- 0:00SPEAKER_02: Welcome back, everyone, to another episode of Obnoxiously Pleasant.
- 0:04SPEAKER_00: I love making Alina do that because she hates it.
- 0:08SPEAKER_00: One of these days, one of these days, I'm gonna stop you.
- 0:11SPEAKER_02: I just want to point out as we're starting this episode for everybody this week, I'm wearing a shirt that doesn't have any holes in it.
- 0:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 0:20SPEAKER_02: Zero.
- 0:20SPEAKER_00: That's good.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: I'm absurd.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: I'm happy for you.
- 0:22SPEAKER_02: I'm sure you and the rest of you know the internet that listens to us, the rest of the population online that listens to us.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: But yeah, thank you for everybody.
- 0:30SPEAKER_02: For everybody that left comments on last week's episode about how you're tormented by that too.
- 0:35SPEAKER_02: There um there was one epit, there was one comment that I think I literally laughed out loud when I read it.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: Which one?
- 0:44SPEAKER_02: The one that said, uh, my dad would always tell me, like, here's money ash and the committee pantalon or from talon came in.
- 0:50SPEAKER_02: I laughed so hard because I'm like, yep, that person's Egyptian.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they look like I mean it's not just Egyptians, it's all over the Arab world.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 0:58SPEAKER_02: But I just like fantastic.
- 1:02SPEAKER_02: Yeah, anyway.
- 1:03SPEAKER_02: What was your weekend?
- 1:04SPEAKER_02: It was really good.
- 1:05SPEAKER_02: It was nice, it was super chill.
- 1:07SPEAKER_02: I spent my day today uh making that wonderful gift that I made for you.
- 1:11SPEAKER_02: So that was nice.
- 1:12SPEAKER_02: That was fun.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: I just feel like I feel like that my text messages to you are all like podcast related.
- 1:19SPEAKER_02: Well, I picked the one specifically about the podcast because I thought they were hilarious.
- 1:23SPEAKER_02: Like, and I just like mixed them up, and the song came out so perfectly like 90s.
- 1:29SPEAKER_00: But you missed one of the best texts I always send you.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: Did you lose your mic again?
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: Did you lose your mic again?
- 1:33SPEAKER_02: Yeah, well, I had the one that like you gotta make sure you have a mic stand, you know.
- 1:38SPEAKER_02: Yeah, and I uh I loved how I loved how it went.
- 1:42SPEAKER_02: No, no, it was laughing.
- 1:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, is you're laughing, but I know you.
- 1:46SPEAKER_02: I was like, Yeah, that's true.
- 1:48SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, so big news this weekend, huh?
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, you say it was chill.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: My weekend was not chill.
- 1:53SPEAKER_00: I had to work yesterday and today.
- 1:55SPEAKER_02: Yes, your weekend was not chill because there was big news this weekend with the White House Correspondence Dinner.
- 1:59SPEAKER_02: And if you guys had not catched the news, you didn't see that.
- 2:03SPEAKER_02: Oh, everyone caught the news, trust me.
- 2:04SPEAKER_02: I mean, there are some people out there who didn't catch the news.
- 2:07SPEAKER_02: No, no, I'm sure.
- 2:08SPEAKER_00: Like what are they living under a rock?
- 2:10SPEAKER_00: No way, everyone knows.
- 2:11SPEAKER_02: Probably there was a that there was a shooting at the White House Correspondence Center.
- 2:15SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:17SPEAKER_00: I love how how Danet uh sent sent me a text and sent you a text.
- 2:20SPEAKER_00: She was looking for me.
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: She's like, Did you go?
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: Did you go?
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: No, I did not go.
- 2:24SPEAKER_02: I think my favorite thing out of that whole incident, right?
- 2:29SPEAKER_02: Had to be the guy that was just sitting there eating his food.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: That was, I mean, listen.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: That was amazing.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: And you know, I've had that food, it's not great.
- 2:37SPEAKER_02: Whatever.
- 2:38SPEAKER_02: He was just like, it's not that big of a deal.
- 2:39SPEAKER_02: I'm just gonna finish my dinner.
- 2:41SPEAKER_02: That's why I came.
- 2:42SPEAKER_02: So I loved him.
- 2:43SPEAKER_02: The other lady that I loved was the lady collecting all the wine bottles at the table.
- 2:47SPEAKER_02: I was like, did she buy those?
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, listen, I don't, I don't, I don't drink, but I also heard the wine is not great.
- 2:53SPEAKER_00: But I'm but I don't know if you get like a glass or if she just no, they the bottles they put two bottles on the table, usually.
- 3:01SPEAKER_02: Okay, and then she just decided she decided she was going home with them.
- 3:04SPEAKER_02: I was like, you know what?
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she's like, I'm if I have to leave here, like I'm leaving with something.
- 3:10SPEAKER_02: Okay, so the real question here is it real or staged?
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, I so staged.
- 3:15SPEAKER_02: There's no way it's real, there's no way it's real.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: Listen, from my experience, I've been to a couple of these uh events and I've also been to other events like rallies, Trump rallies, or whatever.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: I heard yesterday, okay, because I've been to I've been to a couple of those events myself, right?
- 3:32SPEAKER_02: I heard that there was like there's usually like security where you go in and they like check all your stuff that that wasn't there yesterday.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: Am I wrong?
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: Did I mishear that?
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 3:42SPEAKER_00: I'm not sure about that, but for I'm I'm gonna tell you my experience.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: When I went the the two times, and the first time was it was during the Biden administration, right?
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and then the second time it was during Trump, but Trump didn't go.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: This was his first first one as president.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: I'm going.
- 3:57SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: Uh yeah.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: And then I'm telling you, the security was so strict.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Okay, and obviously you need a ticket, and the ticket you can't like, you know, it's that's what I mean.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: Okay, so uh, we're like you're saying the opposite of what I'm saying.
