- 0:00Sean McAllister: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 85.
- 0:04Dayna Roselli: We visit Resorts World over Labor Day weekend.
- 0:06Dayna Roselli: There is so much to discuss.
- 0:08Dayna Roselli: Sean and I keep talking about it, so we're gonna go through the whole rundown.
- 0:12Sean McAllister: Plus, the countdown is on to the opening of Zook Nightclub at Resorts World.
- 0:19Sean McAllister: Hear that.
- 0:30SPEAKER_01: It's really updated compared to what it had felt like for so long at the joint.
- 0:36Sean McAllister: Then our up close encounter with 50 Cent on the strip, and Kevin Costner has a band?
- 0:42Sean McAllister: Who knew?
- 0:43Sean McAllister: Let's spin the wheel and get right to it.
- 0:57Dayna Roselli: Welcome to Vegas Revealed, episode 85.
- 1:01Dayna Roselli: We're inching toward 100.
- 1:03Dayna Roselli: Thanks everyone for your support and your donations this week.
- 1:06Dayna Roselli: I'm Dana Roselli.
- 1:08Sean McAllister: And I'm Sean McAllister, and we are still recovering from Labor Day weekend here in Las Vegas because Labor Day was huge.
- 1:16Dayna Roselli: It really was.
- 1:17Dayna Roselli: Lots of people in town, lots of visitors.
- 1:19Dayna Roselli: I had at least two people I knew from out of Las Vegas in town for the weekend, so I had to try and fit everyone in.
- 1:26Sean McAllister: Yeah, we had visitors staying at our house for Labor Day weekend, so we were bouncing all over the place, doing brunch, doing shows, doing sightseeing, the whole nine.
- 1:36Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 1:36Dayna Roselli: And one place we were both at, which we went separately, but I was like, oh, I went to Resorts World over the weekend.
- 1:43Dayna Roselli: And then you were like, oh, so did I, and we were comparing notes.
- 1:46Dayna Roselli: And so we haven't done an update on Resorts World in a little while.
- 1:48Dayna Roselli: So we thought, let's get to it.
- 1:50Dayna Roselli: Because I've seen a lot of people talking about it on Twitter, and uh uh some people saying uh it still has a lot of work to do, you know, they aren't they aren't sure if they're in yet, you know.
- 2:00Dayna Roselli: Like I'm not so sure about Resorts World.
- 2:02Dayna Roselli: And so I wanted to talk about my experience there.
- 2:04Dayna Roselli: You wanted to talk about yours.
- 2:06Dayna Roselli: How was yours?
- 2:07Sean McAllister: Mine was pretty good.
- 2:08Sean McAllister: So we went after brunch on a Sunday afternoon.
- 2:13Dayna Roselli: Oh, so you were tipsy.
- 2:14Sean McAllister: So we we just needed to kill some time.
- 2:17Dayna Roselli: Okay.
- 2:18Sean McAllister: So we went over, hung out at Resorts World.
- 2:20Sean McAllister: Our our friends were in town, so we showed them around.
- 2:23Sean McAllister: I thought it was it was fine.
- 2:25Sean McAllister: First of all, getting there, a lot of people have been asking about the parking situation and whether or not they're requiring you to pay to self-park.
- 2:35Sean McAllister: And I was a little nervous because as we pulled into the garage, we did have to take a ticket and wait for the little arm to go up to get into the garage.
- 2:44Sean McAllister: And so I was like, Oh, is Labor Day weekend when they're finally gonna, you know, pull the plug on free parking, and this is it, I guess.
- 2:53Sean McAllister: But on the way out, we didn't have to pay.
- 2:56Sean McAllister: The arm just went up as we pulled up to the little machine.
- 2:59Dayna Roselli: So maybe it's like practice run.
- 3:01Sean McAllister: I don't know, it seems like it.
- 3:02Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that you want to get the arm working and make it move quick so everyone can come and go because you know that's my biggest pet peeve.
- 3:09Dayna Roselli: It is, I know.
- 3:10Dayna Roselli: When I went there, um, my friend that I was with was like, just valet, I'll pay for it.
- 3:14Dayna Roselli: And because I've just assumed it cost a valet, but when I pulled in, I'm like, is valet free?
- 3:19Dayna Roselli: And the guy's like, for now, yeah.
- 3:20Dayna Roselli: So it was great.
- 3:21Dayna Roselli: Valet is still free, and you're right there in the front entrance.
- 3:24Dayna Roselli: So FYI, take advantage.
- 3:27Dayna Roselli: No date has been announced for paid parking yet, so for now, it's free.
- 3:32Sean McAllister: And another place I noticed as we were walking around is uh there's an elevator bank with a sign for the Starlight Lounge, with which looked like it was up on like the 66th floor or something.
- 3:44Dayna Roselli: Yeah, it was.
- 3:45Dayna Roselli: And I've seen a couple posts on social media, so it piqued my interest.
- 3:48Dayna Roselli: So while we were there, and again, I was with my friend who was visiting, who loves to travel all around.
- 3:53Dayna Roselli: By the way, he loved Resorts World, and I was glad to hear it, because he visits a lot of hotels.
- 3:58Dayna Roselli: But I said, let's go up to the 66th floor, because from what I've seen on social media, I've seen some pretty pictures of a lounge up there with a great view.
- 4:06Dayna Roselli: So we just went up, and a lot of people wonder if you have to have like some sort of permission to get up there, if you need to be staying there, because it is in the Conrad Tower.
- 4:16Dayna Roselli: Okay, so no, you go up to the elevator and you hit floor 66, you walk off, and it's funny because there's kind of like a guy standing there, and it's almost like you're like, you feel like you're in this exclusive place, and he's like, you know, welcome.
- 4:29Dayna Roselli: And then I'm like, Well, where do we go?
- 4:30Dayna Roselli: And they're like, these the lounge is that way, and there's gaming this way.
- 4:34Dayna Roselli: And so there was this room with um just a few table games in there, and people were playing, yeah.
- 4:39Dayna Roselli: And then there was great paintings all over.
- 4:41Dayna Roselli: Um, there was a Princess Diana painting and a Prince Charles, and um, then you can circle down this hallway and you walk into the Starlight Lounge, which is dark with lots of like uh, you know, chocolatey colors and dim lights and couches, and so you can go in there.
- 4:59Dayna Roselli: Apparently, you need to reserve the couch areas ahead of time, but there's plenty of room at the bar.
- 5:04Dayna Roselli: The bar is in the center, and it's surrounded by glass with an incredible view of the Las Vegas Strip.
