Transcript
- 1:24Speaker 1: You'll decide to go live or directly after the game.
- 1:26Speaker 1: A little different situation than a typical Saturday, I guess
- 1:30Speaker 1: you could say Saturday game. Sometimes kind of be at
- 1:33Speaker 1: the stadium with being home and with this weather kind
- 1:36Speaker 1: of being unpredictable with the hurricane, we kind of decided
- 1:39Speaker 1: to go live. Hope everyone that's in the panhandle area
- 1:42Speaker 1: is safe and all that type of deal. Let you
- 1:45Speaker 1: guys filter in a little bit. Hopefully you guys evacuate
- 1:49Speaker 1: if you are in the Pensacola, Panama City, Dustin Miramar
- 1:52Speaker 1: Beach area.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Hopefully, you guys got it.
- 1:55Speaker 1: If not, if you did stay, hopefully the storm isn't
- 1:59Speaker 1: too bad on your end.
- 2:05Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Ended up losing 44-20 to the Louisville Cardinals. I told
- 2:14Speaker 1: you guys before the season started. It's crazy. My lights
- 2:19Speaker 1: started flicking a little bit. We'll get to that point
- 2:21Speaker 1: in a little bit. 44-20, lost to Louisville. Start off,
- 2:27Speaker 1: there's the tale of two houses. Not necessarily two houses,
- 2:31Speaker 1: the tale of two cities.
- 2:33Speaker 3: Dr.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Jekyll and Dr. Hyde. Dr. Jekyll, Dr.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Hyde, man, pretty much as far as how that game
- 2:45Speaker 1: played out. We started off real hot, kind of similar
- 2:48Speaker 1: to Virginia. I thought we were starting to become a
- 2:51Speaker 1: little bit consistent. It was 14-0 with a chance to
- 2:53Speaker 1: go up 21-0. With fourth and goal from the two,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and I agree with the play call to actually go
- 3:00Speaker 1: for it. I know a lot of people saying kick
- 3:04Speaker 1: the field goal, go up 17 in that situation. I mean,
- 3:08Speaker 1: it's fourth and goal. I think you're on a two-yard line,
- 3:11Speaker 1: two-and-a-half-yard line. I would have went for it as well,
- 3:13Speaker 1: just being in that situation. Then if you don't get it,
- 3:17Speaker 1: so to speak, you got to drive 97 yards. end
- 3:20Speaker 1: up not getting it. I don't agree with the play call. Well,
- 3:22Speaker 1: I don't agree with the play call even though the
- 3:24Speaker 1: play was still there. Even the broadcaster mentioned a point
- 3:27Speaker 1: as far as it was too long developing, right? The
- 3:29Speaker 1: play action, the chroma, whoever didn't get the ball out.
- 3:32Speaker 1: If you're going to motion that receiver across, as soon
- 3:35Speaker 1: as that ball is snapped, you pretty much got to
- 3:36Speaker 1: get that ball out in order for it to have
- 3:38Speaker 1: a chance to be completed because the numbers aren't in
- 3:41Speaker 1: your favor in the first place with it being a three-on-three.
- 3:44Speaker 1: The defensive back from Louisville was kind of trailing Boggs No,
- 3:48Speaker 1: I'm sorry, not Boggs.
- 3:49Speaker 2: Jason Lopez.
- 3:51Speaker 1: So yeah, you gotta get that ball out quick. You
- 3:53Speaker 1: can't play action and make it a long, developing play.
- 3:57Speaker 1: It has to happen quickly. So I don't agree with
- 3:59Speaker 1: the play calling and shit. Right after that, those guys
- 4:02Speaker 1: go 97 yards to the very next play. The very
- 4:09Speaker 1: next play, Isaac Brown goes 97 yards to the house,
- 4:12Speaker 1: literally untouched.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And the rest is history.
- 4:19Speaker 1: And it's wild because, you know, Mike Norvell is typically
- 4:21Speaker 1: on the bad side of history, right, when it comes
- 4:24Speaker 1: to FSU stuff. That was the longest play Florida State
- 4:28Speaker 1: has ever given up in program history, 97 yards. Again,
- 4:31Speaker 1: Mike Norvell typically is on the bad side of history
- 4:34Speaker 1: when it comes to FSU. And the rain just started
- 4:38Speaker 1: to pour from there. 35 straight points for Louisville, literally
- 4:41Speaker 1: 35 straight points.
- 4:41Speaker 2: 35 straight points. As bad as the defense was, and
- 4:48Speaker 2: it was bad. Man, that offense was bad.
- 4:50Speaker 1: It was terrible as well during that stretch. But 537
- 4:55Speaker 1: total yards, 397 rushing yards, bro.
- 4:57Speaker 2: 397 rushing yards.
- 4:58Speaker 1: Fucking Isaac Brown is, I'm sorry, Isaac Brown is still running.
- 5:05Speaker 1: This dude had 235 yards and two touchdowns, man. He's
- 5:08Speaker 1: literally still running. They had six rushing touchdowns. Six.
- 5:11Speaker 3: Six.
- 5:12Speaker 1: 397 rushing yards, 400 rushing yards, and six rushing touchdowns.
- 5:23Speaker 1: And then, of course, the defense. Well, the secondary really
- 5:25Speaker 1: had to do too much because he ran the ball
- 5:26Speaker 1: so much. But whenever we had to have them in
- 5:29Speaker 1: passing situations, Wayne McCoy did his thing. Three catches for
- 5:32Speaker 1: 78 yards. Had a few big plays down the field.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Would have had a touchdown. Would have had a touchdown
- 5:38Speaker 1: if it wasn't for, I think, his last catch if
- 5:43Speaker 1: It wasn't for the holding call because he was wide open.
- 5:45Speaker 1: Thibodeau kept running with the defensive back when he just played,
- 5:48Speaker 1: you know, typical coverage and not held him this, that,
- 5:51Speaker 1: and the third. That would have been the touchdown and
- 5:52Speaker 1: would have been striking him down for another six points. But, yeah,
- 5:56Speaker 1: Brian Brown ate Tony White's lunch. And it was the
- 5:58Speaker 1: same thing that Alabama did, right, as far as running
- 6:01Speaker 1: the football. They attacked the edges. Like, we have no one.
- 6:03Speaker 1: We have no edge setters. There's no one to set
- 6:05Speaker 1: the edge for FSU. It's either two things. We either
- 6:08Speaker 1: come soft on the edge and it creates the lane
- 6:11Speaker 1: or we kind of ole and kind of whiff it.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You guys know what I'm talking about. You kind of
- 6:17Speaker 1: whiff that block and not really take it on with
- 6:18Speaker 1: your shoulder and creating that leverage on your outside. You
- 6:21Speaker 1: kind of whiff and lay it a little bit, which
- 6:24Speaker 1: creates a huge gap. That's literally all they did on
- 6:27Speaker 1: the outside. Just gassed us within those stretch plays and
- 6:30Speaker 1: things like that. Offensively, man, after those three drives, offensively,
- 6:38Speaker 1: after those first three drives, we literally came It was
- 6:42Speaker 1: nothing close. We didn't score like a full three quarters,
- 6:46Speaker 1: close to a full three quarters. We went through, excuse me,
- 6:48Speaker 1: went through, we didn't score points for almost three, three,
- 6:53Speaker 1: four quarters at that first drive. After those first three drives,
- 6:55Speaker 1: our last 14 points was what, like two minutes left
- 6:58Speaker 1: in the first quarter.
- 6:59Speaker 2: We didn't score.
- 7:00Speaker 1: We didn't get the 20th, the 20th, the 20th, um,
- 7:11Speaker 1: Hold on, I'm getting your damn text messages all late
- 7:13Speaker 1: right now, my bad.
- 7:17Speaker 2: Lost my train of thought reading your text messages. My apologies. But, yeah,
- 7:20Speaker 2: we ended up.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Just falling on offense, man, pretty much going three straight
- 7:26Speaker 1: quarters without scoring points. Just a combination of a lot
- 7:28Speaker 1: of things on offense. The offensive line was terrible. Did
- 7:31Speaker 1: a really good job, a really bad job of pass block.
- 7:33Speaker 1: I thought we did a good job of run blocking initially,
- 7:36Speaker 1: especially within the middle of the Louisville defense. We kind
- 7:40Speaker 1: of got what we wanted. But once, that's another thing, offensively,
- 7:43Speaker 1: we kind of got what we wanted to do once
- 7:45Speaker 1: Louisville kind of started pouring on to us. Receivers, bad drops.
- 7:50Speaker 1: Makai Dan's got a few bad drops. Even on that
- 7:52Speaker 1: last touchdown he had, it wasn't a clean catch. We
- 7:55Speaker 1: had to struggle with that in order for it to
- 7:56Speaker 1: be reviewed. And then Deuce, like I, Deuce, I don't know, bro.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Like it's, like you've been missing, man, on the back
- 8:05Speaker 1: of the milk carton. catches you brought down, a lot
- 8:09Speaker 1: of tough contested catches that you had last year, that
- 8:12Speaker 1: you would make last year. You know, you've been dropping
- 8:14Speaker 1: nose and just, it hasn't been good aside of the
- 8:16Speaker 1: Alabama game. And the broadcaster brought up a good-ass point, too,
- 8:19Speaker 1: as far as I don't think Norvell and the scheme
- 8:22Speaker 1: is doing you any favors because every ball we try
- 8:25Speaker 1: to give you is pretty much, aside from a few
- 8:27Speaker 1: slants and things like that, but pretty much it's like downfield.
- 8:30Speaker 1: We don't emphasize getting you the ball across the middle
- 8:33Speaker 1: of the field and things like that. It's We've been
- 8:36Speaker 1: pretty much one-dimensional, so to speak, and that goes to
- 8:38Speaker 1: Mike Norvell and the play calling.
- 8:40Speaker 2: But, shit, 44-20.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Louisville, we thought Virginia was a tipping sign, but it
- 8:47Speaker 1: was pretty much, if you guys remember last year, that
- 8:51Speaker 1: Wake Forest went out of nowhere. We dominated Wake Forest.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I wonder where the hell this team come from, and
- 8:54Speaker 1: Wake Forest is a pretty good team. It was a
- 8:56Speaker 1: home game at that. That's pretty much the same thing
- 8:59Speaker 1: we saw last week with Virginia. That's what we wanted
- 9:01Speaker 1: to kind of hold judgment to see how we would
- 9:03Speaker 1: look on the road and sure enough, the true Florida
- 9:06Speaker 1: state team, um, showed up as we haven't won the
- 9:09Speaker 1: road game since 2023, a true road game since 2023,
- 9:12Speaker 1: you know, knocking, knocking down my damn spear pretty much
- 9:18Speaker 1: indictment of the Florida state season thus far.
- 9:20Speaker 2: Man, might not be 10 years.
- 9:21Speaker 1: It's just been that type of, that type of situation,
- 9:24Speaker 1: but not having won a true road game since the
- 9:26Speaker 1: Florida game, 2023 going on three, four years, going on three,
- 9:28Speaker 1: four years. Um, And I think I said before the season,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I think this season, for the sake of it, it's
- 9:39Speaker 1: going to go either good or it's going to go good.
- 9:41Speaker 2: And I really believe it's either going to go good
- 9:44Speaker 2: or it's going to go good.
- 9:44Speaker 1: I feel like this was the kiss of death for
- 9:46Speaker 1: Mike Norvell. No road win since 2023. This guy dominated
- 9:51Speaker 1: tonight versus Louisville. You got Miami on deck next week,
- 9:55Speaker 1: and we know what Mario is going to do. He
- 9:57Speaker 1: has what he wants to do, rather.
- 9:59Speaker 4: He has.
- 10:00Speaker 3: the.
- 10:03Speaker 1: Stars are in line in some night game against Miami.
- 10:05Speaker 1: He's going to have the house pack as far as
- 10:08Speaker 1: recruits and that type of deal. I think he's one
- 10:10Speaker 1: of the biggest recruits in Miami history or something along
- 10:12Speaker 1: those lines as far as five stars and four stars combined.
- 10:15Speaker 1: So they're going to try to embarrass us down in Miami.
- 10:17Speaker 1: And then you have a bye week after that. We're
- 10:19Speaker 1: currently with three and three. Get whooped by Miami. You're
- 10:21Speaker 1: sitting at three and four. You have Clemson coming into
- 10:24Speaker 1: Dote Campbell. That could go either way. Like, long story short,
- 10:28Speaker 1: I don't see us winning eight games. Like, you aren't
- 10:30Speaker 1: seeing eight games. You're three and three right now. Looking
- 10:34Speaker 1: at three and four after Miami with one, two, three, four, five.
- 10:39Speaker 1: With six games left. Three and four after Miami with
- 10:42Speaker 1: six games left. Lose to Clemson. to win Clemson as well. Say,
- 10:46Speaker 1: for instance, you beat Clemson. You're 4-4 after the Miami
- 10:49Speaker 1: game and Clemson game. You have Boston College, which is
- 10:53Speaker 1: a road game. Boston College versus a road game. I mean,
- 10:58Speaker 1: you can beat Boston College at the same time.
- 11:00Speaker 2: It's a road game. You go to Pitt. Road game.
- 11:04Speaker 2: Another road game at Pitt.
- 11:05Speaker 1: And Pitt is undefeated right now, which we don't know
- 11:08Speaker 1: how they'll look outside of Mason-Hindle.
- 11:10Speaker 2: Then you got NC State and Florida.
- 11:12Speaker 1: Florida's going to do the same thing that I thought
- 11:15Speaker 1: it was going to do the same thing that Louisville
- 11:19Speaker 1: did tonight, man.
- 11:20Speaker 2: They're going to run the ball, man. You know, we
- 11:23Speaker 2: want to say that Missouri has the blueprint.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Yeah, motherfuckers, teams may have the blueprint to stop Florida,
- 11:28Speaker 1: but we don't have the goddamn ingredients to stop Florida.
- 11:30Speaker 2: The blueprint is there. Hell no! Exactly.
- 11:34Speaker 1: Hell no, motherfucker. We ain't got the ingredients to stop Florida.
- 11:36Speaker 1: We don't have, when I say the ingredients, we have
- 11:38Speaker 1: the players, the coach, and everything included. the smarts to
- 11:41Speaker 1: put guys in certain situations. We're not going to be
- 11:43Speaker 1: able to stop the edge. So, yeah, it may be
- 11:45Speaker 1: the blueprint to stop Florida, but it's not the blueprint
- 11:47Speaker 1: for Florida State to stop Florida.
- 11:48Speaker 2: So that's going to be another L as well.
- 11:50Speaker 1: And, hell, you're looking at a team that got it
- 11:52Speaker 1: within three straight years, haven't beaten any rival, Miami, Florida,
- 11:57Speaker 1: Clemson included.
- 11:58Speaker 2: You beat Bama last year. Whoop-dee-doo. Didn't really capitalize on that.
- 12:04Speaker 1: So what have you done within the last three years
- 12:06Speaker 1: as far as, you know, since that ACC championship? Looking
- 12:10Speaker 1: at six or seven, maybe I'm at a stretch. I'm
- 12:13Speaker 1: going to say six wins probably for this team. I
- 12:14Speaker 1: say six wins. Seven would be an absolute stretch.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Exactly. Shout out to the Don, Donald.
- 12:21Speaker 1: But, yeah, seven wins is going to be a stretch,
- 12:23Speaker 1: and eight wins is pretty much not as instant for me, man.
- 12:26Speaker 1: That's just where I'm at with it. But I'm going
- 12:28Speaker 1: to probably open up the phone line pretty quickly and
- 12:29Speaker 1: see what you guys are thinking. I know y'all want
- 12:31Speaker 1: to get y'all takes off and talk, man. I want
- 12:32Speaker 1: to definitely let you guys do your thing. So let's
- 12:36Speaker 1: open the call lines up and get it going, man,
- 12:38Speaker 1: because this is some bullshit.
- 12:42Speaker 3: TJ.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Oh, my God, man. You got to, bro, you got to.
- 12:47Speaker 2: God damn, man. How many is this going to be, bro?
- 12:50Speaker 5: Man, they got my other Twitter account, man. So, for
- 12:53Speaker 5: all the listeners, I live in Louisville. I'm leaving the
- 12:57Speaker 5: game with two Louisville fans. Let me tell you this.
- 13:00Speaker 5: Y'all got to fire this, man. What are we doing, man?
- 13:03Speaker 5: I ain't even excited for Saturdays no more, man.
- 13:07Speaker 6: It's a drag. I'd rather go to work than watch him.
- 13:10Speaker 6: He's pathetic.
- 13:12Speaker 3: We was up 14-0 and about to score.
- 13:14Speaker 5: CJ, when I sent you that image on Twitter, y'all
- 13:19Speaker 5: don't understand.
- 13:19Speaker 6: How quiet it was. They were ready to go home. Look,
- 13:24Speaker 6: they was yelling at their kids.
- 13:26Speaker 5: I'm sitting there. I'm over doing the chop at people's face,
- 13:29Speaker 5: talking mad stuff.
- 13:30Speaker 6: I can't cuss. I ain't going to mess your money up.
- 13:32Speaker 3: They telling kids to sit down.
- 13:34Speaker 5: They drinking Natty Light or whatever they getting drunk off of.
- 13:37Speaker 5: Everybody yelling at their wife. People ain't about to have
- 13:39Speaker 5: sex tonight. I was like, look, we about to blow
- 13:41Speaker 5: these kids up. Man, that man ran that play. I
- 13:45Speaker 5: looked at my homeboys like, man, get me the fuck
- 13:47Speaker 5: out of here, man. I don't want to go home.
- 13:49Speaker 2: And then the next play to Lopez, man, I'm just.
- 13:51Speaker 6: Like, look, I know he a freshman.
- 13:53Speaker 3: He cool.
- 13:54Speaker 5: His mama probably cute. You know, he's Latino, and I
- 13:57Speaker 5: got a Latino girl. But anyway, like, why don't we
- 14:00Speaker 5: try to get a true freshman?
- 14:01Speaker 6: Get him out of Chroma.
- 14:03Speaker 5: Like, he was out there looking like old OJ Simpson.
- 14:06Speaker 5: And then, dog, man, the boat race came on. Then
- 14:09Speaker 5: everybody came up to me, CJ, and I got my
- 14:10Speaker 5: FSU sweater on. They talking stuff to me, dog. I
- 14:14Speaker 5: can't—drunk—this old drunk white man talking stuff to me. I
- 14:17Speaker 5: wanted to punch him in the jaw, but I ain't
- 14:19Speaker 5: had no bail money on me, so I couldn't beat
- 14:21Speaker 5: him up. It's just— we in traffic right now.
- 14:23Speaker 6: I'm hungry. I want a 12-piece, man.
- 14:26Speaker 5: Like, I'm just— it' s just sad, man. I hate— I hate— I hate
- 14:30Speaker 5: all the players, man. Like, the Desirs are pathetic. I'm
- 14:34Speaker 5: watching them, and all the plays are open. So I'm not,
- 14:38Speaker 5: you know, I'm a basketball guy, CJ.
- 14:39Speaker 6: I'm looking like, throw the ball. He's open.
- 14:43Speaker 7: Daniel's holding the ball.
- 14:45Speaker 2: Man, look, see, we're firing.
- 14:48Speaker 5: If I saw, look, I mean, if I see Norvell
- 14:50Speaker 5: right now, I would jump out this truck.
- 14:52Speaker 6: I'm in a F-150 truck. I would jump out and
- 14:54Speaker 6: fight him. That's how mad I am, CJ. I hate
- 14:57Speaker 6: this team.
- 14:58Speaker 5: I hate him. If I hadn't been a fan of
- 15:00Speaker 5: FSU for 40 years, 40, 40 years.
- 15:03Speaker 6: I go jump on Georgia's bandwagon, but I can't.
- 15:06Speaker 2: Bring Jimbo back.