- 4:12SPEAKER_02: I heard security was not that strict.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: I didn't go to the one that okay from yesterday, obviously.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: But I'm telling you from my experience, the the security previously, okay yes, my the security is crazy, and then even when you go to a Trump rally, and by the way, I went to a Trump rally not because I wanted to, it's because of my job.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: Okay, just to clarify that.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: But um, no, I didn't.
- 4:32SPEAKER_00: Um, I've been to a few of them.
- 4:34SPEAKER_00: So what if you went to a Trump rally just to see what's happening?
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: It's okay.
- 4:38SPEAKER_02: You have to not no one's gonna judge you, okay.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: I should be judged if I'm going to a Trump rally voluntarily, okay.
- 4:45SPEAKER_00: Anyway, but that's not the point.
- 4:47SPEAKER_02: What if you're going to a Trump rally to do like investigative journalism?
- 4:50SPEAKER_00: That's what I'm saying.
- 4:51SPEAKER_02: I mean, like I went journalist.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: You don't you don't need to explain why you're going.
- 4:55SPEAKER_02: I went, okay.
- 4:56SPEAKER_02: It doesn't matter why you went, and then you're not you're not focusing.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: Focus besides the point.
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: Besides the point, the point is, the point is the security is insane.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: You have to do especially like any of these things, the security is insane.
- 5:07SPEAKER_02: But what I heard about yesterday is that security was not insane.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I mean, I heard some of that, but that's just crazy to me.
- 5:12SPEAKER_00: Like, especially because this is his first time going to these things.
- 5:15SPEAKER_00: Like, why wouldn't it be?
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Why wouldn't it be crazy?
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Because something like this was staged.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Like they had to die through it.
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: It just doesn't make sense.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: So when they want to have security, they have security, and you can't even, I mean, people, I mean, they weren't even allowing like people with vapes to go in to these events.
- 5:32SPEAKER_00: So, like, I'm just shocked that this even happened.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Like, I just I I don't think like the my first initial reaction was definitely staged.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: The guy okay, so let's just for shit think you go say it wasn't staged.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: Okay, like whatever.
- 5:46SPEAKER_02: It wasn't it wasn't staged, it was a real thing.
- 5:50SPEAKER_02: Like, again, like whatever.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: Who cares?
- 5:54SPEAKER_00: What do you mean who cares?
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: No, like, like, no, they ruined my weekend.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: My weekend is still getting I think the funniest thing had to be the speech that uh Carolyn Levitt came like gave before where she was like, Oh my god, the shots will be fired.
- 6:07SPEAKER_02: Shots will be fired.
- 6:08SPEAKER_02: I was like, um, was she dropping a hint?
- 6:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I don't know.
- 6:12SPEAKER_00: I mean, you know, he's supposed to be funny and making jokes.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: I don't know, but I think it's all like his his ratings are horrendous, his approval ratings are.
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: When I saw the footage yesterday, like besides the whole shooting thing, he looked so like out of it, yeah.
- 6:29SPEAKER_00: It's yeah, I mean, I don't and and honestly, like, I don't know why he was even invited.
- 6:34SPEAKER_00: Like, like the White House press corps, like honestly, with all the stuff that he does and all the things that he says is there even a like is there even a a real like White House press corps right now?
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: I mean, there are still I mean there's a lot of legacy media people there, and I just don't understand.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: He's he's he's called them piggy.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: He's he's he's he just berated a uh a journalist the other day.
- 7:01SPEAKER_00: Like he's constantly berating journalists.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: So why is it I mean I don't even know why he's there, like why even invite him to this event, honestly.
- 7:07SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 7:07SPEAKER_02: I feel like it's it's part of the um it's I don't know.
- 7:11SPEAKER_02: The don't they get invited all the time?
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: They do, but I'm just like I don't know you know what it's like.
- 7:17SPEAKER_02: I feel like these events crack me up because I feel like they're um I feel like it's kind of funny because you know how everybody has that like one person when you have an event that you like have to invite and you don't want to invite.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: I feel like you think that's what happened.
- 7:33SPEAKER_00: You think that's what happened?
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: They're like, they're like, God, we have to invite him.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: I mean, the funniest tweet I saw in all of this was this lady was like, You guys ruined my weekend for nothing.
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: Next time call me when it actually happens, you know.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: And I'm just like, okay, that was funny.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Wow.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: Why did I say that?
- 7:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um, yeah.
- 7:50SPEAKER_00: So and then the other the other interesting thing is that these Republicans went crazy online.
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: They were like, Oh, it was so terrifying, oh, it was harrowing, oh, it was so scary.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: And I'm just like, now maybe you know how school kids feel in this country.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: Thank you, thank you.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: I I mean I have to do that.
- 8:12SPEAKER_02: Did they not do a lockdown drill ever in life?
- 8:14SPEAKER_02: Maybe they don't know what a lockdown drill feels like.
- 8:16SPEAKER_02: Maybe that's why.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's only traumatizing because they went through it, you know, but still no no gun control.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: No gun control.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Um, what else?
- 8:29SPEAKER_00: Anything else?
- 8:30SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, I discovered something this week.
- 8:32SPEAKER_00: No, no, before before we move on to the next topic.
- 8:34SPEAKER_00: Oh, oh, I did you see whatever it's just like I just remembered non-factory.
- 8:37SPEAKER_00: No, no, but did you see Erica Kirk crying?
- 8:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I just want to go home.
- 8:42SPEAKER_00: You have some complexity.
- 8:44SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's not even you know, honestly, again, again, uh the what you just said about like about school kids gun control, like they've clearly none of them have ever been on a lockdown drill.
- 8:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I I have no sympathy, no sympathy.
- 8:57SPEAKER_03: Me neither.
- 8:58SPEAKER_02: Uh like uh what are what I was supposed to be?
- 9:00SPEAKER_02: Like, I'm sorry, you were scared and you wanted to go home.
- 9:02SPEAKER_02: No sympathy.
- 9:03SPEAKER_02: And not even not even about her specifically, just in general.
- 9:05SPEAKER_02: I would have been that guy finishing his food.