- 5:09Sean McAllister: And which direction does it look on the strip?
- 5:12Sean McAllister: Is it looking like south towards Caesar's Palace or north up towards the stratosphere?
- 5:17Sean McAllister: Really?
- 5:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 5:18Dayna Roselli: So one side is facing the other, you know, north, and the other side is facing south.
- 5:22Dayna Roselli: I think the only there's an area where so you can't sit out on the pedio, but there's an area where you can walk out to like look outside, take pictures, and that faces south.
- 5:32Dayna Roselli: So you can open the door, go out there, take some pictures.
- 5:35Dayna Roselli: Lots of people were there, but then it has glass on each side.
- 5:39Dayna Roselli: So the bar is kind of like, you know, in the center, and then there's couch areas to the north and couch areas to the south.
- 5:46Sean McAllister: Oh, very cool.
- 5:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, they had really cool cocktails, and you know, the wait staff was really nice.
- 5:51Dayna Roselli: I just loved it.
- 5:52Dayna Roselli: I loved the whole thing.
- 5:53Dayna Roselli: I was sitting there with my friend who was visiting, and he said, you know, there are not a lot of things like this in Las Vegas.
- 5:58Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, what do you mean?
- 5:59Dayna Roselli: There's tons of lounges.
- 6:00Dayna Roselli: And he was like, No, there are not a lot of lounges that are at the top of resorts that have a view.
- 6:07Dayna Roselli: And I was like, you know what?
- 6:08Dayna Roselli: He's kind of right.
- 6:09Dayna Roselli: You know, there's a couple at Mandalay Bay.
- 6:12Sean McAllister: Right.
- 6:13Dayna Roselli: And then there's obviously the Strat, which is way north on the strip.
- 6:17Dayna Roselli: And I guess you can eat dinner at Paris, Las Vegas.
- 6:21Dayna Roselli: True.
- 6:21Sean McAllister: Or go to the top of the Eiffel Tower.
- 6:23Dayna Roselli: But yeah.
- 6:24Dayna Roselli: And then there's the one at the Waldorf Astoria that's kind of in the center of the strip, but even that's not like all the way at the top.
- 6:30Sean McAllister: No, that's like midway up the building.
- 6:32Sean McAllister: You still get a good view.
- 6:33Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 6:33Sean McAllister: But um, yeah, you're I guess.
- 6:35Dayna Roselli: Isn't that weird?
- 6:36Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you're I've never thought about it.
- 6:37Sean McAllister: I mean, I never really thought about that either.
- 6:39Sean McAllister: It seems like a no-brainer, doesn't it?
- 6:40Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 6:41Dayna Roselli: It does seem like a no-brainer.
- 6:42Dayna Roselli: And the picture I took was getting a lot of comments on social media.
- 6:45Dayna Roselli: They're like, oh, it looks like like you're in a helicopter.
- 6:47Dayna Roselli: I'm like, no, it's I guess we don't see this shot a lot, besides from folks that go on the helicopter tours over the strip because there isn't one.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: Wow.
- 6:56Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so it was beautiful.
- 6:58Dayna Roselli: I loved it.
- 6:59Dayna Roselli: If you get a chance, go to Starlight 66.
- 7:01Dayna Roselli: Uh, you'll definitely enjoy yourself.
- 7:03Dayna Roselli: Go grab a drink or make a night of it.
- 7:05Sean McAllister: Well, and we ended up on a patio uh at another place on property at Resorts World, and this was at the store called Pepper in the retail area of Resorts World.
- 7:18Sean McAllister: And you may remember if you listen to our podcast back when Resorts World opened, we spoke with the owners of this store, Pepper, uh, Sarah and Lincoln.
- 7:28Sean McAllister: Uh, and this is a it's all about sensual connection and very unique.
- 7:35Sean McAllister: Very unique and super classy.
- 7:38Sean McAllister: The store wasn't open when we had uh spoken with the owners, so I wanted to stop back in and see what the store looked like and super, super classy.
- 7:48Sean McAllister: Um, and so if you're expecting it to be like a a sex shop that's down off the strip, it's not like that at all.
- 7:55Sean McAllister: Right, okay.
- 7:56Sean McAllister: No, this could be any high-end uh boutique, really, and it's really nice.
- 8:01Sean McAllister: And Sarah happened to be there, and so she gave us the the grand tour, and we went back into the VIP room.
- 8:07Sean McAllister: Uh and it is really cool.
- 8:09Sean McAllister: You push a button on the wall, and the the wall slides open.
- 8:12Sean McAllister: You go down this hallway, it's all like a a mirror, a red mirrored glass on the walls with like vertical lights.
- 8:22Sean McAllister: It almost felt like I was in a hip-hop video or something.
- 8:25Sean McAllister: Um, and then there's another door that slides open, and you get go into this lounge that has a patio that overlooks the strip.
- 8:35Sean McAllister: Which is it's a great area, and they were setting up to have a private event in that uh space as we were getting the little tour.
- 8:45Sean McAllister: Um, but definitely check out Pepper.
- 8:47Sean McAllister: They are having their grand opening uh the first weekend of October.
- 8:53Sean McAllister: Um, so we may pop over there and talk to them more about it.
- 8:57Sean McAllister: But it's a great spot to check out if you find yourself at Resorts World.
- 9:00Dayna Roselli: I saw a couple people walking around with bags that said Pepper.
- 9:03Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 9:04Dayna Roselli: People were buying stuff.
- 9:05Sean McAllister: Well, listen, we even walked away with uh a bag of coffee and can uh a candle.
- 9:11Dayna Roselli: Oh, okay for the house.
- 9:12Sean McAllister: So it's not just like sex stuff.
- 9:16Sean McAllister: Right.
- 9:16Sean McAllister: It's like all there's all sorts of lifestyle stuff.
- 9:19Sean McAllister: There's even comfy robes in there.
- 9:21Sean McAllister: So it's a it's a good spot to check out.
- 9:24Dayna Roselli: See, that's that's sexy enough for me.
- 9:25Dayna Roselli: Just coffee and a candle.
- 9:27Dayna Roselli: That's more my style.
- 9:31Dayna Roselli: Oh my goodness.
- 9:32Dayna Roselli: All right, well, moving on.
- 9:34Dayna Roselli: Um, we did eat at Fuhu there.
- 9:36Dayna Roselli: That's the restaurant.
- 9:37Dayna Roselli: Uh, that's kind of an Asian theme.
- 9:39Dayna Roselli: We had the I just want to recommend if you go there, everyone, that the crut the our favorite thing that we ate was we split the crusted filet mignon, and it comes out bubbling with a crut.
