- 0:03Speaker 1: Wake up.
- 0:05Speaker 1: Up next to you.
- 0:06Speaker 1: Kicking off your day in the best way. It's Sonia
- 0:09Speaker 1: and Joakim on the shock circuit. Good morning. Happy Tuesday.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Welcome to the show. How's your week going so far?
- 0:16Speaker 1: Hope it went well. Day two of Leve tickets here
- 0:19Speaker 1: on the show. Oh yes, and potentially $7000 coming your way.
- 0:23Speaker 1: Lots of fantastic stuff just for you. Make sure you
- 0:26Speaker 1: stay tuned. Singapore's number one hit music station.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Whatever happened to Lil Nas's ex? Taking a holiday because
- 0:37Speaker 1: this man intended, you didn't get my joke, but OK.
- 0:40Speaker 1: He was all over the place. I think he was
- 0:43Speaker 1: doing loads of campaigns with coach. He had loads of
- 0:47Speaker 1: fashion things lined up for him and suddenly just disappeared
- 0:51Speaker 1: for a while. I'm just doing a quick search right now.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Um, OK, now I know why. He's, he's been involved with, um,
- 1:02Speaker 1: a legal case, I think. So, yeah, so I think
- 1:05Speaker 1: I'm just looking, there are some charges going on. I
- 1:07Speaker 1: think you better go take a read and take a look.
- 1:10Speaker 1: I actually didn't know that this was going on as well, um,
- 1:13Speaker 1: but it's all over the news in the US especially.
- 1:16Speaker 1: He's only 26, by the way, but
- 1:18Speaker 1: Unfortunately, I think he's gotten himself in a bit of
- 1:20Speaker 1: a legal situation that could explain why he's so quiet.
- 1:22Speaker 1: And forgive me for being a little bit ignorant or
- 1:24Speaker 1: assuming they look the same, but when I was watching
- 1:27Speaker 1: the F1 movie for the 1st 5 minutes, I thought
- 1:30Speaker 1: Damson Idris, who played Joshua Pierce, I thought he was
- 1:33Speaker 1: Lion's ex. They don't look anything alike. Exactly. Forgive me,
- 1:38Speaker 1: forgive me for thinking they look alike.
- 1:41Speaker 1: OK, some thoughts, some thoughts just let it come and go,
- 1:44Speaker 1: you know. When we come back, if your dream is
- 1:47Speaker 1: to be an astronaut, maybe this particular happening right now
- 1:52Speaker 1: for humankind can make your dreams come true in the future.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Nothing to do with our horoscopes or anything, right? No, no, no,
- 1:58Speaker 1: real life situations has everything to do with Mercury in retrograde. OK.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Sorry. Good.
- 2:10Speaker 1: A rising Jesus.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Not with Jesus, I mean, but with Artemis too. OK.
- 2:18Speaker 1: You know, the world is all sorts of crazy right now.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Very few reasons to smile. You don't say, yeah, but
- 2:25Speaker 1: I think this is something that might make all of
- 2:26Speaker 1: us go wow and maybe dream big if you're tuned
- 2:30Speaker 1: into this. So congratulations to astronauts Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover,
- 2:36Speaker 1: Christina Koch, and Jeremy Haven. They are on board the
- 2:40Speaker 1: Artemis 2 right now as we speak and the
- 2:43Speaker 1: Four of them have flown farther from Earth than anybody
- 2:49Speaker 1: else in the world. Yeah, so they, they've broken Apollo
- 2:53Speaker 1: 13's record, which was set close to almost 66 years
- 2:57Speaker 1: ago where they, they now for for Apollo 13, they've
- 3:02Speaker 1: flown 400,000 kilometers away from Earth, OK? For the Artemis 2.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And this is a rough estimate. They've flown 406,769 km
- 3:14Speaker 1: away from Earth. And how long is their journey? I
- 3:17Speaker 1: think they might be coming back very soon. Oh, so
- 3:18Speaker 1: it's a round trip. So they're not landing. Their mission,
- 3:21Speaker 1: inverted commas, is to travel around the moon. OK, so
- 3:25Speaker 1: they'll be seeing the dark side of the moon and
- 3:28Speaker 1: they will use the moon's gravity to come back to Earth.
- 3:32Speaker 1: Sounds like a.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Thomas show Dark Side of the Moon, Dark Side of
- 3:35Speaker 1: the Moon. Or if you watch Project Hail Mary, it's
- 3:38Speaker 1: almost akin to that movie to the point where NASA
- 3:41Speaker 1: actually used the phrase amaze, amaze, amaze from the movie.
- 3:45Speaker 1: I'm assuming you need to watch. I know, I know.
- 3:47Speaker 1: I just didn't have the time and I don't now
- 3:48Speaker 1: I don't know if I will have the time this weekend.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So this might help NASA to plan maybe say a
- 3:54Speaker 1: moon mission in time to come. That could be really cool.
- 3:57Speaker 1: I mean, look, if you think about it, right, when
- 3:59Speaker 1: you mentioned Apollo 13, you said it was 66 years ago,
- 4:03Speaker 1: 60+ years ago. Can you imagine that that was possible
- 4:08Speaker 1: all that, all those years ago? I mean, yeah, and
- 4:12Speaker 1: then now you fast forward to 2026, right? They should
- 4:15Speaker 1: be traveling way longer than that just with the development
- 4:18Speaker 1: of technology and all that. If there is a movie.
- 4:22Speaker 1: That I want you to watch as well. Watch the
- 4:24Speaker 1: movie Hidden Figures. Oh, I haven't watched that one. Yeah,
- 4:27Speaker 1: and I'm gonna actually just quote the movie Sypnosis. Three
- 4:31Speaker 1: female African-American mathematicians play a pivotal role in astronaut John
- 4:37Speaker 1: Glenn's launch into orbit. It's a true story, by the way?
- 4:41Speaker 1: This was released in 2017. OK, so a couple of
- 4:43Speaker 1: years back, lots of space-related films to watch then.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Coming up in less than 10 to, well, less than
- 4:51Speaker 1: 15 minutes, we want to open up the phone lines. Yeah.
- 4:54Speaker 1: How about your school a shout out? And when we
- 4:57Speaker 1: say school, it doesn't have to be primary or secondary.
- 5:00Speaker 1: If you're in ITE, poly, JC uni, why not call us,
- 5:04Speaker 1: even private uni as well, or if we're doing a
- 5:07Speaker 1: skills future course. Yeah, I think like.
- 5:09Speaker 1: as long as you're in some sort of a school
- 5:12Speaker 1: learning environment. Yeah, they're also learning environment like workplace also
- 5:17Speaker 1: considered learning environment. Who's gonna give us a shout out?
- 5:20Speaker 1: I mean come on, actually, sometimes listeners are quite sweet.
- 5:24Speaker 1: They do like give us shoutouts on, I don't know,
- 5:27Speaker 1: IGS or social media.
