- 1:47Speaker 3: Is him?
- 1:48Speaker 1: I don't only forgot because they become friends. Dan, I'm
- 1:52Speaker 1: all messed up already. Creed is the villain in the
- 1:56Speaker 1: first the Rocky and y'all forget Rocky Boston Rocky one.
- 2:01Speaker 1: He did so good for he lost. That's why Creed
- 2:05Speaker 1: was pissed off. Okay, Polo Creed.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Follow Creed twice, Clubber Lane, I love Clupper Okay, Drago, Yeah,
- 2:15Speaker 2: Tommy I hated tom Me gun.
- 2:18Speaker 1: He turned his back on Rocky following the alley bare neck.
- 2:22Speaker 2: O and uh what's his name? And Tony it's not
- 2:28Speaker 2: Antonio and that's it.
- 2:32Speaker 1: That's it. Yeah, Wait, wasn't there like seven movies.
- 2:37Speaker 3: No, Rocky Bull was the last Rocky.
- 2:40Speaker 1: So he fought creating wanting to clever Lane.
- 2:47Speaker 3: You want if you.
- 2:48Speaker 1: Technically let's start holding in at the bottom. So three
- 2:52Speaker 1: is cluver Lane is the early villain. No, clever Lane
- 2:54Speaker 1: is the villain. Yeah, because clever Lane.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Was Colubber Lane was going for the jugging, wasn't. No,
- 2:59Speaker 2: I ain't gonna be your friend after this. That ain't
- 3:02Speaker 2: a followed, Cree. Now I ain't your friend. I'll be
- 3:05Speaker 2: I'll show you wife a good time. I'll show Adrian
- 3:08Speaker 2: what a real man looked like. Rocky ball Boy. You
- 3:11Speaker 2: tell Adrian to come on down to where I'm.
- 3:14Speaker 3: At, Cree.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Clever Lane is with who Rocky becomes in Rocky four
- 3:20Speaker 1: because he got to get out the mud and Rocky
- 3:22Speaker 1: four in Russia. Yeah, clever Lane was in the basement
- 3:25Speaker 1: with no equipment. Rocky was all Ferrari was rich, the
- 3:32Speaker 1: money boy. He squandered the money man. Clever Lane was
- 3:35Speaker 1: like man, Big James.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Clean, Big James Cleveland dunk.
- 3:40Speaker 1: Okay, man, Okay, shout out to mister d all right.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So let's let's go bottom up, okay, Right, Timmy is
- 3:48Speaker 2: at the bottom.
- 3:48Speaker 3: Let's get it out there.
- 3:50Speaker 1: We gotta keep talk hooking inn exhibition to thenks and
- 4:00Speaker 1: then why you hate Tommy so bad?
- 4:03Speaker 2: I mean it was just a Rocky five is just
- 4:06Speaker 2: bottom tiers, easily the worst Rocket, easily the worst Rocky.
- 4:13Speaker 3: And it was just like I just didn't like how
- 4:15Speaker 3: he turned on Rocky.
- 4:16Speaker 1: It didn't feel like it didn't feel like it was warranted. No,
- 4:20Speaker 1: it wasn't like.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I was like, there was no build up to it,
- 4:23Speaker 2: there was nothing to make to make it believable.
- 4:26Speaker 3: Why Tommy would turn on Rocket?
- 4:28Speaker 1: Yeah, I was just like, wait, why Yeah, right here
- 4:33Speaker 1: in the streets, it's like a street fighter background.
- 4:36Speaker 3: He was like yeah, in the touch me in out suit.
- 4:40Speaker 1: That part was funny, touch me suit. He looked just
- 4:44Speaker 1: like dark.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Kids he did.
- 4:46Speaker 1: You got Tommy at the very bottom, including hawkholder.
- 4:50Speaker 2: No disrespect to tom in real life. He passed away recipes.
- 4:53Speaker 2: But man, get him out. Didn't get him up out
- 4:56Speaker 2: of here. With all that being said, get him the
- 4:59Speaker 2: hell out of it, all right.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Who's next? You gotta be ho Hogan?
- 5:02Speaker 3: Man? Yeah, that was silly.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Well that was a circus and that what the hell
- 5:08Speaker 2: was going on here? And then then you don't realize
- 5:12Speaker 2: how big Hulk Hogan is until you see it with
- 5:15Speaker 2: a normal shorter Yeah, you know, semesters, the loan was
- 5:18Speaker 2: not tall. But when we see Hulk Hogan growing up
- 5:21Speaker 2: watching Hulk Hogan them other wrestlers, was big.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 5:24Speaker 2: And you see him fight Andre and the giant Hok hold. Look, Miniscy.
- 5:27Speaker 2: He is the he is the David in that Mann.
- 5:29Speaker 2: But then when you see Hog Hogan in the rocket ring,
- 5:32Speaker 2: You're like, wait, Honk Hogan is that tall?
- 5:36Speaker 1: Clawn had mercy Hong Hoogan came with the body with
- 5:39Speaker 1: the side from the jump man. I was the kid.
- 5:43Speaker 1: I was like, he's really comforted.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Was look this, there's nothing in the middle in the
- 5:48Speaker 3: upper back.
- 5:50Speaker 1: When he was in court, he had his professional black due.
