- 0:00Speaker 1: Article today from Uproxx.com and it is about Adam Perry
- 0:08Speaker 1: Lang's appearance on the Joe Rogan experience. The headline, Joe
- 0:15Speaker 1: Rogan's most recent podcast guest and the lack of questions
- 0:18Speaker 1: about his past have raised some eyebrows. The author of
- 0:22Speaker 1: this piece from Uproxx is Zach Johnston. If you follow
- 0:27Speaker 1: the Joe Rogan experience, even in a passive way, you'll
- 0:30Speaker 1: know how often the mysterious death of Jeffrey Epstein comes up.
- 0:34Speaker 2: For sure.
- 0:35Speaker 1: I pretty much religiously listen to Joe Rogan's podcast while
- 0:38Speaker 1: I'm hiking and climbing and on adventures, and he talks
- 0:42Speaker 1: about Epstein all the time. And for the most part,
- 0:46Speaker 1: Rogan's awesome. I would say 99.5% of the time, Rogan
- 0:50Speaker 1: is just incredible with the way he formats his show
- 0:54Speaker 1: and how he goes about his business. But in this case,
- 0:57Speaker 1: I really think that he missed a solid chance here
- 1:01Speaker 1: to really, really dig in and get some answers from
- 1:06Speaker 1: the chef. You can simply Google Joe Rogan Experience Jeffrey
- 1:10Speaker 1: Epstein and pages of clips of Rogan and different guests
- 1:14Speaker 1: spanning dozens of episodes will pop up. If you listen
- 1:18Speaker 1: to Rogan a little more closely, you'll also know whenever
- 1:21Speaker 1: Epstein does come up, the infamous Lolita Express comes up too,
- 1:25Speaker 1: Epstein's private plane. Rogan usually brings it up in relation
- 1:30Speaker 1: to former President Bill Clinton by saying, while emphasizing every
- 1:34Speaker 1: single syllable... Bill Clinton wrote on the Lolita Express no
- 1:38Speaker 1: less than 26 times. Well, yeah, why shouldn't he bring
- 1:41Speaker 1: that up? It's like the author of this article is
- 1:44Speaker 1: mad that he would bring up Bill Clinton.
- 1:46Speaker 2: I don't understand.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I just don't understand what the whole rallying around Bill
- 1:50Speaker 1: Clinton is these days. I mean, the guy's been credibly
- 1:53Speaker 1: accused of by how many women and still he's like
- 1:56Speaker 1: somebody that people are rallying around to defend. And really
- 1:59Speaker 1: what that comes down to, folks, is tribalism, right? It
- 2:02Speaker 1: comes down to our side versus their side. We're going
- 2:05Speaker 1: to protect our side so it doesn't look like we're
- 2:07Speaker 1: all bad.
- 2:08Speaker 2: It's so stupid. And you know what?
- 2:10Speaker 1: Not to digress and jump off topic for a second. Well,
- 2:13Speaker 1: kind of the same topic, but lately on Twitter, on
- 2:17Speaker 1: a bunch of threads that I've been tagged in, I've
- 2:19Speaker 1: been seeing a lot of partisan tribalism and it's a
- 2:22Speaker 1: bunch of bullshit. If you tag me in one of
- 2:25Speaker 1: those posts with your tribalism and your nonsense, do not
- 2:29Speaker 1: expect a response from me. I'm not going to talk
- 2:32Speaker 1: about any of that BS. There is plenty of scumbags
- 2:36Speaker 1: to go around on both sides of the aisle, all right?
- 2:38Speaker 1: There's no good guys here. Everybody's a gray character, folks.
- 2:41Speaker 2: Come on now.
- 2:44Speaker 1: Worth noting, Rogan rarely brings up how many times current
- 2:47Speaker 1: President Donald Trump was on that very same plane. So
- 2:51Speaker 1: you have to engage in whataboutism, right? So if you
- 2:53Speaker 1: bring up one person, you have to bring up the other. No,
- 2:55Speaker 1: that's not how this works, okay? We talk about each person,
- 3:00Speaker 1: and we move forward and then talk about the next person.