- 9:50Dayna Roselli: It was delicious.
- 9:51Dayna Roselli: That was really, really good.
- 9:52Dayna Roselli: So if you go to Fuhu, um try that out.
- 9:56Dayna Roselli: Also, um, speaking of grand openings, you mentioned Pepper's gonna have their grand openings, so is Zook Nightclub.
- 10:01Dayna Roselli: The nightclub is finally gonna open on September 17th.
- 10:05Dayna Roselli: Tiesto will be performing, and boy, when you drive by on the strip, it looks gorgeous.
- 10:10Sean McAllister: It does.
- 10:10Sean McAllister: So, up until now, they've been having all of their nightlife events at their pool.
- 10:15Sean McAllister: Their pool has been like the spot, and it's been popping.
- 10:19Sean McAllister: There people have been up there and partying the night away.
- 10:23Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 10:24Sean McAllister: Uh, but Zook is the indoor nightlife venue that is about to open, and I know that it's gonna be packed too.
- 10:32Dayna Roselli: Yeah, and I was driving over DI recently, and I could kind of see they have this like outdoor covered patio area that looks like it'll be really cool.
- 10:41Dayna Roselli: Kind of reminded me of, and I can't think of which one it was, but I'm thinking of Omnia outside, kind of like their patio where there's like a bar out there and overhang.
- 10:49Dayna Roselli: Yeah, but anyway, it looks gorgeous um from the outside.
- 10:52Dayna Roselli: I'm glad this is finally gonna open.
- 10:54Dayna Roselli: Becky G is going to be DJing for night two.
- 10:57Dayna Roselli: I she's a big deal, right?
- 10:59Dayna Roselli: She is, she's huge.
- 11:00Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so apparently Becky G is a get.
- 11:03Dayna Roselli: Um, and then they have a whole slew of different DJs on the roster.
- 11:07Dayna Roselli: Um, and it's the first Zook group nightclub in Las Vegas.
- 11:12Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 11:12Sean McAllister: So again, uh September 17th is opening date for Zook Nightclub over at Resorts World.
- 11:19Sean McAllister: And Dana, you were also over at Caesars Palace a little bit.
- 11:23Dayna Roselli: I was.
- 11:23Dayna Roselli: So then my friend and I we went to Caesars Palace on Sunday night.
- 11:27Dayna Roselli: He wanted to go to Rayos because he loves Rayos, and we went there, and I was just gonna say, uh, we were both commenting that it was completely mobbed.
- 11:34Dayna Roselli: Just like we always said that Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, the line was down the hallway.
- 11:39Dayna Roselli: But uh the line for the Bacchanal buffet was, you know, three deep.
- 11:43Dayna Roselli: Jeez.
- 11:44Dayna Roselli: Um, yeah, the restaurants were busy, the casino floor.
- 11:47Dayna Roselli: We were both like, wow, it's mobbed.
- 11:49Dayna Roselli: But I wanted to point out because I always talk about the Reyos meatballs.
- 11:52Sean McAllister: Yep.
- 11:53Dayna Roselli: But my friend had the pork chop.
- 11:54Dayna Roselli: We like to split things, and we split the pork chop.
- 11:57Dayna Roselli: Holy cow, this thing was the best meal I have had in a long time.
- 12:01Dayna Roselli: The pork chop is delicious.
- 12:03Dayna Roselli: It is thick, juicy, and then they put these like peppers on top, so it gives it a little spice and flavor.
- 12:11Dayna Roselli: And even the waitress was like, Isn't it good?
- 12:13Dayna Roselli: Like, it's one of our best items.
- 12:15Sean McAllister: So you wouldn't think.
- 12:17Sean McAllister: Like looking at a menu, the two things I would never think to order are meatloaf and pork chops.
- 12:22Dayna Roselli: I agree.
- 12:23Dayna Roselli: My friend wanted the pork chop, and I was like, uh, because I we were gonna split two things, and I'm like, well, I'm getting the Bolognese, and he's like, Well, I'm gonna get the pork chop.
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: And I was like, Really?
- 12:30Dayna Roselli: But I just kept quiet because I was like, all right, whatever.
- 12:33Dayna Roselli: And then when I had half, I was like, holy bananas! This thing is good.
- 12:40Sean McAllister: Wow.
- 12:41Dayna Roselli: Yeah, so pork job at Reyos.
- 12:43Sean McAllister: Get the pork chop.
- 12:44Dayna Roselli: Get the pork chop.
- 12:46Dayna Roselli: It really was good.
- 12:48Dayna Roselli: But I agree, I wouldn't order a pork chop normally.
- 12:51Sean McAllister: Well, across the street from Caesar's Palace is where you will find Hara's.
- 12:57Sean McAllister: They have a new headliner who's just started performing over there.
- 13:01Sean McAllister: Uh a little singer guy by the name of Donnie Osmond.
- 13:05Dayna Roselli: And we we have his new single stuck in our head because we just played it.
- 13:08Dayna Roselli: We were watching his new music video.
- 13:11Sean McAllister: He was dancing down in the parking garage.
- 13:14Dayna Roselli: With his leather jacket and sunglasses.
- 13:17Dayna Roselli: Anyway, gotta love Donnie.
- 13:18Dayna Roselli: Uh he has now kicked off at Hera's.
- 13:21Dayna Roselli: You and I will be going to the um one of the first shows this week.
- 13:25Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 13:26Dayna Roselli: He's already been performing, but they do like a media night.
- 13:28Dayna Roselli: So we're going to that and we'll talk more about Donnie's show because this is his first solo residency in Las Vegas.
- 13:34Dayna Roselli: There's been Donnie and Marie together forever.
- 13:36Sean McAllister: Yeah, and I there are a lot of there are a lot of things that I'm already hearing about the show, but I want to save it until we have actually gone to see it and we can talk about our first hand experience with Donnie Osman.
- 13:52Sean McAllister: He's always such a great guy.
- 13:53Sean McAllister: He is.
- 13:54Sean McAllister: And he's gonna be joining us here on uh Vegas Revealed in the coming weeks.
- 13:58Dayna Roselli: But Did I ever tell you uh the time that Donnie came, I was interviewing Donnie came on the show at when I was working at a local TV station and just announced that him and Marie weren't gonna do the show anymore and she had no idea.
- 14:10Dayna Roselli: And then like, yeah, he just and then he went on like my Insta story and he was talking about it, and then it was like this big thing, and Marie's like, I have no idea what he's talking about, and then I don't know, because they they had kind of butted heads toward the end there of like she wanted to kind of end the show and he wanted to continue doing it.