- 5:54Speaker 1: So I can't go with the red and yellow accamedia
- 5:56Speaker 1: for cors. Seriously, I gotta get the you know what
- 5:58Speaker 1: I'm saying, the tablecloth black.
- 6:00Speaker 2: He was killing all right, man, look out man, we
- 6:05Speaker 2: know what you do.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Brother Johnna, you know saying, I'll see you in your chambers.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Your brother, I'm a woman, I know, sister brother, sister brother,
- 6:17Speaker 4: listen the case the case question brother.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Oh all right, So Hogan's number. He's second worst, so
- 6:29Speaker 1: we gotta go Tarbor next.
- 6:30Speaker 3: Tarbor.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Tarvor. He's just not really memorable as a film now.
- 6:36Speaker 1: He's just a real boxer that I knew was a boxer.
- 6:39Speaker 1: But story wise, I was just like, cool, man, it's cool.
- 6:44Speaker 2: They got a real boxer. And it was like, you know,
- 6:45Speaker 2: but there was no real there was really no real
- 6:50Speaker 2: beef on. No, you know, like they said, you know,
- 6:54Speaker 2: Rocket could statistically beat you, and it was just like it,
- 6:58Speaker 2: I'll take him on. And then exhibition. That was exhibition.
- 7:02Speaker 1: I didn't care. I didn't care at all.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Stakes was low.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I was just watching Rocket because I watched Rocky right.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I never even didn't even have a phone. I was
- 7:10Speaker 1: looking at my phone in the future. It's gonna be
- 7:13Speaker 1: crazy man.
- 7:14Speaker 3: And it was a nice redemption from Rocky five.
- 7:16Speaker 1: It was better than Rocky I remember Rocky five was like,
- 7:21Speaker 1: not only is it a bad movie, Rocky four is
- 7:24Speaker 1: my personal favorite Rocky movie. The drop off Mads five
- 7:29Speaker 1: feel way worse because you have Drago. The Cold War,
- 7:34Speaker 1: we was really afraid of Russia at that time. It
- 7:36Speaker 1: was always like, you know, the war, you know what
- 7:39Speaker 1: I'm saying. Cold War wasn't that far away. So and
- 7:45Speaker 1: then like I don't know how many how many years
- 7:46Speaker 1: was it in between four or five?
- 7:48Speaker 2: Four or five in that movie that Yes, Rocky five
- 7:54Speaker 2: was nineteen ninety, Rocky four was eighty seven.
- 7:58Speaker 1: Okay, So it's not long enough to be that bad.
- 8:00Speaker 2: No, because they had they had gaps like that in between,
- 8:04Speaker 2: Like I think it was a couple of years between
- 8:06Speaker 2: one and two.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Yeah, there was a couple more years, maybe three.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Between two and three, yep, yep.
- 8:11Speaker 2: And then there was a probably the biggest gap was
- 8:15Speaker 2: up until that point was between three and four.
- 8:18Speaker 1: And then so I was still hype. Yeah, and then
- 8:21Speaker 1: Tommy ain't. I was just like, yeah, you probably. I
- 8:24Speaker 1: remember being like, y'all, don't.
- 8:25Speaker 3: I like the fact that it was a street fight,
- 8:27Speaker 3: that was the.
- 8:28Speaker 1: Only thing, but it was. But I didn't care. I
- 8:31Speaker 1: didn't care, and I hated Tommy even when Tommy was
- 8:33Speaker 1: on his side. Tommy was not likable as a character.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I just didn't like Tommy just.
- 8:38Speaker 1: He had the mullet and stuff. He would have called
- 8:41Speaker 1: you a nigga for show the show Man. I can
- 8:43Speaker 1: see that the show.
- 8:44Speaker 2: They knock you out when you're gonna do something about it, Hey,
- 8:47Speaker 2: who are you calling it? Because he was knocking cats
- 8:51Speaker 2: out in real life he was a.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Little scanning man was he was wild.
- 8:57Speaker 3: He was a wild boy.
- 8:59Speaker 1: I remember feeling bad for Rocky. I was like, you
- 9:02Speaker 1: cannot fight this dude. He's young.
- 9:04Speaker 2: I always feel bad for Rocky. Rocky boy is such
- 9:08Speaker 2: a nice guy man.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Yes, he has a as a character. He's a lovable
- 9:13Speaker 1: loof Yeah, and then he gets beat up.
- 9:16Speaker 3: Man.
- 9:17Speaker 1: That's why the Creed movies Loki did he win an
- 9:22Speaker 1: oscar for one of them?
- 9:22Speaker 3: He got nominated for the first Creed.
- 9:24Speaker 1: The punched up older Rocky. I would lost it all.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Don't even want to do this anymore. Sylvester Saloon played
- 9:33Speaker 1: that role, Oh for sure, perfectly. I remember being like, man,
- 9:36Speaker 1: this dude when he lost it was like he never
- 9:39Speaker 1: got it back.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Good.
- 9:41Speaker 1: It's really a tragic story with a little piece of good.
- 9:44Speaker 3: He was rich, get lost.
- 9:48Speaker 1: What is gambling? Gambling?
- 9:50Speaker 2: Gambling and squandering and making bad deals.
- 9:56Speaker 3: Trash. His brother in law was trash from the junk
- 9:59Speaker 3: he was.