- 3:03Speaker 1: We don't have to use whataboutism, okay? Just because you
- 3:06Speaker 1: bring up Clinton, you don't have to bring up Trump.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And just because you bring up Trump, you don't have
- 3:10Speaker 1: to bring up Clinton, okay? They're plenty scummy on their own, folks.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Which makes this week's guest a curious pick for the
- 3:18Speaker 1: podcast host. Rogan welcomed famed Los Angeles steakhouse chef Adam
- 3:23Speaker 1: Perry Lang, APL Restaurant, to talk about steak and how
- 3:27Speaker 1: Lang's ultra-high-end restaurant is faring during the lockdown. Lang is
- 3:33Speaker 1: a renowned chef and Rogan loves meat, so that bit
- 3:35Speaker 1: holds water. Okay, well, yeah, he is a renowned chef,
- 3:38Speaker 1: no doubt about it. And Rogan not only loves meat,
- 3:41Speaker 1: he's a prolific hunter. He does a lot of bow hunting,
- 3:43Speaker 1: if you're not familiar with Joe Rogan. So, yeah, I
- 3:46Speaker 1: could see why he won't. Look, I could understand why
- 3:49Speaker 1: Rogan would have a chef on the show, and I
- 3:51Speaker 1: could even understand why he'd have Adam Perry Lang on
- 3:53Speaker 1: the show. But what I don't understand is the lack
- 3:55Speaker 1: of hard questions. That is so un-Rogan-like that I don't
- 3:59Speaker 1: even know what's going on there. Like, did he have
- 4:02Speaker 1: a new strain of weed that he was blasting before
- 4:04Speaker 1: the show or during the show and it made him forget?
- 4:07Speaker 1: I mean, I want to give Joe Rogan the benefit
- 4:08Speaker 1: of the doubt more than anybody, honestly, because all kidding aside.
- 4:14Speaker 1: His podcast is something that is an incredible resource for
- 4:19Speaker 1: the most part. So it's just disappointing when you see
- 4:22Speaker 1: stuff like this and you see that Adam Perry Lang
- 4:25Speaker 1: was on there and he wasn't really quizzed the way
- 4:28Speaker 1: he should be. But Adam Perry Lang worked for Epstein
- 4:33Speaker 1: and Rogan somehow didn't bring this up a single time
- 4:36Speaker 1: during the two-hour interview. Instead, they talked about steak and
- 4:40Speaker 1: that's pretty much it. Look, I get it. Again, I
- 4:43Speaker 1: get it. Why Rogan wanted to have Adam Perry Lang
- 4:45Speaker 1: on the show, steaks, blah, blah, blah. I understand.
- 4:48Speaker 2: But come on, Joe.
- 4:49Speaker 1: There was nobody else that you could have picked to
- 4:51Speaker 1: be on the podcast. It had to be Adam Perry Lang.
- 4:54Speaker 1: There's nobody else that cooks a mean steak. I mean,
- 4:58Speaker 1: especially considering just recently Adam Perry Lang was... was brought
- 5:04Speaker 1: up in the papers from The Sun, in the documents
- 5:06Speaker 1: from The Sun, one of the 70 people. So you
- 5:09Speaker 1: would think Rogan would at the very least have a
- 5:12Speaker 1: couple of questions, right? Look, I have to tell you,
- 5:15Speaker 1: friend or not, if you come on to my podcast
- 5:18Speaker 1: or my show and you had anything to do with
- 5:20Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, you can expect I am talking the most hardball,
- 5:25Speaker 1: digging questions you can possibly imagine. And it won't be
- 5:30Speaker 1: done in a nice way, to be honest with you, right?
- 5:32Speaker 1: friend or not, you have to answer for your transgressions.
- 5:36Speaker 1: You have to answer for your time with Jeffrey Epstein.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I mean, has anybody asked this guy about it? Has
- 5:41Speaker 1: this guy really, has he ever come out and done
- 5:43Speaker 1: a full-on interview about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein or
- 5:46Speaker 1: what he saw while he was Epstein's chef?
