- 0:00An individual walks into a train station without a particular
- 0:04destination in mind. He is confronted with dozens, if
- 0:09not hundreds of possible destinations.
- 0:12He is surrounded by the latent potential to take a particular
- 0:16direction. Each possible destination holds
- 0:20opportunities and further decision points for him which he
- 0:24cannot yet see or comprehend. Once he makes his choice and
- 0:30boards a particular train, all of the unknown possibilities
- 0:34that existed in those other directions collapse and he is
- 0:38now following a particular line of development come what may.
- 0:45Every day we are confronted by choices, opportunities, and
- 0:49decisions. Depending on those choices, our
- 0:53lives develop and we create before us the chain of cause and
- 0:58effect which leads us forward on the chosen path.
- 1:03In the field of quantum mechanics, there is a particular
- 1:06thought experiment that helps us frame our understanding of the
- 1:09latent versus the actual. A theoretical physicist
- 1:15Schrodinger proposed that there is a cat in a box.
- 1:19We cannot observe the status of the cat.
- 1:23There is also a vial that if broken, will release a deadly
- 1:27poison gas and kill the cat. Until such time as we actually
- 1:32open the box and observe the actual status of the cat, we
- 1:37have to treat the cat as being in two potential states at the
- 1:40same time, alive and dead. This represents the
- 1:46potentiality, whereas the observation upon opening of the
- 1:51box collapses one of these two options and we recognize the one
- 1:56that was turned into an actuality.
- 2:00Another experiment has light passing through 2 slits in a
- 2:03screen. As long as it is unobserved, the
- 2:07light passes through both of these slits, but once observed
- 2:11and measured, it creates a specific resulting pattern.
- 2:15The potential result of the unobserved phenomenon becomes an
- 2:19actual result through the process of observation.
- 2:25The relationship between the latent potentiality and the
- 2:28actual reality is represented in the soul and the psychic being
- 2:33as well. The soul, as a divine element
- 2:37within each being, contains the potentiality of the entire
- 2:41divine intention through its expression of the psychic being.
- 2:47Particular directions are chosen for each lifetime to carry out a
- 2:51specific line of that divine intention in a particular
- 2:55individual incarnation. The psychic being games the
- 3:00essence of the experience of the mind, life and body, and over
- 3:04time it works to increase its direct influence over these
- 3:08parts to ensure they are carrying out the divine will in
- 3:12an ever clearer and more direct manner.
- 3:16It does so generally unobtrusively and allows the
- 3:20external parts to grow and exercise their native powers and
- 3:24directions until they are ready on their own to accept the
- 3:29deeper aspiration and guidance that the psychic being embodies.
- 3:35Srioro Bindo writes quote The psychic has two aspects.
- 3:40There is the sole principle itself, which contains all soul
- 3:44possibilities, and there is the psychic personality, which
- 3:48represents whatever soul power is developed from life to life
- 3:53or put forward for action in our present life formation.
- 3:58The psychic being usually expresses itself through its
- 4:01instruments, mental, vital and physical.
- 4:05It tries to put as much of its stamp on them as possible, but
- 4:09it can seldom put on them the full psychic stamp unless it
- 4:14comes fully out from its rather secluded and overshadowed
- 4:17position, and takes into its hands the direct government of
- 4:21the nature. It can then receive and express
- 4:25all spiritual realization in its own way and manner.
- 4:30For the turn of the psychic is different from that of the
- 4:33overhead planes. It has less of greatness, power,
- 4:37wideness, more of a smaller sweetness, delicate beauty.
- 4:43There is an intense beauty of emotion, a fine subtlety of true
- 4:47perception and intimate language.
- 4:50The expression sweetness and light can very well be applied
- 4:55to the psychic as the kernel of its nature.
- 4:59The spiritual plane, when it takes up these things, gives
- 5:03them a wider utterance, a greater splendor of light, a
- 5:07stronger sweetness, a breath of powerful audacity, strength and
- 5:12space. End Quote.
