 25:03He's not healing as fast. He's had ankle problems when he
- 25:05came into the league and he was out for a significant amount of
- 25:08time in his first three years. Maybe Steph Curry has better
- 25:12numbers than he has if he actually played his first three
- 25:14years healthy. So I'm not surprised.
- 25:17Steph Curry's at the tail end. He's on a back 18.
- 25:20We said this already. I don't know how much time Steph
- 25:23Curry has left in the NBA and I think he'll be a very good
- 25:26coach. I really do.
- 25:28If he wants to coach in the NBA or he wants to do something as
- 25:31an executive in the future like LeBron James, I think he'd be
- 25:34very, very good. But I think I expect him to play
- 25:37at least a year, maybe another I, I just don't know how healthy
- 25:41he's going to be for those years so.
- 25:43Now you're Steph Curry is somebody that you have to look
- 25:45at with minor injuries. I think at this point you hope
- 25:48it's nothing major and I think the Warriors done a good job at
- 25:50making sure that doesn't happen. But with them beat, it's a
- 25:53different case. He's had too many major injuries
- 25:54that it's going to pile up eventually.
- 25:56Think about this. You have 100 and like $15
- 25:59million in these two players. Think about it and both guys are
- 26:04not playing right now. One guy's suspended, Yep, and
- 26:07the other guy can't stay healthy and he doesn't want to play
- 26:10back-to-back games because he's a bitch.
- 26:11Oh yeah, that. Oh, that wasn't that.
- 26:13You're right. That was a fun story we had last
- 26:15year too. Joel Embiid being the softest
- 26:17guy that's 7 foot in NBA history pretty much at this.
- 26:20Rate. He's a crybaby, yeah.
- 26:21In addition to that, he's a hypocrite and oh, I'm the most
- 26:24hated player in the NBA. It's like, whatever that story.
- 26:26Yeah, that was fun. I think that's a crock.
- 26:29I mean, yeah. I mean, Brooks is a hated
- 26:31player. Draymond Green's a hated.
- 26:33Good player. I have never heard anybody in
- 26:36the last three years say that Joel Embiid is the most hated
- 26:39player in the. NBA.
- 26:40No, no, this was his own. Claim.
- 26:41I know, I'm just saying. I mean, people don't like Joel
- 26:44Embiid. If you asked anybody, they would
- 26:46probably say I hate the guy. I mean, I know half the Knicks
- 26:49hate him because of what he did in the playoffs.
- 26:51Intentionally hurt Mitchell Robinson in the playoffs a
- 26:53couple years ago. But whatever, screw that guy.
- 26:56He's hurt. He's not even.
- 26:58He's like an afterthought on his own team now because of the
- 27:01youngsters really taking over. It's going to be weird how that
- 27:03goes going forwards. One last story, this one was
- 27:07really strange. I don't know if you've been
- 27:09paying attention to it, but you know, Porzingis was traded to
- 27:15the Warriors earlier this year and it hasn't gone well.
- 27:20He isn't able to play, so he's going to miss his fourth
- 27:23consecutive game with a general illness.
- 27:27Now, it was thought that he had something called POTS, which is
- 27:32postural orthostatic tachycardia, tachycardia
- 27:36syndrome. Cardia means heart.
- 27:38So it's scary whenever you know that.
- 27:40I don't know anything about it, but apparently Kerr said
- 27:43something. He had to walk it back.
- 27:45He's like, it's actually not POTS.
- 27:47They can't reveal what the condition is.
- 27:50But I mean, I mean, Steph Curry, he's got runner's knee or Zingis
- 27:55can't play with, you know, I mean some alien virus who even
- 28:01knows what it is, you know, like something from.
- 28:05Short Draymond Green didn't give these guys viruses.
- 28:07He might have. But it just seems like Steve
- 28:12Kerr maybe should have like packed it in before this.
- 28:14Year I said that. You're from hell bro.
- 28:17I've been saying that. I've been saying that he should
- 28:19have just walked away. He had a chance to walk.
- 28:22Look, the GM walked. Now he's running what?
- 28:25How many? Or he's running an organization.
- 28:27He's running a football organization.
- 28:28I think he's. Running the Washington,
- 28:30Washington Commanders. He leaves ESPN to run a football
- 28:34organization. I mean, Myers is is looking like
- 28:37gold. He leaves at the perfect time
- 28:40for the Golden State Warriors. Steve Kerr, all he had to do was
- 28:43walk away after they won that championship against the
- 28:45Celtics. He was done.