- 5:50Speaker 2: Look, there's a lot there.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I mean, look, the end of the day, He can
- 5:55Speaker 1: end it all, Adam Perry Lankan, end it all by
- 5:57Speaker 1: coming out and doing an interview and explaining his role,
- 6:00Speaker 1: go to the FBI and tell them, look, this is
- 6:02Speaker 1: what I saw. Let's get on record.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Let's go on record.
- 6:05Speaker 1: I know that's what I would do if I was
- 6:07Speaker 1: in his shoes, but no, none of these people seem
- 6:09Speaker 1: to care enough about the survivors to do that.
- 6:12Speaker 2: All of these people want is for this to go away.
- 6:15Speaker 1: They don't want it to ruin their public image and
- 6:18Speaker 1: affect their ability to earn. That's all they care about.
- 6:21Speaker 1: They don't care about these survivors and it's sickening to me.
- 6:25Speaker 1: It was confirmed that Lang spent considerable time traveling with
- 6:28Speaker 1: Epstein and his crew to all the spots where Epstein
- 6:31Speaker 1: was allegedly flying in underage girls to attend lavish parties
- 6:34Speaker 1: he threw for celebrities, politicians, billionaires, and royalty. Lang himself
- 6:40Speaker 1: admitted he was on some of the flights and worked
- 6:42Speaker 1: in Epstein's homes, but told Eater in 2019 that he
- 6:46Speaker 1: was unaware of any wrongdoing going on all around him.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Oh yeah, I'm sure.
- 6:51Speaker 1: That's what they all said, right? And Eater, that was
- 6:53Speaker 1: the publication that chased him down. None of these legacy
- 6:56Speaker 1: media outlets thought it was appropriate to try and get
- 6:59Speaker 1: an interview with Jeffrey Epstein's private chef who was flying
- 7:03Speaker 1: all over the world with him on the plane doing
- 7:05Speaker 1: Lord knows what. Nobody thought that that would be an
- 7:07Speaker 1: interesting interview, huh? Nobody thought that some hard questions should
- 7:10Speaker 1: be asked. Boy, that legacy media sure cares about us.
- 7:14Speaker 1: What an absolute joke the legacy media is. An absolute
- 7:17Speaker 1: dumpster fire. My role was limited to meal preparation, Lange
- 7:22Speaker 1: told Eater. I was unaware of the depraved behavior and
- 7:26Speaker 1: have great sympathy and admiration for the brave women who
- 7:29Speaker 1: have come forward.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Well, have you come forward, Mr. Lange?
- 7:33Speaker 1: Have you shown great courage by coming forward, Mr. Lange?
- 7:39Speaker 1: The answer is no, of course not. None of these
- 7:41Speaker 1: guys have come forward because guess what? All of these
- 7:44Speaker 1: people have something to hide, in my opinion. Every single
- 7:46Speaker 1: one of these people was an enabler. Every single one
- 7:49Speaker 1: of these people that was palling around with Jeffrey Epstein
- 7:52Speaker 1: is under the microscope at this point. Lang hasn't offered
- 7:58Speaker 1: any more information since the conversation. In the years after
- 8:01Speaker 1: Lang worked for Epstein at his New Mexico ranch, Palm
- 8:04Speaker 1: Beach compound, New York penthouse, and private Caribbean island, he's
- 8:08Speaker 1: become the toast of the Los Angeles food scene, working
- 8:11Speaker 1: for Oprah, Mario Batali, and Jimmy Kimmel. The latter is
- 8:16Speaker 1: such a close friend that Kimmel let Lang live in
- 8:18Speaker 1: his beach house after his recent separation and divorce. Oh,
- 8:22Speaker 1: isn't that nice? Wasn't Jimmy Kimmel up there screaming down
- 8:25Speaker 1: from his ivory tower about the rest of us and
- 8:28Speaker 1: Kavanaugh and all these other people who were accused of
- 8:31Speaker 1: sexual assault? Yet he has this Jeffrey Epstein associate living
- 8:36Speaker 1: with him.