- 9:07SPEAKER_02: I mean, I came all the way here, I got dressed, I did my hair, I might as well eat my dinner.
- 9:12SPEAKER_02: Tell me how long though.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: No, you're not.
- 9:14SPEAKER_00: I was telling a colleague, I was like, I would be so pissed off if I did my hair, my makeup, I gotta dress, and then this shit happens.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: I just I I have yeah.
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, I'm glad nobody got hurt.
- 9:26SPEAKER_00: Obviously, I would I don't want anyone to getting hurt, but at the same time, I'm sorry, especially to these Republicans who don't believe in gun control.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 9:35SPEAKER_00: I just and honestly, it's just this is staged.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Let's just be real.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: And even if it wasn't, let's just say, whatever.
- 9:43SPEAKER_02: I okay, staged, not staged, besides the point, right?
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: I again, how am I going to feel remorse or upset or empathetic towards a group of people who don't feel that way about school children?
- 9:55SPEAKER_02: Like you're forcing a population of society, kids, children, all ages, to come up in the school system that they're in and the teachers to come up with a plan for what to do if there's an active shooter in the building, something that is 100% totally preventable.
- 10:11SPEAKER_02: And then when it happens to you, you run out and you're crying.
- 10:14SPEAKER_02: Again, I would have been that guy finishing his dinner, being like, okay, I guess it's our time.
- 10:18SPEAKER_02: I might as well die full instead of dying hungry, right?
- 10:21SPEAKER_02: 100%.
- 10:22SPEAKER_02: I again, I don't, I don't, I don't care if there's somebody armed that came in because literally, this is as a parent.
- 10:29SPEAKER_02: And then for the school kids, we experience that fear every single, every day.
- 10:33SPEAKER_02: Every day you're worried about it.
- 10:36SPEAKER_02: And then honestly, it's not just at school.Anywhere you go, anywhere you go, that is an imminent like thing that may happen to you.
- 10:45SPEAKER_02: So welcome to the rest of how the other 98% is living.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: That's how I feel.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's so there's that.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: Sums it up.
- 10:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, sums it up.
- 10:57SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 10:57SPEAKER_02: So this week, this is actually the much more exciting topic because I'm way behind the times, but this really just threw me for a loop.
- 11:03SPEAKER_02: Remember how like last week we were talking about Elmo and Habibi and Salamu alaikum or he said salam, right?
- 11:10SPEAKER_02: Um uh I and like about feeling in like you know, seen and being included.
- 11:16SPEAKER_02: So I found out this week that American Girl had aid doll, right?
- 11:20SPEAKER_02: Okay, and she was released for Eidl Fatr 2021, I think it was, right?
- 11:25SPEAKER_02: Or 2020 something, 2022.
- 11:27SPEAKER_02: I just put it up.
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: Perfect.
- 11:28SPEAKER_02: Okay, so that's the American Girl doll.
- 11:31SPEAKER_02: I I'm so excited that this exists.
- 11:34SPEAKER_02: However, what's happening with her outfit?
- 11:39SPEAKER_00: Can we pause?
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this is from 2021, right?
- 11:42SPEAKER_00: Because you yeah, and then you sent it to me and you told me, don't give me your thoughts on this, but I had to search.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: I'm like, what is this?
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: I I don't remember this.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: Did you see her shoes?
- 11:52SPEAKER_00: Hold on, let me let me get another picture.
- 11:54SPEAKER_00: Hold on.
- 11:55SPEAKER_00: What what's happening here?
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: Why is she wearing pants under her dress?
- 11:59SPEAKER_00: Did you see a little idea envelope?
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: That that whole ensemble is just her on this.
- 12:06SPEAKER_01: What's happening?
- 12:07SPEAKER_00: I mean, it did it did hijabis so dirty.
- 12:11SPEAKER_01: I I thank you.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 12:13SPEAKER_01: Because there's like hijabis are so stylish and so yeah, I'm I'm sorry.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: Um, like like country agnostic or ethnically agnostic.
- 12:27SPEAKER_02: I don't like basically just you know, like basically, like they don't want her to be like um a specific kind of Arab or South Asian or Asian or what I get it, right?
- 12:37SPEAKER_02: I get it, but I don't understand why she looks like this.
- 12:41SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, first of all, the hijab on her head is like what you wear when like the mailman comes to your door like unexpectedly.
- 12:49SPEAKER_02: Oh, my niece said the funniest thing today.
- 12:51SPEAKER_02: Shout out, Layla.
- 12:52SPEAKER_02: She goes, This is the hijab that the mailman or my Masaleya see.
- 12:55SPEAKER_02: That's it, like my prayer man or the mailman see.
- 12:58SPEAKER_02: Nobody else sees because the hijab, those little like sparkles on top, like no.
- 13:03SPEAKER_02: That's like the kind that you literally like just kind of have around the house for whatever.
- 13:07SPEAKER_02: And then I don't mind the dress, I just don't know why she had to wear pants with you know a ship shib.
- 13:12SPEAKER_02: Like uh she has to be halal, she can't be showing her ankles, no, but I couldn't she wear tights and shoes.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: What's wrong with tights and shoes?
- 13:18SPEAKER_01: And the sandal, I can't like the ship ship, like and then the eat money envelope.
- 13:26SPEAKER_02: Like, okay, I love how on point it is with the eid money envelope.
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: I don't have a problem with it, but just the colors together.
- 13:32SPEAKER_02: I don't understand the gold chip ship, like it's just throwing me.
- 13:36SPEAKER_02: I saw this, and it's funny because Jumana and I were talking about this, and she goes, Why are all the other ones like cute?
- 13:43SPEAKER_02: And then there's this one, yeah, because they did like a whole like uh different there's like a there's a Christmas one, there's a Hanukkah one, there's a Kwanzaa one, there's a Diwali one.
- 13:52SPEAKER_02: Yes, and they're they I saw that, and they're all so nice.
- 13:55SPEAKER_02: The Diwali one is gorgeous.