- 28:46He did what he was supposed to do without Kevin Durant a second
- 28:49time. And what did he do?
- 28:52You know what? Yeah, I could play.
- 28:54I could coach another couple of years.
- 28:56I got Steph. I got Draymond.
- 28:58These guys are washed up. The poor Zingis thing.
- 29:01We knew this was going to happen.
- 29:03He was a Nick. This guy could not stay healthy
- 29:05with the Knicks. He couldn't stay healthy with
- 29:07Dallas. He couldn't stay healthy with
- 29:09the Celtics. And now he can't stay healthy
- 29:11with you know who, the Golden State Warriors.
- 29:14This guy's career is pretty much over.
- 29:16The Unicorn is uniless. So goodbye, farewell.
- 29:20And by the way, the Golden State Warriors look like a bunch of
- 29:22jackasses. Yeah, it's always the rest you
- 29:24have running for a training for a guy like this.
- 29:26Obviously he was able to stay healthy with the first year with
- 29:28the Celtics when they won the championship.
- 29:29But think about the impact that the Celtics had when they lost
- 29:31him last year. Like the Knicks were able to
- 29:33expose him, dominate him inside. And now Golden State, we they
- 29:35traded for him because they had no inside presence.
- 29:37I know Al Horford's gone over there and played well, but he's
- 29:3942 years old. You're not going to expect him
- 29:40to have to do. Everything I would love.
- 29:42To hear what Kevin Durant is giving him a nickname now of, I
- 29:45mean, seriously, he called him the Unicorn.
- 29:48I would love to hear what Kevin Durant has to say on his, what,
- 29:5110 Twitter accounts? Oh yeah.
- 29:52Please. Maybe.
- 29:55Maybe he's more deserving of that nickname than Travis Hunter
- 29:58tried to give himself that nickname.
- 29:59But Unicorn? Unicorn.
- 30:02Do you know what a Unicorn is? By the way, my favorite animal,
- 30:05Travis Hunter, has no Unicorn. He's a gremlin.
- 30:07OK, let's stop with this crap. There's Unicorn crap.
- 30:11There's you want to call LeBron James a Unicorn?
- 30:14LeBron James a Unicorn? I mean, look what he's done at
- 30:17the at his position. Michael Jordan was a Unicorn.
- 30:19Michael Jordan changed the position.
- 30:21Magic Johnson's a Unicorn. He changed the position.
- 30:24Stop with this, This poor Zingis.
- 30:26What did he change? Norton here's a Unicorn.
- 30:30Jokic, that's a Unicorn. He changed the center position.
- 30:34You want to talk about a Unicorn?
- 30:36That's a Unicorn. Yeah, except he'll still
- 30:38reference it himself. As for Zingis as his horses,
- 30:41he's. Nothing, but he's nothing but a
- 30:42horse's ass. Yes, that's that's a better
- 30:44analogy. Nicole Jokic could just
- 30:46reference his horses as unicorns, and he'll send some
- 30:48horses after Luge Dort along with his brother and the mob.
- 30:51All right, well, that is the NBA round table.
- 30:56We will probably get back to some news in a couple of weeks
- 30:59as we head towards the playoffs. You know what?
- 31:02I get a little bit thrown off because I listen to James Harden
- 31:05and and Bead. These are guys that I'm not big
- 31:07fans of. I'm really not.
- 31:09And I knew you were going to bring them up in this
- 31:12conversation because you know, I can't stand them.
- 31:14But thank God you didn't bring up Draymond Green because this
- 31:19guy, and I will say this for all the fans that don't follow
- 31:22Draymond Crean on social media and his stupid podcast, this guy
- 31:27just wants clicks. He wants clicks and it goes out
- 31:31there. He throws his teammates under
- 31:33the bus, he attacks the New York like, like, do we want to hear
- 31:37your take on the New York Knicks?
- 31:38I could give a crap. And then he has an ex Nick on
- 31:41his show all the time and I don't want to hear his take.
- 31:45I really don't. And it's embarrassing because a
- 31:49guy that really doesn't pay attention to anything but but
- 31:52his team, the Golden State Warriors and probably the
- 31:54Western Conference, he goes out and he says stuff and he brings
- 31:57up teams that he doesn't like, kind of like Charles Barkley,
- 32:01who always has something to say about the New York Knicks and it
- 32:03just. Turns you off.