- 8:37Speaker 2: At his house?
- 8:37Speaker 1: This is what I mean about these hypocrites, folks, alright?
- 8:40Speaker 1: All of these hypocrites are ridiculous. I am so against
- 8:45Speaker 1: hero worshipping that I can't even begin to explain to
- 8:48Speaker 1: you How detrimental to people I think it is. You
- 8:52Speaker 1: should not be worshiping any of these famous people as heroes.
- 8:55Speaker 1: They are all great characters and they are all capable
- 8:58Speaker 1: of incredible evil like any other human being. Nobody, none
- 9:01Speaker 1: of these people should be put on a pedestal, especially
- 9:04Speaker 1: a guy like Jimmy Kimmel.
- 9:05Speaker 2: Give me a break with this guy.
- 9:08Speaker 1: Why Joe Rogan, a man fairly obsessed with Jeffrey Epstein
- 9:11Speaker 1: up to this point, chose not to ask a single
- 9:16Speaker 1: question about Epstein while sitting across from one of his
- 9:19Speaker 1: former personal chefs, who was regularly on the Lolita Express,
- 9:22Speaker 1: leaves a pretty big question mark. And he's receiving a
- 9:26Speaker 1: lot of ire from Rogan's fans in and on social
- 9:29Speaker 1: media and the comment section of the episode's YouTube page.
- 9:34Speaker 1: So there's a couple of comments from people that they posted.
- 9:37Speaker 1: One is from Pure Optics. Shout out to Pure Optics
- 9:40Speaker 1: from Twitter.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 9:43Speaker 1: So these are, you know, people that are asking questions
- 9:47Speaker 1: of why these questions weren't asked to the chef Adam
- 9:51Speaker 1: Perry Lang. And they're good questions, right? It's legit to
- 9:56Speaker 1: ask why Joe Rogan did not ask him anything about
- 9:59Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. all right that is a legit question to
- 10:02Speaker 1: ask it's a legit criticism and that's coming from one
- 10:05Speaker 1: of Joe Rogan's biggest fans I'll just straight up honest
- 10:10Speaker 1: with you the guy is an incredible story as far
- 10:14Speaker 1: as a podcaster goes and his show is just amazing
- 10:17Speaker 1: so it's disappointing to see stuff like this right So
- 10:20Speaker 1: the criticism is warranted and I think that going forward,
- 10:27Speaker 1: if anybody has this Adam Perry Lang sitting down in
- 10:30Speaker 1: front of them, you have to ask these questions, right?
- 10:33Speaker 1: You have to ask this guy what he knows, what
- 10:35Speaker 1: he was involved in, even if he just gives you
- 10:38Speaker 1: a canned answer and, you know, one of those prepared responses.
- 10:42Speaker 1: At the very least, you did your job as the
- 10:45Speaker 1: host of the show by trying to dig a little deeper. Instead,
- 10:48Speaker 1: they just talk about steak, et cetera, et cetera. I don't,
- 10:51Speaker 1: you know, it's one of the, honestly, honestly, this is
- 10:54Speaker 1: one of the worst episodes that I've ever listened to
- 10:58Speaker 1: on the Joe Rogan experience and what are their 1,470
- 11:01Speaker 1: episodes or something like that. So, you know, I understand
- 11:05Speaker 1: that you don't always get it right as a podcast
- 11:08Speaker 1: host or a content creator. Not everything is a home run.
- 11:11Speaker 1: Sometimes the content is eh. But when it comes to
- 11:14Speaker 1: situations like this and the fact that Epstein has, I mean,
- 11:17Speaker 1: Rogan has been so interested in the Epstein case, it's
- 11:19Speaker 1: just mind-boggling to think that he didn't have any questions
- 11:23Speaker 1: for Adam Perry Lang in regards to his relationship with
- 11:27Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein. Obviously, no one has to be fully accountable
- 11:32Speaker 1: for their associates or employers, but this topic seems like
- 11:35Speaker 1: a pretty large elephant to leave standing in the room.
