Starting July 1, Medicare is covering popular weight-loss drugs like Ozempic and Wegovy for just $50 a month under a new temporary program called the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge. Eligible seniors with certain health conditions or BMI levels can now access these treatments without paying hundreds of dollars out of pocket. Three drugs are included: Wegovy, Zepbound, and the new daily pill Foundayo. Your doctor handles prior authorization, and the $50 copay doesn’t count toward your deductible or out-of-pocket max.