- 15:07Speaker 6: I don't care. Anybody but this guy. Bring back Willie.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Where's Willie at?
- 15:13Speaker 5: I'd rather have Willie than this, man.
- 15:15Speaker 6: This is ridiculous.
- 15:16Speaker 7: That's it, man.
- 15:18Speaker 6: Thank you, CJ, for letting me talk. I'm hungry.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Appreciate you for joining, bro.
- 15:22Speaker 1: I know you go to every time Florida State plays Louisville,
- 15:25Speaker 1: you definitely go to the games.
- 15:26Speaker 6: That's the only game I get to go to.
- 15:27Speaker 2: They suck.
- 15:30Speaker 7: That's it, man. Have a good show, man.
- 15:31Speaker 6: I'm going to hit you in the super chat. Shout
- 15:33Speaker 6: out to my man Drew Paul.
- 15:33Speaker 8: I don't know where you at, but shout out to you.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Appreciate you, bro. Much love.
- 15:38Speaker 1: We got Brandon from Louisville. Let's switch it over, man.
- 15:40Speaker 1: I know you guys don't want to talk that shit tonight, man.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Let's hang out a little bit.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Izzy, what's good? Got you muted, home.
- 15:46Speaker 3: That's... Izzy, don't unmute. We can switch to Rogue, Noel.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Rogue, let's do it. Yo, you can hear me?
- 16:00Speaker 7: What's going on, CJ?
- 16:01Speaker 2: Oh, we got you. What's good, bro? Talk to me.
- 16:03Speaker 2: How you feeling? Man, listen here, man.
- 16:07Speaker 9: I'm taking another shot of Don for that bullshit I
- 16:10Speaker 9: just done seen, man.
- 16:11Speaker 2: Either way it go, this bottle got to get empty
- 16:13Speaker 2: one way.
- 16:14Speaker 9: It was either going to be in celebration or delegation.
- 16:17Speaker 9: Because look at here. That shit, what I just seen,
- 16:20Speaker 9: is a bunch of... Hey, it's just like the movie.
- 16:23Speaker 6: You're nutless.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Ain't a bit of fight in you. You know what
- 16:26Speaker 2: I mean?
- 16:27Speaker 6: We got to coach that nutless.
- 16:30Speaker 9: In God's green earth, I say 95% of coaches that's
- 16:34Speaker 9: on the two-yard line.
- 16:36Speaker 2: Four fucking down, kick the field goal, take the points.
- 16:40Speaker 2: Kick the field goal, take the points.
- 16:43Speaker 9: Mm-hmm.
- 16:43Speaker 2: Keep going. Keep going.
- 16:46Speaker 9: And then, like, motherfucker, everybody seen the movie Major League.
- 16:51Speaker 9: Tony White, Pink Slip need to be in his locker tonight.
- 16:54Speaker 9: Soon as his ass get off the plane.
- 16:56Speaker 10: Pink Slip. Pink Slip for him. Pink Slip for Norvell.
- 16:59Speaker 10: Pink Slip for the Desire Twins. Pink Slip for Daniel Lyons.
- 17:04Speaker 10: Pink Slip for the whole, everybody except for Wynn. Wynn
- 17:07Speaker 10: be doing his job. I'm going to give him a pass.
- 17:09Speaker 10: My boy is a freshman. Everybody else, man, where your
- 17:13Speaker 10: balls at? Where your balls at? You're a reflection of
- 17:16Speaker 10: your coach. And, man, look at here.
- 17:18Speaker 9: I don't know how long, I don't know what this
- 17:20Speaker 9: man got on the administration to be a Seminole for
- 17:24Speaker 9: this damn long.
- 17:26Speaker 2: Like, let's have that same willing energy. Let's have that
- 17:29Speaker 2: Willie energy.
- 17:30Speaker 9: And look, Willie, I'm going to give Willie, he sucked ass,
- 17:33Speaker 9: but listen, if Norvell sucked ass too, let's.
- 17:37Speaker 2: Fire him like y'all did Willie.
- 17:39Speaker 9: But no, we give him an extension because he had
- 17:41Speaker 9: an outlier year.
- 17:43Speaker 2: Nah, fuck that.
- 17:44Speaker 9: We Florida State, I've been a Florida State fan since
- 17:47Speaker 9: I came out my daddy nutsack. And that was in 1987.
- 17:51Speaker 9: You get what I'm saying? So all I knew, and
- 17:53Speaker 9: I'm 39, all I knew was dominance.
- 17:56Speaker 2: This shit is embarrassing, man. This shit is embarrassing.
- 18:00Speaker 6: They ass got to go.
- 18:01Speaker 2: They got to go, bro.
- 18:02Speaker 9: Like, this shit.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Bro, CJ, listen.
- 18:06Speaker 9: As long as you've been a Florida State fan, bro,
- 18:08Speaker 9: our defense has been what?
- 18:11Speaker 2: Dominant, bro. Dominant, bro.
- 18:13Speaker 9: I would fire everybody on the defense except.
- 18:16Speaker 2: For Ernie Sims.
- 18:17Speaker 9: I would tell Ernie Sims, do what you know best.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Because guess what?
- 18:21Speaker 9: You are a baby of Andrews, of Mickey. So you're
- 18:26Speaker 9: going to know what that shit look like.
- 18:27Speaker 2: You probably find some people that you've seen in practice.
- 18:29Speaker 9: Like, damn, he a dog. You know what I'm saying?
- 18:32Speaker 9: Tony White, I don't know. You look like a goddamn
- 18:35Speaker 9: butterball Buddha.
- 18:36Speaker 2: You feel me?
- 18:37Speaker 1: Like.
- 18:38Speaker 9: Bro, you don't got no intensity. Mike Norvell, you're not yelling,
- 18:41Speaker 9: getting on nobody's ass. Like, bro, where the ball's at?
- 18:44Speaker 2: That's all I'm saying. And I'm going to leave it
- 18:46Speaker 2: at that, bro.
- 18:47Speaker 7: I appreciate you.
- 18:48Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying? Shout out to Dope Talk.
- 18:50Speaker 9: Y'all make sure y'all smash that like button. I'm about
- 18:53Speaker 9: to take another shot.
- 18:54Speaker 6: Because guess what?
- 18:55Speaker 9: Don't nobody over there got no balls, man.
- 18:58Speaker 6: Ain't nobody.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Ain't nobody.
- 19:00Speaker 9: Getting on nobody's ass except for Jones.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I seen number 10. I seen him yelling at a
- 19:04Speaker 2: couple of people.
- 19:05Speaker 9: But, see, we in the era of baby-ass motherfuckers who, oh, man,
- 19:09Speaker 9: I don't know who you think you yelling at, bitch.
- 19:11Speaker 2: I'm yelling at you. I need you to do your job.
- 19:14Speaker 9: And that shit is not that hard. Y'all got talent.
- 19:19Speaker 11: Man, oh, don't even get me.
- 19:20Speaker 9: Before I end it, before I end it, bro, don't
- 19:23Speaker 9: get me started on Ashton Daniels' slow foot, slow read,
- 19:27Speaker 9: and one side of the field ass, bro.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Like, that shit is smoking mirrors.
- 19:32Speaker 9: That he can, that he, yeah, okay, we know you
- 19:34Speaker 9: can rush. We know you can run. But it's slow
- 19:37Speaker 9: as shit, bro, a little bit. And then on top
- 19:40Speaker 9: of that, bro, we need you to read these fields.
- 19:41Speaker 9: We got these dogs out here that can that can
- 19:44Speaker 9: really catch the ball for real like really catch the
- 19:47Speaker 9: ball for real but yo you it's supposed to be
- 19:49Speaker 9: one one thousand two one thousand three ball out that's
- 19:52Speaker 9: what I always taught ever since part one of you
- 19:55Speaker 9: get what I'm saying and I'm gonna leave it off
- 19:57Speaker 9: at there sorry for the rant about to take.
- 19:58Speaker 2: Another shot take another shot man take one for me
- 20:01Speaker 2: too dog for sure I'm gonna take three on I
- 20:05Speaker 2: like it for sure.
- 20:07Speaker 1: Appreciate you for joining my boy All right, we got next.
- 20:11Speaker 2: We got Ro. No, talk to me.
- 20:26Speaker 11: Do I have to be PG?
- 20:29Speaker 2: No, do what you got to do.
- 20:30Speaker 4: I'm going to kick your ass when I see you
- 20:32Speaker 4: because I'm going to tell you why I'm going to
- 20:33Speaker 4: kick your ass because I've been sitting over there in
- 20:35Speaker 4: the listening waiting to talk. Mike's so shitty you can't
- 20:40Speaker 4: even have a fucking tailgate this year because ain't nobody
- 20:42Speaker 4: coming to that motherfucker. I'm going to kick your ass
- 20:44Speaker 4: when I see you, CJ. I'm going to kick your ass. James,
- 20:48Speaker 4: I ain't even worried about James. James got bigger problems
- 20:51Speaker 4: like his airline and shit. Listen, I'm tired of Mike.
- 20:58Speaker 4: I'm sick of that motherfucker. I'm tired of Mike. I'm
- 21:02Speaker 4: sick of him. I want Mike left in damn Kentucky.
- 21:05Speaker 4: Leave Tony.
- 21:07Speaker 3: Leave 14.
- 21:07Speaker 4: You can leave motherfucking zero because he's soft as baby shit.
- 21:13Speaker 4: We got a team full of damn Dak Prescott. Damn, man,
- 21:19Speaker 4: this don't look nothing like the Florida State football that
- 21:22Speaker 4: I grew up watching.
- 21:23Speaker 2: It don't.
- 21:25Speaker 4: I'm talking about, man, like, uh-uh. I'm used to the
- 21:28Speaker 4: Derrick Brooks, the Sam Coward, the Shade Trees. Like, man,
- 21:36Speaker 4: the Deion Sanders, Samari Rose, Tamaric Vanover, man. I swear,
- 21:47Speaker 4: if you go to Alabama right now and exhume Bobby,
- 21:50Speaker 4: he ass up. Man, Mike done ran this program, I'm
- 21:56Speaker 4: talking about so far in the ground, you got to
- 21:58Speaker 4: go back to the Darryl Mudra days. For those that
- 22:01Speaker 4: don't know, that was the coach before Bobby Bounder became
- 22:04Speaker 4: the coach. I mean, Mike is fucking, he Darryl Mudra pathetic.
- 22:11Speaker 4: You know, worst fucking coach I ever seen in Tallahassee.
- 22:14Speaker 12: Like, man, you.
- 22:16Speaker 4: I sunshine pumped. I stayed on that train as long
- 22:18Speaker 4: as I could, man. Like, I'm tired of this motherfucker.
- 22:21Speaker 4: Last year, I gave away more tickets than games I attended.
- 22:27Speaker 13: Like, I'm tired of this.
- 22:29Speaker 4: Man, I'm tired of riding up there to see us
- 22:32Speaker 4: look bad. Or if we ain't looking bad in Tallahassee,
- 22:35Speaker 4: we looking bad on national TV. Like, man, we ought
- 22:37Speaker 4: to fucking laugh and stop college football. And we have
- 22:41Speaker 4: been for, like, the last three years. I'm sick of
- 22:44Speaker 4: that motherfucker. And then what he do, he already ass.
- 22:48Speaker 4: So he go get Mr. Ball-headed ass to come join him.
- 22:52Speaker 4: I'm talking about he shit and Tony White the damn
- 22:58Speaker 4: triple shit.
- 23:00Speaker 8: I call him the three stooges.
- 23:02Speaker 12: Get him, Ashton, which Ashton, he.
- 23:05Speaker 4: Ain't even have no business being here, but Mike like
- 23:07Speaker 4: to shop at Dollar Tree for motherfuckers.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Exactly, bro.
- 23:10Speaker 6: So I ain't gonna.
- 23:11Speaker 3: Be playing him.
- 23:12Speaker 4: He be sitting on the sideline looking like he on
- 23:14Speaker 4: the damn spectrum. But I ain't going to blame him
- 23:19Speaker 4: because Mike bought him here. He belonged at damn Bethune-Cookman
- 23:25Speaker 4: across the tracks. He don't belong at FSU. Mike always
- 23:31Speaker 4: fucking bargain shopping.
- 23:32Speaker 3: Always.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Man, like, get that man out of Tallahassee.
- 23:38Speaker 13: Please.
- 23:39Speaker 4: Like, damn, if the administration, if y'all care anything about
- 23:42Speaker 4: the fans, man, pull the plug. Get these people up
- 23:45Speaker 4: out of there. Like, we sick of this shit.
- 23:50Speaker 2: We sick of this shit.
- 23:54Speaker 4: I'm gone.
- 23:59Speaker 2: That road no and gave up is over. I know
- 24:04Speaker 2: it's tough. I get it, man. That shit was crazy, man.
- 24:06Speaker 1: But at the same time, I'm just at the point
- 24:09Speaker 1: where I'm.
- 24:10Speaker 2: Past that, right?
- 24:12Speaker 1: It's either going to go good or it's going to
- 24:15Speaker 1: go good. And I feel like we're at a point
- 24:16Speaker 1: of it going good. We just got to let the
- 24:18Speaker 1: play out and ride the storm a little bit longer.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Then I feel like if, like I say, if these
- 24:23Speaker 1: people truly care about us, this down to third, if
- 24:29Speaker 1: they care about us, we should get some good news
- 24:32Speaker 1: pretty soon.
- 24:33Speaker 2: Crazy stat, man.
- 24:34Speaker 1: Louisville went on a 44-6 run since the first quarter.
- 24:36Speaker 1: 44-6 run since the first quarter. From the second quarter on,
- 24:46Speaker 1: now it was a 44-6 run.
- 24:48Speaker 2: Damn.
- 24:50Speaker 3: CJ, are we already had Brandon or no? Is this
- 24:52Speaker 3: a new caller or no?
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, we already had him.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Okay.
- 24:55Speaker 2: All right, guys.
- 24:58Speaker 1: We got the phone line still open. Tap in if
- 25:00Speaker 1: you want to. Make sure you guys hit that like button,
- 25:01Speaker 1: subscribe to the channel. We got like 860-something people viewing.
- 25:04Speaker 1: Appreciate you guys hanging out with us a little late night.
- 25:07Speaker 1: I know the majority of you guys are probably on
- 25:09Speaker 1: the X version. Go ahead and jump on the YouTube
- 25:11Speaker 1: version if you want to jump in the comment section,
- 25:13Speaker 1: hang out a little bit. or join the call-in portion
- 25:18Speaker 1: of the show.
- 25:20Speaker 3: I'll be a caller for a second, CJ. I don't
- 25:25Speaker 3: know how this doesn't end tonight.
- 25:28Speaker 2: You already on?
- 25:29Speaker 3: Yeah, they can hear me.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Okay, let's talk to them. How are you feeling?
- 25:37Speaker 3: I don't know how you can keep them. after this, right?
- 25:41Speaker 3: You're going to get blown out by Miami next week. Like,
- 25:45Speaker 3: no doubt. Like, you're getting blown out. Like, do you
- 25:49Speaker 3: think they fire him after Miami? Like, we get blown
- 25:51Speaker 3: out next week. They got to let him go, right?
- 25:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I think logically that was the timing.
- 25:57Speaker 1: And that was the game I was kind of looking
- 25:58Speaker 1: for for Mike Norvell to be fired, so to speak,
- 26:01Speaker 1: within this four-game stretch if he goes bad. I feel like,
- 26:04Speaker 1: and I say this, I think Louisville will be the game.
- 26:05Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Virginia will be the game. We win out
- 26:07Speaker 1: of this four-game stretch. First road game against Louisville, I
- 26:10Speaker 1: wasn't confident in the course against Miami. You get blown
- 26:14Speaker 1: out by Louisville, and then you go down south of Miami,
- 26:17Speaker 1: you get blown out in your rivalry game. With the
- 26:20Speaker 1: bye week, I really think if you get blown out
- 26:22Speaker 1: by Miami, the drums are going to be too loud.
- 26:23Speaker 1: They're going to have to make that move. Then you
- 26:26Speaker 1: have an interim head coach going into the– The next game,
- 26:35Speaker 1: the Clemson game, looking at the comments, saying, you know,
- 26:37Speaker 1: this shit's kind of real. They got Harlan coming in
- 26:40Speaker 1: and giving his takes off.
- 26:41Speaker 3: Go ahead, bro. All right, so let's just look forward
- 26:45Speaker 3: for a second while we're waiting on somebody else popping
- 26:48Speaker 3: in and calling. The call-in link is pinned on the comments,
- 26:51Speaker 3: so all y'all got to do is click it. If
- 26:56Speaker 3: they fire him after Miami, or let's just say they
- 26:58Speaker 3: fire him Monday, who are you hiring? And I see
- 27:02Speaker 3: we got Jared. So you tell me who your number
- 27:04Speaker 3: one choice is. Then we'll go to the next caller.
- 27:06Speaker 1: All right. So my number one choice, and I know
- 27:07Speaker 1: it's going to get the people going in the comment session.
- 27:09Speaker 1: We'll definitely get into this portion of the show as
- 27:12Speaker 1: far as like it can. It's my number one, my choice.
- 27:15Speaker 1: And I know people are going to love it. They're
- 27:16Speaker 1: going to hate it. But it's Jimbo, man. And I'm
- 27:19Speaker 1: going to tell you the reasons why. The reasons why
- 27:21Speaker 1: I feel like it's Jimbo for me personally.
- 27:25Speaker 2: Just the stuff out there here.
- 27:26Speaker 3: That's the wrong number.
- 27:28Speaker 7: Oh!
- 27:31Speaker 1: This is stuff I've been hearing behind the scenes as
- 27:33Speaker 1: far as the infrastructure that you would have.
- 27:36Speaker 2: And, okay, let's preface what's saying this.
- 27:41Speaker 1: If we're going to fire Norvell, I guess my first
- 27:43Speaker 1: question is, how committed are you going to be? Are
- 27:45Speaker 1: you going to go fully all in where you have
- 27:47Speaker 1: all this money invested and you're just balls to the wall?
- 27:50Speaker 1: And in that case, you can fire Mike Norvell. You
- 27:53Speaker 1: can shoot your damn shot at the top flight, P5, coach,
- 27:57Speaker 1: whatever it may be, right, and pay their buyout. Go
- 27:59Speaker 1: get you a try to go get a Lincoln Riley,
- 28:01Speaker 1: who's already unhappy in USC. Shoot for the stars at
- 28:04Speaker 1: maybe at a Dan Lanning or something like that. Or
- 28:06Speaker 1: you go get a maybe coordinator route. Shulman at Glenn
- 28:13Speaker 1: at Georgia. I know Faulkner kind of cooled off a
- 28:16Speaker 1: little bit last week against Missouri, but he was another
- 28:20Speaker 1: hot coordinator name. You guys know, of course, I like
- 28:22Speaker 1: Manny Diaz, but we're going to get into all that
- 28:23Speaker 1: in a little sec. I want to get to my caller.
- 28:25Speaker 1: But I will say Jimbo, the reason being because you
- 28:28Speaker 1: can You're getting paid $ 7 million from Texas A & M.
- 28:34Speaker 2: So you could bring him in on a– yeah, that's
- 28:37Speaker 2: going to be interesting right here.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You get $ 7 million from Texas A & M. Then
- 28:42Speaker 1: you could bring him in on a cheap– you could
- 28:45Speaker 1: bring him in on a cheap deal, like $ 4 million
- 28:47Speaker 1: to $ 5 million or something along those lines to where
- 28:48Speaker 1: you're not giving him $ 10 million plus on the contract.
- 28:51Speaker 1: So that's kind of compensating. Then you're not buying a
- 28:53Speaker 1: buyout or paying a buyout to another coaching staff Say,
- 28:57Speaker 1: for instance, just throwing a name out there, say, for instance,
- 29:00Speaker 1: you get Lincoln Riley from you as just a random name, right?