- 9:59Speaker 1: He was treating Adrian terrible. We just rewatched it with
- 10:02Speaker 1: the boys. We had to stop because there's some non
- 10:05Speaker 1: consensual stuff that wouldn't fly today. When Rocky goes to
- 10:08Speaker 1: Adrian's apartment, he puts his hand on the door, blocks her.
- 10:14Speaker 1: Just give me a kiss, man kiss. The boys were like, hey,
- 10:18Speaker 1: we were taught. It was cringe city. Rocky was saying
- 10:24Speaker 1: that Rocky blocks her and he's like, I just want
- 10:28Speaker 1: to know you didn't got to go nowhere. Just give
- 10:29Speaker 1: me a kill. No, this is the first date and
- 10:35Speaker 1: he goes a kisser. She's like, and I take you
- 10:39Speaker 1: And the kids were like, come on man. Isaaid looked
- 10:43Speaker 1: at it. He's like, man, when was this maid?
- 10:44Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 10:45Speaker 3: I was like, this is like Rocky was just taking it.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Then they was just like, no, you go give.
- 10:53Speaker 1: Me this with the door blocking posited, I was like,
- 10:57Speaker 1: now listen, boys, this is this is what we're talking.
- 11:00Speaker 1: I can see it because he obviously she does not
- 11:02Speaker 1: want to be here. You never want to block her
- 11:04Speaker 1: in a crime. This is a crime.
- 11:09Speaker 3: She had social anxiety a time.
- 11:12Speaker 1: She did We didn't go back was.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Crippling, shyness, terble rocket All right, who we got next?
- 11:23Speaker 1: This is where it's gonna get tough. We got Drago
- 11:27Speaker 1: Clubver Lane Creed.
- 11:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna go Drago next because Lane, because outside of
- 11:37Speaker 2: him actually killing Apollo Creed and it was harmless.
- 11:44Speaker 1: Really, you couldn't take it dog. The thing that messed
- 11:50Speaker 1: me up about the thing about that scene that was
- 11:57Speaker 1: an exhibition bout. Yeah, that wasn't even a schedule for twelve.
- 12:03Speaker 1: It was supposed to be three three rounds and he
- 12:08Speaker 1: in the black dude.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Yeah, we always use that meme man throw the down man.
- 12:21Speaker 2: But outside of the way Drago was set up is
- 12:24Speaker 2: minimal personality.
- 12:26Speaker 3: It's like, if he dies, he dies. It's just this
- 12:29Speaker 3: is what we do.
- 12:30Speaker 2: I like Drago better than the Creed movies because we
- 12:32Speaker 2: get to see him as a human being. But it
- 12:35Speaker 2: was just like a feeling the steaks, of course, that's
- 12:38Speaker 2: what I was gonna says.
- 12:40Speaker 1: And the intimidation factor because of like Drago was like
- 12:48Speaker 1: towering or like cluver Lane. I mean cluver Lane and Creed,
- 12:52Speaker 1: like obviously they're better boxers, but they were like not
- 12:54Speaker 1: physically imposing to Rocky. So when he was fighting Creative,
- 12:58Speaker 1: I was like, this is believable. When Drago was fighting him,
- 13:01Speaker 1: I was like, he's good, and he had killed Creed,
- 13:03Speaker 1: who was a better boxer than Rocket, but now he's
- 13:08Speaker 1: a murderous exhibition or killer, but also being honest. That's
- 13:13Speaker 1: the first Rocky movie I saw. And then I went back.
- 13:16Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, But I won't argue because
- 13:19Speaker 1: I feel like clever Lane.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Clother Lane is killing him in personality though, man, clever Lane,
- 13:24Speaker 2: clever Lane was just he he busted out of the
- 13:29Speaker 2: pages of the script.
- 13:32Speaker 1: It was just and mister T was at his a pass.
- 13:35Speaker 3: This is what made him a star.
- 13:37Speaker 1: Yes, he first of all, he was so good like
- 13:42Speaker 1: as an actor and even more than the A team.
- 13:45Speaker 1: I love a team, be a Barrackets, big fan, but
- 13:47Speaker 1: as clever Lane. I was like, man, man, he's he's hell.
- 13:51Speaker 3: He had to get more of him. We was like, yo,
- 13:54Speaker 3: I need more mister T.
- 13:55Speaker 1: He was coming to the press conference. It wasn't waiting
- 13:57Speaker 1: his turn. I believe, man, shut up, fight me nat Man.
- 14:02Speaker 1: He had the mister T haircut.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I was like, Yo, this dude is wild.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I love Drago though Trogo is great, is a great villain,
- 14:11Speaker 2: but he's one note.
- 14:12Speaker 1: He's a robot. There's a robot and he had all
- 14:15Speaker 1: the stuff. Yeah, you know he was That's what I
- 14:18Speaker 1: think what I love about it, and I agree personality wise,
- 14:21Speaker 1: the Steaks seemed the highest. With Drago.
- 14:24Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, for sure, we lost somebody.
- 14:27Speaker 2: We lost some of the first time somebody died, yes,
- 14:30Speaker 2: well not I mean, I think Mickey died like the
- 14:33Speaker 2: third one, but he wasn't murdered.
