- 0:04Speaker 1: All right, all right, Commentory Alive from Philly. It's the
- 0:09Speaker 1: Polio Donty Foolsco. Say yeahs always Polly Foolsco. Here with
- 0:16Speaker 1: Tony Foolsco and Tony Yo. Huge show today NFL Week
- 0:22Speaker 1: one and three. Things have already happened that you could
- 0:25Speaker 1: one bank on the Eagles making another Super Bowl run,
- 0:30Speaker 1: the Cowboys quarterback getting injured, and Skip Bayliss that unoriginal
- 0:36Speaker 1: hack stealing one of our takes. Yeah, instead of calling
- 0:40Speaker 1: that show undisputed, they should call it uncredited. Yeah, be original. Anyway,
- 0:47Speaker 1: to discuss this breaking development, joining us from Dallas in
- 0:51Speaker 1: a few minutes, Cowboys linebacker Micah Possums. I'm looking forward
- 0:57Speaker 1: to discussing it with him. But first, some quick business.
- 1:02Speaker 1: A message from our friends at Lincoln. Are you unemployed? Well,
- 1:07Speaker 1: now you have no excuse your lazy third. Isn't that right, Tony? Yeah,
- 1:12Speaker 1: go on LinkedIn. You'll get a job in like two seconds.
- 1:15Speaker 1: You bumm LinkedIn, grow up and get a job already LinkedIn. Okay,
- 1:21Speaker 1: Well that wraps up our business, so let's get right
- 1:23Speaker 1: into our top story story. Alright, Well, the NFL is
- 1:30Speaker 1: all about tradition, and that Dak Prescott is continuing the
- 1:34Speaker 1: proud tradition started by Tony Romo of Cowboys Quartabac's having
- 1:38Speaker 1: the bodies of a two dollar pinata. Uh. You know,
- 1:41Speaker 1: Dak Prescott out for seven games, and you know we
- 1:43Speaker 1: said it here first first, that the Cowboys will be
- 1:47Speaker 1: even better without Dak. But as usual, Skip Bayliss over
- 1:52Speaker 1: at Fox continues to copy our takes shamelessly. Listen to
- 1:58Speaker 1: this plagiarist strike get Cooper Rush is almost as good
- 2:02Speaker 1: as Dac, and sometimes I think he can be a
- 2:04Speaker 1: little more consistent than that. Well you win his Dac
- 2:07Speaker 1: ever shown you any routine consistent? You need to put
- 2:09Speaker 1: that in a rufcase and won't go out of here.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Uh doesn't that sound a little familiar? Tony? Yeah, I
- 2:17Speaker 1: thought I was listening to myself. I said that like
- 2:20Speaker 1: two weeks ago. Yes you did. And you know, when
- 2:24Speaker 1: it comes to evaluating quarterbacks, we all know there's only
- 2:27Speaker 1: one stat that matters, and of course I'm talking about
- 2:30Speaker 1: Korea win percentage with no minimum on games played. All
- 2:35Speaker 1: you have to do is look up the winning percentage
- 2:38Speaker 1: for Cooper Rush and you'll see that it is a
- 2:40Speaker 1: perfect NFL record one And that's only half the story there,
- 2:46Speaker 1: right Tony. Yeah, you also have to look at his
- 2:49Speaker 1: preseason stats. Cooper Rush also went two and one in
- 2:53Speaker 1: the preseason. The NFL keeps preseason stats on their website,
- 2:58Speaker 1: which shows you just how important and they are. Of course,
- 3:01Speaker 1: you want to queb who wins the game when it matters,
- 3:04Speaker 1: But to me, it's more impressive for a QB to
- 3:07Speaker 1: win the game when it doesn't matter. Terrific point, don'ty?
- 3:12Speaker 1: And you know, to me, I've always wondered. You know,
- 3:14Speaker 1: it makes no sense why we don't count preseason wins
- 3:17Speaker 1: when discussing quarterbacks. I mean, I know this is totally obvious,
- 3:21Speaker 1: but it must be said. The hardest games to win
- 3:24Speaker 1: are not playoff games that preseason games. I mean you're
- 3:27Speaker 1: playing with a bunch of future growthery clerks and bank tellers.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I mean, if you can win a game with those loses,
- 3:33Speaker 1: that's better that winning a super Bowl. This isn't that, right, Tony? Absolutely?