- 32:05On any of the content that he has to provide or puts out there
- 32:08that you want to listen to. Draymond, do me a favor.
- 32:11Don't talk about anything but your own garbage.
- 32:15I could care less because to me, the any anytime you have
- 32:19anything good to say, it's about the Golden State Warriors.
- 32:22Why don't we talk about the problem that you had with Paul?
- 32:24Why don't we talk about the problem you have with Klay
- 32:26Thompson? Why don't we talk about you have
- 32:28the problem with the Steve Kerr situation?
- 32:30Everybody you have the problems with.
- 32:32You don't have a problem with Steph Curry or do you?
- 32:35Maybe there's something behind it.
- 32:36Maybe that's why Steph Curry doesn't want to come back
- 32:38because he don't want to play with Draymond Green.
- 32:40And this could be Draymond Green's last year with the, the,
- 32:42the Golden State Warriors Sayonara, as we all say.
- 32:45So that's my take on the whole Draymond Green take.
- 32:48That's it. I had to add that because I
- 32:50just, every time I pop on his stuff on YouTube and, and for,
- 32:55for some reason, YouTube is, is for all the athletes.
- 32:58If, if you're, if you're an athlete, you're, you're
- 33:01probably, if you're a big known athlete, your channel is going
- 33:04to do very, very well on YouTube because everybody is going to
- 33:06follow you. Oh, it's Steve Smith or, oh,
- 33:08it's Travis Hunter or, or oh, it's Draymond Green.
- 33:12And I, I want to listen to what he has to say.
- 33:14Why? Because he's an idiot.
- 33:15He's a Jackass. LeBron James so I I could see
- 33:19why YouTube is booming right now and you're in the algorithm
- 33:23because, you know, Draymond Green has nothing good to say
- 33:25and everything bad to say about everybody else.
- 33:27So that's my take. All right.
- 33:29Tic tac toe Tick. Tick Morris.
- 33:32Right in the butt we get the prizes cheat because they're
- 33:37stolen. No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 33:47Oh, and the speedster dancing around in the background, as he
- 33:50always does. I mean, it's one of the ugliest
- 33:53dances we'll ever see, ladies and gentlemen.
- 33:54But you get to see my bareback head.
- 33:57I mean my bareback head. I like that.
- 34:00Now, does nothing have a bare backdrop?
- 34:02I thought he did. No, I think you have.
- 34:04A big was. I'm pretty sure either you were.
- 34:06Name Chroma. Chroma.
- 34:09Ass liquor, I got to add. I got to add that for you.
- 34:11I mean that definitely. Fits the whole let's.
- 34:13Bring the interns in for this one.
- 34:16Yes, let's get the guys in. That should be fun here.
- 34:21Let's go like that. Speedy.
- 34:24We got Tic Tac. No, you were victorious last
- 34:26time we played. It's time for us to get our
- 34:29revenge. Yeah, we had a we had two shows
- 34:31in a row because we had to scratch King of the Hill last
- 34:34week. You dominated the time before
- 34:36that. We'll start with that UConn
- 34:38women's basketball team that you mentioned.
- 34:41They have been undefeated in the regular season a lot, 6 times in
- 34:44that in this century. There's only been two other
- 34:46women's basketball teams that have finished a regular season
- 34:48undefeated this century. Name of those two teams?
- 34:51You guys get multiple guesses. Baylor.
- 34:53Baylor was one of them. Yes, that was correct.
- 34:56Women's. Right.
- 34:57Women's basketball, yes. Was the other one not South
- 34:59Carolina? South Carolina.
- 35:01There we go, right there we go. Ballard, South Carolina.
- 35:04There we go, all. Right, you guys got that one
- 35:06very. Sweet, that was, that was the
- 35:08little. Easy.
- 35:09I was going to say, it was kind of easy there.
- 35:10Come on now. I'm not.
- 35:13All right, let's let's put this one up and we'll put Tommy and
- 35:19Errol in the this just. Put Tommy.
- 35:22You don't have to put us both, just put Tommy.
- 35:24I can countless sharing is caring Errol.
- 35:28That's not what? There you go.
- 35:30That's not what somebody's mom told me the other night.
- 35:34Bye, Speedy. Wow, you're gonna.
- 35:36You're gonna. Our interns are making.
- 35:37Well, actually, Zeus's been on Tic Tac.
- 35:38No, but I believe Zach is making his Tic Tac no debut.
- 35:41When you're gonna talk about their moms like that?