- 5:30Speaker 1: on this Tuesday. We shall see, yeah, but we want
- 5:32Speaker 1: to make your day. So our priority is you. Don't
- 5:35Speaker 1: worry about us. It's our job to keep you energized
- 5:37Speaker 1: and awake. Time to open up phone lines 669-11987, just
- 5:41Speaker 1: before you get to school or wherever it is that
- 5:43Speaker 1: you're headed to. Um, I'm not quite sure whether for
- 5:47Speaker 1: university that term is happening right now, right? They're they're
- 5:50Speaker 1: in school. I would, I am equally as clueless as you. Yes, yes, they're,
- 5:56Speaker 1: they're back in school already because, uh, just two weeks
- 5:58Speaker 1: ago I was helping.
- 6:00Speaker 1: I was helping some NTU students out with their final
- 6:03Speaker 1: year project. So that I think was like one of their,
- 6:07Speaker 1: not final year projects, sorry, their end of module or
- 6:09Speaker 1: something project.
- 6:11Speaker 1: If I'm not getting it, how many projects do you have?
- 6:18Speaker 1: It's a lot of module projects. I mean, I think
- 6:20Speaker 1: it's not officially called that, but every time you take
- 6:23Speaker 1: a module, there's gonna be some sort of a test.
- 6:25Speaker 1: But because it's, if it's a hands-on kind of module
- 6:27Speaker 1: like when I did, um, say TV production or radio
- 6:30Speaker 1: production or whatever, then it's a very
- 6:32Speaker 1: Um, it's, you got to do like a live production
- 6:34Speaker 1: for the, the grading, if you know what I mean.
- 6:37Speaker 1: It's like the university version of a weighted assessment. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 6:40Speaker 1: and it, it's in a group, so you got to
- 6:42Speaker 1: make sure your groupmates, you pick them wisely. Well, if
- 6:44Speaker 1: you're from primary or secondary school, maybe call us and
- 6:47Speaker 1: tell us all about national school games happening very soon.
- 6:50Speaker 1: My favorite time in secondary school. I have no memories
- 6:53Speaker 1: of that.
- 6:55Speaker 1: It's my favorite time because all the track and field athletes, right,
- 6:59Speaker 1: you get off from your, we get to leave early, yeah.
- 7:02Speaker 1: So the moment the watch hits 12 p.m., uh, Miss Tan,
- 7:04Speaker 1: I have to leave my competition. OK, go, go. All
- 7:07Speaker 1: the best. You feel satisfied when you say that, right?
- 7:12Speaker 1: Good morning guys. My name is Kosuke. Hello. Good morning.
- 7:16Speaker 1: What school are you from? Uh, I'm from the School
- 7:18Speaker 1: of Science and Technology. Uh, I'm on, I'm on the
- 7:20Speaker 1: way to school now. OK, so what's happening in school
- 7:23Speaker 1: for you currently? Like any exams or is it a
- 7:25Speaker 1: fun period? Any competitions happening for you as well? Uh,
- 7:28Speaker 1: a lot of projects. What, what's your favorite subject, bro?
- 7:31Speaker 1: Art Arts. OK, but you're in school of Science and Technology,
- 7:34Speaker 1: but your favorite subject is arts. There we go. I
- 7:36Speaker 1: feel you. OK, what song can we get you today
- 7:38Speaker 1: and who is it going out to?
- 7:40Speaker 1: Uh, anything will be fine. And who's it going out to? Uh,
- 7:43Speaker 1: my friend Joshua. Alright, Joshua, that's coming up for you
- 7:48Speaker 1: right here on 987. Have a great day, OK? Take care.
- 7:51Speaker 1: Bye bye. As we heard, $7000 still up for grabs.
- 7:55Speaker 1: We were kind of thinking, would someone win yesterday because
- 7:58Speaker 1: the stakes are running quite high. No, no, I think
- 8:01Speaker 1: we are into big money territory now.
- 8:03Speaker 1: And again, it's my personal selfish wish that it gets
- 8:07Speaker 1: to $10,000. I mean, I hope so too, but you
- 8:10Speaker 1: do realize that the big draw happens this weekend, right?
- 8:14Speaker 1: So that means if nobody wins the 70 by then,
- 8:19Speaker 1: they might score something in a big grand draw, but
- 8:22Speaker 1: then we resume as per normal next week with $8000.
- 8:25Speaker 1: That's the plan. Yeah, that's the plan.
- 8:26Speaker 1: The money, the better it is for you empty your pockets.
- 8:30Speaker 1: So money is not coming from us. Don't worry. The
- 8:33Speaker 1: negativity needs to stop. It's not negative. It's it's coming
- 8:37Speaker 1: from someone's pocket, not ours, not ours. OK, so if
- 8:40Speaker 1: you're hopping on a flight anytime soon, there's something new
- 8:43Speaker 1: to take note of. Um, I just wanted to ask
- 8:45Speaker 1: you this because even though I peg you as a
- 8:48Speaker 1: person that's always pretty prepared.
- 8:50Speaker 1: When it comes to like traveling and all that, right?
- 8:52Speaker 1: I've never seen you use a power bank before or
- 8:55Speaker 1: like bring your own power bank when you're out, when
- 8:57Speaker 1: you're out. In Singapore, I don't bring a power bank
- 9:00Speaker 1: because you can charge it at the office and like anywhere, right?
- 9:02Speaker 1: So I bring a charger. But when I travel, you
- 9:05Speaker 1: do bring a power bank. So I don't bring a
- 9:07Speaker 1: power bank in Singapore as well because I can charge
- 9:09Speaker 1: it in my car or charge it in the office,
- 9:11Speaker 1: but yes, when I travel, I'll keep at least one
- 9:12Speaker 1: with me.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Um, from the 15th of April onwards, please take note,
- 9:19Speaker 1: if you're traveling, you're only allowed two power banks when
- 9:24Speaker 1: you're leaving Singapore. If you have anything more than 2
- 9:28Speaker 1: power banks on you, and it shouldn't be in your
- 9:30Speaker 1: check-in luggage, obviously, that's not allowed. If you're carrying power banks,
- 9:33Speaker 1: it should be on your carry-on, right? So you can't, yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 1: make sure that you don't have more than 2 power banks.
- 9:40Speaker 1: If you're carrying 3 or more power banks as a
- 9:44Speaker 1: solo traveler, you're working on the plane or what? What's
- 9:47Speaker 1: happening here? If you're expecting a very, very, very long
- 9:55Speaker 1: journey when you land.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Perhaps that's why people might carry a lot. Yeah, I think.
- 10:06Speaker 1: They trusted brands. So I don't really know anyone with
- 10:09Speaker 1: more than 2 power banks. However, in the past, when
- 10:13Speaker 1: I used to travel for like travel programs, right, I
- 10:15Speaker 1: know the producer will always have power banks on standby,
- 10:18Speaker 1: but perhaps because there's so many of us, each person
- 10:20Speaker 1: can carry one or you know, and then.