- 14:35Speaker 3: Yeah, he was old. We knew it was coming.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Right, and the Drago had no remorse for the murder.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Yeah, if he dies, he.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Dies, I said, you gotta get him man cold. What
- 14:48Speaker 1: year was that ninety?
- 14:49Speaker 3: Well for a rock for eighty seven?
- 14:52Speaker 2: Was it eighty six or eighty seven?
- 14:55Speaker 1: Was eighty five?
- 14:57Speaker 3: It was eighty five?
- 14:58Speaker 2: Yeah, and then the Rocky five is ninety ninety.
- 15:00Speaker 3: Oh, so that was a big gap.
- 15:02Speaker 1: Everything has three years except for Rocky four and five.
- 15:04Speaker 1: Rocky four is older than I thought it was.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Dang.
- 15:08Speaker 1: My aunt had all these movies on.
- 15:09Speaker 2: That's eighty five, hs, Dang, I was thinking it was
- 15:13Speaker 2: eighty seven. But now that I think about it, I'm.
- 15:16Speaker 1: Gonna go with you.
- 15:17Speaker 2: Also, I have the tiger theme song was pretty great
- 15:19Speaker 2: in that movie too. That definitely helps Rocky. Rocky wait
- 15:23Speaker 2: out of the Tigers and Rocky three, that's four.
- 15:25Speaker 3: That's four.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Wow, that's what Rocky was the most I was the
- 15:30Speaker 1: most in.
- 15:30Speaker 3: That's my favorite Rockey.
- 15:31Speaker 1: He was like, man, I'm going to Russia. I'm chopping
- 15:35Speaker 1: trees and I'm running through the snow.
- 15:37Speaker 3: I'm all alone.
- 15:38Speaker 1: He didn't even have nobody in the camp with him.
- 15:41Speaker 1: He was Dolo in Russia, like, I'm about to take you.
- 15:44Speaker 1: It's very much miracle on ice. We're going against the Soviets,
- 15:48Speaker 1: like you know what I'm saying. They had all those elements.
- 15:50Speaker 3: It was eighties.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Drogo had the tall Russian wife.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Bridget Nielsen. Man, I liked her Bridge Nielsen.
- 15:57Speaker 2: She was she was the woman of the din.
- 16:00Speaker 1: He marry her Rocky, I think that was.
- 16:02Speaker 3: Yeah, they were, they were together.
- 16:03Speaker 1: He married for He was like, girl, Listenna, take it,
- 16:05Speaker 1: get in, get it on what we're trying to do,
- 16:09Speaker 1: all right, So I feel like you're gonna go CLUBB
- 16:11Speaker 1: Lang next club Lane. You got to go club CLUBB
- 16:14Speaker 1: and Lang is next clubber Lane got to go.
- 16:16Speaker 2: He had number two spot. He had number two spot though,
- 16:21Speaker 2: and of course and Creed Pollo.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Creed is number one.
- 16:25Speaker 2: What a great because he morphed into like I always say,
- 16:29Speaker 2: the best villains have layers, and he went from villain
- 16:34Speaker 2: to a great friend, to a mentor, to a partner.
- 16:37Speaker 2: It was just and he got the the he is
- 16:40Speaker 2: the reason for the spin off. And I was rooting
- 16:44Speaker 2: for a pollow Creed where and the first is like, man,
- 16:48Speaker 2: I like a Polo Creed.
- 16:50Speaker 1: I don't want him to lose.
- 16:52Speaker 3: So it was like.
- 16:54Speaker 1: He's written for you to like Rocky Tony. He's like, man,
- 16:55Speaker 1: watch man, I'm my mom to trade.
- 16:58Speaker 3: About Harvor me the root against.
- 17:01Speaker 1: He was so mad at Rocky when he just got close. Yeah,
- 17:05Speaker 1: he was like fighting a kid. I got in lost.
- 17:11Speaker 1: Also recipes called Weather's Bad. Weathers was an amazing actor.
- 17:17Speaker 1: One of my favorite things he was when he was
- 17:19Speaker 1: in Happy Gilmour with the head. It was so funny
- 17:24Speaker 1: type of gags. I'm never too old for him.
- 17:29Speaker 2: He was like he was always he was using that
- 17:33Speaker 2: hand and that made it so funny to me. He
- 17:36Speaker 2: was like he got me, but I got his eye
- 17:39Speaker 2: or he was tapping the jaw was so big hand
- 17:45Speaker 2: because it made his arm look super long in the sweaters,
- 17:49Speaker 2: Like who gave him his hand?
- 17:52Speaker 1: I was crying at that. He was in that movie
- 17:57Speaker 1: a lot too. He was always in the yep. He
- 18:02Speaker 1: was the mentor.
- 18:03Speaker 2: Yeah something was always happening into that hand throughout the movie.
- 18:07Speaker 2: Got crushed when he tried to shake it and he
- 18:09Speaker 2: was gluing it back together, and then it got knocked
- 18:12Speaker 2: off and then run over and he had to piece
- 18:14Speaker 2: it back together. Come on, man, there is no tomorrow.
- 18:18Speaker 2: That line Apollo Creek, there is no tomorrow. You felt
- 18:23Speaker 2: that in your spirits.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Man. He was also really good. Was it Predator?