- 3:39Speaker 1: This is why when I did my last all time
- 3:41Speaker 1: quarterback rankings, I had Joe Webb at number forty two,
- 3:45Speaker 1: Chase Daniel at number thirty seven, Jake Ruddock at number
- 3:49Speaker 1: thirty two, and right behind Donovan McNabb, Nate Sudfell, that
- 3:55Speaker 1: number three makes total sense all around. And you know
- 4:00Speaker 1: what I also like about Cooper Rush. Tony has a
- 4:02Speaker 1: great quarterback name and that matters a lot too when
- 4:06Speaker 1: evaluating a quarterback, doesn't it totally? People always say Dak
- 4:11Speaker 1: Prescott is a great rushing quarterback, but look at Cooper Rush.
- 4:15Speaker 1: His name is Rush. Meanwhile, Dak rhymes with sack and
- 4:21Speaker 1: that's troubling. Absolutely. And on the subject of troubling signs,
- 4:25Speaker 1: this is what they call them the business A segue
- 4:27Speaker 1: for all the kids out there listening to Sound Done,
- 4:30Speaker 1: you'll learn something. What an embarrassment for Sean McVeigh and
- 4:34Speaker 1: the so called Super Bowl champion Rams getting blown out
- 4:38Speaker 1: by the Bills in Week one? And you know, to me, Tony,
- 4:41Speaker 1: this taints their entire Super Bowl. You know they love
- 4:45Speaker 1: to tell you the Super Bowl is the most important
- 4:48Speaker 1: game of the season. A right, of course, not everyone's injured,
- 4:52Speaker 1: you know, died, banging up. You're getting their worst, But
- 4:56Speaker 1: in week one you're getting their best. Everyone's friends ready
- 5:00Speaker 1: to go, isn't that right? Downing, Absolutely, the way you
- 5:04Speaker 1: start the season is more important than how you finished
- 5:08Speaker 1: the season. We see this all the time in movies.
- 5:11Speaker 1: People always say movies need a good ending, But what
- 5:14Speaker 1: about the beginning. If a movie doesn't have a good beginning,
- 5:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna leave the theater and not even stick around
- 5:21Speaker 1: for the ending. This is why that movie by m
- 5:25Speaker 1: Night Shamalian, The Village, is one of my old time favorites.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Great beginning, what's up with this village? Why does it
- 5:33Speaker 1: look like the seventeen hundreds? What's going on over there
- 5:36Speaker 1: in the woods? I needed to know? So I stuck
- 5:39Speaker 1: it out. And while the ending was okay, I never
- 5:43Speaker 1: forgot about how good the beginning was. Truer words have
- 5:48Speaker 1: never been spoken. And you know, Tony, the Rams are
- 5:52Speaker 1: not the only ones on the hook here. The Bills
- 5:54Speaker 1: themselves are to be blamed for their embarrassing performance in
- 5:58Speaker 1: Week one. You know, people say, the big story here
- 6:01Speaker 1: is that the Bills won the game. No, no, no,
- 6:03Speaker 1: that's what we do on this show. We tell you
- 6:05Speaker 1: what the real story is. That's what we do. For
- 6:08Speaker 1: the third time in the last four games, the Bills
- 6:11Speaker 1: did not punt the ball once. And Tony, this is
- 6:16Speaker 1: just so disrespectful with all the proud punters throughout all
- 6:21Speaker 1: of NFL history. Isn't that right? Absolutely, the game is
- 6:26Speaker 1: called football, and that tells you right there that punting
- 6:30Speaker 1: is the most important part of the game. I mean,
- 6:33Speaker 1: this is why I never liked ESPN's NFL Prime Time.
- 6:37Speaker 1: You know, with Chris Berman and Tim Jim Bob whatever
- 6:41Speaker 1: that guy's name was, they never showed any punts. I
- 6:45Speaker 1: was always confused watching highlights because they didn't show how
- 6:48Speaker 1: the other team got the ball back. Was there a turnover,
- 6:51Speaker 1: loss of downs? I never knew. Nobody did. And you know, Tony,
- 6:56Speaker 1: you bring up a great point here, because this is
- 6:58Speaker 1: what I've never understood. You know, people love seeing highlights
- 7:02Speaker 1: where you know, the quarterback crows the ball, the balls
- 7:04Speaker 1: flying high through the air. Right, well, what flies higher
- 7:08Speaker 1: and further than the past a punt? It's so clear.