- 35:42Come on. I'm.
- 35:43Talking about yours with a. Sea creature Don't get any ideas
- 35:49of sleeping with sea creatures, either interns or horseradish.
- 35:54Speedy, you're ridiculous. Go on to the next.
- 35:57One All right, so a sort that Yukon isn't as good at is
- 36:00football normally, but they do have two players that had one of
- 36:04the seven players that have had 44 / 40 inch verticals.
- 36:09The Cowboys in 2015, their first round pick and a second round
- 36:12pick for the Raiders in 2017. Name one of these players.
- 36:16Freaking daily lives. A first round pick for the
- 36:20Raiders and he said. No.
- 36:22A second round pick for the Raiders.
- 36:23A fourth round. What was the question?
- 36:25Tate again. That came from UConn.
- 36:27OK, They were had 40 / 40 inch at the at the combine.
- 36:31One was a first round pick for the Cowboys in 2015.
- 36:33The other one was a second round pick for the Raiders in 2017.
- 36:36Named one of these two players. I'm lost.
- 36:40You're telling us to say random UConn NFL draft picks?
- 36:44Is that what you're saying? With the 40.
- 36:46One of the two, one of the two was a good starting player for a
- 36:49while. The other one, the other one was
- 36:52a like a fringe safety. But name one of the two players.
- 36:56Name any of either of the players.
- 36:58Either one. You don't even.
- 36:59Yeah, you don't need both. Of those, name one good UConn
- 37:01player in the last 10 years. That's all you should have sold.
- 37:04I know a running back. I know a running back from
- 37:06Indianapolis. It's.
- 37:08I can't even name a UConn player.
- 37:11God football. I know who.
- 37:14You're are they in the league? Are they in the league?
- 37:16Not anymore. One of them.
- 37:18One of them. I think he just retired
- 37:19recently. I'll give you a hint on that
- 37:22one. He also played for Miami after
- 37:25he was with the Cowboys. I, I don't know, Jesus.
- 37:37I mean, didn't Donald Brown play for Yukon?
- 37:39That's the running back arrow was mentioning, but that was the
- 37:42one that set a combine record. I would I want to pull jobless.
- 37:44Consists so did Matt Pair, I believe.
- 37:48Yes. He played for Yukon.
- 37:51But he also did not jump 40 inches.
- 37:53I'm a little. Lost on this question.
- 37:55All right, the Cowboys player was a corner Cowboys player.
- 38:00That's the last thing they'll get for.
- 38:02This this is This is such an obscure question.
- 38:05Speedy Zoot or Zach, you got any guesses?
- 38:09You're not allowed to look up anything on this.
- 38:11I got. Enough because they don't have
- 38:13tongues. Now these players all have
- 38:15tongues. How much?
- 38:17How much cars drive in circles? I'm not going to know this one.
- 38:22We have Cowboys corner corners. We give up.
- 38:26Try to get my head out of his. Crotch.
- 38:28Oh God. Fish said.
- 38:29He has nothing. We all got all.
- 38:30Right. So Oli Melafano was the safety,
- 38:33Byron Jones. Byron Jones was the Cowboys
- 38:35corner. All right, Byron.
- 38:37I know Byron Jones. All right, I didn't know he
- 38:40played for UCOD. Yes, he did.
- 38:42He actually had the Combine record, the jump, a vertical
- 38:44jump record at the time before it was broken.
- 38:46I think five other times since then all.
- 38:49Right. Where are you going?
- 38:50Let's go bottom left. Hopefully not up his ass.
- 38:54All right. Next question.
- 38:55All right, let's go to. Daily.
- 38:57Wise, let's go to some hockey here.
- 38:58So the we talk about Matthew Schaefer possibly being a Norris
- 39:02candidate, just 18 years old. Fantastic.
- 39:04Bobby Orr obviously won Norris multiple times, 21.
- 39:08He's the only one besides one other player 21 years or younger
- 39:12that won the Norris Trophy. So besides Bobby Orr, who is the
- 39:14only other one to do it? Defenseman.
- 39:17A defenseman? Yep.
- 39:20That was under 21. Yep. 21 he was exactly 21, so 21
- 39:24or younger, but he was this guy who did it was exactly. 20 All
- 39:26right, so if anybody doesn't want to answer, I'll answer all
- 39:29of them and I'll see if I can get this right I'm.
- 39:32Going to immediately take. Them.
