- 1:22SPEAKER_01: I'm glad to be here.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: And hello to all your moms out there that are listening.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: Yes, so glad to have you here.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: And so you are talking positive informations for moms today.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: And I love this topic because, you know, I know as moms and grandmoms, we um are the ones encouraging others.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: And so we need encouragement too.
- 1:41SPEAKER_00: So I'm just gonna let you jump right in and share with our listeners today.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: Great, thank you.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Thank you.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I um, you know, I just I I came up with these, they're they're all scriptures, so they're you know, nothing that I like came up with on my own.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: But uh, as a young mom, I wanted to hear this.
- 2:02SPEAKER_01: I wanted someone to speak these affirmations over me.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: So I want to do that for your listeners today.
- 2:08SPEAKER_01: And the first one I just want to say is God sees you.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: You know, there's so many times that moms, as moms, we are racing from here to there, and uh you just feel like you're pouring all your attention into the kids and the husband and the house, and and you forget about you, and it seems like everybody forgets about you.
- 2:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but that's not true.
- 2:34SPEAKER_01: God sees you, and I I want moms to do that.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: They see you go carpooling from destination to destination, they see you during those midnight feedings and the next day when you're exhausted.
- 2:48SPEAKER_01: They see the single mom.
- 2:50SPEAKER_01: I don't know if you have some, if there's some single moms out there, that you just have this heavy load of juggling a job and managing house responsibilities and trying to be the parent, the husband, you know, the mom and the dad to your children.
- 3:06SPEAKER_01: Um, he sees the sacrifices moms make.
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: So I just want the this first one is God sees you, mom.
- 3:15SPEAKER_01: And uh just say that to yourself, God sees me.
- 3:18SPEAKER_01: And I think that's just a powerful thing.
- 3:21SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: Another one I um I had to as a young mom is um I looked, uh I got married, I guess, 30, about 31, um, almost 31.
- 3:37SPEAKER_01: And um I I looked for my husband to satisfy me.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: And then I looked to my children to satisfy me, and I looked to money to satisfy me, and I looked to, you know, the the bigger house to to satisfy me.
- 3:52SPEAKER_01: And I finally um came upon this verse.
- 3:55SPEAKER_01: I I but they never did, of course.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: They do temporarily, and all of them can be good things, but I realized that only Jesus can satisfy me, only Jesus can fill that hole in your heart.
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: And I came upon this verse one day.
- 4:12SPEAKER_01: Um, it's Psalm 90, 14, and it says, Satisfy me with your loving kindness that I might sing for joy and be glad all my days.
- 4:22SPEAKER_01: And Karen, honestly, I probably prayed that for at least two years because I just desperately needed uh that hole in my heart to be filled, and he did.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: It was over a period of time, but I I now get my satisfaction in Jesus and my time spent with him.
- 4:42SPEAKER_01: So I want moms to know that Jesus is the one that will satisfy you.
- 4:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah, another one is um as a young married uh couple, um we I had worked 10 years and got married and had kids in my 30s, a little bit later than most moms during that time.
- 5:09SPEAKER_01: And um during that, this particular season in there, I was pregnant with my third child.
- 5:17SPEAKER_01: My husband had gone through uh like a job a year.
- 5:21SPEAKER_01: And um, and this particular season, he was in an all-commission job.
- 5:27SPEAKER_01: And uh he went on a sales call and he got in a car accident and totaled the car.
- 5:34SPEAKER_01: So we had to, we took what we got from insurance to buy this old truck um because we didn't have hardly any savings at that point, and the truck broke down three times.
- 5:46SPEAKER_01: It had to be towed, and you know, of course, it has to be fixed so he can get to places.
- 5:53SPEAKER_01: Well, we were just about at the end of our our um our finances at that point, and then um, and one of his paychecks was 19 cents.
- 6:08SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, we still have this the check on honestly.
