  Speaker 2: What prayer did for me was was it tied me

  Speaker 2: to my creator. It gave me a sense and I'm

  Speaker 2: describing it this way, but I'm telling you it's deeper

  Speaker 2: than this. But it gave me a sense that I

  Speaker 2: wasn't alone, and at actuality I wasn't. But prayer helped

  Speaker 2: connect me to the power source that was available to

  Speaker 2: me to get through, get around, or get over whatever

  Speaker 2: it was that was in the way, whether it was
• 1:54
  Speaker 2: just a period I stretched, I had to go through

  Speaker 2: hard work. It had the period I had to go

  Speaker 2: through through to learn some lessons, some periods I had

  Speaker 2: to go through from having to pay for some of

  Speaker 2: the mistakes I've made. Whatever the case may be, Prayer

  Speaker 2: gave me a decided advantage, especially oh here we go,

  Speaker 2: especially over my enemies. Now, the majority of people in

  Speaker 2: my life that were my enemies, I didn't want them

  Speaker 2: to be my enemies, make no mistake about this. But

  Speaker 2: through the thing called life, some things went down. Some

  Speaker 2: things happened from here and then went over here that way,

  Speaker 2: and a person became my enemy. The majority of enemies

  Speaker 2: I have came out of nowhere. I have no reason

  Speaker 2: to even see why they are my enemies. But you know,

  Speaker 2: life goes on, man, It happens from time to time.

  Speaker 2: Some people just won't let it go. See. Some people,

  Speaker 2: in their quest to do something to you or to

  Speaker 2: make you pay, they just won't let it go. But

  Speaker 2: it may cause you some discomforting and some of it

  Speaker 2: may be lies about you and all of this and

  Speaker 2: all of that, but that that can't prohibit you from

  Speaker 2: going forward. So what I'm saying is prayer gave me

  Speaker 2: the strength wisdom understanding the carriage should either go through it,
• 3:23
  Speaker 2: go around it, or go over it. But it happened.

  Speaker 2: I do not know how I could have made it
• 3:33
  Speaker 2: without faith and without prayer. It would have something would

  Speaker 2: have got me. YouTube would have got me. The bloggers

  Speaker 2: would have got me. My partners that I grew up with,

  Speaker 2: that used to laugh behind my back, they would have
• 3:53
  Speaker 2: got me. My friend that went over my mother's house

  Speaker 2: one time and told her, you know what, Steeves, the

  Speaker 2: problem is he out there telling them jokes. He just lazy,

  Speaker 2: he don't want to work. That would have got me.

  Speaker 2: They didn't know. I ain't really mad at them because

  Speaker 2: they were just All they was doing was basing their
• 4:14
  Speaker 2: conversations and pasting judgment based on what they knew, based
• 4:19
  Speaker 2: on what they believed. They didn't believe I was gonna
• 4:22
  Speaker 2: make it. But that's them though. If it was not

  Speaker 2: for the faith, which is the belief in things that
• 4:30
  Speaker 2: you cannot see. I wouldn't have made it because I
• 4:34
  Speaker 2: would have listened to everybody else who didn't see me
• 4:37
  Speaker 2: get in here and went along with it. And then prayer.

  Speaker 2: Oh my goodness, man, how many times has prayer bailed
• 4:46
  Speaker 2: me out? Prayer has bailed me out, press still bailing

  Speaker 2: me out. Tell you the truth, man, quiet as it's kept. Prayer,

  Speaker 2: that connection to your heavenly Father, that connection to your creator,

  Speaker 2: that connection to that source of power and inspiration, that

  Speaker 2: connection of never feeling that you were alone. You know,

  Speaker 2: I was watching the Bishop Jakes on TV yesterday and
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: it was a repeat, and one of the things he
• 5:18
  Speaker 2: was talking about, well, let me just get to the
• 5:22
  Speaker 2: gist of it. I was going through a portion of
• 5:26
  Speaker 2: my life, and I went through it for some years, y'all.

  Speaker 2: I had gotten myself into a jam that lasted for years,
• 5:35
  Speaker 2: I'm telling you, for years, with some serious consequences to follow.

  Speaker 2: For years. And I was so busy looking at where
• 5:49
  Speaker 2: I was at. I was sulking. Sometimes, man, I'd get
• 5:55
  Speaker 2: on the radio, man, I'd be just done. I was sulking.

  Speaker 2: My spirit had gotten low. I had gotten tired of

  Speaker 2: the fight, and would I would come on some mornings, Man,

  Speaker 2: and I would try try not to let on, but
• 6:12
  Speaker 2: I was hurting. I was because I had been in
• 6:14
  Speaker 2: for years. Man, I had been in this thing for years.

  Speaker 2: And one thing I was doing, I was so busy

  Speaker 2: looking at where I was at. And when I was
• 6:24
  Speaker 2: watching Bishop Jakes, he preached this sermon. He was talking
• 6:30
  Speaker 2: about so busy looking at where you at that you
• 6:39
  Speaker 2: don't even realize that God has been with you the
• 6:45
  Speaker 2: entire time. And you know what, Man, just yesterday, just yesterday,
• 6:52
  Speaker 2: I heard this and I text him. I text Bishop
• 6:55
  Speaker 2: Jakes and I thanked him because it was an old
• 6:58
  Speaker 2: message I could tell and I call, I text him

  Speaker 2: up and I said, Man, thank you so much. I

  Speaker 2: was just watching you on TV and you told me, Man,

  Speaker 2: something that I'll always remember that whatever you're going through,

  Speaker 2: that he's there with you the whole time. But see

  Speaker 2: when sometimes when you're so busy looking at where you at,

  Speaker 2: you don't even notice where he is. And see sometimes, Man,

  Speaker 2: that helped me, and that's going to help me in

  Speaker 2: the future to realize that what I'm going through, that

  Speaker 2: he's there. He's there with me, and he gonna protect

  Speaker 2: me and he ain't gonna let my enemies overcome me,

  Speaker 2: and He ain't gonna let nobody overtake me, and he

  Speaker 2: ain't gonna let me go on them because he's there.

  Speaker 2: It's just you can't be so busy looking at where

  Speaker 2: you at that you don't take notice of where he at.

  Speaker 2: God is always there, He's always available, and the best

  Speaker 2: way to tap into that and know it is you

  Speaker 2: got to pray. Prayer has changed my life. Prayer can

  Speaker 2: change your life. You can become something if you just pray.