- 13:56SPEAKER_02: That's probably one of my favorites.
- 13:58SPEAKER_02: Her outfit, the hair, everything, right?
- 13:59SPEAKER_02: Like she's on point.
- 14:01SPEAKER_02: I just don't understand why the Aid Fatr one looks like this.
- 14:06SPEAKER_00: No, it's very bad.
- 14:07SPEAKER_00: And like, you know, like I I respect them for trying to be inclusive.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: Like, I totally get it.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: I love that, and I appreciate it, but like as a Muslim, like listen, I know a bunch of hijabis, and this is not it.
- 14:21SPEAKER_02: Like, this is not I do think I do think it's cute that they tried.
- 14:26SPEAKER_02: I gotta give them a A for effort.
- 14:28SPEAKER_02: Like, I love this American girl.
- 14:29SPEAKER_02: I just wish she would have consulted, like, you know, like a really cute, like hijabi.
- 14:34SPEAKER_02: There's so many cute hijabi influencers.
- 14:36SPEAKER_00: I yeah, this one is just I can't.
- 14:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, this is pretty bad.
- 14:39SPEAKER_00: This is pretty bad.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: I mean, like I you told me I was I started typing you like nope, save it for the pop podcast.
- 14:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so you can see what it looks like.
- 14:47SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I mean, again, I love I again I I wish that something like this, and I laugh about it now, which is kind of like you know, bitchy of me, but I wish something like this was around when I was little, right?
- 14:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, I think it would have been awesome.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: So a A for effort, like to yeah, A for effort to like American girl, but it's I just wish her outfit was different.
- 15:08SPEAKER_02: That's just me being like extra.
- 15:10SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 15:11SPEAKER_02: Like that's just me being extra.
- 15:12SPEAKER_02: That's like salah clothes, really.
- 15:14SPEAKER_02: It's not even I just can't get over the pants, the pants and the dress together.
- 15:18SPEAKER_00: Like, I can't get over the sparkles on the thing for me, the sequence on the I can't, no, no.
- 15:23SPEAKER_02: It really is that like random one that you have around the house just to pray in, right?
- 15:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 15:27SPEAKER_02: So that that kind of you know made me.
- 15:30SPEAKER_02: What else?
- 15:31SPEAKER_02: What else you got going on?
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: I mean, really, that's it.
- 15:33SPEAKER_02: I don't really have much.
- 15:34SPEAKER_02: There's nothing, uh nothing exciting.
- 15:36SPEAKER_02: Oh, the other thing I saw exciting in the news this week was um, you know, Anne Hathaway and her, inshallah.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but people overdid it.
- 15:44SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 15:44SPEAKER_00: I was like, she said, inshallah, like, okay, why do we make a big deal out of every little thing?
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: Like, why do we get so excited?
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: Like, it's cute, it's nice.
- 15:52SPEAKER_00: But people over the top, and like people saying, Oh, she's Muslim, people making I'm like, guys, stop.
- 15:57SPEAKER_00: Uh I saw I saw someone post, oh, it's like, you know, all these fake articles, and I'm just like, does it matter?
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: Like, why do we care?
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Why are we so invested in this?
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: I wonder, I often wonder about that.
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: Like, why we are so why we so badly want these people to, you know, be us or represent us, but that's a whole other thing.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: No, I mean, it was nice, it's nice, but like I think the word inshallah, like a lot of people use it, yeah.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: Okay, yeah, yeah.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: And it's nice of her, but like the internet just lost its mind, dude.
- 16:24SPEAKER_02: I'm just like isn't that usually what happens is the internet loses its mind, right?
- 16:29SPEAKER_02: Usually that's exactly what happens.
- 16:30SPEAKER_00: But where does it come from?
- 16:32SPEAKER_00: Are we that desperate?
- 16:34SPEAKER_02: No, again, it all goes back to like I think we just want to be included, like everybody just wants to feel included.
- 16:40SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was cute.
- 16:42SPEAKER_00: I sent it to you, but then like literally the next two days, it was just like insanity.
- 16:47SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, oh my god, okay, chill.
- 16:48SPEAKER_00: People need to relax.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: And then do you see the guy who gave her a Quran?
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: I'm like, which is fine.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: She took it, she was very nice about it, but I'm just like, okay.
- 16:57SPEAKER_02: Um, yeah, no, I thought there was a lot of uh there was a lot of interesting, uh, there's a lot of interesting like um discussion around that.
- 17:04SPEAKER_02: And I'm like, it's not that serious, guys.
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: No, it's not.
- 17:07SPEAKER_02: Like people took it and ran with it, and I'm like, why?
- 17:10SPEAKER_02: It's yeah, yeah.
- 17:12SPEAKER_02: So yeah, that's that's that's about it.
- 17:14SPEAKER_02: That other than that, like I but we need to go see the movie.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: Yes, we are definitely gonna go see the movie.
- 17:20SPEAKER_02: We are definitely gonna go see the movies because she watched the first one.
- 17:23SPEAKER_02: Finally, I feel like it's a right of pass.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: I feel like it's a rite of passage almost.
- 17:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, like everybody has you have to buy.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: I don't know why.
- 17:29SPEAKER_02: I love there's so many good movies that I I and that's you know, that takes me to my next topic.
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: They don't make movies like they used to, they really don't.
- 17:37SPEAKER_02: No, no.
- 17:39SPEAKER_02: So if you had to pick like one movie from your childhood, one movie, right?
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: Okay, where you're like this like you can remember the whole thing, you've watched it a million times, you love it, it never gets old.
- 17:51SPEAKER_02: Which one would it be?
- 17:52SPEAKER_02: What movie would it be?
- 17:54SPEAKER_00: Never gets old.
- 17:58SPEAKER_02: Because like I know my movie.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: What's your movie?
- 18:01SPEAKER_02: No, you tell me first.
- 18:03SPEAKER_02: I asked you the question.