- 10:22Speaker 1: We will be, will be fine, right? It'll be more
- 10:24Speaker 1: than enough. But just make sure that you take note,
- 10:26Speaker 1: if you're departing Singapore from 15th of April onwards, you're
- 10:29Speaker 1: only allowed up to two power banks in your hand luggage.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Anything more than that, you might be asked to discard it,
- 10:34Speaker 1: and there's also a restriction, um, that applies to the
- 10:38Speaker 1: battery packs. I think in terms of the wattage and
- 10:41Speaker 1: stuff like that, if you have anything more than a
- 10:42Speaker 1: certain wattage, you've got to get approval from the authorities,
- 10:46Speaker 1: but please take note because you don't want.
- 10:48Speaker 1: a situation where you forgot to check and then you
- 10:50Speaker 1: end up throwing away a perfectly good power bag, you know.
- 10:52Speaker 1: So that rule applies to individuals, right? So for example,
- 10:55Speaker 1: if I'm a family of 4 and I have a
- 10:57Speaker 1: total of 4 bags that I'm caring for each person,
- 11:01Speaker 1: each person carry, each person that's fine in your, in
- 11:04Speaker 1: your carry-on luggage. But anyway, if you want to check
- 11:06Speaker 1: it out, please, you know, um, just log on to
- 11:09Speaker 1: your respective like airlines websites or you know, when you
- 11:12Speaker 1: check in, sometimes they got that.
- 11:14Speaker 1: warning that uh that that warning about like what to bring,
- 11:17Speaker 1: what not to bring, they might have revised it. So
- 11:19Speaker 1: please check it before you travel. As you know, there
- 11:22Speaker 1: was that family that got stopped because the, the son
- 11:26Speaker 1: was carrying a toy gun, remember? Yeah, so it's situations
- 11:30Speaker 1: like that that you don't want to like disrupt your travels, right?
- 11:33Speaker 1: And don't forget you.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Yes, on board as well. On board the flight. Actually,
- 11:39Speaker 1: if you're on the flight, you can charge your phone, right?
- 11:42Speaker 1: You don't need to charge the charge your power bank,
- 11:44Speaker 1: leave it in the bag and use it only after
- 11:46Speaker 1: you land. Exactly. So make sure you do that, but
- 11:48Speaker 1: happy travels if you're heading anywhere anytime soon. Good morning.
- 11:52Speaker 1: When we come back, aside from $7000 in terms of
- 11:56Speaker 1: couples launching, Sonia.
- 11:58Speaker 1: This is the hard launch of all hard launches I've seen. Finally, finally, joking,
- 12:03Speaker 1: thank you. You've got a girlfriend. No, not me, not me. But,
- 12:07Speaker 1: but honestly, this guy, he has officially spoiled the hard
- 12:11Speaker 1: launch market. Oh, OK. Well, it must be someone famous then.
- 12:14Speaker 1: It is the next season, and I'm very sure it's
- 12:17Speaker 1: coming soon, maybe end of this year or early next year.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Because it was hinted that Lady Gaga is going to
- 12:23Speaker 1: play a much bigger role in the next series, and
- 12:26Speaker 1: if you follow Lady Gaga's journey, you would know that, yes,
- 12:29Speaker 1: she's a very talented performer, musician, producer, songwriter, but she's
- 12:33Speaker 1: also a great actress. If you followed some of her movies. Yo,
- 12:36Speaker 1: Lady Gaga is the 11 of the rare few people
- 12:38Speaker 1: that have actually won the Trinity is it, uh, was
- 12:42Speaker 1: it the Grammy, Grammy, Academy, and one more, Golden Globe. Oh, right, right, right.
- 12:47Speaker 1: Did she win all three already?
- 12:48Speaker 1: Hopefully I'm correct. Or was she nominated? OK, she won.
- 12:51Speaker 1: She won. OK, we will check. We'll clarify that later,
- 12:53Speaker 1: but yeah, big, big things ahead. We go from one
- 12:55Speaker 1: high profile Hollywood celebrity to another. I mean, have you
- 13:00Speaker 1: seen Lewis Hamilton's latest video? Yes, yes. OK. Very stylishly shot. Yes, yes, yes.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Whoever was his videographer, please pass me his contact on
- 13:10Speaker 1: to hire. The cost of the videographer is our entire
- 13:14Speaker 1: artist fee.
- 13:16Speaker 1: I was gonna say it was him in the old
- 13:19Speaker 1: school Ferrari doing some donuts and all that because he
- 13:22Speaker 1: was in Tokyo and you know, uh, Japan and Tokyo
- 13:26Speaker 1: specifically has a huge culture for like street street racing,
- 13:30Speaker 1: driving and stunts and all that. Like that's probably why
- 13:33Speaker 1: Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift was filmed. I mean, just
- 13:35Speaker 1: look at initial as well, but I'm gonna say this,
- 13:39Speaker 1: this launch video has officially dominated the market.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Spot the market as well because who appears at the
- 13:47Speaker 1: end of the video? I mean, who else, in 4K
- 13:50Speaker 1: HD herself, Kim Kardashian. And you know what the funny
- 13:53Speaker 1: thing is, ever since they announced, or rather they didn't
- 13:56Speaker 1: quite announce it, but other media outlets started releasing information
- 14:00Speaker 1: about this, right? Um, he's been quite open with his
- 14:03Speaker 1: affection actually, like in terms of just commenting, you know,
- 14:06Speaker 1: like he will comment hard eyes on her picture, which
- 14:09Speaker 1: is such an obvious hot launch already, right?
- 14:12Speaker 1: I was gonna say, if you're looking forward to see
- 14:14Speaker 1: Hamilton on the grid anytime soon, just note that the
- 14:16Speaker 1: Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, it has been postponed.
- 14:21Speaker 1: The next time you'll see the Formula One action, Miami
- 14:24Speaker 1: in the month of May. Yes, and then.
- 14:26Speaker 1: I believe Monaco is up next after that, right? It's
- 14:29Speaker 1: Miami and Monaco, right? Singapore, don't have. You know what, this,
- 14:35Speaker 1: I know you didn't watch Wednesday, like the series on Netflix, um,
- 14:39Speaker 1: but I'm so excited for the next season and I'm
- 14:42Speaker 1: very sure it's coming soon, maybe end of this year
- 14:45Speaker 1: or early next year.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Because it was hinted that Lady Gaga is going to
- 14:49Speaker 1: play a much bigger role in the next series, and
- 14:52Speaker 1: if you follow Lady Gaga's journey, you would know that, yes,
- 14:55Speaker 1: she's a very talented performer, musician, producer, songwriter, but she's
- 14:58Speaker 1: also a great actress. If you followed some of her movies. Yo,
- 15:02Speaker 1: Lady Gaga is the 11 of the rare few people
- 15:04Speaker 1: that have actually won the Trinity, is it, uh, was
- 15:08Speaker 1: it the Grammy, Grammy, Academy, and one more, Golden Globe. Oh, right, right, right.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Did she win all three already?