- 39:33All right, You want me to take yours, you can immediately take
- 39:35mine. All right, so here's one of
- 39:37them. Nicholas Lindstrom.
- 39:38Nope. All right.
- 39:40That was that was going to be my guess.
- 39:42OK, so I got to think of another one.
- 39:44You can take my guess too. I got nothing, all right,
- 39:47defenseman. Hokey players, hockey players.
- 39:50All right, so defenseman that were great young.
- 39:57Speedy, give us a year, the years.
- 40:00Could you give us a hand? I will give you a hand.
- 40:01He is still in the league right now.
- 40:03OK, Carlson. Yes, it is Kyra Carlson.
- 40:05Good job. I mean, come on, dude, that was
- 40:09easy. I mean, I could.
- 40:10Have told you it was I was. Going to say Carlson.
- 40:12Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, He was going to say Carlson, you
- 40:15believe? Me.
- 40:15You had to. You had to ask for a hint to
- 40:17confirm my suspicions. Your your suspicions is your
- 40:19thumb up your ass. Why don't you go play with your
- 40:21flankies, Whatever the hell it is my flankies, whatever that
- 40:28was at. 23740 play with your flankies.
- 40:32I'm going to go what should be tricky for Speedy to do deal
- 40:38with. Let's go this way.
- 40:41All right. Next question, Speedy?
- 40:44All right, let's go to the men's college basketball sides.
- 40:46We talked about Duke being number one in the AP poll now a
- 40:48record 149 times. Again, who are the only other
- 40:52three other teams? You have to get all three teams
- 40:54that have been on it 100 or more times.
- 40:57North Carolina is 1. North Carolina is 1. 100 times
- 41:05UNLV. Not UNLV.
- 41:08All right, So you're out of guesses.
- 41:10You got North Carolina. Kentucky.
- 41:15Kentucky has one of them. Yep, one more.
- 41:21I have one, I've got the other one that's in my head.
- 41:26Anybody want me to help you? No, I'm.
- 41:28Trying to think I'm going to see if I can't get it.
- 41:30I'm a second guess for a. 100 times.
- 41:35Yes, they're they're some of the best.
- 41:37Just think of the best programs. So we've already got Duke, North
- 41:42Carolina and Kentucky. Kentucky, give me the Indiana.
- 41:47Indiana. Not Indiana and not Florida.
- 41:50Nope, I was. Going to say Indiana before.
- 41:51I I'm telling you, Villanova. It's not Villanova.
- 41:54I get 2 right? You said yes.
- 41:56You got my other one here. You got one more guess.
- 41:58Ariel could take my other one. Kansas.
- 42:00Nope. Really.
- 42:02That is your guess though. So I believe Zoot, you got one
- 42:06more guess. And Zach, I don't know if you
- 42:08want to guess. I don't know how well you would
- 42:09live with college basketball, but you can guess as well.
- 42:14Michigan State? Nope.
- 42:16That's a good one. That's a good guess.
- 42:18That's a good guess. That was a good guess.
- 42:19All right, Zach, you got 2 guesses.
- 42:21Or you could sell them off to the highest bidder.
- 42:26Man, like I just, I don't, I'll be honest, for the first half of
- 42:29the question I totally thought we were saying college football
- 42:33and I was so confused that y'all's answers this.
- 42:35Is basketball I never heard of the.
- 42:37Skin No, I finally locked in. I'll dude, I'll I'll I'll sell,
- 42:41man. All right, all right, all.
- 42:43Right, Errol, you take one, I'll take the other.
- 42:45One, I'll let you go first. All right, give me, let's go to
- 42:58the Big East maybe. Maybe Yukon?
- 43:06Nope. Interesting.
- 43:08All right, one more guess. Villanova.
- 43:11Someone said Villanova. Somebody said Villanova.
- 43:13OK, Arizona. No, I wasn't as serious.
- 43:20No. So you guys were thinking of
- 43:22like really good modern programs.
- 43:25You should have thought of one in the past.
- 43:26And that was UCLA. That was the answer.
- 43:29Oh my goddamnit, that's. I was thinking UCLA and USC.
- 43:34But I was going to say USC. Errol, we were even talking
- 43:38about that earlier yesterday. UCLA, we were all right.
- 43:41Speedy, where you going? You get a.
- 43:42Bottom right, bottom right all. Right.
- 43:46Next question. All right, so we'll go to the
- 43:47NBA now, who is the Obviously we talked about the LeBron to Cavs
- 43:51rumors last week in Lebron's rookie season in O3O4.
