Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: We are on day twenty eight of the government shutdown,
- 0:04Speaker 1: and not only that, we're a week away from arguably
- 0:08Speaker 1: one of the most transformational in a bad way elections
- 0:14Speaker 1: in New York City's lifetime. Here on one look up,
- 0:17Speaker 1: Alex we are a week away. There is early voting
- 0:19Speaker 1: going on right now here in New York City, and
- 0:22Speaker 1: you have to be involved. I heard over eighty thousand
- 0:25Speaker 1: people have already voted, according to Jen Kelly host the
- 0:30Speaker 1: name of nine something the answer. We need that number
- 0:33Speaker 1: to be up because I think the more that vote,
- 0:36Speaker 1: the less Mum Donnie has a chance. I just feel
- 0:39Speaker 1: like that's the math. I feel like that's the math
- 0:46Speaker 1: the whole thing about is and comparing what she had
- 0:50Speaker 1: to go through out of nine eleven to the three
- 0:51Speaker 1: thousand people that died on nine to eleven. Come on,
- 0:54Speaker 1: this guy can't be elected. He's two days older than me.
- 0:58Speaker 1: He's two days older than me this Monday, and he
- 1:01Speaker 1: seems dumber and not wise and with the same age,
- 1:08Speaker 1: I could run the city better. And I really haven't
- 1:10Speaker 1: run a company. I know that's the whole dig on him.
- 1:13Speaker 1: And he's not run any company. I haven't really run either,
- 1:15Speaker 1: but I know the city. I have leadership skills, but
- 1:19Speaker 1: that's neither here nor there. We are a weak away
- 1:22Speaker 1: and everything feels in chaos with the government not open
- 1:28Speaker 1: with they openly about socialists, and more importantly, someone who's
- 1:34Speaker 1: not condemned hummus entirely, if at all, and is not
- 1:39Speaker 1: condemned anti Jewish, I should say anti Semitic phrases, anti
- 1:47Speaker 1: Jewish phrases. And who says on the debate stage, Well,
- 1:51Speaker 1: my fellow Jewish New Yorkers, that's not cutting it. And
- 1:55Speaker 1: I hope for the thousands that are showing up already
- 1:58Speaker 1: they show him it's not cutting it. And I think
- 2:02Speaker 1: of Frank Morano out in Saten Island. He's got a
- 2:05Speaker 1: chance to be reelected and fully get a full term
- 2:09Speaker 1: in council, which would be so freaking cool. My radio
- 2:13Speaker 1: mentor on the council side, and also my radio mentor, Ernisliva,
- 2:17Speaker 1: who of course is running on the mayoral side. And
- 2:20Speaker 1: you know, I'm glad he hasn't dropped out, because if
- 2:24Speaker 1: he did, it would be an unprecedented moment where there
- 2:28Speaker 1: wouldn't be a GOP on the back. You know, there
- 2:30Speaker 1: would be, but there wouldn't be a GOP running if
- 2:32Speaker 1: he dropped out, But now it's a week away, He's
- 2:34Speaker 1: not gonna go anywhere, which I applaud him for. Cuomo's
- 2:38Speaker 1: not going anywhere. So here we are, we're stuck with three.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Two's a company, Three's growed. I mean, this is insane,
- 2:49Speaker 1: and I wish this insanity would just ease up for
- 2:53Speaker 1: a minute. I still feel like with a week to go,
- 2:59Speaker 1: there could be a scandal that breaks against Mom Donnie
- 3:05Speaker 1: or Cuomo someone that pushes them out. But every scandal
- 3:11Speaker 1: they've tried to break on Mom Donnie, no one's listening,
- 3:15Speaker 1: no one cares. So what if be smelled with a
- 3:18Speaker 1: co conspirader of the nineteen ninety three World Trades and
- 3:21Speaker 1: are bombing? Who cares? Right? Well, we all should care
- 3:24Speaker 1: about that. Who cares that Mom Donnie has seemingly live
- 3:31Speaker 1: about his ant's story? And who really cares right that
- 3:39Speaker 1: he uh has not denounced any anti Semitic phrases? We
- 3:48Speaker 1: should care about that. Here at one Lego Alex News,
- 3:51Speaker 1: we do care about that. He should not be anywhere
- 3:55Speaker 1: near city Hall at all. And so we have a choice.