- 18:04SPEAKER_00: The only thing popping up in my head right now is home alone.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: Oh, of course, but nothing else.
- 18:12SPEAKER_02: Tell me why my life is good.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: My family's just yelling in the background.
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: Like, they know I'm doing why are they yelling in the background?
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: I kick them all upstairs.
- 18:20SPEAKER_02: I'm like yellow.
- 18:21SPEAKER_02: Well, they're all upstairs, but still, like, I don't know why they're all yelling in the background.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: But, anyways, but um What's your movie?
- 18:27SPEAKER_02: Mrs.
- 18:27SPEAKER_02: That fire.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Oh yes, yes, definitely.
- 18:31SPEAKER_02: I love that movie.
- 18:32SPEAKER_02: Me too.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: My favorite line always, and I still say it anytime that I like I'm like always like, help is on the way, dear.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: Help is on the way.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:40SPEAKER_00: That's a classic movie.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: No, but it's not like like I think the last awesome movie that I saw.
- 18:45SPEAKER_00: Um, I think it's called All That's Left of Us, the Palestinian Film.
- 18:51SPEAKER_00: Hold on, let me see.
- 18:52SPEAKER_02: Guys, I don't watch movies.
- 18:54SPEAKER_02: Like, fun fact, I really, really don't watch movies.
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: Hold on, let me look it up.
- 19:00SPEAKER_02: Remember when I went to the movies during COVID without you?
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: Oh, sorry, all that's left of you.
- 19:06SPEAKER_02: All that's left of you.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: But yeah, remember amazing movie.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Top like it's a Palestinian-made movie.
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: Amazing, amazing, amazing.
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: You need to watch it by the way.
- 19:15SPEAKER_02: What is it on?
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: Is it in theaters or is it on the movie?
- 19:17SPEAKER_00: Well, I took the kids, we saw it in the movie at um I'm sure I can find that online.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: It is amazing.
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Like all that's left of you, kids.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: All that's left of you.
- 19:26SPEAKER_00: Um, you know, the uh what's her name?
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: I can't remember her name.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: She played Mo's sister in Mo.
- 19:30SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah, Netflix.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: So she she she produced and directed this film.
- 19:34SPEAKER_00: Okay, nice.
- 19:35SPEAKER_00: Okay, and I took the kids and they absolutely loved it.
- 19:39SPEAKER_00: Like they were like both of them, they're like 10 out of 10.
- 19:42SPEAKER_00: Okay, that's awesome.
- 19:43SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.
- 19:44SPEAKER_00: Um, and and we saw Palestine 36 too.
- 19:47SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I feel like I used to have a lot more patience to like sit and go through a movie, and I don't anymore.
- 19:53SPEAKER_02: But like one of the reasons, for example, let's say the Devil Wars Prada is because two is because I love the original Devil Wars Prada.
- 19:59SPEAKER_02: But like very, very rarely do I'm like, oh my god, let me sit down and like watch this movie.
- 20:04SPEAKER_02: And like I only watch a show if you're telling me, like, oh, let's watch this so we can review it together.
- 20:08SPEAKER_02: Tell me like what your thoughts are.
- 20:09SPEAKER_02: Other than that, I'm like, I have no capacity to sit there and watch something.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: You know, I was gonna tell you, are you gonna be okay watching a movie?
- 20:15SPEAKER_00: Because I know you, you have like a very short attention spend.
- 20:18SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna fall asleep.
- 20:20SPEAKER_00: No, you're not.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: No, no, no, no.
- 20:21SPEAKER_02: I think if we go to a good movie theater, I'll be fine.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: Like, what is a good movie theater?
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: Like, you know, when you can stretch out your feet and your seatworms and all that stuff.
- 20:30SPEAKER_02: I'm all about that.
- 20:30SPEAKER_00: I shan't totarasi with nami.
- 20:36SPEAKER_00: You need to be upright, Henan.
- 20:38SPEAKER_01: But the seats are so uncomfortable sometimes.
- 20:40SPEAKER_01: You have to put your seat on the chair in front of you.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: I mean, we can go to the Springfield one.
- 20:45SPEAKER_02: That one sucks.
- 20:46SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, man, that one sucks.
- 20:48SPEAKER_00: I've been going to Angelica for the past Angelica's awesome.
- 20:51SPEAKER_02: We could go there.
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: Angels and I like that area.
- 20:57SPEAKER_02: I'm like, and I like that, yeah, and I like that area a lot.
- 21:00SPEAKER_02: What else?
- 21:00SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: That's it, really.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 21:02SPEAKER_02: Like my life is like boring lately.
- 21:04SPEAKER_02: I don't really have much going on.
- 21:06SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 21:07SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: Can you believe it?
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: Me, of all people, I don't have anything going on.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: It's very shocking.
- 21:12SPEAKER_00: I don't believe that.
- 21:14SPEAKER_02: I mean, what what would I have going on, just out of curiosity?
- 21:17SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: You always have something going on.
- 21:20SPEAKER_02: You know, I try I am in the season of life where I'm just trying to make it as I like to tell people.
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: That's it.
- 21:26SPEAKER_02: I'm just trying to make it.
- 21:27SPEAKER_02: I'm trying to exist.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: I'm trying to exist.
- 21:30SPEAKER_02: You know what I thought about today when I say I'm just trying to exist, I'm trying to make it.
- 21:34SPEAKER_02: I was looking through um like the videos that I have saved on Instagram, and I keep saving.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: This is funny.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: I'm sure everybody, well, not everybody, I'm sure there are people out there who do this.
- 21:45SPEAKER_02: Like you see a recipe when you're scrolling and you save it because you're like, Oh, that's it.
- 21:49SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna make this right and like I realized that I have a lot of like baking recipes and I don't bake at all.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: Mainly because you have them saved.
- 21:58SPEAKER_02: I uh my hope is that one day.
- 22:00SPEAKER_02: I'll be, I'll like I'll bake one of these cakes.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: My problem is like I don't ever follow a recipe.