- 14:27Dayna Roselli: So I'm happy that now Marie's doing what what she wants to do, and Donnie will still have his show.
- 14:33Dayna Roselli: But I felt a little like weird energy at that time, and I was like, are Donnie, are you sure you want to go with this?
- 14:39Dayna Roselli: Like, there's no press release out, there's no nothing.
- 14:41Dayna Roselli: He's like up the show, you know, it's been a great run.
- 14:44Dayna Roselli: And I was like, what's happening?
- 14:46Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it's a funny story that maybe I'll tell in more depth next week after Donnie's show.
- 14:51Sean McAllister: Well, and it's funny because every time their contract would come up, there would be all these there there would be these little hints that the show was going to end and that they were gonna finally be done doing their show.
- 15:03Sean McAllister: Um, but then they would re-up their contract and keep going.
- 15:06Sean McAllister: So I wonder if that was one of the strategies.
- 15:08Sean McAllister: I wonder if that was a negotiation period.
- 15:11Dayna Roselli: Yeah, could be, could be.
- 15:12Dayna Roselli: It was really funny though.
- 15:13Sean McAllister: I I love Donnie.
- 15:14Dayna Roselli: I do too.
- 15:15Sean McAllister: It'll be good to chat with him and see his new show over at Hera's.
- 15:19Dayna Roselli: Okay, we talked about this last week, and it was our shoot that we had over at the new sugar factory.
- 15:23Dayna Roselli: I think we called it a two-story sugar factory, but I want to say when we got there, it was like three floors.
- 15:28Dayna Roselli: Right?
- 15:28Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 15:29Sean McAllister: It was um it's and we know that because we went up and down those stairs about five times.
- 15:33Dayna Roselli: We did.
- 15:33Dayna Roselli: I got a lot of steps in that night.
- 15:35Dayna Roselli: Um, it's at the corner of Harmon and Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 15:38Dayna Roselli: Um, great patio.
- 15:40Dayna Roselli: I love the patio, beautiful view.
- 15:42Dayna Roselli: And uh, we went there to shoot uh B-roll and do a video of 50 Cents appearance at Sugar Factory.
- 15:51Dayna Roselli: He has a new drink there, goblet I should say, called the candy shop.
- 15:55Dayna Roselli: So um, you know, you never know what's gonna go down, you know, but like what it's gonna be like.
- 16:00Dayna Roselli: And 50 and his entourage walked in, and I don't know, Sean, take it away from there.
- 16:04Sean McAllister: It was bedlam.
- 16:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, it was uh just insanity ensued.
- 16:09Sean McAllister: There were fans who were hopping up out of their seats to take selfies and tops were falling down.
- 16:15Sean McAllister: Oh my god, there were there was definitely some tugging up that needed to happen here and there.
- 16:21Sean McAllister: Uh people were loving the fact that 50 Cent was in Sugar Factory while they were just sitting there unsuspectingly eating their meal.
- 16:31Sean McAllister: And Fiddie walks into the little candy shop, starts scooping some candy, yeah, poses for some pictures.
- 16:38Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 16:39Dayna Roselli: Had some food, and you know, we were able to get some video with him, and we put that video out on our social media.
- 16:46Dayna Roselli: Um, but you know, great appearance.
- 16:48Dayna Roselli: He's got uh I think he's going to the one in Queens like this week, so he's kind of doing the rounds.
- 16:53Sean McAllister: He is.
- 16:53Sean McAllister: Uh, and I believe it's his uh brand of cognac that's used in uh the candy shop goblet.
- 17:00Dayna Roselli: Exactly.
- 17:01Dayna Roselli: And what an entourage he has.
- 17:02Dayna Roselli: I was like, we were the house crew, okay, and they just kept pushing us back.
- 17:06Dayna Roselli: And I'm like, listen, we're here to make 50 look good.
- 17:10Dayna Roselli: We want to shoot video 50.
- 17:12Dayna Roselli: And so anyway, they have, you know, they have their rules, and so we followed the rules, and finally we we got in there and everything was good.
- 17:20Dayna Roselli: So if you want to check out our video, we have it on our YouTube and also our Instagram.
- 17:24Sean McAllister: And uh you can check out the new three-story Sugar Factory right at the corner of Harmon and Las Vegas Boulevard.
- 17:32Sean McAllister: It's right next door to the two-story uh Taco Bell.
- 17:36Dayna Roselli: Oh, yeah.
- 17:36Dayna Roselli: And we have two more shoots at Sugar Factory coming up.
- 17:39Dayna Roselli: We'll be there to shoot Scott Dissick's appearance, you know, the uh former Kardashian family, boyfriend, husband.
- 17:46Dayna Roselli: Was it were they married?
- 17:47unknown: Courtney?
- 17:48Sean McAllister: Uh I don't believe that they were married.
- 17:51Sean McAllister: They have some kids though.
- 17:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, but he's a huge part of keeping up with the Kardashians.
- 17:55Dayna Roselli: Anyway, everyone knows Scott Dissick, and he'll be there.
- 17:58Dayna Roselli: Uh also we have a shoot with Pauly D, DJ Pauly D, who lives in Las Vegas, but everyone knows him from obviously Jersey Shore.
- 18:06Dayna Roselli: And I know Sean, he's got some, you know, very famous slogans that you like to repeat.
- 18:11Dayna Roselli: Cabs are here.
- 18:13Dayna Roselli: So he always lets the house know when the cabs are here.
- 18:16Sean McAllister: That's right.
- 18:17Dayna Roselli: And then, you know, randomly I I ran into Pauly D on the This is so weird.
- 18:23Dayna Roselli: I was in the Bahamas at Baja Mar, and Pauly D was there, and it was so random because we're both, you know, he lives in Las Vegas.
- 18:31Dayna Roselli: I've interviewed him on local TV many times.
- 18:33Dayna Roselli: But anyway, I was walking along the the sand, and my friend said, There's Pauly D.
- 18:37Dayna Roselli: We went up and had a good chat, and he was talking about you know his residency at Dre's and all that kind of thing.
- 18:42Dayna Roselli: So it'll be good to see Pauly again.
- 18:44Dayna Roselli: He's always up for a good chat and always up for a good time.
- 18:47Sean McAllister: He is, he is.
- 18:48Sean McAllister: That'll be great.
- 18:49Dayna Roselli: And a couple quick notes Derek Huff has his show kicking off at the Venetian soon.
- 18:53Dayna Roselli: So make sure you get your tickets to that.