- 29:03Speaker 1: Someone that's already under contract elsewhere. You have to pay
- 29:06Speaker 1: their buyout as well. And then after you pay their buyout,
- 29:08Speaker 1: you got to buy the new staff and all that
- 29:10Speaker 1: type of deal. And of course, you still want to
- 29:11Speaker 1: be competitive in the NIL landscape and pay top dollar
- 29:14Speaker 1: because I know a new coach coming in. You don't
- 29:17Speaker 1: want to have pennies. You don't want to bargain shop
- 29:19Speaker 1: like Norville does in certain situations, right? So that's a
- 29:23Speaker 1: lot of money involved, but it has to be done.
- 29:24Speaker 1: So with that being said, I think the best option,
- 29:27Speaker 1: in my opinion, would probably go Jimbo. But let's get
- 29:30Speaker 1: these callers on. Let's go to a former Seminole. Hey,
- 29:33Speaker 1: y'all know I ain't got nothing to.
- 29:36Speaker 7: Say, dawg. For what good?
- 29:40Speaker 14: Dawg.
- 29:41Speaker 2: What's good with you? You see how I started laughing?
- 29:44Speaker 7: I know you did. I know you did, man. I
- 29:49Speaker 7: just don't. Oh, my God.
- 29:53Speaker 1: So we've been talking about some of the issues, some
- 29:58Speaker 1: of the schemes, and things that work on teams.
- 30:03Speaker 2: What did you see in this game that kind of
- 30:05Speaker 2: stepped out?
- 30:06Speaker 7: Same thing. Same exact thing. I just don't get.
- 30:16Speaker 15: What makes you change a game plan from being aggressive
- 30:20Speaker 15: to sitting back. And everybody's sitting on blocks, not making plays.
- 30:25Speaker 15: And see, to me, it's the inconsistency part of the game.
- 30:30Speaker 11: Right?
- 30:31Speaker 15: Like, we talk about a standard. And when you hear
- 30:38Speaker 15: Novaro say anything about a standard, it's like, okay, what
- 30:40Speaker 15: the hell is a standard? Because I don't know what
- 30:41Speaker 15: it is. Because week after week, we're playing inconsistent. And
- 30:46Speaker 15: you have your highs, you have your lows. Like, we're
- 30:49Speaker 15: talking about, oh, we beat a good Virginia team. Man,
- 30:53Speaker 15: that Virginia team had 22 players out.
- 30:57Speaker 7: Two.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Two.
- 30:59Speaker 7: Right?
- 30:59Speaker 15: Then we lose to a Louisville team that has no
- 31:03Speaker 15: defensive linemen.
- 31:06Speaker 2: And their best running back, he was out. He was out.
- 31:09Speaker 15: Best running back was out. He was a game-time decision.
- 31:13Speaker 15: But it's just like, when you look at it, it's
- 31:15Speaker 15: like the attitude of this game. Like, where is it at? Like,
- 31:21Speaker 15: there's no attitude. There's no leadership. There's no nothing. That's
- 31:25Speaker 15: from top to bottom. No matter how we look at it. Like,
- 31:28Speaker 15: I always say, you're either coaching it or you're allowing it.
- 31:34Speaker 15: And we're doing both. That's how I see it. I
- 31:42Speaker 15: think from the offensive side of the ball, what Deuce had, what,
- 31:48Speaker 15: one catch right before the fourth quarter for six yards
- 31:51Speaker 15: the whole entire time?
- 31:52Speaker 2: Yep, yep.
- 31:54Speaker 7: One catch for six yards.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Hell no!
- 31:58Speaker 15: And that's no way that he should have one catch
- 32:01Speaker 15: for six yards the whole entire game.
- 32:05Speaker 7: Like, great.
- 32:06Speaker 15: Daniels ran for five touchdowns versus a Virginia team that
- 32:10Speaker 15: was worse than my son's Pop Warner team.
- 32:17Speaker 6: And we happy.
- 32:22Speaker 1: So what is the thing we can do to get
- 32:25Speaker 1: Dukes more involved?
- 32:28Speaker 2: Because even from a mission, we got to check out.
- 32:30Speaker 15: Man, I think most of the receivers have checked out.
- 32:37Speaker 15: All the time they try to get Nancy to bars
- 32:39Speaker 15: on the end around. When does he really get the
- 32:44Speaker 15: ball in the pass? Where does he really work his
- 32:46Speaker 15: passing concepts at? Yeah, I mean, he dropped the pass
- 32:48Speaker 15: today on a third down, third down and seven, whatever
- 32:53Speaker 15: it was. That could have gone for a first down.
- 32:55Speaker 7: But what else? How are we getting our receivers involved?
- 33:00Speaker 15: How are we getting our playmakers the ball besides just
- 33:03Speaker 15: running Daniels and running Kuma? And running, you're trying to
- 33:10Speaker 15: get Deuce on a slant when everybody knows he's going
- 33:12Speaker 15: to run a slant. What other routes are we running
- 33:17Speaker 15: with Deuce? Why we're not moving Deuce around, having him
- 33:21Speaker 15: get in motion before he can be one-on-ones with a
- 33:23Speaker 15: safety or a linebacker? Like, why we're not creating mismatches?
- 33:27Speaker 15: Because this game is all about mismatches. That's what this
- 33:30Speaker 15: game is all about. Let me find their weakest link,
- 33:32Speaker 15: and let me see if I can get my best
- 33:34Speaker 15: guy on their worst guy.
- 33:38Speaker 7: All the way around. That's with Denzy. That's with Boggs.
- 33:42Speaker 7: That's with Deuce. Create the mismatches for you guys so
- 33:45Speaker 7: the guys can get open. Create bunts. Create stacks.
- 33:49Speaker 15: Create tight formations where they can get their hands on
- 33:52Speaker 15: them and still be able to spread the ball on
- 33:54Speaker 15: the outside of the numbers.
- 33:55Speaker 7: You know what I'm saying? Outside the hash.
- 33:59Speaker 15: Or you can have a two-way read where if he's
- 34:02Speaker 15: one-on-one with a set that he has a two-way read,
- 34:04Speaker 15: the quarterback has to read it. But it's little things
- 34:08Speaker 15: like that. The ranked game is going to open up
- 34:10Speaker 15: the pass game. So if we run the ball, well,
- 34:14Speaker 15: no matter how you throw, if it's Kuma, if it's Wise,
- 34:18Speaker 15: or if it's Daniels, whoever it is running the ball,
- 34:22Speaker 15: you created a run game so you can throw play action.
- 34:28Speaker 15: So that part of it for me is like how
- 34:31Speaker 15: we're not getting our playmakers the ball when you have
- 34:36Speaker 15: a 6'6 receiver that's got an advantage every single time.
- 34:39Speaker 15: So that's the part of me that's what gets me. Yeah, Jim,
- 34:46Speaker 15: this is, yeah. What do you think should be next?
- 34:49Speaker 15: What should be next for what?
- 34:50Speaker 2: Florida State. Florida State. Find a new coach. ASAP.
- 34:52Speaker 1: ASAP.
- 35:15Speaker 7: I hate to say it. Find a new coach.
- 35:17Speaker 15: And I know my son is at the school, but like,
- 35:22Speaker 15: we've gone, we're about to go into, well, we're three
- 35:25Speaker 15: and three right now.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Yep. Yep.
- 35:27Speaker 15: Going to Miami next week. We got a bye week
- 35:32Speaker 15: after that. And then we got Clemson. So this month
- 35:38Speaker 15: of October is, is, is where it's going to be made.
- 35:41Speaker 15: But this is like, do you wait until after Miami?
- 35:48Speaker 15: I mean, you wait until after Miami, then you got
- 35:51Speaker 15: the bye week. And then you walk into Clemson. So
- 35:55Speaker 15: now you're dealing with November 1st. Now you're dealing with recruits.
- 35:59Speaker 15: And I know, hey, the president loves the guy. He
- 36:02Speaker 15: doesn't really want to get rid of him. If he
- 36:04Speaker 15: gets eight wins, hey, we possibly want to keep him.
- 36:07Speaker 7: That's the standard. Question, though.
- 36:11Speaker 2: What does making it to Miami help?
- 36:13Speaker 7: How does that help?
- 36:14Speaker 11: It doesn't.
- 36:15Speaker 15: I don't think it does. Before I got on, I
- 36:21Speaker 15: heard CJ talking about Jimbo where he's already making $ 7. 26
- 36:25Speaker 15: million from Texas A & M for the next four
- 36:28Speaker 15: or five years. Honestly, man, I would love the reunion
- 36:35Speaker 15: just because you got somebody that understands where Florida State is.
- 36:37Speaker 7: He understands where the money is at.
- 36:40Speaker 2: He understands....
- 36:45Speaker 7: The standard that's supposed to be at Florida State.
- 36:47Speaker 15: He understands everything about the tradition of what Florida State
- 36:51Speaker 15: is supposed to be. These last two coaches that we
- 36:54Speaker 15: had do not understand that.
- 36:57Speaker 7: I'm sorry.
- 36:58Speaker 2: They don't.
- 36:59Speaker 15: You had Willie Taggart there for two years. He was
- 37:01Speaker 15: just happy to have the job. You got Norvell. This
- 37:04Speaker 15: is his seventh season. Probably going to have his fifth
- 37:07Speaker 15: losing season.
- 37:10Speaker 7: In two years.
- 37:11Speaker 15: So, For me, it's like you get a guy in
- 37:18Speaker 15: now that probably can come in in Jimbo who can
- 37:20Speaker 15: start recruiting now, can go into people's homes, can go
- 37:24Speaker 15: down to South Florida.
- 37:25Speaker 7: He can recruit South Florida.
- 37:26Speaker 15: It don't matter who's down there because he got so
- 37:28Speaker 15: much respect from his time, even when he was at
- 37:31Speaker 15: A & M, from everybody down in South Florida. He
- 37:33Speaker 15: can go into South Georgia. He can go anywhere he
- 37:35Speaker 15: want to in Texas area, too, and go recruit. And
- 37:42Speaker 15: that's what we're missing. That's what we're.
- 37:47Speaker 7: A true leader. Put it that way. True leadership is
- 37:51Speaker 7: what we're missing.
- 37:53Speaker 2: From the top down, I agree with you 100%. All right, bro.
- 37:56Speaker 1: We got to wrap it up and get some more callers.
- 37:57Speaker 1: And I'm going to hit you up offline, bro. We're
- 38:00Speaker 1: going to talk about this. Check your join up, bro.
- 38:02Speaker 7: All right, bro.
- 38:03Speaker 2: For sure. Yes, sir. That's Antonio Camarda, man. FSU legend.
- 38:07Speaker 2: FSU legend.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Of course, NFL legend at that. All right, we got
- 38:13Speaker 1: a couple of super chats we want to address real quick.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Let's go ahead and get those going. I appreciate the love.
- 38:26Speaker 1: Is that the shoes crazy one? Appreciate your fire, Norville.
- 38:32Speaker 1: He's worse than Dibby in his bootcut jeans. Shout out
- 38:36Speaker 1: to my guy, Dibby, man.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Tell them to bring me my money.
- 38:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Shout out to Williams, Kane for life. Kane's fans, shout
- 38:47Speaker 1: out to love. I appreciate you. For us, Kane's fans
- 38:50Speaker 1: have been there. You guys better blow it up and
- 38:53Speaker 1: start from the present on down. Miami has given me
- 38:55Speaker 1: all the blueprint. I will say, man, 100%, once you
- 38:58Speaker 1: guys made that president change, things kind of started rolling, man.
- 39:02Speaker 1: I'm a serious damn president for sure. I agree with
- 39:04Speaker 1: you there. All right, we got Jared on. Jared, talk
- 39:07Speaker 1: to me.
- 39:07Speaker 2: How you feeling? I think I'm in the same boat
- 39:11Speaker 2: as you, CJ.
- 39:12Speaker 16: I think Jimbo really is the only option. I mean,
- 39:15Speaker 16: I don't see another coach out there that's worth hiring
- 39:17Speaker 16: at this point. You know, give him a two-year deal,
- 39:21Speaker 16: let us mull over some stuff, get some NIL stuff going,
- 39:24Speaker 16: and then go from there. I mean, like I was
- 39:27Speaker 16: telling a second ago, I think the ceiling's five and
- 39:29Speaker 16: seven right now. I truly don't see us winning more
- 39:31Speaker 16: than two more games, if it's two.
- 39:35Speaker 1: Let me see who we got, man. I mean, I
- 39:39Speaker 1: can't argue against you, man, especially what we've seen. And,
- 39:41Speaker 1: you know, we got a lot of role games as well, too.
- 39:44Speaker 1: And we know that Boston College may not be able
- 39:46Speaker 1: to get in the first round. Pitt could look different
- 39:49Speaker 1: with a starting quarterback, but at the same damn time,
- 39:52Speaker 1: they're road games. We got a Friday, another Friday night
- 39:54Speaker 1: at Pitt. We know Friday night, not even just Mike
- 39:56Speaker 1: Norvell in general, but Florida State. Friday night ACC road
- 39:59Speaker 1: games haven't been, you know, friendly to us as well.
- 40:03Speaker 1: You got NC play, you got Florida. Five games could
- 40:06Speaker 1: be a stretch, man, especially with Miami and Clemson on deck.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I'm with you. It's going to be a stretch for sure.
- 40:12Speaker 16: Well, last point here. We gave, we gave the tagger, what,
- 40:14Speaker 16: two years? Norvell's on his third here. you know, with
- 40:18Speaker 16: the bad deal. You know, I like Norvell. I hate
- 40:22Speaker 16: it for him. You know, I wish him the best, but,
- 40:24Speaker 16: I mean, I don't see it getting any better from
- 40:26Speaker 16: this point. You know, it's been pretty stagnant.
- 40:31Speaker 1: If we're being honest, man, the right one's on the
- 40:33Speaker 1: wall probably way before, but for me, 100%, that Stanford
- 40:36Speaker 1: game last year, like at that point in time, I
- 40:39Speaker 1: would have cut ties that Sunday.
- 40:41Speaker 2: Well, I think it was a Friday night. That Saturday, Sunday,
- 40:43Speaker 2: whatever it may be.
- 40:44Speaker 1: I know Alfred put out that whole statement, but after
- 40:47Speaker 1: that game, The writing was on the wall for me,
- 40:49Speaker 1: especially the body language on the sideline and all that
- 40:51Speaker 1: type of deal.
- 40:52Speaker 2: That was the nail.
- 40:54Speaker 1: In the coffin 100% for me, but we just kind
- 40:56Speaker 1: of prolonged the inevitable in my opinion.
- 40:59Speaker 3: I got to push back on y'all two right now.
- 41:01Speaker 3: So y'all both on board with Jimbo as your number
- 41:03Speaker 3: one choice.
- 41:04Speaker 16: Who do you choose otherwise? I don't see another coach,
- 41:07Speaker 16: although it's worth hiring, that wouldn't be an experiment.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Jimbo had a war chest of money at Texas A
- 41:13Speaker 3: & M and couldn't. Couldn't do anything. He was also
- 41:17Speaker 3: on his way to a losing season at FSU when
- 41:19Speaker 3: he left. We were happy to see him leave. I
- 41:22Speaker 3: get it. I don't think the standard at FSU should
- 41:25Speaker 3: be he's better than Norvell.
- 41:27Speaker 2: I get it.
- 41:29Speaker 1: My pushback to you on that, Harlan, as far as
- 41:31Speaker 1: Texas A & M and what Jimbo did there, Mike
- 41:35Speaker 1: Elkos was doing the exact same thing that Jimbo did,
- 41:38Speaker 1: and this is with Jimbo recruits. What's the guy, Mike Sumlin,
- 41:44Speaker 1: The head coach before Jimbo was like literally the exact
- 41:46Speaker 1: same thing. And I forget someone posted on Twitter, Jimbo's
- 41:49Speaker 1: winning percentage was like 60-something at Texas A & M,
- 41:51Speaker 1: like the all-time winning percentage is like in the 60s.
- 41:54Speaker 1: It may be a Texas A & M thing, and
- 41:56Speaker 1: I do know his last few years at Texas A
- 41:58Speaker 1: & M, like he lost, he was like down to
- 42:00Speaker 1: a second string and a third string quarterback. And granted,
- 42:03Speaker 1: I agree with you. My biggest gripe with Jimbo at
- 42:06Speaker 1: Florida State is not him leaving. It's how he handled
- 42:08Speaker 1: that last season and how checked out he was. But
- 42:10Speaker 1: at the same time, within that last season, He was
- 42:14Speaker 1: checked out for one, 100%, but he kind of got
- 42:17Speaker 1: a bad hand with that and had to start. And
- 42:19Speaker 1: that goes to recruiting as well, too. He should have
- 42:21Speaker 1: had a viable backup if Frenchy was the guy. So
- 42:24Speaker 1: that definitely falls on him. But at the same time,
- 42:27Speaker 1: you got 165-pound James Blackman being your quarterback for the
- 42:32Speaker 1: rest of the year. And, of course, with being already
- 42:34Speaker 1: checked out and pretty much agreed to the deal with
- 42:36Speaker 1: Texas A & M. So if you can't take away
- 42:39Speaker 1: that last year, I mean, before that, you know, I
- 42:41Speaker 1: was complaining 100%, but What, the year before that?
- 42:45Speaker 3: If he comes in and wants to CEO it, I
- 42:47Speaker 3: might be on board. Hire him, cheat, CEO it, good
- 42:50Speaker 3: offensive coordinator, good defensive coordinator, etc. But if he's going
- 42:53Speaker 3: to come in and be like, I'm running the offense,
- 42:55Speaker 3: I'm out, bro. That's a terrible option. Don't get me wrong,
- 43:01Speaker 3: we're probably better than where we're at now, but that's
- 43:03Speaker 3: not the standard.
- 43:05Speaker 2: No, I agree with that.
- 43:06Speaker 16: I think it's an OC problem, too. That's my issue
- 43:09Speaker 16: with Norville right now.
- 43:10Speaker 7: He.
- 43:11Speaker 16: He coaches with emotion, and you can't do that as
- 43:14Speaker 16: an OC. If you're calling plays, you can't do it
- 43:17Speaker 16: with emotion. That's why we end up in the position
- 43:19Speaker 16: we are. Look at the Alabama game. Look at the
- 43:21Speaker 16: fourth down call. I don't disagree with it, but also
- 43:25Speaker 16: look how it turned the tables on the game, on
- 43:27Speaker 16: both games.
- 43:28Speaker 2: But, yeah, I do think from what I'm hearing.
- 43:32Speaker 1: He would be coming in with an offensive court, and
- 43:33Speaker 1: I'm with you 100% hard, and I wouldn't.
- 43:36Speaker 3: I don't need that damn slow-ass offense coming into Florida State, bro.
- 43:39Speaker 3: I'm punting on fourth and one on the opponent 40. Like,
- 43:43Speaker 3: people got to realize, like, we were calling for the
- 43:46Speaker 3: go-forward on fourth and downs when Jimbo left. Like, do
- 43:48Speaker 3: y'all remember that? We'd have fourth and one foot, and
- 43:51Speaker 3: we'd be like, why are we punting? And now we're
- 43:54Speaker 3: like the opposite. We're like, why are we going forward
- 43:56Speaker 3: on fourth? So we need something, like, in the middle.
- 43:58Speaker 3: But we don't want the Jimbo version of offense back. Like,
- 44:00Speaker 3: that's outdated. It's... Like, you have to look into analytics.
- 44:04Speaker 3: And Mike Morvell is too deep. He's too deep in analytics. Like,
- 44:08Speaker 3: he's like, oh, fourth and two. Like, analytics say go
- 44:11Speaker 3: for it. But we need something, like, in the middle.
- 44:13Speaker 3: But the Jimbo offensive run is not what we need back. Like,
- 44:17Speaker 3: he needs to hire his own offensive coordinator.