- 43:54So obviously his first year with the Cavs, who was the second
- 43:56leading scorer on that team after.
- 43:58Larry use. Nope.
- 44:01On that. Team Was it Zedrunas Ilgauskas?
- 44:05He was on the team, but he was not the second leading scorer.
- 44:07Hold on, hold on, hold on. I knew.
- 44:13What's his name again? Oh my God, I think I know who
- 44:19it's going to be, Daniel. Gibson, Boobie.
- 44:21Gibson. No, it's a good.
- 44:24Guess you can do my guess again, I have no idea.
- 44:31Was it a Galskis? No, I said a Galskis.
- 44:34He said Ogalskis, Ogalskis was on the team.
- 44:36He was not the second leading scorer.
- 44:38He was .2 points per game behind this guy.
- 44:43This game. I was pretty close to that
- 44:45gaskis. I'm trying to think of the team
- 44:51and remember that team. I'm trying to also, they were
- 44:57bad, that's why they got LeBron. Yeah, even with.
- 45:02LeBron. His first name?
- 45:03Start with Eric. Nope.
- 45:05OK, so it's not. Him, that team, yeah, that team
- 45:08had one Eric on the team, Eric Williams.
- 45:10But that is not the answer. OK cuz.
- 45:12He was a. Was this guy like a high draft
- 45:16pick who flamed out? No.
- 45:18No, I think I know who he is. He was a power forward, right?
- 45:23I know who it is. And I can't.
- 45:27I can't remember his name. The big Brazilian with the hair
- 45:33God. So Vera gel.
- 45:35No, so Tommy gave his guests away.
- 45:42So Zoo, I believe you stole the guests.
- 45:45I already said Boobie Gibson. Oh, you said Gibson.
- 45:48That's right. So, Zach?
- 45:48Is a guest, Zach is a. Guest.
- 45:50Come on, Zach, give it to us. Let me name a single player on
- 45:56that O3O4 you said O3O four. Yes, LeBron, I was a year.
- 46:00I was a year old. That's funny.
- 46:07Biting. Action.
- 46:10Who else could have been on that team?
- 46:12All right, hold on. We got it.
- 46:16We got to try because this he wins if we don't get.
- 46:18This Oh, he does win, yeah. I have that bottom row to block
- 46:22block block you also gives. Me.
- 46:23Give us a hint, Speedy. Who did he play with besides the
- 46:27Cavaliers? All right, he played for Utah as
- 46:33well. Played for Utah.
- 46:39Oh, I can't. Be Williams?
- 46:44No. No, it wasn't MO MO was after.
- 46:48That's what I thought too. All right, Speedy, looks like
- 46:51you're the winner tonight. Goodbye.
- 46:53Well. The the big thing is you should
- 46:55have realized we talked about his son last week and it is
- 46:58Carlos Boozer. Oh, my God.
- 47:01I can't believe Carlos. I I forgot about Carlos Boozer.
- 47:05He was drafted by the Cavaliers before he went to Utah.
- 47:08I can't believe I forgot that. Yeah.
- 47:10Holy crap. That was another year he was
- 47:12with the cows before he went. To Utah.
- 47:13Oh my God, I was. After that.
- 47:14How did I forget that I was? I was.
- 47:17Speaking about that, like, was it with you?
- 47:19I was speaking with somebody. I was on the treadmill and I was
- 47:22speaking about. Yeah.
- 47:22I think it was with me. I think it was last week.
- 47:24Yeah, I was on the treadmill. I was talking about Carlos
- 47:27Boozer, and I was like, oh, the Cavaliers draft.
- 47:29I can't believe. I forgot that.
- 47:31Can't believe. Makes me sick.
- 47:34Speedy, you got us this time, man.
- 47:38We'll find a way. Just like you.
- 47:41Yeah, you guys are great, by the way.
- 47:45I want to I want to tell you something for all the fans out
- 47:47there, Zoot and Zach and all the interns that have been working
- 47:51with us, Dom, all of them, they're all sensational.
- 47:54You guys have been sensational. All the work you guys do.
- 47:57We really appreciate you guys on the back end of everything.
- 48:00So we love when you guys join the show.
- 48:02We love the what you've been doing.
- 48:04I want to tell you guys I I don't give a give enough credit
- 48:07when credit is due. Thank you for all the work that
- 48:09you guys have been doing. So all right, there we are.