- 18:55Dayna Roselli: If you love dance and choreography, should be great.
- 18:59Dayna Roselli: Also, Zappos Theater at Planet Hollywood is now officially open.
- 19:02Dayna Roselli: One Republic performed there uh last weekend.
- 19:06Dayna Roselli: And then also Magic Mike Live is opening at the Sahara, and tickets are on sale for that.
- 19:12Dayna Roselli: They're gonna have their big grand opening show.
- 19:14Dayna Roselli: Sean and I will be at that.
- 19:15Dayna Roselli: So we'll have a lot to talk about over the next month.
- 19:18Dayna Roselli: It's exciting stuff.
- 19:21Sean McAllister: As Las Vegas Entertainment gets back up to full steam, we have a new venue that's opening here in Las Vegas.
- 19:27Sean McAllister: It's new but familiar too.
- 19:29Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 19:29Dayna Roselli: Always exciting.
- 19:30Dayna Roselli: A lot of people know it formerly as the joint when it was at the Hard Rock, but now Virgin Hotels has been open and the venue there, the concert venue, is opening officially.
- 19:41Dayna Roselli: We have Tiffany Bosman with us from AEG.
- 19:44Dayna Roselli: Welcome.
- 19:44SPEAKER_01: Hi there.
- 19:46Dayna Roselli: We're excited to talk about this because I think a lot of people have been waiting to get inside there again.
- 19:50Dayna Roselli: I feel like, first of all, for people that live here, it's such a Las Vegas staple, but also people that come into town, they know what a great venue that is to see concerts at a size that's big, but not too big.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: Definitely.
- 20:02SPEAKER_01: I mean, it still has um it's big enough for a great rock show to come in, but it's still intimate enough for when you see some of those big rock acts or you know, whatever genre it might be, you really feel like you're seeing something special, you know.
- 20:15Sean McAllister: And for for those of us who have been here in Las Vegas for a decade plus, um and who have grown up kind of with the joint as such an iconic entertainment venue here in Las Vegas.
- 20:29Sean McAllister: What are you doing now that it's a virgin property to kind of honor the iconic moments, but really bring it into the to a new era as well?
- 20:39SPEAKER_01: Well, you know, the great thing about that room, um, be it the joint or now as the theater at Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is that the room always had really great bones, right?
- 20:48SPEAKER_01: You know, the shape and the sounds, the size, you know, the layout was all really great.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: So a lot of that has stayed the same.
- 20:57SPEAKER_01: What I think is really special about the venue now, when Virgin got updated, we went ahead and updated certain parts of that theater.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: Um, there's a lot more to offer as far as VIP experiences go.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: The second level, where a lot of people remember um the individual suites that are on that level, and then each side kind of had VIP VI VIP seating that were um tall boys.
- 21:23SPEAKER_01: Now that whole level has been completely renovated along House Right, um, where a lot of those tables were set up before, now it's a beautiful VIP lounge with a brand new bar inside of it.
- 21:37SPEAKER_01: We're calling it the social VIP lounge.
- 21:39SPEAKER_01: So it's a great place for people to be able to buy a general um ticket into that lounge area and kind of mix and mingle with their friends or meet other people up that are coming to the show.
- 21:51SPEAKER_01: Um, and also within that area, there are uh booths and like banquettes, different VIP seating options that you can upgrade to once you're.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: In there, and you can get uh bottle service, cocktail service, everything like that.
- 22:04SPEAKER_01: There, um, that's that's a big difference from it, and I think that really updates it and kind of really brings what people are looking for now when they're going to concerts in Las Vegas.
- 22:16SPEAKER_01: Um, also on the main floor, there's a brand new VIP section.
- 22:20SPEAKER_01: We're calling it the front and center VIP, and that is a space that is between the front gold circle area and the back of the um main floor.
- 22:31SPEAKER_01: So kind of by where the sound booth is, that whole strip has been turned into VIP seating options.
- 22:38SPEAKER_01: There's um, I believe four to six uh booths on each side where people can have cocktail service there, but still be like very much in the action, very close to the stage, um, but have a little bit more of a VIP amenity without having to lose that feeling that you're surrounded by the crowd.
- 22:59SPEAKER_01: So I think a lot of what we've done with the VIP is is kind of what has brought it into a more current uh venue environment.
- 23:08SPEAKER_01: And I mean, it's just beautiful.
- 23:10SPEAKER_01: The updates that we've made are are truly gorgeous.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: So, you know, that's an added value.
- 23:15SPEAKER_01: All the suites have been redone, the furniture, the textures.
- 23:19SPEAKER_01: It's really updated compared to what it had felt like for so long at the joint.
- 23:24Dayna Roselli: And I know in the middle section it was always the areas where you could stand.
- 23:28Dayna Roselli: Is that still there?
- 23:28Dayna Roselli: Or is there seats there now?
- 23:30Dayna Roselli: Anything change in the middle, the crux of it?
- 23:32SPEAKER_01: Are you talking about on the main floor?
- 23:34Dayna Roselli: Yeah, on the main floor.
- 23:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so we have different um setups for the show.
- 23:39SPEAKER_01: So on a fully seated show, you know, we have uh chairs brought in for that whole main floor.
- 23:46SPEAKER_01: But then some shows we have the front where it's all GA standing, and then the back is seated.
- 23:52SPEAKER_01: And then there are other shows where it's completely GA.
- 23:54SPEAKER_01: Um, so it kind of depends on what kind of show it is.
- 23:57SPEAKER_01: Uh, you know, for like a rock show, for example, Machine Gun Kelly, it's all GA on the floor.
- 24:03SPEAKER_01: That's going to be a sold-out, like total powerhouse of an event.
- 24:07SPEAKER_01: Um, in that scenario, that front and center VIP, you'll still have your own space, but around you will be people um with all the energy in the GA uh type of environment.
- 24:21Sean McAllister: And I want to talk about uh the lineup that you've already announced.
- 24:25Sean McAllister: I know that you have more entertainers planned, but first you have some really cool uh ticket packages available too.
- 24:33Sean McAllister: There's the Me and Three, where you get to kind of get a group of your friends together and come to the shows.
- 24:39SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 24:40SPEAKER_01: So for some of the shows coming up, um, for Gary Clark Jr., for a lot of the rock shows that we have in October, including like Violent Femes and Dropkick Murphy's with Rancid are coming.
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: Violent Femes are coming with Fogging Molly.
- 24:56SPEAKER_01: Uh, there's a couple different ticket options.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: So the Mi Plus Three is you buy three tickets, you get the fourth one free.