- 15:14Speaker 1: Hopefully I'm correct. Or was she nominated? OK, she won.

- 15:33Speaker 1: Whoever was his videographer, please pass me his contact on
- 15:35Speaker 1: to hire. The cost of the videographer is our entire
- 15:40Speaker 1: artist fee.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I was gonna say it was him in the old
- 15:45Speaker 1: school Ferrari doing some donuts and all that because he
- 15:48Speaker 1: was in Tokyo and you know, uh, Japan and Tokyo
- 15:51Speaker 1: specifically has a huge culture for like street street racing,
- 15:56Speaker 1: driving and stunts and all that. Like that's probably why

- 16:38Speaker 1: I was gonna say, if you're looking forward to see
- 16:40Speaker 1: Hamilton on the grid anytime soon, just note that the
- 16:42Speaker 1: Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, it has been postponed.
- 16:46Speaker 1: The next time you'll see the Formula One action, Miami
- 16:49Speaker 1: in the month of May. Yes, and then.
- 16:52Speaker 1: I believe Monaco is up next after that, right? It's
- 16:55Speaker 1: Miami and Monaco, right? And for Singapore, don't forget we
- 16:58Speaker 1: have our very first sprint race for this season of F1.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Danielle Harl and Dua Lipa to Hearts right here on 987.
- 17:07Speaker 1: And yes, she is the newly appointed ambassador of Nespresso,
- 17:11Speaker 1: something that I drink almost every single day. In fact,
- 17:14Speaker 1: I think um I should just be on a subscription
- 17:16Speaker 1: for the capsules at this point because I just go
- 17:18Speaker 1: through them. As a non-coffee drinker. Can you compare Nespresso
- 17:24Speaker 1: to like other types of coffee or capsule machines? Um, OK,
- 17:27Speaker 1: so to be fair, I've only ever tried one capsule
- 17:31Speaker 1: machine before. It's actually, if I'm not wrong, it's a
- 17:34Speaker 1: local brand, OK.
- 17:36Speaker 1: And they created their own, their own capsule machine at
- 17:40Speaker 1: the same time. They've got a store over in New Bahru,
- 17:43Speaker 1: I think it's called Mornings or something. Maybe you can
- 17:46Speaker 1: search it out. I don't know if I'm getting it right. Um,
- 17:49Speaker 1: I can't really speak for them because the technology is
- 17:52Speaker 1: a little bit different. I've always been an Nespresso user.
- 17:55Speaker 1: And why I like Nespresso is because now with their
- 17:57Speaker 1: new virtual machines, right, which I know that this is
- 18:01Speaker 1: all lost on you right now, Jokim, they came up
- 18:03Speaker 1: with like a centrifugal technology where it spins the capsule. Oh,
- 18:06Speaker 1: I know what a centrifugal technology is. So thank you
- 18:09Speaker 1: to Project Hail Mary. So yeah, but this one in
- 18:12Speaker 1: coffee machine, different, still spinning. There you go. So the
- 18:16Speaker 1: coffee that dispenses has a thick layer of beautiful like foam,
- 18:21Speaker 1: you know, the coffee foam on the top. So it's, it's.
- 18:23Speaker 1: It's just, it tastes like barista-made coffee and you can
- 18:27Speaker 1: do it at home. Can our hawker uncles and aunties
- 18:30Speaker 1: replicate this taste a little bit different. That one, they
- 18:32Speaker 1: don't use espresso beans. Yeah, they're using a different type
- 18:36Speaker 1: of like coffee grounds or coffee powder. On that note
- 18:39Speaker 1: about Bahru, there's PPP coffee. I love PPP. There's Dearborn granola. Yeah,
- 18:48Speaker 1: is the one that they have their own coffee machine.
- 18:49Speaker 1: Why do you sound like you've been to every single
- 18:51Speaker 1: spot in New Bahru.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Your new Bahru is by Junction to the point, to
- 18:57Speaker 1: the point where I can safely tell you which one
- 19:00Speaker 1: is worth going for food. OK, I'll tell you off air. OK,
- 19:04Speaker 1: I'll tell you off air which one is worth it,
- 19:05Speaker 1: which one is not. This is a video series. Explore
- 19:09Speaker 1: Bahru with Sonia. By the way, um, this is not
- 19:12Speaker 1: a paid piece of content or anything, but I apparently
- 19:14Speaker 1: they're opening up a lot of new shops over in
- 19:17Speaker 1: New Bahru. Like there are a lot of new tenants
- 19:18Speaker 1: popping up.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Sushi Road, right? Yes, Sushiro is popping up as well.
- 19:22Speaker 1: What an interesting location, but I can't wait to see
- 19:24Speaker 1: what kind of concept they're coming up with with Bahru,
- 19:27Speaker 1: you have to have a strong concept.
- 19:31Speaker 1: 87.
- 19:36Speaker 1: that
- 19:38Speaker 1: Hi, good morning. It's Geraldine here. Hello, Geraldine, what are
- 19:42Speaker 1: you up to today? Hi, I'm on my way to work. Alright, Geraldine,
- 19:46Speaker 1: how are you feeling? $7000 today, Can you win it? Yes, excited.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I've been calling many times. Oh, you have been? And
- 19:53Speaker 1: have you managed to eliminate all the wrong answers and
- 19:56Speaker 1: can you confidently say that you have a fresh guest? Yeah,
- 19:58Speaker 1: I guess I.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Eliminated about 80%. 80%. OK, that's that's pretty good odds.
- 20:04Speaker 1: Any idea what you want to do with 70 if
- 20:06Speaker 1: you win? I'll probably travel, yeah, traveling is my, yeah,
- 20:10Speaker 1: my hobby. Standard traveling is a hobby, you know, so
- 20:13Speaker 1: 7K can go a long way. Yeah, I would love that.
- 20:15Speaker 1: I can name many places where 7 will be enough. Exactly.
- 20:18Speaker 1: Listen very carefully.
- 20:21Speaker 1: Geraldine, for $7000 what is 987's secret sound? Is it
- 20:28Speaker 1: a mechanical stopwatch? Mechanical stopwatch is your final answer. Let's
- 20:33Speaker 1: find out.
- 20:35Speaker 1: You are incorrect.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Chance to play 987's Secret sound continues.
- 20:43Speaker 1: That.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Geraldine, not the answer we're looking for, and I vaguely
- 20:48Speaker 1: remember on some other show, somebody actually said mechanical stopwatch
- 20:52Speaker 1: as well. Yeah, we're so sorry, Geraldine. It's OK, but
- 20:56Speaker 1: we love your energy. Please keep trying and your name
- 20:59Speaker 1: is officially in the big grand draw, OK? OK, thank you.