- 7:12Speaker 1: And you know, this is why I think ESPN and
- 7:15Speaker 1: now the Buffalo Bills, they owe an apology to all
- 7:19Speaker 1: the proud punters throughout NFL history. You know, of course,
- 7:24Speaker 1: you know I'm talking about household names we all know,
- 7:26Speaker 1: like Jeff Fiagels, Yeah, Tom Tuka, Yeah, Rick Tuton who
- 7:33Speaker 1: the list just goes on and on, doesn't sure, does
- 7:37Speaker 1: hats off to all of you? Yes, hats off to
- 7:40Speaker 1: you anyway. Uh, it's now time on the show where
- 7:43Speaker 1: we go to our guests. So let's get our guests
- 7:46Speaker 1: on the full SCO satellite network, Satellite work, all right,
- 7:52Speaker 1: to discuss the injury that Dak Prescott joining us on
- 7:57Speaker 1: the line right now live from Dallas. Uh, Boys defensive
- 8:01Speaker 1: rookie of the year. Uh. He's also a standout at
- 8:04Speaker 1: Penn State, now entering his second season in the NFL.
- 8:09Speaker 1: We welcome him to the show. Mica Parsons welcome. Uh?
- 8:16Speaker 1: Where is he? Hello? Mica? Where are you? Where is he? Mica?
- 8:22Speaker 1: You can you hear us? This is Polly Fusco, Micah,
- 8:26Speaker 1: you're on the air. Hello. Is there something wrong with
- 8:30Speaker 1: the signal? Jay? Jay? What are you doing? What are
- 8:34Speaker 1: you doing? Jay? Did you confirm? Did you confirm? You know?
- 8:41Speaker 1: He did this the other day on the disputed You
- 8:43Speaker 1: didn't show up there. Why would you book him on
- 8:45Speaker 1: this show if you know that's gonna happen? Don't you
- 8:48Speaker 1: know the first rule of broadcasting? Never questioned the host
- 8:52Speaker 1: while on the air. Absolutely unprofessional by you. You know
- 8:56Speaker 1: you caught to blame for this. Yeah, we're gonna have
- 8:59Speaker 1: to call friends at LinkedIn boily tell them we need
- 9:03Speaker 1: a new producer. All right, anyway, let's just move on
- 9:06Speaker 1: and wrap the show. Yeah all right, Uh, we're not
- 9:09Speaker 1: gonna thank Mica pos Oh no, j show what they're
- 9:16Speaker 1: still corrections and according to you, just get to hurry up.
- 9:20Speaker 1: Just go, Look, we need to fill the time anyway, Yes,
- 9:23Speaker 1: so letry go it. Yeah what you said, Cooper Rush
- 9:27Speaker 1: is a great Russian quarterback because he has rushed in
- 9:30Speaker 1: his last name. Yeah what last year in the one
- 9:34Speaker 1: game Cooper Rush started, he ran for negative eight yards.
- 9:38Speaker 1: That's the opposite of a running quarterback. Oh yeah, well
- 9:42Speaker 1: you're the opposite of a smart person. Yeah, we're going
- 9:46Speaker 1: to rush to replace you now, exactly what go? Just go.
- 9:53Speaker 1: You mentioned NFL primetime host and failed to remember the
- 9:57Speaker 1: name of the other host. Ye, his name is Tom Jackson.
- 10:02Speaker 1: He was a three time pro bowler. Yeah, you should
- 10:05Speaker 1: probably know his name. Oh yeah, well you should probably
- 10:09Speaker 1: know the number for the unemployment office. Yeah, here's a
- 10:13Speaker 1: little help. It's one eight hundred. You'll suck at your
- 10:17Speaker 1: job now to thank you one more, you said the
- 10:24Speaker 1: director of the village was m Knight, Shamallean or whatever. Yeah, Sam,
- 10:31Speaker 1: he's the best not not even close. It's m night Shamalan.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah, well after the show, I'm gonna run you
- 10:42Speaker 1: oga with my Shamalan moa. Yeah. If this was the
- 10:47Speaker 1: seventeen hundreds like it was in the Village, you'd be
- 10:50Speaker 1: beheaded by now. Yeah, look at him, Pauli. Show is
- 10:55Speaker 1: like a Shamalian movie. At the end we find out
- 10:58Speaker 1: our producer has been dead all along. Yeah, where you go? Anyway,
- 11:03Speaker 1: enough out of you and you know that's let us
- 11:05Speaker 1: move on to the end of the show, Tony. Let's
- 11:07Speaker 1: not spoil what was otherwise a great show. By the way,
- 11:11Speaker 1: Great news Tony next week coming in to talk about
- 11:14Speaker 1: his experience on the Colts and winning the Super Bowl.
- 11:17Speaker 1: Nick will be can't wait for that. Nic sure to
- 11:21Speaker 1: follow us on our many social platforms which are just
- 11:24Speaker 1: blowing up ante of the day, and Tony, great job
- 11:29Speaker 1: as always, same to you, Holy another flowlish there you go.
- 11:35Speaker 1: We'll see if people see