- 25:03SPEAKER_01: And that's activated in the purchase flow.
- 25:05SPEAKER_01: So when you go to Access.com to buy tickets, or if you go to, you know, the Virgin website and get through the purchase flow like that.
- 25:13SPEAKER_01: When you go there, there'll be an option for the Mi Plus three.
- 25:16SPEAKER_01: And so it's a great way to be able to like squat up, bring three of your friends.
- 25:20SPEAKER_01: So many of us haven't been able to see concerts with our friends for so long, right?
- 25:24SPEAKER_01: So we're all kind of craving to get together.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: Let's meet up.
- 25:28SPEAKER_01: Um, and that's a great opportunity for that.
- 25:31Dayna Roselli: Well, and with, you know, you're kicking off with Gary Clark Jr.
- 25:33Dayna Roselli: When this runs, that concert will most likely be over by then.
- 25:36Dayna Roselli: So let's talk about the other ones that you have coming in.
- 25:39Dayna Roselli: I know you just mentioned a few of them, but um, for folks listening that might want to get tickets for the future, we have a lot of listeners from around the world that are dying to get back to Vegas and want something to do this year.
- 25:49Dayna Roselli: So, what are some of the options?
- 25:50Sean McAllister: I'm kind of stoked to hear you say violent fans.
- 25:52Sean McAllister: I know, that's our jam.
- 25:55SPEAKER_01: They're one of my favorites for sure.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: So um in later September, uh September 25th, we have Lady A coming through with the uh What a Song Can Do tour.
- 26:05SPEAKER_01: And then in October, we have a lot of stuff.
- 26:08SPEAKER_01: We have Russ on October 8th, who's more of like an RB hip hop artist.
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: Um then the show we were just talking about, Flogging Molly and Violent Femmes, are here on October 9th.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: And then on October 15th, we've got Rancid with Dropkick Murphy's and the Bronx uh is on that bill as well.
- 26:26SPEAKER_01: On the 16th, we have Machine Gun Kelly, which is gonna be completely wild and amazing.
- 26:32SPEAKER_01: Um, that one's mostly sold out.
- 26:34SPEAKER_01: I think there's still some VIP packages available there for people that are trying to get into that show.
- 26:39SPEAKER_01: October 17th, there's a day to remember.
- 26:41SPEAKER_01: Primus is gonna be there on the 24th.
- 26:44SPEAKER_01: And then into November, we've got Carol G, Porter Robinson, Mike Towers, Coca Wetzel.
- 26:50SPEAKER_01: And then in December, we've got our first residency in the room.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: Journey is coming back.
- 26:57SPEAKER_01: We're very excited to have them back in that room.
- 26:59SPEAKER_01: We have had them there um twice before, I believe.
- 27:03SPEAKER_01: And they haven't been in there since 2017.
- 27:06SPEAKER_01: So they're gonna be doing six shows over NFR.
- 27:10SPEAKER_01: So they're playing December 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 10th, and 11th.
- 27:16SPEAKER_01: So I think that'll be really fun.
- 27:18SPEAKER_01: And they put on such a great show.
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: Um, Randy Jackson's back on bass with them.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: I don't know if you guys knew this or not, but he was originally in Journey.
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: Wow.
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: Really?
- 27:28SPEAKER_01: That's a big Randy Jackson from American Idol, you know, like he was originally in Journey, he's back with them, which is really exciting.
- 27:35SPEAKER_01: If you want a really fun time, Google Randy Jackson Journey, and there are some amazing photos of him throwback on stage, like amazing outfits, like super, super fun.
- 27:48SPEAKER_01: So he's gonna be back uh with the band.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: We're really excited about that.
- 27:52SPEAKER_01: We also have Little Big Town coming on December 3rd and 4th.
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: So that's over NFR as well.
- 27:58SPEAKER_01: And then we have Dotri and Seven Dust on Sunday, the 5th.
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, really for that couple of weeks for NFR, we're jam-packed.
- 28:06SPEAKER_01: Really something for everybody.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: If you want to see more country, great, come see Little Big Town.
- 28:10SPEAKER_01: If you want something a little more counter-programmed, but something that everybody still loves, come see Journey.
- 28:15Dayna Roselli: It's a great lineup.
- 28:17Dayna Roselli: And and I know, you know, the property, even Virgin, it obviously opened and we were in the middle of a lot of stuff.
- 28:22Dayna Roselli: Do you feel like this venue opening is almost going to complete the property too?
- 28:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, I feel I feel that way.
- 28:29SPEAKER_01: You know, a lot of the other stuff has opened, although slowly, you know, they rolled out some stuff, then the pools opened there.
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: But this venue, I think, really kind of closes that loop and it's the full offerings of what that property can show people.
- 28:44SPEAKER_01: Um, and you know, we can have a it can bring a lot of people to the property.
- 28:49SPEAKER_01: The venue um goes up to a 4,500 person capacity.
- 28:53SPEAKER_01: Our our events are gonna be so awesome and like to have all that music happening again, but then also the venue already has or the property already has so much other stuff happening.
- 29:02SPEAKER_01: So you can tack on dinner before, go to the bar after, you know, you could have dinner at Cassie Beach house and then go to Money Baby afterwards and like see this concert in between.
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: So it's really kind of that glue in the middle to making it a reason to spend an entire night out at Virgin.
- 29:20Sean McAllister: And Tiffany, you know Las Vegas, you know entertainment.
- 29:24Sean McAllister: What's the most exciting thing for you about being a part of this team that's reopening the theater at Virgin Hotels?
- 29:33SPEAKER_01: You know, it's been really exciting just because it was a place that we already all loved, right?
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: As we talked about this, and to be able to like update it and give it some love and kind of shine it back up again.
- 29:47SPEAKER_01: And then, you know, clearly it didn't open how we planned that it was going to open.
- 29:52SPEAKER_01: We had had all these plans, you know, before the pandemic hit.
- 29:55SPEAKER_01: So it was a little bittersweet that it didn't happen in the same timeline we all thought.
- 30:01SPEAKER_01: But at the same time, it almost makes it more special to have it finally happen now.
- 30:06SPEAKER_01: You know, we've all gone through so much, and it's just really nice to start seeing concerts happening again, to be able to reopen our doors and welcome our friends, our family, the artist fans from Las Vegas and all over the country and you know, all over the world back into that room to be able to have a really good time, see that live music, um, see their friends that they've been missing, and just have that experience.
- 30:31SPEAKER_01: So the team has worked tirelessly.