- 6:13SPEAKER_01: We never cashed it, but it just added, you know, insult to injury.
- 6:18SPEAKER_01: And um anyway, one day I was home and we had been praying about this as a couple, um praying and actually fasting um during this time.
- 6:28SPEAKER_01: And this lady called up out of the blue from our church and she chatted for a bit, and then she said, Sally, she said, um, my husband and I, um, we just bought a new car and we have a used car here.
- 6:43SPEAKER_01: It's in good shape.
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: And she um she said, you know, we've been praying that we want to to give this car away to somebody who needs it.
- 6:52SPEAKER_01: And both my husband and I, we keep your name keeps coming up.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 6:56SPEAKER_01: And then she said, Do you need a car?
- 7:00SPEAKER_01: Oh, and and I just wept.
- 7:03SPEAKER_01: I I wept and I wept.
- 7:05SPEAKER_01: And then she said, Oh, and you need to know it's a stick shift.
- 7:08SPEAKER_01: I'm like, I can drive a stick shift, and um, but God provided during that season in unjust amazing ways.
- 7:17SPEAKER_01: I mean, that was one um moms would bring us their baby clothes, they they brought us maternity clothes, um, we got refunds from doctors' offices.
- 7:29SPEAKER_01: Like, who gets that?
- 7:31SPEAKER_01: It was just unbelievable.
- 7:33SPEAKER_01: So, I want moms to know that um, and this is a verse in um in Philippians, that our God will provide all our needs according to our his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
- 7:47SPEAKER_01: Now that that's kind of a key word there is the word needs, not all our wants.
- 7:51SPEAKER_01: I know we want our wants, but but all our needs.
- 7:55SPEAKER_01: So um, I just want moms to hear that if you are in that season where you don't think that you're gonna make it or your finances are just dwindling, um, I want you to to believe that that God will provide your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus.
- 8:17SPEAKER_01: And that might necessarily be financial either.
- 8:20SPEAKER_01: It might be that that whatever else that's satisfaction to.
- 8:25SPEAKER_01: Um, one other one I want to um to include is is um you are clothed in strength and dignity.
- 8:36SPEAKER_01: I um there might be a mom out there right now that's just clothed in baby spit.
- 8:44SPEAKER_01: Or the laundry isn't done.
- 8:47SPEAKER_01: So you're pulling out of the the laundry basket, or you're digging way into the back of your drawer and coming out with a you know a college uh hoodie or something, and or maybe you just had a baby and you don't fit in your clothes anymore, and you're just this in-between stage, or you just haven't lost that baby, that baby weight.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: And um, so I want you to hear that you are clothed in strength and dignity, and these are some of the finest clothes that uh that you will ever wear.
- 9:24SPEAKER_01: And I also want you to know that um they come in a one size fits all, so that's an extra bonus for you.
- 9:32SPEAKER_01: But uh, so those are just four of them that to get uh moms um just to get have some to speak that over, to speak that over them, and to start believing that God does see you, that Jesus will satisfy, that every longing that you have, that our God is an extravagant God, and He will provide your needs, and that um you are clothed in strength and dignity.
- 10:02SPEAKER_01: And that's a verse I didn't mention that from Proverbs 31, 24.
- 10:07SPEAKER_01: So um I hope your moms out there will hear that and just hold that close to their heart and and believe that that um about themselves.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: Yes, these are beautiful.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: Thank you so much for sharing, Sally, and the Bible verses that go along with it.
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm a firm believer and standing on the word of God.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: There is power in that.
- 10:27SPEAKER_00: And so I know that these will be a great encouragement to many moms in different seasons.
- 10:32SPEAKER_00: So thank you so much for being here, Sally.
- 10:35SPEAKER_00: And I just want to encourage you listeners, um, we'll have links to Sally's website in the show notes.

- 11:02SPEAKER_00: Is that is that right?
- 11:04SPEAKER_01: Yeah, sure.