- 48:13Thanks. For having us.
- 48:14On absolutely, absolutely. You guys are great.
- 48:16Zoot. I, I know a little bit about you
- 48:18through my, my friend Justin and, and his mom and your mom
- 48:23and, and all that stuff that I know a little bit of back end
- 48:26with you and, and Zach and, and Dom.
- 48:29I, I've heard a lot about you, a lot of praise from our, our
- 48:33executive producer up there, Coach Fish, who sometimes has
- 48:37his thumb up his ass, but he, he at least knows what he's talking
- 48:41about when it comes to talent and interns.
- 48:44So thank you to the old fisherman himself.
- 48:47All right, we call this call your shot.
- 48:50I'm not an X's and O's guy, right?
- 48:52I'm not a tactician. I'm a motivator in the classic
- 48:54sense of the word. You know, Lombardi, Charles
- 48:56Lindbergh, that nun over in India, like those people call
- 49:00your shot all. Right, ladies and gentlemen,
- 49:06nobody needs to call something because you know, Fish is always
- 49:08calling something and he's always wrong, ladies and
- 49:11gentlemen. Oh well, we don't know if he's
- 49:12wrong, but I'm going to say he's always wrong anyways.
- 49:16Baby wasn't so wrong about JSN before the NFL season.
- 49:20But I wasn't calling your shot anyways.
- 49:25Thank you. All right, what's what's the
- 49:27order? All right, so who do we have?
- 49:29We have me, you and Speedy, right?
- 49:32Yeah, as long as Speedy Speedy's really struggling with the
- 49:35technology. Yeah, now my green screen wasn't
- 49:38loading, so I'm trying to open another Chrome browser, so I'm
- 49:41on audio for now. He's on.
- 49:42Audio. All right, so we'll just use you
- 49:44on audio for now. We still hear your ugly voice.
- 49:47All right, let's go. Let's go, fish.
- 49:50Let's go, Speedy. Let's go.
- 49:51Me. Here we go.
- 49:52I, I got a real simple call your shot.
- 49:54We're going to be diving real deep into NCAA basketball over
- 49:58the next few weeks. Obviously leading into the
- 50:00tournament, conference tournaments.
- 50:03I've decided I know who's going to win the NCAA championship
- 50:06already. I've been watching it all
- 50:07season. Go ahead.
- 50:09They're in action tonight against Iowa State.
- 50:12I don't care if they don't win this game.
- 50:13I expect them to win this game. But Arizona is finally going to
- 50:19get it done. They have such a deep roster at
- 50:23all the positions. They have the bigs that can
- 50:26shoot. They have the the phenom
- 50:29freshman in buries who's a better than they thought he was
- 50:32going to be coming in. They got the senior point guard.
- 50:36They've got everything and they got the bench players as well.
- 50:39They got double double S off the bench if they need it to from
- 50:42their forwards and centers. I am all in on the Wildcats and
- 50:47listen, Errol, they're so good. Bryce James had to red shirt
- 50:52this season. He couldn't even make this
- 50:55roster. Yes, Bronnie's little brother
- 50:57couldn't make this roster. That's how you know this is a
- 51:00Championship squad. Oh.
- 51:03Yeah, all. Right.
- 51:05Normally I've done college basketball, but I'm actually the
- 51:07shift some hockey for this. Week I couldn't take a.
- 51:09Shift Fish You brought it up in the sports minute about the
- 51:12Kings firing their head coach and.
- 51:13Jimmy the hot ladies. And I don't, I don't remember
- 51:17who the interim coach is offhand, but I do think they
- 51:19will make the playoffs, but I think they'll be out in the
- 51:21first round. So you know who they're going to
- 51:22hire as their next head coach now that our Tammy Panarin is
- 51:25there, Kevin Fialas, when he comes back healthy, one of their
- 51:28best players, Both of those guys, former coaches.
- 51:31Peter Laviolette will be the LA Kings head coach next.
- 51:35I have no sack. Wow, I could see it.
- 51:41All right. I, I've been thinking about
- 51:44this. You know what, I think it
- 51:46probably scares people away. So I'm going to go with another
- 51:50hockey one. I have to.
- 51:52And I, you know who the Norris Trophy is going to be, You know,
- 51:55you know who the Norris Trophy is going to right this year.
- 51:58I'm going to tell you who it's going to.
- 51:59It's going to go to Matthew Schaefer.