- 44:19Speaker 1: So who are some guys you're thinking up on that
- 44:22Speaker 1: could be good options in your opinion?
- 44:27Speaker 3: I mean, I was– I was wanting to steal Florida's
- 44:29Speaker 3: OC until last week. So, but it's also like, not,
- 44:33Speaker 3: it's not my, like, that's not my job.
- 44:36Speaker 17: Right.
- 44:36Speaker 3: Like I can say, I don't like Jimbo and I
- 44:39Speaker 3: want him coming back without like, I would, I would
- 44:43Speaker 3: go try to steal Dillingham back, bro. Like, I don't know.
- 44:47Speaker 3: I'd look for somebody that's a proven offensive mind, but
- 44:51Speaker 3: I see people saying they want a defensive mind too.
- 44:53Speaker 17: Right.
- 44:53Speaker 3: So like, I don't know. I just wouldn't fall back
- 44:56Speaker 3: into the trap of just like it was better when
- 45:00Speaker 3: Jimbo was here, so we should go back to Jimbo.
- 45:03Speaker 3: People forget that when he was exiting, that was toxic.
- 45:06Speaker 3: It was not a good season.
- 45:09Speaker 16: I don't think it's a step back. I really think
- 45:12Speaker 16: it's a stepping stone with that. Like I said, there's
- 45:14Speaker 16: not a true– there's not a Lane Kiffin out there.
- 45:16Speaker 16: There's not a true coach you would want. on a
- 45:20Speaker 16: five-year deal right now out there in my benefit. I
- 45:23Speaker 16: think any coach you hire at this point is a guess.
- 45:27Speaker 7: It's an experiment.
- 45:30Speaker 3: And I'd almost rather it be a guess than Jimbo.
- 45:33Speaker 3: Unless Jimbo's bringing an elite OC, if he's got his
- 45:37Speaker 3: coordinator set up, sign me up. But if he doesn't,
- 45:40Speaker 3: and it's like, oh, we're going to have the Jimbo
- 45:41Speaker 3: offense and then some random DC who he likes, I'm
- 45:46Speaker 3: not on board with that.
- 45:47Speaker 2: I'm not on board with that.
- 45:49Speaker 1: But, guys, I will say, man, and I don't want
- 45:51Speaker 1: to get too– and all this stuff is fluid, right?
- 45:55Speaker 1: But the staff that I project, the staff that he
- 45:58Speaker 1: could come with, I think he could be pretty damn
- 46:00Speaker 1: good if it all bars in that way. He could
- 46:04Speaker 1: be pretty good. I think fans would definitely be happy.
- 46:06Speaker 1: I don't want to say it because all that shit
- 46:08Speaker 1: is fluid because it could change tomorrow. So, as of now,
- 46:12Speaker 1: if we go that route, I think it could be
- 46:13Speaker 1: pretty good. We'll see how things play out. Appreciate you, Jerry.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Maybe we got to move on to another caller. That's Wayne.
- 46:18Speaker 2: Appreciate it, guys.
- 46:19Speaker 1: Yes, sir.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Appreciate you. And of course, you guys know me. I
- 46:22Speaker 2: don't have an issue with Manny Diaz as well.
- 46:23Speaker 1: I mean, I told you people kind of snuffed their
- 46:26Speaker 1: nose at a first year head coach, him being directly
- 46:29Speaker 1: tied to a rival. But again, I told you guys
- 46:32Speaker 1: in that video with Manny, well, that little rant I had,
- 46:35Speaker 1: so to speak, it's value in failure if you learn
- 46:38Speaker 1: from your failures. And I really do think he learned
- 46:40Speaker 1: from his first time situation in Miami. He goes and
- 46:44Speaker 1: he's under a very good head coach in James Franklin.
- 46:47Speaker 1: and a defensive coordinator at Penn State, and turns out
- 46:49Speaker 1: really good defenses at Penn State. At a top program,
- 46:52Speaker 1: he's winning a lot of football games, and then you
- 46:53Speaker 1: parlay that and go to Duke, and he's turned Duke, well,
- 46:57Speaker 1: made Duke into a winning program, winning the ACC last year,
- 47:00Speaker 1: and of course, he's been a really good, even going
- 47:03Speaker 1: back to his Miami days, he's been really good in
- 47:05Speaker 1: the transfer portal as far as getting quarterbacks. He was
- 47:08Speaker 1: De'Aaron King from Houston. He was before his time in that.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Then you go to Duke and you get Murphy from
- 47:15Speaker 1: Texas and, of course, you get Mensah last year from Tulane.
- 47:19Speaker 1: He's very proactive when it comes to quarterback evaluations in
- 47:23Speaker 1: the quarter, man. Man, he's been pretty impressive there since
- 47:25Speaker 1: going back to Miami.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Heavy, what's good?
- 47:29Speaker 3: I'm Jimbo over Manny for sure. Let me just state that.
- 47:32Speaker 2: I'm definitely there, too. Heavy, talk to me. How you feeling?
- 47:36Speaker 2: What's going on, cuz? Hey, here's my thing, man.
- 47:39Speaker 8: It doesn't matter who we hire if we're not going
- 47:42Speaker 8: to invest into them. Like, It doesn't matter if we
- 47:45Speaker 8: have Jimbo. We can have a motherfucking Nick Saban.
- 47:48Speaker 2: If we're not going to put money into the program,
- 47:50Speaker 2: we are not going to win. And not even just that, too, man.
- 47:54Speaker 2: Not even just that. We got to be serious from
- 47:56Speaker 2: the top down.
- 47:56Speaker 1: I know there's reports about the AD searching and all
- 47:59Speaker 1: that type of deal.
- 48:00Speaker 2: We got to be aligned from the top down.
- 48:02Speaker 1: Our problems are way bigger than just a head coach.
- 48:05Speaker 1: A head coach has to go, but I think our
- 48:07Speaker 1: problems are way bigger than just a head coach.
- 48:09Speaker 2: Go ahead, bro.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Yes.
- 48:10Speaker 8: And then the guys on the sideline, they don't even
- 48:13Speaker 8: care no more. Like, it's blatant. Like, they laughing on
- 48:16Speaker 8: the field. Y'all losing by 24 points. Why y'all smiling
- 48:18Speaker 8: and laughing? It's not no game. And like I say, man,
- 48:23Speaker 8: I don't want to put all the blame on Mike
- 48:25Speaker 8: because Mike take a lot of the blame. But like
- 48:28Speaker 8: I say, it starts from the top. Like, we got
- 48:30Speaker 8: to stop being cheap. Like, it doesn't matter who hiring in. Like,
- 48:33Speaker 8: I feel like the next person who hiring in, we
- 48:34Speaker 8: got to go all in with everything. The money, find
- 48:39Speaker 8: the best coaching staff, paying the best coaching staff. Like,
- 48:42Speaker 8: We can't play around no more, man.
- 48:44Speaker 2: It's embarrassing.
- 48:45Speaker 8: It's embarrassing to be a Florida State fan.
- 48:47Speaker 2: I hate to say it.
- 48:48Speaker 8: I hate going places and motherfuckers just laughing at me.
- 48:51Speaker 8: I know I work Monday. I already know I'm going
- 48:53Speaker 8: to hear it. I already know I'm going to hear it.
- 48:55Speaker 8: I've been talking trash all week. So I know I'm
- 48:58Speaker 8: going to hear it all week. You know what I'm saying?
- 49:01Speaker 8: It's embarrassing to be a Florida State fan. It feels
- 49:03Speaker 8: like we're a lesser program. We don't even feel like...
- 49:08Speaker 8: We feel like we're like a Purdue or a goddamn...
- 49:12Speaker 8: Or Mississippi State. Like, we feel like a low program. Like,
- 49:16Speaker 8: we're not even Florida State no more.
- 49:21Speaker 2: It's hard to argue against it, but you're right.
- 49:25Speaker 7: My God.
- 49:32Speaker 2: But here's my thing, all right?
- 49:33Speaker 8: What do you think the biggest issue with Florida State is?
- 49:40Speaker 2: The biggest issue? The biggest issue. The biggest issue. It's
- 49:45Speaker 2: a multitude of issues, but the biggest issue, I said
- 49:47Speaker 2: the biggest, is probably Norvell. That's head coach. That's the
- 49:49Speaker 2: biggest issue.
- 49:50Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 49:51Speaker 8: You think it's the recruiting?
- 49:53Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 49:55Speaker 1: It's a plethora of things. It's the recruitment, one. It's
- 49:58Speaker 1: the development of certain recruits. It's maximizing game day opportunities
- 50:04Speaker 1: and putting your players in the best situation. it's a
- 50:08Speaker 1: multitude of things I feel like that kind of all
- 50:10Speaker 1: ties into it. But again, we talk about recruiting. We
- 50:14Speaker 1: recruit between, what, the 20, 25 range, that type of deal.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Even with that, we still should be beating certain fucking
- 50:21Speaker 1: teams with recruiting, right? So within our recruiting from the
- 50:26Speaker 1: recruiting rankings, so to speak, only fucking games we should lose,
- 50:29Speaker 1: quote unquote, is Miami, Florida, and I guess you could
- 50:32Speaker 1: say Clemson, right? And it depends on Alabama, LSU, depending
- 50:36Speaker 1: on that other game on the schedule, if we're looking
- 50:38Speaker 1: at purely rankings.
- 50:40Speaker 2: But it's bigger than that, right? We lose it to
- 50:41Speaker 2: Stanford last year.
- 50:42Speaker 1: There's no way in fucking hell we should have lost
- 50:43Speaker 1: to Stanford last year.
- 50:44Speaker 7: I agree.
- 50:45Speaker 11: I agree.
- 50:46Speaker 1: They had nowhere near the talent we had. And Stanford
- 50:48Speaker 1: was– they were one of the laughingstocks of the ACC.
- 50:53Speaker 1: And we shouldn't lose in games to those type of opponents.
- 50:56Speaker 1: We lose the game to– like Louisville, we shouldn't lose
- 50:58Speaker 1: to Louisville. We shouldn't lose to those type of opponents
- 51:01Speaker 1: from just– Their pure, quote-unquote, recruiting rank is just at
- 51:04Speaker 1: a third. But we go 2-10, 5-7, 500 right now
- 51:08Speaker 1: and trying to look for a lifeline to six or
- 51:10Speaker 1: seven wins. Like, there's no way. So I think it's recruiting.
- 51:14Speaker 1: It's the development of certain recruits. It's the coaching. It's
- 51:19Speaker 1: the scheme in certain situations. And then game day, we
- 51:22Speaker 1: don't maximize opportunities in game day. And then when it
- 51:26Speaker 1: comes to NIL money as well, which falls under recruiting,
- 51:28Speaker 1: We are too cheap in certain areas, man. We got
- 51:31Speaker 1: to spend that money, man.
- 51:33Speaker 2: You got to adapt. You got to adapt.
- 51:35Speaker 8: So I got two questions for you. All right, the
- 51:37Speaker 8: first one. Two years ago, we fired Adam Fuller. I
- 51:41Speaker 8: will beg Adam Fuller to come back before I want
- 51:43Speaker 8: to turn white. Me personally, I didn't mind Adam Fuller.
- 51:48Speaker 8: I think he got a lot of blame because the
- 51:50Speaker 8: offense was terrible that last year he got fired.
- 51:52Speaker 2: The offense was terrible. So I will say this.
- 51:55Speaker 1: That 2024 season was not on Adam Fuller. No. That
- 51:59Speaker 1: shit was absolutely on the fucking offense. The offensive line stunk.
- 52:02Speaker 1: Mike Norell played, called, and stunk. The defense was average,
- 52:06Speaker 1: and it was actually okay to a certain point in
- 52:08Speaker 1: the game. It just folded within the third, fourth quarter, this, that,
- 52:12Speaker 1: and the third because they just gave out a goddamn gas,
- 52:16Speaker 1: and the offense put them in terrible situations, right? So
- 52:19Speaker 1: the defense fostered later on, late during games because of
- 52:22Speaker 1: that offense.
- 52:22Speaker 2: But Fuller, he wasn't a good recruiter. Early on, he
- 52:26Speaker 2: got flagged.
- 52:27Speaker 1: But once Fuller got talent, like the 22, 23 seasons,
- 52:30Speaker 1: the defenses were pretty damn solid. But at the same time,
- 52:34Speaker 1: he wasn't really personal with the recruits and that type
- 52:35Speaker 1: of deal. But I do kind of get your point
- 52:37Speaker 1: in Fuller kind of being a scapegoat, especially when you
- 52:40Speaker 1: look at what we saw from Tony White in a
- 52:42Speaker 1: certain situation, what we have now.
- 52:44Speaker 2: I don't think Fuller would have.
- 52:46Speaker 1: It follows our defense according to now at the very
- 52:48Speaker 1: worst where you may still lose this game because the
- 52:53Speaker 1: offense is fucking trash, but this game would have been
- 52:55Speaker 1: an actual toss-up.
- 52:56Speaker 2: You're either looking at four and two in my opinion
- 52:59Speaker 2: or five and one. I agree.
- 53:02Speaker 1: I think we'll be SMU too. I think we'll be SMU. Yep,
- 53:07Speaker 1: SMU will be a dub and I feel like Louisville
- 53:09Speaker 1: will be a toss-up.
- 53:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree.
- 53:12Speaker 8: Another thing, do you think the fact that Gus Mazon
- 53:15Speaker 8: quit when he did they kind of screwed us on.
- 53:17Speaker 2: The oc.
- 53:19Speaker 1: Yeah yeah and it screwed us in that regard and
- 53:23Speaker 1: it helped us as well too it helped us because
- 53:26Speaker 1: it cut out some money that we had to pay
- 53:27Speaker 1: him from a buyout standpoint say for instance we would
- 53:29Speaker 1: have fired us at a certain point you had to
- 53:32Speaker 1: pay him pay him some money for a buyout but
- 53:34Speaker 1: with him retiring it did save fsu some money on
- 53:37Speaker 1: the flipping it to your point it did kind of
- 53:39Speaker 1: hurt us from an oc standpoint um Yeah, I agree
- 53:43Speaker 1: with that.
- 53:44Speaker 2: So, it's two-fold.
- 53:45Speaker 1: It helped us and it hurt us, but at the
- 53:47Speaker 1: same point of time, from that standpoint, as far as
- 53:49Speaker 1: being better on the field specifically, I do think it
- 53:51Speaker 1: hurt us from the time it happened because we weren't
- 53:54Speaker 1: able to kind of combat that and hire anybody, if
- 53:57Speaker 1: anything like that, if you wanted to hire someone.
- 54:00Speaker 8: One more thing, man. I think... I got a hot
- 54:04Speaker 8: take here.
- 54:04Speaker 2: Another hot take.
- 54:06Speaker 8: I refuse to believe that Mike Novell just forgot how
- 54:09Speaker 8: to coach. Like, That man, he's be a mastermind on
- 54:13Speaker 8: the offensive side of the ball. Like, he'll scheme his
- 54:16Speaker 8: way out of some shit. I don't know what is
- 54:18Speaker 8: going on, like, but it's like something's broken with Florida State.
- 54:23Speaker 8: I don't want to just blame Mike Novella for that.
- 54:25Speaker 8: You know what I'm saying?
- 54:26Speaker 2: Like, granted, I want him gone.
- 54:28Speaker 7: I do.
- 54:29Speaker 2: I want his ass gone.
- 54:30Speaker 6: Like, but, I don't know, man.
- 54:33Speaker 8: It's like something in him was, like, broken, man. Like,
- 54:35Speaker 8: look at my sideline. It's like he don't correct nobody.
- 54:38Speaker 2: Like, I mean, Mike used to.
- 54:39Speaker 8: Give people ass when he used to fuck up. I
- 54:41Speaker 8: don't want to see that anymore. Like, he don't care. Like,
- 54:43Speaker 8: he just do not give.
- 54:44Speaker 2: A fuck no more. Situations, man. So, I agree with you.
- 54:47Speaker 2: I don't think you haven't forgotten how to coach, right?
- 54:50Speaker 2: It's that third.
- 54:51Speaker 1: But sometimes situations dictate outcomes of certain things and things
- 54:56Speaker 1: like that. And how that 2023 season kind of played
- 55:00Speaker 1: out and the response to it this time, third, wasn't great.
- 55:02Speaker 2: Our response to it in the transfer portal wasn't great.
- 55:05Speaker 1: I mean, if I'm If I get snubbed in 2023
- 55:08Speaker 1: based upon I go under-fucking-feated this time of the third,
- 55:11Speaker 1: will you still tell me no? There's no way in
- 55:13Speaker 1: hell I'm going to be passive in the transfer portal
- 55:15Speaker 1: with that next year. I'm balls to the wall, being aggressive,
- 55:18Speaker 1: trying to prove you motherfuckers wrong this time of the third,
- 55:20Speaker 1: but we were real passive in our selection. I say passive,
- 55:23Speaker 1: it was more so like, look at our recent success.
- 55:28Speaker 1: Look at the guys we brought in the transfer portal.
- 55:30Speaker 1: Look at the success from 21, 22, 23. We brought
- 55:31Speaker 1: in Jermaine Johnson. We brought in Kiera Thomas, we brought in,
- 55:37Speaker 1: what's the safety from South Carolina that ended up getting
- 55:40Speaker 1: drafted by the Carolina Panthers? Yeah, I'm.
- 55:45Speaker 2: Going to draw a blank, but we ended up bringing
- 55:47Speaker 2: him in.
- 55:47Speaker 1: You bring in Jerry Jones, Fabio Loving, Jared Burris, Fisk,
- 55:51Speaker 1: Keon Coleman, Johnny Wilson, Trey Benson.
- 55:53Speaker 2: You bring in all of those guys.
- 55:54Speaker 1: We were more so like, at this point in time,
- 55:57Speaker 1: come to fucking Florida State, you should be begging to
- 55:58Speaker 1: come to Florida State, just that third verse on the
- 56:01Speaker 1: opposite name. Like, yeah, Jamie Robertson. You should be begging
- 56:04Speaker 1: them to come to Florida State, right? That was our
- 56:05Speaker 1: mindset at that point in time, was being proactive, being aggressive,
- 56:08Speaker 1: and trying to convince those guys.
- 56:10Speaker 2: And at that point in time, the portal was changing, right?
- 56:13Speaker 1: It was changing from the point of how we were
- 56:17Speaker 1: earlier to the dollar kind of taking over the money
- 56:20Speaker 1: and that type of deal. So that was my biggest,
- 56:23Speaker 1: I think our biggest fault in that point in time,
- 56:25Speaker 1: which is being too passive and kind of more so saying, hey,
- 56:28Speaker 1: it's FSU proof of concept. We've been quote-unquote portal kings
- 56:32Speaker 1: the last three years. Nah, we didn't adapt, man. We
- 56:34Speaker 1: didn't adapt. We didn't adapt, and that was one of
- 56:36Speaker 1: our biggest issues in that time frame, in my opinion.
- 56:40Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with that, too.
- 56:41Speaker 8: But also, that goes back to the money part, too. Like,
- 56:45Speaker 8: the fact that we're not able to buy players that
- 56:48Speaker 8: we need, that's a big thing, too.
- 56:51Speaker 2: I think we can, and we can't. So I think
- 56:54Speaker 2: the money isn't Texas. It isn't.
- 56:59Speaker 1: USC or Ohio State. This is like the $ 40 million threshold, right?
- 57:04Speaker 1: But for us to be competitive, it's pretty much there.
- 57:06Speaker 1: So you get this damn money, but at the same
- 57:08Speaker 1: damn time, you got Norvell not delegating the money this time.