- 4:01Speaker 1: I did my vote earlier for early voting. We have
- 4:05Speaker 1: a choice. You have a choice. But I cannot stand
- 4:10Speaker 1: living in this chaos for another day of a government
- 4:14Speaker 1: shut down and three people trying to get the mayoral election,
- 4:19Speaker 1: trying to get to city Hall. Something's got to give.
- 4:25Speaker 1: If a World Series game can be tied for eighteen
- 4:31Speaker 1: innings and then unbroken in inning eighteen by who else,
- 4:35Speaker 1: Freddy Freeman, then we shure us how can untie this
- 4:40Speaker 1: election conundrum? An election gridlock? And maybe the eighteenth inning
- 4:49Speaker 1: will be Tuesday for this election. But it shure usself
- 4:55Speaker 1: felt like a long journey, hasn't it With everybody still
- 4:58Speaker 1: in it. He's still on the ballot, by the way,
- 5:03Speaker 1: It's gonna be a mess, and I've kind of equipped.
- 5:08Speaker 1: I'll say that quip here. What if the Democrats just
- 5:13Speaker 1: brought boatloads of ballots for Cuomo, maybe that would be
- 5:20Speaker 1: the answer. Or someone leaked something about Mamdani that'll be
- 5:28Speaker 1: so salacious that they can't even keep him on the ballot,
- 5:31Speaker 1: keep him in the election. But overall, through the shutdown,
- 5:40Speaker 1: through the chaos of the next week or so, God
- 5:44Speaker 1: is watching us and watching over the city and this country,
- 5:53Speaker 1: and he will not let us fail. He will all
- 5:57Speaker 1: always hold us up. And you know what else, no
- 6:00Speaker 1: matter what happens a week ago today, I predict America,
- 6:04Speaker 1: the United States, and New York City will be resilient
- 6:08Speaker 1: through this, no matter if a socialist who seems to
- 6:12Speaker 1: be anti a cop and anti and anti Jewish to
- 6:16Speaker 1: an extent, a large extent. The city has weathered a
- 6:22Speaker 1: lot of crap and I think we can weather it again.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But let's not get there. Let's vote common sensibly. Let's
- 6:33Speaker 1: vote with hopefully the way that eighty thousands people who've
- 6:38Speaker 1: already voted over the weekend want to vote, which is
- 6:43Speaker 1: prayer ferlly and I hope for either Sliwa or Cuoma
- 6:51Speaker 1: because actually take more votes away from Mamdani. That would help.
- 6:56Speaker 1: That would help. So that's the goal, that we take
- 6:59Speaker 1: more votes away fromm made the chips fall where they may.
- 7:03Speaker 1: But at the end of the election day, we have
- 7:05Speaker 1: to make sure we continue to have one leg up
- 7:07Speaker 1: for New York City. And can these congress people and
- 7:12Speaker 1: senators finally agree on something, please? Twenty eight days of shutdown?
- 7:21Speaker 1: Twenty eight days feels harrowing, doesn't It feels odd and
- 7:37Speaker 1: we shouldn't stand for it, and we also shouldn't accept
- 7:40Speaker 1: these politicians are still taking home a paycheck even after this,
- 7:43Speaker 1: even as to shut down rolls odd while the hardworking
- 7:48Speaker 1: government employees get nothing. As Curtis will say, ooh gots well,
- 7:59Speaker 1: May God fill our cups again here in New York
- 8:01Speaker 1: and in the Washington DC area, and may there be
- 8:06Speaker 1: resolutions to all of this, and may we have one
- 8:12Speaker 1: leg up over the chaos that will be the next
- 8:15Speaker 1: week leading up to election Day twenty twenty five.