- 18:26Speaker 2: He was in Yes, as Jackson, him and Arnold have
- 18:30Speaker 2: I used it so of all top ten?
- 18:33Speaker 1: Jazz used that I sent it to black Day, Like
- 18:36Speaker 1: who is the white man? I'm Carl Weathers in the gym?
- 18:38Speaker 1: Whoever sent it to Carl Weathers? Yeah, because he got
- 18:41Speaker 1: the smile. Also Thick stash Man, Oh yeah, Carl Wellers
- 18:45Speaker 1: came in with the eighties here.
- 18:46Speaker 3: Mind me and my dad man that like, yeah.
- 18:49Speaker 1: That's your father's that mustache full of coffee and regret.
- 18:53Speaker 3: Yep. He was a man. He was a man.
- 18:56Speaker 1: That was a man.
- 18:58Speaker 3: He was a man. Action Jackson Man had vanity with him.
- 19:01Speaker 3: She was fine as him. He's flipping over taxi cabs.
- 19:04Speaker 3: It was just great.
- 19:06Speaker 1: Yeah, you know what, since we're here, let's just do
- 19:08Speaker 1: the creed villains separately, okay, just not Rockies box. So
- 19:12Speaker 1: Creed we got what uh he had. Drago's son was
- 19:18Speaker 1: the second Creed, second Creed. Okay, so Drago number two,
- 19:22Speaker 1: which basically he did the same thing his dad had
- 19:24Speaker 1: without the Russia thing. First one he lost Danny Wheeler
- 19:30Speaker 1: and he just got beat up in the Yeah, Victor
- 19:34Speaker 1: the son, who's the villain. So the third one is
- 19:36Speaker 1: Jonathan Major's character Dominic, I believe.
- 19:39Speaker 2: Is the first movie.
- 19:42Speaker 1: He was a real box ar thing too, so we.
- 19:44Speaker 3: Put him last. He's out there already.
- 19:49Speaker 1: Drago his son had the same set up without the flare,
- 19:54Speaker 1: the same setup as what like the Son of Draga
- 19:57Speaker 1: versus Son of Creed, but we didn't have the Russia.
- 20:02Speaker 3: Yes, they were underdogs for sure.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Now now you know when they would when they were
- 20:07Speaker 2: gearing up to fight Creed, you were sympathetic to them
- 20:11Speaker 2: because it was gritty where they were training, and you know,
- 20:14Speaker 2: the family shunned them, and you know, out they failed
- 20:18Speaker 2: and it was just like, oh, y'all, turn y'all back
- 20:20Speaker 2: on him because he failed. So now all of a
- 20:22Speaker 2: sudden you're feeling sorry for Drago. You were like, wait
- 20:25Speaker 2: a minute, hold on, man, you killed Apollo Creed. But
- 20:29Speaker 2: now I'm over here, like man man, you know they
- 20:33Speaker 2: did it dirty man, just because you're lost. And then
- 20:37Speaker 2: and of course Jathan may just be first.
- 20:42Speaker 1: He was.
- 20:44Speaker 2: Yeah, he's exciting because it's just easy.
- 20:49Speaker 1: It's easy.
- 20:50Speaker 3: This is super easy, all right.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Next up, we got the Mount Rushmore of comedians in
- 20:59Speaker 1: dramatic world. I don't even know if Mount restaurants enough,
- 21:03Speaker 1: but we can we can try.
- 21:05Speaker 3: Okay, So comedians and dramatical.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Meetians and dramatic roles. We need the best four, the
- 21:11Speaker 1: top four comedians in dramatic dramatic role. Robin Williams, good
- 21:14Speaker 1: Will Hunting, good Will hunt That's what I was gonna say. First,
- 21:18Speaker 1: let's just cut the ship that you can't get him off.
- 21:21Speaker 3: Let's cut the ship.
- 21:22Speaker 2: Not being funny Robin Williams because low key taking up
- 21:25Speaker 2: the whole Mount Rushmore by himself. But you can't because
- 21:29Speaker 2: it's Eddie Murphy. Robin Williams and Good Morning Vietnam.
- 21:36Speaker 1: He was a little funnier than that. He was. He
- 21:39Speaker 1: was on the funny side. But Eddie Murphy, as Jimmy Early,
- 21:43Speaker 1: you won't take it from me, okay, because Eddie Murphy
- 21:47Speaker 1: hit them like he had the he had to down
- 21:50Speaker 1: the dol drums. Yeah up, team years solid is it?
- 21:55Speaker 1: It's full just dramatic. He's dramatic the kind of silly. Yes, charisma,
- 22:00Speaker 1: but but it gets to the like gets it gets
- 22:02Speaker 1: to the nitty gritty, but.
- 22:06Speaker 3: He's silly in there. Jamie Fox and Ray is solidified.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Okay, now that's yeah, Okay, I'll put Jamie there, no question. Literally,
- 22:17Speaker 1: I still can't believe Jamie Fox had Ray and Collateral
- 22:21Speaker 1: in the same.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Game, nominated for both.
- 22:24Speaker 1: That was Collateral for me, don't get talked about enough.
- 22:28Speaker 1: How good of a movie.
- 22:29Speaker 3: That is a good time.