- 57:11Speaker 1: So say, for instance, we had, I forget, what's the
- 57:14Speaker 1: quarterback name from UNLV? He's at Nebraska now, but we
- 57:17Speaker 1: had him on official visits. We brought him and DJ
- 57:19Speaker 1: Lab on official visits. And we pretty much low-balled him
- 57:23Speaker 1: on the money standpoint. Both of those guys, they were
- 57:25Speaker 1: the first visits they took, right? but we low-balled them
- 57:28Speaker 1: on the money standpoint, didn't meet the number, and we
- 57:30Speaker 1: ended up selling for Ashton Daniels, Calandria.
- 57:33Speaker 2: That's right.
- 57:33Speaker 1: We ended up selling on Ashton Daniels from a money standpoint.
- 57:36Speaker 1: So you can get money, and then once the money's
- 57:39Speaker 1: in your face, you got to allocate that money in the.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Correct way, right? So it's a combination of both.
- 57:44Speaker 1: You need to have a healthy NIL, whatever, NIL, collective fund, whatever.
- 57:52Speaker 1: You need to have a healthy back-to-pay players, and also
- 57:54Speaker 1: you got to be have a motherfucker on the flip
- 57:56Speaker 1: end and knows how to delegate the money and knows
- 57:59Speaker 1: who to pay and what not to pay. So you got,
- 58:01Speaker 1: you lowball Ashton, well, you lowball in the quarterback situation,
- 58:04Speaker 1: you go Ashton Ames, and then you go pay $ 600, 000, $ 700, 000
- 58:08Speaker 1: a trade, Rosner, when you got Cromwell, who you paid
- 58:11Speaker 1: a lot of money for to flip from Georgia, Sam
- 58:13Speaker 1: Singleton at your high on the 7th third. So, you know,
- 58:16Speaker 1: stuff like that don't make sense, right? So you got
- 58:18Speaker 1: to have a combination of both. All right, my last thing,
- 58:22Speaker 1: I'm going to leave y'all boys alone.
- 58:23Speaker 8: All right, so this next coach, do you believe that
- 58:26Speaker 8: we're going to go all in with the staff and recruits?
- 58:31Speaker 3: I do.
- 58:31Speaker 2: I do. I do. I do.
- 58:33Speaker 1: I think once Mike Novella is fired, they're standing third,
- 58:35Speaker 1: and they hire a new guy and all that's announced,
- 58:38Speaker 1: I do think you're going to see a … What
- 58:42Speaker 1: is all in to you? What's all in to you?
- 58:45Speaker 1: All in to me, all money on deck as far
- 58:48Speaker 1: as the NIL standpoint. You got donations coming in. Um,
- 58:51Speaker 1: you got a new, you got money for a new
- 58:53Speaker 1: staff and you don't even have a budget, but you don't,
- 58:56Speaker 1: you have a, you don't have to bargain shop for
- 58:58Speaker 1: a new staff. You can actually get what you pay
- 59:00Speaker 1: for from a staff standpoint. You get what you pay
- 59:03Speaker 1: for from a recruit standpoint. So I really feel like
- 59:05Speaker 1: you have a healthy budget in that situation as far as, um,
- 59:08Speaker 1: a coaching process. staff off the field staff and then
- 59:12Speaker 1: nio when all three phases i think would be uh
- 59:15Speaker 1: committed in all.
- 59:16Speaker 7: Right committed to rather i appreciate that.
- 59:20Speaker 2: Yes sir appreciate you joining all.
- 59:23Speaker 1: Right that was heavy all right man we got about
- 59:25Speaker 1: you guys hanging out man about 1300 folks in here
- 59:29Speaker 1: Appreciate you guys joining. Again, hit that like and subscribe. 1,300 people.
- 59:33Speaker 1: I should have 1,300 likes. I know a lot of
- 59:35Speaker 1: you guys are viewing on Twitter. X is that and third.
- 59:39Speaker 1: Venture over to YouTube. Hit that like and subscribe button.
- 59:42Speaker 1: We got a call-in portion. If you guys want to
- 59:44Speaker 1: call in to get your takes off, go ahead. We're
- 59:46Speaker 1: going to drop the link here one more time. We're
- 59:47Speaker 1: not going to wrap this show up pretty soon. But
- 59:49Speaker 1: go ahead and get your takes off if you want
- 59:51Speaker 1: to get it going. Let's be done with Daniels. I
- 59:55Speaker 1: want to see Marshall. I mean, I get that. But shit,
- 59:57Speaker 1: even with that, the reveal has pretty much shown that
- 59:59Speaker 1: Sparrow is the number two quarterback at this point in time.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: I know there's a lot of reports in camp about
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Marshall looking pretty good and kind of jumping Sparrow, but
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: from what we've seen in the regular season thus far,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: even if we move on from Daniels, it wouldn't be
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Marshall first.
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: That's just hell. I mean, when Daniels got his helmet
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: took off, and that was another damn thing.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: When Daniels got his helmet took off, we threw Sparrow
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: in and threw the fucking ball.
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: It was second and four. Like, run the damn ball, Norvell.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: Like, no point in all in putting spirit in that
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: situation to throw the ball on the bench, cold all game,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: just run the damn ball.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: We've got Jason Watkins. Jason, what's good?
- 1:00:39Speaker 18: Jason from Oklahoma, man. I was just calling in to
- 1:00:42Speaker 18: say what's up to you, man. Hadn't been able to
- 1:00:44Speaker 18: catch you live and just wanted to tell you the
- 1:00:46Speaker 18: show's good. Definitely got to get rid of that guy,
- 1:00:49Speaker 18: but you got to spend the money too. I don't
- 1:00:50Speaker 18: think it's just about Mike, but he's behind the eight
- 1:00:53Speaker 18: ball at this point. There's no reason to keep him
- 1:00:55Speaker 18: around at this point.
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you 100%. I appreciate the love.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: First of all, I was showing love from Oklahoma. It's
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: big there, but I'm with you. It's bigger than Mike.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: Of course, Mike Novell has to be fired, of course,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: in my opinion, but it's bigger than Mike. It needs
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: to be commitment from the top down in all facets,
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: in my opinion.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: No doubt. No doubt, bro.
- 1:01:11Speaker 18: But, no, I just wanted to say what's up to
- 1:01:13Speaker 18: you and give you props for the show, but I'll
- 1:01:16Speaker 18: let you get back to your other college, bro.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Appreciate you, man. Much love. Yes, sir. All right, guys.
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: Appreciate the support, man. I was kind of iffy at
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: first we wouldn't be able to go tonight, man, because
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: it was reports around Tallahassee with a lot of people
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: lights being out, but I was able to hold it tight, man.
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Fingers still crossed for now, but appreciate you guys for joining. But, yeah,
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: we got to get full commitment, in my opinion, from
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: the top down. And then it's the timing of all
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: this is terrible, too, man. Like, we got to, like,
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: the 22 and 23 season season, We built up a
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: lot of momentum, and I got to give Alfred and
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: those guys props because this is one thing I do
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: respect for Alfred during his time as being AD. He said, no,
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: as far as being the ACC, we got to get
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: up out of this damn conference.
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: And they.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: Put all kinds of moves in place, suing this and
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: that to kind of lead the conference because they see
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: where the TV money is, and that's the thing.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: We've been trash as hell, and I think we're number
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: two in.
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: TV revenue and TV streams based upon last week.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: We're right behind Clemson.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: And after this Friday night game against Louisville, I'm pretty
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: sure it's going to jump up. And then we got
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Miami next week. So, Ruth, it's going to be a
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: battle between us, Miami, and Clemson for the number one
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: spot as far as viewership in the ACC. Mike, after
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: those guys saw that shit as far as the viewership
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: disparity between us and everybody else in the conference and
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: the money we're getting versus the money that the SEC,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Big Ten is getting, this, that, and third, when we
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: fit right in within those guys, the top guys in
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: the SEC and Big Ten and that, as far as viewership,
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: And if you keep giving those guys $ 60 million in
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: TV money versus 20 at Florida State, that revenue gap
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: is going to keep growing, growing, growing.
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: But so I say all that to say this.
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: We do everything we do as far as try to
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: get the damn conference after the 23-4 stretch.
- 1:03:09Speaker 2: And then Norvell comes out and lay a goose egg
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: in the following 2024 year and the 25 year.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Making this shit a lot more harder for us to
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: do what we need to do from a program standpoint
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: to make that jump and get the SEC Big Ten dollars.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: So, again, that's another.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: Thing as far as that. Yeah, that's cool. Yeah, we
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: can ride it off another. But that's another– if we
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: go for that. But, yeah, that's another thing as far
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: as that. Like, we– Alfred done tried to what he did,
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: and I think it's still in play for us to
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: leave the ACC. But at the same damn time, we
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: haven't been doing our job from a football standpoint. And
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: shout out to the fans, the Florida State fans, because
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: even with the trashed down product, the fucking viewership is
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: still top tier, right? So you still have a case
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: or argument for those conferences, but at the same time,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: you've got to get some wins as well, too. Yeah,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: you put all the eggs in your basket thinking this
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: program is on the rise, it's going to be good,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: and you go out and let it go 2 and
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: 10 and 5 and 7 at the worst possible time
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: when we're trying to lead the ACC and go to
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: greener pastures to help the program out.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: So if you're Jimbo, CJ, who are you hiring as
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: your O.C. and D.C.? Sell me the dream. If the
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: dream you're selling me is Jimbo, who's the O.C. and
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: who's the D.C.
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: So if I'm Jimbo, I'm going to– If it's you.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: I'm not telling you to tell me who he'd hire.
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: I'm saying if it was you.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: If I'm me. If I'm me. So if I'm me.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: This is my absolute dream, right? Dream, dream, dream. Dream.
- 1:04:54Speaker 2: Absolute dream. This is me. This isn't FSU just down
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: the third.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: I'll go get K-Bell from Pittsburgh, land me an office coordinator,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: quarterback coach just down the third. Real innovative young play caller.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: That type of deal. Go get K-Bell from Pittsburgh. bridge
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: that with Jimbo, and then you can kind of get a,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: I guess you could say, offensive-minded room, right, from an
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: offensive standpoint. Defense, let's shoot for the stars a little bit.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: This is my dream, absolute dream staff. Let's shoot for
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: the stars. You go make Glenn at Georgia your defensive coordinator.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: You make him the highest-paid D.C.
- 1:05:26Speaker 2: In the country.
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: You pretty much give him G5 money. Say you give
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: him $ 5 million a year, right? This is absolute dreaming
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: because you get Jimbo for, say you're paying Jimbo $ 4 million.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: A year from a salary standpoint, right? Yeah, exactly.
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: So you bring in Glenn, you promise him the highest
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: paid DC and say three to five years, you're going
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: to be, you're going to be the next head coach,
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: head coach. We're in the same situation as Jimbo as
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: you brought him in from LSU, right? So this is
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: my dream. Fucking I'm going to sleep right now. Fucking
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: amazing scenario for FSU, right? Kay, Kay Bell as your,
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: as your officer coordinator, Jimbo as your head coach, Glenn
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: as your DC head coach of waiting, making him the
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: highest paid DC in the country. Give them $ 5 million
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: a year. You're giving Jimbo $ 4 million a year. Then
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: you bring in everything else as far as the staff from,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you know, receiver, coach, office line, DB just down the third.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Those guys can feel that. And then you knock out
- 1:06:19Speaker 1: everything from a recruiter standpoint. Glenn, who has been an
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: ace fucking recruiter for linebackers, amazing recruiter for linebackers and
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: development for linebackers as well. From Valdosta, so you have
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: South Georgia, Georgia locked up, North Florida area. You know
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Jimbo is well known in the– South Florida area as well.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: If we go Jimbo for the head coach, that would
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: be my absolute dream damn staff.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: And that's with the all-in commitment from.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: The administration to give him everything he needs from a
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: full staff. But again, it makes sense from a money
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: standpoint because the $ 10 million so that you would pay
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: for a new head coach, you can give Jimbo for him.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: give glenn five and then you give k bell two
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: million or some shit like that two to two and 2.5
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: then hell.
- 1:07:11Speaker 3: You're cooking is the pit oc bringing his quarterback.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: With him i will bring the court but that thing
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: just tore his name acl too which is a bad
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: thing but we'll definitely try to bring this quarterback um
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: with him as well i will try i will try
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: to get him as well but you know pit probably
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: do everything they're proud proud to keep him.
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: Is K.A. Bell a good recruiter? I'm not sure if K.A.
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: Bell is a good recruiter or not, but I know
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: Jimbo Fisher is a good damn recruiter.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: So K.A. Bell, you can just kind of give me.
- 1:07:39Speaker 3: So Jimbo, the head, the Pitt OC, and then the
- 1:07:45Speaker 3: Georgia defensive coordinator with a head coach in waiting.
- 1:07:49Speaker 7: Correct.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: I think he's getting like $ 2 million from Georgia, if
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: I'm not mistaken. Probably Google it real quick. You pay
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: him $ 4 million... Come call a defense at Tallahassee. Who
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: says no to a down to doubling your salary, right?
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: I wouldn't say no. Right.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: And then you get a head coach.
- 1:08:14Speaker 3: There's no worry there that it's just Kirby's defense and
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: he's the face of it?
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: $ 2. 2 million.
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: That has been my worry because I'm not going to lie,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: their defense from Kirby and Muschamp calling plays to Glenn
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: calling plays, Their defense has dropped from like top 10-ish
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: to like top 20, top 25-ish, which is pretty damn
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: good still.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: But, yeah, that's a good damn point.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: I do think that was one of my main concerns
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: is the defense kind of dropped off in that regard.
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: But just looking at how he recruits, though, like the
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: guys he recruited, the linebackers he coached. So pretty much
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: every year he's had a linebacker drafted at Georgia. Every
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: year he's been there, he's had a linebacker drafted at Georgia.
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: Those guys play in the league, get developed. A lot
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: of guys, from Roquan Smith to a recent guy that
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: just got drafted for the year. It's Gray, if I'm
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: not mistaken, from the Packers. Well, I forget which team
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: it was. But every year they get a damn linebacker drafted,
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: and they recruit high-level players. So I do think that
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: would be a concern. But at the same time, if
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: you can recruit a higher recruiter at Georgia, playing our schedule.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: If you give me the top 20 damn defense, I'd
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: be cool with it. CJ Allen to the coast. Those guys,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: appreciate you, Omar. Those guys pretty much turn out linebackers
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: at a pretty high rate. Raylon Wilson, five-star linebacker from Tallahassee, Florida, Lincoln.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: He's one of the best players on Georgia right now.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: He's done a hell of a job recruiting. All right, guys,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: hit that like and subscribe button. If you guys want
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: to join, from a call-in standpoint, get your takes off.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: If not, we're going to end the show pretty soon.
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: But I do want to hear what you guys think
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: as far as offensive coordinator, defense coordinator, head coach, whatever
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: it may be. Give me some of the names you
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: guys are filling in the comment section or come in
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: and call in if not, we're going to.
- 1:10:16Speaker 2: End the show.
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: We've got over 1,300 people in here hanging out. Close
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: to 14. Appreciate you guys joining us for the game.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: We should have 1,300 likes. If you're on the Twitter
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: side of things, venture over to the X. Hit that
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: like and subscribe button. Or come and hang out in
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: the comments or join the show and get your takeoff.
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: What does Mike have to do, CJ, to not get fired?
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: Beat Miami next week? Is that the one thing he
- 1:10:42Speaker 3: can do?
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: No, I don't think it'll be the one thing. That'll
- 1:10:45Speaker 2: be one thing in the right direction.
- 1:10:48Speaker 3: So you're saying he could lose to Miami next week
- 1:10:51Speaker 3: and then wet out and not get fired?
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: Lose Miami next week? No. I think he has to
- 1:10:59Speaker 2: beat Miami for sure on top of other things.
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: I think Miami has to be– yeah, I don't think
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: he can beat Miami. Say you beat Miami and go 8-4.
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: He beats Miami and go 8-4, man. It could be interesting. But, again, man,
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: I guess just how the rest of those.
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: Eight games– Oh, I think if he beats Miami, he's.
- 1:11:14Speaker 2: I'm sorry. If you lose, man, I'm sorry. All right.
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: If he loses to Miami and wins out and goes 8-4,
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: I guess it depends on how the rest of that game,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: the rest of those games. Let's say, for instance, you
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: get blown out by Miami or it's a close game
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: by Miami, then, okay, you can have a conversation.
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: But if you lose to them and go 8-4 down
- 1:11:31Speaker 2: the stretch, I don't know.
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: You can't lose to them and go 8-4, though.
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: Yeah, can we react?
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: 7-5, right?
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: We're 3-4 right now, right? We're 3-4, so I reckon
- 1:11:42Speaker 2: right now.
- 1:11:42Speaker 3: So if you lose to Miami, the only thing you
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: can do is win out and go 7-5.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: So we are 3-4 right now, right? If I'm not mistaken.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: Just want to be 100% sure. We're 3-1.
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: Let me see.
- 1:11:58Speaker 7: 1-1-1.
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: 1-2-2. We're 3-3 right now.
- 1:12:01Speaker 18: 3-3.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: Okay, so we could lose to Miami and go 8-4.
- 1:12:07Speaker 2: Yeah, we could lose to Miami and go 8-4, but
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: that's not going to happen.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: So if we lose Miami and go 8-4, I guess
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: it depends on if we lose a close game to Miami,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: then we kind of blow everybody out, but look convincing
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: in the rest of the games.
- 1:12:19Speaker 3: So you think we could lose close to Miami and
- 1:12:22Speaker 3: they don't fire him, just waiting on the possibility to
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: potentially win out?
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Say, for instance, we go down the line and we
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: lose by three or seven or something along those lines,
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: I can see them probably keeping him for another week,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: just letting him play out, and then that could be
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: the issue, and then he goes eight and four.
- 1:12:42Speaker 2: But I think it– no.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: I– I want them to fire him on Monday, bro.
- 1:12:47Speaker 3: I'll be honest. I want them to fire him tomorrow.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: Yeah, if we're being honest. Sunday at the latest.
- 1:12:55Speaker 3: Vegas had the spread at four points, and they doubled us.
- 1:13:00Speaker 3: They beat us by 24 points. They spotted us 14.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: They spotted us 14, man. That's crazy. Could have been 21-0. But, yeah,
- 1:13:13Speaker 2: I'm with you, man. I think he should be going 100%.
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: But just playing the odds and how this administration has
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: been handling this whole Mike Norvell situation, because we know
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: firsthand they really don't want to fire him.
- 1:13:24Speaker 2: If they play Miami close.
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: Then I can see it lingering on for another two days.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: And that's going to be crazy because we've got a
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: bye week after that. And it spreads 19 and a
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: half for Miami.
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: So do you see them hiring like an internal candidate
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: for AD? Or do you think they're going to actually
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: hire an athletic director?
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: I'm talking honestly or what, man. Honestly, man, that's the thing.
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: With this FSU administration, I wouldn't be surprised if they
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: promote– what's the guy's name that's.
- 1:13:56Speaker 3: Been– Peter Collins?
- 1:13:58Speaker 2: Peter Collins, the– Or Warwick. I think it's Collins. Yeah,
- 1:14:04Speaker 2: Peter Collins.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: I think I can see them going Peter Collins route
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: because it's starting to be put out that he's making
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: all the moves behind the scenes and things like that.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: You see the story about him getting the grass fixed
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: and all that type of shit before the season. I
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: don't think that was a coincidence that that story was
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: dropped because what's the relevance of it, right? The relevance
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: of it is him wanting an AD job. So I
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: feel like that story is kind of.
- 1:14:28Speaker 3: So do you not see an issue with the people
- 1:14:30Speaker 3: that have got us into this position being the ones
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: internally promoted?
- 1:14:35Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: And that goes to that caller going back to what
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I was saying, it's bigger than FH, bigger than Mike Norvell.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: It really is. Like, it really is bigger than Mike Norvell.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Like, we got to get out of this old guard thinking, like,
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: as far as, you know, most programs, like, when boosters
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: pay money and they're allowed this, then the third, they
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: kind of make those decisions.
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: Dick Saban kind of talked about this.
