  What is born of God does not resemble the world, but defeats the world.

  As a Christian born of God, you should live victoriously in this world by the

  power of Jesus working in your life. This is done through your faith.

  You do not need to look like the world or ever let Satan win a battle.

  God has given you the victory, and your faith is the key that unlocks the power.

  For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world, and this is the victory
• 1:43
  that overcometh the world, even our faith.

  Hello and welcome to this broadcast of Woman at the Well Ministries. We are victorious.
• 1:53
  I believe that that is one of the greatest statements ever said.
• 1:58
  And in reference to the Christian, it is the most truth ever spoken.
• 2:04
  Because we are victorious through Christ who is in us.
• 2:08
  We can overcome the world because the Bible says that greater is he that is
• 2:12
  in us than he that is in the world.
• 2:14
  The Bible tells us that we are more than conquerors through Christ Jesus.
• 2:20
  Yet many of us live a life of defeat.
• 2:25
  And I wonder what it is about us that would allow us to live that kind of life
• 2:32
  when the truth is that he overcame the world and therefore we can overcome the world.
• 2:40
  When we know that sin no more hath no more dominion over us because Christ has
• 2:46
  given us the means by which we can defeat the devil.
• 2:50
  We are victorious unless we throw the white flag up.
• 2:55
  And so somewhere in our lives and in our Christian lives, we've got to stop
• 3:01
  and take stock of our faith.
• 3:04
  The Bible says in the book of Matthew that if you have faith that of a grain
• 3:09
  of a mustard seed, that you could say to this mountain, be you moved.
• 3:15
  I believe that there are many mountains in our lives that we could move if we just had the faith.
• 3:23
  I believe there's many mountains in our life that we could climb because that's
• 3:28
  what God would have us to do, that he could raise us up and show the world what he can do through us,
• 3:35
  to allow us to be a living testimony of what faith in God will produce.
• 3:42
  For instance, in 1 Samuel chapter 17, we read about little David.
• 3:50
  And little david is an
• 3:53
  interesting person when you get to look at his
• 3:56
  life you see we all know the story
• 3:58
  of david and goliath we know that david defeated the great big giant but have
• 4:04
  you ever stopped and looked at how david embraced the task before him and have
• 4:13
  you ever wondered what it was that allowed him to be that champion.
• 4:19
  Champions train.
• 4:22
  Champions live with a purpose. Champions will sacrifice for the victory.
• 4:30
  And we have the victory in us, but we must have a faith that allows us to unlock
• 4:37
  that victory through Jesus.
• 4:41
  I want to first bring to your attention that little David volunteered for the task to beat the giant.
• 4:49
  Now, one of two things had to be going on there. One, he had to be so cocky that he was stupid.
• 4:55
  Or two, he had a really genuine confidence that he could win that battle.
• 5:03
  Well, we've read the story. We know how it ends. We know that David conquered the giant.
• 5:09
  So he wasn't just a cocky little boy that was stupid.
• 5:13
  Not at all. In fact, he may be one of the wisest of all children or adults that
• 5:21
  we could talk about today.
• 5:23
  Because he was wise enough to know that through Jesus, he could do anything.
• 5:30
  The Bible says in Mark chapter 9 verse 23, that all things are possible to him that believeth.
• 5:38
  All things are possible.
• 5:41
  David knew that. and David knew
• 5:44
  that the battle wasn't his it belonged to the
• 5:47
  Lord David had trained he had
• 5:50
  trained his life his soul
• 5:54
  and his heart to hear
• 5:57
  the word of God to follow the commandments
• 6:00
  and to believe in Jesus and all that God could do to such an extent that his
• 6:08
  faith didn't waver and he did not doubt anything that God could do when he knew
• 6:17
  he was working in the power and the might of the Lord.
• 6:20
  In Ephesians chapter 3 and verse 20, we were told, Now unto him that is able
• 6:24
  to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think according to the
• 6:28
  power that worketh in us. Little David understood.
• 6:33
  That it wasn't about how much power he had. It was about how much power that
• 6:38
  God had and how he could allow God to work through him.
• 6:42
  That's why little David could come to that battle in full assurance that he would win.
• 6:50
  And we see this so clearly in 1 Samuel 17, in verse 46,
• 6:57
  when he says, This day will the Lord deliver thee into my hand,
• 7:01
  and I will smite thee and take thine head from thee.
• 7:06
  This day will the Lord deliver thee into my hand. That was an assurance.
• 7:13
  That was a statement of exactness. That was a statement of confidence.
• 7:19
  That was a statement that all the years that he had spent studying with God
• 7:25
  and knowing who he was and working on that relationship had wrought that in little David.
• 7:30
  And you and I have so much more than little David had.
• 7:34
  First of all, we have the word of God from Genesis to Revelations,
• 7:38
  which is the greatest love letter ever written.
• 7:41
  Second of all, the Holy Spirit dwells in every believer.
• 7:44
  And David was not living in a time when the Holy Spirit would dwell in you,
• 7:49
  but he lived in a time when the Holy Spirit would move from place to place.
• 7:53
  We are never without the Holy Spirit inside of us as a believer.
• 7:57
  The Bible says he'll never leave us nor forsake us. The Bible says the Holy
• 8:01
  Spirit will comfort us. The Bible says the Holy Spirit will teach us.
• 8:05
  The Bible says the Holy Spirit will guide us. We have everything that we need
• 8:09
  to stand in full assurance and look the devil square in the eye and say,
• 8:14
  You can't touch me because I am one of God's chosen.
• 8:18
  Every believer of God is a chosen person of God.
• 8:23
  They're a person with a purpose. They are champions.
• 8:27
  We're victorious. So why is it that we're living our lives as if God is not on the throne?
• 8:36
  And as times get worse and things get harder and the world seems to get more and more evil,
• 8:43
  even though we're told in Ecclesiastes that there's nothing new under the sun,
• 8:49
  things just seem to be ripping out of control.
• 8:52
  But every child of God should be just as peaceful today as they were in the
• 8:57
  60s or as peaceful today as they were in the 80s.
• 9:01
  Because the truth is, God is still in control.
• 9:05
  The truth is, God is still victorious.
• 9:08
  The truth is that we as Christians are champions of God.
• 9:12
  And we truly will have the opportunity to see God in his glory.
• 9:18
  If we just like little David will say
• 9:22
  today that will deliver the end
• 9:26
  of my hand we are more than conqueror we are absolute champions and we are victorious
• 9:33
  the truth of the matter is that some of us have not trained at all and our prayer
• 9:39
  muscles are so stinking weak that we can't hardly pray.
• 9:43
  If you were asked to pray for five minutes, and it'd be an earnest,
• 9:48
  honest prayer, it'd wear some of us out.
• 9:51
  And we'd start repeating stuff. And sometimes it's okay to repeat.
• 9:56
  But sometimes we're repeating because we've got nothing else to say,
• 9:59
  and then we've really not prayed.