- 22:30Speaker 1: Him and Tom Cruise were equally matched acting wise there.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Tom Cruise is.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Good in that what as an assassin with.
- 22:39Speaker 2: No I don't buy them forwarding him in the end
- 22:44Speaker 2: one thousand.
- 22:46Speaker 1: That was like, Tom Cruise should have won. You should
- 22:48Speaker 1: have killed Ja and walked out the street for bloody
- 22:52Speaker 1: Jamie Fox should have never gotten the way, Jamie gonna
- 22:55Speaker 1: be three burners to figure out what was happening. People
- 23:00Speaker 1: on people out the windows. I was like, he looked
- 23:03Speaker 1: like almost like an anime villain. Anime they be having
- 23:06Speaker 1: the blood on the face when he got shot and
- 23:08Speaker 1: he came out with the blood with the gray hair.
- 23:10Speaker 1: I was like, this is a die. He was too
- 23:14Speaker 1: efficient and it took him a long time to die.
- 23:15Speaker 1: On the train he got he was still riding.
- 23:19Speaker 3: He was.
- 23:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, I know, I know they had to
- 23:24Speaker 2: do it, but we was like, nah.
- 23:27Speaker 1: If that movie ended with Tom Cruise winning, I'd been like,
- 23:30Speaker 1: this is probably would have realistic. They already told you
- 23:32Speaker 1: the story of the other time that happened in.
- 23:34Speaker 3: His life, Like Jaden, you were a mark.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I love that. My favorite part of that movie is
- 23:42Speaker 1: when Tom Cruise told Jerry fox Man, you ain't never
- 23:44Speaker 1: gonna open that limbo be limbo business man ship. The
- 23:47Speaker 1: hell no, you ain't saving for no.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Perm Tom was right, we would be bullshit.
- 23:53Speaker 1: Jamie's like, he's got to get the permits. I got
- 23:55Speaker 1: the insurances, gotta get paid. Where he was like, man,
- 23:57Speaker 1: you ain't doing nothing. You're gonna be driving this taxi
- 23:59Speaker 1: for ever. If you wanted to do it, you would
- 24:01Speaker 1: have did it. Jamie was like, he would did it already.
- 24:04Speaker 3: Man, you would have done it.
- 24:06Speaker 1: I'm finnah, start driving hard. People want to hear, they
- 24:11Speaker 1: don't want to hear. But Jamie took it to heart,
- 24:13Speaker 1: and he hoped he better had opened it up. Now,
- 24:18Speaker 1: come on, Tony, get it together. Boom, we're backing business,
- 24:24Speaker 1: all right.
- 24:24Speaker 2: So we got Jamie and Ray, we got Robin Williams
- 24:27Speaker 2: and Goodwill Hunting. YEP, I like Adam Sandling uncut gems
- 24:31Speaker 2: a lot. I feel like he got snubbed by the Oscars.
- 24:36Speaker 1: I okay, I wasn't thinking that, but that movie was
- 24:40Speaker 1: a good time.
- 24:41Speaker 2: That's not his first Foray and Nomic Woods, but he
- 24:44Speaker 2: was that movie right there that he was booty cheeks clinched,
- 24:50Speaker 2: O stress that movie.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I watched it by myself in Sacramento, me into here
- 24:54Speaker 1: how to show that day and I had my booty
- 24:57Speaker 1: cheeks clinched because it's high octane till the very end.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Your nerves are on.
- 25:03Speaker 1: Frazzle dog, I was liking with some cold peas. Man, Oh,
- 25:09Speaker 1: this is it. You're right Aaron, Monique and precious.
- 25:13Speaker 3: There we go, Eddie Murphy not making the cut.
- 25:15Speaker 1: This is hold on. Let me just write, Addie Murphy
- 25:22Speaker 1: can't push Robin off of will Hunting. It's not your fault.
- 25:27Speaker 1: No man, get away from you, John, Robin Williams, your father.
- 25:31Speaker 1: He man don't do this to Ben. It's not your fault.
- 25:34Speaker 1: Matt Damn broke man. I just watched that. Sometimes when
- 25:37Speaker 1: I want to be sad, I'll be like, it's not
- 25:39Speaker 1: your father, don't do this to me. It just kept
- 25:43Speaker 1: getting close. Not your fault.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Robin Williams is the blueprint for me for a comedic
- 25:52Speaker 2: comedian doing dramatic roles.
- 25:54Speaker 3: He's He's the He's the blueprint.
- 25:57Speaker 1: What about Kevin harton UH True Story? In True Story
- 26:01Speaker 1: or in UH the One We're the other Side, The
- 26:07Speaker 1: Upside the Upside.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Kevin was great in both of those.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I feel like we got to throw the honorable mentions
- 26:12Speaker 1: for them.
- 26:13Speaker 3: I don't think, but.
- 26:15Speaker 1: True Story is technically a it's not a movie, but
- 26:18Speaker 1: it's a dramatic role. But Kevin Hart and True Story was.
- 26:22Speaker 2: One best movies to me. Our True Story in the
- 26:27Speaker 2: Upside me too.