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: FSU is one of the old programs that don't really
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: follow that model, so to speak, which is, I think
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: we kind of got to get away from that. We
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: got to kind of go with the money and go
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: go with the money and kind of go the people
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: that pay the bills, so to speak, and listen to
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: their opinions. I feel like we let too much, let
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: too much of the people in charge be in charge,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: if that makes sense.
- 1:15:30Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: Who can, I mean, who makes changes at the top then, right?
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: Like if the AD's gone, who makes the changes above them?
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: The president have to drop his nuts and feel like
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: we need to see that we need to make changes
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: from the entirety of everything from this revamp everything. They
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: mentioned about revamping, right? So if I'm the president, man,
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: I'm just looking at other models and other universities and
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: how they run it.
- 1:15:58Speaker 2: I'm kind of following their model.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: Successful universities at that, right? And I'm following that model.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Just my opinion. I would, if I'm the president, that's
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: the way I would go. Kind of follow that model
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: and no McCullough's not going anywhere no time soon. Someone
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: said the president needs to go. He just got FSU,
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: that new hospital, this, that, and third. I don't think
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: he's going anywhere anytime soon. But if I'm the president,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: that's what I would do, kind of look around and
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: follow the Miami model like Buddy said, man. They did
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: a damn good job in getting things together for Miami.
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: We got Dave.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: We got Dave, man. Dave, how you doing? I'm doing great, man.
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: How are you? Pretty good, pretty good. Happy to have
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: you on. Let's get your thoughts.
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:16:53Speaker 12: Well, I mean, you're up 14-0, fourth and goal. You
- 1:17:02Speaker 12: kick a field goal. You go up three scores.
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: I don't understand. Yeah, man, I'm with you there. And
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: I'm torn on that.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: I do understand the goal of three scores, but I
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: do understand once you're in the fourth and two situation,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: I just hate the actual play call itself. That's the
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: part I really hate. I really hate the play call itself.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: And if you do miss it, you're like banking on
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: guys going 97 yards for a score, which they did. But, damn,
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: I just really hate the play call itself. If you're
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: going to actually go for it and not take the points,
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: you've got to have a better play call.
- 1:17:55Speaker 12: I mean, I've coached for like 15 or 20 years,
- 1:18:00Speaker 12: and when you have the lead and the momentum, there's
- 1:18:07Speaker 12: no reason to not kick the field goal there and
- 1:18:10Speaker 12: go up three scores.
- 1:18:19Speaker 7: I agree.
- 1:18:20Speaker 3: I said it when they had the fourth and two.
- 1:18:22Speaker 3: I was like, You just kick the field goal, go
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: up three scores, especially with the situation Norvell's in. But
- 1:18:29Speaker 3: I'm with CJ. If you're going to go for it,
- 1:18:32Speaker 3: that is not the play call you call. You don't
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: throw a damn screen to the right side when you've
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: got Croma in the backfield and you've got a 215-pound quarterback.
- 1:18:42Speaker 3: That's just not the play call you go with on
- 1:18:45Speaker 3: fourth and two on the goal line. But if it
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: was me, I'd have kicked the field goal. But like
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: I said earlier, Mike Norvell's an analytics guy, right? So
- 1:18:52Speaker 3: he's probably looking at analytics saying, if I kick a
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: field goal here, our win percentage is this. If I
- 1:18:58Speaker 3: go for a touchdown and get seven, my percentage of
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: winning increases by 10%. So that's probably what he's looking
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: at and probably why he went for it. So that's
- 1:19:08Speaker 3: another situation where you go back to Jimbo. Like, Jimbo's
- 1:19:10Speaker 3: kicking a field goal 100 times out of 100 right there. So, anyways,
- 1:19:17Speaker 3: that's just my take on it.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I think if you get that third down, too,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: we pretty much got nothing in that third down as well, too.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: So that could have changed a lot of the, in
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: my opinion, that would have changed a lot of my
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: decision-making as well as far as the next decision for
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: as far as the field goal, this, that, and third.
- 1:19:32Speaker 2: That whole two-to-three-play sequence, it was terrible plays in my opinion.
- 1:19:59Speaker 3: Looks like we got Chris.
- 1:20:03Speaker 2: David still, are you got anything else or?
- 1:20:06Speaker 14: I mean, I would also say that, like, Deuce Robinson
- 1:20:10Speaker 14: looks like he's bored. And, like, it doesn't look like
- 1:20:16Speaker 14: he's in the game. I mean, he looks like he
- 1:20:21Speaker 14: doesn't want to be there.
- 1:20:22Speaker 11: I mean, it's just, I don't know. I've been a
- 1:20:32Speaker 11: Knowles fan for most of my life.
- 1:20:36Speaker 14: And I've never seen somebody that looks like they don't
- 1:20:39Speaker 14: want to be there more than him.
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's crazy. His body language is telling.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: It does look like he's been going through the motions,
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: and I agree 100%.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: And it's been not just this game.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: It's been the last few games where his body language
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: is kind of being, is glaring on the screen, right?
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: You can hear it. You can see it as far
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: as his body language. I do think that does play
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: a role as far as him not being fully involved
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: in the offense and wanting to come back for a
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: big year and that type of deal. And I think
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: that's affecting his play as well because him not getting
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: the opportunities. But when the opportunities do come his way,
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: he's dropping or he's in a situation where you have
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: to make a tough catch to where last year he
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: made what he's missing this year. But again, that goes
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: to the body language and the mental fortitude, in my opinion,
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: that he's in right now. And it's not a good space. But, yeah, Dave,
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: we got one more call. We got to get to.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: We got to move on. You got one more take
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: we're going to get off or anything else? All right,
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: we'll go ahead and move on.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: We got Chris. Chris, what you got?
- 1:21:47Speaker 13: Yeah, man, I, you know, I played on a lower level.
- 1:21:50Speaker 13: Played D2. I played under Buster Faulkner, actually.
- 1:21:53Speaker 17: So, you know, one of the hot names, right, when
- 1:21:55Speaker 17: I was at Valdosta. We won a national championship. It
- 1:21:59Speaker 17: is lower level, so I'm not going to, like, boast
- 1:22:01Speaker 17: too much because it's kind of– it doesn't relate as much.
- 1:22:06Speaker 17: But I do see how the coaches are just defeated
- 1:22:11Speaker 17: on the sideline.
- 1:22:12Speaker 13: I mean, they are completely defeated. They have absolutely checked out.
- 1:22:16Speaker 13: You can see it. You can see it.
- 1:22:19Speaker 2: They have checked out. With the coaches, it's like a–
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: They don't care.
- 1:22:23Speaker 13: So it's obviously going to relate down to the players.
- 1:22:25Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:22:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:22:33Speaker 2: And they played their hearts out.
- 1:22:35Speaker 17: But if the coaches aren't there to keep it up,
- 1:22:38Speaker 17: the leadership isn't there, and it's not going to maintain.
- 1:22:41Speaker 17: I mean, it is what it is. If they don't
- 1:22:45Speaker 17: have a belief in their coaches and they didn't win it, like,
- 1:22:49Speaker 17: within those quarter and a half or so, then it's
- 1:22:51Speaker 17: just not going to maintain.
- 1:22:52Speaker 13: So the fact of the matter is the coaches are
- 1:22:54Speaker 13: going to have to change. I mean, there's no getting
- 1:22:56Speaker 13: around it.
- 1:22:56Speaker 17: And I think the fans are at a point where
- 1:22:58Speaker 17: they don't even want Norvell to be around long enough
- 1:23:01Speaker 17: to have a I told you so moment where he
- 1:23:04Speaker 17: wins a couple games and says, hey, I told you so,
- 1:23:06Speaker 17: this works.
- 1:23:08Speaker 13: They don't even want him to enjoy any success with FSU.
- 1:23:12Speaker 13: Like if success is.
- 1:23:14Speaker 17: Coming with FSU, they don't want him there for it.
- 1:23:17Speaker 17: Because it's just like, hey, man, you've embarrassed us too
- 1:23:19Speaker 17: much with the 2-10, lost to Jacksonville State, 63-3, too
- 1:23:24Speaker 17: many embarrassments.
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: It's done.
- 1:23:27Speaker 13: You don't get the privilege of being here for any
- 1:23:30Speaker 13: future success.
- 1:23:31Speaker 3: Move on.
- 1:23:32Speaker 13: I don't care who the next coach is at this point.
- 1:23:36Speaker 13: I used to have opinions on it. I don't care.
- 1:23:40Speaker 13: Just pick somebody.
- 1:23:41Speaker 17: I'll come down there and coach the rest of the
- 1:23:42Speaker 17: season for $ 50, 000 a year.
- 1:23:46Speaker 13: Just pick somebody and let us move on. It's really
- 1:23:49Speaker 13: going to be about a ripping the band-aid off type
- 1:23:51Speaker 13: of situation.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Chris, you made a good point as far as go
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: ahead and move on and not let them enjoy your
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: future endeavors or anything like that due to the past.
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: The experience is the heart. That kind of ties into
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: what you said, Harlan, as far as do it now, this, that,
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: and the third. Don't let them possibly get a quote-unquote
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: win versus Miami or lose Miami and win the rest
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: of the games and get eight. And like you said, Harlan,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: I told you, so type of moment, go ahead and
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: move on now because we'll see where we're at.
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: Very good point. It's kind of exactly what you said, Harlan,
- 1:24:21Speaker 2: and it ties together.
- 1:24:26Speaker 17: Yeah, that's all I had to say. I'm pretty much
- 1:24:28Speaker 17: just trying to speak for the fans, you know, because
- 1:24:30Speaker 17: I'm pretty much convinced that's what the majority feel. They
- 1:24:33Speaker 17: just don't want to have the opportunity to have any wins.
- 1:24:36Speaker 17: So that's all I wanted to say is, like, speak
- 1:24:38Speaker 17: on behalf of the fans. You know, I know I
- 1:24:41Speaker 17: used to play, but, hey, that don't even matter anymore.
- 1:24:44Speaker 17: We just want to see the team win, and we
- 1:24:46Speaker 17: don't want to see it with them anymore.
- 1:24:54Speaker 3: Appreciate it, Chris. CJ, before we get Coe on, I
- 1:24:58Speaker 3: know he's the next caller. Is Deuce going to come
- 1:25:02Speaker 3: back next year? I mean, at this point, I mean,
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: he ain't going to the NFL. I mean, he had
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: six yards tonight, 12 yards. I mean, I think he's
- 1:25:14Speaker 3: got to come back unless he's not at FSU. So
- 1:25:17Speaker 3: I just wanted to hit on that before we moved
- 1:25:19Speaker 3: on to Coe.
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: Yeah, that's a good point as well. Someone kind of
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: brought up that as, as a possibility. And with this
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: new rule from the four years and rare shirt to
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: the full five, he does have the opportunity. And I
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: could definitely see it a hundred percent, especially with how
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: he's been playing as of late. He may not have
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: a damn choice, but to come back. I know last
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: year we had to convince him to come back. He'd
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: probably be too much convincing this for next year.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: We'll see how it plays out for the rest of
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: the season. Corey, how you doing, bro?
- 1:25:47Speaker 7: Hey, what's up, bro?
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Not much.
- 1:25:49Speaker 2: Talk to me.
- 1:25:50Speaker 4: Oh man.
- 1:25:51Speaker 19: Um, from watching the game, you know what I mean? It's,
- 1:25:55Speaker 19: To me, it's not even no more excitement. Like, I
- 1:25:57Speaker 19: see them jumped up 14-nothing, and I really didn't even
- 1:26:01Speaker 19: have no excitement in the thing because it seemed like
- 1:26:03Speaker 19: to me after the first 15 or something scripted plays
- 1:26:06Speaker 19: that might run, it just go downhill. When the other
- 1:26:10Speaker 19: coach make an adjustment, we don't come back and make
- 1:26:12Speaker 19: another adjustment.
- 1:26:13Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 1:26:14Speaker 19: And that crowd was dead. That crowd didn't have nothing
- 1:26:17Speaker 19: to chill for, man. And you could have took a
- 1:26:20Speaker 19: three-possession lead If you went on ahead and kicked the
- 1:26:23Speaker 19: field goal, made it 17-0.
- 1:26:30Speaker 9: Huh?
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: You disagree? Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I mean, you know, if
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: you take.
- 1:26:46Speaker 19: That three-possession lead, You know, people looking at the point,
- 1:26:49Speaker 19: you need to go by possessions. How many possessions I
- 1:26:51Speaker 19: need to get back into this game, you know? And
- 1:26:54Speaker 19: the crowd was there. And once they had that fourth
- 1:26:56Speaker 19: down stop, that brought the crowd back into the game.
- 1:26:59Speaker 19: And then the next play, you hit up. I mean,
- 1:27:02Speaker 19: I don't know where the fourth defender was at. Where
- 1:27:04Speaker 19: the person was supposed to force everything back inside.
- 1:27:07Speaker 7: It looked like he just hit the sideline like, hey.
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: Here we go.
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: You know, Jalen Adams in the defensive end, he pretty
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: much fell before taking on the block trying to– spill
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: it back inside. And once he fell, there was a huge,
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: huge damn hole for the, uh, for the offensive line
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: to kind of get through and make a play on
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: and go from there.
- 1:27:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:27:32Speaker 19: But that's all I got to say. It looked like
- 1:27:34Speaker 19: I'm going in and out, man. But if you could
- 1:27:35Speaker 19: comment on that, you know, speak on that, it'd be cool.
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: No, I'm with you a hundred percent, man. Like at
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: that point in time, yeah. Um, points are paramount.
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: Um, I get it.
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: We definitely need the points and just to go from
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: the momentum swing.
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: Like, it's crazy.
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: That's the game of football. You go from that fourth
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: down deal from a 97-yard play to the very next play.
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: It's unfortunate, but I'm with you 100%, especially with the
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: crowd being at that point in time.
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: Take them out of the game. Appreciate you, Cora, for joining.
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: All right. I think we're good, CJ. Unless you got
- 1:28:55Speaker 3: anything else.
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: Oh, hold on one second. Dave only. Was Dave actually
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: on just then?
- 1:29:06Speaker 7: No.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: You want me to bring him in?
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: Yeah, Dave, you weren't on. You were in the background.
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Dave, you get this last takeoff, and we'll go ahead
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: and finish up the show. Go ahead and get your
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: last takeoff.
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: My apologies. Once you– yeah, you're highlighting now, so you're
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: good to go.
- 1:29:19Speaker 18: Go ahead, Dave.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: Sorry, Dave was in the background talking, but he wasn't highlighting.
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: Go ahead, Dave. We'll wrap the show up from here.
- 1:29:24Speaker 17: Oh, sorry.
- 1:29:25Speaker 2: Okay. Yeah, I mean, I've been a Mike Norvell fan. Yeah,
- 1:29:30Speaker 2: I've been a Mike Norvell fan forever.
- 1:29:33Speaker 12: And, like, after tonight– The fourth and goal, when you
- 1:29:40Speaker 12: don't kick a field goal to go up three scores,
- 1:29:45Speaker 12: I don't know.
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: No, I get it, man.
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: That fourth down play definitely draws a lot of damn opinions, man.
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: But I think the game was a lot bigger than
- 1:29:57Speaker 1: that play. I'm more so concerned about the offense after
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: that play, right? Because you pretty much went three down
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: quarters without scoring anything. any type of point and getting
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: any type of juice from the offense after the first
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: three drives, kind of getting whatever you wanted from an
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: offensive standpoint. And, and it's pretty much what we've seen
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: from Norville in the past, right? Where we get hot
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: a few drives and there's just these huge stalls from games.
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: I go back way back to 2022 against NC state.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: When within that three game losing streak, when we ended
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: up losing that game with Jordan, Jordan, Travis throwing interception,
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: we just thought too much on offense. And that's pretty
- 1:30:34Speaker 1: much the same thing. And so I do get that,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: That fourth down play, I don't know, man. I don't
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: mind the decision to go for it. Like I said,
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: I won't mind kicking the points or going for it.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: It's just that play call itself was terrible. If I'm
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: going for it on the fourth, I'm not calling that
- 1:30:52Speaker 1: play at all. But I do understand his thinking for
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: it going forward. You go up 21. If you miss it,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: it's fucking 97 yards. Defense is playing well. If you
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: do miss it, we pin them deep and we can
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: either make them punt and get the ball back on
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: the short field for a new drive and then kind
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: of score again.
- 1:31:07Speaker 2: So you think of all that, right?
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: You don't think on the very next play you want
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: to give a 97-yard touchdown run, right? So it's easy
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: to kind of, I guess you could say, nitpick that
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: after the fact. But my biggest issue is the play
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: call for sure. Not necessarily a decision to go for,
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: but the play call. And then everything that happened after that,
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: we pretty much went close to three full quarters without
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: scoring a point.
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: We're going to go ahead and wrap up the show, man.
- 1:31:32Speaker 2: Appreciate you guys joining. I'll miss you guys.
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: Matter of fact, we're going to hold on for two
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: more seconds. We think we do got another caller coming on.
- 1:31:41Speaker 1: And we're going to let them get their takeoff and
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: go from there. But yeah, that's my biggest take within
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: the game. Well, not necessarily within the game, but my
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: biggest takeaway within Norvell on the offense, so to speak.
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: Not necessarily the fourth down, but.
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: not go for the field goal, but that close to
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: three damn quarters of just not doing nothing at all
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: on offense after the first drive, second drive, and even
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: the third drive up to that fourth down black thereof conversion,
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: we ended up, you know, the offense looked pretty damn
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: good prior to that. Make sure you guys hit that
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: like button, subscribe to the channel. Starting to storm a
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: little bit on the outside. I can hear it. raining
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: cats and dogs a little bit, man. But again, if
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: you guys are in the, in the hurricane and that
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: type of hurricane, excuse me, make sure you guys be
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: safe out there. Um, send a prayer to you guys.
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: I was in the panhandle area.
- 1:32:36Speaker 3: So I'll rate on this one last caller, CJ, what's
- 1:32:39Speaker 3: your score prediction next, next weekend for FSU Miami early,
- 1:32:44Speaker 3: early preview.
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: A lot to a little, um, a lot to a little, man.
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: I think Miami is going to try to do a thing.
- 1:32:51Speaker 1: It's going to be another 40 ball for sure.
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: Um, It's a little weird. Like even when we were
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: as high as they are and they were as low
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: as we are back in the day, there were still
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: close games. You don't think there's some, it could be
- 1:33:05Speaker 3: Miami magic.
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: It could, because this game typically is close, right?
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: Whenever we play Miami, um, it's typically a close damn game, but, um,
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: I just don't see it, especially with how this defense
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: has been performing. We know Miami is probably the most
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: prolific offense we've seen to this point. Um, Running game,
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: physical offensive line, physical running back and in. You got
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: a quarterback that's very efficient and a receiver who's the
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: most explosive player we played all year on offense, right,
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: and a guy that can turn a lot to a little.
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: So the matchups just don't bide well for FSU for
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: it to be a close game. But we've known Florida
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: State Miami to be close in history, but with this one,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: I don't see it. We got a last caller for
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: the day, man.
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: T.J., what's good, man? How you doing, bro?
- 1:33:47Speaker 6: Man, not much. Not much is good, T.J., How are
- 1:33:51Speaker 6: you feeling, bud? So I just tuned in. I've been busy.
- 1:33:55Speaker 6: I've been ranting. You've been ranting a little bit?
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: I have a little bit on Twitter, but I'm kind
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: of past that now. So this is my mindset. I
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: feel like it's either going to go good or it's
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: going to go good. I feel like we're in the
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: go-good portion as far as just letting it play out.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: Then we get to a situation to where, hey, you're
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: hiring a new head coach. So I feel like we
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: either go good, win nine, ten games, good season, Or
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: we start losing games and we fire Mike Novella. And
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: that's the good part about it as well, too, because
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: we're going to, you know, better days will be coming
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: pretty soon.