- 21:02Speaker 1: See you this weekend for the draw. Bye bye.
- 21:07Speaker 1: One guess win big.
- 21:13Speaker 1: OK, so about to open up the phone lines, like
- 21:15Speaker 1: we said, good news. Every single day this week, we
- 21:19Speaker 1: have a pair of tickets for you to catch Le
- 21:20Speaker 1: Be in concert at her sold-out show.
- 21:27Speaker 1: So please don't miss out. It's happening 8 to 9 a.m.
- 21:30Speaker 1: every morning this week. Finally, a venue fitting for Love
- 21:33Speaker 1: here in Singapore, vocals, right? Because the last time she
- 21:36Speaker 1: was here was at Arena Expo, which was a great
- 21:37Speaker 1: venue as well. The first time, I think it was
- 21:40Speaker 1: Pasir Panjang Power Station. Yeah, it was a very, she's
- 21:43Speaker 1: always gone for a slightly more unconventional location. Yeah, yeah.
- 21:46Speaker 1: So I was lobbying for either Star Theater or the
- 21:49Speaker 1: Indoor Stadium, and she finally got the indoor stadium for
- 21:51Speaker 1: one night here in Singapore. Cannot wait.
- 21:53Speaker 1: But for this whole week, we're gonna use Lowe's songs
- 21:57Speaker 1: as the inspiration for maybe say something that happened to
- 22:01Speaker 1: us in real life. Yeah, and honestly, if you think
- 22:03Speaker 1: about it right out there.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Are inspired by real life related situations. Yes, love, breakups, anger, sadness.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I got one for you today from the A Matter
- 22:16Speaker 1: of Time album Track 11, a cautionary tale. Oh, OK,
- 22:21Speaker 1: so many things come to mind already. I mean, if
- 22:24Speaker 1: I look back at my dating like history, right.
- 22:28Speaker 1: Maybe two occasions did my friends say, hm, not sure
- 22:33Speaker 1: about this guy. Yeah, um, two separate exes that I've
- 22:37Speaker 1: dated before. I'm gonna throw a spanner in the works here, OK.
- 22:40Speaker 1: I'm very used to being the guy that people warn
- 22:45Speaker 1: others about. Yes, why? For my dating history over the
- 22:49Speaker 1: last 67 years.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Look, OK, look, OK, OK, I'm listening. As a single Singaporean,
- 22:56Speaker 1: I feel like I'm allowed to go out with whoever
- 22:58Speaker 1: I want, yeah, uh, date around and see if anything
- 23:02Speaker 1: were to develop. If it doesn't happen or it doesn't
- 23:06Speaker 1: become official.
- 23:08Speaker 1: No need to say that, yeah, I mean, it's two
- 23:10Speaker 1: people making a decision because we are adults, right? Yeah,
- 23:14Speaker 1: but the phrase that, oh, be careful, he gets around,
- 23:16Speaker 1: he's a player. What am I supposed to do? Stay
- 23:18Speaker 1: home and sleep, which I don't mind doing he does actually.
- 23:23Speaker 1: Frankly, I, I honestly, if you want to test me
- 23:26Speaker 1: like where is Joakim at this timing on this day,
- 23:28Speaker 1: I can tell you. No, but I think the issue
- 23:32Speaker 1: is that because we are in an industry or a
- 23:35Speaker 1: position in the media that sometimes quite scrutinized in terms
- 23:40Speaker 1: of whatever we do, even something as minor as like,
- 23:42Speaker 1: you know, after I announced my engagement at the end of.
- 23:45Speaker 1: 2024, right? And you know, it usually, yeah, you get
- 23:48Speaker 1: married after a year or so. We don't always post
- 23:51Speaker 1: pictures and content of each other. I mean, Germs is
- 23:53Speaker 1: not really like a social media person, so we don't
- 23:56Speaker 1: really post that much. No, and on behalf of everyone,
- 23:58Speaker 1: thank you. Thank you for not making it your personality.
- 24:02Speaker 1: Thank you. Sorry, my personality is too big and chaotic
- 24:05Speaker 1: for another personality to come in.
- 24:07Speaker 1: But the point is, at, at one point after we
- 24:11Speaker 1: got engaged, maybe a few months later, right, because I
- 24:13Speaker 1: posted up the engagement photo, then like, OK, done. And
- 24:15Speaker 1: then we just once in a while we update. Some
- 24:18Speaker 1: people actually started saying that we broke up, you know,
- 24:20Speaker 1: because I didn't post anything much after the engagement. They're like,
- 24:25Speaker 1: are they still together? And on Google search, right, it was,
- 24:28Speaker 1: did Sonia and Jeremy end their engagement? Literally people searched that,
- 24:32Speaker 1: by the way. So I was like, OK, maybe I
- 24:34Speaker 1: should just put one photo up once in a while.
- 24:37Speaker 1: I just didn't think that people talk about this stuff,
- 24:40Speaker 1: you know what I mean? So it doesn't surprise me
- 24:43Speaker 1: that if someone sees you out there with like a
- 24:45Speaker 1: girl or dating girl and then another girl maybe in
- 24:48Speaker 1: a couple of months, they might jump to those conclusions. No,
- 24:51Speaker 1: but there were ruined by their friends said to me.
- 24:58Speaker 1: That's the question, right? Are you easily affected by what
- 25:01Speaker 1: your friends say? Because you know me, I'm a bit
- 25:03Speaker 1: of a rebel, right? If my friends tell me don't do,
- 25:06Speaker 1: I will still do. You want to see for yourself. Yeah,
- 25:07Speaker 1: I will see for myself. Yeah. So based on's song
- 25:09Speaker 1: title A Cautionary Tale 669-11987, or you can WhatsApp us
- 25:15Speaker 1: at 90050987. Were you ever warned about someone?
- 25:20Speaker 1: And were your friends right or wrong? Yeah, I was
- 25:22Speaker 1: gonna say that. Did it turn out to be true
- 25:25Speaker 1: or on point? Give us a call 669-11987 or drop
- 25:29Speaker 1: us a WhatsApp message 90050987. Remember, a pair of sold-out
- 25:34Speaker 1: tickets to Leve's concerts could be yours. OK. Now, um, entire,
- 25:39Speaker 1: the whole of this week rather, we are giving you
- 25:42Speaker 1: conversations inspired by Leve songs because every single day you
- 25:46Speaker 1: stand a chance to win a pair of now sold.
- 25:49Speaker 1: tickets to her concert. Today's one. The song title is
- 25:52Speaker 1: a cautionary tale from the A Matter of Time album.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Here in Singapore, we say warning. Oh, I told you already.
- 25:59Speaker 1: That's what Singaporeans always say. I told you so, right? Yeah.