  Oh my goodness, some of my most amazing memories of my mom is listening to her pray.
• 10:07
  I love to hear somebody pray whose heart is completely in tune with God.
• 10:13
  You can hear it. You can feel it. You can almost see it.
• 10:19
  But some of us haven't trained. We've forgotten all about 2 Timothy 2.15 that
• 10:24
  said that we're to study to show ourself approved unto God, a workman and heath
• 10:27
  not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. You know,
• 10:30
  that's the trick of the devil.
• 10:32
  Keep you so busy that you can't do what he asked you to do. The Bible says,
• 10:36
  for whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world.
• 10:39
  This is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
• 10:43
  It's our faith that's going to unlock the victory. You know,
• 10:48
  sometimes in the Christian life, it is a little difficult. There's no doubt about it.
• 10:54
  Sometimes it can get even hard. But God will give you the victory,
• 10:59
  and it's your faith that's going to let you have it.
• 11:02
  And it's time that we started looking like champions, the champions that God creates in us.
• 11:08
  It's time that we know that we're powerful in Jesus and that we're joyous because
• 11:15
  the joy is from within. It's not from outside.
• 11:19
  It's time we studied and we prayed. It's time we stopped for a moment and asked
• 11:27
  ourselves, how much is our faith like little David's?
• 11:33
  Little boy, how hard are we training to stand faithful?
• 11:40
  And it's not of works of righteousness, which we have done. it's about the finished
• 11:43
  work of Calvary that gets us our salvation.
• 11:46
  But if you want to have a powerful faith, if you want to use your faith to such
• 11:53
  an extent that you can cause.
• 11:55
  Things to happen with Christ's power in your life, then you're going to have
• 12:00
  to train in his words so that you know what it says.
• 12:03
  You're going to have to train so you see all that he's done so that you can
• 12:09
  increase your faith and you're going to have to spend some time in prayer and
• 12:14
  you're going to have to trust in an almighty God and be able to say in every
• 12:20
  situation, every problem,
• 12:22
  in sickness and in health, in wealth and in poverty,
• 12:25
  when you understand and when you don't understand,
• 12:28
  to God be the glory for the great things he is doing in my life.
• 12:34
  Knowing that at no point in your life is he's
• 12:38
  ever separated from you or ever forgotten you but he's working all things to
• 12:45
  the good to them that love the lord and that are called according to his purpose
• 12:48
  you are more than overcon overcomers you are conquerors through christ jesus we are victorious.