- 26:28Speaker 1: As an actor. I was like, and I don't like
- 26:32Speaker 1: I think to me other than those I like him
- 26:34Speaker 1: in Think like a Man? He was, he was great
- 26:37Speaker 1: and he was perfectly slotted. Didn't think like a man.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I feel like some movies sway too much of his
- 26:43Speaker 1: comedic personality and they go into like Zany and stuff unbelievable,
- 26:47Speaker 1: and others like the Lift had like none of his
- 26:52Speaker 1: comedic personality, but not dramatic enough to be like, oh,
- 26:55Speaker 1: he's not playing that. He's just kind of this weird
- 26:57Speaker 1: in between space. But he was a scene stealing think
- 27:00Speaker 1: like a like a man who's perfect. Same thing for
- 27:03Speaker 1: the old version. He's in one scene and it's just
- 27:06Speaker 1: up there right under Kelly Clarkson. First of all, I
- 27:08Speaker 1: don't understand what you're saying, so I'm gonna take it.
- 27:11Speaker 3: This disrespect watch the mouth and helped me with the.
- 27:14Speaker 1: Sin you want a nigga, nigga here now go.
- 27:18Speaker 3: He thought he was running a smart tick. That hole
- 27:22Speaker 3: exchange is just brilliant.
- 27:24Speaker 2: I love it this you may right, I'll come both
- 27:28Speaker 2: y'all niggas getting.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Clapped up like I could see. I was like, he
- 27:32Speaker 1: gonna be Yeah, he gonna be a star. So Kevin Hart,
- 27:35Speaker 1: we're gonna give him an honorable mention. And who's the
- 27:38Speaker 1: other one? Said Eddie Murphy.
- 27:39Speaker 3: Eddie Murphy, I don't think I feel like Jim Carrey.
- 27:43Speaker 1: Okaye on The Spotless Mind. Oh, Eternal Sunshine.
- 27:47Speaker 2: I don't like that movie as much as everybody else,
- 27:49Speaker 2: but I respect it dramatic.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Oh snap, whoop woopy Goldberg wasn't.
- 27:56Speaker 3: Was Goldberg and the color purple? Ah, man, let's look
- 28:02Speaker 3: back at this.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Right, Let's put the list up. Man, Let's look back
- 28:06Speaker 1: all right. Adam Sanders out, I'll play, We'll take Adam
- 28:11Speaker 1: mount and whoopies gotta go in. She deserved an Oscar
- 28:15Speaker 1: for that she did. She you wouldn't even know she
- 28:17Speaker 1: was a comedian ever, She's not one hundred percent. I'm sorry,
- 28:21Speaker 1: Adam honorable mention.
- 28:23Speaker 2: Yeah, Whoopy gotta be over there, because that colored purple
- 28:26Speaker 2: performance was just perfect.
- 28:28Speaker 1: She was killing. Okay, so we got right now. We
- 28:32Speaker 1: got Robin Williams and Goodwill Hunting, we got Jamie Fox
- 28:35Speaker 1: and Ray, we got Whoopy in color purple. We got
- 28:38Speaker 1: Monique and Precious honorable mentioned a second Mountain, Kevin Hart
- 28:42Speaker 1: doing Second Story, were doing Second mount Addie Murphy and
- 28:47Speaker 1: dream Girls and Adam Sander and uncutching.
- 28:50Speaker 3: Now whooping goes.
- 28:51Speaker 1: No, didn't she win oscar?
- 28:53Speaker 3: She wont toskar for.
- 28:54Speaker 1: But it was a gimme back.
- 28:55Speaker 2: That was a givea when she was good and goes.
- 28:58Speaker 2: Don't get me wrong, but I.
- 29:01Speaker 3: Come on.
- 29:03Speaker 1: And Jim Carrey he low key. This is not a
- 29:07Speaker 1: dramatic role. But Jim Carrey and Truman Show is a
- 29:11Speaker 1: masterclass in his ability of acting. It's not as like
- 29:16Speaker 1: when he was in the Mask. I was like, all right,
- 29:19Speaker 1: and I love Jim Carrey, but that Zany was like
- 29:23Speaker 1: it was eyes eyes, I was it was too much.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Dumb and Dumber is like my favorite Jim Carrey movie,
- 29:32Speaker 1: Cable Guys.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Is also you like Cable Guys more than most people. No,
- 29:36Speaker 2: I love it like dumb number Yeah what dumb dumb
- 29:43Speaker 2: for me? Like silly man for me?
- 29:46Speaker 1: You don't like you need to get a give up
- 29:48Speaker 1: and you always you like serious cam, you need silly.
- 29:51Speaker 3: I'll say this.
- 29:52Speaker 2: I'll say this I am guilty of, Like all right,
- 29:55Speaker 2: if I feel like you trying to make me laugh,
- 29:58Speaker 2: I'm gonna be like, you're trying too hard. And for
- 30:01Speaker 2: me it felt like Jim Carrey was always trying too hard.
- 30:04Speaker 2: So initially as Ventur, I was like, man, you're doing
- 30:07Speaker 2: too much. But then when I went back to a
- 30:10Speaker 2: Ventur later, I was like, yo, this is funny.
- 30:13Speaker 3: But the Mask. I was still to this day with
- 30:16Speaker 3: the Mask, but.
- 30:19Speaker 1: I recently watched Dumb and Dumber like.
- 30:21Speaker 3: A month ago.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Holds up and I was just like, all right, this
- 30:25Speaker 1: is this is cool.