- 26:02Speaker 1: One message coming in from Kim. I warned my ex-colleagues
- 26:06Speaker 1: so much about her love scam lovers that I was
- 26:09Speaker 1: getting worried that she was going to un-colleague me at
- 26:13Speaker 1: that time. They come in sequences nonstop and they are
- 26:16Speaker 1: all so.
- 26:17Speaker 1: Very sweet. Be careful, everyone. I wonder what was the
- 26:20Speaker 1: resolution for that. Like her colleague, was able to snap
- 26:24Speaker 1: out of it. Yeah, I mean, that can be quite scary,
- 26:27Speaker 1: especially when conversations with scambots are getting so sophisticated now.
- 26:33Speaker 1: So yeah. I wanna say good morning to Bernice on WhatsApp.
- 26:36Speaker 1: Bernice says, Hey, Sonia and Joki, I was warned about
- 26:39Speaker 1: this guy I was dating. They said all sorts of
- 26:42Speaker 1: unsavory things about him. He's now my husband.
- 26:47Speaker 1: You see, this is, this is a good example, right?
- 26:51Speaker 1: Because like what you mentioned earlier, you said you're kind
- 26:53Speaker 1: of concerned because some people say certain things about you
- 26:56Speaker 1: just because you're single and dating around. There's nothing wrong
- 26:58Speaker 1: with dating around. You don't, you're gonna find a person,
- 27:01Speaker 1: a girl one day who doesn't care about the noise,
- 27:04Speaker 1: I promise you. Can she show up soon?
- 27:08Speaker 1: We're back to Leve's concert tickets right now. I'm very
- 27:11Speaker 1: excited for you to join her on her tour, and
- 27:14Speaker 1: these are sold out tickets. So every day this week,
- 27:16Speaker 1: our conversations are inspired by her songs. Today, it's cautionary tale.
- 27:20Speaker 1: It's a spicy one today. Were you warned about the
- 27:24Speaker 1: current partner you have by your friends, and were they
- 27:27Speaker 1: right or wrong? Or were, were you the subject of
- 27:32Speaker 1: Yeah, of speculation previously where people actually warn others about you.
- 27:36Speaker 1: I could write a book about being warned about. Any
- 27:40Speaker 1: messages coming through. We got one coming in from Corinne saying, hey,
- 27:43Speaker 1: Sonia and Joakim, this one, unfortunately, my friends were right.
- 27:47Speaker 1: I was dating someone for 2 years and my friends
- 27:49Speaker 1: kept saying something felt a little bit off. Turns out
- 27:52Speaker 1: he was cheating on me.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that's never pleasant and I hope you've recovered from that. Yeah,
- 27:59Speaker 1: I know. We've also got Royston hanging on the line.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Thank you so much for your patience. What happened? OK,
- 28:08Speaker 1: because I have actually been on both sides of the
- 28:10Speaker 1: coins before when I was in Bali, uh, I was
- 28:13Speaker 1: dating someone. When we started dating, my friends were telling me, hey, bro,
- 28:18Speaker 1: this one better be careful. And then so.
- 28:23Speaker 1: So we dated and then we broke up. Faith got
- 28:25Speaker 1: us back together again and we broke up again, dated
- 28:29Speaker 1: and broke up all the way until I was 22,
- 28:31Speaker 1: I guess my friends were right. Wait, what did they
- 28:37Speaker 1: what did they get when they met to be careful. We,
- 28:41Speaker 1: we actually knew each other before we started dating me
- 28:44Speaker 1: and my friends.
- 28:45Speaker 1: Uh, they actually knew her, how she was before she
- 28:49Speaker 1: was dating me, so I was like, OK, so I
- 28:53Speaker 1: was to give it a try. See, I, I like
- 28:56Speaker 1: his style because I'm exactly like that. I will still
- 28:58Speaker 1: go find out for myself. Hang on, here comes the
- 29:01Speaker 1: juicy part. Yes, yes, Royston, you said you're on the
- 29:04Speaker 1: other side of the coin as well, right? So why
- 29:05Speaker 1: are people warning their friends about you?
- 29:08Speaker 1: Honestly, I have no idea. I have always been, you know,
- 29:13Speaker 1: when I was younger, I, I enjoyed partying and drinking, right,
- 29:17Speaker 1: but I do always make sure that I, I treat
- 29:20Speaker 1: people properly. However, you know, when, when you, when you
- 29:23Speaker 1: start treating people, uh, nicer, so they think that you
- 29:26Speaker 1: are flirty. I see, yeah, it's just Royston with his
- 29:33Speaker 1: natural charm, you know, he can't help it.
- 29:37Speaker 1: On the topic of cautionary tales, now, inspired by Lebei's
- 29:41Speaker 1: song titles and lyrics, we're giving away her tickets, but
- 29:44Speaker 1: at the same time, it also shows us that hey,
- 29:46Speaker 1: a lot of these songs, they are probably inspired by
- 29:49Speaker 1: real-life situations. Hm, come, let me share a personal story.
- 29:53Speaker 1: This was me giving my friend a cautionary tale. This
- 29:57Speaker 1: happened almost a decade plus ago already. Do I know
- 30:00Speaker 1: this friend?
- 30:01Speaker 1: Actually, you know, you know the story. I know the story. Yeah,
- 30:04Speaker 1: so I will redact the names. OK, go ahead. OK, um,
- 30:10Speaker 1: this friend was going out with this person who has
- 30:13Speaker 1: a bit of a very good looking profile, right, the resume,
- 30:18Speaker 1: the qualifications and all that, all top-notch, very good, and
- 30:22Speaker 1: in less than 3 or
- 30:24Speaker 1: 4 months, my friend was saying, oh this guy is
- 30:26Speaker 1: the love of my life and I went, Are you sure?
- 30:29Speaker 1: Like it's only been 3 or 4 months and you
- 30:30Speaker 1: only met him on the app recently. I mean, be,
- 30:33Speaker 1: be very careful, you know what I mean? I think
- 30:36Speaker 1: I know who this is. Turns out the man was
- 30:39Speaker 1: a chauvinist, egoistic fella. Uh, apparently my friend had a
- 30:45Speaker 1: very small dog, right? And
- 30:47Speaker 1: The dog to move out of the way. He won't
- 30:49Speaker 1: say move. He'll kick the dog out of the way. No,
- 30:51Speaker 1: that is a that is a giant red flag. What
- 30:54Speaker 1: the heck? Took her long enough to realize it. Finally
- 30:57Speaker 1: broke up. She called me saying, I'm sorry, Joe. You
- 30:59Speaker 1: are right. Yeah, but you see, the thing is, I,
- 31:02Speaker 1: I do acknowledge as well, while friends and family members
- 31:06Speaker 1: sometimes they mean well by saying like this person is
- 31:09Speaker 1: off or like I don't think you should.