- 22:05SPEAKER_02: So I don't know why I keep saving recipes.
- 22:07SPEAKER_02: I keep adding stuff and like that the recipe doesn't call for.
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: And then I wonder why things don't turn out the way that they're supposed to.
- 22:14SPEAKER_02: And it's this vicious cycle every single time.
- 22:17SPEAKER_02: Food, I don't need a recipe, but it's baking.
- 22:19SPEAKER_02: You know, baking is a science.
- 22:20SPEAKER_02: Like you have to have measurements and all this stuff.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: Nope, not mean.
- 22:23SPEAKER_00: I'm like, I'm not I'm not into baking.
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: I mean, it's just too many steps for me.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: I'm just like, yeah.
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: No, it's okay.
- 22:28SPEAKER_02: It's not about being into it or not into it.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: It's that no, you have to be into it, henan.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: If you're not into it, then you're not gonna be a good baker.
- 22:35SPEAKER_02: That's not true.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 22:36SPEAKER_02: That's what recipes are for.
- 22:37SPEAKER_02: You can be as niphus in Nifus.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: No, it's not food, it's baking.
- 22:42SPEAKER_02: You don't have Nifus in baking, which is why baking fails.
- 22:45SPEAKER_00: No, you need to be patient, though.
- 22:46SPEAKER_00: You need to be patient to follow a baking recipe.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: Do you know how many, how many direct, like how many steps there are sometimes?
- 22:53SPEAKER_02: Actually, no, there's a lot of them that are really simple.
- 22:55SPEAKER_02: Like the one I have has like seven ingredients and like six steps or something, or five steps.
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: It's very easy, right?
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: So the problem is that, like, you know, sometimes in the middle, and I don't think you have to be patient or anything.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: I think you literally just have to be able to follow directions, like any recipe.
- 23:10SPEAKER_02: And you can so the problem is with cooking, you don't have to technically follow directions, right?
- 23:16SPEAKER_02: Especially if you have a good foundation, right?
- 23:20SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 23:21SPEAKER_02: Like, I can make these things.
- 23:23SPEAKER_02: I know that these flavor profiles go together.
- 23:25SPEAKER_02: Well, I know what's cooking is very different than baking.
- 23:27SPEAKER_02: Baking.
- 23:28SPEAKER_02: And you can improvise.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: You can improvise.
- 23:30SPEAKER_02: I'm not improvising baking.
- 23:32SPEAKER_02: That's what I mean.
- 23:33SPEAKER_02: Like when you say, like, oh, it doesn't mean you couldn't feel eklen, nefasfil ekle, that means like just like your, you know, sort of like what you put into the food.
- 23:42SPEAKER_02: Baking doesn't even really work like that.
- 23:44SPEAKER_02: Like you just have to follow directions.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: So, what what was the point that you were trying to make?
- 23:49SPEAKER_02: Basically, that like I keep I went in and I was like, oh man, let me look at all these like videos that I have saved if there's actually anything that I'm gonna make.
- 23:56SPEAKER_02: And then it took me back to this one time that I decided to to make these muffins.
- 24:03SPEAKER_02: I had a friend, shout out to Jeff, who during COVID made me this like four ingredient like banana muffins.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: And she's like, they're so easy, you just need like bananas, and then she gave me the other recipe or whatever.
- 24:14SPEAKER_02: And then as I'm scrolling through these baking videos, I started to unsave them because then I remembered when she sent me a recipe and I decided to not follow any of the recipe.
- 24:25SPEAKER_02: They're literally four ingredients, and she sent me all the steps like in a text message.
- 24:28SPEAKER_02: It can't be any easier than that, right?
- 24:30SPEAKER_02: It's like baking for dummies, i.e.
- 24:32SPEAKER_02: me.
- 24:33SPEAKER_02: Didn't follow their directions, added a whole bunch of things like flaxseed, decided I didn't have baking soda, so I put baking powder or vice versa.
- 24:41SPEAKER_02: Like I switched the two, and then I added a bunch of other things, and I didn't even have a baking, like a like um a muffin tin.
- 24:50SPEAKER_02: So I just put it in like a round baking dish.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was not good.
- 24:54SPEAKER_00: So so the original one was four ingredients and you still managed to mess it up.
- 24:58SPEAKER_02: Yeah, okay.
- 25:00SPEAKER_02: So then I unsaved all of the saved baking video.
- 25:03SPEAKER_02: That's good.
- 25:03SPEAKER_02: I don't think it's because I was like, it's not for me.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: I could do other things, I just decided I did make cookies successfully though, like you know, a while ago.
- 25:14SPEAKER_02: What it was a one-time thing, chocolate chip cookies.
- 25:17SPEAKER_02: Okay, but they were from scratch, so I was very proud of myself, and I did follow the recipe.
- 25:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, Baddy's friend one time that he went over to his friend's house, and his mom, she's not a cook, she does not like to cook, she doesn't know how to cook, but she's a good baker.
- 25:32SPEAKER_00: Okay, like she makes amazing desserts and cookies and whatever, and she had made these cookies, and Betty just loved them so much.
- 25:39SPEAKER_00: She's like, Mama, can you please make them?
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: So I get the recipe from her.
- 25:41SPEAKER_00: I take one look at it, I'm like, oh my god.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: And I'm like, I kept pushing it.
- 25:45SPEAKER_00: There's so many steps.
- 25:47SPEAKER_00: Did you have to brown the butter?
- 25:48SPEAKER_00: Dude, I don't know, I don't remember.
- 25:50SPEAKER_00: And then I I got and she actually gave me the recipe from a book she had, so she screenshotted it.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: Okay, that's nice.
- 25:55SPEAKER_00: Okay, so I went through it, like I kept avoiding it, and I finally got all the stuff and I did it, and I told him, enjoy it now, because I'm not doing this again.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: It was just too much.
- 26:04SPEAKER_00: But they were good, they turned out, they turned out well.
- 26:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but I think that that's the cool thing about baking is that if you follow the directions, no, I did, I did, I did.