- 30:35SPEAKER_01: There's a lot of people that were there from before that are back with us.
- 30:38SPEAKER_01: We have some new people with us.
- 30:40SPEAKER_01: So it's really special, you know, all around.
- 30:43SPEAKER_01: And we're just really excited to have people back in that room celebrating what we all love is live music and entertainment in Las Vegas.
- 30:50SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 30:50Dayna Roselli: I mean, I think, you know, Sean and I have been to a lot of shows over the last uh couple months because there's been a lot of openings and they seem uh packed, busier than you.
- 30:59Dayna Roselli: It's like you're right.
- 30:59Dayna Roselli: People definitely want to get out and they want to enjoy life again, they want to see live music.
- 31:04Dayna Roselli: I noticed that the theaters are are full to the brim.
- 31:08Dayna Roselli: And sometimes if there's a show after, we'll leave and there's a line for the next one.
- 31:11Dayna Roselli: And so, I mean, it's it's time.
- 31:13Dayna Roselli: Anything you can share with us about the resorts world AEG shows?
- 31:17Dayna Roselli: Anything you want to reveal on Vegas Revealed?
- 31:20Dayna Roselli: Come on.
- 31:20SPEAKER_01: Well, I have I have a good uh my colleague Chris Lingle handles all of those shows.
- 31:27SPEAKER_01: So, you know, she's gonna be the one with all the surprises and the and the insight there.
- 31:33SPEAKER_01: You know, maybe you guys will have to talk to her as well.
- 31:35SPEAKER_01: But I do know um we're just really excited to have Celine back and really excited to welcome, you know, Carrie Underwood and Katie Perry and Luke Bryan to that venue.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: And um, the property's beautiful, you know, the theater is gonna be amazing.
- 31:52SPEAKER_01: And Celine is such a staple in this town.
- 31:55SPEAKER_01: And seeing her live is really magical, you know, be it if you consider yourself a Celine Dion fan or not, do not miss the opportunity to see Celine.
- 32:06SPEAKER_01: You know, it's breathtaking.
- 32:08SPEAKER_01: You're gonna know every song.
- 32:10SPEAKER_01: She's amazing, you know, she's a Las Vegas icon.
- 32:14SPEAKER_01: So we're really excited to have her back.
- 32:16SPEAKER_01: And that property is beautiful and the casino's beautiful, and it's just another reason to come to Las Vegas and see it even brighter than it was before.
- 32:27unknown: Yeah.
- 32:28Sean McAllister: Fortunately, I have a lengthy email chain with Chris going on.
- 32:32Sean McAllister: So we'll get all the scoop on resorts world because those openings are coming up really soon here.
- 32:37Dayna Roselli: But state of the art brand new theaters are we're you know, we're excited to have that here in Las Vegas.
- 32:42Dayna Roselli: Look at all these places opening and just you know, it's a time where we kind of need a boost, we need excitement, and I think I think it's working.
- 32:48Sean McAllister: Well, we're super excited to get over there and get inside the theater at Virgin Hotels.
- 32:53Sean McAllister: Tiffany, thank you so much for your time and for all the hard work to get the theater ready for reopening.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: Yeah, thank you guys.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: Thanks so much for uh chatting with me.
- 33:03Dayna Roselli: Of course.
- 33:04Dayna Roselli: Yeah, you heard her talk about uh a lot of the shows coming up.
- 33:07Dayna Roselli: Sounds great.
- 33:08Dayna Roselli: Go to Virginhotelslv.com to find more information and ticket info, schedules, all that kind of thing.
- 33:16Dayna Roselli: But yeah, like you mentioned, Sean, the violent FEMs.
- 33:19Dayna Roselli: I mean, that was like our era.
- 33:20Dayna Roselli: Ugh.
- 33:21Dayna Roselli: Especially where we're from, Rochester, New York.
- 33:23Dayna Roselli: I don't know, they were big there.
- 33:24Dayna Roselli: They were always at festivals and that kind of thing.
- 33:27Sean McAllister: Yeah, it's gonna be good.
- 33:28Sean McAllister: Um, what do you say we get to some tips?
- 33:36Sean McAllister: And Dana, my mind was blown when I heard about this first tip.
- 33:44Dayna Roselli: Well, I thought, huh?
- 33:46Dayna Roselli: Yeah, both of us were like, I didn't know Kevin Costner had a band.
- 33:49Dayna Roselli: But yeah, listen to this, everyone.
- 33:51Dayna Roselli: Kevin Costner and Modern West are riding into Vegas for their Tales of Yellowstone tour at Sunset Station on November 6th.
- 34:03Dayna Roselli: So we went, wait, the Kevin Costner?
- 34:05Dayna Roselli: What?
- 34:06Dayna Roselli: Huh?
- 34:07Dayna Roselli: Never heard of Modern West.
- 34:08Dayna Roselli: Well, yeah, he has a band called Modern West, and they're coming to perform at the amphitheater there outside at Sunset Station on November 6th.
- 34:17Dayna Roselli: Did you uh it was blown?
- 34:18Dayna Roselli: I my mind was blown.
- 34:19Dayna Roselli: I had no idea.
- 34:20Sean McAllister: I had no idea he was a musician.
- 34:21Sean McAllister: This is so cool, and it was surprising that when Kevin Costner and Modern West come to Las Vegas, do they choose to play on the Las Vegas strip?
- 34:33Sean McAllister: No, they don't.
- 34:34Sean McAllister: They are coming off the strip, coming to Henderson to perform at Sunset Station, which is one of the station casinos that is off the Las Vegas strip.
- 34:44Dayna Roselli: I know, and apparently they've been around since 2007 and they have toured the globe.
- 34:49Sean McAllister: Where have I been?
- 34:50Dayna Roselli: I don't know.
- 34:50Dayna Roselli: Where have I been?
- 34:51Dayna Roselli: I know.
- 34:51Dayna Roselli: I knew Steve Martin did like some music, and then what's that man?
- 34:56Dayna Roselli: Uh what's that man?
- 34:58Dayna Roselli: Dan the band.
- 35:00Dayna Roselli: Dan the man.
- 35:01Dayna Roselli: Lieutenant Dan.
- 35:02Sean McAllister: The Lieutenant Dan band.
- 35:04Sean McAllister: Yeah, he's got a band too.
- 35:05Sean McAllister: Yeah, yeah.
- 35:06Dayna Roselli: He's got a band too.
- 35:08Dayna Roselli: And then, wait, there's somebody else.
- 35:10Dayna Roselli: Oh, um You mean that woman?