- 31:11Speaker 1: But it's very hard for the person in the relationship
- 31:14Speaker 1: to see that right now. And if I'm the person
- 31:16Speaker 1: telling someone or warning someone about the person they're dating,
- 31:20Speaker 1: I don't need the I told you so kind of thing,
- 31:21Speaker 1: you know what I mean? Mind you, I did not
- 31:23Speaker 1: say anything bad about the guy she was dating. I
- 31:25Speaker 1: just said, Are you sure? No, only 3 to 4
- 31:29Speaker 1: months of my life already.
- 31:29Speaker 1: A bit too soon. Why don't you just do your
- 31:31Speaker 1: research proper first? Then she was like, No, you cannot
- 31:34Speaker 1: say something. You must be more supportive as a friend, OK?
- 31:36Speaker 1: You see, you see, you say do research first, right? Yes,
- 31:39Speaker 1: I don't do research about people ever I mean research
- 31:43Speaker 1: as in like be the person first, see the red
- 31:45Speaker 1: flags potentially. So that's what she was doing, right?
- 31:49Speaker 1: She was dating this person, so you can't expect her
- 31:51Speaker 1: to break up with him there and then, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 31:57Speaker 1: I think we've all been through that for sure. When
- 31:59Speaker 1: we come back, more of your stories as well. We
- 32:01Speaker 1: still got time. If you would like to call us 669-11987.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Have you ever warned someone, maybe your close friends about
- 32:08Speaker 1: a person they're dating or could it be the other
- 32:11Speaker 1: way around? Let us know. Those concert tickets to Leve's
- 32:14Speaker 1: sold-out show could be yours. OK, so here's the deal.
- 32:17Speaker 1: We want to give away concert tickets to the sold-out
- 32:20Speaker 1: show Leve here in Singapore.
- 32:22Speaker 1: And every single day this week, we're inspired by song
- 32:25Speaker 1: titles and the content of her songs. So today it's
- 32:28Speaker 1: about a cautionary tale. Have you ever been warned about
- 32:32Speaker 1: a person or have other people warned others about you?
- 32:34Speaker 1: Oh wow. For the latter, I know a thing or
- 32:37Speaker 1: two about that. OK, any other messages you want to
- 32:39Speaker 1: read out first? I want to say good morning to Frazier. Hey, Sojo,
- 32:43Speaker 1: my family didn't like my wife because of the way
- 32:47Speaker 1: I knew her. We met on Tinder.
- 32:49Speaker 1: So with a brother that's 12 years older than myself,
- 32:53Speaker 1: he doesn't believe in all these online dating thingies. He
- 32:56Speaker 1: and my sister-in-law actually felt like my then-girlfriend was a
- 32:58Speaker 1: gold digger. David went to the extent of letting my parents,
- 33:01Speaker 1: who have a very traditional mindset kind, know that she's
- 33:04Speaker 1: kind of like a gold digger. Long story short, we
- 33:07Speaker 1: got married after 7 years, and this is our 10th
- 33:10Speaker 1: year dating and married, dating 7 years.
- 33:12Speaker 1: For 3 years together as a couple. My parents are
- 33:15Speaker 1: super OK with my wife now because after many years,
- 33:18Speaker 1: she started to know her by themselves. That's when they
- 33:21Speaker 1: realized she's not what my brother said. Sometimes, you know,
- 33:25Speaker 1: people jump to conclusions, right? Like, have you ever felt
- 33:27Speaker 1: defensive about someone you were dating before? So your friends,
- 33:30Speaker 1: but did your friends turn out to be right, or was,
- 33:34Speaker 1: was your gut feeling right?
- 33:36Speaker 1: I hate, I hate to say this. They were right. 90%
- 33:39Speaker 1: of the time, my friends and my mom, they were
- 33:41Speaker 1: right about the girl I was with. I think it's
- 33:44Speaker 1: because they can see things from like a third party perspective,
- 33:46Speaker 1: you know, when, when you're too deep in it, you
- 33:48Speaker 1: cannot see anything coming from somebody who can open a
- 33:51Speaker 1: gentle monster collection and call it rose-tinted glasses. OK, that's you. Yours,
- 33:56Speaker 1: yours isn't rose-tinted like yours is blackout shades.
- 34:00Speaker 1: Can't see anything. I've learned my lesson. Wrong wrong. Why?
- 34:06Speaker 1: Eric is on the line right now. What about you?
- 34:09Speaker 1: Do you have an incident to share?
- 34:11Speaker 2: I actually work in a secondary school and then there
- 34:14Speaker 2: was this student who was referred to me because uh
- 34:17Speaker 2: of certain disciplinary issues.
- 34:19Speaker 2: And ah his form teachers actually warned me oh this
- 34:22Speaker 2: boy is really devilish and unrepentant, total, total devil in class,
- 34:28Speaker 2: and they are really they they have given up hope
- 34:31Speaker 2: on him. Um I I I I saw something different
- 34:33Speaker 2: in him, uh, there was something different about him and um.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Yes, he, he, he did continue being more naughty and
- 34:40Speaker 2: all that even after I started to interact with him
- 34:42Speaker 2: and engage him, but with that time and effort, I
- 34:46Speaker 2: realized actually some of these behaviors can be explained because of, um,
- 34:50Speaker 2: things such as his broken family and, um, all the
- 34:54Speaker 2: overexposure to negative peer influence outside.
- 34:57Speaker 2: And with that time he actually started to open up
- 35:00Speaker 2: to me and share with me all these things and
- 35:03Speaker 2: I guess I guess that's where I think he started
- 35:05Speaker 2: to see me more as a mentor rather than as
- 35:07Speaker 2: a discipline master. And that was the turning point. He's
- 35:11Speaker 2: actually so much better now. I I'm really glad for
- 35:13Speaker 2: him and um I think this is actually um it's
- 35:15Speaker 2: a great example of how
- 35:17Speaker 2: People can be somewhat right and yet so wrong at
- 35:19Speaker 2: the same time.
- 35:20Speaker 1: You are so right. Look, I think credit has to
- 35:23Speaker 1: be given to you as well for seeing the good
- 35:26Speaker 1: in someone when everyone else did not believe in that person,
- 35:29Speaker 1: you know, we all need that one person in life.
- 35:31Speaker 1: Eric's a real-life angel here in Singapore. Well done, Eric.
- 35:34Speaker 1: Thank you. We all need an Eric in our lives. Yes,
- 35:36Speaker 1: we do.
- 35:38Speaker 2: Thank you. Thank you. I didn't think of it that way.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 35:41Speaker 1: Well, yeah, now see, we flipped the perspective for you. Thanks, Eric.
- 35:44Speaker 1: You have a great day, OK?
- 35:46Speaker 2: Sure, will do. You guys too.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Thank you for your stories, your messages, your calls from today,
- 35:51Speaker 1: this morning. We're talking about cautionary tales. Whether or not
- 35:55Speaker 1: you've been the subject of people warning others about you,
- 35:58Speaker 1: doesn't mean it's only in relationships, could be just as
- 36:01Speaker 1: a judgment of character, or have you warned your friends
- 36:03Speaker 1: about someone they were dating before. Thank you so much
- 36:06Speaker 1: for all your calls and texts and in case you
- 36:08Speaker 1: missed it, not to worry, it'll be available for you
- 36:10Speaker 1: on me. Listen. You can get.