- 26:12SPEAKER_02: I don't even know how we ended up here.
- 26:14SPEAKER_02: It's from the video of Zyhem.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: Welcome to the um like mind of a person with like, you know, as I would say with like ADHD or the ADD.
- 26:23SPEAKER_02: Your brain's just everywhere, all over all the time, all over the place.
- 26:26SPEAKER_02: But it's a fun and happy place to be in some cases.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I guess.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: I guess.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: Anything else you want to talk about?
- 26:31SPEAKER_00: No, I think that was.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: I mean, this is not like it's not really like a lot this episode, but I had to work this weekend.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: Last week I prepared better, but I just don't have it, guys.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: I'm sorry.
- 26:42SPEAKER_00: I don't have time.
- 26:43SPEAKER_02: It's something, right?
- 26:44SPEAKER_02: This is good.
- 26:45SPEAKER_02: Yes, at least I do, I do excuse me.
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: So I do um, I I do want to say that we we do have some fun episodes coming up.
- 26:55SPEAKER_02: I think it's nice when you guys like I think you guys enjoy when yes.
- 26:59SPEAKER_02: I think I met with a friend this week who is a uh therapist.
- 27:03SPEAKER_02: Like she's an actual a psychologist.
- 27:05SPEAKER_02: Sorry, because she like you know, that's the difference.
- 27:07SPEAKER_02: She's an MD.
- 27:09SPEAKER_02: So she's a psychologist or they're a doctor.
- 27:11SPEAKER_02: Are they an MD?
- 27:13SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have to ask this person.
- 27:14SPEAKER_00: We're gonna have to ask her.
- 27:16SPEAKER_02: Yeah, but um she um she's gonna come on and chat with us about like mental health and our community and why it matters and why we should advocate for it more and why it's something which should be something that we should talk about.
- 27:28SPEAKER_02: So I think it I think that's pretty great.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: So okay, yeah, that is that's good.
- 27:32SPEAKER_02: Something something on the horizon that should be fun and different.
- 27:36unknown: Right.
- 27:36SPEAKER_00: No, I like it.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: I like it too.
- 27:38SPEAKER_00: I'm like, why not?
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: Um, I just want to say that if you guys like us and you watch us, please share.
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: Subscribe and tell your friends about us, you know.
- 27:48SPEAKER_02: I feel like people do tell their friends about us.
- 27:51SPEAKER_02: Yeah, I think so.
- 27:53SPEAKER_02: I don't know, maybe they do, maybe they don't.
- 27:55SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 27:55SPEAKER_02: No, I think that's it.
- 27:57SPEAKER_02: Here's what it is, right?
- 27:58SPEAKER_02: So we can there is one thing that I um that I do want to talk about, adding to this episode.
- 28:02SPEAKER_02: I have to say that I'm proud of us.
- 28:05SPEAKER_02: Like we are really trying our best, right?
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and we're coming even though we don't have a lot of stuff to talk about today, but we still committed.
- 28:12SPEAKER_02: We said we'd come back after Ramadan.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: Um, oh my god, my foot is so asleep right now.
- 28:17SPEAKER_02: We'd come back after Ramadan, and we did, and we've like kept it going.
- 28:22SPEAKER_02: Uh, and I think the honestly, the goal for us is to just like come and hang out because otherwise, you know, otherwise, where are we gonna put all our like myths?
- 28:30SPEAKER_02: Like, there's gonna be no place to put like our, you know, hopes, dreams, anger.
- 28:35SPEAKER_02: I don't really have any fears right now.
- 28:37SPEAKER_02: Actually, I'm scared of the world if I have to be completely honest.
- 28:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 28:41SPEAKER_00: I think all of us are.
- 28:42SPEAKER_02: But yeah, I mean it's it's a it's a crazy place to exist.
- 28:45SPEAKER_02: And I like this because it's like um it's a tiny departure from reality, even if it's just for like 20 minutes.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: I mean that was the goal for us from the beginning.
- 28:55SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it was just a tiny departure from reality.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: I like it's like you guys, we're letting you in on our conversations if me and Hannah were FaceTiming.
- 29:02SPEAKER_02: That's pretty much what, yeah.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: I agree with you.
- 29:04SPEAKER_02: That's pretty much what it would be, is that we would just be like, you know, and I do love that looking we're in print we're in pajamas, right?
- 29:10SPEAKER_02: We're not gonna, we're not gonna have to hide the fact that we're in pajamas.
- 29:14SPEAKER_02: At least I'm not.
- 29:14SPEAKER_00: Lena's in her pajamas, but she's just I am and your hair is really nice today, mashallah.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 29:20SPEAKER_02: I actually just did it on Friday.
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I changed the color a little bit.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: I've decided to, yeah.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: Thank you.
- 29:26SPEAKER_00: I decided to, I just wish and it looks healthier at the bottom too.
- 29:29SPEAKER_02: It's yeah, the funny thing is, no, that's the funny part is we did not cut any, but I think it's uh I changed my shampoo and my conditioner.
- 29:37SPEAKER_02: And I think that that's uh it's like no, it's all over the place.
- 29:41SPEAKER_02: I it's different things every single, every single time, but this time it was a different shampoo and conditioner.
- 29:46SPEAKER_02: But I also think it's the purple shampoo and conditioner that my hairdresser uses that really makes a difference in the color.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: And I feel like it like seals your cuticles or something.
- 29:55SPEAKER_02: Your cuticles?
- 29:57SPEAKER_02: Like your hair follicles, cuticles, whatever they're called.
- 29:59SPEAKER_02: You know, like the bottom of your hair.
- 30:01SPEAKER_02: You know how sometimes you feel like it needs, yeah, I feel like it seals it for your ends, you mean?
- 30:05SPEAKER_02: Your ends.
- 30:06SPEAKER_02: And then I'm using I'm using the um this hair oil that my sister got uh while she was in Japan.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: That's a whole other funny story.