- 35:12Dayna Roselli: Kevin Bacon.
- 35:13Dayna Roselli: Kevin Bacon.
- 35:14Dayna Roselli: He does.
- 35:15Dayna Roselli: He and his the the Bacon brothers, right?
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: Yeah.
- 35:17Dayna Roselli: They have a band.
- 35:18Dayna Roselli: See, there's all these like actors, like A-listers that have bands.
- 35:22Dayna Roselli: Gary Sinise, the man, Kevin Bacon, Steve Martin, and Kevin Costner.
- 35:30Sean McAllister: I love it.
- 35:30Dayna Roselli: So anyway, it sounds like it'll be a great show.
- 35:33Dayna Roselli: Uh, if you've watched the show Yellowstone, which I have not, but tons of people have and they love it.
- 35:38Dayna Roselli: Stars Kevin Costner.
- 35:40Dayna Roselli: Apparently, the Tales of Yellowstone tour, I'm sure, has something to do with the show he was in.
- 35:45Sean McAllister: It sounds like it.
- 35:46Sean McAllister: It sounds like it would be a good crossover project there.
- 35:48Dayna Roselli: Right.
- 35:49Dayna Roselli: Tickets are 42.50.
- 35:50Dayna Roselli: They start at 4250.
- 35:52Dayna Roselli: They go up to 82.50 plus fees.
- 35:54Dayna Roselli: Doors open at 6 p.m.
- 35:56Dayna Roselli: I went there recently for a country concert.
- 35:58Dayna Roselli: Loved it.
- 35:59Dayna Roselli: Great venue.
- 36:00Dayna Roselli: So why not go see Kevin Costner and his band, The Modern West, on November 6th.
- 36:08Dayna Roselli: There you have it, folks.
- 36:09Dayna Roselli: You can see how shocked we are.
- 36:11Dayna Roselli: I want to hear his voice.
- 36:13Dayna Roselli: I'm gonna have to Google it after this.
- 36:15Sean McAllister: I just keep thinking Dances with Wolves.
- 36:17Dayna Roselli: And I'm thinking the bodyguard.
- 36:18Sean McAllister: See?
- 36:19Sean McAllister: We're very different.
- 36:20Sean McAllister: Okay, Dana.
- 36:22Sean McAllister: My tip of the week is uh the early bird gets the worm.
- 36:26Sean McAllister: And what I mean by this, uh, we went to a comedy show over at Park MGM uh last Saturday night.
- 36:33Sean McAllister: And we waited until after the show to grab dinner, and we just went over to Eatalie, which is right there also at Park MGM.
- 36:41Sean McAllister: By the time we finished dinner, uh you know, it was probably getting to be around 10 30, and we're like, oh, you know what?
- 36:49Sean McAllister: We'd love to go and grab some gelato, which they have a big gelato stand right along the strip there at Eatley.
- 36:58Sean McAllister: And as we went down the steps to the gelato stand, it was closed.
- 37:04Dayna Roselli: Ah, come on, it's Vegas Saturday night.
- 37:07Sean McAllister: The gelato Labor Day weekend and desserts were closed at 10:30 on a Saturday night on Labor Day weekend, and it is a sign of the times because there are a lot of places like that that are closing down early on the strip.
- 37:25Sean McAllister: No more a 24-hour town.
- 37:27Dayna Roselli: I know, I do notice that when I walk through, there's a lot of things that close early, and even the form shops, I want to say on the weekends are open till like 10.
- 37:36Dayna Roselli: And the weekday, it might be I I don't know what time, but my point is a lot of the stores inside the form shops close early.
- 37:42Dayna Roselli: So even if you're there, you may eat, but when you leave the restaurant, like if you wanted to shop after eating, they're all closed.
- 37:49Dayna Roselli: I think it's a lack of finding people to work there.
- 37:52Dayna Roselli: Yeah, maybe the crowds they feel aren't as big later.
- 37:56Dayna Roselli: Also, someone I know was saying, you know, when you work that 10 to 7, 8 hour shift, in order to stay open two hours more, you would have to bring in another crew.
- 38:07Dayna Roselli: And so instead of extending hours or just closing at seven.
- 38:12Dayna Roselli: So, anyway, um, a lot of things are closing earlier.
- 38:15Dayna Roselli: You're right, and so it is something to look up before you leave if you have an agenda in your head, like I'm doing this, this is what I want to do.
- 38:23Dayna Roselli: Make sure it's open.
- 38:24Sean McAllister: And make sure that you get your gelato early because that stuff is good.
- 38:28Dayna Roselli: I know you love your gelato.
- 38:31Sean McAllister: Gelato is amazing over there at Edoli.
- 38:33Sean McAllister: And then they have the the fresh cannoli stand right next door.
- 38:37Sean McAllister: You get to choose your cannoli filling.
- 38:39Dayna Roselli: Yeah, that's always good.
- 38:40Dayna Roselli: A cannoli is hard to a true cannoli is hard to find, but Eatoli has them.
- 38:44Dayna Roselli: Oh, it's so good.
- 38:45Dayna Roselli: All right, well, it was closed for you.
- 38:47Dayna Roselli: How was the comedy show?
- 38:48Sean McAllister: Uh, the comedy show was good.
- 38:50Sean McAllister: Who was it?
- 38:50Sean McAllister: Uh it was John Mullaney, who is uh writer, a former writer for Saturday Night Live.
- 38:57Sean McAllister: Um, he has several Netflix specials, if you look him up.
- 39:00Sean McAllister: Um, it was a good show, although he's but been very open about the fact that he uh went to rehab over the past year.
- 39:09Sean McAllister: And that's what the bulk of the comedy routine centered around.
- 39:16Sean McAllister: And it kind of there were parts that made me really sad.
- 39:19Sean McAllister: Yeah.
- 39:19Sean McAllister: I was kind of sad that he had to go through all that, and it kind of seemed like he was doing the comedy bits to try and work through the issues that he's you know still having or whatever, but it wasn't the normal comedy routine that I'd expected from him.
- 39:40Sean McAllister: But overall it was good.
- 39:41Dayna Roselli: All right, and that was at the park theater.
- 39:43Dayna Roselli: So yeah, it's been a busy few days here at Operation Vegas Revealed, and I think that's probably it for today.
- 39:50Dayna Roselli: But we've got a lot of things that we're gonna head to this week, and we'll of course be back next week with episode 86.
- 39:57Dayna Roselli: We thank you for your donations, we thank you for buying our merchandise, and we hope you have a good one.
- 40:03Sean McAllister: Bye.