- 36:12Speaker 1: The app is absolutely free or on Spotify too. But
- 36:14Speaker 1: I want to also say a big thank you to
- 36:16Speaker 1: our friends over at UOB Sonia. I think last year
- 36:20Speaker 1: they were busy putting together the whole Lady Gaga experience
- 36:22Speaker 1: for us in Singapore. This year they're going to give
- 36:24Speaker 1: us Leve live in Singapore. I mean, I am a
- 36:27Speaker 1: proud UOB card holder, so I, I can tell you
- 36:30Speaker 1: that there's always priority access to some of the best
- 36:32Speaker 1: entertainment acts in the region, not just in Singapore, in
- 36:35Speaker 1: the region.
- 36:35Speaker 1: So please log on to www.UB.com.sg for more info. But
- 36:40Speaker 1: for today, we've got one winner for that pair of
- 36:42Speaker 1: Cat 3 tickets to Lebe's sold-out show. It is worth $436.
- 36:48Speaker 1: It is going to Aaron.
- 36:51Speaker 1: Eric, congrats. We loved your story. It was something very
- 36:54Speaker 1: different and such a great takeaway from it too. And
- 36:57Speaker 1: as somebody who was a mischievous secondary school kid, yeah,
- 37:00Speaker 1: I could have used an Eric in my life. Yeah,
- 37:02Speaker 1: no wonder nothing has changed, right? You're still the same now. Eric, congratulations.
- 37:07Speaker 1: Enjoy and you're gonna hear this one live in concert.
- 37:10Speaker 1: It's gonna sound the same because her vocals are so good. OK,
- 37:13Speaker 1: Sonia Chew, I know you're not a wrestling fan. No,
- 37:16Speaker 1: but if I were to ask you to name me
- 37:17Speaker 1: a few wrestlers you might know of, um, Seth Rogen.
- 37:23Speaker 1: Sorry, what? You mean Seth Rollins. Seth Rollins, What's the actor?
- 37:31Speaker 1: Wow.
- 37:33Speaker 1: I got the first name right. Anybody else? The Rock. Yes,
- 37:37Speaker 1: that's one. But you're talking like wrestling or like the
- 37:40Speaker 1: WWE WWE OK, one more like the one they say
- 37:44Speaker 1: they cannot see. The Undertaker. No, I mean, yeah, OK,
- 37:49Speaker 1: well done.
- 37:51Speaker 1: You can't see John Cena. John Cena, OK, yeah. I'll
- 37:55Speaker 1: give you one more name. Tell me if you know
- 37:57Speaker 1: this person, OK? The late Hulk Hogan. Yes, yes, of course.
- 38:01Speaker 1: He died last year. He passed away. I didn't, I
- 38:04Speaker 1: didn't realize that. Yeah, all of a sudden.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Whether you like him or not as the person, Terry Bollea,
- 38:11Speaker 1: Hulk Hogan's name, he was really one of those stars
- 38:14Speaker 1: in the 80s that made wrestling what it is today.
- 38:18Speaker 1: He paved the way so people like The Rock and
- 38:20Speaker 1: even John Cena can run. So Netflix, they announced that
- 38:25Speaker 1: on April 22nd, they'll be dropping the Hulk Hogan documentary
- 38:29Speaker 1: featuring his final interview before he passed on. Is it
- 38:35Speaker 1: never seen before?
- 38:35Speaker 1: Footage like that. So I believe they might have been
- 38:38Speaker 1: making this documentary over the last 2 or 3 years,
- 38:41Speaker 1: and then for Hulk Hogan to pass away suddenly, I
- 38:43Speaker 1: don't think he's around to watch it, but his family can.
- 38:46Speaker 1: But yeah, so they go to people who actually had
- 38:48Speaker 1: legitimate beef with him for interviews, snippets and all that.
- 38:52Speaker 1: So one wrestler who really cannot stand Hulk Hogan, his
- 38:57Speaker 1: name is Brett Hart, I don't know this one, which,
- 38:59Speaker 1: which I love watching him perform as well, and he
- 39:01Speaker 1: had one line in the trailer, he's a liar.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. So he's still alive, lah. Who
- 39:08Speaker 1: as in Hulk Hogan? No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
- 39:09Speaker 1: Hulk Hogan has passed on already passed on, but in
- 39:12Speaker 1: terms of the, the character Hulk Hogan and the person
- 39:16Speaker 1: Terry Bollea, always confused, very different people. OK, well, I'm,
- 39:20Speaker 1: I would watch it even if I don't follow wrestling.
- 39:24Speaker 1: But you know, brother, you better say your prayers and
- 39:26Speaker 1: eat your vitamins. What you gonna do when hawker mania
- 39:29Speaker 1: runs wild on you? Why you sound like Cookie Monster.
- 39:33Speaker 1: About to go on TikTok live in less than 10
- 39:35Speaker 1: minutes for a pretty, I would say funny guest joining
- 39:40Speaker 1: us in a while. This man is a man who
- 39:42Speaker 1: wears many hats. If you go to the theaters, not cinemas,
- 39:46Speaker 1: theaters regularly here in Singapore over the last decade or so,
- 39:51Speaker 1: there was one name that you would know it's definitely
- 39:53Speaker 1: a heavyweight in the theater scene in Singapore, Andrew.
- 39:57Speaker 1: Marco, let me read to you his resume when he
- 39:59Speaker 1: shows up and give him a special intro as well.
- 40:02Speaker 1: You go way back with him, like you've known him
- 40:04Speaker 1: for a while, right? Honestly, I met him through Benjamin King. Oh, yes, yes,
- 40:07Speaker 1: me too. Yeah, and we have our mutual friend Tim,
- 40:10Speaker 1: who knows him and Nathan Hartono as well. But so
- 40:12Speaker 1: what I'm curious about, you know, um, funny guys, funny
- 40:16Speaker 1: dudes like Andrew Markle, right? Like if they're different on
- 40:19Speaker 1: and off stage.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Like, are they actually, you know, joking about and always
- 40:24Speaker 1: cracking jokes all the time, you know, maybe in a
- 40:26Speaker 1: social setting, Andrew Mark Andrew. It could be different, yeah,
- 40:29Speaker 1: but maybe on his phone, like myself, very quiet, yeah, yeah,
- 40:33Speaker 1: plug in earphones, yeah, disconnect from the world for a while, yeah, yeah,
- 40:37Speaker 1: doesn't hurt to meet people sometimes, you know, Joe. I do.
- 40:41Speaker 1: I do. I just rather stay at home in my bed.
- 40:43Speaker 1: I know.