- 30:15SPEAKER_02: Um all the all the products that she bought while she was in Japan.
- 30:18SPEAKER_02: We went, her and I spent there was a day when she was there.
- 30:20SPEAKER_02: This is the most random episode.
- 30:23SPEAKER_02: Um yeah, when she was in Japan.
- 30:25SPEAKER_02: So, anyways, the hair oil is Fino.
- 30:26SPEAKER_02: It's Fino hair oil.
- 30:28SPEAKER_02: You can buy it here at like Tesla Life, you can buy it online.
- 30:30SPEAKER_02: But that hair oil, she bought me like the Supreme one or whatever, it's the white bottle of the white cap, but it just feels so good on your hair.
- 30:37SPEAKER_02: Um, but one of the days that she was there, she went to Don Quixote, which is like this big like if you took like CVS and Target and all of these big box stores and mushed them into one and like put a pharmacy in there, that would be Don Quixote.
- 30:54SPEAKER_02: And her and I were on FaceTime for like four hours, and she had the camera facing out into the store.
- 30:58SPEAKER_02: And I'd be like, Okay, buy this one.
- 31:00SPEAKER_02: Can you pick up some of that?
- 31:02SPEAKER_02: What's this shade?
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: Let's get very dedicated.
- 31:05SPEAKER_02: Yeah, man, Japanese kinkers like phenomenal.
- 31:08SPEAKER_02: And she got some of the best lip products that we've like ever used in our life while she was there.
- 31:15SPEAKER_02: Lip products, lip products, yeah.
- 31:17SPEAKER_02: Yeah, is this Besbusa?
- 31:18SPEAKER_02: She's coming to hang out.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: I wish.
- 31:20SPEAKER_02: She's like, no, she's she's doesn't have time for you guys.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: No, I love her, she's amazing.
- 31:26SPEAKER_02: Yeah, kill for her.
- 31:28SPEAKER_02: Except she wouldn't do the same, she'd probably just kill you.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: That's not true.
- 31:32SPEAKER_00: She would never she's too sweet.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: Anyway, wrap it up.
- 31:37SPEAKER_02: You're like, she's too sweet.
- 31:38SPEAKER_02: She wouldn't.
- 31:39SPEAKER_02: I feel like Bezbusa hates people.
- 31:41SPEAKER_02: No, she's so sweet.
- 31:44SPEAKER_02: You know, she's really nice.
- 31:45SPEAKER_02: I feel like she just hates people, like she doesn't like people, she's antisocial.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: No, she's okay.
- 31:50SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: She's okay with whoever comes over as long as you you approach her the right way.
- 31:55SPEAKER_00: Like, if you Oh, I don't even do that.
- 31:56SPEAKER_02: I just put my hand out and I just let her come.
- 31:58SPEAKER_02: And if she doesn't come, I'm like, okay, she'll be back in the middle.
- 32:00SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's how it is.
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: Then she'll come, she'll be nosy, and then she's she's not, yeah, she's not that scared as long as it's not like not a black.
- 32:06SPEAKER_02: Not scared, not scared.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: So you're just saying bitchy, right?
- 32:10SPEAKER_02: No, and so she's just like, I don't care for you.
- 32:12SPEAKER_02: Don't come for me until I come for you.
- 32:14SPEAKER_02: Like, well, yeah, she's the boss, she's definitely the boss for sure.
- 32:17SPEAKER_02: It's like she's like, please don't bug me.
- 32:19SPEAKER_00: Like, it's fine.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we can talk later.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: Her main person is Amjad, for sure.
- 32:26SPEAKER_02: Isn't it hilarious?
- 32:27SPEAKER_02: Yeah, because that he's I was gonna say he's the one person that was like, I don't want to bet, I don't want a pet, I don't want a pet.
- 32:33SPEAKER_02: And then now they're like buddies.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: No, like you don't understand.
- 32:37SPEAKER_00: That's like the third child he always wanted that I never gave him.
- 32:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 32:42SPEAKER_00: No, they're they're like this.
- 32:44SPEAKER_00: She sleeps next to him every day.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: That's hilarious.
- 32:47SPEAKER_02: I think that it, but it's always like that.
- 32:49SPEAKER_02: Like the person who doesn't want the pet the most, I feel like that would be me.
- 32:52SPEAKER_02: Because like everybody, like my kids keep asking for a pet, and I'm like, no, no, no.
- 32:57SPEAKER_02: It's a lot of responsibility.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: Like, what am I gonna do with this?
- 33:00SPEAKER_00: He's so like in love with her that when we leave, when we're all out of the house, like we go to dinner or something, yeah.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: He's like, guys, we have to hurry up, we have to come back because I don't want to leave her alone this long.
- 33:09SPEAKER_00: And I'm just like, dude, it's like two hours, like, chill.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: And it's just she's a cat.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: She's a cat.
- 33:14SPEAKER_00: She's probably sleeping, and then like, God forbid, because he has a chair for her right by the by the window, right?
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and God forbid he comes home and he finds her there.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: She's like, I he's like, I told you guys, she's just waiting.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: Look at her.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: I'm like, dude, she just woke up probably when she heard the car, like, chill, okay, relax.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: Like, that's how obsessed he is with her.
- 33:32SPEAKER_02: I also think it's it's it's really funny when they get like this because you're like, I thought you didn't want a pet.
- 33:36SPEAKER_02: You said you didn't like her.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's like, No, I love her.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: No, everybody's her, like she's got like five different kinds of food because he's like, she needs to have options, like variety, yeah.
- 33:47SPEAKER_00: Okay, he's like, she needs to have options, okay.
- 33:50SPEAKER_00: Um, yeah, like it's crazy.
- 33:52SPEAKER_00: But he does that with you guys, so I don't know why you're surprised.
- 33:55SPEAKER_00: That's true, that's true.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he does.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: Anyway, halas, let's wrap this up.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: Well, this was fun though.
- 34:01SPEAKER_00: It was, it was, it was.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: Hopefully, you know, people don't get bored.