- 1:34:26Speaker 6: My only fear is what if they luck into, like,
- 1:34:31Speaker 6: no good wins?
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: And that's the thing Harley was just talking about. We
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: don't want that to happen. We don't want to give
- 1:34:35Speaker 2: them the opportunity.
- 1:34:36Speaker 6: Like, that's where I'm just like, okay. So the scenario is, like,
- 1:34:41Speaker 6: you think about, like, okay. I don't know if you
- 1:34:44Speaker 6: saw that Thamel report that came out today. But that's
- 1:34:46Speaker 6: what got me frustrated on my postgame was if you–
- 1:34:51Speaker 6: say you beat BC, right? We all think we could
- 1:34:53Speaker 6: win that game. NC State, not real great. Pittsburgh doesn't
- 1:34:56Speaker 6: have a quarterback. So there's three wins right there. I mean,
- 1:34:58Speaker 6: there's six wins. What if Clemson– like, I don't think
- 1:35:01Speaker 6: they're going to– so the other three games are Clemson, Florida, Miami.
- 1:35:04Speaker 6: I don't think we're winning any of those. But what
- 1:35:05Speaker 6: if you did? Like, what if you beat Clemson?
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: You got 75.
- 1:35:09Speaker 6: And they're bringing it back. Like, I mean– And that's
- 1:35:14Speaker 6: where I think it puts Florida State fans in a
- 1:35:16Speaker 6: tough spot.
- 1:35:17Speaker 2: So to your point.
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: If I'm a decision maker, because I'm looking at the optics, right?
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: So I'm looking at the same shit you just said. Yeah,
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: we won these seven wins, but a Pittsburgh team down
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: the quarterback, a Clemson team that's clearly not Clemson, right?
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: This isn't the same Clemson we've been seeing, so.
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: We're looking at a 7... Yeah, I get a 7-5, 7-5, 8-4, 10-3,
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: but we really pulled back the layers of.
- 1:35:44Speaker 6: It's a fake 7-5, but I think for the people that.
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: But that's a good point, though, because they don't want
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: a 5 in the first down place, right?
- 1:35:51Speaker 11: Right.
- 1:35:51Speaker 6: So the people that aren't psychos like me and you,
- 1:35:54Speaker 6: that follow every single step of the road, I think
- 1:35:58Speaker 6: they're okay with it. I think they... You know, the
- 1:36:03Speaker 6: average fan that goes to games... Like, this is their
- 1:36:07Speaker 6: Saturdays in the fall. And then they move on with
- 1:36:10Speaker 6: life at other times, where me and you don't do that. Like,
- 1:36:12Speaker 6: we are obsessed with every aspect of this, and that's
- 1:36:15Speaker 6: why it's so frustrating to us. But the average fan
- 1:36:19Speaker 6: that just goes to seven, eight games would look at
- 1:36:21Speaker 6: it and say, ah, you know, we got better. We
- 1:36:24Speaker 6: got a little bit better over the year. I don't know, man.
- 1:36:26Speaker 6: I just hope that more people are like psychos like
- 1:36:28Speaker 6: me and you and expect better.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: And we need more voices to get more loud, right?
- 1:36:34Speaker 1: And I think After this week, if things go how
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: we think it'll go, those voices will definitely be in
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: play and it'll be a lot more loud. But to
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: your point, like the average fan, like the people, we
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: know it's bigger than just, it's deeper than the fall, right?
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: Because everything that leads up to the fall is pretty
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: much so important as far as the foundation of the
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: program years after.
- 1:36:56Speaker 2: And we know the recruiting is terrible.
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: If you go win six games, win seven games, it's
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: going to get even worse, right, because you have nothing.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: What are you selling? What are you selling at that
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: point to these recruits? Hey, I went from two to
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: five to six and seven wins like this. You're not
- 1:37:10Speaker 1: selling that at all. Then you've got Miami on the
- 1:37:13Speaker 1: flip end who can sell, okay, this is what's going on.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: You have Florida on the flip end who, if they continue,
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: I think they'll be fine. Say they went eight games
- 1:37:20Speaker 1: or so first year, which is damn good, in my opinion,
- 1:37:23Speaker 1: for their head coach. hey, this is what we're building
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: at Florida. We have that new energy, this new juice.
- 1:37:29Speaker 1: We're going to be, what, year eight for Norville?
- 1:37:32Speaker 6: Talking about six and seven wins like that might be enough.
- 1:37:36Speaker 6: That's crazy, CJ. Come on. Listen, I don't mean to
- 1:37:39Speaker 6: be disrespectful, but Bowden might not have been the only
- 1:37:44Speaker 6: thing they buried a few years ago, bro. I think
- 1:37:45Speaker 6: they buried the standard. I think they buried the standard
- 1:37:48Speaker 6: with Coach. I truly believe they just don't care. And
- 1:37:54Speaker 6: I mean, I'm not trying to say nobody there cares. Like,
- 1:37:56Speaker 6: that's not my point. But you look at, like, the president.
- 1:37:59Speaker 6: I mean, the president went to Harvard. The president's not
- 1:38:01Speaker 6: an alum. Like, he went to Harvard, man. Like, he's
- 1:38:03Speaker 6: there as a business guy to acquire a hospital. And
- 1:38:06Speaker 6: he's done a great job with all that. But you
- 1:38:08Speaker 6: got a lot of people. Michael Alford, right? Like, he
- 1:38:10Speaker 6: was great to us. He came on the show. He
- 1:38:12Speaker 6: was nice. Like, whatever. Like, I ain't got nothing wrong
- 1:38:14Speaker 6: with him as a person. I mean, he didn't go
- 1:38:16Speaker 6: to FSU. Like, I don't think he cared. You know, like,
- 1:38:18Speaker 6: it was another job. Like, he interviewed for other jobs.
- 1:38:21Speaker 6: I think a lot of the people running this thing
- 1:38:24Speaker 6: don't really care. And it sucks because we want them
- 1:38:28Speaker 6: to care like we do, but they're just not. And again,
- 1:38:31Speaker 6: I'm not saying that everybody in that building does not care.
- 1:38:33Speaker 6: I know there's a lot. I know Ernie cares. I
- 1:38:35Speaker 6: know Fuller cares. I know there's people there that care.
- 1:38:38Speaker 6: But I think a large portion of them, they don't
- 1:38:41Speaker 6: care like we do because they don't understand how special
- 1:38:44Speaker 6: Tallahassee is, how special Florida State is, what Coach Bowden built,
- 1:38:48Speaker 6: what Jimbo carried on. And it's just another, I mean,
- 1:38:52Speaker 6: for a lot of these people, it's just another job.
- 1:38:54Speaker 6: And I don't know how, I don't know how that changes.
- 1:38:57Speaker 6: I know that college football is such a business now,
- 1:38:59Speaker 6: and I get that. But man, if you get the
- 1:39:02Speaker 6: right people in place that actually care, like Miami's AD,
- 1:39:07Speaker 6: like Mario cares because he went there, but like Miami's
- 1:39:09Speaker 6: AD wasn't. When they had that guy from Clemson, he
- 1:39:11Speaker 6: wasn't a Miami alum. Their president wasn't. They got rid
- 1:39:14Speaker 6: of Donna. They got alignment. They got people that cared.
- 1:39:18Speaker 6: They got people that were tired of getting embarrassed. And
- 1:39:20Speaker 6: I just wonder how many times we have to get
- 1:39:21Speaker 6: embarrassed before the people that actually make the decisions will say,
- 1:39:25Speaker 6: you know what? I care enough to stop being embarrassed.
- 1:39:27Speaker 6: Because it took Kirk calling them out on game day
- 1:39:30Speaker 6: for them to finally change things. And I'm wondering where
- 1:39:32Speaker 6: that line is drawn. I'm wondering if a 44-6 run
- 1:39:35Speaker 6: on a Friday night when the whole nation is watching
- 1:39:37Speaker 6: by Louisville is enough.
- 1:39:39Speaker 9: Or.
- 1:39:39Speaker 6: If Miami needs to beat us by 60, is that
- 1:39:42Speaker 6: what it takes? Or a Clemson team that you just said,
- 1:39:45Speaker 6: that is not Clemson, if that could be enough. Or
- 1:39:48Speaker 6: if it's the end of the year. I was talking
- 1:39:50Speaker 6: about this on my show. Florida had three wins when
- 1:39:53Speaker 6: they played us last year, and they beat the dog
- 1:39:55Speaker 6: shit out of us, bro. That was not like 96 Florida.
- 1:40:00Speaker 6: That was a three-win Florida team that just got blown
- 1:40:02Speaker 6: out by Tennessee the week before. So I just wonder, man,
- 1:40:05Speaker 6: will it ever get embarrassing enough?
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: So that's the thing, bro. It's crazy you mention it.
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: That makes that whole– first of all, you put out
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: the statement after Stanford and say, as season's in, we're
- 1:40:16Speaker 1: going to evaluate. And then you put out the statement,
- 1:40:19Speaker 1: we're going to stick by Norvell before the season is
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: actually over.
- 1:40:22Speaker 6: They were covering their butt. They were covering their butt, man.
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: And then you get boat raced by Florida. But to
- 1:40:29Speaker 1: your point, we have business people in place, right? So
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: once the business started hurting– And I think if they
- 1:40:34Speaker 1: announce that they're going to bring Norvell back this year, oh,
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: my gosh.
- 1:40:39Speaker 2: The ticket sales, booster, all of that type of shit
- 1:40:41Speaker 2: is going to plummet. It's going to plummet.
- 1:40:44Speaker 6: I feel bad for the people that got to make
- 1:40:45Speaker 6: season ticket calls. Those people got the worst job in America.
- 1:40:50Speaker 1: Worst job in America. Trying to sell season tickets for
- 1:40:52Speaker 1: Florida State.
- 1:40:54Speaker 6: It should be the easiest job.
- 1:40:56Speaker 2: It should be, right?
- 1:40:57Speaker 6: It should be the easiest job. Like, hey, boss, I
- 1:40:59Speaker 6: just got another sale. Oh, I mean, you're selling tickets
- 1:41:01Speaker 6: to FSU. It shouldn't be that hard.
- 1:41:02Speaker 2: Now you're just getting cold calls again.
- 1:41:05Speaker 6: You know, like the telemarketers call you and you're like,
- 1:41:08Speaker 6: Don't ever call me again.
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: You're getting cussed out by saying, I want some season
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: tickets to Florida State, man. You want to renew. People
- 1:41:14Speaker 1: are cussing you out. That's why I'm renewing. So I
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: think it's going to get to that point. And that's
- 1:41:19Speaker 1: really why Willie Taggart was fired. They saw the projections
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: as far as what was happening from the money standpoint
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: and how things were going to project from the ticket sales.
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: And it just, it was a losing. We were in
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: the red.
- 1:41:30Speaker 1: And I think it's going to happen with Florida State
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: pretty quickly with this Martin Revell situation. That's what you
- 1:41:35Speaker 1: got to make a move for and just understand like, okay, Yes,
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: we owe him $ 40, 000, $ 45, 000, whatever the money is, but
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: the bite isn't that big as far as the totality
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: of the program, how much money you're going to be
- 1:41:48Speaker 1: actually losing. You bring in a new guy and say
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: you win. You win nine, ten games. Hell, if you
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: win ten games in the ACC, you got a chance
- 1:41:55Speaker 1: to make it to the playoffs, right? Within this new era,
- 1:41:58Speaker 1: if you win ten games and do it right, and
- 1:42:00Speaker 1: you can get your money back pretty quickly from just winning.
- 1:42:03Speaker 6: Miami made– I mean, we fought for this. I did
- 1:42:07Speaker 6: a whole video on this. We fought for people to
- 1:42:09Speaker 6: make more money if they were more valuable on the
- 1:42:11Speaker 6: field and on TV. Miami made $ 40 million last year
- 1:42:15Speaker 6: just from going to the national championship. And they have
- 1:42:17Speaker 6: split none of that with the ACC. Indiana made that
- 1:42:20Speaker 6: same $ 40 million, but had to split it 18 ways.
- 1:42:22Speaker 6: Miami basically made Mike's buyout in one year. One year.
- 1:42:25Speaker 6: Going to the national championship. If you got a coach
- 1:42:28Speaker 6: that was serious, and you don't owe Mike that money
- 1:42:29Speaker 6: up front. You owe him it yearly as it pays
- 1:42:31Speaker 6: out 85% by year. If you got a coach that
- 1:42:34Speaker 6: was serious about football, I think Summerall is going to
- 1:42:36Speaker 6: be good. You know, like, I mean, you know, we'll see.
- 1:42:39Speaker 6: Proof will be in the pudding. But if you got
- 1:42:40Speaker 6: a coach that you thought was going to be good,
- 1:42:42Speaker 6: now you might hire another Taggart or Norvell. You never know. Like,
- 1:42:44Speaker 6: Florida hired four bad coaches in a row. You might
- 1:42:46Speaker 6: hire another bad one. But you got to move on
- 1:42:49Speaker 6: because it's not just the money you lose from season
- 1:42:51Speaker 6: ticket sales and donors and all that stuff. It's the
- 1:42:54Speaker 6: opportunity cost you're losing, too. Like I said, Miami hired
- 1:42:56Speaker 6: the right guy. It sucks for us, but Mario clearly
- 1:42:59Speaker 6: is the right guy that can bring in talent and
- 1:43:01Speaker 6: hire good coordinators and win a lot of games in
- 1:43:03Speaker 6: this conference. If you do that, miami just made miami
- 1:43:08Speaker 6: just made the whole freaking buyout in one off season
- 1:43:10Speaker 6: bro that is and it's the most infuriating thing right that's.
- 1:43:14Speaker 1: What i'm saying so if you get the right guy
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: and don't be the right guy in it can be
- 1:43:20Speaker 1: a pretty damn quick turnaround especially in this conference because
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: you're going to be here for for the next few
- 1:43:23Speaker 1: years right within this conference it can be a quick
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: turnaround you get that money in and you like i
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: said you don't have to pay all this money up
- 1:43:30Speaker 1: front yeah in the in the beginning so You can
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: be on the green if you just make the decision
- 1:43:35Speaker 1: and if you hire the right guy. Now, of course,
- 1:43:37Speaker 1: there's a crapshoot where he's the right guy, the wrong guy,
- 1:43:39Speaker 1: but we know clearly we have the wrong guy. So
- 1:43:41Speaker 1: that's already a known commodity as far as Norvell isn't
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: the guy. What you don't know is what the future
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: could bring, so you take that.
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: Chance on it.
- 1:43:52Speaker 6: Who are you hiring, bro? That's what I came here for.
- 1:43:54Speaker 6: I came here for the whiteboard.
- 1:43:55Speaker 3: I already asked him this earlier.
- 1:43:56Speaker 6: Get out the whiteboard, bro. Arlen, I want to hear
- 1:43:58Speaker 6: from you.
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: All right, well, let's do it.
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: Who am I hiring? Let's go, man. I'm going to
- 1:44:03Speaker 2: go Jimbo, man. I'm going to go Jimbo. I like Jimbo.
- 1:44:07Speaker 2: The reason why I like it is, well, I think
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: he would be a good candidate for multiple reasons. Let's
- 1:44:13Speaker 2: say one.
- 1:44:14Speaker 1: What is our money looking like? If you're going to
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: be all in, you're going to pay $ 40 million to Mike.
- 1:44:18Speaker 1: You're going to pay another buyout to a guy that's
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: already coaching $ 40 million. If you got a blank checkbook,
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: let's go do it.
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: This, that, and third.
- 1:44:25Speaker 1: Go get whoever the fuck you want to because you
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: can pay $ 40 to Mike, $ 40 to clear whoever out
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: and then pay the new staff and then have NIL money.
- 1:44:32Speaker 1: If you have that type of money, if you're in
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: a situation to where, okay, we're kind of handicapped a
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: little bit and we got to maneuver in a certain way,
- 1:44:42Speaker 1: you could pay him $ 4 million. You're getting 7.5 and
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: I'm paying him $ 4 million. You don't have to buy
- 1:44:48Speaker 1: out a new coach. Say for instance, you go steal
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: Dan Landon from Oregon, not to pay an Oregon buyout
- 1:44:54Speaker 1: or whatever it may be. You could, focus that money
- 1:44:57Speaker 1: on the new staff and be staff heavy and NIL
- 1:44:59Speaker 1: competent heavy, this, that.
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: And third.
- 1:45:01Speaker 1: If you're tied up from a money standpoint. And what
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: I'm hearing, man, like this, and this is what I'm hearing.
- 1:45:06Speaker 1: This is just third-hand information. Like he's putting together a
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: pretty solid damn staff. And we're trying to put together
- 1:45:12Speaker 1: a pretty solid staff. We all know he's going for
- 1:45:14Speaker 1: the job and he wants it. And he's been reaching
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: out to high school coaches in certain areas and things
- 1:45:19Speaker 1: like that, trying to build those relationships again. If the
- 1:45:24Speaker 1: situation was to open up, So I think he'll be
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: a good candidate. I like this is a guy that
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: won it out last year from USC. If Baylor would
- 1:45:33Speaker 1: have opened up, I believe he would have been the
- 1:45:34Speaker 1: Baylor coach 100%. They would have fired Dave Aranda.
- 1:45:37Speaker 2: I won't have an issue with Lincoln Riley. Yeah.
- 1:45:40Speaker 1: Reason being, we know offense is going to be explosive.
- 1:45:43Speaker 1: It's going to be explosive. You know how to recruit quarterbacks,
- 1:45:45Speaker 1: develop coach quarterbacks. That's the main thing in college football.
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: If you have a good quarterback, you can kind of
- 1:45:49Speaker 1: go from there, right?
- 1:45:51Speaker 2: Trenches. He knows how to recruit the trenches. I've been
- 1:45:54Speaker 2: a big I guess you could say I've been a
- 1:45:59Speaker 2: big critic of Lincoln.
- 1:46:00Speaker 1: Riley as far as his recruiting prowess as far as
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: where he's focusing at. I feel like you should focus
- 1:46:05Speaker 1: in California, that West Coast area. When USC was peak,
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: Pete Carroll dominated the West Coast, right? Lincoln Riley has
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: consistent tapped into Georgia, tapped into Florida, the Southeast as
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: far as recruiting. He's had some wins as well, too.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: He has a lot of defensive linemen. So I say this,
- 1:46:24Speaker 1: he knows where the talent is. He knows where the
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: talent is, and even though he's on the West Coast,
- 1:46:28Speaker 1: he's still recruiting the trenches very good from the Southeast.
- 1:46:31Speaker 1: So you bring that back to the Southeast, there's no
- 1:46:34Speaker 1: doubt in my mind that those South Georgia kids that
- 1:46:36Speaker 1: were born in the USC, they'll be staying in Florida
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: from a defensive line standpoint. And then when they be
- 1:46:40Speaker 1: in Florida State, I know the big question is his
- 1:46:42Speaker 1: defensive coordinator. He can hire a defensive coordinator as long
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: as he recruits the trenches well. He can bring in
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: the guy that's a competent D.C. in Florida, at Florida State,
- 1:46:50Speaker 1: that can be pretty good from a defensive standpoint. So
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: I think Lincoln would be a guy. I know a
- 1:46:54Speaker 1: lot of people feel like that's not obtainable, but I
- 1:46:56Speaker 1: really think it'd be a mutual interest as far as
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: coming back to the South for Lincoln route.
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: I think it'd be a good idea as well.
- 1:47:04Speaker 6: Do you like Rhett? Do you think Rhett would be good?
- 1:47:07Speaker 2: I like Rhett. I do. I like Rhett. Would he
- 1:47:12Speaker 2: leave SMU?
- 1:47:12Speaker 3: Wouldn't his buyout be insane though? Didn't he just sign
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: an extension?
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: I think he did sign an extension, so that would
- 1:47:18Speaker 2: be a question.