- 52:01Matthew Schaefer is having having a sensational year since
- 52:05the since I don't even call it the All Star break.
- 52:07Since the Olympic break, he scored three goals.
- 52:10He's been a big part of the Islander success.
- 52:12They've won three games in a row.
- 52:14They have been unbelievable and winning games at the tail end of
- 52:17the games when they're down by one or down by two, coming back
- 52:21and knocking off teams, he's been unbelievable.
- 52:24He's been a big part of the leadership there and has changed
- 52:27everything for this New York Island team.
- 52:29He's Patrick Wok, who win Coach of the Year this year, and one
- 52:31of the main reasons why is really just getting lucky with
- 52:35Matthew Schaefer. Matthew Schaefer to me is going
- 52:38to be the Norris Trophy winner. He might be the first, right?
- 52:42He'd be the first person to win the Norris Trophy as a rookie,
- 52:45as a defenseman, right? I think he is going to be the
- 52:48first Norris rookie defenseman to ever win that award.
- 52:53So congratulations and I will say congratulations when it
- 52:57happens. The Islanders have a good one.
- 52:58This guy is a super, super superstar right in the making it
- 53:03it's unbelievable. 18 years old. He has over 20 goals already.
- 53:06There's so much hockey left to be played.
- 53:08The kid could actually score 30 goals in his rookie season.
- 53:11I wouldn't be surprised if he does.
- 53:13I really everybody keeps talking about Cal Macar and, and what
- 53:16he's been doing and, and I I'm I love Macar.
- 53:19I think he's special. This kid is 18 years old, 18
- 53:23years old. He probably doesn't even have
- 53:25any, you know, hair on his, you know what?
- 53:27And this guy is putting up the numbers right now.
- 53:31That's just amazing people. And he's such a leader.
- 53:34He's so fast. He's such a good kid.
- 53:36He's very likable. It goes on different shows.
- 53:39He doesn't really hold back. He talks about his family and
- 53:43and everybody, all the teammates.
- 53:45He doesn't really take credit for all the great things that
- 53:47he's doing right now for the Islanders organization.
- 53:49And they got a kid that's coming up right now.
- 53:52And what is his name? HSN.
- 53:55I mean, this kid special too. Look what he's doing in the OHL
- 53:58right now. Could you imagine these two guys
- 54:00as your future frontline defenseman?
- 54:03HSN and Matthew? Schaefer Everybody says 2
- 54:07lefties. Can't be in the same line.
- 54:08Why not? Why not?
- 54:10I, I, I know one guy hits and, and, and both of them can score
- 54:13goals. HSN right now leads the he leads
- 54:16the OHL in goal scoring for defense.
- 54:19Man, he he's had I think 14 points in the last past week,
- 54:22week and a half. He's been unbelievable for the
- 54:25OHL. This kid will be in the NHL in
- 54:26the next two years. The Islanders have something
- 54:29special brewing. I'm, I'm loving it.
- 54:30I, I'm, I'm excited as an Islander fan, finally, I've got
- 54:34something to be happy about. All right, there you go.
- 54:37So Nors Trophy winner Matthew Schaefer, thank you to all the
- 54:40fans, all the people tuning in and following us on Spotify and
- 54:45Apple. We had a very big weekend when
- 54:47it came to views and unique listeners.
- 54:51I, I don't get what's going on as far as the Apple and Spotify
- 54:56credit. Doesn't make any sense to me.
- 54:58There were people jumping 100 spots.
- 55:00It makes no sense. There's somebody tampering over
- 55:03there at Apple, so it doesn't make any sense, but whatever.
- 55:07I'm not going to say anything. All I know is we really
- 55:11appreciate everybody on Apple and Spotify and audio and video

- 55:35We really guys, we know we're not we don't have a niche and
- 55:38that that could be the reason why people aren't driving to the
- 55:42YouTube channel all the time because we're not a Knicks show.
- 55:45We're not a net show or a Yankee show or a Mets show or an
- 55:49Islanders or Rangers show or whatever.

- 56:37It's not even we believe. The fact here is there is nobody
- 56:42in this industry putting up the numbers that we're putting up on
- 56:46every single platform that is not signed by a network.
- 56:50Now we are under blue wire and that is a network, but I'm
- 56:54talking about one of the major big networks.
- 56:56So what we're doing is unique and different.
- 57:00We work our asses off to entertain you guys and perform
- 57:04the best. Possible product that we have.
- 57:07We put it out there 110% and even the interns on the back