- 30:26Speaker 2: But because I did a poll, what y'all like better
- 30:29Speaker 2: dumb and dumber or there's something about Mary, and surprisingly
- 30:33Speaker 2: dumb and dumber won.
- 30:35Speaker 1: Be a surprise.
- 30:36Speaker 2: I was like, man, there's something about Mary is way
- 30:39Speaker 2: funnier to me.
- 30:40Speaker 1: No, I love there's something about Mary. Man, you're forgetting
- 30:45Speaker 1: how many funny things happen in Dumb and Dumber? Tome
- 30:47Speaker 1: I just I just watched it. Then you forgot since
- 30:50Speaker 1: then that just watched our pets has the fighting out,
- 30:53Speaker 1: they take the birds head back. You can't trip, but
- 30:57Speaker 1: doumbles down. You get he Jim Carrie had who gloves are?
- 31:00Speaker 1: He said? Man has her call? Take this extra pair? He'said,
- 31:04Speaker 1: you have two percent? It's a winter tar like.
- 31:07Speaker 2: Come on, man, those is minimal last big gumps hung
- 31:11Speaker 2: Come on man beans. He was masturbating Frank There's something
- 31:17Speaker 2: there's something about Mary.
- 31:19Speaker 3: Waste no time with the jokes. This is in the beginning.
- 31:25Speaker 2: I did you give it means mother, frankment, what's going on?
- 31:27Speaker 3: Man? Everybody just coming the fireman in the window.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Take a look at what this numbnuts did holy ship.
- 31:36Speaker 2: It was just like he was masterbating. He in the
- 31:39Speaker 2: community yelling. Was he yelling this?
- 31:42Speaker 1: He? David was so funny with the nut in her hand.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Yes, and then the plot twists at the end. That's
- 31:50Speaker 2: a comedy. That's a comedy with a great ending.
- 31:53Speaker 1: It is. I love that movie, don't get me wrong.
- 31:57Speaker 1: But Dumb and Dumber is funny.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Man, it's funny.
- 32:01Speaker 1: But it was all right, No, man, I won't do
- 32:04Speaker 1: this podcast. Take it back.
- 32:06Speaker 2: I wouldn't laughing that hard man. But there's something about
- 32:09Speaker 2: Mary is one of the best comedies.
- 32:12Speaker 1: Fits perfect and that is his thing. Loki. Have you
- 32:15Speaker 1: watch you ain't watched uh alp a plus TV show
- 32:20Speaker 1: that he's directing, executive producing where they have their they
- 32:26Speaker 1: got one personality on the outside and another personality at work. Patreon,
- 32:31Speaker 1: please help me. Ben Steeler Ben Stiller directed at Execut Producers.
- 32:34Speaker 1: But he's not in it, Adam, something's in.
- 32:36Speaker 3: It, Adam Driver.
- 32:38Speaker 1: No severance, Oh severance, that's Ben Stiller. Ben Stiller produced
- 32:44Speaker 1: and direct. You need to watch it. Ton, Okay, for
- 32:47Speaker 1: a minute, you ain't been listening. It's been still, it's been.
- 32:50Speaker 1: Stiller is just behind, just behind the scenes. But it's even.
- 32:54Speaker 3: A behind the scenes type of guy for long. Yeah.
- 32:56Speaker 1: Yeah, alright, so we feel strongly about that. I don't
- 33:02Speaker 1: I can't see Kevin Hart, Eddie Murphy or Jim replacing Monique.
- 33:07Speaker 1: That that performance precious Oscar.
- 33:11Speaker 2: I mean, y'all keep saying Mike Ibsen sparkle. No, I
- 33:15Speaker 2: see y'all, no, young keep saying it. But no, nah man,
- 33:22Speaker 2: you're good.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Uh. I did like Jim Carrey Swole's mind, but it's
- 33:27Speaker 1: not it's not the top four. Shoot. Three of the
- 33:30Speaker 1: four of these people won Oscars.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Yeah, and and uh, I don't care what anybody says.
- 33:38Speaker 3: That ghost Oscar was for the color purple.
- 33:40Speaker 2: Yeah, that ghost Oscar was for the color purple. Nothing
- 33:48Speaker 2: about that role in Ghosts Screams Oscar.
- 33:55Speaker 1: I get you.
- 33:55Speaker 3: I'm with you. She was, she was a good time.
- 33:57Speaker 3: She stole scenes. But it wasn't like.
- 34:01Speaker 1: Is that that you're in danger girl? Yeah? Yeah, she
- 34:05Speaker 1: was good.
- 34:05Speaker 3: She was really good.
- 34:08Speaker 1: No, no, no, color purple was a snub, which is
- 34:11Speaker 1: my I told you, that's my issue with the Oscar.
- 34:14Speaker 3: They was like, we fumbled with the color purple. Here's
- 34:17Speaker 3: your Yeah.
- 34:19Speaker 1: All right, y'all, that's enough. For today. We'll see you
- 34:22Speaker 1: next week. This is a podcast disguise for me and
- 34:24Speaker 1: Tony to talk about movies. We'll fit other stuff in,
- 34:27Speaker 1: but we always gonna figure out a way to talk
- 34:29Speaker 1: about some movies. All right, We'll see you next time.