- 1:47:19Speaker 6: I don't think his buyout is crazy to leave. I
- 1:47:21Speaker 6: just think, but I don't know if you can claw
- 1:47:23Speaker 6: that real quick, Harlan, but The thing about SMU, I
- 1:47:26Speaker 6: know the perceptions they got out of this money. You
- 1:47:29Speaker 6: know they've never finished with a top 30 class.
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: So that's the thing, too.
- 1:47:32Speaker 6: I don't think they're spending that money like we think.
- 1:47:35Speaker 2: To the point.
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: And even within the portal, they haven't had a big
- 1:47:38Speaker 1: transfer portal.
- 1:47:41Speaker 6: Now, like, maybe we go after them hard and they
- 1:47:44Speaker 6: give them $ 12 million a year or something crazy. You know, like,
- 1:47:46Speaker 6: maybe they do up and spend it. But, like, all
- 1:47:49Speaker 6: this money that we think about SMU having... I ain't
- 1:47:52Speaker 6: seen them flaunting yet. They ain't pulled a Texas Tech yet.
- 1:47:56Speaker 6: I think we think about them like they're Texas Tech.
- 1:47:59Speaker 2: You're talking about the Pony Express days.
- 1:48:01Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:48:02Speaker 6: Now, I know they got it, but I don't think
- 1:48:05Speaker 6: they're spinning it like... I don't know if them checks
- 1:48:08Speaker 6: are flowing like we assume they could. Now, they might.
- 1:48:11Speaker 6: Maybe we pony up. No pun intended, but maybe we
- 1:48:13Speaker 6: try and go get him, and they do go crazy
- 1:48:16Speaker 6: with a contract for him, but I don't think they're
- 1:48:19Speaker 6: doing that right now. We'll see.
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: I can't believe that would be a great from an
- 1:48:24Speaker 1: offensive standpoint. Hell, we know even if it was the
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: offensive coordinator in Miami, he was the only quarterback to
- 1:48:30Speaker 1: actually have... What's the quarterback that was from New Jersey
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: that ended up transferring to Wisconsin?
- 1:48:36Speaker 6: Oh, Van Dyke.
- 1:48:37Speaker 2: He was the only coach to actually Make Van Dyke
- 1:48:40Speaker 2: look like an actual player, in my opinion.
- 1:48:42Speaker 6: Yeah, when he was healthy, Van Dyke was balling.
- 1:48:45Speaker 2: He was.
- 1:48:45Speaker 3: SMU's a private institution, so their contracts are, I guess, secret.
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: You can't know, but the guesstimate is his buyout's about
- 1:48:57Speaker 3: $ 40 million.
- 1:48:59Speaker 6: That's to fire him or to hire him away?
- 1:49:02Speaker 3: To hire him away. You'd have to pay out about
- 1:49:05Speaker 3: $ 40 million.
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: That's the big thing. big issue, right? That's too much.
- 1:49:10Speaker 9: Right.
- 1:49:11Speaker 2: You got to pay the Mike Norvell. You got to
- 1:49:12Speaker 2: pay someone's buyout.
- 1:49:14Speaker 6: And then pay him, too.
- 1:49:15Speaker 7: Correct.
- 1:49:16Speaker 2: To come to Florida State.
- 1:49:17Speaker 6: That's a lot. That's a lot. Dan Lanning's is crazy, too.
- 1:49:22Speaker 6: I need them to lose a few more games this year.
- 1:49:24Speaker 6: I'm cheering UCLA tomorrow. Well, today, I guess now. But
- 1:49:26Speaker 6: I'm cheering UCLA.
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: No, Jimmy Sesson's going to... He's a motherfucker when it
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: comes to his country.
- 1:49:34Speaker 6: Yeah, fuck that guy, bro.
- 1:49:35Speaker 2: I need him to die.
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: It's like a 95% chance you're going to deal with
- 1:49:39Speaker 1: him when it comes to these coaches.
- 1:49:41Speaker 11: I know.
- 1:49:42Speaker 7: I know.
- 1:49:43Speaker 3: So, TJ, you asked CJ who he hired. Who are
- 1:49:45Speaker 3: you hiring?
- 1:49:47Speaker 2: Yeah, give me your list.
- 1:49:49Speaker 6: I don't hate the coordinator route. I think that's worked out. Like,
- 1:49:53Speaker 6: Kirby was a coordinator. Sark was a coordinator. Lanning was
- 1:49:55Speaker 6: a coordinator. A lot of the top coaches in college football, right?
- 1:49:58Speaker 6: Ryan Day was a coordinator. Like, I think that can work,
- 1:50:00Speaker 6: but To me, everything's a crapshoot. I would steer clear
- 1:50:05Speaker 6: of Manny. I don't think I'd go that direction. Jimbo,
- 1:50:08Speaker 6: I'd be fine with if he hired... If Jimbo would
- 1:50:12Speaker 6: CEO it and really be that closer on the trail
- 1:50:15Speaker 6: and be that evaluator and then let an offensive coordinator
- 1:50:19Speaker 6: or defensive coordinator run things, that could work to me.
- 1:50:23Speaker 6: But I don't know that I want Jimbo to be
- 1:50:25Speaker 6: the offensive coordinator, run the offense, all that stuff. There
- 1:50:29Speaker 6: would have to be certain stipulations there Um, so like
- 1:50:31Speaker 6: when you're thinking about coordinators, I like, man, I like Heatherman.
- 1:50:36Speaker 6: I don't know if he would really leave or not.
- 1:50:38Speaker 6: I like, I like both guys in Indiana. I like Schumann.
- 1:50:42Speaker 6: You know, I think there's good coordinators out there. I
- 1:50:44Speaker 6: don't know that there's a, like last year, it felt
- 1:50:46Speaker 6: like there were a lot of group of five guys
- 1:50:47Speaker 6: that look, felt like they made a lot of sense,
- 1:50:49Speaker 6: like Golish and Summerall and all those guys. I don't
- 1:50:52Speaker 6: know if I feel that way. I've heard people talk
- 1:50:54Speaker 6: about Charles Hough. I'm like, man, I can't do that.
- 1:50:58Speaker 2: I do. But Memphis, you want to go back there?
- 1:51:00Speaker 6: I can't do the Memphis thing two times in a row, bro.
- 1:51:03Speaker 2: Like, I just– I know. I do like Charles Hough.
- 1:51:07Speaker 2: He's a vertigo G5.
- 1:51:07Speaker 1: He's probably like the only– him and the boys in
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: state– well, boys are not G5 anymore, are they?
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: I think they're Big 12.
- 1:51:15Speaker 6: No, they're Pac-12 now. So it's kind of fake G5.
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: Yeah, G5 still. But at the same time, it's proximity
- 1:51:21Speaker 1: as far as not being.
- 1:51:24Speaker 6: I think Jake Dickert's a good coach. The only thing
- 1:51:26Speaker 6: I worry about is he's kind of got the Norvell
- 1:51:29Speaker 6: vibes too, though. Not Norvell vibes. I think he's a
- 1:51:32Speaker 6: better coach. But he's winning at Wake, man.
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: And the only thing I don't... And he.
- 1:51:41Speaker 6: Did a good job evaluating talent. The only thing I
- 1:51:43Speaker 6: worry about is can he recruit? I think you've got
- 1:51:45Speaker 6: to find a proven recruiter.
- 1:51:46Speaker 2: There's nothing saying he can't.
- 1:51:50Speaker 6: I don't think Summerall came in as just this ace
- 1:51:52Speaker 6: recruiter that you couldn't miss on. I think Napier was
- 1:51:56Speaker 6: probably thought of as a better recruiter than Summerall before
- 1:51:58Speaker 6: both of them went to Florida. But I don't know, man.
- 1:52:02Speaker 6: If you put effort in, that might be enough. I
- 1:52:06Speaker 6: think that's part of FSU staff's problem is the effort level.
- 1:52:09Speaker 2: That's the thing.
- 1:52:12Speaker 1: It's been so many situations to where these guys had
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: a layup, literally a layup right in front of them.
- 1:52:18Speaker 2: But they just don't take the layup. They make stuff
- 1:52:20Speaker 2: so much harder than what it is. So you're right.
- 1:52:21Speaker 1: If you just put effort in and relay on relationships
- 1:52:25Speaker 1: in certain situations to where it can be easier, like,
- 1:52:28Speaker 1: for instance, you guys know how much I tweet about
- 1:52:31Speaker 1: Mandarin and this, that, and the third and how it
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: was ours for the taking. It was literally ours for
- 1:52:36Speaker 1: the taking if they did what they're supposed to do
- 1:52:38Speaker 1: with that. Levy those relationships. Like, it was no way,
- 1:52:43Speaker 1: they didn't levy those Mandarin relationships that we had in this, that,
- 1:52:45Speaker 1: and the third and it was, and of course we've
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: lost too, but It was literally there, but you got
- 1:52:49Speaker 1: to– that's on me for actually believing in the staff
- 1:52:52Speaker 1: to do their job as well too, right?
- 1:52:54Speaker 6: They're always the bridesmaid, man. Correct.
- 1:52:57Speaker 3: Y'all hate Eli Drinkwits?
- 1:52:59Speaker 6: I don't hate that. I'll tell you what. My favorite
- 1:53:02Speaker 6: SEC stat of all time is that Missouri has never
- 1:53:05Speaker 6: beaten a team that finished above 500 in the SEC.
- 1:53:09Speaker 2: So that's the thing.
- 1:53:10Speaker 1: Like I don't know– I think Drink is an okay coach,
- 1:53:13Speaker 1: but a lot of that stuff be– Fluffing as far
- 1:53:15Speaker 1: as SEC rankings and that type of deal.
- 1:53:18Speaker 2: Yeah, man. I really don't know. He recruited pretty well
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: for Mizzou. Had a pretty good defense.
- 1:53:23Speaker 6: He got in the Warrior a couple years ago. He's
- 1:53:24Speaker 6: done a good job birding all those guys. He's gotten guys.
- 1:53:27Speaker 6: Hardy is there now.
- 1:53:30Speaker 1: How's the defensive end? I'm not sure if you guys
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: remember the defensive end. We had a five-star from Coco
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: that ended up flipping.
- 1:53:36Speaker 2: I don't know what you're talking about.
- 1:53:39Speaker 6: Dude, he's a good recruiter.
- 1:53:43Speaker 2: Right, he had balls committed, too.
- 1:53:45Speaker 6: Yeah, and he... Yeah, the thing about Missouri is, like, see,
- 1:53:52Speaker 6: they'll beat, like, a Thompson in Florida. Yeah, Javion Hilton.
- 1:53:55Speaker 2: He's just not a sexy name, to be honest. He's not.
- 1:53:58Speaker 6: But he might come in and win, you know? But, like,
- 1:54:01Speaker 6: watch this. They beat the shit out of Florida last week.
- 1:54:04Speaker 6: Watch him go lose J & M tomorrow. Or today,
- 1:54:07Speaker 6: I guess now. Like, that's just the story of that,
- 1:54:10Speaker 6: you know?
- 1:54:10Speaker 1: Like.
- 1:54:13Speaker 6: I don't know, man. He wouldn't be the worst hire.
- 1:54:16Speaker 6: Like you could do worse than him for sure. So
- 1:54:20Speaker 6: I would take it, but I don't know.
- 1:54:21Speaker 3: That kid, that kid transferred to Virginia tech, by the way.
- 1:54:25Speaker 2: God damn.
- 1:54:26Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: Well, so much for that.
- 1:54:29Speaker 6: Couldn't cut in the sec, bro.
- 1:54:31Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:54:32Speaker 2: This means more.
- 1:54:35Speaker 6: Um, Franklin, I want Franklin last year.
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: That's what I want.
- 1:54:38Speaker 6: That was my coach.
- 1:54:39Speaker 2: That's the thing. So we really did.
- 1:54:41Speaker 1: Like, We had a perfect situation last year, so I
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: really feel like after that Stanford game, it was the
- 1:54:47Speaker 1: perfect time to cut ties.
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: That was it. We had a guy on Franklin, he
- 1:54:51Speaker 2: was begging for an FSU job.
- 1:54:53Speaker 6: Oh, that's why he waited so long. Virginia Tech finally
- 1:54:55Speaker 6: told him, you're either going to take this or not.
- 1:54:58Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: He was begging for the job because he knew it
- 1:55:00Speaker 1: would have been an easy bang, bang, come in and
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: get rolling. I know a lot of fans were against it,
- 1:55:06Speaker 1: but man, he was You couldn't win the big game.
- 1:55:09Speaker 2: Like, motherfucker, it's fucking Ohio State.
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: Like, yeah, it's not so many people who's beating Ohio
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: State or Michigan the year they were up. Like, it
- 1:55:16Speaker 1: was– whenever those two teams are up in the Big Ten,
- 1:55:20Speaker 1: there's only so much you can do. But I feel
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: like we're Florida State. We're a different team than Penn
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: State in my opinion.
- 1:55:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I agree.
- 1:55:27Speaker 6: They got to– the people in charge got to eventually
- 1:55:29Speaker 6: look at this place like it's different than just, you know,
- 1:55:34Speaker 6: a department that makes them some money on the side.
- 1:55:36Speaker 6: They got to actually care about competing. And we waste
- 1:55:39Speaker 6: our breath and energy and everything else, effort, tears, everything,
- 1:55:43Speaker 6: all that we do. And once they start caring half
- 1:55:46Speaker 6: as much as we do, we'll probably get better.
- 1:55:48Speaker 3: A lot of people will hate to hear this, but
- 1:55:52Speaker 3: I have a very connected source who coached at a
- 1:55:56Speaker 3: high-level school at FSU. What Karen Keillor would tell you, bro?
- 1:56:01Speaker 3: When our president was hired, he told a bunch of
- 1:56:05Speaker 3: the coaches that his number one priority was nowhere near athletics.
- 1:56:08Speaker 3: So I'll just make that known now. And that's our
- 1:56:12Speaker 3: current president at FSU. So, and he told that to
- 1:56:14Speaker 3: all of our head coaches of all sports. So breaking
- 1:56:18Speaker 3: news there, but I'm comfortable releasing that now.
- 1:56:21Speaker 6: But I also feel like that's, I mean, I'm fine
- 1:56:23Speaker 6: with that. If you put a good athletic director, like
- 1:56:26Speaker 6: good leaders are, The best presidents didn't have their hands.
- 1:56:30Speaker 6: I'm talking about from the country standpoint. But the best
- 1:56:33Speaker 6: presidents hired good people around them to run the military
- 1:56:39Speaker 6: and to run education and to run the economy. They
- 1:56:42Speaker 6: put good people around them.
- 1:56:43Speaker 3: If you look at our current situation right now, we
- 1:56:45Speaker 3: have no AD, so who's running it?
- 1:56:46Speaker 6: That's what I'm saying. I'm fine.
- 1:56:48Speaker 3: Everything I've been reading saying is the current president and
- 1:56:51Speaker 3: whoever is going to hire the new AD and the
- 1:56:53Speaker 3: new head coach. Well, if they don't care about athletics,
- 1:56:55Speaker 3: then why are they doing the hiring?
- 1:56:58Speaker 6: Well, and that's my point, is, like, if you want
- 1:57:00Speaker 6: to be hands-off, I'm good with that. I would rather
- 1:57:03Speaker 6: the president be hands-off of this thing. But, like, you've
- 1:57:06Speaker 6: got to hire the right person for that department and
- 1:57:08Speaker 6: then let them do their thing. You know, like, I'm
- 1:57:10Speaker 6: good with you not being your hands in the middle
- 1:57:12Speaker 6: of all of it, but you do got to at
- 1:57:14Speaker 6: least hire somebody. I mean, that's a multi... I mean,
- 1:57:16Speaker 6: Florida State Athletics pulled in, like, $ 200 million last year. Like,
- 1:57:20Speaker 6: it's not, like, a small thing. Like, you hire a
- 1:57:23Speaker 6: good person to run it, and then you get your
- 1:57:25Speaker 6: hands off of it and let them run it.
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: And that's what dog shit football. Like, come on. Right.
- 1:57:29Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:57:29Speaker 6: Like, imagine what you could be doing. You know, Tennessee
- 1:57:31Speaker 6: was up, like, 250, 300. Like, and they're not good either.
- 1:57:35Speaker 6: They went 75. You know, like, you just got to
- 1:57:38Speaker 6: hire somebody good in that role and let them roll
- 1:57:41Speaker 6: with things. But I don't know, man. Wasting my breath
- 1:57:45Speaker 6: right now.
- 1:57:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:57:46Speaker 1: Wasting my breath until we actually make a move. And
- 1:57:49Speaker 1: hopefully we'll see within this next week or so if
- 1:57:52Speaker 1: Miami can do what we think Miami can do. how
- 1:57:54Speaker 1: serious these guys are because the rumors are only going
- 1:57:58Speaker 1: to get louder, especially after next week.
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: It's going to be a tough week as it is
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: right now.
- 1:58:03Speaker 6: I'm hoping they just slide it in right before. Slide
- 1:58:07Speaker 6: that announcement out, 1155. right as game day is ending.
- 1:58:13Speaker 2: Don't even give Miami the satisfaction.
- 1:58:15Speaker 6: News dump that right before the game started at noon
- 1:58:19Speaker 6: and just get it going, bro.
- 1:58:20Speaker 2: Don't even give them the satisfaction. We're going to that
- 1:58:22Speaker 2: game with a clean slate.
- 1:58:24Speaker 6: Oh, I'll cheer for FSU hard that day.
- 1:58:26Speaker 2: Exactly. The narrative completely flips.
- 1:58:29Speaker 6: I'll be Ashley Daniels' biggest fan, bro. Bring it on. Now,
- 1:58:33Speaker 6: I do– listen, quick shout-out. I got to get out
- 1:58:35Speaker 6: of here. I got to– it's 1 o'clock, bro. CJ,
- 1:58:37Speaker 6: what you got?
- 1:58:38Speaker 2: Maybe we'll wrap it up after this and we'll go ahead.
- 1:58:40Speaker 6: Shout-out my boy Cromwell, man. I love that kid. Down 21,
- 1:58:43Speaker 6: he's dragging people. Somebody commented on my show. We were
- 1:58:46Speaker 6: watching it live, and they were like, hey, man, I
- 1:58:48Speaker 6: think their effort's not good. I'm not going to speak
- 1:58:50Speaker 6: for all 22 guys that are on the field. But
- 1:58:52Speaker 6: I know that Crowball down 21 was dragging motherfuckers. Like,
- 1:58:55Speaker 6: shout out that kid.
- 1:58:56Speaker 1: I know people want to give him a flag about
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: that four. I know he felt bad about.
- 1:59:00Speaker 2: It as well, too.
- 1:59:01Speaker 1: It was a first down, 100%. But he's going to
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: give effort, man. That's one thing about him. He's going
- 1:59:07Speaker 1: to give effort 100%. I really hope we can retain
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: him with this new staff for sure.
- 1:59:11Speaker 6: Prayers up. Because he's my favorite player on the team.
- 1:59:13Speaker 6: It's not close. I love that kid.
- 1:59:15Speaker 2: TJ, appreciate you joining, man. It's been a pleasure.
- 1:59:17Speaker 6: Appreciate you, CJ. Appreciate what you do, man.
- 1:59:20Speaker 2: Yes, sir. Let the people know they can find you
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: at over at Double Fries, no slaw.
- 1:59:24Speaker 6: Yeah, just type that in. Don't watch tonight's show, man.
- 1:59:26Speaker 6: I got a little rowdy, so don't watch. Watch everything.
- 1:59:30Speaker 6: Subscribe on Sunday. Don't be subscribing to that. Don't go
- 1:59:33Speaker 6: look at it tonight. Hey, man. I appreciate you, man.
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: All right, bro.
- 1:59:38Speaker 6: Appreciate you, brother.
- 1:59:39Speaker 7: Thanks, man.