- 11:38Speaker 1: Of course, nobody is responsible for all of their friends
- 11:41Speaker 1: or their boss or anything like that. Nobody's saying that, okay?
- 11:45Speaker 1: What I'm saying is this man was obviously around. He
- 11:48Speaker 1: was on the planes. He had first-hand knowledge. He witnessed
- 11:52Speaker 1: things first-hand. To say he saw nothing, you'd have to
- 11:54Speaker 1: be real naive to believe that, in my opinion.
- 11:57Speaker 2: So... It's warranted to ask this man, what have you seen?
- 12:02Speaker 2: What do you know?
- 12:04Speaker 1: But Joe Rogan took a different approach in this podcast,
- 12:07Speaker 1: and it's a disappointing situation. Because usually Rogan would be
- 12:12Speaker 1: all over it, right? So you can understand why people
- 12:15Speaker 1: are disappointed, and you can understand why people have questions.
- 12:19Speaker 2: I would hope that in the future.
- 12:21Speaker 1: If Perry Lang ever comes back onto the show, that
- 12:24Speaker 1: Rogan would ask him some harder questions, and really... you know,
- 12:29Speaker 1: travel down that road because the audience wants to know.
- 12:33Speaker 1: Everybody wants to know what Adam Perry Lang saw and
- 12:37Speaker 1: what he can add to the case. So he should
- 12:41Speaker 1: really come forward, talk to the investigators and clear his
- 12:44Speaker 1: name if he wasn't involved. But again, the only outlet
- 12:49Speaker 1: that has chased him down is Eater in 2019. This
- 12:52Speaker 1: isn't a story for the legacy media. Nobody in the
- 12:54Speaker 1: legacy media wants to talk to this guy. I mean,
- 12:58Speaker 1: think about the resources that the legacy media wastes on
- 13:01Speaker 1: dumb shit on a regular basis. But this guy, who
- 13:04Speaker 1: was a personal chef on the planes, named in the documents,
- 13:07Speaker 1: nobody wants to talk to him? Rogan doesn't even ask
- 13:09Speaker 1: him any questions? In my opinion, none of that is okay.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Adam Perry Lang must be questioned, and he must answer
- 13:22Speaker 1: why he was around Epstein for so long, and how
- 13:26Speaker 1: he can possibly say he did not see anything out
- 13:29Speaker 1: of the ordinary. I am sorry, but I do not
- 13:31Speaker 1: believe that, and I don't think anybody who is following
- 13:36Speaker 1: this case believes that. We know that all of these
- 13:39Speaker 1: people have the same excuse. Oh, I didn't see anything.
- 13:43Speaker 1: I wasn't around anything.
- 13:44Speaker 2: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 13:45Speaker 1: And they've been allowed to get away with that. No
- 13:47Speaker 1: hard questions. Nobody's challenged that. Everybody's just been like, oh, okay,
- 13:51Speaker 1: he said he didn't know anything.
- 13:52Speaker 2: So he's good. He's good to go.
- 13:55Speaker 1: It's like the Biden campaign coming out and saying, well,
- 13:57Speaker 1: the Times investigated this and they gave us a pass. No,
- 14:00Speaker 1: that's not good enough. Hard questions need to be asked.
- 14:04Speaker 1: And unfortunately, on this episode of the Joe Rogan Experience, that.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Was not accomplished.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Let's hope going forward that Adam Perry Lang is questioned
- 14:16Speaker 1: in the proper manner by authorities or the legacy media.
- 14:21Speaker 1: And let's see just exactly what what Adam Perry Lang knows.
- 14:28Speaker 1: If you'd like to contact me, you can do that
- 14:29Speaker 1: at bobbycappucci at protonmail.com. That's B-O-B-B-Y-C-A-P-U-C-C-I at protonmail.com. You can
- 14:37Speaker 1: also find me on Twitter at B-O-B-B-Y underscore C-A-P-U-C-C-I.
- 14:43Speaker 2: All right, folks.
