  how Jesus chose to pray and some of

  the steps that he did to stay strong

  as he faced

  life's daily challenges.

  We open up today's episode

  by discussing how building faith through daily prayer
• 0:54
  is an effective tool. And the scripture that
• 0:57
  we're coming from today is Mark one thirty
• 0:59
  five and reads as follows.

  Very early in the morning, while it was
• 1:04
  still dark,
• 1:05
  Jesus got up, left the house, and went
• 1:07
  off to a solitary place
• 1:10
  where he prayed.
• 1:12
  Now one of the most powerful things that
• 1:14
  we see in the life of Jesus, who
• 1:16
  is our master teacher,
• 1:18
  is that he intentionally
• 1:20
  chose time to pray.
• 1:22
  And if anyone had a reason to stay
• 1:24
  busy, it was him.
• 1:26
  People constantly needed healing, and crowds followed him
• 1:29
  everywhere he went.
• 1:31
  But he loved what he did, teaching, traveling,
• 1:34
  and ministering.
• 1:36
  These are the things that filled his days.
• 1:39
  Yet the scripture
• 1:40
  demonstrates and shows us something remarkable
• 1:44
  about how
• 1:45
  he balanced and managed his time.
• 1:49
  He made time before he did anything else
• 1:52
  for prayer,
• 1:54
  which helped him
• 1:55
  balance and face the demands that every day
• 1:59
  was presented to him.

  Now this choice wasn't accidental.

  It was intentional.
• 2:09
  Prayer was not squeezed into his schedule.

  It's what shaped his schedule.
• 2:16
  He often chose time to pray because he
• 2:19
  knew that this is what builds faith. It's
• 2:21
  what positions us to hear God before life
• 2:24
  begins to compete for our attention.

  When we start our day with God, we
• 2:30
  walk into our responsibilities
• 2:33
  already strengthened.

  It's like putting on complete armor.
• 2:38
  Faith grows when prayer becomes a priority
• 2:42
  rather than a last resort.

  In everyday life,

  this might look like waking up a few
• 2:50
  minutes earlier,
• 2:52
  pausing before opening emails,
• 2:54
  sitting quietly before the noise of the day
• 2:56
  begins, or if you're a night owl,

  waiting until the kiddos have been put to
• 3:02
  bed and having a nice warm glass of
• 3:05
  tea.

  These small moments of intentionality

  connects us and strengthens our trust in God

  and
• 3:14
  anchors our faith during those troubling times.

  Jesus understood
• 3:21
  this entire concept
• 3:23
  that without prayer,
• 3:25
  there is no strength,
• 3:27
  and he found it at the throne.

  Pray with me.

  Father,

  teach me to prioritize

  time with you.

  Help me resist the distractions that pull my

  attention away from your presence.

  Strengthen my faith as I begin each day

  in prayer.

  Let my time with you

  guide my steps and shape my decisions.
